Wife loves to go play Pokemon Go so we took the dogs and walked around the park for a couple hours. The park has miles of walking trails and several different playground structures. There are multiple picnic areas and trash cans for throwing away any garbage or doggy bags you might have.

This has become a destination for me when I’m in the area to eat my workday lunch. It is really well kept and clean. It’s a great place to bring young children to play or launch a kayak. I like to park in the shade and have lunch.

Great place to walk some trails. Lots of kid friendly play equipment and covered picnic tables. Clean and well kept.

I have been there on community projects for young peoplle, family picnics, school reunions....it is a lovely park with many different settings, from trails, playgrounds, football areas and large covered picnic area.

Rood Bridge park is a quiet and peaceful place to take a walk. Lots of the trails are shaded so in the summer it is quite pleasant even when its hot out. I have never seen it overcrowded although there are always lots of people there. There is a huge pond and lots of ducks raising their chicks in the spring. People who take theie dogs are quite respectful of others on the trail and there are dog waste bags provided which people must use as I have never seen any piles left by our canine friends. There are tennis courts as well, but I don't know the hours of use for the courts. Probably the same as the park which closes at dusk. Take your lunch if you like, but like in every other place I have been in Oregon, the bees will be attracted to your meal so be prepared for that. There are huge covered areas with lots of picnic tables under them and I see lots of different groups use this area for get togethers. I have also seen photographers taking pictures of couples and families as well as wedding pictures.
I encourage you to check it out. Its a great park.

This park has good playground equipment, nice natural areas and lovely water. It has a little bit of everything from small children to adults. The playground is a bit removed from the natural walking/jogging trails so if you're looking for some quiet time in nature the kids won't bug you too much.

This is not a fish friendly park. the lake is all chocked up with lillies. limited area at the river. The city sewer plant empties in at the river, has a mild tomedium smell. Stick bait smells better.
The park it self is very nice, except all 6 bathrooms we locked up. Had to use porta potty :(.

Excellent nature paths, lots of wildlife, great for photography. Good for a picnic or just a walk. Very nice, taken care of very well.

Our kids grew up Riding out to Rood Bridge Park, and Riding the Paved Path's that go all thru the Large Park. as all the seasons change, so does the park keeping it one of our Favorite destinations.

Huge park, lots of open green spaces. Ample parking, and a great place to host a party. They have 3 shelters, and a river house which affords great views from its patio.

I hiked here every day of my 2 week stay. Excellent for cardio. Try all the different paths. Really beautiful.

I always come here with my pup and a couple of hours pass by quickly here due to the beauty of this place! It’s the best during the summer months because it’s the most active and seems like the water is flowing and the park is the liveliest. As it gets a little chillier, they seem to be fixing things up at the park and stopping the running water through out the park which is a bit of a bummer. Still in love with this park though!

We recently hosted a family event at the Rood Bridge Park River House. It was a perfect space for our gathering of 50 people, including children. There is a large group space with gorgeous wood beams, a large gas fireplace and big windows overlooking a scenic view of the pond and trees. The kitchen is open to the main space over a counter and the center provides both round and rectangle tables. The kitchen has an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher and a large refrigerator. There are nice bathrooms and another room at the end of a hall with a door that we found very convenient for setting up as a kids play area. The staff was helpful and reachable throughout our event. Clean up took 20 - 30 minutes for 8 of us. We found we needed an extension cord for setting up coffee pots in the main area. The park itself has a great playground but it was a little too far away from the River House to be of use to us.

We walk our dog here daily, and never tire of the scenery,as it changes with the weather and season. Beautifully maintained and photo opportunity at every turn

I have been to Three Church Pikniks and this has been an excellent location. I like the paths and the water features leading to the River.

This is a beautiful park with lots of room to wander and a nice play area for kids. Paths run through it, and it is pet friendly. It is true that the pond is no longer available for our Labrador to swim in due to the abundance of water lilies, but that is probably the only down side.

Very nice family park with tennis courts, play ground and a medium size hike that is good for all ages.

Spontaneous date night decision to take a walk at dusk after an ice cream date. Very relaxing to stroll around slowly and take out time to take in the beautiful nature. I love the little steams and the duck pond with all the lily pads.

I had my baby shower here in April under the pavilion. It was a bit windy and chilly but I was thankful for the fireplace where we could all roast marshmallows and make smores! Beautiful place with space and places for the kids to play. Not to mention all the great trails and photo ops!

A great place for picnics, walking, and people watching. There are covered areas for group picnics/gatherings, playground, tennis courts, and plenty of parking.

Great park for kids to play, but also a nice path for a walk to a river or stream. Very pretty and refreshing.

This is a rather large park, with miles of trails, ponds, meadows, pavilions and trees. Great for company or family picnics, nature observing, hiking and just lazing in the sun (or rain!)

My wife and I have been to this park several times; it is only a few miles from our home. It offers picnic tables and walking trails, with meadows and ponds and streams and rivers. The latest time was to take some pictures for an online scavenger hunt that we participate in. It was a drizzly day, but still scenic and beautiful, with rhododendrons blossoming beneath the tall conifers.

We love this little park. Great paths, sitting areas, & a small pond.
We do wonder what the issue is with the water. That is the only reason I didn't give this a 5 star. It is not flowing & hasn't been for a while. With all the rain we get here in Oregon you would figure this would flow year round.

Rood Bridge Park has a great playground, also several nice walking paths. There are lawns for picknicks and game playing a nice pond. There are several picknick areas that are for rent.

I have used this park for several photo shoots. Even when the rhodys aren't in bloom, the park is beautiful. Trails circle the park, wide open area, a playground, a pavilion, several shelters, plenty of picnic tables and benches, a pond, a lake and a creek. Best part - it's generally quiet and big enough to get away from the noise if need be.

Very fun place for family and kids. I did hear of a cougar sighting just after we had visited but that was a long time ago and I think the ODFW took care of it. In short, it's a great place for families, picnics and birthday parties.

Rood Bridge Park has a beautiful tennis court that is well maintained. Restroom facilities and plenty of picnic tables w/grills. There is a lily pond and walking trails. Overall a very nice park that I return to frequently.

I like to go for walks here, but it can be a little creepy in the back part of the park as it it wooded and secluded. Take a friend!

This is a well kept park for kids, dogs, sports and cyclists. It's next to a golf course and a quiet street. Love this place!

There are a few trails that meander throughout the park amidst tall evergreens, over stone bridges, and past a small lake and a very quaint pond. A lovely setting for a photo shoot or to take a walk and get close to nature - songbirds, ducks, geese, squirrels, and beaver. There is also a very nice playground, which my kids love to play on, near a shelter and the parking lot.

My family has been going to Rood Bridge Park for over 10 years. It is a wonderfully large park with nice trails, ponds, meadows, a playground, and picnic area. The beautiful thing about Rood Bridge Park is that it works for just about everyone. From individuals out for a run, to playdates, to family get-togethers, to large group cookouts, this park can truly accommodate everyone. I've even seen couples having wedding photos taken by the small pond. My Girl Scout troops held bridging ceremonies here (there are multiple bridge to choose from) as well as end-of-year family picnics. It's a great place for a quiet walk, too. Whether you want a nature experience or just a place with big open lawns to hang out with friends, Rood Bridge Park has what you need.

Not a primitive park, this is a city-type park. Busy at some times, not at others. Mostly people keep dogs on leashes. Pucnic areas could be cleaned more often. Grassy areas and paths around the lake are great foor walking, not too rugged or steep.

We like to take our dog and walk this park. It is so pretty and the trails are really nice. It is like being out in the country. Peaceful.

Its a very nice park for older and younger kids alike. Lots of space for biking if the playstructure doesnt hold their interest anymore

Excellent paddle board/kayak launch. Very scenic, peaceful and rugged. Like to SUP this river without my large center fin…lots-o-snags just below the surface. Pack a lunch and paddle down to Farmington Launch Site. I was able to paddle upstream, but I’m sure that may be short lived as we head toward November.

Hillsboro's most beautiful park:trails, picnic benches, bbqs, photo ops, and playground make this a nice place to go .

great paths, all around beautiful grounds, tennis courts, picknicking area that's covered and there's also conference or private rooms to rent.

This is a gorgeous park within easy distance from Hillsboro. Lots of paved trails which wind through wooded areas as well as streams, rivers and wetlands. It is a great place to walk your dog! Rarely crowded (except maybe Sunday's during summer). Weekdays are perfect!

I have enjoyed walks and restful picnics here for years. The asphalt walkways are wonderful for strolling or jogging. Make sure you explore some of the dirt trails as well. If you have kids, there is a nice play structure, some covered picnic areas (for large parties), and a little stream. Often, there are ducks, frogs, and beautiful flowers. It's such a beautiful park that on more than one occasion, I've seen photographers there holding family, graduation, and engagement photo sessions. A peaceful little retreat when you need one.

This is a beautifully designed park that has outdoor covers and one indoor cover. Even in the rain it's nice. The only draw back is too much rain cuts off part of the path and you have to wait for some dry days to get back to walking all the way around. Maybe that can be fixed.

Take a leisurely stroll through the trails, play on the generous grassy area, or dip your toes in a meandering stream. Great family destination!

This is a beautiful Park to take walk at, or bring your kids to play at the playground. There are lots of interesting areas, and the landscaping is really nice. Covered picnic areas are there, as well.

Rood Bridge Park has trails, open park spaces and covered areas that can be reserved as well as a nice indoor space that can be reserved. Some of the reserved spaces do cost so check with the staff on the latest charges. There is plenty of parking although you may have to walk to your location as the parking lot covers the front area of the park only. This is not a central location so typically more of a Hillsboro locals park. If you go spend some time on the trails, water and walking around the park.

This park seems to have it all! A great variety of play equipment for both young and older children, large grassy areas, covered areas with plenty of picnic benches, out houses, both paved and unpaved paths that wander through the scenic landscapes, and a couple of ponds! There is plenty of space for everyone here! You can easily spend a day here so bring outdoor toys and your lunch!

Great parks for walking and for kids. Large play structure for the little ones. Lots of wildlife and large ponds.

You can have the most beautiful wedding at this location by the water. Your kids can play in acres of grass and play equipment. You can stroll thru beautiful grounds, forested and streams and sit by a calming lake. Have a BBQ or bring a meal, there are plenty of picnic tables. There is even a club house if you want to have a private event. It's just perfect

This is a well maintained park. Fun around every corner for a young explorer. Great for picnics too.

Lived in Hillsboro for five years before discovering this gem. Lots of housing going up around it now so will likely become much more crowded. Beautiful lake with lily pads, wide paved path goes most everywhere, off trail paths too wet and muddy in rainy season. Lots of big grassy fields.

Great shelters and even better building for events.nice trails and play structures. Rhodie garden is very extensive and beautiful.great place for summer walks,Winter is a challenge since the trails are usually under a couple feet of water.

Nice park with hiking trails through trees, along a river and a creek, a pond. Lots of rhododendrons that bloom in the spring. Trails good for hiking in the snow, too. Also has a playground and tennis courts. A pavilion is available to rent for parties, gatherings or meetings.

There are many trails to walk on and nice quiet areas to just sit and watch the world go by. I would not bring children to spend the afternoon here but they do have an outdoor covered area for BBQs, etc. They also have a building that can be rented out for events.

This is a beautiful place to walk, have a picnic or have a wonderful wedding. My family & friends have used this park for years.

I have gone there often to put in my kayak on the Tualatin River, for a nice hike or part of a bike ride. They have tennis courts, weddings and such events and many paths, paved and unpaved.

Park is located where Rock Creek enters the Tualatin River. Large park with trails for runners, walkers, dogs, and strollers. Some old growth areas for the nature lovers. Also a rental hall for weddings and other gatherings. Nice playgound and water features. Very will laid out. I bring our dog here all the time for jogging and exploring.

We really enjoy the little river that goes through - the quiet paths that meander through the park -

I love going to this place to walk my dog. The trails are nice, and you can walk long or short distances depending on the trail you choose. It's a nice family park, too.

This park is off the beaten path and a very nice wooded area to take your four-legged friend for a walk. We have let ours off leash if no one else is around, which is often the case.

Yup, to yourself. This quaint little park has trails so good that the cross country teams from the area use it for official races. The trails weave around lovely ponds...and there are tennis courts as well. Great for a walk, run or a picnic.

Took my great grandson there to play. It has a great playground, picnic area, pond with an assortment of birds, and nice trails. Also real bathrooms which to me are so important when you have little ones especially.

Tucked away near Hillsboro High School this fairly young park on SE River Road is a delight for walking, group picnics, cycling and trails for hiking. Lots of park benches and play areas for children and families.
Lovely the year around, but the trails maybe closed in bad winters. Has a beautiful pond that glimmers pink during early spring with fallen flower petals and shimmers a cool green in early spring and late summer with sheddings from the trees. I have seen people inadvertently step into the shallow edges of the pond thinking it is grass there. The park also has a rhododendron garden, small rivulets, tall trees and two large covered picnic areas. The park has a River Place building for formal weddings, meetings and such.
The drive past this park on SE River Road for a few miles is also very scenic and beautiful. The first two pictures were taken in early March. The next two in April last year.

As the seasons change, so does the scenery and surroundings. Lots of walking paths, birds and water.

Wedding rehearsal and dinner/BBQ were held in this perfect location. Nice covered areas, clean restrooms and beautiful locale. Well maintained and manicured picnic area. Ample parking.

Wedding rehearsal dinner - it was a great setting with indoor seating, full kitchen for caterers, ample restrooms; outdoor space for cornhole game, outside beverages and chatting, and room for kids to roll down the hill.

I run a day camp and we love this park. Its very big with well organized spaces for different uses. There is a playground area with some covered lunch areas so that you can watch the kids and sit in the shade, there are several large fields, nice clean bathrooms, paved path ways throughout, and a lovely little stream that is safe for the little ones to play in. The stream or was it down into a little pond area where all the kids love to watch the frogs in the tadpole and wildlife. Further on down the pathway and around the bend is a larger Pond. It is not visible from the parking lot or the main park area which I like because if you don't want to take the kids there they don't have to know about it!

We've been here twice with our dog. This is a nice, large park with trails, ponds, playground, river boat ramp access, a building you can rent, and more.

Beautiful trails in this park. Also a nice park to have events such as birthdays and wedding receptions. I love the layout of this park and it has plenty of parking for visitors.

This park has beautiful trails and multiple water features. You can take a long walk or short through grassy areas perfect foe a picnic or through the woods. Dog friendly. Tennis courts, play grounds and rentable pavilions. Because of all these amenities school holidays and summer can be very busy and parking can be challenging. Not a huge park so when it's busy you definitely lose the feeling of really being alone or out in nature.

Covered picnic areas, a gentle stream running through the park, nice paths for walking. Good areas for playing frisbee or other games. Play equipment for young children. You can reserve an area for a group picnic.

The facilities are always clean and well kept. There are a variety of activities and of services. I've visited many times for various functions and have never been disappointed. I've also just dropped in occasionally for a little relaxing time with nature.

Rood Bridge Park is the local access to launching Canoe and Kayak into the Tualatin River, located close to where Rock Creek flows into it. Great location for the casual Boater and Fishermen.
The Park itself is a good gathering place for Family and Friends with benches, Picnic Tables and Walking Paths, but keep in mind that it is near a significant water source, so watch those Kiddies and non-swimmers. Rule #1 with anyone I go with is, when they are anywhere near the water, they must have a PFD on.
I like taking my canoe and fishing for Bass and Panfish for a very relaxing day trip fishing with surface and sub-surface Rebels and Rapala Minnow or Crawfish lures, Spinners and Jigs under a Float. When fishing or boating the Tualatin, keep a sharp eye on the ODFW Synopsis (Regulations) for what is allowed and what is not.
Be prepared for the 'smell' of the water as during the Summer months, it tends to be slightly Tanic and stagnant due to lessened water flow. I highly recommend all fish taken from the Lower Tualatin be 'Catch-n-Release' to keep the fish in there for everyone to enjoy.

I love taking walks here in the spring and fall seasons. The flowers are blooming and so scenic. There's grassy area for sports and picnics as well as a play ground for the kids. My favorite part is the nature walking path through the woods and man made babbling brook. Just a lovely and peaceful place to be.

Nicely paved trails and restrooms. Sports fields and playgrounds; Old growth trees, meadows and beautiful landscaping are all over. Not too many dogs. Some buildings that you could rent for events and really great parking.

This park has places for everyone. The cultivated side has playground equipment, a
pavilion, the rhododendron garden, ponds, and grass meadows.
The wild side has walking trails through the woods, a large pond with waterfowl, a
bridge over a small river, and peace and solitude most of the time. It's a great place
to get away from the city.
There is also the River House which people can rent out for special occasions. It has
a beautiful view of the big pond.

Great place for my son and I to take a nature walk and then play time. Seems perfect place for birthday party.

Lots of beautiful trees and flowers! The park is 60 acres and includes a boat launch, two tennis courts, trails for walking or bicycling (two miles worth, one mile paved), two pedestrian bridges, a pond, picnic areas, a boat launch, and the River House designed for accommodating meetings, educational classes and private functions such as weddings.

A wonderful park to walk with dogs or children. Clean paved and nature trails, some of them near a creek. A large lily pond and a smaller one, both homes to numerous duck families. Covered shelters with picnic tables.

Rood Bridge Park is in south Hillsboro and is a beautiful park with waling trails, covered Picnic area and outdoor picnic areas. It also has a building that is rentible for small meetings, Birthday Parties, or other occasions. It is called Rood Bridge Park River House. Location is 4000 SE Rood Bridge Rd. Hillsboro OR
I was there for a Birthday Party and Family Reunion event. They had scheduled a covered area and it was wonderful.
This is a Park run by Hillsboro Park and Recreation. It is owned by the City.

There is something for everyone at this park. I visited on the only sunny day for weeks in March, and was immediately captivated by how lovely it was. There were kids on the playground, and runners, walkers, and dog owners on the trails. Picnic areas are available, as are plenty of restrooms. The trees were beginning to blossom, as were the rhodedendrons. I love this park and hope to visit every time I am in town.

Best and most varied walking trails, walk a different path every day and for miles. reserve a pavillion, bbq, picnic, tennis, watch the wild life. Well worth it!

Great park with play structures, swings, paved trail, covered picnic area, tennis courts, ponds, grassy areas and more. Also ample parking spots. This park also has a rhododendron garden which is beautiful when in bloom in the spring.

We recently discovered this park as an excellent option for walking our dogs. Looping back and forth a bit, we can circle a pond and stretch out on wide, paved trails; no worry of muddy or flooding conditions you sometimes experience in other parks during winter. The terrain feels expansive and offers incline to stretch out. There is a rhododendron garden and mention of the rhododendron being Hillsboro's official flower (who knew?) as well as nice picnic tables for an informal gathering. The park also has a facility you can rent for formal events, tennis courts and a playground. This is one we'll share with family and friends for after dinner walks!

This park has a nice play structure and lots of walking trails. It has a great variety of scenery and natural areas - providing a good 2 hour experience for families.

A peaceful and scenic palce to have a constitutional with a variety of paths and a placid lake as a reward for a shortish walk

Rood Bridge Park is a medium sized park along the banks of the Tualatin River and in rural Washington County. It has several nice walking/jogging trails, tennis courts, basketball, and a place to put your boat in the river for a meandering ride.
The facility also includes several buildings that can be reserved for events which overlook the wetland areas. Great for picnicking.

Walking through this park you hear birds and little critters everywhere. The trails are mostly flat, so most everyone can make the loops. There is even a river on the backside you can hear...ahhh The other end has a playground, tennis courts, and covered picnic areas. Great for families.

This park is quite large. A play structure for the kids (in hot weather, the equipment is too hot to play on!!!), plenty of wooded, garden type areas to walk thru. Good paths for long walks or running. Small stream running thru which our grandkids loved running thru.

We needed some quiet time after our hustle, bustle day in Portland. Located 5 minutes from our hotel, we enjoyed the large grassy areas and mature trees. A creek meanders throughout and joins up with a small river. There is a covered picnic area and a playground.

Nice park for a romantic walk, holding hands. Looking at the flowers, Lilly pads, birds and animals. Bring a camera.

Great park for a walk with my grandson. Lots of paved paths and ponds for looking at wildlife. I like to come in the fall to see the migrating birds.

This park is very surprising in its depth and breath. There are tennis courts, play structures for kids, trails for exercise or lover's lazy strolls. There are multiple water features including the west most public boat ramp for the Tualatin River. There is also a nice building that can be reserved for family or group activities and parties. I attended a Boy Scout Eagle Court of Honor ceremony there and it help easily the 60 or more people. This is a great park.

We love going to this park because it’s not only relaxing but there’s pathways that have beautiful views. Great for picnics or just to play frisbee.

We take our kayaks to the launch here on the Tualatin River. It has amazing 4 season scenery. Blooming rhodies & azaleas in the spring, lots of firey fall foliage in the spring. In the winter when the water levels rise, the paths change a bit, and the kids love to take their moutain bikes up and over the mud and fallen branches. Summer is gets crowded especially on the lawns but it just adds to the atmosphere. The bathrooms are always clean and appreciated. We have rented the covered areas with fireplaces for parties. My kids also took a cooking class thru park & rec at the River House here.
Just really nice, expansive grounds and great facilities.

A peaceful hikers paradise with a river, flower garden, playgrpund, and truly gorgeous ramadas. They 3ven have a building for wedding receptions.

Gorgeous setting. Not too far from town, but you feel like you are in the country. Beautiful fall foilage and many picture spots. Dog friendly.

The park has paved trails which are great to walk, run or bike on. There's picnic tables, tennis courts and a playground. There's plenty of parking, and there's no charge to get in.

We were at the southern building and it was perfect for a wedding reception. Sufficient space for food tables, gift table, and space to sit.

This is a great park with lots of trails and open space but parts can be flooded during the wet season. There are a few geocaches to be found and the park can be very busy on a nice day.

This is one of the best parks you can find in the Portland area.
I walk my dog in this park. The fun thing about this park is that it has some many different areas:
1) Tennis courts
2) Playground
3) Walking/running paths
4) Small pond/lake
5) Picnic areas
6) Lawns / green areas
7) Walk through the forest
8) Walk along a river
9) In the spring & summer they have a small stream water feature that runs through the part. I trained my dog to jump over it.
10) Buildings for meetings & receptions

Held our family wedding reception here in August. The facilities were excellent with lovely surroundings for photographs and good car parking and a large reception hall.

Lots & lots of shade trees line each path, making it comfortable no matter how warm. There are also open meadows for lounging, bbq, etc. Notice lots of families hold parties here. It can be crowded around the front area, but it is large enough that if you walk down a path you can soon leave the crowd behind & just enjoy the solitude of the trees and creek. Wonderful mix of paved, natural, quiet/social. We ended many days here walking
our dogs & enjoyed it thoroughly.

The trails are paved and not to strenuous of a hike or bike ride. The park has a lake with ducks and frogs to watch. It has a club house for events and clean restrooms. I love this park!I just wish they would clean the trees out of river so you can go rafting down it.

We recently arrived in Hillsboro and are busy exploring all the amazing local parks to walk our dog. Rood Bridge has impressed me most so far. It's such a treat to have this kind of rugged nature so close to home.
Favorite park BUT thieves still attacked
Be AWARE!! This is one of the nicest parks in Hillsboro and while we were Kayaking someone broke the rear window of our truck and stole a bag. Our truck was parked right in front of the visitor center. In broad daylight! It happened between 10-1. Watch your surrounding. Someone targeted us, they had to be watching us park and take off. The bag was hidden so they knew we stuffed it under the back seat. Luckily, all they got was a fresh washed towel.
