Peyton got me laid after her last tasting of the night. She deserves a raise! Out of all the distilleries in Gatlinburg. Sugarlands has had the most entertaining tastings!

Great tasting with Trey on Sunday and Gus on Monday! Sugarlands is always coming out with new flavors and cocktails! Great way to enjoy38th wedding anniversary! Sips up!

Had an awesome time doing a tasting while on vaca in the area. Our server Nicole had the best personality, was so fun and made the experience even better!

Their bartenders are hilarious and they always have interesting flavors. Definitely a repeat offender…I mean visitor.

We met Stephanie a few years ago and we love to catch up with her when we are in town. Very sweet young lady. When you meet someone while traveling and then they remember you it is pretty cool.

The tour at Sugarlands Distillery was a good time. The tour itself wasn’t very long but it was very informative. We also had a tasting and blended cocktails out back. The staff were all very helpful. We will definitely make another trip back to Gatlinburg and visit Sugarland Distillery while we are there!

We always have an awesome time when we come here. We stop every time when we’re in town. They have some of the best moonshine in the state. Our bartender Gage was wonderful and we will be back because of him.

First time to Sugarlands !! Loved it, made some great memories. Gage was our Bartender- very entertaining!! Needless to say we left with a box of jars and a pour spout.

We've been coming to Sugarlands for years now. They have the best moonshine!! This past trip we had Thomas doing our taste testing and he was amazing! He really makes sure that everyone is enjoying themselves and having a good time. I can't wait for our next trip!

I am usually a fan of their competitor, but this trip, Sugarlands has taken the cake! The shine has been phenomenal and the service has been outstanding. Mad Dog (Madison) was hilarious and made the tasting a riot. The best part if you can go daily, use your wristband for $5 off and stack your wristbands with no limit! Going every day with 2 people for 5 days is a prettt decent discount on some shine to take home!

If you go to Sugarland you need to hook up with Rob! He will give you the experience on the sipping post ! You won’t be disappointed! As Rob says Bottoms Up! Sips Up!🇺🇸👍💪🇺🇸

We started with the $5 sampling and that was very fun! Even nicer that you get $5 off with the armband they give you to sample if you decide to buy a full glass to take home. The prices are high at $25+ for a mason jar but the product is great and the environment is lively.

Editing to add that on my 4th sampling visit we had Ben as our server and he was the best! We come here every year!

Thomas was the best for serving the taste testing. He was fun and entertaining. He is worth waiting to be your bar tender.

BEST moonshine tasting ever!! They always make it so fun!! A must stop every time we visit Gatlinburg. Make sure to visit the bar and try some of their drinks. Sooo good!!

Thomas was absolutely hilarious. We really enjoyed having him serve us. Clean and organized business. Pet friendly to well behaved dogs. Excellent selection of spirits. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. We purchased tastings and the Maple Bacon moonshine.

We went to see Mark and Digger on January 26. We were told they would be by the product on the main floor. Later the bar staff told us they would be in the bar. After doing the sampling of all their products we bought $130 dollars of moonshine and then went into the bar and bought drinks to wait on Mark and Digger. At 1:30pm the bar staff literally told us to get our drinks and merchandise and GET OUT. So we left. After waiting for an hour and a half and dropping a total of $150 in this establishment we were treated this way and still did not get to see Mark and Digger. Apparently they don’t appreciate their customers. We will never step foot in their place again or buy any more their product. Ole Smokey will get my business. The entire bars staff should be fired for being rude to customers.

Travis was entertaining and very funny! He let us try any of the 13 flavors! Definitely a must do on the strip in Gatlinburg!

Most of the "Moonshine" they sell here is pretty much a joke and as weak as wines. However; they make the tasting really fun and give you a pretty decent variaity to sample from. Overall only one or 2 of there drinks I consider buying but I would do the tasting again for the few bucks they charged for it.

Wandered in to Sugarlands as I normally do when I get to town and notice they were sampling the Roaming Man product. Jamie was awesome and extremely knowledgeable about the Roaming Man product line. His explanation of the product was precise. He really made it a special tasting. Not to mention the product itself Roaming Man is EXCELLENT!!!! 1/29/24

Their Moonshine Tasting was so much fun and a great deal! Only $5 for tasting 9 different types of moonshine and a great explanation of what we were drinking. Their cocktails are also delicious!

We always go to Sugarlands every time we visit Gatlinburg. The tasting is a must, they entertain you and you get a moment to laugh and enjoy yourself. We went twice this visit, Stephanie and Rob were amazing!!!! Funny, entertaining and personable!!! We will be back!

Sugarlands Distilling Co. is, by far, the BEST moonshine in Gatlinburg! We went to several others tastings as well, but Sugarlands stood out for their tasting experience, their shopping experience, the cocktails available and their tour. Highly recommend!

Ben was very funny during the tasting!! He made it fun for everyone. Enjoyed all the flavors especially the chocolate coffee.

Rude people! First the lady at check in was rude, wouldn’t answer my questions and then says I’m holding up the line and save my questions for my therapist? We already paid so we go to the bar and it just got worse. Our bartender was just as rude, all I needed to know was which flavors had nuts in it because I am allergic. I ended up only tasting 1 flavor because she couldn’t give me a straight answer. Do better!

Had a great time doin the tasting. MEME kept us smiling and she was great with the descriptions. Left there with six jars. 😜

We have visited Sugarlands for tastings for many years and always had a great time. However, when we visited on Monday, November 12, 2024, we had a very disappointing experience. Although the tasting itself was fine, we approached an employee with questions about one of the samples and were met with rudeness. He told us we should have listened when the lady who did our sampling (who referred to herself as “Mad Dog”) when she explained everything, but it had been difficult to hear her due to the noise. The employee brusquely informed us that the sample was a blend only available at the back of the bar. When I asked what ingredients were in the mixture, he once again responded harshly, saying we should have paid attention. After he finally listed the ingredients, including cranberry juice, I asked if they sold cranberry juice. He shouted, “Lady… you can just walk next door to Walgreens and get that… of course we don’t sell that here.” I expected better treatment and have never felt so disrespected and belittled. I’m still unsure if he was trying to be humorous, but his behavior was simply rude. We will not be back. We also visited Ole Smoky on this trip and they were very nice. The staff at Sugarlands needs a lesson from the Ole Smoky folks.

Great time we had Rob for a bartender and he was amazing!!!! Went with family and friends definitely will return. Thanks for making it fun and a great experience!!

Sugarlands tasting are the best! We went twice on our trip and enjoyed tastings with Ben and Rob. If you’re 21+, definitely pop in and try it out!

Love their moonshines - they always seem to have the most flavor and I love their flavor combinations. Try the peanut butter and jelly - you'll think you're eating a sandwich!

Despite the fact that Matthew LS swapped a ‘72 Nova, he does know his whiskey. The speakeasy tour with him was full of fun and info.

Also, year after year Rob remains my favorite sipmaster on the Moonshine side. Sugarlands, you have 2 winners with these guys!

What a great place to go to the back bar get a drink and wait for your tasting. The tasting was very good and would come back again.

Couldn't believe my eyes when I walked by the tours board! So happy to see Connie back doing tours he is always so informative and loved being able to talk with him!

Well, the tasting was great, our host was not. I just didn't care for him saying "SH#T" in about everything he said about the moonshine. Example was "The White Lighting is gonna burn like SH#T. Do not drink the cream moonshine if your lactose intolerant because you might SH#T your pants. The host in the whiskey tasting was great, he explained the whiskey very professionally and added I could go to the bar area and get a cocktail made with this whiskey if you like in a drink. I did and purchased 2 bottles. This would have been a 5 star on the whiskey side, but the moonshine host dropped it 2 stars.

Wonderful experience Loved the tour our guide gave a lot of information the Blended cocktails were Great the sample tasting was the bomb we had a great host and got to sample lots of different flavors

Best place we have been!! We legit do this every time we are in the city!! Our favorite place to drink! Always buying 2-3 bottles to bring back home! It’s the best. Gatlinburg is our 2nd home!

The moonshine sampling was amazing and for 5$ can’t beat it , me and my wife had an amazing time and the tour of the distillery is a must , spent less than 40$ between the both of us and left happy and buzzed!

Sugarland is our favorite place and Trey is our favorite guy. He takes the tasting experience to a new level year after year. Cant wait to go back there soon. Everyone at Sugarland are so friendly. One of the important thing to us is that Sugarland give the discount to first responders as appreciation for their services. Big respect to them for that.

This place is always hopping and fun place to go. We tasted all three days. We had Peyton, Ben, and Gus. One taste-master just as fun as the other. Large variety of shine and a they have a large selection of products and souvenirs. Can’t wait til next year

We really enjoyed the tasting; Brock had us laughing so hard at times that my husband almost spit out his taste! The wait (35 minutes) to get an open spot was a little much, but it was nice. We’ll have to try some of the recipes we were given!

The drink tour guide Foster was the biggest jerk I’ve ever encountered in the business. He tossed out my wife for talking to her friend after she paid to be there. Our entire group left immediately. Worse customer relations ever. Do not frequent this business if Foster is working. Management didn’t care when approached.

My favorite distillery! As a local this is my go to place for a good time in Gatlinburg, staff is always friendly and funny. My favorite bartender there is Trey and Hatch is incredibly helpful whenever I have questions. The live entertainment and back bar are huge plusses too! I haven't ever had a bad experience here and always love to take visiting family.

10/10 would recommend. Peyton was amazing as our host! Between telling us how to get it, to getting us drunk lol it’s awesome! If you’re looking for an awesome host, go to Peyton’s table! You’re sure to have a great time!

We went to the sampling, Rob was great, he was well informed about the sugarland shine, and out tasting with him was awesome.

The tastings were good but our tasting guy was pretty boring, he wasn’t very enthusiastic. We did get to meet the moonshine guys the next day which was def a highlight to our trip.

My wife and I rarely drink, but for 5 bucks a person, we gave it a "shot."

A group of people pony up to the circular testing bar; after the server describes each concoction, you are poured a tiny plastic cup of said liquor/moonshine.

You get to try 12 or 13 types of booze.

We had the moonshine sampling and Devon was great. We also did the tour of the distillery with Justin he is a fun guide that truly enjoys his job. We took home great memories and a few other things.

Maddison was great! We always ha e a blast at Sugarlands. Used to be our favorite distillery, but some of our favorite "bartenders" moved on, but we still enjoy Sugarlands. And the legacy moonshine was everything it was supposed to be.

Great fun, great opportunity to taste things i'd never taste in all likelihood. Really enjoy their products. However, even with the tasting credit applied and the "sale" it is WAY more expensive than buying at my local "total wine store" back home - the feeling of being overcharged that much is no fun....but go and try things youve never would have, enjoy the "show" and the cocktail bar out back

I love sugarlands! Came to love them the last time we came in 2016 . They still deliver today. Only $5 for tastings and you get $5 off of purchase when you return your bracelet. Three guys gave us their bracelets so we got like $25 off for my husband and I! You can't beat it

Neat store! Great theming and lots of variety! They even offer tasting if you aren’t sure what to get! My only issue if they are way more expensive than in the normal liquor store back at home, like a lot more. They also offer a good variety of apparel as well! If you are looking for something to kill some time this is great.

Our server was Stephanie and she was a lot of fun...I enjoy coming and tasting and listening to the stories they share. Will be back.

Omg I’m gonna tell you if you are reading this … if you are in Gatlinburg and you have never stepped inside Sugarlands RUN LIKE FOREST GUMP! We always go to Sugarlands when we visit Tennessee! We have NEVER visited Tennessee without going to Sugarlands! The staff is always funny, even tho it’s their job they always seem like they enjoy what they do! So far we have had ROB 2 times only but he’s got jokes! Thank you rob for our laughs ! And Sugarlands I did a taste test with my daughter with the chocolate coffee cream and another distillery that she liked. I’m happy to say with this test Sugarlands for the win!

Sugarlands always has the best bartenders with the best energy! We’ve been several times over the past few years and we’ll be back next year. We have had the pleasure of having Rob and Trey as our bartenders this year and had both of them last year too. I love them cause you can interact with them and have a really good time.

We Honeymooned in Gatlinburg 34 years ago and have been visiting Sugarlands for almost a decade. Love the place and despite a recent poor experience we recommend it. Avoid Guyver as a server I guess he was having a bad day and when my wife tried to ask his name to better interact he got upset and cut her off. Recommend listening only with him. We can't predict server's mood. Everyone else there has always been great. So we highly recommend Sugarlands and will continue to visit and buy. Just will be avoiding a certain lack of server. Thier bartenders in the back are excellent.

The tour was amazing and the guide really showed how much she loves working for Sugarlands. Very interesting info provided and learned quite a bit. The bartenders at the end of the tour were awesome and the cocktails were very tasty.

Visited Payton our moonshine expert yesterday she was awesome and started me on my newest addiction. She got the group excited about her product and made us want to buy. Thanks Peyton!!

We paid for both of us but did not want to drink full shots each of twelve different drinks. I put my hand on the shot glass so that the bartender would pour only my wife’s shot glass which he did. We had half a shot each. This bent the server out of shape and he said we can not share drink & refused to serve us anymore. He even said that there will be no refunds despite the fact that he refused to serve drinks for which we had paid. Fortunately, the manager was reasonable & refunded our payment. Overall, not a pleasant experience.

Had a lot of fun. Madison was awesome! We go every year and it is always one of the highlights of our trip.

Had a great time doing the moonshine tasting. 21+ and $5 to try 12 different moonshine varieties that are sold in the store. Takes about 20 mins, and the tastings are about 1/2 an ounce each. You'll leave a little buzzed! Bring cash to tip!

Sugarlands never disappoints - we visited a couple of different days while in Gatlinburg. We had a rounds of sipping with Devin and Foster. They both created a party atmosphere, making it a more fun experience.

If you enjoy moonshine or are just curious, this is a Must Do when visiting Gatlinburg. The Moonshine Tasting so much fun. Thomas, our tastemaker, was informative and so funny. And of course, the moonshine was great.... we left with 3 jars!

You will be in good hands if you get either Hope or Nicole. You will have fun.

The only thing I would change is. Free stuff when you buy certain amount. You get free bottles. But we need ways of carrying the bottles. Possible even a cooler or cart to pull. We bought 8 different ones.

We really liked coming here this place it’s fun very friendly and price is great, then you can get a drink and buy some drinks to take home with you..

We had Stephanie for the tasting experience, and she was an absolute delight. She had great jokes and kept us engaged the whole time. Best experience we have had here so far in our many tastings over the years!

Today we were at table 1 …with jelly rolls cousin Travis !! Thank you for our laughs today… we have such a great time every time we go, and honestly we never visit Tennessee without going to sugarlands . If you plan on visiting gatlinburg tn and want something to do this is a MUST DO!

This was mine and my fiancé's first trip to Gatlinburg proper. We have been to Pigeon Forge a couple times, and on those occasions, rode up the mountain by way of bus journey to take a look. It was nice, we decided. Very active, very lively. Lots and lots to do. We'll have to come here sometime, we said. So we did. This June, we finally came. We came, we saw, we drank. A lot. Mostly at Sugarlands Distilling Company.

It was all-too convenient for us, really. We were staying but a block and a few steps away. The building is quite the structure, nestled almost in the center of what I will call the "Gatlinburg Strip." It is as unmissable as it is dazzling, especially when night falls: bright lights, high ceilings; buzzed clientele floating around the entry way. A large, glowing sign out front evokes the aesthetic of a vintage Las Vegas, which feels perfectly appropriate: you get drunk and lose your life savings at both.

This was not my fiancé and I's first rodeo sampling moonshine, far from it. If sampling moonshine was a rodeo, we would be first-rate, hog-tyin', Marlboro Man cowboys of the highest order. These samplings, or tastings, were something special, though. You stand around a circular wooden bar-counter, specially constructed for the purpose. In the center is your tasting Master of Ceremonies, who doubles as comedian. They pour both moonshine and one-liners generously, and both are usually pleasant, except Pina Colada. I hate Pine Colada, but I think that may be a genetic situation, like cilantro.

The tastings were fantastic, fun experiences. Did I say tastings, plural? Yes, I did. For every tasting, which costs five dollars, you are given a paper wristband. This paper wristband is then, in turn, redeemable for a five dollar discount when making a purchase at their store. You spend the five dollars, drink moonshine, and get a coupon for the same amount. The incredible thing is, you can stack the coupons. You can keep going to tastings (which I do recommend, they change flavors around every day,) keep collecting coupons, and stack them, for all intents and purposes, infinitely. This is not an abuse, a hack, or an exploit. It is a wonderful feature, and we certainly utilized it. It's like free money, but redeemable only in moonshine or moonshine accessories.

We couldn't get enough. We needed more. Thankfully, there is more. There are things behind the curtain that will make those public tastings appear as vulgar, trivial. Hidden things, secret things. Things people only whisper about. Experiences. There are experiences. I will tell you of the experiences, my experiences, and delights they hold behind those doors opened only for the select.

The Cocktail Experience is an absolute bargain, and I can't recommend it enough. At the time of our going, it was only ten dollars. For ten dollars, you get three cocktails. We waited for the employee, who greeted us and confirmed our identities. We were then ushered through a door, to a back room. This room a bar. A dimly lit bar, whose sparse lighting would change color to suite the ambiance. It is cozy, wooden, private. It evokes speakeasy of the roaring twenties, except with less secrecy, and I think it is legal. The barmaster was excellent, knowledgeable, courteous, friendly. The cocktails were excellent, and that is all I will say. Step behind the door, find out for yourself.

The Whiskey Tasting Experience is hosted in the same room as the Cocktail Experience. The process is much the same: greeting, identity, ushered through the door. My fiancé and I were joined by a more mature couple. The lady did not drink, but the man did, so she would watch him drink. The experience takes you through Sugarlands' extensive whiskey collection. I know as much about fine whiskey as I do about reverse-mortgages and magnetism, which is not much. I had a great time and I think the whiskeys tasted good. The hosts for this experience were incredibly knowledgeable, enduring my inane inquiries with the utmost patience. Really, I could have asked a lot more questions, but they eventually ushered us out.

We purchased several moonshine varieties at what I consider a steep discount. It felt like a robbery, and was almost as thrilling, but not quite.

Do not leave Gatlinburg without going to Sugarlands Distilling Company several times. Strongly consider doing the experiences; they are worth every penny. Special thanks to the tasting masters whose names I all forget except Gus. Also thank you to Robbie and Rob, different people, who were involved in the experiences.

Gyver was amazing, he was interactive with the tasters, his lines were different than August 2023. You can tell he loves entertaining his audience. The group my husband and I were with said he was the best. I have to agree 100% with them.

The best moonshine tasting in the area,we had Trey as our bartender/comedian,he was very entertaining to say the least. We can't wait until the next trip to Gatlinburg to taste again.

Went for some shine tastings, had a blast. Josh was our server, lots of fun, great guy. Love the way they do it here, it is in a circular area, not over crowded like other places. We had a really good time, Josh was a lot of fun,. everyone seemed to have a good time, even not knowing anyone else doing the tastings, everyone was friendly and having fun.

Mad Dog Madison was our bartender for the moonshine tasting and she was fantastic! She was funny, sassy and made it a fun experience. Love the orange creamsicle!

My wife and I did the moonshine tasting. It’s only $5 for the tasting of 13 different moonshines. We had Travis and he was amazing! Funny and full of energy. The most surprising moonshine was the Eggo waffle. Of course we had to purchase a bottle. This is definitely a must stop if you’re in Gatlinburg.

If you want to sample moonshine, go to Sugarlands in Gatlinburg. We paid $5 to sample about 12 different moonshine drinks. Rob Ham was our host/bartender. It was a good time! You get to sample but it's also an experience. Rob was a good host and made it fun!

We stopped in for a Moonshine tasting and it did not disappoint. For $5 we sampled 12 amazing flavors of Moonshine and Travis, our "Spirit Guide" made it a great time with the jokes and entertainment. I think our bar had at least 16 people around it. Afterwards we combined our 4 admission bracelets with a $5 off coupon each to buy a bottle of moonshine for just $8! The cashier said you can combine as many as you want and then told the story of a local server who gets the coupons as tips and will bring them all up at once to spend them! We chose to purchase a flavor we did not try (Punch) and we actually didn't like it very much. We should have stuck to one of the 12 we DID taste! The flavors rotate daily.

We went on the whiskey trail and was very excited to go to sugar land because of the tv show. We walked in and had to pay for tasting the girl giving out wristbands was very rude!!! The guy doing the tasting was great. Very fun! Then we paid for what we bought and the girl checking us out was very rude!! We probably won’t go back there. There are to many distilleries to go where they are rude!

Travis was a great server at the tasting room! Sampled a variety and loved most of the flavors! Worth the $5 for sure!

We have enjoyed many tastings (Wine, beer, spirits) and have never experienced anything quite like this one. Ten of us stood around a very sticky table with teeny plastic cups. Then an employee poured a sugary, artificially flavored and colored syrup (moonshine??) at a rapid fire speed into our cups. It was done so quickly and sloppily that there was no enjoyment or education of the product taking place. We loved Gatlinburg, but this was the low point of our trip. Cannot recommend it.

Easily the best tasting experience in town.
They check you in and assign you a bar. Each bar has a specific amount of spots so you don’t feel crowded nor do you feel like you need to fight for a spot. We visited a couple of times over a one week stay. Every bartender was different and the flavors change every day.

Payton took care of us. She was fun, engaging, and knowledgeable. We always love chocolate coffee. We will be back one more time before we leave.

The best tasting moonshines make it even better. $5 for a tasting and you get to use your wristband to get $5 off anything you buy. Bar outback give s a chance to taste something not on the menu or to have some tasty cocktails. They offer a 10% military/first responder discount on top. Truly is a must stop every time we go to Gatlinburg.

So I did both the Moonshine tasting and the Roaming Man tour. Roaming man was amazing. It was so cool to see the process they used for their whiskey and how they have grown. The tasting room for the whiskey is gorgeous plus we poured our own Whiskey which was so fun. Fancy Robby is a great tour guide!
For the moonshine I loved the layout of a communal tasting bar. We tried 13 moonshines. Rob Hamilton was a blast and made the tasting so much fun!

Me and my boyfriend had a great time we booked online. Our taste test was fun with Ben. He kept us laughing. We also did the cocktail blend, which was really good. Will definitely come back next time we visit.

We took the blended cocktail tour and our tour guide was Hatch. He did a phenomenal job of explaining the history and the process! He answered questions and offered suggestions when asked. He went out of his was to help us find what we were looking for in the store after the tour. We enjoyed the moonshine tasting after the tour before trying the 2 cocktails included in the tour. Trey did our moonshine tasting and was very entertaining and great at his job. For the cocktails, I tried the Peanut Butter and Jelly moonshine straight up and my husband tried the Pineapple Upside Down, next we had the the Bloody Mary and the Cinnamon Toast Cold Brew. The winners for us were the Pineapple Upside Down Cake and the Bloody Mary- we bought the ingredients for both ( and several others)! Thanks Sugarlands!

We love this place! We make sure this is our first stop each morning for some good moonshine and laughs with the staff. We have been going for years and by far our favorite moonshine tasting. All staff members are good but Abby is by far our favorite. We were lucky to see her during our visit. See you in December!

I love this place. We come here every time we visit. I was severely disappointed to learn that Gyver no longer works here. The only thing that could make this visit better is for Gyver to be back behind the tasting table. Had to take a star back in protest!!

This is a must stop in March when a group of us go to the Smokies for our yearly golf trip. Sugarlands Moonshine totally blows Old Smoky away. It’s so much smoother and refined and the flavor varieties have much more taste. The Iced Tea is dangerously good. The guys doing the taste testing are absolutely hilarious. It only costs $5.00. But where else will you get 12 shots for $5.00?

We always enjoy our visit to Sugarlands. The tasting is fun and offers several different types of moonshine. Devon was our hostess this year and she did a great job. She was informative and knowledgeable about the moonshine and offered suggestions on mixers. Devon was also funny. After the tasting we visited the outdoor cocktail bar. They had several new cocktails and the bartenders were great. There were a couple of moonshines not in the tasting that we wanted to try so we bought a couple of shots at the bar to try them. Our favorite moonshine from Sugarlands is Mark Rogers Peach, Apple Pie, and Maple Bacon. We love making Bloody Marys with the Maple Bacon.

The staff was very nice and helpful. I would tell anyone, you will have a fun time ang learn alot on the Blended cocktail tour.

First, I've never been to tasting like this in any winery, distillery or brewery. I'm not sure if it is every host, but ours was either a stand up comedian or should be. While getting our education and pouring he was cracking jokes and playing the audience like a seasoned professional. We were drinking, laughing, drinking, laughing and have one of the best times we've ever had at a tasting.

Second, this moonshine is delicious! Like, I purchased 8 bottles delicious and I've shared with everyone back home. The two best according to nearly everyone are the Apple Pie and the Cinnamon.

Third, if you have a bunch of friends who want to get some, buy it all on a big order. The more you buy the bigger the discount. We purchased 14 bottles collectively.

So So Good! Make sure you do the tasting!

Sugarlands Distilling Co. in the heart of Gatlinburg was magnificent! The blended cocktails tour was phenomenal, followed by 2 cocktails/person, Jamie was our tour guide and gave us a sneak peak inside the amazing processes that go into making Sugarlands moonshine. I definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting the area (couples, families, business, etc.), the staff were all extremely nice and took care of us the entire time! 10/10 experience from me + their moonshine is wonderful!

Went to Sugarland in Gatlinburg for my 21st birthday moonshine tasting. Matt was our bartender. He was awesome. We joined kind of late and he took his time after to explain to us the first two moonshines. He had awesome jokes and really made it a great experience. He took his time to make sure everyone was having a good time. You can tell he really loves doing this!

We love visiting Sugarland's several times a year for their fantastic tasting moonshine, fun vibe & their bartenders (aka intoxicologists) Gyver, Cody, Trey & Rob have become like extended family! We had so much fun at the Sugarlands tasting we went twice during our trip! You get so many samples for $5 and then also get a $5 coupon to use in store. The tastings were full of laughter and delicious moonshine.

I wanted to try the moonshine tasting here after seeing a lot of posts for the products online. It’s $5 for a tasting and you basically get that $5 back if you purchase anything as your ticket is also a coupon which is really nice. The samples are small but plenty to get a taste. Payton led our tasting and she was great. (She would get a 5 star if I was just rating her). She was really funny and made it a fun time. My biggest negative would be the process of the tasting was a little unorganized and disappointing to me. I understand the concept and reasoning to make it almost a production because they want to get as many people in and out as possible so it’s a standard menu. I wish you could pick your own flavors to taste though because I ended up purchasing 3 I didn’t even get to try because I WANTED to try them. If I don’t like them once I’m home now then I’m basically out 3 expensive bottles of moonshine and I could only get 3 because I was flying and had a limit. I would almost rather them raise the price of the tasting and make it more personalized rather than an unorganized fight to get a spot at 1 of the 20 person bars. There are definitely ways they could make it more organized and an overall better and more personal experience while still serving a lot of people. Overall I’m glad I did it and it was fun but if you want to try certain flavors you’ll be disappointed.

The best moonshine atmosphere on the parkway! They also have a neat little bar in the back where you can partake in moonshine mixed drinks ! Rob Hamm is one of the best bartenders there! Don't think about going! GO! You won't be disappointed!

Me and my wife did the tour and we very much enjoyed and learned alot on the tour and after about the distillery and area in general.

This was a quick, inexpensive way to try out some flavored Moonshine. We ended up buying 3 bottles to bring home but there was no pressure to purchase. Clean and comfortable and fun environment.

Gage was our tour guy at sugarland he is courteous and funny and a people person. He enjoys his line of work. Sugarland should feel proud of him working there. I will highly recommend him to anyone visiting Sugarland in Galintburg T.N.

Our bar tender, I believe Troy, was very entertaining, and we had a nice chat with him after. We even stopped by the cocktail bar for a couple drinks. After our rounds and a couple purchases we headed in for the night.

We love the place!!! We've been every year since y'all opened and it just gets better every year! We did the tasting 4 nights in a row with Ben (outstanding), Gus 2 nights(outstanding), and BP (outstanding). Y'all have some fantastic people working for y'all. We did the bar in the back 2 night but it was closed for window tinting 2 nights, so we did the bar in the middle those nights. Bartender we're great. I was so happy to see you brought back the sweet tea; I got 3 jugs I mix it with twisted tea for a little more kick! LOL. My husband and I don't do a lot of drinking, but when we come to Sugarland we throw down because it so much fun. The atmosphere and all the other people having fun just makes you want to have fun too. I'm pretty sure we tried all of the flavors, and I can say we loved them all!! Thank you for being a huge part of our Gatlinburg vacation we love you guys!! Hopefully we will see you again next year!!

It may look busy, but the lines moved quick.

We booked The Roaming Man Whiskey Experience at Sugarlands Distilling Co. It was well worth the time and money spent. Jeff was an awesome host, explaining the distilling process and serving up whiskey tastings. I surprised my husband and added the "fill your bottle" to our booking so we have an awesome souvenir and extra memories to take home as well.

Wow! From the moment we walked into Sugarland Distillery, we were entertained and treated as though we were family. We were lucky to be there on a day when Mark and Digger were greeting their fans and what a joy that was! We also got to meet Amanda and another master distiller (I believe Jeff was his name). They were all willing to have their photos taken with us. Then on to our sipping station where we were entertained as we have never been entertained before. Our server (Thomas) was absolutely crazy fun. We also had a blended drink in their back bar area and our server there was very professional and helpful. We couldn't leave without buying some merchandise. Sugarland products are not available in our home state and we had to meet airline requirements so we're thankful that there were small bottles of a variety of moonshine flavors for us to purchase. What a great way to spend a few hours! Definitely a vacation we won't forget!

Me and my husband came here for our honeymoon for some moonshine tasting on 12/07/23. I can’t remember our bartenders’ name but he had a very long beard and he was great, very friendly and hilarious!

Rob was so friendly and fun! He made the tasting an experience with his energy and humor! The flavors were delicious! I loved that if you didn’t want a particular flavor, you could ask for something else and they almost always had it available for tasting.

I did the moonshine tasting. It was a lot of fun mostly due to bartender Peyton. The Moonshine is not cheap but we were in Gatlinburg and separating tourist from their money is the goal.

We loved our visit. We visit Sugarlands Everytime we come over. Every bartender we have had is amazing. We had Abby this time and she was by far one of the best.

Very enjoyable experience. The tour was only $16 per person (only those 21+) and free for everyone under 21. Our tour guide Justin was very knowledgeable and funny. Included in the tour price was 2 cocktails from the bar, which is what the fee covered.

The we also did the moonshine tasting, which was only $5 per person. We got to sample around 10 of their products. Very good spirits and was a fun experience provided by the server.

Included in the moonshine tasting was a $5 off coupon, which made the tasting free if you made a purchase. Our group of 4 was able to use all 4 coupons on a single purchase, which is unheard of to allow.

I had a fantastic experience at Sugarlands Distilling! Roaming Man Whiskey is made here, and I enjoyed the tasting tour. The cost was $11.00 for tastings of three whiskeys and an awesome mixed Old Fashioned. The tour lasted about 70 to 90 minutes, was very informative, and tour guide Jesse was funny and answered all my questions. The tasting room is beautiful, and you can get your own personal bottle of whiskey filled directly from a barrel. I highly recommend this tour – five stars easily!

Fun experience getting to sample several (13 if I remember correctly) of their different moonshine flavors and rum. The bartenders doing the sampling are fun and lively making for an enjoyable and memorable experience. Tastings $5/person and gets you a $5 coupon to use on any store purchases. You can save up the wristbands and combine them. We went multiple times during our stay as tasting flavors change daily. We then used all of our wrist bands to be able to get a jar of shine to bring home. They have a cocktail bar in the back that makes several different drinks using their products. We have been to other moonshine places and this one is our favorite!

Cody was hilarious and a true entertainer. We loved all of the shines and had a great time with the customers and host. We visit several times a year and always stop by Sugarlands.

Always have so much fun here, all of the drink pourers are funny and make my friends and I laugh. We had Trey, and thought he was hysterical and entertaining.

Always on my list of things to do in Gatlinburg. For $5, I got to sample the flavored moonshines, as a comedian talked everyone through the tasting. I laughed so hard, I’m sure I snorted. Maybe it was the funny guy….or more likely the shine.

Sugarlands always has the best bartenders with the best energy! We’ve been several times over the past few years and we’ll be back next year. We have had the pleasure of having Rob and Trey as our bartender this year and had both of them last year too. I love them cause you can interact with them and have a really good time.

Out of all the tastings we have done this was by far my favorite. The set up of the distillery show room was very neat, organized and the staff was hilarious. I really enjoyed the bar in the back that you were able to order drinks made from the moon shine they produce. Parking is not the greatest intown there are several garages or if you are able to find street parking some is free. For a tasting you have to get in line to get your ID checked to get your tasting bracelet, what you pay for the tasting you get back in a coupon to use on a purchase if you make one.

Ben was a wonderful server at the tasting! Very funny. We enjoyed our experience and highly recommend the tasting and bar in the back!

Sugarlands is a consistent favorite for our annual visits to GSMNP. This year, in addition to our visit to stock up and taste new flavors, we did The Hidden Stave experience and really enjoyed it. There were four of us, and even though the women are not fond of bourbon, we both enjoyed the presentation and the cocktails were great! The men thoroughly enjoyed the experience and are looking forward to trying the other experience option when we return next time. The “Speakeasy” room was clever and comfy, and Justin gave a great presentation….lots of info and history without being boring or too “stuffy”. He was genuine and fun.
At $25 per person, and four full-size cocktails, The Hidden Stave experience is a great option to add to your visit to Sugarlands, especially on a rainy day!

Pleasantly surprised! Had so much fun! So moonshine wasn’t our thing, until now. We wandered in, paid the $10 ($5/ea) for the sipping sampling and had Rob Ham as our bartender. He MADE the entire experience memorable and enjoyable. We bought three jars when it was done 😎

This was our first stop on a 4 day visit to the area. What a great way to quick things off. Did the free tour and learned a lot about moonshine. Prob a 20 min tour. Then paid $5 to do a moonshine tasting. Had 13 different moonshines. The guy doing our tasting was hilarious. I’m so sad his name slipped my mind. He reminds me of Jack Black. He’s been there since 2017 and made the whole experience so much fun. I don’t drink much and loved many of the moonshines. Great deal and you get a $5 coupon to purchase moonshine. Lots of fun! Highly recommend

Love Sugarlands! We’ve been coming here for about 15 years. I was shocked at the amount of sipping creams they have now. I counted 8! They aren’t too bad but would like to see Sugarlands get back to moonshine! This is moonshine country! Don’t get soft on us Sugarlands!!

There was a long line for the tastings, so we decided to skip it and went to the bar in the back. The service at the bar was excellent (considering there was one person making drinks and one taking orders - I think they need more on a Friday night), and we only had to wait a very short time for our drinks.
We ordered old fashioneds (in a take home glass). They were fine - nothing that I would go back for. It was a fun stop, and I liked the option of getting a drink at the bar instead of having to wait for a tasting.

A great tastings that led to me enjoying some new finds. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and appreciate that they give discounts to military and first responders. The barkeeps that serve you are great

1st trip for my husband and I to the area. I feel like we drank moonshine the whole weekend 😜. We decided to walk Gatlinburg for the day and it was FREEZING 🥶. We stopped in at Sugarland to do the tasting. Nicole was our barista and she was FABULOUS! She made the experience better than expected. We were feeling great by the time we checked out with a case a moonshine. Definitely check them out and bring home some goodies!

Sugarlands is our favorite thing to do in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. My family and I go once a year and we always come back to Sugarlands. We absolutely love this place. Our bartender was Rob ham. He was excellent after a long day with the kids and come to Sugarlands to drink!!

Did a samling with Abby. She is pretty awesome and funny on top of that. Went out back and had an Ol Fashioned that came with a glass. Normally I'd say it was expensive but coming with a glass it's not too bad. It was a really good old Fashioned.

My favorite distillery in Gatlinburg! We had Payton and she was Amaaaazing. Super fun and funny but also super helpful with answering questions. One of the best tastings we’ve had, and hope we get her again! Also, with a group of 4, you can stack the coupons from the tasting to get a jar of moonshine for $6!

My husband’s only request was to bring home some SUGARLANDS moonshine since he was away and I travelled with family. I did not have time to do the tastings but went straight to the counter to make a purchase. I was asked for my ID which I said of course because I look so young, I said jokingly. The woman at the counter said to me, “I’m not a liar, I just need to check the expiration of your license.” Not to mention, but I will, it was also my birthday! After spending nearly 90$, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth with the service. I won’t be back as I felt the hospitality was the worst service. A little kindness goes a long way, but clearly I was just a sale and rudely treated with it.

We walked into Sugarlands just as they opened to a warm welcome and helpful service from the staff. We took part in the Sipping (which is their tasting), standing at one of several circular bars. Thomas, our host, was as informed about his product as he was hysterically funny with his stories! What a character! The only problem was deciding which ones to buy and take with us. This Yankee had no idea there as a moonshine for everyone’s taste. Even Root Beer flavored! I read my things if I add something else Thank you, Thomas and thank you to the alchemists at Sugarlands!

Every time we come to Sugarland’s we have Rob as our tasting host . He puts on an awesome tasting show! He makes the tasting experience amazing! 🇺🇸

Travis is amazing. The maple bacon Bloody Mary will change your brunch experience. $5 for a tasting experience.

Visited twice, 2 different days. Had 2 of the best bartenders both trips. Travis was super funny, kept my crew laughing the whole time. And Trey was hilarious! Completely made our Halloween night one to remember. Good moonshine, terrific atmosphere!

This is a must stop whenever we go to Gatlinburg. The pourers are so entertaining and funny. Trey, Cody and Rob are the best! I give them all 5 stars only because I can't give more stars. Head and shoulders above the other distilleries. The cocktail bar in the back allows you to enjoy a selection of cocktails made with their moonshine. And reasonably priced, as well. You have to give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Full disclosure: This isn’t my first review of Sugarlands as we are regulars to Gatlinburg and visit for our wedding anniversary every September as well as random other trips. We always visit Sugarlands. This short trip was no different and we stopped in twice. Rob and Trey were both great!

The seasonal mixed drinks at the bar out back were delicious as well. Our current fave is the candied grape.

If you like moonshine or have never tried it this place is a must. Very friendly no pressure to buy anything. You want to be close to your motel or vehicle because carrying this product gets heavy real fast.

We did the Blended Cocktail tour. Hatcher was amazing! He answered all our questions and gave us a bunch of history on making moonshine. We enjoyed the tour and the cocktails we got afterwards that were included with the tickets. Highly recommend!
