1 of 13 Museums in Asbury Park

Our B&B Host suggested the Silverball Pinball Museum and I am so happy she did. We paid $10 for an hour, walked in and I immediately saw Funhouse which was one of my favorite pinball machines! The machines are in amazing shape and have a sign above each with the year and description. Instead of playing all the games I knew, I played games from the 50's and 60's plus a pinball machine from 2016 (I didn't know they still made them). They also have video games and some older baseball and skeeball games. The hour went by so quickly, we went over 10 minutes before we knew it. I plan to go back to Asbury Park in a warmer month and pay for a half day which is only $15. While us 40 year olds were reliving our childhood, a few couples came in after their prom and had as much fun as us. Cool place!

So much fun to re-visit classic pinball! Machine's in great shape, good variety as well. Staff accommodating.

A very interesting museum, pay a fee & play as much as you want. The history of the pinballs are described over every machine. A far down memory lane for anyone of a certain age!

We took my nephew's two little boys with us. Everyone had a great time.. There is something for every age group (an 8 year old, a ten year old and two middle-aged adults). All of their equipment is in excellent working order. A nice variety of machines. I like the fact that they have informative information about each of the pinball (and other) machines and video games. The signs tell you when the machine was made and what some of the popular features are about each one. Nice detail.

So much fun playing the antique games. Very reasonably priced. Great to get out of the rain on a beach day!

If you enjoyed pinball in the past this place is blast it is filled with pinball machines from the turn-of-the-century up until the present. You buy a wristband for a certain amount of time (we did an hour) and you can play any of the machines, no coins are necessary. The pinball machines are free play. Each machine as a sign that tells you it's name and where it was from and also they also keep track of high scores there so it is also a competition of sorts very fun place!

We were in Asbury Park on a family trip and Lisa at Kim Marie's recommended the Silerball Pinball Museum. So we came here on a rainy day and it was really hard to leave. We had so much fun. I beat my husband on the air hockey table as usual, my son loves asteroids and there are so many old school video games like pac man and centipeded. Love the pinball machines. So vintage and fun. Great family ffunday!

This place is great. Go whole hog and get the all-day pass -- you can leave and reenter as long as your wristband isn't expired.

We stopped in to play the pinball, lots of fun machines from my childhood and beyond. Not cheap though. $10/person for 30min of play. We wanted to play together so not a good deal but worth seeing everything.

They've got antique pinball machines, some classics from the 60's, 70's & 80's and a bunch of new games too. This place gets busy, so try off hours to avoid waiting for your favorite games.

How did I miss this place? My wife and I visited Asbury Park a few years back, and walked right by it. We saw the kids' rides outside, and must have dismissed it as a simple burger place that catered to families.
In searching for something to do in Asbury Park, this place came up, and I was hooked on the idea of spending an hour or so there before dinner on the Shore. The hardest part would be selling it on my non-gaming wife. As luck would have it, it was threatening to rain on our Boardwalk stroll, and it was a little too early to go for dinner, so I managed to convince her to join me for a half hour playing pinball.
The machines here are extremely well taken care of. The owners have done an incredible job restoring and maintaining them. And there's something for everyone. I had almost as much fun taking photos as I did playing the games I grew up on.

Stopped there on our way to Atlantic City with our 15 and 13 year old grandsons who love the old pinball games. They thoroughly enjoyed the place even though it didn't have a particular old baseball game from the 50's which the 13 year old is totally obsessed with! However, we all enjoyed ourselves and would recommend to all that they visit here.

Love the onetime fee and not worrying how many quarters we need.
Such fun games from my childhood and the kids had a great time too!

Great pinball machines as well as other nostalgic video games. Not too crowded. Pricing by the half hour and all the games are included in entrance fee. No coins or cards needed.

A great selection of pinballs and early arcade games. Most have sign telling you about the history of the machine, the designers, and notable features. Machines are set to free play. You pay an admission fee for the day, half day or the hour. Players are given a wristband and can come go as they please for the period they paid for.
In addition to pinball and computer games, there are baseball, mini golf, bowling and other fun antique games. During the day, the crowd is mixed family and adults. As it gets later (they're open until after midnight in the summer), the crowd becomes more adult. BYOB is permitted.
Silverball is one of my favorite Jersey shore attractions. I go with friends, family or by myself and always have a blast.

We go here whenever we have friends with kids come for a visit. Very unique place. It is well priced, clean facilities, family friendly with stools for the shorter kids. Worth the trip!

Awesome place on the Boardwalk. Friendly staff, fair price and am amazing assortment of vintage and the latest pinball machines. Went with a range of ages from 10 to 54 and there was something for everyone. Also - the staff was super, super friendly

if you like vintage pinball machines this is the place to go...they seem to have everything I remember from my youth....their pay by the hour deal is great....no need to have a pocket of quarters .....a great afternoon spent here

I came here a number of years ago as a teenager with my family, and had to take my wife here when we found ourselves in the area. This place is an absolute blast, for any and all ages.
There is so much arcade history packed into one small storefront. Each vintage machine has a plaque detailing its history and fun facts about it, making it nostalgia heaven for anyone who spent their childhood in arcades.
Best of all, you can play any machine you want! For a relatively reasonable entrance fee, you get unlimited game play on any machine you want. And they don’t just have pinball: there’s vintage video games, skee ball, and other arcade classics dating from the 50’s all the way through modern day. We spent over 2 hours here and enjoyed every minute.
If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. You’ll be glad you did!

We took our kids to "see" the museum and bought 1/2 day passes. What a great walk through history! We played machines from the early 1900's through the 2010's. Before we knew it, our 1/2 day was up! Had to go back again before our long flight home.
Watch out for the young kids that play the "5 player" games and hog some of the newer machines for hours - not cool.

My wife and I visited here today after hearing about it from many people. We finally got the chance today and we're not disappointed. The Silverball Pinball Museum was great fun and the price ($12.50 for an hour of unlimited play, $15 for a half day), while not cheap, is reasonable and spot on. We went on a Wednesday afternoon in July, I want to add, and the place wasn't overcrowded. Except for Ms. Pacman, we didn't have to wait long for any machine we wanted to play.
I was able to try any pinball machine or vintage arcade game I wanted and play the ones I enjoyed multiple times. I remembered a few Pinball Machines from the 90s and was delighted to find them here. Also, playing 1989's "Asteroids" was a blast from the past. An added positive I liked is how the pinball machines are grouped by decade. I tried machines from every decade from the fifties through the present. Serious fun is to be had here.

My 12 year old son's review: "It was like a museum but you got to touch everything and play all the games!" There were many pinball machines and a few skeet ball games. It was a great rainy day activity!

Six of us spent 4 hours playing video games for $15 each! Ages ranged from 11 to 66! A great time was had by all! Would go back again & would recommend for a great family activity!

Lots of vintage pin ball machines and games. Our kids and us had a blast. Loved that they had ski ball, air hockey, and many others as well. Such a cool concept and So much fun!

So many memories and so much fun. A true memory surfing experience. Something to share with the kids or old friends - and a real bargain too! These machines are amazing to play and it speaks to the love and dedication of the owner for this uniquely satisfyingly American pastime that we still can. Visit and play for an hour or stay all day - but make you sure get over here to enjoy a truly American treasure.

Brings back great memories of being a teenager. Playing all the old and new games is a blast ! If you are traveling near Asbury Park, this is a stop you want to make for sure!

As a kid in Wisconsin, we lived near Poplar Point, a local bar, with a room where youngsters could play games, particularly pinball machines. The owner was sort of an addict, and he would change them from time to time.
A mile from our farm, and I made the trek many times with a few nickles, all that was necessary in those days for a game. And, with luck and some skill, I might break even.
What a great venue to relive those days.
Tilt!!!

Love it so much I almost don't want to share it! I'm a loyal year round member, very interested in supporting this local business. Have fun☺

Large double boardwalk location in Asbury Park, NJ. Fantastic selection of machines from old 1950s wood rails to modern day electronic. Hourly, half day or full day passes available. No coins needed. Recordation of high scores to beat machine by machine. Best bet is half day or full day pass depending upon available time. Boardwalk food available on site with small seating area. Idea is to snack and not plan a full meal. Private parties welcome. Local parking is municipal thievery. Many parking kiosks do not operate properly. Park a few blocks back from the ocean for free in terms of expense and mindset.

We visited Silverball this weekend, and were really pleased with the experience. They've got pinball machines going back about 60 years, with a good assortment of machines from the 1960s and 1970s. Everything was in tip-top working condition. So very nice to play pinball machines that are as well maintained as these!! One note to would-be visitors: The pay-by-the-hour rate is pretty steep, so consider the half-day or full-day pricing options.

The Silverball is a great place to pass some time while on the Asbury Park Boardwalk, especially if you bring your kids. For the adults, it's a flashback to the old days of pinball, Pac-man, Galaga, and Centipede. They have machines from way back with the mechanical score counters to the more modern as well. The kids will enjoy playing pinball and, if they have seen the movie Pixels, will marvel that the video games are real and not just part of a movie plot. Definitely worth a visit.

Its a local thing there are many nicer places to go have a bunch of Pin Ball fun. Asbury Park is not one of them. There are transients that are released by the local hospitals and homeless shelters and begging is a terrible eyesore. Please I feel for the owners who were probably sold a bag of ashes and was asked to build a stone monument. Try it and see you might like it.

What a place for us old time pinball wizards. Play for a hour or half day at one bargain price. Great old time machines from the 60', 70's and 80.s. Great for the young and old. Enjoy Pete

Where can you find pinball machines of various ages that you pay to play by the hour or day? No need for quarters!! All pinball all the time. It was great.

We made our first visit to the Silverball when a concert was held there during the annual Light of Day music festival.
What a great place !
The vintage pinball machines -- so many of them! -- are attractive from an artistic point of view as well as a great source of amusement for all ages.
If you're there in the daytime, you'll also get a beautiful view of the ocean.

You can't go wrong here!! If you have time and want to do something fun! play video games! love reading the history of the machines and seeing the high scores! It is just PLAIN FUN!

The museum is a fun place for children and adults. It has a very large variety of pinball machines so there is something for everyone. You can pay an entrance fee and walk around and play any machine free.

Awesome selection of classic arcade games with the best pinball machines for miles around, skee ball and air hockey. Finally playing a KISS pinball machine almost completes me!

Great collection of vintage arcade games both video and pinball. Well maintained machines, Pay a fee based on time you plan to play and all machines are free. History of a lot of the machines are posted on them.

This place is awesome, what a treasure! My only mistake was not bringing my camera. They have working pinball machines from just about every decade. Video games from the 80's and skeeball. You pay at the door for how long you expect to play for and every game is set to go, no quarters. They have signs above all the games with really interesting dates, descriptions and facts about each one. Grandparents to kids, this place is fun. They do offer food like pizza and drinks.

The museum was a lot of fun and brought back fond memories of our youth. All of the pinball machines we tried were in good working order and the place was clean.

Have been here several times taking different people. Everyone loved it. You really do not need to spend more than an hour there. Last time took 2 of our grandkids there ages 5 and 7. They loved every minute of it. So amused that they didn't have to put quarters in the slots. It was not crowded so they could play their favorites for as long as they wanted. They have step stools so the kids could read the games.

A true New Jersey Gem!
Ton’s of pinball machines dating back to the 50’s plus lots of newer machines.
Also, many other arcade games from the 80’s.
Well organized and very clean.
Very friendly staff.
I was finally able to find this place, thinking it was somewhere other then the boardwalk, but surprised that it is directly on boardwalk. Must have walked by dozens of times. Went on a Sat morning when they first opened at 10am. Just myself and two others, however when I left at noon there were about 20 people playing. Grabbed a soda and started playing. Machines all have cup holders. The selection of machines is fantastic, I played some machines that I haven’t played since I was 12 years old.
The only drawbacks are that some of the older machines had newer flippers which seamed to be smaller than the originals, but to their defense, probably could not get originals.
I could only physically play for 2 hours, because my fingers started to hurt.
Great deal for the half day rate of $15.
Hope I can spend more time there and they also of decent menu with sit down area.

Relive all your old pinball memories, every machine you played from the eighties is there and working like it is new. Great way to kill a couple of hours

OK, I am a child of the 80's. Teen of the 80's. Life was, by and large, spent at a local arcade with a heavy pocket full of quarters. I remember, vividly, my old boyfriend spending far too much money so that his name and mine would be on every line of the top 10 scores of the day (love, 80's style!) Places like that have all gone away, but wait, there is ONE left! :) I had no idea this place existed and, imagine my surprise, when I stumbled upon it as I was walking on the boardwalk. I went in, bought a wristband (no more heavy pockets of quarters! leave the cargo pants at home!) which allowed you to play all games, as long as you wanted. I NEARLY FAINTED. I am in an arcade where I can plan Ms. Pac Man until my carpel tunnel won't allow it any longer! When the child giving me the evil eye because I have been hogging up the machine, finally starts frightening me, it's OK, because I can move on to Frogger, or Donkey Kong, or Skee Ball, or TERTIS! Even Tetris. Then, of course, there are the pinball machines. Call me a dork, but I was singing Pinball Wizard the entire time. I felt like a kid again and I cannot wait to bring my kid here. Wow, I miss the days of us all meeting up at the arcade. Life was more "social" then. This will give today's generation a taste of what is sorely missing.

This is the place to go to play those old machines you played as a kid. Pinball, centipede, skee ball and many more. There is a snack bar and you can BYOB. There plenty of other things to do in the area so its worth the trip.

My son gave me a half day visit here for my birthday. My wife, son and I had a blast of fun there playing games, games and more games. The place and people are terrific. Where can you go and have hours of fun and nostalgia for $15. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a fun time as well as a great place for a party. I couldn't stop thanking my son for a great birthday present and an even greater day. Thanks, Jonathan!

Very well kept together and a ton of selection. Rare to find all these retro games in one location. I hope everybody continues to support this place to keep the classics alive.

I had never been to Silverball in my various trips to Asbury and I don't think I will again after last night's visit. If you're looking for a true arcade this isn't the place for you. If you're a die hard pinball enthusiast/player (which I'm not) then this might be your mecca.

Spent two hours here because that was all the time I had; next time I plan to stay all day! What a marvelous collection of pinball machines old and new.
Unlimited Play with admission. Each machine has a sign with historical description and another with a list of the high scorers in various categories.
Also have skee ball, air hockey, pac-man, and other arcade games.
They have step stools for kids to stand on.
Great location right on the boardwalk. Convenient reasonably priced metered parking right in front.

This place is as much a museum as it is an opportunity to play some of the oldest pinball machines around and still working. It’s amazing how many machines they pack into rhis small location. If you are a pinball fanatic or you just like to play, you should definitely visit this location and try out some of the best machines that were created Wayback in the day. It’s a vintage location that’s worth your time.

Spent a few hours in here on a Saturday night. I wish I had come earlier and stayed longer. If you grew up in the golden age of pinball and video games this is the arcade of your dreams. A great selection of new and old games ensures that all ages can find something fun. There is an admission fee at the door and then all of the games are on free play. Don't miss this if you are in the area.

Fun for self or entire family. We had s great day on the beach... had a great lunch then spent time in the arcade! What fun for everyone...

Title sums it up. A great bargain to play old favorite machines and try rare ones you've never seen. Very very cool!

My wife and I are pinball addicts, so this place was a definite for a day trip from NYC (about two hours on NJ Transit). The machines are almost all 1999 and older and are very well maintained (there were techs on hand to fix problems when we were there). A full day pass is $25, but we got 20% off because it was a Wednesday and we're over 50. They offer some boardwalk-influenced food which was tasty but far from healthy. You're permitted to bring in alcoholic drinks like beer and wine so long as they're sealed when you enter. An excellent collection of pinball machines and a fun atmosphere.

Lots of great old pinball and video machines. Brought back alot of great childhood memories. A great place to spend an hour or two with kids. Right on the boardwalk.

Stopped in for some pizza and games. Pizza was personal size thin crust and surprisingly not bad. Disappointing that they didn’t have the white pies available. Enter the arcade for $3.

Silverball is affordable and fun. There is typically never a long wait and a wide variety of games to play. Typically we go for an hour or two, but they do offer all day passes. It's a nice break from the heat for a day at the beach or a fun family activity for all ages. BYOB.

This a place is a great place for all ages from 2 to 92 .I had a very great this here . All the pinball you can play.

This place was so great and such a throwback. Very cool nostalgic games. Loved the pinball machines. Will definitely be coming back.

Machines were all clean and in almost 100% flawlessly restored mechanical working condition. This was my second visit to this arcade and it is a treasure to behold. There are very few museums where you can touch and feel the art. This museum is truly a time capsule preserved, restored and maintained for everyone to enjoy. Step back in time and play the machines you spent your quarters on in 1964 listening to the Beatles or the Rolling Stones. Mick Jagger would be rolling in his grave (If he were dead).
Have fun. It's worth the trip from anywhere!

Okay, you have to like pinball or old-time video games but as a museum it is excellent. I especially liked the short descriptions of each machine with some historical context. Pinball machines are hard to maintain and they all appeared working. All that we played were without problem to a one, which is amazing in itself. While a flat fee appears expensive, we got a lot of games in and I enjoyed not dealing with the coin slot malfunctions that are a hallmark of such machines. Orderly crowd, very large variety of machines--something for everybody. Parking was okay for an afternoon visit but a problem in the evening, although we eventually found a spot (all parking requires payment).

Wow flashback to my youth. All the games I grew up with in one room. Pretty cool. Played Donkey Kong, pac man, tons of pinball games. Good time!

Great way to spend a rainy afternoon. You pay by the hour or half hour. It's a great alternative for the kids to spend a rainy afternoon.

Be a kid again - 10.00 gets you an hour of unlimited pinball and skee ball on various machines old and new.

No more struggling to find some quarters. Just pay the admission fee and play as many games as you want. $10/30 minutes, $12/60 minutes, $15/6 hours. We went for the 6 hour block and stayed for about 2.5 hours. They give you wrist bands so you can leave and re-enter. There were tons of old baseball games, pinball machines, as well as not so old like pac-man, asteroids, donkey Kong. It was a lot of fun for an afternoon.

I love this place. There are pinball machines from the 1950 all the way up to new units, plus a bunch of classic video arcade machines. I have the good fortune to live nearby. Wristband access...leave your quarters at home.

Ha I think it could be simply that this new generation of kids have no idea how to enjoy old school games. It was a very interesting experience and I was thrown back into my childhood. I like it, my kid didn't.

Been here many times over the years and never disappoints, had my birthday party here last year with 12 adults and everyone had a blast. They allow you to bring in your own food, beverages (alcoholic as well!), decorations, etc. For a flat fee you get a few hours of unlimited games, use of their party tables and a fridge. Plus, the birthday guy or gal gets a tee shirt to bring home.

Fun place to visit for an hour or two. Play unlimited pinball or other arcade games for one set price. On the boardwalk in Asbury Park. Great place for a party. They serve food too!

Family of 4 went to do unlimited play and found they were closed for a private party until noon. Ok, waited around for an hour no big deal. Went back a little after noon, and was literally told "We are going to blow you off for another 15 minutes...you can't come in" I believe this might have been the owner, but other staff was just as rude. Kids were disappointed, but I can't give money to a business that treats customers that poorly.

Teach you kids about what it was like before Gameboys....That there was more to life then digital gaming.

I am far from being a pinball or arcade fan, but this museum might convert me! For a set hourly price, you can play all kinds of old games to your heart's content and read about their history. Totally deserves the #1 spot on TripAdvisor for asbury park.

I live in the area, and have peeked inside, but never played in the pinball museum before. I took the two boys, ages six and eight there one afternoon after school. The boys had been there before and love it. The staff was very nice and helpful. I felt like I was back to the 50s with the music and old shows on the tvs. I had fun playing the pinball machines and the old games. There are plaques on all the games explaining how old they are and their history. Paying one fee at the door, and having unlimited play made it easy to jump around and have fun. There are lots of specials offered and for the adults out there, it is a BYOB place! There are tables to sit out and have a drink or snack. The only downside to the place is that I found the food to be over priced.

Silverball provides a retro arcade experience for everyone. They have skee ball, air hockey, very old pinball machines, digital pinball with all the extra bells and whistles, and video games of the 80's. The only negative is I never seem to give myself enough time. I love the old school pinball machines, but nothing takes me back like getting my butt kicked at Donkey Kong.

$10 for an hour of unlimited pinball plays, or $25 for a whole day of unlimited pinball plays. Entrance (without playing) is free. It was nice to play freely for an hour without needing to stop and check for coins
Although it seemed that the place mostly attracted those who were playing for nostalgia reasons (40-50 year olds), I think that the place is good for all ages. My sister and I are in our teens. There is a wide range of pinball themes games there, with new ones being bought every year, so there is something for everyone. The most recent one added (at the time of our visit) was the Hobbit pinball machine (2016). The owner apparently owns 600 games, and the room is packed with around 160 selected from his collection. The oldest one in the room is from 1950. About ten of them are not pinball machines, most of the 10 being Atari games.
Above each machine there was a paragraph which provided some interesting production/history facts, as well as objective of the game. I think an hour to play and read the signs wasn't enough. You would probably need two hours to do that.
My sister loved the place so much, she /had/ to get the t-shirt! Overall, fantastic experience, would highly recommend to arcade enthusiasts!

I came down to asbury park to visit my daughter. She took me here and we had a blast! The guy at the counter saw I had a Steely Dan tshirt on and played a few songs for us. That was really nice. I stayed at The Asbury Hotel and I think they have one of those pinball machines in their lobby. We played all sorts of old games we used to play together when she was little. Brought back a lot of memories for the both of us.

OMG! I did not expected to find it here! I was just looking for the restroom and once I got inside I didn't wanted to leave. See my pictures!
You can get inside only from the boardwalk/beach side.

Very Retro:) Loud, not really for socializing- great place for all ages.
Brings me back to fun times a s a kid

This place was so much fun.clean.organized and nice people running it and customers. No pushing etc.ran out of steam after 3 hours.but will surely return.thanks so much.

The only reason this is not a 5 Star is because some of the games do not work. Not the fault of the business and the crowd on a busy day which is to be expected. Otherwise, it’s a great time to be had by all! Brings back childhood memories. Definitely go there if you are in the asbury area!

Having grown up in the age of pinball, its really encouraging to see a place like this thrive on the Jersey Shore. All vintages of pinball games from early 1950s all the way up to current models...its a museum that you can play with. There are some other arcade classics thrown in for good measure. This place really brings back memories.

I love this place. Remind me of when I was A kid..when ever I am in Asbury. I have to stop in. Can't get enough.

This place was great! I highly recommend it. You pay one price and get to play the pinball machines....good family fun! Worth it.

If you're a Baby Boomer visiting Asbury Park, you must visit here. It has everything you remember from your youth: Many, many pinball games, SkeeBall, sharpshooting. It's like being a kid again!

A bit crowded & stuffy but a fun place to visit if you like pinball. Pay one price & play all day long.

Fun time and walk down the pinball videogame memory lane. Games, snacks, the ocean...fun times. Lots of history and fun for all ages.

This museum is a play place too. So many pinball games packed inside. Some of them are so close you end up touching hands of the person next to you. But everyone is busy playing, so it's OK. There are other games to play too, like Skeetball and air hockey. Each machine had a description of its history. The price is steep -$25 - but it's for all day play or $15 for half a day or you can play by the hour. Food can be bought also. The arcade is located on the boardwalk near the beach, which is convenient if you want to take a break from the noise and playing. My fingers were so sore and tired, but it was fun. Worth a visit.

Not sure about this being the most popular place in NJ. But it looked fun. Lots of people and seem popular.

I never realized how stressful it can be to play round after round of Centipede and Asteroids until today. By the time I was done, I was mentally and physically spent. If I hadn't felt like my parents were getting bored, I would have stayed until I scored the top score. I don't want to know how often they reset the scores. Lalalalalala!!!

Went with my dad and son for something different to do. Went on a Friday night and paid $15 dollars for pinball all night. Lots of different machines old and new to try out. On that night they had an Elvis impersonator. Was way to loud for a small place. Food options stink and where expensive. If your looking for something different the arcade is good

This place is a gem! Go place yourself some pinball and other video games on machines from every decade. It's really rad (and noisy).

This is a fun thing to do with family and friends! Take a trip back in time to the old school pinball games, skeeball and other fun games.

Dropped in for a quick bite and was surprised to find out that this place is historic. For gamers, a must see to see early gaming options.

If you are a pinball lover, this is a must visit place! Packed to the rafters with classic pinball machines!

Great Place to relive and replay those games from your youth. We only needed an hour. That was the most we could handle it all, but I'm sure real gamers can stay longer

I took my 12 year old son and he had a ball! Got to play many retro machines and he enjoyed them all!

I've lived in the area for years and didn't even know about this place until a few months ago. You can step back in time and play pinball from the 60s thru today, and vintage arcade games like Asteroids and Donkey Kong. If you even remotely like arcade games this place is incredible

We stopped by here as a break in our drive home to NC. It was a BLAST (from the past). I just wish we could have stayed longer!!

Not a typical museum... no display cases or ropes. You can play all the exhibits! Pinball machines from as early as the 1950s all the way up to new ones built in 2016 by "Jersey Jack" in Lakewood. Video games (like Pong from 1972), air hockey and skeeball. You can play as much as you want by the hour as you smell funnel cakes and other fried goodness! Each game has a short history card on it to tell you about the game designer- this is the museum part. Even had pinball techs fixing the old machines. Really enjoyed it!

A bit pricey but worth it to relive going to the arcades. Many classic games to choose from. Lots of fun.

Last summer, an unexpected rainy day while on vacation in Asbury Park put a damper on our beach plans. So what to do? A quick perusal of TA reccs led us here. Last minute plans rarely excite, and are usually just ho are ho-hum space-fillers. Not the Silverball Museum. $10 for all the pinball you can eat for an hour- we spent two hours. They may even be on Groupon. We are two nostalgic parents of the '80's, two teens and a 10 year old.
Silverball is a few things at once- can be a museum of carefully restored classic pinball machines and video games, each with an informative plaque documenting history of that particular machine, arranged in order by decade. It can also be a fun pinball/video arcade in and of itself, for those with no interest in nostagia (read kids). Just hearing the plink-plink of the pinball machines as you enter brought back such memories of my misguided youth. I even remembered specific machines that I used to enjoy- Kiss, James Bond (pinball), defender, every version of pac-man, centipede, asteroids, etc. And no jingling quarters in your pocket.
One caveat- it is a lot smaller than one expects, all the machines side-by-side in a medium sized room, so it does have a somewhat cramped feel to it. But thats the only negative that I can think of. The owner is wonderful, I complimented him on his collection, he was very open and appreciative.

We stopped in and this is a place you want to stop into. They have many arcade machine from when you grew up, Pacman, donkey Kong, Asteroids etc and ski-ball. You pay a rate and its unlimited play for that time-

This place takes you back in time. I've come here often with my grandson, friends children, and just plain friends sometimes. The pinball machines are retro giving us a moment to reflect on different kind of childhood. It makes me happy to see smiles on the pinball players.
The owner is a great guy, and my grandson got sick and couldn't complete he gave them a pass come back for a full visit. That speaks volumes.
They also have ski ball. You can buy Frankfurters and hamburgers and soda too.
I didn't give them the five because the place could use a little bit of the upgrade. Other than that I think it's a terrific.

Hubby and I love this place! They offer a variety of electronic games ranging from some of the early pinball machines right up to Jersey Jack's newest offerings. They have air hockey, arcade games, and so much more! Great way to spend an afternoon.

Pinball at it's best and it's open year round. Classic pinball machines restored to their original splendor and working condition. More than 200 games in row after row of vintage and contemporary machines. The place is truly a destination for pinball lovers. One pinball game goes back to 1931, many are from the 50's and 70's era and all can be played without quarters. Everything is set on free play. They have the early wood framed pinball machines as well. They have cards on the top of the machines that tell you the history, manufacturer, features and top score. Admission is 1/2 hr. $7.50, 1 hr. $10, opening to 5 pm $15, 5 pm to closing $15 and opening to closing $25. A wristband with time of departure allows you to come and go if you purchase an extended time pass. They have a concession stand and seating in the arcade. Mostly they sell pizza, hot dogs and burgers. You can take a break from pinball by playing original viseo games like PacMan, Centipede, Pong and Galaga or Skeeball, air hockey and table hockey. It's a very cool experience and ideal for a private party. It's located right on the boardwalk near the Asbury Park Paramount Theater and Convention Hall.

This is a fun place to spend a couple of hours. Lots of pinball machines and a nice mix of old as well newer ones. They also have some retro video games too.

I have been here a couple of times. You pay for a wristband; half-hour, hour, or all day. If you like pinball and some of the original arcade games; Frogger, Pac Man, etc., it's worth checking out if you're on the boardwalk.

We saw this while on the boardwalk and was interested, as my husband is a huge retro game fan.
When you walk in, the "arcade" part is sectioned off, so you have to pay before entering. It is a flat rate of $10.00 per person to go in for one hour and we where unsure if it was worth it.... IT WAS SO WORTH IT. We paid, got our wristbands, and entered.
The place looks small from up front, but it goes back very far and man, do they PACK pinball machines in here. We where here almost 2 hours and didn't get to play half of them.
Each pinball machine has a nice sign dating what year its from, a small history blurb about it and all the pinball machines are on auto run, so you can walk up and play any game.
I really enjoyed the entire atmosphere- adults and children alike having fun. It was neat to see the adults take a walk down memory lane and play with the forgotten pinball machines, and watch children be baffled by pinball machines as they never saw them and are used to playstations and more digital games.
Really neat place. Really worth the $10.00 to run around and play really rare and old pinball machines.

Came here with our grandsons before the season opened so it was not so crowded. Kids had a great .. Love they way they run things here

My husband and I had so much fun playing here for a half hour. There are so many options and so many games I was pleased to play again. I also discovered new games that I have never played before, which was awesome! The half hour flew by, but we got so much enjoyment out of it! This is one of our favorite Asbury Park trip memories!

This museum is right on the boardwalk and offers the arcade experience of days gone by. There are arcade games starting from the 1950's to the current machines. One entrance fee for an hour gives one the opportunity to play bowling, pinball, baseball, shooting galleries, skiball, driving machines,hockey,Pac-Man and I am sure I missed something. Food is offered, which I think is typical of boardwalks, hot dogs, hamburgers, and fries etc...They do keep late hours if u need to step away from some of the bar venues to have a different diversion. Each machine has a historical placard explaining its history and retirement. Overall a great experience and a must do between boardwalk bar hops. Have fun.

Fantastic array of vintage and modern pinball machines and video games. You can purchase "time" as minimal as the half hour to try the assorted games. Don't miss coming here!

We went there on Thanksgiving weekend. It was great! You pay a single fee (time limited) to go in and can then play all the machines that you want for free. They have an extensive collection of mostly older machines. We were impressed with how well maintained they are.
I guess I wouldn't really describe it as a museum. Yes, they do have a placard on each machine that says a few words about the machine. But, it's really an arcade.
We arrived in the morning -- just after they opened. That's a great time because there are so few people there then.

I took my daughter to the Silver Pinball Museum as she loves pinball. This was also my first time here. We were not disappointed. I played vintage games that I remember from the 60's. My daughter was amazed at the older machines on display. Prices were very reasonable and we made an afternoon of the boardwalk too. What was interesting to see were the high scores for each game. They were broken down by male and female; also over 50 scores. Very impressive and we plan on returning soon.

We stopped here on our way from D.C. to NYC. We have 2 teenage boys. It $10 an hour or all you can play for $15 per person. I told my husband I didn't need to play that I would just sit and chill. He said he would go ahead and buy me a pass. I played non-stop! We stayed almost 4 hours and the time flew! They have pinball machines in addition to retro video games like PacMan and Galaga. Highly recommend!

What can one say about the best place on the east coast with the best classic games! I relived my childhood when i went there last summer and now i can live through my childs eyes..!

We had an adult birthday party for 32 adults and it was incredible to play the old games. The baseball game from 1953 and The old vintage pinball games were amazing. Skee ball and bowling machines were amazing also. The staff is so nice and friendly. What a great place.

I stop in about twice a year and there are always new games as well as the old favorites. Try to go during off hours / mornings so you get a chance to play all your favorites. Staff is friendly and great location on the boardwalk.

So much fun! So cool to see and play the retro machines and games I’ve never even heard of. We had the best time during our hour before dinner.

Heard about this place on Trip Advisor, otherwise I would have bypassed this little storefront on the boardwalk. I am so glad I didn't miss it. My wife and I (both 50+) decided to stop in and what a ball we had. We paid for an hour and the time just flew by. So many different pinball games (a joy in and of themselves as I haven't played pinball in years), the skeeball from different eras, the Pac Man and other video games. I just wish I lived closer so I could visit on a regular basis.

Such a cool and fun place. My kids had never played pinball before and were amazed by how detailed each game was. The games they had were fabulous, plus old arcade favorites, skee ball and air hockey. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Games were all well maintained. All of us loved it and had the best time!

Nice, clean, well maintained. My son loved trying all the retro games. It was the whole point of visiting Asbury for the day. Gave a tween something to do.

I was in Asbury Park for a week in April this year (2017) and went to Silverball 3 times because I love the place. I've been there many times in the past 6 years on my visits to AP.

What a fun way to spend an hour. Right on the Boardwalk in Asbury Park, they've got every old pinball machine and video game you can think of here. Play to your heart's content. They charge by the hour of time spent at the machines. Can't beat this place, especially on a day when rain or temperature makes this a good substitute for the beach.

Easily one of my favorite and the best retro arcades you'll find at any Jersey Shore boardwalk! 15 bucks gets you an hour of unlimited plays and they simply ask that you wear a mask the whole time you're inside. We went before closing and they let us stay after an hour. Great workers and very clean!

I've been a casual fan of pinball for quite some time. I've traveled out of my way to a few arcades (the pinball tables were secondary) and I own several virtual pinball video games. But after visiting this place my interest in Pinball has grown tremendously.
Like most modern arcades or pinball galleries, all of the machines are on free play and you pay for a block of time. Last time my family visited Asbury Park I looked in the windows of the Gallery and was impressed with the selection. Seeing the immense selection while you're in the building is downright overwhelming.
My wife, brother and I sadly only purchased an hour of play time (seeing the Dead Kennedys at Stone Pony was the primary event) but I played tons of old electro-mechanical and new-school pins, along with some Bowling games and a electro-mechanical subway shooting game (I think it was Depth Charge by Midway). The pinball table Circus Voltaire really changed my opinion of pinball. I had no idea boss battles were a thing.
And as my title says, the tables were in AMAZING condition. I've never seen such perfect pinball tables. They must clean them daily.
In conclusion, if you are a fan of Pinball or Arcade games you MUST travel out of your way to check this place out. I know I'll be returning soon.

An absolutely amazing place with a fantastic variety of old and newer machines, many from the 60s and 70s, one even from the 50s, most of which I had never seen before. The variety, quality and experience far exceeded my expectations. The machines were in beautiful, almost like new condition, wonderfully maintained, immaculately cleaned and cared for. Loved the history and background information provided about each one, as well as the scoring tips. No better way to spend time on a rainy beach day! Expected to be there an hour and ended up staying for 3. Put on your favorite rock and roll shirt and immerse yourself in a fantastic unique experience!

Great for a beach break. Fun for the whole family. Watch your kids discover the classics - PacMna, Ms Pacman, Donkey Kong, Super Marios Brothers, Frogger and anything else you can name. I also love pinball, skeeball and the old hockey and basketball games.
Very welcoming to kids, even in the high season. We have been here several times and our kids associate Asbury Park and the arcade and look forward to returning every visit.

Good to relive childhood. Many different pinball games to play-they are free... you pay for whatever time you want to spend here(hour, two hours or more).Friendly [people and pizza wasn't bad either.

No quarters needed as your wristband gets you unlimited play for the duration of your session. Each machine has details about what year it was released. The collection starts with 1940's machines working up to modern favorites. A few games were out of order but for the most part everything played as expected. Everyone in our group had a great time.

they have all the pinball games when i was a teenager back in the 1960`s. you don`t have to put money in the macines, you pay by the hour

Hubby and I spent a couple hours here reliving our childhoods. If you ever enjoyed playing pinball games this is the place to go. All of their games are in perfect working order. Even the ones from the 60's. We also enjoyed a slice of pizza when we took a break. Very much recommend

I knew my boyfriend would enjoy this place, because he played a lot of these games in his youth, but never expected to enjoy it so much myself (because I never did play games like this, and I am 61 years old!). My only "negative" regarding our visit here, was that there really was no welcome or "intro" to the place. The young man at the desk hardly spoke. There are so many pinball machines, that it's hard to know where to start. There are information cards on the top of each of them, that gives the year they were made and some background about them. There were a few skeeball machines and table games. There's a LOT to take in, and we definitely should have spent more than the hour and a half there that we did. We hadn't eaten, so we decided to get some snacks while we were there. The food prep set up didn't make us feel too optimistic (right behind the counter where you come in), but I enjoyed a delicious Nathan's hotdog, and my boyfriend (who doesn't give out compliments easily) said the mozzarella sticks may have been the best he's ever had! Who would have thought?? And they were made by the quiet young man who took our money when we came in. We shared a smile as I picked up the food. I think he's probably just the quiet type. As a first-timer here, though, I just think it would have been nice to have someone give us a warm welcome and some kind of overview of how to appreciate all the museum has to offer.

The Silverball Pinball Museum provides one of the best possible pinball experiences for fans of pinball. Inside are over 90 pinball tables (from classic to brand new state of the art), all in great working order. I played 25 of the tables and experienced no faults in any of the machines, regardless of the age of the table.
The price, $25 to play all day (less expensive though only a couple hour options are available), which really is about inexpensive at it can possibly be. The pinball table selection is so widespread to easily make several hours go by quickly. If one prefers older tables, this place is just packed with them. If you like the new tables from the 90's onward, the selection isn't as large, however, it is definitely sufficient. If you like both, it'll be like being a child in a candy store with a $100 bill.
For a family of 4, it'd get pretty pricey, so I only would recommend an entire family if you are looking to a spend an hour there, or if the entire family consists of pinball addicts. An individual's experience will manage better with the pricing set up. The bigger the addict, the better the value. They also have monthly passes for the locals.
There are also a dozen plus older arcade games, a few skee-ball games, and a few shooters as well. I would strongly not recommend spending $25 to play just skee-ball and arcade games though as the selection of arcade games is small for a day long arcade experience.
They also sell pizza (made on site) and other concessions as well. The pizza is very good, a nice thin crispy crust, and a chunky tomato sauce, not a lot of cheese though. Simple, but efficient. $10 for a small pie, they sell $5 "large" slices. You probably could get a little better deal elsewhere, but not much.
The location is close to plenty of parking, though the parking is pricey (independent of the pinball shop as well).
If you like pinball, this is a good place. If you love pinball and have a day to blow, this is nirvana. There are places with more pinball, but you'll need to travel a good distance to find them. This place is truly awesome.

Absolutely an awesome place. Been here so many times whether with my kids, on dates, or with friends. Always friendly workers, great nostalgic games, always in great shape. A must to visit.

For $7.50 for a half hour I got to play some of the great pinball machines from the 1960's! It's the best $7.50 I've spent in a long time. If I wasn't with my wife, who was a good sport about it, I think I could've closed the place. I'm definitely coming back!

Very cool Only Thing is a lot of machine down
My 7 year Old loved it
They didn't have donkey kong or frogger
I would recommend they have someone walking around to grab beer bottles and beverages out of holders and away from machines
A-dangerous as it is glass
B-a lot of underage kids
We will go back

The tables are, with few exceptions, in fine working shape and it was a blast to play machines dating from the 1950's to the present. Williams, Bally, and Gottlieb are all represented including some rarer wide-body games. There are also a number of 1980's era video games and it was fun seeing how much muscle memory we had retained. Be aware, it's tightly packed and noisy so you won't always hear your game.

This is a somewhat hidden gem. You can play for one hour for $12, a half day (up to 6 hours) for $15 or full day for $25 and gives you unlimited play. There are pinball machines, video games, skee-ball, air hockey and other unique games. The pinball games go from the 1960’s to the present. The unlimited play is pretty amazing when you think of other arcades where you pay per game. They have typical boardwalk type food and it was decent (hot dogs, chicken tenders, pizza, hot pretzels, fries, funnel cake, mozzarella sticks, etc). The price of food was reasonable. We went with a 7 and 10 year old and they can’t wait to go back. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It is worth the stop.

Did you love to play pinball in your youth? Did your kids play pacman 24/7? Then this place is for you. we recently sponsored our company client party here and it was awesome! Everyone from their 60s to 30s loved it! Get there early for the best bang for your buck as its emptier then.

Want to spend a few hours reliving game room glory days? Want to show your kids what real games are like? Then this place is for you! They have real pinball machines spanning every era, from ancient to the latest high tech. Classic video games too like Asteroids (Yes I'm still a pro!), Donkey Kong, Street Fighter, and Defender (which I am just as bad at 25 years later!). Ski ball, jet hockey, and all kinds of things to discover tucked around the place. The $15 wrist bands are good from opening until 5:00PM or from 5:00PM to closing. Silverball is located directly on the boardwalk and there is metered street parking behind it; I generally find a spot easy enough any time I've come, but there are lots nearby as well if needed. The wrist bands allow re-entry so you can play for a while, take a walk around the boardwalk and come back for more. Plenty of food around the boardwalk, including at Silverball itself. $15 a head may seem like a lot to some folks, but this place is clearly a labor of love and I'm happy to support it. I can only imagine the effort and expense it takes to keep everything running. Kudos to the owners and the staff for making it happen!

We go every time we visit Asbury Park! A half hour is just enough to get your fix before you get a headache, great for kids and adults alike!

I live locally and have been here many times.. But each time I go I love it even more. I have always been a Pinball Wizard. Since my college days and to the present. The games are from all eras of the past. Its like Deja Vu. It's a must see.

Love this place. Pay one price, get a wrist band. There's over 200 machines to keep you busy for hours. Day time is great family fun, evenings for adult hang out or date night. Excellent activity on a rainy day. My 12 yr old modern day gamer really likes this place. He gets a kick out of his dad and myself getting excited over specific games we use to play back in the day, like the kiss pinball machine or centipede. Its also a great place to bring out of town guests.

Entering this space takes one back to the days of their youth. For $15 dollars, I could play endless games from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s & 90s for up to 6 hours. Each pinball machine has the year it was manufactured, the artist who designed it and how many machines were made. All of the machines were in excellent working order, as were the other games including Ski ball, Pong, Soccer...you name it.
I thoroughly enjoyed going back in time with my grand nephew and brother-in-law. I would return in a heartbeat.

This place is a must see in Asbury Park! Pay one fee for the amount of time you want to spend in there and all of the games are free!!! Super neat walk down memory lane.

Loved this place and thought it was so unique. Incredible machines that go back to the 1950's at least. Don't know anywhere else that has this number of historic pinball machines in working order that you can play. I went on weekday that was rainy so not so many people. I can imagine that it can get too crowded. I only went for 1/2 hour ($10) which was enough nostalgia for me. I did not eat the food. Why would you eat the food at a pinball arcade? Maybe if I was staying there a long time. Anyway, we had fun and I want to go back.

Great pinball/vintage video games to play. I am not that into pinball but I always have fun when I go. The staff is nice, the atmosphere is fun and the time goes by so quickly. Especially great when it's too hot our rainy for the beach.

Went here and had a blast. It is definitely worth the time to visit they have pinball machine from every era.

With over 50 different pinball machines from the 50's to the 90's, it's a lot of fun playing all these different machines. Add more great arcade games from the 80's and you'll feel like a kid again. Added bonus is people watching on the boardwalk.

This pay one price and play for a set time or all day pinball arcade / museum is a great escape from the hot sun. Staff was helpful and courteous. When I wanted to stay longer than my original 2 hours, they allowed me to upgrade by paying the cost difference. Would highly recommend!

If you like pinball this is the place to go.
Pay one low price and spend ax much time as you like playing o we a 100 pinball machines. They also have other throw back video games. Highly recommend!

Take a step back in time to a fun arcade filled with numerous pinball machines, video game machines and air hockey. On the boardwalk in Asbury Park. You pay for time inside and then all games are free. A fun experience for big and small kids of all ages.

Down in Asbury Park for a fall anniversary time away. Hands down, the Silverball was the best thing on the Boardwalk or in the town itself! Loved the pay one price fee. We paid for the 1/2 day fee and spent around 4 hours or so. There were old 1950's machines (with bumpers worth 10 or 25 points) as compared to the whiz-bang, musical, bells and whistle machines of today, and everything in between.
They also had a few Skeeball machines and an Air Hockey table. Food is available there. It was okay, and the prices were a bit steep, but in comparison to everything else around, it was fine.
We may even just bop down one day for a day trip.
It definitely paid to go in the morning. No crowds. Little waiting.
They also have birthday parties here.

Fun time playing arcade and video games that I played with friends and family from the seventies and eighties. To say I found one or two machines is an understatement, I found dozens that I played as a kid, which brought so many fun times into my view!
Fun for all the family to experience an hour or two and resurrecting the youthful times again!

Just the kind of museum that do not take hours to visit, good for people who have limited capacity for absorbing art in one visit.Exhibits change so one can come often.

Not a pinball fan but who wouldn't love being able to go from machine to machine and play a few levels? Add Skeeball and Ms Pac-man and it's one of the best stops you can make on the boardwalk!

So many machines to play. Very nostalgic. They do birthday paties there. Kids all enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly. Fun day out.

Love this place. Right on the boardwalk in Asbury Park. It has a large variety of games both newer and older. Pay by the hour, and play them all! Can't wait to go back.

I was told it was $15 dollars for five hours of play. It was great fun playing the way I used to when I was a kid myself.

Definitely a must visit when at the Jersey shore. Think of it if a museum of old time arcade games but you get to play them. Brought back so so many memories. Fun even for the newer generations that grew up on video games seeing them try their hands at old school games. The pay one price and play everything in the place is great. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Bring friends and family and go head to head with them on the games. Just great fun.

I was here with my husband and granddaughter & we paid for half a day use. It was well worth the money because each of us chose the games we wanted to play and had lots of fun doing it. Even though there were a lot of people there when we played, there was plenty of room and enough games to keep us busy. We spent most of the time playing skee ball and the pin ball machines. Nice thing is you can walk the boardwalk before or after playing. The entrance to the place is right on the boardwalk. They also have refreshments/food for sale.

This place is great. For ten dollars you have unlimited games which is great. However pick your time wisely bc if you go when they are super busy it’s hard to get on the games. Don’t go when it rains too packed!!

If you love old pinball machines this is the place to go. For a reasonable fee you can play old machines from your youth. That is if you are in your 50s or 60s. If not its still a great way to get the feel for the old pinball machines. Lots of places to get something to eat afterward too!

An hour will go by fast here, with all the games that you might have played and some you have never seen before. A one of a kind place, perfect Asbury Park boardwalk experience!

This place rocks.Arcade games from early 1900's to today & snacks too !
Pizza ( not great) hot dogs soda's you get the picture.
Great after a night of boozing ( meet rock stars ) or a rainy day this place is just plain fun

I went down to Asbury Park for a few days with my 11 year old son. I thought he would enjoy playing the pinball machines but they also had the old school video games: PacMan, donkey kong, donkey kong jr, frogger , centipede etc. He was in heaven and I couldn't get him out of there.. lol.. I definitely recommend a visit for a fun time 😄

It's fun. The older pins were unique, and the back glass was a work of art. The back glass on the new machines are all the same, and there is not much difference on the play field. On a recent visit a few machines were out of order, but a tech was there repairing them. When you have a couple hundred machines that's bound to happen. Not expensive compared to other attractions. Bring a friend and for $10-$15 have a great afternoon of fun.

They have every pinball machine and video game imaginable! Even Pong! Pay one price and play as much as you want. Right on the boardwalk too

Best hospitality. Friendly and informative. Educational and fun and relaxed. Feels more like an arcade than a museum. All machines are free and their Tomato Pies (pizza) are to die for.

We passed this gem every summer on the boardwalk and never went inside, well this past Sunday we drove from Pennsylvania just to go here and it was awesome! 3 of us paid the 6 hour price and boy did we get our moneys worth! They had all kinds of pinball machines from all decades, as well as skeeball, shuffle board, and air hockey to mention a few. We were able to come and go for up to 6 hours, which was nice. They do have a snack bar. We really had a great time, my wrists are still sore lol.

Had some extra time on the boardwalk and checked out this place. Super fun with friends and great food

took the whole family and we had a great time playing some of the games that we played when i was younger in good old Brooklyn N Y , definitely worth a stop if your on the boardwalk.

What a great evening. Playing all sorts of games gone by was a blast. The best part is not having to worry about coins. Everyone can just enjoy the games for what they are; entertainment. My skills have certainly diminished by the fun was the same as being a kid. A must do in Asbury Park!

This is a museum, but a museum of games you can play! This is really an arcade with a Batman Batmobile out on the boardwalk. Kevin Smith filmed Chasing Amy here with Ben Affleck and Joey Lauren Adams playing skee ball, and they have an old photo booth from the amusements where Tilly used to live. Enjoy!

what agreat place to bring kids for and hour or ore of inexpensive fun. When we went it cost $12 an hour to play any of the machines (some were extra but not many)
Afterwards you can stroll on the boardwalk or the beach, get a bite to eat in any of the wonderful resturants in town!

The price of admission is well worth it for the amount of time you get to spend playing in the arcade. The history provided on many of the pinball machines added to the appeal and allows for a greater appreciation of arcade games as a whole.

Right along the boardwalk in Asbury Park you can play arcade games and be reminded of what is good in the world. So many classic pinball machines and arcade games that make you feel so much nostalgia!!

Nostalgia, thy name is Silverball Pinball Museum. Where else can I go to play Asteroids and Galaxia of my youth? And then there was the pinball machines of the 1970's and that lead to answering all the questions from the teenager as to who was Evil Knievel? And all the other cultural icons of the 1970s/ Not a bad place to be and drop $10 for an hour of playing pinball!

Today, we went to this museum on the Asbury Park boardwalk not knowing what to expect and, boy, did we have a great time! We are not pinball players, but thought this would be fun and it was. Retro pinball machines, arcade games, skeeball, hockey, pong, vintage TV shows on the screens, and "kids" of all ages having a ball. It was a cold, rainy day today, so I don't know what it looks like in nice weather, but since this is not yet and summer season, it was quite cozy! The entrance is on the boardwalk side and it is packed with old, well maintained machines. Above the machines, there is brief history of the manufacturer and the history of the machine and what its goals for play are. You pay a one-day rate and you can play all day with the one admission. It was fun trying our luck from machine to machine. My husband loved an old vintage baseball pinball machine that tallied runs, hits, etc. and had little men "running" from base to base. There is a little "café" inside that serves basic snack foods, but there are also real restaurants nearby. The museum in a little "strip" near the Stone Pony. Don't know what parking is like during the "season" but now street and lot parking were available. I can't tell you the last time we had so much fun and it was fun watching others having fun as well. The one day pass is $25 but that is for unlimited play with in and out privileges. Tom, the manager, was very nice as was the staff in general. Highly recommend for you, your friends, your grandkids, etc. It's like a trip to a time where life was simpler and just fun.

We were visiting Asbury Park from out of town and enjoying a stroll down the boardwalk when one of my friends suggested we go in to the Pinball Museum and kill an hour. To be honest, I wasn't too keen on going in but I'm really glad we did. You paid one price to enter and got to play as many pinball machines as you'd like within the time frame you purchased upon entering. Tons of pinballs machines, each one is labeled with the date it was manufactured and the name of the company who made it. So much fun!

What a place. Can't have spent better time than playing old pinball machines and arcade games. What a rush. Definitely a repeat. Need to get my old pinball machine working.

Hadn’t played the silver ball in 35 years. This place brought back so much of my youth, it was like the “Fountain of Youth”! The staff was very happy, and the machines were clean. I can see why it is so popular!

Great place! One flat rate for an hour ($10 for an hour) or more. One hour plenty of time to reminisce with old school games.

This is a treasure. Fun. And informative. The breadth of pinball and retro machines is impressive and the history is amazing to have on display as well. Major bonus to not have to continually feed the machines.

Did this with my girlfriend this past week while in town visiting. Had an extreme amount of fun playing games from my childhood and even playing the machines that my parents would have played when they were children. Highly recommend this attraction to any native people from New Jersey or to people who like me come from out of state to visit and experience.

For pinball fans, this is a don't miss! We were there off-season so it wasn't crowded. You can pay a flat fee for the day or by the hour and then the machines are free to play as long as you like. Great selection of early to more recent machines, also have pacman, early video games. There is information about the date and features of each machine.

Even if you are not a pinball wizard, if you are a fan of hands-on electric as opposed to electronic games this is the place to visit. Play for half an hour, an hour or an afternoon there have pricing to suit everyone. The machines are in working order, clean and ready for your flipper fingers. Get In touch with your "bad" side when these machines appealed to the Fonzy in us.

I am a pinball collector and this is one of the pinball arcades on the east coast. Most of the games are in mint condition and the amount of games they have is incredible. A must for any pinball lover.

Children can place skeet ball and a whole bunch of pin ball machines, we paid 10 per kid per hour, they had different rates as well, would be a great place for a kids party!

If you are a baby boomer who grew up through the mechanical, then electronic, and then early video games.......then this is the place for you. We spent three hours playing every game imaginable and unlike most other pinball arcades you've ever been to.....they all worked! You pay either by the hour or 1/2 day, whichever you choose it is a very inexpensive way to relive your childhood memories playing arcade games. When you are done you can take a walk on the Asbury Park boardwalk and enjoy the ocean air. Fun day!

Don't order the pizza. Employees are teenagers and is not the greatest counter people. Good views of the beach

Super cool spot for gamers and casual players alike. Definitely a fun spot for all. Unusual and worth seeing/playing.

Great place for vintage 80's video game and flipper lovers. I recommend to spend at least 1 hour to get even a glimpse. In 2 hours you can play your favorites more times. Our off season visit in March was perfect as there were not waiting to play all the greatest games of the past.

We laughed and smiled for hours. 3 teenagers and 2 adults... we had so much fun! Don’t let the word pinball fool you, so many old school video games that our teenagers have never played.

This place is a throwback to earlier years when arcades were in fashion. While a few do exist, this experience was exceptional. A single flat fee depending on the length of your stay. For a little bit more, the price allows you to stay for 6-hours or longer
Well you may say, why stay so long? The simple truth is all the games are part of the entrance fee. You can play as many games as you like for as long as you like. Now that’s a real deal. There are hundreds of pinball, air hockey and other games. Located on the Asbury Park boardwalk, it’s easy to park and enjoy the fun. While it was a Friday afternoon in November, it wasn’t busy and we parked right in front. It’s the coolest place on Earth.

A really nice variety of pinball and arcade games that the whole family can enjoy. You can pay for 30 minutes, an hour or half-day (6 hours) for unlimited play on the machines. It can get crowded.

We went in around 11 pm for late night snacks and to play some games. We had a great time on the skeeball, pinball and pac man machines. It's easy to spend an hour or more there! A must see.

My husband and I traveled to NJ for Six Flags. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate so we were looking for something to do indoors. Thankfully, we found this retro arcade! It was a great location right on the boardwalk. They had a lot of fun games to choose from.

This is a place that should not be missed. Pinball machines from every era. Tons of them. It is a lot of fun and the price is reasonable. Introduce your kids to the stuff we played with. I go there at least once a year.

Never played pinball as a child, and this was so much fun. All different games and lots of antiques machines - worth a visit

Nice place to escape the heat and travel back in time for some old school arcade and pinball games. Friendly staff.

Silverball Museum provides an opportunity to go back to a simpler time. Besides providing entertainment, Silverball provides a history of the industry as a whole as well as each individual machine.

From old electromechanical to late model 50 volt flippers, they have great selection. Same goes for Boca Raton location

I love this place! I love the old wooden pinball machines in the back which are a lot harder to play than you would think. I love the Pong game in the TV set in the back as well. That is definitely harder to play that you would think. All you have to do is hit the square, slooooow moving ball with the paddle. But no! It's so easy to miss. There's a selection of 80's arcade games that I enjoy playing and the light-up style pinball games that I grew up with. I love spending time there.

We had a great time and will be back. The $15 price per person for 6 hrs was worth it. We didn't stay that long but it was well worth the two hours we were there.

The most fun for children of all ages. $12.50 an hour play all the pinball and retro video games you want. They have refreshments if you want, we did not.

We tried to spend just an hour here but ended up having to go back and re-up our wristbands for another half-hour. In short this arcade is jam-packed with the best pinball machines and other arcade games, and they are absolutely addictive! A really special place.

Playing pin ball machines made me young again..Had my grandchildren with me ages 4 and 5 showing them how to use the flippers, they played skeeball and packman. And the owner was such a nice person. Good place to spend on a cold winter day.

If you are old enough to remember pinball, and not video games, then this is the best place in the USA to re-sharpen your skills, and reclaiming your youth.

Don't get turned off by the name of this establishment, this is an actual arcade where you can play an assortment of pinball machines and arcade games for an hourly entrance fee. Once you pay the fee and get your wristband, detailing the time you entered, you can play as many games as you wish without paying a single penny more. They have a wide range of vintage and current Pinball machines including the ever-popular The Addams Family Pinball Machine.

My friend and I who have been friends for 50 years had a great time here. There is nothing like a good game of pinball. The machines bring back alot of memories if you hung out in bars in the 70's and 80"s. The bowling machine is a gem as well however I think it needs a bit of saw dust on it to keep the disk moving. They also play great tunes and have an old retor photo booth.

The Silverball Pinball museum has tons of pinball machines to enjoy ranging from the 1950 to present day. Great for a rainy day or even a break from the sun. Better to purchase the half-day ticket to play all the games, including Pac Man, Frogger, Super Mario Brothers, Pong, Air Hockey, Skeet Ball, and the multitude of Pinball machines. Fun - Fun - Fun!

I am in my 60's and got to play pinball machines from the 1960's. What a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Original 'Pong', classics from the 50's to more current years. And all in great working condition. Best $10 I have spent in a long time. If you were a 'pinball wizard' you must go to Silverball.

I did not personally go, but my husband and son spent hours there one afternoon of our visit. Prices were reasonable and my seven year old was entertained for about 3 hours

I've visited this pinball museum/arcade with dates and brought my children. The half hour visit is a value. You pay one flat fee and get a wrist band, then play any games you want. There's something for everyone here.

You will never find such a great selection of operable arcade games in one location and for one fee you can play them all. No quarters needed. I am astounded that the owner can keep these machines running. We had a great time and the selection from the 1940s up till now is amazing! We will return.

You can spend an entire day in this place. Perfect to visit with children and enjoy playing with all the old pinball machines and everything else that they have!

"Museum" conjures up visiting T-Rex fossils and Civil War guns. You can't touch either. But at Silverball there are signs everywhere and history galore. And you can get your hands on vintage arcade games from the 1960s-1980s.
I can't stress enough how fun this place is. We paid $15 for *unlimited* play. Incredible bargain! The vintage pinball games are all here and all work. It's hard to believe these flippers still function just like in 1965.
We had a five year old and he went bananas for it. He temporarily forgot what an iPhone is. The place is clean and run well, the staff are super friendly.
Highest recommendation.

We came here for an hour on a day trip yesterday. We consist of myself, my wife, 4 year old daughter and 7 year old son.
What a blast. Playing pinball, skeeball and old tabletop hockey with my wife and kids was awesome. And watching my 4 year old daughter play pinball was great. The highlight for me though was seeing her really love and then not want to leave the old standup Pole Position arcade game.
There were no negatives. The place was very busy for the first 10 minutes, because a local summer kids camp was there, but they left again after 10 minutes which made it a lot less packed.
The only advice Id give that has a negative component is my wife is a public health educator, and she thought the setup made it perfect for pedophiles. So definitely come here if you go to Asbury Park and bring your kids if you have any. But make sure you keep your kids in eyesight view or at least know where they are in the Pinball Museum.

Made an unexpected stop at the Asbury Park boardwalk and came across this hidden gem. Great games for a reasonable prize. My six year old had a blast and so did I.

all machines in working order and every machine has a history lesson. we did the 4-hour, $15 deal - very reasonable.

It was so crowded on the day we went, that 2 out of the 4 people I was with decided not to go in. I think the bad weather brought in people looking for something to do. It was a bit confusing when you walk in, you pay by the 1/2 hour (12$ for a half hour), then go through a turnstile. They had some really interesting old, wooden Pinball Machines and it was pretty fun but I probably wouldn't do it again.

Referring to the Silverball Pinball Museum as a “museum” is a little misleading - this is so much more than just a typical "museum". Unlike the typical "museum" where visitors pay an entrance fee and just look at exhibits behind glass cases, this is all hands on. Dozens and dozens of antique pinball machines, skeeball machines, electronic bowling machines, etc that also include a brief historical background of the respective machines. Every machine is set for unlimited play for free. I paid for an hour of play which cost just $2.50 more than a half hour and was well worth the price. I can't say enough about how much fun this place is - and I can't wait to return.

Spent a few enjoyable hours with family today at the Silverball Museum. Teenage boys were happy, husband very happy, and 40-something mom even had fun! Games were well-maintained and offered lots of variety with pinball machines, retro arcade games (video and other types like Skeeball, bowling, air hockey, etc.)
Staff was friendly and appreciated the hand sanitizer at strategic locations. Little stepstools were available for children to get in on the gaming action. Admission price very reasonable for entertainment value and prices at snackbar seemed reasonable.
Hint-- get there EARLY on a weekend. Arrived just after 10:00 on a Sunday morning in February-- was very crowded by noon.

Visited with my wife and daughter, we all had a good time. My wife and I were able to play the games we grew up with and introduce my daughter to entertainment before iPhones.

What an incredible place. Vintage pinball heaven. An amazing collection of pinball machines from the 50s to contemporary ones. We could have stayed there for hours. Definitely worth a visit on your next road trip.

I could spend all my time here !! So much fun reliving my childhood!! Go after all the kids are gone and you can enjoy some adult time!!

This place is awesome! We came in on a rainy afternoon and bought a day pass and stayed for over 4 hours! All the great games from the 80's: e.g. Asteroids, Centipede, Missile Command, Pole Position, Donkey Kong plus every pinball machine you can imagine. Once you enter, all the games are free! What a feeling!!!! We didn't order any food, but the smells were delicious. Soft hot pretzels and fried dough fumes wafted through the air. If I wasn't trying to recapture my crown in Asteroids, I might have tried something! Ha!

The most amazing place to visit. A real trip down memory lane, took me back to my childhood, so much fun. I can't wait for the chance to visit again. If you are in Asbury Park you must go here!

wow wow wow.. through back in time and makes you feel young again... well almost.. this place is the best the place is at one of the Best Beaches in NJ ... got to go there at least once a year.

Most museuems are for viewing purposes. Here you can use all of the arcades and it comes free with the wristband. Kids will love it and people who remember punball and arcades will become immersed in it

The games are included in the price of admission. I have 2 kids that are terrible at video games. This place they can play over and over. Worth the stop.

If your a fan of Pinball games then this is the place for you! A great place to re live those memories o f yesterday and create some new ones with your kids or grandkids. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonably priced. Also has a small snack bar. A nice change of pace to appreciate a lot of the older arcade games from the past. You wont be disappointed.

If you like pinball, don't miss it! Huge variety of machines in good working order. Hourly rates, so play as many games as you want within your time frame. Some great classics!

So much fun to play all the games as much as you want! Lots of different pinball machines to try out from all different decades. I felt like a kid playing old school games from the 80s. Did my hand used to hurt this much playing Pac Man 30 years ago? I would recommend this place to anyone that enjoys vintage video games. It is worth the trip to Asbury Park just for this place!

Want to wile away the hours, challenge your skills & be entertained all in one place? This is the place to do it. Grab a friend, buy an afternoon or evening pass for $15 and spend the next couple of hours playing every machine they offer. . . then play them all again!
I saw players, aged grade school to seniors (men & women both), with such a look of pleasure on their faces, I just had to try it. And next thing I knew, I had the same look.
If you want to entertain visitors, take them back to their youth - at the Silverball!

I went to Asbury Park (from Maryland) just to go to the Silverball Pinball Museum. It was well worth the trip.
For select prices you can play for a determined amount of time, they vary, or spend $25.00 and get a full day pass. I chose the day pass.
The collection here is exquisite. While they have new games such as Jersey Jack’s WOZ and The Hobbit, the museum boasts playable pinball machines and other mechanical coin-op games dating back at least to the 1950’s. Most are in really great shape, considering how old they are. One of my favorite Bally machines, Cirqus Voltaire, kept re-booting, and occasionally a game would have some small issues, like the flippers needing adjusting on Medieval Madness, but with so many games to play that were in excellent condition, I was not left wanting.
I was there for some hours during the day, and came back in the evening while a children’s party was going on. I found a lot of the kids were starting four player games, playing a few balls, and then walking away, leaving me to power-cycle the machines (which I don't like to do without permission) or plunge all the balls. Most of the pins are set for five balls a game, which is different from the usual three balls you see on solid state machines. I prefer the three ball games myself, but it wasn’t like I was playing in a competition.
Overall, if you are a pin-head, then make this pilgrimage. If you are otherwise in Asbury Park for a holiday then you must check this gem of a place out. While I had played most of the tales there at one time or another over the years, I found a few I had only read about (Bally’s Safe Cracker, for example). While pinball has undergone a strong resurgence in recent years, this place will really take you back to a simpler time before home gaming consoles killed off the arcades.

First - the owner should really consider expanding this amazing and absolutely insanely fun attraction. All five of us (including 3 kids), had an amazingly good time and spent the better part of an afternoon getting our overdose of video game arcade which now has become a standard stop for this summer any afternoon and evening when we're fed up with high-tech gadgets and want a more basic, interactive and stimulating way for us to play as a family. The kids are 100% hooked and want pinball machines at home which of course they're not getting ... wonderful throwback vibe and really cool and hipster crowd alongside families and kids ...

Such a cool experience. Right off the boardwalk, the retro arcade offers a timeless experience taking most of us adults back to the days when we were kids. They have practically everything inside including skee ball, Nintendo, Atari, and more pinball machines than you can ever imagine. Below are just a few things I was able to play in just 30 minutes:
- Indiana Jones
- Wizard of Oz
- Super Mario Bros.
- Skee Ball
We did a 30 minute pass since it was our last day, and it was a great reprieve from the heat (yes, it was 90 before 12 noon).
Regardless, if you are looking for some fun tied in with some history, definitely check this place out. There’s a reason it was voted a top destination in New Jersey.

Was given a Christmas present that we finally got to use and it was an amazingly fun time. Got to play games from my childhood including pinball games, target games, skiiball and even some of the old video games. A worthwhile trip and know I had a good time as my wrists were sore from the pinball!

My husband and I actually spent 6 hours playing the large variety of old and new pinball machines at this museum. We had such great fun. You can pay one price and spend the day there. They do have food but you can go out onto the boardwalk if you want a larger menu and more comfortable seating along with wait staff for food and return. This is what we did and had a fabulous day. So much fun playing the various machines with strong favorites: Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, and The Shadow. But we loved them all! There is also a bowling machine, knock hockey and so much more. Go and have fun!

This was so much fun for us and our kids. They have all the old Atari games we played as teens, and tons of pinball games. Great funnel cakes too!

This has to be one of the largest if not the largest collection of vintage pinball machines from the 60's, 70's and 80's in existence. All of them function perfectly and you'll go nuts trying to decide which ones to play. One admission fee gets you in for unlimited play. Highly recommended.

Wow!
For anyone that ever dropped a coin in a pinball machine this is a little piece of heaven.
Massive collection of old and new with descriptions and history attached.
I found the old wood rail machine that was in my Uncle's pool hall back in the sixties!
The kids enjoyed everything from a fifties baseball game ti a spanking new Star Wars digital!

Great place to spend an hour with a ton of fun games both modern and historical. Another gem on the Asbury boardwalk!

My boyfriend took me here for us to have some fun and we did!
I haven't played a pinball machine in over 30+ years but I beat him!!
We played air hockey and he beat me! We had a great time. Made us feel like kids again. What a great escape from reality.

A great place to spend a couple of hours on a rainy afternoon! Love that there is a flat rate to play by the hour, as opposed to having to get tokens. Incredible machines that are lovingly preserved! A great way to walk down memory lane! (ONE drawback...The food service is horrible, as is the actual food. Don't get suckered into buying the "Giant Slice"! It's cardboard with some tasteless cheese & a couple dollops of tomato paste. Save your appetite for the other great restaurants on the Boardwalk!)

Nice place to spend some time and interesting for those who may enjoy a blast from the past. resonable price. parking in the area may be an issue.

This place has something for every one kids of all ages from my 77 year old father in law to my 15 year old son.....
Price point is perfect the people are great crowd was fun and upbeat. This is a favorite near home place.

We have been to the pinball museum multiple times with our grandkids. This is a place all ages can enjoy. Vintage machines share space with the newest models plus skeeball and air hockey.

Cool place, pay one fee play all games. Nice facility and all machines work, etc. Games vary from the 2950s pin balls to current, great concept and great way to spend a couple hours

What a blast from the past! Brought home many childhood memories. The place was full of nostalgia. Very neat and friendly worker. Go have fun !

Excellent selection of classic arcade games with the best pinball machines for miles around, skee ball and air hockey. All machines play for free. See some of the earliest pinball machines and video games to the very latest machines. Pizza, soft pretzels and hot dogs available with indoor and outside seating. Half day wrist band is a good value at just a little more cost than an hour pass.

Great place. Brought me back to my teen years. Same games. Fun times.
The pin ball games and video games reminded of growing up playing in the arcade.

Of all the arcades on the Jersey Shore, this is the only one worth visiting. Not only is it a good value for how much you pay for admission, the place is a literal museum for pinball and arcade machines. There are rare classics here (Gemini!), with some machines from the 70’s and 80’s that are nearly impossible to find let alone get to play.
This is a yearly pilgrimage for myself and my young family and I hope to make it back here with just my wife and I for many years to enjoy the games from our youth. I just wish people realized how fortunate they are to play these machines and treat them with more reverence and care.

If you're of a certain age, you'll possibly go into some sort of state of sensory overload. It's not because you can't handle the noise of the machines, or the blinking lights of the most modern machinery, but because you can't decide which one to play.
Not only do they have all the pinball machines I played as a kid, but they also have the arcade games like Galaxian that I played as college student. Plus, you can turn it up a wick and play the later games that tried to hybrid the pinball with the video arcade games. Take a few minutes to read the signs above the machines. It provides some historic context and offers tips for "winning."
I visited about five years ago, and I don't think they had as many early 1980s video arcade games. I appreciate the addition. I look forward to visiting their site in Daytona Beach.

This is not a typical museum... you can see and play on all sorts of pinball machines dating several decades back. The collection is pretty cool, and its unlimited play as well (based on the entrance/package you buy).

We bought the 6 hours for $15 and had a great time. You can leave and re-enter as much as you want. We left to have lunch - though they do have food available there but we were looking for something more than boardwalk food. Were sure to go back again after lunch. Plenty of games - classic and newer pinball as well as the old classic games of centipede, pac man/ms pac man, donkey kong, pole position etc. Everyone in our group had a great time.

This attraction is directly on the Asbury park Boardwalk. $7.50 gets you admittance and all the pinball you can play for 1/2 hour. They have an ice cream shop and a little deli as well.

Best time ever! We went here with our son and his friends for his birthday. We got the all day pass. It was great they played for hours. We left to get something to eat and came back and played some more. The arcade games were so much fun, the history was interesting. Friendly staff. Can’t wait to go back.

My family and I were in New Jersey for a few days to visit Six Flags. While searching for other things to do, I came across the Silverball Musuem. We visited on a Monday morning when they opened and had a fantastic time playing on all of the machines! I played the same pinball game that I had played throughout my youth, I think I had tears in my eyes while playing. It was surreal! All of my favorites from growing up were there, even Space Invaders. My teens enjoyed it as well. I wish we had more time to stay longer, but we enjoyed every minute we were there!!!
If you like pinball or video games, you will love it here. Try the ones from the 50's. So awesome that they have several there!!

Great place with all the machines from all the years when pinball was king. Great place to take photos, I love this place.

Vintage pinball and arcade machines. Pay per the hour for all you can play. They have stools for little ones to stand on and lots of seating area.

But it's more than a little awesome. Well-curated and maintained collection of old machines in a clean facility. The display cards on top of the machines are particularly nicely done. This is four stars rather than five only because the pass throughs are kind of tight and the room can get very, very noisy. The half day pass is a great value, and it's a really fun way to spend a couple of hours.

Can't believe they have so many classic pinball and arcade machines in one place. $7.50 for half hour, $10 for an hour.

Pinball Happy Place for all ages. I try to get there whenever possible. the honesty of playing pinball, banging on the sides, and watching the ball for the high score is classic entertainment and bliss. Very clean and Great attendants to remedy issues.
My hometown favorite.

I attended a birthday party at the pinball museum. The space had been booked for 2 hours for the party. You could play any game and so of the really classic ones are amazing. Good price for the event and also a great experience for the kids to see the "original video games".

Loved the place! You may go inn and look around. No charge, but it cost you if you want to play. It is a neat place.

This place is wonderful! The games and electronics are from EVERY era and all the machines are in excellent working order. It's a trip back in time for some of us *ahem* to play Pong and PacMan, but there are people of all ages here. It's especially great for a rainy day or when you need a break from the hot sun. You pay one price to play by the hour and they have lots of variations available. This place alone is worth a trip to Asbury.

So much fun, time went by so fast! Not many people there,it was the middle of a weekday. We will definitely go back.

This place is awesome, especially for pinball lovers!!! So many different games, genres, and eras! The fact that you can basically play unlimited games for a by the hour fee is freaking amazing! I think it was about $7.50 for a half hour and $10 for an hour.

So I'm older...but I was having as much fun in this place as young kids. A must visit if you love vintage video games and pinball. It was like visiting a museum and you get to use the King's toys....amazing. L O V E D it...

This was such a fun place. I paid a single fee and played for as long as I wanted...jumping from machine to machine. I love that there is signage above the machines showing when they came out and a bit of history. I had the best slice of pizza I've had in a LONG time.

What a great distinctive experience on the boardwalk in Asbury Park. Pinball machine back to the 1930's with old fashioned numerical counters. The simplicity is charming and I didn't miss the multiple bells and whistles. The machines are addictive. Bring the whole family.

FUN, FUN, FUN but you have to like pinball. There are other games, too, but the majority of the entertainment is the pinball machines that you can play over and over again for the specific time paid. I've gone here a few times and will return again.

Awesome place. Pay by the hour, not by the game. So many classic arcade games in addition to classic pinball games

Ok so the concept is really cool. Pay a fee, $50/hour for 2 adults and 2 kids; and then play all the pinball or old style video games that you can in that time frame. Cool idea. But it’s super dirty. Really crowded. And the AC is barely working so it’s really hot inside. And they are cooking pizzas so that adds to the temps. I wouldn’t go back again.

I first went to this "museum" (more about the use of quotes later) a few years ago when some friends who are pinball machine aficionados insisted. First, it is not a museum. Located right on the Asbury Park Boardwalk, it is a hands-on game arcade that is an experience in nostalgia. None of the vintage pinball machines or ski-ball games take money. Instead, patrons pay by the hour ($12.50 for one hour or $15 for six hours) or for the whole day ($25). It is a great deal of fun and an eye-opener for youngsters who don't think games can be fun without a screen. It is a super place for a kid's birthday party. The management was just wonderful to us. Even though there is a cafe-snack bar, they allow outside food and had no problem with our bringing in kosher pizza and ice cream.

Fantastic experience with all the arcade game I grew up with. Huge amount of pinball games from various decades. Plenty of classic video games. Well worth your time. Highly recommended. I will return

The Silverball Museum in Asbury Park is a prime example of what a retro pinball and video game “museum” should be. Everything is playable, well maintained and loved with facts and high score charts for almost every game and pin. You pay based on the time you plan to spend inside so it’s free play based on your play style. Food and drink are available and it’s clean and the folks working there are friendly. You really couldn’t ask more!

The Silverball Pinball Museum is very fun and has a lot of games. I wouldn't really say it is a museum-they let you play all the games. Very fun and brought back a lot of memories. They have Wizard of Oz pinball, baseball pinball, and lots of others. They also have arcade games. You buy a wristband, then walk through and have fun! Great time for anyone who likes pinball and arcade games!

We did the Boardwalk on a Wednesday in July. Got to Silverball around noon. My wife was an observer, I bought a 6 hour pass. This allowed us to check out the boardwalk at our leisure, while returning to play pinball 3 times, a couple of hours total. It was cool inside and never very crowded. Occasionally I'd wait for a game I wanted to play (Fireball), but not for long. Great selection of games of all kinds. Playing the old games was great fun, having a totally different feel. Later in the day it got a little more crowded. Perhaps a little warmer. But by then we were moving on. I couldn't recommend this place more highly.

We came to the asbury park boardwalk over Labor Day weekend. It was a little windy to keep the little on the beach, so we walked the boardwalk. We came upon the arcade and my husband was so excited. $14 for an hour and $7.50 for a 1/2 hour. Felt pricy, but all the games are free. There is air hockey, puck bowling, pinball machines, skee ball, arcade machines, among others. We would totally do this for a kids b-day if we lived closer. BYOB too!

I spend about four hours here. It was GREAT. Old pinball machines, video games, and other attractions. There has to be something here that you will love. Will spend more time here when I return next year.

What a terrific way to spend a day at the shore especially when it's not "shore weather" (ie winter)!. We bought the half day pass and spent as much time as we wanted playing the wide variety of pinball games. Took a break for some lunch in town and came back for another round of pinball. We played our favorite game from college (even better because we were visiting college friends) and found some new favorite games among the older versions and from the newer digital/electronic games. I suspect if we had come in the summer it would be more crowded at times, but would provide a good break from the sun on a beautiful summer day. Well worth the time and cost. The owners have maintained the machines well and provided some history for many of the machines. When I reported a machine that was not working the owner promptly checked it out, fixed it, and it was back in operation quickly. Highly recommend this attraction. No parking specific to this business, but lots of public parking in the area.

Was interested in playing at this arcade until I saw you had to pay a high rate, I believe it was $15 for a half hour, just to get in. I'm used to only paying to play.

If the kids get tired of the beach, this arcade is a fun distraction. Lots of old school games that adults will remember and can share with kids. Don't get sucked in to long but stay long enough to get your money's worth!

We found a really good deal online, for half day passes, which ended up costing much less than buying there. Full price would still be worth it, though, as you play so many games while there. We went early on a rainy day so it wasn’t crowded at all. I think it gets crowded later and on weekends.
Have to say, I was kinda interested in going, but not that much - so my expectations were actually blown away. I LOVED the selection, i loved reading the write-ups above the machines, seeing the year they were built and how many were produced was so cool!
Additionally, playing the older pinball machines was really cool, because you got to appreciate the technology for that time period. I’m typically not a big fan of “how things work” but I was thoroughly impressed with seeing the technology and cultural differences between 1960’s, 1970’s, 1980’s etc through now....
We had time constraints, so had to leave, but after 2.5 hours, I could have easily stayed another few hours and would’ve continued having a lot of fun!

Had a blast playing games from my youth. The place serves pizza and hotdogs and made me feel like a kid again, priceless.

My hubby and I had a little weekend getaway and Silverball Pinball Museum was on the list amongst other attractions. Let’s just say we blew off the other attractions because this place was fantastic. The price for 6hrs. of fun only $15.00 too. You really can’t beat it. I don’t know about the younger generation but I’m in my late 30’s and this transported me back to my teenage days hanging out in the pool hall playing video games, air hockey and pinball every weekend. My guys favorite video game was Galaga and my favorite was Frogger. We also both really loved the skee ball and air hockey table. Such a great time. Can’t wait to come back.

Great value. Unlimited playing on any machine for an hourly rate. Machines from the very first pinball machine through the 60s, 70s, 80s Asteroid, pac man, defender, breakout. So fun!

We ventured to Asbury Park especially to visit this arcade. That's really what it is, and while it has more recent video games, we were solely looking to play pinball. Ranging from the old and simple to more modern, we had our choice of a ton of machines for 6 hours! It was bliss for those of us who grew up with pinball machines. We also received wristbands which enabled us to leave, walk the boards, have lunch, and return. There is a small snackbar and an assortment of candies for those who want to stay. We chose a day when we expected to find it least crowded; school was still in session and not yet the "summer season." I expect it gets crowded though. Parking was plentiful, and we were able to park on the street at a reasonably priced meter which we fed once behind the museum. There's also a lot across the street.

Lots of pinball machines from 1950-2010's also skee ball, air hockey, a few target gallery machines, pitch& hit baseball machines.
Great place to play for an hour or so-maybe the kids would want more.
They serve food too.
We would go to play again-lots of fun and a machine to play made when you were young.

This has old world pin ball games. It is a lot of fun. You can play from one up to a full day. Great for kids and adults.

Our family loved our time here. We closed the place down trying to beat our high scores. Brought back so many memories too seeing the retro arcade games. Lots of fun. Thank you!

This place is a ton of fun if you remember the space port in any mall. The arcade...ah yes, that place where you would hang out and play your favorite games. Guess what? They are all here. Asteroids, Centipede, Mata Hari, Kiss, Pac Man etc. What a great way to spend the evening. One price after 5pm. Why not give it a try?

If you are prepared to spend the day in a hot suffy place waiting forever to play a game because the child playing it just keeps playing new game after new game even after you have asked to play next, then waste your time and money here.
what a scam - for $15. you can play all for 6 hour - IF you can get on a game you actually want to play. Even if you did play for 6 hours every game that was open it is highly unprobable that you would spend $15 in quarters as an adult.
I love pinball but I wanted to play some arcade games too, I guess the best advice - Go when germy, impolite kids are in school. I'm sure the adults that come to enjoy & play during school hours would be much more polite. We drove up from Pennsylvania, it was a bit over an hour & in 3 hours I played 7 games, Seven in four hours for $15 - Not what I or my husband or our 2 friends would call a good time. And do not misundertand me, if we could play what we wanted even with a wait - $15 is not too much money but I can't begin to explain the down right rudeness of these kids & teenagers. And there is no one there to say anything to, the girl working looked like a teenager herself. And I do not dislike children, I have 3 grown & 2 granbabies, I get it kids are kids. But when an adult says that they'd like the next game and they are blatently ignored more than once by more than one kids its borders on insolence. It was not just myself, but we all tried to play air hockey, we all tried to play a few arcade games.
I cannot begin to explain how hot & stuffy it is in this very small place where games are crammed in. It was great to see the old games from when we were younger but we all tried to play air hockey on the one table in that time and it did not happen. Nor did Ms.Pacman. So if you LOVE Pinball and Pinball only GO but I don't know if its worth it. I did see that people over 50 get a 20% discount on Tuesdays so thats something. It didn't help because non of us are 50 or could possibly be free on a Tuesday but I am sure it is awesome for locals.
Great way to waste away the evening!
If you asked me on Sunday morning, I would not have been able to tell you the last time I played Mrs Pac-Man - but now I know for sure, Sunday evening, 7-29-18. What a great time - classic pinball machines up and down every aisle, classic 80’s games like Pong ... we had a blast.
