Whether you park and walk over one of the walkways, or drive onto the beach, this is a wide open, very small density of other beachgoers. Lots of people walking, sunning, biking, or surfing, but you never feel crowded.

Beautiful beach with warm waters ! We were in St Augustine Florida for a 3 night stay in July 2024 and we had a blast. Our VRBO was situated 300 meters from this beautiful beach. Soft and fine sand with long shallow waters so that young ones can play and swim in the waves. Both my daughters had fun collecting all the different shell they found on the beach. The beach offers accessibility to 4X4 and boardwalks for people coming by foot.

We came in october 2023, its a very clean beach, there were heavy rip currents that day and I have traveled all over the world but I almost drowned here and was out of breath when we got back to shore. Thank the Lord for this!
This didn't deter us, we went back out but was cautious and the current toned down. We spent the whole day there and also went down to the pier and saw the beach from different angles. I really liked the different hues in the sand , the sand had oranges, blues, really nice beach.

Saint Augustine Beach stretches from Vilano Beach to Flagler Beach. Crescent Beach has free parking and good restaurant there South Beach and new one opening soon - Safe Harbor.
Vilano is a little Shellie to walk on in bare feet. St. Augustine Beach at pier has parking and real restrooms. There is a water park for kids with tables. There are volleyball courts too. You can get pay and ride on the beach if you have 4 wheel vehicle. If you live in St. John’s County you can pay for yearly pass. Great deal!!
The beach is hard at Crescent and Butler Beach . There are many walkers and bikers on the beach during the day. You can walk your dog. Have fun!!

Laid back, family friendly beautiful beach! Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Quiet area in May with low crowds (before Memorial Day).

Could do a bit more cleaning. Was very disheartened to see the difficulty it was to access the beach if one is either using a cart or disabled. We were both. No access to beach other than traversing four separate steps of stairs. Uncool.

Excellent beach for everything from building sand castles to finding shells. Very easy to walk on. Close to restaurants.

This was a beautiful, clean beach, & people were appropriately social distancing. And is pet friendly

The beaches here are so beautiful. If in the area a must go.not crowded. Parking wasn't a problem. Plenty of beach for everyone

The beach is clean, large (so social distancing not a problem), easily accessible and parking adequate.

an enjoyable morning stroll, water a bit chilly for me but a decent amount of adults/children out in it.

The beach was amazing but it was unfortunate that there were no opportunities to rent beach equipment after 4p. Due to bad weather, we arrived at the beach around 2:50p

This is by far the best Atlantic Beach we have been to. Not super crowded, sand is soft, and the surf was perfect for the kids body boarding. No complaints what so ever. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for an Atlantic Beach Vacation.

College kids in town and first time at this beach. They loved it, were able to get hot dogs a d snacks and bathrooms on premises. Can be a little tough parking but otherwise, very nice.

We spend an hour or so on the beach; it was really beautiful with umbrellas to rent and a walkway out to the beach that someone should've thought of ages ago!

It is January and could be warmer but the sunshine on this big open beach....was glorious. We will stick our feet in the waves when it gets a little warmer.

St. Augustine Beach is very much a beach town, and in many ways resembles the beach towns of the northeast (New Jersey)......a commercial street along the ocean, with houses and motels, several dining options, and lots of beach access. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit; Along Ocean Ave, there are a lot of dining and recreation options within walking distance of each other. The beach areas are great. The people all around were fantastic; those working at the local establishments were very friendly, and seemed very appreciative of the business.
We can't wait to return.

Lovely beach with many access points. White sand and very level, so it's nice walking. There is a fishing pier that you can walk for $2. Lots of good dining options too. Sunset grill was good.

Not a busy beach which is nice. There is a lifeguard on duty and you have the option to drive on the beach for $10. I would suggest bringing an umbrella with you. Not a ton of shells but there are some options. There's multiple restaurants close to this beach which is also great.

Such a nice clean beach. Great place for the family to enjoy. We found some shells.. swam a little and had a nice time just being together outside. The beaches have pretty white sand and the parking areas are close to the beach so you don't have to walk far to be on it. We also found the outside showers very handy to rinse off and keep our cars free of sand.

How can a beach vacation be anything but great. We were not fond of the dunes to track through in order to reach the beach to enjoy the sun, surf, and ocean water.

Drive on the beach, set up for the day, fish, surf, whatever you want! And family friendly too. What a breath of fresh air!!!

Love, Love, Love this city(the nations oldest city) the entire history of this city. Very quaint, educational & most fun place to see.

The beach was clean and there were many shells. Lots of people with bikes and walking dogs. We walked for miles each way and beach clean and nice.

This beach probably isn't any different than the hundreds of miles of east coast Florida beaches but we loved that it was a three minute walk from our hotel, plenty of space to spread out and it was very quiet. We were there every day and it was very relaxing and busy from early morning to late, late afternoon.

This was the most BEAUTIFUL beach. A pier is right next to the beach and the LIGHTHOUSE. Short walk to the beach, lots of places to rinse off and a nice little water area for the littles. They got food options there as well. Everything in once place-ideal vacation spot. PLUS the city is so ADORABLE and plenty to do.

The beach is very family friendly - wide and spacious. The pier is fun to go out on and see people fish. Overall a great beach/pier combination.

It was an amazing so peaceful feeling at this time of the year in beautiful St Agustine Florida first time on a beach for Christmas Day to take family pictures before the sun goes to sleep so priceless moment in life.

The beach is long with White, soft sand. I love it. Not very good for shelling. Very good for long walks.

First visit to the beach ever. Should have come here sooner. Not crowded while we were there. The waves are perfect for boogie boarding. Our hotel , Hampton Inn was right on the beach.
Woke up a couple mornings to watch the sunrise. Our daughters had an awesome time as well. We do not have sandy beaches like on the East coast of our State.Lots to do while in the area as well.We look forward to the next visit.

We normally stay in Naples, and I love the beach there. That said, St. Augustine Beach is better. It just is. We rented an umbrella and chairs near the lifeguard station, and it was a good thing we did. One person in our party ended up getting sick and dehydrated, and the lifeguards were wonderful to her. We are so appreciative of their care. Another thing we loved about this beach is that it was dog friendly. It just made the place even better. We will return.

What a nice beach and awesome weather and cool breeze so relaxing and a clean beach just watch for seashells but other than that nice maintained beach will be back!

While it is February everywhere else, it is not feeling that way at the beach in St Augustine. Quaint local shops, easy access to the beach made the day wonderful. Water still cold but The Atlantic was beautiful this day.

Nice waves and huge shells. Free parking up and down the coast. You can bring alcohol also. Would go again.

Very pretty beach. Nice sand and beautiful water. Not a lot of people which made social distancing easy. Beach was very clean and definitely great for families.

This nice Beach is wide, pet friendly and the beach has big waves, great for surfing and cool for teenagers.

St. Augustine Beach is a stunning destination with its soft sands and inviting waves. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, perfect for a day of sunbathing or beach games. Nearby shops and restaurants offer delicious local fare. Sunsets here are breathtaking, making it a must-visit spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy coastal beauty!

Loved the St. Augustine Beach shore. We traveled in September and it was not crowded. Lots of surfers to watch, shells to collect, and a fishing peers to play on.

Walked from Campground to north end of beach 6 miles round trip,. perfect day. We entered the beach through the Anastasia State Park.

St Augustine Beach is so much more than just a beach. There was a small playground next to a fairly big splash pad. It was next to the fishing pier and the entrance to the beach was right in the middle of it all. My kids had a blast.

St Augustine beach. Very clean, crowded but quiet. not a lot of amenities. Two restaurants across street. Had a great beach day and lunch.

We normally go to the Gulf Coast side of Florida but decided to try the Pacific Coast and the historic town of St. Augustine this year. We were not disappointed! The beach had more waves and shells to collect. The tide was fun to see change from way out where you could walk on dry sand to just a few hours later, where the water covered everything. The sand is different but easier to walk on. I’m glad we went.

Wide beautiful beaches. Clean, accessible and fun facilities. Walking distance to everything you may want - meals, snacks, drinks, music. Definitely recommend this spot to everyone!

Gorgeous powder white sand along the coastal waters. Long driving available for vehicles. Park right on the beach near your favorite spot.

One of the highlights of our trip was heading to St. Augustine Beach first thing in the morning on January 1st! The beach and the surf was the perfect backdrop for a leisurely walk to reflect on the past year and plan for the new one. The shells were abundant so if you like to shell seek, this may be a good spot for you. We stopped off at north beach and crossed over on a pedestrian bridge. The only negative was a huge pipeline running the length of the beach. It may not be permanently exposed but it was when we were there.

The beaches are gorgeous. We are from the west coast of Florida and are used to the gulf of Mexico. The Atlantic Ocean is amazing. I really appreciate that the beaches are dog friendly as long as they are leashed. Definitely come visit the beach when you visit.

The St Augustine Beach is large and very deep in the area we visited. Very gentle slope from the dunes to the water. Water was rough the day we visited and it was cold too! But, the sand is powdery fine and snow white. Just the most gorgeous views and wonderful day strolling the beach and sitting enjoying the views of the ocean.

Hard packed sand made for easy walk along the beach. Great for the whole family to spend the day and have fun.

Was surprised to find how dog Friendly this beach is! Wide with beautiful sand and great atmosphere...

Beautiful beaches. Nice friendly people, watching the sunrise on our balcony was absolutely breathtaking. The hotel resort we stayed at had amazing staff and the rooms were very nice. It truly was an amazing vacation!

There is not much going on at St. Augustine Beach and that‘s good. Limited hotel and condominium capacities (no high-rise buildings) on A1A and the close by Anastasia State Park leaves you plenty of room on the sandy beach. Automobiles permitted on parts of the beach. Beach pier just reopened recently after completion of repair work on the pier‘s structure. Only the last 100 feet of the pier remain closed until further notice. We‘d come back…

The surf seemed really rough but there was a storm working it's way around the Atlantic. Beaches were clean, lots of stars, sea turtle nests that were roped off, soft sand, and shells.

We live on the Gulf side of Florida so it was fun for my grandkids to experience the Atlantic Ocean.

We were very impressed with the lack of garbage on the beach. Most South Florida beaches are covered with trash, some that washes up from the ocean, and some that careless people leave on the sand. For some reason, the beaches in St. Augustine had absolutely no trash anywhere. This was wonderful!

Beautiful large beach easy access perfect for taking a great walk where to rest on the beach. Easy walking distance to nearby hotels

Bulldozers, excavators, and machinery running. Nothing peaceful about the beach. Huge rusty pipe about 3 ft in diameter running the length of the beach. They have sand pulled up so you can crawl across. Worst beach ever

Beach area was beautiful. We spent every morning and afternoon in the sun and wonderfully warm and clear water. White powdery sand that never gets hot on you feet. Great stay, two weeks of heaven.

Best beach ever!So relaxing and beautiful. Many wonderful restaurants in all different price ranges. Strolling the quaint downtown streets, and a fantastic outlet mall. Love every second we are there and always hate to leave.

Being from California, we have been disappointed in Florida beaches. Not enough wave action. This beach did not disappoint. Great for boogie boarding.

We stayed adjacent to Viilano beach nad loved taking morning strolls on the wet sand in both directions,. Beach was clean ,sea was cold and birds aplenty.

Beautiful beach and dog friendly!! It wasn’t too crowded and the water was perfect!! We all loved it!

I love it out here! This beach is always so nice to visit! Parking can be tricky at times but some research ahead of time can help with that. I always enjoy myself out here.

The beach was one of the highlights of our trip. During all this Vivid mess, you could see people laughing and also enjoying going themselves.

A beautiful beach and well kept ! We didn't feel uncomfortable or unsafe. It wasn't too crowded. Very clean!

We so enjoyed our morning walk here during our stay. It is not far from where we were staying and the beach was clean and beautiful. Parking was free and convenient

We spent our summer vacation atSt Augustine beach. As a FL native I'm a bit more of a west coast beach guy. However, St Augustine is a great east coast option. So clean, with smooth sand and fairly uncrowded. Not a lot of hotels or restaurants on the beach, for good or bad. Calm and very Florida. Of course it's only a short drive to old town St Augustine and all that offers.

What a beautiful beach along primarily residential stretch of the coast. My family started thinking of moving there from Central FL.

Fantastic Waves! Family loved it. Granddaughter is 7 and she laughed and ran into the waves. Got knocked over and did it again.

We took a walk along Vilano Beach and were impressed with its cleanliness and the fact that it allows dogs on the beach. We got some very nice photos of the beach and ocean. Since we are from the Gulf Coast, we weren't used to the brown sand since ours is white.

This could be Florida's hidden secret as this beach is very wide, has plenty of room, is not crowded at all, and is very clean! You can also drive your SUV on it (although I believe you need a permit)....

This review covers the wide beach near Guy Harvey Resort. I was on the beach with a cup of coffee at 6:45 to catch the sunrise. There were only a few other people on the beach at that hour and the sand stretches for miles in either direction. As the day progresses, hotel and resort guests start to dot the beachscape, but it's really mostly beautiful and quiet. No parasailing or jet ski shops near where I was. No one hawking anything! Just the beach and the waves and little shore birds with their skinny little legs racing around like an old timey Keystone Kops movie! The Atlantic is pretty cold at that hour, but I had to get my feet in there and after a while you don't even notice the cold. Dunes located closer to beachside properties are filled with wildflowers and seagrasses that scent the air. The beach itself was spotless. Though the hotels and condos that line the beach are large, they appear tiny when viewed from the beach side. Local ordinance limits the height of buildings and that's a good thing as there are no high rises to block views. Loved every second of my time here.

Enjoyed this beach - we had gone to the beach at the Anastasia park earlier. The public beach did not have the long walk over the dune, so if you were carting loads of stuff....that could be a consideration. Public parking seems to be limited per area, but there are several areas to choose from along the beach.
The beach itself is beautiful white sand - not many rocks or shells. The day we were there it was a strong current and there were lifeguards posted.

Per the St Augustine webpage, masks are enforced while indoors. Visited a couple of stores for essential items we forgot and were highly disappointed to see MANY without masks including those working at the shops.

It is a great beach with lots of space, especially at low tide. I love the dunes - we saw turtles in there, and of course they protect all the houses and condos. I will never get used to cars driving on the beach, but it is a thing on many Florida Atlantic coast beaches.

Spectacular beaches, awesome historic village, picturesque vistas everywhere: Old town Restaurants, historic fort, cathedral, art shows and galleries.

Plenty of parking. Showers for rinsing off. Uncrowded. Bathrooms available. Pier is under renovation and not open yet

Beach was clean and we were able to drive on the beach and park. Beach was not crowded and we enjoyed the surfers.

Saint Augustine Beaches are just beautiful all the way down to the Mantanza River Inlet and they are easily accessed off A1A. You can access the Inlet area just off the parking area. The beach is very wide at low tide there and make for some awesome pictures.

This is such a beautiful beach with wide white sand with occasional red shell sand patches. It's dog friendly and has a pier. Lots of great restaurants and hotels. 30 mph speed limit and pedestrian walk ways are strictly enforced which is important for crossing A1A to many hotels. Highly recommend this tranquil beach.

We visited this beach at the height of spring break, worried we’d encounter lots of collegiate breaker behavior. Luckily, this beach appears to solidly attract retirees and families, which is great for a burned out millennial like me!! The water was cold but not frigid and the waves are pretty small. I will say the tide can be strong when it’s windy out.
This beach is extremely clean, with clear water, and there’s no kelp or seaweed underfoot.
About the surrounding area - There’s a lot of public parking so you’re not lugging your stuff from a mile away. We parked by a best western right across from the beach. There’s an excellent frozen custard place called Rita’s nearby that you should try.
10/10 beach experience for this tired 20something

It's hard to review something natural like this. It is well kept, clean, and enormous. Plenty of room. But this isn't really a swimming beach. It's crashing waves and gray water. I don't fully appreciate its appeal after going to Caribbean beaches. But if you know what to expect, you won't be disappointed.

This is a beautiful and very large beach with wonderful white sands. One can swim, surf, boogie board, or just lay in the sun. There is no natural shade/palm trees so bring your own umbrella if you like. There are a number on entry points--we entered off of "A Street" which was nice as we at twice at the Beachcombers Restaurant right at the beach entrance. Pretty good food and a great location. Public bathrooms are available near the beach are are reasonably clean.
If you like the beach--no need to drive to Daytona!

THE NEXT VENICE BEACH, CA IN ST AUGUSTINE...😰
Can I tell you how dissappointed I am with your city?!?
Imagine, walking around the shops near Castillo San Marcos, and what do I see? Homeless, druggies, and beggars on the street.
I't's starting to resemble Venice Beach, California! In speaking with one of the shop owners, they advised the city counsel allows.
One guy specifically makes $200 a day and on a bad day, makes $50.00. Not only that, but they are being given food and drink!
Why?!? This is NOT the St Augustine I knew and loved! Will think twice before returning! Extremely dissappointed.

This is one of the most beautiful beaches that we have ever been to! It is a wide, white sand beach with lots of room to socially distance from others. When we visited, a hurricane was threatening St. Augustine, so the waves were exceptionally big with heavy surf. So, it made it the perfect time to boogie board and body surf! It is also a very safe beach. The flags were up to warn beach lovers of the ocean conditions (e.g. red = rough waves, be careful of undertows) and there are life guard chairs along the beach. Plus, the bottom is soft sand--no need for water shoes and a safe beach to learn how to surf and to boogie board!! We had an amazing time playing on the beach. Wonderful family memories were made here :).

Very laid back, not too crowded. Life guards on duty during the day. Incorporates a state park where sea turtle nesting and a sea gull refuge.

My review may not be the most dependable since if it is a beach, I love it. This one is no exceptioni - love it.

Really nice beach in the south of crescent beach area where we stayed, wide stretch of mainly unoccupied soft sand beach, Dolphins, sharks and turtles all seen regularly. Only thing is there is real lack of any facilities, nowhere to walk to for a coffee or beer, nowhere to sit and chill other than in the house we stayed in, would definitely go back, but preferred the locations at the other 2 places we stayed that are similar, Jensen Beach FL and Folly Beach SC.

A relatively narrow beach at high tide, but great for watching surfers and walking the pier. Water is clear and clean!

Contrary to the few negative reviews, there are many beautiful sections with easy public access. Wide beach excellent for walking, sunning, swimming and biking. Better areas are nearer St Augustine Beach. Access for driving on the beach. Clean white sand.

This a beautiful beach that attracts lots of tourists, There are a few less-popular spots on the perimeter of the beach that are worth checking out. Moving southward along A1A from Crossroads, the first break within regular striking distance of the St. Auggie crew is Gate Station.the surf is nothing special; it's more popular as a convenient place to park and grab a drink after a session.

White sand as far as the eye can see and as far as you can walk.
Driving allowed, from north to south, pet friendly while on leash.
There is a fee in season, starting March 1.

I enjoy St. Augustine Beach, it has the amenities in a beachside community, but it is maintained and controlled to create a quiet, enjoyable atmosphere. Speed limits are slow, allowing people to safely cross the streets. Do not exceed the speed limits. The beach itself is clean and quite beautiful. 4 wheel drive vehicles may travel on the beach during specific hours, and must adhere to very specific rules. There are many restaurants to choose from, or one may quickly travel to the town of St. Augustine.

We stayed at Best Western St Augustine Beach. We walked to the beach on the beach access in 10 minutes. The beach is nice and clean. The area is nice. The sand is little brown. The water is clear. It was raining when we were there.

We took a few days to visit the beach. this beach had lots of FREE parking, a plus. there is food and areas to change and rinse off sand. good beach to visit

I absolutely love this beach with actual seashells on the shore. We walked it every morning with our coffee to the pier. I could of stayed here. The beach is clean and lots of birds as well.

Most peaceful and beautiful place I’ve seen in a very long time. The beach was spectacular and the water was so clear you could easily lose yourself.

Nice pier to walk, cost is $2 per person all day access. We saw turtles and a few baby sharks. Clean bathrooms and plenty of parking.

We truly enjoyed sitting and watching the waves roll by! There was so much beauty to St. Augustine from the architecture along the shore line to passing boats. Great place for the children to play in the sand! So much fun that we look forward to returning soon!

This beach is amazing....miles of lovely white (ish) sand - so much space for everyone. Every now and again there is a beach bar so you can enjoy a nice meal and drink.

We love St Augustine! And the beach is a plus. Wide beaches that you can drive on, easy to walk and ride bikes on and are dog friendly. Please pick up the poops 💩. Kids of all ages love the beach. Fishing is pretty good also. The sunrises are phenomenal!

It's a great family beach with excellent camping opportunities and easy access to the sea! Not terribly crowded, either.

Incredible small scale white Sandy beach. There is limited 4x4 driving on the beach too. A couple for beachside sandwich shacks and a restaurant on the sand. Laid back atmosphere.

Clean beach, friendly crowd, found parking easily which I’m guessing is not normal. Tons of whole shells and bigger waves than I’m used to.

Went to the beach three days while on vacation. Everyday was in the 90's, but there was a nice breeze on the beach to make it enjoyable. Restrooms and showers were available.

What a beach! Lots of shells, can walk for miles, literally. Easy access. Too bad one of the accesses is still not opened.

This was our first time visiting St. Augustine. We drove from south Florida. The drive on I-95 was almost four hours and was not bad at all. The town is nice but too touristic. Very expensive, too many people and had a very superficial feeling. We expected something completely different. However, we were there only for a day and only visited the historic district. Not impressed.

Beautiful beach days on this soft Sandy beach. Waves were mild and ocean water clean with no seaweed . Surprised to see so many dogs on the beach and no lifeguards. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but the beach was worth it.

The water is great. Can get a bit rough at times. Parking is not good during prime times. Nice wide beach that can accommodate a lot of people.

A nice clean soft sand beach. Amazing for all age group. I travelled with my parents and it was fun. The water and beach was clean.

I love St. Augustine beaches because they offer a quaint and quiet alternative to Jacksonville and Miami. Always nice.

Beautiful, wide open and some shells...cute shops & bars, restaurants close to the beach. Loved Mango Mango restaurant on the corner of the beach road & main drag...took the Old Town Trolley there for free!

The sand dunes are neat. The area isn’t too built up; just right. Historic downtown is a short drive. There is something for beach and history lovers.

My favorite beach!!!! Been 3 times in the past few years. Clean sand, beautiful water! Not crowded, family oriented. No big condo buildings. Would highly recommend going here.

One of the most beautiful beaches you will ever visit. Everytime we visit St Augustine, we need to go walk it's awsome fine white sand and if possible take a dive in its gorgeus waters.

Thought they only allowed cars on the beach at Daytona....guess that’s not true. Interesting to see. Walked the beach...not crowded. Interesting to see but I’m glad we live in SW FL.

Beautiful beach. Very nice facilities. Easy public parking on Monday. Accessible by trolley too. Clean beach. Lots of shells.

Had a great time at the beach, sand was white. Not too crowded, direct access from main road. Water felt great, and was clean

We had to climb and sand dune to get to the beach but after that it was smooth sailing. A really large and wide beach. There was alot of undertow when we were there and the life guards were on the lookout. My husband got swept away once but was able to get back on solid ground. If you like looking for shells, you can do that, too.

Loved taking my morning walk. I found an entrance about half a mile from where we were staying. Lovely hard packed sand, there were a few people riding bicycles. Watch out for the jellyfish that wash up, they are pretty but I think they are man of wars.

What a beautiful beach. Great beach to walk along, check out the sights, people watch, and take a dip in the ocean. Parking is tight but plenty of cool hangouts and public parking-if you have 4 wheel park right on the beach-super cool.

We had fun even if for a short time, since we were on tour. We were advised against it, but we did and we managed to take a swim in the ocean... it is not our sea, but it is worth it ... we had fun ... you can also get there by car , the island is worth visiting

Just drove down the beach for a few min. Met a few Super friendly people before pulling in. Sand was hard enough packed to not have to deflate air.

The pier area has free public parking and fairly spacious restrooms. There’s a splash pad and playground for kids. The pier has low rates for visitors, and corn dogs, peanuts and packaged ice cream treats in the gift shop. The beach is very wide and sandy. There are some awkward steps to get to the beach; not handicap friendly.

Such soft sand. And the beach is a quiet, peaceful getaway. Recommend staying at a hotel and the beach with access. We totally enjoyed this little beach.

The beach was nice for walking and sun bathing.
the sand was ok but not as white as expected, The day we visit was windy and the wave was very strong. So we did not get in the water.

Spent some time watching the waves and listening to the surf and although relaxing, the beach and sand were not as nice as others we have visited along the Florida coast.

Very beautiful easily accessible beach. Uncrowded and tons of area to walk on. Easy to paddle in the water as there is no steep drop off. Refreshing on-shore winds cool you down on a warm day.

we went looking for Texas Roadhouse advertised address isSt Augustine Beach
We found that in fact it is not anywhere near the beach. It’s off State Road 16 near Interstate I 95 It is located near a large ford dealership and A motorcycle dealership on a road which runs to the right of McDonalds. where several motels are located. There is no beach there, only multiple retention ponds for the businesses located in that area.

We spent 3 days here. Very crowded and touristy. Many tourist traps and congestion. The tour of the Fountain of Youth was the best site because of Ponce de Leon and the earlier Spanish conquistadors. The distillery tour was also interesting but the prices were outlandish.

We were able to drive car on beach and sand is not powdery like siesta key. The Atlantic Ocean doesn’t compare with the Gulf

the water was beautiful and blue 6/29/23. We then ate at Beachcomber right on the beach. Good food. Good beer. Good service.

We live in Florida and while the beach in St. Augustine by the pier was nice it was nothing special.

Gorgeous, pristine beaches! Lots of places to park or drive onto the beach and we didn't experience too many crowds. The surf was much calmer than we were used to as well - as travelers from Maryland, we're used to pretty choppy conditions on the Maryland and Delaware shores and this was a pleasant change.

Wonderful beach. The sand is bright white and fine. The beach itself is huge. Lots of room between the shore and water. You can even drive your vehicle on the beach. Must have 4x4.

The prettiest sunrise I’ve ever seen. Different every morning. Take a chair and a cup of coffee and enjoy. Or get your walking shoes on.
Dog friendly. I don’t have a dog but if I did, I would vacation here.
Surfers love the waves early in the morning about 7:00 am and starting again at 5:30 pm. We love watching them in the after dinner.
Butt friendly. If you love wearing a thong, this is the place for you.
This is My happy place. So peaceful and quiet. If you’re looking for relaxation, you’ve come to the right place.

Nice, clean beach which is great for extended walks. Visit early to see the sunrise over the ocean ... Breathtaking !!!

The beach is clean, not a lot of whole shells. I've been here multiple times. Soft sand. Vehicles allowed to drive on upper beach area.

Multiple access points from side streets, lots of small free public parking lots - hard to find a spot during peak hours, tho!

My wife and I are locals and we go to the beach near the pier at least once a week.Lots of tourists and locals alike go here. People are very respectful about social, distancing and it is a relaxing and peaceful place to enjoy the atmosphere of the beach with not a bunch of noisy teenagers and commotion.

What can I say? Its a sandy beach on the Atlantic ocean. Since our hotel was directly on the beach we did not experience a problem many will have, parking. Getting a vehicle close to the beach can be quite challenging.

The beach was not what we were hoping for. We are just probably used to the beaches on the Gulf, where there are fewer people at larger beaches and plenty of parking and restrooms. The sand was nice and clean and the beach was quiet. They definitely NEED way more parking and restrooms.

This was a wonderful visit! Other than a little trash here and there, the sand and water were pristine. The beach was not crowded and we were able to keep a nice distance from other beach goers. There was a wonderful sea breeze and the water was pleasant. We were able to find free parking in a public lot with only a short walk to the beach.

Spent a couple of days in the area visiting friends. St Augustine is where we were married and we love coming back and strolling the old cities narrow streets but on this trip we rode our bike everywhere. The highlight of our visit was our bike ride on St Augustine Beach 13 miles to Marine-land and back on a beautiful sunny Tuesday morning. The beach is clean, the sand perfect for our bikes. We first rode to the St Augustine Lighthouse then down to the pier and finally ending up at Marine-land. After lunch we rode back to our free parking spot near the lighthouse then off to our hotel for a swim. Don’t drive by this area on I-95 and ignore this beach, you won’t regret a moment.

This was our first visit to Salt Life and won't be my last. Upon entering the restaurant we were warmly greeted by the young ladies behind the counter and were promptly seated. Our server, Carley welcomed us, was very friendly and efficient. Our meals were brought in a reasonable amount of time and the food was very good. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Salt Life and I know when in the area again we will go back. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

The beach was beautiful and the many restaurants in the area were all fantastic!! We had a great time being only minutes from downtown St Augustine.

Visiting with grandkids so had to stop and put toes in sand while putting feet in ocean. Cloudy day, water chilly, but still enjoyed very much. They found some shells to bring home.

Wish there was more parking available, but the beach is nice and the pier is fun to walk out on. Our family had a blast.

This is close to Vilano Beach. This is much busier and more crowded. The walks on the beach are very relaxing though. The drawback is they had construction on the beach when we were there.

We were visiting St Augustine for 4 days on our planned road trip. Went to the beach on our first day, really excellent beach, able to drive on. Water was superb haven't felt warm water like that for a long time. Would love to have stayed longer but an approaching storm cut our visit short, but an excellent beach and hardly crowded would love to visit again.

lots of flat packed sand to walk on in low tide; very clean beach; great for dogs, kids, bikes, walking, etc.

Clean and very family friendly. I loved that it was located near some pretty good restaurants. The dunes made good seating to enjoy the night.

golden sand, not the white sand on the gulf of course. shells everywhere. had to walk on the sand due to all the shells on it. nice and clean beach

The beach is nice and close to the water. The area we went had a very course 2 toned sand. Not like the powdery white sandy beaches we have been to. Still can’t beat the weather.

We went to the pier around 5pm and it was nice. Quite a few people fishing but definitely enough room to socially distance. It’s $2 per person to walk on the bridge. Beautiful views. We did walk on the beach and it was absolutely lovely!! Beautiful sand and overall very empty at that time of day.

Huge beach to walk, ride a bike, take dog for a run... too cool the day we went to swim. Must be great I the summer.

A very nice beach, with tons of space and beautiful pink sand. No too crowded and public parking with bathrooms everywhere.

Beautiful beach. We swam close to the St. John’s county pier. There was a lifeguard on duty. The public restrooms and showers were clean and in good working order. The beach was clean. Soft white sand and clear water. We didn’t see any sea weed or debris.

Visit the pier then walk the beach, watch the waves breaking and search for sea treasures ! A great afternoon!

My wife and I had the pleasure to visit the beach. You have the option to drive with 2 or 4 wheel drive. Swim, walk, drive, whatever your heart desires.

My family and i love the Beach and St.Augustine Beach is wonderful place not only do i love it but it is a town not and Island so there it is.

The beach here is quite coarse with a lot of shells. There are much nicer beaches 3-4 miles south that are free. The nature trail Ancient Sand Dunes in the campground area was worthwhile.

Well-maintained, this beach was beautiful. It gets busy and crowded quick, so go early if you are driving. Bring your chairs, towels, and shade...you will not want to leave and none of those items are available. It is public, but there is plenty of sand and ocean for all!
Again, parking is at a premium. Go early. We parked near St John's County Pier, enjoyed the beach, then ate at Salt Life. It was a perfect day.

We drove over and parked for free in the St Augustine Beach parking lot. The beach access was easy. There were public restrooms nearby and were very clean. A splash pad and play ground for kids was also free. There were plenty of restaurants to walk to. We paid a small fee and enjoyed walking and watching people from the county pier.

Even though it was a cold day, just had to go to the beach. Absolutely beautiful and would go again for sure.

Loved the beach and the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Great place for kids because of the shallow waters

Top rated beach with 1400 acres of trails. You will pick up shells and get to see great birds and seaside acreage in a top nationally rated park.

The beach is a nice wide one; in fact there were cars riding down on the packed sand. It's not like the gulf where you drop down immediately.

One of the most beautiful beach areas in Northeast Florida. Soft cool white sandy beaches. Not overly crowded.

We parked near the pier. The parking was free. The beach is quite deep. You have to walk up and down a few sets of stairs to reach the sand.

Spent 3 days. This beach has lots to do, but it wasn't overly commercialized with vendors. Had the sense of it being like a "small town beach." Stores are just 1 block off of the beach. We will go back.

Love the beach and people were staying 6 feet apart on the beach. The girls loved the ocean because it was clean and not to crowded.

At.Augustine Beach is absolutely pristine. Wide open beach with wonderful sand and stretches for miles. Recommended.

Awesome beach with tides high enough for surfing. There is a lane for 4-wheel drive vehicles. You can get chairs & umbrellas from Barney’s. Just call early enough.

Lovely, clean, quiet beach when we went in June. The water was still warm. I don't recommend it if you are going for shells- there are very few, mostly small and broken. But it's a beautiful beach.

We stayed on the beach at a bed and breakfast. A very short walk over the dunes (which are growing in width and height due to conservation efforts). There is a driving lane for vehicles (you need four-wheel drive), which for us is a huge distraction from the natural beauty. The ruts are unsightly - not to mention parked vehicles. However, this does give greater access for more people to enjoy the beach. So if you want to drive out onto the beach - this area is for you. Do check the tides. High tide (near the time of a full moon) puts most of the beach - right up to the driving lane under water.

I think that it is one of the best beaches in Florida . I was sorry that I couldn’t spend more time ther.

The beach was lovely just busy and it was confusing finding the entry point. Initially it was really rocky and not much beach but if you walk south a ways there is nice sand

That is a nice beach but now that awesome. It's not easy to walk: if your house or hotel is not very close to the beach it will not be easy to walk to the beach

This beach is beautiful! We were here in the middle of the summer and it never felt overly crowded. The water was the perfect temperature and with the sandbar we were able to go out pretty far. The waves were perfect for riding though there was a strong current. It was pretty rough for smaller children. They seemed content in the shallows, though. Even puppy dogs enjoyed their time. Overall a great family beach!

lots of sand and sun. loved the driving on the beach first time my wife had done that. Had a picnic lunch there and had our car right there so cool

Beach is beautiful, clean, and not loaded with people (although it is winter). Sand is white and soft, not full of coquina shell like many other beaches. Has been beautiful for years and continues to be a superior to lots of other Florida beaches.

We took our graduated senior on a short graduation trip. We planned two precious trips that were cancelled because of covid. We took precautions, wore masks, and social distanced. This was by far one of the best vacations we’ve ever had. The beach was gorgeous, uncrowded and family friendly. The water was beautiful. We stayed at Island South Condo #10 thru Sunshine realty. Fantastic condo. Top notch. Spotless and updated. Best stocked kitchen I’ve ever seen in a vacation rental. Ocean front views were outstanding. We will be back.

A great beach to visit ...as stated clean and fresh. You can drive on the beach ... but why not just tak a good long walk...the environment invites you to take a walk ...as long as the eye can see ...if not for mist

The sand has a wonderful golden granular feel to it, and the protected sand dunes give it an ‘Outer Banks’ characteristic aura. Plenty of public access along A1A, you’ll find the hard pack sand easy to walk on - in fact, there’s a section where cars are allowed to drive on the sand.

Enjoyed walking the beach during our January visit. Wide beach and you can drive on some of it which makes it nice to park and walk. Our golden retriever enjoyed walking the beach and chasing the sandpipers!

Very wide beach, with many access points across the dunes. It wasn't crowded at all. I saw people driving on it, but not sure where they drove to get on.

Beach is clean. Good atmosphere. No smokers. IF people are drinking, they are not being so bold about it and they are not overdoing it. The groups are pleasant and respectful.

In town over the 4th of July weekend. Spent several days on the beach and a couple of days in town enjoying the sights. Though there was rain, we still managed to see the sights, have a nice time, eat good food. Love the laid-back atmosphere and the serenity of this city.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites with guest access to the beach. St. Augustine is a clean, family and dog friendly beach. Although it wasn’t crowded, there was a steady flow of active people walking their dogs, going for a run, walk, or bike ride on the sand. The cool, clear water on my feet was refreshing. I would visit again.

We rented a home via VRBO just 1/2 block from Butler Beach and the beach was clean, safe and sand felt like baby powder on our feet. We loved the privacy over by Butler Beach and will return soon.

The beach is beautiful! It was too cold to actually swim but considering Hurricane Ian had blown through with some high winds a few weeks prior it looked great. No debris and the views are gorgeous!!

We don't like crowds and there were no crowds. Just a lovely beach with wide sands and beautiful waves. Very unspoiled ... thank God.

I've been on beaches all over the US and the beaches at St. Augustine are more than impressive - clean, plenty of parking, some areas are driveable, and highly impressed with being dog friendly.

My visit to St. Augustine Beach was fantastic. A hidden gem that is reminiscent of old Florida. Great food too!

St. Augustine Beach is simple, spacious, and just what you want when you’re looking for a no-fuss beach day. The sand is soft and light, and the water is usually clear with a nice breeze coming in.
It wasn’t too overcrowded when I went, and there plenty of space to set up without being too close to others. The public bathrooms and showers are clean, and there are several access points that make getting to the beach easy.
Parking can be a bit limited during peak times, so it’s best to arrive earlier in the day if you can. The beach is also close to restaurants, ice cream spots, and small shops, which makes it easy to grab a bite or walk around after.
If you’re looking for a relaxed and clean beach in Florida, St. Augustine Beach is a solid choice. Especially if you plan to visit St. Augustine for the history, the beach is a wonderful addition!

We rented a condo with beach access and walked the beach everyday. We found it to be clean and not crowded.

Beautiful, with constant surf. The water looks clean and so does the sand. Some small dunes add interest too. Great for a quick stop or several hours chillin' out.

The beach is a great place to be away from it all and think about things that are distracting you from moving on in life. Listening to the waves and not to the phone or the traffic is good therapy. It’s refreshing.

Friendly people, great pier, pet friendly beaches. We walked by to the pier along the road with our dogs. Man, was it dangerous. Even on the sidewalk. Too bad there's not more green spaces. Some between the road and the sidewalk. Cars drive like nuts!

The beautiful and relaxing ocean! The beach is always clean. And the local police drove down the beach about every hour for security, which I liked.

Beautiful beach. We stayed at one of the hotels on the beach. This not like a regular beach town where you can walk to a plethora of restaurants and shopping. There are a few restaurants within walking distance though. My advice is to stay in the historic section of Saint Augustine then book the Old Trolley Beach shuttle to visit the beach.

Love me some of that Atlantic beach water. Very clean and not crowded at the North Beach. Chairs and unbrella's available at resorts.

Just an awesome place to visit and relax with friends and family on your next vacation this is a must go place.

This beach is same as Hilton head. The waves and tides are similar. Water was cold in March as usual. The surprising thing was the whole intact seashells. So of looking for seashells this is the place.

Just can't beat a full moon walk@low tide with your sweetheart♡ Check out the pier during the day while you watch the surfers☆

Very nice beach that is shallow. Good place to take the kids and enjoy the waves. This is also a great place to surf. The cool part is you can also drive your truck on the beach also. Make sure you get a truck or SUV at the rental.

Big expanse to the sea, trucks park, lots of fun. We parked for free, walked 300 yards on a wood walk through the mangroves to the beach. Hundreds of trucks, orderly in a row near the dunes. well policed and neat clean beach, lots of fishing, too cool to swim but lots of sunshine.

We had a long weekend and spent Saturday at the beach. The waves are much bigger than I am used to in the gulf, but I loved it. Found lots of cool little shells and it isn’t as busy and commercialized as Daytona. Lots of open space to set up and we never felt crowded.

Clean sand, seashells, salty waves...great beach day...parking lot full, but we got a space in late afternoon

Beautiful beach , and you can drive on and park, unload and spend the day. You need to pay for driving onto the beach and the parking fills up quickly on most weekends. Bring your own food and beverages, no where within walking distance on most of the beach to buy food and drinks. No public bathrooms other than portable potty.

Lots of great restaurants to try and a very easy drive from historic area. Plenty of space on the beach and even parking for 4x4s.

It was a good beach day, I never saw parking on the beach was allowed there so after walking a bit we got to an access point and had to cross traffic on the beach. I’m just super lazy and would have paid to park on the beach..... just me. The beach itself was nice enough, people were social distanced and no problems to report. I’d return to that spot but next time it’s with my vehicle
hahahahah

St. Augustine Beach is nice and laid back. It's not over crowded like most beaches. The pier is nice and you can watch people fish.

Really nice beach walk along the shoreline at low tide. Easy to walk and quite flat. Easy access from many points along A1A. Watched a surfing competition which was lots of fun and was great entertainment.

The beach was peaceful and clean. Relaxing and calming environment. Mainly and older crowd with their dogs and grandchildren. The waves were good for surfing.

Beach access points are in really bad shape. Available parking spots for a public use beach is very inadequate. The walk ways and stairs are unsafe in some areas, erosion has apparently done considerable damage not yet corrected. Walking on it is OK but certainly not as expected.

It was so good! we loved the sunset the most! We also loved the ocean it was so pretty at aroud 6:00

Great beach with white soft sand! The kids practiced their karate moves and I walked along in the waves. It was so peaceful!! We will visit this beach again.

Loved being on the beach there. Great location if visiting St Augustine. Reminds of Florida coastal area of years ago...more like a small community...not a tourist Mecca. Very peaceful atmosphere.

Excellent plce to welcome the new day.
There are lots of sea shells all over, looks like they got crashed and compressed and that's how the sand come from.

We spend two months each winter in a condominium on this beach. There’s no place else we would rather be! It’s further north, so not as hot, but also not as crowded. Super wide and long, it’s great for lengthy walks any time of day. Bicycles, cars (in marked off areas), and dogs on a leash are all permitted. Wonderful skyline, since buildings in St. Augustine Beach cannot be higher than three stories.

Visited a friend who has a condo on the beach and was surprised how nice the beach was. Driving on the beach but seems to be controlled. Was humid, which is typical for Florida, but the breeze kept it from getting too hot.

We drove on the A1A from Ormond beach to Saint Augustine. It’s a beautiful ride. It took us about an hour and a half, stopping at various places.

We had never been to St Augustine so decided to pay a visit. It's not as touristy as say Miami or Panama City Beaches. I was a bit surprised at the lack of late night food options available. The beach was clean and it's pretty wide...but the tide comes WAY back. The sand has almost a pink tint to it.

A great beach city with enough variety to be entertaining and not overly commercialized. Great seafood options. If you rent a boat, go left.

Beautiful beach, nice bathrooms, fun kids play area, appreciated the outdoor showers to rinse off. Easy parking.

We walked the beach in February, which is not the best time to enjoy the beach. However, we had a very enjoyable time going for a walk. So, if you are in area, take time to enjoy. Sun, sand and water is a pretty combo. Enjoy!!!

I am still partial to the fine, white sandy beaches of FL and AL. The water is pretty, but the beach leaves a little to be desired, in my opinion. St. Augustine is a beautiful old city and has so much to offer. It is just not where I would recognize if you are looking for a beach vacation. So many other interesting things to do there, besides the beach.

The beach was nice but didn't appreciate several up and down stairs to traverse with beach gear in tow. Also, the Pier is NOT FEE to walk on, which is ABSURD! I only wanted to talk a short walk on it and get off and I wasn't going to pay to do this. Not sure how much it is because I didn't bother inquiring at such ridiculousness of have to pay a ser charge for walking on a pier.

Beautiful beach and not over crowded. My husband and I really enjoyed our time here. The beach is beautiful and clean. The area we were at was not over crowded. I have never seen a beach with so many intact seashells. We found so many beautiful ones. If your looking for a beautiful, quiet not over crowded beach location this should fit the bill. We will definitely be back.

Clean beach, shallow very far out, no life guards, no beach rentals. Nice surf, even a few surfers. Not crowded, easy access but must go over dunes.

We swam here 2 days while we were in Saint Augustine. We enjoyed the beach. It was $2 each to walk on the pier so we decided not to do that.
FREE parking was very nice. Bathrooms were clean great beach

Lovely sand and waves! The water was so warm (in the shallows) Good access and free parking all along.

Soft white sand, the ocean looks and smells lovely, and there are areas where you can drive you car to the spot of your choice instead of having to lug all your gear from a public parking lot a quarter mile away.

Great waves crashing on the beach and rocks. It was a nice, sunny day. Very short walk to beach from where we parked.

Drove to St Augustine during our trip to Ormond Beach, What a beautiful little area. Loved the quaint beach areas pulled off and took pictures. Will def be visiting again.

It was a windy day when I went here last year (June 2021), but overall it was okay. the water was wonderful to get in, but I literally had a tan and burn all over my body lol. I put family teens, but my special needs sister and I (also special needs were 21)

Nice beach. Lots of broken shells though. Kids complained of getting cuts from being in water. Decent for being the Atlantic Ocean. Big beach so plenty of room

Was at the Vilano Beach instead. It was a very clean and less crowded. All the beaches in St Augustine is worth going to.

Since the beach is part of a park, entry fee was minimal. Lots of parking and facilities nearby.
Short downpour, but then right back at it!
Great way to spend the day!

we walked on the pier and watched the ocean, saw the lighthouse and saw people surfing it was beautiful could of just watched the waves all day!!

The beach has smooth, firm sand, with no junk or rocks under your feet. The water is warm, a pleasant contrast to where I live at this time of year. Also, the beach was never overcrowded.

I had seen everyone’s pics and thought the water would be a lot prettier and the sand but that’s not the case the sand is not the white pretty sand the water is not that pretty green blue . You can’t walk in the beach at night cause the water comes all the way up to the stairs and concert barrier . It had red flags we where they the whole
Time tons of seas foam . The water is so rough .

Beautiful Beach, not overdeveloped! We visited the part of the beach that you can not drive on and loved hiking over the dunes to see the water. We will be back!

This beach is soooo big! WE loved it night and day! Not crowded at all when we were there! The night walk was a bit eery yet cool too!

Very pleasant and clean. It also appears to be very dog friendly as everywhere we went on this beach, we saw dogs having a blast playing in the water and on the sand.

Great beach with soft sand, wide strand, and soft sea bottom. Never too crowded, with a mix of surfers and bathers. Lifeguards present.

We love this beach. Not crowded. Clean. Dogs allowed. Locals are mostly friendly. Lots of history around. Great food places. Love it.

The beach has a nice walkway to it so people will stay off the dunes. We walked about 3/4 mile and back and the beach was very clean and not crowded. Very nice beach. Restrooms available at the parking area, and a shower pad to rinse the sand off at the end of the walkway.

We always enjoy the beaches in Florida and Saint Augustine’s ditch is the same. Will definitely enjoy those beaches again.

Clean and very flat. Lots of entry points to enter the beach and you can drive on the beach which was really cool and fun! Great beach

This is the best beach ever! I always feel right at home whenever I visit St. Augustine. This is honestly heaven on earth.

WE WERE ABLE TO SOCIAL DISTANCE . what can I say. probably one of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast

St. Augustine Beach is a typical Florida beach, clean with proper restrooms. They are sections of the beach where you can drive on the beach if you have a 4 wheel drive. Great place. Jolly Chriss.

St Augustine Beach is family friendly, pet friendly, clean and relaxing. If you have small children, be aware vehicles drive on the beach. Otherwise, it's beautiful

the beach is rocky verses sandy and in the winter there are quite a few jellyfish. But the water feels so good in your feet and it’s a nice relaxing walk.

Went up and down the beach the sea wall in place built by slaves still stands today but when hurricane Mathew came through proved to be no match even though it had a 2nd wall 3ft higher in front of it buildings had a lot of water damage

My wife and I recently stayed a couple of nights on the beach in St Augustine. Our hotel was right on the beach and it was really a great experience. The beach is excellent and it wasn’t crowded. We walked out on the fishing pier, which offers great views of the beach area. This is a really nice beach.

Beautiful weather, location … lots to do, breweries, restaurants, shops and the historical center worth visiting. Would go again. Highly recommend.

We got a room on St. Augustine Beach across the street with a very short walk to beach. We loved this beach. Clean and not crowded at all. Water was fun with small waves. Would go again

Beautiful beach, we stayed at the embassy suite resort. We had a wonderful time here at the beach. I’ve cream shops, restaurants, and other hotel on and near the beach.

We went on July 4th I don't know and found a parking spot right in front on the public access side. Not sure if our good fortune was due to the time of day 4pm or because of the holiday but I will take it. Clean beach with easy parking win win....I will take it.

14 miles of sand indeed: loved walking through the sand dunes and sitting by the shoreline. Steps away from restaurants along Block A.

Beautiful beaches and so much to do … love going for walks
Alligator Farm is a must see!!
Had a wonderful VRBO

This is a late review … we were here Thanksgiving week 2023. This beach was two blocks from our hotel, so the location was convenient. We got lucky that we got one good beach day in, since it wasn’t really beach weather. The beach was nice and clean and it was dog friendly so that was a bonus. I would definitely visit this beach if in the area again!

We were there after my mother’s memorial service to get away and relax. While it was colder than your average beach trip it was a great quiet time to relax. Planning on returning next year at the same time as well.

We have been to St Augustine beach many times, its a great place to ride a bike or walk. You can even drive on parts of the beach. We live on the west coast of Florida so the beaches are very different on the east coast. But we enjoy the beach very much.

We stayed at this beach for a week and loved every day here. It is uncrowded and has a wide sand beach (once you walk across the dune).

This beach was absolutely awesome! The ocean was so beautiful this day! I enjoyed the fresh crisp breeze and the sounds ! I wished I had more time there!

Such a beautiful City, pier for fishing, beach for playing. Free parking. Restrooms . Shops and Food all within a few blocks walk or drive in needed.

Awesome waves when we visited. A bit cold, but expected this time of year (Nov). Clean beach, patrolled and safe. Great for families and a playful afternoon!

We loved St. Augustine. It was amazing to learn about all the History associated with this town. There’s lots of shopping and choices of food and drink. The Beach is beautiful and people are very friendly.

Beautiful beach . Perfect for small kids. Clear water. Not crowded at all. We will definitely be back.

Visited the month of February. Beach is great to walk on because it’s flat and wide. Not the most beautiful beach I’ve seen, but we enjoyed it because it is so walkable and not crowded. Very family friendly and laid back atmosphere. We had all types of weather in February from sunny and 80, to cool 50’s and windy, to rainy but enjoyed our time there.

Amazing beach, ate at Cafe Eleven first and walked over. If you want to be alone with the beach and your thoughts, this is the place. No busy boardwalk and noise.

St. Augustine Beach is lovely. The beach is beautiful and in good, clean shape. There are people but it is not over-crowded. There are good restaurants and shops. The beach area is much nicer than the Old City, which has become tacky and honky-tonk.

What a beautiful beach!!! It has a long, wide sandy area. Waves were great. The beach was spotlessly clean. Lifeguards were out on the beach by around 11:30 am. Founds some nice small shells and small shark teeth. Peaceful and relaxing!!

We were staying right on the beach and it is lovely. The waves were pretty high so no one swimming but alot of surfers out. No life guards here. The sand is not soft it is more crushed shells so swim shoes would be good idea if coming here. Lots of shells washed on shore and in good condition if you are into collecting them.

I( love the beach and all of God's creations! This could be nice, the place just is not maintained at all. Very dumpy looking. The public bathrooms are nasty here , people smoke and bring dogs, although the signs say they are not allowed, people do not respect the rules and the county, police, and law do not enforce their rules here. They should look at how beaches are maintained in the southern counties, IR, Martin, and Palm Beach have the best beaches and so well maintained compared to St. Augustine beaches.

We have been to Seacrest, Panama City, Gulf Shores, and Hernando Beach/County areaa, and St. Augustine may be my new favorite. The sand is coarser, but the kids found lots of small shells and a shark tooth. The lack of high rises makes the area much more relaxing and family friendly than so many other beachfront communities. The beach is not crowded, and the quaint old city atmosphere is filled with history and charm. We only had 2 nights, 1 full day, an evening, and a morning to stay in the area. The weather was cool, but the beach was still beautiful and enjoyable. The gulls were not as obnoxious as some, the surf was fun for my boys, who didn't mind getting wet in spite of the mid 60s minus windchill. The walk up toward the pier and state park was very enjoyable, and we saw very little trash on the beach. Condos, homes, and hotels are spaced apart so you can enjoy the dunes and the beach.

A place where the sun and the sand make you swoon.
The surf’s always playful, the sunsets divine,
A seaside retreat where the stars always shine.
The sand’s like a pillow beneath your bare feet,
Warm and inviting, it’s truly a treat.
Build castles or relax as the sea breezes blow,
There’s magic in every tide, don’t you know?
With every wave’s whisper and seagull’s call,
You’ll find a paradise that enchants one and all.
So grab your sunblock and head to this shore,
For fun and relaxation, you couldn’t ask for more.
St. Augustine Beach, oh what a sight,
A gem of a getaway from morning till night.
So come on down, let your worries drift,
In this coastal wonder where spirits uplift!

Wow-what's not to like about the St. Augustine beach. Not only is it a very wide beach, you can drive a 4X4 on it and it isn't crowded - at least not yet!

A beautiful beach that is family friendly, not overcrowded and the sand is soft and easy to walk on, beautiful shells

Beautiful beach and exceptionally clean. You can park your car on the beach. Strong undertow when we were there but stunning.

Beautiful and free beach. Not extremely crowded either. Only bogus thing is having to pay to go on pier.

Nice beach. You can even ride your bike on it. Located a short drive from historic St. Augustine. You can drive on this beach. There is a fee but it makes it very easy to get around. Pay attention to the entrances that say 4 x 4 only. We did see people get stuck and need a tow.

We enjoyed walking on the firm packed sand and swimming in the cool water (we are from the Gulf Coast of Fl were the water is like a Sauna) We watched the surfers and did some body surfing ourselves, a great morning at the beach!

very crowded on the Saturday we went. Beach is wide and easy to walk on. Can't believe the cars that were parked on the top of the beach near the dunes--lined up for over one mile. fair amount of restaurants on the main street just off the beach

Beautiful beach. Right now they are doing some construction to make the beach better by the pier. So yes, there’s some construction noise. Don’t let that bother you or make false claims on here. There’s miles of this beach that have beautiful scenery!!

The beach is beautiful and very natural. We enjoyed a nice walk along the coast of Anastasia State Park.

The St. Augustine beaches were very nice except for dogs being allowed on the beach. I love animals. However, I don't appreciate them roaming the sand and going into the water. Some owners had their dogs leashed and others did not. I didn't notice any owners carrying plastic to scoop the poop. Otherwise, the Atlantic Ocean was fun. I gave a poor rating due to the dog situation. Had it not been for the dogs, I would have rated the beaches excellent.

Visited mid September, Extremely clean and quiet, easy to find parking. A nice little walk over the dunes added to the beauty of the area!

We really loved St. Augustine (Old City) but quickly found out, unless you're good at saying no every 5 seconds to aggressive homeless people, you'll have a lousy time. You don;t have that problem at St. Auggy Beach. This is our new go to.

I have family in the area and we really enjoy St. Augustine Beach. It's really cool to drive on the beach.

15 years living in st augustine beach, from ft pierce florida.
Florida was best left alone, and the more a decent place grows, the worst it gets. Unconstrained growth has turned a mellow place into a tourist destination, with all of its troubles.

We visited and actually drove onto and parked on the lower end of St. Augustine Beach. Very wide open space and soft, well packed sand. No sudden drop offs in the water.

Loved the big wide beach! Great walking and friendly folks! Dog friendly and beautiful views! Very clean and you could also drive on it if you wanted. I also saw police presence patrolling which was comforting.

Nice beach to visit but respect sand dunes and use caution entering beach area. Family friendly. Good place for children to dig in the white sand and wade.
Beautiful beach, easy to get to! Parking was a battle but we were lucky and got a spot in the parking lot!
