Debbie was excellent and explained everything very good to everybody on the bus and we would definitely would do it all over again

Four of our family members took the Goat Yoga class and had such a great time! We got exercise while also had lots of laughs and snuggles with the baby goats. They were so darn cute! I highly recommend the class. I can’t wait to do it again in the future.

We took this tour a few years ago and really liked it so booked again. Our driver was friendly, very informative, and answered all questions people had during our ride through the countryside. Our two stops were different then last time and equally nice. This tour is a great way to learn about amish lifestyles.

The tour was awesome. We loved our tour guide Debbie. She was so knowledgeable and gave us lots of great history and information on the Amish community. We stopped at two different places that were Amish owned and enjoyed our brief time there. The store back at their farm is quaint and full of really unique handmade items. The actual house tour was great too. Jennifer was extremely knowledgeable and well versed in the Amish history. We would recommend you try this tour.

The tour was so worth it! Our tour guide Debi was very pleasant. We learnt so much from her about the Amish lifestyle. The house tour was interesting as well. This tour is perfect if you want to get a glimpse of the Amish way of life.

Awesome ride, Tim great driver answers every single question!! Learned about the history the changes, and had some interesting stops

Loved the tour. Learned a lot about the Amish. Our bus/tour guide was great. Our kids enjoyed petting the animals, my wife enjoyed the crafts. I enjoyed the Amish snacks - homemade pretzels were the best!

both the driving tour in the house tour were extremely informative and just a wonderful experience. I actually learned a ton, and so did my wife, and we have been talking with people about the tour nonstop since. We had to drive all the way from Massachusetts and only had a few hours in Lancaster, so we ended up getting the last tour of the day. Earlier ones are better as the farm has more going on and some of the businesses we were visiting had the pretzels and ice cream line closed. we still had a wonderful experience, but we would recommend everybody try to get the second to last tour latest.
We quickly realized that our driver, Tim, is more than just a tour guide. Drivers are an important part of the Amish community since Amish people cannot drive cars, and I feel like he personally knows a good portion of the Amish community in Lancaster.

Excellent tour with an excellent tour guide. He gave us so much information and answered questions. We enjoyed all that we saw during the trip and we never felt hurried or rushed. Highly Recommend !!

The tour was very informative and interesting. Our tour guide, Tim, was very funny and smart and definitely knew what he was doing. 10/10 would recommend

We learned a lot about Amish and Mennonite culture from our bus driver/tour guide as we traveled around country roads in the area. We had leisurely stops at a quilt store, ice cream and snack shop, and vegetable stand. The tour of the Amish house was quite informative, as was the self-guided farm tour. This company has been doing tours of this area longer than any other tour company…since the 1950s.
Behind the ticket office was a BBQ set-up where we got an amazing lunch for a very reasonable price!

An excellent way to learn about Amish history and current life style. Tim was our driver and Barbara our house tour guide. Both were exceptional and learned.

Fabulous experience!!! Loved Debbie, she was knowledgeable and interactive with everyone on the bus ride. Highly recommend to anyone looking to learn more about the Amish culture.

Very interesting and curious. The
Very friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended! We really liked it, the coffee was great, the Amish very friendly and sociable although they do not like to be taken pictures, but they are nice. The house to visit everything very well and the guide explained phenomenal you could tell he liked his work. Highly recommended you visit

Our driver was great and very informative. He also took us to great places in the country side that were absolutely beautiful.

Martha, our tour guide, was lovely and very helpful. The house was well preserved. The receptionist was attentive. Our highlight was all the great animals on display.

The bus tour was a nice ride through the Amish community in Lancaster. The guide was informative & entertaining. We learned a lot & liked the stops at the Amish stores.

This was well worth the $. We took the bus and house tour. Learned a lot about the Amish, their way of life, and their beliefs and practices. We went to some off the beaten path shops which was great fun and the house and farm are quite extensive with a lot to see. Very nice gift shop and restrooms as well.

If you want the experience of viewing Amish people as zoo animals this is the tour for you. On the other hand the Amish also benefit from the tour, selling overpriced touristy trinkets and baked goods at every stop. The tour seems designed to extract as much money from the people on it as possible

We loved the bus tour! Our driver and guide, Charlie, was fantastic. He was friendly, accommodating, and informative. He could also be a comedian 😊The bus was climate controlled, which was great since it got pretty humid that day. We didn’t wait at all. I walked in, got the tickets for my sisters, and went right to the bus. Our stops were well timed. We could walk and shop without waiting around to leave. The tour is a great value and is a great choice for those with limited mobility.

This is a wonderful, informative tour. Our van driver Amanda provided a great overview as well as answering questions in detail. We learned a lot about the Amish. The house tour was also very interesting and walking around the farm on a beautiful November day was most enjoyable. The tour people we encountered were all delightful. Highly recommend this.

The visit to the Amish country was awesome! Our guide / bus driver was friendly, educated & made our tour a fantastic experience.

This experience was really insightful and an excellent introduction to the Amish community and lifestyle. The best part of the house is just going around the farm and the house tour provides an overall introduction of family life and Amish customs. The bus tour makes 2 stops at 2 different Amish stops. The best thing about the bus tour is driving through real Amish houses and farms and see real life at work. This experience is perfect if you are unfamiliar with the Amish and provides great education.

We reserved a tour for 11:00 on a Monday. We arrived 30 minutes early and check in was fast and efficient by friendly staff. We had time to look around the very nice gift shop and visit the bathrooms which were immaculate. We had a full bus for our tour and it left promptly on time. Rose was our driver and did an absolutely great job of driving and narrating. She was full of information and appeared to have a strong connection with and understanding of the Amish. We stopped at the quilt shop and it was amazing. The owner was an amazing lady and had a good selection of beautiful quilts and crafts. She had two of her grand daughters with her and the older one very professionally rung up our our purchase and then both of them sang a song for us before we left. We made another stop at a produce stand and then a third stop for fresh hot pretzels which were amazing. The tour lasted almost exactly 90 minutes including that extra stop. We then took the house tour with Martha and she was a wealth of information on the Amish and took us through various aspects of their day to day lives and culture. We did a quick tour of the farm before we left. The vehicles were in excellent condition and Rose was a very careful driver. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. This is a very professional and knowledgeable tour operator and were respectful of the Amish. We would have never begun to see or learn everything if we had not used them. Absolutely a must if you want to see and learn more about the Amish.

We traveled with Mock Travel and Tim Talley was our tour guide. He was excellent! He was very knowledgeable of the Amish community and answered most of our questions before we asked. His sense of humor and North Carolina “twang” was so appreciated and felt like home. We will always request him! The tour was wonderful and a great value for our group.

Amish country side is beautiful. Driver / tour guide was outstanding, so knowledgeable answering all our questions and providing excellent history and current Amish culture.

Excellent trip and well-informed and affable guide. A tantalising glimpse into an alternative lifestyle, which, while very different, has much to commend it, including building sustainability at its heart.

It brings you back to the slower more peaceful time. It was totally a wonderful experience. I wish I could have stayed longer.

The guided farm house tour was both interesting and illuminating - very worthwhile. The gentleman guide was excellent. Walking portions of the farm was good and the bbq lunch were good and reasonably priced. The 90 minute bus tour through the rural area South of town was nice but 80% duplicative of the information relayed during the house tour and the driver/guide was a bit of a free spirit.

Good experience. Would recommend.
Guide was informative. Farms visited on bus were great. Met people from several countries taking the tour.

This tour was great! First the Amish house, our guide was very knowledgeable and the house was very authentic. Also it was great to b in the air conditioning during the heat wave. Next on to our tour of the area in an air conditioned, roomy van, comfy seats too. Our guide/ driver Bob was great, knowledgeable and full of interesting, factual information recited in a clear, interesting way. Afterwards self tour thru the small farm area. We'll worth it!

The tour was very informative and the guide was helpful and friendly. We stopped at two Amish Farms to experience how they live. I would highly recommend taking the tour.

Excellent tour of the Amish countryside. The advertisement for the Premium Amish Country Tour including Amish Farm and House was accurate in that the the bus tour lasted from 10- 11:45. We came away from it with a better understanding of Amish farming life. The House tour is also a must, in that Amish spiritual life is often misunderstood.
Thank you to all the staff - you were great!

Love it, nice places and lovely farm houses. The customer relationship is good. I do recommend it and for the price it’s worthwhile.

I’ve done the house and town tour twice now and loved it both times. Highly recommend. Even my children were entertained.

Very scenic and educational. Our tour guide however, misidentified goats as sheep lol. The house tour was also interesting but a little bit crowded

The trip was so informative. Our guide was knowledgeable about the area and it was well worth the money. Would absolutely recommend.

People were nice, but the tour guide was too old and very hard to understand, paid way too much for the tour of a very unkept barn , animals were standing in their own poo, was not cleaned out, an one of our horses was holding up his leg when he was tied to the post, don’t think the horses are well taken care of, will not go on again !

The bus tour was followed by a farmhouse tour, which was very fulfilling. The tour gave me a better understanding of the Amish.

Tim is a six star tour guide!
The interesting and educational and reflective of what an "English" is currently striving for. I say take this tour with Tim as your guide for the emotional impact of what all Americans hold dear: liberty with freedom. Thank you, William Penn.

Excellent my Nitzia and Lina towels. Very good at your job. As is housekeeping. Los waitress. Staff excellent staff excellent work, friendly, all concerned about your stay at The hotel is nice.

This place has great marketing for sure. It is similar to what you would see from a county fair and when you are walking around the farm your view is a commercial shopping center including Target and CiCis pizza..... disappointing
The horse area has empty hay bins and hay shelter and there is trash all around the walkways including shredded trash where the grounds mowers runs over candy wrappers etc shredding them into pieces

The tour was worth every penny I enjoyed the bus tour learnt alot from driver of bus no 7 wee enjoyed listening to the Amish way of living passing thru their churches, the corn fields
Wee so had much fun at the house seeing a traditional Amish house 🏠

The tour was informative and interesting. It was a good value. We enjoyed our time on the bus and touring the House. Glad we chose it.

The tour was excellent. Our tour guide Debi gave us such a wonderful history of the Amish Country. It was an extraordinary day. Highly recommended.

It was very informative, my grandson was really excited of sight of all the farm animals. My wife and I came away with a great vast of knowledge from this excursion.

It was wonderful! Everyone was so friendly, from the employees to our fellow tourists on the bus. Tim our tour guide was excellent!!! Great personality, very knowledgeable and very helpful, as I am disabled.

We thoroughly enjoyed the farm house property and tour! Our tour guide, Tim, was knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and funny. Tim gave us a brief history of the Amish, the appropriate way to interact even when taking pics, and the best food!! We had a great experience and if given the opportunity to attend again, we'd enjoy Tim providing the tour.

Wow!!! This was amazing. So much information. Very interesting. The house tour and bus tour are a must. You'll be able to try some of the best ice cream and pretzels EVER at reasonable prices. Both tour guides were interesting and fun.

My husband and I really enjoyed this experience! The bus driver and tour guide were excellent! They were English but very knowledgeable about the Amish community! We recommend them!

We absolutely loved this place. It was wonderful. My girls love it and we were able to pet some of the animals as well!! We love the farmstand too

This was a great experience. We learned a lot bout the Amish culture and way of life. We saw some excellent examples of their construction skills and everyday life. Our guide, Sydney, was very informative and hilarious at times. She has a very thorough knowledge and appreciation of the Amish people and their way of life. Highly recommend this tour.

Harry took us for a bus ride around the Amish farms. We also got to stop at an Amish grocery/bakery and taste some goodies. Harry's narration about the Amish people was awesome. The tour was about 1.5 hours and I wish it was longer! Thank you Harry and co.

Wonderful and informative tour, perfect to get an overview of Lancaster and Amish. And HIGHLY recommend getting some ice cream in or a pretzel at the stop. We learned a lot, saw a lot, and our guide, Harry, was a wealth of knowledge.

Really enjoyable 1-1/2 hour bus countryside tour with Paul, who was extremely friendly and informative. Our house tour was also very well done. I highly recommend this tour!

We did the tour of the house. Tim was our tour guide and shared a lot of very interesting facts about the origins and life of the Amish people. We came away with a much better awareness and appreciation for their way of life.

Mark was our bus driver and he was awesome! Knowledgeable, funny, and kind. He educated us on the Amish ways and we really enjoyed it!

We were surprised that the Farmhouse was located next to a Target plaza, but we could easily disconnect from the commercial center and really enjoyed ourselves. Bonus we had a beautiful spring day, and the tour of the Lancaster countryside was gorgeous. Our tour guide explained much of what were seeing and gave us an appreciation for the Mormon and Amish communities. We also loved the stops at the markets along the route.

It’s a very interesting experience! I would recommend it! Amish lifestyle is completely different from the one we are all used to!

We’ve enjoyed the Amish Cookie tour two years in a row. Our van driver was very knowledgeable and made the drive between farms interesting. Each farm offered two cookies (including the recipes) Make sure to bring cash because you will not want to miss the extra goodies for sale! I highly recommend the Amish Cookie Tour. We will definitely return!

Signed up for baby goat yoga (need reservations!), a gentle beginner class, with the addition of the baby goats wandering around made it a fun memorable experience. Afterwards, we walked around the farm, self guided. Interesting to see how the Amish lived, worked, cooked, etc.

The bus tour was awesome. Really enjoyed the shops. The pretzels and ice cream at the second stop were the best. The soft pretzels are a must, best I’ve ever had. The house tour was very informative. The farm was okay.

We really liked this tour, was very informative and we learned a lot. A lot of information during the visit of the house and the farm.

Very misleading statement. Says traveling around countryside with 2 stops, we sped around the countryside being told things and if you blinked it was gone, never slowed down to let us actually look, take pics etc. 2 places we stopped was actually civilian places anyone could stop at not on your tour, you would think we would be taken to exclusive places since this place said over and over how they are very connected to the old order Amish. There was more about the Mennonite than old order Amish. When we returned and had the house tour, the repeated the same things we had already been told on the bus ride. Not one different piece of info. Also the house has been modernized so it was oh well it’s like this because…. Again misleading as you are thinking you’re actually seeing an Amish home.

Very nice and knowledgeable host/guide but they definitely need new shocks on the bus! A very rough ride. Also, some of the stops were way too crowded due to other bus groups there and the host gave us very little time to stop and browse so we didn't enjoy the ride as much as we thought we would.

Tour was great and I learned and laughed the whole trip! Thanks Tim! He made the experience very enjoyable, cracking jokes that made us all laugh and educating us.

The tour itself was very informative. We were taken through the Amish countryside, saw farmers in their fields, women and children on their foot-powered scooters, and their immaculate flower and vegetable gardens. We stopped for some delicious Amish cinnamon pretzels and ice cream, as well as more than one Amish craft shop. They make beautiful things! At the end we had a tour of an Amish house, blacksmith shed, and farm buildings. We learned a lot about their customs and religious beliefs. My only gripe has to do with the Trip Advisor reservation system. They operate through Viator. The first set of tickets was for a mistaken date. I discovered this after it was too late. I would have noticed this sooner, but the original ticket showed no date. All attempts to contact Viator failed. On their customer service phone recording two options were given. Both told me I had made an invalid choice. Obviously they never intend to give anyone any opportunity to get things right. Our only option was to pay for another set of tickets for a second time. To make things worse, the Chat service I tried from their Web page charged me another $55 to try to answer my questions. Terrible customer service! If you take this trip, make sure your ticket lists the date of the event! I would give this experience a 1 rating, but the tour itself was fantastic.

Really enjoyed the tour of the house. Was worried it would be overly commercialised, but it was very informative and we all learned so much.
It was also lovely to wander around the attached small holding and the gift shop.
Don’t be put off by the (unexpected) large Target store next door. This was well worth a visit and gave us a lot of cultural information and insights that were helpful as we drove through Lancaster County.

Tim was a fantastic tour guide. Engaging and informed.
Van was clean and comfortable.
The house and property are a Must See as well.
We definitely recommend!!

While the guided bus tour was outstanding, the house tour was unmanageable for anyone who was unable to manage a steep flight of stairs.

We had a great time on our tour! We learned a lot and enjoyed the company. The places we visited were so nice and the food……. So good!!!! Great value too

Our guide, Tim, was wonderful. He was very informative and entertaining. He patiently waited as we toured the shops. We are glad he recommended the pretzels. They were amazing!

This was a great tour to help us learn and see Amish life. The house was interesting as was the farm, but the bus tour was spectacular. We had a chance to interact with local Amish folks and see the way they live.

We enjoyed our time on the farm. The barbecue meal was not included in the ticket price, but it was delicious. We enjoyed visiting with the vendors in the farm shops. The bus tour was very informative. Our guide was good to answer any questions we had. We stopped at several homesteads, where a large variety of goods were sold. It was well worth our time and money.

Tim was a great tour guide! Very knowledgeable, fun, and entertaining. Would highly recommend touring the Amish country with him if you want to get a feel for the Amish way of life and traditions.

The tour was wonderful and provided great insight and understanding of the Amish way of life. Tim was our guide and he was personable, interesting, knowledgeable, and humorous. Living in Texas, we are not exposed to Amish and knowledge creates understanding. Such a wonderful experience. Thank you!

This tour was very well run. The tour ran on time and drove us around the beautiful Lancaster countryside while allowing us to view many Amish homesteads, farms, one room school houses and business from the comfort of our tour bus. Our driver not only displayed a strong knowledge of the Amish, but a deep respect for them as well. We bought delicious foods at the bake shop and loved looking at the quilts at our second stop. The house tour provided just enough detail to keep it interesting, and was just the right amount of time as well. Walking around the beautifully kept grounds after the tour was also a lovely way to end the day.

I brought a group of 40 adults and 5 teenagers from the Greensboro, NC area to Lancaster on a bus trip.
We got Tim Talley as our step on tour guide, and he was terrific!
Tim was very knowledgeable about the Amish people and their heritage, and was a 'hoot"!!!
He was very funny, and had lots of cute jokes and stories!
If you come to Lancaster, you can't go wrong, if you request Tim as your tour guide!

We went around to see the animals and then went on a house tour. Our tour guide was Tim. Not only was he knowledgeable he was funny and very patient. My two grandchildren even sat there to listen the whole time.

An absolutely worthwhile trip in the air-conditioned bus. Our tour guide, Sarah I think, explained everything really well. It's worth the money and gives you a little insight into the life of the Amish. Afterwards there's a tour of an Amish house. In our case it was Martha. Informative and well explained. Thank you very much

The farmlands are beautiful! The houses are immaculate! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly! Would recommend this, we had fun!

This was our first time ever m Lancaster and we were blown away by the fall leaves and beautiful countryside. Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable making our Amish tour so exciting and worthwhile . We definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lancaster for the first time .

We had a great time doing the house tour; however we felt rejected and insulted for being Spanish by the bus driver when we did the bus tour. First thing he asked was where we come from! We responded Honduras ,At first didnt think of anything, Later on he said we only going to speak English not any other language. I am proud to be Spanish and I dont appreciate racism on a tour that I suppose to enjoy.

Tim was awesome! His knowledge of the Amish was truly impressive! My wife and I knew very little about the Amish. Tim made it fun with his humor.

Our tour guide was Tim! He did an amazing job! Told us stories and teaches of a lot about the Amish community. Such an amazing tour! thank you Tim

This tour was my family’s favorite part of our trip! Our guide, John, was excellent, and his deep respect for the Amish people was very evident. We learned so much about the Amish beliefs and way of life. Our stops included a dairy farm and quilt shop. Our sons, ages 14 and 7, enjoyed the tour very much. The older one was enthralled with the information, and the younger one loved all of the interactions with the animals. I can’t say enough good things about this tour. We highly recommend the bus AND house tour!

Educational! Inspirational! Fun! Step into another world with this Amish house and countryside tour. Honestly, this is one of the best tours I have ever done. The tours are informative and presented by local, seasoned guides with a passion for the topic. Worth every penny!

This is our third time doing Goat Yoga at the Amish Farm and House. We love the experience every time and can't wait to do it again! The people are friendly and it is just a wonderful family atmosphere!

I gave it a 4 out of 5 . The description said wheelchair accessible. I have mobility issues and the house tour had a staircase to get to the 2nd floor . If I had known that I wouldn’t have done the house tour.

We actually did the Amish Cookie Tour and it was great fun! Our driver, Rose, was so knowledgeable in Amish tradition and knew what many of the farmers did at each farm. The countryside was beautiful to take in and the cookie hosts were so gracious and welcoming. Will do it again next year!

Debbie was our tour bus driver and she was fun and knowledgeable. The stops along the way on the bus were worthwhile, for sure! We also enjoyed the tour of the house, although I am sorry to say, I don't recall the name of the gentleman who gave that tour. He was also fun and knowledgeable. We learned more than expected about the culture of the Amish people and encourage anyone who is interested to take this tour. We never felt rushed.

The tour operators were friendly and very knowledgeable of Amish way of life. We thoroughly enjoyed our travels through the countryside while the guide described life on the Amish farms, very interesting. After the bus tour we were guided through a house while being given greater detail into everyday Amish life, well worth it. Also, there is a covered bridge a short walk from their meeting site, follow the creek towards main road.

This is perhaps my fourth time on the premium tour. It is fantastic. Each time we have out-of-town guests we bring them for this tour, if in season. The house tour and farm walk-around are very informational and fun. You learn a lot about these humble and gentle Amish people; here, as should be, family is everything.
Each time I take the small bus tour it seems to take a different route; so you never get tired of it. The tour guides have always been fantastic. On this list trip, July 5, Lisa was the tour guide and was beyond terrific. She was very informative and somewhat of a historian. It was a lovely tour which we were happy to share with some of our grandchildren.

Great history about the Amish, our driver stopped at two Amish farms and we learned about them a little bit and it was great

We thoroughly enjoyed the Amish Christmas Cookie Tour. Tim, our driver/ guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The families we visited were friendly and the cookies were delicious. We couldn't ask for more.

Wow! I HIGHLY recommend this ! So we did the tour in the bus and the tour guide was so knowledgeable ! I left with a ridiculous amount of awesome info that I didn’t know! Do it!! Then we did the house and grounds tour and learned even more. Thank you for this experience !!

very well organised tour..great guide very informative, highly recomended.defo needed the ac on the bus.it got to 103 degrees later that day,so better to go in the morning..

Love this activity! From the moment you sit down and begin gentle beginner hatha yoga, the little love bugs start jumping & climbing...on you! It's an absolute delight. Even my grumpy husband melted and said...his words...'enchanting'. And it truly is. Completely recommend!!!

We had a great driver/guide and learned a lot about this overall community. We really enjoyed the house tour; the farm was ok, but not essential for us. Really great cinnamon/sugar pretzel at the second stop.

Very enjoyable and informative. We enjoyed the bus and house tours. The driver (I don't remember her name) clearly has a lot of passion for the Amish and her job. She invited questions and gave great answers. Martha guided us through the house and was also very knowledgeable about the Amish. The outdoor exhibits were easily accessible. The animals are obviously well cared for. This was the perfect ending to our weekend.

The tour was great -- interesting and enlightening. Only disappointment was the stop, in the midst of the tour, where they "presented" some (admittedly beautiful) handmade Amish quilts for sale. I think most of the tourists felt pretty uncomfortable during this 20ish minute stop. I don't believe this type of sales push is appropriate on a paid tour, but if it must be done, it should at least be kept until the end, so that the people who are definitely not interested can slip away.

We just finished a Premium Tour, we did a house tour and a self guided walking tour but what we enjoyed the most was our Bus Tour with our guide Tim! He answered all our questions and was able to give us a local perspective of the Amish families and lifestyle! The staff are all incredible and helpful so thank you for making this a memorable experience for us!

I visited with my boyfriend and my family. We all enjoyed the house tour and the self-guided tour of the grounds. All of the staff, volunteers and vendors we encountered were friendly and helpful. We learned a lot of new information during our visit even though we are local. I enjoyed seeing the animals, especially the sweet kitty.

Excellent visit.
The farm provides a hard copy French translation of the guide's comments. It was very instructive.

This is a combined Farm House, farm, and commercial building right next to a Target. The bus tour was very informative. House tour was also. Bus was packed so kind of cramped. Farm has lots of things to walk around and look at. Overall a good trip. Looks very “commercial” though for an Amish place on the outside.

We loved it. Our guide/ bus driver was so informative and knowledgeable. The air conditioned bus was a welcome amenity in a hot August day. We were happy to buy local produce and eat local ice cream as part of the bus tour. The tour of the Amish house was also informative but not as great as the bus tour; perhaps flipping it would be better? All in all an A+ tour and experience.

Debbie (bus tour) & Tim (house tour) were awesome. Great educating of the Amish way of life. GREAT job! Very personal interactions and in depth knowledge of thus unique way of life.

Everyone was fantastic, the tour was full of beautiful scenery and great information. Would definitely recommend. ;)

It was a great tour—we all loved it! Debi, the tour operator, and Martha, the home tour guide, were exceptional. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn about Amish culture.

The bus tour was very good and very informative. Enjoyed it very much. The driver stopped at 2 places which was very nice. One was an dairy farm and the other was a craft place.

It was a great experience, the tour leader was amazing! We learnt a lot about Amish people and their lifestyle. Totally recommend it.

Our tour guide, Harry, was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable. We saw so many things despite the rain! We loved it!!!!! We would highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn about the Amish.

It was nice but the driver had to wait for an Amish funeral which made us a little delayed thus drove a little too fast on these country roads

Tim was an amazing tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable. He was funny and engaging while showing great respect to Amish customs and beliefs.

Traveling back in time is very impressive, and trying their very natural food is totally different. The prices are a bit high since everything is natural.

I really enjoyed the bus tour with Devon our guide giving a narrative about the Amish and why they decided to pursue this particular way of life. It is truly amazing to witness this population living off the grid while interfacing with the English through their various businesses. The bus was comfortable and roomy.I really did not know what to expect as this was my 2nd time returning since becoming an adult. I would have liked to hear first hand the manner in which the Amish navigate on a day to day basis, perhaps thru a tour with an individual for the Amish community. We were taken to see Rachael and her quilting business which sad to say the smaller items were not marked for sale. The quilts that are marked were pricey for a consumer on a tour's budget, though 500 hours of work put into one quilt seems justified.Perhaps Rachel could have a section with items that are better suited for that type of clientele, like pot holders or hand towels. They are small enough to carry along the rest of tour. Those interested parties could make a purchase of that magnitude through a catalog system of delivery as I have seen in the past. Seems like a not great stop to make except for Rachel's granddaughters treated us with a song. That was so precious an unexpected.Devon allow the group to suggest things we would like to see but if it's your 1st time it is difficult to decide.I enjoyed stopping at the produce stand, ice cream and pretzel stand all in support of this community. My thought process is if the tour company is bringing business to these places the community elders should allow us an insiders look being respectful of their boundaries which can be discussed earlier and covered on the bus before hearing about their lives.
The house tour was very informative but my physical limitations did not allow me to go upstairs so for customers like myself perhaps a script of what is being covered like the lamented cards in various languages. I was able to hear some details regarding women but the men portion I did not hear anything. Perhaps a speaker system on the first floor then the presenter can have microphone or headset.
Thank you for the information.

The tour with the various visits helps to know better about their history, eliminating some false legends. Purchases are not cheap, but look original

Great experience, very knowledgeable guides. Enjoyed it very much. Do not leave Amish country without stopping for their amazing pretzels!

The bus and home tour were wonderful and very informative. It definitely changed my previous understanding and perceptions of Amish people to the good!
I would highly recommend this tour. It was well worth it.

Tim was excellent! He was knowledgeable in regards to the people and community. He was able to answer our question and was very engaging.

Debi was our tour guide and she was excellent!!! She was funny, very helpful in the best places to shop and knowledgeable. It was a wonderful informative tour Mary and max

Fantastic and very knowledgeable guide!!
Answered all questions and gave lots of insightful info! Walk away understanding this culture!! Highly recommend

Lancaster tour near Philadelphia, to do without great expectations. We did the full bus tour but beyond the sympathy and courtesy of the Driver / Guide you could do it in the car on your own .. You can see everything from the bus , apart from a 10-minute stop at the market to buy souvenirs . Nice proximity to horses but you can't interact with Hamish

Our journey through Amish area was very enjoyable. Our bus guide was very knowledgeable and too time to answer questions.

This was such a wonderful place to visit. Such a peaceful learning experience. The food was delicious. The kids, Moms and dads had fun.

Great tour. Just wish we got to spend a little more time at each stop. Our guide was very informative. I would highly recommend.

We visited the Amish Farm and House on October 25, 2024, 6 friends from NY. The house tours were very interesting. The tour guide did a great job of explaining the home of typical Amish family. We took also a bus tour with Cyndi, she was absolutely amazing. She shared a tons of information about Amish community with us. It was a pleasure to be on her bus. I would highly recommend this tour, especially bus tour with Cyndi.

Beautiful experience. I thought it was a simple tourist attraction, but instead it is a lifestyle choice that is being dutifully adopted and increasingly so in this county. I recommend to everyone.

Had a great time. We learned a lot about the Amish Culture. Harry was our guide and did a tremendous job. Took us out south and we saw active farming. Many animals and saw several families in horse and buggy at the local store, and milling about. House tour and farm tour was also interesting. I would recommend this everyone.

Our tour experience was outstanding! The guides for both the bus ride through the Lancaster Amish area and the house tour were very knowledgeable and engaging. What you may understood about the Amish is most likely incorrect. Our guides helped to understand the complexity of the history and life of the Amish. The tour was indeed inspiring! Highly recommend.

My husband and I really enjoyed the Amish Farm and tour experience. The tour was on an air conditioned van and Jack was our driver. Very knowledgeable and told a few jokes! Stops included a store with amazing pretzels, a real Amish house where children were selling items they hand made like bracelets and wooden signs. The peanut butter spread was very good. We had a tour of the Amish house and the farm was so informative. Many animals to feed and pet. I highly recommend this tour. Price is great for all you do, see and learn.

Tim was an awsome tour guide & driver. We stopped at various places along the way, all Amish authentic including large steers, puppies, various retired horses, and many goats and sheep. Their house tour was adequate and their farm is lots of fun

I went with a bus tour. We had Peggy.
The house was very interesting, but there was another tour right behind us so I felt like they pushed us to go faster and we didn't get all our questions answered.
They then brought us in the country to see Amish people, but once we came back we did not have time to visit the rest of the property.
I did however get to run to the schoolhouse. It was so cute.
Wish I was able to go to the covered bridge.
This should be visited on your own to really enjoy the Amish land. It is worth a visit if you are interested in Amish people.

Had a great time on the farm! Did the Sunset Dinner Tour and the house tour, and enjoyed both. The bus tour was cool, there's only so much they can show you on the drive there, but the food was unbelievable. The King family invited us in and were very warm and hospitable, and their home cooked meal was great. The butter noodles, the pot roast, even the homemade bread was great. Hopefully you get them if you book this dinner. The family was very kind, and their children also join in with helping with chores. The fresh blueberry pie is unlike anything you'll find commercially made anywhere. This is one of the best experiences you can have with interacting with an Amish family.

We went to Goat Yoga and really enjoyed it! It was so relaxing & fun to have the baby goats around you & interacting with us.Going to bring my granddaughter!

This tour was one of the best tours, I have been on. The driver was very informative and polite. The route was outstanding and you could see the Amish people up close and their homes/ businesses

The tours were excellent. Our bus driver did an exceptional job pointing out all of local points of interest. Shirley was very interesting to listen to. She was very knowledgeable. All in all a great time.

We had a wonderful time! Debbie our bus driver was absolutely delightful and informative. She had a great personality! She offered a lot of information and gave us plenty of time at our two stops on the tour.
The gentlemen who led our house tour was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He answered all questions and was available after the tour if anyone needed any other information. We will definitely recommend this tour to everyone!

I highly recommend the Amish Farm and House Amish Christmas Cookie Tour for anyone visiting the Lancaster area. The experience was a one of a kind countryside tour and rare visit with three different Amish families in their homes. Our Tour Guide, Mark, was fantastic and even taught us a few Amish words and phrases as we drove through the countryside between farms. The Amish Christmas Cookie Tour consists of being driven by tour bus to three separate Amish farms and spending time in the kitchen of the host Amish family tasting freshly made cookies and drinks, receiving free cookies to take along with you, and getting free recipes for the cookies that were offered. You also have an opportunity to purchase more of your favorite cookies or other baked goods and home goods the family has to offer. What a fantastic opportunity to share cultures and spend time in an Amish home; all brought to you by The Amish Farm and House in Lancaster. Well done Amish Farm and House!!! This Amish Christmas Cookie Tour will become one of our families regular traditions for many years to come. Mark Z

We had a wonderful experience! The bus tour and house tour were informative and fun! Our guides were excellent. Thank you

The bus tour with Debi was highly informative and offered a mix of information about Amish practices, culture, and beliefs. I had had some very minimal exposure to the Amish community previously, but learned a lot! - everything from farming practices to schooling to church to why they don't ride bicycles to the basics of a buggy. Debi was welcoming and gracious in answering questions. I apologize I don't recall the name of the house tour guide (11:45 8/26), but I know she spoke German (perhaps several do). She also did an excellent job. I found the info about dress colors/shoes/ornamentation) particularly interesting. I stopped in Lancaster just for this tour and glad I did.

Bus tour and house tour were both top-notch. Got a wonderful overview of the Amish culture with experience guides. well worth the admission price.

This was a fantastic tour! I learned so much about the Amish - their families, culture, faith.
Both guides were very knowledgeable and welcomed questions. We stopped at a few local Amish shops that had beautiful homemade quilts, etc. Well done!

Our tour guide Charlie was awesome. Friendly, patiwnt and knowledgeable. Toured local areas including farms and quilt shops. Bring quarters, petting area with farm animals and puppies to cuddle, and buy. Nice outing with my wife. Would recommend.

We travelled here for the day from Maryland as it looked good, however first impressions were not great. We expected it to be in the country side, a bit more isolated than it was - it's next to a massive target! So that threw us straight away. We only did the farm tour as we had a 3 year old in the group and the house tour was recommended 5+. It was nice, there were some informative signs about what the building were etc the farm animals looked well cared for. However it wasn't worth the 3 hour drive to come and see. Maybe worth it if you are in the area and maybe better if you did the house tour, but it think we'd have been better off going to a local farm to where we were staying in Maryland. Overall I wouldn't recommend traveling out your way to visit, especially just for the farm visit.

Excellent. Fun. Informative. Guide knew every question I threw at her. Stops along bus ride were just right. Would highly recommend.

Awesome experience learned a lot about the Amish way of life highly recommended a little pricey but affordable love this area

It was a wonderful experience! We learned a lot about the Amish ways. Debbie our tour guide was very pleasant and informative

We did enjoy the country and various types of Amish homes. We did not learn a great deal. While our guide, Jack, was very kind - he was not very informative. He repeated the two or three facts over and over. We enjoyed going to a couple of the home shops and seeing the Amish people at work. It was also difficult to understand Jack on the intercom.

Last weekend, my wife and I drove up from Northern Virginia for the day to experience this.
We were on bus #2 and Devon was our driver and guide. She was fantastic as she took us around and telling us about the Amish. We first stopped at a roadstand where they sold homemade snacks; we shared a warm cinnamon pretzel. They don't accept credit, but there was an ATM. Next, we stopped at a quilts retail store (I believe this place accepted credit). Finally as a bonus, we stopped at a home where there was a cupboard outside that sold bread. We bought one of the sourdough loafs. One of the children came out (with her 3 very friendly dogs) to facilitate the sale and provide change since this was also cash only. Overall, this was a 5 out of 5.
After we returned, we did the house tour. This would've been more enjoyable had the group been limited to 10 visitors. To me, this was a 3 out of 5.
Finally, we walked around the farm on our self-guided tour.
I definitely recommend this as it's worth the road trip!

The tour was so informative. The guide in the van was like an encyclopedia with her knowledge of the Amish. She easily answered questions and was enthusiastic in her tour information. We are glad we took the tour as we learned so much about the Amish and gained a great appreciation for their way of life. The farm is beautifully maintained and very welcoming.

Our driver, Tim, was amazing! Very funny and informative! I wish we had cash to get the pretzels 🥨. Yummy treats and amazing arts and crafts.

It was a very informative and interesting tour. We learned a lot about the Amish culture and way of life. Would recommend!

Had a great time on the tour bus. Very interesting and our driver was informative, answering all our questions .The tour guide at the house was Martha and she was great.

I did this tour a decade ago and it never disappoints. It is a great way to learn the history and traditions of the Amish. Starting at the house and farm, you travel room to room to understand how the local Amish live in modern times. Next, visit a couple of farms/vendors by tour bus to see handcrafted wares.

It’s a well maintained farm and house nestled right in the middle of busy streets. The narration inside the house is a quick 15-20 minutes thing. The farm with multiple petting animals is liked by my son and adults alike.

I enjoyed the tour of the Amish neighborhood, and the tour of the house, and the tour of the farm. I thought I knew the Amish, but I learned so much! They are an interesting group! 👍

We had a great experience. Our bus driver, Tim, did a phenomenal job. We learned so much about the Amish and Mennonite ways of life. He did it in such an easy, fun manner.

If you are interested in learning about the Amish and their culture this is the tour to take. Our bus tour guide Debbie was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The tour lasted about two hours yet we had two stops at Amish farms. Well worth the experience.

Visiting the Amish Country with them was a great experience! The tour moved along at a good pace and it was full of details and explanations. Our tour guide, Tim, was also quite respectful of Amish people and traditions, so it was great visiting with him and doing so without feeling invasive. I very much recommend it

Well done - very informative - nice stops for shopping and a snack. Comfortable bus - easy to hear and understand the guide.

This was a great tour! Our guide, Henry, was extremely informative. I already knew some things about the Amish traditions, but Henry told us a lot of facts that I had never heard before. The experience was about 2 hours, starting with a shuttle bus tour around Amish homes and farms. We stopped about halfway through the tour at an Amish market and had some pretzels and ice cream. Incredible! The staff was mostly Amish, and they are so nice and helpful. After the driving tour, we stopped back an original Amish house, where we had about a 20 minute tour of a few of the rooms, and learned more about the way an Amish house is run, and the clothes, etc. The starting/ending point of the tour is also a small farm with several different animals and displays, and the buildings were originally constructed around 1805. This experience is a must if you are in Lancaster for a day!

Paul and Tim were incredible guides! Thoughtful, funny, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to respecting and uplifting the Amish of the area. This was a fabulous tour that takes you up close and personal to Amish businesses and homes, without feeling tourist-y or intrusive. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide was very informative, had a great sense of humor and answered all our questions. Would highly recommend the tour.

We really enjoyed this tour of the Amish countryside and farm. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the Amish customs etc. At the stops along the way we were able to shop and enjoy wonderful treats! The tour bus was small (only about 12 people) which made it more enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour!

We had a great time! It’s started with the bus tour of the countryside which was beautiful. There were two stops at Amish Farms where you could interact with animals (goats and puppies up close - alpacas, chickens). We also had delicious pretzels and ice cream. The products for sale were beautiful! After the bus tour, we got a tour of the house and farm and enjoyed all of the history and learning along with more animals (goats, calf, horses). Our little one’s especially enjoyed it! I would definitely do this again!

Excellent trip, well informed guides and comfortable buses. So interested information about amish culture and their religion.

An educational day out learning about the history of the Amish traditions. Started off with a 45 minutes film/ theatre about the life of Jacob Amman. Then we went onto a buggy ride around the orchards before stopping off to buy some delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies, lemonade and root beer! They sure did not disappoint!

My wife & I were staying at the Eden Resorts for 1st annv. & birthday celebrations. Where we currently live & work we see this Amish out often. This tour gave us more insight to how they live , their core values, and taste the quality foods they make & bake.
We brought several handmade goods & enjoyed the experience.

Tim is a wonderful tour guide. He talked about anything Amish. Our group of 30 would highly recommend him. His description of Amish farms were wonderful.

Our tour guide Tim was amazing. He was informative and funny. The entire family enjoyed the bus tour and playing on the farm.

Thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Good value. The 90 minute bus tour with Amanda was excellent and filled with interesting facts. I particularly enjoyed the two stops at Amish farms. Perfect!

I loved the tour we got from Tim, he was so informative and had very interesting knowledge and always knew what he was talking about. Tim was an amazing tour guide!!

The bus ride was very comfortable with A/C. Each stop had a bathroom and our tour guide was very informative. A pair of Amish sisters even serenaded us on our bus. So cute! I recommend getting pretzels at the second stop of the tour.

Tim from the house tour was great and funny! And gave us great ideas of places to eat afterwards! Tim was great at explaining the ways of the amish

Great experience and our guide was so full of great information, history and loved the stops for yummy treats and crafts

We did the Country Tour bus. Tim was our bus driver and he was fantastic. He is so knowledgeable about the Amish and made them just come to life as he explained so many things about them. He kept us entertained as he educated us about their lives. His humor made the tour so much fun. We made two stops ,the first was Countryside Road Stand. It had delicious pretzels and goods to buy. The second was Riehl's Quilts and Crafts where we saw animals, and shopped for beautiful Amish made quilts and so many wonderful crafts and snacks too. We would definitely recommend this tour and be sure and ask for Tim.

Best tour ever! Our tour guide was so passionate and compassionate about the Amish. She made us care and gave us sooo much information!

We loved this activity. Both the bus driver and tour guide were knowledgeable and personable! Lancaster is beautiful!!

Very enjoyable tour. Paul, our driver/guide, was superb. Shared a lot of information about the Amish lifestyle. Took us to a stop with terrific soft pretzels. The house tour was also very interesting. Everyone we interacted with at Amish tours was very helpful.

The countryside was beautiful and they were planting the fields. We went in a wagon with 2 other couples. We stopped at an Amish farm and saw the animals and the sheds that his son was making. We were able to purchase some Amish goodies. I wish we could have seen the inside of the house and spoken to the women also.

Loved to tour viewing the Amish way of life. Amazing tour guide on the second tour through the house. Very good information.

My husband and I loved this! Not only was Ms. Heidi knowledgeable and so kind as she showed us around a real Amish home, Mr. Tim made the bus tour so much fun! These people really know their stuff! Mr. Tim strongly encouraged us to try the pretzels and we came back after our tour for more! Such a wonderful experience! Thanks so much for making our trip memorable.

Our tour guide Harry was very knowledgeable, passionate and respectfully explaining about the Amish culture as we were driving by their homes, farms, and businesses. We saw beautiful horses, steer, cattle, mules and turkeys. We saw more than 50 horse and buggys filled with Amish people on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. He explained about their schooling, energy used within the homes, how telephones may be used and many other interesting facts including what you can tell about how a person based on how they are dressed. We also learned our way around and will be able to further explore on our own. It was very worthwhile and we recommend it.

We had a very enjoyable experience. We learned a lot from our driver. The tour of the house was also good- our guide taught us a lot as well. The farm tour was especially nice. I would recommend this tour to others.

The bus tour was excellent! Debbie, our driver and tour guide, was funny and full of information! She brought us to all the best spots, including pretzels and ice cream, puppies and kittens, Amish farms and school houses. She drove very well and I didn’t get motion sickness(I was worried bc I forgot my Dramamine)🤪

Debi is an amazing, safe and funny tour guide and bus driver. She is knowledgeable and friendly! The tour is fabulous! It’s a beautiful trip through the countryside. Debi shares history and antics! The two Amish farms we visited have delicious treats and beautiful hand made crafts.

The bus driver, Mark, was very knowledgeable and made the tour of the countryside extremely interesting.
The guide at the farmhouse, Martha
was also extremely knowledgeable
And so rounded off a very interesting visit

After the bus ride out to the farm and pretzels there was Such a nice and informative tour by Jack, the house is authentic and beautiful with lots of unique Amish things. Such as clothing, shoes, quilts, green shades, appliances, dishes, and furniture - just plain and so beautiful. Jack is a wonderful well spoken and knowledgeable guide, glad to answer your questions and show you things. Walk outside and see the barn and buildings plus lots of friendly critters

Debby gave an engaging presentation about daily life and customs of the Amish, also sharing their history and traditions. It was an interesting experience, and I would definitely recommend the same trip to my friends.

Very nice & friendly. A lot of info given’
We really enjoyed the experience. Learned a lot & had a wonderful tour guide. She went above & beyond for us

We had a great experience with our bus tour guide Karl and then with Martha at the house tour, she was nice and spoke in a clear and very interesting eloquent way about the Amish life just a pleasure. Thank you so much

Our bus driver Tim was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We learned a lot about the Amish and this area. The stops on the tour were fun to explore and the scenery in Lancaster County is beautiful.

We enjoyed our guided bus and Amish house and our self guided farm tours.
We learned a lot about the Amish people.
Tim did an excellent job during our house tour. He shared a lot of information and answered many questions. The entire experience took approx. 4 hours, and it was well worth the cost.

Great family tour! Bus tour was awesome from "Bob" aka Harry. He's very knowledgeable and showed us a good time! Heidi was awesome on the house tour. Very knowledgeable and patient with everyone. Great tour for the price! I would recommend to all!

Some fantastic guided tours that seemed authentic, interesting and educational. Subsequently with the opportunity to go further on exploration, among other things with a lot of cute animals. Clearly exceeded our expectations.

Cyndi, our driver and tour guide was very informative. The countryside views were lovely. Seeing how the Amish live, hang their laundry out, farm, do quilting among other homemade crafts shows that they are hardworking people. The tour made 2 stops. One where quilts and various crafts were made, and an Amish bake shop in Bird-in- Hand, PA. Well worth it!

Debbie was very fun and engaging, knowledgeable and made the trip very comfortable for me and my family. 100% recommend

Our church youth group requested a step-on guide to lead a tour the Amish countryside. Our tour guide was Mr. Tim Talley. He was absolutely amazing!!! He was so engaging, congenial, and folksy. Mr. Talley provided lots of information that was interesting as well as memorable. We also enjoyed stopping at two Amish vendor sites. Mr. Talley is clearly the BEST step-on guide we have ever experienced. Additionally, the Amish Farm and House responded to my request for a guide most promptly. I recommend them highly, too.

It was very good. Our tour guide did a great job. Even better that there was only four of us in the bus so got extra attention.

Overall, sorry to say it was not worth the money. I feel like I didn't learn anything on the tour, the guide just kept pointing out "Amish" or "English" house for over an hour. Unfortunately, it was also a Sunday, so all the "stops" were not open, which we were not informed of prior to purchasing our tickets and taking the tour. The house tour was also lacking and quite disappointing although our tour guide couldn't have been nicer. The house itself and the four rooms just weren't great.
Especially for the guided van tour, save yourself the money and explore the area in your own car.

This was a great experience. Tim was very knowledgeable as our tour guide. It was nice to have someone as friendly as him.

We loved our tour with the Amish Farm & House! Jack was an amazing tour guide and taught us so much on our bus tour. It was the perfect tie in to do the bus tour through the countryside and return to the house for a tour. I would highly recommend this tour, it was informative about Amish life & practices.

Our tour group from NC completed the tour with Tim from NC. He was absolutely amazing! He made us laugh, shared a lot of history, answered our questions, and took us to great places to view/interact with the Amish community. Exceptional job! Definitely ask for Tim.

Debi was our bus driver and Jennifer was our house tour guide. They were both great!! We highly recommend going if you're at all interested in learning about the Amish.
Jennifer was probably the most knowledgeable tour guide I've ever had...

Such a fun an educational tour! Deb was wonderful fun an knowledgeable! We got a bit of rain on our day but it didn’t dampen the tour we still had a ball. Especially visiting the cute stores on the way

Very informative bus tour and farm house tour. Our tour guide Tim was a pleasant, friendly guy who offered us plenty of knowledge about Amish history and took us to roadside gift shop, Amish farm and house and tour ended with a tour given by another guide named Harry (I think that’s was his name) of a typical Amish house and petting zoo for kids. I highly recommend this tour which was 90 minutes in it’s entirely.

Our tour guide, Tim, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed our trip through Amish Country and making few stops along the way to try homemade pretzels and to learn about the Amish’s way of life. The tour bus was roomy, clean, and comfortable. A great way to spend a day of exploration.

We had such a great time on the Amish bus tour! Debbie was the best - super friendly, funny, and so knowledgeable. She shared tons of interesting facts and made the whole experience really enjoyable. You can tell she loves what she does. Highly recommend this tour (and ask for Debbie if you can)!

The tour was great, learned a lot, Bill our guide was very knowlegible and was so good interacting with the Amish and us, would recommend this tour to others

We had a great bus tour and loved our house tour guide, Tim. He was very entertaining and knew so many interesting facts. He made it a great time!

Very nice and informative tour. We were able to stroll around farm without being rushed. Great country if you want to see farm land. Worth the time and money.

Tim was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable! Saw a lot of the Amish countryside, farmhouses, cemetery, Amish working the fields. Stopped at a lovely Amish quilt shop and bakery..

A rip-off! $38 to ride in easily accessible 3-5 mile circle to a couple of stores. Driver indulged in 4th grade humor with a smart-mouth passenger, thereby degrading the paradox of Amish faith in the modern world.

The bus tour was very fast. When stopped at the quilt shop we only had 15 minutes that's getting off the bus , shop and on the bus. And the place was closing also. Should no be included. The supper was excellent

Our bus tour was with Ann on Nov 9 bus 5 @. 11am
Ann was very informative, kind and made the experience fun and interesting.

Very well organized. Excellent guides
Thoughtful discussions of Amish life and customs
The trip through the area with the minibus was also very well done

Great tour! It was very informative. Our bus driver and guide was named Debbie and she was great! Busses seat about 14 people and was air conditioned! It was 101° the day of our visit. Highly recommended!

My family and I had a great time on this tour! Our kids are 8, 6 and 2 and they all enjoyed it. It started with a bus tour and then a house tour. There’s also lots of things to do and see behind the farm house. My kids loved the scooters, animals and play area. Everyone was so informative and friendly. Would highly recommend!

This was an excellent way for us to learn about the Amish community in a short period of time. The driver/tour guide was knowledgeable and pleasant.

We had a wonderful time on the bus ride & house tours. Cyndi was our driver & was very knowledgeable. My hubby & I had my mom, & our 4yo & almost 1yo sons & they all had a great time too! Loved the bbq foodtruck, very good ribs.

Fantastic experience! Our bus driver was extremely knowledgeable and took us to an incredible homemade donut shop! He pointed out so many farms and little shops. Inside our tour guide also was very knowledgeable and shared very interesting information about the Amish. Well worth every penny of admission.

It was so much fun. The tour guide was very engaging with lots of information to share. It was so cool going through the house and the school. Gift shop had fabulous selection at good prices. Was definitely worth the time and money!

We had a great driver & guide .. I believe his name was John. He gave us so much Information over the course of the whole trip. I’ve had friends comment on my FB asking how did I learn so much.. well I was taking notes on my phone & John had so much information to share. Time went by so fast as he kept it interesting and just covered so much area as well. We saw lots of farms, buggy’s, animals & crops. We stopped 2 times at shops. After we returned we toured the house & farm. Tour by bus is 1 hr 45 mins then allow an hour for house/farm. We were there almost 3 hours. Highly recommended this tour!!

We arrived 30 minutes early as requested and we were greeted warmly. We had a chance to look through the giftshop before boarding our bus. It had begun to snow, so this made the day all the more enjoyable. Mark was our driver and did an excellent job making us comfortable and providing information as well as answering our questions. We enjoyed the two stops and found the nicest crafts from the local ladies and enjoyed a delicious caramel coffee. The house tour began exactly at 12:45 and was given by an older woman (I cannot remember her name.) She too did an excellent job or explaining the dress, customs and church activities. I highly recommend this tour and the establishment. For me, I learned what a quillow is and can't wait to make one for my daughter.

Highly recommended tour. Ann was our driver and guide. She did an awesome job! Several stops to shop. Amish Farm tour was fun. Family oriented. Baby animals, availabe chicken bbq on Sat. Fun adventure!

Operated from a comfortable van and access to a farm afterwards enables a few hours of good learning and understanding of Amish lifestyle

We spontaneously decided to take the bus tour. In a small group, we drove for 90 minutes in a minibus on quiet country roads from farm to farm, where we could look at and buy the products made by the Amish themselves. Our guide Lisa was there with heart and soul and provided us with lots of interesting and useful information. After returning, we were able to stroll through a kind of 'living museum', where we could view old buildings, objects and animals independently with an audio guide. Recommended if you are in the area and are interested in Amish culture. We probably wouldn't have found these places on our own.

This was my first time visiting Pennsylvania and this is one of the highlights of my trip! I learned so much about the Amish and gained so much knowledge anf respect for their history. Tim was amazing and so full of local knowledge that brought the trip to life!

I was disappointed that we didn't stop so we could take photos. It was beautiful and our guide was passionate and knowledgeable. I would have preferred a few stops and less country.

This was a wonderful tour. My husband, two sons and I went along with our friends. They were able to accommodate our party of 8 on the same bus and our puppy was also able to come along. The entire team was professional, friendly and knowledgeable, especially our tour guide and driver Debbie! She was a wealth of knowledge, sweet, funny and was very engaging even for the kiddos. The ride was smooth and we made some stops including at the Countryside Road Stand for the softest and most buttery pretzels in the world! Craig who was a house guide was also amazing and he was incredibly patient with all of our questions. We easily spent a few hours afterwards on the farm and the kids were very entertained. Lots to do! It was the perfect fall weather so we went to Abe's Buggy rides once we were done, and that was also fun for the entire family. Thank you so much!

Amish family dinner was great. Little bus tour on the way there, very knowledgeable and engaging driver. Dinner was nice and it was nice to see how the Amish really live. Bus tour was so good that despite the number of I’ve been here.. I’m thinking of taking it and getting more of the little known facts.

Great house tour by Tim! Lots of side shops, buildings, animals, and exhibits to view as well. We highly recommend this tour to others.

The tour was very informative and educational. The guide was knowledgeable and the house tour was great. I would recommend this to anyone who is wondering about the lifestyle and reasons behind how they live.

Our primary mistake was that our only day available to visit an Amish farm was a Sunday, and the Amish are actually all in church on Sunday. Any other day of the week, we could have gone to an actual working farm, which this is not. We actually did briefly visit an Amish farm on Saturday when we went for a buggy ride, but didn't see a house then.
this being our only option, we got tickets to the farm and house (we skipped the bus ride, having already seen the countryside). The farm was fine. No Amish were there (again, it being Sunday) so it was a pretty empty farm with us and some animals. The barn conditions were less well-kept than the farm that we visited the day prior, which made us feel a little bad.
We were particularly looking forward to the house tour and learning more about the Amish ways. Our guide, a retirement-aged woman, was semi-informed. Some of what she told us about their simple life directly contradicted what an Amish man told us the day before, which means less that she was wrong and was right, but that there is variation among church groups as to what is and is not acceptable, and this should be part of the presentation. Overall, the guide was a bit condescending to the group's questions, which was unfortunate and a different guide may have provided a different experience.
If you, like us, have this as your only only option on a Sunday, it's probably hit-or-miss, but I'd suggest doing what you can to find a real working farm on any other day of the week.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our driver Tim was an excellent guide and gave us lots of information and answered our questions as we went through the countryside. The stops were great and allowed us the time to experience a bit more of Amish life. Would definitely recommend!!!

Tim was a geat tour guide. Entertaining and very knowledgeable! We learned a lot and had a great time on the tour!!!!!!!!

Great Tour, Tim was awesome! Very informative and with humor. The bus tour brought us to two wonderful farms. You can purchase Amish souvenirs. I highly recommend this tour. Request Tim!

The tour was wonderful. Our driver/guide Harry was so personable and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the Amish community.

We were initially very excited to experience this tour but we're taken aback when the GPS was telling us to pull into a shopping plaza - the 'farm' is apparently right next to a Target which is offputting. We booked the tour during Mother's day weekend and they just so happened to have sheep shearing going on that day so I wanted to make sure we got a chance to see it. I thought specific tickets were required so I booked the tour on the their website. I will say I found booking their tickets a bit confusing and misleading but nonetheless I manged to get tickets. When we arrived, I also noticed that I had been overcharged - the prices listed at the farm were less then what they advertised online. I mentioned this and the gentleman behind the counter attempted to apologize and offer a refund of $7 and change which didn't make any sense but we had just taken a long drive so I chalked it up to a loss - still very disappointing. We took a walk around the grounds which lasted about 30 minutes. They did have some areas explaining how things worked on the farm etc and they had some cute photo op spaces. We did get to see a man shearing a sheep and the grounds were somewhat farm like and informative but overall it wasn't the experience we were expecting.
My advice: Still partake if you would like to see if for yourself just manage your expectations. Keep in mind it is in a shopping plaza and buy your tickets at the counter! Happy traveling!

Our tour leader, Debbie was great. She was friendly and very knowledgeable about Amish culture and history. The drive was smooth and she answered all the questions with patience. We enjoyed the tour very much and learned a lot about Amish life, culture and history! Thank you Debbie!

We enjoyed both tours - the bus ride and house tour. Very knowledgeable guides shared so much information. Well worth your time if it's your first visit to the area. The soft pretzels at the 2nd stop were the best I've ever had!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Amish countryside. Our tour guide was great - very informative. The second half of the tour included touring a typical Amish house and schoolhouse. I highly recommend this tour!

We learn a lot about the Amish People and their manners. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Out the tour we had 2 options to buy at their markets.

We enjoyed the bus you and the two stops that we made (although we wouldn’t have minded if the stops were a little longer). The bus driver was very nice and shared some information about the Amish lifestyle. I don’t feel that it was very detailed. I didn’t hear anything new, really.
The house tour was an extreme disappointment. The tour guide was kind of obnoxious and hard to listen to. He was really ‘jumpy’ and came across as disrespectful a few times. He didn’t give a lot of detailed information outside of his personal opinions or stories. He was explaining the clothing and said, “I know this belongs to an unmarried woman because of the way it looks.” That’s not helpful at all and doesn’t even highlight the visible differences between the clothing. Anyway, we ended up leaving the tour early because it was so pointless. We were a group of 7. I don’t think I would recommend it.

Our tour left much to be desired. The stops weren’t to significant businesses that really exhibited the craftsmanship and skills of the Amish people.

This was a very good place to visit and the bus tour was very good and informative. We had a guide who was also very funny. The house tour was a lot of people at one time, and it was hard to really see the rooms with so many people in it and was unable to really appreciate how the Amish live. And the guide in the house tour just repeated a lot of things that the guide on the bus tour had said. All in all we recommend this tour.

IT WAS VERY INFORMATIVE, INCLUDING THE RIDE THROUGH THE AMISH COUNTRYSIDE. THE HOUSE VISIT WAS INTERESTING WITH A KNOWLEDGABLE GUIDE.
THE DRIVER FOR THE BUS PART OF THE TOUR COVERED MANY QUESTIONS I HAD.

This was an amazing tour! If you do come here it is worth it to do the premium tour. The bus tour was amazing and very informative. It was interesting to see the Amish out and about living their lives in peace. The house is set up as an Amish house and the lady that gave the tour was very informative.

Wonderful ride through Amish farm land with a great guide giving us the history and current life of the people. Stops at a shop that displays quits and the latest in lightning options for the Amish community, as well as a farm stand that sold the best soft pretzels in the world.

Easy to find location. Our bus driver was informative and answered our questions. We were very pleased with the overall experience

Our driver Tim showed us the most amazing places of the Amish. We made 2 stops where there are the best pretzels in the world and a great ranch where the locals sell their goods.
The guided tour of the house afterwards explained Tim well and brought us close. We would love to come back

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and a good driver! We enjoyed the stops to shop a little. The house tour was less interesting than the bus tour but the guide made it worthwhile to know about the Amish traditions.

The tour guides Martha and Lisa were friendly, knowledgeable, and took time to answer all our questions.
There was no opportunity to actually interact with the Amish. Whenever we stopped it was only to purchase food or souvenirs. The experience was overly commercialized.

We had an excellent experience on the premium tour. Tim, our bus tour glide, was so informative and made sure we felt comfortable asking questions. Our house tour guide was wonderful too. She explained everything in depth and helped us to understand how different and simply the Amish lived compared to “English” people like ourselves

Our tour guide was Tim - he was fabulous! Very informative and a great sense of humor. He made sure we stopped at the right places. Highly recommend!

Loved it
We learned a lot
I did my homework before hand and the nice man just verified what I read
Do yourself a favor and look it up to understand it more
Great trip

Great bus driver, very personable and knowledgeable. House tour guide also excellent. Both knew local Amish families, two of which we met on the tour.

Great experience! A fair amount of time on the bus was actually a good thing, and the stops were perfect. If there are any guests who have trouble walking, this would probably be the perfect tour.

Our bus guide was Glenn (a little older) and our house guide was Carter (a little younger) and both did a GREAT job of telling the history, both past and present, and lore of the area. Oh, and don't forget the barn and able to treat feed the horses, pig, etc.
Much fun!

Tim was a great tour guide!! He was very informative and had a great sense of humor. We really enjoyed the experience! Thank you for the fun!

Very informative about the Amish culture.
Views were amazing! Saw farms & country side I would have never seen on my own. Loved stopping in a working Amish farm for a drink & gifts. House tour was very good with excellent tour guide.

Bus tour was great! House tour was good but the information is somewhat repetitive as bus tour. Loved seeing the animals and the schoolhouse!

We had the best tour guide, who had great knowledge of the Amish culture. Our family learned so much while at the farm and in the buggy. My family is still talking about all the fun they had in Lancaster County, PA.

Very well run process. Bus tour was very informative. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and had worked with all of the Amish families in the area for many years so she had lots of information to share. House tour added great information too and enjoyed that as well

I booked through Tripadvisor but had to change the time so called the Amish Farm and House directly and they were easily able to make the change. The bus tour was a fantastic way to learn more in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely avoid going on Sunday given the wonderful stops we made would not have been possible since the Amish stores are closed Sunday. Learned so much about the Amish; had the best soft pretzels we've ever had; loved supporting local, women owned businesses. If you go on the 4pm tour, consider going early so you have ample time to visit the gift shop.
We did the house tour and it was also enjoyable & informative (a lot of the information overlapped from the bus tour) The house tour operator's approach to sharing how diverse the tours are was not the most politically correct/socially aware. He was calling on people that looked foreign to find out what country they 'came from', pressing the issue with some who said they were from the US. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary although his intentions seemed to be coming from a good place.

The tour of the house and farm was good. Very informative. We did a guided tour of the area around Lancaster with Tim. He was fantastic. Very informative. Fun and entertaining. Would highly recommend for groups who are in the area.

As the only authentic Amish home open to visitors, I recommend it to get a sense of how Amish live and worship....the commentator takes you through each room (house and land in Amish hands since mid 18th century). She describes life, clothing, customs for weddings and funerals etc. The farm is fun, too...animals and a covered bridge nearby, too. Don't miss the scooter run (how Amish like to get around besides horse-drawn buggies) and the goat ladder to help goats cross paths!

We knew of but very little about the Amish and their way of life. This tour was an eye opener and very informative. Our tour guide/bus driver Cindy was fantastic. You could drive the backroads with all the farms and unless there was a buggy out front you couldn’t tell which farm was owned by Amish or not. Cindy pointed out all the clues, even knowing some of the history about various Amish families as we passed their farms. There are two stops to shop or pet and feed animals at Amish businesses. She really knows her stuff and answers all questions.
Craig was the tour guide in the house explaining wardrobes of boys and girls and various facets of the house. He was very knowledgeable. The only negative was the size of the group in cramped quarters of a small house. The grounds had interesting exhibits as well.
I couldn’t imagine seeing Amish country without doing this tour.

Excellent Experience! Our tour guide Chris was super excellent! Spoke to us for over an hour. He’s an asset to the company!

We can’t blame the Amish Farm for ending up in the parking lot of a Target, but it certainly set the tone of the entire experience, which was to skate on the very surface of what could be a profound experience—it was purely a visual experience, which, in the pretty countryside, was nearly enough. But both the farm tour and the bus tour offered little in the way of explaining the beliefs and history of the Amish, choosing instead to dwell on the obvious customs that are widely known. A culture averse to electronics, free of addiction to phones, has a lot to teach us, perhaps. But this commercial venture, in spite of the very friendly and cheerful guide, offered little opportunity for individual exploration and sped past the most interesting sights with barely a word. A more immersive tour would be my recommendation. This sort of bland commodification of one of the few truly heterogeneous sub-cultures in the area is infuriating.

Excellent, informative tour of Amish country around Lancaster. Ann was a very good guide - able to answer all questions. Tour of the farmhouse (especially the kitchen) was interesting as well although much of the information given repeated what we had heard during the bus tour. Expected to see more of a working farm attached to the house but examples of Amish technology were interesting. All in all, good value for money.

The guide provided a clear and insightful perspective on the Amish people and their heritage. We had the opportunity to see the Amish people firsthand, visiting them at their workplaces, walking home from school, and watching them sell their wares—definitely a tour not to miss.

Tim was very knowledgeable and personable. Bus was clean and comfortable. Got to see Amish life away from the main roads.

The bus tour and the house tour were both excellent. The Tour guides make it so. We highly recommend both tours. You will learn a lot about Amish life and the history of the area by participating in these tours. This is the original one in the area.

We had a great time - Amanda did a nice job. It was easy time find and parking was great. I would highly recommend it was a nice day

We visited the The Amish Farm and House October 23 2024. Really enjoyed our visit. We took the bus tour with Tim, he was awesome. We learned so much.

Went with my husband who has mobility issues, our bus driver drove into the parking lot to pick him up rather than make him walk and we appreciated that. The tour was wonderful and we learned so much about The Amish. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting. It was the highlight of our trip.

The formula is perfectly adapted to make us discover how the Amish live in the 21st century: very educational and enough to bring back high quality memories. Thanks to our guides Debbie (bus driver) and Craig (visit to the typical Amish house). We particularly enjoyed being able to have lunch on site. MERCI

It was very well organized. Very informative. We learned a lot about the culture and history. It was fun and interesting for adults and children.

Really fun tour. Guides Cindy and Mark were super knowledgeable and friendly. It was impressive they had written descriptions in various languages available for people that didn't speak English and remembered to offer them. We learned about Amish culture, family life and society in a fun environment and stopped at all sorts of stores for shopping and snacks. The self guided tour through the farm had lots of things to see and we ended up staying much longer than planned. Highly recommended!!

Debbie our driver was not good she was excellent, Her knowledge and description of Amish life was something that you can't find on the internet. The areas that we stopped at were exactly as she explained and my Wife and I loved the tour. We have already recommended it to friends and family and we would do it again ( only with Debbie ).

I took the kids to visit this site out of curiosity and to show them how different people live. We learned a lot, met some really nice people, and did it all at a reasonable price. Free parking, nice sized gift shop, and several activities.

The logistics of the tour were really good - comprising a self guided visit to the farm, which is on the property where we saw many innovative and creative ways to operate farm machinery in ingenious non-electrical ways. The second part of the tour was the bus trip around Hamish areas. Here the main objective seems to be for the driver to identify each house as we passed it as either Amish, Mennonite, or other based on whether there were clotheslines with drying clothes in the backyards and whether there was electrical service from the road. Dale was very informative, but slightly defensive and prickly when asked questions of an ideological or philosophical nature. The final part of the tour was a trip around an Amish house in which we learned interesting information about the clothing that the mothers and children wore together with their interior appliances. My demotion of 5 stars down to 4 is due to the slightly sinister nature of the entire enterprise. The fact that Amish women routinely have 10 or more children suggests to me that their society is highly patriarchal. So, although one is filled with admiration for their resourcefulness, thriftiness and avoidance of the temptations of modern life, there remains a doubt about the degree to which women are being controlled and innocent children are being indoctrinated.

We had an excellent experience. From our knowledgeable bus driver, Debbie, to our house tour guide, Heidi, we were vert satisfied.

Very friendly and professional guides give you a thorough explanation of the Amish people in Pennsylvania. We made three stops on working Amish farms on the tour.

We had a wonderful morning here. We were on a bus trip and we went here. We toured the house and then our tour guide hopped on our bus and we toured Amish country for a couple of hours. Then back to the Farm where we had some time to check out the animals, farm and gift shop.

Enjoyed the bus tour. House tour was very disappointing. Thought we'd see a real house and home. Tour guide kept using the term "may have."

Our bus tour guide Jack was wonderful. He was very kind, knowledgeable, safe & helpful. We stopped at one home with a little market at their home. We got a soft pretzel — oh my gosh.. it’s the best you will ever have. It was recommended we get a “Shoofly pie”. We known for Amish. We picked up a small one at a local market. It’s basically like a sugar pie. Delicious. We also took tour through the Amish home & farm. Very well put together. We had late lunch at the BBQ place on site at the farm. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich was awesome — so much on the sandwich we ate ours with a fork. Their homemade lemonade and root beer was delicious. We spoke with some of the staff in the the gift shop about local recommended places to go for local goods. They were very knowledgeable & helpful. They recommended: a few markets in the area. We would love to go back someday and do one or both more extended tours where you spend biggest part of a day on an actual farm and another where you have a meal with them. Reminder: when going through country on bus tour or in general of Amish country - try to have cash as not every place will take credit cards —- most only take cash. Go enjoy as much as we did.

It was interesting to get acquainted with the living environment of the Amish people and get to know their living area.
Especially since the guide knew that world from the inside.

The actual tour on the bus was good we did 2 stops but you weren’t there very long about 20 minutes each stop. The farmhouse tour is very boring and jack does not keep you engaged. My party of 5 left after 10 minutes of him talking. The farm is just OK so many people going through there the animals don’t care that you are there. It would actually have been better to meet some amish and been able to talk to them and ask questions. You drive by the homes so quickly you don’t get to see much. The only interaction we had with actually amish folks was the kids that run the stores you stop at.

Fun tour. Our tour guide Tim was great and funny. No dull moments on our bus tour. Learned a lot about the Amish Country and their tradition. Worth every penny.

Very interesting, first you take a tour with a small bus in the areas inhabited by the Amish with 2 stops, including one at a farm where they sell various products and you can exchange a few words with the women who welcome you, our Guide was very nice and helpful. Then you visit an old house that is now no longer inhabited but gives you the chance to get a taste of Amish life, accompanied by a prepared Guide and there is the possibility to have the information written in several languages. The exterior is interesting but looks much more “fake” than the rest of the house. Not being able to enter a real house I found this tour pleasant and Recommendation.

What a wonderful way to learn about the Amish. My husband and I hadn't done this tour since we were kids. We hosted friends from Texas and had a lovely day. Debbie was great as our driver explaining things and taking us to interesting sites.
While Harry our house guide was knowledgeable his delivery (overly excited, shouting at times) could be off putting. The farm was an added treat to explore after the tour.

It was great! The tour guide/bus driver was very informative and friendly.
We made a few good spots and I took lots of pictures.
We went to three small Amish markets. It's great for family or if you're like me, a solo traveler.
The only thing that's a con is the size of the bus seats. Especially when you consider that obesity is winning this country, the seats are not made for that.

The advertisement picture is misleading. I was expecting a horse-cart ride at some point in the tour. It was a bus tour. But the tour guide (I forgot her name - she is a school teacher, I heard), was excellent in explaining the life-style of the Amish. I do not feel comfortable suggesting this tour to anyone.

We had Cindy as our tour guide driving through Amish Country, she was great! She was very knowledgeable and really seemed to enjoy her job, making it very pleasant. I wish we had more time at the stops along the way. It was all so wonderful. We had a 10 and 14 year old with us, and they were both very engaged and interested in the tour the whole time. Would recommend this tour for a unique cultural experience.

Deb was our 90 minute bus tour guide and she was wonderful and so knowledgeable! We learned so much and loved the two stops during the tour.

The bus tour was amazing. The guide was very knowledgeable of the Amish culture and took great care to make sure the people on the tour understood the customs and culture. He also stressed that their beliefs be respected on the tour. We had a stop at an Amish grocery store that had amazing fresh pretzels and huge variety of ice cream and baked good. The house and farm tour completed the experience and added a lot of knowledge. I would definitely recommend the experience.
Tim is an excellent knowledgeable presenter. Friendly, fun, personable. He explained all the aspects of Amish life and took us on a tour of the Amish Farmhouse and the countryside. A most enjoyable afternoon.
