I did not enjoy this as much the artsy shopping areas. Would be fun with small children.

The water show was fun to watch. Paula deans was awesome

Fun For All Ages

By Valerie M |

We spent an entire day on The Island - including going to the Pirate's Voyage Dinner Show. There are rides for all ages, the view from the Skywheel is impressive, and there are many interesting shops.

Great place

By Bullmastiffmom2max |

Overall nice, easy going place to sit and take in the sites. Nice variety of shops, restaurants and rides. Pricey and some food places add on a resort fee charge. Loved the dancing fountains and many places to sit and relax. Very clean grounds and beautiful landscaping

Meh

By travellintheusa |

SKY FLY was excellent experience at a good price. Ferris Wheel was expensive but enjoyable. Junky souvenir stores were disappointing.

Bee store and Cookies

By LetsGoCruise |

The Island is attached to the Margaritaville Resort. Lots of little shops. Visit the Bee Store! And the Cookie store! Both well worth it.

Fun place

By picklilly |

Fun place to go. Attractions for kids and shops. Not just nachos was great place to eat. AND 7D theater is great loved the westerns game best. And Sky Fly was good. And the water show is great

Because I think of islands when I’m in the mountains

By Scott T |

It’s a money trap tourist shopping thing. Ya walk around and ya can buy stuff. My favorite part is you can sit in a chair and watch the fountains and big trashy women whack their kids with flip flops. The people watching will boost your self confidence.

Lots to do.

By Jill A |

Lots to do here. The wrist band gets you unlimited rides (be aware that not all rides are included in this). My son doesn't live rides so he did the challenge clim course- it was worth the money. We paid to do the 7D shooting ride - super fun! We also did the bumper cars. That was kind of spendy but they were fun for even the adults. They had music which was fun.

Rides Closed without notice

By Bob |

There are several decent restaurants and shops. The area is clean. Parking is free. However 3 of the 12 rides were closed but there was no indication of that when you purchase your ride wrist bands (at full price). I inquired why that is the case, and was simply told there are other rides open and the manager, Courtney, does not want to post the closures. That seems misleading to the customer.

Would definitely go back

By Kristijustice |

So much to see and do! From rides for little kids to a Ferris wheel for the whole family. High rope courses and many shops to browse

Too many people in October.

By Michelle S |

Over priced and overcrowded. October is a beautiful time of year in the Smoky Mountains, but it brings visitors by the bunches. If you don’t like crowds don’t come during color season.

Must go!

By Angelize1999 |

We visited the Island twice during our stay to the area. Shops were nice to wander through. Loved the water shows! Definitely see at night if you are able to. Had lunch at Paula Dean's and got some ice cream at the shop by the water. The team was a great touch! Can't wait to visit again.

Great place to visit in Pigeon Forge.

By Janna H |

The island is a nice area. Cute shops and good food. We recommend the wheel (ride both day and night). Clean and family friendly.

Great Hotel

By Matty |

Awesome place to visit. Stayed at the Margaritaville Hotel. Very nice hotel, great staff and the Bar/Food "Fin" is very good. So easy and convenient staying there, walk anytime and visit all the restaurants and stores in the square area.

Nice but lots of walking.

By Roger B |

The walk from the parking lot to the Island is long! We didn’t see the tram running. The shops were nice, lots to look at. We rode the Ferris Wheel, I thought the ride was short for the price. The water fountain show was good. We did find out that the trolley ran to the parking lot which was better.

Great Option During Christmas Time

By Orchid3758 |

We went during Winterfest and the Christmas lights and decorations were wonderful. Decent shopping options just keep in mind target group are tourist. The Skywheel was amazing and the views from the top were beautiful. There was also a Walk of Lights river walk that is a mile long. Perfect outing for families to see Christmas lights for free. You can even take your puppy as long as they are on a leash and have good socialization. There are a lot of people and sometimes during walk, it was crowded with everyone walking close together.

By Lynn G |

The island is very big and they a lot of stuff to do. From kids to adults. We love the light show at night time.

We actually had teenagers and a 5 year-old & a 7 year old. Wish we had known you could come for $40 for 2 days unlimited

By Maysmosaics |

This place is fun for all ages. Numerous good restaurants and other activities. Tons of rides. $40 for two days. Unlimited rides.

Waterfall

By bobrussell2023 |

Anyone who goes to Pigeon Forge needs to go to the Island. Best fun you can have and a lot you can do and see.

You're on the Island!

By Bette45 |

So many shops and so many things to do. Fun carnival-type rides for the family.
Tasty restaurants too! Paula Dean's place was yummy but expensive.
We enjoy going in the early evening and sitting in the lounge chair rockers that are around the fountain and watching the fountain show every 30 min. It's very relaxing.
It's worth a quick visit when you come to Pigeon Forge.

Great outdoor shopping area with cute shoppes

By jennymacfuq |

The Island is a favorite of our family. We like the variety of shoppes and restaurants. The rocking chairs and fountain make a great place to take a break and enjoy the outdoors.

Entertaining Shopping Center

By Evil_E207 |

The Island is a fun way to spend a little time with its combination of shops, restaurants, and theme park style attractions. While the kids didn't care for the rides, they did love going in and out of the shops. A family favorite was the shop with the old-style candy that I haven't seen since my youth.

Nearly All-Inclusive Island

By Dr_Xaos |

A varity of different shops and restaurants available. There's rides, games, and other activites as well. Pleasant resting areas available, which include a large and scenic fountain. Most everything is kept clean and well-maintained.

Area does tend to get crowded and busy with everyone coming and going.

The place to be in Pigeon Forge TN.

By Douglas |

The place to be in Pigeon Forge. Restaurants, Hotels, Amusements, and Shops and more Shops. Due to our schedule we visited at night and things were still going strong.

Great Place!!

By LindaM173 |

My husband and I went to The Island during our family vacation. We loved the water fountain display (especially at night). We went on the Soaring Ride twice and rode the ferris wheel. We are in our 70s and had a good time there.

Amazing time!

By Savannah C |

Great shopping, great food/snacks, kind people, and fun rides! Such a relaxing way to spend a day with your spouse/family!

Relax, enjoy and Visit the Island

By burnsquarterhorses |

First time to the Island. What a relaxing way to spend the day. We had so much fun. Walked and shopped. Played the Arcade, wow we had a super time here. Wine tasting, and Popcorn tasting.
The ambience of the Island is amazing. So much fun, we played the arcade for hours.

Great experience!

By Sam&sande |

We loved it here again! Always fun so much to do ! Favorite restaurant is timberwood. Love the rope course it was so fun ! The water fountain show is cool !

DO NOT BUY FROM E&R vendor

By Amanda W |

The Island is a wonderful place. So much fun withe the dancing fountains, rides etc...

However, be on the look out for a vendor there, called E&R Gifts. They sell toys and the light up balloons. The first 2 balloons I purchased fell apart with me just carrying them, but the vendor said he was not responsible for damage to them, which there was nine except for the battery pack falling out causing the light string to come undone. He ended up giving 2 replacements. We took them back to our room laid them on a table and this morning the grandkids was carrying them around (not banging them or swinging them, just simply carrying them watching the lights. One the battery pack came completely off, and the other the string came undone again. I would also like to point out while we were leaving the island we saw a minimum of 4 kids with those balloons broken.

Lots To Do. Something for all ages

By Jill H |

Visited here with my four year old grandson. He enjoyed the Ferris wheel and checking out all of the dinosaurs displayed throughout the area. The parking lot is big. There is a trolley and tram that runs from the parking lot to the island but it was a long wait - I think there was only one trolley running at the time. Lots of fun stores, an arcade, rides and other things to do. Plenty of restaurants but we didn’t eat at any of them. Fun place to spend a few hours

Amazing place to stay at and it does have hotels!

By Axl |

The island is one of my favorite places in pigeon Forge amazing food shops and rides and we loved it! I recommend especially margaritaville

Long walk if trolly is too busy. Was crowded on a summer day.

By Gary T |

Mostly jjust a mall like any where. Lots of small stores, if you like to shop, then its a good place, if you just looking for something to do, then not as good. Parking lot was quite a long ways away and the line for the trolly was long so wound up having to walk. Fortunately once inside there are quite a few benches and places to rest.

Shopping at the Island

By Stunner81 |

My family and I went here a few times throughout the week. We visited most of the stores and rode the rides. Loved the Skyfly ride and the ropes course. You'll want to spend a few hours here shopping and riding rides.

You will love the food and fun - a must see

By OnAir29007772754 |

Wonderful restaurants and shopping. Tons of fun. Rides and adventures. Delicious ice cream. There is a flying ride and a Ferris wheel.

Must see free water fountain show

By beachcomber36 |

Free to visit, parking with shuttles to drop you off. Lots of shops and restaurants to go to. Fun rides for the kids. Our favorite activity was to sit in the rocking chairs at the fountain and watch the free water show put to music. Also, sometimes you can catch live music at the Ole Smokey Distillery. Always crowded, so be prepared for that. Clean bathrooms for the public available.

So much to do!

By sis803 |

We stayed right behind The Island and walked over every night. Cute shops and some really good food. The musical fountain is mesmerizing for kids and adults! The Ferris wheel is beautiful—every ride you see something different!

Arsenio is an awesome ride attendant

By Layla F |

we rode the drop tower and Arsenio made the ride fun and was really nice and friendly and will definitely come back

Must Visit

By BobG |

Fantastic place! Shopping, eating, drinking, fun that does not stop. Grandkids loved it. Ate lunch at Timberwood Grill and the menu and food was great.

Fun times at the Island

By Joseph B |

Had a good time here. My daughter really enjoyed the rides. My only real complaint is the parking lot layout.

Tropical paradise in Tennessee

By Melissa W |

Super fun location, in the middle of all the entertainment. I wouldn’t stay at any other hotel if I was going to this area. Walking distance to fun. Clean hotel with a great theme.

Island in Pigeon Forge

By linda r |

This is easy to get to and free parking with the tram taking you into the park entrance. The water show is beautiful. We rode the wheel and saw fantastic views of the mountains and Pigeon Forge, Many rides for the children. We are seniors so didn't have children with us.

Not for me

By KnoxTravler |

In my opinion it isn’t worth it. There are so many cool kitschy places in the area to visit. The Island is very contrived and a little too cheesy. It seems like a commercial for all things Margaritaville.

Beautiful wonderland

By Angie M |

The island was lit up for the holiday season, Paula Dean was there! She was in her restaurant and did the dedication and tree lighting . The island is always a fun place to visit, they add more things to do each time we visit

Great fountains

By Brenda K |

There is so much to do and to see. Parking is close-by and they provide a very comfortable shuttle.
The fountain is a must-see.

Security

By Anonymous |

Lack of security for the amount of people and people walking around drinking and some are armed there was no security on site and that’s not good

Fun

By Wanderer35798442840 |

Fun, make sure to experience a flight at Ole Smokey Moonshine after lunch at Paula Deans. Lots of unique shopping and when your tired, relax by the fountain/light show.

Great afternoon activity

By Jamieky2 |

We had lunch at the Grill and Chill at the Margaritaville Resort, then rode the Mountain Wheel, and then shopped. A very pleasant afternoon.

Scammed for $40

By Voyager62295562796 |

We bought two wristbands for our children. We gave the cashier Becky $40 too much money. We told her that we had given her too much money so the manager came to check the till. The extra $40 was not in the till which means that the money somehow “disappeared”. We got a refund and went home.

Great time

By hr1487 |

We had a great time at The Island. The wheel is roughly 16-18 bucks per rider (find a coupon locally to save $2) and each ride is $6. It made perfect sense to buy the wristband for the kids at $38 as it included both rides and the wheel. The value was met after just a few rides plus the wristband was good for 48 hours! There is a "resort fee" associated with some of the restaurants. The boys rode the Dance 360 thing repeatedly. Theres a small roller coaster, a drop tower, a scramble ride (that wasn't working) and some other smaller kid rides. Theres also a trampoline area and a zipline (the zipline is additional).

As stated - we had a great time at The Island and for the price (and the fact that you have 48 hours of use) we'd go back when in Pigeon Forge to kill some time.

Nightmare at The Island 🏝️👎

By Jeff K |

I took my family there yesterday and it’s a pretty nice clean place with lots to see and do. So much to do the parking is not ideal. Parking is way off site across the River but they have trolley service. The trolleys weren’t running less than 30 or 40 minutes apart so we had to walk a lot yesterday. Then our kids got separated, networks and WiFi DID NOT work. Nightmare!!!!!

The Island - A nice voyage

By M. SPROLES |

The Island overall is a decent place to visit. We visit each time we are in Pigeon Forge. It is a bit pricy. Nice shops and entertainment.

Better then I remember for kids

By Ben M |

When I first went to the island with my wife, we loved the feel it had for adults, now that we have young kids, we returned again due to the dinosaur scavenger hunt on sight (which my son 4 year old loved). I felt there was a lot more there and more kid friendly then before. This will probably be a return for us when we head to the smokies.

Must experience this place!

By Elaine M |

This is the best place we visited when we were in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. Nice and clean and spacious.

Fairly new, and lots to do! Restaurants, shops, rides, etc. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Wheelchair users with companions have no restrooms

By karenannlykins |

We visited for years but now my husband cannot use the toilet without assistance. There are no family restrooms. The “accessible ones” are small squares that do not accommodate a wheelchair and a companion. After trying to find and fit in different ones first an hour, we had to resort to leaving the door wide open to get him on and off toilet. No way to go with dignity. We wanted to stay and eat and shop, but we were exhausted and left. Do better.

Must Do!

By DFam4 |

We had a great time here. Parking is free, with a free shuttle. There is so much to do and see / shop. Spend most of the day here and walked over to the pirates voyage dinner show. Listened to the Bluegrass band outside of Ole Smoky. All around great time!

Great guestbservices

By James L |

I want to get Tameka 5 stars for guest services. The ropes course had an hearing impair guest. The entire staff did an awesome communicating with he. But Tomeka used her talent of America Sign Language to clarify rules with him. He entered the course with a smile and exited the course with a smile.

The Island Pigeon Forge

By Jose D |

Spectacular place with gastronomic variety, distilleries, shops, games, hotel, attractions in a family atmosphere for all ages and different tastes. 100% recommended, surrounded by river and nature.

Something for everyone

By Charlie |

The island is a nice place that has something for everyone centralized in one place that is not to crowded. You do have to walk a little ways from the parking area or wait on a trolley. You can roll in an drop off if need be also which we did not realize.

Breaking a longstanding tradition to try something different.

By Tim H |

My family had a wonderful time doing everything that was available: walking the shops, watching the water show, and even riding the roller coaster rides and the big wheel. My boys and I definitely want to give a big shout out to Jesse, the roller coaster operator, who was super professional, fun, and very caring that everyone felt like they belonged and fitted in and was such an encouragement to not only my boys but to the others who were afraid. He showed them that they too could enjoy it without having the fear by asking everyone to put their hands up and encouraging the ones that were afraid to just have fun.

Another great place to visit!

By wpv3 |

This was my second time on the island and had a good experience, attractions were fun, the food was good, plenty of shops for every taste.

it’s a Beautiful day!!!

By Evanescene Binocular |

First timers! It was a perfect weather, we enjoyed every store with unique stuff. Would love to go back!

Outdoor mall, basically.

By Christina G |

Outdoor mall with touristy eating and a small carnival for a few kids rides in back.

There is also a Sky Fly ride which was quite fun. Like Soarin at Disneyworld.

Great relaxation

By Charles F |

Tons of shopping, which the ladies enjoyed. Peaceful water show with music. Several places to eat with different variety.

This is new to us since we were in PF last.

By Vicki H |

This is a very neat place with little shops. They have a water fountain that they play music to. There are big dinosaurs at different areas of the park. It is a great place to visit and to relax.

A Must do when in Pigeon Forge.

By Linda B |

There is so much to do when visiting Pigeon Forge. The Island has great parking (free) and lots to see and do. The huge Ferris wheel and a must do! Great for all ages!

Worth checking out

By LoriACanton |

A really cool place to find fun, shopping, and food. It’s a bit pricey, so plan to spend a little money.
Lots of great shops to find unique items. We LOVED the “Made in the America” shop with all the photos of men/women in the military on the walls.
The cotton candy was sooo good and the folks in that little shop were super friendly and we enjoyed hanging out with them for a couple minutes.

The WHEEL was great!

The Island was walking distance from our hotel and it was awesome.

Cute Outdoor Mall Area

By Chris |

One of the big issues with Pigeon Forge is that it’s not very walkable and everything is in strip malls all over the city. The island is the exception to that, it is a large outside shopping area with little shops as well as multiple restaurants, distilleries and carnival food. Currently it also has multiple animatronic dinosaurs throughout the park which kids love. In the middle of the island is also a set of fountains which spray with music like a smaller version of the Bellagio fountain. Many of the shops here are also found in Gatlinburg so you don’t have to make a trip and pay for parking to go there.

The island is ok for a one and done

By Gaye L |

It’s a nice area. Clean and there are a variety of shops and places to eat. I would not need to go again it’s a once and done place.

Fun for everyone

By Lindsey E |

We love going to the island. There are a ton of fun shops, but also a lot of great activities and live music!

We visited a few shops and my daughter and I did the ropes course. We paid for tickets online and didn’t see the jump option at all so we were disappointed we didn’t get to do the jump at the end. (If you’re going to be riding rides, get the wrist band that allows you all day unlimited rides - we didn’t know this existed until after we paid for the ropes and sky wheel).

We also did the sky wheel at night which is the best! You can see everything lit up and it’s gorgeous!

Timberwood Grill was a nice place for lunch as well.

All in all, this is a beautiful area and you could definitely spend the day here.

Arsenio is a awesome ride attendant

By Aleia G |

We rode the drop tower and Arsenio was very nice and respectful and made the ride interesting will definitely be back

Island Bliss

By Crush |

If you need a place to hang out, go shopping, climb high, eat good food, take selfies, ride a ferris wheel, have a drink with friends(coffee or alcohol), plus free parking and shuttle all while enjoying an outdoor water & light show--make The Island a part of your day. In fact, you may need the day.
I truly enjoyed the concept of this social setting.
The multi level "Margaritaville" hotel was so cute and colorful. Some of the rooms were located along the river. The balconies were decorated and there were plenty of small novelty stores on site. I sang the tunes as the light water show played on. I can't remember the restaurant where I had the best buffalo shrimp in my life but the cute huge bear will forever be in my memories. There is something for everyone in your party to do here. I stayed at the Holiday Inn on the lake and there was a walking path that led up to 'The Island', however I drove and free parked. Shuttle line was long so I decided to just walk the short distance with it's slight incline. The good part about this area is that it's leveled and easily walkable, stroller and wheelchair friendly.

Nice place to go with friends and family.

By Debbie_Collier |

Nice place to go and enjoy browsing in the little shops. I rode the ferris wheel and really enjoyed it. The fountain water show is very nice with the colored lights and synchronized to music. Easy to park at the public parking lot and take the free tram. We enjoyed the beautiful lights on the riverside walking trail and us a must do in December.

Good place to spend most of day or evening

By FamilyTripPlanner66 |

It right on trolley stop. You have sit down restaurant, lots of quick food places, several shop & fairs wheel for adults. Every food shops want to give sample. Almost to full to eat

Lots of family fun at a good price. Restaurants, candy and retail stores and plenty of seating outside to relax.

By Scott Morehead |

Nice tram ride when we arrived was much appreciated after walking all day. The dozens of unique shops were very nice. You must do the flying ride, after just doing Universal studios last summer this was a better quality ride. We had some sugar free ice cream and watched the dancing water fountain show with music. A great family place.

Customer service at its best.

By Betty Z |

My family and I went on vacation to Pigeon Forge to see the fall colors, and we were quite disappointed. Then we went to the Island and ran into Mark Thomas on Saturday at the trampoline jump. From the time my daughter showed her wristband to the time she left, Mark was very personal, friendly, and had an outstanding relationship with her. We could only wish that all the ride operators could be that friendly.
Thank you for a great time Mark.
Sincerely
The Zimmerman Family

Fun!

By Joe P |

Such a fun place to visit!! Something for everyone!! We we shopped, had drinks, nibbled on appetizers, rode the Ferris Wheel….and just people watched!!

Go here

By BMF70 |

Absolutely fabulous! Plenty to do rides, arcades, shops, quick foods, entertainment dinosaurs, water fountains big ol ferris wheel and good restaurants.

Crowded but vibrant

By C-town Mike |

It’s exactly what you would expect. Outdoor tourist/shopping area (like Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach)
It was SUPER crowded which gave it a FOMO vibe that added to the allure.
We left at 10:30 at night and there was a steady stream of people coming in.
If you don’t like crowds, stay away. Otherwise, it’s definitely worth your time.

Beautiful lights

By Roberson |

Beautiful at night
Great variety of stores to shop in. Might need more security with all the people. Need more seating around the fountain. Loved the light colors.

Bartender is 5-star

By Kayla |

Alexis was our bartender and she provided the best service. Her mix drink knowledge was top notch. Definitely would stay at the Ramsey again just to have her be our bartender.

Saint at the carousel

By Ryan B |

Erica at the carousel was amazing ! My baby was super upset because of a previous ride so he was
Very upset to do this one (his usual favorite) she saw this and became very patient with him and offered him another go so he could enjoy his favorite ride ! Thank you Erica ! -

Tourist Trap! Best thing is the Smoky Mt Wheel.

By Cathy H |

Definitely a tourist trap. Lots of people. We did ride the Smoky Mt Wheel and loved it. They have a water fountain show about every half hour timed to music and lights (especially at night). Lots of very expensive places to eat and to shop. Parking is pretty far away, but you can catch free trolley to the island, but be prepared to wait for it going and returning to parking lots. You can walk, but it is pretty far to walk especially for older folks. Probably a one-time thing for us. Plenty of other stuff in PF to do and spent money on if that is your thing.

Almost like Myrtle Beach in the mountains

By ManningAvenger |

Being here gives you a feel of being in Myrtle Beach, only you're surrounded by mountains, not the ocean. It has Margaritaville, which gives you a beach feel. We loved the fountain show, with the fountains dancing to music every half hour. Plenty of nice shops and restaurants to visit. And definitely don't miss the Smoky Mountain Wheel for great views.

Not pleasant

By Jen U |

Pigeon forge in general seems to be filled with thugs driving loud cars. We have been here many times, mostly staying in Gatlinburg but this visit seemed like I was in a different world. There were weird loud cars everywhere. It made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. I see the crime rate has gone up as well. We will be avoiding this area the future.

stopping the trams

By Mike B |

Went there for New Years eve 2023. I did not want to get caught in the traffic leaving after midnight so my wife and I decided to leave around 11pm. We went to the place to catch a tram back to our truck but were told they had stopped the trams and were not going to run them again until after midnight. I looked at my watch it was 10 minutes till 11pm. I have COPD, Asthma, emphysema , and a hip replacement. My wife had previously had both her ankles broken in a car wreck and asthma as well. I was parked all the way at the end of the parking lot more than a quarter of a mile and had to walk. Same thing happened last year but they did not stop the trams that early. There were lots of other elderly or disabled people having to walk too just because they stopped the trams. It was very inappropriate of them to stop the trams.

Wonderful time

By Amber F |

This is a wonderful place to visit while in pigeon forge. Rides for the whole family and the little shops were nice. Moonshine and wine tastings available. The dinosaurs throughout the Island were a nice addition and my 7 year old loved to look for them.

Good Times

By Mark B |

Great place to check out when you’re in the Smokies. Be sure to ride I think it’s called Skyfall. Totally awesome. The fountains in the huge pond are synchronized to music. Margaritaville, Paul’s Deens and a good steakhouse are there. Taste doom moonshine and shop. It’s all good.

A great venue for food, shopping, and fun.

By Brian U |

A great place for vacation shopping, eating good food, ice cream, rides, or simply relaxing in one of the dozens of rocking chairs overlooking the water fountains as they dance to country music. It is crowded so bring some patience but we enjoyed it.

Parking is a bit of a walk but it is free and worth it.

Very clean and Fun!!!

By Austin |

It is such a fun place! There are rides, restaurants, pools, arcades, and little shops. It is a great place for a vacation, it has a Margaritaville hotel there too. The hotel has a pool and hot tub on the roof and such a good view of mountains! If you’re a little bored and want to go someplace else go to the Smokey Mountains. The last time I was there I went to the Bible Museum it had bibles and much more stuff of God that was from 1800’s 1900’s I really enjoyed it and I think you will too!

Family Fun

By S803 |

Was a great visit with our 1 year old she enjoyed the water show and all of the stores plenty of great stores and activities for all ages

The Island .. The "go to" place to go to in Pigeon Forge.

By thebigdollop |

The Island is a great place do some shopping and along with ample eateries to choose from, it
is a great place to go "people watch" and just kick back and relax by the water fountains in the main Square...

Check this place out.

By Ontheroadtogether2 |

This was a nice place to visit. It reminded us of the old Downtown Disney before they ruined it and turned it into Disney Springs. Lots of cool little shops, couple of restaurants, rides for the kids. Rope course. Skyfly is a must (think Soarin' at Epcot...but different scenery). Lots of stuff for little ones to do.

Must See

By L R |

Thunderdome SCAM!!!!

By Gary |

Took the grandsons here. Rode a couple of rides and they were fun. The kids did the thunder dome which is a harness and trampoline combo. They didn’t give the children any instructions. Wanna know why? The guy in charge said the assistant didn’t speak a word of English. She strapped my 10 year old in too tight and hurt him. He tried to tell her and she couldn’t understand a word he said. NOT A WORD!!! If you’re going to be dealing with kids on a carnival type ride it is essential that you speak English. If there isn’t a law, there should be. They were in it Less than 3 minutes and they never offered a single explanation. The guy in charge was a total jerk and I told him it was a scam. If you go to the island with small children, avoid this ride. Just say no to this ripoff. My grandson is now injured. I’ll follow up if I pursue it further.

Great place for all ages

A fun place to visit and shop. There are some great stores, some rides for the kiddos (although most were closed, it was cold and Dec). The ferris wheel was running. Nicely decorated. The pond is pretty with a nice water show. Went to Ole Smokey for a tasting.

Great service!

By Chaney C |

Awsome service and great food! The guy at the clock work on the 8th was amazing! I loved the rides and it’s a must need to go!

Worth the time

By Kristin M |

We really enjoyed the water fountain show. The trolley system from the free parking area was really nice. Didn’t have to wait long at all. Lots of good shops and restaurants.

My kids loved the ropes couse, must try it

By Albedo G |

People in ropes are amazing, all of them are very kind and patient with the kids. They try to make everyone that go to the ropes course have a great time, specially Cristian and Domenica who helped my kids several times to go through the obstacles and make them have confidence to do the jump at the end, it was really a great time for my kids.

It was very average

By Khrys C |

It was just okay. It was a way for us to kill a couple hours at the end of the day before heading back to our hotel. Our boys played some games and we got some ice cream and walked around. We explored the stores but didn’t find anything we liked enough to purchase. It was right on the main strip, so it was convenient. There was a free shuttle from the parking lot to the Island. There were plenty of benches to take a rest.

Beautiful Places To Be

By HEATHER L |

The Sky ride can’t think of correct name was awesome we do every time we go there. Feels like you are in every scene even surprised with a spray of water going over a waterfall

Worth a stop in!

By jdah3 |

Fun energy. Clean. Something for everyone! Must experience at least once during your visit. We enjoyed ice cream and the Sky Ride. The initial ticket price for the sky ride was around $20, but go early and you can ride it again for $10 on the same day. Totally worth it!

We loved this place.

By Richard H |

This is a great place to visit, especially after the sun goes down, food and attractions. They have a moonshine store on-site.

People watching galore

By KrisMack |

Stores, food, rides, games and people watching galore. 3 main restaurants, candy shops, toy stores and trinket shops. Be prepared to spend some money when you come here. Great place to people watch, bring the babies (furry or human) to walk around in the open air. Watch the fountain "show", ride the big wheel, and grab a bite. Free parking with a shuttle running every few minutes. Best yet if you stay at Margaritaville, then you can watch from your balcony. But like I said be prepared to spend some money. Nothing is cheap or even reasonably priced. Great for people who have trouble walking as there are many benches or chairs as well as flat paved walk ways for wheelchairs, carts or strollers. most is shaded as well.

Ropes course on the island pigeon forge

By Britt |

Went to the island with my kids for the first time, they had a blast. They’ve never been on a ropes course before so we had to try it out. Dylan and Matt were very friendly and helpful. They were funny and made my daughter feel so safe about going up there. Definitely would recommend 10/10!

Parking is awful

By brownjeep |

I have never encountered a place where so many shops and restaurants were packed into one area, yet having to park SO FAR AWAY was not enjoyable..especially in the cold and blowing rain.

Fun

By W P |

The Island is a fun place to walk around and very pretty at night. There is a fountain show put to music every few minutes. There are lots of fun shops to explore. There is a trolley that takes you to and from the parking lot.

Impromptu stop

By Angela W |

This is a great place for families. My husband and I went after doing the early Dolly Stampede. This was not a planned visit. We had a good time walking around and visiting some of the shops. My only complaint is they had 1 tram running that was full.

Popping

By KRose |

Something going on everywhere. Lively fun place to be. Free tram from parking lot for those with mobility issues. The sky wheel was our fav $30 to go around 4 times best view at night we got there at dusk open til midnite in the summer. Lots of shops and shopping near Margaritaville hotel and restaurant. Live bluegrass music was phenomenal in front of ole smoky distillery. The music with the fountain lights was superb. Would definitely to back it was a good time with free admission and tram.

Date night

By Kpvb |

First time we’ve visited the Landing. It was a fun vibe on a Saturday night. Plenty of shops to check out. Restaurants all around offering different choices for everyone. The Ferris wheel is the centerpiece of the area and worth a ride at night. We ate, shopped and played like kids. So much fun. Highly recommend on the weekend nights. Plenty of free parking with free trolley shuttle service from parking lots. We will definitely be back next year!

Great New Restaurant

By Glenn |

The Cottage is a new addition to the Pigeon Forge area. They have a clean modern design with plenty of tables. We had Breakfast which consisted of Eggs benedict and a Ham & Cheese Omlete. The food was very good with portions bigger than normal. Our Waiter, Gregory was really nice and friendly and service was top notch! We will definitely return.

The Wheel

By The Travelers |

We go to The Island everytime we come to Gatlinburg. We love the shops, games, food, drinks and all around atmosphere...

Not a lot going on and overpriced ferris wheel ride

By Debbie S |

The problem ice if a ferris wheel ride was $18 - i felt that was super expensive - it is a nice ferris wheel (very smooth ride) by overpriced. Like the rest of the area - just tons of shops and places to eat (nothing super special)

Great deal

By Chelsa G |

As locals we found the rides to be a good deal. You get 2 days for $40 weeks had a good time all the staff was friendly. I would like to see more shaded areas around the rides for the parents. It was very hot I was worried about getting burnt. Probably wasn’t a good plan for a 90 degree day but we did have fun.

Family fun

By Sam P |

We ate at Paula Deen, rode the Ferris wheel, walked around in the shops, did “The Ruins” escape room, then toured the crime museum. So much to do and it was perfect for a rainy, cloudy day.

Fun must visit.

By Ken |

Great place to visit. At Christmas, the fountain lights and music work together and there is a great show. A lot of shops in this area. And the Christmas light walk is very close.

I love this place go here 🤠

By Axl |

I definitely recommend the island 🤠 we went to the restaurant Paula deans which I will review later but Paula deans is amazing I love it so how they sever the food like it comes out in big portions and you pick out the food you want but I really like it🤠🤠🤠🤠

Vacation Memories

By Ken W |

Tons of shops and eateries . We did Paula Deen . Fountain was beautiful along with a giant Ferris Wheel and other rides . We got a caricature while here . Fun awaits

fun destination for a girls trip

By coolbeans00 |

This was a girls trip and we had a great time. We walked around & perused all the shops. One of my friends got a wine slushie that she really enjoyed. The fountain was lovely and entertaining as it moved with the music.

4th of July at the Island

By Mindi A |

My family (of 13) came to the Island last week. I loved that there was plenty to do for each person. We had a great time.. I even got my afraid of heights brother on the Ferris Wheel!

Great place to visit with all ages! Must Do in Pigeon Forge!

By Multiplesmommy |

Had a great visit to the Island! Something for everyone! Some of our family rode the Ferris wheel and the kids loved the rope course. We also shopped at the boutiques and stores. I loved the monogram boutique and purchased several jewelry items with very reasonable pricing. There were lots of food option and treats. We will be making this a must do on our vacations to Pigeon Forge from now on!

Fun tourist trap area

By NW748 |

This is actually a pretty great little place to stop for a bit. Parking is free which is a perk and even has a little shuttle if you don’t want to walk from the parking lot. Several different restaurants, a hotel, lots of shops and even some rides. The rides here are a bit pricey but we ended up doing the Ferris wheel- it was $16.99 and they told us it only goes around 3 times, but we ended up going around 4 times so that was a bonus. It was pretty seeing the scenery from the wheel.

Great Fun Something for Everyone

By Rebecca |

We have visited the Island in Pigeon Forge several times. There is always plenty of free parking with a shuttle to catch and drop off. We usually walk from the parking lot because the shuttle can be a bit slow. There are several restaurants with prices comparable to any similar restaurants around the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area. The property is laid out well so even if it looks extremely crowded in the parking lot, it's not the same as you walk around. The restrooms were well maintained. Take time to go back in the evening-it's entertaining to sit around the dancing fountain and riding the Ferris wheel.

the water lights

By Brielle G |

the water light are the best part you can sit and watch them all night if you like to sit you will love it

Good Time

By Robert W |

Plenty of things to do. Good combination of rides, shops, and places to eat. We went with a four year old and he loved all of the kids rides. Would highly recommend getting some pizza/wings at the mellow mushroom.

Awesome nighttime destination

By UNCAlum13 |

There are lots of awesome shops and restaurants on the island. The water show is so much fun, but they need to do something about the gnats and mosquitos as they will eat you up. One of the best things to do In pigeon forge

I love this place

By Angela R |

Just returned from a great trip. Love the island shopping, the food, the games, and watching the water dance.
Something for everyone, from 1 to 100.
Beautiful job pigeon forge

Small amusement park

By terisa r |

Has a little of everything for everyone. Not to big and not to small. Love the Sino experience - love just walking around.

Great visit!

By Caroline S |

This mall is so nice. We enjoyed shopping and the water show. At night with the lights is beautiful. There are many shops to go to. They have a shuttle to get you to and from the mall.

Fun Island

By jamie v |

If you're the on who parks far away, don't take the trolley back to get your car. Too many stops. Stay for the colored fountain show in the evening but chairs go quick! Great shops, places to eat and rides.

Not good experience

By andy d |

Labor day weekend only on tram running told by operator we could walk they didn't have but one driver after waiting at tram stop for 20 minutes very disappointing

Something for Everyone!

By cebene |

There is so much to do at The Island. There's something for all ages. We enjoyed Skyfly, laser tag, shopping, and ice cream. The adults enjoyed the whiskey samples at Ole Smokey Distillery. There is so much to choose from: an Escape Room, Margaritaville, 7-D Interactive Experience, toy store, build your own RC car, carnival rides and so much more - you really can't go wrong to spend some time at The Island.

Our Favorite Thing in Pigeon Forge!

By Angela |

It is a requirement that we visit The Island every time we are in the area! There is so much to do. We love Byrds Cookies, the rides, the 7D ride, the toy store, the giant wheel, and of course we love the amazing fountain show. Lots of parking and shuttles which is nice. Everything is clean and the staff is (mostly) friendly.

Expect a crowd, especially at night.

By Sue S |

A great place to wander around at night time. Lots of interesting boutique shops. Visited when their fall decorations were out- very pretty. Good place to walk around after eating at one of the restaurants. Parking is a challenge so pack your patience.

Great Evening Around The Fountain

By Ben B |

Stayed at the Inn which is slight walking distance to the Island. Great evening walking around the area and visiting shops and eating/drinking establishments. Very pleasant atmosphere and very relaxing. Ended up at Dick's for a cocktail but be warned it is a different adult location, at least in the bar area.

Wonderful!

By meg |

We finished a long hot & exhausting day with a visit to the island. We were not disappointed but instead left humming and dancing a little! Our son got to enjoy some rides & we got to do the Ferris wheel as a family 🥰 then finished with the fountain show! Just wonderful!

Nice place

By Cecelia B |

Love going here! Like walking around and sitting watching the water fountain and the live music. It is a little expensive. You go to Pigeon Forge you need to take a lot of money. Over commercialized

So cool.

By Klarisa Striker |

The island is such a fun attraction area with cool rides. A little on the pricey side but you have to take into consideration this is a tourist attraction & you’re in an area where you may spend a little more while I do agree it would be nice if things were cheaper it’s nice that you have cool things to look @ & things to do if you’re willing to. We did the SkyFly: Soar America things last year & that was super cool as I have personally never did anything like that before.

Best Time!

By Borders24U |

My husband, mom and I visited a few days ago. This was probably one of the best places were visited. Love the dancing water, and the Ferris wheel. Enjoyed lunch and all of the shops. Would highly recommend going here. Wish we could have gone back in the evening to see the dancing water in lights.

Amazement

By Nevaeh B |

It was Aboustly amazing I had some much fun, the food was good and the employees were the best my favorite two employees were Johnathon and tune they were really nice and funny especially with each other. Other than that I had a great time here.

Amazing experience for kids and adults

By Rebecca S |

We spent our last day of vacation exploring the island and our daughter wanted to explore the AMAZING rope course. Due to family miscommunication my daughter completed the “jump” before she was done exploring the course. Joseph was able to let her back on to explore more and we are so thankful! He and the rest of the staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating.

We also had a blast at the smoky mountain moonshine company. Peyton was our bartender and she was so full of energy and personality.

Staff around the island was friendly, entire place was clean and well run. Wish we lived closer so we could visit more often.

Thank you for making our last day of vacation one to remember. We really appreciate it!

Great water fountain ⛲️

By Momof2boys |

Great water fountain show in comfortable rocking chairs that was completely free. Loved it. Free tram from parking area. Easy to get to fountain ⛲️

If you’re in the Pigeon Forge, TN area you need to check this place out.

By TL |

This a great place for the whole family. They have shopping, restaurants, dancing water fountain, rides and arcade for the kids, ropes courses and the huge Ferris wheel. The whole place was nicely decorated with holiday cheer. And there are tons of free parking adjacent to the main area. Recommended!

Loved

By Kathy T |

Loved the island. The grandkids had a blast and it was very relaxing. Something for everyone. Everyone was super nice. .

Lots of things to do

By Debbie46072 |

Fun for the whole family. Great experience. Night time is fantastic. Rides, shops, water fountain with music.

Money Pit (but in a good way?)

By ANR_78 |

We were in town for a multi-family, long weekend since Gatlinburg/PF is in the middle for most of the families. All of our kids range from 2 to 17 so this little money pit was a great way to spend an afternoon. We got the kids the bracelets as soon as we got there and let them ride the rides as much as they wanted. There is enough stuff to keep everyone busy for a half-day or so but the adults were ready to leave well before the kids. Since we had the bracelets we ended up leaving and then coming back for the night-time experience. All in all, it was a successful visit.

Still An Enjoyable Tourist Trap

By Jeramie |

The Island in Pigeon Forge is still an enjoyable tourist trap… I mean destination in the heart of Pigeon Forge. Yes, it’s consumerism at its finest but hey, you’re on vacation, right? There are plenty of shopping and activities to keep the family engaged for at least a few hours. If you’re old & grumpy, sit in a rocker & watch the fountains. If you’re young & ambitious, try the rope course or arcade. If you’re somewhere in between, do both!

So fun!

By Ray R |

I really love this place. Unique shops, fun atmosphere. Musical fountain, great options for food, rides. Great place to spend a few hours while in Pigeon Forge!

Don't miss out!

By Heidi B |

This was fantastic! Stores, restaurants, rides and more! Fantastic for couples and families! We plan to return next year.

A group of interesting shops, sights, and food

By Louie G |

This place is somewhere you'd definitely bring your family. Lots of interesting food, sights, gifts, attractions, arcades here.

I ate at the Paula Deen restaurant, which I recommend that you bring a friend.

Relaxing atmosphere & great service in a topical atmosphere

By Annie G |

First, we parked for free and took the tram to the Island for lunch at Margaritaville. Enjoyed the music & atmosphere. Waiter was really good. The cost was a bit pricey for typical pub style food. Had a nice little gift store. A photographer came to the table to shoot photos. We got a 4x6 free photo to take home with us. On a very hot day.... the a/c felt great inside to have lunch & relax. But my whisky size glass of a "toasted almond" (Kaluah & armeretta & milk) was ridiculous priced at $17.75 for 2 2 oz shots w/lots of ice.

WORTH YOUR TIME

By Anita |

A very busy area with lots to do and places to eat and shop! Very pretty at dark with lots of lights! Plus a huge parking lot thats free to park. 😁 we visited the first week of June 2024

No ferry needed for this island.

By Dale S |

Technically, it is an island in that it has water surrounding all sides. It has shops on it. Basically, outdoor mall. If you’re in Pigeon Forge stop by if you want to wander around and enjoy the outdoors, but don’t make it the center of your vacation.

Beautiful Scenery and a Great Family Setting

By Chuck T |

The Island in Pigeon Forge has something for everyone. We enjoyed the dancing fountain show and rode on the giant sky wheel. There are lots of shops and good places to eat. Parking is easy and free with shuttles if needed. Overall we found Pigeon Forge less busy than Gatlinburg with numerous great places to stay and dine. What a nice area for a family vacation!

Fun and exciting time with our family we will sure to be back agian

By Meander34099171686 |

Jen was amazing.she was good with the little ones. She made them laugh and they have a fantastic time we will be back again

Family friendly

By Juan-Daniel P |

Free to park and walk around and enjoy some dancing water to the music, I believe they have some live bands come on the weekends. They have family friendly rides and restaurants

Great family fun, something for all ages.

By Just_Keep_Traveling |

This place has so much to do for people of all ages. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because I think the prices are a little bit steep for the rides but otherwise the place has everything you can imagine to offer. Special shout out to Truman who was a ride operator. Super nice guy. Highly suggest this place.

Nice evening stop

By A & M Travels |

The island is a neat place with live entertainment, an amusement park, several restaurants, businesses (including an Ole Smokey Distillery), and a fountain show set to music and lights. Parking is free, you can walk or catch the tram. Around the fountain are rocking chairs for you to enjoy the show as well as rocking chairs at other places for you to enjoy the entertainment.

Excellent

By dworth602508 |

Love Dollywood.. Find all the staff friendly courteous.. Fast food not bad either. Recommend buying the sovernier cup as the have refill stations and is worth the cost. Brought season pass for 2022 and went at 4 times..

Awesome Area for all Ages

By Gus Shope |

Great place to take the entire family. Food and Shops and Games OH MY. Fountain was amazing and we will be back for more

Great place to spend a few hours

By annette t |

Very clean, only downfall is the distance to handicap parking. They do have a tram, though. A wide assortment of.venues to eat and shop.

Great family fun!

By Melanie S |

Lots for kids and adults a like! My child has autism and she was treated with kindness while there I would recommend to everyone!

Shopping

By Colin |

There is a lot to do. I would go in the morning when they open at 10 to avoid the crowds and parking issues. Lots of shops, moonshine tasting, restaurants and hotels. They do have rides for kids and families. There is also an arcade. Something different to do, but I wouldn’t say it’s a must see/do.

Go to eat, not to shop

By Carol P |

Had good restaurants and a wonderful distillery, but the shops were not as nice as I expected. Very typical tourist fare instead of anything boutique or original so that was disappointing

SUPER fun and nice shopping

By candg2017 |

This is the most fun place to let the kids free to ride rides and you go shopping. ALL FREE parking and free to — Just walk in like your walking down a street. NICE area.. for sure. Better than other places. I would definitely come thru here again. I dont how much the rides cost as im older.. been there done those. I liked the FREE walking in - kind of like a very small - Disneyland shopping area outside.

Fun for all

By deanie13 |

Five stars because this place has something for everyone -- rides for the kids, shopping, restaurants, ice cream, moonshine tasting, and best of all the water show and bluegrass music. Parking is free and there is a very cheerful, relaxed atmosphere here.

Best ever

By tonyabass777 |

Love the 🎶 musical water light show. First time and will be back. Relaxing and even my 15 year old son loved it.

Lots to do

By goldplace |

Lots of variety. Shopping, amusement rides, restaurants.. all in one place. Parking is a bit of a walk, but if you’re lucky you can catch a tram ride back & forth.

Touristy but still fun

By Keli S |

Parking can be a nightmare. Be sure to go early in the day or be prepared to battle crowds. There is a ton of stuff to do. Lots of
Shops for the whole family. It’s an average tourist trap. We didn’t have enough time to explore the whole area but we did enjoy what we did see.

Just okay for me....

By Michelle B |

We went to ride Fly Away. The ride was good. It was a little pricey. The island had a lot for smaller children to do. A bit like a carnival. Some shopping, not a lot. I just thought there would be more things to do.

Fountain show at night was nice for family

By Penny B |

Nice area to visit. Tram available for older members of our group but it’s so much faster to just walk there from parking lot. Saw the dinosaur exhibit but very hard to hear what’s being said which is ok. lol. The water fountain show is beautiful at night and great photo opportunity for a vacation photo. Stores are expensive but it’s to be expected. The bird place could make sooo much more money if they offered you a photo holding the birds for $10 instead of almost $50. Are you people for real?? If you e been to Myrtle Beach at Broadway .. this is same idea, same shops and restaurants, Margaritaville etc. was a nice place to walk around and take photos

Lots of choices

By Cici68 |

We went to the free parking lot and took the trolley over to explore some of the shops to start. We first stopped at Ole Smoky and it was super entertaining and fun. Next, I wanted to check out the new Bigfoot Harley Davidson, and though it looked great and had a good variety of shirts I didn’t see anything I just had to have. However, it will not stop me from looking again next year as the staff was great. We wondered down the corridors and found Parrot Mountain at the Island and after some coaxing my friend, again with that charm, was able to talk me into a photo with the birds. I was a mess, because I couldn’t stop laughing when they put some of them on our heads. That picture will never be seen in public. LOL After we double check to make sure the birds didn’t leave us with any souvenirs we continued down to Savannah Bee Company where we are suckers for tastings. They had both mead and honey tastings. I went low key and only tried the honey, which was delicious and actually picked up some to take home. My best friend ventured out and tried the mead, and she said it was good. We had a short seat in the rockers near the fountain to watch the show and giggled as a nearby toddler wiggled to the music. After all the tastings my friend really wanted to try the SkyFly. I am not sure this was the best choice, but she wasn’t feeling the tastings yet. I noticed they changed the adventure a little since my first visit. The flight has amazing views, and I did not find myself at all lightheaded this time. I think I had a better understanding, going in for a second time knowing what I was in store for.

Very cool little spot for all ages and to chill

By Carl H |

Whilst staying in Pigeon Forge for a 10 day trip from the UK we visited the island a couple of times and it was really good.

There's plenty to do there for those of all ages incl some small rides for the kids, the big wheel for the views and a moonshine experience for the adults.

There's a cool water feature show regularly and lots of shops to look around and buy various things from.

This really is a nice place and reminds me of a smaller version of Disney Springs in Florida and really is a cool place to chill.

Lots to do, will keep you busy for the afternoon

By Tia F |

Very touristy, but nice that everything is all in one spot. If you see something you like at one of the stores, chances are you will see it someplace else in town for a few bucks cheaper. Clean area, lots of sitting all around if need to sit and rest. The water show was cool. Paula Deans restaurant was amazing, and had a good time at ole smokey doing some tasting. Far walk if you park your car in the lot. Would I go back to this spot if I went down again, probably not, saw it once, that was good, so many other places to explore around the area, this was a good place for first time visiting though.

Great place for families to enjoy and spend time together.

By Robin G |

Really nice place to visit something to do for the whole family. The kids really loves all the lights and rides. A lot of different choices of food to eat.

Great place to vacation!!

By TONYA E |

Me and my daughter met a great guy named Jessie running the Dance Party 360 ride this morning and he was absolutely awesome!! He really knows how to make the rider feel comfortable and look forward to a fun riding experience!! Thanks Jessie!!

By Christine S |

Really good place to go for family fun and got food and other stuff to do place u can do put put go cart

Give it a Try

By Jody Z |

We decided to give this place a try and it was worth it. All the fun shops and foods. Our youngest did the ropes course and had the absolute best time. This is a family stop for all ages.

Easy Island

By blessed7_10 |

This area has a trolley car to get you to front of event, which was nice, especially when too hot to walk. It has the dinosaur animatronics which I thought was nice for the kiddies because they were throughout the park. The dinos had nice movement, sounds and placed all throughout park. Its free to enter but you pay for rides, food, games etc. There was a seating area around fountain and a few seating benches throughout area.

False charges

By blengel21 |

The offered us discount tickets. Then they offered add on tickets which were free. We just checked our credit card, and they billed us retail for the extra tickets. And we confirmed when we picked up the tickets that were were only paying for what we initially ordered. The place is a scam.

Kids had fun!

By Carolyn W |

Fun! But VERY EXPENSIVE! Indoor rides cost extra even if you bought the everything tickets! I don’t think it’s worth the cost!

Beautiful fountain

By Samantha B |

Omg the island rocks, make sure to stop here on your trip. Try some moonshine and enjoy the fountain. There are cool stores to shop at and some nice places to grab something to eat.

Summer vacation

By James C |

Clean relaxing place. Very accommodating. My grandson Liam loves this place, we have going there since it opened.
Liam loves Carla at the front desk.
He likes the ladies in the breakfast area too.

Fun, iconic spot, lots to do!

By Tarah B |

Very fun place to visit! Definitely a must-do on your visit through Pigeon Forge. There are amusement park type rides, as well as lots of shops and places to get snacks. There’s a beautiful fountain with rocking chairs. An evening here is very fun.

Tip- there is no designated parking so you just have to find a lot nearby and walk. Just a heads up, most parking is not free and I believe that we paid about $15 for the whole day.

GREAT

By Margretta Z |

This is a nice little spot, they have a tram to take you from parking to island every 15 minutes. There are rides, food and gift shops. Really enjoyed it.

Teenager friendly ride

By Ashley |

Jamie at 360 Dance Party was so much fun! My son said he needs a raise. :) The music was fun, he had everyone raise their hands in the air. It was all around laughs and fun.

By CHERYL L H |

Always a great time. Wide variety of stores, food, and family activities. The fountains to music are the best. A must if you are in Peigon Forge

Highly recommend

By Andrea W |

We loved this area! There are many stores, escape rooms, and restaurants. Parking is free with a shuttle. There are also tons of rocking chairs around the fountain so you can chill, watch the water show, and enjoy some ice cream.

Love the fountains

By Brenda K |

There are many shops/restaurants, but we go for the fountain show. Great place to walk around and enjoy the area. The fountain show runs on the hour and half hour and shouldn't be missed - especially after dark.
Free parking is close by with a free shuttle to make it convenient.

Ropes course

By Katelin A |

Had a great time! So thankful for Arsenia at the ropes course! Helped my little girl have a great experience! My son had a blast!!

The Island Pigeon Forge

By Darryl H |

We visited The Island on August 13th 2025.
It was a very nice area with lots of shopping, restaurants and a lot of entertainment especially with the dinosaurs all around the property.
We didn’t eat there but we did ride the Smoky Mountain Wheel. It was very relaxing.
I did purchase a few gifts for myself hehe
Unfortunately I can’t speak for any restaurants because we had dinner elsewhere

A little bit of everything

By Teri54 |

Lots of different kinds of stores. Several restaurants and attractions.
Margaritaville Hotel
Something for every age.

Must visit

By msgrum |

We always pay The Island a visit when on a trip to the area. Love the atmosphere and when there with the grandkids, enjoy that they have such fun on the rides.

Plenty to see and do and the perfect way to enhance your vacation, be it during the day or night!

Love this place

disappointed

By david t |

a good place for family with small children , has rides and shops and restaurants , and lots of places to get all kinds of sweat stuff(candy ,ice cream, etc.) , and the lighted fountain is relaxing place to site and listen to music.it was smaller than expected.

Islands in the Stream

By Ashley F |

Timberwood was good. My daughter liked the fountain show with Footloose. Beware of the free Ghost Pepper sauce samples. My other daughter loved the coupons and even left our waiter some as a tip.

Couple get away

The Island has a great variety of things to do for everyone. I enjoy the big Ferris wheel. You can see some beautiful Mountain View’s. The fountain is very relaxing to watch. They have a good variety of shops. While visiting the island , make sure you eat at Paula Deans restaurant. It will not disappoint.

It's a nice place to go for whole family .
And in the evening it's all lit up .there is a variety of food & attractions

Good

By Kevin P |

Very walk-able with lots of shops. Fun to do for a day but not sure about any more than that. Lots of kid rides and attractions which makes you feel like you are at the beach boardwalk.

It’s a shopping center with some rides

By Yaya Higgs |

There is plenty to see here and there’s something for everyone, but truly, this place is a big money grab. The passes to ride the attractions are expensive, and they don’t offer a senior or child discount. Super crowded, lots of people. It’s nice to have the tram to get you back out to the parking but it doesn’t seem to come by often. I don’t regret the time we spent here but I wouldn’t call it a “must do” for everyone.

Needs to be non smoking

By dcwoodsy2 |

This place would be perfect it it was non smoking. Apparently there is smoking areas but it is not inforced. Even outdoors it makes it hard for people with breathing problems.

Great family friendly area

By LaTasha G |

Great experience with a lot to do and see. We loved the fountain showing along with the music selections. Plenty of seating and plenty of rocking chairs.

Worth a visit

By Jordan |

We enjoyed our trip to the Island. Definitely don’t go here if you don’t want to spend any money shopping. There are so many unique shops that you don’t find too often, so it makes it hard to get away without spending money. That being said, we would definitely go back during our next trip to Pigeon Forge.

Go at the right time..

By Jackie R |

Lots to do there and lots of shopping. We tried to go on a Saturday night.
Pass.. it was so packed that we could not even get into the road to go. We went the next day during the week and it was so fun.

Definitely highly recommended.

By AanensonDLW |

Great attraction lots to do. There’s a little bit of restaurant shops and amusement rides. The Ferris wheel is definitely a must. The view is beautiful. The fountain is great even better at night. The food was great at Paula Deen‘s restaurant. Ole Smokies moonshine is great too. There’s something for everyone. Many great restaurant choices. Clean area.

One of our best memories

By Vanessa C |

We had no clue there was so much to do and so much to see, something for everyone, the place is so beautiful and well kept, we visited pretty much every shop and the kids enjoyed the rides, everyone was so nice

Family friendly trip!

By Laura V |

Awesome place for everyone!!! So many restaurants and stores and entertainment! Free parking and admission too! We had the best time!

We went both in the morning and at night!

By Sherry L |

Going in the morning was not as busy and we didn't even need to take the little tram. It was easy to cross streets and eat and watch the dancing fountain. We had 4 littles so this time was perfect - even went on a few kids' rides. However, going at night was a lot harder - harder to drive in and park, to get around - just much more crowded. Very pretty with all the lights, but too crowded to take 9 adults and 4 under 4 yrs.

A fun afternoon!

By Lisa W |

We went on a Wednesday and it wasn’t crowded. There is a shuttle bus that drives from the parking lot up to the main entrance which is nice on those hot days.

Lots of specialty shops to check out. We walked through several and the staff at every shop greeted us with a southern hospitable hello and were very friendly!

We went to Paula Deens for lunch and it was good; their menu had good variety and they serve their food family style. The service was great.

We rode the Sky Fly - it was a fun ride experience! The seats on the ride are somewhat tight for my bigger bootie but an attendant comes around to help fasten seatbelts correctly.

We rode the big Ferris wheel and the gondolas are air conditioned, which is nice! There was virtually no wait.

We also did a Moonshine tasting at Old Smokies - the barista was very entertaining and ended every phrase with a “Hell yeah” - which was funny.

Overall it’s a good way to spend an afternoon.

Jessie at the Island Amusement Park Rides

By Sidney D |

Jessie working the island rides and amusement park is awesome! Great customer service and very knowledgeable. We have had a great visit

A must go adventure!

By Rachael M |

My husband and I went for a small get away and this is the first stop that we went to! We did not want to leave. it for sure is a must see attraction! We went in the summer time and it was truly packed. I would say it would be a place to go when in the fall or spring, we had the best time ever

fun night

By michelletapley78 |

loved the Wheel!!! and the lighted fountain show. so many great places for kids. cute shops. tons of great food options.

The Island Fun and Relaxation!

By Darla F |

The Island is in the heart of the Parkway and is a great place for family fun or relaxation by the dancing waters while enjoying ice cream or your favorite treats. We enjoy the virtual indoor Fly Over America ride, which allows you to ride again for $9.99 but on the same day. There's also rides for the kids and an Alcatraz Museum with some interesting info and artifacts on the most notorious criminals in American history. Enjoy!

Lots to do!

By smiller324 |

The Island is a great place to visit on your trip to Pigeon Forge. We enjoyed walking around the different shops, riding the Mountain Wheel, enjoying some ice cream, and doing some shopping. We were glad we took an Uber to the area, as the parking lot was very full. I believe they offer a shuttle from the parking lot, which is nice. There is a lot to do and see (and eat) and truly something for everyone!

Family Fun

By SixtyOne |

A place that will definitely appeal families with younger children. There’s so many different activities to do. There’s plenty of free car parking available too.

Not great but it’s pretty cool!

By Mr. Eats out too much |

Lots of shops here, parking is a disaster though. Very crowded and hard to find a spot. Lots of shops pretty much like a outlet mall. Other than that it’s not that exciting. But worth checking out if you are looking to kill some time.

Emma at the thunder jump

By Brittney N |

Little girl had a blast at the thunder jump. Emma was a great employee! She was patient and kind, very helpful with a first time jumper.

Worst Nightmare

By Emily J |

If you like crowds of people walking around like sardines (we were there over the holiday break- so overcrowded), tourist traps, lines for days, and basically junk to spend your money on… this is your place. It was my worst nightmare. But I enjoy nature and would rather be in the mountains away from this nonsense.

Good time for all!

By jamsma |

First time visiting The Island. Parking was easy, and it was nice that they provide a tram from the parking lot to the ‘Island’. Many great things for kids and families to do. Loved the selection of stores and eateries. The corn dog I had at Not Just Nachos was the worst corn dog I have ever had in my life! It was stale and soggy. Needless to say, my husband and I enjoyed the water fountains and Ole Smoky Distillery shop as well as Byrd’s cookie store. Fantastic cookies! Will definitely go back to visit Margaritaville!

Beautiful walk

By lucianacordoba |

Excellent walk for the family, numerous attractions, shops and places to eat or drink. The dancing waters show is worth watching, everything decorated Christmas makes it even more beautiful!

Most enjoyed during the evening hours.

By Sunset92 |

It’s the Disney Springs of Pigeon Forge. The island has rides and attractions. A beautiful fountain in center. They have a musical water shows every hour on the hour. There are many shops and places to eat. You can drive. There’s plenty of parking in the back and a tram to bring you to the shops or you can take the trolley there.

So Many Shops, So Little Time!

By feenix21 |

We always have a blast here!
Be sure to take your time, and take the day, it’s an entire experience!
We took the time to try the skywheel and were happy to learn they offer a military discount. In the fall it’s beautiful to see the foliage and the lines are very short and the crowds are limited here.
Definitely wait around to see the fountain show if you get the chance - and don’t forget it lights up at night!
Shows are every 30 minutes and they’re gorgeous.

Lots to do!

By Wismickchick |

The Island is definitely a place to go if you want a variety of shopping, food choices, or kids activities. The parking is free and plentiful and they do have a tram that runs from the parking lot to the front entrance, however, it was an easy walk and we didn't want to wait for a tram. The dancing fountain show was set to music and played every 30 minutes, which my kids loved.
The only parts we didn't like is that we felt the rides/activities for kids got a bit pricey. We were also surprised that there weren't places to just walk up and get a drink. We saw one attached to the Margaritaville Hotel as we walked in, but there was nothing open (at least the day we were there) in the heart of the activities. Otherwise, the Island was a great place to go!

🎡✨ Everything you need in one magical place: The island pigeon forge is pure perfection!

By Vanessa |

The island in Pigeon Forge is simply magical - a complete destination that has absolutely everything you can imagine in one amazing place. It's perfect to visit with family, friends, as a couple, or even solo to relax and enjoy. What I love most is the incredible variety it offers. You can stroll through its unique shops and find everything: clothing, souvenirs, candy, delicious desserts, freshly brewed coffee, refreshing iced tea, and so many special little things that will give you the best memories.

The water fountain show is absolutely spectacular - watching them move perfectly synchronized with the rhythm of the music is a breathtaking experience. It's hypnotic and relaxing at the same time. The dining options are incredible, with restaurants for every taste offering delicious food. And if you're traveling with kids (or you're young at heart), the park attractions are perfect for the whole family - guaranteed fun for children and adults alike.

The atmosphere is simply perfect. You can spend hours walking around, exploring every corner, shopping, eating, and enjoying all the attractions. It's the kind of place where every visit is different because you always discover something new. The Island is definitely a must-stop in Pigeon Forge. It's more than a shopping center or amusement park - it's a complete experience that combines entertainment, dining, shopping and fun in a magical atmosphere that will make you want to come back again and again.

Awesome place but smoky mountain wheel picture opportunity is annoying.

By bdyrmy09 |

We love coming to the island for every vacation we take to the smoky mountains. About 3-4 times a year. They have tons of shops and places to eat. And a lot of rides that my daughter absolutely loves. We get the unlimited rides wristband most of the time we go on vacation. It’s an incredible deal if you factor in that the pass is good for 48 hours. We get it about 3-4 pm so if we buy it on a Monday it’s good til 3-4 pm on Wednesday. All the rides are included. Even the wheel which makes it defiantly worth the price. Cause it’s unlimited rides. This place is a must stop every time. Great fun for the whole family. The ONLY problem I have with the island is that when you get the unlimited rides wristband people are gonna want to ride the wheel multiple times like we do. We normally ride it 5-6 times during the 48 hours the passes are good for and it is soooo annoying and very unnecessary that they want to take your picture every single time you go to ride it cause you have to pass by the photo area to get to the ride. A much better system would be if the employees see a wristband to not ask people to take a pic cause chances are they already bought the picture or had their picture taken. If people has the actual paper ticket then ask them but for us people that buy the ride passes it is very frustrating to have to say we already done picture or we don’t want the picture cause we don’t want to buy it and I’m almost certain we ain’t the only people that feel this way. So a suggestion would be to look for wristband. People know that the picture is available. If they wanted to buy it then they could tell the person taking the picture they want to do it. It would not only save on frustration to the visitors but also save a lot of ink and paper by doing it. But besides that the island is a must visit on every trip. Hopefully the island really considers this and changes their process when it comes to the smoky mountain wheel.

A plesant couple of hours to eat, play, and shop

By 777MimiL |

Lots of little shops with nice restaurants. The Island is a pleasant opportunity to get a good meal and wander around for some gentle exercise before and/or after. Two of the restaurants we enjoy are Paula Deen's and Jimmy Buffet's. Sometimes we've had a long wait to get into these restaurants; other times, we've been seated immediately. Food, shopping, an arcade, Soar American, ... it's a good variety for a pleasant couple of hours. Also, staying close enough to walk to and from the Island lets us avoid traffic and parking concerns. An all around win.

Great 1 stop shop

By Brady M |

Lots of shops, great shows/music. We had 1 bad encounter here at the Toy Chest, toy store at 10am in the morning, the employee was rude and actually accused us of stealing because we walked in with a stroller and cross body bags. It was our first stop so I asked if they took cash, the worker asked me 3 questions after, instead of a simple yes, we accept cash, she was also the same person that asked with we got our bags or stroller from the store, (they sold strollers, but cheap strollers), the worker asked if we had every been to a store that didn’t take cash, because I asked if they took cash. I said this is our first shop we had been in since arriving. She asked how often we came to the area, I said it’s been 15 years since we came there, she then said well every store takes cash everywhere. Okay, a simple yes was all I needed. After that interaction, she acted like we were stealing our own bags and stroller that we brought into the store… outside of this 1 employee at this one store, this was a great place to stop at. The ole Smokey moonshine place was great, if you drink at all, I highly recommend. We went to build a bear and a couple other shops and had a great experience. There is a water foundation shop with plenty of seating. The beef jerky store, I went there for venison jerky and the worker seemed new and was complaining about his job and having to stand a lot (while sitting down). All in all, great place to stop at on vacation.

Very touristy, could be fun with kids

By Arstrazz |

We didn’t love our visit as it was incredibly crowded on Labor Day weekend, but there seemed to be a lot to do. Lots of shops and amusement rides along with a river walk along the large parking area. We wanted to ride the Ferris wheel, but it was $17 a person!

Fun shopping center

By Sarah V |

This was a nice shopping center with rides and plenty of restaurants. Our family went there a few times during our stay.

Something to do

By GenT29 |

Hotels, tourist shops, with amusement rides. Great food options. A bit overrated, but something to do. Pretty riverview.

Must visit

By MARY LUZ U |

Nice walk with many shops and restaurants and very beautiful decoration. The movement of the fountain to the rhythm of Rhapsody, Bohemia de Queen is amazing!!

The Island is a must visit.

By Hammy708 |

If you’re in the area you’ve gotta go. I’d highly recommend getting the unlimited ride pass(I think it’s $40). It’s good for 2 days and is well worth the money. It does NOT include the ropes course though. Tons of shops with multiple restaurants. Very easy to make a day of it. Parking is free but once crowded can be a bit of a walk. The trolley does shuttle you back and forth though.

I will add this. If someone at the information desk tries to rope you into a time share presentation don’t dismiss it. For $40 and 2 hours of time we got about $260 worth of tickets for other exhibits etc..

Jessie was great!

By Destiny W |

Jessie at the Lil Ribbit was so sweet! Very nice and friendly! Perhaps the nicest person that we have ever encountered at the Island!

Enjoy The Island experience in Pigeon Forge, TN!

By Kathy S |

This was so much fun for our 6 and 4 year old grandchildren! We bought the 48 hour pass. The rides were fun for the kiddos and adults alike. Because most of the rides required a responsible adult to ride with the kiddos, we rode for free! (Except for the Ferris Wheel. (Adults paid a fee for this) Lots of nice places to eat, shop and enjoy treats as well as live entertainment. The ropes course and giant Ferris wheel were favorites of the grands! The free tram from the parking lot was a nice bonus too.

Island Tiki souvenir store

By Karen C |

The Island itself was beautiful and had so many wonderful shops & things to do. We visited the Tiki store and had the pleasure of meeting Alexa who helped us with our purchases. She was very friendly and helpful. Thanks Alexa.

The island pigeon forges an amazing place to visit we had a wonderful time the kids loved the rides and the thunder dome Truman was amazing with how he helped my 2 year old was was crying at first and did not want to jump he helped and my son went to smiling and had fun

Enjoyed Browsing

By Treker650 |

Clean, friendly, convenient parking (no charge), good variety of stores. Even had kiddy rides for children.

It has it all - food, shops and rides

By Melissa C |

What doesn't this area not have! Children would have a field day with the rides ... plenty of restaurants and shops to eat and browse in ... its off the main road which was nice not dealing with traffic ... there are shows and water shows and places to sit and watch

Something for everyone

By Mickie M |

There is something for everyone at The Island. We went several times during our recent stay in Pigeon Forge for shopping, food, and rides with a group of 7 that aged from 4 to 60.

Dinosaurs - Not a fan

By subrice |

I’ve been to the Island many times and always enjoyed the wide variety of activities, food options, and shops. However, I am not a fan of the dinosaurs in the fountain. I understand the attraction to the kids and I enjoyed seeing them throughout the area, just not in the fountain. To me that distracted from the relaxation of watching the water.

Christmas at the island

By Josh E |

We rode the carousel at the Island and it was great and the staff member was amazing!! Love coming here at Christmas time

The Islands

By Carlbr1 |

There have been so many shops since the last time we were there. It is always a good time when we visit this place. You have to check out the Margaritaville shop. And Paula Dean shop as well. There is a restaurant above the store.

AWESOME FRONT DESK EMPLOYEES AND GREAT AREA.

By wolf |

The rooms were big and quiet. Pool was great and not that busy that you could not enjoy. The people at the front desk were EXCELLENT!!!! Only one problem and that was housekeeping only came once. (second time but that was around 7pm and didn't need her then.) But she missed out of $15! Informed front desk. But all was great and even a balcolny outside room with overhang incase it rained. Would recommend this place to anyone. Reasonable and excellent help on any quetions you have. Aleways wantd to help. Great location! by trolly and gave out information about the trollies and all. Was on third floor AND HAD WALK IN SHOWER WITH RAIN SHOWER AND BED AND TOILET WAS NOT, REPEAT NOT TOO HIGH THAT NEEDED A STEPPING STOOL GET IN!! Would recommend it for anyone!!

wonderful

By michelle |

the island is wonderful plenty of stuff to do for all ages. the staff was wonderful, one member his name was kaleb. he gave us so much information about the island. and showed us some awesome rides not to miss riding.

Meh

By EmilieMarie Slone T |

3 out 5. The Island is definitely a tourist trap with the catchy bland food and cliché shops with local advertising printed across the front. Great place to entertain families. The Best Part was getting some samples from Tennessee Stud Hard Cider. Otherwise, avoid at all cost.

Good, but needs more

By Holly Smith |

Very fun, but needs more stores targeted towards youth (babies-teens). While there are some, there are very few with not a huge selection. It’s also pretty pricey, while I understand that is the deal for tourist places, it’s still crazy expensive for some things. I do recommend going if you like carnival rides, shopping, and good eats.

Great water show!

By Pikasmom |

The water show at sunset is really beautiful, perfectly in sync with music. They have a lot of chairs around which was really nice. The shops are pretty good to browse but we ate at Paula Deens Kitchen, and it wasn’t worth the hype. It was mediocre at best.

Fun place

By Desihrea W |

Fun place for all ages, Night or day. Can get crowded. Lots of variety stores. Music, fountain show, food and adult drinks.

Must Visit the Island

By Karl W |

We always stop at the Island when we are here. Just a great place to relax, indulge and enjoy no matter what your age is. We really enjoy all the shops and drinks. Just a wonderfully fun place to spend time at day or night.

The Fountains are A+

By Laurel B |

Great place to walk around and see all the shops, waterfalls, and other photo ops. We really enjoy seeing the parrots, candy making, and especially the fountains that are full of color and sound. We enjoy rocking in the rocking chairs and watching and listening to this colorful show.

Great times had

By Kim C |

Had a great time here. Drank at landshark bar and grill. Very cool place. Shopped in Margaritaville store. Big store with cool stuff specially if you are a Jimmy Buffett fan. Had dinner at Paula Deens. Food was fabulous!!! Recommend for the Island for the whole family. Rides for the kids. Stores for the Moms and bars for the dads. Haha!

Walking the line

By Jeff S |

Rope Course - we’ve been to the Island dozens of times so it was nice to walk around the shops. The grandkids were with us do they wanted to do the Rope Course. It was like an obstacle course on ropes. Kind of confident booster. There’s different levels of different crossings to get from one side to the other, object is to get to the top where you have the option to bungy jump down to the ground level. Kids really enjoyed it.

Fun for Everyone

By Terik |

There is something for everyone at the Island. The dancing fountain is relaxing to sit and watch. All of the rides and especially the climbing tower had wishing I was a kid again. So much too see, do, eat and buy. It is pricey, but that is to be expected.

Not my kind of place

By screw you |

Where do I start, very popular tourist destination. Parking is a good 200 yards away from shopping area. This place is not handicapped friendly. Limited handicap parking and we know many of those really aren't legitimately disabled, but it takes away from those who truly are. But thanks to one of the information booths who advised us that we could pull our vehicle up in the loop by the hotel to pickup or discharge disable family members. Little to late. Not sure what the big draw is as they have shops that really aren't that appealing once you go in. Biggest draw is Ole Smoky Moonshine and Paula Dean's. Went into Ole Smoky they were packed but had limited staff to handle the tasting process. Asked about trying a particular flavor, no we're not highlighting that flavor, you'll have to buy it and try it. Still like the Ole Smoky downtown Gatlinburg. Not sure I'll recommend but to each their own.

You Have To Do It

By Jason G |

Everything is overpriced, but it’s a fun atmosphere. Even though the parking lot was seemingly crowded there wasn’t much of a wait for any of the activities. Certainly worth doing at least once.

Fun for all ages

By Deb S |

I really enjoyed the Island! It has a little something for everyone. You can shop, you can eat, drink and the kids can be merry! Lots of rides for children and adults. The distilleries are good and have a great selection. Several restaurants to choose from. Plenty of parking and a trolley picks you up at designated locations. Employees acted like they enjoyed their jobs!

Enjoyed time here. Better in the evening.

By auntronda |

This was our first time to The Island. Very crowded and hot during the day. Tween girls enjoyed the rides. The 48 hour unlimited arm bracelet was a good deal. We did this instead of Dollywood since the girls are not huge roller coaster fans. Gods variety of shops and food, but prices are amusement park prices. Would do this one again.

Can be a good time, but we won’t be back on the rides

By Reagan F |

The place was fun and there was a lot to do. We would highly recommended SkyFly!

But here is why we won’t be back. On one of the rides that flings you up and down and all around and some fast speeds, when you sit in the seat, you buckle between your legs and it can be a little difficult to snap. Our cart was missed being checked secure by BOTH attendants. The alarm went off telling us we were about to take off and there wasn’t time to stop it. As a result, I hung on to my daughter and prayed the whole time her latch was secure enough not to throw her. When I shared this with the attendant, she seemed unbothered. For the love of all that is good, get the processes in place to make sure everyone is checked and secure. This is how serious accidents happen!!

What a fun place to visit. Shoppes galore and such great eats!! The water show was very nice.. had a great day here..so many fun things to do. Great seating everywhere...

Cool at night

By krystin A |

Really cool at night the water and dinosaurs light up. Lots of little shops and restaurants to visit. Parking is a little confusing as you have to park a little bit of a walk away but not super far.

The Island at Pigeon Forge

By Lea L |

The Island has a lot of shops and sights to see. There are dinosaurs throughout where kids can see the different types. Small rides for your little ones. However, there are not many eating places so I would recommend packing a snack for your kids.

The island rides.

By Adam H |

Daughter been looking for a ride to turn her stomach. Got to talking to Jessie and he said man I got you he went above and beyond to get the job done. He got a response from her of that was gnarly. He was awesome cant ask for a better ride attendant.

Perfect Blend of Fun, Food, and Views — A Must-Do in Pigeon Forge!

By AdventuresLex |

The Island in Pigeon Forge is one of those rare places that truly has something for everyone. Whether you're traveling with family, as a couple, with friends, or even solo, this vibrant complex offers a full day of entertainment, dining, and relaxation in one walkable area.

We visited for the first time during a Smoky Mountains getaway and ended up spending way more time here than expected — in the best way! The whole space is beautifully laid out, clean, and well-managed. There’s upbeat music playing throughout, and the central show fountain area is a true gem, especially at night when the lights and water dance to music.

Don’t miss The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel — it’s iconic for a reason! I’m usually a little hesitant with heights, but the gondolas are completely enclosed and very stable. The views from the top are stunning, especially at sunset.

Another standout attraction was SkyFly: Soar America, which simulates flying over American landmarks. It’s surprisingly immersive and beautifully produced — great for adults and kids alike.

Dining options are excellent. We had a fantastic lunch at Timberwood Grill and later stopped for sweets at Cinnabon. You’ll also find Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen and Margaritaville here, plus plenty of snack and treat spots scattered around.

The shopping was far better than expected for a tourist destination. From boutique finds and toys to gourmet jerky and Ole Smoky Moonshine tastings with live music, there’s lots to explore.

Families will love the arcade, ropes course, and open spaces for kids to run and play. Plus, the complex is very stroller- and wheelchair-friendly.

Bonus: Free parking with a tram that takes you right to the center — super convenient!

We left with full bellies, great photos, and a few unique souvenirs. The Island is one of those attractions that’s more than just a stop — it’s an experience. Highly recommend adding it to your Pigeon Forge itinerary!

Very nice place

By shane s |

This place is like it's own little attraction! A lot of nice shops, restaurants, and rides. Stuff for adults and kids. Great view

Fun night out

By DreamCove |

second visit to the Island and had lots of fun. I would suggest the sky fly attraction - coupon book u get at the island has coupons and it was a fun activity for the family. Similar to Soarin at Disney.
Walked around for about 2 hours - live bands, kid rides, and of course the ferris wheel. Lots of dining and snack options.
Parking bit of a hassle and tram took forever so it’s quicker to walk. If u do take tram, just remember which section u parked in for when u return to lot.
Overall a fun evening activity but can definitely get crowded so prepare to be patient.

Okay, but some things need improved

By Jo B |

First off the smoking policy is not inforced in the park. People smoke where ever they please. There should be one designated place for smoking and not next to rides geared towards the younger children. I saw more than one group not put on their wristband and shared one wristband with four adults. You should not be allowed on the ride if your wristband is not on your wrist. Last, when the employee for the ride does not say anything as they are loading the ride, then they scan the children and tell the parents they have to wait for the next ride. Leaving younger children standing outside the rides so the parents then can ride is a big safety issue and your workers should be putting safety first. Particularly a female employee working the Clockwork at 8:00 pm on March 19, 2025. Safety was not her number one priority. I saw her split parents from children on more than one occasion on her shift this night. She did not say anything just opened the gate and started scanning, then stopped the parents and said no more. Unlike other employees who would ask how many were in your group she did not. Her communication skills are lacking.

Nice atmosphere, Good meal

By Randy S |

My wife and I love Longhorn restaurants; they are consistent in quality wherever we go to one. We love the atmosphere and we love the booths. I love the salmon and brussel sprouts and she loves the Renegade steak or the Parmesan crusted chicken. Really good meals. And, the service is always good, as it was at this restaurant. I would always recommend Longhorn restaurant.

Hell Island

By ANGELA I |

Where do I start. Beyond crowded. Not nearly enough parking. Only 1 tram running for 100,000 people. Everything was overpriced. Took 1.5 hour to get food at Margaritaville and traffic driving through all of these pedestrians with little direction. It was the wild, wild west. We spent 4 hours there and all we were able to do was eat some expensive, rubbery food. We couldn't leave fast enough. Save your money and sanity and go somewhere else.

Something for everyone

By Shaunda Peck |

There is so much to do there. It reminds me of an old mall. There are many shops. There are plenty of rides and attractions.

PF Must Do

By Hoosier812 |

A visit to “The Island” is a must do on every trip to Pigeon Forge. It’s a fun place to catch the fountain show, hit a few shops, play some games, eat a sweet treat or dine at several different restaurants. Grab a rocking chair and enjoy the area.

Nice place to spend a few hours shopping and relaxing.

The fountain show and rocking chairs were my favorite part. The shopping is decent with lots of options including cider, moonshine and wine tastings. There are also several food options. The downside is the cost of the Ferris wheel. I was really looking forward to riding the Ferris wheel at sunset but at $20 a person I didn’t feel like it was worth it. Nice way to spend a few hours though!

Wonderful memories

We loved the convenience of shopping with a variety of stores and relaxing in the rocking chairs watching the water show

Fountain Show

Went to check out the fountain show and it was great after dark. They had beautiful lights and great music. My only complaint is I wish it went on a little longer.

Vacation with friend

Great for families. Rides for children and adults. Skyfly was fantastic. Lots of shops and restaurants. If you go to Paula Deens bring your own container if you want your leftovers. They don’t have boxes. The food was good. If I pay for food I want my leftovers

Jesse @ 360 Dance Party Ride

We had a blast. Thanks Jesse for making my kiddos laugh! He will definitely make you have a good time. John John will always put his hands up lol.

So beautiful and so much to do.

Such a beautiful place! This was our first time there and we had a blast. We shopped, ate, rode the extremely large (almost terrifying) Farris wheel, watched the Christmas light show, and took a ton of beautiful pictures. We had 9 people in our family, all different ages, and there was something for everyone. We will definitely be going back every December.

Pigeon forge TN Island visit

By Al W |

We visited the Island on Halloween and enjoyed seeing some children and adults dressed in their costumes. A free tram from the parking lot is provided for those who don't want to or can't walk to the location. There are many different shopping stores to visit for souvenirs and food. Some can be somewhat pricey but still interesting merchandise. We enjoyed finding the various dinosaurs on display. All in all, we found this an enjoyable spot to visit.

The bird store was the most fun

By Roxanne M |

Went there to see the fountain. I wasn't super impressed. We were able to do little shopping. The bird store was fun. They will let you hold birds & take your picture.

It has it all!

Shopping,dining,rides….it has it all!
Every time we are in town we swing by to see what’s new👍 places to sit and relax. Plenty of spaces for families!

Sitting in a rocking chair just chilling out

By faithlavin |

When you arrive, park your car in the big lot and ride the shuttle over. It is fun to do some shopping, then grab yourself a nice drink and sit in the multitude of rocking chairs and relax and people watch and watch the neat water fountains which are time to music. Relax and enjoy!

A must stop on your trip to the smokies

By Jim D |

Lots of shopping and walking areas. It has a large variety of different food choices. Shops of all sorts makes this a great family stop. Located in the heart of Pigeon Forge Tenn.. nice fountain show at night with seating around the lake for a relaxing show nightly.

Ample parking, so much to do, eat, drink and enjoy. We went 3 times in our vacation week.

By psudino |

If you don't mind a long walk, there is plenty of parking. We went morning afternoon and evening and the parking lot is big enough to handle the crowds.

There is so much to do here. I think the highlight for my kids was the climbing ropes courses. They were also excited to go on a lot of the rides.

There are plenty of restaurants, shops and plenty of places to get drinks, because Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg requires a drink in hand at all times apparently.

There are some really cool shops including RideMakerz and an awesome puzzle store called Puzzled.

There is a reason it is so busy here, because there is so much to do!

Fun time at the Island

Always something fun to do a the Island. The kids will love the rides and the adults love the stores and food
Go see the water show too!

Fun For An Evening Out

By Allie D. |

My husband and I always enjoy coming here. There are lots of places to eat, stores to shop and yummy places for snacks and dessert. They also have rides, attractions and an arcade if you’re into those types of things. They have live music and fountains synchronized to music with chairs where you can sit and watch. If you or anyone in your family want to take part in the rides be sure and get the unlimited rides ticket for $40 or unlimited rides + ropes course for $50. Single tickets for rides are expensive so if you’re wanting to do a bunch of them, the unlimited ticket is the better option. If you don’t mind touristy things, this place is really fun but if you’re not into that, you probably won’t have a good time here. Also, the only reason I knocked off a star is because some of the people working the maps/information booths work for the Margaritaville Hotel I think and try to get you to come to a timeshare meeting. The girl we spoke with was pushy, as we told her probably 5-6 times that we weren’t interested. So be aware of that.

Great walking.

The nicest area in PF or Gatlinburg. New and attractive. It's just nice to walk around, especially at night. The attractions and shops not really that great. Paula Deen is a good place to eat and Margaritaville Resort is a good hotel to stay at. Parking is free and there is a shuttle--but it's better to stay on the island.

Great place for families

By Mike-Donna54 |

Loved all the little stores and restaurants. It’s an excellent place for families, filled with rides. Got some great souvenirs.

Great spot to visit

By Crystal E |

It's a fun spot for kids/young teens to experience. Some fun little rides, and ice cream with light/water shower in the evening. Great place to try Moonshine!

Wonderful to walk around and shop.

By Willam D |

This a quality shopping experience with a large selection of stores and items for purchase. It has an amusement park in the venue that is first class. There are musical fountains in the middle of the shopping center with numerous places to sit and enjoy the music and sunshine. We highly recommend visiting The Island. PS: Parking is free.

Love the island!

Had a blast visiting while in pigeon forge. Plenty of shopping & dining. Activities for adults & children. Fountain show is beautiful to watch. A must visit if your in pigeon forge!

The Island offers a variety of entertainment, shopping, dining options

By Sightsee47456 |

Every trip to this area, i have to spend some time at the Island. There are a few shops I must stop at. I like to do a Smoky Mountain moonshine tasting, and buy. They've added a hard cider shop, but sadly the Yee-Haw brewery is gone. I love the shopping, then a sit-down meal and re-charge at Margaritaville restaurant, Paula Deens or Timberlake Grill. Relaxing at the fountain, a ride in the Smoky Mountain Wheel complete my visit.
If you have kids, you easily spend a full day here, maybe 2 - there are rides, a climbing course and an arcade.

A little of everything in one place

By ExploringontheRoad |

Part amusement park, part shops, part food. You can browse the shops and sit at the fountain for free. Fountain pretty at night with colors and music. Some shops have earlier closing times, but the Island closes down at midnight.

There is free parking at the back and a shuttle that runs between the parking lot and a drop off location closer. We visited at night. Don't know if the shuttle runs less at night, but we waited for about 5 minutes for it to arrive and opted to walk over. We never saw a shuttle go over to where we were or running through during that time.

Great Place to Vacay

By Keno W |

Great atmosphere for the entire family August was a good time to go not much traffic. Kids enjoy themselves , restaurants are accessible no long lines. parking was great. If you want to enjoy a family time in pigeon forge Tennessee go late August mid September when school is back in

A MUST for any Smokies vacation

By Lkgraves |

I love to end each night of our vacation by walking over to watch the fountain show at the island, eat a snack of popcorn or ice cream and do a little shopping. It’s so relaxing with ample seating.
