It was my second time visiting Stanford University, this time with my husband and my old friend. The campus is like a little town, so be prepared to walk pretty long distances.
The Auguste Rodin’s sculpture garden is certainly a highlight - many familiar sculptures, all of them so powerful… Too bad the Cantor Arts Center was closed…
Stanford University church is another highlight - loved the stained glass windows and imposing architecture.
We didn’t climb the Hoover Tower (was closed) but admired the view of it…though it didn’t impress me from the architectural point of view.
The real highlight was the students of Stanford. I can only imagine how hard it was to get into one of the most famous universities in the world and they did it. They are our future.

I visited Stanford University a number of times this week. One day I spent visiting the very good art galleries and Rodin statue area on Campus. Today my husband and I went to the Big Game which is between Stanford University and Cal Berkeley.
We are Cal Alums and were happy to see Cal Bears win the Ax and beat Stanford 24 to 20. The Stanford Stadium is nice. Parking was ok getting to the game; leaving we just waited out the crawl out of the parking area.
I have explored much of Stanford Campus, so it was fun to be able to spend time on this leading University.

Though I'm a proud and loyal UCLA Bruin, I came to Stanford for a short course via their School of Business! I must say the campus is beautiful, the staff and faculty I've met are amazing and so while I will still cheer for my Bruins (esp in football and baseball), I will maintain a soft spot for Stanford henceforth!

I traveld to Palo Alto last year. I've decided to do it because I'm intersted in studying there. For 2 days I've visited Stanford. On the first day, I stayed there to know informations about the course. On the second day, to walk and promenade. It's a very beautyful place. Not only a place with buildings to study. Much more than this. Like a farm, there is a lot of green and palms. We can smell the rosemary. There is Rodin's sculptures. Herbert Hoover, 31st american president, have studied and lived there. A tower (Hoover's Tower) was built in his honor. At the top of this tower, we can see a San Francisco Bay. Moreover, the University is prepared to receive visitors (there are a fire truck with a chief firefighter and a police car with the sheriff.)

The facilities were gorgeous. The workshop was well-organized. The breakfast/lunch service was outstanding. The presenters were knowledgable and did an amazing job!
The campus was beautiful and clean. I can't wait to return for a longer visit.

Come here several times, everytime I get the different experience and new insight. It is a beautiful and severe campus if you are lucky to meet few tourists. In the autumn and spring season, you can even lie down in the grass to have some easy chats with family or friends.
All the buildings and design are elegant and spectacular. You can experience the college life again when walking in the campus, and just relax with a cup of coffee and some snacks.
Do not talk even just sit there, you will feel so happy that you are in Stanford Univ.

Gorgeous grounds with Rodin sculptures, magnificent church with one of the largest pipe organs. Walk the grounds, but be aware it is a massive complex.
Make sure
Could easily spend hours there

There are so many great things to see on Stanford's campus, but do not miss the view from the top of the Hoover Tower, the Papua New Guinea Sculpture Garden and "Stone River" by Andy Goldsworthy.

A huge campus kept impeccably groomed. The original buildings and the architecture take you back to the time when Herbert Hoover attended. Beautiful grounds.

We have grown up coming to Palo Alto every year and we always go to Stanford because the grounds of the university are gorgeous and a great place not just for students.

This campus is just beautiful. I came for a class and quickly made time to walk the grounds. Just beautiful. The museum/art is also worth a visit.

It really is a beutiful campus and a nice place to visit if you are visiting San Francisco.
About an hour away depending on traffic

The campus itself is worth a visit with the "Palm Drive" with the church at one end, a must see. Plenty of shady places, like the arboretum, for a quiet and pensive stroll or even a picnic. Quite a few coffee shops, including he nearby Stanford Shopping Center as well as the Student Union. At one end of the campus (towards I-280, or away from the dreaded 101), there is also a pleasant hike up the dish hill to people who enjoy that sort of thing.

Having spent time on the respective campuses of Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and UPenn, I was overwhelmed after visiting Stanford. The areas inclusive of the campus are absolutely vast and beautiful. Goregeous facilities and a great sense of authentic community embodied my experience. Cactus garden and the "Angel of grief" statue emotionally moving.

Been to many university campuses... this is by far the best in terms of environment, history.. assumebly they are the best in education quality

What can you say about the University campus while not being a student? Organised, green , even local bus driver will be very friendly at 7.30 in morning and explain to you that the bus is free and green as electric vehicle. Parks in abundance where you can read book bought in local bookstore. Bookstore offers tons of memorabilia and has special section of Stanford authors. Recent leadership experiences book by Prof. Hennessy is among them. Tons of activities outside, not only sports but also student gathering events (project presentations, idea pitching) organised on meeting place next to bookstore. Architecture is oldish, classical,... Visit and compare to your local university to get the feeling of tops of the tops.

One of the most important and impressive universities in the world - be sure to visit when in the Bay Area. Apart from the history you feel here and from the vast size of the campus it's probably one of the most beautiful places where you can study!

Highly recommend attending this conference in 2019 of you’re a NFP leader. Attended with 10 other NFP CEOs from Australia and the Perpetual team through a partnership with Stanford PACs. Great minds championing social change through science and creative design.

My son is a PhD candidate at Stanford. This was a wonderful opportunity for us to drive around and explore their beautiful campus. It is exceptionally lovely and worth the visit, even if you are not associated with the University. The history, flora and fauna are amazing. Its quintessential California.

I have been here so many times and never really seen all. This is a mission impossible. The campus is so vast. I don't think it been every corner even by car. Beautiful lawns, buildings and world class stadium.. The list is endless. Highly recommended.

Obviously being one of the top universities in the world one would expect a fabulous academic environment. It is that and what's more there is an incredible (outdoor) garden filled with Rodin sculptures. There's more here than in the Rodin Museum in Paris. Unbelievable.

The campus is simply breathtaking show casing magnificent architecture. The quad with its Memorial Church is the main attraction together with the Cantor Center. Other highlights are the Rodin Sculpture garden and the Hoover tower. But the gem of this place is of course the students and the magnificent faculty.

The campus was huge and nicer than the others we had been to. We parked near the visitor center and the guys inside showed us a great tour that went through all the main attractions (Hoover Tower, Main Quad). Make sure to go up the Hoover Tower for some great views!

I hope you’re going to study:) but it’s a great university to tour as well. There aren’t many places to satisfy your cravings like food or coffee. You can head to the nearby Stanford Shopping Center.I recommend a visit to the Memorial Church. You can stop by Bookstor too.

Due to the large size of the campus, I recommend starting with a trip up Hoover Tower to get a view of the entire campus. Then walk through the main quad and target the departments that are of particular interest to future students. Do not forget to look at the athletic facilities even if you are just a weekend athlete. Even the recreational pool, golf, softball, beach volleyball courts, rock climbing walls, gyms, squash and tennis courts are beautiful. Attend a free sporting even to get a feel for the study body - we attended a free men's waterpolo game!

The university is very beautiful. It has guided tours, visits to monuments and museums and souvenir shops. Parking for visitors is very far away.

Stanford University campus is architecturally striking and represents a mixture of styles, based on a central theme of red roofs and tan walls. The main campus entrance is via Palm Drive -- a long straight road lined with palms trees with a view of Memorial Church surrounded by rolling hills at the end. The interior quad is reminiscent of Spanish missions, with its arches, covered walks and use of sandstone; this is one of the main meeting points with quad doors lead to different departments and classrooms. I would recommend taking a shuttle tour as this is a large campus; however, it is also great for walking or one can rent a bike, as weather usually great all during the year. A personal favorite, in younger days, was a great jogging path called the Dish in the direction of the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, which now offers free public tours. Among the campus highlights are the Rodin sculpture garden (much better with a guide), Lake Lagunita, the tennis courts (John McEnroe studied here), Stanford Stadium and the outdoor pool complex. Other universities may try to denigrate the place as being a “country club” but Stanford University campus is unique.

I walked the grounds and this is one beautiful campus. Shuttle service takes to the train which is convenient. The mountain background is very spectacular.

One of the most beautiful campus I've ever visited. Better experience walking or biking rather than driving

Rented bikes and road around the entire campus. Art museums and church were beautiful. Loved the D building, very unique and also the PNG totem garden. The buildings were great, awesome areas to bike and walk around. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

We had delicious Korean food during our visit to Stanford University. It was a pleasant surprise at our beautiful campus in the Bay Area.

carless bunch of people to engage in meaningful dialogues pertaining to graduate admission. I wish I could say something positive, as far as my experience goes.

Wonderful campus, easy and relaxing to walk around. I went up in the Hoover Tower, where you can see the entire campus! It was beautiful and pleasant!

The campus is one of the nicest in the USA. The palm trees and stucco style buildings are heavenly. This time I stayed in the front near Hoover Tower and the Memorial Church. The giant lawn was divine in the warm sun. Can be hard to find parking. It is a long walk if you want to go into downtown Palo Alto.

Amazing university all around from curriculum to athletic programs to size to architecture. Appreciate their loan free efforts.

It dose not matter where you go.. always the service and product are the best! I love the art museum restaurant.

This campus is stunning to walk through with its diverse horticulture, rich history, and grand expanses to stroll. The climate is perfect to take a long walk to take it all in. If you get hot, dip your toes in one of the many fountains. The locals seem to love swimming in them and they’re cleaned everyday.

From the cactus garden to the gates, building and architecture, Stanford is accessible and worth seeing. A drive around from the Quarry street entrance around to Sandhill, you can get the scope of this university, yet maintain safety, distance and privacy of patients and students. Its an active camp[us, even with about 1/4 student body and faculty/staff.

What a beautiful campus. So much to do and see. Plan to take some time and enjoy. Art objects abound and the museum is nice.

We visited Stanford University. The school is very beautiful.
The original plan was before my son's college admission. Due to his busy Senior schedule, we postpone the visit until now.

I visited as part of an Executive Program and then toured the University that has a lot of interwsting things to see.

Big, beautiful, elitist, and enjoyable, this is a nice campus to explore, one that feels more like a small city or a large museum than a university.
Wander the campus by car and foot, visit the museum and church, stop into a library and the bookstore, check out the Rodin sculpture garden, gaze up at and go into the tower, and discover whatever else you will find, but you won't find it all.

Stanford is a unique campus, designed by Olmsted, the same man who designed NYC's Central Park, There is a great deal of open space and the buildings on the main campus are all in the same style, early California Spanish. The Memorial Church is worth seeing by itself. One can see the whole campus from the observation deck of Hoover Tower. Cantor Museum on campus has a garden of Rodin sculptures as well as the golden spike, other Stanford historical items, fine art and an excellent cafe.

Even if you don’t have a child at Stanford, it’s worth a visit! Incredibly stunning campus to walk around. Visit the chapel, the museums and the sports hall of champions.

Since we were in California to celebrate our cousin's 70th birthday, and he's a Stanford alum, we stopped by to walk around campus. As you might expect, we saw the clock (which didn't look like a tower to me) and the Hoover Tower (although I don't like heights so my wife went up). The most frustrating part was parking and navigation. Because we visited on a Saturday, we could park in lots that would normally have been restricted. However, there are few through-streets on campus, and so driving from one place to another (to prevent excessively long walks) was very difficult. And the overall size of the Stanford property made it seem like a small town, not a college campus.

Took 1 week course there. It was just amazng. The campus is so huge. If you take the bike you can make really nice tours in less than 1 hour. To the bay or to the mountains. Both are amazing

Highly recommend to stop by visitor center to take the map before walking around the campus. We went there on Saturday morning and the visitor center was closed (probably due to Thanksgiving weekend). This campus of more than 8,000 acres is among the largest in the U.S.
Hoover tower is worth visiting for only $4/adult and CASH ONLY. It is a perfect place to see the whole campus and SF skyline on clear days. Make sure to check the time as the tower closes at 4pm.

We like to visit campuses across the U.S. on our travels. Stanford did not disappoint. It's nicely treed and has great architecture. Largely a bicycle campus - something to be aware of while walking the area. Athletic venues are all located at the campus perimeter - seems limited for a football event.

Large location , very well maintained buildings and gardens beautiful statutes setting - worth a visit !

Easy parking and valet service for patients. Restaurants are nearby and serve fresh juices and food. True Food was our go-to place to relax and eat delicious food. They also serve a turmeric, ginger, honey tea that is delicious.

Beautiful Stanford University is great place to visit and spend quality family time. Wish it to more affordable.

This is a gorgeous campus. Plenty of visitor parking if you show up early. Make sure you visit the central Quad area. Wear nice walking shoes.

Stanford is one of my favourite US universities.
On my very first visit to the US from Australia, in 1975, I travelled to Palo Alto to look around the Campus, the Cecil H Green Library, the Chapel aka Stanford Memorial Church and the Cantor Arts Centre. It left a deep impression on me and the appeal to revist remains undiminished. The Campus continues to grow with new buildings or plazas.
Not ony does the Universty have a beautiful welcoming campus but it has numerous attractions on the campus of universal appeal. These include the libraries, the Green undergraduate library, the newly built, the GSB Library, the Chemistry Library. The Chapel is an extraordinarily attractive building with stained glass windows and lovely acoustics. The Cantor Arts Centre is another unique attraction for its collection. One of the worlds largest Rodin collection is also held here. A very large number which include “The Gates of Hell with Adam and Eve” are on display outside, 24/7/365.
The Stanford Campus is easily accessible, even for those without a car. Travelling from San Francisco, catch the Caltrain. An express train takes about 40 minutes. Get off at Palo Alto. Free Campus shuttles are available right at the Station. Get on and get off anywhere, anytime. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Plenty of eating places spread around the campus. To fully enjoy the Campus, allow yourself a day but a minimum of half a day is stronly recommended. You will never be disappointed.

We enjoyed our walk around campus. A trip to the bookstore, the student eatery and the usual chapel visit.. Loved seeing people from all over the world.

We didn't have time to tour everything, as the campus is massive, but it is definitely worth the visit.

Perfect landscape with stunning architecture building design.
There are trees providing shed for people who'd like to sit on the grass.
The was cool breeze despite a hot sunny day; must have been the thick foliage surrounding the area.
This gives me an impression that this university is conducive to a positive learning environment.

1000's of acres in the heart of Silicon Valley, Stanford University requires days of walking to get to know. But for the highlights, 3-4 hours will suffice: Memorial Church, Cantor Museum and the Rodin Sculpture Garden, Quadrangle, Hoover Tower. For computer afficionados - the Hewlett Building and Parkard Buildings are adjoining and there are exhibits from the early days of computing and the Internet if you visit the Byte Cafe there, not too far from the Quadrangle. People often overlook the Art Galley and also the Hoover Tower Museum near the fountain outside Mem Hall.

Working at a university in the UK I thought it would be interesting to take one of the free walking tours around this famous university. We enjoyed it very much. We met at the visitor centre at the appointed time and there were so many people that the group had to be split into two (there was about 60 people overall). Our tour was led by a student, Sofia, who was very bright, knowledgeable and gave a great tour. Interestingly she conducted the whole tour, almost an hour, by talking and walking backwards, not once falling over or stumbling! It really was quite fascinating, she covered the student experience, through to pointing out the building where, in the basement, Google started; the history of the University, its alumni and much else besides. We were impressed with the University and Sofia and enjoyed it very much.

Drove onto campus to check out the parking and layout before I cruised in for an evening football game. What an impressive setting with a ton of different buildings and architecture! I couldn't believe how big it was, and how well it blended into the neighboring communities. Think most out-of-town visitors probably drive in from El Camino Real, but I was pretty impressed by the fact that the campus is easily accessed from a number of other highways and arterials in almost every direction. I probably spent about 90 minutes cruising around campus, I was so enamored as well as a bit lost. (I would probably give the place 5 stars but there was quite a bit of road construction and a number of detours, some of which led you into further jeopardy!) Lots of football game parking options for the game that evening and a beautiful stadium.

We took a 1 hour tour and barely scratched the surface of amenities and sites at the campus. Next time in the area I will allot more time. Must sees are the church and the Hoover Tower Observation Platform.

It is extremely beautiful campus with lovely landscaping and iconic buildings. Every once in a while I love spending a couple of hours walking around the Campus.

Entered the Campus in Rain Monday afternoon - made it first to Hoover Tower, but they stop at 4 PM (it was 4:30) - -mn silence with no photographs I enjoyed the feeling and then left for main buildings and then towards Stanford Mall. It looks like an exceptional campus - may be even too large to explore on foot.

Had time to kill on the way to the airport so did the self guided walking tour and the campus is simply stunning! Ate lunch at the Packard cafe and it was really good too.

enjoy spending time in the campus, take away restaurant and the bookstore to grab some Stanford clothes

This is a beautiful campus! I wish I had more than the 1 hour I had to spend there. Rather the 4 years to go to school there (had I the intelligence to get accepted there). So, the best I could do was to visit the campus and take pictures.

Nicest university campus.
Better if you ride around in bike, in a nice weather day.
Take you family, bike rentals there, and you can get a map.

The style of the buildings was a surprise for all of us. We weren't really certain what we expected but it wasn't what we say. They are beautiful. What's not fun about looking around on a college campus.

Stanford Uni is one of the oldest foundations in the town so it's the closest to a historical site the town has in my opinion. The campus is gigantic and because it's a university, it has all the amenities of a town so you can spend a whole day there and find stores and restaurants without having to leave the campus. The school is also great for kids because of the general cleanliness, open fields, and public water attractions (fountains and small pools that people are technically allowed in)

What can I say? It's actually my alma mater, so maybe I'm a bit prejudiced, but the quality of education you'll get at Stanford can't be beat. It's also one of the prettiest campuses on the West Coast. (East Coast campuses consistently beat us for beauty, but Stanford holds up against even East Coast competition.) Also, if you need quality health care, the Stanford hospital system is the only place I'd go if I had any serious medical challenges. Overall, Stanford is just the greatest.

We went on the week end for the free tour at 11:30 ( I believe there is 11:30 and 3pm but double check their website) the guide tour is one of the students that you meet in front of the visitor center. Our guide was chase, very nice and informative guy. The tour lasts 75 minutes.
We loved the architecture and the buildings.

This was an intended destination and a world-famous site to tour. Nice weather, too! Also drove past the Stanford Dish.

Greens, low rise buildings, yellow stone wall, red tops, fountains, palm trees and .... Beautiful sunshine and blue sky. It looks a resort rather than university. Good place to study at.

This is truly a gem, not for the school, for the grounds that the buildings are on.
The Quad is a great place to start walking or biking.
Hoover Tower is a must see, but don't just look at it, actually go up and see the view from the tippy top of it.
Cactus Garden, Lake Lagunita, Frost Amphitheater, Cantor Museum, Anderson Collection, the campus is a treasure and you can inhale the wonderful eucalyptus trees too as you stroll around.

A great place to visit! They have a wonderful Welcome Center! Same day tours make visiting really easy! What a beautiful campus!

this is really what a college campus should look like. they day we were there the sun was shining and the sky just looked more blue above the university. the book store is massive and they have a ton of merchandise. everyone was really friendly (mostly visitors as we were there in the summer) and the facilities are top notch. flowers everywhere and the grounds are maintained very nicely. this is really a top notch college and worth a look around even if you don't know anyone who is attending there

Stanford University is worth a visit even if you aren't a student or researcher. It is marked by wonderful buildings in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Avail yourself of some of the museums and art while here. The trees and grassy areas are lovely venues for an unhurried walk.

This is my fourth visit to Stanford in four years. But this is the first time I truly had time to drive the length and breath of this awesome Campus. It was 2018 Commencement Weekend and the entire Campus was bright and shinning. Lovely experience.

Great place to see, exercise lots of walking
nice places to eat, beautiful campus downtown Palo Alto is also in walking distance Town & Country Center is walking distance and the Stanford Shopping Center is in walking distance so much to do and see! And Cantor Art Center so so much!

This a a very beautiful place. But prepare to walk long distances, as the guest parking is quite far, and the distances are long. But it is worth the trouble.

This place never ceases to amaze me. A great school (but tough to get in) with great education in a great looking campus next to a great CITY! Stanford has it all. Here you can compete with the best of the best, and succeed. The well spread out campus is filled with trees and flowers, and makes this a gardener's delight. The Spanish style buildings with long corridors are fun to walk. The open air Rodin museum is great.

Dating back to 1891, Stanford University has a rich (literally and figuratively) history of academics, medicine, law, sports, architecture, people, and contributions to the community and the world. It is by far the most beautiful campus I've seen.

Haven't studied there but made 1 day tour. It was just impressive. All the faculties... and even a church. It was just great

The Stanford University is just not a university but a brand in the higher education sector in the world. However, besides, its educational quality it can offer its excellent beauty to its visitor. I just loved it :)

Enter by Palm Drive off Embarcadero Road. Feel the vibes of academic tradition. Walk around some historic buildings; then go shopping at the Stanford Shopping Center! Big mall, pleasant environment, has everything!

The university has sort of a celebrity status in the business world. However, there are other aspects of the campus too which are impressive. To start with it is a very large one with open spaces and plenty of greenery. It has an eco friendly look about it. The group of bells atop Hoover tower is amazing. The bells which ring based on the notes played in the piano in the sound proof room below i s believed to be heard over a mile away. The displays in the ground floor of the Hoover centre gives an unexpected piece of history on USA helping USSR! The view around from atop the Hoover tower was truly fantastic.

Ok I didn't think I had any interest in Stanford but my husband wanted to see it. I was totally surprised at how lovely this campus is and enjoyed walking around. Now I wish my kids would go there if it wasn't for the $64 K price tag, haha.

Super entertainment great seats.the musicianship and the ambience of the hall were everything I expected.

Amazing University with a beautiful campus and always continued improvements. Everyone is very helpful and the campus has a lot of pretty areas to walk around.

The Mexican inspired campus is fantastic. Lots of walkways and bikeing opportunities. Copa Cofee is a good place to have a break.

I finally got the chance to visit one of the most famous university in the world. The buildings & architecture are very classic and beautiful. And there are always green areas around the campus which provided a very relaxing environment for students to study and stay the campus! a worthwhile walk at the campus.

There are literally miles of trails and gardens on the campus. There are art installations and historic architecture everywhere. Rodan's Gates of Hell in bronze, memorial buildings, it is like Hogwarts. Biking is easy and encouraged there.

Haven't studied there but visited it for a while. It is breathtaking and impressive. You can make a walk and visit some faculties...

Stanford University's campus is so big that it has its own shopping mall (on the corner of the campus), it has a very large memorial church with an interior that will render you speechless, a bookstore with a cafe on the second floor, and the Cantor Arts Center (Museum of art) with no entrance fee. I highly recommend the museum if you are into art & design, the exhibition is spacious with spectacular works being displayed!
Even if you don't study here, Stanford is a must visit!

Expansive, impressive historic grounds and stately architecture with a long palm-lined approach, the University campus is lovely and exceptional to explore. Don't miss the heart-wrenching sculptures of "The Burghers of Calais" by Auguste Rodin in the Memorial Court. I highly recommend a one hour tour of the beautiful and sacred Stanford Memorial Church to learn intimate details of its history, mosaics and stained glass; however, you are able to do a self-guided tour if time is an issue. Many buildings to explore, you won't want to leave. Such an impressive, timeless and tranquil environment; a profound cultural experience!

We took a longer self guided walking tour and loved this campus. A great blend of old and new architecture. The art museum was exquisite as well as the Rodan sculptures outside. The tower was closed but still an impressive monument. The quad is gorgeous. What a dream to attend this school!

I always wanted to visit Stanford. This is a wonderful education landmark. The buildings are nice to view.

We took a nice stroll on the campus and found it to be quite appealing. We enjoyed the beautiful architecture of the campus and spent a lot at the huge bookstore. Parking was easy at the nearby Tressider parking lot. The Hoover Tower was beautiful but we got there too late to go up.

The original Google server housed in LEGO, whose colors ultimately lent themselves to the Google logo! On display on the lower level of the Huang Engineering Center.

this is the great school and a great place to visit: just walk around to breeze Stanford air and feel the spirit of years of art and science, beautiful architecture, chapel, don't miss the bookstore and find in walking distance wonderful art museums, and of course, don't miss Gaugin sculpture garden...

What a beautiful campus! My family went on a walking tour led by a student that was a great way to see and learn about the campus. Whether you are a prospective student or just want to see the campus I highly recommend a visit to Stanford.

Very nice place to visit; many dream to study here, many visit, quite a number study here, especially Asians and Indians, among the minority. The walk to the Tower was pleasant, cool, peaceful, relaxing, and very picturesque. Went up to tower to look around, pay a small fee. Many visitors from China.

A very special and a place of great honor to visit. Beautiful buildings and good maintenance. A Global brand.Beutiful architecture. A must visit university

Really fortunate are those spending one or more years living at this exotic campus!
Visiting the vast campus area itself is a great experience!

Happy to be in a world class University! This university was founded in 1885 by Leland and Jane Stanford in memory of their only child, Leland Stanford Jr., who had died of typhoid fever at age of 15 the previous year. Stanford was a former Governor of California and U.S. Senator; he made his fortune as a railroad tycoon. It has the Alma mater of 30 living billionaires, 17 astronauts, and 20 Turing Award laureates. 64 Nobel laureates and seven Fields Medalists have been affiliated with Stanford. Definitely we are not in this list. But at least got an opportunity to be here!!!

I've been to Stanford a few times to visit my sister who studied here. Clear skies, lush grass, and elegant architecture combine to make it one of the most gorgeous campuses in the world. Walking in The Oval and Engineering quad, I saw students studying and collaborating with one another. It truly felt like walking in the center of innovation. Stanford is such a unique place being in the heart of Silicon Valley. The entrepreneurship atmosphere drive students to study in interdisciplinary fields - combining both tech and humanities. A trip here is definitely worth it.

Fascinating history, some amazing galleries and building to visit. Stunning memorial church and numerous sculptures and things to see and do!

Visit the campus, its beautiful! Tons of history and stories. The bell tower is a must visit too! beautiful view! Don't under sell yourself, walk the whole campus!

The hospital was very nice, clean, etc. not a lot of people speak English but it was a good experience

I've been here dozens of time and am always knocked out by the breadth of the public art on the campus. The art museum has a walking/touring map. Some of the sculptures: Buffano, di Suvero, Henry Moore, Alexander Calder, Josef Albers, Rodin (or course), Kenneth Snelson, Maya Lin, Andy Goldsworthy, George Segal, Bruce Beasley...

The tour is about an hour long and give you a pretty food idea about the university, the students and the general atmosphere in Stanford.
The guide was very kind and interesting.

I have spent few hours on the campus for a game and I was impressed by the place, all the beautiful buildings, the impression to be in one of those "elite students" or in an american University movie.

Gorgeous campus with gardens, sculptures, beautiful buildings, museums, great vibes. And in the fall, amazing colors with autumns leaves.

Very friendly people. Great amenities and weather with plenty of places to eat, lounge, meander, walk, ride, and learn.

visited my son here at the Graduate School of Business. Lots to see, for great views go to the top of the tower

It was my second visit. I had already visited in July 2022. The university is charming. It feels like I took a dive into the films and pages of history books. I highly recommend the visit. I just advise you to wear comfortable shoes and have time, to walk around the campus, stop in cafes, shops, churches, enjoy the works of art, literally immerse yourself.

The university is top inn the nation. The Campus is worth a visit. It is green and pristine. The lectures, art and cultural events are incredible.

Enjoyed 3 days watching extremely high quality water polo with representative teams from 16 colleges and universities. There are two pools with one being really exceptional. We were at the other one which was of less quality but you know what...we could sit much closer to the pool which i enjoyed as I like to see the faces of the players up close (especially when watching grandchildren! The price of a daily ticket (even for seniors) was quite high and would have enjoyed the option of purchasing a 3 day pass. We had a lovely experience.

The museum, the sports area, the new buildings on campus are all wonderful to see.
Stanford has a beautiful campus and a stained glass and mosaic memorial church.

Stanford definitely has an amazing high school summer college program. It is said that Stanford is the most selective university in the country. After visiting the campus I understand why. It is a truly amazing school. The Farm, as it is known, is 8800 acres and definitely worth every penny of tuition. The climate is near perfect and the facilities second to none. The benchmark is Stanford.

It is always great to visit US universities. They are just so different from what we have in EU. It is just fascinating.
Stanford offers an amazing and huge campus. The overall facilities are great and all the students houses are just outstanding! (Keep in mind that I have a European point of view therefore US standards are just fascinating for us!)

We were taken around the campus by a 2nd-year student who was good. She was cheerful and was extremely pleasant to interact with.
I was left a bit underwhelmed as we did not really dive deep into the alumni and the work that Stanford has produced.

Visit and tour with guides and you'll know. It's spread out. It's immense total acreage leaves lots for expansion. Based on housing problems in the whole area of Palo Alto and the number of small RV's parked around you'll appreciate how hard it is to find affordable student housing.

Love the place and the building structure. Simply amazing! A lot to explore and discover. Very nice and clean campus.

Take a tour, have a picnic, ride a bike, play some Frisbee, visit the church or hoover tower, browse the student store. its a great campus that is safe and very well cared for. Whether you're a student, a prospective student, or tourist, this place is pretty cool.

Stanford, just the name itself stands out, and it is one of the best universities in the world.
Located in Palo Alto, it offers one of the most diverse fields of studies in the US, and many of the brightest students attend this wonderful university.
Palo Alto is close to San Francisco, and with its vicinity to the Silicon Valley, it receives many donations from elite alumnus.
If you are looking for a great education, or just near the area, please pay a visit to this wonderful university.

Stanford is a must visit if you hace children any age. It’s campus is beautiful and for sure u will see a couple of wedding parties taking pictures. The gift shop is plentiful.. and u can enter just about all buildings to pick inside.
We live nearby so when family or friend are visiting we end up at Stanford because it’s a landmark not to be missed

My rising senior daughter needed to tour the campus. I am an alum and was impressed with all the changes. Beautiful campus.

Magnificent Architecture. Beautiful Campus, great picturesque. they have a campus tour organized by students which you can book online from two slots. One in the morning and one in after noon. One of the best place to visit with family and kids. Spend an afternoon there and you will love the ambiance.

The Stanford main campus is an architectural treasure, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, of Central Park fame, in a unique California style that just fits the topography and purpose perfectly. The Cantor Arts Center houses a large Rodin collection, including a sculpture garden that is a perfect little oasis of calm and reflection.

I love visiting University campuses. This storied school did not disappoint. Very beautiful old and new mix of architecture on display.

The campus of Stanford University is, to employ an overused word, awesome! It's big, beautifully landscaped, and features some great architecture.

Built to last. Well designed campus. Beautiful buildings. Quiet and inspiring atmosphere. Knowledgeable professors.

Amazingly beautiful. This campus is incredible. Huge and has every facility that you can think of. I’ve been here a couple of times for sporting events- football and baseball and just love the atmosphere. Green with a lot of shade.

I LOVE visiting Stanford! Here are some of my favorite things to do at this beautiful world-class institution:
1) Ride bikes. The Stanford campus is big and generally flat with lots of car-free paths and streets, so it's a bike rider's paradise. Bring your own or rent one!
2) Go to lectures or concerts. Check the Stanford Daily or Stanford.edu to see what world-famous speakers or performers are coming to campus. Some will be limited to students, but many will be available to the public.
3) Take a tour.
4) Visit the Cantor Museum.
5) Attend an athletic event.
6) Visit the bookstore - it's huge!
7) Jog (or walk) to the Dish.
8) Check out the original Google server.
9) Learn about campus life by reading The Stanford Daily.
10) Visit the Mausoleum.
This is only a partial list - there's so much more to do!!!

Stanford is surely a dream university for us. My daughter also loved it. Whether she can make it here is to be seen.

Beautiful place, visited during July. Very quiet and peacefull. Lots of beautiful buildings and nice park areas.

We enjoyed a sunny day at the Stanford campus and it was really nice. It is a very beautiful place to visit while traveling to SF. It worths the drive! Rodin sculptures and the tower are a must!

I have visited 10-12 college campuses over last 4 years. Stanford is one of my favorite. The energy is contagious, the building are beautiful - you know that you are in a special place. The athletic facilities are exemplary. I have not attended classes here, so can't comment on that. But have many friends that have gone here. They all rave about it.

The campus is beautiful and well maintained. The 'hidden' wooden benches and small table garden settings are tucked in everywhere!

Surrounded by beautiful architecture, Stanford University worth to pay a visit when you are in San Francisco. Impressive arc work welcome you to divine purity n the Roman Catholic’s church. Don’t miss the station to get all you need about Stanfords University of book store too.

It is very far from the train station actually, about 20 minutes of walk, but it is a very pleasant walk with good scenary.
The buildings are very grand and there are good text description detailing the history of the buildings.
The hoover tower is closed late afternoon, so be there early if you need to have a nice bird view of the campus there!

Don't miss a free guided or a self-guided tour of this magnificent campus! Outdoor art, history and super architectural elements make a visit to Stanford a must. The largest collection of Rodin sculptures outside of Paris--including the Gates of Hell -- and a wonderful modern art gallery are free to the public. Go up Hoover Tower for a bird's eye view of this enormous campus, don't miss memorial Church which is at the heart of the quad and the beautiful Oval, with its lush grass and flocking students and families.

We have lived near Stanford for many years. While we have hit the highlights many times (church, cantor museum, mausolem, ect), one thing we still enjoy doing is riding our bikes through the campus. If you do this on a Sunday, it is normally very empty. We consistently find art, display and sitting area which we had overlooked at the time. The campus is very large and is very bike friendly.

I loved getting to know the University!
The structure is very good, with several eating places.
It offers free transportation between the Campus and the city, which makes things much easier.

Very nice campus in a great University.
My alma mater many years ago.
One of the best universities in the world, nicest campus of those I know (Harvard, MIT, Yale, Georgetown, UCLA, Berkeley, Rice, Austin, Univ Pennsylvania, Princeton?).
Buildings look like new (good maintenance), campus growing and growing, new buildings and housing.
You should go around in bike (rent one on campus for $20/day).

I have nothing else to add. You need to come here to see it especially during the summer. Great temperatures.

Spectacular in every way. Beautiful campus with buildings sponsored by the greats of technology since the late 1800's. Every building, path and garden are maintained with care and beauty. The standard tours don't nearly do justice to all the things you'll see and do, so read before you go!

Great to have time there beside the high edu raking of this school. This is peaceful place for family with kids and other purposes.

Spent about 1/2 day on the beautiful campus and visited the very interesting art museum which has a very large collection of Rodin sculpture among other fascinating items. Great way to spend part of a day.

Beautiful, sprawling campus with its unique architectural style that made me feel like I was on the grounds of a Spanish Abbey. There is a free bus shuttle (P line) that runs from the Caltrain Station to the Oval. I walked from the station which took about 30-35 minutes. While on campus, be sure to go up to the top of Hoover Tower (ask the elevator operator why all of Stanford’s buildings have red roof tiles) and step inside the magnificent Stanford Memorial Church.

We visited this university. We were struck by the tranquility of the place and its extension! We took a quick walk, but definitely worth a more in-depth visit

Worth spending a day at the campus if you happen to visit MTV. Best way to visit is by taking a bus to Palo Alto or by Uber. I spent 2-3 hours just soaking in the serene atmosphere on campus. Stanford shopping centre is nearby (though it has nothing to do with the university)

make sure you take the tour, the students doing the tour were pretty good. you will learn more from the tour. no need to book ahead, it is a walk in tour

We have been wandering on our own around huge campus on Saturday morning till afternoon. In that time it was not so crowdy so we were able to take photos easily. Campus offers pretty historical architecture. Sometimes it almost feels like style of some of the europian castles, even though we have not seen the church which was closed because of the wedding. Campus does offer some fast food and coffee shops but most of them was closed.

Campus is gorgeous and well maintained. Take the tour to hear the history of Stanford and their notable alumni

We were surprised by the beauty of the Stanford complex and the art collection. We were not aware of the history of this place and got an excellent insight into how it was established.
Well worth a visit!

Lovely place
Huge
Long walks should be expected
The art museum is really good
Architecture is amazing.

We visited as part of a business trip based on a recommended from a local taxi driver. This place is just phenomenal! Like a cross between a large town and a Tuscan village - complete with towers and churches. We took the free walking tour, which was hugely informative and really enjoyable.

I've never been a Stanford student thus I can assess only the campus buildings. The campus itself reminds me of an old Spanish church with palm trees, arched columns and large courtyard. I've been to a lot of campuses across North America and Europe and Stanford has to be the best I've ever been to. Stunning architecture, gorgeous green areas, fountains, and well-kept alleys. The campus also features numerous outdoor sculptures. A lot of history and tradition is hidden in these buildings. It is a breathtaking experience to walk around here and see all the scenery and buildings. There is also well-stocked university store where you will find wide selection of books, clothes, and Stanford memorabilia. A must see when in Silicon Valley.

A recent visit to California found us walking around the Stanford University campus. We were following a puzzle hunt that took us all around the campus. There is a lot to see and the buildings and grounds are beautiful.the whole campus is well maintained!

The architect, gardens, and design of the campus is exceptional! It's worth putting on your bucket list! Since pictures are worth a thousand words check out my pictures!!!

This campus is stunning! The architecture, gardens, trees, church, Hoover tower, oval, grounds, buildings, grounds are all amazingly well cared for. I chose to do the golf cart tour to see and learn as much as I could. I was disappointed. The guide was friendly enough - but talked all about himself and where he likes to eat, party, get coffee, study, his classes, his job he got - NOT interested!!!! I wanted to learn about the history and meaning of Stanford, not about him (Amir). I could have saved myself the 5 dollars.

Beautiful Campus with nice walking lanes and buildings with art and statutes. Parking is free. A must university to visit.
Also close is their University Ave., with shops and restaurants.

Every time I visit Stanford I am carried away. The architecture, the history, the Medical Center, the Stadium, the tangible vibe fill the senses. One becomes aware that the reaction is planned and carefully cultivated, much like Florence or Paris. It is a place for growing ideas. I disagree about taking a tour. My preference is to read up and then set out and let it over take me, especially the friendly people.

The Campus of this world-renowned University encompassing 8000 acres is massive and sprawling – a delight to natives and visitors alike.
The architecture with its lovely blend of modern and traditional is impressive and memorable. The Hoover Tower stands out, and the atmosphere in and around the pretty Church is electric. The unique Rodin Sculptures scattered everywhere are a nice touch. Everything is really well maintained. The Fountain was flowing and the Rose Garden was fragrant.
We wanted to go up to the top on the Tower, but the place was closed on the day that we visited. Maybe, it will give us something to look forward to on our next visit.
There is always a lot to see here. This stop-in / walk around last month was our third trip to this University in 40 years, and every visit has been etched in our memories.
Absolutely worth a visit – as a student, as a parent, or just simply as a tourist. The best part is that it is very close to University Avenue which is filled with fantastic Stores and wonderful Restaurants.

I'm in Palo Alto on business and am very near the Stanford campus. I went for a walk around some parts of the campus one even I ng and it's very beautiful and interesting.

We came to visit Stanford (along with Berkeley and loved both schools), but had a simply amazing visit at Stanford. What is not to like? The campus is beautiful in every way and the people we meet were friendly and welcoming.

We spent a wonderful afternoon exploring the campus at Stanford. There are students at the Visitor’s Centre who are available to offer advice, tours and maps for tourists. Buildings and grounds are beautiful. Abundant picnic tables and benches around to sit for a little rest or just enjoy the resort like surroundings.

Truly a beautiful campus to visit. We enjoyed walking around and taking in so many buildings with wonderful architecture. Classy students and a great atmosphere. Even enjoyed some great food on campus.

Amidst all the construction, Stanford still has that old world feel. Bicycles abound, and I feel healthier and smarter just by being there. The dorm rooms leave a lot to be desired, but students go there to learn, not to sleep.

I had heard a lot about high quality education at Stanford University, how tough it is to get admission and sustain to get a good grade. Being in education field, I was curious to atleast have a stroll in university. We entered through eye catching pine drive into the central park where a flowerbed was grown in which S was depicted with red flowers on the backdrop of white flowers. Beautiful it was. We went in late evening, the central tower was standing tall and was shining with its own lighting. Calm and serene, creative, intellectual are the words which would describe it. Shining metal sculptures of well known educationists, a Church with unique paintings, long corridors of the stone buildings, various departments, ford centre, relaxing food cafeteria, flowing electronic pattern, unique wooden artefacts, billboards displaying various upcoming activities, long well lit roads with big trees on both sides, lots of flowers basking in the moonlight made this visit memorable and overwhelming.

What a campus....it’s enormous. The heritage of Stanford is impressive and when you consider that there are only 6,000 under grads spread amongst such a vast area it can feel pretty desolate at times. That said, it’s a beautiful place to work and study.

It's not just a university it's a full city.. it contains all the facility that any one could need.. it's big. I went there for Summer course and enjoyed every thing.. you can just visit even if you don't have anything to do there.

Stanford excels at training computer scientists for Silicon Valley (and MBAs to manage their finances). It’s also strong across almost all the other fields (though humanities and social science get less proportionate attention). As a student destination, it’s hard to go wrong. It’s many research centers make it an intellectual destination. As a tourist destination it is a lovely campus, but doesn’t offer the kind of museums and libraries some other leading campuses do. From some points, including the remarkable Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences, there are lovely bay views.

It is well worth a visit to Stanford University if you are around! Amazing architecture with a breathtaking environment to spend some time.
The university houses a bookstore (closes around 7pm) where you can choose a variety of Stanford University official merchandise.

A huge campus, designed to be a University, very well kept. It is nice to make their own walking tour and learn about their history. Amazing!!!!

It's just nice to walk through the beautiful campus - a huge one but great surroundings. It's close to the cantor art center and Rodin sculpture garden. If you have a few hours to spare than worth the store. The bookstore is also worth a visit

Stanford has free guided campus tours, but it did not fit our schedule. Stop by the visitor center and they will give you a map for a self guided tour that covers what the guided tour does plus they have additional suggestions to see. Some of the highlights of our visit included the Hoover Tower, book store, sculpture garden, and the Cantor Arts Center. It is a big campus with a lot of walking. Make sure you allow plenty of time to enjoy.

The grounds are amazing and beautifully kept.. some nice coffee shops, sculpture Rodin garden & church are all worth visiting...

The University has great art, architecture, and history. Visit the museum and the Quad. Don't miss the bookstore and the fountains (dip your feet or more!) Great for biking and casual walking.
Parking is not easy - look for the pay parking near the Union.

Beautiful beautiful campus! We drove down on Saturday which happened to be same day as the “big game” vs Cal, so we also got to “people watch” students and alum

The university is stunning with a rich history and beautiful architecture.
Beware however. We parked in the pay lot at the track and field complex and the drivers side window of our rental was smashed and we had some valuables stolen. We were told it is not u common and there are signs to secure your valuables.
Still worth the trip!

PArk your car near the visitor center (Athletic area) and join the free tour. In one hour you get the basics. Loved it..

A large well maintained campus - you can barely cover 25% of it - not to forget the great alumni and founders/innovators who studied here. Even if you are touring San Francisco, a visit to this campus should not be missed.
Fortunate and blessed are those studying here!

The campus is a bit mind-boggling. It’s huge, lush, gorgeous. Impressive and inspiring. Lots to explore. Very bike-friendly. The transit system is really impressive - free, efficient, electric.

Stanford University is totally worthwhile to stroll around for an hour or so.
It is reached by a huge and beautiful park entrance, which in itself is the best location for a great run.
The University itself is beautifully built with very caraterístic building , wide spread and totally accessible for any visitor.
The campus atmosphere is just as you would expect of the place that generated all these great tech companies. Lots of students and easygoing wisdom.
One feels the greatness of the place!

Great staff & housekeeping, location, clean, no comp bkfst but close to California Ave for shpg, dining & other cheap eats. Very close to Stanford Univ & its hospital. Room has fridge, TV, mcrwv, toaster, coffee maker that I didn't use, walk-in shower, comp chocolates & 2 btls H2O on first day, very comfy beds, small pool under renovation, close to Caltrain & USPS, 1-2 miles to Target, Walmart, Whole Foods, CVS, Walgreens, Kohls, GameStop, Town & Country, etc.

I was fortunate enough to attend Stanford for my graduate work and even spent a few years there on the Engineering faculty. It's an amazing place and truly beautiful from an architectural standpoint.
Try to enter the campus via Palm Drive -- a lovely road lined, as you might guess, with palms trees. As you drive you will have a distant view of Memorial Church framed by rolling hills . You can find usually find pay parking in the big loop in front of the main quad. On foot, enter the quad and head towards the church. Take time to enjoy the the shaded walkway on the interior permitter. When you get to the church, you will see inlays in the walkway dedicated to each graduating class. The doors along the interior quad lead to classrooms and some offices.
To me, Stanford is sandstone buildings with red-tiled roofs framed by a cloudless blue sky. You'll see that theme everywhere.
Head uphill from the main quad to checkout the White Plaza, the fountain, and the bookstore (where you can buy Stanford apparel and Stanford-related gifts). You can stop for a snack at the Tressider Union or adjacent Coffee House.
This is a large campus. If you love to walk or can rent a bike, try to see:
Lake Lagunita
Stanford Stadium
The massive outdoor pool complex
The baseball stadium
The outdoor Rodin Sculpture Garden
The Stanford Medical Center
Faculty Hill

My friends and I came to Stanford for a college tour, and I can confirm that this campus is absolutely beautiful. The buildings are large and spacious and the campus is so green. I only wish our tour had a smaller number of people on it so that we could actually hear what the tour guide was telling us about the history of the campus and the student life

Stanford is a really beautiful college campus. You could easily spend a half a day touring the area and seeing the sights. They have a beautiful church, Fountains, Rodin Sculpture Garden, Great architecture and beautiful gardens. Since it is also free it is a great budget item as well. The entire campus is done in taste and was immaculately clean we were visiting. It has something for art lovers, architecture fans, gardeners and future scholars. Really a great attraction.

I went to school here and this is the best campus for sure! The memorial church is a must-go place. I got married there recently and it is one of the best moments in my life. Go Cardinal!

Beautiful campus. They're doing a lot of construction so be aware of traffic. Also, there are many students riding their bikes and most of them don't understand who has the right of way (most think they do so drive defensively). We came here during parents' weekend so it was quite busy. Watched baseball games! Go Cardinal!!

The main campus buildings and manicured gardens are a real haven from the heat and the sun, and the Burghers of Calais statuary group by Rodin is a cultural surprise and delight.
We eat in the main student canteen, which was a pleasant interlude of sharing a moment of bustle and intensity of some of the world's brightest minds, while eating our takeaway chicken.
I found the service at the integrated Starbucks left a lot to be desired, but that may have been due to the fact that I physically presented myself at the counter to make my order and found myself last in a huge queue of invisible internet-orderers. The downside of being at Ground Central of Silicon Valley, I suppose!

Beautiful place to go for a day visit, the open lawns, the surrounding neat and clean areas would want to make one just sit for long hours, probably read a book or walk hands in hands with ones beloved. The Leland Stanford Junior museum in the premises is also very good to visit and one can voluntary contribute for the same, the entrance is free. The Museum also houses hands on activities for children. Not aware if public transport is available to reach it, but one can drive down or take an uber. Make sure when u drive recharge the parking ticket well in advance , else you can get a fine ticket. The cafeteria on site is also good and offers variety of food options.Walk around the Main Quad area and those interested in photography could capture good architecture of the buildings.Nice place for a day visit.Buses ply inside the campus, but not aware if they are free or if one has to take a ticket.

Make sure you visit the tower. Amazing views into SF, and you get a chance to see the campus. The medical center is also an amazing place, but watch for a lot of construction near the medical facility.

First advice: take a guided tour, a bike, and go to the restroom. The facilities complex is way huge and you will need to walk or bike a lot. Buildings are very neat and everything is tidy, although you can feel a great atmosphere.

One of the finest and nicest universities in the world.
Worldwide recognized, science and business, and all fields.
Heart of Silicon Valley.
In Palo Alto, very nice towns and neighborhoods around (Menlo Park, Atherton, etc)

A wonderful place for a long walk among the sandstone buildings. Don’t overlook the Cantor Museum and Anderson Collection!

My wife and I have spent many afternoons at the Stanford University campus which, in my humble opinion, is one of the most beautiful in the country. Excellent for biking, walking, picnics, strolling through the beautiful buildings, finding a quiet place to relax and do just nothing. It's a great way to spend a lazy afternoon with family and firiends. And it's FREE.
Getting there couldn't be any easier either. From San Francisco drive south down 101 and take the Palo Alto or take Caltrain, from 4th and King Street, and get off at the Palo Alto station. From there it's a short walk to the campus or you can ride one of the many Stanford University's free buses, Marguerite Shuttle, onto the campus. From San Jose, drive north up 101 and take the Palo Alto exit or take Caltrain.

Since we live not far (12 minute car ride away), some late afternoons we take a stroll through some of the gardens and wooded areas. It's a beautiful diversion from our daily routine.

We have been to Stanford University many times. We visited the campus again on July 2. We visited Hoover Tower, Memorial Church, Palm Drive, and went to see all the recent and ongoing construction going on in the hospital/School of Medicine area of the campus. Stanford is a premier United States University.

Spent 2 days here for a conference and I loved the ambience of this great University. Happy to have had the opportunity and loved the 100% electric buses which were absolutely free.

Very beautiful campus. Always fun to watch and athletics event and then have a stroll around campus. Campus is beautiful and athletics are world class

You feel the brains just by being on this extraordinary campus. The two art museums are true musts. No wonder it is one of the most selective universities in the world.

Stanford University has a gorgeous place around it with nice buildings and parks. You can get the student experience for a short time. It also has gift shops where you can buy a ton of Stanford themed stuff for yourself or your family/friends.

The campus is beautiful-so much to see and so much history. Just walking the arcades and soaking in the beauty of the quads is worth the trip. On top of that, there are lovely art pieces and cultured gardens tucked all over campus. The church is breathtaking and such a peaceful place.

If you get accepted to Stanford, you must go. The campus is incredible. The other Ivy's can compete - and I'm a Penn alum.

Recommend the campus tour. It is led by students and covers a fair bit of ground. Big, beautiful campus with lots of good spots for pictures.

Stanford is one of the most beautiful campuses in the world and worthy of a visit even if you are not a studen there.

Obviously Stanford is a well known and beautiful college. If you are in the area and have never been, it's a must see. It's huge, but if you park by the bookstore you can have a pleasant walk and see enough of the campus to get a taste.
I am in Palo Alto multiple times a year, and I love the calm atmosphere, gorgeous scenery and yes, the free wi-fi. I would rather find a picnic table or lounge table here and work than in a Starbucks. And you have access to the bookstore and on property food court if you need anything. Have spent many days working here as a gorgeous outdoor office (downtown Palo Alto also a nice spot to do so, along the strip, but this is even better).

Very clean and great campus. I visitied D-school and felt innovative atomosphere.
There is big shop and they sell a lot of kind of good of Stanford.
There is old style chapel in the center with pipe organ. It was great, too.

We visited Stanford for an amazing conference on Trigeminal Neuralgia and the doctors there were wonderful. The McCaw Hall is beautiful, we felt very welcome.

Stanford University is one of the best college campuses. It is a tourist attraction in itself. The interior reminds one of any cute European town. Certainly would very highly recommend visiting Stanford University campus to any tourist for an offbeat experience.

All 4 of us loved our visit to Stanford. So much to see. So much history. There are tours at 11am and 3.30pm. A student freshman called Isaac showed us and many other visitors around. Takes about an hour. It’s a fast tour but so interesting.
Isaac was extremely knowledgable about the University and gave us a really good feel for the place.
Take CalTrain to Palo Alto from San Fran station. Then get the free shuttle from Palo Alto station to the University.
We highly recommend this activity.

My husband and I went to see about Stanford doing clinical trials for Hodgkin's lymphoma and there is one available. I did not want to do the chemo and this trial is for people over 60 that have not had chemo in the past.............................it is more gentle and the side effects not as severe. Dr. Advani and her staff were so informative and very positive in their approach.I will be going there from San Diego every 3 weeks for 8 visits.

Stanford is most beautiful and largest campus in the world. The main campus is in Pal Alto. With 160+ iconic tall palm trees lead you to the oval. And where the entrances to the Main Quad standing tall. And the iconic Memorial church is magnificent. With Jesus sermon on the mount painted on the front top half of the church. The Hoover Tower overlook the campus. And you have Stanford Dish sits in a big hill (with 530+ feet gain in elevation) behind Stanford Campus.
The cantor museum is free; however online reservation is required due to Covid policy.
Campus has a total 8100+ acres which fit 90 Disney land and 40 Berkeley. Colored with many species of plants and trees.
In 2021/2022 according to US News/World Report, it is ranked #6 in US.
The November weather on average is 70 High and 50 Low and most of the time is sunny.
Stanford is a must visit school & place to see if you are in the bay area. On Saturday, you will see many people come out to take wedding photos or professional photo shoots.
This is a fun place to visit and just sit on the oval lawn to enjoy the sun, blue sky, family and friendship.

We took the university tour on a Sunday morning, had a great guide named Teo, but we were in a very large group. We had a quick overview of some of this humongous campus. The chapel is lovely, the hospitals are HUGE (though they weren't included on the tour), the sports fields are numerous, and the fields all seemed to be in use which surprised me for a Sunday in summertime. Good news: parking is on weekends and evenings. Bad news: any offices you might wish to see is closed during those times.
We didn't make it over to the art museum, which I've heard wonderful things about.
Like most world renowned institutes of higher learning, it is an intriguing place to experience.

One of the most beautiful, clean, YUGE! spread out campuses I have been on.
My son goes here and was visiting in end Jan/Feb. What an incredible campus.
While pandemic only allowed me to see the buildings from outside, it was incredible.
I walked around myself, rented a bike and cycled with my son.
The weather was cold but incredible. Sunny each day. Tried the food courts, went to his dorm. Was like a Star hotel!
The campus as said, clean, wide roads, clean! no cars in most zones, everyone on electric skateboards, scooters, walking, cycling. Amazing.
And to be the most amongst the most premium University in the world?
What a fabulous combination.
I bought out the bookstore probably!

We visited over a few days this summer! Great campus to take a tour or if you have bikes this is the easiest way to get around and see everything. There are bike chain up spots everywhere! Don't miss the Cactus Garden, Totem Poles, Hoover Tower, the New Guenia Sculpture Garden and the Standford Cardinal Stadium (especially if you can catch an event there - we saw the LA Galaxy take on the San Jose Quakes in Soccer)

Its a wonderful inspiring campus to visit; even if you are not a student. The incredible Northern Californian weather adds to the beauty of the place; there is almost always clear blue skies as you walk around. The campus is large; don't miss the Museum and the Rodin exhibits.

Would never attend a university with so few flowers. Towering evergreens and endless seas of well-maintained grass don't make up for it. Surprised such a place with such a callous attitude toward our delightful perennial friends would be as well-regarded as it is. Clearly word of the campus' dearth of flowers has not widely circulated; that ends here.

The campus of Stanford is huge and beautiful. As a 1975 graduate, I can't help but wish it had maintained a bit more of the spirit of the consciousness of the 60's. But time marches on, and the university is still fantastic, albeit in a much more formal way.
I brought my family to see Stanford in July, and they were awed by it. So time marchs on and so does Stanford.

The school is one of the best in the country. We walked on our own (book a tour early as the fill up fast) and waited for twenty minutes to ascend the tower (worth the wait and the small fee). Now that my son has seen it, the thought of attending is very motivating.

The dramatic approach-street is lined with palm trees, making an incredibly pleasing picture. The beautiful architecture is themed throughout, and very photogenic.Totally our visit was what I would call comforting.

My father went to Stanford so I wanted to take a visit. I was impressed by both its size as well as the archetecture. It's a really spread out campus so it's difficult to see it all by foot. Parking is a pretty big issue as well. Visitor parking isn't close but definitely walk-able. I was there before the beginning of the semester so there wasn't much of a crowd. Very impressive.

A very nice campus close to Silicon valley. The Rodin Sculpture garden and museum is worth a visit as it is teh Cactus graden.

Wish my daughter would get opportunity to go here, but sadly they do not have an undergraduate business school, only graduate level. The tour was very informative, led by students. Would be a great place to study, with a web of support there on every level. If you can get in, they make sure you are taken care of, supported and encouraged to pursue your educational passion. Google started here, Olympians by the handful, and superstar alumni. History of the place is fascinating.

Attended the graduation of the class of 2019. The campus is gorgeous, abundantly filled gardens, artwork and architecture. The campus is geared towards walking and biking, if touring be prepared to walk, it's worth the close up view. There were amazing plantings throughout the campus, and statuary including many by Augusta Rodin. The rchitecture varied by era and wonderful examples. Be sure to check out the clock tower, you can view the mechanism at ground level , very interesting. We even found the school store to be great! Four stories of everything you could imagine with the school branding. Stanford is a must see if you have a student or just in the area.

Did a college tour here. It's beautiful. Just a nice place to feel young and in college again! LoL. We had a great tour. Can do a self tour too.

Would highly recommend anyone walking through the campus of Stanford University especially a visit to the cathedral. It was very expansive, clean, and enjoyable.

The walking tour of Stanford, conducted by one of its students, requires a little stamina and fitness to keep up with the tour guide :)!
This is a beautiful campus - it would probably be a joy to study here - and stay fit. We law lots of students getting around on bikes. The tour started at 11.30 and lasted an hour and a bit.

The Stanford University campus is amazing -- reminds me of an Ivy League school -- well maintained - beautifully groomed - beautiful buildings

Came from Chicago to watch Stanford/NU. Tough game for NU but the fans were friendly and great tailgating. It was a sunny day so don’t forget the sunscreen. The campus is quite impressive!!

My adult son and I were in the SF area. My son was a swimmer in college and swam at many universities in the US, Stanford being one of them. He wanted to return and take a tour of the campus and athletic facilities.
Stanford is a stand-alone campus. This means it is not in a city or has city streets running through it. It is large but everyone travels on bikes. There are many, many bikes. The campus is awesome it’s a mixture of old and new buildings. The athletic facilities aren’t the greatest but are still very nice.
Having a degree from Stanford is top notch. We are from the east coast but if I had a child that wanted a west coast school, and, they had the grades, Stanford is the place to go.

Located in Stanford city CA (Palo Alto region) Stanford University was founded in 1885 by Leland and Jane Stanford, dedicated to Leland Stanford Jr, their only child. The institution opened in 1891 on Stanford's previous Palo Alto farm. Despite being impacted by earthquakes in both 1906 and 1989, the campus was rebuilt each time. Unmissable!

My family wanted to see Stanford and it was recommended to me as a must-see. Over the years, I have either seen too many or attended too many schools to want to be on another campus.
I was pleasantly surprised - beautiful buildings, lovely grounds with wonderful trees in great falls colors.
We visited the bookstore as well and we all picked up some college paraphernalia - fear the tree!!

The campus is so vast, and we really did not have time to go all around. The Memorial Church is awe inspiring, with the huge mosaics, stained glass and so much more.
The Burghers of Calais Sculptures in the central area is really unique.

Not only the education level is of highest standards but climate and environment is extraordinarily nice at all times.
Very very lucky if you have a chance to visit The campus

We visited the sprawling university campus yesterday. It was awesome.I will not write about it's famed academic activities as We went there to see the university campus only.Front portion is full of huge trees on both sides of the Main entrance road followed by huge playground and then comes the beautiful buildings ,library and the captivating church. The entire area was so beautifully and meticulously planned that it is not only captivating but also presents ideal study atmosphere for the students ,faculty as well

I have visited more than 20 large and small colleges and universities throughout the years all over the country and Stanford is hands down the most beautiful one. Very peaceful, green with magnificent buildings in Spanish style with tile roof and terra-cotta.
Statues of Rodin and other beautiful artwork is organically integrated through the campus. The feel is both warm and solemn. Traditional and very lively.
Great for walking, lots of open spaces.
Don’t miss it if in the area.

A fabulous campus and university, the city of Palo Alto is just beautiful! A great place to go to college!

This campus is lovely. It’s very large so be prepared to walk. Whatever you do, don’t miss the Rodin Sculpture Garden. Also know that the famous Rodin sculpture, the Burghers of Calais is not in that garden, but rather near the main quad. The main quad wasn’t what I expected, being all concrete. The beauty really lies in the rest of the campus with numerous beautiful green spaces between the buildings. Also, if possible, check out the campus bookstore. The kids that get to go to college here are so lucky!

Amazing campus with a blend of modern and traditional architectures. Multiple conferences happens in the campus round the year. Stanford is well known for its academic excellence with ranking as one of the best universities in the world.

I like visiting and looking at the grounds and hearing about the history. There are many different aspects here to see and appreciate.

We travel to the school for my youngest daughter. She was so impressed with the campus she now wants to attend. We also watched the Stanford women's volleyball team and had a blast. Great facility and such a fun game to watch. go Cardinals

I have been there for a couple classes, the university is very structured, there are many cool places, like: convenience space, garden where people seat for reading or just relaxing.
It's close to the Palo alto station is possible walk to there. People used to jogging in this route. Very cool view.

There are a lot of combinations that make up some of the greatest schools in the world. When you take all of the ingredients you love and mix them into one school, it is hard to come up with something better than Stanford. A great location in the heart of technology innovation. thought leadership, a beautiful campus and great education. The only downside is how expensive it is to live there now as gentrification continues.

While all the graduations at Stanford are on the same day, each faculty has it’s own celebration and ceremony. The only place that is crowded is the parking and they did have many people directing traffic, but luckily we went quite early as the parking still took nearly half an hour and the exit slightly longer.
The main pedestrian thoroughfare was lined with kiosks offering fruit, granola bars and water, free to everyone attending. We were at the Psych Grad which held a beautiful buffet luncheon in the prettiest gymnasium I have ever seen and I have seen many, many gyms. The food was plentiful and delicious.
The ceremony, because of the reduced numbers, went quite quickly and felt more intimate than many other graduations I have attended. The ceremony was held outdoors under a marquee, on a beautiful California afternoon. Very impressive!

This campus is beautiful and a wonderful place to walk or grab a bench and read. The campus chapel is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Stanford students are pleasant and engaging. Look out for the bicycles, they are everywhere. Its the primary form of transportation for most Stanford students.

HUGE and beautiful campus - the style of all the buildings are highly consistent, making it very pleasant to view the campus from any angle. Don't miss the class plaque and time capsule at the entrance of the Memorial Church. The Stanford Bookstore offered some nice souvenirs - more of a souvenir shop than a bookstore, though.

If you want your children to set goals for top universities in the world , do take them. We were there on a convocation day with loads of families to attend. Hoover tower gives a glimpse of the whole university. Church and surroundings are nice.

A lot of stuff to see if you're just visiting - from Bing Concert Hall to the nearby Cantor Museum. There are also various groves and hidden spots with art and installations from various cultures and styles.
Parking is enforced everyday so don't just park anywhere! Most of the spots are available on the weekend for anyone though - just don't park in the ones for campus vehicles.
Download a map and you can find where visitor parking is available.
There is a visitor center and there you can sign up for a guided tour or gets hints on places to visit.
Most of the major areas will be around Palm Drive. Bing Concert Hall is on one side, the Cantor Museum is on the other. Then at the end of Palm Drive you'll find the oval - there is some parking here but not much. Walk a bit further and you'll end up at the church. You'll pass by the Burghers of Calais (Rodin) where there are often people with large pads sketching away. The church in the quad is worth a visit inside too!
Biking would be an option if you're into that.

So pristine and lovely this campus sets the bar very high in every way. The fields and pools and entire campus are unequaled anywhere else. Hoover Tower is amazing.

Enjoyed a peaceful moonlit walk around Stanford campus. The large campus has a feeling of grandeur because the buildings are well spaced and architecturally pleasing. The clock tower, the Spanish-style archways and the quads are beautiful places to walk around. In the central court Rodin’s assembly of statues “the Burghers of Paris” was particularly striking in the moonlight against the backdrop of lawns, archways and the university chapel.

This is one of the most beautiful campuses I've ever visited. The university grounds are extremely well maintained and great architecture.
Take a walking tour of the campus and visit the gift shops (a bit on the expensive side though - but you're sure to find something).
Make sure you visit the chapel - it was the highlight of our visit.
The visiting center was very helpful and provided us with a map and advise on the best routes to follow. If you're hungry, enjoy lunch with the students at one of the canteens (very affordable).
This is truly a world class university.

We were on our way to visit friends for lunch in Palo Alto so decided to take a look at Stanford University. It's a big campus and surroundings kept nice. We also visited on a nice day and when school is not is session. Now we can say "We went to Stanford!".

Go there at 6 Am , you can follow the route on Runtastic having the all around campus journey. Peace and quite within the magnificent park all around the buildings. You can breath the legend there

Expansive grounds, vast and varied Medical Center, notable museums and art collections and excellent FREE bus transportation throughout grounds and adjacent area

2 days conference related to smart cities. We had many speakers, so we took almost no break. But, each speech was excellent.

I loved our visit to this unique shady and peaceful garden and it is a unique opportunity to be immersed in the symbolic cultural heritage of Papua New Guinea artists.

Its amazing that the university encompasses 8,000 acres of prime real estate. Tours are offered twice a day by students out of the visitor's center

We visited while seeing a football game there. The campus is beautiful! The buildings are amazing looking and everyone was very nice.

We signed up for the free campus tour. What turned out to be was an-hour long information session, followed by a student-led guided tour. It's indeed a beautiful and huge campus, and we are particularly impressive with the memorial church located in the center of the campus. The bookstore was impressive with many souvenir, books (including a large area for children's books), stationery and a small eat-out area.

Great university to visit. Can’t describe all the beautiful features it has. I’ve visited lve league campus’s, UF,UNC and many more. All were impressive but none compare to Stanford.

Have to come here. Gigantic campus. So many things to see. Spanish architecture, modern architecture, redwood trees. Lovely to go on guided tour to hear about the history as well

We recently visited Stanford with our daughter and booked the Golf Cart tour. For $5/person, it was well worth the money. It is just 5 people and the guide in a 6-seat luxury golf cart. The tour covers much more territory than the walking tour. Our tour guide Haley was absolutely fantastic--full of energy and information! We made several stops and really felt like we saw the campus.

I visited Stanford university in February 2018.The hufu tower is really good. You can see a beautiful view of Stanford university and San Francisco. Love it very much!

The campus is very beautufill and despite of a cold December day (as for the region) the sun made it look like we all know it from the pictures and movies. It is a great place for a walk, regardless of interest in architecture. One feels like exploring all different paths to see what do these hide.

The garden, the buildings, the atmosphere, the note boards, the syllabus of offered courses... One understands a bit more why this is such an incredible institution

Stanford University is a beautiful campus. We visited during the Holidays of 2019 and it was empty. The different buildings, squares, and architecture are very interesting as well as functional.

While visiting San Francisco, we rented a car and drove to Stanford on a Saturday morning. The campus was dead and all the food places were closed but still we enjoyed the serenity, beautiful architecture, and the palm trees (so many of them on Palm Drive). Eventually we walked toward a nearby plaza outside the campus to have brunch . Then we visited Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Center for visual art which show cased a unique form of art. The memorial church was unfortunately closed but still we got to appreciate the outside view. One interesting thing was that the bathrooms around the campus were using recycled water for flushing.

I took a walk around the campus on a recent trip. It is nice. It looks older and is fairly spread out. An enjoyable walk of in the areas.

If you can get in and if you can afford it, this is one of the top universities in the country if not the world. Its focus on engineering with a business emphasis is perfect for young future entrepreneurs. Big enough to have alot of diversity of courses and people but small enough to not feel like one of the big cali state Us. The art museum (thanks to wealthy dotcom donors) is really impressive.

Lovey campus with stunning building and great facilities. Staff very helpful and polite. Great place to walk around.

The world famous university is well worth visiting and going around. The area is huge and atmosphere is so unique that I could even imagine to come here as a student.

We enjoyed of our visiting at Stanford University. It’s an historic place with church ,art museum,Rodin sculptors, and many other wonderful things worth to see. Stanford University is one of the world’s leading research universities.
The Leland Stanford Junior University was founded in 1885 by California Senator Leland Stanford and his wife, Jane, in memory of their only child, Leland Jr., who died of typhoid fever at 15.

Just a short walk from Cal Train we began on the lovely Palm Avenue, a delightful introduction to the incomparable campus.
We were struck by the tranquility of the surrounds including no student crowds arriving from the train. We later gathered that most students reside within the complex.
First stop was Olive's Cafe in the Wallenberg Hall basement, an enjoyable repast out in the pleasant courtyard.
With remarkable ornateness the Memorial Church is awe inspiring. It is a feast for the eyes inside with Byzantine style mosaics and so much more.
Great art works are spread throughout. Burghers of Calais Sculptures by Rodin are in in the central area and tremendously evoke a dramatic event in European history.
The galleries and garden devoted to more of his masterpieces were great to see. What a collection.
More modern public art is represented by two we saw, Boo-Quilla and Retrofuteé sculptures. Cantor Arts Center and Thomas Welton Stanford Art Gallery had engaging exhibitions.
We had panoramic vistas of the grounds and buildings from the top of Hoover Tower. Here also is a remarkable carillon that was restored in the beginning of the 2000s, at which time additional bells were added.

A good campus with very beautiful buildings and church here. There are also some Rodin's sculptures here. I think it is worth spending half day here for people want to know what's the one of the best universities in the world looks like.

Had fun learning about the campus history and dynamics through the on site students.
Nice and calm place to study..

Enjoyed a beautiful Sunday morning strolling around the main Campus area. Nice architecture, fountains, and landscaping.

One of the more beautiful college campuses you will ever see - always good for a look-around. Beware, it's not so easy to navigate, so you'll see more than you expected and you'll be there longer than anticipated.

I'm giving the Stanford Campus 5 stars simply because it is so diverse. And huge. Over 1,000 different kind of plants. Plus.a Simon Properties Shopping Center. Budget at least 4 hours up to a full day to tour.

You don't need to pay for a tour as there are free and self-guided tours. This campus is still gorgeous even with renovations. Truly one of the nicest campuses I have been on.

Went their for a quick tour and found the campus very beautiful and calming. The buildings there had some great architectures and it was buzzing with students and visitors.
Must visit when in Bay Area.

Stanford University is the crown jewel of college campuses in the United States. Its palm tree lined streets lead into a beautiful lawn court with the campus just beyond. On a clear day, the hills beyond campus poke up over the Spanish-stylized buildings. The whole campus feels like a Spanish mission, paying tribute to some of the early European settlers of the time.
The campus stretches from the main lawn in three directions. Just beyond the lawn is gorgeous Spanish mission church. Even if you are atheist, come in to see this gorgeous building and admire the artwork. Past the church comes the-stylized campus' main academic buildings and areas for students, all following the Spanish theme. Just about every spot on campus is photogenic so make sure your camera roll is full of space or your phone is charge. A
A couple notes: the tower does cost money to climb and view the campus from a birds eye view. All of the sports facilities are at the south end of campus and most, if not all, are typically closed to the public. Most buildings are open on campus but, be aware, some places function as hospitals and research areas so don't go wondering without knowing at least a little about what you're walking in to. Lastly, parking didn't seem to be a problem for people but I did not experience it myself. I took the Cal Train from San Francisco which was a cheap $15.

it is a great university and a good place to visit. many social & academic activities. you can spend all day here

Most impressive campus of this size anywhere. Old and new architecture meld seamlessly. Be sure and see the cactus garden and golf course!

The Stanford campus is big. There are other Campuses in the country that are better laid out and landscaped. It is a tech oriented school with students that are not very social aware other than by means of their hand held devices. It's the new age.

Stanford has arguably the best college campus in the world. The beauty of the campus can't really be described by words. You have to get there yourself to experience the beauty of the campus, for it is too big and grand. It is easy to get to by Caltrain and there are free shuttle bus between the caltrain station and the campus (about 25 minutes walk). Or you can always get a uber to get into the campus. There are plenty of parking spot on campus as well. You can easily get an Uber out of the campus as well. The staff members on campus are all super friendly. Great School.

I wish I had more time to spend on campus here. Just passing through, the beauty of the setting is stunning. The oval is an absolute delight! And the promenade into and out of it lined with many a palm tree.

Beautiful university campus in top condition. Building in Spanish-Mexican style, grounds extensive with many green spaces. Private golf course in the immediate vicinity. Especially during the semester break (summer months), visitors can move relatively freely.

Didn't see the entire campus by any means but it was good to see and step foot on campus of such a school. The campus is as beautiful as I expected to be.

Wish I was young and bright, so I could go study at this beautiful place!!!!
Can highly recommend a visit to Stanford university:-)))

Stanford is the dominant icon in an area known for icons. Before Silicon Valley, there was Stanford, and without Stanford there would be no Silicon Valley. It is a drop dead gorgeous campus - huge and bucolic, but easily navigated on a human scale, it's core being the Quad. Easily accessed, too, unlike East Coast iconic Universities I have visited. Best way to see the campus, bring or rent a bike.

My son was awestruck at how beautiful the Stanford campus was. He wished he had applied to this university after checking it out. He was lucky enough to get into MIT...maybe graduate school at Stanford?

I visited Stanford University as part of my tour to Silicon Valley. The best part about visiting Stanford is that the Palo Alto Caltrain station is walking distance from the main gate. You can spend more than half a day in the campus that has a lot of trees and greenery surrounding it. There is always some activity or the other happening at Stanford and you can attend them as well. We also sat on the lawn for a bit and it was very relaxing. Overall, its worth the pilgrimage if you are an academician. A lot of the great inventions of our time have come from Stanford. Make a quick visit if you are in Silicon Valley

Visited the campus in June. Just amazing facilities and space. Wanted to spend more time, will visit again and take a proper tour.

We enjoyed a 70 minute walking tour of Leighland Stanford Junior University. It was wonderful to hear the history of Stanford and even the true name as well as our student guide's prospective about campus life. It is a beautiful and inspiring institution and my 13 yo son said he felt smarter just being there😉

Took a class here for continuing education. It was a delight to walk the Stanford campus once a week. Its beauty is astounding. Recommend that you visit it simply to soak in the atmosphere.
Loved this tour of Stanford Uni
Stopped off at Stanford as part of a Silicon Valley Tour. Really enjoyed our walk around this fascinating campus. The tour takes approximately 1 hour but you could spend a lot longer there wondering around the Uni. I particularly loved the frat halls.
