A Super Experience in Seattle

By Donna L |

The views from the Needle were super. The Chihuly exhibit is breathtaking. We found a tour guide and her review of everything was very enlightening.

By Jennifer L |

We purchased the city pass so we were able to go to these two attractions as well as 3 others. It was well worth the pass! We had a great time even with the rain. We got lots of pictures. It’s recommended that if you get vertigo you medicate for 30 minutes prior to going. I do get vertigo but didn’t take mine until we had already entered lol. It’s an amazing view all together. There’s a building that looks like it has 3D spiders, you can see the entire city, mountains and water. We loved it. Then we went to the glass museum. This beauty was exceptional 🩷. Located both inside the building and outside glass garden area. We took so many photos and also did some panoramas of the space needle starting with an object in the glass garden all the way to the top of the space needle. It was well worth the money.

Located in downtown Seattle, the Seattle Space Needle is overpriced but gives excellent panoramic views of the city, assuming there is no low lying city mist.

Better than I even expected

By adyingvine |

I pretty much knew what to expect, but it was better than I expected. The view is incredible, the revolving glass floor is quite an experience too... But the cameras setup with QR codes to take photos of you up there is a great idea. And the QR codes to learn more about the skyline you see is excellent too.

You get an unrivalled view of the Seattle landscape, a lovely ride up-and-down in the elevator, and there's a cafe at the top serving drinks and snacks. There's tonnes of seating and tonnes of space outside. It really is a fantastic landmark and worth everyone doing.

You have an unlimited amount of time at the top, too, which is appreciated. So everyone can take it in at their own pace.

Terrible experience gaining entry to the attraction.

By jessica j |

We arrived at 3:30 pm and were told the next available ticket for entry was 4:30. So we purchased tickets and then walked around Seattle Center a bit. We got in line at 4:20 and it was a substantially long line. A person, who works for the Space Needle, asked what time our entry was and we said 4:30. They said ok and then asked the person behind us the same question. They said theirs was for 4:45 pm. The employee asked them to step out of line and return closer to their ticket time. What this employee failed to mention was that the line we were in for entry to the Space Needle was going to be over 60 minutes! We didn't enter the actual Space Needle elevators until 5:35 pm!!!!! We had dinner plans at 6:30 pm so our entire trip was rushed because we had to wait in such a long line. I asked another employee inside the waiting area if there was a reason for this long of a wait and they said "nope this is pretty normal". Why didn't the ticket sellers tell us that the entry time on our ticket was the time we were allowed to enter the line. I couldn't see any reason for this delay besides the greed of selling WAY more tickets than they can handle for a 15 minute time spot. They have 3 elevators to the top each fitting maybe 15-20 passengers. I understand a bit of a wait, but 60 minutes from ticket time to the top is absolutely ridiculous!!! We have lived here for over 20 years and won't be returning with any future visiting guests!

Truly amazing!

By GLORIA M |

We loved the Chihuly Museum and gardens. We took so many pics! His glass works are truly amazing. I could spend hours just looking at his works.

If you have three hours to spare, do this!

By Global46892034707 |

It's the perfect combo. They are right next to each other. Chihuly's classwork combines perfectly with the Needle's views. Two different incredible sights!

Tourist trap

By Robert B |

We arrived at the needle and payed approximately $21 for two hours parking. We then walked to the needle and went to a kiosk where it was indicated we needed to pay $32.50 per person to ride to the top. That amount was bogus. The cost is $44 per person for senior citizens. With tax the cost to go to the top would be over $92 for two people. No thanks. A tourist trap.

Breath taking sights!

By Kathy S |

Great experience. Checked in at Space Needle, was able to go up then. Given info about Chihuly.
Cant say enough about Chihuly Glass...breath taking!!

By Susan T |

We only had 1 day to visit in Seattle so we toured the Space needle and Art museum. Stunning views and beautiful art. Highly recommend! A must see!

worth it to book and purchase in advance

By fozjon |

this combination ticket seems to have been a real value. We had bought the combination ticket online ahead of time. We needed to book the time for our trip to the top of the Space Needle, so this was extremely helpful. We're really glad to have visited both sites.

Night views

By Ian C |

You can go during the day, but I think it is even better to visit during the night. The sunset and views of the city lights at night are worth it.

An Art Experience in Seattle

By Isela F |

It was raining when we went up the Space Needle but the views were still quite good. We took lots of pics. The Chihuly Gardens and Glass Museum were beautiful!!! The glass sculptures were amazing I loved it. Definitely recommend.

View & Magical Garden!

By bkute65 |

Long lines but shorter for people with disabilities. You can rent a wheelchair from the Space Needle for both locations. The views are Amazing! And do NOT skip the Chuhuilly Museum. It is one of a kind and beautiful. People of all ages can enjoy them both.

MUST do in Seattle

By Harriette D |

The Space Needle is a must do in Seattle! The views from the top are phenomenal. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful sunny day. All the snow capped mountains were just stunning. Mt. Rainier in all its glory was worth the 41 second trip to the top. If possible, be in the front of the elevator with camera ready for the ride up and down.

Chihuly Garden and Glass is amazing. The colors and design are so stunning. Take your time to enjoy each piece. I only wish there were more. So incredibly colorful.

Great view point of Seattle.

By Arie F |

We went on the Space Needle before we toured the Chihuly gallery and garden. We got a combined to both . It was daytime when we went up and views were a bit grey (the November weather) but still spectacular. Visited the lower viewing area where you stand on the glass floor and look down from the needle as it rotates around. Great experience!

Above the World

By Jeri Jo S |

Purchase a timed ticket. And the combo, including the sunset cruise is the way to go. Space Needle is so impressive and while you wait to go into elevators the pictures and story of the construction is so interesting. Bring a water bottle. It gets hot in the line to the elevators. The views from the observation deck are amazing.

Worth the money.

By Rhonda S |

We went on a Friday night and it was not crowded at all. We loved every thing. It sounds like the experience might be a little different at night but still amazing.

Slight sticker shock, but honestly worth it.

By Emily K |

I didn't have this on my list of "must do"s while in Seattle. Ticket price depends on day and time, but it's roughly $45 to ride an elevator.

That said, it really is spectacular. The elevator opens on the main observation deck, and yes, the views are absolutely magnificent, but I was also impressed with the facility itself. It's very clean and modern and makes the whole experience majestic. Outside, there's a little bit of an overhang overhead, but most of the deck is open to the sky. The incredibly thick windows slant outward and must be a nightmare to keep clean, but somehow the staff manage it. Most people crowd to the south side of the tower, facing the heart of the city and the skyscrapers, but the whole view is incredible.

Downstairs is a 21+ lounge and glass floor that rotates. However, you don't need to visit the lounge to stand on the glass floor and watch the city go by around you.

FYI, there is a small bar upstairs and the lounge downstairs, but they are on different liquor licenses, so they don't allow you to buy a drink and take it downstairs.

The staff is great, everyone was so nice and friendly. And while the price seemed steep, there is no time limit except for closing time, so enjoy the view, the drinks, and the pies as long as you want (and as long as your wallet holds out).

I didn't feel the need to do this, but I'm glad my friend wanted to and talked me into it. Do yourself a huge favor and go at sunset. Even with grey skys, it's pretty incredible.

Seattle highlights

By Stephen m |

Was not overly crowded with good views. Chihuly is one of those "must see" places. The combination ticket was economical.

The Space Needle remains a perfect 10. The Chihuly Garden, unfortunately, is a classic case of style over substance.

By cluelesstraveller |

The Space Needle is an iconic Seattle experience and absolutely worth the visit. However, I was disappointed by the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit. While the glasswork is visually striking, the admission price felt excessively high for what is essentially a single, albeit large, collection. My main criticism is the practice of heavily bundling the two attractions. Forcing visitors into a combo ticket for an experience that may not be worth the standalone price feels like a poor value proposition. I'd recommend the Space Needle wholeheartedly, but suggest researching Chihuly separately to see if it aligns with your interests before feeling pressured into a combo deal.

Great as both sites are very close to each other. Worth it.

By Canucksontheloose |

The combo ticket allows you to save some money but it depends on the time of day you attend so do the math. The Space Needle has timed entry so we decided to visit it first in the morning as we wanted to take our time at the Chihuly Museum. This worked well as by the time we left an hour later, that lineup was long! The Needle was nice as there were spots along the tower where you could get your photo taken and download them later FOR FREE, which was a nice surprise and great for those who don't have good cameras. An hour is plenty of time to be up there and the elevator ride is organized (our elevator staff sang us a dirge on the way down!), the windows are spotless for picture-taking and the views are breath-taking. It does get annoyingly crowded so be patient with your photo-taking so take a time out in the pricey bar or cafe. We loved the Chihuly Museum even more, with stunning displays of twisted glass in a kaleidoscope of colours and landscapes (even outside!) that makes you rethink how glass can be reworked in such delicate detail. Good, free short tours at the Glass & Garden Museum, lovely restaurant and lots more within walking distance. If you go in May, no need to book tix in advance because you don't want to book ahead and find out it's pouring rain that day. Can buy tix when you get to the sites.

good 1/2 day activity

By Lisa V |

Must see for Seattle visitors. Great timeline history wall to read as you wait for your ride to the top. Highly recommend going on a clear day to be able to see views. Chihuly is a great experience. Beautiful works of art made from glass.

WOW!

By E Z |

Wonderful experience. Was sad that we could not see Mt. Ranier. Was a little overwhelming when it got crowded. Might suggest that you limit the amount of people on the observation level.

Seattle Excusions

By Vacationer686219 |

Good price for both stops. You can spend as much time as you wish at each. If a nice day, walk around the park and also stop at the 1962 Worlds Fair fountain.

Must visit

By Nelda H |

Beautiful exhibit! Must visit. Convenient they have a photographer on site and they make it very easy to retrieve your FREE photos.

By David N |

The climb via the elevator was great and then walking on the first observation deck with the revolving floor gave an unusual nu enjoyable feeling. The observation deck on the upper level provided excellent 360 degree view s of Seattle and the surrounding areas

By Tommy C |

I had to say this place was so very good with all the atmosphere that they had really relaxing. It was really fun getting on the elevator and learning about what made the elevator so very fast and the bestest part about it. The people were like so very nice on there. They were so very helpful and also the drink prices were were not that bad but I recommend taking a credit card just in case

Good couple of hours spent

By Chris M |

Easy access, no queues (in mid August?) clever revolving glass floor, large gift shop, glass exhibition good but not much ‘garden’.
Member of staff abrupt when telling people there were two lifts.

Chihuly was OUTSTANDING!

By Mike P |

Chihuly was amazing and well worth the visit. Beyond belief that someone could create the sculptures from glass. Space Needle was beautiful as we had a crystal-clear day and could see Mt Rainer very clearly. We visited on a Thursday morning and the wait to go up was at least 30-45 minutes. Would not want to face the weekend crowds.

Both places worth a visit and it was nice to only have one ticket to keep up with ~

By tammyjewel628 |

So we booked these together and perhaps saved a bit. If you want to do both and they are right beside each other, it's just convenient to click that one button and have that one ticket. The Tower is iconic and Chihuly Glass is well, Chihuly. Amazing place. Both worth it. Would love to go back when the restaurant and~or bar is open again at the Tower. It's worth a view though and the gift shop has the Helenite green earrings (check them out: nice). They do not have coins for the tower and they should. So please consider. We've visited towers all over the world and most of them have coins. Chihuly glass is amazing. What a brilliant artist. The wait wasn't long at either place. Chihuly does a glass demonstration at certain times, last one at 7:00 which we made and it was great. You can valet, which we did. Both are worth a visit.

Poor staff attitude spoilt experience.

By Kay L |

Good experience. Obviously great views at the top.
Automated ticket machines are annoying, staff member at the cafe on the top floor was ignorant. On his phone, oblivious to me standing there offering cash (which they don't accept).
Didn't offer me a glass for my drink (which cost £6 for a soft drink). Another lady offered me a glass. She seemed more customer friendly. Not sure if the gent was even meant to be there, he was totally disinterested.
When you pay so much money for this attraction, you expect the staff to at least be polite.

By Maria Lourdes V |

An unforgettable experience may never come back, for us it is quite long, the view from the tower is breathtaking it looks all seatlle and the snow mountain incredibly beautiful experience.

Don’t use TripAdvisor go right to the source then you will know what your purchasing

By Shaun T |

We had a hard time getting our ticket to scan from the app. We eventually just left and requested a refund which of course denied

Must see!

By Abigail G |

If you are in Seattle, Chihuly and the Space Needle are a must! We started the morning early and walked down to Sculpture Park before we made it back up to the Space Needle and Chihuly at 10:00. Chihuly was amazing! We could have spent more time there. We did that first thing when they opened, it didnt seem crowded so that was nice. After we did the space needle and although you wait in line to go up, it didnt seem like it really took long. We'll definitly be back and we'd like to take a trip up the needle at suset.

By Shari S |

The Space needle has amazing views. Great experience! The glass garden and museum were gorgeous! Highly recommend both.

By Grazy |

Amazing place! Besides the look, which is amazing, clean place, nice, accessible, and we spent a few hours enjoying the view and visiting the museums. We went on Valentine's Day and had a special drink being sold. We love it!

Doing Seattle in a day.

By Tom W |

The day was cloudy and drizzling so the line for Needle was not too outrageous and there is stuff to read about it along the way. Good way to get a full view of the city. But absolutely do not miss the Chihuly blown glass exhibit and try to include the glass blowing demonstration if available. Very cool place and worth every penny.

Nice combo ticket option

By Joyce C |

The voucher worked out well since you weren't locked in to a specific time for entry. Also, you can choose which site you prefer to visit first.

By julian070886 |

We were first on the Space Needle and then in the glass garden. We knew the Space Needle from before. Always great, but the glass garden was absolutely madness. Everyone should go in here if they have the opportunity.

By Nyormirror |

First, don’t get your tickets at the kiosk or onsite. I’d recommend getting CityPASS if you are going to visit several attractions, including Chihuly Garden. Your time entry ticket is just the time you start standing in line for the elevator queue. Our wait to get to the one operating lift on a Saturday afternoon was 45 minutes to an hour. It is the same wait to get down. Hopefully, they will be more efficient since the double-decker lift is now open.

They have an overpriced bar at the top and limited high-top chairs for seating on the glass. The revolving floor below is interesting, with glass-bottom viewing. They also have limited window seating that has to be purchased for an hour along with drinks and is 21+.

The views are beautiful, and there is no time restriction on how long you can stay up. I would set aside 3 hours, with 2 of them for standing in line to go up and down. My CityPASS included a nighttime entry, but I didn’t have the energy to stand in the lines again for the view.

Parking is limited and pricy. I suggest walking or taking the light rail, public transportation or ride-share to the venue.

I can now say that Ive been to the top of the needle, but I don’t see any reason I would need to visit again.

By Doris R |

The Space Needle was everything we hoped for, iconic, scenic, and fun. But the bar experience was a miss. Our bartender, Michael, seemed irritated from the moment we ordered. Espresso martinis were also pretty bad. Unfortunate part of an otherwise great night.

By KathyL21 |

We booked on TA, but when we went to the gate to show our barcode we were directed to the ticket window. This added another 20 minutes to our wait. Once inside we enjoyed the view. There are no brochures to give you information about what you are viewing. You can take a selfie to put on Instagram by scanning a QR code. The gift shop is very nice.

By Deb |

Works so beautiful, they took my breath away. Self paced walk through the museum and garden allows the viewer to enjoy each display in their own time. Theater shows multiple videos of different periods in his life. Very interesting!

Forget about it! Total scam!

By Christoph Z |

Booked a slot at 5:35h . We were able to enter the line at 5:25h but after 30 minutes we only made it to the 4th picture frame of at least 12, so the wait time would have been more than 1.5h. We decided to leave and wie really don‘t understand why the sell slots when the are not able to manage their capacities. Nearly 100 Dollar lost for nothing.

People with panic fears, be careful.

By Jackson |

From the inside, you can see the history of the spacecraft. If you ride upstairs in Elbe, you can see Seattle with a glance. Guilty people with panic, be careful.

Wombo combo!

By Vincente |

Combo ticket was the move! I'll start with space needle review as it was the first attraction we visited of the two. The views from the space needle were breathtaking to say the least. The line to the elevator that brings you up was well organized. Fast arrival to the top. Once at the top it was spacious and stunning. The floors are see through at times and the walls of the outer deck are see through glass as well. I am sometimes afraid of heights, but the structure felt very secure. The 360 view is very nice as you can see buildings on one side and water on the other. Well worth the price of admission. One of those things you do once and don't need to go again.
Chihuly glass time: WOW this museum is home to some of the prettiest glass sculptures conceived by man! There were so many styles and shapes. I loved the bowls that had contrasting colors on the rim of the bowl. There was live glassblowing on the spot when we went (weekday). They had a free storage in the museum for storing our luggage and that definitely enhanced the experiences significantly. All in all, there is so much this combo pass includes you should do it all while you're there.

One and done kind of thing. Kind of pricey.

By Rebe |

It was alright. We only went since it was our first time visitingSeattle. Definitely would not go again. One and done kind of thing.

Very impressive glass work

By Bryan L |

Very interesting and beautiful glass work. The museum was very interesting. Highly recommend if you are into art, very impressive.

A nice...

By tradi_travel |

...2 hour diversion for scenic views and spectacular glass creations.

We purchased our tickets walk-up, saved a couple dollars, and walked right in with no wait mid morning.

There is a senior price as well if you book or pay direct (not sure the TA site offers that?) Reservations might make sense if you want the sunset view.

New photo options!

By KhmerloveTravels |

The last time I visited the Space Needle was in 2014. I was pleasantly surprised by the upgrades! Although a little scary, the glass floor, the glass benches and the tilted glass border add to the excitement. A note about pictures: the picture they take of your group at entry is FREE and connected to your ticket. You can also scan your ticket at various camera locations and get your picture taken for free. These photos are also connected to your ticket. It took me a couple of tries to get the hang of it. Scan your ticket, stand back until you can see numbers counting down on the camera, then smile!

By Monica R |

It was interesting to go up the space needle and look out from the observation deck, but it doesn’t seem worth the money. Very crowded. Chihuly is beautiful and the artist is very talented.

Incredible views on a clear day

By Cassie H |

Is it pricey? Yes. Are the views incredible? Also yes. It was a beautiful clear day when we went and while I was a bit too nervous to spend much time on the exterior, the interior still offered stunning 360 views. I also liked that you can walk around with some local craft beer. I’m not sure if that’s new or not as the last time I was here I was ten.

Space Needle

By Ethan M |

The Space Needle is a must-see landmark in Seattle. At 184 meters tall, its observation deck and rotating restaurant offer stunning views of the city, Puget Sound, and mountains. Built for the 1962 World’s Fair, it’s not just a structure but a symbol of Seattle’s innovation, shining brightly day and night. A true icon worth visiting.

By 47planet |

The Space Needle is a must-visit when in Seattle! The views from the top are absolutely breathtaking, showcasing the entire city and surrounding mountains.

The only downside was the wait time. We had a 4:15 PM ticket but didn’t make it to the observation deck until 4:45 PM, which felt a bit longer than expected. However, once we got up there, the experience was well worth it!

The observation area is spacious, and the glass floor is a fun touch. Overall, it’s an iconic attraction that shouldn’t be missed, just be prepared for a bit of a wait!

By Debra E |

Stunning exhibit - I loved how you turn a corner and BAM - a gorgeous piece is smack in front of you - so much beauty. Glass blowing demonstration a plus! Cafe/bar has a great menu & the truffle fries are delicious. I highly recommend planning on a visit

By Diane Perry |

Amazing vibrant colors and grand scale of sculptured glass! Brilliant! Demonstration was relevant. Location is at the base of the Space Needle. The pictures turned out fabulous. Research parking before you go, I paid $44 for 10 hours as I decided to stay parked there and walk to Pike's Market.

Sunshine, Seattle, space needle, salutations!

By Joe S |

I couldn’t let my first visit to Seattle go by without taking a trip up the space needle. It was a pleasant, warm day in May, clear skies and views almost, but not quite, to Mount Rainier.

The ticketing process was simply enough, there was a kiosk as well as several self service machines which is what we chose but I would say that if you are a resident of Seattle, the local resident discount was not readily available on the self service tickets. Price was comparable to going up the CN tower in Toronto or the shard in London so was happy there. I regret missing the opening of the glass bottom lift/elevator because of the timing of my visit, although I look forward to doing that next time I’m in town.

The views are stunning and the air feels particularly crisp and clean up top. There are plenty of beverage and food options if you want to make an event of a visit, with the former revolving restaurant with glass bottomed floors also visitable. On the way out, there is a chance to visit the gift shop which is a pretty well stocked boutique with lots of souvenir options and some really funky looking models of the space needle itself.

Obviously this is not an attraction for anybody who suffers from vertigo but I never felt imperilled once going up there so maybe a good way of conquering your fears. A visit should take between 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on what it is you want to do but if the weather is nice, grab yourself a drink and just watch the world go by.

What a great experience to the needle and Chihuly

By James B |

Bought the combination ticket for the needle and the glass garden. The views of the Seattle area was fascinating to see how Seattle was nestled in the mountains. The Chihuly garden and glass exhibit was awe inspiring and the majestic colors and shapes were mesmerizing.

Space Needle gives citywide views

By Americansportswriter |

You go to the Space Needle because it's one of our country's iconic views. You stay an hour because it's fun. Outdoor platform and glass floors for the bold, comfy chairs indoors for those who can't handle being 600 feet up. Several free selfie cameras to access via internet. It's busy, but not overcrowded. Cheaper before noon. Nice gift shops.

The Views are Amazing from the Observation Deck

By TheExplorerFamily |

The Space Needle is an Observation Tower. It is an icon of the city of Seattle and is in the lower Queen Anne neighborhood. It was built in 1962 for the World’s Fair. It is 605 feet high. At first glance the dainty tower looks quite flimsy, but it felt good to learn that it was built to withstand winds of up to 200 mph and an earthquake of 9.0 magnitude. The elevator takes you up there in 41 seconds.

We photographed this beautiful icon from several locations – Kerry Park, Gas Works Park and while driving around.

The Howard S. Wright Memorial Fountain right at the entrance is a very pretty, and worth making a stop there for some photo ops with the Tower in the background. We took pictures from all four sides.

We were the only ones in line on the afternoon that we visited. Later, a few people started showing up. The lack of crowds enabled us to enjoy uninterrupted views from the windows of the tower. The day was clear and sunny, so we were happy to get gorgeous views of the city below, the Cascadian Mountains and the gorgeous Mount Rainier in the distance.

The Space Needle Bar was nice. We had a relaxing drink there. The Chardonnay paired so well with the cherries and the chips. And sitting there at one of the glass tables enjoying the amazing view was such a bonus.

We have always wanted to come here and are glad to have checked this off our bucket list.

Fun time

By M D |

We enjoyed the fantastic views. Had an interesting time on the revolving glass floor. Some of the group even had pictures taken leaning on the wall.

Grand experience!

By Craig M |

Terrific views, and good beer!
The Chihuly Gardens were an exciting visual escaped.
Will recommend you bring a camera and binoculars!

By ELee P |

Easy to get the tickets, staff was friendly and helpful. The view was amazing. The glass floor is not for the faint of heart. The complementary digital pictures is a great feature … don’t miss it.

Get on top of Seattle

By 265karl |

I have travelled to Seattle for years, but first time in the Space Needle since I was 12. There have been so many changes to the skyline since. Really worth it! Stunning views!

View Seattle from above

By Dieter |

Nice view of the city, well paid. Is definitely recommended if you miss it, but it is also not so tragic, Seattle from above is not the unforgettable mega experience now ...
After all, you are photographed and can have this souvenir photo sent to you free of charge (automatic machines are on the viewing platform).
If you arrive early during the week (8am) you can easily go up straight away, otherwise I recommend advance reservation on the internet.

It is highly recommended to purchase the combination card with the "Chihuly Garden and Glass". This is extremely worth seeing!

By Rodolfo M |

They make you pay a ticket to have a time slot and after they make you do a 1 hour line to get to the elevator not worth the line

really spectacular!

By Sircoleman |

We had set ourselves that a visit, whatever the cost, would be a must as one of the main attractions of the city.
Fortunately we opted for Citypass and bought more visits at discounted prices, we went early in the morning and after a long but fast line we went up and the show from there is really exceptional.
You will enjoy the whole horizon at 360 ° the strongest emotion you have in the inner lower floor as the floor, swivel, like the whole upper ring, is made of glass.
At the entrance a souvenir photo is taken that you can then download (for free!) from their quote with the choice of 2 wallpapers.
Returning to the visit externally is very exciting but I preferred the internal part.
I would never have come back down so many possible views and curiosities of Seattle
There is also a restaurant and lounge bar with a view, honest prices, you are always in America and 180 meters high.
Below the base of the tower there is a large shop with souvenirs of all kinds and prices that deserves a ride and some shopping.
I highly recommend!

Poor value for the time and money cost

By LT A |

We bought a ticket for a scheduled entry time. We still waited over an hour is a crowded line. The site has poor crowd management, nice but ultimately unhelpful staff. A completely frustrating experience. Not worth the cost.

The mountain ranges and islands in Puget Sound are beautiful on a clear day

By Marvin G |

The Space Needle is an observation tower that was built for the Seattle’s World Fair in 1962. It’s 605 feet high and built to withstand high winds and earthquakes. You can see for many miles on a clear day and the view of the Olympic and Cascade Mountains is fantastic, including Mount Rainier. It has a “skybeam” on top that shines on national holidays.

I expected more

By mtcantuh |

The truth was that I was expecting more from the observatory floor, they only explain a little bit of the construction by photographs in line for the elevator but nothing else, not a video or anything
For the price is too much for a few minutes
Although the view is beautiful that yes
Staff at the shop downstairs should be kinder

Too expensive for a so so experience

By S0phie |

To be honest I do not think that the Space Needle is worth a visit, especially with how expensive it is. Probably the most interesting part is just at the very beginning with the pictures of the actual build of the building.

Don´t forget that there is not that much to see when you are on top since Seattle does not really have any landmarks.

Tickets can be bought at the ticket office or at the automatic machines just outside the Space Needle.

Tips:
- There is a combined ticket with the Chihuly glass museum which is just next to the Space Needle, and the glass museum is definitely worth visiting
- Take the monorail to get here

Good.

By Ren F |

A Seattle “must”, it takes you 2hrs to do the tour and take pictures. Good experience but if you have visited other skies scratch this is not so impressive

Chihuly Glass and Gardens, a must see

By fionakyrkou |

Wow, wow, wow. What an unexpected experience. What I thought was going to take a couple of hours ended up being the best part of a day.
A true gem and a must see stop on any trip to Seattle. We bought the 2 attraction ticket, the 'Needle' and the gardens.
Although the line to the elevator was a hour long wait, the time at the top is well worth it.
We were blessed with fantastic weather, blue skies, mild temperatures and no wind, to speak of. The city looked magnificent fare below the glass floors.
We made the most of the walks on both levels and the views did not disappoint.
After decending in the glass elevator we made our way over to the Chihuly Glass and Gardens. This was nothing like what I could have imagined. Way beyond impressed and simply blown away by the delicacy and beauty of the glass installations.
The demonstration was very informative and extremely interesting.
Highly recommend this as a stop on any visit to Seattle.

A must- see in Seattle . It was amazing experience .Highly recommend

A must-see in Seattle. It was an amazing experience, eventhough the weather was not the best but it was worth it and we had a fantastic time . Highly recommend.

Awesome Views

By elchaco |

Totally worth the price of admission! We went up before sunset to get some great views, and, of course, experience the sunset from above. You get great views from the observation deck, but don't forget the rotating deck below. There's this awesome camera in one of the downtown buildings that zooms in to you inside the needle for a great little video! Definitely a highlight of our trip!

Beware of wait times

By Kelly F |

While the views from the top are great, be aware of the wait times. We recently visited on a Thursday afternoon and were given no indication of how long the wait would be until we had already purchased the tickets. Had we known, we might have passed. As it was, we waited in line for more than one hour to ride an elevator to the top. Then we waited in line again for a long time to ride back down.

LIVE THIS PLACE

By ramon131313 |

Awesome place to visit in Seattle Washington. Really good 360° views of the city. We went during our vacations on september 2025 and we had a great time.

By Michelle Y |

The ticket process was easy, line moved fast and the views were beautiful atop the needle. The Chihuly glass exhibit is spectacular.

A must-visit if you want to enjoy the stunning scenery!

By Compass55862485554 |

We had a sweeping view of the city and the sea, through the glass floor, and even the mountains in the distance, as if we were floating in the sky! It was a heart-stopping feeling to fully enjoy the view in August just because the weather was good and there was not much rain!!!

By Cheryl S |

When in Seattle visiting the Space Needle is a must. The Chihuly museum is a bonus!! The museum is truly an amazing place to visit.

Awe Inspiring Views

By hoopscoach-dmar |

We got back from our Alaskan cruise on Sunday. We took a shuttle back to our hotel and returned back for our 1230 visit. It is easily accessible by getting off at the Westlake stop of the light rail and taking a short monorail ride.

We purchased tickets online for a combined Space Needle and Chihuly Garden visit. We arrived and after a very short wait were escorted to the elevator. It is a 47 second ride to the top.

The view is breathtaking. You can feel the space needle rotating slowly so that you can take in the view. We were able to see all the sights in the harbor (we could see the ship we had disembarked from that morning). We could see the football and baseball stadiums and the rest of the Seattle skyline.

Stepping on the clear part of the floor and seeing all the way down to the ground gave me a strange sensation. It is not a natural site, but it felt as if we were in a place which was as special to us when we visited Niagara Falls or the Grand Canyon.

We went to get a glass of wine, and were surprised when a person we had just met insisted on buying us a drink. What a great place to have a drink and soak in the sights.

The Chihuly Gardens had beautiful artwork created by blown glass. The larger works were inside. There is no way to really describe the artwork other than to actually view it.

It is one of the things I most wanted to see in Seattle. We recommend combining the tours. There is a small cafe with inside or outside dining right next to the Garden.

The monorail stop is right outside the cafe. It is a short ride to the light rail from there.

Enjoyed the glass gardens and the needle.

By juliemK6274YN |

Space needle was very busy. We prepurchased a ticket for 11am with entrance to the needle and glass gardens….memorial weekend so the area was busy. Caught the monorail to the area, easy, cheap and efficient. Space needle lines were long and we eventually made it up to the top. Busy with people clamouring for photos. Couldn’t get the glass floor Photo Booth to work and no one around to help with the tech glitch. Visited the gift shop, loads of tourist junk, purchased a magnet….store does not take cash. Highlight was the glass chulily gardens next door….spectacular. Crowds were not over whelming at this sight and enjoyed the visit including a glass blowing show in the court yard. Finished off with a great hot dog from a stand near the monorail entry point.

Lovely views! Take the stairs to get a free t-shirt

By Marianne C |

Such lovely views. I recommend going to the Space Needle once during the day and once at night to experience the views differently. I'd also recommend taking the stairs down if you can (which you can only do during the day). It's 800 steps and you get a free t-shirt with a great design by a local artist.

Girls trip

By Margaret D |

Chihuly gardens were fantastic..worth every penny!
Space needle not so enjoyable. Maybe a time reservation only meant we had to wait in line for more than 1 very hot hour b4 getting into elevator. Why book a time when it means nothing.

Must see

By flatfootfoodie |

Listen, you can’t go to Seattle and not go to the Space Needle at least once. It’s extra cool on a clear and sunny day, but you can’t beat the view. You just have to go…and it won’t disappoint.

By StephenCross |

The Space Needle is an iconic landmark on the Seattle Skyline. However, typically long lines to get in and it’s expensive.

By Mylinder L |

Wonderful experience. The gardens and blown glass were amazing, sights to be seen like no other. This trip provided memories unlike no other.

A superb experience on a sunny day!

By 1066RA |

A superb morning at the Space Needle, with some glorious blue sky! We paid ahead and got straight in and into the elevator to the revolving floor. We went upstairs first to the higher observation deck. It was truly amazing outside and we walked round and round looking at the skyline. We came back inside, bought a beer at the Tip Top cafe and sat for more than an hour just watching the whole world go by. Great stuff. We then came back down to the revolving floor for a complete go-round before heading back down in the elevator. The queues weren't too bad at all. A great experience and thoroughly recommended.

Must do in Seattle

By Dijah |

Super easy to redeem. On a clear day the views are amazing. The glass shop does a demo every hour I believe in case you want to shed the blown glass in person. Highly recommend!

Fun!

By Kayla |

Worth a visit at least once! Gorgeous views from here and take a moment to get a meat pie from the cafe. They have a lot of fun free photo stations that will send the photo to your phone - great option for solo travelers!

Too crowded

By emmaDthefoodie |

Overhyped. Great views from the top but price and crowd made the trip here exhausting. Long lines to get in. It was good for a one time adventure but we won't be going again.

By cindy f |

It was a beautiful evening in the Space Needle and in the Gardens! I was a little worried about going up, but it was so worth it!

Beautiful Sunset viewes

By Tatiana H |

Beautiful views of Seattle! We were super lucky to get a table on rotating floor and observe the sunset. Highly recommend this experience at this time of the day, as you can see day light and sunset.

Even it the rain this was fun

By Heather M |

We did a combo of the Chihuly Gardens and the Space Needle (seeing as how they are next door to each other). Inside there is a display talking about the building of the needle with was interesting. The elevator up was fun as it had windows. The day we went it was raining so it made touring the outside observation deck a little wet but the inside deck with the rotating floor was lots of fun. If you are afraid of heights, you may want to stay off the glass revolving floor.

Take photos from glass-bottomed level

By Mark H |

My adult daughter and I visited on a sunny July day. The whole process of entering and moving through the Needle went smoothly, a good operation. We liked the glass-bottomed level that provided better photos than being outside on the observation deck! While it was enclosed, the glass was clean and did not have any sun reflections. Whereas the plastic shielding on the observation deck is not quite as clear.

By Darin E |

5 of 5 for sure! Great afternoon with family! Haven’t been to the Space Needle since 1994. Will definitely be back before another 30 years pass.

Atteactions

By Jean-Michel F |

Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens! 2 essential! Worth the admission fee. Sleeping at the fairfield Marriot excellent lunch

By Gail |

We were excited to see the Needle and the Chihuly Museum and they didn’t disappoint.
The staff in both venues were efficient and kept people moving politely and effectively.
The venue was clean and guests were polite.
A great experience and we highly recommend it

Great tour. Great guide

By Eric M |

This was a great tour and a great guide. We had Woody for a guide and he was great. He was friendly, knowledgeable, set a good pace, and would make sure to take care of each guest. He was awesome. The tour was great and took us all over in a reasonable amount of time. We would not have seen, tasted, or covered anywhere near as much by ourselves. The samples were great. We walked right up and skipped the lines. And I got to try things I either didn't know about or probably wouldn't have tried myself. Overall this is a great tour, well worth the time and money. Take it.

The perfect Seattle experience!

By Lynn K |

Awesome! We took the monorail to the Space Needle and Chilhuly Exhibit - the whole thing was a fun uniquely Seattle adventure!

Great Day

By renee G |

Our trip to the Spaceneedle was great. We went late morning before the crowds. There was a short wait for the elevator. All staff were friendly and helpful. The views from both platforms were amazing. The Chihuli exhibit was breathtaking. The overall experience was positive.

Go around sunset!

By WorldTravelerDD |

If you can time your experience, get there at least an hour before they close and experience the sunset. It is pretty cool to experience, even thought it was a little pricey for what it is. Food and drink at the top are expensive, so be sure to calculate that in your trip.

By Diane V |

The space needle is a must to check off your list. The glass museum was a pleasure to visit. The awe of the size of the installations and amazing colors was breathtaking.

Amazing

By Pamela S |

What an amazing exhibition. Unbelievable as to how some of the glass items were put together. Be sure to watch all the videos of how the glass was put together. See my google maps review also

By 83lovetotravel |

The tower is not that tall but offers Nice view of Seattle downtown, puget sound and other side of downtown. On a clear day, you can also see mt rainier. In summer, book tickets around an hour before sunset to witness the golden hour. There are great food choices and drinks on top to enjoy. Don’t forget to explore the rotating glass floor as well an hour is more than enough to take pictures and enjoy the views.

By jana g |

Not too long of a wait for Space Needle if you get there when it opens. Chihuly Gardens was a surprise, incredibly beautiful glass sculptures.

Sunset in the revolving bar

By Kirston B |

We visited the space needle ( via the monorail ) with a timed pre purchased ticket for 6 pm as we had been advised to try and see the sunset at the top. There was no queue at all but we took time going towards the lifts by reading about the history of the space needle itself. The view from the top was spectacular.
The revolving restaurant is now closed but there is a revolving bar where you can have drinks and small plates which we took the opportunity to do, as we saw the sunset from a window seat which was amazing. The staff were friendly and efficient and the drinks and food were both lovely.

By MKHapp |

It’s a must do activity. The view was great. Definitely worth it. The selfie stations were a must!! The glass exhibit was spectacular too!!

Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens

By Patricia B |

Thoroughly enjoyed both Chihuly Gardens and the Space Needle. Easy getting tickets and time for Space Needle. Would definitely recommend these attractions

By Leticia G |

Enjoyed the Space Needle and Chihuly Glass Garden! The views from Space Needle are amazing! There were clouds in the sky so I wasn’t able to see Mt. Rainer quite as clear as I hoped. It was still a wonderful experience. As for Chihuly Glass Garden, it was lovely. I’m amazed at how much work went into creating the exhibition.

By angela h |

I enjoyed learning the history of how it was built and what it meant at that time. The views are wonderful. I also appreciated the combo ticket to visit Chihuly along with the Space Needle. It was perfect since they are near each other. Chihuly Glass and Gardens is beautiful. And I was fortunate to witness glass blowing while there as well. I was fortunate that there was live flute music being played nearby that enhanced the walk through the garden

By 67Camar0 |

We got to visit both the Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens at the same time, both are right next to each other. Getting to them can be a challenge. We stayed at the Homewood suites and decided to walk to them because the map showed just a short walk to them. The map does not tell you that the walk is straight up, the incline is 7 blocks of @ 90 degrees each block. It is Better to order an Uber if you are not a hiker or if you are close to the Westlake monorail station ,it takes you directly to the space center. Both exhibits were fantastic. The space needle was amazing , and we even got to see Mt. Ranier, which is not always visible.
Chihuly Gardens was spectacular. The art pieces were breathtaking. I recommend both places to visit.
There was a line for the space needle but when you pick up your tickets ask if you can have an early entrance. The ticket person asked us if we wanted it and we got to enter the line to the elevator within 20 min. It did take an additional 35 min to get to the elevator to the top. it was well worth the time waiting

It's Iconic!

By ASBCRB |

This is something you just have to do in Seattle. It's truly iconic. You don't want to go home and have to tell your friends you didn't go up the Space Needle! It's best if the weather is clear because the observation levels offer 360-degree views for many miles. You can see Mt Ranier if it's clear enough. You even get a few free digital photos you can download.

both levels fun

By blonnka |

Plan to wait in line, the later in the day, the worse it gets. There are actually 2 levels at the top of the needle, one with a glass floor.

Nobody near us could get the QR code to work well, but we were able to take plenty of photos.

Mandatory stop

By Fco S |

Very nice place amazing view mandatory stop in seatle
The view is spectacular beautiful the truth
Rotating part below uffff

Still had a line for conversion

By Jim T |

Although bought ticket online still had to convert the ticket at the space needle. Did not expect to have to stay in line to get a ticket.

Tour in Seattle

By Flavia Marcondes |

There was a lot of queue to get to the elevators, but that was to be expected. Two elevators to the top climb. The view from the elevator is beautiful. On the descent I managed to enter last and stood right at the door.
The view from above is beautiful. 360 degrees across Seattle. There are two cafes (nothing exceptional), but very tasty.
Down a staircase, there is the rotating platform with a glass floor (where you can see to the ground). Exciting.
Camera spread for photos. And in the kiosk you see the photo and type your
Email. They send to or the photos for free. Or if you prefer the ticket you can also enter to view the photo. Very well worth it. Imperdible

Good experience.

By Juergen O |

Amazing view and nice ideas with glass bottom in the needle. Elevator operator was very funny. Chihuly garden also impressive. All in all nice i can recommend it is a must see in Seattle. It’s a fast experience so you don’t
Need much time for this. Can be completed easily in 1,5 hrs if you are on a rush

It’s good

By Angela L |

I went during the night. The view was nice and I thought that it was a cool experience. The revolving glass floor was my favorite part.

Memorable family activity

By takacsgary2021 |

The views were amazing and worth the amount we paid for. A bit pricey but it was a memorable family activity. My family had a great time especially with the rotating glass floor. We went during the day but would do again at night. Great for family pictures and creating memories together.

By Bryan |

We had prepaid tickets and the gate attendant said we couldn’t enter until 15 minutes before our ticket time. When we got in, the line was extremely long and so slow like the staff wasn’t aware how long it was. On the viewing platforms there was so much room like they weren’t letting as many people up as they should be.

Once up there the views were great. Elevator ride up & down was quick and fun. Thought we’d be able to see Mt. Rainier but we couldn’t. Rotating deck below was also fun. Maybe a little frightening or stunning if you’re afraid of the glass floors. Of course there were slow movers on both decks that stand in the way and refuse to move, just like any other popular attraction. Gift shop had good things to look at.

No time limit so seemed like we could stay as long as we wanted, but we were reasonable. Now that I’ve seen it I probably wouldn’t do it again.

Combo ticket

By Jonathan |

Bought combo tickets thru booking.com. Had to go to the ticketing booth to queue for the actual tickets. Went on a weekday morning. Not too crowded.

By Jim C |

When we got a time ticket we expected to go up at that time but instead we had to wait in line for over an hour and decided to leave without going to the top.

Get the PIE and don’t rush! Take your time enjoy!

By Melle Z |

Best apple pie ever! Spend the money and the time to just enjoy a world icon!

Went on a Monday morning the views were amazing the glass floor is so much fun and to be able to fall back against the glass barrier is insane!

Staff very friendly! Lot of fun and tick of the bucket list

Amazing

By Chefdaddy2472 |

Ok glass garden absolutely amazing!! A must do! In my opinion way better than the space needle! The artwork breathtaking and the demo fantastic!!!

By Lynda B |

The Space Needle was a great experience. Beautiful views. It was a very clear day. We could Mt. Rainier and many other sites.

By Amanda |

If you visit Seattle, the Space Needle is probably one of the most iconic places to visit. This was a neat experience and the views were amazing. I enjoyed the revolving glass floor. I would recommend going in the morning when the crowds aren’t too bad.

Stunning creativity of Chihuly

By rbhogaraju |

The Space Needle is along expected lines. I am personally not much of a fan of these tall buildings. If you have seen one you have seen them all. But the Chihuly Garden and Glass is one of its kind. We were quite blown away by its resplendent colors and sculptures. Just every little or big piece is stunning in creativity, craftsmanship and skill. We ended up taking so many pictures, but we never got our fill. Anyone would be totally captivated by what the glass garden has to offer

It's the Space Needle!

By DKPuck |

How can you not visit the Space Needle when visiting Seattle? You can walk from the main downtown area and it's a great area to see. Views from the top are amazing! Yes, it's a bit pricey and not something you do many times, but if you've never been to the top, do it!

A Must See in Seattle

By PATRICIA F |

Great experience. The ticket I purchased in advance through TripAdvisor was easy to use and redeem. The directions given by the staff and personal of the experience was great. I was looking forward to the Space Needle, but I really learned a lot about the Chihuly Garden and Glass! And the Light Rail was right there to take me back to the downtown area where my hotel was located. Overall, an excellent experience!

You can enjoy it from above or below.

By terunz V |

It was a very sunny day, and we spent some time under the Space Needle lying around chatting and having a picnic.
You can go up, but you can also go down.

Love that Space Needle

By Robert D |

Our trip to the Space Needle was awesome. We arrived early about 1030am and were able to head right on up the Needle. Very fast elevator and upon arrival at the top were met with the most awesome view of the entire Puget Sound/Seattle area. Food and drinks are available as well as plenty of seating. We sat purchased a couple of sandwiches and drinks and took in the scenery. I could have stayed up there all day its that relaxing and terrific.
After leaving the Space Needle we entered the Chihuly and were amazed at the art work and colors all done with glass blowing. There even was a glass blowing exhibition.
If you are in Seattle these both are must trips.

Helpful staff and beautiful views

By CJ80Virginia |

Views were definitely amazing. I also highly recommend having lunch at The Garden at Chihuly (if you want something other than the pies at The Needle's restaurant). But I really wanted to state my appreciation for the wheelchair they provided for my sister that I was also permitted to use at Chihuly. We also were able to board the elevators first. Thank you very much.

By Ligedua |

The bold colors, the size of the glass sculptures and the composition of the display were stunning! the Garden was spectacular; glass sculptures weaved into natural vegetation and the color composition was brilliant.

Sightseeing

By Debbie W |

What a sight to see. Went at sunset and the view was more than words can capture. Walking around at the top to see all of Seattle is breathtaking. The lights are awesome.

Iconic must do

By kerlyqueue |

Iconic, must do. We were able to check in fifteen minutes prior to our ticket time. It was about a 30 minute wait in line, they take your picture (if you want), then elevator up to the observation deck. You can spend as much time up there as you you'd like.

Gorgeous Views from the Top

By swoodruf |

On our first day in Seattle, my granddaughter and I visited the Space Needle. We had a reserved ticket, so we just had to exchange the voucher for an actual ticket. There was quite a long line, but it moved very quickly. There were posters and objects around which made it interesting. I had not been to the Space Needle before, so it was a fun experience. Once you get to the top, there is a bar if you want a drink. We just walked around and caught the amazing views. We had a perfectly gorgeous day, so we could see for miles. The Space Needle was only about a 15 minute walk from our hotel.

Nice afternoon high above Seattle.

By Ionut I |

Venue and food and drinks presentation were amazing.
Our waitress Andrea was very helpful and all the staff were very friendly.
Some dishes were nice (salmon) some missed the mark (mushroom pate).
Overall, we spent a nice afternoon at the Loupe. Thank you.

By Cordelia G |

Our very first visit to the Space Needle was nothing short of perfect! From the moment we stepped in, everything felt magical—the views were breathtaking, the atmosphere was welcoming, and even the weather seemed to line up beautifully for us.

What made it extra special was being here with my sisters. This stop was the beginning of our journey to Alaska, a trip rooted in both love and grief, and the Space Needle gave us a moment of peace, wonder, and togetherness before setting sail.

Looking out over the city and beyond, we were reminded of how healing travel can be, and how important it is to pause and take in the beauty around us. The Space Needle was the perfect start to this meaningful trip. Highly recommend making it a first stop when in Seattle—you won’t be disappointed!

By Carmen A |

Wow what a great combo! The space needle experience was amazing. Its beautiful inside and outside, and the pies are just as amazing as advertised. The garden was so beautiful that words cannot describe it nor pictures. You just have to go !

By Nancy F |

Breathtaking, bright, beautiful colors, exceptional take on the sea, flowers, and life through an artists eyes. Inside and outside, you are treated to an array of color and forms. Loved it!!!!

Great views

By Andrea F |

Our family had a great time at the Space Needle Chihuly Garden. I recommend going early in the day for less crowds. We went at 9:45 am and we didn't really have to wait at all but by the time we came down from the needled the lines were very long. The views from the Space Needle were very cool. The glass sculptures were amazing.

Yes ! Go see Seattle from the top

By Bohemian_me84 |

I like it ! You can walk all the way around , see the view of the city . It’s very pretty . Thic glass walls let you take really cool photos . Rotating floor is little trippy but sure you have to see it !
Gift shop downstairs is huge !
Fun activity .

Amazing view

By Grazy |

Special place. With a beautiful view. I went when I was celebrating Valentine's Day and they were serving a special drink. The vibe of the place was wonderful!

Iconic and a Must Do

By Ferg1204 |

The space needle is iconic. We went as part of the city pass and self guided our own tour. The facts are interesting as you wait for the elevator and the views are wonderful once you’re at the top. Take the zoomies (pictures offered as part of your ticket) and help the Boomers with their phones do the same lol They are always appreciative. Then walk to the Glass Art gallery close by. You won’t regret it.

By bearcj |

Seeing the sights was a true delight. Love the fact that the photos are included in the ticket price. Look for the automated selfie spots.
The glass rotating floor was awesome.

From the heights

By Wilfredo N |

Just feeling the genius of man expressed many years ago in this lofty construction simply surprises. Without having advanced technology they were able to accomplish such a feat. It has a turntable with transparent floor that makes the experience much more attractive. It has cameras on the upper level that when you check in you take a selfie photo. The photos are completely free and you can download them on the website.

Scenic view and beautiful art

By Monica M |

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed both the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass. We were impressed with how quickly we were able to move through the lines for our tickets and entry to both exhibits. All staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the views from the Space Needle, which offered perfect, clear skies. Chihuly was worth the visit. The exhibits were spectacular and amazing. We watched a glass blowing demonstration and enjoyed the artistry of this wonderful skill. Beautiful art!

By jmh6714 |

I have seen the museum on a previous trip but worth the time to see again - always see something new. This is the first time in a long time that I went up in the Space Needle. It was a cloudy and misty day, so the views were not as great as they would have been on a clear day. The cafe up in the second level was okay, but expensive for what you received. Learned a lesson there. Overall, it was a good experience.

Waste of time to get tickets ahead of time

By Melissa B |

Do not buy tickets ahead of time. Biggest waste of time. Doesn’t matter what time you booked, you get in the general admission line no matter what. Ridiculous

Wonderful day.

By Dixie M |

We both really liked the space needle and chihuly glass. Really liked the glass blowing demonstration too. Nice experience. Was hazy and hard to get good photos but seemed to clear up as afternoon went by.

Good visit

By Bruce E |

Nice experience with good views over Seattle. Has a revolving platform with a glass floor, my wife was petrified. Easy access and well organised.

Great observation deck

By Wesley W |

Great observation deck, you'll get some great shots of the city.
The Chihuly gardens were an added bonus, wasn't sure what to expect when the wife mentioned we were doing that too, but a great exhibit.

Must-see in Seattle

By Kuan L |

Must-see in Seattle. Right next to each other, and very well worth the trip. It's very convenient since they are right next door, and Space Needle park is wonderful.

Good times in Seattle

By Excursion02686017937 |

it was amazing about the space needle how the men worked hard how they build it.
They Chihuly Garden and glass was totally unbeatable , colours were amazing !

By Star Y |

Excellent way to spend my double birthday! Morning before the crowds and watching the clouds lift from the mountains and bay atop the Space Needle, then walking the glass art! Lunch was nice too! Worth it!!

Got to be done when visiting Seattle

By Dr Hunter |

Well worth a visit, great views great atmosphere. We went about 10am the lines to get in weren’t too bad, 10-minute wait, but it did look a lot longer when we left.
Spent about an hour at the top, between the top deck and the observation lounge, there's a cafe at the top for drinks and snacks, then another 15 minutes looking around the gift shop at the bottom.

The view and art are amazing!

By MH |

I was able to take a lot of very good pictures with a great view. The glass art is nice and satisfying to see.
It was hard to tell, though, because the place to exchange tickets was the regular ticket office, and it was a shame it took so long because we had to wait in line.

The corner of Seattle, you have to visit.

By Connector17837702662 |

We wanted to get on the “needle” and the experience did not disappoint.
Spectacular views and moments of vertigo resting on its glass walls.
Moment to have a drink in the restaurant.
Must-see photos on a trip to Seattle.
Chihuly Garden, beautiful enclosure of glass sculptures of all colors and shapes. Mandatory your visit.

Amazing views!

By Monica R |

Amazing place to take pictures and see, it’s beautiful when the sun sets, there’s also an amazing gyros spot right at the bottom tucked in to a corner

So Many Great Photo Opportunities!

By CharlieV2011 |

I wanted to book my ticket in advance, but earlier enough to avoid the crowds, while having a good idea of having a sunny morning, and everything turned out perfectly as planned! I booked the 9:30 ticket and there were no unbearable crowds. The views are stunning both on the revolving floor and observation deck. The gift shop has a great selection of souvenirs at great prices such as dog toys, shot glasses, mugs, ornaments, Space Needle models, and clothing. I enjoyed my trip here!

By David T |

We booked direct to avoid the ticket office views (I would recommend). We had tickets timed for 10.15AM and joined the queue at that time. The movement was slow but steady, and we entered the elevator at 11.00AM. 40 seconds later, and we were at the top. Great views from the 360-degree observation platform. Some really good photo opportunities. We then descend onto the 360-degree moving walkway. Again, great photo opportunities. We then took the elevator back to the ground floor, where we perused the gifts in the shop. It is a great way to spend a couple of hours in downtown Seattle.

May trip

By shaynapet M |

It’s very overpriced. The view is cool but the atmosphere it’s very busy. Also, the people seem to be very rude that go here. I’m not sure why and let me tell you the social media post and pictures is out of control. I don’t understand why people can’t just enjoy what’s in front of them, but the drinks were cool and, I did enjoy the view

Super over-priced drinks

By Rachel548 |

I've visited before but it has been almost 13 years. I didn't realize the formal revolving restaurant was gone. I missed it on this trip. There's a bar and pie place but not the same. More room for more people I guess. Note that two San Pellegrino's cost something like $18. Crazy. Used the City pass for quick entry but it was dead on a Weds morning in Feb. Great views. Fun elevator ride. Huge gift shop.

Even in the rain a fun day!

By Expedition40409 |

We really enjoyed our visit to the Space needle and Chihuly Gardens! Had not been at the space needle for more than 30 years!

Fun break in Seattle

By Mark L |

Glass sculptures were very cool to see. Staff at both the needle and garden were very pleasant, enthusiastic, and helpful.

Through the looking glass

By OnAir594960 |

Amazing glass art in harmony with nature and human culture, in vivid color. Great demonstration of glass-blowing and art creation. Inspiring videos of Chihuly’s life work. The Space Needle is a youthful 63, a wonder of technical, courageous construction. A bird’s eye survey of the water, sky, land and energy of the Seattle environment.

Awesome view and time up the top

By FamilyHolidays19 |

Visiting the Space Needle was awesome. Stunning Views and the slowly revolving floor / glass flooring was great. Stayed about two hours up the top. Amenities very clean

Well worth the time and money. We purchased tickets at the door.

This was a must do as first time Seattle visitors. The history of the building was more interesting than the needle itself. If you go, purchase the combo tickets package that allows access to 3 or 5 attractions, depending on how much time that you have. The visit to the glass garden was amazing.

Incredible!

By B.E. Garmon |

The Space Needle was absolutely amazing!!! I've seen in on television a million times; but there is nothing like actually being there! 650' doesn't seem like a lot, until you are on top looking down!!! We highly recommend this to anyone who is ever in the vicinity of Seattle!

Incredibly rude service

By Kelly H |

Our time at the Space Needle was disappointing with the rude service we received from the lady serving on the revolving bar. After taking a seat while my family member queued for a drink, she made a point to shame and embarrass us. Understand if we misunderstood the service, but the manner of this lady set out to make us feel uncomfortable with her aggressive tone.

By sandcrab |

Was amazed! Was so glad we had the opportunity to visit. Was the highlight of our weekend in Seattle. So very beautiful and the garden is lovely

Space Needle and Chihuly Garden

By Jerri W |

Space Needle very cool! Employees were all very helpful with the exception of the pie stand. Not friendly in any way however did serve you quickly. Food was really good for fast food. Chihuly I highly recommend! Our whole family loved! Beautiful!

Always Worth the View – Space Needle Near Moritis Shin Dentistry of Seattle

By Moritis Shin Dentistry of Seattle |

After visiting Moritis Shin Dentistry of Seattle, we took a quick 6-minute drive northwest to the Space Needle, and it completely lived up to the hype. The elevator ride up is smooth and fast, and once you step onto the observation deck, the city opens up beneath you. We stayed for sunset, which was spectacular — the colors over the skyline and Elliott Bay were unforgettable. Definitely worth adding to your Seattle itinerary, especially if you’re already in the downtown area.

Gorgeous!

By michaellL4419XG |

Absolutely beautiful and would recommend this to all! The gardens, displays and demo's were amazing . Dale Chihulli is very talented

Fun stop in Seattle with kids.

By Brad T |

Worth the visit if you have never been. Kids ages 9 and 16 both enjoyed it. We opted for the valet parking which made it even easier for a Seattle first timer.

Stunning, a must do

By Napsterthecat |

If in Seattle, the Space Needle is a must do. We had a great time. The views were fantastic, the rotating deck was fun along with the glass bottom floor. I highly recommend.

Clear day at the top of the Space Needle

By kris10suf |

I took my son (9) to WA for a trip to a friend and spend 2 days in Seattle to explore the city first. I bought a CityPass the included 5 tickets to different places. We had the SpaceNeedle and Chihuly Garden and Glass as part of the package. My son loved the glass elevator so he could see us rising to the top. The day had amazing views. The last time I had been here was overcast so we didn't get to see the mountains. We loved walking around the ring and seeing all the sides. He say the kid's playground down below so that became the next destination we visited. It is definitely a must see/do at least once if you will be in Seattle. Also, highly recommend checking out Chihuly Garden and Glass.

Views that can't be beat

By Cathy B |

We were lucky enough to get to the Space Needle right before sunset on a Monday night in early September.

There were relatively few people up at the top which made getting spot with a great view easy. The views, themselves, were outstanding.

And if the views weren't enough, you could go down a floor and stand on a glass floor as it slowly rotates. Very, very cool.

If you wanted something to nibble on or to whet your whistle, there were several options up top and places to sit while you sip your drink and absorb the views.

Visit for sunset - you won't regret it!

By ChrisThinks |

Visited the Space Needle at sunset - highly recommend going during this time as the views are spectacular throughout the whole process. Also, going to the Chihuly Gardens at nighttime is the best time to see it. The glass is lit up brilliantly. Just be careful of the time if you're doing it this way so you don't miss out on the gardens!

Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens

By Cris J. Peralta |

This place is awesome and one of the first places to visit when in Seattle. Definitely recommend getting the combo ticket with the Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens because that's a must see as well

Way too expensive

By Tom L |

I know the devil’s lettuce is legal here but how much Mary Jane have they been smoking to charge 40+ dollars per person. I mean really what the heck. Luckily taking pictures from the ground is free.

Excellent experience

By sudhakar d |

Purchasing of online tickets with discounts and its very easy show the generated bar code with Facilities dept at the entrance and it quick and you will have an awesome experience at both the places. I have been on Thursday the crowds are less , No Wait time at all.

The view is pretty awesome

By Megs867 |

The visited in the early 2000’s and again earlier this month. The rotating glass floor is new since my original visit. There is a great view from the space needle, places to sit and have a pricey snack while you take in the views. You can also step outside and see the views in the open air. If you’re up for taking the stairs down they give you a free T-shirt (up to size xxl).

Double Delight

By AliciaMaui |

We enjoyed the iconic Seattle Space Needle/Chihuly Exhibit combo and appreciate the great price from TA.

Check in was a breeze and the staff was very helpful. The timeline along the queue was informative and easy to read. We only waited 30 minutes to get up the elevator for beautiful views and a glass of bubbly.

Then off to check out the wonderful indigenous people craft booths and beautiful music on the way to have lunch at the Chihuly Bar. Decent food and great drinks.

Back around to enter the Chihuly exhibition, which was very well done. Having seen some of the pieces at the Biltmore in NC, it was an interesting juxtaposition. Also adored the use of indigenous artwork alongside the Chihuly pieces. Well done. Staff was helpful and it was easy to navigate the space. The garden area was a visual pleasure with the integration of glass sculpture and nature.

The park area around these attractions was well maintained and impressively clean. My only negative is that we had dinner plans, and would have loved more time to explore.

George Jetson's Seattle Home!

By Mike G |

Great view of Seattle and surrounding areas. The Space Needle is in a park along with the Chihuly Gardens and Glass, the MUSEUM of Pop Culture, and other attractions. This is handicapped and family friendly attraction.

As you enter the ramp that leads to the elevator there is a large display on the wall that illustrates the building of the Space Needle. I think the engineers in the crowd will find it very interesting!

Good view of Seattle

By jrzj42 |

Good view of Seattle. It was a cloudy day, so the city views were decent, but anything beyond 12 - 15 miles were obscured by clouds (see pics). The Needle is part of other attractions on the property - notably Chihuly.

By Michele |

This Chihuly exhibit was smaller than some but his art is incredible. There was a glass blowing presentation outside while we were there. It’s inside and outside. The needle was much more than I expected. There’s a great shop downstairs to buy souvenirs. You have to make an appointment but you can do it when you get there. We did that. We got our tickets and waited in a long line. There’s a lot of photos on the ramp to the elevator that showed the construction. Those guys were not afraid of heights! The elevator ride has a glass wall but if you’re afraid you can just move to the back, inside there’s an amazing view. Look for the huge spider on top of one of the buildings. Lots of photo opps. Go down 1 floor and there’s a revolving glass floor! Scary!!! But so cool! It was so much more than I ever imagined it would be. You can get some food and drinks there. But for a hefty price.

Tall

By bcheong |

Built in 1962 for the World’s Fair and has remained an icon since. The typicall tall tower and you get views of the city, water and Mount Rainier

By beasanta13 |

Great experience, it took a long time to stand in line but it was worth it. Our scheduedule time what 2:50pm and whe arrived like to hours before, we got our tickets at the needle ticket booth and then proceeded first to the Chihuly glass exposition. We definitely recommend to so both. Loved Seattle, cleaned city with nice people.

AWESOME!

By TempeGirl |

Beautiful glass and gardens. Highly recommend. We enjoyed the gardens as much as the museum. Also enjoyed the glass blowing demo.

Spectacular views both places!

By woj5 |

The glass museum was insanely beautiful!! I don’t typically like museums and every corner I turned was a WOW! The Space Needle had spectacular views on this beautiful day!

Family trip to Seattle.

By Caryl P |

Glass museum was incredible as was space needle. Both very efficient and well run. Employees knowledgeable and friendly.

By kelleyyoung033 |

Great views as you can imagine. It’s something you should do once in your lifetime but definitely a tourist trap.
The rotating floor was cool but if you get whoozie from heights and looking that far down at the ground - it’s a little strange.

Fascinating

By kiara g |

Nice experience! 360-degree view of the city. During busy periods the wait to climb is about an hour, but I would say it is worth it.

By liketotravelII |

First of all, the easiest way to get there is park in a parking garage in downtown (ours was Pacific Place all day $12) and ride the monorail for $4 ($2 if senior or military). The Space Needle had a bit of a wait to get a timed entry but the view was wonderful. A little disappointed in the small availability of lunch snacks once up there. The glass floor revolved and was amazing. Our favorite was the Chihuly Glass and Garden next door. We could have spent much more time there. Expect to spend 2 hours. Ride the monorail back downtown and it’s an easy walk to Pike Place Market and the new walkway to the waterfront.

Chihully doesn’t disappoint

By Nan R |

Well worth the visit. Visually stunning. Breathtaking beauty in each room. Lovely gardens, the glass component would be even more stunning in the evening, if open.

Breathtaking!

By lillian c |

The Space Needle is fantastic. The Observation Deck allows visitors the opportunity to take as much time as desired to enjoy the visit. The view is breathtaking.

Panoramic

By Feverboy73 |

Amazing views of Seattle. Long queue despite having pre-booked tickets online. We waited 45 mins in the queue. Nice 360 degree views. We decided to beat the queue for the elevators coming down and walked the stairs. Halfway down you get given a t-shirt having conquered the stairs!

I always love to visit Seattle for fun and food.

By Ree M |

Good place to go visit on the nice day. Seattle has so many thing to do to see to eat. has so many easy for parking. Don't forget to ask for discount

Good views

By LDN_chica |

This is a beautiful piece of architecture and the views of the city are great...it is a must visit on your city visit. However, for a family of 4, the cost is extremely expensive+overpriced, nearly $300 for a view. There is a cafe up at the top and the next floor down has a revolving floor which is fun to see - if you are in a couple you could get a drink and slowly go around the needle. Make sure you exit towards the nearby food stalls outside and not towards the taxi rank side like we did, as we found ourselves crossing the road towards McDonalds and struggled to find a place to eat - tea/coffee cafe had no food, Subway was dirty.

Great experience

By Janene Simpson |

It was a well organized activity however the queue was very long so expect this when booking other activities afterwards.
With your ticket barcode you can take a photo from the top level glass floor. There is also a lovely place for drinks & food.

Great experience

By NadineB |

Stunning views from Space Needle and beautiful glass art at Chihuly garden! Well worth the visit. Don't miss and plan enough time for both

Fast and Easy.

By Renee S |

If you are in Seattle, you must go to the top of the needle. With reservations, it is fast and it is easy. Walk right in at your set time. There may be a line, but the line moves fast and the elevator up is super-fast.

Must go

By Oliver |

The Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass combo ticket was an incredible experience — definitely worth it! The views from the Space Needle were breathtaking, giving a full panoramic look over Seattle and beyond. It’s a must-visit landmark and even better at sunset.

The Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit was stunning — the artwork is absolutely mesmerizing, especially with the way the glass sculptures play with the light. The indoor and outdoor displays are beautifully presented and full of vibrant colour and creativity.

A perfect combination of iconic views and artistic beauty — highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Seattle!

Chihuly Glass and Gardens

By Coastal64574240755 |

This was my favourite place that I visited in Seattle. We bought the citypass through Tripadvisor so that made our stay more affordable - highly recommend this method of admisson if you are planning on seeing a lot of tourist attractions. We did a self guided tour so you can set your own pace. The atmosphere is artisticly insiring. The amount of people in the museum is well contolled so you can examine each piece closely and not feel closed in. The entrance staff was very pleasant however they should enform you at the gate not to touch the platforms under the glass if you are taking photos ( I don't mean walking or crawling on them, but just touching them for balance if you are taking photos) the security)guards were aggresive. The art was truly amazing. I would definely recommend to anyone visiting Seattle.

A must see when you're in Seattle

By Latasha R |

I was skeptical of the Chihuly glass garden at first. I thought it was just something to pass the time, but it was actually very nice. The exhibits were beautiful. There was also a live demonstration of the glass blowing process. It was a great way to pass the time as we waited for our entrance time at the Space Needle.

The view from the Space Needle were beautiful. It was a clear and sunny day so we were able to see Mt. Rainier clearly. We took a lot of great photos from the observation deck. It was definitely a highlight during our trip!

Awful experience. Super, super long wait.

By SN A |

The ground staff was very nice overall but we waited for over two hours to et up. Then, when we finally got up, it was okay, but to get back down we had to wait a whole nother hour. Awful. Embarrassing to take my clients there.

By Travel440609 |

Offered a great view of Seattle. Also the blown glass sculptures in the Chilhuhy Gardens were amazing. Overall Avery good time.

By EdandJg |

Brilliant to see what can come from a persons imagination, from someone who is able to conceive something never created before.

By Faith Wilkins |

Toured this wonder with my husband last summer. I am fearful of heights but I was able to take nice pics and not be afraid from falling

The architecture is amazing and it’s a nice treat to see the city skyline this way

Can get crowded as the day goes on

The souvenir shop comes off a-bit costly would prefer to purchase someplace cheaper

All in all a great treat

Took a few hours to walk through and sight see

Fantastic View!

By OBXLOKAL |

I suppose going up the iconic structure is a must do, so we did. Bought CityPass and it was a bit of a pain to actually get tickets to go up, maybe we did something wrong but thought we were saving time, we didn't. Anyway once the ticket mess was situated, there was quite a line, moved pretty quickly. Weather was perfect, skies clear and the view magnificent. Down the steps to the revolving glass floor, not for everyone but diffidently a cool view. Had to wait a bit on the elevator down, it was a busy day and lots of people. I'd recommend it at least once!

Great experience from up high

By King C |

This was great! You have to do this when in Seattle. Great view of the city. It was rainy day but we’re still able to see all the islands and the city. It was a great experience; however, food in the Space needle is Expensive!!!

By Dr Victoria N |

The Space Needle was quiet and we didn’t have to wait. It was a bit rainy so not a very clear but still an amazing view.

The Chihuly Gardens was amazing. A must for any art lovers. Very informative audio tour that can be downloaded via a QR code. Beautiful pieces of glass on display. Having previously seen the ceiling at the Bellagio in Vegas and the pieces in the glass house at Kew Gardens in London. It was interesting to see how it all started. Restaurant on site had an eclectic mix of various collections from accordions from the ceiling to a wall of vintage radios.

be careful of their ticket kiosks

By Jon W |

I used a ticket kiosk that didn't print me a ticket and had to use another one. so I paid 2x to go up. I was told to go to the customer care window & I could get a refund which I don't believe anymore they processed. I would strongly recommend not using a kiosk and wait for a person at the ticket window. its been almost 3 weeks a bank would have refunded by now.

worth the wait!

By Brooke O |

worth the wait! Allow an hour or more to line up. Once you're up its worth it and interesting reading about the history of the needle while you wait

By Janie C |

A must when visiting Seattle. Chihuly’s glass art is amazing and unique. We were there on a Friday night and enjoyed live music, pizza, and beer, and a glass blowing demonstration in the art garden. This was an unexpected surprise! The Space needle was so interesting as well. Be prepared for a wait in line, but it’s worth it for the views.

By Yadira N |

It was absolutely awesome!! Great views. The Chihuly Graden astonishing!! It was worth the trip abosuletly recomended.

You don't want to miss this!

By S V |

My husband and I did the combo Space Needle/Chihuly tour and greatly enjoyed both. Despite a forecast for a rainy Sunday, it was only cloudy and a bit windy and we had no wait to ascend the Space Needle. The 360 views of Seattle were great and we walked around twice to take it all in and get some good pics. Don't miss the rotating glass floor opportunity before leaving. From there we went to the Chihuly Garden. Being familiar with his work, we were really looking forward to visiting. It did not disappoint! The glass works were extraordinary, in both inside and outside settings, and the audio guide/available staff presentations informative and interesting. Staff were friendly and helpful. Don't miss it.

By Dianne B |

The Space Needle is a must see. Great views and we enjoyed ice cream and apple pie at the top. The glass museum was amazing. The sculptures were unbelievable. We were there on a Monday afternoon and there were no lines.

Space needle

By J Teter |

Nice trip combination. We were in and out of the attractions without a long wait. The glass museum was spectacular. Beautiful.

Space Needle and Chihuly Garden

By Jason F |

We had a wonderful time on the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden combination tour today!
Beautiful and well worth it!
Definitely Recommended!!

By Andrew S |

I bought the tickets through the website thinking I could avoid the lines. Not so. You just get a ticket voucher and have to wait in the same line as everyone else to get tickets. No advantage. Had to wait 20 minutes in line for tickets and then 45 minutes in line for an elevator.
The venue of course was great! spectacular views!

The main attraction of Seattle

By P B |

The view of the city is awsome on 360. You can walk either outside or inside the tower. You can even try to walk on the glass floor if you are brave enough. There is a souvenir boutique downstairs. Around the Space Needle, you can find some food concessions. You can also buy your tickets on the spot via ticket machines. Pick your time and up you go.

Trapped in elevaor for 1.5 hours, no refund or compensation

By Quig |

No trip to Seattle would be complete without a trip up the Space Needle, right? Wrong. After paying $50pp for my family with included two toddlers 1 and 2 years old, we crammed 17 adults and two toddlers into an elevator that would comfortably hold 10 people, they kept saying "Move your feet, we can fit more" as we were loading. Near the top, our elevator malfunctioned and we were trapped inside for 1.5 hours. There was definitely not room to squat, sit or, God forbid, change a diaper if that situation arose. This caused us to miss the Mariners game which we had planned to attend after. And both babies only wanted thier Mama to hold them, causing my daughter in law to stand holding two kids the entire time just hoping that neither would have a melt down in such cramped quarters. Upon our rescue, finally exiting at the top, we were told a refund would be issued either by emailing a customer service address given to us or going back to the box office. After exiting, I returned tothe box office and went thru the process of refund and was told it would be issued in 3-5 business days. It was not. I called and emailed several times to no avail. There was another couple in the elevator that most likely missed thier flight home. No compensation, no refund, horrible and uncomfortable experience. Shame on you Space Needle LLC

Must see Space Needle

By Tynisha M |

Space Needle is a must see attraction! Giving you breathtaking views of Seattle and surrounding water and cities! Doing the early morning slot allows you to come back at night to get the same view at sunset, well worth it!!

By wlivornese |

Great views from up above. Fun picture opportunity with the birds and at a great price! Definitely a must do when in Seattle.

By Glen V |

Needle / Chihuly Glass and Garden Combo Tickets best deal. Factor in the weather and book your visit for the best possible day. If you do, your experience will be amazing. The 365 degree views from the Needle are second to none. Purchasing the seats in the rotating bar area was worth the $$. Especially, the visual through the glass floor. Nothing can prepare you for that feeling.. With the bright sunshine and uniquely colored glass artwork our pictures turned out beautifully. The interior exhibits are shockingly beautiful with stunning details and unbelievably intricate designs.

Two iconic places with one ticket

By ViaggiatoreGoloso |

The Space Needle is the symbol of Seattle: you can not miss a visit to the panoramic observatory that allows you to admire the whole city at 360 °. Possibility of outdoor exit and photos on glass benches, as well as walking on the floor that allows you to look down to the ground. There is also the possibility to take photos at specific points and download them to your phone. You can't miss the tour in the gift shop on the ground floor before going out.
In the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum, you can admire many works of art made of glass. The works are exhibited in various rooms where the strategic use of lights in dark environments makes them even more beautiful. There is also an outdoor section where the works are displayed directly in the garden. We also took advantage of the outdoor bar and the beautiful temperature to relax with a beer in company.

10/10 Recommend

By HH_KY_91 |

Worth the trip. Gorgeous views - especially on a sunny day. And then Chihuly. Highly recommend - can’t beat it for places to see in downtown Seattle.

Fantastic Tour

By Great Lakes P |

This was absolutely beautiful to see and to learn about how Chihuly makes the designs. I have been to Murano glass in Italy, so it was neat to learn Chihuly, apprenticed there to learn to blow glass. It is breathtaking and so worth while!! it’s a must do in Seattle

By Shavian56 |

We were fortunate that we had clear blue skies and so we could see for miles from the Space Needle. It was not overcrowded and people kept clear when taking photos.
Chihuly has to be seen to believe. What imagination

A Few Tips About the Space Needle

By Marty Bielicki |

There has been over 69 million people that have traveled to the 520-foot Observation Deck. The 45 millionth visitor received two free trips for two to Paris—You may be lucky to be the 70 millionth visitor!

Going to the top is one of those iconic must do activities—at least once—while visiting Seattle. We would recommend that you wait to buy your ticket the day of—praying for good weather. We went on a cloudy day and missed the seeing Mount Rainier and Mount Baker views.

We also recommend bundling your ticket with viewing Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit nearby. We thought visiting Chihuly to be as exciting as the Seattle Space Needle. The glass displays are incredible. If you ever been in the foyer of Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, you know what we mean.

Built in 400 days for the 1962 World’s Fair, the elevator up only takes 43 seconds going 10 mph. We went early in the morning and the crowds were less. My wife has claustrophobia and was able to tolerate the elevator ride.

There are numerous plagues of information. Large glass windows will allow you to see 360 degrees around. There is a ticket available to let you to go up in the day time and later at night if you wish. The SkyCity Restaurant at the time of our visit was not open. We did experience the Observation Tower rotating one mile an hour. It rotates once every 45 minutes.

We recommend taking the Bainbridge ferry from Pier 50 and seeing downtown Seattle and the Needle at night. For only $10 dollars, it is the best deal in Seattle.

The Hyatt House Seattle/downtown is one of the closest hotels to the Needle. It is a decent 3-star hotel with breakfast. A number of the rooms we found have views of the Needle.

If you found this review “helpful” in any way, please click the “thumbs-up” icon to let me know.

By TravelerGabe |

This experience was very cool! I always wanted to visit the Seattle Space Needle when I was a kid and finally got to do it. The rotating floor and the different levels made it a neat experience. Getting the combined ticket to visit the glass exhibits next door was also a good choice. The sculptures are very impressive and it surprised me of how cool it was!

Stunning views

By HealyTribe |

I am so please we waited until 3.00 for our trip up the Space Needle, as by this time the clouds had cleared, the sun was shining and the views were unspoilt.
Lots of information on the way up to the top and a massive gift shop. Amazing views from the top - loved the glass benches to sit on up there too. Great views down through the glass floor.
A thoroughly enjoyable visit.

By Yeti1988 |

I came here because it's one of those things you are obligated to do when in Seattle, kind of like going to the Empire State Building in New York. All that being said, it was beyond underwhelming. The views aren't worth the cost of admission. The wait was almost an hour, and then you get crammed into an elevator with 20-25 other people with NO room. Not at all impressed.

By Susan C |

The Space Needle was fantastic. The history of the building of the Space Needle was enthralling and so interesting to learn.

Must See in Seattle!!!

By PJH |

We totally enjoyed the visit to the Space Needle and the Chihuly Gardens! We presented our vouchers and received ticket promptly. Tge line for the Needle was a
Bout 39 minutes but not a bad wait. This is still an amazing structure. The Glass existed interesting and beautiful. Nice value for a great experience.

Two-level viewing but choose a clear day

By xygb7dklt |

Built for the 1962 World’s Fair, its 520-foot round “top house” provides a 360- degree view of Seattle, Puget Sound, distant Mount Rainier and surrounding mountains. But try to choose a sunny day with no haze. It is usually open 8:00AM to 11:00PM seven days a week. Entry fees range from $38 to $49 depending on time of day.
There are two viewing levels – one with slanted floor to ceiling windows and exterior access then, below that, a lower level with a round revolving glass floor (the Loupe) for that straight down view. Not for those with vertigo or a weak stomach.
At the base elevator entry/exit is a large circular (of course) gift shop with a huge selection of everything touristic.

Sold me ticket for closed attraction!

By Robert M |

The Chihuly Glass exhibit was closed for the day you sold me a ticket - need refund! Very disappointing! No opportunity to go now since we leave tomorrow.

By Deborah F |

I would highly recommend going. Well worth the money. The staff are extremely helpful. Plan ahead the lines can be very long. But they do accommodate those with mobility issues.

Iconic Seattle...a Must Do

By melody_nell6 |

An iconic Seattle experience. Absolutely beautiful view of the city and the sound. The rotating glass floor is fun and makes you a little queasy if heights aren't your thing. We did upgrade to the fast pass once there due to some time contraints and the long lines up and down and it was totally worth it! The Chihuly Gardena and Glass portion is beautiful and just a lovely space to walk through.

Once in a Lifetime Trip!!

By Deanna B |

They were both Amazing!! Can’t believe I walked on the revolving glass floor!
The glass garden and museum SPECTACULAR!!

Must-do

By Tara R |

This is a must-do in Seattle! I was surprised how quickly the line moved - it seemed long as it took up about half the outside queue, but the timestamp on my first picture up there was about 30 mins after we got in line (1:30 on a Sunday). The gift shop had a lot of really unique items!

Overpaid

By Heidi B |

Overpaid on Trip Advisor! There is no need to purchase ahead of time. Just go to the ticket counter on site and pay $5 less per person. This museum is well worth it when purchased together with the Space Needle. Awe inspiring. Check out after dark to see garden light up

Valentines Day Date

By Travel25346533585 |

My Lady surprised me with a Valentines Day Date on top of the Space Needle. We went here for Lunch. The weather was Sunny and Cloudless. We had terrific Views. The Food was Excellent. We will definetely visit the Space Needle again. Perhaps Dinner next time to enjoy Seattle all lite up at Night.

By Rich R |

Great visit, wonderful views. The moving glass floor was fantastic. Recommend everyone visit. The whole park is worth a visit.

View and height

By Eva |

Building about 180 m high with a beautiful view of the city, the sea and, in the background, Mount Rainier. The top with the glass floor gives a concrete view of the height. Very pleasant to stay in the rotating area with restaurant and bar to enjoy the view on the move while staying still

Observations

By mobilecoble |

Prepare to stand in line 30 minutes to get a time to board elevators, then Stand in line for another hour before getting to the elevators. Also, Chihuly museum was nice but nothing I haven’t seen during his tours in other cities. We had a nice time at the top but if I knew how much time is wasted by waiting around, I would’ve skipped it.

What is not to like - great view and very easy

By family-from-Scotland |

Amazing view from the high point of the space needle- slick and easy tickets available at the site. Good photo explanation of the history and fabulous views.

By Lee L |

The views from the Space needle were breathtaking! And Chiluly , glass museum, just amazing! Most definitely recommend this as a must see for any Seattle trip

Amazing experience with fantastic views.

By Ginger C |

This tourist trap is worth the visit! We loved it. The views are amazing on a clear day. We loved the rotating room and just looking out over the water and the city. We were there on a day with perfectly clear skies and could see Mt. Rainer perfectly. The line was quick considering how many people were visiting. If you want to take the stairs down you need to sign a waiver and wear closed toe shoes.

Panoramic Views of Seattle

By C945FKstevee |

Good views and no lines in October. If you need to eat, do it outside the venue. The pies they sell inside are expensive and not that good.

What a view!

By pittbrendat |

We really enjoyed the Space needle. This is always a great way to see a city - from up above the skyline. It was a clear day so we were blessed to see Mt Rainier too.

We enjoyed a drink in the revolving observatory deck and got some GREAT pictures. A very memorable experience.

By Jane D |

Great double attraction venue. Lived there Seattle Needle and Chihuly exhibit. Did both attractions back to back and staff at both were helpful and friendly.

By James L |

Space needle was good, panoramic views were nice. However, Chihuly glass was AMAZING and made the combo ticket absolutely worth it! And, The Bar was great, super good food quality, awesome cocktail selection and service was solid. Highly recommend!

No regrets !

By Maryann W |

Aside from the very long line (30 minute wait), the experience was wonderful. The pictorial story of its history was a good distraction from the heat and waiting. It's a once in a life time view from a land-based structure so high up. The revolving glass floor was thrilling and scary both at the same time. Fantastic views of the city. Food options super, the apple pie and vanilla custard were scrumptious.

Amazing Experience

By Misty J |

Really enjoyed the space needle. We had tickets for 1:15, but got there at 12:30 and they let us go. We stood in line about 20 minutes. We took the elevator up and stood right at the window. We were lucky and Mt Rainier was out and it was beautiful! We walked around the observation floor for about 30 minutes. We then went down to the glass, rotating floor. Once we were done, we decided to walk down the 800 steps instead of the elevator. This was a big highlight! If able, l would suggest doing this. We even got a free t-shirt for doing it. We spent about 2 hours here.

Treat Yourself to the iconic Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass. Both are an Unbelievable Experience!

By Alise M |

If you come to Seattle, you must go to the Space Needle - it's iconic. Only by visiting it for yourself is how you actually experience it. It's a must.

The Chihuly Garden and Glass is next door to the Space Needle, so see them both. I was blown away with the glass exhibit - truly beautiful and mindboggling. Such creativity and raw talent turning glass into unbelieveable colorful art. I will definitely go back because I may have missed something - and that would be a tragedy. GO!

City at night was beautiful

By Janice H |

Went up in the space needle at night as we arrived late into Seattle. City lit up at night was beautiful. Would recommend to visitors

Overpaid

By Heidi B |

Overpaid $5 each with Trip Advisor. Purchase tickets at the box office at the base of the Space Needle. There is no need to reserve tickets ahead of time. You will still need to get in line. They will quote 1 hour 30 min. wait time, but it was really 45 min. The tour is well worth it, just don't purchase from Trip Advisor.

Take the challenge and walk down!!!

By Helen L |

Wait time was actually quite long despite having timed entry tickets which was a bit frustrating. However it was a fun adventure because we took the challenge and walked down the 800 stairs and on the day we went got a free T shirt for doing so!

Buy in person instead

By Michael C |

Don't bother getting this package because it's more expensive than at the line and you still have to wait in the ticket line to redeem them

Worth visiting, great views

By corme2 |

It's worth visiting for the views across the city and coastline. It was busy but well organised.
The rotating glass floor was good.
Drinks expensive, but you could get water refills.
If you walk down the stairs, which was quite an easy decent with vig steps, you get a t-shirt.

By Chris K |

You can' t go wrong with either of these attractions. The views were fantastic and the employees at both were very kind and helpful.

If in Seattle, one must visit the Space Needle.

By MichiganMom71 |

On our first visit to Seattle, we had to visit this iconic landmark. They have timed entry, so that helps control the crowds, but we still waited about 40 minutes to get up to the top of the needle. The views were lovely and the lower rotating floor was a lot of fun, with its glass floor and handy selfie spots. Definitely worth seeing at least once.

Highly Recommend

By Robert D |

A must to do if in Seattle. The views are stunning for the 360 deg. It is more than worth the cost. Staff very informative and polite.

Overpaid

By Heidi B |

Overpaid on Trip Advisor. Purchase at the box office at the bottom of the needle. There is no need to purchase on this site ahead of time. It IS worth it to go up! When you pick up your tickets, they will quote you 1 hour 30 min. wait in line, but it really only took 45 min.

Two fun attractions!!

By Texrunner7 |

Both stops beat our expectations by a lot. We were lucky that the nearby forest fires didn't limit visibility too much at the Space Needle. It also wasn't crowded, but it was Tuesday. We spent probably 90 minutes up at the top. The AC was very helpful since it was in the upper 80s. Loved the QR photo stops.
The Chihuly Gardens is just mind blowing (pun intended). With each room we were in awe. We actually sat through 2 glass blowing demonstrations with Alton and Ash that are held at the top of the hour. Alton even did a horse for us since we told him about a trip to Murano, Italy where we saw them do that there. Then watched as he put it back in the molton glass. If you are there later in the day, look for reflections of the Space Needle in the glass balls in the outdoor gardens.
Fantastic day at both stops!

very pretty

By blonnka |

Great place to go, beautiful and creative artwork! Be sure to bring your phone and earbuds, as a downloadable self guided walking tour is included free with your ticket.

They also have a great little glassblowing show outside. We are not into glass blowing, etc., but still found this interesting.

Get the Combo Tickets!

We were at the Space Needle on a beautiful clear day and the views were fantastic. The revolving glass floor was a fun feature and, if you're not too afraid of heights, the plexiglass benches on the outer deck were great spots for photos. We highly recommend getting the combo tickets for the Needle and Chihuly. Since the entry to the Needle is timed, you could easily take in the Chihuly while you wait for your time on a busy day. The exhibits at the Chihuly were amazing and the restaurant was an interesting and comfortable place for a nice lunch.

Beautiful views and gorgeous glass art.

By Dawn R |

The Space Needle tests your fear of heights when you walk out on the glass, revolving floor. Beautiful views. We went on a Friday so the crowds were manageable. Chihuly Glass Gardenss was absolutely amazing. The lighting made it nearly impossible to take a bad picture.

Had to do it

By Bryan L |

Went up there to see and go up the space needle. If in Seattle it is high recommended just because! I am not a fan of heights but it was worth going up there. Beautiful views all around of course. Plus if you go, you can say you went up there!

By Emily L |

The Space Needle is iconic, so I can’t say that I’m not glad we went, but the Chulily museum and garden were so much more interesting to me. They are currently working on modernizing the elevators, so that is probably why the wait was miserably long at the Space Needle. The museum has no waiting, ample room to move around and plenty to see. We got to see part of a demonstration in the garden - blowing, shaping, etc and it was amazing.

Iconic space age building

By BlarghBlargh |

What an iconic building - there's plenty of information downstairs and then you can walk around on the upstairs viewing deck, which ever so slowly moves. After also being to Willis Tower in Chicago on our trip, don't expect the views a more modern taller building will offer, but I feel if you're in Seattle you need to visit this iconic, of-its-time building. My only issue is that there is glass/plastic up on the outside decking area too - it was raining when we came so it means you really couldn't get many decent photos due to the rain drops being on the barriers; best to try come on a sunnier day if you're more flexible on timing than we were. You can also get a combination ticket with the Chihuly Garden and Glass, which is well worth a visit.

Great view from up top

By Karen C |

It is expensive to go to the observation deck. Even more so to eat at the restaurants, but if only in Seattle once, you just have to bite the bullet and do it.

A wonderful experience

By Traveler23384669631 |

The view is amazing. It was a clear day and we could see Mt Ranier. The top floor is spectacular. One floor down is even better in a sunny day as there’s less glare. Highly recommend the Space Needle and Chihuly Museum combo - and lunch at The Bar.

By Rik1410 |

Another Seattle must-see. Amazing views of the city from this tower built in the 1960s. You can eat something upstairs and it has a turntable. I recommend taking the entrance combined with the Chihuly glass museum. It is cheaper than buying the two tickets separately.

Fun but plan on extra time.

By sharonphil |

Views were very good but waiting in line was more than we expected with a reserved time to arrive. Staff at ticket counter were so so but elevator attendant was very nice and helpful.

Space Needle is over the Top!!!

By DannyWasserman |

We visited the Space Needle in Seattle recently and were not disappointed. This is a marveled feat that was built for the World's Fair in 1962 to welcome guests all over the world. You can buy a combo ticket to see the Needle and the Garden Glass Museum. Its well worth. The needle takes you up to 600 feet above the ground and you can walk around and get 360 degrees look at the Seattle, Washington area. There is also a restaurant up there or a beer bar and get some light snacks. This is a must see and do in this area.

By mjdoyle |

Chihuly Gardens is definitely a must see. Absolutely stunning works of art. No lines for either activities on a late Tuesday afternoon.

Great memories!

By Lori G |

Chihuly museum was better than expected! Friendly staff. Space needle was great loved the glass floors. Buying tickets ahead of time and having everything ready was convenient!

Great experience

By Jane M |

The view from the space needle is wonderful. You can see the harbor and it is fun to look through the glass floor. I think the glass gardens were awesome.

Worth every penny to go to the top

By WorldTraveler |

It doesn't matter the price, it is worth it to go the top. The views up there are spectacular; you get to see the whole city, and beyond. It is really interesting to be on a rotating floor as well.

By Christy L |

4/5 because we had to wait in the ticket purchase to redeem the voucher. It was not clear where to go when we got to the space needle. The glass was amazing!

Gardens of Glass

By Kalena L |

This is the second time I’ve been and love the exhibit. It’s unfortunately a relatively short exhibit for the current price of the tickets and was extremely crowded. But we were able to still enjoy the art and have some beautiful photos to look back on as momentos.

ICONIC AND UPDATED

By roosevelt323 |

3RD TIME AROUNG FOR US. THE EXTERNAL UPGRADE WITH PLEXI GLASS IS A PLUS. IT ADDS TO THE EXPERIENCE. ONCE YOU WALK AROUND THE ENTIRE PERIMETER... JUST CHILL IN THE LOUNGE AND HAVE A CUP OF COFFEE AND TAKE IT ALL IN. DONT RUSH. TAKE YOUR TIME AND TAKE LOTSA PICS. NOVEMBER TO FEBRUARY IS USUALLY NOT SO BUSY. WEVE DONE THE JULY TRIP AND THAT WAS CHALLENGING

By Emily C |

When we checked in we were able to get in line right away. The line moved quickly and there was a lot of information to read along the way. The gardens and gallery were beautiful.

One of a Kind

By Diver Dan |

Right next to the space needle, but huge attraction in its own right, even with the high ticket prices. We had actually seem his work at the Bellagio and thought it was weird in that over the top Vegas way. This museum puts it in a better context. He has a big interest in the union of glass and gardens. There was a live demo going on as well. His collection of Indian artifacts and photos also museum worthy.

By Trail555479 |

Beautiful experience at Chihuly Gardens. Spent 2 hrs there. Space Needle wait was 45 minutes even though I had purchased tickets several days ahead of time.

By klutzWestBend |

A great experience. Entry was handled well. A good idea to get there early. We bought ticket at 9 am. Chairs to sit and view. Glass floor not as scary as I thought it might be.

Amazing experience

1st time going to Seattle. The views were spectacular. The glass museum is a must as well. Overall an excellent experience

Go there - well worth the experience.

By jmcayrshire |

The views are amazing. The queue was a bit off-putting but we did manage to get up right away. The access for wheelchair users was excellent with a revolutionary set of steps which converted into a lift platform. Excellent. Disabled toilets too!!

By aliditinyak |

We had a wonderful time , The space needle was a different experience and the glass museum was beautiful and beautiful definitely worth the trip.

By nkw4u |

The needle and chihuly were great, but this ticket doesn't help you skip the ticket line. In fact, it makes it slower.
Make sure you catch the glass blowing demonstration!

Well worth a visit but be prepared to queue

By jgjgj2017 |

Really interesting and well worth a visit. Great views on the clear day we attended.
We pre booked rocked for an allocated time but even so had to queue for more than half an hour to get into the lifts. That was on a public holiday bit we were told it is always busy. For double the price you can get to the front.
Great views. We had a clear day so that helps. If you can battle you way through people looking for toHe perfect photo it is a great attraction.
Obviously something going on with pies which I haven’t seen anywhere else in the US but at $15 each plus tip I’m not sure they were worth it.
Worth a visit though.

Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens

By Mitch W |

Took my 91 yr old mom in a wheelchair to visit, very easy to get around. I recommend taking the Monorail there, drops you off at the front door. Space Needle was easy access with wheelchair and the views were excellent. The Chihuly Gardens was easy access also. We have a great appreciation of glass and found the gardens very beautiful. We walked/pushed back to our hotel mostly downhill and mom got to see some of the city, I don't recommend walking there (up hill mostly), Monorail worked great.

Highly recommended

By Alvaro E |

Amazing highly recommend this was a a honeymoon trip and everything we did was so much fun in Seattle all the way to the mountains to the city

Great Experience

By jmsmas |

It's a great way to view the city and surrounding areas. The best part was the clear floor on the lower, rotating section, which gives a unique view. I highly recommended going to the top!
