We saw the daffodils in March and the tulips in May. Great displays of both for as far as you can see.
The varieties of both will surprise you. I couldn't believe the many daffys. When you say I got enough pictures there was another photo I had to take.
We'll return next year.

My sister and I finally made it to see the beautiful acres of tulips. I love the unique way they are displayed at this garden. Wear you boots if it is wet.

Beautiful gardens with amazing tulips. We were there on a rainy day, but there was still a crowd. Parking is free but there is a charge for admission. Well organized with several gift shops and several paths through a garden area.

Wonderful Tulip gardens, with lots and lots of different varieties of tulips and daffodils. The garden paths are kept clean and the staff are always willing to aid, inform and assist.

Beautiful colors. Totally worth waiting in a long line in the cold!
Would love to visit again next year.

They did a beautiful job of arranging the tulips in different gardens ! Got to go in later in the day and the Tulips were so amazing to see in the late afternoon ! I still look at the pictures in astonishment!

The tulips fields were beautiful. We went in the late afternoon and missed most of the traffic. The last weekend in April was the height of blooms this year due to a late spring. I can't imagine how crowded the fields would be with full parking lots.

Fields of tulips as well as gardens arranged with great color combinations. Be sure to go early as it gets busy. Drive the area to see other fields in bloom.

The tulip festival has been on my bucket list for years and my husband and I finally made it up there. It was everything I hoped for! The flowers were beautiful; there were so many vibrant colors. It was the perfect way to spend the afternoon. Parking was $5 which we luckily had on hand... It would have been nice to see parking info on the website.

This is the second time I have visited the tulip festival - once 10 years ago and then again this April - it has really gotten busy since my last visit. That said - you can still get amazing photos and this is a trip worth doing.

It was a miserably rainy cold day (upper 30s) - why they would charge anyone to look at a few rain beaten down daffodils is disturbing. We expected a lot more from all that we had read about this stop. We checked out the gift shop - and the individuals working were not friendly, not helpful and they seem irritated that we had popped in to check things out. I guess a dreary cold day does that to you - but we were so excited for our visit - and this stop really bummed us out. We asked for information on the daffodil fields and the lady working seemed lost at our question.

Amazing planned gardens and fields -rows and rows of blooming flowers. Plenty of space to explore. Lunch options and drinks to enjoy among the tulips.

The display gardens are beautiful and you can see and find out the names of a variety of tulips that you don't ordinarily find. Shopping the retail store is fun, especially in the fall. Very crowded during the Tulip Festival.

Our family so enjoyed our wonderful walk around the gardens and fields. despite a little rain. The designs and colors were so well thought out and prepared; we will definitely return. Excellent value for money!

Beautiful tulips! Very busy on a Friday as expected. Stroller was slightly hard to push in some areas due to gravel such as the parking lot and the tulip garden area, but would still bring the stroller again!

This is the best display Garden in Skagit County. No trip here in April would be complete without a visit. The have a crew of 5 that work year around to make the Garden wonderful.

Couldn’t have picked a better day-clear blue skies and height seventies. Directions very clear and easily marked. Huge operation with loads of parking and outdoor porta bathrooms. We were able to pull our tickets up and have them scanned upon entry. Although it is a timed ticket, there were many people heading in with us, however, once we were into the gardens, people really spread out and went their own ways. It was so gorgeous and it was such a feast for the eyes-blazing, beautiful colors and rows showcasing different varieties.
There was also a gift shop (can’t comment because I didn’t want to stand in the line) but we did pick up some fudge made by a company called Fidalgo fudge which was fantastic too!

Wow! These gardens are amazing. We were there last Monday and most everything was at peak bloom. Just beautiful formal type Gardens bursting with color. I highly recommend going.
They have food items and sell flowers among lots of other gifts.
There are also fields of flowers. As in rows and rows of tulips and daffodils.
It costs 7.00 per person, free parking.

Words cannot describe the absolute beauty of this place. The day I went had very dark skies with peeks of sun which made for dramatic pics. It is best to go midweek. Traffics can be awful on the weekends during the tulip festival (April).

I have never seen anything like this. You need to go on a sunny day so you can get great pictures. There are lots of people but try and go early. We drove 1 1/2 hours to get there and it was well worth it. The gift shop is very nice with lots of stuff.

Great place for photographers except they open and close too late/early for golden hours. Still fun to photograph, very colorful and you can get up close for macro photography. Admission is charged. Check website for bloom map and best time of the month of April to visit. Gifts shops, snacks and bulb sales possible. I've been twice in 4 years. Worth a nice family outing.

Beautiful Garden! It was raining a bit when we were here so the ground was quite muddy. You would need boots to walk into the garden. The tulips are just so beautiful! A lot of colors.!

There is a cost to enter this display garden but it is worth the money to walk through amazing outdoor gardens of tulips. Take a free catalog, circle the tulips you like the best, and order them for fall delivery. A fresh bouquet of tulips, the kind you could never find in the supermarket, is an inexpensive purchase.

We are visiting the area from Pennsylvania. Our local friends were very tired of dealing with the tulip traffic; we were there after the height of tulip festival activities. We visited the garden on May 2, 2024 and admission was $10 per person due to many of the tulips being trimmed down already. There were still many blooms to see.
This is a great place to take photos, enjoy sunshine, and get fresh fudge!

This is sort of a tourist trappy kind of place with more of a homey vibe. It is beautiful when the tulips are in season but probably not worth a special visit in the off season

Roozengaarde is our favorite in the tulip festival and I much prefer it over Tulip Town. Two tips: 1- Do NOT go on the weekend!!! Seriously. Don’t think to yourself “oh it won’t be that bad. We can suffer though it.” NO! Weekends are the worst and the truck loads of non English speaking tourists who don’t follow rules make it so very much worse. If you can, save yourself the headache and go during the week. 2 - rain or mud boots area must. This is the pacific north west. They are a necessity anyway. The fields get pretty muddy and are a little hard to walk through so take your time and be prepared. The tulips are beautiful and the trip makes for a lovely spring family tradition.

Nice fields and display gardens. Staff was friendly. Was a little walk to the fields but they rotate them yearly so that is to be expected. Seems like more fields than Tulip Town and display gardens are fairly spread out which was nice.

It's crazy busy at this place and the traffic is heavy during the weekend. Go during the week. Tulips are pretty. What we could see. We didn't pay, just rode our bikes by.

We saw the cherry blossoms in DC on Monday and the tulip fields in WA on Saturday! It was a good week! The gardens around the fields are so full of flowers and so nicely laid out. The tulip fields were gorgeous. Wish we could have seen all the daffodil fields when they were in bloom but even though it was the end of the bloom it was so lovely. Good snacks, kettle corn. It was crowded but beautiful weather and just gorgeous.

Beautiful flowers for as far as the eye can see, whats there not to like? Its a great day/ afternoon trip from Seattle. Definitely try going on a day its not raining, otherwise carry boots/ waterproof shoes for the muck and a jacket, it can get windy and cold. Its a large farm so prepare to do some walking around. The main fields are beautiful but they can get a bit repetitive after a point so definitely check out of tulip displays closer to the entrance, they have more colours and combinations on display and what looked like different types of tulips. La Conner is a quaint town close by which made for a nice pits stop before heading back to the city.

This place is very popular and therefore crowded. Get there early to get a nearby parking space and avoid waiting in the entrance line. They open at nine and we got there at about 9:30. Still had a 30 minute wait to buy our tickets, mostly because they only have two ticket booths - one for cash/check and another for credit cards. The cash/check line is faster.
Once you're in, the gardens are nice. Not Keukenhof in Holland by any stretch, but worth the visit.
They sell tulips by the bundle and we bought about 10 bundles. When we asked for a bag, the said it would be an additional 25 cents. I gave them the quarter and they gave us a bag that would barely carry one of our bundles. I walked away leaving the quarter on the table. They apparently needed it more than I did. They might want to reexamine their bag policy.

This is a visit that should be in everyone's bucket list. The display gardens are incredible. Also go to the fields, the views are amazing! We try to go every year.
Try to go during the week, or if you must go on the weekend, go early in the day, or late in the day. There can be huge crowds on small farm roads so the traffic congestion can be terrible. BE THIS IS A NOT TO BE MISSED EVENT every year! Take your camera

During the Tulip Festival (April) you can always see beautiful displays and fields here. Due to limited time this year, it was the only stop I made and it didn’t disappoint. Magnificent color and so many photo ops. And the gift shop is a favorite too. Always leave with tulips. There is an entrance fee.

We visited this place during the week so as to avoid heavy traffic.
The tulips are systematically grown, fields are nicely done and the display is beautiful as well as colorful. Roozengaarde has larger fields of Tulips. We were advised to visit during April or early May and accordingly we visited during the first week of May and reached there around 10 in the morning. Better wear rain boots if visiting on a rainy day.
Good to have photographs with different rows of different colors and variety of Tulips.
We did not have any parking issues.

The staff is always wonderful. Friendly, local and knowledgeable. Fun but crazy during Tulip Festival , bur great all year long.

Beautiful walk through the tulip fields and teh display gardens. Almost a sensory overload experience. Get there early by noon it is very crowded and that is on a Wednesday. Weekends are packed. A totally enjoyable experience.

Used to be we just tooled around the fields, parked on the road, and enjoyed the tulips. That's harder and harder to do, especially as it seems all the fields are owned by perhaps two outfits now, one of the roozengaarde. They do a great job here: handling parking, taking your money, and putting up a really lovely display garden as well as giving you access to some of their fields so you can park your baby or your honey among the blooms and take their picture.

We flew to Washington solely because of the tulips. We were not disappointed. The garden displays were absolutely gorgeous and vibrant. It looks nice in pictures but one must experience it in real life.

Roozengaarde was a great stop at the Tulip Festival. Cooler and cloudier than usual weather means Easter weekend will be much better than now. But the display garden was really nice, the daffs were still in full, and one color field of tulips was coming on strong. They're very organized with parking and entry. Cash, $7 per, 5 and under free, was a much faster line than the credit card like. If it's busy, have cash!
Also, there's a small alpaca farm adjacent. If you or your kids like these gentle, fluffy, cuties, walk by and see them. But be nice. They're not officially part of the deal. Don't badger them. Stay out of their yard! But enjoy them, too.

This is probably a beautiful garden in full bloom, although very small. As others have said, very little in bloom this weekend. Free parking is emphasized, but entrance fee is almost insulting. Many people ARE there to help you park and get to where $$ is taken.
I quickly decided that this is a place, at least when very little is in bloom, to pay money so you can spend more money. Once inside the gate, first stop is the $gift shop$. You can buy $bulbs$, $potted plants$, and $cut flowers$ in a tent out back. Too late, I found out that the $hot cider$ that I looked forward to is powdered Alpine, and one packet goes into small or medium so it's just more watered down. In Washington, for the $price$, I would expect a decent, fresh cider.
So, perhaps this was just a bad day for me. I expected more for my entrance fee, given the free fields that surround the garden.

Skagit Valley is a renowned destination to see the tulpis in bloom during the blooming season.
It may not be as dramatic as the Holland tulip field, it is still worth a stop nonetheless.

I highly suggest going during the week, as the crowds can be great, especially on a sunny day. Drive the Tulip Loop and check out the beautiful gardens of Roozengaarde. It's just lovely!

I have visited this garden many times. Each spring it blooms to life and people come from all over to see it. It's worth the visit!

I went with 3 girlfriends for the day at the end of March. We drove down from Vancouver British Columbia to check out the tulips. Yes there is an $5 admission fee but well worth it. The daffodils were just about finished and some tulips were still not open but that didn't stop us. Let's face it you'll never be able to see everything in bloom. We arrived just as they opened and spent 3 hours walking around the fields. Yes wear boots my sandals got a bit muddy. Seeing the fields of colour was breathtaking and got some fantastic photo's. We walked around the flower displays and really enjoyed the mixture of flowers. Afterwards we stopped off at some of the outside fields. Check online to see which fields are blooming when. We had planned this a few weeks prior so weather wouldn't have stopped us...luckily we had a beautiful sunny day.
Definitely worth a look!

I took the most stunning photos of tulips. Fields of magnificent flowers. Lovely gardens. Highly recommend this spring experience.

My wife and I, along with our son who lives in Washington, toured the gardens during the local Tulip Festival. The colors were brilliant and amazing. They had large sections with rows of the same color contrasted with another section next to it. Created a brilliant landscape. Also, they had many different varieties of flowers interspersed around the landscape.

Although Roozengaarde is open throughout the year, be sure to go there during the tulips festival in the spring. They do a great job of displaying and offering for sale bulbs, arts, etc,

I visited this area and the Garden and shop at off season. There was still lovely foliage and gardens to be enjoyed. A brief rest stop to dream about next year's garden planning. The gift shop was lovely, staff helpful. Living in Alaska, I plan to order tulips that are hardy enough for our region.

We arrived on the last day of the tulip festival on a Monday. There were many employees to handle parking or traffic and walkway directions. My complaint was that the company had sprayed the plants or grounds and we had to walk away from the sprayed area and go the long way around. I walked a mile and a half that day. I had just had foot surgery and was not happy about walking the extra distance, but glad we were not breathing in spray. There was food and snacks for sale as well as a souvenir shop. The restrooms were very clean portables. We were there on a dry day. Rainy days would be very muddy.
The tulip fields were not as extensive as I thought, but the colors were amazing and very varied. The entrance fee is less on weekdays. There is no discount for seniors, but after asking there was a discount for veterans.

Good day trip from Seattle! Plenty of photo opportunities. Buy food from town if you want to avoid the pricey options here.
Only toilets are 'honey bucket' portable ones.
If you are going right after a rainy day, expect muddy fields, so wear boots etc.
Make sure you go very early (plan to reach 9 am),else the traffic can be really bad getting in and out.

This spectacular garden of tulip varieties and a few daffodils was stunning. Tulips larger than the palm of your hand, fringed tulips and colors ranging from wine to glowing red and yellows in mass planting making for beautiful, pictures.

A much bigger garden than the Tulip Town. More arrangements and more tulips and there are other flowers as well. Enjoyed it very much, if you are a landscape photographer, this is an awesome place to visit and we were lucky to have a very nice weather and the peak of the blooming season. A little bit crowded but you can't blame it on anybody, everybody wants to see all those beautiful blooms and myriad of colours! $5 entrance fee is all worth it!

If you get there early, before the crowds form, spend time in the gardens before heading for the fields. Incredible displays - we have a new appreciation for tulips!!!

Next to Amsterdam, the Skagit has one of the best displays of tulips in the world. There are fields of color during the spring which are quite gorgeous. This garden center has their own huge display and is a destination for visitors to the valley.

We thought we'd be safe booking flights for family to come from out of town for the festival during the third week of April. Thank heavens Roozengaarde saved our faces with pretty much the only tulips left in town after an early season. Gorgeous!

Beautiful display of tulips and daffodils for 2022. Rows and rows of very colorful flowers. Great photo ops on a sunny day. 45 acres which you can walk. They also have ice cream and fudge for sale. For this year, this is the best place to take pictures of tulips in April.

We were in the area for an event and ended up being just in time to see the tulips. It was beautiful here. We skipped tulip town because there were too many people there. Roozengaarde was very nice. I'd suggest going there at opening to avoid the huge crowds.

We must have been there when everybody else decided to go, as it was sunny day. A feast for the eyes as you wander around the manicured display garden, enjoying the many different colors, textures, and sizes of tulips: some are the size of pancakes, and some are fuzzy, rounded, pointed, full and even the plain red tulip is outstanding. So much artistry went into designing this garden. And everybody had a smile and respected those taking photos. The fields were a big surprise, because you cannot see all of them from where you enter - they go all the way to McLean Road. Folks were enjoying themselves, even though they did not respect the signs posted everywhere to please stay out of the rows. The food vendor area was very well organized.

One of Skagit Counties must see locations. In tulip season early spring it is without question the number one place to go. All flowers planted are identified and coded to a catalogue.
Display areas are thoughtfully designed and flowers are presented in mass. Many people have their pictures taken in front of the old Dutch windmill. And I wouldn't be surprised if people get married here as well

To say that the Roozengaarde tulip display is stunning is an understatement. The flowers blooming outside the entry stopped us for a long look (and many photos) before we entered the grounds which are staggering in their beauty. After spending the better part of a day enjoying the garden we decided to return for a second visit the next day. With fee parking and a $7 adult admission fee this has to be on the the best bargains.

The biggest recommendation I can give for this place is to go early. Mid day is too hectic with parking and it's tough to get any photos without other people in them. They have a lovely variety of tulips so very much worth a stop.

Being one of the only nice days that we could go, we totally took advantage of the sunshine and snapped a whole bunch of pics and enjoyed the Tulips with everyone.

There are many beautiful display Gardens. The passes are all made of great big shark gravel. Not very good for wheelchairs or walkers which made it difficult for my grandma and mom. Very clean, nicely laid out. There is a field you can go stand in if you are up to a walk. Admission when I went with seven dollars a person. And no discounts for anyone.

We were so lucky to catch the gardens here at their peak of bloom in the first week of April. It was the weekend of the tulip festival, and traffic was heavy, even though we got there early in the morning. The operators know what they are doing, though--the parking lot is extremely well organized, and they get the cars in there and parked very efficiently. The gardens are free most of the year, but during the blooming season, there is a charge, which includes parking. Separate lines for cash and credit at the gate; bring some cash (admission is only $5 per person), and you'll get in much faster. The gardens are simply beautiful. So many colors, so many different types of tulips; the colors are glorious. When we were there, it seemed like every single bloom was perfect. The display gardens are gorgeous; the growing fields beyond are overwhelming in their massing of color as far as the eye can see. Be prepared for muddy ground and slippery surfaces; we saw someone who had taken a tumble into a drainage channel, and ended up muddy from head to toe. There's a gift shop tent where you can order bulbs, buy cut blooms (inexpensive! Only $5 for a bunch of perfect tulips), or pick up some cute flower-themed home decor items, clothing, or stationery. The refreshment booth has popcorn, caramel corn, drinks, and such. When we left, cars were backed up for miles waiting to get to the gardens. Go early!

One of the BEST places where one can feast eyes looking at blossomed TULIPS in various colors.Well organised and beautiful garden. Its most scenic with Mount baker at the back ground.Best time is on a SUNNY DAY when we can move around the place easily when roads are not muddy.we can walk comfortably and enjoy, especially if one is visiting with kids.

Had a quick stop off to the tulip fields on our drive and it was great. Nice walk around and some great colours. Price was also reasonable at $5 pp.

I ordered two, 10-bulb packs of tulip bulbs. When they arrived last fall, I sent an email and pics of several of the bulbs that looked discolored/dis-formed, but got no response back. I spent time planting the bulbs per instructions and as I have other bulbs over the years, but this spring, only 1 of the pink bulbs and about 4 of the purple opened. Many bulbs just sent up leaves; on a few others, the stems contorted and they never grew upwards. Again I took photos, which I emailed on 4/5 with my complaint and sent also on 4/16. No response back. I called 5/6 and they finally agreed to refund my money, but I asked for the owner to call + emailed him, saying that there should be some restitution for the 1) time spent trying to contact them 2) effort and time planting the bulbs 3) lack of flowers in the yard. Not surprisingly, there was no response again. I would highly recommend people buy bulbs elsewhere!

Tulips in bloom - in the late Spring, April and May - in the Skagit Valley are one of the great floral vistas in the US and Roozengaarde is one of the best places to see 'em. Field after field (in season!) of vibrant, intense color. Minor downside (for me as a resident) you can't just park somewhere in this rural area, you have to pay to park, but once you're parked, you can stay as long as you like. Bring your family, or SO or just go - and bring your best camera!

My Wife, Son and I did a spring break road trip. Roozengaarde was along the way so we stopped by to see the Tulips. So many bright colors and wonderful displays. Only thing I wasn't too impressed with was the prices for everything felt like visiting a theme park. Everything was way over-priced.

Was a rainy day but with an unbrella and rubber boots the area is able to be walked. The paths do get slick so you have to watch it. The fields are large and just some of them had tulips in bloom. They have an excellent garden right at the front of the property with many bloooms out. Nice gift shop. Parking is right across the street and the cost is free with the $7 entry fee.

It’s truly magical. Tulips and daffodils as far as you can see. Totally worth seeing. Make sure to visit in April when they are in full bloom. It can be a little dusty walking on the paths, so I would recommend sneakers.

What a treat to go to the tulip fields on a group trip this year. We were able to pull our van right up to the entrance to be dropped off, and were given priority entry so did not have to stand in line. It was fun to wander around the fields and also take in the gift shops, where you could purchase tulips by the bunch. We went in the middle if April and only about half the tulips were open, but the fields were beautiful and it wasn't too crowded with visitors.

This was my third trip to Roozengaarde in the last 7 years. And I travel from California to see the enchanting Tulips in Mt. Vernon. The breathtaking fields and gorgeous display gardens are worth the trip. Love them!

Found this beautiful place while staying at Everett. We want to find something to do and Trip Advisor recommend this place along with other places to visit. Even though most of the flowers are gone, the place is still beautiful. I can only imagine when flowers are in bloom. Will come visit this place again for sure if I find myself up north again.

The RoozenGaarde Garden is probably THE destination place for tourists to see the rows of blooming tulips. It has a very nicely kept up display area, a gift shop, the means to order your own bulbs to plant, and of course the big fields of gorgeous tulips (and daffs) that you came to see. Be prepared to walk a lot and you should bring boots to do it, as the fields are very muddy.

They have the most beautiful gardens you ever want to see. They also sell bulbs so you can share the beauty

We visited with our two children toward the end of the season. Most locals know the rules (don't let your kids pick the tulips and don't walk down the rows of tulips in the fields). There really is not a bad photo at Roozengarde. They've done a lovely job of planting the tulips!

Tulip season is magnificent although the gift shop is open year-round and has lovely home decor and gift items. You can also order fresh tulips and bulbs from their website.

We caught the very end of their tulip season, our visit was free since most of their tulips had already bloomed and were off the stems.
However what tulips were left were more than enough to get some very nice pictures and post cards in their gift shop gave us an idea of how impressive a full bloom would be at this tulip garden.
I would strongly advise calling first to make sure the tulips are still in bloom before visiting. Their employees are very friendly and give good information over the phone and in person. A worthwhile visit.

On the weekend of April 22nd we stepped into a display of bulbs that was glorious. The weather split and gave us a full day of sun to enjoy the tulips. I was very impressed with the crowd control and parking for this location. The entire experience was calm and easy. The gardens were amazing, beautiful, and perfumed with the scent of spring. Thank you to the Roozen family, we can't wait to receive our bulbs, next spring we will enjoy your care and love again.

We chose this farm for our first view of the tulips. Why bother going to Amsterdam when you an enjoy tulip festivals in the USA. Beautiful displays - millions of planted bulbs.. I can't wait to order up my selection for planting this year.

What a stunning display. The gift shop is really heaven on a stick! So many beautiful things to buy! Some excellent spots to have beautiful pictures taken to remember your visit by.

Came while a good friend was in town. It's great to walk around and visit. Pictures are worth coming to. Everyone was nice.

How could you describe it's beauty. The color are so vibrant and alive seeing a sea of of tulips in different colors. It was amazing. Need to see it to experience how beautiful is God's creation.

To miss the long lines arrive in the free parking area at least 15 minutes prior to them opening. Allows you to get the closest parking & make it in for pictures before the gardens are swamped. Make sure you don’t have fresh flowers are home because you can get 50 tulips for $20 - buy 4 bunches get the 5th free!
Tip: Wear rain boots, you can easily get stuck in some muddy sections!

This is a place everyone should visit. The fields of flowers are gorgeous. The display beds have a great variety of type and color. Make this part of your Skagit valley tulip tour.

Excellent place! Very beautiful, well taken care of plants! You will see something throughout the month of April although is raining almost everyday there!

Every year this place is hopping during Daffodil and tulip times open all year round get bulbs or fresh cut flowers. Order all types of flower bulbs. and little flower related gifts

Well organized for the crowds they get. Go early in the morning to avoid them. Meticulous care given to their display gardens - creative and inspiring. Well managed and not to be missed in the Spring.

I realize we visited before the tulips opened. YET, they charged full price to walk around looking a buds. I can understand the $7.00 during peak, but not if nothing is blooming.
Also, we purchased tulips in a pot, only to learn after we made the purchase they were not for transplanting. This should have been on a sign at the display. Of course, this might cut down on their sales.
I found the staff uninformed and not helpful. They seemed annoyed we interrupted them.
This might be a pleasant day in season, but this was very disappointed and over priced.

Spectacular fields of tulips in vast array of colors! A sight to behold! A will stay in your memorylso the display garden of plants and the beautiful windmill will be a treasured memory. We live here and tulip festival is usually
April.

Towards the end of the blooming but beautiful none the less. Has food, drinks, espresso, and gifts. An amazing variety of unexpected shapes, colors, and sizes of flowers.

Many many many people. But the flowers were gorgeous and the flow of people was very lovely. Not too packed. It has space for large and small groups of people . The garden shops were marvelous. Got a lovely tulips plant with four bulbs. For under $10 to take home with me.🌹🌹🌹🌹🌷🌷🌷

You come here for one reason and during this particular time of year. Although this is the last weekend, it was quite apparent why. What roozengaarde did have on display were quite beautiful tulip specimens. The $5 entry fee is small if you enjoy flowers and are ok with the walk. There were 3 fields open, all of which were tulips, in either vibrant red, soft purple, or striking white. 3/4 mi of field walking, level 3 difficulty due to some puddles and ruts.

I visited on 16h April, Sunday. After a rainy week, weekend was shiny and so was this beautiful farm and display garden.
A very Memorable day of my life!!
This garden has display area with different varieties and colors of tulips and daffodils . They have very big farms near the display area, where you can see "rainbows" of tulips.
With snow clad mountains in background, this colorful garden is paradise on earth..
They have a makeshift snack center and washroom facilities on site.
You can buy bulbs and saplings in a shop located on the garden.
Few tips :
1) reach early : before 9.30 am to avoid crowd. Other wise you will get heavy traffic after you leave I5.
2) If you can't make early, dont try to reach their main entrance/or parking. Directly go to the overflow parking area off Maclean Rd.
3) the snacks items in site are limited but good quality. slightly pricey.. but dont waste time in traffic and going outside in town for food. That can take good amount of time. else pack your own food.
4) Go on sunny day, Otherwise it is difficult to access farm because of slippery conditions. You will get to see only the display garden.
5) as instructed by them, dont go into farm to take photos/selfie. I saw few people doing it. However, everybody starts misbehaving like that, you can imagine the situation.
6) If you are travelling from any other state , book flight tickets in advance and also get a overall idea about the weather. its tricky. Last year tulips blossomed early and by end of 3rd week, everything was over. This year, bloom started in end of second week.. & hopefully it will be there till month end..

Very pretty garden in March. I have wanted to go in April to see the tulips but never worked out. It is a little muddy so be prepared. But the view is worth it now and I’m sure it is fantastic in April.

The Roozengaarde Display Garden is stunning. Check with them on the best days to be there and plan on spending a couple hours and for sure bring your camera. You will be amazed with the colors and the extensively manicured gardens. It's a sublime experience and we go each spring and never tire of a garden done so very well.

we were there on the last day...early blooms this year. That said, it was still spectacular...and we especially enjoyed the fact that since it was a Monday and rainy and most people thought it would be too late, it was not really crowded so we were able to get some great shots sans tourists in the Garden!

Wow, a sight to behold especially when fields are in bloom. The gardens were magnificent, price was reasonable, and crowds were well managed.
Great place to visit and get some exercise.

It's a must visit place in the USA during the tulip festival that happens in late March to late April. It's gorgeous and stunning beyond words. The display garden becomes a color palette with multiple colored tulips. There all you can see is vibrant tulips in all direction! We were lucky to get a beautiful sunny day and dry weather in the beginning of April, else you might need to carry rain-boots because the fields get extremely muddy in case of rainy days. We spent a whole day there, took numerous snaps to our utmost satisfaction. They even have a beautiful windmill near the entrance. There was a stall where you can buy tulip bulbs and other decoration stuffs. Some food stalls were also there. And entry fee is $5 only for such a magnificent show! Overall we loved the experience and we wish to go back again.

Not just fields of tulips. Beds of different designs, colours and varieties. Green lawns, snow capped mountains in background. A beautiful experience for only $ 5.

Visited this garden when the sun was out! Parking is very well organized. Friendly staff. Everything was muddy - but they try to keep it a pleasant experience. The display garden was surprisingly open and saw some new flowers there. Fun to watch the artists painting. Walked around the fields - glad we had our boots on. There was a drone hovering above the tulip fields even though they are not allowed.

Incredible gardens and fields. Excellent organization. Parking was good and lines short. I am sure a different story on a weekend. $5 entrance fee. I've been to Keukenhof in the Netherlands and frankly I thought this was better!

This is always a breathtaking visit for us. We have come four times and love to walk in the display garden. You can tell by looking that much love and planning goes into getting the flowers to come up by color and by design (like waves of blue hyacinths). Everywhere you turn is color and variety. The fields are also gorgeous and the gift shop has lots of cute things for yourself or for gifts to take home. Not many people know to look up while walking in the display garden to see the two or three tulips that have been tucked into little notches in the tree limbs above your head, but it something nice to look for on your visit there.

Very expensive for a family to enter, $89.00. When we go to Sequim Lavendar Festival there is no fee to enter the farms. This is ridiculous.

Lovely place to hit up for the Tulip festival. All your photo and Instagram needs met in one place at a decent price of $7 on weekdays, $10 on weekends. Biggest drawback is how busy it gets.

The flower displays are gorgeous, and it was on my bucket list to see the tulip fields. It was rainy, windy and cold, but I didn’t care, still beautiful and they can control the weather. It cost $10 per person to get in, even for kids over 5. The food was over priced, I get it, this is their money maker, it was just sad that it was $3.50 for hot chocolate or $4.00 for cider. Glad we went, but it will be the only time probably.

I always enjoy the tulip fields when the time is ripe for the colorful display at Roozengaarde. I try to go late in the day to catch the sunset and less crowds. The last 2 years the display has been earlier than usually by a couple of weeks. The crowds can be crazy so be prepared. My husbands always gives me a hard time about taking pictures over and over each year! However the thrill of the scenery never dulls and the weather and clouds or lack of is never the same. Go and see for yourself!

We all enjoyed the amazing variety of tulips on display. Very nicely done.
Extra kudos to the kind staffers who made entry and exit easy with a wheelchair.

We took visiting Friends to look at the tulips in the Skagit Valley and stopped at the Roozengaarde tulip farm display. We had a great time and saw many wonderful displays. Parking was free and plentiful that was a plus. We visited on Friday at 11:00 o’clock and made it in before traffic really picked up. Traffic is the only real negative concern as it can be VERY jammed at times on many of the side roads.
Overall a good experience and a recommendation for taking friends and family.

They open at 9am and you should be there if you hope to have any photos without many other tulip lovers. Plenty of parking early and beautiful displays made for a colorful morning. They do not let you walk in the rows (even 1') to get pictures "in" the tulips but do have a few alcoves to stand in. They are missing the mark by not setting up a tall perch with a professional photographer and having an area in the center of the flowers for families to stand for an "above" family photo. They could make $$$, in my opinion.

A must see. Absolutely gorgeous everywhere you look. Was on my bucket list and did not disappoint. I didn’t realize tulips came in so many sizes, shapes, and colors.

Roozengarde always outdoes itself in beautiful tulip gardens. It is a joy to sit among the flowers and soak the beauty all in. The fields are lush with color. We always look forward to a trip.

we were on a bus tour. it was a very windy and cool day, but we still enjoyed our visit. there is just something about flowers that calm's the mind , stills the world . brings out the best. this is nice. good parking. lots of portapotties. and a nice gift shop. food is available. its not a huge garden so it does not take all day or all your energy to see the flowers. it was not crowded , as we were near the tail end of the flowering season. I enjoyed our visit very much. check it out. and not expensive $ 10. or less.

Traveling between Seattle and Vancouver, stopped at the Burlington visitors center and found out about the tulips. A few turns, a few miles and suddenly millions of tulips. We stopped in and took in the sights. Not large, nice gardens.

Come Spring and this garden is blooming with a variety of tulips! The display garden has many different varieties of tulips. The color combinations are done with a lot of thought and they all look awesome!!! Apart from the display garden, there are big tulip/daffodil fields where you can stroll around and have some memorable pictures. Three tips that I would like to share: 1) Please go on a weekday if you want to beat the traffic/crowd. 2) Check the bloom map before going, it is posted on their website. 3) There are very limited food options available inside the garden, so make sure you have heavy breakfast before coming.

It was a beautiful day when my husband and I visited here. The tulips were beautiful and so many varieties. We plan to order some bulbs to plant at our home.

It is a nice garden and tulip fields to visit. Usually crowded and arrive early for quick parking. 2 to 3 hours is sufficient to cover this place. If you have been to Keukenhof Gardens in Netherlands then this place can be skipped.

This is a magical place to visit during the Tulip Festival. Be sure to be ready to take pictures. You will get some awesome shots. Come early for come during the week because it gets crazy during the weekends of Tulip Festival.

Despite typical WA spring weather - sun, clouds, rain, sun, rain, hail, sun - we had a fabulous time walking the grounds of this tulip haven. Parking was free and plentiful, the staff were efficient and friendly, and the tulips were beyond belief. The entrance fee was appropriate for what you saw (more on weekends). I sent some photos to friends who asked if I were in Holland. Only complaint: despite multiple clever signs ("Don't stand in this garden unless you are a tulip"), people charged into the fields to take pictures. They sent their kids into the fields (despite the signs) and they just basically ignored the plentiful warnings. Don't know how to fix this; it's not the site's fault.

While driving around Skagit County looking at the brilliant fields of tulips, a stop you must make is Roozengaarde's Display gardens. Having gone year after year and I am still amazed at the variety of the flowers and the wonderful way they are laid out. Never the same even from week to week. In addition there are shops, food and opportunities to buy fresh flowers or order bulbs for your own garden.

A truly beautiful display garden. Visitors are allowed to get right into the growing fields of colorful tulips. We took some incredible photos. Although busy we were able to experience the massive and breathtaking growing fields and colorful gardens. Really worth our trip.

Roozengarde is ridiculously beautiful and well maintained. Best place to get the tulip experience. They have an amazingly creatively landscaped display garden, a gift shop, and fields or flowers!

The display gardens are spectacular and a very fun and easy walk. I took my granddaughter and daughter and we enjoyed the colorful displays as well as the beautiful blooming fields....they really are special!!

Beautiful artistic tulip displays. Gardens by rustic fences and huge Windmill. So many
varieties of tulips it boggles the mind. A lovely place to take pictures. The people are
friendly and helpful and the various tulips are well identified.

This is by far one of my favorite places to see the tulips. Absolutely stunning. No words can describe, a MUST see for yourself kind of place. 💚💚💚💚💚

Beautiful fields full of flowers, as well as gorgeous display gardens! Snack bar and small gift shop. We wen tr on a weekday, so it wasn't crowded, however the greenhouse where plants could be purchased was closed. They do have a catalog that you can take with you to order from.

This is always a beautiful trip when the tulips are on bloom and we go every year. This trip is best made on a week day as the crowds are horrendous on the weekends. It's so fun to see all the different colors in rows stretching for miles.

We bring our girls here for pictures at least every other Spring. The colors and the amazing displays of all of the flowers is breath taking. There will probably be a crowd but at least you won't get your car stuck in the mud trying to walk into the fields by the road. We simply love it for the photo album!

This is an outrageous display of color, with numerous planted gardens around the property. Really stunning. The actual fields are also worth the walk, but bring mud boots for that adventure.

Our family who live in the area south of here have told us about the tulip festival as we've driven in the area, but we've never been here at the right time. Well on this visit we were. We didn't have time to drive the tulip route, but what we saw here was beyond my expectations. Luckily we were here on a cool, but partly sunny day since I hear it can very crowded. It costs $7 to visit the gardens, but when you see the displays of tulips you'll not regret the cost. Just beautiful beds of every color and type of tulip and daffodils. You can have a lunch here, buy bunches of tulips, walk through planned gardens and fields of tulips, and visit their lovely gift shop. I took a catalog and will be ordering bulbs for my fall planting. The colors here will just amaze and enchant you. If the weather isn't dry, I'd suggest boots for the walking. If you can't get to Holland to see the tulips, just visit here.

Roozengaarde is THE place to come if you want to see vibrant splashes of multi-colored tulips beautifully manicured into artistic displays. The tremendous amount of rain the area has had this spring has made the whole valley a soggy mess —- including the fields at Roozengaarde! They have done the best they could to make visitor visits pleasant (placing lots of sawdust around to try to soak up some of the water). I saw many ruined shoes on people who ventured into the fields and some of the puddles on the grassy parts in the display areas were challenging, too. Free parking and only a $7 entrance fee are totally worth it. The Fidalgo Fudge company was selling fudge in the food area. Outstanding!

We recently visited Roozengaarde. Even though it is off season for tulips, the visit was very pleasant. The grounds are beautiful. There is an excellent gift shop with unique items--both local and unique.
The area is known for the annual tulip festival in April. It must be magnificent.

Come in the Spring. Roozengaarde will blow your mind. The Skagit valley is magnificent with color. If you're lucky, the Snow Geese and swans will be in(thousands of birds). Don't give up looking for the birds, we've looked for hours only to find them on a back road. Bring layers! The valley can be capricious and the wind will chill you to your bones.

Second year to visit. This year was really muddy, glad I wore my galoshes. Beautiful designs with the flowers and they have fields of tulips you can walk around.
7.00 entry fee, free parking. Handicapped parking available.
Hot dogs and hamburgers are available to purchase. Fudge and kettle corn are yummy.
Mostly outdoor seating, limited tables.
Great gift shop and you can buy cut tulips or potted.
Portable bathroom.
No pets.
This is a great place to visit and celebrate spring. They are full bloom this week -April 28
Get there early to avoid traffic.

Visited RoozenGaarde this past weekend and having visited the Tulips of the Valley and BLOOM Tulip Festival in Abbotsford and Chilliwack, BC in past years. I was impressed with the level of organization and thought given to guest comfort and safety. Blooms weren’t quite at their fullest yet owing to this year’s rainy, cool spring, but there were still loads of tulips, hyacinths and daffodils to enjoy, sniff and photograph. Bring your waterproof boots and umbrella and be prepared for mud, and you’ll be fine to enjoy this magnificent attraction!

This is a great place to go with kids for a picnic! Brightly colored Tulips all around you and plenty of space for the kids to run around. Friendly park workers and you could always get some snacks at their stall. It could get a little crowded but that seemed unavoidable!

Enjoyed walking through the garden and the flower fields. Be sure to wear your boots, things are a little muddy.

At $7 per person it seems a bit expensive early in the season because only a small portion of the tulips are blooming in early April. I would think the admission price would be discounted somewhat until the flowers were in full bloom.

We loved this garden for the tulip festival!!! Huge area with tons of blooms and we were always very spread out from other people. Not too busy on Saturday before Easter and we got tons of amazing photos. The mountain backdrops were stunning. Wear boots - it’s muddy!

Excellent outing for everyone in the family. Extra showy plants, eats available and a small gift shop. Very good value for the admission price. Offers a Military discount.

We went to Mt.Vernon for the tulip festival in April. We decided to spend a night and go to the filed in early morning to avoid people. The tulip field was beautiful. My parents love it.
After the tulip festival, we went to a cute small town called La conner for a seafood lunch.

Went to the area from out of state to see the tulip festival but they had a warm spring so the fields were already plowed. Also, other tulip gardens closed early for the season. Got to hand it to these guys for staying open longer than the others or the visit would have had no flowers at all.

We were so fortunate in the timing of our visit here at the end of March, since the blooms were early this year. Loved the display gardens and the fields both. We had perfect spring weather, too, and took a lot of pictures!

We exited I-5 at Conway turnoff and had no traffic on the backroads to the fields. We were also treated to a view of the snow geese in the distant valley. There was plenty of parking and just a short line. The gardens were well designed and perfectly groomed with gorgeous tulips. The shop also had many nice items with the tulip theme. Inspiring and uplifting!

My husband and i woke up early on Sunday and decided to go see the tulips before they were gone for the year. So glad we did. We got there before the gardens opened (at 9 AM) and took a walk up in the valley after we parked in the lot. We got back from our walk just after 9 and walked in the garden. There is a $5.00 charge for entering. The flowers are amazing! They are absolutely gorgeous. I enjoyed walking the grounds. I really love tulips, they are my favorite flower. We went on the 17th of April. I see that another reviewer is upset because of dead flowers on the 18th well the gardens were fine on the 17th, most of the fields were cut but the gardens are well worth the money. We had a most enjoyable morning and while i live extremely close to the gardens we had never been. I am going to try and go again next year as i totally loved the beautiful flowers and amazing colors and types. They do have food there but I can't see paying $10.00 for a hamburger. They also have a gift shop although i did not buy anything. I did have beautiful flowers but for some reason i cannot post them on tripadvisor right now.

I would strongly recommend this garden if you can only select one garden for your tulip trip in Skagit valley. We visit it almost yearly and its display garden is always well maintained and the best in the area in my opinion. The display garden is not too big so that it is good for all age groups. The flowers are densely planted and they are synced in bloom. Regarding to the flower fields, personally I like the ones in Tulip Town where the colors are better, yet I still recommend those in Roozengaarde because they are also well maintained. When considered the admission ticket price and what you can see, Roozengaarde is on top of all others in this area.
Here are the tricks to avoid heavy traffics at the weekend of April: be there early than 9am in the weekend and select other local routes other than Google or GPS gives you.

We visited the Skagit Tulip festival, WA in April this year. Its was spectacular with rows of tulips of all colors. Its a beautiful sight and a treat for the eyes. With the mountains in the background, its picture perfect.
Tip: Leave early to beat the traffic. The freeway leading to the festival gets very busy as the day advances. Also, check/call with the authorities at the garden before you plan since blooming period depends on the weather. They may start blooming early March or late in April.

We went to the tulpi festival and was absolutely gorgeous. Went to Roosengaarde and the dislplay was very pretty. So many different tulips you cant imagine.

We were a couple of weeks early to see the tulips. The daffodils were blooming and we could see the design of the gardens but could only imagine them in full bloom. Lots of parking and outdoor lavatories.

Much has been written in the various reviews below and I need not duplicate why this is a 'must visit' esp if you are a visitor from the tropics.
As with cherry blossoms (as in Tidal Basin, DC )the 'once a year blooms' is of short duration (2 weeks?). So make sure you are here at the right time of year ie spring and in 1st 2 weeks of April to catch the prettiest seas of tulips !

This place is amazing! The colors are unbelievably beautiful...feels like you're in heaven. They have everything you would want here.

Beautiful park like atmosphere that includes fields of flowers and manicured display beds. Also has a large gift shop and flower counter. This is located along the daffodil route just outside of Mount Vernon Washington. Best times are March to early April.

Getting in and out was/is a problem. It took nearly an hour and a half to get in and about the same to get out. If you go you have to get there early as there will be traffic from the I5 northbound, through the city and outside and into the parking area.
Once you get there it is beautiful! The only complaint that I have is the people not heeding the signs that say "do not go into the lanes". It says it very clearly and there are some sections where the people who went into the lanes have trampled the precious flowers. This also disrupts photo opportunities where there are people on the background of your perfect pic.....
I wish I'd want to go back, but for me, the traffic jam is ridiculous. The city should be doing a better job than what I experienced.

So nice to not have the crowds. It was rainy and windy but still had a wonderful time. So glad my Seattle tour included this stop. Gift shop is beautiful.

After visiting other farms, I'd have to say this is superlative and hands above all others! Seeing millions of bulbs together was amazing, not only planted in 22-24 acre fields but also landscaped into manicured gardens with mixtures of color and texture that is so incredibly pleasing. I felt as I were in heaven in earth. The real windmill, gift shop, tent for purchases of bulbs, flowers and garden supplies were top notch. Food tents are available for those who desire a meal on site. A most worthwhile drive to get there from the peninsula and a very special day. I'll look forward to going again this year before April 30 and certainly again next year. Life in the Skagit Valley and Mt, Vernon is beautiful! It must be the best tulip and daffodil fields this side of Holland!

Just finished with a couple of days photographing the tulip fields. I was lucky enough to see the fields in the Netherlands many years ago, but I have not been able to make it back for tulip season, so I thought I would check out this festival in Mt Vernon. Even though we were late in the blooming cycle, the fields did not disappoint! They will literally be topping the blooms tomorrow, which amazes me because the blooms were still in excellent shape. This can only be described as fields of gorgeous vibrant colors. If you miss the fields, it's still worth going for the exhibition gardens which are also still gorgeous. We went during the week, and it was nice and quiet. I wouldn't attempt the weekend unless absolutely necessary. We missed the daffodils as they are earlier bloomers. There is an entry fee of 5.00 per person and parking is free. I am already looking forward to returning next year!

The best time to go there is early in the morning. They open at 9 am, so you can get a parking close to the entrance gate and there aren't too many people around and your pictures will be lovely.

The title says it all. A great deal at $5.
Plan on waiting in long traffic lines to get there. Took us 45 minutes and we were only a normal 10 minutes away. But absolutely worth it. Bring your camera.

The Roozengaarde Display Garden is everything you would expect and more. Beauty, peach, quiet, colors, easy parking, delightful.

We visited Roozengaarde in March 2016 (the tulips came early before the Tulip Festival), and it was a great experience. We brought the kids and they could run around the display gardens in the lawn sections. There was a concession stand with snacks and coffee, and some art and bulbs for sale. You could also walk out into the fields (on designated paths only) to see the vast fields of color. Bring your rainboots for the field though! It was muddy!

To expensive they seem to cater to charging more and more giving less and less. Better places to visit during the Tulip Festival.

I visit Roozengaarde about twice a year for daffodils and then tulips, they're just gorgeous! The view you get is all in the timing of the season, how open or closed the bulbs are. If youre going at a time other than the Tulip Festival itself, be sure to check the bloom map on their website first so you aren't disappointed! Also, when the fields are in full bloom, you'd do well to go first thing or last thing in the day to avoid the THRONGS of tourists, many who even travel south from Canada, and also the parking and traffic issues detailed in other reviews. I recommend bringing your mud boots or shoes you don't mind getting a bit muddy, because some of the fields you can go between rows for photos. However, the show gardens are perfectly lovely and you won't get muddy at all. Little tip if you're bringing the kids, maybe keep an extra eye on them so they aren't ripping out the blooms like my mischevous 3yr old nephew! (although it's the bulbs that the planters care about more than the bloom). There's a cute shop with BULBS GALORE and other home decor or gift items on site, and a larger indoor tent setup during the festival itself.

Fellow travelers,
As always I will focus on practical tips in my review rather than typical tourist information. We recently visited Roozengaarde and Tulip town both. I would like to share the differences in two and some practical tips:
1. Roozengaarde is having much larger fields of Tulips than Tulip Town. While Tulip Town is also big (not as big as Roozengaarde) but it has different style of Tulip display. Roozengaarde goes for larger fields with same color of Tulips while Tulip Town has basically smaller rows of Tulips with different colors (looks like Rainbow). To be honest it is hard to pick one, if you have time do both :-)
2. Tulip town has more family friendly things (e.g. they have section for face painting, few shops, ice cream parlor etc.) Roozengaarde has lesser of those things
3. Roozengaarde - accepts the cards while Tulip town is all about cash (they do have ATM though)
4. Definitely avoid weekends for Tulips, it will be crazy on crown. Weekdays will much more fun with lesser crowd. If you reach by say 9.30 AM then you cover either of two in morning, have lunch and then cover the second. If you are going on weekend then rather I would suggest reaching there by 2.30 PM types and you should be ok as people start leaving by then. You can cover only one place then. Else you will have to reach there really early (8.30 AM ) to get proper parking place and avoid traffic

If you are in the area of Mt. Vernon to La Connor, stop by and see the flowers. They are beautiful. Rows and rows of vibrate colors.

The display garden was lovely, but as the weather hasn't been good this year the tulip fields themselves were pretty sparse.

Beautiful gardens- well organized- food available. Drove up here to visit from Bellevue area. Arrived early and explored farm. It wasn’t until we were leaving that we discovered the gardens in the front area that is shrouded by bushes. The weather was perfect! There were many people arriving while we were there. There was a small barn where they were cooking food for purchase. Definitely worth the trip!!

Was there for the 33rd anniversary of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. I thought I had died and gone to heaven their gardens were so beautiful. We were there mid-April and the tulip fields were finished as it was an early spring...you can't plan weather. They had outdoor restrooms, gift stores, and food to purchase. It was a delightful stop.

$7.00 to look at flowers. Somehow I thought there would be more to this. I was disappointed. Definitely for the tourists. We were there mid April and other than a few displays near the front there really wasn't much to see.

The gardens are beautiful but traffic was horrible and it took 30 minutes to go a 1/2 mile. They provide adequate parking but it takes so long to get to the area because of traffic from visitors going to and from the garden that people parked along the roads adding to the congestion.

Beautiful area with so much color.
Fantastic gift shop.
Great for taking pictures and plenty of staff around to guide you.

The fields are so so beautiful. The feel of the property is that of Holland. The owners have taken a great pride in the fields but always check before you go because the tulips come and go quickly. When we went they were not in full bloom so we had a very limited amount to see and it costs the same no matter what.

This place is a must see especially for friends or family visiting from other states or countries, it is open for the whole month of April beginning the first Sunday. I have been going every year since 2006, just can’t get over the beauty of the carpet of Tulip colors. Entrance fee is between $5-$6, they have snack stands and refreshments, or purchase bulbs or freshly cut bunch of Tulips not included in the fee, their gift shop has Tulip souvenirs and cute little tokens you can buy to bring back home. Definitely will keep coming back.

Feeling be awake in Heaven ... it is so beautiful and the spread of Tulips as far as the eyes can see.
The garden is beautifully maintained and arranged !!!

My wife and I visited here in April. So many varieties of tulips and daffodils. Gorgeous color of the fields of tulips. The gardens were kept in impeccable shape. So peaceful and beautiful. Very busy but not over crowded. The best part of the trip was learning about the history of this farm. We spent a good hour being taught about the history of the farm and how to grow tulips. The original farmer came from Holland after multiple generations of growing tulips in Holland and started growing tulips (and many children) in Washington. The son was who we were speaking with. So awesome to learn about the tulips and the American dream.

Roozengaarde garden is in Skagit Valley and it is an amazing tulip and daffodil (mainly) garden. Beautifully maintained and there are gazillion tulips there, just a wonder to be standing in the midst of them.

This is a spectacular splash of color with fantastic arrays of tulips in lovely walk through gardens. But be forewarned, the crowds can be large and the local rural roads get overwhelmed. It took us almost an hour to get through the last mile approaching the gardens until we were walking into the gate.

This was my first visit to see the tulip fields and it will definitely not be my last! Pro tips: get there early! And I mean at least 20 minutes before they open. You'll get in with a smaller group of people already lined up before you and then scatter across so much land and tulips that it'll seem like you have the place to yourself for about 45 minutes. After that it's a ZOO!! I mean almost wall to wall people and flowers. It's Mother Nature in her best and brightest. The rows on rows of tulips are mesmerizing. We brought home 3 bunches from the gift area and they lasted a couple of weeks and even survived the drive back to Seattle after spending time in a warm car while my husband and I had a leisurely tour and lunch in Bellingham.

The daffodil farms were lush yellow. It was the first time we'd ever seen such beautiful and dense daffodil farms. We for plenty of photo ops at various locations.
There are more flowers in the garden display than daffodils. There's also stalls from Fidalgo coffee and a local fudge shop.
We will definitely be going back for tulip festival in April.

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival was truly one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my life. I was visiting my cousin in Seattle and she suggested that we go check it out. I am so thankful that she did. This is something I probably never would have known about otherwise. I'm not sure why this isn't a more famous tourist attraction. I think that all nature/scenery lovers should put this on their bucket list.
I don't know how the tulips are so beautifully arranged. There are miles and miles of tulips arranged by color. It was truly an indescribable sight. The colors were so bold and beautiful. Everything was perfectly maintained. And surprisingly, the crowds were not obnoxious. We happened to go on a perfect day where the sky was blue and the sun was shining. I took some of the most beautiful pictures of my life that day.
They also have a little festival in town to celebrate the tulips blooming. There's live music, food, samples, and farmers selling their homemade jams, oils & baked goods. It was such a lovely day all around. The town is very proud of their event, as they should be!

Tulip season is short. So see it while you can! The colors are breathtaking and the variety of Tulips are so beautiful. I like the bloom report that the website offers. Wish I could have bought some to take home, but home is across the ocean. Photo's do not do the actual flowers justice. You have to see it in person. We bought cheap 12$ rubber boots from wal mart. It can get muddy if it rained prior to your visit.

Roozengaarde Display Garden is definitely worth checking out. I was lucky enough to be in the area when the tulips were at their peak! Plan on spend 2-4 hours just walking around the display areas, don't skip walking out in the fields if the weather/ground is permitting. I was also very lucky that I could go during the week when the crowds were so much smaller than on a weekend. If you don't have the luxury to go during the week at least get there as early as possible in the morning on a weekend. It is absolutely gorgeous!!!! and worth seeing.

If you have been to the great tulip gardens like Butchart or especially Keukenhof, you probably can give this a miss. The large daffodil fields are nice, but don't present the flowers in a easy to enjoy fashion. Parking is a hassle and you must contend with large groups of oblivious drivers paying more attention to the flowers than their driving. This is our second visit (last April as well), but can't say it is worth the effort, unless you are going to the area anyway.

I give it 3 stars because they only have honey buckets, not real restrooms. That being said, we enjoyed a lovely stroll around the gardens for about an hour. You can bring a blanket and have a picnic but I did not see anywhere to sit in the gardens or fields. That would be a great improvement for those of us with weak knees. I went there today April 21, and the traffic was heavy, but the tulips and daffodils are in FULL bloom!!! The fields are beautiful. It’s a perfect place to steal a few KISSES or hold hands with that special someone. They have tractor paths that you are allowed to walk on and get photos. Please tell your kids not to pick flowers. They are for sale for $5 a bunch in the stands and shop. I recommend leaving the stroller in the car. They don’t roll on tire tracks. Also, if you have a baby, bring a towel or something to prop them up with for photos. A lot of families were struggling in the mud. Today was sunny but the mud is unavoidable and part of the farm experience. Don’t wear nice shoes and Sandals. Bring rain boots or old shoes. My husband was not familiar with tulips and was expecting to smell flowers, not manure/ compost. I didn’t mind, but you might want to inform your group so they know what to expect. It was chilly 55f with a wind chill that most people did not plan for. Remember, it is an open field that may have winds blowing off of the glaciers nearby. Things I wish I brought: a blanket, a picnic, and a hair tie. Things I recommend bringing: water, muck shoes, a sweater, and a Camera! Fee $7 per person. $6 for senior and military. (Cash will get you in a LOT faster than the Credit card line).

Beautiful farm, with many, many beautiful flowers. Well organized and very friendly staff. Went with family and truly enjoyed our visit. Only 5.00 each, kids 5 and under free. Parking was free. I never knew there was so many varieties of tulip. Truly beautiful!

Absolutely gorgeous. A beautiful place to walk and watch. Picture perfect setting. Walk the tulip fields and take pictures of the name cards so you can remember which ones were your favorite. So many to choose from you will need help. I had a blue sky with almost perfect clouds as a background for the many photos I took. The colors are unbelievable. Make sure to pick up a catalog.

The "Roozengaarde" Display Garden is an amazing display of flowers year round, but is a must in April centered in the middle of hundreds of acres of tulips..

Roozengaarde is s bit smaller than Tulip City, but the displays are so uniques and breathtaking. It is more than seeing rows and rows of tulips. This season I was delighted by a Seattle Seahawks logo-and the lovely heart around one area. The windmill looks great in my photos with tulips all around it. Parking is usually accessible even at the busiest times and the gift shop has special items. You can walk around and order our tulips as you see them in full bloom. Much better than a picture. Fun place to go.

April is the month to view the beautiful tulip fields and display gardens in Skagit County! Traffic is usually terrible so allow plenty of time to arrive and depart. Roozengarde is one of the two remaining tulip farms with large fields and beautiful display gardens. Parking is ample and free, with people helping direct traffic. There is walking involved, on level ground, sometimes muddy, so wear appropriate footwear and be prepared for rain. Many photo opportunities, sights to behold, and a wonderful gift shop. Refreshments available. I think admission is $5 each.

Good value for $5. Take your camera. Your photos won't disappoint. An hour is all you really need to walk round the fields. It does get muddy so you might want to bring your boots. It was busy on the first Saturday of the festival when we went but they manage the parking and entrance queues well so you don't really notice. Don't forget to pick up 5 bunches of tulips for $20 to take home. Pair this trip with a visit to La Conner and you will have a day to remember.

I am most impressed with the varieties of tulips as well as the intensity of the color. The manner in which the displays are planted is creative and artistically attractive. Go early in the morning---and definitely not on the weekend if you'd like some space.

The gardens were well worth it! Lots of tulips to see, beautiful gardens! well worth the trip- just remember to bring your boots!

We went fairly early on a Monday morning and beat the crowds for the most part. The rain clouds were just starting to be swept away, and the partial shade made for perfect photo taking weather. My wife and I loved the variety of tulips not only in the fields, but primarily in the beautifully planned flower gardens you are met with immediately upon entry. The $7 entry fee is reasonable and parking is free. We took about an hour, just wandering among the tulips, taking photos, and enjoying the ambiance. While a bit touristy, all the guests were friendly, polite and in a pleasant mood. What can I say, flowers make people happy!

This is one of the best sites to take in the annual tulip festival . What I really like about it is that you can get a glimpse of Mt Baker peaking over the local hills . It makes for a wonderful photo . Instead of just offering fields with row upon row of tulips they also have cute little gardens close to the windmill and gift shop .
It gets very hectic at festival time , so plan to get there early in the day or in the late afternoon . Relax and enjoy all the amazing colors .

I flew thousands of miles to visit this garden. I went with my cousins that live in Bellingham WA. I will have to say this garden is well designed and lacks no color!
Well worth a trip.

Don't get me wrong, it's pretty, but it's just acres of flowers. It's a nice walk, and I'm sure it would be stimulating if I was a photographer or a florist. That said, $60 for a nice walk through the flowers is not what I'd call a must-see. I naively thought they would have activities for kids or guided tours or something else. I call it a once in a lifetime event, as I don't intend to return.

I was staying at the Bayview State Park and decided to check out the nearby area. I found this nice spot from Google map and saw so many good reviews, therefore I decided to swing by and take a look. Due to my visit already passed the peak moment of tulip blossom, so I wasn't able to see the magnificent tulip field like other reviewers. However, they still did a good job to keep the area pretty with other flowers around the shop. The lady working in the store is very friendly and encourage me to walk around the garden. Overall, it is still a good spot to take pictures and enjoy the flowers there.

Roozen gaarde is offering good tulips viewing experience and has a good parking space with guiding persons for diverting the traffic. I went on April 1st and started early to reach the place around 8.30 in the morning and avoided traffic congestion later part of the day. The toilet facilities in the parking were good. The garden has great variety of tulips and also daffodils. The ticket price is also very reasonable. Overall, very good experience.

If you do nothing else this time of year you owe it to yourself to visit this breathtaking display of multicolored tulips! The photographic opportunities are unbelievable, the variety of colors overwhelming. It costs $7 to enter and there is plenty of parking. You can buy bunches of beautiful tulips, order bulbs or take a bulb catalog as you leave. We hadn’t been back for 25 years. Our son was a toddler when last we visited, but it was as beautiful and mind blowing now as it was then.

Beautiful display gardens. It can get very crowded, so be prepared for traffic and go early in the day on a weekday if possible. If you are in the area during tulip season, don't miss this place.

Beautiful display gardens and tulip fields. Nice covered picnic area. Long lines at food kiosks. Could use more benches to sit and enjoy the gardens; it was pretty tiring for a senior on a walker.

Just to stand still and see flowers booming as far as you can see right into the horizon.
So peaceful.

Plan to arrive at the gardens just before they open at 9 a.m. You will be able to grab a parking spot near the entrance and miss the long lines that quickly develop with people trying to get in!
- Wear really good mud boots & clothes that are okay to get dirty- there are some extremely slippery patches and pockets where you leg will suddenly sink in.
- If you have kids DO NOT take a stroller, it will not make it down most of the paths. Plan to carry, have them in rain boots, or in a hiking backpack if they come with you.
- Go to the bathroom before you get there! The lines are long and they are porta-potties.
- Check the BLOOM MAP - it will tell you the fields that are blooming and those that are not. If you don't check it, don't be surprised when you pay to get in and there is not what you hoped to see.
It was peaking this week when we visited, it was ending last year at this same time. Plan ahead, follow the bloom map, and go early - you will be really sad if you don't!

We drove up on a Wednesday to visit the gardens. The tulips are late this years due to lots of rain and little sun. The gardens are spectacular! With the sprinkley weather and mid week timing, there were not the crowds I would anticipate on weekends. There is organized parking, a nominal $7/per person fee. And then you are surrounded by fantastically orchestrated tulip gardens everywhere. You can also walk out into the fields to see row after row of color swaths. You can buy reasonably priced cut flowers or order your favorite ones you saw for delivery in the Fall. Do go mid week!

Beautiful displays of every tulip possible. Very crowded on the weekends, so best to go during the week. You can buy bulbs to put in your own garden display. Absolutely beautiful!!

Absolutely fabulous. We travelled to see the tulips and the rain had stopped when we went. Everything was in bloom and the sun was shining. Went mid week and first thing in morning. No crowds and took 100's of pictures. Reminded me of the gardens in Holland. A must see event in the spring. Also saw swans feeding in the fields adjacent to the gardens. Couldn't be better.

This is a must-do for flower lovers! If you're in the Seattle area during the first 3 weeks of April, don't miss this. There are thousands upon thousands of tulips and daffodils in such a large area. They have magnificent gardens to walk through with all of the varieties named. Be prepared with your footwear for walking the fields... it's very muddy even on sunny days!

The tulips are incredible. Go: rain or shine. So many different colors and varieties. It’s open as long as the flowers bloom.

Lovely flowers and great variety to buy.
Easy walk through the show fields.
Friendly helpful staff.
Go as part of the annual festival

Well worth the 70 miles trip from Bellevue. $5 was the entry fee. Also visited the local market, best ice cream. Kids loved it.

This is one of the most popular tulip farms in Mount Vernon WA. A huge annual event that draws nearly 250,000 visitors each year in Spring. This particular tulip farm is perhaps the best place to visit and take nice pictures.

Sensory overload. A must see. Very well organized. Tip if you head south out of parking lot it's a small meandering road that leads back to main east-west road with very little traffic. The most amazing site you'll see. Plan on doing some walking.

Roozengaarde Display Garden has some very pretty tulips which you can enjoy with half of the population of Washington. If you might enjoy slogging it out in the mud with hordes of other people, this is for you.

We love Roozengaarde because there are many beautiful tulip displays within a very short walking distance form the parking area. You can walk out to the fields themselves, or enjoy the close by manicured lawns. The snacks offered are overpriced, but delicious.

If you head to the Skagit Valley Festival for the first time then this would be the best place to go. Rows of different colors and varieties of tulips abound. There are also lush gardens and lawns that you can just sit down and relax while enjoying the views.

If you are in the Skagit Valley in the spring time, Roozengaarde Display Garden is a must see! I live within a 20 minute drive of the Skagit Valley, so every spring we make multiple drives to see the beautiful tulips and daffodils in the fields. We try to stop at the display garden at least once and sometimes multiple times in the spring. Throughout the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival the display garden always has a rotating huge variety of tulips, daffodils, and other spring flowers and shrubs to view. You won't be disappointed. It is dazzling!

Well worth the visit with many displays of tulips and bulb flowers. Easy walking path and lovely retail center. You can purchase cut tulips/flowers and select bulbs.

These gardens had fields of tulips and special grouped plantings in beds also. The groupings were awesome and we visited 3 times to be able to photograph as much as possible. Absolutely breathtaking around every corner!! If you can, go mid week as the weekends start getting busy by Friday. Mid-April was a great time to go as most of the tulips were in bloom and none were really done. The daffodils were done blooming, however.

We planned a trip from Bristol, Tn to Mt Vernon to the tulip festival for April 2015. I researched it and planned the trip right in the middle of the growing season so we wouldn't miss anything, well, it was an early season and we missed it all. So we paid the $5 to go to Roozengaarde and it was the best $5 I've spent. It was the best part of our week long trip to Washington state too. The garden is just gorgeous!. It is beautifully kept and maintained and so artistic. It really is a must to add to your trip if you are anywhere near and worth the drive to go out of your way!!!

Fabulous display gardens featuring so many varieties of tulips. Amazing to visit in the Spring and can order bulbs at the same time for delivery or pick up in the Fall.

I visited this site with a small group of artists in order to produce plein air pastel paintings. It has a beautiful setting. There is ample parking. It would be a nice (and romantic!) place for a picnic.

We went on a Monday and avoided the weekend crowd, but still, there were plenty of people on this misty day. Reasonably good parking and all self-guided strolls through the fields of tulips and displays. More varieties than can be imagined. We understand that the displays and layout change annually -- true?

On a cloudy day, the tulips show their true color! Loved walking through the field and seeing the expanse of red, yellow, and white tulips. The garden itself was, as always, spectacular and everybody seemed to enjoy themselves there.

Display garden is nice but small compared to Tulip Town. Roozengaarge does have some unique display elements. Fields at Roozengaarde are the best around - we tend to go to both.

After a long and boring winters in Seattle area this festival / place is great way to refresh yourself with some really good spring colors and get prepared for summers :)

Beautiful display gardens that visitors are welcome to walk through and enjoy with family. So many places to view and photograph tulips.

Was not rainy when we left Seattle and when we got to Mt Vernon, it was like the heavens opened up to welcome us there with the rain. Good signage from the Freeway marking the route to the Tulips and we were able to stop along the way to get some photo ops with fields behind hind us, mostly of daffodils at this time of year. The fields of Tulips were not close to the roads. Parking is easy and plentiful across from Roozengaarde and free. Someone is out to direct traffic on a Thursday morning, so that was good. Entrance is $5/person. Not sure how it works since we did not leave and try to return but you are given paper tickets. We started for the fields, but it was raining pretty hard, so we with the other guests waited it out in the gift shop. Gift shop is small, but lots of lovely items and well priced. It was nice that they did not overprice things for the tourists. You could also purchase flowers.. $5/bunch and if you bought 4 you got 1 free. Once the rain let up we viewed the gardens and it was so lovely and lots of photo opportunities and nothing too muddy or wet. Unfortunately the we were not prepared for the mud in the fields, so did not get to venture out into the fields to get to the Tulips. Make sure you are prepared for Mud if you go visit and take an umbrella (which we did not either), so you can view the fields. Because it is the northwest and it will rain.
Very happy with the visit.

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is located in Mount Vernon, Washington. Our first garden to visit in the Skagit Valley was the RoozenGaarde Garden. We loved all the tulips in the formal gardens and fields. The gardens are designed well and full of color. We would recommend going during the week and when the garden first opens if you can because it gets very busy as the day goes on.

This has to be the most photogenic place in Mount Vernon. Stunning displays. Simple catalogues, all flowers identified. We are local and take visitors when ever we have them... never a disappointment. Far more interesting than tulip fields.

Beautiful Fields of Tulip with multiple colors..amazing views around along with huge farms. Also Daffordil Farms are nearby. Garden is also beautiful with flowers set beautiful Amazing place for viewing and lots of pics :) . Need to walk a lot and it will be wet, so better wear shoes accordingly as will be muddy as well.
Before planning the visit, call them and listen on IVR about the Bloom Update.
Near the fields nothing to eat.
If you go late, parking will be difficult to get. Reach by 9:00 AM

We've traveled across the country for the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival three times now, and each time, we're overwhelmed by the beauty. Roosengaarde is a large farm with vast acres of tulips in bloom, and the Cascade Mountains in the background. There are a variety of display gardens and lots of new varieties to enjoy, but walking through the fields is the best part. Traffic is usually a challenge during April, so go on a weekday if you have the luxury.

We used to go every year before we moved to North Carolina. You never can get enough of walking through the rows. I miss it very much.

I love visiting here during the tulip festival. The gardens are amazing to stroll through. There is so much to see and the displays are different each year. They do a phenomenol job. They have a store where you can buy flowers, order bulbs, etc. They also offer food and drinks. This place is great and only $5 for admittance.

We went around noon time during the last week of April. To many people we should have gone first thing. The port a pottys were disgusting. With what they charged they should pay more attention to the details. A real cash cow for them, but i was disappointed. The flowers were beautiful, but i don't like feeling like cattle being moved in the chute.

We have visited Roozengaarde Gardens for years. Our Kids all have pictures of themselves here from toddles through High School. We have watched several changes come and go over the years including pay parking. Hard to find free things like this to enjoy anymore and this is one of the best.

The fields and fields of tulips were a sight to see, and the display gardens just added that much more to the beautiful views.

Drove north from Seattle Sunday at 9am.
Arrived in great time for easy parking and not too many tulip lovers yet.
Wonderful seeing the rainbow rows of colors full of life.

This is a must do every spring and be sure to take your camera! And your patience, parking and dealing with the hoards of people who flood the area at this time can take away from the beauty of the tulips if you let it! Be sure to check out the Tulip Festival in downtown Mount Vernon, too!

Crowds in parking area are a good indication as to why this attraction is good. Spectacular landscaping; decent food treats; small and crowded gift shop.

This is a must see tulip farm in the area of Mount Vernon, Washington. They have ample parking and gravel paths to the entrance, lines move fast to enter the grounds. This tulip farm is so well designed, acres of tulips everywhere you turn is a picture of beauty. They also sell fresh cut tulips to go and also refreshments and excellent fudge.
Enjoy the joy of spring you love it.

I’ve been to the Woodenshoe Tulip farm in OR and Tulip Town a few miles away. I have to say this one is my favorite. All of the tulip farms have backdrop views of the mountains in the area but this one have the best view! It was also less crowded compared to the other two farms. The tulips here were bloomed in every color possible as is visible in the tulip fields and the display garden near the front entrance.

The Tulips Festival is canceled, so there is no parking, stopping, visiting or dining anywhere. A drive by works nicely, and it’s free until we manage the Covid-19 outbreak, but then tulips will be done for the year. Roozengaarde does a lovely job, even along the road.

We visited during daffodil season and walked through the fields in puddles. We are locals so we choose our time around the crowds of Tulip festival. The parking is great here and there are so many photo opportunities that we have to go at least twice each year.

Very small display garden but has fields attached for photo ops! Nothing outstanding, I prefer driving around or biking around to look at the blooms but this may be a good place to park and start out.

I stopped by early April to look for tulips but the tulips are running a little behind their schedule. Tulip festival started on April 1 but 95% of tulips were not blooming yet. However, it’s a pleasant surprise that daffodils were in full bloom.

The endless rows of bright colored tulips made my heart smile. I'm so happy we were able to make it out here. A fun family outing with plentiful photo opportunities. The only thing I didn't like about our visit is that they have port a potties - so use the restroom right before you go there.

Simply gorgeous. Fields were bursting with colors. The color combos were outstanding. Staff was friendly. Great gift shop!

Plenty of gifts for the tourist or locals. Parking is usually available and the grounds are walkable for most everyone.

If you want to get out of the car and walk around the tulips and take pictures this is probably the best place to go. We went on a Sunday at the peak of the season with a lot of other people and the organization for accommodating those numbers was great. Parking was well organized, signage good but the porta potty situation could have been a little better. Sadly, the tulips are very early this year and the fields are not going to look great much into April.

A must see during Tulip Festival, Roozengaarde is a delightful place to see, buy and take photos of all types of tulips. There are food booths and bathrooms and a gift shop too.

All the daffodils were out now - tulips will be another week before they're fully in bloom. By Easter they will be fantastic. This is a definite must if you are in the Skagit Valley during the Easter period. Well worth the $7 admission plus you can order your next year's bulbs right on the spot.

this is THE place to visit when going to see tulips...wasted my time at the other 3 tulip venues....these guys know what they are doing.. STUNNING displays of flowers, so well-designed! clever gardens and paths all over the property....friendly staff.....easy to walk around and discover...tastefully done....such a gorgeous experience...worth every penny

Well worth the long drive. Easier than going to Amsterdam! The tulips were magnificent. Our timing was perfect, the weather was perfect. We went in the morning on a weekday so the crowds weren't bad. Enjoyed the beauty.

This place is beautiful and easy to find. The flowers are beautiful, parking is great, the staff are real friendly, and the gift shop is fun. I think the best time to visit is the second week of April.

I do love going to Roozengaarde to view, take photos and even paint the beautiful gardens in the springtime. They have a lovely gift shop and in the fall I always head back over to get a few more bulbs for my own garden!

By the time we spent a few hours photographing all the tulips, I felt like I was on sensory overload. It was a wonderful experience. Very well organized. Lots of people. My only disappointment was not with the gardens, but with the tourists that think they are so special they don't have to obey posted rules. After all, obeying rules is a sign of respect for everyone as well as the environment.

I am not a flower person, but really enjoyed visiting Roozengaarde Display Garden. There are huge fields of tulips blooming the last week in March and the first few weeks in April depending on the heat. I didn't realize there were so many different colors of Tulips. They also have many displays of planted Tulips in a variety of designs. They even have a row of all the Tulips they sell with names so you can look in their catalogue and mark the ones you want. You can also go in the gift shop and buy a variety of items related to flowers, pots of Tulips, and order your bulbs at the order desk. They also have a food booth selling a variety of items including delicious Lattes. I would recommend getting there early in the morning as the backup on I-5 can extend onto the freeway later in the day and there can be long lines of cars waiting to get into the parking area. It only costs $5.00 to get in. Once you are in, it does not seems as crowded as you would expect based on the number of cars in the parking area. There is also a handicap parking area next to the exhibits and an area for buses to park. I would recommend a visit. I was surprised that even little kids enjoyed it. You might want to bring an extra set of clothes as there can be areas of mud which young ones enjoy jumping into and even Teens enjoy trying to run across or in one case getting pushed into.

This is clearly THE place to go for tulip viewing in the area, but as such, it was incredibly crowded, which did detract somewhat from our enjoyment. As we visited on Easter weekend, it was packed! It took a long time in a line of cars to even get to the parking area. Then there was a pretty long line to get in. Once inside, there were people everywhere! It's like going to Disneyland.
That said, the tulip fields are spectacular. They have massive fields in many different colors and you can see the mountains in the distance. It makes for a beautiful scene.
We didn't spend much time in the garden and did not shop.

We came during the wettest time of the year, which apparently is not the norm. The fields were SUPER muddy, lots of slip and sliding. But the views were worth every minutes of it!
The flower layouts were stunning!

This place is epic. But just make sure you come in the right time. Do not come too early or too late.

Cannot say enough about this tour. Acres and acres of gorgeous tulip fields as well as beautiful, artistic displays. We had a picture perfect day. All staff were polite, very helpful and fully Covid compliant. So glad we did the Tulip Town Tour BEFORE this one.

The tulip variations and gardens were delightful and we so enjoyed walking round and examining all the tulip sizes and colors. We also walked the fields as far out as we could go - well worth the effort, especially as the sun came out by noontime.

It was kind of wet the day we visited the flower gardens at Roozengarde but the weather failed to put a damper on our experience. There is lots of free parking and I imagine it's pretty crowded on a sunny day in April. There is an admission charge of $ 5.00 but it's worth it. The fields were muddy. You might want to bring rubber footwear. The daffodils were at their peak and many of the myriad varieties of tulips, accented by multicolored Hyacinthes, were starting to bloom. It was quite a sight and a great photo-op. There is a nice gift shop, lots of Public parking and a small food court serving fast food, drinks, popcorn and homemade fudge and other candied treats. Worth a visit.

Usually the tulip fields are breathtaking. But to charge $5 a person for dead flowers? No fields? Thats awful. You should put on your website that the flowers are dead and stop trying to get peoples money. We waited in a lot of traffic for no flowers. They should have opened it early if the flowers came early! Be prepared this is not the first year of the tulip festival for heavens sake. Will go next year but NOT to Roozengaarde. I will make sure to go early. I don't blame mother nature, I blame the Tulip Festival for not advertising properly.

A friend of mine hadn't been to see the tulips since before she had kids( her youngest is 10), so we made a day trip of it. Cold and blustery, but still sooooo worth it on a Wednesday, especially when there were so few people! Attentive, friendly and helpful staff, plenty of restrooms, and hot food and drinks, if wanted. Daffodils were still blooming and many early blooming tulips, as well as hyacinth; truly a beautiful, magical place!

Loved the gardens and the beautiful fields of tulips. The gardens are so artfully planted with tulips of all varieties and colors. Photo op after photo op to capture. Seeing acres of blooming tulips was amazing and I was there near end of season. It is so worth the visit. Nice gift shop and well managed.

Beautiful fields of daffodils and tulips. We even saw some snow geese out in the field. Cute gift shop too. Fun filled day with the girls.

Traveled to Mount Vernon to see the tulip fields and ended up visiting the Roozengaarde flower garden and tulip fields. Visiting during the middle of the week was the perfect time, no crowds, plenty of parking and the chance to move among the flowers taking pictures without a dozen people in each shot...if you like tulips this is a great place to visit...$5 gets you in and they do have food inside if you extend your stay like we did...

At only $5 admission, its the best money you'll spend all year! The amount of tulips here is truly amazing. There are also cherry blossom trees which are stunning! Although there were many people, there was plenty of areas to walk around and enjoy and get photos. Evidentally there are other tulips displays in the area but this one is the best! You can even walk out into the fields where they grow them to sell. What an experience. Its only in the month of April so make sure to visit!

We visited a private tulip field, tulip town and the Roozengaarde. All were nice for different reasons. Less people at the 1st and more varieties of tulips and food and souvenirs available at the second two. The tulips are at their peak now.

I travel to Seattle once or twice a year for 3-6 weeks. This past spring I planned a trip for April so I could see the tulip fields and two display gardens. Both of my sons had been to the Tulip Festival previously, so we knew we should expect to be tied up in crawling traffic for more than an hour. It was worth the wait! Roozengaarde is absolutely stunning.
Wow! We went through 5 acres of display gardens with nearly ½ million bulbs in over 150 varieties. There is an authentic Dutch windmill, a 25 acre tulip field, and a 22 acre daffodil field. The display gardens are redesigned and replanted each year, so I would definitely return. I've never seen anything like it.

The daffodils were in full bloom while the tulips were late. A great place to take pictures when the tulips blossom soon. The have a little windmill and garden here. Some food and souvenirs for sale. $7 admission today. No restrooms, only Port-a-Potties.

We went when the tulips were about at 1/2 bloom...there were lots of flowers and lots of people. You can buy a season pass for $30. It was $7 per person over 5. (2017) The parking was plentiful (we got there early) but stood in line forever to pay to get in. Everyone should experience a tourist trap once in their life.

Roozengaarde is a large tulip farm with fields planted with many different colors. There is a lot to walk around! The colors are really vivid! I was amazed at the oranges, reds, pinks and purples and how vivid they appeared without applying any filter on my phone. Because the fields are quite large you could spend some time here taking different angles, with the mountain backdrop, the different rainbow colors. and close ups of different flowers. The Display Garden part as pictured in the thumbnail includes colorful block planting to create beauful borders. It also features a wide range of tulips - not just your regular ones, but interestingly shapped ones and ones with frilly petals. If you were interested just in the variety, this would be a great place to come because they have made an effort to showcase all different types of tulip. There are places to sit and food to purchase too. I am not sure if you could picnic here but you could probably get away with doing so in a quiet spot since it is spacious. Really brilliant ,

Display gardens are worth the price of admission along but the beauty of the fields is stunning. Be prepared to walk a good distance to see them. We have visited the gardens outside of Amsterdam and this adventure measures up without the 10 hour plane ride.

We missed the Skagit Tulip Festival by one day when most of the fields had been cut. But fortunately Roozengaarde was open with a fantastic display. If you ever find yourself near Seattle in the spring... you have to experience it. Worth a trip from anywhere to see this incredible tulip show. "WORLD CLASS" experience.

Skagit Valley is absolutely gorgeous, and this huge garden was beyond spectacular with amazing spring flowers. When we went in mid April, only about half the flowers were in bloom because of unexpectedly cold weather. But that certainly didn't stop us from thoroughly enjoying our time here.

Words can't express how beautiful these gardens are. My favorite visit was earlier in the month, late in the afternoon when the people were mostly gone. Just me and a blaze of tulip color in field after field. Miraculous.

Beautiful, breath taking, lovely, well orchestrated, amazingly designed! Everyone should experience this local wonder once for sure; if not making it a yearly event.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever visited!! Not to be missed during the annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival... I was so mesmerized by the beauty of their amazing gardens, I ended up buying 140 tulip & daffodil bulbs! ;-)

We visited last month. The tulips we saw were better than I expected.
On the weekends and Friday afternoons it can be very crowded.
Come during the week if possible.
You will always remember your visit to Roozengaarde.

The Tulip Festival occurs every April. The show gardens were lovely. Every photo we took was beautiful of the colorful tulips. There isn't much for children to do, but adults were really enjoying their visit. Parking is free. Pay to enter the garden. Worth it!

Beautiful place. Great for families. A bit pricey and a lot of traffic on weekends! Took us 40 min waiting to park.

We went in early March and saw fields of daffodils, so gorgeous and happy. I'd never seen so many in one place, it was just golden! The shop was lovely, the photo opportunities grand. I want to come back for the tulips!

One thing I like about Roozengaarden is their display of the tulips in true gardens. I can see what they look like next to other flowers. The flowers were in full bloom but had peaked. The gift shop is nice. Also liked being able to order bulbs for delivery in the Fall. Parking was easy to get in but road traffic made it a bit difficult to exit. Will be back next year.

This is the place to go - but come as early as you can! It's crowded later in the day. The planting beds are extensive, with lots of different color combinations and special displays and you can walk amongst them for photos and just to get a really good look at all the varieties and the special tulips developed here. Paths are grass or gravel and even wandering out through the fields is fun because grass means very little mud and standing water. Be sure to visit the nice gift shop and buy some tulips; the staff is friendly and fun. And the parking lot - busy of course, but lots of efficient staff to keep things moving and to help you find a parking spot. Nice touch - plenty of convenient portable toilets.

The beautiful fields is a given, I was expecting that but I was pleasantly surprised by how organized everything is..Parking is a easy because they have attendants guiding you..loved this place and the surrounding area...I recommend wearing rain boots!

April 1st was the first day of the Skagit Tulip festival and we arrived at 5pm. We headed for Tulip Town. Ironically, I wanted to save Roozengaarde for today because I thought TT sounded a bit corny. Turns out, the tulip fields at TT are on gentle hills which give pictures much more interest and depth. Also, they have more varieties and color which are truly impressive. Lastly, they have beautiful background scenery like barns, mountains, etc. With evening coming on, the lighting was perfect and I was able to take dozens of pics without anyone in them because of the rolling hill setup. Today, we headed for Roozengaarde and I thought (because of the authentic sounding name) that this would be the place to see even more tulips in more colors and better photo ops. Well, there were a lot of people...really...a lot. The fields are flat so there was no way to take pictures without having a lot of strangers in the shot. The backdrops are not so great...warehouses, a couple of wooden outhouses (actually, they probably would have been cute in a way), phone lines, cars. I did get some good shots with Mt. Baker in the background but that was the only improvement over Tulip town. In fact, after we spent about an hour at Roozengaarde, we headed back to TT! We rode on the tractor trolley which was more relaxed. There were more people there today but I was still able to get much better photos. In my opinion, no contest this year...TT wins easily.
In Roozengaarde's favor, the developed gardens they have are gorgeous but with so many people, hard to enjoy. I would say their gardens are superior but the fields of tulips are presented perfectly at TT.

This was a great experience. The colors were vibrant and exciting. The children were drawn to all the beautiful colors and the mix of flowers. It was a bus that the children could get into and pretend their bus drivers, or sit in the seats and pretend their passengers. To wander up and down the rows was exciting and vibrant. We took a number of pictures and you just might see one as a Christmas card this upcoming year, there were so many beautiful colors. Get there early in the day, by noon there were quite a few lines getting into the event. Don't do this on weekends if you can come during the week, the weekends are even worse than the week. Foods expensive on the premises so either bring a snack or plan on going out. They have for sale live plants and cut flowers. Their catalog is gorgeous and you can order bulbs which they will ship at the appropriate time for planting.

The tulips are pretty, wear good shoes if your planning to see the farm. It was muddy but all worth it. The entrance fee is $5 per adult, bring cash if possible for it will make your entry quicker.

The tulips are awesome! I am a local and try to go every couple years. The traffic is crazy on the weekends as is to be expected. We can't help the traffic or the fact that so many people have a difficult time figuring out the parking but if you take your time and come prepared you'll have a blast!
Things to do:
Stop about 15 minutes before you get to town and use the bathrooms. If you get stuck in town with kids that have to go you might be in trouble. If you wait to get too close you might hit traffic and get stuck.
Bring snacks for the kids so you and them don't go crazy waiting!!
Come on a weekday if possible!! You'll have a lot of fun and an easier time shopping and dining around.
Relax, enjoy and have a blast!!!

I just came back from there. I made a special trip just to experience the gardens. Thank you for the amazing fields of colorful tulips. I spent about 1.5 hours there and my pictures don't even do justice how breathtaking the colors are. Thank you again. It was 9 am. Right after they opened.

The demonstration garden is beyond description it is so beautiful. The garden is designed anew each year, so annual sojourns to Roozengaarde will be on the calendar for this family. The blooms were very late this year due to cold and rain. April is normally the peak period.

Visited April 22 - It was a rainy day but well worth the visit. Acres of tulips in every color and impressive gardens planted creatively to showcase the many different types and colors very artistically. They also had a snack bar selling sandwiches. the hot tea made the the dreary day better! Everyone enjoyed walking around the large fields and taking pictures.

If you have never "done" the tulip festival, make plans to do so the next time spring rolls around. Not to be missed.

Roozengaarde is an amazing experience! There are so many different species and colors of tulips. I could spend a whole day amongst these flowers and still not have enough time. There are tulips for as far as the eye can see! They do a military discount which gets you in for $9. I would totally recommend this to anyone and we go again anytime! They do sell bulbs as well as cut flowers here. There is also a good concession stand that is reasonably priced. The kettle corn is awesome!

Absolutely beautiful there! Bring rain boots and extra dry clothes if you trek through the fields which you absolutely have to! Expect crowds even on rainy days! Get there early if you can! Don't miss out on this little jewel!

I think we were little early to visit as tulips were half way bloomed during first week of April. It starts raining as soon as we entered the garden but we managed to take some picture around the garden with bloomed yellow Daffodils.Fields of them. I wish we would have waited 2-3 weeks for fully bloomed tulips. Though it was well maintained, beautiful and relaxing garden.
Love to go again

It’s a nice place to see a lot of flowers, it’s good for families, kids will love it, I close it when I was driving from Seattle to Vancouver Canada and, if you are around come and see it
Don't Miss These Tulip Gardens
These tulip gardens are breathtaking. Bring your camera and enjoy unbelievable beauty. It takes several hours to tour the various gardens and the tulip fields across the road. Bring boots in case of rain.
