The town square was filled with colourful and bright lights every where! It made the square full of energy, holiday spirit, and beauty. There were camel, horse-drawn carriage, and pony rides. You could also pay to view a reindeer. There were food trucks as well. We walked around the square and took photos and talked for over an hour. It was such an unexpected and added pleasure for our trip to Fayetteville!

This is a beautiful area of town. The gardens are beautiful - a wonderful area to stroll and shop. There are some really cute boutiques on the square and several restaurants to eat.

Lots of shops and restaurants! You have to check out the Fayetteville Farmers Market. It's the best in NW Arkansas!

I enjoyed the town square so much that I went twice in two days! One of the best farmers markets with a wonderful offering of fresh flowers. Hands down the best corn on the cob that I've ever eaten.

Go on a Saturday morning and catch the amazing Farmers Market. I parked in a town lot for free. Cute stores and restaurants. Musicians playing and cute dogs a plenty! Walk around and explore !

This town square had the most beautiful landscaping coupled with very unique shopping and eating. Worth a road trip for sure.

The square is a very well kept, beautiful location! When Lights of the Ozarks is going on, it is breathtaking. There is always something going on at the square, like the Farmer's Market on Tuesdays, Thursday, and Saturdays. Parking around the square is free on weekends, but it can be tough to find on Farmer's Market Saturdays. Great local restaurants and boutiques surround the square.

Tuesday / Thursday & Saturday mornings find many locally grown veggies/meats, plants, and other crafts to delight!

We got there too late to visit the Farmer's market, but we enjoyed looking at all the historic buildings in the area.

The Christmas lights on the Downtown Square are beautiful, they are definitely worth checking out. It’s free to go look at them, but, they do have pony rides & food trucks so take a little money with you.

This is a great place to sit and relax during the day, many good restaurants and cupcakes near by. For the holiday season, beautiful lights, and fun things on the weekends. Fall and spring farmers markets on Sat. (big) and Tues. (smaller).

Fayetteville downtown square is very family and pet friendly. There are lots of places to eat and shop. Every Saturday up until early November there's a farmers market that wraps around the square, where there lots of home grown vegetables and homemade deserts singing and lots of pets. Late November through December there's the lighting of the square for Christmas with lots of activities

We walked around on a Saturday during a farmer's market. It was very quaint. This town has a lot of southern charm. The market was a mix of produce and goods being sold. Very relaxing. Animal friendly.

We really enjoy going to the Farmer's Market on Saturdays at the Fayetteville Downtown Square. Lots of locals selling everything from garden veggies to beautiful fresh bouquets. Local musicians might be around for some good foot stomping tunes as well.

Just happened on the Farmers Market and WOW! The area is beautiful to begin with but was so impressed with the atmosphere of the local trade merchants and farmers. Fayetteville is a beautiful town that is growing but still feels small town. Love it!

Went to Farmers Market on the square and enjoyed our visit. Many items for sale at the market and the flowers in the square were beautiful!! Enjoyed our trip to the square!

The square serves many purposes and hosts many functions but it wouldn’t be nearly as beautiful without the hard work by the city crew of landscapers who plant and maintain a wonderful variety of plants and flowers in the beds surrounding the Old Post Office. We love the Farmers Market, First Thursday celebrations, Block St. party, and many other events that happen on the square.

I thought the square was quaint, charming, and beautifully landscaped , tulips were in full bloom .Plenty of places to grab coffee, something to eat .The shops were a little disappointing but only because many of them were pricey and a tad fufu. Not much there for a bargain hunter ,sale shopper, or kids. But then again I was only there twice . The square itself though was beautiful and had many great places to dine outside, read a book, wifi , etc.

Beautiful, walkable area. We were there during the farmers market that had a variety of produce, food and art and jewelry stalls.

Great local shops and restaurants and only a few blocks from Dickson St. Wonderful farmers market and local music on Saturdays.

We enjoyed the lights and saw the attractions but we did not have time for the carriage rides or the camel rides. We have always enjoyed the farmers market but this was a nice evening with mild weather.

We stopped here on Wednesday November 27th to see the Christmas lights. First off, parking was free and easy. The lights were incredible! A majority of the large trees were actually wrapped AROUND the branches. It was so cool! We were thinking of going on the horse drawn wagon or Cinderella coach rides. It was going to cost $55.00 for 5 of us. I thought this was a great price but we were way under dressed, it was cold that night. We really loved this evening. If you are in the area, stop and see it.

We visited the square during the Lights of the Ozarks, and it was just lovely. The atmosphere was laid-back and friendly; people of all ages, seemed to be having a genuinely good time. It is quite accessible in terms of parking nearby and walking throughout the square.

Great annual drive-by Christmas lights; or even better is to park and walk around the square. Camel rides, pony rides, food trucks, music, cool vibe, dog-friendly, Santa & reindeer on-site. Some shops and restaurants also stay open late (or a few blocks North is the Dickson Street entertainment district).

I adore the square and gardens, especially during the bustle of a Farmer's Market. There are usually a few small bands or singer song writers playing on Saturday mornings. The gardens are well manicured with unique foliage. Even if you don't plan on buying anything it's worth grabbing a cup of coffee and strolling by.

Great place to wander any time of year. Farmers market is great and holiday lights are always spectacular. Good restaurant selection on or near square.

The Fayetteville Downtown Square is a delightful place. It makes one of the most vibrant and growing areas on the country feel like a small town again, which is legit because Fayetteville is just like that. Booming and charming all at once! During the week The Square has free parking and great little shops to browse, particularly on the west side. The West Mtn. Brewing Company, which shares space with Tim's pizza on the south side, combines the best pizza in town with great crafted beer. Drop in late Friday afternoon to see a crowd of quirky locals at the bar.
But the best time on The Square is Saturday mornings (and to a lesser degree Tuesday and Thursday) when the Farmers' Market takes over. Shop organic vegetables, meats, cheeses, and fruits. Buy bird houses and breakfasts. Listen to music and pet adoptable puppies. Meet candidates running for office and get coffee and cupcakes, it is great!
Special mention to evenings from Thanksgiving to New Years when the Lights of the Ozarks turns The Square into a fantasy dreamland of beauty, you have to see it to believe it. You can take the children on pony and camel rides and buy, I'm not kidding, deep fried twinkies.

I think of the Square for its Farmers Market, especially on Saturdays--mornings and early afternoon. The crowds are out and having a great time. Shopping, eating nearby. Really one of the finest markets of its kind in the US. The city tends this place exquisitely, and it shows--the flowers, plants, trees are a sensational backdrop for those selfies and family shots, and at Christmastime, the lights are truly spectacular, drawing admirers year after year from all around. Exhilarating people space.
There's much more on other days, too, with good clothing stores, furnishings, jewelers, eateries nearby. A real asset for this University town.

We weren't real impressed with town square and the money it would cost to buy anything in the stores was too much.

The Fayetteville Downtown Square and Gardens is beautiful all year round, but especially during the months/days of the Farmers Market and also at Christmas season. Lots of Kodak moments available for kids and grownups.

This downtown is like walking back to a small town but having a bigger town grow up around it. It is a rocking place with lots and lots of fun things to do from the farmers market to holiday party site to homecoming parades for Fayetteville High School. Love it!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quaint, eclectic and fun area of the town square. Lots of restaurant choices, and cute specialty boutiques. I would like to go back and spend more time there.

Like the title says, it's a beautiful park right in the middle of downtown. City employees tend to the park regularly. Different flowers bloom different times of the year. Some you haven't seen before. Free wifi. In December, it is the Lights of the Ozarks. 500,000 mini lights light up the place where residents propose to their love ones!!

They have a wondrous opportunity to enjoy small town with modern twist. Shopping, farmers market and eateries. Love down town ville!

This area is great. Lots of cute local shops and restaurants. We ate pizza at The Rail and burgers at Hugo's. On Saturday mornings they have a great farmers market.

We wanted to take a walk after dinner before going to our hotel. We decided to park at the Square and check it out. The landscaping path around the middle of the Square is gorgeous! If you love gardening and landscaping you must check it out. There were families with young children riding tricycles and small bikes riding around and was a really neat experience.

I've been to the downtown square and gardens many times. The farmer's market is a great event to attend on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Saturdays are really busy and crowded though. I especially love the Christmas lights. Many restaurants surround it, but I have not yet tried those; but I am planning to. Overall, just walking the square, taking in the sights and sounds, looking at the gardens is zen enough to keep me happy,

Great area of town to visit while visiting Fayetteville. we went when it was a bit chilly but, they had Hot chocolate and Cider available. We visited on a Sat morning.

Gorgeous flowers around square and for sale. Wished for a few vendors with Craftsy stuff. Takes about 30 minutes to round the block. Good people watching Saturday mornings at Farmer’s Market. Have also visited at Christmas for lights. Very small town flavor.

Love the Fayetteville Square...whether the Farmer's Market or Christmas Lights. There are some fun eats and retail shops, too! Great for walking around. Pretty landscaping, too.

The farmers market around the square was great. Loved taking our time on a Saturday morning and seeing the fresh produce and other wares.

The square is such a charming place for shopping, food and just walking around. During the spring and summer there is a farmers market and in the winter go for the lights of the ozarks. The whole square is lit up and it's beautiful. All around the square are cute shops and places to eat. One side of the square is Block street where you will find Hugo's...a Fayetteville staple for burgers, Maxine's taproom...old fashioned cocktails, Little Bread Company...pastries and sandwiches, Block Street Records...vintage vinyl shop, the Moustache Shop...a unique gift shop. A lot of my favorite Fayetteville places can be found around the square!

One of my favorite things about the Fayetteville Square is the Christmas display for the holiday season! Its beautiful you can walk around the square. Lots of vendors, hot chocolate, great lights, beautiful views... what's not to like? And during the spring, summer and fall seasons they have beautiful gardens that are really wonderful.

We have been working with and going to the Fayetteville Square and Farmers Market for over 30 years. It is a wonderful place to visit. Relaxing on days without the the Farmers Market and exciting and busy on days when it is in session. Terrific in all seasons, the gardening staff keeps it looking beautiful year around. In the winter we enjoy all the lights and activities, music, buggy rides, camel rides etc. We always run into friends having fun too. Great for all ages.

I walked around the area and sat on the benches and just enjoyed the peace and quiet. Beautiful place. Beautiful city. So clean. Saw no trash anywhere in the streets. I spent about 3 hours there enjoying the atmosphere and watching the people pass by. Such a peaceful place to stop and take a deep breath and enjoy. Good place to get away and clear the mind.

After shopping the local Square boutiques it was refreshing to walk the gardens. Unique botanical exhibits are well labeled and seasonal perennials are in full bloom . A beautiful Kodak moment for sure . Parking abounds .

Cool little area with shops and restaurants. My wife and daughter loved shopping. I loved the West Mountain Brewing company! Hugo's had great burgers and sandwiches, and check out the old post office in the middle. It;s a cool bar/restaurant called Cheers at the OPO. Great food and drinks!

I love the town square - quaint, home of our beloved farmers' market, and a great garden encircling the entire thing. For the Christmas season the Lights of the Ozarks and carriage rides is a cherished tradition and annual event.

As normal, city of Fayetteville owns it when it comes to holiday Christmas lights on the square, year after year it’s a must.

A must see any time of year!
Fayetteville and the surrounding Ozarks boast four seasons of natural beauty. The square embraces all of these; the farmers market, lights of the Ozarks, spring flowers, and fall colors are all showcased in the best city in Northwest Arkansas. Locals and visitors mingle to enjoy the sights, local shops, and some of the best food you'll find anywhere. Biking is one of the best ways to explore the square from the nearby hike and bike trail. Parking is also plentiful. Check out the Block Street businesses while you're here. Easy walk to the Walton Arts Center, Theater Squared, Dickson Street, and the University of Arkansas.

We made our first visit to the farmer’s market in June 2019. The selection of fruits, vegetables and other locally produced items was varied and extensive. It’s entertaining, kid friendly and a great place to pick up produce for dinner!

Pretty Christmas lights with music. Easy and safe place to walk around. Really fun New Years celebration with tons of music and entertainment.

The downtown Fayetteville square is the place to be anytime of year, especially in the spring and summer. They have a farmers market there in the summer which is amazing - tons of fresh flowers and produce, and everyone brings their dogs. There is also lots of little shops and a Christmas lighting and parade in December.

This is a fun area to visit and lots of places to eat on the square and check out the small restaurant on all the side streets

Absolutely love it during December when almost half-million lights decorate the square. Throughout the year it's a perfect place to shop little boutiques and dine on a variety of food, form hamburgers and pizzas to french pastries.

Love looking at all the wonderful plants. When open / season we always go to the Farmers Market on Saturdays while in the area. So many great choices.

I'm a professional photographer, so I appreciate a site that is lovely, ornamental, varied, and free to use! We love the Fayetteville Square - we can walk 50 feet and take our pick of a dozen different vantage points as backdrop. Come for Farmer's Market days and meet hundreds of friendly people out enjoying the wares and community spirit! Fayetteville is a wonderful town, and this is the heart.

The square is a great area to hang out, eat, and/or shop. We love staying in this area as well. There are some cute little boutiques with everything from game day attire to dresses for date night. Starting some time in November the entire area is decked out in beautiful Christmas lights! This is definitely worth seeing. They have some food trucks and hot chocolate available to buy as you walk around and take in all the lights. The Farmers' Market is also lots of fun so be sure to check the calendar for that as well.

A stroll around the light-filled square will bring out the child in anyone. The square and gardens are always enchanting but never more so than at Christmas when thousands of lights create a wonderland. For kiddos, there are pony and camel rides.

We loved this little square which we visited during the farmers market on a Saturday morning. Very active and vibrant. Cute shops!

The Fayetteville Square is great to either stop by for a quick shopping trip at one of the many boutiques, eat a delicious meal, buy some local produce from the Farmer's Market, or, my personal favorite, view all the amazing lights during December. Parking can sometimes be difficult, but after 5 PM there are a lot of options so you don't have to pay. Explore all the boutiques and try some locally owned restaurants! Support Fayetteville and shop local.

We enjoyed our walk around Fayetteville's Downtown Square & Gardens. This area is very popular and parking can be hard to find. There is mostly metered parallel parking.
The flowers were pretty.
We went on a Friday afternoon & back again Saturday morning for the Farmer's Market which is held here. It is more than your typical Farmer's Market! Besides local produce, they also have vendors selling pottery, wooden bowls, jewelry, art work, flowers, tshirts, etc. Many, many booths.
This is a lovely place and always full of people. We liked the Downtown Square & Garedens.

The Gardens in the Square are so lovely. Very well kept and interesting. Most of the plants are labeled which is nice as I didn't recognize many of them! We've been to the square many times but our last visit had us there in First Thursday which was great. There are artists, food and live music. Sorry I did not get the name of the band which was performing when we were there (May) but they were excellent! A very family friendly event. Kids everywhere, dancing, people walking their dogs and just general friendly fun! Love Fayetteville Square.

My wife and I stopped by the Farmers' Market on the Saturday morning of Homecoming at the U of A. In my opinion this is the best farmers' market in the state of Arkansas and one of the top three I have attended in the nation. Only the one in Whitefish, Montana compares to it. It was a beautiful fall day during our visit on a vibrant Saturday morning.

If you are in town visiting or just never make it to the downtown square, you need to go check it out after dark. The lights are amazing. Its a great atmosphere. Very nice to see.

Being our first time in Fayetteville, we decided to check out the downtown area and glad we did. My daughter loved all the small shops in the area that the people could not be any more friendly. We were there in December and just happened to be on the square with 5pm hit and all the Christmas lights turned on. It was very impressive and a sight to see. They also had camel and pony rides for the kids. We all felt very safe and comfortable during our visit. Glad to see there are still some small towns that know how to do things right.

Ive been away for a couple of years. When I got back to the area I was amazed at how beautiful the downtown Fayetteville area is. It's funny how a little time away can make you appreciate what you left behind.

Downtown Fayetteville is a very nice place to visit feels very safe crate shop nice walking around people seem to be polite and pleasant no bad experiences we often visit this place when we are in the area great choice of hotels and shops are unique very clean safe environment I recommend Fayetteville to any couples or family

I wanted to see the square lit up but it was already down or not on when we came up right after the new year. There were very few left up. I will try again next year.

This is an awesome town. On Saturday they have a farmers market that is equal to some that I've been to in California. There are great stores and very nice, friendly people. Well worth the trip to Arkansas. And as the fall approaches the trees turn beautiful shades of yellow, orange, and red. We had the best time in Fayetteville.

The grounds, gardens and shops are well maintained and lovely this spring! Come enjoy farmer 's market !

Home of the Farmer's Market and many other local events. Beautifully landscaped streets are lined with cute boutiques and trendy eats.

The Fayetteville square is always a hub of activity. The farmer's market goes from early spring until fall and then the Christmas lights and activities are a must see. The city gardeners also do a great job with flowers all over the square. It's a great place to walk around.

Beautiful spot to spend some time & enjoy the beauty of the Spring blossoms. A great photo opportunity for sure. If you’re visiting Fayetteville, be sure to check it out.

There's a reason Fayetteville's Farmer's Market is consistently ranked among the country's best - it's a fantastic market. Great vendors who grow and make their crafts at area farms. You know exactly where your food is coming from. Farms are inspected, I believe, by the organization that runs the market.
It gets a little busy on Saturdays so go early to avoid the congestion.
The square could use some more restaurants and brick and mortar shops though.

We went on a Thursday for the farmer's market. It was not huge, but had all types of wonderful vegetables, even in the first part of May. Everyone was very friendly. It was a pleasant setting and we had no problem finding parking on the square.

Beautiful spot to stroll! Seasonal flowers and landscaping. We enjoy Saturday morning farmers market during warmer months and love the Christmas light display. Interesting shops and historic buildings. Worth a visit!

Rarely do we miss The Farmers Market on Saturdays April through October. I suggest anyone in NWA for the weekend during the market opening months put The Farmers Market on your must do list. It's a market, a carnival, a dog show, a music venue and much more! See you there!

Farmer's Market is great. Some of the local businesses are still there for shopping. Hugo's off the square to eat is good.

There were a lot of vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables as well as other items. There was some bike ride going on when we were there, so there were a lot of people around. If we lived here, we would be there every weekend.

Local veggies, fruit, flowers, breads, etc. are a treat. Historical Post Office in the center of the square is a must see.

It's pretty sad to remember the days when dntw was thriving, but I do, and it's far from that today! TOWN and COUNTRY a ladies boutique that's been there long en for the daughter to be running it. At least 50 years but they still have cute clothes & accessories! I certainly help them out! I think they closed and left for the day after I finished!!
A couple other cute boutiques but mostly banks and attorney offices. Too bad small town can't always survive. Glad we lived away!

This is a wonderful place in the fall. The eclectic mix of food, people, events and shops combine for a relaxing, yet entertaining experience. The college atmosphere makes it appealing to the younger gen as well.Ozark Trails connect this area with surrounding natural sights as well providing great walking or biking availability.

Walk around the nicely landscaped square. Go there Saturday am for farmers Market. See global world peace sculpture /fountain in front of Town center . Put your hands on the world & push -you can make it turn!

Great fresh organic veggies can be purchased in an atmosphere of fun, family and friends. Don't miss the great vendor food as you stroll the square searching for that great freshly harvested treat!

The Square is so well cared for and pleasing to see. You will want to sit and enjoy it for awhile. The flowers and plants are beautiful. I enjoy seeing them each time we visit Fayetteville. At Christmas time they decorate the square with lights and lit up designs like the Razorback pig. Lots of nice shops on the square, too. Some of our favorites are The Mustache Goods & Wears, The Anchor, Terra Tots & Riff Raff. The farmers market is on the square every Sat. From 7 - 2 in season and some evenings, too. The Town Center, located on the square, is a great place to see all kinds of things like the Roots Festival that is finishing its 6th year today, Aug. 30.

Such a cute square with beautiful plants. You can visit shops and restaurants in the area. A throwback introduction to Fayetteville.

Saturday provides lovely plantings, music and, of course, the farmer's market with food and drink. What else could one ask for, especially if the weather is good.

This place is just gorgeous between Thanksgiving and Christmas when the festival of lights is set up. It's perfect for families, with camel rides, yummy treats, Santa, and photo ops or couples, with romantic benches to sit in tucked away beneath hundreds of Christmas lights and people watching galore. I would recommend bringing a thermos of hot chocolate and visiting Bliss Cupcakes right in the center of the square then finding a bench to soak it all in while you sip and eat. Fun times!

The downtown square is decked out in Christmas lights and it makes for a nice walk on a cool evening. Parking on the square is limited but there is plenty within a couple of blocks. The only downside was the lack of public restrooms. But, for the price of a hot chocolate, some of the establishments are OK with you using their facilities.

The Christmas lights are beautiful and amazing. Great for getting into the Christmas mood. The square has thousands of lights and food. Someone even got married while touring the lights

if you are looking to relax this is the place. shops, dining, and the beautiful gardens. this is also where you can find the farmers market.
For eats there is Hugo's, Fresco Café, Damn Good Pies, Tim's Pizza, Thai, Retro 1925, Loafin Joes sandwiches. Coffee shops, cupcakes etc.

This is an awesome Farmers Market. We loved it!! It is small in size but the wonderful variety of fresh veggies, flowers, jellies and crafts more than made up for it!! Hats off to Fayetteville’s Farmer market! Loved it!!!

This is a nice shady stroll in the center of the historic part of the city. The modest gardens are attractive, as are the well-maintained older buildings. It is a real bonus to be there on a day that the Farmers' Market is being held around the square. There are interesting shops and restaurants nearby if you wish to linger.

Nice area to walk around and not feel like your in the city. Easy access to food and drink. Love the Farmer's Market on Saturdays.

We enjoy the convenience of the stores and restaurants. All in walking distance from the Chancellor. Variety of place.

This was a nice, quaint, garden on the square area. Farmers market was going on and fun to shop at. People were really nice and the flowers all around the square were in full bloom and very pretty.

Such a fun time for entire family! Lots to offer for eating healthy and living healthy. So much to see also, live music, A handmade Loomer, beautiful art and lots of lovely flowers. Find some fun every time you go!

Maybe I'm biased, but I have lived all over this country, and our Fayetteville downtown square is the best. The gardens are lovingly maintained and free to visit on any day, with strategically placed benches and interpretive signs. You may have the square almost to yourself on days when the farmer's market is not in session, but on Saturday mornings, it's the meet and greet center of town. Grab a coffee or muffin, pick up high quality local crafts from skilled artisans, and, in season, the freshest flowers and produce possible. A real gem for our community we are fortunate to have. Opening again soon come April.

Wonderful market and stalls of handicrafts. Lovely atmosphere on a spring evening first Thursday open evending around the town square and surrounding area.

The downtown square in Fayetteville has beautiful plants and flowers, often has a musician or two, in the growing season has a fine farmer's market, and, during the holidays has a beautiful light display with music, hot drinks, and rides for the children. All this, plus numerous places to eat and interesting shops on the square as well as neighboring blocks.

A quaint small town square with restaurants, shops and places to people watch. Well worth a stop if in the area.

We are fortunate enough to live here so get to visit a lot. Saturdays in the late spring, summer and fall can not be beat. It was voted one of the best Farmer's markets for our size town in the country by some publication. Many vendors with local produce, flowers, art, quality handmade crafts (baskets, weaving, cutting boards, jewelry, soap to name just a few) and bakery and meat items intermingle with families, dogs and music to create a wonderful cacophony of life. Beautiful flowers/landscaping, water fountain which attracts frolicking youngs ones and dogs and a blocked off square complete the experience. If you are lucky enough to be here then it can not be beat. Having said that, it it still very good at other times.

Wonderful old town square with former post office in middle. Sam Walton had a 5&10 here before Walmart.

Loved just walking around and looking at all of the unique buildings and shops in the downtown area. Good places to eat too. The mix of historic, and modern buildings is well done.

The Square it the typical old downtown area, with the building that used to house the town's post office in the center of the square. This area has seen some revitalization and expansions in the past few years. Small boutique shops and larger meeting spaces dot the premier, as well as several good place to grab some food or a drink. Nearby Dickson Street is the entertainment district that leads right from the square to the University of Arkansas Campus. Several mornings a week the Farmer's Market sets up shop around the square--great place to pick up fresh foods, flower and crafts.

We try to swing by on Saturday mornings to catch the wonderful farmers market! Goes all the way around the square and has a bit of everything! And all organic and healthy!? Maybe not the delicious cookies...or the breads.
Free parking everywhere!!

The square in Fayetteville has always been a favorite place for me. It is beautiful, and a wonderful place to walk around on a warm day. In recent years, many of the shops have moved out, but there are still lots of restaurants to frequent. There is even an art studio that you can walk through.

Beautiful flowers and great music. Could have spent all morning there, lots of garden veggies. Pet friendly.

Fun place to hang out, rest relax and take in the ambiance. Spring thru fall they have a farmers market and First Thursday's activities with entertainment, food trucks and wine tasting.

Be sure and visit the square at night to see all the holiday lights. The city put them up just for you so don't miss it. There are a few surprises that I'll let you discover for yourself!

The gardens around the Fayetteville downtown square are incredibly beautiful! There are many local shops, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. around the square. It is great place to spend any day! However, the highlight of the area is the local farmer's market on Saturday!

Farmer's Market on Sat morning is always a fun visit/trip. The wife always buys some fresh fruit, veggies and/or plants. I like seeing the people and all the dogs.

It's beautiful and there's many things to do around the area. Whether you and your loved ones are coming to see the sites and experience the fun or have a snack or a meal while you shop, there's plenty to do when your stop is around the Fayetteville Square. The Alchemy Macaroons and Tea shop is a special treat indeed. It will be hard to pick what you want to have there with the wonderful selection but easy to know you have to plan to get special gifts from here. Colorful, yummy, and a beautiful place at Alchemy but everything is on the downtown square in Fayetteville.

This is one of the smaller "town" squares we've visited, but also one of the most beautiful & well-maintained. I've only been there during "growing" seasons when the landscaped bushes, trees & flowering plants are absolutely beautiful. There's also a small waterfall & pond, & benches or low stone fences to sit on. There are several eateries, gift stores etc around the square.
If possible, be sure to visit during one of the Saturday Farmers' Markets (April - Nov.. & other days during the week; check with the web or the visitor center). The square is alive with tents & booths of fresh, local fruits & veggies, sustainably-raised meats, flowers, soaps, honey, entertainers & even a few arts & crafts. We got coffees & muffins & enjoyed the people- (& dog-) watching too.
Town squares are indicators of the vitality (or lack thereof) of a place; downtown Fayetteville, which feels smaller than it is, is clearly alive & well.

The Fayetteville Parks & Recreation did a FANTASTIC job with the holiday light display! The lighting of the Ozarks kicks off with a fun family friendly countdown, and parade! Thounds of beautiful lights glitter around amaze kids and adults of all ages! For the lil ones pony rides, light toys, funnel cakes, and various vendors are found around the square! I highly recommend this! #fayetteville #hogs #christmaslights #familyfun #fayettevilleparks&rec

If you love locally grown produce, blue berrys, peaches, hand crafted items, local photography, Hank Kamansky brass arts, local musicians on every corner (or more!) and dogs galore, this is the place to be! Weekends can be crowded, but the energy and good-will is high. At Christmas, oh my, it's a winter wonderland. Don't miss it if you are here for the holiday season. The small gift stores, a coffee house, a pizza place, a French Bistro, a Himalayan Mountain shop, David Adams jewelry, and more await your curiosity.

I usually take a peaceful walk around the square with my dog and look at all the beautiful garden areas. I get planting inspiration while looking at all the perfectly planted groupings. The city's gardeners take great pride and care of public spaces and we appreciate it. There are plenty of restaurants and shops to suit anyone's taste. This area is exceptionally enchanting during Christmas time when thousands and thousands of lights are on display. A must see! What a wonderful place to live or visit.

So very proud of our Fayetteville square, from the beautiful gardens to the famous Farmers market! It is a must see!!!

The Fayetteville Square is absolutely beautiful year round. In the spring and summer the farmers market is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It’s family friendly and dog friendly. The gardens around the square are breathtaking. It is a must see if you’re a guest in Northwest Arkansas.

Fayetteville does it right when it comes to town squares. There are three different aspects I enjoy by season.
Year round I love the combination of shops, restaurants and pubs. There are coffee shops, pizza joints, pubs, rathskellers, shirt shops, loose-leaf tea stores, and more. You can easily spend a half day taking in all that the square has to offer. The town square is south of Dickson Street, which is more of a bar and party scene, while the town square is more shopping, quaint and family oriented.
Three days a week starting in April, the square turns into a farmers market. Saturday morning is spectacular. The atmosphere is pleasant, filled with music and stalls on all four sides of the square. It's usually packed with people sampling the food, buying vegetables/flowers and looking at vendors artwork. Owners and their dogs are everywhere. It's wonderful to see and pet all the dogs.
Right after Thanksgiving, the square becomes a holiday bonanza. The massive trees are covered in Christmas lights. It's beautiful in its own right. At night, the atmosphere comes alive with music, horse drawn carriages, and people.
Parking on or near the square is available, but it can be a challenge. There are dozens of slots available right on the square or one block off during non-event periods. If there is any kind of event, then parking gets scarce. There is a rather large lot to the west that you can use.

The Farmers' Market is a great experience from Spring through early Fall when it gices way to festivals and the lights on the square for the Holiday season. A 'Can't Miss"!

Love going downtown Fayetteville to attend performances at TheatreSquared and The Walton Arts Center!

The downtown square is always nice, but you need to take time to visit it during the holidays. The lights and all the stuff to do down there make it great for the family or a date.

Enjoyed going down to the square any time of year. In the winter, Christmas lights are up and it's so festive. In the spring into fall, vendors sell their wares, from fresh fruit and vegetables and meat to soaps and hats.

Beautiful! Makes you want to slow down and take it all in! The atmosphere matches the beauty of the flowers and buildings surrounding it.

I have been viewing the square area since 1964. The changes have been dramatic from a large department store and post office to smaller shops and eateries — the area has always been maintained during the years and the flowering bushes are quite attractive during the spring and summer. Well worth a visit and the Christmas season is very special.

Sometimes casual ,don't get dressed up fun is in your own back yard. Exciting when school is in but a pleasant distraction when school is out

Went Christmas Eve and it was a great ongoing show. Lights galore, pony and camel rides, horse and buggy rides, food and Santa. We all had a great time and am glad we did it!

In any season, this is a "must see" for travelers. Keep in mind that the holidays are a light show and the fair weather brings local farmers' market and arts to the square on Saturdays.

This was our first visit to Fayetteville and walking around the historic downtown. The buildings are beautiful with their wonderful brickwork and there are many flower gardens throughout the square and downtown area.
The day was beautiful as we took a very pleasant and leisurely walk around the square. A great way to spend an afternoon.

There's great little botiques here, as well as Hugo's, a great underground burger place. There's almost always something fun going on around here. Make sure you stop by bliss cupcakes too!!

Oh wow! How beautiful were the lights!! In addition, you could ride a pony, a camel, and in a carriage. Santa was there and so were funnel cakes and got chocolate...a great way to end a December night

One of best places to live in USA, great area to rise a family with good opportunity’s to go school or get a great job !!!

The farmers market on Saturday morning is more than great. So many great vendors and live music. Bring a bag with you, you'll find something that you will like!

My wife and I make sure to walk the square at least a few times every Holiday season to see the lights and enjoy the atmosphere. Just a great time of year to share a moment together.

In the springtime they have Farmer's Market. Hopping meeting place year-round. Snack places and Tim's pizza.

Great place to visit. During the growing season the Farmers' Market is a treat as well as the surrounding gardens. First Thursday of each month during spring & summer offers music, crafts, arts, etc. Christmas brings a lighting of the square & Christmas parade. Well worth a visit. Only the dead of winter offers little activity.

Downtown Fayetteville is such a beautiful place that perfectly captures the atmosphere of the city. Walking around the square and getting a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants is my favorite thing! Every winter Christmas lights are hung everywhere on the square. It's a must-see my family and I cannot go without. During the summer there is a farmer's market on Tuesdays and Sundays (Sundays being the most popular). It's a great way to meet new people and get a taste of the town. Did I mention it's dog-friendly?

Fun little area in downtown Fayetteville. The square is built around the historic old Post Office. It was a Saturday afternoon late and school had not started yet. So it was quiet. Lots of flowers. Several good restaurants in the area. Walking distance to about everything in downtown Fayetteville. The whole area just had a good vibe to it.

I go for the farmers market; always music, food and good merchants! The parking is NOT a problem and the gardens/landscaping is always pretty!

Lovely square to walk around and visit the local shops. Anchor, Savoir Fare, With home supply and Shindig Paperie to name a few. Enjoy watching locals and visitors alike whole sitting on a bench sipping savoy tea, arsegas coffee or snacking on a Bliss cupcake. Dog and child friendly! Just a short walk from the public library as well.

An unreal display of holiday lights all around the square. Seems every branch on every tree was covered. A must see for holiday decoration seekers

Love this beautiful town square! Year round it always has something unique to offer. Unlike so many downtown squares in the U.S. small businesses are thriving with fun and unique stores, and great places to eat near the square.
Vetro offers real Italian lunch and dinner in an elegant setting. It's so beautiful there.
The Farmer's Market runs early summer through fall in a peaceful setting with blooming trees and flowers depending on the time of year you are there. It always has a nice variety of vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowers.
If your lucky enough to be in town during December, do not miss spending an evening at the square with the billions of lights and festivities!

We had a wonderful time at the downtown square. Riff Raff was one of our favorites. We had some amazing handmade truffles, visited the world peace ball, and many shops. We look forward to visiting again!! The tulips are gorgeous!!!

The nicest people were working in the shops. Some of the shop owners were the only staff. Each one made us feel so welcome and it wasn't because they were trying to sell us anything. They offered advice on restaurants and just made conversation. Would love to go back there.

Saturday morning the farmers market is going strong with fresh produce, food options, flowers, and music on every corner. We love to be there and just take in the culture.

This area offers so much. There's beautiful things to see on the square no matter what season your visit occurs. Also, there's great businesses and places to eat near the square so walk around and see it all then have some good eats! Vetro offers real Italian lunch and dinner in an elegant setting. It's so beautiful there. Dam Good Pies is another favorite. Try a Bliss cupcake. Enjoy the Christmas lights, Farmer's Market, or peaceful setting with blooming trees and flowers depending on the time of year you are there. It really is a place you must experience if you're going to see Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Farmer's Market is unique and so worth going to on this square.

Go for the Gardens, stay for the food or farmer's market. One of the most popular spots on Saturday, Tues, & Thursday mornings during the spring and summer due to the Farmer's market - offering local fresh foods, and live music everywhere (on saturday). On other days, the gardens are simply stunning. Grab a cupcake at Bliss (in the central building) or a pastry at Bouchee Bistro, or a cup of coffee at Jammin Java, and enjoy a leisurely stroll around the square taking in the carefully cultivated and groomed gardens. There are at least a dozen good restaurants within a few blocks of the square, as well as the nationally award winning Fayetteville Public Library (a wonderful spot for coffee and a peaceful view) (2 blocks west of the square). A great place to walk the kids or dogs.

We enjoyed the square. There are several good bars and restaurants. There are decent boutiques and a good record shop. And the square is nicely decorated and landscaped.
But not much activity. We hit the square in Denton, Texas, another college town, several times a year. It is ten times more vibrant.
Again, pleasant, but it could be so much more.

After walking around town and shopping the square is a quiet place to take a break.
Beautiful variety of flowers with names on a garden pick below. Butterflies and sunshine on benches in an arbor.

My family drove into downtown Fayetteville on Saturday morning and found easy parking in the parking deck just south of the square. We arrived on the square to find live bands playing, row upon row of fresh local produce for sale, fresh cut flowers, a few artists, and even a dog adoption set up. The place was alive with activity and diversity of people from all across the area. Most seasonal produce was organic or sustainable and all but a few of the farmers had very reasonable prices.

We went to the square for the Farmer's market, but there is shopping all around it and also restaurants everywhere. It's nice to walk around and see everything.

Fayetteville Square is an absolute favorite for me and my family. It's absolutely beautiful year-round...flowers bloom from early spring to late fall...and NOTHING is more fantastic than the Christmas season on the square...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

The place to be every Saturday morning! The fresh veggies bring us back. The music, meeting friends and the great food "stands" are a reason to stay longer. Come join us relax, have a great coffee and a 'sticky bun' and relax a while!

The Fayetteville city square is delightful--shady benches, lush plantings (complete, I must report, with a hungry rabbit)--and three times a week it hosts a market with vendors selling homegrown produce, crafts, flowers, and music; hours are 7 to 1 p.m. The Old Post Office is now an event center, and the rest of the time it's just picturesque. Interesting shops and eateries surround the square. (We particularly recommend the craft brewery.). A visitors' center offers helpful advice, maps, and souvenirs.

I loved walking through the garden and seeing the wonderful variety of plants! The colors are gorgeous and the whole area is very well maintained. I really enjoyed it and will be looking for some of the plants I saw to add to my own garden!

Decked out with flowers, the Farmer's Market and thousands of lights for the Christmas Holidays the Square has come a long way since the days of Walmart and the NWA Mall stealing all the shops and almost killing the downtown area.

This is the best farmer’s market I’ve visited in a very long time. Fresh produce, fresh-cut flowers.

My family visited during a weekend stay in the area and loved the lights display. However, I would have enjoyed it even without the lights. There were several good restaurants and shops within walking distance. Lovely town!

The downtown square is a dream-come true....filled with farmers' stalls full of produce fresh from the fields, baked goods, flowers, and down-home music of every genre, on every corner. The gardens gleam in every color, and it's hard to wipe a silly grin from one's face, after a few minutes' exposure. I took a visiting friend there, and she commented that it felt like she'd entered some heavenly realm.

This is a lovely place for shopping, a leisurely walk through the various garden paths or checking out the farmers market on Saturday or tuesday. Even when it's bustling it seems peaceful. The landscaping is lovely and there is plenty of art and local shops around. There are also a few restaurants scattered around if you're feeling peckish. I really enjoy walking around and looking at everything every time I've gone.

What an amazing light display at Christmas!! It was very beautiful and worth fighting some traffic!!

The square in Fayetteville dates back pre-civil war days. Most of the buildings of course have been updated and modernized. The old post office building in the center of the square has been various restaurants in the past. The best thing about the Fayetteville square is the Lights on the Square at Christmas time. They have carriage rides, and various entertainment venues all year long including a farmer's market on weekends.

There is not that much to the square, but it is charming, especially in the spring with flowers blooming. Very safe, even late at night. There are a number of restaurants in the area and parking isn't too big of a problem.

Visiting the weekend after Thanksgiving meant it was fully decorated for Christmas. Staying at The Chancellor & taking evening strolls to this entertainment made for a phenomenal weekend.

Varying in theme year round, the downtown Fayetteville Square is a beautiful sight to behold. Surrounded by all types of unique businesses, the cool, shded area is very relaxing and inviting. weekly farmers Markets make it a great place to be in season, and the lights at Christmas are spectacular. Well worth a visit year round!

Good: Free parking after 6pm, not that tedious dollar-per-hour garbage on Dickson Street. Shops are good and the restaurants are good, but they need more bars. More bars!!!!!

Walked around the square on Saturday October 15th. It was so great to see all the fun affordable flowers, veggies, and crafts to purchase. Wonderful atmosphere and super fun to be with my family.

Fayetteville has a charming square. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and clean. Dog friendly. Excellent farmer's market and fun Christmas parade. Local businesses are fun and funky.

The square seems like a quick little trip but the flowers are always gorgeous and are maintained by the same people who care for the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. The Farmer's Market is open almost every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from April to September/October, and the Saturday markets really are a treat. Food trucks come out, it's super child and pet-friendly, everyone is nice; it's just a great experience.
Bouchée Bistro has killer breakfasts, Tiny Tim's Pizza/Ozark Brewing Co. are a delicious lunch or supper stop, and Savoy Tea Co. just around the corner is pleasant at all hours of the day (as long as those hours are from 10am-6pm). Petra's has authentic Middle Eastern food, but is only open for lunch. Their lunch deals are affordable and delicious. Taste of Thai is also a local staple.
In November the Lights of the Ozarks display goes up. You can pay to visit Santa's reindeer, ride a pony or a camel (yes, a camel), but the lights themselves are spectacular. Add some great local shopping, and you're set.

Beautiful flowering trees and shrubs and plants surrounding the square, along with highest quality, locally grown, organic produce that looks too good to eat!! Live music, friendly people walking their dogs and their children ~ all makes for a very pleasant atmosphere.

My wife and I went by the Fayetteville Downtown Square for the farmers market on a Saturday morning this past May. This is one of the best farmers market that I have ever attended. The only other one that was better was one we attended in Whitefish, Montana a few years back. They have music, a good variety of fruits and vegetables, baked goods and crafts. If you are ever in the Fayetteville area on a Saturday morning, be sure to drop by the Downtown Square for the farmers market.

Went here for New Years Eve, had the pleasure of seeing the lights of the Ozarks, very beautiful. They had lots to offer for all different likes during the " The last night " for new year's eve. Had a great time

The Farmers Market is awesome. The gardens are beautiful and well kept. Shops are nice and more are walking distance. The whole place lights up at Christmastime for an experience you'll always remember.

The Fayetteville Square is a delightful way to shop for healthy vegetables and fruits, gorgeous bouquets of flowers, organic meats, fresh breads, unique pottery, and original drawings. Everyone and their dog hangs out to visit and listen to music on the corners. Food trucks are handy for coffee, breakfasts and lunches. This is the best way to spend a Saturday morning in Fayetteville!

Very pretty this year. Carriage ride is here again. Beautiful walk around the square and a great variety of Christmas music is piped in.

Went downtown to have Burton's Ice Cream, so delicious, not to mention they put fruity pebbles on your ice cream, how could you go wrong!!

Fayetteville should be very proud of themselves for creating such a beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. In addition on Saturdays they have a farmers market that is wonderful. Don't miss the flora, fauna and the fun!!!

Wake up a like earlier, join the many farmers with fresh fruit and vegetables. Also fresh flowers and many other unique vendors. Listen to the many beautiful musicians play as you sip coffee. A must 1-2 hours to spend

As a family we love going to the Fayetteville Square on Saturdays to shop at the farmers market. They have great produce and good music. If you dont have a lot going on on a Saturday morning load up the family in the car and check it out. My only complaint sometimes it's hard to find a parking spot. But well worth it when you do.

Fayetteville is one of those towns that tries to make itself cozy and beautiful. The abundance of flowers, the cleanliness, the rolling hills make this possible.

This is one of the most gorgeous city squares I've been to. The farmers market on the weekend is fantastic.

We loved strolling through this area. The grounds are kept so beautifully. It was a nice break before a long drive home.

On most days, the Square is a beautiful, peaceful place to enjoy innovative gardens, quirky boutiques, and excellent restaurants. It's a perfect starting point if you want to visit a tea room, a macaron bakery, record store, craft materials shops, and more excellent restaurants.
On Farmers Market days, though, the Square is a busy jumble of all kinds of people and dogs, with live music and interesting political booths and lots of fresh farm goods. Choose fruit, vegetables, eggs, meat, honey, handspun yarn, freshly baked breads and pastries, and much more.
It's a great place for tourists, and a major shopping venue for locals. Always fun and friendly.

Babies, dogs, street musicians, and politicians in the midst of the Farmers' Market selling a delicious selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. You can't get
more Fayetteville than this.

The Lights on the Square are beautiful!! Fun walking around square, seeing the carriage rides and all the other things happening. We enjoyed our stroll!! The lights are very festive and enjoyable. Take time to Lights of the Ozarks on Fayetteville Square!😄👍🏻

It’s the heart of Fayetteville and depending on the time of year it’s decorated accordingly. Lots of things happen on the square from the Farmers Markets to the New Year’s Eve parties to concerts and more. It’s lovely. Check it out!

We came here right before Christmas and hung out at the square. We showed up in the evening just as the lights turned on and then we rode the horse drawn carriage. It was magical!

Lots of items with fresh fruit and veggies. All kinds of food offerings, soaps, arts and crafts and Fayetteville animal rescue.

Lovely little place! We were there on a Thursday and the farmers market/ vendors were lined up around the square. Very walkable and quaint!

This is only one of the places that describes Fayettevilles' pride in community. We live here in Fayetteville and visit the downtown area often just for the beauty & serenity.

The weather, the fresh vegetables, the flowers the whole experience is worth taking in on the Square.

The gardens are beautiful when I was there in June and walking at night I felt very safe and had a pleasant time window shopping

I am 70 years old and I can remember the square when it looked a lot different. The best parts are still there and are now surrounded by flowers and trees. The old post office is so cool, Bank of Fayetteville did great restoration, and the downtown condos finish off the new square. Be sure to eat at Hugos.

The square is the heart beat of Fayetteville. It is just 1/2 mile from Dixson Street when the Bikes, Blues and BBQ are going on Dickson. It is the location for parades and the farmers market. The city light up the square every Christmas. The Lights of the Ozarks. They have all kinds of events around the square all year long. And when nothing is scheduled it is just nice to walk around and enjoy the flowers and plants.

This is a beautiful classic downtown square. Historic buildings with colorful landscaping. Whether a sunny afternoon walk with the family or a stroll in the evening hours with friends, there is plenty to do and see.

It was a magical visit with lovely people and wonderful sites! I would recommend this to anyone who is visiting In the area! It has something for ages and wonderful restaurants all within walking distance!

Saturday farmers market in the Square seems to be the place to go... and with your pets too! Plenty of area fresh produce vendors, cut flowers, meats, coffee and live music. It's one our favorites when visiting kids for the weekend.

The Saturday AM show on the square is very nice. The flowers are really nicely kept and designed. The regular stores are fin to visit and the people are fun to watch. It is a great way to spend the mid and late morning.

The Fayetteville square is lined with historic buildings and is beautifully landscaped. There are several good shops and restaurants both on the square and just off of it. During the growing season, the area around the square is planted with both green and flowering plants in such a way that there is an abundance of color throughout the year. Many of the plants have labels in case you are curious about what they are. During the holiday season, the square is decorated with an incredible display of lights.
One of the things that I like about the square is how it is used as the location for a number of community events throughout the year. During spring, summer, and fall, the square is the site of an incredible farmers’ market three days a week. In addition to local produce, there are also locally made crafts and performers. While there is plenty to buy during the weekday markets, you’ll see the most vendors and performers at the Saturday markets. The atmosphere on Saturdays reminds me of how I imagine a market day in times past must have been like. Also, it is very dog-friendly. My dog loves to accompany m while I shop. This past summer, I was there for one of their “First Thursday” events, which features local craftspeople, a stage with live music, craft vendors, a beer garden, and food vendors. It was nice, like a miniature street festival. Now that it is December and holiday season, the square comes alive after dark for “Lights of the Ozarks.” This is a very popular event and it can become tricky to find parking. It can also cause traffic jams on main streets near the square, so keep that in mind if you need to be in the area at this time of year after dark. Besides all the Christmas lights, there are food vendors, carriage rides, and camel rides.
No matter what time of year you happen to visit Fayetteville, there is always something to attract your attention on the square. The city had done a good job of optimizing this versatile public space.

Our square is a source of great pride for us Fayettevillians. The gardens are beautiful, and we have lots of thriving businesses and organizations all around. The best, though, is our Farmers Market! Come on Saturday mornings for colorful crowds, live local music on every corner, and of course, fresh home-grown veggies and hand-made arts and crafts!
And this isn't some precious attempt to jump on the locavore bandwagon. The Farmers Market has been a real thing on the square since 1974! Probably the longest-running in the state.
As a final note: I just love that in Fayetteville, the place to be and be seen is shopping for vegetables. That should tell you something about Fayetteville. :)

The first time you see "The Lights of The Ozarks" (one of many special features of the Fayetteville, AR Square), you'll likely say to yourself "who are these incredibly LUCKY PEOPLE to live in such an amazing town?" The second time you see the lights, you'll answer, "ME!" Also host to the Tuesday and Saturday morning Farmers Market, the Fayetteville Square is anchored by "The Old Post Office Building" - which now houses the CHEERS restaurant and bar.

Very nice place ,well kept peaceful place to walk and gather your thoughts or go and enjoy the fsmily

If you want to experience the classic American square, this is it. Several great restaurants and shopping. Also, a short walk from Dickson St. if you want a little more action.

The Christmas lights were fabulous. We enjoyed the carriage ride, pony ride, and the festive atmosphere. The carriage rides didn't start until 6:30 pm (not 5-10p like the rest of the activities) and required cash payment..

If you are in Fayetteville, you must visit the Square. The gardens all around the center building (which is not the courthouse but currently a retail establishment) and on the street corners are spectacular, no matter the season. There is a Farmers Market on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday in the warm months, I think April through October. But the early and late weeks may be Saturdays only. This market is one of the best I've been to--beautiful and reasonable produce, street musicians, and crafts. There are also special events on the Square, such as First Thursdays and Ozark Lights at Christmas. There are restaurants and bars on and near the Square, and it's a short walk to the many establishments on Dickson Street. It's a part of town that you should experience to understand Fayetteville.

Fayetville Downtown Square is like stepping back in time. So relaxing and peaceful to walk the square. The buildings are historic. Farmer's Market is every Tuesday, Thursday (7 am to 1 p.m.) April to October and Saturday 7 to 2 p.m. April to November, The flowers and produce look like something out of a magazine spread! Simply gorgeous. Everything was so fresh. There are other booths, freshly baked goods, coffee, herbal oils, wood work, etc. but the main event is the produce and flowers. Live music as well. Many people stroll with their dogs. Was fun and interesting conversing with everyone. Tables and chairs set up in an area to just sit and talk. Parking is available around the square and no need to feed the meters on Saturday! Free parking! Website is fayettevillefarmersmarket.org

While it appears everything closes early in the evening the square is a great place for a nice evening stroll to relax or a nice place to take a walk with a loved one. A beautiful and peaceful locale full of nice architecture and lots of plants.

Walked around the square and visited a couple of the bars over two nights. We had three couples and had a great time. Loved the area. Some areas still under construction but some great night spots there. Felt safe.

I really enjoyed showing my friends the Fayetteville square. It is beautiful! Farmers market on Saturdays is a highlight. You should really go if you get a chance.

The Fayetteville downtown square is a very pleasant place in which to relax in the shade amongst flowers and trees. The city can be proud of having created such a nice facility for local people and for visitors passing through this corner of Arkansas.

Great place to walk around, with many places to just sit and enjoy the scenery. The downtown square holds a Farmer's Market and art show. During the Christmas holidays, the Lights of the Ozarks are quite lovely there! I would highly recommend visiting the downtown square while visiting Fayetteville. This is the central hub of those of us who lived there.

Fayetteville is home to a large university, and this often brings a certain prosperity and sophistication to smaller towns. No exception here, but it is also graced with a lovely and well preserved historic core. Not large, but certainly pleasant--with lots of restaurants and shops, downtown is definitely worth a visit.

The summer farmer's market is fun and colorful and there are lots of wonderful free produce to buy. The bars and restaurants and shops are good but limited. Everything closes early on Saturday and most are closed on Sunday.

The downtown Fayetteville square has beautiful gardens and lots of restaurants, shopping, art galleries, and events being held through out the year. It is a must see in Fayetteville Arkansas.

If you have a little time to do some shopping, the square is a sweet spot! Cute and unique shops! I like the shops because they aren’t your chain stores, buy local! If you go when the Farmer’s Market is open, consider it a bonus!

We were spending the day in Fayetteville and decided to visit the Farmers Market. It was awesome the only part bad was we are on vacation and couldn't buy the fresh vegetables we saw everywhere. They were 4 different musicians playing for tips. Vegetables, flowers and gifts for sell. If you are in the area on a Saturday morning it's worth a visit.

Not much to look at other than the old post office which is gorgeous and the landscaping around it is amazing! most of the buildings around it are much more modern and the stores are eclectic (if open) but could use a couple more restaurants

Beautiful architecture. Great, unique specialty shops. Several good restaurants. Nice landscaping for kids to play around on (rocks, paths, gardens, etc.). And it's all very pedestrian friendly. If you're in town, you'll want to spend a couple hours hanging out on this square. A delight.

the dog was funy and barked at me it ha d a funy face and made woof sound it was very funy i did da laugh ha ha ha

The Fayetteville square makes for a very pleasant stroll. There are great eateries tucked in the side streets, cute shops and one-of-a-kind items. The farmer's market on Saturday mornings is so fun and offers music, crafts, and lots of fresh food! A trip to Fayetteville should include time on the square and Dickson Street. There are many lunch options as well as nightlife options in the vicinity.

I liked the downtown square area. There's a nice vibe to it and the people I encountered were friendly. Enjoyable to just walk around and some interesting things to look at.

if you enjoying walking around a square they have the farmer market on the square every summer on tuesday , thursday and saturday

Fayetteville downtown is a must visit, It's Faytown's heart. From shopping and food to pubs and venues. Farmers market and Xmas lights.

From one of the longest running farmers markets in the nation to the gardens, there is something for everyone! Not the summer type? Head to the square during the "Lights of the Ozark's " almost 1/2 million lights twinkle and entertain!

The Fayetteville Downtown Square is beautiful any time of year. We have a rather long growing season in Arkansas so there is a wonderful selection of fresh fruits and vegetables from April through October at the Farmers' Market on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings. There are gorgeous flowers and plants all though the year. Of course, the gardens are not as spectacular in the dead of winter, but Christmas on the Square is lovely. There are tasteful Christmas lights, camel, pony, and carriage rides as well as wonderful food stalls. Local school choirs sing carols, and good cheer is in the air. Our family loves it, and I know yours would also. All times of the year, many restaurants are near serving very good food. Visit anytime. It's well worth it.

The downtown has undergone a renaissance. It is very charming and has plenty of parking. If you go on Saturday during the summer they have a great framer's market.

We visited the Fayetteville Farmers Market Saturday. Great variety of vendors and a great weekend activity.

We went here largely to see the peace fountain, which in the winter you have to trip over to find. Freezing outside and no other people in sight. Probably much nicer in spring or summer

The whole Fayetteville experience radiates from its downtown square all the way up Dickson St. To the University of AR. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays you can find hundreds of folks on the square visiting the farmers market. It's an Ozark way of life. Many artists and artisans sells no their wares and playing their music. Local farmers selling organic produce and folks who make pies, candies, tonics, soaps, jewelry and many more cool things. You can score anything from a handmade Alpaca scarf to local organic goat cheese. Top it off with fresh cut flowers and adopt a shelter dog while you're at it.

Neat place to spend time. Was burning time before going to basketball game. Easy to get to. Free parking on weekends and nights.

We love our small time flare. We lo e the square and the many activities during the year. One of our favorites is the beautiful lights on the square.

Great place to enjoy a walk through lovely flower garden and buy fresh, locally grown vegetables and fruit 3 times a week. We always take visitors there when the Farmers’ Market is open. Also beautiful during the Christmas season.

Every southern town used to have a vibrant square in the center of the community. We still do. The downtown square is one of the most vibrant places to be on a Saturday morning during the summer and fall when the Farmer's Market is open. In Mid-November we host Lights on the Ozarks through the Holiday season - one of my family's favorite evening outings! We stop buy Jammin Java for a seasoned hot chocolate for the kids, a glass of beer or wine for the grown-ups. We love to see the local artisans and musicians plying their crafts, and just hang out with the neighbors.

The square is great with beautiful gardens. The Farmers' Market is on the square on Saturdays and a couple of other days and surrounds the square. There are many events on the square and it is surrounded by shops, restaurants and the Visitor Center. Highly recommended,

Some nice shops and restaurants and lovely gardens in the square. A pretty town center! The Old post office in the center is a lovely building.

This is a lovely location around the old post office. The Christmas light display is fun for all ages. The men & women who dress the trees and shruds, well, three cheers. The place is always busy and the farmers market is a seasonal attraction.
Well worth a visit.

Farmer's Mkt T, Th, Sat April - Oct and then there are Lights of the Ozarks! A place to see many from the community and to purchase local produce, flowers, crafts and music. Take advantage of the opportunity to adopt a dog from Fayetteville Animal Shelter.

We stayed one block from the square, so I explored it several times. The highlights are the beautiful gardens and the farmers' market (Tues,Thurs, Sat). Nice shops around part of the perimeter.

Downtown was great. Went to farmers market and plenty of restaurants nearby. Ate breakfast only as we went to ballgames and ate there. Hotel was downtown and all convenient.

This is a great time to visit the square, with the Christmas lights, the animals, and Santa. Good place to bring small children. There are unique stores off the historic square, including one that sells Himalayan clothing. The restaurants in the area are very good as well. Plan to go near dusk, so you can visit the stores, and then stay for the lights at night.

Whether you're visiting the Farmer's Market or having lunch at one of the many great places around The Square, you'll find yourself surrounded by the tranquility and beauty of downtown square.

breathtaking flowers, waterfall and landscape. love the vintage buildings and shops. architecture old and new. at Christmas time the Christmas lights are amazing!

Love to walk around the square to window shop, eat, or just relax. At Christmas, the square is lit up with thousands of beautiful lights. Stop to take photos, ride the ponies, ride the carriage, grab some caramel popcorn, fried oreo cookies, or drinks. Just relaxing as you stroll.

Wonderful shopping, great downtown square. The gardens are very well kept and quite beautiful Make sure to go there during the Farmers Market season, you won't regret it.

I love going to the Fayetteville Square because it is so beautifully gardened. During the summer months, the Square on Farmers Market Days is the place to see people and show off your dog. Christmas on the Fayetteville Square has so many lights it's breathtaking.
The Fayetteville Square has undergone a renaissance and is so wonderful.

About 40 vendors and left be Music on the corners - easy parking. Toilets inside the Town Hall if you enter at the back loading dock.

We ate at Loafin' Joes. Great food and outdoor seating. They don't have white wines, bummer. It was a short walk to the Peace Fountain.

Is a good hotel, good attention and service, the ladies clean my room is very good, proportioned everything I needed.

Town square in Fayetteville is not to be missed because it’s so completely charming. The gardens are lush and beautiful and the surrounding park is the perfect place to relax and people watch. There are also great shops to peruse and a number of different bars and restaurants to enjoy.

Adventures abound in the unusual and diverse ... Always fun and festive, no matter what season, creativity and ingenuity abound in food, music, art and culture culminated from around the world ... University of Arkansas brings out the best in all aspects.

The Fayetteville square has an interest for everyone. Farmer's Market days are fun. Great blend of retail shops. Begin with the Visitor's Center @ the SW corner. Excellent food available.

It is a lovely little traditional court house square. The Christmas light display there is nothing short of amazing! So beautiful! It is worth a special trip just to see! Fun town all the way around.

We had heard good things about Fayetteville's downtown area, and decided to check it out this Saturday. The area was not especially crowded, due to an early football game today. Parking was super easy- we parked 100 feet from the market! The market had a fairly good # of vendors. There was a good variety of produce, and a few interesting non-food items. However, I felt it could have been somewhat better. The prices were high to my thinking, though apparently the produce is organic, and appeared to be of good quality. The vendors had almost identical pricing, with no real competition. It did not appear that prices were going down toward the end of the session, and actual buyers seemed to be few. It was fun, but not fantastic. On the plus side, the square has a nice visitor's information center, and the World Peace Fountain is a block off the square. Also, in the center of the square is Bliss Cupcake Cafe-yum! Hugo's is a great restaurant a block away. So, overall, pretty good!

This square present ample opportunities for strolling or just relaxing. With the lovely plantings and shady areas, there is something to appeal to all.

Downtown is great. Parking a breeze and lots of shops and places to eat and drink! Not far from the Dickson street area and AU campus.

We drove by it after dark; the Square was illuminated with Christmas light and decorations. Something I have never seen before were the red lights outlining Razorbacks on every other lamp pole. It is worth seeing at night; we returned during the day and walked the neighborhood. It's definitely worth a visit!

The square is great to visit anytime of year, but December is the best to check out the "Lights of the Ozarks". Whenever you go, be aware that there are a few shops, bars and eateries on the square and just off the square.

The park is so gorgeous, and a great place to spend a few hours. Lots of history and charm. Good for a picnic, or just have a quiet wamder.

Downtown Fayetteville is great place to enjoy and relaxing! You can eat, drink, visit small stores. It's a colorful place.

Wonderful family atmosphere with great crafts and food. Always do our fresh fruit and vegetable shopping here on Sat. See many friends and catch up on their activities.

This is more-or-less the center of Fayetteville; three days a week, there is a Farmers Market here, on Tuesday and Thursday, a smallish market with vendors on two sides of the square, and only a couple of buskers; on Saturday, all sides of the square and both sides of the street, and a number of buskers. The produce is displayed beautifully, and everybody seems very very happy -- the farmers seemed busy selling their produce, and the customers seemed to be having fun trying to figure out what to buy. Parking nearby is pretty easy, with on-street meters. Put in a quarter and spend an hour; most people probably won't need more time than that. If you're nearby on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday, this is worth a visit.

Walk the Square to enjoy this fantastic farmer's market. Amazing produce, gorgeous flowers, friendly vendors and locals. Great venue in a lively city.

The Downtown square is very net. It has a great farmers market and it is walking distance to the night life in Fayetteville. Check it out if you are visiting the area.

A nice stroll along the walkways enjoying a lovely variety of flowers and color with a water feature and historical buildings to admire. The local stores and brewery add a nice flavor. Always clean and nice any time of year. If you are lucky you can catch the Farmers Market with local fares!

Enjoyed our visit to the square where we could all walk around together. My kids loved seeing all the dogs walking around too! There were cars driving around but everyone was very courteous.

The Farmers Market is bustling with vendors, musicians and families with children (or people with their fur babies!).

Had a great time at the Farmer's Market on a Saturday. It ends promptly at 1pm, so be warned. Parking can be difficult at times, but you never have to walk to far. The gardens are very nice and make a great backdrop for photos. We really enjoy walking around the area.

The Fayetteville Square is the main site of the Fayetteville Farmers Market and many, many other events. The grounds surrounding the historic post office building are actually considered a city park are lovingly maintained. Season to season there is an ever-changing collection of plants and some great old shade trees. The NW corner has a fun, beautiful natural stone waterfall fountain that is irresistible to kids. Lots of benches and low walls are available to sit on. The Fayetteville Town Center is across the street to the South -- be sure to walk around to the back of the Town Center building for one of the best views of the surrounding hills and visit the World Peace Fountain on the way back. Many choices for local food and beverages are within a block's walk so plan to stay for a while!

This is not only the town square but the heart of this amazing college town. Incredible farmer's markets on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday is the go-to meeting place. Local restaurants and boutiques surround the square and its immaculate gardens. A great photo opp!!

The Fayetteville downtown square is built around the Old Post Office, an historic building that has housed the town's first post office, restaurants, bars, offices, a cigar store, a cupcake bakery, and now a start-up business incubator. The building is beautiful and graceful, enhanced by the gorgeous city-maintained flower gardens, originally designed by Don McElhaney. The gardens surround all four sides of the post office, creating the core of the downtown square. A wide sidewalk with benches, plantings of azaleas in raised beds with capstones wide enough to sit on accommodates the thriving Farmers Market on Tuesdays, Thursdays and especially Saturdays from April to November. Listen to jazz, blues, folk, classical and an array of other music by live performers and perhaps dance a little while you fill your bags with produce, flowers, plants and hand crafts. Buy a cup of coffee, an exotic popsicle, some barbeque. Most of all, visit with your friends and neighbors -- they'll all be there. Then cross the street to see more flower beds, a number of locally-owned retail establishments, an art gallery, a handful of restaurants, with more on Center Street, and the Town Center with its plaza and globe-shaped peace fountain designed by local artist Hank Kaminsky and emblazoned with the a "May Peace Prevail on Earth" in every language he could find. There may be a wedding reception at the Town Center that day or a fund-raiser for a local non-profit. There's parking below it, free on Saturdays. During the winter holidays, the square blazes with the Lights of the Ozarks. No matter the time of year or day of the week, it's the place to be in Fayetteville.

We went during the farmers market. So quaint & lots of wares. Beautiful bouquets for $10 or less. Streets are closed for pedestrians. Park a couple blocks away.

Several restaurants and shops (Riffraff, The Mustasche, Terra Tots, etc.). They have a farmer's market on Saturdays (and maybe another day during the week). Very close to Dickson street.

Area is pretty. I always feel safe no matter the time of day. Plenty of different businesses on the square. Lots of events held here.

We visited the square to go to the Thursday Farmer's Market. It is much smaller that the Saturday market, but still a good source of produce. This market is "upscale." Every vegetable is displayed carefully and flowers are arranged in clever bouquets. I enjoy just walking around looking at the booths. The square is a lovely place to visit, but go on a farmer's market day.

We stopped to visit the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning--beautiful vegetables and flowers for sale. There was also music, dancing, and lots of people with their dogs, babies, and children. A very fun place to visit on Saturday morning.

We drove a few blocks from Inn at Carnall Hall where we lodged. Found free parking easily right off the square. It was a Tuesday night, so not very crowded at all. The displays were very well done. The other visitors as well as apparent locals were all very friendly.

Downtown Square is buzzing with energy and excitement and the landscaping is beautiful. Farmers Market offers beautiful flowers, fruits, and veggies, as well as entertainment!
It's worth a stroll any time of day!

The farmers market on the square is not something to miss! Our boys 3 and 4 love going and running around. The fresh produce is amazing! It’s a great place to meet up with friends.

This is one of the best areas In Fayetteville! You can find lots of great shops and restaurants in this area and plenty for everyone! The people around here are also very friendly. A great place to spend your day for sure!

I will bypass other so-so farmers markets for this one! They have more local, organic farmers, local artists, musicians, & native vendors. I have so much fun!

Really enjoyed the gardens around the old post office. Nice shops n restaurants easy walking around.

The atmosphere is relaxing hustle bustle. We went on a Tuesday, so we could get fresh vegetables/fruit. There are several stands with vegetables, fruit, and flowers to buy. All were reasonably priced. After we purchased fruits and vegetables, we walked around the streets visiting stores. There are several stores and lots of variety. It was well worth the time to visit. We ate the fruit as we walked around. Good stuff!

Even if I don't go downtown all year, I always make a trip in December to see the "Lights of the Ozarks". We usually go to the opening night parade, but didn't make it this year because it came unusually early. It really isn't to be missed at Christmas. It will put you in a Christmas frame of mind. The lights are just magical.

it was to nice to visit the market and city while visit family in AR it was so nice on the weekend to see all the different markets and farmers

This is a great place to walk around and explore. Make sure you go before dinner time so that all of the stores will be open.

Great Farmer's Market. Interesting and unique shopping. Feel the fresh breeze coming from the Boston Mountains. Take the self-guided walking tour starting at the visitor's center on the SE Corner of the Square. Grab a local lunch at Tim's or Hugo's. Don't miss Maxine's For an honest fresh ingredient cocktail prepared by the best mixolgists in the world.

We went on farmer's market Saturday mornings. A great time with lots of vendors. The square is done up nice with shops and resturants.

I loved this area! The Christmas Lights were so beautiful. The square is right next to Dixon Street, so there's plenty of places to shop and eat.

My favorite place in town to just hang out. There is a great farmers market every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday! They have many events around the square just check out a local Fayetteville calendar you won't be disappointed !

The Square as it is called is a good place to visit year round. In the spring and summer the flowers are in full bloom. On Thursday and Saturday mornings they have a really great farmers market. People shop for fresh vegetables along with other items. Many bring their dogs and just visit. During the Christmas holidays the "lights of the ozarks" are nothing short of spectacular. Again people gather to enjoy the lights, have a warm drink, and visit. It's a very pleasant time. Generally most of the year something is happening around the square. That doesn't include the good restaurants and stores.

Went to the Christmas Parade on the square for Fayetteville Ar. With a group from work, the temperature was mild. (A little on the cold side but weather was good.) Lots of floats to see and vendors selling popcorn and other stuff. Everyone had fun.

The farmers market on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday is definitely worth the trip. Great veggies and flowers.

Nummies for your tummy. We were in Bentonville on business, but stayed over for the weekend and someone recommended a visit to the Square and Dickson St. While I did have fun spending money around the Square, my favorite experience was at Alchemy just off the Square in Center St. what a fantastic selection of teas and Macarons. I had a wonderful Sunny Days iced tea to enjoy an unseasonably warm Saturday afternoon and bought a selection of 6 Macarons to enjoy in my hotel room all week. The staff was friendly and the shop lovely. Made our visit a TREAT.

Enjoyed this whole city and the downtown is beautiful! Loved all the flowers, the tea shop, Vetro 1925 and Cheers in the old post office.....

We were in town for a funeral and stayed at a hotel right on the square. We really enjoyed walking around to see all of the beautiful holiday lights & check out the food trucks. The lights really made our photos fantastic!

I was so surprised by the small town feel and historical feel of the Downtown Square. Beautiful architecture. Clean. Great small coffee houses and shops. Very unique and well worth a visit and a stroll.

Picked up all sorts of yummy things (and some great art) while wandering around the market. Lovely and colourful ... will go back again!
Was recently in Fayetteville visiting family Thanksgiving weekend. Went downtown to see all the decorated trees with lights. Oh my gosh. It was amazing. From tree to tree lights were strung. Someone said maybe a half of a million lights. They had pony rides. And live camel rides. Food vendors. Santa was somewhere but we couldn't find him. I don't remember if there was a live reindeer. Anyway, had a great time. The lights were awesome. If you are in the area at Christmas, it is a must see.
