3 of 175 Best Attractions in Spokane

We took some friends who were visiting from out of state, along the northern side of the Spokane River in downtown. They had no idea that such beauty existed in our part of the world! Great to have coffee shops in Kendall Yards along the way as well! Very proud to show off our home!

Stunning views. Take photos. It’s stunning. Right in downtown. It’s great to walk or run around. Stunning

We've heard a lot about the Spokane Falls and looked forward to seeing them. However, signage to find them is ... non existent. None of the signs we found said which way to go for the best on-foot view. We found the entrance to the Skyride, which are the cable cars going across the falls, but when we walked down the hill towards the falls, all ways were closed or locked. It was like - yeah come look at the Falls - but you have to pay to ride the cable cars to do it! Not much fun with a dog too scared to get on one! The snack bar inside the Numerica Skate Park & Skyride serves cold chilly in pots for $5 and soggy pizza for nearly $4 a slice. And it's also cold. Not impressed. Didn't get to see the falls. Waste of a day.

Although I was in Spokane for a Conference I couldn’t leave without a quick walk through the downtown area and enjoy the Spokane Falls.... simply amazing!!! No words can describe the view. Although the park/walkways were under construction and the gondolas were closed, I was still able to enjoy the view.

Spokane Falls is beyond a doubt the single best attraction, along with Riverfront Park, in Spokane. Take a stroll across a couple of the foot Bridges and see the falls from a variety of angles

Really, you must make an effort to stroll the paths next to Spokane Falls while visiting the area. They are worth your time. Spend at least half an hour strolling and viewing from different points. They are lit at night. I have been in the path at night and felt quite safe. This is good for families or couples or singles. Enjoy the best free show in town!

Dramatic drops at various areas, was surprised at how many there were. Enjoyed especially as a view from Anthony's.

Mother Nature lets you know she is large and in charge here. The roar of the falls in the spring time and the force of the water vibrates your entire sole as you stand nearby. In summer it's the cool spray that is appreciated. Many like to float the river because it's so fun and beautiful. Enjoy but be safe!

Access is easy these days. Upper & Lower falls. Best in Spring but good anything. Local utility must allow the water to run for tourism. Great walk. Lots of eateries etc both sides.

Spokane Falls sits right in the middle of downtown Spokane and you can view it from all sides at Riverfront Park! Even take a gondola ride over the falls! There are scooters and bikes to rent or just put on your walking shoes and go explore! Fun, safe and clean!

The falls are beautiful! The area around the falls has been developed without intruding on the falls. There are different sections for viewing the falls and each is reached from a different street. We didn’t have time to make all the walks around city blocks to get the different or better views which was disappointing. Our stop was nice and done well, though.

The thunder of the roaring water fall, splashes of cool water, and the intensity of the falls are all very over-whelming and consuming. A great experience for all.

The Falls means there's more than one to look at. We took the gondola ride (costs money) as well as using the Avista Corporation's park (free) next to the old brick Washington Water Power building. Both methods are good. The gondola ride stops in various locations as people are loaded into their cars. This offers excellent opportunities for taking photographs.

Connecting to the Centennial Trail, there are many observation platforms to watch and photograph the Falls. There are a few restaurants overlooking the Falls which makes for a great lunch break.

The Spokane Falls are so majestic. We love to walk in the park and listen to the sound of the water cascading off the rocks. Never fails to remind us that Mother Nature will always win, so don't try to outsmart her.
This is a great backdrop to the riverfront park and the busy life in the city. Helps to keep us grounded in nature.

Being from Vancouver, you might expect that I have been surrounded by beauty and cannot appreciate more ... but these falls and hte surrounding area are breathtaking.

The falls and surrounding area is spectacular. The gondola ride is not very long but the views are great! Downtown Spokane is renovated and we enjoyed the breweries and wineries and great food. Don't miss!

My wife and I had a couple hours to spend so we parked nearby and walked around to see different views of the falls. It is a beautiful area for sure...right in the middle of all the hustle/bustle of downtown. There is a lot of construction in the area and it appears like they are building parks and other public areas. I'd love to come back once it is completed. Definitely worth going to see if you have time.

Spokane is a nice walking city. Having double falls in the downtown area creates its own special offerings--restaurants with a view, parks on the water. We liked the fact that you could kayak on a portion of the river at the edge of town.

It's not going to blow your mind when you see Spokane Falls but it is worth a short walk to see them whilst in town. Niagara it ain't but it's pretty

There are two sets of Falls here in downtown Spokane. You can walk or bike along both sides of the falls and they are both very very nice.

The first attraction in Spokane to take is the gondola ride over the Spokane Falls. The ride takes you just over the river and gives you great views of the water coming over the falls. Spokane was built because of the falls and you would be remiss if you did not take this opportunity to see them up close.

Absolutely beautiful waterfalls set in the middle of downtown with a cool bridge running over & a gondola ride allowing you to truly take in the magnificent picture of this stunning piece of nature. Parking is easily found in a garage across the street allowing a fairly quick in & out if you are just driving through!

Wonderful way to spend an evening walking along the riverside to see the Falls. Very well marked. On Wednesday evening there was music in the park adjoining.

We spent some time checking out the falls. Do read the stories on the kiosks at the platform at the bottom of the falls. A great way to spend some time in Spokane.

nice to see and relax by we had fun walking the paths around the park and falls great time to see natures and man coexist.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary in Spokane with family at Anthony's. Beautiful views, excellent food and fantastic service by Rebecca. She just happened to be from Texas so we shared a lot during the evening. It was the first night for the "new" lighting display at the Pavilion across the river and it was fantastic! Would highly recommend this place to others.

When the runoff is hight the sight is beautiful. Anthony restaurant is a good place to eat with a wonderful view, sometimes hard to get patio seating; arrive early

The view & force of the waterfall will take your breath away. You can ride the Sky Ride that goes over the river. Also a beautiful park to walk around.

Firmly the sight of the 74 Worlds fair Spokane has redeveloped this sight to a perfect spot for locals travelers alike. Conference center and cultural centers line one side and great hotels align the other with walking, running and biking areas in between. A darling children’s area also is included. As you enjoy the area you wander down you will come to the lower falls with eateries and shopping

Love this giant beautiful park! And the falls are spectacular! Spokane is a beautiful city! Great place to walk!

Walk across the bridge, feel the spray especially in the spring when runoff is high! The cable car is short and the view from the bridge is equally spectacular!

The falls are always mesmerizing. They are a real showpiece of our city. A 5 minute walk from the center of town brings you to nature’s beauty and power. The suspension bridge gets you very close. During spring runoff the mist is so much fun when it hits you. (You don’t have to stand in a position to be sprayed, but, hey, why not?!) Huntington Park, on the west side of Monroe Street takes you below the falls for a different perspective. There are also some lovely metal sculptures down there.
Definitely worth taking an hour to enjoy.

A walk along the river to Spokane Falls is definitely worth taking. Paved paths, green lawns and lots of stuff for the kids to play on. The falls themselves were nice-not terribly impressive but the walk was wonderful. Definitely a must do if you’re in Spokane.

My friend and I went on our first day in Spokane. The falls are REALLY pretty. They have 2 bridges that cross over the falls...since we both have issues with heights, we did not cross the bridge. If you are in the area, this is worth seeing.

I often ride my bike through Riverfront Park and then on under Monroe St. towards Kendall Yards. I always enjoy treating myself to a ride across the walk bridge in the park to look at the river and a smaller falls. This spot is just east of the Monroe St. Bridge and shows another perspective. Spring time brings a great amount of water flowing over the falls often covering up a huge rock that is very visible at other times of the year. This is a great place to visit and to take visitors to!

We took the 30 minute tram ride over the falls and back. The admission was nominal. It was beautiful! Highly recommend !

Good place for a nice stroll
You can either walk the way down or take the ride from top
They have a skating section just next which you must try and also a small eatery where the service is just excellwnt

Every should have a waterfall. It is a perfect spot for reflection. Spokane is fortunately having one.

Indeed, these Falls provide energy to the city of Spokane. We hiked the river trail as far as we can go for about 5 miles and then back. My kids did some kayaking but avoided the downstream flow. We were told you can also do fishing but didn't see anyone doing it. You can't miss the river in Spokane because it is the story of the place itself.

We love visiting the river front in downtown Spokane. High water, low water, winter, spring, summer or fall! We've been to many world class cities (including Venice, Istanbul, Prague, etc.) and no one has this kind of feature downtown!

Probably one of the best city parks anywhere in America!!! Old carousel that still has the brass ring grab and toss, beautiful ponds, a huge river and the beautiful Spokane Falls complete with trails all along it and an aerial tram that will whisk you over and to the other side and back, ensuring everyone great views of the falls and the Spokane river.

Must see! This is the best time of year to view the Falls! Especially this year with huge mountain snowpack which adds big volume to the river and falls. The only current drawback is the structural reconstruction in the central south side as Riverfront Park continues to improve its great attractions such as the Looff Carousel. Construction doesn’t hurt the falls, though, so plan to walk among them via the numerous pedestrian footbridges. Give yourself at least an hour or two to leisurely meander the mostly flat walkways throughout!

I love watetfalls, so this naturally is a place I really enjoyed. Great area at the park to enjoy yourself.

Stayed the night in Spokane and wanted to take a walk. this is a really great area to walk in. Worth going to see the falls.

Nice winter walk with cable car over falls for family from out of town. Kids also ice skated. Little dicey on ice rink safety.

The Falls are Stunning in the Spring. We often take visitors downtown to visit, picnic and take pictures. Stunning area

You can visit the falls in the park that's as adjacent to downtown Spokane. There's a few walking paths around as well that you can enjoy while visiting the falls.

I love this about this time of year when the water is running strong and the falls are at the peak roar of the season. It is a part of the centennial trail system

We were in Spokane for a weekend visit at the beginning of June. The weather was perfect with daytime highs around 80* and evening temps close to 70*. Perfect! The lights around the falls come on and the view is magical. The days are long and nighttime sneaks up on you.

A visit to Spokane isn't complete without going down to Spokane Falls. Although the best time to see them is in the Spring, I don't think that there is ever a disappointing time.

I walked and walked and walked to find the main falls. The areas are not marked properly and the visitor center person was also not very clear. And there was so much construction going on. I did see the entire falls, starting from the clocktower all the way to the Power Plant. These are just pretty falls, not very high, but the way the water is flowing is just gorgeous. I took the sky ride also (a little over priced and over rated). Definitely worth a visit. Plan to walk a lot!

A nice park and waterfall to scroll through when in Spokane. Some parts of the park are being updated, so a few areas were closed off

Be sure to take the aerial tram over the falls...beautiful scenery and a great way to see river at its mightiest!!!

There are many different angles and views for seeing the falls - from the front, back or looking straight down. There are markes explaining the history Spokane producing electricity from the river and falls. Short walk to see it all.

A few cities in the US can boast a "River Runs Through It" but none can lay claim to the aesthetics provided by the Spokane River crashing through the virtual center of Spokane. Viewing the river from the varied view points gives an experience worth returning to whenever possible. Taking friends and family to enjoy our gem is always a high point of their trip.

If you love waterfalls then this is the place for you! The waterfall are beautiful and peaceful. The nice thing is there is plenty of parking and not a long walk. Also you can enjoy Riverfront Park as well and all the other fun things to do here!

The sky gondola is really reasonable and the view of the falls from above was pretty impressive. It is just a short ride, but we enjoyed it.

I have been to the Spokane area a few times in the past few years but I have not had the time to see the famous Spokane Falls. This time I was on a mission to finally see them. I made all of my business appointments for early morning so I had some time in the afternoon to actually spend some time at the falls. There is plenty of parking nearby on the streets and there are public parking spots nearby. There are gondolas which take you over the falls, bit since it was October they are only available at certain times during the week so I was not able to take a ride. To get to the preferred viewing locations near the falls you have to go done many steps, but the effort is worth it.
There are some very nice views of the falls and the river. You have to walk around to find good vantage points for pictures. There are also signs and information posts around the area where you learn about the falls and the local indigenous culture. This is a great place for a solo visit or a family visit and you could spend a few hours taking it all in. A spectacular spot for an afternoon visit.

The falls are really pretty. There is a network of 3 bridges which cross of the falls to see them. Always a great beauty to see! Parking close by is the hardest thing.

Spokane falls is right downtown so its really a nice place to just spend some time walking around enjoying the falls. There's pedestrian bridges that cross over so you can get a few different views. I always enjoy small cities that have a simple luxury or a park with waterfalls right downtown - its just so charming.

Enjoyed looking down on the falls. Some trails not open or offered detours. Very hot day... avoided one overlook due to homeless folks.

So refreshing to have beautiful waterfalls running through the city very special and the walkways park around is great

as it is with many waterfalls, spring is the best time to visit. the water volume is impressive.
but what is painful about the visit is the accessibility. currently, there are road construction here and there around spokane. so, you cant drive / park / walk as easily. for example, post street bridge is now closed to traffic.
anyway, after meandering about, i finally did the following
1. upper falls
- park here 47.664479, -117.423571 . then walk down to canada island
2. lower falls
- park here 47.660833, -117.423509 . then walk down to huntington park. you will see gondolas plying above you and across the river. another viewpoint is from monroe street bridge, but there is no parking at the bridge, so you need to walk to the bridge
both areas indicated above are paid parking.
#1 can be paid by quarters and mobile.
#2 can only be paid by mobile.

You get to see the falls when you take a hike to riverfront park. The trails and bridges are located so foot traffic in this area is not congested. The falls are not huge--but very nice.

When in Spokane, we were within walking distance from our hotel to the falls. What a lovely way to spend an afternoon or evening. Great place for lots of photos or to just sit and relax.

My wife and I and our puppy visited these falls for the first time, parking on the north side and viewing from that side, along with from the bridge and then from the south side, walking down to the base of the falls.
It was lovely seeing and hearing the water roaring down below and beside us. I hope that Willamette Falls near our home will be accessible and viewable like Spokane Falls.

I absolutely loved seeing this majestic attraction. I am glad I saw it. I think its great that it has running trails and close to my hotel.

Visited this place while wandering around after work. I expected a typical "in city" type of waterfall, but was pleasantly surprised when I got to the Spokane Falls.
The sheer volume and power of these falls is something that must be regarded in person. Quite impressive to say the least. Luckily there are several restaurants or vantage points to simply sit and enjoy them for as long as you want. It does not matter if it is day or night, they're still impressive.

Situated in downtown at a lovely park. Many great viewing areas and fabulous for photography. Easy to walk around and get to each viewing platform.

The highlight of any trip to Riverfront Park is the chance to enjoy a view of the falls. Recent work by the local power company has reworked some of the channels, making the falls much more attractive.
Try to go during the spring spin-off for maximum effect!

Who doesn't like the idea of having a waterfall in the middle of town. It's quite relaxing to watch the water tumble.

There is a very nice park with trails to the bottom of the falls. There is also a gondola ride that takes you to the base of the falls and back to the River Park.

Go to the lower falls - do not miss this. It is a short walk but it is worth the time. The water is powerful. Enjoyed walking about Riverside Park, but it is under a lot of construction currently which made it not as cool as normal. But the falls are always my favorite.

We went on an extremely hot afternoon in July. Luckily, we parked in the shade! The waterfalls are powerful with small water areas all around the magestic forces. You can walk across the bridge to get an idea of the impact. Read all of the history panels around the waterways and you can see how they used the energy. Lots of construction going on in the park, so it was hard to figure the area out. The mall was right next to the park, so we went in for some cool air.

Pausing to view the Spokane Falls is definitely something to do when in Spokane. Especially during high water weeks in springtime is this amazing to see. Several bridges allow fantastic up close views of the falls and see the power and strength of nature.

We walked over the bridge to get to the Spokane Arena from the Davenport and WOW what a site. The water was really beautiful and a real plus on our walk.

The falls are wonderful to see at various times of the year. They are huge during spring runoff. The view from the bridge is very special and a wonderful tourist attraction.

Beautiful falls in the middle of the city. You can walk to the falls and enjoy the view or ride the Sky ride and get the aerial view. No matter which you choose its beautiful and always flowing with fresh freezing cold water.

How amazing, the town has the falls in the centre. We took heaps of photos. We spent some time walking around, really nice Arawak.
Amazing falls in the centre of town. A must see if in Spokane.
We took a lot of photos.

Great area for all ages. Lots to see. I think most people can see it in a half day. If you are in Spokane, it is worth the time. Lots of good restaurants to choose from.

This waterfall is part man-made, there's an electric power plant generating electricity off the falls. The falls itself isn't the greatest, but it's amazing that it's the centerpiece of town. You have the choice of taking the view in from the SkyRide or by hiking downside along it. There are nice sculptures and informational signs along the hike down to the falls. This falls is also on the outskirts of an amazing park and also borders the downtown area, so make sure to check them out also.
FYI, regarding parking, it may have been a special event the Sunday we went, but we had to pay $12 parking for the day.

Spectacular - High Run off, Spring season more outstanding then usual. Nice paths and parkways to view this amazing piece of history, easily walk able from any downtown hotel.

We went in August so the water is pretty far down - and it's still an impressive site. I can only imagine how thunderous this would be with the spring run off. There's a well developed walkway (with a lot of stairs) that gets you all the way down from the top to the bottom. It's a good hike - we were all dripping when we got back up top. This is a good place for some photos.

Park has a lot of construction until sometime in 2019.....but you can get in to see the Falls. When the entire park is open.....a gem !

We used the gondola to view the falls. The distance on it was short but it stopped frequently to allow views of the different levels of the falls. The falls were beautiful

Falls are pretty, but the obnoxious drunken teens and young adults ruin this park. Blaring music, yelling, cursing (how many time do I have to listen to the F word?).

This year the snow run off from this last winter made the river really high and spectacular to watch. The falls were full and mesmerizing, almost dizzying to watch. While walking across the bridges you get sprayed a bit from the falls below. That was really cool when it was so hot outside (almost 100 degrees in August when we went). The park was green and clean and a really nice walk. We ate at Anthony's because we could watch the falls while we ate lunch and have a cocktail. It was a wonderful way to enjoy the afternoon. My visiting friends really enjoyed themselves. I was really in awe of the Spokane Falls this year.

We were traveling through Spokane and didn't have a lot of time, so this was a great stop for us! We walked across the bridges and enjoyed the surrounding area. The falls are interesting with all the pools and different directions the water goes.

Spectacular downtown attraction with a riverside walk. Don't miss this great downtown attraction for a stroll, picnic lunch, and wildlife watching (beaver)

Maybe a dry summer but nothing spectacular. It did provide a nice walk in Riverfront Park but that is also filled with lots of street people. It was also Labor Day weekend so there was a lot going on in the park with oodles of food vendors.

The Spokane Falls are situated along the Spokane River, which runs through downtown Spokane. If you are in the city, I highly recommend visiting the park and the area surrounding the falls. If you do make it to the park, it is worth a trip down to the falls for some pretty views and relaxing sounds of rushing water.
The falls were also the site of one of the first hydroelectric plants ever constructed and have remained a source of power for the city ever since. Although there isn't a public tour of the current plants, there are some artifacts from previous water turbines that were in use in the area on display.
The Spokane Falls are really pretty looking. I highly recommend taking a stop for some pictures or to just enjoy the atmosphere of the area.

There are a couple a falls right on the edge of downtown. The best views are from bridges or an observation area below the falls. From street level down is 163 steps and few sections of fairly steep sidewalks, but it was worth the effort.

Beautiful park and falls, definitely worth the stop if you’re in the area. We really enjoyed the walk along the bridges

The falls in the spring with full river flow is an amazing site and more so being in the centre of the downtown. With several bridges crossing the river the views and photo opportunities are excellent. The only shot coming on this visit was some of the bridges crossing the Spokane River were closed. The falls and river are a Spokane jewel.

I could have stayed and watched the falls all day. It is so beautiful there. Make sure to take the gondola for even better views.

Amazingly powerful when the water is high. A great view from the pedestrian bridge. Scary to think how swiftly that water is moving.

You'll want to walk down (and then back up) about 50 stairs to get to Huntington Park to see the falls. It's a beautiful place. Highly recommend!

I never thought a city could transform itself with a major river flowing right through the center of town! We loved every part of walking through the parks along the riverfront and viewing the various falls from all angles. Enjoy!

The falls are beautiful, dividing the city from downtown and the more suburban downtown area - right smack in the middle of the city - a must see. Certainly not a world highlight, but something to see in Spokane.

I find it hard to see the beauty in the surrounds of these falls. However, picture hem by going back a few hundred years in time and imagining them without the buildings, I could imagine it would have been beautiful country. See them while you are here, it’s free from the bridge if you are happy to walk (unless you take the sky rider).

Great bridges and walking paths. Some construction had a few trails/bridges closed and I ran into a swarm of stinging insects at the base of the lookout, but other than that we enjoyed a stroll around the park and around the falls. We also enjoyed the sky ride.

We lived in the Seattle, WA., and also went to Snoqualmie Falls, I like Spokane Falls much better, The Falls just roar which is actually very calming. It has made good viewing on stable ground. There’s also a long path next to the river and a bridge you can walk across, but it’s by choice only.

The waterfall was at it's best in the spring season. The sound of water was music to ears. The overall run next to the river and waterfall is very refreshing.

We went early and walked around following the trails. There was construction going on so some parts were confusing on where to go. But otherwise it was a great walk around.

Beautiful park. So much to see, fun activities for kids and adults. The gondola was a nice break with a great view

Absolutely amazing for admirers of waterfalls. Impressive flow volume for a downtown location. Area is surrounded by parks for picnic's, bike riders or joggers.

Easy walk along the falls with history of electric power in the area. Nice areas to sit and it seemed safe for children too.

Spokane is so unique! The Spokane River runs through the city. The falls are incredible. In the spring, it is quite a roar!

I can't believe I forgot to review Spokane Falls! My bad! Spokane Falls is one of our city's icon. When touring bands come to Spokane one of the most frequent comments is the gorgeous waterfall in the middle of downtown. The view from the Monroe Street Bridge is breathtaking. But any view of Spokane Falls is great, any time of the year. This is a must see for a visit to Spokane.

Make sure to see both the upper and lower falls. The river runs through the center of town. There is a large park. Walking bridges to go to the island on both sides.

Loved walking all the way around these falls. City of Spokane has made it so easy to get amazing views from every angle possible. We stayed on the high paths crossing the bridge just below the falls, walking around the North side and then crossing back behind to the big park. The sounds and power of the water hitting the solid rock formations is captivating. I must see for any Spokane visitor.

Growing up in this town, this is a must see for the first timer! I would recommend going there during the spring run off! Seeing the amount of water the Spokane River sends downstream!

pretty falls in middle of city. recommend walking along the river and viewing. fun to think about the power generated

This is the best time of year to visit the falls. Hunnington Park offers fantastic views of the falls.

I am always in awe when visiting this place! So amazing how much water flows over the falls. Makes me speechless.

Great way to see the falls and inexpensive. There is parking nearby. Takes 30-45 minutes. Friendly attendants.

Right in the heart of Spokane, Washington, is the Spokane River Falls. One of the most exciting times to experience the falls is during the March snow pack run off. The river is running full and the energy of the falls can get into you soul or take time during the heat of the summer to stop in at Anthony's Seafood Restaurant and experience the beauty of the falls while sipping a delicious beverage. So beautiful, so exciting, so lovely. Come enjoy our falls.

Nice view points to view the falls and take some nice pictures. Clean, no litter. A few homeless people around but they did not approach.

We enjoyed seeing the waterfall. Surprised how much garbage was in it. My husband and I decided to go shopping and walk around, so beautiful. We thought the gondola would be super cool to take over the water, it was a warm day. We did not think it was worth the money. I probably wouldn't do it again even if it was free. It was hot and muggy and we were sweating. We stopped over a beautiful parking lot for some time and seeing the waterfall was neat but just as great from outside the sweat box.

You can see the falls from many areas, and bridges. Also from there gondola ride over the falls. If your in Spokane you must see, hopefully the park will be upgraded by then as thats a sore point now

Spokane Falls is a beautiful and impressive cataract in the middle of the city. And even more amazing, it's been the source of hydroelectric power for Spokane since the year 1890.

it is really nice to have such a great waterfall in the middle of downtown. Provides a great "white noise" to block out the hustle of the city nearby. Easy to find places to relax near here.

Beautiful walk along the river and down the steps to see the falls. They're an impressive sight and learning the history of the river was very interesting.

There are many place to see these gorgeous falls from. On our visit to town, we saw them from both sides of the river, as well as from the Skyride. The falls are just a few steps from the core of downtown, so there is no excuse not to have a look. Getting different views of the falls is a good excuse to explore both sides of the river - there are interesting places on both sides. We could kick ourselves that we didn't see them at night, so if we ever get to Spokane again, we won't make that mistake.

Nice area for walking and for young children. There is a nice playground in the area. Beautiful area where river forks has double falls then comes back together. Only paid parking in the area.

The Falls are pretty to see anytime, but Spring runoff is spectacular. I walk by them most every day in my lunch walks and almost take their beauty for granted. During summer's dry time they can be pretty sparse. Fall is beautiful and so is winter.

Beatiful. Breathtaking. There is a short hike to get there but well worth the walking to get there. A must see. Great photo op.

Breathtaking waterfalls. So majestic. Walk through the park to see different levels of the park and they have an aerial cable car ride if you want. There is so much to do in Spokane. We should have spent more time there. You should definitely visit Spokane Falls.

Because of the winter snow melt, there is lots of water flowing causing beautiful falls. There is lots of bridge construction near the falls, but worth the confusion of finding a place to park.

I really enjoyed a day trip from Kennewick into Spokane. We just moved from Houston, TX. Wasn’t too sure what to expect in Spokane but my mom wanted to go visit so we took a chance and we really enjoyed ourselves. My favorite was definitely the river and it’s waterfall.

No visit to Spokane in Spring is complete without a view of Spokane Falls. Take the pedestrian extension bridge to get a taste of the spray, or, if you are inclined, ride the gondola for an up close and personal view below the dam.

Spokane should be proud to have this natural wonder running through their downtown area. They've done a lovely job with their downtown area and with the bridges and walkways surrounding the falls. Kudos.

We made it a point to see the Spokane Falls. Its a nice view with a walkway bridge that you can get some good pictures.

It was our first time in Spokane so we had to visit the falls. Such a cool sight in the middle of the city. There weren't many people around so we were able to get great pictures of kids and dogs and the falls. We got to Spokane a bit too late to go on the sky ride which was disappointing.

You’d be a fool to skip this. Go eat at Anthony’s Spokane Falls. Walk across the pedestrian and street bridges nearby. Walk down the steps under the gondola ride too. This is top of the list for an attraction to take visiting family and friends. What an incredible centerpiece for Spokane - “near nature.”

To have falls in the heart of a city is unique and spectacular! Spokane Falls is definitely a must visit if you are in Spokane. The waterfall is not very tall but the flow of water is quite powerful and refreshing. Taking in the view of the waterfalls while walking around the multiple trails and bridges is a very pleasing experience. I was in Spokane during the Hoopfest and the multitude of hoops and basketball games happening all around the Riverfront Park was an added bonus.
There are plaques placed at some locations around the falls which make for some interesting reading. Riverfront Park is built around the falls and there are a lot of walking trails from which different views of the falls can be seen. I'd certainly recommend taking the Gondola ride which gives a beautiful aerial view of the gushing water.

Was visiting the city and decided to check out these falls that were on the guide book.
After finding parking..not City free parking..note..small citi park parking drag to find.
Walked through the park, and made way to these suspension bridges. These bridges span the river and waterfalls. Cool to see water running like this through downtown.
Do the Skyride Dudes..! There seem to be upper falls and lower falls. The bigger is the lower. The Skyride gondolas are wheelchair friendly..real nice. They move up the seats and allow wheels chairs to roll in. Very nice to see them do that.
The gondolas ride down to the big falls and you get good views from your seat. Bout 8 bucks per adult under senior age, and 20 minutes round trip. Views are real nice. Don't expect Niagra type falls, but these falls are still nice to see while visiting this town.

Construction is going on all around the falls (access road is closed, bridge repair, homeless hanging out in the overlook, new building going up). Skip it.

Very easy to get a ticket. Price was bad, view really beautiful, ride was quick. We were done in 15 mins or less. You don't get out at the bottom of the falls. There was a rainbow so it was all the more special.
Downtown location made this very cool.
The staff was very friendly.

The water that flows through the Falls is amazing this time of year. The trails around the falls give you great views of the water

Nice two tiered waterfall in the middle of Spokane. Nice viewing areas setup by the city to see these. Very pretty falls considering its in the middle of a city

The falls are very accessible due to several pedestrian bridges going over them. When the water is high the roar from the falls is impressive.

What a neat spot in the middle of a city!
The skyride was awesome.
The carousel was faster than expected.
The falls were lovely. Great paths!

It was unfortunate that there is so much construction when we went to visit Spokane so we weren't sure how to get around, but once we figured it out seeing the falls was well worth it. It is such a beautiful sight and the falls are awesome. This is a must if you're visiting Spokane, but just prepared to navigate the construction if you're on foot and not familiar with the city.

Falls were cool but kinda meh... not a ton to see but what's there is nice. Possibly boring for teens.

Even in the dead of winter this is a great stop for a few pictures.
Cannot visit Spokane and miss the falls.
Beautiful in the winter.
Give it a shot.
No crowds.

Don't be fooled by the down stream fall. The exciting view is accross the road and up stream. Don't miss the Eagle Scout statute located here.

Spokane falls are beautiful and invigorating. Such magesty and intensity! The water mist is refreshing for mind body and spirit.

Very low water this time so you can see the shape of bottom .one steps were closed which I don’t know why and not convenience. Not so many people walking around here near Thanksgiving holidays. I want try to use pray stage sometime.

We spent the $16 for the gondola ride because I thought it would be fun, but it was pretty uneventful. We spent most of our time waiting for the unloading and reloading of guests. You can walk over and look at the falls just as easily. I love exploring and trying out touristy things, but this was a bit disappointing. In addition, much of the park area was under construction while we were there. Oh well, just a timing issue. It was still nice to see the falls.

It’s so wonderful that the Falls are in the center of town, surrounded by a beautiful park where families can spend the day. The Falls are especially wonderful in the spring with the winter run off!

The water falls were beautiful. We enjoyed the walk and the bridges. The area was very interesting and the sign age was informative.

Spokane urban falls are absolutely beautiful! The water is crystal clear. The noise of the falls put the baby to sleep on our stroller ride/walk around.

Great park with lots to do, plenty of things to keep children busy and walking paths along the river.

Absolutely must visit. Even more powerful at night with city lights and just sheer volume of water you can feel the power of the water and hear the enormous thunder as it roars. Do not miss this sight while in Spokane. The city park and wagon area are worth every moment of your time.
Love Spokane.... just a great American city.

This place is beautiful and very interesting. We tried the sky ride which goes over the waterfall. We didn't think that was worth the money. Just enjoy the walk by the falls.

The falls are beautiful and the bridges and buildings surrounding them make for some great photo ops.

We had a guide, or we would have passed this attraction. Good history and why the falls are there. May be in a guide book or Google before you go. Take your time and check out Spokane 's history.

A must see if you are in Spokane. We didn't do our homework and we almost missed this. It's incredible!

This is one the the highlight spots on the Spokane must see list. Right now the water was very high therefore standing on the bridge you get some cool misting on a warm day. This is an amazing, awesome stop that gets you wondering, " How many gallons flowing pre minute?" Lol .... A LOT!!! Lol.
A very nice stop, you will see, I hope.... shoot- just do it and thank me later. Lol

We started our visit to the falls with a gondola ride across them, and then we took a walk on the path by the falls behind the Washington Power Building where you could walk next to the falls from the top down to the bottom. Other than some garbage in one of the pools (which made me sad to see), it was beautiful. It also happened to be a gorgeous day, which made it that much better! There is so much cool stuff right around the falls, you could spend an entire day just walking around the area. I would definitely make a stop here again.

We visited Spokane Falls as part of our 23 day trip. From Hermiston, we drove 178 miles to the Falls. We arrived on Saturday about noon and were shocked to see how many people were in the area since there was a Marching Band competition and all the streets close to the falls at the Riverfront were blocked off. We somehow figured out how to cross to the other side of the river and found lots of parking very close to the falls. We walked to the bridge overlooking the falls and were amazed by the amount of water flowing over the falls. We then walked over to the Numerica SkyRide at Riverfront Spokane and took the Gondola ride for the full experience. The only negative about the Gondola is it stops frequently to allow other riders to board the other cars making the 10 minute trip into a 30 minute trip. The Falls are a definite must see.

Absolutely beautiful right in the heart of downtown. We took a walk along the path that led to the footbridge. This time of year, the water is raging and incredible! We enjoyed a leisurely dinner at Anthony's with a fantastic view in to the evening when the falls were lit up. Worth stopping!

This is an easy walk and really something to see. Take your camera/phone. Loved it. Try the bridge...beautiful views.

We visited Spokane for few days and enjoy the walks around the fall every day. It is such a pretty site and very nice for kids too.

Covid precautions were still in place, so many features at the park were closed. But we did enjoy walking through it and watching the Falls.

Very Fun day walk and enjoyable surroundings convenient to downtown hotels very leisurely and relaxing.

Most of the downtown area right around the falls is under construction right now. We had a little bit of trouble with all of the closed and re-routed streets, but once we found parking were able to still walk to the falls and enjoy the views! The falls are really pretty and have a really nice walking/biking trail running along the rim beside them. The only complaint really is the amount of trash. We saw 3 or 4 sweeper trucks cleaning the interstate which is great, but I guess there aren't any taxes to pay for cleaning the area around the falls? The water had a lot of trash floating or submerged...having a person or two just to keep that stuff cleaned up would make a huge difference.

We just loved the width and depth of these falls. The walk over them was really nice, great pathways all over to get different views. We wish we were here to see it in the spring. Can’t even imagine how spectacular that would be.

Spokane Falls is a gorgeous waterfall in the heart of downtown Spokane. The waters are rushing this Spring due to all the runoff, and the volume of water creates an impressive set of rapids as it pours over the falls. There are multiple viewpoints from which to admire the falls. I am told that the volume is not consistent month to month.

Went to dinner at Anthonys with a overall look of the falls. Because of the rainy weather the falls were quite full. The sight was great but the food was expensive.

The falls were an amazing sight to see and were very photogenic. This park does include a lot of stairs from top to bottom. If you are able to you should definitely go all the way down to enjoy the view from there and to read the Native American tale about how the falls formed. Quick side note, if walking to the falls you will pass a gondola entrance. The gondola goes down to the falls then turns around and goes back putting you back where you started. This is a good option for those that might not be able to do the excessive amount of stairs

Amazing water flow when I was there, just awe inspiring to hear and see the power of the river going over these falls. Worth a quick look or a leisurely stroll.

While there the whole area was under construction making it impossible to get a good look at the lower falls. The gondola ride was closed as well for construction.

Beautiful display of water's power and beauty in the city of Spokane. Am glad it is getting more and more popular to see this beauty.

Beautiful walk and breathtaking view. Lovely lunch overlooking the falls at Clinkerdaggers. Great service and food.

It's not just one "fall", but several, and each is a bit different. There's a lot of construction, but it's worth more than one visit anyway.

The Spokane Falls are very near the city center. They are easily accessible from several areas and parking is almost always available. Whether you choose to picnic above in a covered area or walk on a bridge where the mist will soak you, this is easily the best free entertainment in Spokane.

This was very interesting. We took a tram over the falls... total time was 15 min and it was not expensive...Spokane appeared to be a very nice city.... Big mall right near falls and a park...

I walk down to the falls every chance I got while I was at a convention at the convention center. It's amazing to be so close to the falls and right next to the running water.

How amazing these waterfalls mid center of Spokane soooo beautiful .must see !! Go till under the big bridge for the best views .

Originally Spokane Falls was the site of an Indian village. The falls were called “Stluputqu” meaning “Swift River.” Today there are several dams along the river that fosters hydroelectric power. The city of Spokane was named “Spokane Falls” at one time.
Not anywhere close to the height of Niagara Falls, there is an intrinsic beauty about these cascading falls nevertheless.
The Spokane Falls remind me of Sioux Falls, SD. You can reach the Spokane Falls by going through River Front Park or along Centennial Trail. There is a neat suspension bridge which will give you great views too.
Anthony’s Restaurant overlooks the falls too. There is a pleasant patio and window tables.

We were mesmerized by the beauty and power of the water rushing down these falls. Walking along the falls and across the bridges brought great views for photography.

Spectacular falls in the centre of Spokane. Was lucky to see them with the river in full flow in May.

Could have stayed here all day just watching the thunderous water falls! Even took the tram over for an even better look at the lower water falls. Seeing these water falls is a must!

Dramatic series of falls/cascades in the heart of the city; multiple bridges, terraces, and even a gondola (doesn't start running until mid-April) offer lots of different views of the natural and human-made beauty. Limited nearby parking.

The power of the river in the spring is truly breathtaking! You can feel the water rushing by and get splashed by the spray. Best time for the falls is March through April.

A must see when in the Spokane area! Just amazing the beautiful spray and power of all that water going over the falls. Beautiful areas to take photos, sit and relax, and walk with a friend.

Nice walking trails around the area. There are lots of bridges. You can ride your bike, but it is somewhat congested and you won't be riding your fastest. If on a bike, go at least as far west as past the Monroe Street bridge to get a nice view back to the falls.

It is beautiful no matter what season it is, but usually best in the Spring. We have many bridges that offer different views of the falls.

The best time to visit Riverfront Park and the Spokane river is in the spring with the snowmelt- the waterfalls roar and you can feel the energy. Native saw this as a special place long before white settlers arrived- this waterfall is impressive!

a beautiful fall to look at especially from the gondolas(although if you don't have the $$ or already seen from the gondolas once is enough I think as not worth the $$)

When we visited, there was tons of water going over the falls. You would barely realize there was a dam. Quite massive and spectacular!

A trip over the foot of the falls via the gondola is well worth the $. You can walk down to the viewing area ( but then you have to get back up) and you don’t get the full effect of the power of this river like you do from the purple gondola car.

After the snow melt, the rushing river makes for beautiful falls.
Now is a good time to view.
A number of great locations. Easy walk from a number of convenient parking locations.
One of the top urban falls in the country.
Check it out.

Definitely try the cable car down into the falls, takes about 15 minutes round trip, reasonable value. Beware, on cold days, the cars are not heated, so dress for it.

Stopped by during a scavenger hunt and witnessed the falls at Spring runoff. Spectacular! Great views of the powerful Spkane river!

The heart of Spokane is the river! Not taking time to view the falls does a disservice to visitors. Everyone coming to Spokane must see them!.

Waterfalls are always fun but this one has an easy walk right over the falls path for you to take in the beauty easily. The park is very nice and peaceful and recommended.

We saw the falls up close & personal from the gondola. It’s huge & powerful. We highly recommend the gondola for a fantastic view that enables great pictures.

Gorgeous natural wonder right in the heart of the city. I read that it is the second largest urban falls in the USA. There are numerous actives available in the park areas surrounding the falls.

This is something neat to see because it's in the middle of town. The falls aren't spectacular, but the fact that they are in the middle of town is pretty neat. Worth seeing them if you're right there anyways. Nice areas to sit and enjoy the river. The architecture is neat as well.

This is a must see place to visit if you go to Spokane. The main falls is what is pictured but don't be afraid to walk through the city and see where the damn is that lets water in the waterway. Maybe a 15-20 min walk with nice views along the ways of the water.

The Spokane river running through downtown is beautiful. It's nice to see that the city is restoring the area so it's more accessible.

The falls were the most exciting and beautiful part of all of Spokane. The city did itself proud for the way they have built everything beautiful around the falls - you don't have to leave the city to enjoy the beauty and energy ...

Spring is a great time to visit the falls. The lookouts along the public trails and walkways are spectular viewing spots for the wild water. The Sky Ride in Riverfront Park is really fun. With the water rushing below, the viewing is awesome. It's the only way to see some of the great art in the city as well. The ride lasts about 20 minutes, with frequent stops for loading and unloading so you have plenty of time to look. The ride is not scary!

A very pleasant city to walk around especially where the falls are.
Easily accessed and so many opportunities to sit and enjoy the scenery which is lovely at this time of they year.

The gondala ride over the falls was one of the coolest things Ive done, (and ive done a lot) besides the ride you have to take the walkways over the upper falls for more Wow!!! There is an island in the middle of the falls you can walk to that is dedicated to Canada. You HAVE to spend an afternoon or all day in the downtown park area!!!!!

Quite enjoyable we enjoyed the walk. The falls are beautiful. And well worth the stroll. Parking is easily assessable

Pretty nice town, lots to do and see. Definitely do the river walk, and the gondola over the falls. It’s not expensive, and it’s the best. Owe of the falls. There was a festival going on with lots of food venders. Loved it.

I like this falls as there are convenient paths to take in order to see the falls as close as can be. There are many viewing points which are easy to follow and offer different views/angles of the falls. It was also in the center of the city so that's a plus point for those who are on business trip.

We were pleasantly surprised with the Spokane Falls...it must be even more rewarding in the spring with the increased flow from spring runoff. Take the 20 minute gondola ride (adults $7.50) for an alternate view of this site.

Spokane Falls is suddenly there even if you are not expecting them. This water feature in the middle of a bustling city is impressive and somewhat of a wonder. Used for a long time as a part of the city infasturcture the power of the water is amazing. One can even manage to get wet at some points of viewing.

The Spokane River was rushing impressively in late July, despite the lack of rain in the area. Various lookouts afford different views of the falls and river. There's even a little grassy area for play. Take a drink from the water fountain and taste the wonderfully fresh water.

It is not often that a natural wonder like the Spokane Falls is so assessable. And it is even rater that a community does such a good job in protecting that wonder and not overwhelming it with other money making attractions. Spokane has done a great job with preserving the river fior future generations.

The Falls were nice and relaxing but the amount of trash floating in the falls and in the surrounding area took away from the experience. They need to clean up this area.

Falls are well worth the walk and awesome photo spot. Lots of steps with history signboards. Very clean and the adjoining parks are worth the walk

Lovely landscaped park with interesting interpretive plaques and sculptures. Nice place to be on a hot day, dramatic place to be on a winters day when the river is high. Not great for wheel chair users.

We love to walk so we traversed all around the area near the falls, took the short cable car over them and enjoyed them thoroughly! It was a sunny day so that made it easier.

Riverfront Park is built around this and it is a nice stroll to view them. There are walking bridges over them and a sky ride over them.

I love waterfalls and these did not disappoint. There are several falls that you can view from several different bridges. We were there the end of July and they were beautiful but not raging. You can see the high water mark and earlier in the spring/summer time I am sure they are full and raging fast. The pitcher and the bowl were really cool to see. The bowl is literally a rounded area cut in the rock where a waterfall drops. Follow the walking path from top to bottom and you will not be disappointed.

We are so lucky to have the Spokane River flowing through our city. With the snow melt and recent rains the falls is in it's full glory. We have bridges crossing the river so you can get various views and some areas you get the spray. Enjoy the gondolas for a birds eye view.

These falls are truly beautiful....and right smack dab in the middle of town!!! Great views along the shores and on the bridges. Best time of all in in the spring when the river is swollen with runoff water....spectacular.

I always visit the falls when in Spokane. They are beautiful and are surrounded by hiking trails for a great experience.

We were scootering through the park and saw the falls from the bridge above. We did hike down later but never took the gondola ride across. I don't think we would have seen more from it. The weather was great and should be good if you are going to see it.

Awesome that Spokane has put so much effort into their downtown for pedestrians and to honor the river and surrounding area. Have put so much more in since we lived here 25 years ago! A beautiful walk down from power station.

We rode the Gondola over the falls. It was beautiful, warm, and romantic. It cost us $7.00 ea for senior tickets. No waiting when we went. Still snow and was about 20 minutes long. Right across from the mall, so we did a little shopping too.

If you like to run (or walk, or bike, or take the dog on a stroll) then you should definitely walk through Riverfront Park, amble along the Centennial Trail, and see the Spokane Falls. Fun people-watching too. I run through this area several days a week because of how beautiful, sunny, and great it is.

If you come to Spokane, you must go see this. Considering it is a 5-10 minute walk from most of the downtown hotels it is a definite must do. It is gorgeous in the Winter, Summer, Spring or Fall. Most breathtaking when the water levels are high, Spring to Summer.

Just by the park in downtown this is why the town exists. The access to water power and later steam has resulted in this nice downtown.

The Falls were in their full form and winter snows were still melting and the water flow was thunderous. Easy to miss unless one is doing a city walk.

Make sure you go down the steps next to the power company building to see the falls from the lowest deck. That's the best view. It's most impressive in the spring with the largest volume of water. If you can't do the steps, seeing the falls from the short gondola is the next best option.

The waterfall was amazing with a paved walkway that you can walk along the falls. You can also purchase tickets for a tram that takes you down to the base of the falls, across the river and then back up the hill.

The Falls can be seen from the riverfront park, which is behind the shopping centre, nice walks round the park , although not all paths are open due to construction.

Such a pretty area surrounded by several walking trails. You can walk around and go through the park. The little island and bridges are quite nice as well.

A must stop when anywhere near here. Raw beauty and sheer power in full display from so many angles.

The walk is beautiful. What a surprise to find such beauty in an urban setting. The walking trails are easy. There are plenty of bridges for different views. Displays give information about the history and the engineering features. The park also is good for wheelchair access. What a beautiful place. Spokane should be proud of their waterfront park area.

The falls are always pretty, but in the Spring, after rains, hey are spectacular!! No lines, 20 mins, priceless views and pictures. An easy event to enjoy, no matter the age, as long as they aren’t afraid of heights!

So much going on at the falls, walker friendly, shops, restaurants and other things to easily keep you occupied during the afternoon. Other things should open as well when the Covid mess is over. Highly recommend!

These are so cool and are located in the center of town. A riverfront park was created in 1974 as part of the World’s Fair held in Spokane. The falls flow through the former fair site. Great place to take a walk and enjoy the Falls.

Stopped here for a quick afternoon of fun. We don't have falls like this in Wisconsin so he was very pretty. We rode the carousel and took the skyway things and had a good afternoon.

We really know nothing about Spokane but saw this in Trip Advisor and I’m a sucker for waterfalls. I was a bit nervous about this because I’m traveling with people who were going to suffer in the steep walks and stairs needed to access the closest views of the falls.
I did the climb and was rewarded with a great waterfall right in downtown Spokane.
Great news is that for 7.50, you could take a sky lift ride around the falls. We did it so that even the less capable of our party could really see the sights. The glass of the lift ride wasn’t perfectly clear so I’m glad for the pictures I took when I did the hike.
The bad news is that there was a lot of construction in the park. The Overlook was closed. As pretty as the park was, it’ll be so much better once the construction has been completed.

The falls are not big but a pretty site right in downtown Spokane. If you are in the Riverfront Park take a stroll over to see the falls and take some selfies.

This was such a sight to see. as we got close we could hear the roar of the water and even though i had seen the pictures and read some reviews it was just hard to believe that there were waterfalls in the center of town. the city has done a great job making it easy to view the falls from several different angles and distances. amazing

It's a hike to walk down to the bottom of the falls but you see lots of great views of the river and falls.

You can view the falls from the bridges or park but if you are having a meal Clinkerdaggers or Anthonys is the place to go. Anthony's has more water year round.

This is a must visit while in the area. It's located in a beautiful park. The falls are spectacular and there is even a gondola ride over them is you choose for a fee.

Our third visit to the park. Love it always in all ways. Absolutely beautiful park. So much going on.

Riverfront Park Summer 1974. Expo going on I was 4 years old. Memories right? At 40 something yrs. young revisiting that site brought back lots of exciting fun memories! Well maintained, updated, fun for the family, or for a nice walk, maybe yoga. River looks so clean. Gondola ride, Spokane history, and the same carousel I rode when I was 4. Beautifully maintained, I went in and standing next to it I got goose-bumps. If you were at the worlds fair there you really should go back and look at Spokane now!

The falls are stunning in the spring but then start dying out.. Anthony's at Spokane Falls restaurants has out door seating best fora view of the falls. There are 3 different locations to view them from, the one on the south side of the river is a hike down on a nice paved path but worth it. Its fun to take the gondolas over the falls in the spring.

The Spokane River slides through town, tumbling over falls. There are several great vantage points downtown. You can walk right down to the water, soar over it, or view from a distance. It’s all memorizing! This year was big for snow in the area, spring thaw has increased the size of the river, making for a fabulous show! There are several plaques along the way explaining the history.

We visited Riverfront Park and were very impressed with the double bridge which provided a great view of the Spokane Falls, it was a day of brilliant sunshine and we could only imagine how powerful the falls would be after heavy rainfall. What a great thing to have flowing thru the middle of your city.

Really pretty and well worth the visit. We took the ariel tram over it and I would highly recomend that for the best view.

Large park in the centre of the city surrounded on both sides by the river. with 2 sets of falls running through.

This is a wonderful walk. The bridges alone make it worthwhile. It’s really something when the river gets high enough that walking over the bridge gives a misty spray.

There is something about water falls that makes life a little more enjoyable. This is not a trickle type of water fall either. Something worth the short walk to the bridge that over looks the beautiful scenery. Not a lot for me to do in Spokane but I loved this little gem right in the middle of the city.

Great water falls, really cascades, in downtown. You won’t see great big height waterfalls, but there are small water falls over rocks along the riverbed. It makes for a nice nature park, unfortunately the amount of garbage in the river is sad. There are homeless and stoned people around the river park area but did see some security so it never felt unsafe. The walkways and bridges are numerous and so you can get pretty close to the falls. When up close you can only hear the rushing of water, so nice in a downtown area, what a gem this city has.

A must see when in Spokane! Very enchanting & memorising. There is a wonderful path all the way around.

The spring runoff is spectacular and visitors can get sprayed by water just standing on the pedestrian bridge

Spent the $8 per person to ride the gondola over the falls. Well almost over the falls. Personally I thought it was worth the price to get the best view of the falls. Certainly you can descend the stairs beside the falls and get up close. Most people should probably do both, unless money is real tight.

The falls are a series of extended falls/rapids on either side of downtown. Spokane is there because of the falls. Absolutely worth a look.

The falls are relaxing and scenic. There are also gondola rides that go over the falls and several other activities in this area. There is plenty of shade, a mall close by and a multitude of dining options. It might not be the best area to be after dark.

Spring runoff is beginning so the volume of water will build for the next 4 weeks prox. Its amazing to compare it to the summer months when you can see the river bottom that makes all the white water.

We stayed a night in Spokane on our way through to Montana and scheduled one morning to have a look around Spokane Falls. We were there in spring, so the flow in the river from the snow melt was mighty and the falls were probably at there best. You can easily spend a few hours there walking around because there are several areas to the falls and about four different bridges that cross the river over various parts of the falls. The very bottom part is the most spectacular, so be sure to walk all the way down the stairs and have a good look a the massive bridge down the bottom. It really is a treasure and quite magnificent in its design. We really liked Spokane and would have liked to spend a bit more time there actually.

The area is beautiful and quiet, both the upper and the lower the falls are nice although not exactly spectacular, but the trash floating around the basins of the lower falls is a strong deterrent to another visit. It was real trash, not just fallen leaves or such - it looks like nobody cares much to keep the falls clean...

I visited the falls and adjacent park on 10 May 2018. Well worth it! It seemed like it was peak flow and absolutely breathtaking. The falls and the park are so pretty! Quite a few steps and a steep descent, so consider your individual abilities prior to visiting the park. Lots of historical markers to read and learn how the areas came to be be.

A very nice place to visit for an easy stroll, and for some nice photo opportunities. We are sure to visit again on our next visit!

The falls are a nice feature for downtown. We enjoyed our wall checking out the falls. Theres even a gondola you can pay to ride in to see the falls from above.

Fun thing to do in Spokane, Lovely falls. There are many places to see these lovely falls from. There was a crisscrossing trail around the cataracts. I loved looking at them from behind.

Took a walk on the bridge and around a trail that has fantastic view points to the falls, it all depends on the season to see full or partly flows.

Few cities in the US can claim their own falls, but Spokane, WA can. The falls are spectacular especially in the spring when following the snow melt off nearby mountains. For the adventurous wander through Riverfront Park, established during the 1974 Worlds Fair. The brave can take a bucket ride over the water and the falls which is a real experience. The falls are also lovely from either Clinkerdaggers or Anthony's (ask for a window seat). Either restaurant is perfect for a romantic evening, with the view of the falls ever present.

The falls define the city of Spokane. A wonderful centerpiece for a wonderful city. If you are visiting Spokane, the falls are definitely worth the time, and the price is free!

On a hot day, watching the water tumble down the falls was just lovely. Several different point to view the falls - and I highly recommend stopping.

Great place to visit in center of town. They have a crisscrossing trail in and around the cataracts that would make for a great loop... except for the vital bridge over the second falls is closed. And it looks like it is not a temporary closure. Still, nice views and a must do when you are in Spokane.
Tip: if you park near Anthony’s, head downstream and around, otherwise, the first thing you hit is the closed bridge.

Spokane Falls give the heart of this city a connection to the natural beauty of Washington State. Here you are in your city clothes, walking to a restaurant or meeting and you can pause and enjoy the sound, smell, and relaxing beauty of water coursing through rough rocky channels. It's mesmerizing. Take a moment. Then you can get back to business with a bit of the beauty of the world on your mind.

This place is currently tricky to get to with construction at the entrance to the west side viewing entrance..google and Apple Maps want to take you thru roads that are closed..but if you park by the arena and walk, the views are with it as you cannot get a good panoramic view off he falls from the riverfront park area..not much else to do on this side now but several restaurants very close…bottom line it is worth the adventure and detours

Because of the time of year we visited, the Spokane River was running very fast. Therefore, the falls were roaring and crazy powerful. We walked to view the falls up close and personal from the area by Anthony's. We walked across the foot bridges over part of the falls. I have seen many spectacular falls and rapids in the national parks. Spokane Falls in May stands up well to any of them. Because you can easily be so up close and personal with these falls, you can more clearly feel the power of the falls. The river front park is undergoing construction, so plan ahead for how to best access the falls. Don't miss this when traveling through Spokane.

Absolutely amazing and fascinating!! Great view from bridge and from near by restaurant. Very unique place. Easy find parking

We were in the park looking for the falls, when we heard the water rushing. Sounds cheesy, but true! Great photo opportunities by the bridge. Awesome to see this near a park. Well kept area!

The river was really roaring. We walked the short downhill path from North Post Street along the riverfront to Huntington Park. The sound of the Lower falls was almost deafening; water was splashing and spraying over it's banks onto those close to the edge wall. It was terrific. We then walked out onto the North Post Street bridge to observe the Upper twin falls; equally terrific in a different way.

I have always loved the falls in Spokane. Easy walk, back to nature right in the middle of town. Not many towns can boast a river through it.

The riverfront around the falls is very pretty with a lot of paths to use to view the falls from many angles !

Feel the spray of water in mists on bridge. You can sense the power of this river so near. It’s magnificent. Go. Experience this.

Beautiful waterfall in the middle of Spokane. The sky ride provides a great view of the falls from on high.

This is a beautiful view and it's FREE to see. You can walk along the pedestrian bridge to watch the falls. There is a park on one side of the falls and a paid parking lot on the other side of the falls so there is easy access to it. Don't stop at the pedestrian bridge, follow the river and go across the street and walk down to see the waterfall. It is beautiful day or night

The Spokane falls are absolutely breathtaking. We stood and watched the scene for a long time. You can view the falls from many different vantage points. There is actually a walkway over the falls which give you a feeling of being in the water.

We have seen a lot of falls on this trip but these may have been the more spectacular at least the highest.

This was our first trip to Spokane, so didn't want to miss seeing the falls! We attempted to view with some elderly relatives, but to get close required walking down multiple flights of stairs, so we opted to skip. We came back the next day and went to the bottom, and it was worth it. Amazing views!

Great place to walk Andrelax for a quiet day. Walk around the falls or find the clock tower and red flyer wagon.

Wonderful park to walk around, great description of the path of the water. Nice place to relax.
Saw gondolas working and ride its only 15 mins.

I am sure this is beautiful year around but in the spring with the snow melt it was roaring! Lovely sight right in the middle of the city

It's not Niagara, but for a city center waterfall it is impressive nonetheless. Because of the location, it can be viewed from many angles. There's a park that will take you right to the thundering edge of the fall, except when closed by snow and ice. The Monroe Street Bridge overlooks the falls. The gondola rides over the falls. And so on. It's an attraction.
If you go in the spring, the flow is torrential. In addition to the falls, be sure to see the other cascading water just upstream from the falls. They can be equally impressive viewed from a footbridge.

1st time in Spokane. How cool to have the river and waterfall run through the middle of the city! Beautiful.

The Falls in downtown Spokane are beautiful. We walked from our Hotel to see the falls up close and walked across the suspension bridge. The weather in June was great. The riverwalk is a great place to spend with family. We felt totally safe while viewing the Falls in Spokane.

The Riverfront Park was under construction so we were not able to ride the gondolas above the Falls, but the view from the park itself was outstanding. Loud, powerful, crashing water feature.

What a beautiful river flowing through downtown Spokane. We observed the falls from several locations.

Even in the chill of December, we spent about 2 hours walking around the park and over the falls. We rode the skyride as well but didn't really feel it was needed given the many walking trails around and over the various falls.

One of our group kept promoting a stop at the river park and the falls, so we finally gave in and we were so glad we did. The falls are breathtaking and were roaring with power from recent snowfall. A rainbow in the mist was a special treat. Worth a stop. Get out of the car and take a stroll!
