The view was stunning! Go right before sunset. The lines were not very long at that time. The price is very reasonable.

A great way to view the beach and city. Air conditioned, large glass gondola.
We purchased the photo/ticket package beforehand so we have a pic of the two of us to remember a great trip ( plus it was a discount!!)

Had a great time on the wheel, fun to see the city/shops and water below, wished we could go around a bit longer, but who wants things to need when your having fun! Lol No wait to get on, reasonably priced, perfect for any age, you are fully enclosed so you can enjoy at any time of the year!

It is only day 5 of reopening and the staff is taking extra precautions for their guests. The gondolas were clean and sanitized after every use. There are great social distancing practices being implemented. This was a terrific experience.

We had been on the SkyWheel a few years ago but this time we were able to take out youngest Granddaughter, Mackenzie. The views are awesome and she really loved the ride.

This was fun, but the price for a Ferris wheel ride was a little steep (20 per person). The weather was nice, so we got good boardwalk and promenade views.
BUT
The cars are climate-controlled, which is nice. I was worried a little about rocking (I get motion sick), but I was fine.

Plenty of time to get a good look in all directions in an air conditioned gondola! Smooth ride with great views! It’s a little pricey but you’re on vacation!

I was very interested in the skywheel as it was mentioned "it was the thing to do". Nothing against the staff, but I was expecting more thrills, better lighting (compared to pics). Also, the small windows were open on the pods, allowing for water to enter the pod. I guess it rained earlier, but you would think they would be closed so that people don't get dripped on while riding.

I've ridden the SW several times and really enjoy the views. AC (or heat), safe and great views! I always get great shots of the Skywheel!

Let me start by saying, I am afraid of heights, but enjoy going on rides like this. It is a very tall ferris wheel with enclosed pods. Prior to booking this, I thought it was like the one in vegas where you can stand up and there are very large pods -- no, not even close. Which is my bad for not looking closer, but not a deal-breaker.
We paid $55 for a family of five. The wheel completed four rotations while we rode on it, which was great, we thought it would only be like one or two, so that was a pleasant surprise. You can definitely see the beach, Broadway at the Beach in the distance, and the ocean. We went during the day, I am sure it looks beautiful at night too since there are so many pops of color in the area. it was nice, but I don't think I would go on it again.

Went to a gender reveal last night. Yes, wheel is closed to ride, but it was supposed to be a great way to do this reveal - it was not. No one came out to let them know where to "stand" to see wheel change. No one announced anything - it was guess when it would happen. There was absolutely no customer service. We stood in a grassy area, waited (and hoped it would happen) and the wheel changed with no sound, music, employee. How can they charge money for this "service". Horrible experience.

Great view of course. The line moved fast enough. It was comfortable and we all enjoyed it. We had 5 and plenty of room left. Well worth the walk down there and check out the other attractions in the same area.

Beautiful day and night! Easy access and next to the boardwalk along with tons of shops and restaurants. A definite must see attraction.

The slow movement gives plenty of time to look around and it is VERY TALL. I think it would be great at night, however that time frame did not work for us.

Great views but horrible lines to wait in to get tickets.
Daytime views are better than nighttime, but it's cool seeing the lights at night.
It's a little spendy for 4 rotations, but honestly, will do it again when I'm there next

This is something worth doing. Some bars and restaurants in the area. Overall the area has a lot of potential but is getting a little run down.

Nice time on the sky wheel. the views from the top are quite stunning, across the ocean and you can see the layout of all of Myrtle Beach. You get about 5 revolutions, which takes about 15-20 minutes I seem to remember. The price is ok and the line wasn't too long when we went in December. Staff are courteous and efficient - safety seems good. Nice trip - recommended.

The Myrtle Beach SkyWheel ride makes 4 turns which is good.
You get a great view of the beach, the boardwalk and the surrounding area. The ride takes you 200 feet into the air - it's a BIG Ferris week.
There are stops to add new passengers but it moves along.
The cost is $15 for adults and kids are a little less. It's not cheap, and we only did it because it's the famous Ferris wheel in Mrytle Beach.
For visitors, it's worth doing once.

The Skywheel is an eye-catcher in Myrtle Beach. I have ridden it a couple of times and I can say it is nothing extraordinary. The view is nice, the cars have AC, and the wheel lights up beautifully at night. But it moves very, very slow! Also, the staff is not the friendliest.

Employee seemed a bit over the whole idea of managing the outside of the wheel, got there 15 minutes early and waited 15 minutes after to go through back entrance than boarded and enjoyed our 30 minutes of ride time plenty of free ridding

The sky wheel seemed to be the only thing running in the area of all the attractions. Every place with parking, you had to pay to park.

Well worth the price of admission. Be sure to ask for senior rate if you are over 65. It doesn't show on their price list but they do give you $2 off. You can see it all from the top of this wheel.

A must do. A separate car for your party. We timed it with the sunset.
4 times around.
Got a Groupon to save a few bucks and it was easy to use

Nice view from the wheel. A little overpriced ($15 pp) I guess it is better to find a coupon for it.

The Skywheel is a must when you visit Myrtle Beach! Its last about 10 Minutes, so you can take awesome panoramic photos of the ocean! It is not scary it's very relaxing and offers such gorgeous views and is worth it.

I would recommend this adventure to everyone. It's very safe yet you have such views from up high some may think it's frightening but i barely noticed the height. They give you plenty of time to see the views. we started before sunset and were able to see the sun go down, I would do it again. It was a good value.

My three year old grandson absolutely loved the sky wheel. We were all enthralled with the beauty of the beach and surrounding area. The ride is well run, comfortable and felt safe.

Kids loved it. They talked about seeing for miles. Wasn't scary even for the 6 year old. I feel man at the ticket window could have been nicer.

The sky wheel was huge I loved the colors and the over all experience was great definitely worth the money and the view was amazing

Appreciated the air conditioned gondola on a hot day! Nice ride with great views. We rode in early evening, around 7:00. Don’t park in the over priced parking lot directly across from the venue. I drove one block over and paid 75% less for parking. Definitely a must do activity when you’re in the area!

My family and i loved riding the Skywheel! It's beautiful and quiet and serene and you are 200 feet above it all at the top...go for it!!!

Rode it twice while in MB, once at night, really great experience. Staff was very friendly. Price of admission was nominal.

Gene at the customer service booth was very nice. I bought the picture package as well. Didn't have to but, what the heck, I was on R & R. They are Veteran friendly. I got a very good ride. 5 revolutions instead of 4. The entire staff is great. They were cleaning and painting. I was walking by 9 days in row during my stay. Outstanding attraction for Myrtle Beach.

This was amazing!! The view is breathtaking! The attendants were very kind and waved each time we went by them. They even put a special "happy anniversary" banner on our photos.

Lightening in the distance made this ride spectacular. On a Friday night, we barely had to wait 10 minutes to board. I think the ride lasted at least 15 or more minutes. The view was great and you get an enclosure all to yourself.

The Wheel is consistently a fun worthwhile ride. The amount of time is generous, although tickets are a little pricey. The views are outstanding and the staff seem genuinely to enjoy their work. We’ll be back next time!

This place was amazing and so close to the Palace Resort! My wife and I had a terrific time with the grand kids

This was so great. It was alittle rainy out and the pods were wonderful and warm and the view was just awesome.

Just returned from New Years at Myrtle Beach and the one thing my 3 yr old grandson wanted to do was the Skywheel. Was pleasantly surprised that he enjoyed the entire ride without getting freaked out and wanting off. You are enclosed and while our ride was on a cool and rainy night, the enclosure was heated and comfortable. While in the Myrtle Beach area, it is a must to experience "The Flight"!!

The Sky Wheel was fun. We had a nice view of the ocean and the restaurants and shops in the area. We only chose to ride once but for only five dollars more you could have unlimited rides (might have done that when our kids were younger).
If you like riding these types of things (we have ridden the London Eye and others) then I recommend it.

Cost 9 a person it is worth it. The issues are parking 10 dollars an hour to park. Great view and airconditioned seats. Great way to still a kiss.

The view is amazing, but please save the money and go during the day. Stand on the beach to see the sunrise. You think you're going to get something really special in regard to food and coffee, but it's far from that period and about 4 times the price.

This was pretty cool! It was fun to see the area from up above. But the price is high for 4 times Around on a Ferris wheel. I saw something afterwards that you could go up in a helicopter for $20 which is about the same price.

Using a camera for night pictures is easy because the wheel is moving so slow. Wish the glass was clean. Enjoyable.

We did the 6 am ride to view the sunrise. The views are amazing from the top and, altho it was a bit cloudy, we did get awesome pictures of the beach, pier and sunrise. The enclosed cars are comfortable and have climate control in each of them. It was a slow, leisurely ride that lasted a half hour.

Perfect when it was so wet out. The little pods have their a/c and heat and just made it so comfy. The best views of Myrtle.

Access to the SkyWheel is very easy as there is plenty of parking near by and it’s within walking distance of most places. Even our resort was only 1 mile away. The view is amazing, especially at night with all the lights. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone. Tickets are affordable for an amazing experience.

Fun tourist attraction in MB. Goes around a few times and offers gorgeous views of the ocean as well as great views of the rest of the city. Would recommend for first time visitors!

If you are not afraid of highs - go for it. For me it was an instant regret- I kept my eyes closed and I held on to the seat with all my might, told my son not to move during the first round. I was so scared. Once it went around the second time I got more relaxed, I opened my eyes, unclenched my teeth and enjoyed the view.

My husband and I enjoyed our ride on the sky wheel. We were there in the offseason (February) so there were no lines. The "buckets" are heated so we were comfy for our ride(it was chilly out). The view was great. Would recommend!

Looked really fun but I am cautious of heights. We took the ride and had a really fun time. You are up really high but I enjoyed every minute. Smooth, comfortable cars with air conditioning. The ride moved at a slow pace. It stopped several times with us on top and the view was amazing. Definitely worth the experience.

Expensive, probably better at night. Friendly staff, short wait time. Experience once but not going to repeat.

Nice long ride.. Nice view from all angles. team was very friendly. Didn't like that the picture machine was broken.

Great experience! We rode the Sky Wheel at night with our 7 year old granddaughter. The staff was friendly and informative. Of course they want to sell photos at the end.

Expensive for what it is, but it's a smooth ride, cool inside the enclosures and enables great views of the area. It's not something I would do more than once, but it's a nice experience to try once.

The sky wheel was nice! It is a beautiful view directly over the ocean and the city of Myrtle Beach too. My granddaughter was so excited! They also take pictures prior to your ride and have them available for purchase immediately following your ride.

Great for the family. It was a little tight with three adults and three small children, but we al had a blast. The wheel goes around 4 times before they let you back off. The view from the top was great!! My only complaint, it seemed a little pricey for the 6 of us for the time we were on it (about $70).

5 out of 5. Cool thanks to the ac. Beautiful view of the ocean. Cute for family or date night. The price is also reasonable and worth it.

The SkyWheel is a lot of fun and such good views along the ride. A must do for anyone who has not done this. We were here this time in January with a friend who had not been on and she had a good time. We also got a Groupon (always check Groupon for deals!) so it cost $18 for 2 to ride. Even with the cloudy day we had, it was a lot of fun. Plus the advantage riding this time of year is no lines! Right on and about 7 compartments were full, including the VIP compartment which has a glass floor and leather seats. We did not ride that one but was fun to see folks enjoying it.

We took our daughter up at sunset over March break. The price is ok, You get to stay on for 4 rotations of the wheel. The view from the top was great!

Its a fun ferris wheel thats good for all ages. It looks big from the ground below but you don't notice how truly MASSIVE it is until you're at the top overlooking the ocean on one side and all of Myrtle Beach on the other.

It was just something we had to do. It's absolutely beautiful at night and we stayed right beside it. But could do without it. Went on this right after the slingshot so it was lacking excitement.

I highly recommend taking a ride on the Skywheel. The ocean smell, the view, the romance. It's worth it.

Loved the ride. My husband, my sister and her had really enjoyed this ride. I would recommend this ride to all my friends

This is a big Ferris Wheel with Cars that you can sit in. It goes pretty high and moves really slow. The line is kinda long but it’s a pretty fun.

The views are amazing. You can see for miles. Was on the bucket list worth every mile n dime spent employee's were very friendly

The view up there is amazing my 4 year old was adamant about riding it.He was so excited and enjoyed every minute of it...and the pics u get the pics at the end of the ride but then their priceless..

The sky wheel wasn't there!!! My son and I were there last year and wanted to ride but closed before we got tickets. I told him that we would come back and ride it but it was gone. He was so disappointed 😞.

We were in the area and took a quick spin around the area which includes Myrtle Beach sky there was a pretty good group in area doing there social distancing and behaving nice and clam

I think it was over priced. They were enclosed seats with poor A/C, so we were glad we didn't try it in the summer. It was fun to be above everything and we took some nice pictures from up there.

I really enjoyed looking over the whole beach front from high above. The cab was cool and comfortable. Lovely experience. Wait wasn't long either.

Obviously just a basic Ferris wheel but it’s so nice to see Myrtle Beach from above! It was $15ish for an adult which might be too much just for a few circles around but worth it. Fits maybe 4-6 people in each pod, they also have AC! Definitely cool to see!

Spectacular views. Must see! I would definitely recommend trying it out. We’ll worth the price. Great location in the heart of Myrtle Beach.

We absolutely loved going on the Ferris Wheel. The kids loved it so much they wanted to go on several more times. The employees were all so nice. This made our vacation so much fun! The price was a little expensive but worth it.

Great view of the beach and boardwalk. Buy your tickets online so that you don't have to wait in line.

Overall amazing experience. Definitely worth taking a visit too. We got the VIP package and missed the ride due to the weather. Went the next day and ended up having to wait a bit but got to ride after another VIP. Very friendly staff, and outstanding customer service. And the views were amazing.

It’s such a beautiful view from up top of the Skywheel. Friendly staff, easy to get in and out. Not expensive at all.

I purchased a groupon deal while visiting MB over valentine's weekend. Approx. 50% savings. It was a cool experience for wife and I. Her idea of a ferris wheel is the exposed bench seat with a bar over your lap. I assured her this was different and better; an enclosed windowed capsule. And since in mid-Feb it was chilly in the mid 40's, enclosed was the way to go. The 2 of us enjoyed the great view from within the climate controlled capsule pod by ourselves and had a great 15-20 minute ride, 4-5 revolutions plus waiting for unload, reload. Maybe next time we'll bring the grand-kids. Also - we got lucky and found a parking space on the street 1 block away. Otherwise local parking lots can be somewhat predatory.

It was rainy but they couldn’t help it. What made me nervous was the zip ties and all of the rust. Overall okay.

Great view of the area and sea shore! We loved the skywheel and highly recommend going on this. The line moves very fast.

We rode the SkyWheel twice during our stay. Once in the morning and once close to midnight. It was a nice experience with a great view of the beach and strip. Would definitely recommend! It goes around 4 or 5 times per ride.

It’s probably not fair to call the SkyWheel a Ferris Wheel. The fully enclosed gondolas have air conditioning and provide a spectacular view of the ocean, boardwalk, beach, and downtown area. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. The price was reasonable given it’s a tourist attraction ($14 for four rotations). We recommend it.

It was pretty great! The view is just amazing! The cars are air-conditioned so that is nice! You can see everything from the top! We liked watching the bungee jump thing across the street.

What Fun! We booked the VIP car, so our ride lasted for 30 minutes. The view was amazing and the experience relaxing. The photo at the end was a wonderful souvenir to remember the day! And the ride operator was entertaining and personable.

While visiting Myrtle Beach, my wife and I decided to take a ride on the SkyWheel. We are glad we did. For about fifteen minutes, we rode the twenty story SkyWheel for five rotations and enjoyed the beautiful views of the ocean, beach, and boardwalk. It was very smooth, climate controlled, and comfortable. We also got a discount by using Groupons. Instead of $14, it was $9 a ticket.

Amazing panoramic view of Myrtle Beach area with air conditioned seating! You won't be disappointed, must see for yourself!

There was three of us in one car. One of the girls with us almost started to get sick before we made it to the top. The young men that staffed it immediately noticed and pointed for us to push the emergency button but the girl said let’s keep going. The young men would check on us as we came around. I was very impressed by the employees. The ride went slow and had great views. If you are not afraid of heights I highly recommend this ride. They are clean and don’t smell and appear to have good ventilation in each unit.

Staff were incredibly nice and the views from the skywheel were incredible. I suggest getting there first thing in the morning if you want to enjoy a longer ride session.

Really enjoyed the ride. Had to drag the kids on but afterwards they loved it. Great view of Myrtle Beach!

My kids and I loved the sky wheel. It was the perfect length and such an amazing view. There was no line so we were able to get right on the ride.

Ahh man the view I must say from the sky wheel are great my 4 year son wanted to get on so bad so of course after him telling me God will protect us well that just left me with no choice other than to concur my fear of heights and I’m glad I did the ride was great you go around 3 time for a 12 minute ride (I let them know I was nervous when boarding and they told if I wanted to get off just hit the button) so as we were coming down from the first round I hit the button and they were very nice about. Overall the experience was great and I’m glad we did it we also bought the pictures they took of us before boarding the wheel

Enjoyed the ride! Beautiful scenes, purchased tickets online so got in very quick. Kids loved it, cleaned before and after each group riding

A little pricey but great views of the beach and a comfortable air conditioned cabin. Kids enjoyed the ride and too tons of pics.

The ride was just a little bit scary as the wheel started to move up the first go-round, then as we felt more comfortable we started taking in the beauty of the views and taking pictures. The other three rounds were just fun. The price is about right for a 12 mins ride.

Loved this experience! It was a beautiful day and you can see forever up there. We would recommend doing this. If you do this first and then dine next door at the LandShark, you'll get a $25 food voucher.

It’s pretty pricey. $20 a person but small kids are a bit less. I spent a pretty penny just to get on this wheel. It was beautiful and stunning and scary. Especially when we started hearing noises. But it apparently wasn’t anything important. My four year old loved it so did her grandpa! It’s a great experience and a great chance for amazing pictures of the beach and the ocean.

You HAVE to do this!!!! Even if you are afraid of heights (I am so scared of heights), this is well worth it!! The staff there are so very friendly, they will help put you at ease!! I almost didn’t do this and I am SO happy I didn’t chicken out!! The service from the staff is super amazing and they will answer any questions you have!! You may even see some dolphins too!! If you get the chance to go for the sunrise one on Sat morning- it is well with it (they do this a few times a month, you can view it in the schedule on their website). Yes it is early, but when I say you won’t regret it, I promise you won’t!! The views are so beautiful, you can get some great pics, and it’s just a very cool experience! I cannot say enough about the staff there, and the customer service they provide !! Really and truly you HAVE to go and do this!!

Took the wheel at night - pleasant rides - 5 rotations. Get the groupon and save $2/ticket - adults $18, seniors - $16

My husband and I have ridden this thing once before and we loved it so we had to stop again during our recent trip to Myrtle Beach. They offer discounts for seniors, age 65 and older and for Horry County residents and there are $1 off coupons available but you have to redeem them before 5 p.m. Otherwise if you pay regular price for two adults it's just under $30. The ride lasts between 15 and 20 minutes. The views of the ocean and downtown Myrtle Beach are great! One of the few downfalls is, if you visit during a busy time, you may have difficulty finding a parking space, unless you're lucky enough to be staying at one of the hotels close by, then it's within walking distance. See my attached photos

Great experience.
Friendly staff.
Should clean the glass windows in the air conditioned cabin.
Length of ride good for the price

My 5 year old loves ferris wheels, so we had to visit the sky wheel. We all had a great time, and of course had some excellent views. The staff are very friendly and courteous, and they were wiping down and sanitizing each car as folks exited the ride.

I have been on it 3 times now. It’s something you have to do in Myrtle beach. Definitely the best view. They are cleaning and sanitizing after every ride.

This was such an awesome and relaxing ride. Would highly recommend this to anyone. It was quiet and gave a great view of the Myrtle Beach area.

Nice all ride, not too short with great view of the ocean. Cab is all windows with more view angles.

Went for the first time and purchased a flight and dine ticket for land shark after you get off. It was $15 extra and you got a $25 food and drink voucher. We asked the guy selling us the tickets how it worked and so we were like yeah we will take that. He sold it to us at 10:34 pm by the time we waited in line and rode the ride it was after 11 and the Resturant was closed. I had specifically asked if it will still be open when we get off and he said yes. We get off walk into land shark to grab some drinks and appetizers and they let us know they are closed. I can’t get ahold of anyone there I’ve also googled customer service and NOTHING! Worst experience.

Go at dusk or before 5 PM to use five dollar off coupon. Lines increase as it gets darker.
It’s like six people could cram in there but in off-season they will give you a whole car with two.

its fun but way high! you can really enjoy the scenery from a birds eye view. worth the wait, there was a line.

This was so much fun! I was a little nervous it would be hot, but the air conditioning worked beautifully, and it was very comfortable. There is a button you can press if you want to get out, which is a nice feature. I thought it was very reasonably priced, and couldn't believe how many times we got to go around. Views were awesome!

The view on this was wonderful, as long as you're not afraid of heights. A little pricy, but worth it.

We stopped at the skywheel while walking down the blvd. It was perfect with the a/c and the views are fantastic.

It was kind of hard to see out towards the ocean and I had wish it would of actually went around a little faster, but over all it was fun!

We welcomed the cool air of the cars after walking in the summer heat. Staff was pleasant and the ride was very smooth and offered a nice view of the beach and boardwalk.

We rode on the Skywheel on a Sunday lunchtime on a very hot day. The air conditioned cars were greatly appreciated. The view of the beach, piers and the neighbourhood is fantastic.

Great time no really long wait. Love going down the walking the grand strand. Definitely recommend. Go down in the evening and park right behind ripleys attractions.

What a great weekend
This is pricey but worth the experience
It's a quick ride and very safe.
My niece and nephew really liked it

Got a good ride on the sky wheel more than I have on the ones in Seattle and Chicago. We went around several times and during the loading got stopped at the top and was able to get great photos. Price to ride is on the high end but it is a tourist attraction. It was in line with other sky wheels I have been on.

Took pics at beginning...20 bucks for the package..ours turned out great actually. Views were good, nice n clear views. Employees were helpful and waved as we passed by. 9 bucks a person if u do the Groupon app

You have to hop on the iconic SkyWheel if you’re in Myrtle Beach- the views are pretty amazing. Also, when you grab a ticket- make sure to take advantage of the $2 Land Shark beer! We went in February and the lines were short!

Though pricey it was worth it. We were able to see great views of the Myrtle Beach shore and as the sun set. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Nice tall ferris wheel. It's a nice ride and for under 20 dollars it's a nice view of the surrounding area. Went in the afternoon so there wasn't a big line.

Wonderful view of Myrtle Beach! The ride is slow moving which is perfect for me since I get a little motion sickness. I was fine on this ride

The views are impressive. Skywheel lights up at night, which is cool looking. It would be nice to have maybe some music playing in the car. The air conditioner was a little loud.

It was fun for the whole family ages 2 to 61. The AC in our pod was not blowing cold. It was uncomfortable on a hot afternoon. However, the view of the area was lovely.

Fun family activity. We went two different days (11 times around) and will definitely go back next time we are in Myrtle.

Skywheel was nice. Went at almost dusk, beautiful views.Very affordable thing to do with the family. Would do it again.

We ride this every time we go. Just wished it went a bit longer then 3 spins. With two of them unloading and loading.

We were impressed by the 12min ride...thats 4 times around! Wow! Safe. Air-conditioned with moveable vents. Panic button if needed. 2 huge benches inside.
Very comfortable. A must do! We loved it everytime we went up on the front side, the slingshot across the street released the riders as they rocketed into the sky on bungee cords...that was a riot!
The view all around were beautiful at night.
Now we gotta do a daytime then a sunrise!
For ones with PTSD or ANXIETY...you have the panic button if needed...but the ride is so slow and smooth that you will not have a thing to worry about!

I am scared of heights but I enjoyed this. My husband and son enjoyed as well. It was not scary great views. Cars were air conditioned. Well worth it

My wife and I took our Granddaughter, the ride it very comfortable and smooth and the view was spectacular, you can also purchase a photo afterwards

We upgraded our tickets to a VIP well worth the extra cost. We will continue to make this a yearly stop! Staff is friendly!

Loved the views from the wheel! Good ride. Went around at least 4 times. Friendly staff. Got a deal through Groupon.

We visited right when they opened and it was not busy at all. It seemed like they were keeping the pods really clean and we felt safe riding it during the pandemic. Great views of MB!

I was very nervous to go on this but made myself and my fear was conquered! Would go again maybe at night!

It was a good experience and they went around about 4 turns. In comparison to other ferris wheels though, it was not all that big and felt dated. Other ferris wheels in Vegas, London and even Branson are better. It is also a little overpriced.

Never made a complete round. Ride constantly stopped, to let people on and off. Very disappointed and waste of $37. I was looking forward to this the most.

Amazing views of the boardwalk and beach. We went at a busy time but it was well worth the wait and price. We enjoyed it so much we came back the next day.

Loved it and it's fun for the whole family. Beautiful views of the beach. My favorite time is to do it at night night.

My son and I enjoyed the Skywheel. The walk there on the boardwalk was fun with all the different stores, restaurants, music, and of course lovely view of the ocean.

nice ride great views air conditioned about 6 rotation friendly staff who wave every time you go by haha.

This is a great family activity! It is a great view of the ocean! Our family had a blast. We bought tickets online so we did not have to wait in line.

We enjoyed our visit to the SkyWheel. The view of the ocean was absolutely stunning. I liked that it went around six times. We have been on another SkyWheel in Niagara falls and I only went around 3:00 and wasn't as large. So this was very exciting! It's definitely worth doing once.

My date and I had the best time on the skywheel. The heated gondolas were perfect for a cold, winter night and the Myrtle Beach sunset was breathtaking. Prices are more than reasonable, too.

Up Up and Away! I wanted to do the sunset ride, but we didn't time things quite right. We bought the ticket with a $5 off the Landshark dinner. It was worth the ride. Beautiful views of the ocean and you can see for miles.

best place to see all of myrtle beach at once - price was right with our discount - well worth the trip.

Husband and I went for a ride on our anniversary! It was awesome. There wasn’t a bad side to sit on you could see everything outside from either side of the “bubble” always waved at one of the workers on our trip around the bottom of the wheel. At least he didn’t forget we were on there lol ! It was very romantic and quite enjoyable! A must do!

We had family members visiting Myrtle Beach so we HAD to ride the sky wheel. What a great view of the beach n shopping areas.

It was just a lot of money for 4 turns… $64 for parents and two teens. Staff were helpful and professional.

ALways nice to walk around, very friendly people around, nice fresh air. Plenty of resturants to choose from.

Definitely a fun activity and you get to see stunning views of Myrtle Beach. However it’s a little overpriced in my opinion for “just” a Ferris wheel ride. Staff was nice. No lines so that’s a plus too over all a good experience

We really enjoyed the ride! It was a great view. We were able to ride for an increased amount of time due to other passengers using the emergency exit. Our car was a little warm, but not awful.

My wife and son went on this. I am not a fan of Ferris wheels so I didn't partake. Those 2 loved it and it's right on the beach. When I went years back it was a great view just not my thing.

Slow easy ride, provides a good view of the beach and surrounding area. Cars are sanitized between riders and each group can ride alone.

The comfortable cars are a must if you visit Myrtle Beach. Looking over the beach from up high is a beautiful site to see.

Their website offered a $10 deal for the weekend we were there so we attempted to purchase our tickets off line but the site didn’t work properly. We tried several times with the same error code. The gentleman at the front selling tickets couldn’t tell us why it wasn’t working and informed us they didn’t take cash either. We paid with the same credit card that their website wouldn’t take. But the ride was worth the hassle. Great views just wish the site had worked since I had 3 kids and myself. It would have saved me a lot of money

check for coupons before you buy, the VIP might be worth it to be honest. Try to enjoy it and look for dolphins lol

this is a great ferris wheel! enclosed gondolas (each costs as much as a new mercedes benz!), and a slow steady ride took away the initial fear i had. this thing is 187 feet tall! great views from above. we found a discount on the online registration, so it cost about $22 for 2 people.
line moved pretty quick, and i was there on memorial day weekend. the staff running it were really friendly and i saw them waving at a kid in the next gondola. such a fun experience!

It was ok.
We went at night and the lights of Myrtle Beach at night was nice, but the sea and beach were in darkness so we could not see them.

Four rotations around to see the beauty of the beach. We did the deal 2 tickets and $25 towards food at the Land shark restaurant.

We went when the weather wasn't too great, but still had spectacular views! I would love to go when the sun is shining!

We hit the Mrytle beach boardwalk after dinner and opted to take a few rounds on the Skywheel. We love to hit ferris wheels anywhere we can and especially when we are on vacation. This was so much fun and the view along the coastline is amazing. We definitely want to go back and hop on the sky wheel during the day next time we are in MB SC. Definitely a fun time and a fun ferris wheel ride with amazing views! Oh and the sky wheel is enclosed and air conditioned.

We were supposed to get one free ride as a gift for our hotel we called the number on three different days and were supposed to receive an email after our 3rd attempt and paying for parking we were sure we would have received our email. I am so glad I didn’t purchase the other 3 tickets, they are part of a scam for a free gift that never comes through ocean reef. The woman at the window was rude and not helpful at all wouldn’t even call about our free ticket or confirm it I refused to pay for something that was supposed to be free when the staff was not helpful and rude I spent my money elsewhere.

A little pricey for a family, but the experience was good. I don't think I would go back more than once based on pricing though.

We wanted to experience the heights and we did, nice ride for the time of year,This was our second wheel , there is one big one in Florida.

We had 5 rotations on the SkyWheel on a lovely sunny day. Not for the faint of heart who are afraid of heights it food for all others. You get great views up and down the beach and can appreciate how far the sand beach runs in this part of SC. $14/ person in February. Good attraction!

This review is not about the ride, but the staff/operations. The ride offers 360 degree panoramic view of the beach/ocean - which is absolutely breathtaking!
The ground staff need some training. The woman at the ticket booth seems to be distracted and to issue tickets took 10 mins per person. There were 3 people ahead of us and took 30 mins. (no exaggeration) . There were 2 other woman trying to help her. so either she is not trained, or maybe the system suffered a glitch. The second delay was mandatory photo op! After that, 90% of the carts were empty and the staff was filling only one or 2 cart per every 6 rounds. It takes 12 mins for 6rounds (which is what one gets to experience), so waited another 45 mins before we could board. When we got down, the lines were circled on to the streets.

We wanted to ride the SkyWheel; however parking was a problem, We didn't know how long it would take to get on the ride so we didn't know how many hours of parking to purchase. Parking was also to expensive.

We loved it! Smooth ride and view was amazing! Would recommend this ride to anyone. Line wasn't long to board the Skywheel.

This was super ride especially at night. Great sights from above. Definitely a must see. Wonderful for young and old. Have to experience at least once.

Expensive, long wait to ride. Difficult to park is the area. crowded. Not a great experience. Nice to look at but not worth riding.

I'm not sure if they are doing maintenance or if it's closed for covid, but it's not up at all... completely torn down.

This was more than we expected. If you go, do the deal they offer for the restaurant as well. $25 or $50 towards food and/or drinks.
The wheel was amazing. It goes around about 4 times and goes slow so there is time to take pics and then sit back and enjoy the rest of the ride. The view is spectacular up and down the beach! Ocean as far as the eye can see!
One of the attendants kept changing noses every time we went around. He was hilarious. We looked forward to the next turn around to see what nose was next. 🤣 Must see and do while on the boardwalk.

This attraction is definitely worth it! I took my niece (23) and my 2 kids (4 and 3) on the skywheel. They had a great time. The wheel went around 3 full times, then the 4th time was when they were offloading passengers. The AC keeps the cabin nice and cool even on a hot summer day, and you will enjoy a beautiful view of the ocean/beach and the surrounding area. Just be careful to duck your head when you get in. Also very friendly staff.

The night view is worth it. We were offered but refused the pictures souvenir of the trip. Price per adult and children reasonable. There were only two taking the ride which limited the number of stops for loading and unloading. Otherwise the four rides provided a relaxful ride. Enclosed seats also were appreciated as the December weather is much colder than in the summer. Recommend as a good souvenir ... approximately 200 feet high .... and 42 seats speak for the height.

Be sure to check Groupon as they usually have a good deal. It is worth it, the view is amazing, on clear days you can see very far. Wish I had thought to bring my binoculars.

I wouldn’t say this was worth the money or time spent standing in line for the Sky Wheel. I would skip this and shop at the Gay Dolphin Gift Shop.

Really fabulous and we enjoyed a lot. We took the 7: 30 ish pm sunset one and it was sun setting on one side over the city and full moon rise on the other side over the ocean, very beautiful.

A bit pricey for a 10 minute ride but really awesome to see the area in an air conditioned enclosed car. The wheel lights up at night but we decided to go in the day to enjoy the ocean and city views.

We went on the 4th of July and wanted to see the boardwalk in Myrtle Beach. Came to the Sky Wheel and almost didn't get on because of the line. Traveler's tip...order your tickets online and show your receipt on your phone to skip the line at the ticket booth.

Good if you’ve never gone before. $16 p/p. Make sure you go during the day. At night it’s wasteful. Can’t see much. Black out by ocean.
During the day would be the best. Has AC so no problem.

The line for tickets was really long when we arrived, however it moved along quickly. Lots of hand sanitizer along the line. Comfortable, air conditioned gondolas. I was impressed that there is a "help"button inside the gondolas in case you needed assistance or needed to exit it early.
We loved the view and thoroughly enjoyed it!

This was on our list to do in Myrtle Beach for years! We enjoyed it so much, we went twice in one week! A great adventure! The weather was beautiful and clear, and the view was fabulous! We will definately do it again!

This is and extremely tall wheel. Offers awesome views of the beach and city areas. Very good price to.

We stayed Ocean Reef and walked 4-5 miles on the beach for our daily walk. Pier 14 was closed so we went to RipTydz for a beer before going on the wheel.. When we got to the place to get the tickets they offered reasonably priced beer tokens for before or after the "flight". NICE for people that may have to wait.. All workers cordial. First time we did this.. been going to Myrtle for 30 years...

We were in town for spring break again. This is an attraction we hadn't done in MB before. We took advantage of the fly & dine combo. You just check in at the sky wheel first to receive your vouchers then decide if you are going to fly or eat first. The food was pretty good. The Land Shark has patio seating. I was worried about parking but there were several locations within a block to park. Parking was pre-pay $10/1 hr or $15/3 hours and so on. We decided to stay for 3 hours. We had time after dinner and our "fly" to do some shopping at Tsunami. They had the cutest dresses, halters and swimsuits. The gals there were so helpful too. There was also an ice cream rolls place on the same block. The whole area was a lot of fun!

The sky wheel was a nice chance to see the city & ocean from a high place.
Very clean. Workers were nice enough as long as you don't ask questions.

My Husband and I rode this for our first time yesterday afternoon. The ticket price is fair. We didn't have a wait to get on and that was really nice. It is a enclosed carriage that you sit in that is big and comfortable with air conditioning! Very clean. The views of course are amazing! We really enjoyed ourselves.

We unexpectedly went to ride on the same day as Wags on the Wheel, a pet adoption event. It was a lot of fun to see all of the cute dogs and to enjoy the view from the SkyWheel.

So much fun, the cars are high tech and have AC, you get to see so much on this. Day is best to see sights and get pics of water etc, evening great to see lights or sunset.

It is Home To The Tallest Observation Wheel on the East Coast
The Myrtle Beach SkyWheel takes guests high in its 42 six-person gondolas. The ride offers an expansive view and plenty of photo ops, and the gondolas are climate-controlled for comfort.
If you’re looking for things to do in Myrtle Beach for an upcoming vacation, the SkyWheel has likely appeared on every best-of list you’ve found. This colorful landmark on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk towers over the shoreline, entertaining visitors and locals with endless views from comfy, private gondolas.
Fact: the SkyWheel is officially considered an observation wheel” because each private capsule is fully enclosed and temperature-controlled for year-round enjoyment.”
Skywheel Myrtle Beach is located at the heart of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, between North Ocean Blvd and 11th Avenue North, making it easily accessible to tourists.

It is very cool the first time - we went back again the next year and for the price would not do it again - better ways to spend your time and it is not cheap.
That said - the first time we went it was really cool and worth it.

My family and I loved getting on the wheel. My only complaint is you don't get enough time on it. Especially with the price you pay.

Decent lines and clean carriages. Must do when visiting. Price was as expected for tourist spot. Lasted a good 5-10 min.

Did the sky wheel while we stayed the first week of February. The place was not busy and I'm sure we got a few extra trips around the wheel. Was hoping to have a beverage at Margaritaville but it was closed for remodeling.

Very good view! Wait time is a little prolonged but once on, it was good! Really hope another location goes into play soon.....

The skywheel is awesome! Beautiful view Myrtle beach. We got to see everything lit up at night and $16 for riding for about 10 minutes is an awesome price! Definitely best skywheel i’ve been on while on vacation!!

The SkyWheel on the boardwalk was great value for the money, and they gave a military discount as well. The view over the ocean was spectacular.

It says you get three rounds. We got four. Views are incredible. The gondolas felt very sturdy and safe. Six tickets cost us nearly $100.

We enjoyed the slow ride of the Sky Wheel. The views were impressive. Even our kids that were not sure if the ride..enjoyed the wheel.

It was a nice ride - friendly people, very nice enclosed seats. Spectacular views! However the price was unbelievably high - Around $17 a person, like $68+tax for 4 of us for a very brief ride.

Was a beautiful view and lasted forever. Loved the lights. Definitely get the wristband for all the rides for $40

This was a great view of the beech. The staff was very helpful. Only is 12 minutes you go around 4 times but it was fun.

Loved being able to see everywhere. The air conditioned cars are fabulous. Kept very clean and clear glass to see through.

Good place with lots to do for everyone. Ferris wheel a must thing to do especially since I am afraid of heights.

The Sky Wheel was a lot of fun, despite my fear of heights! The people were friendly, and I felt safe. The views were spectacular and the ride was just long enough. Also, it's really pretty from the beach at night. I love the lights.

Try it. Nothing new I can say about a ferris wheel but this one is in such a cool location!!
The seats are enclosed. So don’t worry about the wind. Feels like a ski gondola

Thank you for making this place I say it’s amazing and all of that I looooove it it feels like my whole family goes there

Enjoyed the SkyWheel experience in Myrtle Beach! Comfortable ride, long enough but not too long, smooth and plenty to see from any angle!

My husband and I rode with our 6 year old daughter. We loved it. Great views, and the perfect amount of time.

Very pricey for a family of 4. Clean and cool "pods". Great views of the ocean. Friendly staff. Definitely better than the one on Broadway on the Beach. Worth doing once especially with kids.

Fun and reasonably priced. The gondola was roomy enough for 5 adults. It was clean and air conditioned. The ride was enjoyable even for the one person in our party who is afraid of heights! You’re so enclosed and sturdy that you don’t feel like you’re as high up as you actually are. If you are afraid of heights, it’s easy to distract yourself and not look outside the gondola when you’re stopped at the top or mid-way point.
It wasn’t crowded when we went so the line was short and the gondolas were not full.
I’d wanted to do this for 4 years! We were not disappointed.

Extraordinary view of the ocean and of Myrtle Beach - grand kids really enjoyed it and used it three times while we were there

It was quiet, clean, the staff was nice and there was a great gift shop upon exit. We went on a windy, sunny day and got great photos and videos of the ocean and area. Cute shops and restaurants all around too

The view is very good. Probably the best in MB. We've ridden the Wheel twice and both times had private cars. They've stopped our car on top each time, which really wasn't necessary. My wife loved it. Me, lesser so. We've taken flights on the London Eye at more than twice the height but it wasn't quite like a Ferris wheel as is the Sky Wheel. The car rocks a bit upon stopping. But the view is spectacular.

It was a great experience. It was really fun, you could see. The entire the beach area, it was awesome. The kids really enjoyed it.

The ride is great The scenery of the Myrtle Beach area is awesome and the ride is not too fast Everyone who takes this ride will get a great view of the beach

Rode the skywheel for the first time today with my family and I have to say it was amazing to see the views and the staff was amazing. We had a great time. Highly recommend checking this out if you haven’t already.

Very enjoyable and fun. Don’t miss it.
Nice way to see all around
No hard time to find parking and No line.

Was not thrilled a lot of hype poor views woo no go again not worth the money I have been on many Ferris wheels much better then this

For $45, two people can ride the SkyWheel and get $25 off at the Landshark Restaurant which was yummy!

The attendant was not very friendly at all. He never even spoke to us! The views were fantastic but it was a bit pricey. It was our first time to ride.

My wife and I were both terrified! Once we got started it was so smooth and relaxing! Breathtaking views!

Our last time in Myrtle Beach the SkyWheel was dismantled and being renovated. It’s back! We enjoyed the ride today as it was a perfect viewing day. The staff is friendly and the ride provides amble opportunity to take in the entire Grand Strand and the town.

My hotel is right beside the SkyWheel. I love to look out and see it from my window, especially when it is lit up at night. Ride in comfort to the top of the world -or so it seems. From the top, you get a panoramic view of the ocean and the city. There is no way to explain the feeling. I get white-knuckled as the wheel takes me higher and higher. Yet, the exquisite beauty soon takes my mind to another realm. I no longer am afraid. I am in flight, free,no longer chained to the ground. I am in the sky, above the people and the lights. Cars are tiny and stars are near. It is magical......

Great view of Myrtle Beach. Enjoyed the air conditioning and relaxing in the pod/car on a hot day. The four rotations were worth the price.

The Ferris wheel is great! So beautiful to see things from up that high. It was clean, temperature controlled and the staff were friendly. It’s about 15 minutes long which was plenty of time. Felt safe and secure.

The ride has great views but kinda spendy for the fairly quick ride. They did great with trending ppl to social distance and cleaning railings. The staff was very friendly!

Great fun for anyone and a definite must when in Myrtle Beach. The AC will cool you off and it goes 200 ft in the air. It is one of the most inexpensive attractions in Myrtle Beach and a great way to see the length of the boardwalk before sunset.

The Skywheel was very comfortable. The cars are heated or had AC, depending on the season. Seeing the outgoing storm from the top was pretty awesome. They only put guests with their own party. Great fun being up on top.

I dislike Ferris wheels, but this didn’t bother me nearly as much. The worst part was when we were at the top and more groups were loaded on and had to stay put for awhile up top. Overall, the views were lovely. Glad we went!

At the lower end of the boardwalk. 4 revolutions will lift you high up above the buildings. Nice views on clear days.

The kids could not get enough of this. They rode 3 ties in a row and it was so nice. It was a bit chilly out and the little pods have heat.

So much fun! For $37 you can get the ride plus lunch next door. A really good deal., a nice ride today as it was only 35°. Highly recommend.

The Skywheel is just a Ferris Wheel and is overpriced but it gives a good view of the city. It was clean and the staff were pleasant
.

Great for the whole family, right on the boardwalk with many other attractions. A must do if you are in Myrtle Beach.

Hubby is afraid of heights and he LOVED it! 200 Ft tall, but enclosed so not scary at all. Well worth the purchase price! We almost rode it again except our parking permit would have expired before we could get back. Will definitely ride again next time in Myrtle Beach!

$58.00 for a ride! Why on earth would a family spend this kind of money for a short ride on a Ferris wheel? Broadway at the Beach needs to make the attractions more affordable for visitors & locals alike. Until then, many will stay away & take their dollars elsewhere.

Kids had a lot of fun, I definitely was happy that it had some air blowing in. I recommend buying your tickets ahead of time though. You’ll save money and it’ll make things go a little faster in the long lines!

It was an enjoyable “flight” of about 4 times around. The gondolas are air conditioned. Great views of the ocean, boardwalk, and the strip (N. Ocean view). Comfort was good weather small or large in stature. Enjoy!! Highly recommended.

First of all, they need a cover/roof extended over the front of the line to the wheel. We were standing there for 30/40 minutes in the direct sunlight in the heat, and the wheel was not moving. There was a guy standing at the front of the wheel but had his back to us the whole time and wouldn't turn around. 40 minutes later, one of the customers in line cut through the ropes and demanded to know what was going on because the wheel wasn't moving and we were all there just standing there in the heat dripping sweat. It was only at that point that they told us the wheel was under maintenance....soooo were they just going to make us stand there all day and not tell us that???? Big waste of time. If they were just honest with us we wouldn't have been so mad, but they didn't want to tell us because they did not want to give us our money back. Boycott this place.

First time riding the skywheel. Parked in lot next to attraction. Bought regular tickets at counter. Waited 10 minutes to get on ride. Air conditioning was on. Went around 4 times. Had the option to buy pictures at the end of the ride.

Hot waiting in line but worth it. About 3 turns around ferris wheel and the view is amazing. Nothing better. Perfect location for beach and city view. Not a LOT to do in Myrtle Beach so this is definitely a highlight.

We decided to visit the SkyWheel to see the view. It was a short walk from our hotel and the weather was nice. The concept for this is interesting and it does provide a good view of the surrounding area. The view would have been a lot better if the windows on the buckets were cleaned more often. Do not waste your money on the VIP package or anything else other than the basic which includes about 4 or 5 revolutions.

If you get a coupon book for Myrtle, you can get $2 off per person. They don't take cash - credit card or phone pay only. A little pricey for a 12 minute ride - 3 times around. First time we faced the city, 2nd time we switched and faced the ocean, 3rd time we switched back to see the city. We were staying on a high floor of a nearby hotel with an oceanfront room, so the skyview view of the ocean was no better than our room view. The AC in our gondola worked great. We went the week before labor day, in the afternoon, so no line at all.

This is the highlight of the boardwalk, and it didn't disappoint. My kids loved it, and it offered a nice place to relax for a bit.

I've always been afraid of heights- but this was different. It goes slowly and smoothly, and it's not scary at all even for a big chicken like me! There were four of us in it this summer and it was air conditioned with beautiful views of Myrtle Beach and the oceanfront! Got some great pics!

Me and my daughter splurged on the VIP treatment and it was exactly what they said, we had a great time the views were spectacular and the staff was friendly and courteous! This is definitely worth experiencing even if you do the basic package, it’s a great way to see Myrtle Beach from aloft!!!!

Not to miss! Perfect for young kids and the view is also beautiful. We did the regular tickets and it took us less than 5 mins to get into a gondola.

I appreciated that each compartment was air-conditioned! It was a nice break on a humid day. I found the staff to be exceptionally pleasant. The price per adult was $14.00.

You do get good views from the top. The ride was 10 minutes, very slow. It took us twice as long to get on the thing, with no line, than our ride lasted. The tried to sell you junky photos of you "experience." I do not regret doing it, but I will never do it again.

This was my starting point for this trip to Myrtle Beach for my wife's birthday celebration. We arrived on Wednesday morning, Dec 23, and walked right on the attraction without a wait. The Skywheel gave us a great view of Myrtle Beach. As a veteran, I was/am appreciative of the discount received. This was a nice little side event.

The sky wheel was a nice ride for the area. It is really cool looking out over the ocean. They send you around 3-4 times not just once or twice. The value with a groupon was well worth it. 9.00 as opposed to 15-20 I have seen at other similar rides in tourist areas. It is nice at night when it is cooler and everything is lit up.

Absolutely amazing! I felt safe and comfortable with my two younger children. Log on their website for discounted coupons! Coupons must be used before 5pm.

loved the view. we rode it in the middle of the day and the air condition gondolas were nice. will ride it again

First time riding the SkyWheel. I view of the ocean from this height was awesome. You also get to see the city of Mrytle Beach from the air.

Yesterday's visit to the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel was a great experience. The panoramic views of the coastline and boardwalk from the top were breathtaking, but if I had to do it again I would opt to do it at sunset. The ride was smooth and comfortable, perfect for soaking in the beauty of the surroundings, I wish it had rotating carts though. The illuminated wheel added to the magical atmosphere during the evening if you take an evening walk on the beach. Whether you're seeking romance or simply want a memorable experience with friends or family, the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel is a good attraction that offers beautiful views of the entire boardwalk.

We enjoyed the SkyWheel and you should for sure do it one time just to experience it. Park behind Mammy’s Kitchen as it is only $5 for all day parking versus $10 in the parking structure. We enjoyed going to Pier 14 for lunch then riding the SkyWheel and browsing the shops on the boardwalk. I would go during the day for sure as a family because it is not an area for small children after dark.

20 Dollars for a stellar and unique view up and down the beach. If you are scared of heights the initial loading phase can be a bit unnerving as you sit in your air conditioned gondola just waiting. However once it gets going you get 4 full rotations and soon forget about anything but the view. Unlike carnival Ferris wheels they don't swing or rock much and you are completely enclosed from the elements. All the staff were quick and professional and your ride is private with your group only which is very nice. Overall they advertise a lovely view on the beach and they deliver no notes.

Great views, people are very friendly. Place was clean and not expensive . Must do to be able to see everything

You can see everything, nice and smooth ride only go around 3 or 4 times, but it stop constantly to let other people on , Tuesday is half price night

My 14 year old daughter has never rode in a ferris wheel so she got the chance to do it at Myrtle beach. She loved it and wanted to ride again but didn't. Seems a bit pricey for 4 times around, but she enjoyed it and that's what counts.

I couldn't resist. I seen it and had to get on however, don't think I'd do it again. It doesn't have the nostalgia of the ferris wheel since it's an enclosed seating pod but the views were fantastic and my kids and myself enjoyed being in the AC on the hot day.
The line to enter was long but moved quick and they take a photo of you prior to boarding with the wheel in the background that I though was nice.

Excellent views of Myrtle Beach and the Boardwalk plus the town. Yes, it's touristy but still worth it! Perfect for families, couples or solo. It's also air conditioned! Beautiful bird's eye view. Highly recommend during the day and night! Bring a coupon for $2 off (they have them in the coupon book found at all the stores) or buy a Groupon online for 35% off. They also offer military discounts. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Enjoy!

IT was really worth it the view was beautiful and i would do it again. Really recommend it.You will have the best pictures of myrtle beach.

This was a very col experience. It allowed you to get a bird's eye view of the area and just kind of reminded you of the times of your youth - visiting the state fair. And I think it was $10. You have to do it.

5 spins on this wheel is an enjoyable and relaxing ride. The price I thought was reasonable. The staff was pleasant.

great view, goes slow but we went around about 5 times. you can see for miles from the top. clean, air conditioned car with bench seats and plexiglass all around you for views in any direction.

This was neat ride. They do a good job of cleaning cars between users, so you can feel safe in the year of the COVID. View is pretty cool. It's fun at night to see all the lights, but missed seeing more ocean in the day time. Tickets are little steep, but something cool to experience since such a staple of MB skyline.

Quite expensive...but that's to be expected at Myrtle Beach. For the price I would've liked to have gotten a few more rotations. The view is very nice, the ocean is right next to it. They take your picture before you get on so they can sell it to you later. The fact that it's new (was built in 2011, if I'm remembering right) makes it feel safe.

Our family of five loved the ride! The ticket associates, and conductors were very friendly and hospitable.

First time on the redone SkyWheel due to my absolute fear of heights. It wasn't that bad. Phew. The new light show is amazing. The staff even wave to you as you come around (which was about six times).

The SkyWheel brought out the inner child in us! What a very special and FUN experience which we will do again on a future visit. I am not a fan of heights, so I was just a little bit nervous at first, but the staff were absolutely wonderful in explaining what to expect (they even have a 'panic' button that can be pushed if someone becomes frightened and wants to get off). Our enclosed, air conditioned compartment was very comfortable with benches on both sides, the ride was slow and smooth, allowing us to take lots and lots of pictures of the amazing views of the Atlantic, the pier, and the entire area around us below. They were not super busy at the time, so they did 5 rotations for us. A couple in front of us had their 6 year old son there, and it was his birthday. We got to chatting, and he was nervous about the ride. The friendly staff gave him a party hat and made him feel special. We caught up after the ride and he 'LOVED IT'. The surrounding boardwalk was super clean, very pretty with flowers, flags and very unique and fun colorful sculptures, affording great picture opportunities. We were a bit concerned about where to park our vehicle for the SkyWheel in the prepay lots, so we asked an attendant who kindly told us (we are senior citizens), that if we have a legal handicap hang tag, as long as it is displayed, we could park at any meter on city streets in the city of Myrtle Beach for FREE. That made it super easy, and it was just a short stroll to the SkyWheel. There are also convenient public restrooms on the opposite side of the street from the SkyWheel.

Had this on my to-do list while in the area. Unfortunately, I found the information on the Wednesday-only Sunrise event on Wednesday afternoon so I was unable to buy tickets for that. I waited most of the day for the sky to clear up after I checked out of my hotel just to do this before going home. Once it was clear enough I drove over and found there was no line for tickets and they gave a Veteran discount. Didn’t really want my photo taken since I was just there by myself but they insisted. Had a gondola all to myself and I believe there were only 2 others with people in them, they let us go around for about 15-20 minutes. Once I was off I saw they printed out my photo. They print out everyone’s photos even if they don’t buy them, what a waste. The exit was through the gift shop, I wanted a magnet but the majority of the items in the gift shop were for something called Landshark. I had to ask what it was, It’s a beer and a restaurant next door. Found a magnet and since I had to pay for an hour of parking I went for a walk on the beach. Nice place.

Grea5 views at night. We had great fun and it was a good experience for myself the kids. We got to see all the way down to the pier. Downtown was also great. So mant things to do from Ripley's believe it or not to the hainted adventure.

We liked the experience especially when my mother had to get off. They stopped the ride to let her and myself odd and the rest of the family continued on the ride. They were very nice about it and were quick to stop the ride for her.

They will let you have a private gondola so it is very nice! Especially during this weird socially distant time. It was great for views and you have an air conditioned ride! Loved it !

I love a ferris wheel! We got a senior discount (could have used military) and being off-season, there was only a few minutes wait. We parked a block over, on-street parking, and big bonus - no charge! - from Nov 1 thru Feb 28. Sweet! Beautiful views! Would have loved the sunrise ride but that is only available on Saturdays this time of year.

We came to the SkyWheel while on a family vacation to Myrtle Beach. Any SkyWheel is a must when on vacation. This one did not disappoint. The wheel takes 4 rotations so you are able to soak in the views in all directions. We sat on one side for 2 of the spins and the other side for the other 2 spins. It goes fairly slow so you won't get sick. The cabin is air conditioned so its also a relief from the heat and humidity. Overall a must when visiting Myrtle Beach.

If you want to see the city and the ocean all at once, do this! We had a great time. It's even wheelchair accessible, if you can transfer to the seat. They stopped the SkyWheel, and we wheeled our daughter through the pod using ramps they put on each side, parked the WC, helped her transfer, and that was it. Easy and safe! Had read you go around 3 or 4 times, but think we did 5 or even 6 total revolutions. Great fun!

Enjoyed our ride! View was awesome! Glad we went! Just wished cars were sanitized before next party boarded.

Great views of the ocean and city. Saw sun go down which was amazing. Cars moved very little. Definitely would go again. Looks great lighted up at night

We loved the Skywheel. Great views. Buy tix online and skip the line when u arrive. We walked right on. We went at sunset and it did not disappoint!!

We enjoyed the Sky Wheel Ferris Wheel. Great views of Myrtle Beach. We had a great time! If you love Ferris wheels, this is for you.

While in Myrtle Beach each year for our winter vacation we always have a visit to the SkyWheel. The ride is fun and the views of the ocean and beach are beautiful. The price is somewhat steep for the short ride you get and in the off season the wheel often only has one or two cabins occupied. Perhaps a reduced rate during the off season would bring more riders. Parking is also a problem. If you park in the pay to park lot and are not back exactly when your time has expired you will be towed. The SkyWheel is definitely not for those afraid of heights!

This was very fun my family enjoyed it it had a great view of the ocean and Myrtle Beach next time we go to Myrtle Beach definitely must go again

Took a ride far seeing it while we visited. What a great view of the beach! We went around at least 4 times and it was great. O some great pictures.

Stayed in the heart of Myrtle Beach at Holiday Inn at the Pavilion had boardwalk behind us and rides in front yet it was really quiet loved it

We got to take our granddaughter for this very special ride, she loved it! She really enjoyed the view and the crew waving as we went by! The ride was 10 minutes long and very enjoyable!

Nice ride with great views of the Myrtle Beach area. The ride moves slowly so you can enjoy the views and you go around multiple times.

Worth going on just for the view. I had no idea that all seats were totally enclosed in a see through cab. Unbelievable experience. A must do in Myrtle Beach! And it is right at the beach!

The kids absolutely favorite thing at the beach. They wanted to ride over and over again. Such a great view of the city

They had a really good promotion going. Two SkyWheel tickets with a $25 voucher for the attached restaurant for $45. Thought that was reasonable considering prices everywhere are a whole lot of over the top.
I'm not a fan of heights and this is HIGH but I did eventually open my eyes to take a look. Love the ocean and miles of beach/hotels/people.
Have to do it, it's part of the Myrtle Beach experience.
They have a panic button if you want off.

I love ferris wheels and the Skywheel met all expectations. Because I was alone, I had the gondola by myself. There were 6 revolutions instead of the 4 advertised, which I loved.

Good fun- great views. The staff was courteous and took the time to ensure they were practicing safe distancing.

Beautiful view of both the Atlantic and of Myrtle. The staff seemed very dedicated to making sure everyone was enjoying the experience while maintaining social distancing and cleanliness efforts.

My family enjoyed our mini vacation, we spent some time here enjoying the food and the beach. Beautiful and clean area .

We had such a good experience here. It's clean, family oriented and the line wasn't too long. It's a great way to get an amazing view of your surroundings!

My fiancé & I booked the all inclusive VIP package. The entire staff was smiling, courteous and just made our first experience wonderful.

We had friends in town and decided to try out the Sky Wheel. I highly recommend booking / buying your tickets online. By doing so, you avoid the ticket line when you get there. You will have to pay to park nearby.
The ride is great and the pods are roomy. We went in the daytime and really enjoyed the views.

It offers a nice view of the beach. It is climate controlled which is nice. It is a bit overpriced at $14 for 10 to 12 minute ride. They offered a $2 senior discount.
Great view day or night
Great views and worth the price after getting a coupon from our resort for one free admission. Would have been nice if the online tickets could have been scanned but they had to be written down. We had to read off each ticket one at a time. Parking was expensive but convenient.
