Pompano Beach Reviews

Due to travel circumstances we were only able to visit the beach and pier one afternoon and evening. The beach near the pier is wide and flat, with enough area to accommodate plenty of people without feeling crowded. There are permanent public restrooms not far from the pier, as well as restaurants. My wife thought the Hollywood beach was better but I think they are comparable. Lots of people fish off the pier, and it offers a great view. It is quite active in the evening as well.

Beachcombers were on the beach each morning by 6 AM cleaning and making sure that there was no lcarge debris left on it.

The beach is very nice and not crowded. The sand fine and all is clean. Food for walking and relaxing.

Know their things Fast and friendly very amazing team here in Pompano. Shout out to Jean Elson and Marvens. Always nice spending time on this beach with the Boucher Brothers team

Love Pompano beach and the new area around the pier!! All the new restaurants are great, Lucky Fish, Oceans and Beach House and the parking garage pretty big but just in case the weekends go early!!

Umbrella and chair rental is an absolute must if you do not have your own on Pompano Beach. Marvin was very friendly and super helpful. Given the Florida heat wave, he was pleasant and unbothered. Kudos to him!

Had a great experience at the beach with my friends the other day, while walking on the beach I came across jaeshawn who was very excited to show us a good time and vibe to the music he was nice and energetic

I live off the beach in POMPANO ,the beach is usually well maintained but lately a lot of sea weed build up on the beach has a smell to it.A better job could be done.

The beach was clean, and an active sea turtle nesting area. Great breezes, and plenty of space to spread out.

We have been to Fort Lauderdale many times and this is the first time that we have been to Pompano beach. It is much more quiet and relaxing. I actually now prefer this to the craziness of Fort Lauderdale. We will definatly be back.

We choosed a condo 2 blocks from the beach which was allrigth, the beach was always full of seaweed, and cloudy.

In no place you get warnings about the existence of so much seaweed, which is disgusting

We spent a week in a condo looking at the beach. It was never crowded and we enjoyed walking on the beach. The sand is quite soft and a bit difficult to walk on, so we mostly enjoyed using the adjacent sidewalk and the views of the ocean. We saw tons of Man of War or jelly fish, so you had to be very careful where you walk. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance of the beach.

Beautiful public beach. Nice public promenade recently updated. Plenty of restrooms, lifeguard stations, pavilions, and grills. A few restaurants within walking distance. Lost fish has nice outdoor dining. Briny Irish Pub is longstanding establishment with live music.

Nice beach with chair/umbrella service. The water was great. No food options or vendors close to our location.

Stayed there last week and it was really not crowded for a holiday week. The only bad thing was a seaweed bloom which was along the shoreline. Great views and clean sand. Worth visiting!

Love this beach and the surrounding area! The Pier is my favorite spot to sit, relax and people watch! Nice shade on hot days! It's a clean beach and the area is clean! Restroom is nearby and the restaurants are inviting!
Plenty of paid parking and I love how the price is reduced in the Fall. Something for everybody and a little park for kids, as well. I love the discount days specials especially at the restaurant directly across the street from the Pier. The area feels very safe with patrols in sight.

If you're squeamish in the seaweed, check before you come. Nice beach, warm water. Bring beach shoes as the sand is super hot! Lots of places to access the beach for free. You might need to pay to park but it's worth it.

Love the tour. Christine was great. All the stops were excellent. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Great family spot to dine, snack, shop, swim, walk, and relax. Parking is by meter. There are parking garages. You can upload the Circuit app and get around using the shuttle.

First time to Pompano Beach. Rented a house a block over from A1 and it was less than a 10 minute walk to the beach. Very uncrowded (maybe a result of the Covid crap). Nice beach, a lot of sea grass though, but not horrible. We'll be back.

Nice area- great place to walk the beach. Not too crowded- Usually good water temperature for swimming.

Chinaud helped us right away! He answered my questions quickly on what options he had for us. We went with just the umbrella and he had it sent up in 30 seconds ready for us to use. Definitely coming back

All the installations are great. Sand is perfect and the beach is clean. You can find places with less people if you prefer. Easy to access and lots of parking.

We went on a Friday before noon and it was pleasantly un crowded. We had our own chairs so not sure about rentals. We loved it here.

We spent 3 days here and enjoyed many walks on the beach enjoying the sand, water, and people along the way. The beach is kept clean and groomed daily!

First time at Pompano Beach. If you are familiar with the Atlantic side of Florida, this beach is much like many of the beaches in South Florida. You can't go wrong. Miles and miles of beautiful sandy beach. Just what we were looking for on our vacation.

Booked a fat bed at the beach with William. He was absolutely amazing . Very friendly and professional. Cant wait to come back next week.

Great parks and beaches, awesome restaurant choices. Close to just about everything. Local government appears to have great plans for future development. New municipal pier will be opening in 2020.

Just spent a week on Pompano Beach. The weather was good 5 of the 7 days so on the good days we spent hours on the beach soaking up the sun and enjoying the waves (the water was rough most days).

Jae was very helpful and had great customer service. Very respectful young man and I’ll definitely be back.

Had a wonderful hour just strolling on the board walk, enjoying the art displays, the water features and of course the sounds and sights of the ocean. Plenty of public parking available, lots of restaurants and ice cream shops. Where E Atlantic Avenue ends the beach here has a wheelchair friendly rubber mat kind of extension so someone in a wheelchair can roll further out towards the water. This is at the intersection of E Atlantic Avenue and N Pompano Beach Blvd.

The customer service was great I was lucky enough to run into a kind gentleman named Jaeshawn. He was very helpful and informative. He made the whole experience one of a kind! Anything I needed he was there, any questions he had answers! Spectacular person and I would like to say thank you for making my vacation worthwhile!

I was planning a ‘just because’ picnic for my husband & wanted to make sure I had some beach chairs and an umbrella. Earlier in the week, I met Jaeshawn who was very efficient & professional.

The morning of the picnic, Jaeshawn wasn’t available however he was able to relay to his coworker, Deon, that I was coming to set up. I arrived & everything was set up and ready to go. Deon even helped me set up my picnic table!!

These guys definitely deserve a raise! I’ll definitely be back.

Very clean, hot sandy beach. There was a bit of seaweed but not much. Clearly the water was a just right Temperature. Sunny, bright n beautiful.

This beach is beautiful, and very little crowds compared to Ft Lauderdale sand is great and on a good day you can see up and down the coast

If you like walking on sand that is more like gravel this is a beach for you. Like gravel then you might also enjoy getting bit by lots of sand fleas. Sand fleas love to feed on seaweed and there is plenty there. Cant upset the sea turtle nests so beach can not be properly cleaned. Love the area hated the beach. Also numerous fishing lines with hooks included. Next time will stick to Jersey or Maryland beaches.

the beach was wonderful, and the sand was very fine. Chinaud is was the best part of my families pompano beach experience, he was so nice, and treated us as he had known us personally. He has a extremely welcoming energy radiating from him. Me and my family needed 7 chairs, and chinaud dragged all of them to the spot we requested without issue, talk about hard working! We love chinaud❤️❤️❤️

Chinaud was great and very welcoming. Rentals are worth it if you plan on spending some time there. Beach was beautiful.

Waves perfect for swimming and playing. Turtle nests so you must be careful. Shells everywhere, unfortunately quite a bit of trash as well ☹️

Great family beach with plenty of parking and a little of everything you need! I was especially amused by the 4ft Iguana that crossed the foot path behind me from one grove of bush to another without a care in the world... just looking for the next mid-day resting spot! The water is super warm and there are plenty of little fish around to amuse you if you like snorkeling.

Great time on the beach! The rental service is awesome! Definitely recommended! We had such a relaxing day enjoying the place, sand, and ocean breeze. Everything was super convenient — from the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect beach day. The equipment was clean, comfortable, and in great condition, which made the whole experience even better. It was so nice to not worry about carrying heavy chairs or umbrellas ourselves. We just showed up and started having fun right away. I would absolutely choose this service again and encourage anyone visiting the area to try it out for an easy and enjoyable beach experience!

I’ve came to pompano a few times to see my family in America, and most people don’t understand my accent, and it makes it hard to find someone to understand me. I went to purchase chairs for me and my son, and Chinaud was very attentive and understood, and listened very hard to what I had to say!! Chinaud is the best, hire more like him!!!

Beautiful beach. It has a very nice pier for fishermen and for tourists who wish to visit. Excellent bars and restaurants.

Richard was amazing! We rented umbrellas and the process was smooth and fast! If you come to Pompano beach make sure you ask for Richard.

Great as always. My third stay and can't wait to go again!! Everyone was very friendly. The place is always very clean and immaculate.

I used to visit this beach just because it was the closest one to where I lived. Fast forward 20 years and what a difference Pompano has made. Now I go because it has a lot to offer. I primarily hang out around the end of Atlantic Blvd. Flanking the beach is a wide sidewalk perfect for strolling. I came on a Friday night to get some exercise and snap some pictures. I wasn't alone as there were plenty of people enjoying the early evening breeze. Thankfully there is plenty of parking between the spots along the sidewalk, the municipal lots, and the brand new parking garage.

There is so much for everyone here. You can find a splash pad fountain, clean restrooms, lifeguard stations on the beach, showers, the Snack Shack serving food, snacks, drinks, and ice cream, a playground, picnic tables, pavilions, and grills for picnics, fitness equipment, bike rentals, and even charging stations for you electric car. That is not even including the brand new Beach House restaurant that is not to be missed. Once the pier is rebuilt and the construction finished on the fishing village area they are building this is going to be a premier destination in Broward County.

On the night I visited I stumbled on the food truck event at the pier event that is held every third Friday of the month. I love how Pompano is setting up cool events like this. They are sinking a lot of money into this area which it deserves. The beach is the gem of the city. Pompano Beach is turning into an area you want to linger instead of just driving through.

Went out to the beach to enjoy some sun with friends. Beach was perfectly kept and had a great time! Big thanks to Cameron for getting us some chairs and a umbrella! Help beat the heat! Will definitely be returning in the future.

They have done a beautiful job on this beach. Clean and attractive. Haven't had a problem yet with parking. Handy showers and love the walk way to the beach.

Had such a great time at pompano beach for my first time visiting Florida. I usually don’t like going to beaches but hey I gave it another try in a different state. And man was it amazing. Met one of the workers Jaeshawn and he was an amazing help with everything and boy is he funny a funny individual he makes a sad day turn bright again I will be back to this beach again hope to see jaeshawn again

First off I want to start by saying I truly enjoyed my weekend at the beach! The experience and service provide by the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, they catered to our ever needs and made our day amazing I want to give a special thanks and appreciation to one staff member that went above and beyond with his exemplary efforts to satisfy us to the fullest, Jaeshawn was his name and that’s a name I’ll never forget when we make a trip back to Pompano Beach. You guys are lucky to have a hard working employee like Jaeshawn!! He deserves a raise point blank period!!!

I was not to sure where everything was at first so since it being me and my wife and children first time at this particular beach. But I was greeted by Akai and he was amazingly helpful with directions and actually guided us a long the way as well service was amazing by the young man.

Nice quiet area on beach. Not touristy over crowded. There a couple casinos near by, if that is your thing. Plenty of great eating places.overall relaxing vacation.

We’ve been staying here for several years and love all the restaurants and bike paths along the beach. It’s less crowded than Ft Lauderdale, and quite lovely.

We spent a great day at Pompano Beach. Parking is directly adjacent to the beach. The beach itself is clean and spacious. The water was warm and relatively easy to walk into. There are public washrooms nearby and a snack bar.

The beach was very nice as well as the stroll through the different shops. Parking was pretty easy and reasonable.

Like the Pompano Beach area. Here for a fishing tournament. Not too built up yet. Like th3 new pier and the new restaurants. Clean area too.

William that handles the beach rentals has been awesome! He’s helped my wife and I with our four kids get set up every day since getting here Saturday. He’s very helpful, insightful, and just a nice all around person. I would highly recommended working with William when you get to the beach, he will make sure you are well set up for the day ahead.

The beach was only a 15‑minute drive from our hotel, and the weather was perfect at 82°F. The area is clean, relaxing, and a great spot to hang out with the family. Our kids had a wonderful time! There are restaurants nearby and convenient parking available. We definitely recommend it.

Each year pompano beach gets more and more new things around it. The parking lot and parking garage are nice because they are right there on the beach. They have a nice turf area where you will often times see people sitting or doing yoga. The beach itself is clean. They are also adding more shops and bars and restaurants right there on the beach front. They are doing a nice job revamping that area and giving it a face lift.

Shout out to the man Jaeshawn for helpin us out today. Need more people like him fr great customer service, well spoken and all. You need any help ask for him!

Parking is expensive but the beach is beautiful. There is a nice little park right on the beach with Adirondack chairs painted in nice beachy colors. Beautiful photo opportunity spot.

It was 78 degreesF and just perfect time to spend time on the beach in the afternoon. The water was not too cold.
The beach is quieter, less crowded, clean and water was a pretty aqua color and clear. Perfect for kids to play and the tides were low. Great place to run(on the beach/off the beach sidewalks).Meter parking street side available. Life guards were on duty. Experience it!

I used to love this beach until recently,I can’t believe the debris all over..almost stepped on a jellyfish cause you couldn’t see it with all the trash everywhere...great beach gone horrible,hopefully they will do some beach cleanup in this area

A lot more laid back than Lauderdale, not as much traffic and great beaches. Limited nightlife and restaurants. Good restaurant are still expensive but some less expensive options if you look hard.

A beautiful beach for long walks and to relax and swim. Unfortunately it rained here, but for the short time the next day at sunrise it was mega!

My interactions at this beach has exceeded my expectations, We met Jeashawn (one of the umbrella guys) who was quick, attentive and polite with helping us getting settled with our chairs and umbrellas as it was an extremely hot day! He also had great recommendations as far as food and restaurants goes. He made our trip very pleasant. We’ll definitely be back

Becoming a nicer beach front. Not as nice as the Hillsboro beach but it is upgrading and it is nice to see.

Loved our day on the beach! Cameron set us up with everything we needed! We though we were just getting a daybed with a cabana but they also come with chairs and umbrellas! Pleasantly surprised.

If you’re ever in the area, make sure you stop by and see the sexy beach attendant. Whether you’re going to buy a cabana or not, he’s super friendly and made my friends visit the best ever! They came from out of town and he told us all of the cool spots in the area to hit up for lunch and drinks!

Shaun was awesome. He took care of us every day of the week. Any request was accommodated. Shaun made our trip memorable and convenient with us bringing a small baby. Will come back to this spot in future visits for sure.

It is always great to walk by the beach in the morning and Pompano Beach is a good one to go for. Nice and clean.

Pompano 🌴 Beach is really one of the nicest beaches in South Florida. They are adding new places to dine all the time. The Pier is almost finished and looks amazing. There is a park for children. Yoga on Sundays. Concerts and events monthly.

Elson was a great help and friend to us, he made the stay very enjoyable and was on top of everything before it became a noticeable issue.

Pampano Beach is a great place to visit. We even did a little shoppin. Just do not stay at LaCosta Beach Resort. That place is a dive.

We were on a get a way for the Holidays and enjoyed Pompano Beach and Pier. The guys would hit the pier for fishing and the gals would lay on the beach for sun. The water was pretty cool but a lot of people were in it in late December.

clean, quiet, white,docile beach. No tourists! just local families. great for picnic., lounge for the day, and read a book. No noisy kids

I could not believe the beach. It was covered in seaweed. They had sea turtle eggs everywhere so cleaning the beach was not done well or often enough. The jet ski rentals had to close early because the seaweed getting in them. I understand they cant control nature but it's not hard to clean it up. You couldn't swim or even get into the water. I'll find a cleaner beach next time. 1 good thing. Fireworks was amazing. We sat on the beach and watched them set off from a barge in the ocean.

The condo we stayed in was just across the street from the beach. Easy walk. The beach was clean and enjoyable. There were people swimming in the ocean.

The most serene time is during sunrise when volunteers are roping off sea turtle nests during the month of June. The sand gets raked around sunrise as well, so if you are in search of sea glass and shells, right before sunrise is the best time. There were parts of the beach that had brownish seaweed washing up however it changes with the tide. If you are going during the heat of the day, sandals are a must since the sand gets extremely hot. Nice beach if you’re staying at a nearby resort.

Pompano Beach is a little quieter, less crowded, less hectic than it's neighbors to the South starting with Fort Lauderdale. The beach is clean, water is a pretty aqua color and rather clear.

Jamal was very helpful and kind , will be renting again! The cabana was very comfortable and shady from the sun. Also very close to the water !

Couldn’t resist walking and wading. The sand is soft and the beach isn’t crowded. Coming from crowded NJ, this is a breath of fresh air.

Very nice staff member named Elson. Very helpful with setting up the umbrella while we were at pompano beach. We wanted an umbrella and he helped us out.

Very good staff and service. The location is wonderful. Sitting inside the cabana is so relaxing and cheerful. Kids play peacefully inside the cabana even during windy weather. Highly recommended!

Cameron, the attendant at Pompano Beach is super! We have been using the chair service for a few years and had a question about our membership- he made sure to speak with his management and answered us promptly and could not have been more professional.

The chairs and umbrellas are always in good condition and are clean and comfortable! Just wish you would start putting them past the pier a bit further (around life guard station 6,7,8) earlier in the season.

This area is a favorite of mine with its beautiful views and a lovely beach. The downtown Pompano Beach park is fun and then a few steps and you are on the beach!

Chinaud was great! It was such a busy beach day but he was very helpful & made it so easy to get settled!

Quiet beach, clean, sometimes we can't control nature. like wind, sea weeds,but I live 10 minutes away and it is a great place to walk, wait for a full moon to come out that will turn even the coldest guy into a romantic person, at least for a couple hours.
Holding hands, breath in the ocean waves and be thankful to life.

In order to help the turtles, everyone blocks their lights at night and it's way too dark to safely walk the beach. But we've seen the baby turtles hatch and head for the water, so it's a small price to pay. Can't wait for the new pier to open!

Pompano Beach offers a large beach that was sparkling clean. The sun shines off the sandy beach. Parking is somewhat limited, but there are some metered spots. Around the beach is the Pompano Pier. There also are some walkways if you do not want to walk entirely in the sand. Tip: Go early for any chance to find metered parking.

The beach was beautiful and so relaxing!! I really enjoyed that it was so clean! William was our beach attendant and he was outgoing and pleasant to speak to. Whenever I’m in town, I’d stop by again!

Had a very pleasant experience coming to pompano beach! Cameron, who was there to rent the chairs, was very attentive, very nice, and offered great explanations to all my questions. Well worth the money for getting there early and having the daybed for five to six hours.

Cameron was awesome. We absolutely loved him. He was very accommodating and polite. Whenever you’re at Pompano Beach ask for Cameron for assistance. You’ll be glad you did.

I Stayed here for a month to escape northern snow and found it to be a fun place. It is on the beach in a good location next to 14th street causeway so getting anywhere was easy. The room had a xkitchenette with a large refrigerator and an ocean view. The staff was very friendly and accommodating from Jason, Gina and the staff at the front desk to the bartenders in the bar/restaurant. A hot and cold breakfast is also served. It is children and dog friendly! I do recommend it.

I had a great day lounging on the beach with my family. Sean from “Bouchet Brothers” was awesome in setting up our beach beds and umbrellas, it felt like a five star luxury experience!

Jaeshawn was more than accommodating!

Spent week in RCI trade at Hilton Sea Gardens. Perfect weather (80s sunny) all week. Beach is great, and accommodations were great also.

We stayed here for one night only. The hotel which we originally booked was shut down due to a power failure. It was the Miami boat show weekend...No rooms close available. Found 2 rooms at Ocean Beach resorts...they usually go for $243/night. As they found out our plight...we (our friends and us) were charged $400.02 each !! We were shocked, held hostage on the rate as it was now 9 pm and we were too tired to argue. Never, never, never would I recommend this place after that type of behavior. The rooms were clean but OLD. Need to be redone. NOT even worth the $243.

Jaeshawn service was Great he went beyond he help me and my kids with the Cooler it’s customer service can’t be topped.

Took out our lawn chairs and set up on the sand to enjoy the sun, breeze, palms, people, waves and ocean. Just a beautiful wide beach not crowded at all. She napped and got some tan while I enjoyed watching the sail boats go by with a cargo ship in the background. We could see the newly renovated pier north of our position. I caught up on my custom car reading. Very relaxing. Nice walkway to beach off Ocean Blvd at 13th St S/E.

We met our daughter and her husband for a day at the beach. It was a 2 hourish drive from Naples but it was well worth it to see them and this gorgeous beach. Next time instead of a day trip we'll rent one of the many nearby condos and stay a few days.
The beach is very nice and clean. The water was clear unlike the red tide we have to deal with on the gulf side. We will definitely return and try many of the restaurants nearby.

Loved the beach. Unfortunately not my favorite as it is not as clear as Pensacola or Destin but worth a trip anyway. Beach semi covered with sea weed but city does rack periodically.

The tractors would come out about 6:30 and start cleaning up the beach of all the seaweed that had washed up. Some travelers would not give them room and they had to go around them but they were polite and did a good job. The beach gets busy quick but if you walk to the right a block it starts to thin out more and is not as busy.

Great beach spot, rent chairs umbrellas, bathroom, playground and food options all available. Great 😊

Nice to look at but the water had a lot of weeds floating in. We stay at Wynham so they had beach chairs & other amenities as well. The beach down the road Fort Lauderdale is much nicer.

William is awesome! He helped us with our umbrella and chairs on several occasions. He also kept on eye on our chairs when we were swimming or eating lunch. We really enjoyed getting to know him!

The beach is nice, the parking is close, and the facilities are very nice. We have spent several afternoons at this beach and have had a great time.

I would skip this beach Lauderdale by thr 2 miles south us a lot nicer. This beach has a lot of construction going and less restaraunts. Lauderdale by the sea has more to do and is very family friendly

Right now is the best time for SoFla, 60's and 70's, low humidity and sunny blue skies with a light sea breeze most days. The new Pompano Beach Pier is still closed as of today but looks like it is close to opening.

The City and staff who maintain the beach should be commended! There are plenty of places to sit, which are neat and clean, plus great places for a picnic! Walking along the shore is a blessing - since they have the beach cleaned daily!

Beautiful beach! Beach chairs and umbrella are great while at the beach. We have the season pass, and we come here at least once a week. Cameron always helps us with setting everything up and is great, always very helpful!

Jean was great. Setup was really quick. The daybed was clean. The price was reasonable and there’s many options to choice from.

Pompano Beach is large with tan sand, lots of water sports. They have facilities, life guards, parking. Lots of things to do in area.

Loved the chairs and cabana. William and Anthony took care of us. We had to get there before 10 in order to get a cabana they were going so fast!

Chinaud nickson gives outstanding customer service, from the second we approached the beach he attended us within seconds to make sure we were greeted. He is probably one of the most genuine reps and always puts a smile on our faces when we arrive. He goes above and beyond to make sure we’re taken care of. If there were 10 stars I’d give him 10. He deserves a promotion and he is the reason we come back to the same location every time. We need more reps like chinaud, well mannered and good etiquette.

Came to Florida for two weeks and rented beach chairs at pompano beach with boucher brothers. Jean was amazing and we ended up coming to this beach over and over because of his service. Always look for him with the Boucher brothers if you are visiting he’s the best!!!

Jaeshawn was really helpful. It was my first time down here in Florida and he showed me around and make sure that i was good and understood where everything is. I hope he gets a raise or something. Great Job

We made a stop at Pompano beach to take a walk along the beach. We enjoyed the sun and the sights. They are building and opening new things every year.

Pompano Beach has one of the best beaches. It is cleaned often, has a minimum of large groups if disruptive beach goers and always great to walk. Cleaned daily and monitored sporadically. Just love it!! The area is equally wonderful. Just the right size. I will say, Publix is on a par with NYC Whole Foods. If you don’t move fast enough, you will get pushed aside or cursed.

Pompano beach is a great place. It is a little less congested than other nearby towns and has a great offering of places to eat and things to do. The town offers a free shuttle service that is tremendous called the circuit. There are fewer high rise buildings than other nearby beach towns. The beach is beautiful.

you can walk down to the lighthouse but make sure you go at low tide as there are now big bolders to protect homes from erosion so you can not make it all the way unless it is at low tide great place to watch the boats come through from inter coastal

Beautiful beach. Very comfortable. It has very good restaurants and bars with sea view.The pier is very nice too.
The sea has clear and transparent water, gentle waves, very pleasant temperature.

We visited during a very windy day and the kite surfers were out and loving it. There were about 30 guys up and down Pompano Beach from the pier to lighthouse. Some were able to jump up to what seemed like 30-40 feet high.

Next day it was calm and relaxing, water is nice and warm.

The beach is clean, except for what is washed ashore. There is very little seaweed. Not too many young rowdy people, mostly older crowd and families.

Chinaud was just so excellent👌🏼 The beach was glorious. Really wish the chairs came with cushions, but everyone was so friendly. And the lifeguards were Bay Watch approved😜

Bathrooms should be open earlier for walkers and early morning beach people. The beach is beautiful and life guards are on duty and busiest times of the day.

Stan was very helpful and friendly! I would recommend getting a cabana at the beach always! It gets so hot and this was perfect shade. Enough space for me and my 2 other friends.

Quiet lovely beach that is just beach. Gorgeous light house on the inlet where you can go fishing. Can fish from the beach too. Lots of sea turtle nests and even a rare least tern nesting site!! No boardwalk or carnival things like Ocean City. Family friendly.

I came to the beach recently, and Akai I believe it was came to help my daughter and I. He made sure to have us set up with an umbrella in a nice open spot, he did one commendable thing as well helping me set up my daughter’s mini tent set since he was familiar with it.

Great place for a couples beach trip! Always a great time for myself and my wife! Wonderful. LOL! Will be back again!

Pompano Beach is a nice wide beach but not great for walking. Your feet kind of sink int the sand. Lots of Men-of-War strewn at waters edge. The swimming is good.

Definitely one of my favorite beaches I have visited. The bathrooms were clean and I enjoyed having lifeguards on duty watching. It wasn’t too crowded and I didn’t see much trash on the beach.

The wife and I took a visit on a Tuesday before heading to the airport. There was construction going on, but there is plenty of parking to access to beach. Beaches are clean and the wave action was mild when we were there. Hardly anyone on the beach, very peaceful. Away from the beach, there were very few bugs due to the millions of dragonflies.

Jamal was very nice & helpful. He took care of everything I needed and was eager to help. He made sure I had everything that I needed.

Beautiful beach, nice and wide, plus a pier you can walk. Come early to get parking, but even then it's very expensive.

The beach area has been given a beautiful transformation by way of the Community Redevelopment Agency. We now have a beautiful, wide beach with soon to be three oceanfront restaurants, a new designer pier, a unique parking garage, and shops to be part of the fishing village theme. The short stroll to the new water taxi area to discover the Intracoastal waterway for the day, is another reason Pompano Beach is now a favorite destination. Those of us locals have waited a long time for what is now taking place, and there is more on the drawing board. It's no longer a sleepy little town, north of Fort Lauderdale.

Had a great day with friends at Pompano Beach this Saturday! We rented a daybed from Boucher Brothers, and it made the experience even better. The staff were super friendly, warm, and helpful — really made us feel welcome. Prices were very reasonable, especially compared to the more crowded and expensive spots in South Florida. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a relaxed beach day! 🌴☀️

William was very nice and great to talk to. He was working a large area by himself and was very accommodating.

Amazing day at the beach! Make sure you talk to Cameron, he will hook you up. He works over by the blue and white umbrellas that say Boucher Brothers. He’ll help you set up chairs for optimal tanning/people watching. He honestly is the best! Also Pompano is a way nicer beach than most other parts of south Florida so it’s got that going for it too.

Pompano is sort of a hidden Gem outside of Fort Lauderdale. Semi private kind of feel. Water is warm and inviting. There is plenty to do and crowds are not a problem.

This place is very relaxing. I spent an hour walking on the beach. It was very peaceful and really clean. The water is also crystal clear and warm.

This is a large beach area with a parking garage across from it. Several eating establishments and most of all clean bathrooms on the beach!

Boucher Brothers rentals all the way! Fantastic service and a great way to spend the day at the beach. Rented a cabana, daybed and umbrella - all well worth it!

Jay was AMAZING! Very polite and professional! We were celebrating a birthday and he even took time to say happy birthday to the young lady in our party! While sitting there we saw how hard working this young man was! He was going nonstop! From one end to the beach to the next end (Management needs to do better on proving a means for them to get to one end to the next though. He could've been more sufficient if there was such thing). This man showed great work ethic! Dion was also amazing! Both were very helpful to my party and by the looks of it, to others! Even those not renting! Thank you Jay and Dion for adding on some additional flavor to our birthday Beach party! I hope to use you guys again!

This is a nice place to be. It’s a very nice beach. Has lots of space for families. There’s plenty of places to walk around at is very walkable.

We were on the beach for two days, great sun and breeze! I found that there were not any shore birds. Water was pleasant, but had to be aware rip currents.

The water was so warm, and so was the evening air. Good for a vacation. I wouldn't want to work in such warm muggy air, though. I respect the service people who work every day during the hot season.

My day at this beach has exceeded my expectations, I came across Jaeshawn (one of the umbrella guys) who was quick, attentive and polite with helping me getting settled with the chairs and umbrellas as it was an extremely hot day! He also had great recommendations as far as food and restaurants goes. He made our trip very pleasant. Ill definitely be coming back on my off days

We return to Pompano Beach yearly. The beach is manicured, so clean and so are the public bathrooms. It is possible to walk a good few miles, unencumbered in a safe, clean environment. There are parks for the children and a work out area. There are occasional free concerts at night. Good food is available, or picnic with a grill.Try Razzleberries for ice cream, Mora Grill, and Carlucci's for pizza.

Eh, I’ve been to many beaches that are better. Don’t get me wrong, it’s pretty in certain spots. But it can also be full of seaweed, which has been really bad the past two times I’ve been down this way. I know there’s going to be seaweed considering it’s the beach, but it just seems to pile up and instead of hauling it out, tractors come out on the beach and just rake sand over it. Now, the new pier is pretty, and the park nearby the pier is nice, and the sunrises are just amazing no matter what, but they’ve got to do something about the weeds of the sea.

Pompano was a very nice clean beach. Allot less populated then the bigger more popular beaches. No many places to dine like in FLL, but if we are just judging the beach - it was great!

The beach was nice. There's some umbrella's and tents to rent which is nice. There's also a little snack bar with drinks and food reasonably priced. The once disappointment on the area is that there are no small coffee shops or cafes to sit and get a drink. Of course there's a few nice bars.

The beach was clean, except the seaweed all along the beach, the water was somewhat clear, a bit murky but not as bad as Myrtle, The Outer Banks or Ocean City. The beach was not to crowded and people were having a great time. We will go back to this beach because our daughter lives in the area, i just wish the city would remove the seaweed at least first thing in the morning.

I’m not sure his name i beileive it was Jaeshawn if I’m not mistaking but he was very helpful with everything I needed he was respectful and used great manners and intended to everything needed ...

We were impressed by how clean that the beach was not crowded at peak winter season. We walked from lighthouse to pier daily and were happy. The beach was more sloped near the water than normal but no real problem. We found accommodations great and good restaurants at every meal.

The gentleman Chinaud us was perfect he helped us get our chairs and umbrellas set up he was great and even checked on us to make sure we didn’t need anything else

Absolutely loved this beach. Super calm no big waves.
No seaweed when we went July 2023.
Great water temperature.
Has many spots to remove sand as you exit.
We parked at Seabreeze way and it was easy to find a spot and to pay with the PayByPhone app about $4 per hour.
We returned at night to the pier and though you can’t see the sunset you can still see the beautiful sky turning sunset colors.

Beach is fabulous! Pristine with an ocean that looks like a picture! Calm, clear water that allows you to see the ocean life peacefully swimming by!

First visit to Pompano Beach. We decided to stop her for a few days on our way to Key Largo. The beach are is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Shawn, the gentleman helping with chairs and umbrella, was very cordial and informative. We will definitely be back.

Sadly, when we visited the beach was covered with seaweed and did not smell very good. One would think that the city would try to remove it.

I decided to make a trip to the beach, after having a horrible day finding out my cat has cancer. And one of your workers I believe to be named Jaeshawn made my day. He approached me and noticed how unhappy I was and generously gave me words of encouragement that gave me faith. He gave me motivation to get off my ass and find some help for my little buddy.

We just moved to Pompano Beach, use to go to Hollywood Beach, and Ft Lauderdale Beach, they are always over crowded. Pompano Beach is growing with new restaurants and shopping areas

Fun Walk along the beach and Pier! Lots of fisherman and beach was filling up with sun bathers and activity. Stood on the pier and watched the fish in water and pelicans begging for bait from fishermen.

This beach looks awesome. Can't wait to enter the new fishing pier. The new restaurants (Beach House and Oceanic) are amazing. The garage is absolutely spectacular.

Excellent beach to rest with the family! Lovely, beautiful, clean and quiet. White sand and full of cones and no dirt can be seen. The sea is quite warm in the summer and quite quiet to enter with a small child. You can see the pier on one side and the lighthouse on the other, simply wonderful view and very tasty for walking. I recommend and hope to come back soon! I stayed at the Marriot Pompano and it was amazing!

Terrific beach! Lots of new places going up and plenty to see and do! I love the new pier that is almost completed along with so many new restaurants to eat or grab a drink at. The entire area is being extensively renovated which is making it a lot busier but so much fun!

Clean and with nice sidewalk access. Lots of available parking (for small by the hour rates.) Also has the Excellent (and free) pier, and Lucky Fish outdoor bar/restaurant right there. AND they have lots of lifeguards - unlike Lauderdale-but-the-Sea which has none.

I had a BLAST here at Pompano Beach! I was able to rent beach umbrellas for my group and David made sure that my experience was up to par and smooth sailing. I highly recommend Pompano Beach as a go-to spot for relaxing…and if the heat ever gets too over-bearing…ask for David!

Nice family beach with all necessity needs around the area. Street parking fare is reasonable, and plenty of restaurants and stores within few blocks. Cabana, umbrella, and beach chairs can be rented. Chinaud was very courteous and prompt in serving us with cabana and chairs. Definitely recommend using this service with family on vacation.

Thus wide open beach is groomed at sunrise daily and has a bona fide lifeguard team. Beach is great for “children of all ages”. The ancient (FL standards) Briney Pub is immediately to your right as you arrive at the beach and three new beachfront bars/restaurants are a few hundred yards to your left — adjacent to the brand new pier.

(Boucher Brothers operates in many spots in Florida that are all very professional but hard-working William can only be found at Pompano Beach!)

I really enjoyed my time at Pompano’s Beach. Out of all the beaches I’ve been to Pompano has to be my favorite one simply because of the employee that served us. I believe his name is Jay. One great guy Idk where he came from, he just has such a good personality and knows how to talk lol. Thank you y’all!

We stayed a week and had the most relaxing time. That water was clear and the temp of the water was perfection.

Visited Pompano Beach, Fl beach and pier. Parking was a free for all. Cars in no parking areas blocking the lot. Bikes and skate boards on the board walk. Loud music blaring along the boardwalk. Traffic on Pompano Beach Blvd was a nightmare. The area is not pedestrian friendly.

The beach was combed every morning, the turtles are protected, the shells I found are amazing, and the water is clear and warm. It was so easy to just walk in for a nice swim. And watching the boats go out by Lighthouse Cove was fun too.

the assistance I received from Jaeshawn was better than any other beach I’ve visited he was absolutely amazing, great service and very helpful it’s my first time visiting and I would definitely come back !

During our stay, there were sea turtles nests everywhere which were roped off for their protection. I believe this as well as the algae that was washing up on the shore and the lack of beach cleaning so as not to disturb the sea turtles had a huge effect on the quality of the beach during this visit. I did enjoy the beach but I didn't really find it great to walk around on due to the sea weed everywhere. I can see how it might be more pleasant during another time of the year.

I picked up a nice variety of shells and coral that I found on this beach. Lots of pretty things wash up here.

I also noticed that our resort (Lighthouse Cove) featured a special beach wheelchair for beach access. We were told that there were 5 of these made and donated to places up and down the beach for handicapped beach access.

This is actually a very nice beach. The only problem is that there are plastic bits and pieces EVERYWHERE. I'm not sure if it's from visitors to the beach or just crap washing up from the ocean. The point is that there are plastic particles all over the shore.

I was lost until I ran Into Jaeshawn who was the guy that helped me out. Very respectful and helpful

It was a very pleasant day.

My wife and I ate lunch at one of the picnic tables, enjoying the shade of the palm trees. We then strolled along the beach, collecting a few sea shells.

He was so nice and patient with me to set up my area to sit at on the beach. Thank you for the five star experience early morning on this beautiful Saturday! Excellent customer service. Appreciated and needed that. Thank you again Chinaud.

Lively and lovely beach. Public showers and restrooms for changing included. Nice beach bar there as well and convenient parking

Marvin and his friendly staff are helpful with chairs. Very easy parking and beach access. Also have restrooms and snack shack close by.

A+ experience. The beach is usually a stressful place but Marven was able to accommodate me in every way. I never received no for an answer and because of how well I was treated I am comfortable to keep coming to this beach. I’ve already sent friends and family to try this out and they always tell me how easy it was to get service at the beach with Marven. Thank you !!!

Sept. 2019 trip.Quiet beach cleaned every morning. Can see Hillsboro Inlet lighthouse to the north and Pompano pier to the south. Saw porpuses and 3 sea turtles from our lounge chairs. Very relaxing week. Great place for long walks. Lots of boat traffic at the inlet.

LOVE THIS LOCATION! William is always so wonderful and attentive to all customers. He works hard and is easily accessible when you need him even on days that are packed and really busy!

We went for an evening walk with friend who live nearby.It was very relaxing and enjoyable with lots of coloured lights.

Great beach with beautiful sand and water. Meter parking and nice restaurants beach House is a great restaurant

This Ocean is warm and fun to surf or ride the waves. I love the calm days when you just float out there on the water like a sea duck. I cried when our tens days to visit was over.

We had the perfect KOOL day at the beach it's super clean and what made it superb they where cabanas, umbrellas and beach chairs for rent saving us time from buying only to use for 2days plus with the heavy wind.
Shaun our beach attendant has great customer service, very knowledgeable he installed our umbrella love it.

The weather was perfect and the service was even better. The beach attendant, I believe his name was Jayden, was super friendly and communicative. Will definitely be coming back soon!

This was incredible!! We came very unprepared on vacation and Elson took great care of us providing a cabana, an umbrella and a big smile. He also
Pointed us I. The right direction whe. Our sighted was stung by something in the water.

His service and this rental was so great we will be back again tomorrow! Def worth the rental cost of the cabana!

Spent lots of time down in the area. Well kept and lots to do there. Restaurants are along the front and they have a great fishing pier. One day I saw the boys surfing out here. Lots of fun and a big beautiful beach

Im a fan of using the blue little camper things, the attendees set it up for you so easy and convenient. Jamall at the dest, he was nice and helpful

We were lucky to find a really nice town house just a short walk to the beach. Along Atlantic Blvd, heading to the beach are several really nice restaurants, bistros and ice cream parlor, as well as a small grocery store. The beach is wide and has 3 lifeguard stations. There is plenty of parking available, with meters.

Great service from Chinaud. Informative on rules and regulations clean beaches and near restaurants and restrooms. Unfortunately no coolers but we managed just fine

Young and young at the heart will find something fun to do at the Pompano Beach place. Don't forget to greet the Ranchers and Lifeguards that keep us safe!

Public beach with several access points. Huge dune . Nice walking beach, it was too old for swimming in winter season.
