So much fun to race against the car beside you! The theming was amazing and the attention to detail was so impressive. Would definitely recommend a Fastpass because the waits can exceed two hours.

This is a must go to ride! Our Granddaughters age 7 and 9 really enjoyed this ride as well as us!
Early morning is the best as the later it gets the line ups get bigger! To avoid these lineups get the Max Pass it is worth it as your not waiting in long lineups to get on most popular rides n the park and makes everyone happy in your group that you got all the rides in. We had gone on this ride 4 times using the Max Pass!

Awesome ride. The most "Disney" style ride in California Adventure. Fun ride with a story to go with it. A cruise down Route 66, through Radiator Springs, ending in a race. See all your favorite Cars characters. The only downside is that it is so popular be prepared for long wait times. Take advantage of your Fast Pass!

If you like cars, you will likely love this experience. Wow! Disney did an amazing job on the set for this ride, that alone makes it worth it. Add to it, the fu. Racing theme and this ride is a definite winner. If you can do one ride during the day and one at night, it is worth it, it is beautiful in the evening. Be prepared to fast pass this one or wait in a pretty long lineup. The single rider line is a great option of the kids are big enough and old enough (7 or over) and not scared of being in a car with strangers.

Was gonna give this 4 then remembered the detail in it and had to go 5. The ride itself is not that thrilling (or rather I thought it may be), but the attention to detail is amazing and second to none. Do it for that alone of a fan of the movie. It’s brilliant for that.

The lines for this ride are crazy so get a fastpass if you can. We rode this twice and loved it! I really thought this was just going to be another Test Track and I don't really like that ride, but this is much better! Both times we had a fastpass but had to wait in line for a while. First because there were ducks on the track and second because there was a ride issue. This is definitely one of the best rides there. It isn't really thrilling like Guardians or Incredicoaster, but still a blast!

One of the best ride’s I’ve been on! It’s worth the wait and worth going back a second time. Very beautiful sceneries and thrill fast racing. It’s so cool how you get race with another car, just like the movie!

I thought that this was a ride that was going to be overhyped, but I was so, so wrong. This ride was super exhilarating and fun, but it wasn’t too scary for a roller coaster wimp like me.
The line for this ride gets absurdly long. I definitely would recommend the single rider line if you don’t mind being split up from your party. You get on it exponentially faster that way.

We have not ridden on this ride in the past because of long lines. Recently, we tried the single rider option and a 1 1/2 hour wait became a 15 minute wait. You will not ride with anyone in your group, but act as a fill in for odd numbered parties. This doesn't help if you have small kids with you or you have to go as one group, but if it is this or no riding at all, it is worth it.
The ride itself was very well presented. The area is masterfully isolated to look like you are in the middle of the Arizona desert. The cars go fast as you race another car rift next to you. Great fun.

On which ride at California Adventure is the most desirable seat the middle seat?
Arrived at Guardians of the Galaxy at 9:15am on Friday January 25, only to find the ride closed temporarily due to mechanical problems, with no fast pass available.
Got a fast pass to Radiator Springs Racers. Fast pass said to come back between 1115am and 1215pm! That meant we could not get another fast pass for almost 2 hours.
At 9:30am on a winter weekday morning temperatures in the high 50s and cold, while standing in the short 15 minute line.
Southwest outdoor theme, with surroundings looking like Zion national park in Utah, with red brown cliffs and artificial waterfalls, with ride cars zooming in the background.
4 cars can be loaded simultaneously, with each car carrying 3 riders in the front, and 3 riders in the back. Cars have slightly different tail sections, often that of a Corvette, with unique license plate states, like "new suspension". The front head lights resemble those of the VW New Beetle.
Most desirable seat is the front middle seat, as it has the most leg space in the front, with front side occupants having the least leg room. Back seat riders have their vision blocked by front seat occupants' heads and front seat riders raising their arms in the air, to air out their armpits during stressful ride moments!
First part of the ride is a tour of the southwest, with red orange rocks, plateaus, cliffs and waterfalls, at a leisurely pace.
As we go into the tunnel, the car speeds up, picking up speed with a sudden plunge in the dark. Meet a tractor trailer with its lights shining head on, just miss going through an active railroad crossing, with a train horn blaring. Comical 1950s police car character pulls us over with a warning, dueling farm tractors, a harvest combine coming right at you.
Go into a lighted gas station, where the car is serviced, tires changed and lug nuts tightened, with car suspension falling, like the real thing. Comical Fiat car character speaking in a heavy Italian accent.
Cars separate into two doors leading to two parallel tracks. Simultaneous race on a straightaway, two curves, and then a series of hills, racing just like in the movie Bullitt, with the final hill and a plunge just before hitting an overhead rocky bridge!
Random permutation determines the winner at the crossing line.
Keep your cameras handy, as you have only a few second to see and take a picture of the snapshot of the occupants going over one of the bumps.
We would go on this ride 4 times, the last 3 times in the singles line, and Soaring in the morning. My better half would use my $229 winter special 4 day park admission ticket to get fast passes the next 3 hours. 4 passes to Incredicoaster (the 5 story roller coaster), and 4 passes to Guardians of the Galaxy (previously Tower of Terror with the falling elevator).
From 1pm to 415pm I would ride RSR 17 times, all in the single line, with turnaround time as short as 14 minutes, or a 3 minute wait -it takes that long to walk briskly through the empty line, and wait for the loading.
Only disadvantage of the singles line is that you can't get the coveted front middle seat. I got the right front seat maybe 5 times, and the right back seat 12 times.
Meanwhile the standby line would hit 90 minutes by 2:45pm, before people wised up and got in the singles line, where the wait would eventually lengthen to 20 minutes, with the standby line down to 40 minutes at 415pm. Of course if you had a hot date, you may not want to go in the singles line!

This is a great ride, not too 'thrilling' but a lot of fun none the less.
The ride starts fairly calm but after the 'white walling' of the wheels it gets a little faster, you race one of the other cars on the ride. Speeds get upto about 40mph which isn't that fast but a lot of fun.
The surroundings for the ride are very impressive, a rocky desert like landscape.
Well worth having a go on this one.

Great ride, very long lines. Go at night for a different view of things. There are some sections that are pretty fast and some up and down sections that are not for the most timid riders. They may have wheel chair friendly cars, but we never saw one, suspect a transfer is required.

This ride was fantastic! We were all first time riders, and now understand the reason for the 2 hour wait at times. Fortunately, we opted to buy the $18 additional lightning Pass and only waited 15 minutes.

This is the kind of ride that Disney does very well- intricate set pieces, animatronics, an overall "theme", and some fun excitement- I rode twice!

I love this ride! If you love the movie "Cars" then you will enjoy this ride.
I highly recommend getting in the single rider line if they run out of fast passes. But ideally the fast pass is your best bet.
I gave the ride a 4 star only because the lines can get super long.
Definitely download the Disneyland app because all your fast passes for the day will be right there ready to use.
Must be 3'4" to ride because the cars go as fast as 40 mph.
There are two areas where young riders might get frightened otherwise the ride is very exhilarating.

Do not leave Disney without going on this ride, but make sure you get a fastpass for this one to avoid the 1 hour+ wait times for walk up riders

This ride in California Adventure offers the chance to race another car through the ups and downs of mountains and deserts. Includes a pit-stop for new tires etc. A fun ride (my wife and I rode with our eight year old grandson who knew everything about the characters and loves race cars).
Without a Fast Pass the line is long. If you are only visiting for a day or two you really should pay for a fast pass. Use it wisely and you save tons on time allowing you to get on more attractions. If you have an annual pass and go to Disneyland frequently, no need to rush thru each area.
The ride does provide twists and turns and occasional jolts so be prepared.

Like pretty much everyone else in the park, we went right at rope drop. There was a stampede like atmosphere to get to the ride, a lot of people, no directions where to line up, the ride didn’t even open until a few minutes after park opening. By that time, the line was up to 60 minutes already, and this was at 0810 in the morning. The atmosphere is very desert like, mountainous and breathtakingly beautiful. The snaking queue through the waiting area was very well done.
The cars seat 6 people at a time. Starts off through the dark mountain with some close calls with “crashes”. Then the ride speeds up with some sharp turns. Once you’re out of the mountain, the race is on, over some bumps with some airtime, through banked turns and sharp curves. Definitely messes up the hair! Fun ride.
The ride did break down for about 10 minutes while we were riding. We were offered to ride it again immediately at the unloading area, if we wanted to.
The lineup is always long all day long (anywhere from 40-80 minutes) at any given time. I’d say do it at least once for the fun experience.

get to the park 30 mins early, then get as close to cars land as possible, then run to the ride, then get on the ride first and go in line again or if its long go right to the fast pass...it's that kind of ride

Top tip!
Do single rider line, first time we were on the ride in 10 mins second time 20 mins. This was when the average wait in the standby queue was 60-120 minutes. I got to ride with my husband on both rides, it’s pot luck but worked out for us.
Definitely worth doing the ride, it’s fun and fast.

Great well themed ride. We queued for an hour with genie plus. Enjoyed the ride which is exclusive to Disneyland. Love the cars land theme .

This ride is a BLAST!! For young and old alike. I almost deducted a star because it had the worst wait times of all of the rides but that's not the ride's fault, that's exactly what any ride should be - so fantastic that everyone wants to re-ride it. Get Fast Passes if you can and your wait will be ~ 15 minutes. Without the FP we saw wait times of 45 to 75 minutes and there is nothing exciting in line to keep your attention.

This ride is unlike any other ride in both Disney parks!! The physical experience is unlike any other ride. The ride immersion is like any other ride in both parks. The ride vehicles are unlike any other in the park! A great ride for a wide variety of ages. FastPass recommended.

By being willing to ride separately from others in your party you can take the "single riders" line and save lots of time in line. Listed wait times were anywhere from 45 mins to 70 mins and by going single the max we waited was 8 mins. Twice we waited less than 5. Good park hack!

The line was long, go get a free fast pass at one of the kiosks. It was the most fun ride I have been on in a very long time. I didn’t feel like my body had been in a car wreck after I got off like I do on most rides. Loved the race at the end.

Fast passes for this ride are usually gone right away so we decided just to wait for the ride. It was a 50 minute wait, which was actually short compared to most times. It was worth the wait. It starts off as a tour through radiator springs then speeds up to you being in the race. Fun throughout the whole ride.

Our whole family loves this ride, we came here first for our early entrance ride and then also got a fast pass to return later that day! But we have also waited in the super long lines and still thought it was worth it!

This ride is a MUST in Cars Land California Adventure. Although basically made on the Idea of Test Track in Epcot, Radiator Spring Racers is an awesome ride & had its own ideas & story. There are two tracks you can end up on (Paint Shop or Tyre Shop) & once through them you will race the other.
When we visited the queue was always between 55-75 minutes, so a fast pass needs to be done to keep your group together or if you don't mind splitting up hit the Single Rider section. My wife & I done this ride 5 times in 2 visits & done Single Rider each time waiting a maximum of 15/20 minutes. Also on the walk out look of a small gate in the railings, you can open it & get to the ride quicker again!
The surrounding area in Cars Land lends it self brilliantly to the film with some nice little touches & good music.

This was an awesome ride! Similar to Test Track, but very themed and fun. You race another car around a track with banks and curves. So much fun! Worth the wait!

Radiator Springs Racers is a fabulous ride that sets a pretty high bar for Disneyland / California Adventure. You ride in a Car (from CARS) and are driven off first to a look at the beautiful sights of the the mountains around Radiator Springs (or Cars Land...California Adventure's newest and very attractive land...especially at night). Then the car wildly veers inside the mountain, where we visit the town of Radiator Springs and meet all the characters from the CARS movies. There are some really lovely settings. Then your car pulls into the garage for some quick body work before your race starts. You will mostly likely race against another car. 3...2..1, then your car is off at full speed, whipping around tight corners and up and down hills. It's a brief but wild and exhilarating ride. TOTALLY fun!!
I highly recommend this ride. But since it's new, the lines are CRAZY. If you want Fast Pass, you need to get your pass in the morning...they disappear fast. This ride also offers single rider option. We went three times, twice as single riders. That worked great. 15 minute wait the first day (mid-afternoon), and 20 minutes the 2nd day (end of the night). Our fast pass we grabbed in the morning, but it was good for 5:45-6:45 that evening!. But that allowed us to make the trip right after sunset. Also gorgeous. But regular visitors were facing waits of 105 minutes! YIKES!!! Plan ahead and think about the single rider option. It works well on this ride.

If you've been to Epcot and gotten on Test track and liked it, then you will like this. The ride is very cool. Our 5 year old godchild lived it too. It does have some speed but very doable for the faint of heart. We got on during the day and then at night. It was fantastic since the ride has an outdoor section.
I highly recommend that as soon as you enter the park go and get a fast pass for this. They run out pretty quick for this ride. If you don't get a fast pass, go on as single riders. That's pretty fast since the usual wait time for this ride us about 75-90 minutes.

Great even for my 4 year old ... the scenes on the ride are awesome... line is usually very long try to get a fast pass for this ride to make line tolerable especially if you have little one.

This ride is incredible! But if you don't want to wait in long queues, get a FASTPASS first up! The FASTPASS distribution point is near the Bug's Life Land... so don't waste your time walking all the way to the ride to get one! This ride is really worth it, the best ride in California Adventure Park by a mile! We loved the theme, characters and race... a must do!

This is a ride where a car races with another car. It is so fun. It goes a little fast. If you have seen the cars movie, it makes it that much better.

Radiator Springs is so well themed. As good as anything. The Racer ride tells a great story, lasts a long time, has thrills and great views. It’s like taking a cruise on Route 66 and then getting into some hi jinx.

Radiator Springs is one of the best rides at Disney's California Adventure. You get in a car and go through the story of Cars. Then you are next to another car and race them over hills and around curves. There's is a souvenir photo near the end of the ride. After the souvenir photo the ride broke down. I was sitting in the ride for 45 minutes until it started moving again. The overall ride is well themed and a must-do at Disneyland.

You have to ride. It’s the best ride in the park. Good for kids and adults. Get a fast pass for a shorter wait, or use the single rider line. This ride is so much better that the test track ride in Florida ; wish they’d swap it out and take radiator springs to Orlando! Scenery inside is great as well as the outside scenery and final race to the end!

You start on a leasure ride through what looks like Arizona's Sedona Canyon, until you have someone pull up beside you that wants to race. You take off around almost 90 degree banked turns and go up and down hills, and then you think......my pregnant daughter-in-law really shouldn't be on this ride!!!!!!!! Loved it!

We really enjoyed Radiator Springs, but so glad we used a Fast Pass, as the lines were huge! It's like Test Track in WDW, perhaps a little slower, but with great Cars theming. It seemed the way to do it without a Fast Pass, was the Single Rider line.

The recreation of the desert southwest done for this ride is fascinating. Love the representation of Yosemite Falls and this is my fav ride in all Disney parks. Not too fast and I know where the photo is taken so usually can time a fun-filled pic of myself for a great memory

I love to go on the Racers, then Luigi's cars & end with nice wine & appetizers @ Mendocino Wine patio. Purely adult fun/ even going solo.

Do not miss this ride! It is like you are actually in the movie. It is incredibly well done and apparently when they opened Cars Land they brought in the team who made the movie and they cried because it is so amazing! Be sure to go straight to this ride as soon as the park opens and get your fastpass!

Love the ride but there is always a long queue here. We went on first thing and still had to wait nearly half an hour to get on. The ride itself is so clever and the whole Cars Land in the Park is so well done

This ride really reminds me of Test Track at the Florida Park Epcot. However, it is way more fun. The use of the characters is really fun and it's really cool to get up close to the cars characters. The one in Florida doesn't have any sort of characterization. This has some very pretty views and the race at the end is fun.

This was our first time on the ride. It was amazing. Like others have stated it puts you into the Cars movie with the characters. Love how it is a mixture of the classic Fantasy land rides with a story then some excitement added on.
Definitely get your Fast pass for the ride by the entrance to Bugs Land. Within the first hour the line is up to 45 minutes. With a Fast Pass it is only a 20 minute wait which isn't bad when the ride is 2 hours long in the afternoon.
Best advice go to California Adventure Early and go on Radiator Springs first thing. Then go get a Fastpass to enjoy later.

Everything we expected and more. First it seems as though you are just going on a leisurely ride but then two cars side by side begin racing and it's fun anticipating which car will take the checkered flag(ours did by the way!)!!

This was my two older daughter's favorite ride! The cars in the dark ride portion were so lifelike! The setting is jaw-dropping, especially at night! The outside racing part is a blast! We RAN here literally right as DCA opened, and walked right on! We then got fastpasses to ride it at night. The ride has a gigantic wait during the day, but get to the park LITERALLY right as it opens and run here, and you should be fine. I recommend getting a fastpass to ride it at night too, as it's a SPECTACULAR night ride!

simply great experience ...although would recommend folks to take a fast pass for this ride as the minimum wait time is around 30-40 mins... one of the best rides in disney california park

This ride is based on the cartoon movie Cars. We got a fast pass so there was only a five minute wait before we boarded our car. The race was the exciting part of the ride. This is good fun for young and old.

This is such an amazing ride! You first go through some scenes with characters you'll be familiar with, if you've seen Cars! Then it's on to a thrilling ride with another car. You must experience it to believe it. Get a Fast Pass as soon as you arrive at California Adventure. The wait times otherwise are understandably very long.

I’ve wanted to ride this for years ever since I first saw pictures. It is a great ride. Reminds me a lot of the original version of test track at Walt Disney World before they ruined it with the new layover. If you like cars you will absolutely love this ride. Even if you don’t like cars or have never seen it you will still enjoy this ride the theme is done so well. We used FastPass during the day and went in the single rider line at night to see it under the lights. We lost our race with the other car both times but were lucky enough to see the two different options of the inside portion of the ride. Not as fast as test track but a great ride especially if you were to take kids.

One of the best rides I’ve ever been on. We rode it twice and had a different experience both times! I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but it is really worth the wait and must do ride.

The best ride at California Adventure. Right off the bat, get a fast pass or max pass the second you get into the park as the line will get long really quick. The animatronics in the ride are really well done, it's nice to see a ride keep practical effects in an age of just putting the riders in front of a screen with 3-D glasses. Lots of fun, the race at the end is fun but totally random which car wins.

Not a bad ride, albeit a little tame.
A tip though, rather than wait in line for 90 minutes (it was consistently by far the longest wait of all the rides we visited in Disney), go on a single riders ... 90 min wait turned into less than 10 minute wait 👍

This ride is so well done and a blast. We all loved it. Wait is very long so get the fast pass or ride as singles.

This is a fun ride and was a nice family ride. The lines do get long, and we did think about breaking up and all going in the single rider line. Now I know we should have given it a try to get through again on a quick second ride once we knew what it was like. Not a real "rollercoaster" style of ride, but it has some speed and some fun dips and turns to keep things exciting for younger kids. The older kids liked it too, but did comment on how their car "lost", despite there never really being a fair "race" involved.

Loved this ride! It was the most fun (and yes, I am a 'grown-up'). Ate at Flo's V8 Café and looked out at the 'scenery' of Radiator Springs, then went and road the Racer! Awesome!

Even seniors will love this ride. Not jerky + just really fun. Because it is so popular you really need a fastpass + they run out early or use single rider line.

absolutely amazing ride....a must do!!!
the standby entrance was long and said 55 mins waiting time but we didnt wait that long....love the thrill and wind in your hair kinda feel to this ride

The whole area is just fantastic. Step back into the 60s and enjoy the whole experience.
We were fortunate to be fast tracked onto the ride saving at least an hour by our tour guide.
We all thought it the best. Disney creativity at its finest , Again.

My son absolutely loves anything that has to do with Disney Cars so we went to California Adventures largely due to Cars Land. All of Cars Land is extremely well done and really makes you feel as though you are in Radiator Springs but the definite headliner is Radiator Springs Racers. It is a huge attraction and draws equally huge lines with very long wait times. We didn’t get into the park till around 10:30 and weren’t able to get a FastPass until 3:30. After we finally got to ride we tried to get another FastPass but they were gone for the day. The best advice is certainly to get there as early as possible and get a FastPass as soon as possible. And even with a FastPass you will likely wait 15 minutes or so but that’s much better than the 2 hours that the regular line can run. My daughter and I did the single rider line and it was around 25-30 minutes.
The ride itself takes you on a journey through Radiator Springs. It starts out as a leisurely drive through the desert and past a waterfall. After the ride goes inside you encounter Sherrif and Mater before pulling into town and seeing the other characters where you prepare to race the car opposite you. The car on the right goes to Luigi’s Casa Della Tires and gets a pit stop from Guido. The car on the left gets a new paint job from Ramone. Both cars receive encouragement from Doc Hudson and then race around Willy’s Butte.
If you are a fan of the movie series you will absolutely love every minute of it. Even if you aren’t it is still a very enjoyable ride. This was the highlight of our visit to California Adventures and a big reason we came across the country to visit Disneyland.

Not a fan of the movies but what a great attraction. So well-designed and smooth. I wish they would slow down the pre-race just a bit so you could see and enjoy it more.

A highlight in California Adventure, and probably the best ride or one of! Always long lines. If you do not have a fastpass and don't want to wait, try the single rider line...unless your really need to ride in the same car with those you came with!

A great ride that showcases the cars movies. I don't know if it is worth a long await, we did the fast pass and it was ok. The single rider option looks good too. Fast paced at the end, and some good sound effects make it appear faster than it actually is.

Radiator Springs Racers is our favorite ride in either California Adventure or Disneyland. The line is usually at least an hour, so if you can, get a Fast Pass, (These are usually gone early in the day.) Even if you don't like the movie Cars, you will love this ride. It is one of Disney's best execution of a story-immersion ride. The queue plunges you into CarsLand, and there is plenty to distract you while you wait. The first part of the ride (which uses the same platform as Epcot's Test Track - and far more pleasantly!) begins as a relaxing drive through the small town of Radiator Springs, which is especially beautiful if you ride at night. Then your car gets either a paint job or white walls before the big race, where your car actually races against another car. The race part of the ride is exciting, not a roller coaster, but speedy with dips and banked curves. You never know if you'll win! The only downside is that the ride can break down often.

Radiator Springs Racers is a simulated slot car type dark ride attraction in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park. It is one of the top rides in the park. Even Fast Pass queue is very long. People going in single person line were moving fast. The attraction is in a six-person vehicle in dark through fictional world encounters with characters from the film series Cars. After that the race starts in open air. Two cars then race through turns and hills, ending with any-one can win race result. The cost of making this attraction is maximum among other rides at Disneyland Resort. Must do ride in the park.

For us this is the best ride in California Adventure. It is popular, so go to it as soon as the park opens to avoid long waits.

Radiator Springs Racers is one of the most popular rides in Disney's California Adventure. Waiting times will normally exceed an hour and can occasionally reach two hours plus.
The best time to get into line for this ride is early in the morning. It is also a good time to obtain a Fastpass for riding later in the day.
The single rider line can be much shorter.... as long as you are alone or do not mind riding without your family or partner.
Radiator Springs Racers is a fun and quick thrill ride that lasts only about 5 minutes. The minimum height is 40 inches.
The only other requirement that I can think of is patience.

This is an amazing ride as always. Always a long line so get your fast passes and come early. It's well worth the wait though. It's such a cool ride.

Fast pass this ride but do it early for if you don't the wait is really long. Go on it early if you can as well. If fun, different and worth waiting for. I would of ridden it more than twice if the wait wasn't so long. Cars Land is very true to life and great to walk around and eat there too. Just like the Movie, great for young and Old.

This is a great ride. You can see the amount of effort and money Disney put into the ride.
Definitely get a fast pass or go to this ride first thing in the morning.
You hop into Ferrari looking racers (total six people, two rows, three people a row), and go on a tour around Radiator Springs. Then you go inside where you run into Mater, tip tractors, and then go into town. There the ride splits into two paths. One side, your car gets a new set of white walls from Luigi, the other side, you get a new paint job from Ramone. Then Doc Hudson coaches your cars into a race. This is where the fun begins as you race to the finish line. Great animatronics and fun ride overall.
Kids taller than 40" can ride it. But the racing part of the ride, may give your kids a little scare. We almost always ride this attraction when we visit California Adventure. Our favorite!

We really enjoyed this Ride. The wait was long but well worth it. We went on multiple time with fast pass!

Indiana Jones used to be the pinnacle for me. No longer. Radiator Springs has been faithfully recreated down to the flowers. This ride makes me feel like I'm sitting with Lightning McQueen, cruising the canyons and racing the other guests.

My kids and dad loved this ride - it is a must do! My kids rated this best ride in the park. It is a crowd pleaser - hence the crowds! For a shorter wait use the single rider line - even as a group you are generally with someone you know or are racing against them. The scenery inside and out matches the movie. This ride/race is a winner.

Cool ride, a bit slower than I thought, it goes pretty slow for the most part but does speed up at the end which is pretty cool, overall I liked it and definitely one to go on

If you come during summer months always get a fast pass the second you come in the park if not you will be waiting hours and with little ones that is no fun...during the cooler months you may still have a bit of a wait but not over 2 hours....have fun and enjoy the ride!!!!!

Definitely had fun, but ride was broken down 5 times in a 3 day visit. The Fastpasses were for at least 6 hours later and were usually done by 2pm each day. 2 to 2.5 hour lines were the norm, so dont even try without a FastPass. Much preferred Soarin around the World and Grizzly River Run!

We waited twice for over an hour each time to finally be told that the ride may not open. Even the "information wall" was unhelpful. Really detracted from the rest of California Adventure (which was fabulous, especially Soaring over the World).

It's fun how they line up two cars and make a "race" out of the ride. We rode twice during our visit and were never in the lane that won (I think the left track is usually the winner...)

Radiator Springs Racers is by far the best ride addition to DCA since Tower of Terror. It's a fast ride but there is a lot of eye candy before the "big race." It's almost like you are in the movie which WDI pulls off very well. The line is long during peak seasons, grab a fast pass if you can in the morning. Waiting in line isn't that bad...there's a lot of detail in the queue and sometimes they do sell refreshments mid-way. Overall FANTASTIC RIDE...scale of 1 to 10, I give a full 10!!!

Such a fun ride. Slow, peaceful, then fast and exciting. Great scenery. Lines are king. Fast pass line is long too.

The line was a bit long but well worth it. The car goes through the ride then pulls up next to the adjacent car then you're off racing each other. It was great!

I wild give this ride a zero of possible. The lineup of 90 minutes for this ride was such a waste of time. I’d rather have spent the time in line and on this ride doing anything else. It is beyond loud on this ride, unnecessarily so. It’s short. All on all a huge disappointment. Seems more like a ride you’d find at a cheap theme park.

My family and I loved this ride! It had just enough thrill to be thrilling but not too scary for the littles. It's a beautiful ride for a beautiful movie! Loved it!

We used the Fast Pass and that helped get into a ride that is so popular it had a 90 minute wait time. This ride in a car that holds 6 people went through an amazingly decorated and designed course that races through scenes in the movie. We had people of all ages in it and everyone started making plans when they could go again. Well five Disney. Well done.

This is one of my favorite rides at California Adventure. It is very popular and there is ALWAYS a long wait. Definitely get a fast pass for this attraction or go first thing in the morning during extra magic hours

I went on Radiator Springs Racers because it is one of my favorite rides at Disneyland. Towards the end of the ride, it broke down. I was sitting in the ride waiting for a Cast Member to come let us out. They played the "oh no! The ride broke down!" recording 9 TIMES!!! I think I know why the ride broke down in the first place. The Cast Member who was operating the ride was an inexperienced college student! There was a women behind me was crying and having a nervous breakdown. Although the women next to me was screaming, "HELP! WE HAVE A MEDICAL EMERGENCY!!" no Cast Member came to let us out of the ride. I was waiting for 45 MINUTES on the ride! Just know that I was close enough to the exit to see the ride operator. I know that she saw me in the car. After 45 minutes of waiting, I couldn't take it anymore. Finally the college student Cast Member said over the intercom, "stay in your seats. The ride should HOPEFULLY move momentarily." If you don't speak Cast Member, it means: you're never getting out of here because the ride operator is randomly pressing buttons and flipping switches and doesn't know what they do. Then after 45 minutes, she miraculously got the ride moving again.

As the first time over this being my first time, Disneyland, I was really excited to do it because everybody called it the test track of Disneyland. I want to with really high expectations and when I wasn’t really pleased, but feeling like a little bit was missing. I really enjoyed the beginning a middle section of the ride. That part was just in slow moving indoor dark ride with a few accelerations, and after going into the shop where you get painted that one on the end of the ride starts in and it takes you outside to do the race I thought the race was a little anticlimactic and felt that it was a little slow, especially for people calling at the test track of Disneyland, know maybe I didn’t go in with maybe a little too high and poop because of how fast goes in the end, but I was a little disappointed with the speed. All in all, this is a great Disneyland ride, and I would give it the title of the test track of Disneyland although being a little slow.

This is an extremely popular ride at California Adventure Park; recommend you are there at park opening so you can go on this ride immediately with minimal wait; afterwards go straight to the Fast Pass kiosk for this ride so you can ride it again later (Fast Pass for this ride is located near Bugs Land entrance). Unfortunately the racing portion of the ride is extremely short considering the wait times; in general they should have constructed this ride to handle more volume as it can get anywhere from a 1 - 2 hour wait on busy days.

even the queue is beautiful. I have 2 kids boys and it's too. it's a race. well nice. it's worth it. disney no comments. top top

This should be at the top of one's list when visiting DCA. We were careful to secure a FastPass for each of us so that we could enjoy this ride after dinner at Carthay Circle. If I had been able to do so, I would have secured a second FP just to enjoy this wonderful ride. The layout, theme, design and execution of this entire attraction is amazing. We rode this just before dusk and loved being on this ride at that time of the day. Our photo from the ride was one that we gladly purchased and later downloaded as a digital image. A very impressive, well-executed, great attraction!

This was a new ride for us--had a great time especially the racing part of the ride. We will do this one again.

Hey, the ride is described by all the other reviews. It is a good time, and in keeping with Disney traditions its not over the top. But hey its so popular that a typical wait can be greater than 2 hours. And single riders can still wait 45 minutes.
Even if you say "I'll get the fast pass", my experience was that the fast passes sell out very early and you'll wait inline for upwards of 30 minutes to get a fast pass, and then wait again once the fast pass and regular lines merge close to the loading location.
The Upshot is this. Its great fun so much so you'll wait in line.

Part of the fun of this ride is all of the interesting things to look at while waiting in line. Don't miss the bottle wall (oil used to come in glass bottles, Disney incorporated them into a wall). The "race" is a combination of slow and somewhat fast turns, ok for most children (height requirement), and adults that do not care for roller coasters like California Screamin. It also takes you thru a body shop, garage, etc. Great visuals, especially the facial expressions of the vehicles in the garage.

The word that best describes this ride is WOW! The animation is top notch, the view of the desert and waterfalls they manufactured is world class and the ride is just fun. The lines are long so get in the single rider line. This will cut your wait time in half. If you can afford it, the speed pass will save you a lot of time. This is the best ride in either California Adventure or Disneyland.

We got in line first thing in the morning and stood in line for 2 hours while they worked to get the ride running. They had all night to make sure it was functional and didn’t open the ride for 2 hours, and they never got it running. Came back that evening to try our luck again and stood in line for 2 more hours and the ride broke down again. This ride doesn’t open with the “magic morning” and wasted a lot of our trip. This also doesn’t work for fast pass or lighting pass, but you can pay the extra money to get ahead of line. Find a new mechanic.

If you are a party with teens or young adults & don’t mind splitting up I absolutely recommend doing the single rider queue. It took 15mins Vs the 2.5hr standby line.
It’s essentially test track but Cars themed and doesn’t go as fast as test track so perfect for little ones and young families. The cars theming is excellent!

Possibly our favorite ride in Disneyland's California Adventure. Beautiful setting, fun intro, fast racing. A 50 minute wait even though we walked FAST there first thing. Note that at opening, the Single Rider's line is no waiting, but later in the day it barely saves you time.

My wife and I rode the "Cars ride" 3 days ago and had Fun! This ride is pretty long and is a fun, fast car ride in a nice setting! Definitely get a fast pass if you can, but they run out early!

This is by far the best ride at Disney's California Adventure.
The way it's themed and designed makes you really feel like you're in the movie. I love that you can have two different experiences depending on which direction the car takes you.
I recommend using the single-rider line if you don't mind not riding with your family. You get to stand in line with them and you will wait only a third of the time.

Fun to ride. Can fit 3 in a row. A simple thrill ride for younger children and still fun for adults.

As usual Disney kills it!! Amazing attention to detail, basically recreated radiator springs. Great ride. Go early.

Go early and grab the fast pass for this. Easily the best ride in dca. Cars theme is lovely. Suitable for all ages as it isn't very scary. The only downside is really the long wait

I’m not a big Cars fan but this was one of the rides I HAD to go on cause it just looked so cool. First time I went to California adventure it was closed due to rain, ended up going on it the next time I went. FYI the line is looooooooooooooooooong! We waited 2 and a half hours, we also had a four day pass not once during those four days did wait times drop to under 120mins. It is worth it though if day easily top 5 rides at Disneyland

Throwing you into the cars film, you sit in a car and work your way through the story line. At the end you line up against another car and race side by side in a rollercoaster style ride.
My only gripe is the build up section of the ride is too long and the racing section too short.
Other than that this ride is great!

This is a really fun racing ride for all the family to enjoy!
However, the queues can go up to 2 hours even shortly after opening so it is worth going at rope drop (7:30, join queue and ride opens at 8) if you can, or cast members were recommending the shorter single rider line.
Once the ride opens the queue is pretty swift and the ride theming is really fun.
Very much enjoyed and would ride again!

Loved this ride! It was scenic and perfect. It was just like being in the movie cars! So much fun, would totally do again!

I hadn't read up on the Radiator Spring Racers ride at the Disney California Adventure Park (and it doesn't exist at the Orlando and Paris parks I have previously visited), so was surprised by how good it was ! It is essentially a Cars themed ride made up of two parts. Guests are seating in cars with an initial relatively sedate ride through Monument Valley with a couple of near misses including avoiding a crash with a train. The second part is an exhilarating high speed race with the car next to you. The scale of the ride is impressive and definitely not to be missed !

This is the best ride at Calafornia Adventures park (sister to DisneyLand). You can NOT use the traditional Lightening Lane, you have to purchase a one time pass. When we went it was $22 per person. Alternatively you can stand in the singles line and get on in 30-45 min as opposed to the 2+ hours wait we saw over several days.

I'm not a fan of the original film (especially compared to most Pixar films), but this is my first time going on this ride and it's a lot of fun! I love the fusion of roller coaster and traditional dark ride elements. It's an atmospheric while also thrilling ride at the same time. The animatronics are amazing and state-of-the-art (as of this review anyway) and the set design of the ride and overall Cars Land is very memorable. The line is really long so I recommend getting a fast pass for this one, or saving it till the end of your day (what my date and I did). I heard this is one of the most expensive theme park attractions in the world (over $200 million), but I'd say the results were well worth the cost! Definitely check this one out, it is a brilliant ride.

We have been on this ride multiple times and everytime we are still surprised on how great this ride is! From the unexpecting turns, and having a race with another car! Wow was that cool! This ride is great for small kids, teenagers and adults who seek and thrive the adventure! Definitely worth the long wait! (But Get a fastpass)

You get in a car and move off. After a short section, another car with people appears by your car and you have a race! It doesn’t go quite as fast as the Fast Track in Orlando’s Disney World, but enjoyable enough. Worth a fast pass.

We were there at rope drop time and got to go twice before the line got too long. This ride is so fun to casually drive and then speed up like a roller coaster in the car. Fast but not scary. Super fun but go early or get a maxpass for sure!

Not being a big fan of roller coasters, I was hesitant to go the first time. I'm hear to tell you, don't be worried-it has some speed and some turns but nothing in the roller coaster category. You 'race' another car near the end of the ride. The first part you coast past automobile 'characters' from the "Cars" movie. Great scenery at the beginning of the ride (outside), inside darker and then the race. The whole ride takes about 4 minutes. You'll love it. Tip: Get a Fast Pass for this ride or do Single Rider. It's usually packed and wait times can be very long.

Radiator Springs Racers is Radiator Springs section of Disney California Adventure is a must-visit for all Disney fans and all Cars fans. The theming of the area is way beyond imagination as you truly feel you are in the movie. The ride has the same vehicles as Test Track at Epcot, but the first half of the ride through different parts of the movie is awesome. There are 2 different paths inside so make sure you get to see both! The final race between two cars is great. It is not as fast as Test Track but way more charming! Our 13 year old thinks it is the best Disney ride at any park and his parents have to agree!

A good time had by all at the best ride in Cars Land. It was well done with scenery, Cars imagery and audio and finishing with a little speed. And the single rider line is so necessary if you do not have a fastpass as the single rider line was never more than 20 minutes while we were at DCA. I rode it with a parent and kid each time and the kid was overjoyed with the ride while the parent was so happy their child enjoyed it so much. One kid instantly said “can we ride it again” before even getting off.
Enjoy Radiator Springs Racers!

We were in July 2025 .
Park full, we chose to go in individual queues.
Soon we passed the big queue and took advantage of the toy.
Best toy in the park

Big queues even at the fast pass, tickets go quickly and the lines are long, head there first. This is a good ride it has animation, as well as thrills suitable for younger riders to enjoy. we really enjoyed this ride.

It’s amazing how they’ve brought the world of Cars to life and make you feel as it you’re really in a southwestern landscape complete with ancient car fin-shaped flatirons! (But if you look really closely, you can see that a group of pigeons like to hang out on one of those formations. LOL.) This was easily our group’s favorite ride of the California Adventure park, and even my 75+ mother was up for going twice! It’s kind of like a cross between one of the storybook rides of Disneyland, and the Indiana Jones Adventure, although this doesn’t jerk you around as much as that ride does. You start off with a slow ride through some scenes from the movie, but you ride in a large stylized and independent vehicle (not like a regular roller coaster car) which holds up to six people, and you end with a race through that Cars scenery. It’s fun and is over way too quick. When we got to this ride, there was a 90-minute wait in the regular line, but the attendant said if our group of three used the single riders line and rode separately to help fill in the car capacity, we could get on much quicker. We did that and were through the line and riding within 15 minutes. We did the same thing later when there was a two-hour wait in the regular line and were riding within 30 minutes.

This is a whole area bases on the animated cars films. It has 3 rides which are suitable for all ages along with food places based on the movies. You even get the chance to meet some of the movies characters. This area really does have a different feel at night when the neon lights add a different dimension to the place. The main ride is excellent similar to test track in epcot but with a cars movie theme. During summer this really does have 120 minute plus lines so either single rider or if you fast pass. Or if you are in the park eaely head straight for it. By 10 am the lines are usually growing.

This is a great ride. I would suggest you get fast pass for this ride as you can wait up to 3 hours to get on when it's busy. Great for kids young and young at heart. Who doesn't love cars. Highly recommend even if you can't get fast pass I would still line up for it

Our fave movie and the set and ride brought the movie to life. Disney did a great job with it. Love the entire area! The ride just a freaking joy!

Most of our four day vacation saw the wait for this ride at two hours or higher, except for the first minutes of the day. The line grew quickly within the first 20 minutes of park opening and stayed that way until close each and every day. Because of this Fastpass is a GREAT option on this attraction. Fortunately getting one proved to be very easy. The line for such is located across from Grizzly River Run, and never had more than a couple of people in line at any given time, although the passes were always gone for the day by about 11am. Just pointing out that they are easy to get as long as you head over there at a reasonable time. The ride itself is incredible. Mack approaches head on, you find yourself tractor tipping with the fun-loving Mater, Luigi is prepped and ready to replace your tires OR Ramone want to spruce you up with a new paint job (these two depend on what "track" you are assigned. Overall, the ride is fun, feels like you are traveling through the scenes of the movie, and the race has a different outcome every time so you don't know if you will win or not until it happens. A very fun ride indeed. I wouldn't wait hours for it, but very fun nevertheless.

More than a standard dark ride. You get to race another car at the end. Not sure if it's worth the gigantic wait though.

This is great. Just the right amount of everything. Definitely need a fast pass to save time, even the single riders line gets out to a 30 min wait. Fast pass allocations exhaust very quickly also, so get there early

This ride is lots of fun... But be sure to get a fast past for it. Also, be prepared to sit next to someone you don't know if your party is under 6 people. Enjoy!

We got in the park on an “Early Pass” before the rains hit and were able to jump right on this amazing ride. It is not only like driving through the Radiator Springs story line, but give you a relatively high speed race besides. What a thrill it was. We finished the ride and raced around again to the absence of a line. Jumped in the cars and repeated the thrill, made better because we took the alternate track to the one we’d taken last time. By the time that ride ended the lines were growing and the rains starting. Even though the rains continued throughout the day (Thanksgiving day), these rides made the day a joy that we’re still taking about.

One of the longer rides and one of the first to sell out with fast passes, this is one of the best if not the best ride at Disney California adventure park. Suitable for most any and fast but not too fast. Even my wife, who hates roller coasters, enjoyed it as did my thrill seeking 7 year old daughter.
Highly recommended.

Long line. When it broke down, they gave us a lightning lane to come back. My 7 year old was scared to go on it, but when we convinced him, it ended up being his favorite ride. You feel like you are a part of the cars movie. So cute and fun!

I did radiator springs and it was a really cute ride. You get in a car and then go through the story of Cars. Then you get put next to another car and "race" them. When I did it, the ride broke down and I got stuck for 45 minutes. Then the "Oh no, the ride broke down" recording played nine times. Then the Cast Member said "the ride should HOPEFULLY move momentarily." There was a woman in the back seat who was crying. The person next to me was screaming, "HELP! WE HAVE A MEDICAL EMERGENCY!" The Cast Member heard her but she didn't come. 45 minutes later, the car started moving again.

The stunningly detailed Radiator Springs set is almost enough by itself to compensate for the LONG LINES for RSR.
I feel the need for speed, and this ride delivers speed and a lot more.
If you liked the CARS movies or if you just enjoy automobiles in general, the perfectly executed design of Radiator Springs Racers will delight and amaze you. No expense was spared in creating the automated versions of Lightning McQueen and friends. You could do this ride 10 times (I have) and still see things you missed.
As for the lines... if you want to avoid or at least lessen the impact of your wait time- consider getting in line or getting a fast pass AS SOON as California Adventure opens. This will give you a pre-set time when you can come back and use the faster line. You will save a ton of time doing this.
If fast passes are gone before you have a chance to get them, as they often are, you might want to try the single rider line. This isn't a choice for parents with young kids, but if you have older kids or are a couple who isn't joined at the hip, this is an option that can save you more than an hour wait time.

Radical radiator Springs racersOr one of our favorite attractions. You have to get a fast pass or you were in for a very very long wait. There are things to look at as your wait in either line, however, If you take the time to put your phone away and look around. LOL. The ride starts off as him meandering through the scenery and then goes into a tunnel where it’s a classic “dark ride” with turns and characters and lots of fun. Then you go in for either new tires or a paint job on your car. Then it’s off to the races which is a lot of fun. It’s snapped a photo of you at the end and send you on your way.
I am in a wheelchair. There is a separate pilaf line once you’re halfway through if you take the time to put your phone away and look around. LOL. The ride starts off as him meandering through the scenery and then goes into a tunnel where it’s a classic “dark ride“ with terms and characters and lots of fun. Then you go in for either new tires or a paint job on your car. Then it’s off to the races which is a lot of fun. It’s snapped a photo of you at the end and send you on your way.
I am in a wheelchair. There is a separate peel off line once you’re halfway through the regular line. It can be a healthy weight for a beyond your fast pass time if there are a lot of wheelchairs. The car does load separately from the other line so you can take your time getting in and out. The only disadvantage is every time I ride in the wheelchair line car we get the paint job experience and not the new tire experience and we always “lose” the race. It’s still a lot of fun though.

This is one of the older kids, found in California Adventure Park. Themed around the Cars movies. Fast paced ride in an open top car along a track. Good fun.
Make sure you fast pass it as the lines are always crazy.

Even if you aren't a fan of the movie Cars, you will love this ride. It is fast, exhilarating and full of Cars themed fun. It really feels like you are driving around Radiator Springs. One warning...lines can be CRAZY LONG!! All fast passes had been used for the day by the time we tried to get one, so we ended up waiting 90 min. to ride. And it was HOT. Be sure to hit the bathroom, grab a snack and drink to hold you over while you wait. You won't be disappointed!

Very popular ride so get fast pass. Just like the movie set and had a great time...very popular with kids.

I’ve never seen the Cars movies so a lot of the movie references were lost on me until my daughter explained them. I might just see the movies now!
The ride is fantastic. Reflecting the movies the ride starts sedately, picks up speed, and you get a super-condensed version of the movie, where the hero car, Lightning McQueen, has to win a race. The ride shifts into overdrive and you actually “race” another car of guests running parallel to you. In the race you get extreme acceleration, high-g banked turns, ups and downs, the lot!
It was a real adrenaline rush, reminded me of my extreme motorcycling idiocies when I was twenty and immortal.
Superb must-see ride.

Won’t discuss the long line. It’s expected. But the ride was outstanding. Slow at first as you pass scenes from Radiator Springs. After, the track splits and another car lines up for a race. And off you go. Extremely fun with camel humps and banked turns. At the end, you don’t know which car won. You don’t even care. The ride itself was that much fun.

Simply awesome! Perfect for the kids, or any Cars fan. The ride is fast and thrilling, still yet not so scary for the younger kids! Amazing!

Definitely a great ride. As a huge fan of Disney Pixar’s ‘Cars’ (the original one; although it’s sequels were quite good) this was a ‘must-do’ activity whilst visiting California Adventure Park. Riding in vehicles that resemble cars from the movie, the ride closely follows the narrative of the original ‘Cars’ starting with a leisurely drive through the Ornament Valley followed by a sudden and steep drop before a whirlwind of excitement begins: tractor tipping with Mater, a hasty escape from Frank and a visit to Luigi’s for a tire change; alternately, a paint job at Ramone’s in preparation for the big race - nobody knows which one it will be. The attention to detail over everything really made me feel like I had been transported into the movie.

Brilliantly done! Perfect as a ride, especially at night. You have to experience this whole land. single rider is a good bet and learn to use the fast passes to play the game. Tripadvisor has a great article on fastpass masteryl

The theme for this ride is magical. Being a Walt Disney world person, I believe they should retheme test track with radiator springs racers. The land and ride were amazing!

We really liked Card Land. It felt like we were right where McQueen and Mater were. Radiator Springs Racers was a great ride! Be sure to get a fastpass early in the day as they quickly ran out when we visited.

We were so surprised with this ride! Not knowing what to expect, we loved the details of the line, and the ride itself is an amazing, full experience for all ages. Some lovely vistas, some comedy and some thrills. This is why you come to Disney!! This ride has it all.

The ride was awesome but several things really missed me off. First they stopped doing fast pass at 1pm then we went on ride it said wait time was 60 minutes well that was a lie a big fat lie.
It took 2 hrs 10 mins I clocked it. Then I got to where fast pass meets and I see that a 4pm they still were letting I'm fast pass members which is ok I understand they had it from before but what really missed me off was they would let in e0 fast pass rider and then on 3 or 4 regular members so that really sucked

Our boys loved this ride and "racing" on the track. Cars' Land was probably one of their favorite spots. Lots of neat things to see along the way to remind them of the movie. We would highly recommend this especially for families with young boys!!

I absolutely have to do this ride every time. It is in my top 3 for Disney California Adventure. Based on the Cars movie, it is a "race" against another car. But, the scenery and preshow are also amazing.

We waited over an hour for this ride and it was without a doubt worth it. I thought it was just a slower rollercoaster type ride aimed at younger kids but I was wrong. It's surprisingly fast and definitely the best ride we went on. The detail of the scenery and the 'story' the ride navigates through is just amazing and a must see. If the lines weren't so long we would have gone again. Make this the first ride of the day to avoid a long wait.

I can not get my mother off of this ride!! It's a great family ride where you feel like you're in the movie. The detail is incredible but if you are a visual person you could spend all day in this area.

Went on this ride and it was so much fun. But I recommend getting there early when it first opens because if you get there in the afternoon the line is about two hours long. And it would be great if it went a bit faster. But all in all it was super fun:)

Deserves ZERO stars considering on 12/7/18 it was not running by 8:30am and was essentially down ALL DAY. We went to this pseudo ride first, and the 45 minute waste of time to start the Disneyland experience screwed up our plan for the entire day. Granted at times things will break down, but 1) it does not sound like this is an anomaly (see October 2018 post of same) (2) if they cared about anything other than money one would think they would give every ticket holder for that day a $25 credit. I'm surprised Roger Goodell doesn't run this park.

This is one of the greatest theme park rides Disney has ever created, and if you love the "Cars" movies and characters, you will absolutely love it. This is a fully realized world where Lightning McQueen, Mater, and the rest live.
It's very similar to the Test Track ride at Florida's Epcot, but with much, much better theming. It's suitable for kids and adults, and is thrilling but not scary. Ride both in the daytime at at night for different experiences. I prefer this ride at night because the exterior lighting is absolutely gorgeous.
Since the ride has been reviewed and discussed thoroughly, I'll go ahead and add my three best tips (of course they're geared towards the over-40 crowd like me):
1. You have to stoop way down low to get into and out of the seats. The seats are in rows of three, so the middle seat is the hardest to sit in. If you have a hard time standing from sitting on the floor, for example, try to get in the front row of the car. To help yourself get out, grab onto the windshield and pull up, it makes it easier to get some leverage.
2. Pull out and fasten your seatbelt BEFORE you sit down. This makes it so much easier and is less of a struggle, especially if you are Pooh-sized or close to it (i.e., anything over an adult size Medium).
3. You have to climb stairs at the exit. Just be warned if you have trouble with stairs. If you do, inform a cast member so they'll let you go out of the handicapped exit.

This was at the top of our list to try when we visited the Disneyland Resort last month. We are big Cars fans, and from what we had seen online this ride looked like it was going to be great.
Disney did a great job with the decor of this ride, it actually feels like you are in Radiator Springs.
This ride is extremely popular, so I suggest you go to it first thing, and then get a Fastpass so you can ride it a second time later on in the day. We rode it both during the day and at night, and both were great.

Disney scored with this one. An acceptable combination of movie franchise self-promotion and really fun and fast ride.
Don't wear a hat or your ears, unless you want to leave them on the track.

This was really well put together the ride with the way you go through the garage with all the car characters, then you go in to a race around the track against another car. if you don,t have a fast pass you are better off going as a single rider other wise you will be waiting along time as this ride is really popular.

Get in line, get to the gate and start yer...! Well, still exciting. Getting a FastPass is worth the twenty minute wait. A lot of ups and downs, and super fast fun. It's an actual race to the finish!

This by far was one of my favorite rides! This is one of the rides that would make me come back. It’s a must do ride. Easy ride for everyone

Make sure you do this ride, we had a great time. Your car is pitted against another, ours won. Fun time with tge family

We went first thing when park opened to avoid the big wait. Even our 4 yo daughter loved this ride! Cute but fun and fast too

Radiator Springs Racers is a great ride. Very similar to Test Track down in Orlando. But the key to the ride is to do it as a single rider to avoid the insane lines.

Awesome storyline and Disney technology at it best. Probably a very good use of Fast Pass as this line reportedly can get very long, very quickly.
The story revolves around the CARS movie and all the characters make appearances; Mater, Lightning McQueen, Sally, Luigi, and many more. Your car will eventually get either new tires or a new paint job and then end up racing another vehicle.
Lots of excitement and lots of fun.

Our family decided to spend a day in California Adventure so my husband and I went to ride The Racers while the kids did a bunch of different things. We had so much fun we did it again, and again and again :) Definitely one of the best rides in the parks!

One of Disney's gems. They have recreated the desert racing enviroment and radiator springs from the Cars films brilliantly. Once you get in your car you head into the hills till you get to radiator springs where you get to meet all the great characters, giving you instructions about racing. Your car then gets a makeover and you are ready for the race. You race head to head through sweeping curves and power straights and have a souvenir picture taken before hitting finishing line. This ride is very popular so I would suggest you get a fast pass very early in the day. Superb experience.

We've been to California Adventure Park at least half a dozen times over the last 7 years or so. The first time we did the ride it was brilliant. The queues were reasonable and everything worked well. This time around the queues for standby were 180 minutes, the fast pass close to 45 minutes and the single rider queue 45 to 60 minutes.
The ride itself had a few technical bugs (like the white wheels not aligning with the tyres on the cars), often racing against no other cars and the ended used to tell you who won and doesn't seem to do that any more..
It's still an enjoyable ride but not worth a 3 hour wait for it. If they do some basic maintenance on the ride they could bring it back to it's former glory.

This was our first visit to Disney California Adventure in over 15 years and out first visit to Cars Land. We rode Radiator Springs Racers twice, first thing when we got there and again in late afternoon. There are three parts to the ride, a leisurely drive through the scenery, a dark ride through Radiator Springs, and ends with a race between two cars. While the wait can be long, the queue is scenic. One tip, if you use the single rider line, it goes faster but your group will not sit together.

We were lucky enough to walk into California adventure and a couple was leaving and gave us their fast pass for the ride so literally walked directly on to the ride!!!
I never have been on it before my wife had been .....
We get on the and got the part were you race to the finish line and the ride broke down with us on it. We waited about ten minutes until it got going again.
When the ride got back to the entrance and the employees were cool enough to let us ride again...
We were able to go again and experience the other version of the ride the second time around.

This is a lot of fun, speeding along the track with the wind in your hair. (Hold onto your hat!) It's very, very popular, and the Fast Passes are all gone very quickly early in the day, so if you don't have youngsters with you, seriously consider Single Rider and split up. The ride sensation is the same, but you can be on the ride in just 5 minutes sometimes, and you might be racing against others in your party, anyway. Well worth a ride.

Thankful we had a fast pass, but well worth the wait if we hadn’t. Absolutely loved this ride. If we could ride it multiple times then we would have.

RS Racers Logistics - This is probably the most popular ride at CA Disney so go get a fast pass as soon as you enter. Fast pass and those who line up in the Single riders line won't wait longer than 20 minutes. I've never seen the standby line under 60 minutes. I don't know any ride in Disney worth 1+ hours, IMO.
RS Racers Ride - Three (3) Riders in the front and back for each car and you're off. There's 2 parts to the ride. 1) Cruisin - You drive by a great miniature version of the Mulnomah Falls slowly. Then you head into the mountains for some night time canyon driving where the pace picks up a little. Afterwards, you cruise into the Cars town for some metro scenery and then you're sent to either the Tire shop for new tires or the paint shop for new paint. After you're ready to race! 2) Race time! - You line up with another car to your side and then both cars blast through the canyons for an awesome race experience. Fun turns at high speed and undulating straightaways really makes this part of the ride a blast! After the race, the ride is over and you can check out your pictures afterwards.
Although a short ride, it is well designed, extremely scenic and tons of fun. You actually feel like you're in the Cars movie itself. Disney budgeted a lot of capital for this ride and it is evident which is why it's so popular. If I could only go on one ride at California Disney, this would be it. See you on the tracks!

this ride is actually in California Adventure portion of the theme-park. I have never been in the car that has won the race.... That being said, this is a fantastic roller-coaster type ride, that takes you through the movie the settings of the movie CARS. Upon entering the park head to this ride first. As wait times rapidly escalate to the 90 - 120 minute point.

This is basically the same ride as Test Track at Epcot. But what a great ride. The length of the line can tell you than. Some hints. Make this your first fast pass. They sell out fast. If not try the single rider line even with a group. Many times they put single riders in the same set of cars.

This ride is unlike any we've ever been on. First of all, it is located in the amazing Cars Land that makes you think that you are entering the town of Radiator Springs, and once on this ride, you feel like you have become one of the locals and prepare for the race of a life time (against another fellow rider/racer). Both of your cars line up at the start and race around the outskirts of the town with a winner at the end. Sometimes it's you and other times, its your opponent.
Be warned that because this is the most popular ride in California Adventures, it is the first to generate a long line in the morning, sell out of fast passes by noon and have a normal stand by wait time of 60 min or more. The best chance you have is to get a fast pass first thing in the morning (or just go get in line) or constantly check the app to see if the line goes down at anytime. If you have little ones, make sure you get a FastPass so everyone can have a turn (you can take up to 3 people with you when the rest of your party returns), but bring your little one with you when asking for a FastPass. They won't give it directly to you until your close to getting on the ride.
Overall, awesome ride! Try it at least once, but you'll probably want to keep going once you've tried it.

We have been to Disney World and now Disneyland California. This was by far our favorite ride out of both places!!!! Definitely want to go back, even if it’s just for this ride!

We managed to do this ride twice in 1 day. We probably could have done it a few more times but didn't feel the need to. The trick is to get in the park when it opens. We first went to get the Frozen show fast passes. Then we got fast passes for the whole family for this ride while our kids were riding Toy Story Mania. Then, my husband and I went into the single rider line where there was no wait. We ended up in the same car since the cars fit 6 (3 per row) and a family of 4 was in it. After we got out, our kids had also gone into the single rider line and rode it that way. When our fast passes time came up, we rode it all together.
The ride is fun but not as fast as Test Track in FL. We prefer Big Thunder and Hyper Space Mountain, both of which we rode more times than this ride.
I definitely would not want to stand in the 90 minute lines which were normal in the afternoons. The fast passes were mostly gone for the day by late afternoon so if you want to ride this, you need to get there early.

The line was over two hours long!! My family and I used the single ride lane, which was much faster, but we didn't get to sit together. There is a picture at the end of the ride, where it would have been nice if we had a shot of the whole family.
The ride itself was so cool. The facade was amazing, and the cars inside the attraction were lifelike and fun to look at. Then there is a raceway where you race another car, where there are speeds up to 40 MPH. This reminds me of Test Track in Epcot, without the animation - or racing another car. I got to experience this ride twice on two different days. In fact, I made my family come back to the California Adventure just to experience this one ride. Little kids will love it!!

A great ride but good luck if you do not get a fast pass because the wait in the standby line is awful.

As a 70s kid I use to race slot cars. As we raced our little cars we would dream of driving them. Never did I think I would actually get the opportunity to ride in a slot car. Radiator Springs Racers is just that, a full sized slot car track. In addition to that i'm riding in cars from the movie cars. In addition to that the scenery is top level. If Disney was still selling E-Tickets, this would be an E-Ticket ride. The entire Radiator Springs side of the park is an entire park in itself. Very worth the trip. This attraction is very exciting & unusual.

We went here the first day we arrived on my son's birthday. The ticket counter gave us a free superpass for him for this ride since it was his #1 choice. We were able to get into the FastPass line up - the guy said about a 20 minute wait however it was only 10 mins! We were able to walk right up and got onto the ride, my son was so excited. At this point in the day, the ride had a wait time of 2 hours. My husband wanted to go back and enjoy it with him again and they waited an hour! LOL

This is similar to the test track ride at Epcot in Florida but way cooler due to the theming. Disney has recreated Radiator Springs from the movie and you have the opportunity to race another car. The lines can get long in the afternoon so get there early and/or use fast passes.

This ride went down every single day we were there. We paid for lightning lane on top of genie plus and got lucky and were able to ride, but it was always down. It's very cute! It does go pretty fast, so it's almost like a beginners roller coaster, heads up.

We got a fast pass and it was a long wait to the ride. We were in line and the ride broke down so we had to do it last of our day. Its a popular ride so you have to use fastpass if you want to ride without a huge wait
We frequently saw 110 min wait and think it was probably longer than that. The ride itself is a blast and very good. Its one of the beight spots in an otherwise pretty boring park. Tough to justify the second park pass unless you like a few attractions there . Other than this ride. We would mostly pass on this park unless there was a multi park deal

This is one of our favorite rides. My grandson thinks it is awesome. We laugh so much and really enjoy it.

Carsland really feels like you are stepping into the "Cars" movie. Radiator Springs is the best use of a ride (Test Track) being improved upon as a new offering. The storyline is fun and in keeping with the characters.
It's gentle enough for the young while being clever enough for the old(ER).
While queue line can be long and hot, it's entertaining and can be bypassed with a fast pass.
Note: we enjoyed it more at night given the lighting effects.

The one ride I REALLY wanted to go on at California Adventure and I was lucky enough to get a ride (finally). The ride broke down multiple times on the day I visited but I was lucky enough to be there for the 10 minutes between one break down and the next and get a full ride. This is such a fun ride and great for all ages. Worth getting the fastpass for but book your time early as this is such a popular ride.

My friend talked me into trying this attraction in Cars Land at Disney's California Adventure. I have motion sickness so I was very nervous but as it didn't have any drops or real hills and only a fast section (race) at the end I thought I could handle it just once. We got into the single rider que as it moved faster and we didn't have to ride together to enjoy this. I was so nervous that it was hard to really enjoy this attraction and I had watched video footage on You Tube soo many times, I had the ride practically memorized. The que is beautifully themed and I really enjoyed the signage and the old metal bridge that the que winds beneath as well as the various shops and scenery along the way to the boarding area. I kept watching the people exiting and no one seemed to be pale or suffering from motion sickness or dizziness upon disembarking and smaller children were loving this, so I thought to myself if they can do this, I can do this! I got into my little racecar and took a deep calming breath and tried to enjoy the ride. I did, but my fear of the race did detract from my enjoyment some and the car did seem to travel much faster than I expected even in the "slow parts" in the beginning. The attraction is cute and the ride inside was fun but I guess I am a jumpy person because the truck honking that we pulled out in front of and the red glow of the combine when we were going through the fields both made me scream and I felt stupid as no one else screamed. I knew when the race was going to start as they make it quite clear beforehand so I was prepared. I took a deep breath and tried to remain calm, but I was a bundle of nerves anyway. There were a few small hills that were fun and I didn't experience any motion sensitivity going through them as they were small and little ups and downs. The huge neverending turns though made me feel a bit dizzy and although my stomach was fine, I was glad when we finally got out of the turns. By the end of the ride I was having muscle spasms in my lower back, and I do not have back issues or any pre existing conditions that would have been aggravated by this attraction. They did subside in a couple of minutes but I did exit the ride quite shaky and white knuckled. I am not certain whether they were caused by my anxiety and tension or by the actual ride motion as there is a warning sign about back issues before you board the ride. Or maybe a combination of both. I did recover for the most part quickly and didn't experience any real lingering effects that day. The next two days I did have to take some over the counter pain reliever for my back, but it's been over a week since I rode, and I have absolutely no issues now. I can't say for sure it was the ride entirely though as I was at a hotel trying to sleep on a firm mattress and I use a memory foam mattress at home so the following couple of day's soreness could have been the very firm mattress that I am not used to. When I exited and arrived at the ride photo board I laughed so hard when I saw my face. I was the only one in the car with a look of sheer terror on my face and holding onto the side and front of the car for dear life! My legs felt like jello upon disembarking and it took me a moment to get my bearings back. I was so happy to be okay and felt quite proud that I had done a "big ride". I might do it again someday, but once was enough for me that day. Oh, and our car won the big race!

This ride is excellent, not only are you going for a ride in Radiator Springs, you actually get to race another car there too! The incorporation of the characters in this attraction made this one my mom's favorite attraction at Disney California Adventure Park!

Upon recommendation, we went in 1st thing to grab the Fast Pass. Then we went about our day.
We all loved it ( 2 Adults & Kids age 12 and 7). Reminded me of EPCOT’s Test Track. Starts inside with twists and turns. Then cars go side-by-side to simulate a race.
We got back in Single Rider line. Wait was less then 15 minutes (regular line was over 1 hr).

For any fan of Disney or Cars, this ride is a must do! You are taken through Radiator Springs in a car and get to see scenes from the movies and all of your favorite characters! There are a couple of loud scary parts, but overall, it is great for children as well!
At the end, you get to race around Radiator Springs with another car.
When I went, the ride broke down half way through, so they had to evacuate the ride. I did get to ride it again since the staff presented me with a voucher. It was also very cool to see the set with the lights on!

This ride is absolutely amazing - the theming is brilliant. Any Cars fans will absolutely love this and even if you haven't seen the film you cannot fail to be impressed. The outdoor part of the ride is quite fast with a few small ups and downs which could be a little bit scary for younger kids but we thought it was fantastic. The queues get very long so I would definitely get a fast pass as soon as you arrive at the park.

Best ride in the park. It was closed and we did buy the lightning lane passes. Still waited 25 minutes but was better than 110. Time is money.

Radiator Springs is the name of the car "racing" ride and the name of the area of California Adventure in which the ride is located. The best part of this ride is the "race" at the end, in which your car is pitted against another to see who can reach the finish line first. The secret to winning lies in how much noise you make. Lots of fun!

We had a fast pass for the evening, however, it was late morning and we decided to stand in the stand by line since it was just over an hour...three hours later, we finally got on the ride. There was a malfunction on the ride (second day in row) causing it to be taken down for a period of time. We elected to stay and gave up our FP for later. When the ride breaks down, the Fast Pass holders get priority so it caused us to wait longer. The ride was fun but I will use the Fast Pass next visit. For our WDW travelers, it is very similar to Test Track but the race outside is side by side with another car. There is no care design to entertain you in line and the lines wrap around outside, in and out of cute, themed buildings so you are not in the direct sun much.

The Imagineers at Disneyland/DCA did such a wonderful job recreating Radiator Springs on this ride in particular. The jaunt around the American Southwest that the beginning of this ride takes you is like stepping into the movie. Then reliving fun parts with the tractor tipping and escaping the big combine and then slowing down through the town before either getting new tires or paint is great. Then its off to the races. Its a great combo of leisurely drive with speed-demon ending. Love it. Sure the line can be long, but it's a great ride, so why not?

This is a great ride for young and old. You sit in a 6-passenger car as you calmly pass through some amazing scenery, including a huge sandstone formation and a waterfall. You then pass by several of the Cars animated characters who are discussing the big upcoming race. You need to get ready for the race, so a quick stop in either the tire shop or the paint shop and your car is ready to go. The race starts and you travel high-speed alongside another car to the finish line. It's incredibly well done and one of our very favorites. Because of this, the lines can be very long (90+ minutes at times). FastPass is available, but typically runs out early in the day, so get here early.

First of all, this ride reminds me of Test Track at Epcot, but of course it is themed completely different. I loved this ride because I felt like I was in the movie. I felt like I was actually in a canyon. We rode after dark, so it was super fun. Be sure and use Max Pass for this. This was the last ride before the park closed, and I'm glad we fit it in. It was fun to race the car next to us. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed the ride, but long wait time. Don’t agree with the extra charge for this line. It should be included with the genie pass.

This ride is incredible. I love that it isn't just a summary of the movie we all love. You get to ride in a car and take a tour of Radiator Springs and see all of your favorite characters. Then, you are prepped for your race and sent zooming over a few hills and around the bend. The winner is determined at random, but it is always fun to "talk trash" with the neighboring car. I love the guest interaction it creates even if it is incredibly short lived. I am just sad the height requirement is so high. I know my three year old will love it as soon as she is tall enough. Her siblings happily ride on it two or three times a day each trip with me. It's one of the reasons we keep returning to California even though we travel to Disney World annually. This is an absolute must do!!
Make sure to be at DCA at park opening to get a fast pass. Then hop in line and ride it first thing. If you make it just before park closing you can get three rides in while hopefully missing the 1-2 hour waits this ride often sees. Also know that they have a single riders line which will save you some time if you don't mind being separated.

So unexpecting! Perfect for everyone, but don't be fooled this is a ride. So much fun and so creative!

It is an excellent game for the whole family, but there are always long lines, get your FastPass as early as possible because they deplete at noon.

We had an awesome experience in Dec and loved the Christmas theme throughout California Adventure Park. Definitely go again!!!

Ok we went for the FIRST TIME this month. Loved loved LOVED the ride along with the town created leading up to the ride. Great job Disney!! The lines are very long...and in the heat it's not fun. Be sure you have water and snacks for the kids and an extra person in line in case the kids need to go to the bathroom. You'll need someone to hold your spot. I think it has fast passes but it is not near the ride at all.
The ride does NOT disappoint once one.

wow! we were blown away with the detail the designers were able to capture in this attraction. it's got so much authenticity and yet so much imagination and did i mention it's fun?! i'm not even a big fan of the movie and i was completely enthralled. super fun!

The perfect combination between a ride which shows part of the movie and a roller coaster style ride. You start by seeing characters from the movie and ends with a car race.

Our first port of call at California Adventure Park was to get a fastpass for this ride - so glad we did. The lines were quickly up to the 45 minute mark and fastpasses quickly ran out. Disney are masters at making aride accessible for all ages and this was no exception. The Cars story was intertwined with fast turns and acceleration to please adults and kids alike. Would have loved to go on it again but without a fastpass the queues are just too long when you onlly have a day here.

Jaw-dropping detail and imagination - this is the finest "dark ride" / E Ticket attraction in the entire park! All of your favorite characters from the film are larger than life and perfect in every detail. And hold onto something 'cause this ride delivers thrills and highspeed fun too! Getting a Fast Pass is absolutely essential if you don't want to wait for 60+min in the queue (you can also save a lot of time if you opt for the Single Rider line).

Love this ride. I could go on it over and over. Disney always puts in such a cute show for their rides and this one does not disappoint. Always a long line, so plan your day accordingly.

We loved this ride so much, we did it several times each day that we were in California Adventure. It's a fun combination of a clever theme executed in typically great Disney style, with a high-speed roller coaster style race between two side-by-side cars at the end. In the middle part of the ride, there are two different paths (paint job or tires changed) and the cars alternate; it doesn't matter which position you board at because the same car will switch back & forth between the two routes.
Each car seats 6 passengers, in two rows of 3. The front row is best, for an unobstructed view, and the center seat has the most legroom. They take photos at the finish line.
There is usually a very long standby line for this ride, all day and evening - an hour or longer. So definitely at least get a Fast Pass to avoid wasting so much time. Even better, there are a couple of ways to get on it with almost no wait time:
(1) Use the single rider line. Because of the 3x3 configuration, with most groups being 2 or 4 people, they end up putting a LOT of single riders in and that line moves very quickly. Often you'll end up in the same car as your companion, one in front and one in back. When the standby line was at 70 minutes, we went single and ended up on the ride in 5 minutes! The downside is that you may not get a photo together, and if you have a child you need to ride with, this isn't an option.
(2) Go during Extra Magic Hour. But we did Soaring first, since it doesn't have a single rider line (and that was a great idea, it was virtually empty, whereas in the afternoon it had a 90-minute line) and then went over to Radiator Springs, knowing there would be a good number of people ahead of us. The sign said 20 minutes, and the single line wasn't open...but the sign was wrong, it was really only 5-10 minutes to get on the ride. And, when we finished, there was NOBODY in line! We started to get out, the attendant asked us, "Do you want to go again? Sit down!" Even when we finished our second ride, there wasn't a line. I think there's a big rush at 7am and then it calms down until the public opening at 8.

I was not sure what to expect from Radiator Springs Racers. We got a Fastpass early in the day, and our time slot was already around 9 p.m. I definitely recommend Fastpass for this ride.
The ride takes you through a scenario of a race brewing in Radiator Springs complete with interactions from the different Cars characters. Then the race begins! You race another car through the track.
As soon as the ride was over, I wanted to do it again! I highly recommend this ride!

You are put in a car and it essentially goes round a race track fairly fast. There is the added interest of the feeling of “racing” another car next to you. Lines are very long as it is not part of the Genie+ system. You have to pay extra for a lightning pass for this (even if you already have the Genie+), which is a rip-off. Go first thing or very late. This morning, by 8.30am, the waiting time was up to 90 minutes!

After 6 days in Disney/Universal Studios and Knotts Berry Farm, this is the ride we waited longest for. It was OK, but not worth 75 minutes!
OMG so much fun!
This was my favorite ride in DL. A little taste of fast and furious. Wait times were long. A definite don’t miss ride.
