10 of 854 Best Attractions in Las Vegas

Don't get me wrong there were many great things to see and the water show at the Bellagio hotel was brilliant. Every street you walked on the strip you could smell weed very strongly 🤮🤮 and there was a strange smell when walking around Vegas and didn't know what it was. Myself and my partner worked out it was the drains as they smelt bad when walking near. Las Vegas is better at night when everything is lit up. Would we go again? definitely not. Seen it done it and never again. If you're wanting a good pint of beer on draught forget it as it's flat over there 🍻🍻

It’s the strip! Construction for the race was ongoing, so getting places was much harder than usual. We were able to see the Tropicana before it was closed. I miss the “old” strip with the pirate ship, valcano and NO homeless people. They were everywhere, literally laying where you had to step over them.

The best of Las Vegas, walking this street from The Mirage to Mandalay. Be careful with the dates, October and November there are no fountains or volcano due to the installation of formula 1 stands

The main street of Vegas. Impossible not to pass by while visiting the city. On this avenue are the most famous hotels in the city.

All the glitz and glamour imaginable ! So much to see from Caesars Palace, New York New York and Bellagio’s. Just to walk the strip is exciting. A must visit.

We've been visiting Vegas for years and I honestly think the last few years it's cleaned up a little bit (emphasis on little). We usually go during the week so it's not quite so crowded. We do a lot of walking but also use The Deuce bus that travels up and down. Multi day passes are pretty cheap. I thought the buses were pretty clean this visit. We had one pleasant driver and the rest were grumpy and unhelpful. As for the strip itself, the nasty stink of people smoking marijuana is everywhere.

I visited the Sin City around 9 years ago, but this time brought my family. I wanted them to see the different theme hotels and see the fountain show at the Bellagio. The fountain show is as great and magnificent as it was when I saw it. The Strip was crowded as expected, but this time there was a lot more smell of weed and cigarette smoke. Walking the Strip is a must-do when at Vegas and there is a lot to see. We felt pretty safe the time we were out there and you definitely can get your steps in depending on what hotel you are staying at.

Hate the fact that everything revolves around casinos. Very difficult to move efficiently from one locale to another without being obligated to pass through a casino.
Food was overpriced, oversized, and mediocre at best.
Tram transportation was uncoordinated and generally took as much time as walking.

Visited this place on the 20th of May 2023. Lined with upscale casino hotels, the neon-soaked Strip is quintessential Las Vegas. As well as gambling floors, the vast hotel complexes house a variety of shops, restaurants (ranging from mainstream to high-end), and performance venues for music, comedy and circus-style acts. Attractions like the soaring, choreographed Fountains of Bellagio and the High Roller observation wheel draw crowds. About the history of this place The Strip was named by Los Angeles police officer and businessman Guy McAfee, after his hometown's Sunset Strip. It is about 4.2 miles long and sits immediately south of the Las Vegas city limits in Paradise and Winchester's unincorporated towns. It was on my bucket list for a long time and finally managed to see and stay there in the Bellagio for three nights in May 2023.

The entire 4-mile Strip on Las Vegas Boulevard is completely lined with upscale Hotels and Casinos. The bright neon lighting can be quite blinding at night. But other than Casinos, the Hotels are also Resorts and Venues for Live Performances – many of which sell out months ahead.
The architecture everywhere is modern and contemporary, and each Hotel is a unique landmark with mini versions of world-famous places replicated accurately to the minutest detail. Each and every hotel that you visit is worth the time that you spend exploring it.
During our several visits in the last few decades, we have traversed this Strip – from The Stratosphere on one end to the Mandalay Bay on the other. We have walked, taken the Tour Bus, and taken Uber to visit several venues.
An absolute “Must Visit” – at least once in your lifetime.

Main place of fun and visit in Las Vegas, lots to see and do, but like any main tourist place everything is very expensive but you can look for places that offer good and better prices.

No other place in the world pack so much entertainment on 1 strip. Each hotel is a destination in itself. Things to see and do, so many shows, peoplr watch, eating, shopping. A fun couple of days

Been many times before when I was younger with my children for vacation. We would stay on the strip but rented a car to venture to other places. This time around we didn't lodge on the strip. We visited in November of 2022 and went night. It's always beautiful with all the lights. We also ventured in and out of the hotel's to take a look at all the beautiful shops of which I can't afford and how extravagant the inside is decorated. At the time we went most had Christmas decorations and tree display's. Didn't feel safe this time around and oh so many homeless people everywhere. So sad that this is happening all over in a Country so rich.

Vegas is always fun, even when you don't gamble. Tons to see, great shopping, great golf courses. But it's best in the spring/ leading into summer and fall. Go when the hotels pools are all open and it's warm at night. You will have a blast!

Beautiful hotels and so much to see and do.
Many homeless people living on the strip and begging for money
Finding a place to sit down in the shade is almost impossible.
Free parking is available at Treasure Island

The Strip always in force...during the day and spectacular at night!
A must-see in Las Vegas, this boulevard that characterizes the area of leisure and fun in this city that never sleeps.
Enjoy Las Vegas because: LIFE...is a TRIP!

We walked the Strip and also took the bus for small distances. It's a gigantic city in the middle of the desert. It was 47 degrees and going from hotel to hotel is very exhausting. But it is almost intangible this city.

Amazing awaking of the soul with non stop action and adventure - too much to do - everything happening all at once love it 😊

Anyone who wants to celebrate is in the right place. Unique entertainment program in the hotels as well as external highly recommended. Nice & open people.

What can I say but the best way to see this is atop the Effiel tower viewing deck. Just amazing lights and views of the strip.

We have gone to Vegas almost every year. We stayed at Flamingo rooms just ok. I wouldn’t recommend it, there were people gambling with babies in casino. Not many restaurants unless you like food hall, Mexican, Cuban and coffee shop, food is expensive.
We did see Michael Jackson the one great show. Took uber to South Point Casino was extremely impressive they have everything there. Several restaurants, movie theater, bowling alley, track and sports betting nice area.
We did eat at buffet - 25.00 food and service was great!
My husband went to Spere for nature show he didn’t think it was worth the money. I would recommend Hash House restaurant food was awesome. We always go down to Treasure Island stayed there couple times they do have restaurant that services b/l/d so that’s plus. Dinner at Gilleys was good and you can watch someone ride bull. Our friends stayed there and didn’t pay resort fees
I would say Vegas has changed your going to pay higher resort fees and parking food is more expense even at food halls.
We are going back in October and staying at Harrahs so will see how it goes.
We both love going to Vegas!

I suppose you like it or you hate it, but this place is in any case really amazing, you must have been here to see this and make up your own mind.

There really wasn't much to see or do. It smelled absolutely horrible outdoors. Not a fun experience.

Visiting Vegas strip, stop in at The Cromwell. There is a cocktail waitress by the name of Natalie.......very attentive, and personality plus! One of the best cocktail servers that I have met in a very long time.

ADULT PLAYGROUND...Leave the kids at Disney....We come several times of year and the strip continually changes...No place like it...Half the fun is people watching.. young and old.

You’ll either love it or hate it, but admire it for what it is and you’ll appreciate what’s gone in to create such a unique and almost fantasy place. You can easily spend a day walking both lengths, via the hotels, taking the opportunities to grabs small bites to eat and drink along the way. Remember that just because somewhere looks close though it isn’t, and everything takes longer than you think to reach on foot. While the escalators over the side roads are a great concept there’s always some which are out of service, but there are lifts if you look closely.
The whole length is always kept clean and tidy and if you don’t like the crowds then an early morning stroll is always bliss in comparison to the evenings. Take in the atmosphere and it’s an eye-opening place to be.

The strip has lots of great casinos to try your luck at. Got lucky with the roulette wheel and it payed for my buffet dinner. Fun to take a stroll at night.

The Strip is an experience unto itself. Some of the street performers are entertaining. Almost as entertaining as people watching though. Theirs a big difference between the strip during the day versus the night. At night, the lights are on and the strip comes to life. During the day, it’s no where near as exciting. Seeing the Luxor, Eiffel Tower, Mandalay Bay, Bellagio Fountain etc at night is much better than the day. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes or you’ll be sorry. It seems fairly safe to say that nothing is Vegas is a direct walk. You may have to use a bridge to cross the street, but to continue on after, you may be cutting through casinos or stores. With all the heat, you can take Ubers or the monorail to avoid some walking.

The Strip is all glitz with dense crowds on the weekends. Being there on a weekday early in the evening is less crowded but still it is hazardous to move through that many people. Walk the east side of Las Vegas Blvd to cover the most ground quickly and climb to the overhead pathways to view the other sights.

I haven't been to the strip since 1991. Holy s**t, have things changed. Every hotel and casino is enormous but beautiful. Very exciting place. We also enjoyed Downtown, the Freemont Street experience. Slotzilla was pretty good too

The casinos, the restaurants and bars, the show, the people watching ... even a goldola ride in the heart of Venice. The Vegas Strip is like a giant theme park that literally has something for everyone. At all hours of the day or night!

Pre-Covid, you could buy a drink and sit at one of several outdoor places serving drinks and enjoy some great people watching. When I visited in October, couldn’t sit anywhere except on a low uncomfortable wall near Bellagio. I didn’t want to go to an expensive restaurant patio for a drink (plus there’s a huge wait). I just wanted a little bistro table and chair where I could sip my drink like I did before, and people watch for a bit. Nope! You’ll walk and walk, shoulder to shoulder, till you can’t stand the crowds and being bumped into anymore. The Strip is not what it used to be. Plus we caught Covid there.

Greed and Perceived Value:
Consumers are becoming more sensitive to what they consider "price gouging" and are questioning the value they receive for the exorbitant prices being charged, leading them to spend less or stay away entirely.

The Strip is nice in the day, but it gets fascinating in the dark. Everything lights up and flashes the entire strip. Music can be heard and it is food-oriented. If you are in Las Vegas, you should visit the Strip and take a look at yourself.

The Strip is the main tourist area in Las Vegas. The best hotels, theaters, big shows, casino and lots and lots of people can be found here.
This year, when we were there, the city was preparing to host the Formula 1 Grand Prix, and as the race route passes through the Strip, there were a lot of constructions, traffic diversions and attractions blocked.
But, even with all this, seeing the Strip at night, with all its lights, is sensational!

A great place to visit, Lots to see and do. When staying don't book accommodation on the Strip as it is too noisy and very expensive.

The strip has become a very busy and expensive place and unfortunately has many different types of scammers lurking to extract money from unsuspecting tourists.
The most common hustle (or scam as it is called outside of the USA) is girls dressed in fancy dress posing as 'show girls'. They will approach you and badger you into taking a photograph with them and then afterwards asking for a very large tip and / or take fraudulent payments.
This type of hustle has been going on for some time it seems, but they have now stepped up a gear by setting a price, having their partner distract you at a critical moment allowing them to secretly add a multiple to the amount they showed you to tap on your payment card. I got caught with a charge of nearly US$150, nine times more than I had reluctantly agreed to pay for a photograph that I didn't want anyway and which took 1 minute of theirs and our time.
Watch out, these ladies are everywhere and really a nuisance.

Very overrated. The whole place is way overpriced. Loads of beggars and crap street performers constantly trying to take your cash. Also loads of people smoking drugs. You can't escape the smell once outside. Loads of mentally ill people waking around, shouting, swearing and threatening people. I would never ever go again. What a cesspit. Probably good for influencers and narcissists.

Las Vegas Blvd is one of the most extravagant places in the world. This is because it's almost a mini world itself. The strip includes the Eiffel tower, the canals of Venice, Statue of Liberty and the pyramids of Egypt. Some of these are grand hotels and some are just for decoration. Or even both!! You could spend hours on the Strip and not get bored. It's amazing! Though it gets busy during some hours. Be warned though, not all hours are for kids. It's not always the most appropriate place for kids at night ever.

I went to the casino, now my house, wife, and kids are gone. Started with everything... now I have nothing. 10/10 do recommend!!!

We walked the strip from the Bellagio to the Venetian. It was lively and crowded. The sights and smells and sounds fill your senses. Never a dull moment. So much to see and do. Or just people watch. All walks of life are represented. Definitely a must do experience in Las Vegas.

We've been going for 10 years and on our last trip this year and was shocked by the prices. Restaurants seem to have escalated their prices but more than 60%

I’ve visited Vegas 4 times in the past 20 years and have seen the strip go downhill. Cannabis is legal here now and it absolutely stinks of the stuff. Homeless people are everywhere, drug usage appears widespread (spice been the main one). It’s also much more expensive than it used to be. The street performers also bug you loads. It’s also memorial weekend so mega mega busy.

Busy, bustling, noise and lights, pretty much sums up the strip. I don’t mean these things all negatively or positively it’s just the atmosphere of the strip. It had been nearly 24 years since I had visited so things had changed. The hotels are magnificent, great options for food and entertainment. The negative side was the obnoxious traffic, rudeness of people ( I am well traveled and this was the rudest environment I have been yet), pot smell galore ( eat gummies until your hearts content people!). It is worth the visit, just know it’s pricey to eat, drink water or soda. Plan a Walgreens trip to get water & soda for your room, $5-11 for bottles of water and soda when dining… food was a bit pricier than I expected. Over all the positives outweighed the negatives of the experience, thus the 4/5 rating. It is a unique city with lots to do!

While there is a lot to do in Las Vegas, who can afford to? Las Vegas used to be a fun place to go for a great time, a little expensive, but doable, unless you gambled too much. We used to go every year, gamble, play, have a blast. We vacation at least once a year if not twice, so we know that touristy places can be expensive, but I feel that this is over the top. We went two weeks ago. We spent 2 nights at the MGM. Hotel was fabulous, great service, but everything was outrageously overly inflated expensive. The room had a fridge that we couldn't use. The Hotel charges $50 if you put anything in it. You have to go buy coffee in the morning, no coffee maker in the room. We picked up the items on the counter to look at them, The snacks were $25.00 for a $4.00 bag of pretzels, they automatically charged us for them, luckily I was able to get those charges reversed. I wanted an ice cream cone, simple right? $15.00 for 1 scoop. The food was good, but very expensive as well. We went to sit by the pool and do the lazy river. $32.00 to rent an inflatable tube. Drinks if you aren't gambling were $17.00 a piece. A soda $8.00, WHAT!!! It was like this all the way down the strip. I heard more than once that Vegas was trying to attract more people because they were down on tourism. GEE I wonder why. Your average everyday person cannot afford to go, and if they do they're going into debt to do so. How can anyone afford to bring their family here? Unfortunately we will not be back, although we can afford it, we would rather go somewhere where we aren't gouged in the pocketbook for everything.

Casino after casino. Exactly what you’d expect for vegas. Just wish it wasn’t so long/inaccessible - the monorail needs significantly improving/signposting better. And some kind of summary of everything going on would be great, we only found out some shows we’d have liked when it was already too late. Would probably have given it 1 star.
But then saw it at night.
It genuinely came alive and really enjoyed the experience - it was like people wanted to be there instead of traipsing around in the heat

It was very crowded. The traffic was horrendous. There was construction, & we sat in traffic for long periods without moving. People were not friendly. It was once upon a time a place that was fun. I do not care if I win, but I would like to play for awhile before I lose my money.
That was our last trip to Las Vegas.

Love it or hate it, The Las Vegas Strip is iconic. There is nowhere quite like it. Yes, it is very busy, quite tacky, loud, overpriced and brutally hot during the summer months. However, where are you going to find the 12 largest hotels in the US all on one street (and 12 of the 20 largest hotels in the world). Great restaurants, countless bars and clubs, and endless entertainment options. Even if you don't gamble a penny, you can find so much to do. Some of the most lavish pool complexes can be found here. Make sure you watch a performance of the Fountains of Bellagio especially at night, wander through The Forum Shops at Caesars and check out St Mark's Square with actual gondolas on the canals at The Venetian. And all of that is free. Just walking up and down The Strip taking in the bright lights and enjoying the amazing people watching is so worth it. And all of this is going on 24/7! With that said, the city can be exhausting. Set a daily limit on how much you are willing to lose should you decide to gamble while here. Also, you really only need 2-3 good days and nights when in Vegas. Unless you are doing other sightseeing at the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead or Red Rock Canyon, it can be complete sensory overload and the city can exhaust you if you try to overindulge for more than 2 or 3 nights.

We had a group of 6, here for the NFR, we flew in rented a car, stayed at Treasure Island, we used the monorail which is a great way to get around. We also walked the strip and I found it to be trashy, a lot of homeless people, and remember marijuana is legal in Las Vegas so you walk through the smells of it. The Strip is always entertaining.

The Las Vegas Strip is one of those experiences that you should experience at least once, especially if you're already in the city. It's just as glitzy and showy as expected, with multiple exorbitantly expensive restaurants and shops lining both sides of the Strip. It's also loud, crowded, and smells strongly of pot. The Strip reminds me of the Hollywood Walk of Fame in that it's also a bit rundown behind the glitz, and there's a large homeless population. I'm not sure how many times I'll feel the need to visit, but I'm glad I was able to visit at least once.

The Strip is a large larger largest Las Vegas boulevard. Hard to describe. You must have been there once in your life. Nothing else to compare to. An unforgettable experience.

Me and my wife have gone there every year for our anniversary.
But our last few trips
I have definitely not been the same.
Hotel prices and all their B.S.Fees along with?
How expensive it has become to eat. I mean, seriously $18 for a bottle of water.
Vegas is killing themselves.
Can't say we'll be visiting Vegas anytime soon. Anymore, looking for that new
Vacation spot

We only really went to Vegas as it was "on the way" - we'd flown there to pick up a car, then ended back there for a couple of nights before flying out.
The strip was...just fine. Quite busy in places and just a succession of blingy hotels and bars. I didn't get the hype before going and am none the wiser having been.
We wandered into a few places to try and find what we were missing but it all just feels very false and neon rich. Okay for a wander but I don't get why some want to come here for a week once a year.

We had an absolute blast on the strip. It gets a bad reputation because of the hustle and bustle and people trying to hand you stuff, but honestly, you just gotta have thick skin. I kept walking to avoid getting handed anything and always told the Flamingo girls no thank you for a picture. Don't take a picture with them unless you are ready to shell out about $100 for each girl. Seriously! We were heckled a few times, but I don't really care what people say to me or think about me, so I just kept it moving. If you take everything with a grain of salt, you will have an amazing time on the strip!

I walked on the strip for a little bit. I expected a lot of crowds and things being super busy. I was not usually impressed. I suppose I always had a different view of what Las Vegas should look like. I would tell anybody to visit this trip at least one time, but I probably would not go back simply because it was a little too busy and I was surprised to see so many homeless people.

Someone else commented on the construction. We didn't know about it either. should have done more research. The hotels sure didn't volunteer any of that info. Fountains are an amazing attraction if you can see them. We were here back in 17 and boy has it gotten more expensive. Everyone has there hand out and absolutely everything has a price. We had a good time but certainly wasn't worth the cost to me. If you have plenty of money then this is the place to spend it. I personally won't be back.

The strip is great! Had a blast,! So many things to do! I would say more for the adult crowd. Id leave the kids at home...just being honest!

This little stretch of land can be anything you want it to be, with a bit of money and a bit of luck. Do yourself a favor and set a budget. Good luck!

Walked very little during day light hours along the strip. Did not feel safe doing so which is a stark contrast from the last time I visited over 10 years ago. Only ubered at night - would not walk - did not feel safe.

It is all about magical entertainment that is not like anywhere else all over the world. It is the center and the main point of interest in Las Vegas which is full of Casinos, too many people, outdoor shows, and amazing mimics of Venice, Rome, Paris, Luxor, and New York. July was horrible in terms of the weather.

It's been a while since I visited the Strip. The first time was when Frank Sinatra was a headliner. I just returned from a trip to, what is for me, the "new Strip - Bellagio, Cesar's Palace, Paris, the Sphere, etc. including the Mob Museum which is an absolute must visit. I loved the entire experience after I decided to let myself go and simply experience "this" in the middle of the desert. Wynn, Aria, Dancing on the rooftops, eating wonderful food, basking in the fountain shows, winning in the Casinos (and I thought I hated to gamble) the atmospheres, the speak-easys. It's well a bit beyond words. Sure, these places are "tromp l'oeil" and a far cry from the real thing - and yet, the entire experience help us forget about real life for a minute and isn't that what it's all about?

I have been to the Vegas Strip five times since the 1990’s - it’s getting worse - not better
I have no idea who’s actually in charge the Mayor and City Council the Chamber of Commerce, some special zoning authority, but whoever’s in charge is not doing it correctly
You can’t simply cross the street anymore. You have to go upstairs frequently. The escalators are out of service, the elevators less than desirable
Construction always going on
They forgotten that it’s a street that one should be able to walk up and down
I have no illusions that one post on Tripadvisor will change anything but be prepared for a walk that takes some effort to go in a straight line
They really are in danger of completely losing any type of enjoyable effect of walking up and down one of America’s most historic streets
I hope they will continue to find a way to remember that part of the allure of Vegas is a walk up and down the strip
Going around up and over it’s not exactly the same thing as walking down the strip
Do better

I have been to the strip many times, it was nice but I found it a little run down after COVID, a lot of detours to get around. It was still nice - that "Vegas" vibe was still in the air.

Much better than three years ago! No more people sprawled out on the sidewalks and pedestrian bridges. It's much less scary than in the past now. With all the sidewalk entertainer wannabes flashing the flesh, this is no place for families pushing strollers at midnight.
Most of the tourists now seem to be fairly young and don't look like the well-heeled gamblers of past decades. With the city now catering to casual tourists everything is priced double what it should be. Beer is $10-$15 everywhere. Meals are so very high, too. I spotted a $27 cheeseburger meal at Johnny Rockets!!
And you had better be in good physical shape to walk the Strip as everything looks deceivingly close and there are absolutely no benches anywhere. Over 50% of the bridge escalators are out of order as well as many of the elevators. Mostly the "up" escalators, too!
It's an exciting destination for the young and rich today. Just bring your patience to deal with the crowds and traffic.

Were here in July 2018, when busy, crazy special. There was a nice vibe. You could still walk the Strip. Now it was a big disappointment, fully built, dirty, crowded, hobos everywhere and weed smell. All kinds of people who want to sell something and bother you, very expensive empty shops (Dior, Hermes) . For people who want to include LV in their America tour: think carefully how long you want to be there, we thought it was a waste of our time and would have preferred to spend it somewhere else.

This was both my partner and I's second time in Las Vegas and we were there for 12 nights.
The strip was fascinating the first two days, the hustle and bustle alongside all of the lights and the smattering of free attractions were plenty to keep us entertained and it felt like we constantly had cause to turn and look at something interesting.
That feeling of awe quickly fades however.
1 - The strip is absolutely littered with aggresive and ignorant touts, hawkers and people trying to charge for photographs with them. It feels like you can't walk twenty metres without someone trying to get you to stop with the promise of free show tickets or VIP treatment somewhere, all for free - EXCEPT that they expect a tip. We knew beforehand to ignore most of these however did not expect the cheek and abuse that some of them hurled in our direction. In walking past a group of men he said "That's cool if you ignore me, I didn't take you for a racist but you I guess you never can tell. Shake my hand - black doesn't rub off..."
Gullible me was mortified (and confused) but ultimately really concerned that I'd somehow come across as racist to this man and duly stopped to shake his hand. At which point I was immediately surrounded by a group of black men putting cards in my hand and taking money out of my pouch.
2 - There is construction absolutely everywhere. Granted they're preparing for the Grand Prix but it felt like everything took an absolute age to navigate with diversions and boards having been put up to restrict or control movement. Unfortunately this made it quite easy for folk from point 1 to pigeon hole large groups.
3 - We played a game each day, we counted: number of fountains we saw/passed, numbers of thongs on display and finally the number of broken escalators we came across. Broken escalators won, hands down, every day regularly reaching double digits. We're young fit and healthy so taking the stairs wasn't a major hassle, however in 42 degree heat it wasnt always pleasent being cheek to cheek with slow moving traffic climbing stairs.
My advice, spend a day or two exploring the free attractions, try and see it once during the day and once at night - and then get on to it and off of it as soon as you can and enjoy wherever it is you're going. Adopt the mindset that you're not buying anything you didn't specifically go looking for and ignore the aggresive street hawkers, regardless of what they say to you.

Very expensive. It is no longer a cheap destination. Shows very good and so is Fremont Street experience. But many of the casinos are owned by MGM and they are not as distinct as they used to be.

Had always said we would visit one day. Can get very busy especially at night but never felt unsafe. Lights at night are spectacular. Popping into various themed hotels is good fun. Miracle mile good for cheap restaurants. On the negative side permanent smell of cannabis which is unpleasant. Not disappointed but won't be coming back.

Just back from MGM GRAND LAS VEGAS. I recommend that you have a holiday here. Even though its cold at night, the place is buzzing.

Las Vegas has suffered from COVID and the stock market push for Qtrly Returns NOW. I get it. You are writing your own path to demise. The resorts are aging poorly and the infrastructure is crumbling. Try to walk the strip and the scalfolding with broken escalators are window to your demise. The strip is dirty, cracked, floods easily and is impossible to smoothly get around. The lines at resort registration at midnight is underserviced and matched by the lines at elevator banks while limited floors are open for business. Your cost efficiency is not effective. It's crippling. The best description of the strip is dirty, outdated, over priced and an advertisement for poor American tourism. When you value something as valuable as a tourist, you care about this visit as much as the return visit. Always leave them wanting more should be this city's theme. Unfortunately you leave guests more than reluctant to return. You leave the precious guest regretful they arrived. What a wreck. Is there any hope of a revival? I don't see it but I believe our ingenuity never ceases to surprise and amaze our critics. We must do better. There are so many hard working hospitality driven people in Las Vegas. They need a change agent. A leader to guide a new path to long term sustainability and new sources of continuous revenue.

Coming from England and never having been to the states before, it’s overwhelming and unreal how huge everything is. It’s busy 24/7 and the best for people watching. Every single walk of life gets here from the richest to the local character. You’d never be able to walk the full length of it though - taxis are a must!

I’m going to be completely honest, and I know others may feel differently. I last visited Las Vegas around 20 years ago and absolutely loved the vibe. Unfortunately, returning in December 2025 was a big disappointment.
Las Vegas now feels like nothing more than a rip-off. While there is still some glitz and glamour around the central Strip, Bellagio, Paris, etc. the atmosphere drops off quickly beyond that area. Dining is hugely overpriced across the board, including fast-food outlets. Most hotels are designed so you have little choice but to eat within their own precincts, which only adds to the cost.
The hidden fees are what really leave a bad taste. In my case, accommodation for six nights was advertised at $1,800. On check-in, I was hit with an additional $800 in resort fees. These fees are justified as covering pool, gym, and Wi-Fi access, except the pool and gym at my hotel were closed, and Wi-Fi was limited to just two devices. Any additional device was an extra $16 per night.
My advice would be to seriously consider staying well away from the Strip. The money you spend on taxis or ride-shares will likely be far less than the extra taxes, fees, and inflated prices you’ll face staying on the Strip.
From conversations with people on the ground, even locals, staff and other visitors seem tired of these rip-off tactics. It certainly feels like businesses must be suffering in the long run.
There is still opportunities to see some great shows, such as the Cirque du Soleil shows, the Grand Canyon etc, but sadly, the Las Vegas I remembered no longer exists.

Lively as should be in Vegas. Must visit and for mostly everyone to be in Las Vegas- to enjoy various clubs, cafe, casino, shows..........Best to stay in Vegas strip.

The weather was not cooperating when we visited, but that did not stop us from enjoying the strip. We had a ball going to different casinos!

The strip is a spectacular site with all the lights and people everywhere! Every hotel has its own theme and the buildings are amazing!

Lots of walking, interesting people and the perpetual scent of weed in the air! Please leave your children at home! Lots of booty (for pictures and a price!) on display and it takes a while to get to the casino next door!

never a dull moment while walking on the strip, there is always something to see, eat or drink! i walked it with my friends but also when they were tired and went to bed i walked it by myself and was totally fine and i felt safe. i was walking alone after midnight and never once felt unsafe. i didnt see everything in the 4 days i was there, theres that much to see/do. my favorite part of the strip was walking along and grabbing a drink from a random place and then keeping on going. just like travelling anywhere, always be smart about who you are talking to and dont fall for the scams and hold your ground.

It was such a great place to visit, and see some amazing sites and places, spent a nice day strolling just watch out for the homeless and people trying to sell stuff and push religion

If I could give Las Vegas and its strip zero stars I would. Too hot, too expensive, too fake and nothing to do but go to over priced shows, sit like a moron at a gaming table or a slot machine. Why anyone would take children there is beyond me. It’s child abuse

There is no better place in the world to sit and watch the masses of people flow down the Las Vegas Strip!

We visited Las Vegas as the final part of our 8 couple Spring Break trip after seeing the Utah 5 national parks. I will say most of our group were not gamblers so we were looking for other attractions in the city and the Strip itself is a highlight. We stayed at the Paris Las Vegas, ate at many places along the Strip and saw two shows on the Strip, the Beatles Cirque du Solie and Matt Franco's Magic Show. Whether day or night there is always something to do here. This is why you come to Las Vegas in so many ways.

A vibrant neon lit playground known for it's vibrant energy, dazzling lights and endless entertainment options. The strip offers something for everyone. The lively atmosphere combined with mix of high end shopping and divers dining experience.

I was well aware that F1 is just a few weeks away, so I was prepared for some minor headaches navigating the strip using the sidewalks, bridges, etc. What I didn't like was how much more of a cash grab Vegas has become. Some restaurants display their menus outside but without prices. The Denny's near MGM is using a very limited menu (no prices on the menu that is handed to you at the table). Staffing shortages at many places so there are empty tables at restaurants but you still have to wait in a long line because they have nobody to clean the tables. I ordered a soup and a salad at The Cheesecake Factory. The server asked me if I wanted a Caesar salad (the price displayed was for a garden salad). She did not inform me that there was an upcharge. When the bill arrived, it was a couple of bucks more. Not a big deal, but I should have been told. Took a taxi from Mandalay Bay to MGM Grand, was $11.90. I handed the driver a $20 and asked for $5 back...he claimed he only had $3!!! Shop around at the souvenir shops. I paid $15.99 for an engraved pocket knife/tool at a souvenir store next to The Cheesecake Factory. I later saw the exact same thing at several other souvenir stores for $10.99! Coffee can be very expensive. If you are having breakfast at a restaurant, ask them to give you coffee in a to go cup before you leave and avoid paying for one while you're out on the strip. Buy your bottled water at CVS or Walgreens instead of paying $7 a bottle in the casinos. I don't know about other hotels, but the MGM Grand has a pool open year round but no food or drink service! You have to buy something elsewhere and bring it in. It's still the best place in the world to 'people watch', for sure! I'm guessing it will take a few weeks (or months) for them to dismantle all the F1 stuff. Once it's all gone, I'll be back!

We as a family walked practically walked down almost the entire strip for many hours and it was really a very interesting experience with the hustle bustle of the large crowds and very bright lights and colourful buildings. When in Las Vegas one should not miss this experience !

Wonderful wknd and Vegas must be visited more than once to complete that bucket list of things to do. The problem because they are constantly developing the list is never ending lol

Lights, casinos, restaurants, scenery, entertainment, the Avenue and the car parade. The strip is unique in the world.

Last I was on the strip was 10 years ago. The decline is so sad-homelessness everywhere, the horrible smell of weed cannot be escaped. While the sights and lights are awesome, it is overshadowed by the rampant drug use

It's as nuts as you might think and so corny, chavvy, bonkers at every turn but equally amazing.
Every hotel has a different them, we loved the wildlife at the Flamingo.
We stayed at the Luxor and WOW! The pyramid has to be seen to be believed with lifts that go up on an angle.
Words can't explain the madness of Vegas and I lost count of the times I just stood there saying "this is bloody nuts!"

So it depends on where you are on the strip and the time of day as to what your experience. There are a lot of homeless folks begging, some truly look like they have mental health issues. Around the Linq there were quite a few hustlers dressed like strippers or show girls.
The area around the Venetian was a lot cleaner and had fewer beggars.
At night, it gets a little seedy depending on where you are and the smell of pot and urine is in the air.

I gave a soft spot for Las Vegas because it was where I got married and had a beautiful wedding day 13 years ago.
Returning now it’s a sad place, many shops are closed down on the strip. between MGM and Paris its not a pleasant walk. Escalators broken and run down.
The strip lacks the same vibe and energy. It also needs more themed hotels, as must as Aria and cosmopolitan are beautiful they are boring. Yes they may have great casinos but they don’t have the theme like Venetian or Bellagio or Caesars palace.
Areas like the Linq promenade are great and a good investment.

This is the most important street in Las Vegas, famous all over the world, impossible to cover it all on foot, given its great length, almost seven kilometres, absolutely not to be missed is the Bellagio with its fountains, the Venetian hotel, the the Paris hotel, the Mirage, the Luxor, the New York New York, the Excalibur which are certainly the most beautiful hotels to see. The Strip is even more beautiful and scenic at night, I absolutely recommend not to miss it.

Great replicas of buildings from all over the world, lights everywhere you look. Pedestrians could be given a little more preference. Otherwise a real experience.

I have been to Las Vegas three different times and each time has been a different experience. I miss some of the older versions of some things and I enjoyed some of the newer versions of things. All in all; a fantastic trip.

We stopped in Vegas while on a road trip, mostly just to say we did. We went for a walk along the strip in the evening and it got worse as the night went on. All you can smell is weed and between the nearly-naked women and the creepy men handing out cards to advertise a type of ‘service,’ it certainly wasn’t a family-friendly environment. A few hours was more than enough and we would have left earlier, but we had to walk quite a distance to get the shuttle back to our hotel. There are some cool sights and the lights and action are fun, but that’s it. Half of the escalators aren’t working, so the walking up and down stairs gets annoying. Well, we can saw we saw it, but it was the low light of our trip. Save your money and go somewhere else.

$20 for a drink anywhere. Incredibly expensive for anything. Harrah's carnival has a stage with live music - pretty bad music
Street performers are aggressive for money. Spiderman, Bluey and Stitch. - Stitch was "rubbing" on me during pic - totally gross

The strip is bigger than life. Everyone should go at least once. The concerts, the food, the shere, nice hotels, zip lines, Fremont Street, fun at the pool. I don’t gamble but if you do this is your jam!

So fun to people watch. Take a bus $8 for 24 hours go to top of bus and just ride. Gives you great ideas of where you may want to go and get off

Enjoyed everything. You should visit after dark to enjoy the real beauty. Endless things to do day and night.

If you are going to Vegas for the first time, you should choose the period wisely. From September to December, the Strip is a huge construction site due to the Formula One race at the end of November. For me, it is hard to understand how one can disgrace the most important part of a city for more than a quarter of a year and throw it into traffic chaos. During this time I would therefore max. Awarded 3 stars for Las Vegas, otherwise always happy 5!

My 3rd time in Vegas, although my last trip was 8/9 years and it's really gone downhill. Lots of building work going on, it's very grubby, loads of homeless everywhere and smelly mainly from the stink of dope everywhere.
I went for a wedding and unless it's for another special event I won't be going again. It's also become incredibly expensive for fairly basic things, example, bottles of water in the hotels were 15/20 usd each. I'm addition it's very much an 'upgrade culture, as everything is basic but for more dollars we can upgrade you'.
Also service in the hotels has deteriorated. You used to see numerous waitresses in the casinos to get you drinks while you played the tables/slots. I played for several hours on numerous occasions and barely saw a waitress.
It's losing its personality and more then ever just wants your money, very sad.

A great place to walk, plenty of sites and attractions to explore. We walked from the Luxor to Freemont Street and back, so we seen plenty .
All sorts of venues and 24 hour wedding chapels that were like conveyor belts.
The Belagio fountains were amazing.
As was the Venetian.
Always worth a visit.

Las Vegas must be visited once in your life. At night, the Strip is a unique experience.
The streets are packed with tourists from all over the world. Sometimes you need a little patience and a look at the attractions. Las Vegas is also worth visiting without wasting your money on a slot machine
Ambiente: cool
Price / performance: an expensive city
Recommend: once in his life

It really is a strip and good to walk along. Amazing with all those world buildings jammed against each other. Venetian was the best and well detailed. But the strip was quiet

Starting with “I loved Las Vegas” this area is the true heart of the city.
Lights, people, fun… quiet during the day and full of life at night.
I recommend staying in this area.

#1 leave the kids at home. Take them to Disneyland. There was once a time many years ago that Vegas really welcomed kids, but that came and went. It is annoying to have kids on the strip or at
pools where adults are scantily clad, drunk and talk like truckers. Adults want to cut loose and not worry that their actions will be seen by children.

This was my first time on the Las Vegas strip and it certainly was a unique experience. I knew coming in that it would be gambling centric but I did not realize to what extent. Absolutely everything revolves around gambling and nothing on the strip is cheap. From the restaurant prices, to the fabulous shows that are offered at the various Casinos, everything comes at a price. This is an amazing rich person’s play ground and if you can afford it certainly has something for everyone. That being said to just take in the views from the gondoliers at the Venetian, to exploring the gardens and the fountain at the Bellagio there are tons of things to see and do. At night the strip is lit up in colours and neon lights which is pretty to explore. I was actually surprised to not see lots of beggars and homeless people on the strip which apparently used to be a problem. Needless to say if you are in Vegas you have to explore the strip but be prepared for the high prices.

Very good will be coming back after I pay of my student loans. It was so much fun me and my friend McWill had a fun challenge called go to every casino we went past. Sadly we lost a lot of money including our sister college fund, are parents entire life savings and our houses. But we both ended up having a great time and learnt a valuable lesson to never give up and always keep going. One slight bummer is that my parents have now disowned me and my friend now live outside a Waitrose. I have taken out another loan so I can go back to Las Vegas so I can carry on gambling. But as ever it was probably the best decision I made in my life. Would recommend for young people from age 10-25. Always remember people to never give up and it’s never too early to start making your own decisions.

February is the perfect time to go, not too hot and not too cold. Always something to do and see on the strip. Just be forewarned you might be cajoled into shows or adventures on your walk about town. We stayed at the Mandalay Bay and walked all the way down to Treasure Island. That was a walk and a half. Plenty of shops to peruse and definitely a lot of restaurants. Great people watching as well.

This post mainly focuses on my experience with getting around on the Vegas Strip and Fremont Street.
I hadn't been to Vegas for about 12 years, so my husband and I went for a long weekend to celebrate our birthdays. We stayed in the Venetian, which was nice and so that part of our stay was positive for the most part. They don't have refrigerators other than the mini-bar, so don't overorder food. Also, no coffee makers is pretty common, plan to take a 10min elevator ride and walk to the nearest shop to buy a $8 coffee. We also went to a couple shows, several restaurants, and an Exhibition. There are a wide range of shows all over, and we had no problem finding some in our budget that we were excited about. We also made reservations at a nice restaurant that we knew would be quite expensive, but otherwise we would just browse menus (most restaurants post them in front) until we found something we wanted and could afford. Food and drinks in Vegas are just mega-ridiculous-expensive. Period. Know before you go.... have a BIG food/drink budget especially if you are going to want cocktails. It was pretty typical to find: $12/beer, $16-$20/wine, $18-$24/cocktail. Try to take advantage of happy hours if you can. It does start to wear you you after a while. Now for transportation. We had a great experience getting a $20 Uber from the airport to our hotel, dropped off right in front. That is where the easy ended. Getting around was extremely annoying. We tried multiple modes of transportation.
Walking: comfortable shoes are a must, remember it will take longer because you are pushing through crowds of people, plan on breathing in weed smoke every 20 feet (maybe you like that!), plan on people constantly handing you things you don't want, invading your personal space and asking you for money, and I personally would never bring my kids here. Oh, and also, everything is filthy... so always watch your step.
Monorail: you can get tickets, fairly cheap, on your phone or print them, but I found that many machines that print them weren't working. We also had trouble finding the stations through the maze of casinos. There were very few signs and those we found were not that helpful (small arrow pointing in a general direction and then the signs would stop). Also important to know that there are not that many stations, so depending on where you are staying/going this may or may not be a good option. For example, the monorail does not go to Fremont Street. Once we actually got to the station, the monorail itself was fast, comfortable, and basically empty.
Duce Bus(runs from the far south end of the strip all the way to Fremont street and back): Cheap tickets that you get on your phone or print at the bus stop. The bus stops are easy to find and pretty frequently spaced along the street. The bus was very crowded every time we rode, smelled like weed and was stuffy, but was fairly clean and comfortable. We never had to walk far to a bus stop, but would wait 20-30 minutes for it to get there. Also, had a very bad experience one night, we were trying to catch the bus to come back from Fremont street so we walked to the nearest stop we could find (it was dark and we didn't feel safe wandering too far) which was on the northbound side. We figured it was a loop, and that the bus would go one more stop and turn around. This did NOT happen! We got picked up, taken 1 block, then kicked off. We had to run 2 blocks to southbound bus stop so we could catch the bus we had just departed to pick us up again. It was frustrating to say the least (why didn't she let us know??? did she really think we were only going a block!). I will also note that I saw other buses, like an open-air bus, but I am guessing its a tour or something.
Uber: The more expensive, supposed to be the most convenient option. And it CAN be, but you must understand some things. Uber drivers do not pick people up in the main drop off/valet area in front of the casino lobby. They seem to always have a separate "ride-share" pickup location much further off the beaten path. Again with the signs... do your best to follow the "ride share signs" if you can find them. The OTHER thing about uber... if you are trying to get an uber right after a large event, it will take forever and we even had several fall through because of the mass chaos. We left dinner at the MGM and decided to call an uber since our hotel was at the opposite end of the strip. We quickly noticed hundreds of people who all clearly had just gotten out of some very large music event and there is honestly no rhyme or reason to how the pick-up cars come through. Many are real Ubers, many are people just trying to make a buck and offering rides (sketchy!) and tons of honking. We suffered through that for a while before taking the monorail, which was a bit out of the way but well worth it.
Overall, getting anywhere in this area just takes a really long time, so be prepared for that. I probably would have not cared as much if I could have been lugging around one of those massive souvenir cups full of a fruity rum concoction, but I was pregnant, so different story. If you are an easy-going, low-stress person with some disposable income... this will probably be an awesome trip. I mean, the lights, exciting entertainment options, and interesting people ARE pretty cool. If you are someone who gets stressed out I would say this: pick your hotel wisely, plan your activities/meals at the casino where you stay. At the Venetian, you could spend a whole day between the pool and the spa, shop till you drop, and never eat at the same place twice. And if you do decide to venture out, leave yourself plenty of time and have a positive attitude.

There is something for everyone from "bad" to the most exotic and impressive! Everything is in excess to attract to your casino or store!
Therefore it is a real exploration to be carried out for kilometers, sometimes crossing thanks to the panoramic footbridges and visiting each casino, all magnificent from the inside, where "themed" stores
It will take a good day at least, ....and you will have to come back at night because there will be other "sound and light" shows.
You can return to your starting point thanks to the 2 trams (one on each side) or even better by the city's double-decker bus: the Deuce, which will allow you to explore the entire strip

Weed smell is disturbing. Half naked people everywhere. Prostitution card flippers get in your face when you walk by. Beer is 8-10 bucks in bars and restiarantes. 70 to 100 bucks to eat at any signature restaurants on the strip. Homeless sleeping in the middle of the sidewalk. Street performers everywhere. Some really good. Lots of CvS and Walgreens to buy cheaper drinks. Construction for F1 races is a bit of a problem right now. People need to need to walk on the right and the crowding would be minimized. Not kid friendly.

When visiting Vegas the strip is a must! But not in heels!!!!! It's long and fun! The lights are gorgeous, the smells are ones you will never forget! And summer is monsoon season so pack an umbrella. We got caught in a severe thunderstorm and got soaked. But it made for great memories! The whole trip made for great memories!!!! And don't come on a tight budget. A 7 day all inclusive trip to Vegas for 2 or more people will cost around 5 grand. It was a once in a lifetime trip for me and unforgettable. I will reminisce on this trip for the rest of my life!!!

What about... You have to see to believe. And most of all it can please a lot or not at all, for the same reasons. The incredible splendor of the imposing buildings, the more or less realistic reproductions of great works of art and buildings (from the Statue of Liberty to the Eiffel Tower, from the Grand Canal of Venice to the Colosseum and so on), the excess of lights and water, the casinos and the river of people, etc etc etc etc etc. And the 'new' Sphere is something that struck me particularly, I found it really incredible. As for me I am always amazed to see all this and if someone should ask me if I like it I would say that I do not know but I would definitely like to see it and see it again ..

We just got back this week. Last time we were on the strip was about 18 years ago. It has changed dramatically. Some for the better but mostly for the worse. Like most of the recent reviews here have already mentioned. Escalators broken, homeless everywhere, smell of skunk weed making it hard to breath. 2 places we went to had fog machines. It was so thick it made my lungs hurt. What I have not seen people mention is the tram system. It is difficult to figure out. Some only goto the next hotel. There is almost no signs or directions on how to get to them or use them. Everything is so expensive. Last time I was here you could find some places offering a meal or something at a reasonable price. Not anymore. I watched a lady buy 4 bottles of water and pay 24$. Even the food was not good enough to write home about. 630.00$ for 5 meals and a fast food chain could have done it better. The service was great and our waiter was awesome. Even the little fast food places were over priced and the food just mediocre at best. The treasure island show has been cancelled despite the fact google still shows the times. I hear the volcano show will soon be cancelled. I don’t know that I will ever go back.

Great for walking to see the lights any time of day really. You can take the bus, but with road construction it takes a while to move. Lots of photo ops and things to see.

Maybe it's all been a bit less than it used to be in recent years but because it's the first time we came there, we can't judge this.
But even if it was less than before, what a bombardment of sensory stimulation! How far over-the-top can you go?
A totally crazy, fake city in the middle of the desert, but so well presented, so crazy that you just have to like it!
Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Paris of Las Vegas, Flamingo, New York New York, The Cosmopolitan, ... we have visited them all just to experience the grotesque expressions of human fantasy and madness!
And the casinos are running 7/24 - all that flashing and squeaking will drive you even more crazy!
Minus: weed smell is everywhere. My 16-year-old daughter wouldn’t breathe after a while – which gave us a few minutes of rest 😉

I have been here many times travelling from Australia, I will never come back! It is dirty, expensive and you are slugged for things that used to be free, parking is one. Food and drinks are very very expensive, rooms are no longer cheap and the dishonest pricing is terrible, you never really know what the cost is up front, rooms advertised for $110 a night ends up with hidden no disclosed costs ends up at $170 plus…… its all a scam, shops not displaying prices, a bottle of water $10, seriously…….the place has gone to the dogs…… don’t waste your time or money going there!

Walking the Strip is the best attraction in Las Vegas. The biggest movement is during the night even this because during the day the sun burns the mill in a way that the best thing to do is run from one casino to the next taking advantage of the air conditioning cracking of all. Be careful with the scams, there is no shortage of people clinging to you to then charge for photos. But the walk is excellent because it is a free time program, including in the morning, and for free! There is more ... it is allowed to drink walking on the street, neither need a bag of paper, so you can buy a brass of beer and go enjoying to refresh on the way!
Do not worry about visiting all the casinos and hotels on the Strip, even if you do slowly and have many days you will get tired if you do it all at once, take advantage of those that make you more curious and come back again to enjoy everything without nausea.

It is awesome to see the strip day and night and see the beautiful big hotels and what they offer and see their different attractions.

Great to walk around once, if there. Street is long, from Strat hotel (as finish, with dancing girls statue), to start (Las Vegss sign), at least 2 hours walking. Great to see famous casinos, water show at Belaggio, Eifel tower, Venetian with Venice underground, etc. But gambling is not my thing. Also, you see a lot of homeless people, also on Strip, but more just off strip.

Expect to walk a lot, in and out of the buildings. Many fascinating architecture and mood to feel and see.

It's a lot of walking and you learn the best routes of going into hotels, various bridges, and escalators/stairs to get around the strip.

It is a fun place to walk and has great access to the main walk in Las Vegas. The major hotels are located on the Strip along with good eateries. It’s relatively safe with lots of people.

My first time in Vegas. The hotels are on an enormous scale but essentially they all revolve around giant casinos. The restaurants also sit within casinos and the food I had was excellent. The fit and finish is opulent but very tacky.
Vegas itself is a very odd, kind of sinister, cesspit. Granted, you can have some fun but there is simply no way to escape constant music, gambling and dazzling lights. The city stinks of drugs and sewage. You’ve got to get a cab everywhere and tip them a minimum of 20%. Most things are very expensive and venues relentlessly pursue your money.
Overall I never once felt relaxed in Vegas and would not wish to go again. A very odd choice for anyone looking for a break.

We stayed at the Palazio, well located, suites are very nice; check-in/out easy. Went to the Sphere saw U2 - Incredible; Highly Recommend (Get seats on Level 2 and above, or Level 1 Rows 1 to 20). Dined at BRERA osteria; Great food, great service, great price/value; close to the Sphere entrance. Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen at Caesar's; Great service, good food, good price (Get the Prix menu), excellent drinks. Lunch at Cañonita; very good but pricey. Royal Britannia Gastropub; good food, good price, nice beer selection, good service. Suggest making reservations for dinner, especially on weekends.
I have not been to Las Vegas in 10 years, changed so much. There was so much to see and do walking around and in each of the resort courts/malls. Didn't do too much gambling. So, if you don't gamble, you'll have fun.

The views were okay but could have been better if the work for the Formula 1 race that was coming up in a month. Don't go in October or probably November.

If you’re visiting Las Vegas, then walking The Strip is a must. Unless, of course, you are with children. That would probably be risky because of some unsavory characters milling around. If you are with friends and you are all old enough, you will be ight. I suggest using a map so you don’t miss anything that you really want to see.

The strip is like nowhere we’ve been before. Glamour, twinkly lights, OTT personalities, great restaurants, people watching….just an experience you have to have!

Filthy dirty. Stench of cannabis everywhere.
Drunks and homeless rolling around the pavements.
I've been visiting Vegas since 2000. I am an owner at the Marriott Grand Chateau.
However after my last trip I won't be going back.
The streets are absolutely filthy. Too many homeless creeping up towards the nicer parts of the strip. No police moving them on. It feels unsafe and just not a nice place to visit anymore.
The strip has the same vibe as Fremont Street, dirty and smelly.
Such a shame.

Took a long time to get to canal shops
The path getting there wasn't in a strait direction
Shops on the strip were good

We are not gamblers and only visited to see it. If you are a gambler, you may have a different perspective. The strip is bright and exciting. There are homeless, but we never felt threatened by them. Some were sleeping on the sidewalks. Various people do approach with various requests to purchase stuff. There are very skimpily-clad women walking around asking if you want your picture with them. We found that there is affordable food -Cain's is about $1 higher per item there than in normal places. The M&M store is four floors of M&M related things including getting your face on the M&M's. The Hershey's Store has good ice cream and is a neat store. One visit is enough for us, but we don't gamble.

Visit iconic hotels on Vegas strip. Impressed with Bellagio, Venetian, Caesar Palace. Can also eat with Gordon Ramsay at Hells Kitchen

Fun to walk or drive up and down the Strip, but walking should be during the evening time in July. Otherwise, it is so hot! It got to 107 degrees when we were there in mid-July. It is also nice to see it all lit up in the dark.
Free parking is offered by only few hotels. The rest seem to have free parking for 1 hr. The hotels we parked at for free were Treasure Island, Venetian and Rio. The Strip is huge though.

Very fun, lots of attractions, luxury hotels with casinos, good food and drinks but always too crowded.

There are a lot of hard-to-get-in shops, some people are flying and it's fun to see the show just by walking around, there are still no Japanese people, so I'm nervous, but I can manage.

Spent a couple of days here.
8 hour plane ride recovery time.
Do a couple of meals maybe gamble a little.
Do my part to stimulate the economy.
It’s a work trip mostly.

Always a fun time to walk up and down on the strip and people watching. We saw 2 young ladies dressed as sexy cops with fishnets, handcuffs and butt cheeks exposed. Several musicians played loudly down the way. Always interesting on the strip!

My wife and I love Las Vegas and go at least every 2 years.
The strip is loud, bright, and smells of pot at every step. There are so many people with kids and I just don’t understand that. Yes there are some things for kids to do and see, but what they will see and hear is why I have never taken my kids with me.
There are few places better to people watch than the Strip. The later it gets, the better it gets especially on the weekends.
The whole place is overpriced and people will ask you for money at every block. Either panhandlers or Halloween costumes offering photos with some terrible knockoffs.
Most people either love the strip or hate it but I would recommend visiting at least once for the experience. You will literally see, hear, and smell everything.
On my most recent visit they had things partially set up for the coming Formula One race. I’m sure it’s great for the race fans but for everyone else it’s just a bother. If you aren’t a race fan, avoid Vegas for a few weeks before and after.
Everyone talks about the free drinks. Yes you can get free drinks at every casino if you are gambling. Only at very slow times do you get service often enough to keep your pallet wet.

Having read mounting reviews and commentary on the declining state of Las Vegas, we wanted to visit now to experience it for ourselves.
This is a review solely of the “strip” area and not inside any of the hotels or other events/attractions etc.
To start with the positives, it’s a place like nowhere else we’ve ever been and has to be experienced to understand the scale of it all.
The physical buildings themselves and the lights and sounds that go with it all are a sensory overload, combined with the constant flow of traffic, this place is alive!
There’s such a variety of designs in all the buildings.
We had read that numbers are dropping off in Las Vegas but bear in mind we went end of September/ beginning of October, the streets were heaving every night - although I obviously can’t comment on occupancy rates in the hotels.
We had also gone to experience the surrounding area and attractions outside the city centre, so can’t really comment on the casino’s as we don’t gamble, although I understand this is probably why most folk go. But was disappointed that we couldn’t even find a roulette table for a dollar a spin just to have a laugh and immerse ourselves in it (nearest lowest stakes were about $25).
To cover off the negatives - and why we’ve only given 3 stars.
The streets are full of life’s unfortunates, many of whom are completely unconscious on the pavement from drugs. There are women stood half naked on the streets, some of whom barely looked 18, smacking people with whips and paddles. The stench of weed is everywhere - and I mean everywhere. There just seems to be no Police, Local Authority (local government ) or medical services involvement anywhere.
It is ridiculously overly expensive and there wasn’t once when we went somewhere that some form of tax or additional charge wasn’t added on to the advertised price. Basic hot food items are extortionate and the whole place just resembles a big money grab.
To sum it all up, we are so glad we went to experience it and have many good memories to bring home, but we won’t be going back.
I just can’t help thinking that the people who set Las Vegas up and developed it over the decades, would now be horrified at what the place has become.

Absolutely wonderful, so many sights, sounds and spectacles. Despite being busy and a tourist hotspot I felt remarkably safe while here. Even when bucketing it down with rain it's a great place to be.

Go in the morning around 09:30 when the crowds are not out. Everything is way over priced. It stinks of marijuana, vape and cigarettes!! Nasty!!
Afternoons and evenings it’s stupid crowded with lots of security. Street people stoned and laid out unconscious or dead. Nobody cares. Security is doing what they can and they got after someone with sharp scissors out. Police presence is very good! They did a fantastic job after the Stanley cup win. Police were out in full force when we were trying to get back to the hotel through the crowds at 10 after our show. Bad timing on our part. Thank you to the Vegas police for the work they do!!!!
We won’t visit again. Too much crime, stench from smoke and stoned street people along with drunks.

I moved to Las Vegas in 2008 and left in 2025. I honestly cannot stand the place. I tried to leave years ago, but the cost of living vs. the average hourly wage is outrageous, and my job had me doing OT out the wazoo. I'm talking about working weeks without a day off, and I still hardly was able to afford my monthly expenses. You cannot get by without a roommate or college degree-required job if you are an honest, hardworking person with morals who keeps to themselves. Las Vegas is not the place for you; the only good thing about it is that the city is open 24/7. The Strip is expensive and crowded, and you are constantly being hassled by homeless people as you go casino hopping. Most of the working class cannot stand nor afford to visit the Strip. I am not a political person at all, but there is a high concentration of PC culture feminists and LGBTQ and anti-white racism that floods most of the workplaces, and if your coworkers find out that your beliefs don't coincide with theirs or they don't like your personality, they will try to report you to management and get you fired. Many of the women have very bad attitudes, are manipulative, and are extremely coin-operated, and the men are conniving, dishonest snake oil salesmen, the one thing the men and the women have in common is being very selfish. worst drivers in the world. Everyone's either drunk, high, or both, and there are terrible schools and health care. Las Vegas is Jim Crow for honest, hardworking class people with morals.

Downtown Vegas is cheaper, but on the shady side. The main strip is more expensive, with less homeless people wandering around ( eventhough they don't bother you )

You can't enjoy walking down the strip due to all the people stopping you to solicit something......show tickets, dinner tickets. I even had a woman ask me what size shoe I wear. I never bothered to ask why. The strip gets worse every year.

The hotels are close enough to be able to visit them. The stores are great. So much construction going on, I didn't like it. The streets are cleaned up....no more homeless on the streets, that was a welcome site.

WELL, DON'T EVEN BOTHER COMING TO VEGAS. THE CORPORATE GREED HAS TRANSFORMED A ONCE BEAUTIFUL AREA INTO A METAL AND ORANGE CONE HELL HOLE ALL FOR THE F-1 GARBAGE! THE STRIP IS UGLY NOW...AND NOT ENJOYABLE FOR A STROLL IN THE LEAST. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY....AND THE LOCALS GOT SCREWED WITHOUT OUR CONSENT!

Nothing like the vegas strip. It's getting very expensive to stay on the strip. Lots of walking. The hotels look close but it's a good walk to each of them.

Colour, glitz, glamour it’s larger than life. So many great places to choose from, whether casino’s, entertainment or restaurants. A must for the traveller.

One of the most amazing streets in the world - you walk from one hotel to other and everything is glamorous and fancy and so much to see and do and even go shopping or eating - surprisingly prices on the strip were not high and we managed to eat dinner for 15 USD for two persons and food was fantastic.
Not sure about strip length as we walked from start to end and back several times and it not take so much time.

It's The Las Vegas Strip, what were you expecting?
If you want a beach holiday, sitting on the sand watching hundreds of overweight people getting their fill, then go to a beach.
But why?
When you can watch literally thousands of massively overweight people eating the biggest array of crap anywhere on the planet and slinging their money into gambling machines all blinking and shimmering and singing and wooing them into losing ever coin and note they have.
And then pay high ticket prices at night to go and see performers living the dream and earning a fortune playing to packed out audiences night after night.
It's cheap, it's tawdry, it's loud, it wears away at your very soul and you'll love it.

If you have never been to Vegas, prepared to be overwhelmed. Here is a quick guide which I hope will help you out a little. (July 2024 visit. Average temp: 40c.)
Early starts: Being so excited to be there plus the time zone change from Europe, we were up very early, 7 am. No bright city lights, but the beauty of an early walk is clear. Streets are generally very empty and the temperature is nice and low. It does however get busy and hot pretty quickly.
Walking: First thing to note is the additional steps you'll take which you didn't count on. To cross the majority of streets you will need to use overpasses. These elevated walkways can add a couple of hundred meters to your step count, and there are plenty of them. We averaged 15K steps a day and we didn't go to Vegas to hike. Make sure you have comfy walking shoes.
Water: First night i made the error of buying in a casino. 20 USD water for 3 small bottles. Find a Walgreens or CVS, 4 bucks for a large bottle.
Chapstick: I read this advice and thought 'nah'.. day 3 i could almost peel my lips off. SPF ChapStick will be a small savior.
Adapter: Make sure you have one, if not, again use Walgreens as an example, 8 USD.
Cell phone cover: I have full roaming etc, didn't work for a minute. Check your cover or you will be dependent on WIFI which can be very frustrating.
Sun protection: Like the ChapStick, you don't need to be told, 40o heat, slap it on generously.
Cheap Snacks: Again the go-to would be Walgreen or CVS. There are of course Deni's, McDonalds, etc. Scope these out to avoid paying 15-17 USD for a burger. The Earl of Sandwich is a great pit stop!
Tax: Know, that everything you see anywhere is not the real price you pay. Additional tax is added it's not 10%, but for the sake of perfect math's, its a good rule of thumb.
Map: It took 2 days to feel comfortable where things were, get a 'tourist map, it will save you a lot of time.
Deception. Not in a bad way. Just know if something looks just 5 minutes away, it's likely not, but hey, you'll see.
Enjoy,

This was our first time to Vegas and we loved it. All the glitz and glamour was well worth the cost. We loved all the bright lights and stunning views at night.
We found the strip very clean and any restrooms we used along the way were spotless as well.
We were never annoyed by the entertainment along the strip, although some of it could be very loud which really wasn't necessary. No one bothered us. If asked "would you like a picture with me" a no thank you was enough for them to continue on their way.
All stores and restaurants along the strip we visited were great. All attractions we did on the strip were well worth the money. All the freebies we saw were perfection.
All the employees we encountered on the strip in different establishments were all very kind and very nice to us. They were always helpful.
Hotels are definitely far apart and lots and lots of walking is necessary to get from point A to B. They really spared no expense when building all the hotels along the strip. Each one impressed us in many different ways.
The Grand Bazaar in front of the Horseshoe Hotel is very seedy and really does not fit on the Vegas strip. We found the alley ways dirty and lots of unsavory people walking in there. This is the only place we as a couple felt uncomfortable along the strip.
We noticed a fair amount of restaurant and bar construction going on along the strip as well. Shows that Vegas is thriving as a world class tourist destination.
We never encountered any broken escalators inside or outside. Everything was in good working order and as I mentioned before clean.
We did use taxis a few times during our stay and we found the cab drivers very unfriendly. They were very cold and sometimes even rude. All taxis were clean and air conditioned. The drivers just need a lesson in how to interact with tourists since they work in such a world class tourist spot.
We always wanted to see Vegas and we can now tick it off our bucket list. We loved our trip and we made lots of great memories. Would we go back? We would in a heartbeat. We highly recommend seeing Vegas at least once in a lifetime.

Vegas is nothing but a cheap suit - at a ridiculous price.
And you Vegas goers know it.
Overpriced. Bad food. Plastic cups.
Go to Nashville. Smaller, but Nashville is what Vegas pretends to be.

Wonderful experience when in Las Vegas Paradise. You can admire here undescribable attractions: reconstructions of Venice, Paris, New York, just to mention a few. Take your time, will need 1 whole day only to stroll on the main road, but will definitely come back there to admire the interiors, and there, you will need to plan so much extra time :)

Everything in Las Vegas happens around this avenue. The main hotels, restaurants and attractions are here. And there are two Strips: one during the day and one at night. The amount of lights you will see when walking along this avenue at night is impressive. It's the face of Las Vegas.

Bye bye to the glitzy amazing Vegas we all new and loved! I’ve been to Vegas too many times to count, and as I recently drove down the strip it saddened me. I hate hate hate the new construction with hardly any cool lights and “showy” Vegas touch! It’s gone folks. Sad. Gone are the amazing signs, inexpensive foods and rooms, free parking, reasonable table betting minimums and more! They’re pricing themselves out for the normal Joe. My kids and grandkids will never know the “real” Vegas. Whoever was in charge of making decisions regarding changes to the strip should be fired!! Save yourself the money and go elsewhere!!!!

This was a great way to appreciate the various themes of the casinos during the day. At night the lights were dazzling and water shows were impressive. Know that there is no place to sit so your best bet is to stop into a casino and put some money into a machine while you cool off and rest! It is fun to explore the different casinos and get a sense of the atmosphere. There are many places where you can meet your high end designer shopping needs.
This is walkable in that there are walkways to help cross the busy street, but it is so long that a mass transportation option is suggested if you want to go very far.

The Strip has a lot of nightlife, many huge hotels with casinos, a lot of noise, a lot of music, although there are a lot of people, some of them very intoxicated, there is a lot of security, I do not recommend it as a place to visit with children or teenagers under 18 years old.

They were getting ready for the race and lots of areas were blocked or so noisy and busy with construction of the stands and whatever else needed for a race.
We did not enjoy any of this so we opted for Ubers everywhere we went. The streets are teeming with people, just a madhouse.

We don’t come here often, however highly recommend enjoying the site’s & sound coming from the Strip! We like taking a cab if we travel too far, as it’s easier on the feet! Restaurants, shops plus seeing interesting 🤨 characters!

Viva Las Vegas! The people were really friendly and the strip has so much to offer, as does vegas. You may need a map to get out of hotels. Make sure you have enough time as we were so busy. Helicopter ride down the strip, Grand Canyon, zip line in Fremont street. Mj show was incredible. Please go to vegas.

Vegas is outrageously expensive and nearly impossible to get around for someone that can’t walk far. Views are occluded by construction for Formula One. Crowded. Unpleasant. I have been 4 times. Never felt this way on first 3 visits. Have to go off the strip, slogging through ugly construction to get $5 BlackJack. Don’t go.

Great place to visit as a couple and enjoy all that the Las Vegas Strip has to offer..There is everything you are looking for in one place like the Strip

Main street of Las Vegas where all the most popular hotels with Casinos are located. Walking it in the evening with the colors of its lights is a unique experience.

Las Vegas is for everyone even if your not a gambler, we walked from hotel to hotel just enjoying the experience and air conditioning. Felt very safe all the time day and night.
Make sure you check the times to see the fountains erupt at the Bellagio and the Volcano at the Mirage- amazing and not over crowded.
Use Walgreens and CVS for cheaper drinks to take to take in your room than hotel prices, seems to be a thing that wandering around drinking is quite popular for all ages.
Use the Deuce bus to Hop on and off, better to by a 3 day pass rather 24 hr pass.
Do compare Uber prices to local taxi's as did not seem to be same charges as UK so not always cheaper.
Be prepared to tip but we had amazing service everywhere so well worth it.
There is a free tram from Mandela Bay to save a few foot steps if walking down to the Las Vegas Sign.

It’s bright, it’s loud, it’s got grit and something for everyone. Now if you like a book holiday, chilled with no noise then don’t go to vegas!
The strip has an array of hotels, street workers, singers, lights, fountains, you name it. It’s busy in the day and even busier at night.
This was my first time in vegas and I absolutely LOVED it. Wondering up and down the strip both in the day and night you see 2 different sides to it.
Ticked off some big things and have priceless memories and I am really glad I visited, 20,000 steps per day too so not all sitting around eating my body weight in food or drinking margaritas!

It is where everything happens in Las Vegas, both day and night is wonderful, you can enter all the hotels to tour them, you have impeccable bathrooms everywhere, at night the lights is an incredible panorama and day entering the hotels to weather the heat also

Las Vegas does look very ordinary during the day, just a street of high rise hotels. It does transform at night to a colourful street of neon lights advertising the hotels, bars, restaurants and shops. It is colourful, it represents Las Vegas, which ultimately is a just night time place, shows, gambling and party town.

We spent hours just walking along the Las Vegas Strip enjoyed everything there is to see. Always something cool happening to see and very clean!!

Everyone knows about the Las Vegas Strip so to go and see it is really cool, as you can imagine though it is also super busy and a bit crazy. There are loads of highlights on the route so take some time to soak in the Vegas atmosphere.

I stopped going to the Strip a few years ago when all the casinos started charging for parking. I made the mistake of trying it again today. I prepaid for tickets to a Strip attraction, but could not go because not only was there no free parking like they used to have, but no reasonably-priced parking either. Wasted my money and two hours of my time as well. I won't make that mistake again.

Well, you have to explore the trip if you’re in Vegas- it’s part of the ‘experience’ lol. The hotels are so unique and all are so neat! but, the stores, shops and food are so over priced!

many fun things to do, walk on the strip surrounded by many Casinos with beautiful entrances such as the Eifel tower, the statue of liberty and a water fountain show are free to do I do not recommend it at night with children

This part of the city is alive 24 hours a day, shops, bars and restaurants are kept open during the early morning making it possible to party anytime. Eating in buffets, shopping or attending shows is not reduced to daytime hours, the bustle of people in the street is constant, as are street shows, music is everywhere, in the planters and walkways there are speakers and it is great to be visiting the city to beat Bruno Mars or Bon Jovi. The avenue is huge so it is not a good idea to try to do it all on foot unless you are Forest Gump, this full of bright signs and spectacular giant screens that give way to the shopping malls, bars, restaurants and shops that are part of the ground floors of the hotels. Both day and night it is worth "kicking" the avenue, regardless of everything that hotels offer, just going up and down this street is quite a sight.

Came to Las Vegas for my sister's 21st and what a way to celebrate! You must definitely can't walk from the airport to the strip, as it all seems a lot closer than it really is, but once on the strip, you can easily walk from one end to another. may take a bit of time but hey that's how you see everything and discover the little hidden gems of the strip. If you don't like walking they have a couple of monorails from different hotels to take you around and there are plenty of escalators to take you up and around the overpasses to make walking the strip more convenient. Be prepared though there are dudes trying to hand out cards and CD's and they will make you pay if you touch/ take them. Can also get really hot during the day and with the sun reflecting off the hotels and pavement so make sure to wear comfy shoes and water.

Construction!! We were not aware that the work being done in preparation for the upcoming Formula 1 race would have such an impact on our ability to walk the strip. The fountains at the Bellagio could only be seen from across the street and those views were obstructed. The volcano at the Mirage was closed. Sidewalks were much more narrow and things were really packed. I did not feel that it was overly busy but certain areas became really tightly packed. Of course, people always tended to stop in those tight areas. Still fairly easy to get around; overall very pedestrian friendly. Street performers still doing their thing.

There is everything to see along the strip. The hotels and Casinos are amazing. You need more than a day to see it all especially if you are going inside the hotels to experience their particular theme. Be sure to choose a restaurant inside any of the hotels for lunch or dinner. So many choices! We utilized the monorail to get from one area to the next. (Much less expensive than the hop on/hop off bus) and you can get a full day pass to ride all day from one end of the strip to the other. However, we did have to take a cab from the Monorail to Fremont Street. I highly recommend the Shark experience at Mandalay Bay, if you're into the Aquarium scene. It is a full on Aquarium Exhibit, in hind site however, I would have skipped the virtual portion offered seperately at the end.

Complete Rip Off , 27$ for a relegular drink, almost no winners in slot machines ( you paying for the lights and fontain shows) a slice of pizza I selling for 9 us$ , a cover of 100usd for men to enter venues Free for girls , then you see high ration of girls standing around and don't drink because there is no one to buy them a drink. Vegas has become a complete money grab from dispensaries asking 75$ for an 1/8 , to scammers at every corner. Can bring your own dri k at the pool so they can charge you 30us$ per drink, you want to get a chair for thr pool , sure it's 250$ , ypu want to buy a bottle of ahcole in a venue they range from 750 to 1500$ and tables are fro. 1k to 5 k$.
Next time we will go to an all inclusive !!

Well, the best part of this trash heap was a D+ hotel with a crap bed and crappier pull out “bed”.
Food was overpriced despite the quantity being ridiculous. Many homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks. The public transportation was very poor - it was faster to walk. There was a persistent sewer smell throughout the strip. The Vegas entertainment employees scattered throughout the strip were generally very pushy and rude. In the Ross parking lot, there’s a sign that says silver city parking only. The big “billboard” sign half way between the Ross lot and Begalmania had a Begalmania sign under the same Silver City ad and yet, we ended up with TWO cars being towed from a nearly empty lot to the tune of over $700. Would not recommend Vegas to my worst enemies. Thankfully we only had to stay for 1.5 days. We fell for the Vegas hype. Never again.

Las Vegas strip was so funnn. When I went , there was A lot of things to do like stay at hotels, eat awesome food, and go to interactive activities. My favorite thing to do there is eating. Las Vegas best food (in my opinion) is gordan Ramsey fish and any steakhouses. Over all, I’ll give it a 9/10.

Las Vegas is well worth visiting, just once in your lifetime. The hotels on the strip are architecturally wonderful, a place of light, noise and over the top in every respect!

Thanks for ruining my once a year Vegas vacation by closing the strip for a running race that I care nothing about. Essentially made the opposite side of the strip inaccessible without walking the entire length. This will be my last trip to Vegas. Planet Hollywood should've warned me before booking. Not to mention inflation hit the strip harder than other destinations. Hotel, flights and food were doubled compared to the same time last year at $450 a night for a room was hoping to enjoy myself, but not this time. Who wants to spend thousands of dollars to be majorly inconvenienced during their vacation. Anyone planning a trip I would suggest somewhere else. They may shut down the city on you.
I could've had a wonderful time had the city made them do this marathon elsewhere. 👎👎 I give -5 stars and 2 thumbs down.

Amazing place so much to do and see. Music shows, live music, a real buzz about the place. It was like visiting a different country every time visiting different hotels and casinos.

had the best time in Las Vegas the hotel was lovely The Venetian was an experience the condolor was lovely it’s a must I. That hotel was so nice definitely recommend a trip to vegas and the Grand Canyon was truly rememetable experience

We were glad that we had been to the strip twice years ago and so knew what it normally looked like.
But we were unlucky on our visit this year because there was a car race taking place that weekend.
And so various sights on the strip were either not visible due to structures or not operational. What a pity, but we made the best of it.

Loads to do. Recommend the Deuce bus which runs the full length of the strip up to Fremont Experience and Welcome to Las Vegas sign which is a short walk from the Pinball museum.
The tram is free but you do have to walk between the two sections and only covers some sections of the strip.
Spend time looking at the different themed hotels in particular Bellagio fountains, Little Venice, NewYork New York, Caesars Palace, the Wynn lake show and flamingos and turtles at the Flamingo. The Fremont experience is worth a trip. We loved the pinball museum where you can choose to play on hundreds of machines old to new for a small amount of money.
Eating out is expensive but planet Hollywood did a decent breakfast and the deli in NewYork New York a great hot pastrami sandwich. Portions are huge so in most restaurants you can share. The Italian food court in MGM is good too.
Target supermarket halfway up the strip is small but good for essentials.
Carry a drink bottle because water is supplied with all meals and drinks and you can top up.
We did a separate trip to the Grand Canyon as ideally you need a couple of nights there. Maverick helicopter tours were very good. The star gazing with a ranger was magical. The rim is very accessible on foot.
Finally re taxis. Hotels can be as cheap at peak hours as an Uber!
Cirque de soleil ONE and sphere a must visit.

The strip has gone way downhill over the years, esp. since Covid. It was a horrible bombardment of the senses…the smell of pot everywhere, panhandlers, dirty streets, nearly naked fat girls trying to pass as showgirls and trying to get you to take pictures with them, weirdos in costumes. I’ve been coming to Vegas over the past 30 years and it’s never been this bad. I won’t be coming back. It’s too bad because it has the potential to be such a fun place.

The lights are incredible when all the casinos are lit up. Visiting the last week of January it wasn't supposed to be as busy but tourism is alive and well in Vegas! We shopped, ate, stopped for photos and thoroughly enjoyed the people watching. There are no benches to my recollection so if travelling with young kids bring a stroller. If travelling with the elderly plan for stops for coffee or a beer to take it all in along the way :)

My dad and I spent about an hour just walking the strip at night, listening and watching street performers and buskers. It is amazing to take in all the lights and sights

Ridiculous prices. $12 for a 12 ounce beer at Harrah's is awful. All the street overpass escalators were broken. Streets were flooded from rain all weekend. Broken sidewalks and tripping hazards abundant. Trash everywhere on sidewalks. If infrastructure on the strip is bad, how do you expect people to return.
The Trevi restaurant at Caesars was fabulous, beautiful, and reasonably priced.
Last time there was 30 years ago....was beautiful and affordable then.
Not the case anymore.... won't be back

Enjoyed walking along the strip and visiting all the shops and other hotels along the way.
It was windy but only needed a good windbreaker to stay warm

Not worth your time or your money, Las Vegas was worth it once but now is poorly maintained and old, the hotels are aged and worn out, we stayed at The Venetian, not worth 900$ a night we paid… Just go to Dubai or Taiwan if you are looking fir similar vibe

I took my son for his 21st birthday the week of Dec 26th. I got married in Vegas 8 years ago. I love the strip. We stayed at Harrah's to be centrally located. We walked 30 miles in 3 days. We visited The Venetian ( a must see 2nd floor canal), Mirage, The Linq ( check out the Linq promenade street). Bellagio, cosmopolitan ( 2nd floor Eggslut is amazing!) Paris, Planet Hollywood, Caesars, Aria, Bally's ( skip Bally's really rundown now). New York NY, MGM Grand, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Excalibur flamingo, Palazzo. Each hotel is unique and fascinating to explore. My son and I have to be gluten free so the restaurants are all over that we are able to eat at. Vegas is not cheap anymore especially drinks on the strip.
Some of the street performers are pretty good " bucket boy," does a fun street show. The only complaint is I was floored by how many strollers and children under the age of 6 on the strip in late hours. My son was shocked at how much bad parenting. I have no idea if Vegas is attempting to market adult Disneyland to families again? Or if it was the time of year? Not sure what people do with their kids as I didn't see much to do for young children especially at 1AM.

Las Vegas at least once in a lifetime must be seen. After days immersed in the nature of the parks, a jump in the lights, in the Casinos, in the chaos there is... but above all we are fine with a couple of nights in the luxury of its hotels.
To see... and live.

There were street preachers, people who needed to be preached and also lots of bad smelling people who call this dangerous road home. The place should be struck off visitors' list.

It’s very impressive and has obviously been massively expensive to create and regularly renew/update but apart from the fountains at Bellagio it’s what you’ve seen in the media.

The strip is four miles long and most hotels are huge, but don't put a time limit on in we did eight hotels in 6 hours stopping for food and drink, people say its to far to walk its not, its just the heat so go inside the hotels and use their air conditioning.

So many lights so many hotels so many hotels, the heart of Las Vegas. This city never sleeps, but in it all there is a lot of filth, a lot of drunks, drug addicts and prostitutes. Leaflets everywhere thrown down on the street advertising their "deal".

Walked; impossible to avoid drunks, drug addicts homeless and mentally unstable people.
The new buildings “casinos” are high rise apartments. Nostalgia is being faded out.

Love the sights, especially at night. LOTS of people! Very expensive!! Avoid the 360 degree VR ‘chairs’. Three minutes of mediocre virtual reality with a cheap Quest style headset, for $35+ U.S. Go see Flyover at the former Hard Rock café, much better experience, and cheaper to boot!

The Las Vegas strip is a one-of-a-kind place in the world. There is so much to see and do, so much to look at, so much to take in and so much to enjoy. I felt safe and comfortable there. I had no issues whatsoever to speak of.I can’t wait to return.

Main street of the city where is most hotels, is also a great place for walking with excellent mobility; pavements with rolling mesh to cross the street and even lifts. Always full of people, I did a great night walk.

Absolutely never coming back. I can’t comprehend how anyone finds this place enjoyable… walking the strip is to immerse yourself in a wretched cesspool of humanity or lack there of. Everywhere you look there are homeless people screaming at the sky or touching themselves, knock-off “showgirls” trying to hustle you for a photo, addicts and alcoholics stumbling around in their own vomit, fights, and trash just thrown on the ground. Plus, there’s NO fresh air to be had. You cannot even take a breath anywhere without breathing in the foul stank of burnt marijuana as EVERYONE smokes it in public despite it being illegal to do so. It is completely overwhelming as you walk the strip. Las Vegas has sharply, sharply declined and now attracts rough crowds. Yuck!

Because if you're dancing you're not spending. If you go cram in everything then leave. If you are a Brit it will be expensive but worth doing. Once.

Visited from 22/06/23: One of the most famous roads on earth! The strip (aka Las Vegas Bvd) is the heart and soul of Las Vegas. Home to some of the most well known sights and locations in the infamous and glitzy Vegas. The strip is a very long stretch with the main focus from the Strat in the north to Mandalay Bay and the world famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign in the south. With so much to see and do, you will need several days to explore the hotels, attractions, shows and casinos on offer. Getting around on foot, public transit and road is very easy with most locations within moderate walking distance (with the aid of monorails and Ubers on occasion!). Its possible to explore the strip and enjoy all of the free entertainment on offer for at least a couple of days!

Las Vegas had never been at the top of my agenda of places to revisit but having not been here for ten years and given my husband had never been I felt it was time. Places change, some for the better, others for the worse!
We explored the external and internal architecture of the old casinos starting with The Mandalay and then moving onto Luxor, Excalibar and New York, New York. My husband was astounded by the dedication to detail, how committed the architects were to delivering something in line with the theme chosen.
We continued on another day with The Bellagio, Caesars Palace and The Forum, Paris, The Wynn and The Venetian. They are all definitely worth exploring and make sure you use the air conditioned walkways between casinos or shopping areas to avoid the heat of the street.
The Vegas I remembered had grown up in ten years. Gone were the showgirls during the daytime hours looking for business, hoping visitors would stop and pay for a photograph. The touts were no longer there in the day either giving out their endless stream of cards inviting you along to various strip clubs after dark. The city had cleaned up its act.
Maybe because more families seem to be visiting or perhaps it was the clean up that made families feel safer to visit.
The constant stream of litter that I remembered from ten years ago was gone too. Maybe ensuring the touts weren’t there in the day helped this cause.
People were still drinking on the streets, one of the attractions of this adult playground but instead of beers and lagers most visitors seem content with one of the extra long cocktails sold everywhere in long thin tubelike glasses and to be honest drinking was no longer the majority as it had been back in 2013. Las Vegas in the daytime was definitely better!
As the afternoon turned into early evening the showgirls and touts also reappeared as if they had been on a curfew but in nowhere near the amount of numbers as I’d seen previously. The showgirls in their outfits of traditional feather boas and wings with all in one leotards or thong bikinis, fishnets and high heels were now, however, being threatened somewhat by the female visitors themselves. I’d never seen anything quite like it.
There were a substantial amount of female visitors dressing how the hell they liked and no one was going to dare to comment. Regardless of size, ethnic origin. current status or age these girls were out to strut their stuff. I saw braless boobs hanging out of deep v necked dresses, slits so high you could see the lack of underwear, minuscule bikinis covered with crochet dresses and short tops and if that wasn’t enough God forbid that you were behind one of them climbing one of the many sets of stairs up to a bridge that criss crossed the busy car filled strip below. Hemlines so short that a glimpse of bare bum cheeks and occasionally more was not unusual.
Call me old fashioned but whilst the old Vegas could be a bit “in your face” this made the city a worse place to be at night and certainly not one where I would want my teenager or younger children present. I can only conclude that the skimpy outfits so often seen at film premieres, concerts and award ceremonies worn by the rich and famous and then broadcast across social media has had a massive impact and if you want to wear something like this to follow some Instagram idol I guess there are “followers” who feel where better than in the original City of Sin.

There is so much to see and do. So many activities for any occasion, nice view and shopping and live music and walking through all the hotels is very nice.

Went to Vegas in July for the past 20 years and hope for 20 years more as it a birthday trip for me and others!!! I stayed at planet hollywood!! Nice room and ate a burger at Gorden Ramsay,s!1 Had a great view! 110 was a little hot for me but great trip because seeing the friends who moved to other states!

There is so much to see and it can be too enticing if one isn't fully in control. I recommend visiting at least once in your life, but I would advise to do so while sober!

Vegas used to be a place for Adults to play, gamble and see shows. This was my 7th trip and I was very disappointed. A bottle of water is $5. There are parents with kids everywhere. The Strip is overbuilt so its hard to visit all the (formerly) wonderful hotels. It is overwhelming for sure. One thing, I did stay at Bellagio and it was a wonderful hotel.

The Strip is just that a strip full of restaurants, casinos and stores.
We enjoyed the people watching and casino hoping.
Once you’ve been here, there’s really not much else to do unless you gamble and want to catch a show.
This was our second visit, we simply hit a few places we missed the last time.

So much to see. Loved the Bellagio flower display. Had a meal there at Noodles, what a surprise it was affordable

Here’s a rewrite stripped of dashes, free of LLM phrasing, and keeping a sharp tone:
⸻
After spending a few days in Las Vegas, the most obvious takeaway is how empty the place feels. Tourism has tanked. Hotels and venues look maybe a quarter full.
You’d think they’d drop prices to bring people back. Instead, they pile on charges. You pay a resort fee, a parking fee, even for things that used to be free. A tiny water bottle at a hotel runs ten bucks. Food court meals are pushing thirty. A basic ticket to the Sphere’s 50-minute video show? One hundred ten dollars.
Ask the front desk for a fan or a basic toothbrush and they’ll just say no. Housekeeping won’t show up unless you request it, and good luck with that—be ready to sit on hold for ten minutes.
This isn’t a minor slump. It looks more like a collapse waiting to happen. Tourists want a deal, or at least the illusion of one. Right now, Vegas offers the opposite—an expensive, hollow experience with none of the charm or energy that made it worth the trip.

The strip at dark becomes dangerous and not fun to walk anymore I highly recommend you do not do it after dark it becomes as dangerious a place as anywhere in the worst places in the world

Most of the strip is not crossable at street level, crossing requires use of pedestrian bridges access to which is via stairs, lift or escalators (when they are working). Unfortunately some of the escalators and bridges are designed with no thought to vertigo sufferers as they have full glass walls (which I struggled with) the bridges that are built with a wall (lower half) topped by a glass viewing panel were easier for me to deal with.
I am not sure there is an answer, should I return to Vegas I may try hypnotherapy as a last resort.

Visiting the Las Vegas Strip was an absolute thrill! From the dazzling lights to the endless entertainment, every step felt like walking through a movie set. The energy here is unmatched—casinos buzzing, street performers everywhere, and the iconic fountains at the Bellagio are a must-see.
What really made the trip smooth was getting my show tickets through saverseats.store. The process was super easy, and I got great seats without any hassle. Highly recommend it if you want to skip the long lines and enjoy Vegas stress-free.
Whether you’re into nightlife, fine dining, or just sightseeing, the Strip has it all. I can’t wait to come back and explore even more!

Unique architecture! Thats the only good thing! WAY to PRICEY from paying to park everywhere, food, drinks, etc. homeless people sleeping EVERYWHERE or just hanging out all over the strip panhandling!! The smells if horrible, trash all over the place! Not one police officer in site, random people coming up to you and placing jewelry in your hand and trying to make you pay for it because “you” touched it, girls coming up and asking to take pictures with you for 80$ a piece, just tons of people trying to force you to but outrageously priced items everywhere. Signs inside and outside the casinos are not very clear on where you are supposed to go. Not to mention walking from your hotel parking through the entire casino with all you bags is not the easiest thing to do. Definitely has become a very unappealing, dirty, smelly, expensive quick weekend trip.

Sometimes in life, for professional reasons, you are forced to travel that you would never otherwise make. And in addition to the negative experiences that actually occur, which one had already expected, one then receives confirmation in this way that one was not so wrong in his prejudices after all.
I definitely didn’t get excited about Las Vegas and the Strip. Besides a classic "bigger is better" architectural style, which you can admire more beautifully and new, but equally senseless also in Dubai, there is actually nothing worth seeing. Except for the phone numbers smeared everywhere, promising the tourist sex, drugs and other things when called. Why this city has received the reputation of "sin city" is not understandable. Every suburban program in Hamburg is more exciting...
Why two stars? Anyone who has the chance to experience the Strip in the rain will already be offered a special spectacle. A road construction like in a developing country creates a spectacular lake landscape, which leads to wonderful chaos thanks to a lack of sewerage systems....

🇦🇬🇻🇮🇦🇬🇻🇮Went Wrestlemania 2025 in vegas baby💯was amazing😛😜🤪will go again. LOTS of fun n eatin n drinkin - n- clubin

From the half dozen times I was here in the early 2000s, until my most recent trip in March 2023, Vegas and the Strip are not what it used to be. I am very glad that I spent the money to go to Vegas, as I have not been in over a decade. The first few times I was in Vegas, we would walk the Strip, as there were so much to see and do, especially with the free entertainment shows outside each resort, however, that is all changing.
The Pirate Ship at Treasure Island is gone, the Volcano eruption show at the Mirage is set for demolition this year, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bellagio Fountains are next on the list, as Lake Mead inches closer to dead pool. Also, from broken escalators, to homeless sleeping on pedestrian overpasses, to the dirtiness of the stairwells, the majestic of the Strip has lost once what it was. If you have not been to Vegas, then you need to go soon, and I would still recommend walking the Strip during the day and again at night, you should still have a decent experience.
With the lack of remaining water from Lake Mead to sustain future power generation and flow of water at Hoover Dam, more water restrictions will be imposed on Vegas and possibly power restrictions, I can only see it getting worse for Vegas and Southern Nevada.

It was great to see the famous hotels along the Strip but as many others comment, the rest was without character (with the exception of the overpowering urine smell near the Harrah hotel). It was safer than I was expecting and the hustling limited to people giving out leaflets. The heat was like a sauna where you feel cooked inside before you even sweat so don't underestimate 95F.
There were several homeless people, most of them were too poorly to beg.
We followed along behind a Grandma with their grandson who was struggling to eat the enormous ice-cream pot they had. Very kindly the boy asked his grandma to give one of the ladies living on the street his ice-cream. Whatever her true reasons she instructed her grandson to throw it in the bin as the person didn't deserve it and it would only encourage them. In that single moment it summed up for me this place, so much impressive wealth and waste for the deserving, nothing for those who don't deserve due to their past traumas, mistreatment and hard times.
Good news is the person did get the ice-cream, out of the bin with a massive smile on their face.

To walk this famous avenue is to immerse yourself in a constant show. Every step reveals something new and amazing. It is fantasy come true, where the impossible seems possible in a display of imagination and opulence.

I always tell people this: I will walk on the strip once, maybe even twice. Never more than that. For young teens and families, the Strip has some wonderful activities, such as the Bellagio Fountains. However, the atmosphere while walking on the Strip is less than pleasant. As it is Vegas, scammers await you at every corner. I’ll leave you the decision.
Verdict: I highly recommend taxis.

Prominent Adult fun Hub: Kind of woo! experience
Really enjoyed! Too many things to do, you can create your own itinerary.

Just got back from Vegas...its not the same anymore. Way to damn expensive, homeless have increased and scattered everywhere and most disgusting of all was the smell of skunk weed. Prices are off the charts for anything you want to see there. Slots sucked big time. My take of this, do an all inclusive trip somewhere else.

Very good place
Everyone knows about the Las Vegas Strip so to go and see it is really cool, as you can imagine though it is also super busy and a bit crazy. There are loads of highlights on the route so take some time to soak in the Vegas atmosphere.

Visit vegas not for gambling just a curiousity as how the place was.We go around from Fremont to the Strip with just public transport called the Deuce bus which stop on every main place on the strip like the Strat thru the New york New york.
At the very end of the strip you will find the famous sign of Welcome to Las Vegas which is one of must to see and had a picture.
Its nice to visit the Strip at night time when all lights glitters. One of well known Hotel Casino got a very fascinating water fountain light show every night which is must to see.
Had a good time in here from experience to foodie.

There was rubbish all over the streets. Some walkways have been blocked for construction. The Uber pickup is located in a hotel's heated parking garage.

Trip was amazing! Not like it used to be, but gettng back there. Lot's of new things to do, and the Sphere is definitely worth checking out.

This is my 17th visit to the strip, and it's always a bit different every time I go. I always love it but I like to mention a few things that myself, and others, may not like. The big one this visit was the street performers. There's always plenty of buskers on the strip but this time we saw several musicians. Whether they were good or not didn't matter because they were always very loud and distracting. Some were set up right in front of outdoor restaurants - Mon Ami Gabi for example. I didn't eat at any of these restaurants due to the noise.

If your in Vegas the "strip" is a must thing to see & do! If you like to gamble or shop, just site seeing with some people watching it's the thing to see & do! Let's face it we all knew what was here for us to see when we came to Vegas! (LOL)

Recent trip April 23-27, 2023. Las Vegas blvd. is completely under construction and not usable traffic jams everywhere. Should you have to take a taxi to or from the strip be prepared to sit usual travel time maybe 10 mins. now at least 30. Bally's frontage is also under construction and the connecting overhead bridges are block off (without warning you will get stuck at a dead end and have to retrace your steps, and there are a lot of steps). Up escalators don't work and the stairs are 2 stories high.

The strip has a reputation that needs to be experienced at least once. Been to Vegas five times seven years and walking the strip has been a must. Annoyances are the weed smoke smell, strip club and escort promoters, and homeless not supported wit encouragement to find better shelter.

We rented a car to visit neighboring areas. We wanted to see what it was like outside the strip since we spent most of time at the hotel and Sphere. We took a drive down the strip on our way back and were shocked at how run down it was. We really hadn't explored it during our last 2 stays. We were there in 2019 and boy has it hit the skids since then.
Most all the hotels looked like they needed a refresh and this was just from the outside. I've read about some of them, rooms etc. and it wasn't good Horrible looking restaurants, more like dives. They are going to tear down the Mirage and it sits there deserted. Prices are so high on everything, I do not know where all this is headed. It costs a fortune to eat and stay at the high end hotels and that has it's own disappointments. We saw homeless and lots of filth. This truly is a sham!.

It was cool, neat, scary but good, busy. Would I come back? Probably not. I wanted to go just to say I was there and that was enough.

Our trip to the Las Vegas area was to visit the local canyons in Arizona, and Utah. Since we flew into Las Vegas, we stayed here one night and walked the famous Las Vegas Boulevard, also known as The Strip. Lots of imposing high rise casino hotels, each with their own interesting indoor sights. Gaudy and chintzy but worth a visit if you're here to see the grand splendor of the opulent and rich hotels and casinos.
Sadly today, it's filled with smokers and drinkers, loud and gross, and anything/everything that has to do with casinos is overpriced. A coffee at a Starbucks on the Strip is $7, and a foot-long Subway sandwich is $18 - I found this ridiculous. Instead, if you want a good meal, walk or drive a few miles off the strip to get your Starbucks coffee for $3.
We stayed off the strip in a gorgeous apartment-style hotel with free parking and all the amenities you could wish for. Walked 2 blocks to the Strip and got to see everything, but didn't have to deal with the noise and smells when it came to sleeping.
Bellagio Hotel is my favorite - with their fountain show every 30 minutes on the hour, great restaurants (we ate at the Harvest) and Chihuly glass exhibit.
All the casinos are different in their own way. We didn't gamble at all but had a nice enough time walking around and taking in the sights.

Massive and lots of things to do. Enjoyed just walking from one hotel to the other. Loved the dancing fountain of Bellagio, lots of IG FB pic opportunities. Check out the Fashion Show mall, Cosmopolitan, so many point of interests. Museum of Illusion and watch Shin Lim show, Michael Jackson Cirque show. Loved Eataly … lots of good restaurants.

My wife and I have been to Vegas a few times. We went to see what was new. We stayed at Mirage. We were honestly shocked at what the prices have become…..on everything!!! It’s like they are going to get every dollar from you before you leave..
Even the rooms have a added on FEE that only the high rollers get waived. The rest of us “pay for the privilege “” of traveling to the desert!! I’ll never go back.. I can travel 3hrs to Atlantic City and stay 3 days and be treated well…. I don’t need to go to Vegas to be fleeced.

there are those who consider Las Vegas and all its attractions just a big business for tourism, and others who remain fascinated by the attractions, especially at night - but the Bellagio fountains are truly remarkable!-). If you're not a gambler, a day's visit is more than enough (but with the strip, don't miss downtown).

You will definitely get your walking in here! And if you need to hatch Poke eggs... won't have any problems getting in steps and kms! The strip has so much to offer- casinos, shows, food, drinks, shops...

loved the views and sights but it was colder than we thought for las vegas will come again when it will be warmer

Whether you're into gambling, fine dining, shopping, or just people-watching, there’s something for everyone. Iconic landmarks like the Bellagio Fountains, the Venetian Canals, and the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas make it a must-visit.

Despite how crazy Vegas gets the strip is so well maintained. I never had any issues with trash or being able to walk. There's always a lot of construction so walking your have to cross back and forth from each side depending on which stairs or walkways are closed. We learned on the last day to use the bus system. They have a 3-day pass that makes traveling up and down the strip so much easier and less physically exhausting and runs 24/7 in both directions and to Fremont street and the airport

Las Vegas strip is very intriguing especially at night. There is so much to walk , watch and wonder what is really going on around this place besides tourists, the homeless and street performers.

An amazing experience. So much to do and see. Unfortunately the experience was marred by the Formula One set up. I’d recommend if you’re not there for the F1, that you don’t go in November.

My husband and I will not be going back to the Las Vegas strip anytime soon. Things are changing. We used to really enjoy Las Vegas, but the prices on the strip are way beyond our means now. No matter where we went, the prices were astronomical. When we have to pay $30 to $40 for a fast food meal, that's too much. We talked to a Lyft driver who said residents go nowhere near the strip unless it's to work. We were there during the week and into the weekend. The crowds have dwindled.

Wow ! So many people on the strip!
Looks like Vegas is growing and growing.
Good for them. I will keep coming back!

Last time I was in Vegas was 25 years ago . It’s a mixed bag but not much between the mega rich and the homeless . Food very expensive. Didn’t feel safe walking about . Some of the street “entertainment “ was seedy to say the least - young stoned girls in bondage gear - left feeling quite sad . Hoping not to return anytime soon .

After sunset the Strip becomes one of best places to visit in Nevada Light shows are amazing Useful to use the Monorail to get to main attarctions

Where do I even begin? It's like this surreal, over-the-top world that's both thrilling and exhausting. The bright lights, massive hotels, and constant hustle are a sensory overload. Sure, it's got glitz and glamour, but it's also crowded and chaotic. The diversity of things to do and see is insane – from catching a mind-blowing show to indulging in some of the best food you'll ever eat. But, here's the kicker – it's expensive! Gambling can drain your wallet faster than you can say "jackpot," and those fancy cocktails aren't cheap either. Plus, the pushy promoters and street hawkers can get annoying real quick. It's a love-hate relationship, really. Las Vegas isn't for the faint of heart, but it's an experience everyone should have at least once in their life.

We visited here 12/15-12/17/24. the streets are still a mess from the F1 race so driving the strip is awful.
You can't use the sidewalk in front of the Bellagio, so watching the fountains is harder, the construction on the sidewalk near Paris makes the walk too crowded.
Overall, the strip from the Paris up to the Venetian should be avoided

Don't be shy to dip into your pocket and get the 3 day bus pass. Takes you to the outlet stores at both ends of the bus route. Also Freemont Street, Pawn Stars, many other tours and get off at all of the Casio's along the strip. There are two bus transfer hubs (one at either end) which gives you access to side routes as well.) Go online and print out a map in advance then plan your routes accordingly. Since COVID, there is no longer an express bus from the strip to Freemont Street therefore you're on the DUCES and it's many stops but the route isn't that bad. Chat with the many other tourists on the buses as well as the local residents about places to visit and or eat. $8.00 for a 24 hour period but the 3 day pass eliminates the need for getting a daily pass. Ticket machines accept cash & cards. IF you have problems with the machines or need directions, staff were very courteous and helpful with information however they cannot help much with ticketing issues. There is a 702 # to call if you have problems.

Most of the escalators to get people to and from the elevated crosswalks were not functioning. I had to share elevators with sleeping homeless people. A lot of construction going on.

great place even so diamond clubs have been taken out there is so many places at good prices and the great food can not wait to go back soon and very clean can not say enough we love the flamingo

I was so blown away with my first visit to Vegas! There’s just countless options of things to do. Even if you’re not a gambler (which I definitely am not) there’s still so much to do. I think Vegas has realized that the newer generations don’t care as much about gambling as the previous generations so they’ve been trying to shift into more shows and entertainment. I don’t even know where to start (check out my other reviews). The Big Apple Coaster was a blast, Stranger Things Store is a must-do if you’re a fan of the show, The Linq Promenade was a cool spot, and it’s just mind blowing walking through all of the hotels and casinos. Another great thing I didn’t realize is there’s amazing resorts for all kinds of budgets! If you wanna really treat yourself to a luxurious/expensive stay, then choose Belaggio, Mirage, Resort World, Wynn, The Venetian, Caesars Palace. If you don’t plan on staying in the room much and don’t wanna spend as much on your stay but still wanna enjoy a cool spot, then go Flamingo, Luxor, Excalibur, New York New York, Mandalay Bay. Every single hotel has something really cool and special to offer!

Beautiful and busy, fun. Lots to do and see. From cozy shops to street musicians and of course the casinos.

The smell of weed is overwhelming every where you go and some of the ugliest women who should never be dressed as showgirls trying to scam tourists.

There are plenty of famous photo spots that are sure to get you excited, including the Bellagio Fountains that everyone has seen on TV at least once, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the skyscrapers and roller coasters of New York, the lions at MGM, the Sphinx of Egypt, and more.
If you have time, explore both during the day and at night to enjoy different atmospheres.
I walked to Bellagio, the meeting point for the OP tour, at 2am, and there were quite a few people on the streets, including families, so I didn't feel unsafe.

Ok as mentioned below the F1 construction site spoils the strip with all the construction blocking views and the flow of the street. Ambling through the hotels Venetian , Bellagio and Ceaser worth it as a one off for a sanitised Disney take on Europe and its history. Strong consistent smell of weed annoying as are fat girls in skimpy outfit and feathers trying to scam a photo. Nothing cheap so beware of drink and food stops

It has been a few years, but that said, this place has gone crazy. Food and drink are unreasonably expensive. By that, I mean we arrived and were finding our way through a casino and felt we needed a break. We stopped at the nearest bar and ordered two margaritas without asking for the cost which turned out to be a surprise when we got the $52 bill. We thought that maybe we were duped but as it turns out, that is the norm here. Shows, bars, etc. were found to be this way. Just be sure to ask the cost prior to ordering so you're not surprised as I was. I dislike doing that for multiple reasons, but you should if you're not past the point of caring about costs. I can afford it, thankfully, but it leaves a bad enough taste that I don't want to come back. Sad because we have had many good memories here in Las Vegas, but I absolutely despise being taken advantage of. Good luck, Vegas, without me. And yes, I am serious. Lots of things to do in our world without you.

It`s not really possible to sum up the strip in one review. 3 or 4 miles of huge casino resorts, free shows such as the Bellagio fountains & mirage volcano, (be quick, it `s going this year, cafe`s, bars, shops, etc are what`s on offer. Everywhere is further away than it looks, It can take 10 minutes to walk past just one of the big resorts. Wear comfortable shoes & clothes and stop off for drinks along the way, and if you decide to explore any of the big hotels, allow at least an hour for each. We enjoy picking a street-side cafe or bar and people-watching for a while before heading off to explore further.

There is a lot to see along the long street. It's worth stopping by the hotels along it - the wonderful interiors are colorful.

It's just crazy, we visited a few hotels, walked the strip, day and night, you have to do it once, you love it or you hate it, but you have to love the noise

Totally crazy environment where most things are artificial. If you're in Las Vegas, of course you should go to the Strip, that's where it happens. There is a lot to look at, all kinds of restaurants for all tastes. I found it difficult to digest all the impressions.

If you walked from the welcome to Las Vegas sign (unofficial start of the strip) to the Strat hotel and casino (unofficial finish of the strip) it is literally 5 miles. And if your brave enough and carried on to Fremont it is another one and a half miles, so six and a half miles altogether. We managed this on the first day but it was March and the weather was sunny and warm around 23-24 so bearable!!
However it can and does get up too the 40”s so be warned and even the distances between casinos is mind blowing!! My wife walked 16 miles on the first day mostly between resorts and casinos!!
That’s the thing with the strip you just can’t walk down it, it has been designed for you to be railroaded in to casinos, shopping malls, food courts etc. so be prepared for this it can get really disorientating. The cynics amongst us would think that they have done this on purpose.🤔
The non-cynics will know that this is exactly why they’ve done this😂
It’s a bit of a side show as you walk along you are constantly hassled from Las Vegas show girls or half naked men and women for photos with them (usually $20 for this privilege)
Guys and girls offering you tickets from helicopter rides to show tickets. Hair and beauty products the list seems endless to be honest and it can get very annoying.
However my advice is to just say in a firm but polite manner “ No thank you” and hold your ground, again a firm and polite “ No thank you” they usually give up by the second or third no thank you.
I went with a attitude of “No” and this really seem to upset some of them along the way and a couple of times I was told off about my attitude!!
“No need to be disrespectful man” I heard a couple of times so I toned it down to a simple “no thank you” and this seemed to be the happy medium😂
If you do walk the entire strip be very mindful that between the Strat and Fremont street ( about another mile and a half) there is what I would describe as a bit of a “no man’s land” it was just a little bit sketchy and we kept looking around and wondering why we were the only ones walking along ( not completely alone there where other couples and tourists around wondering what we were all doing there but only a few I think we all didn’t get the memo😂)
If you do travel up and down the strip then the most common way is the Deuce bus $8 for 24 hours or around$3 a journey!!
It does however get really busy and most of the time your stood up and some days depending on how busy it is, can take over an hour just to get from one end to the other.
Ubers are readily available and for vegas really inexpensive!!
However we found a gem in transport and that is the mono rail this travels between the Sahara and MGM grand it’s about 3 miles long and it’s off the beaten track really cheap I think it was around $3
A ride But the best thing about this journey is, it will take you right past the sphere and at night I don’t think you could get a better view.
✌️❤️

Disney on steroids but without the rides. A place to visit to tick off bucket list but crassy, over hyped, and expensive. Everything is so over the top. Aplace to visit, but not to return to.

Fantastic! Beautiful, crazy, artificially yes but sooo awesome! Everyone should visit Las Vegas once in a lifetime at least, whether you gamble or not. Just wandering around through all the amazing buildings, watching all the people and soaking up the energy is worth it. Plus, it's free! Tip: walk through the hotels in the heat instead of out on the street as much as possible. The hotels/casinos are open to enter, have long indoor passages with shops/restaurants.

Bad time to go to Vegas. Formula One race coming in November and with the construction the strip has been destroyed!!! Very disappointing and a wasted trip.
when all is over and everything has been dismantled and put back to normal, go in January 2024.

Only here for one night, and honestly that was enough for us.
Had a wander through several of the resorts, Venetian, Caesar’s, Bellagio etc, yes they look fantastic, but everything very expensive and the streets so busy and dirty.
Can say we’ve seen it but don’t plan on going back, so many other lovely places to see in US.

Flew into Vegas on a Saturday morning; then, got a rental on Monday morning to head off on the next leg of our vacation. Not into gambling, drinking or partying - just wanted to see the sights. I wasn't for sure if it would be enough time for us to get the full effect of Vegas; but it definitely was. We enjoyed seeing all the glitz and glamour the strip had to offer that we've spent our whole lives seeing on TV and in the movies. However, there was a major downside: it's difficult to get from point A to point B - especially when half of the outdoor escalators weren't running and the temps were pushing 100°. The hotels and casinos were beautiful; but we got lost a few times and couldn't find our way out. We didn't eat at any fancy restaurants, saw one Vegas show (Cirque Du Soleil "O"), did the Big Bus day tour (👎) and night tour (👍) and stayed at the Bellagio. All in all for 2 adults/2days, we spend about $1K a day (only $8 spent in the casino). Overall, we had fun. Two days was perfect for us. Neither one of us has a desire to return. FYI: the heat can be brutal. We drank a ridiculous amount of water.

There is hardly anything more fascinating to see than the Strip and the world of casinos. The contrast to the desert landscape outside is also incredible. The best time is from late afternoon to evening. However, there is a lot going on there. But for good restaurants, and there are many, a reservation is essential.
Be careful, everything is expensive.

So many different things go do on the Las Vegas Strip. Casinos, shopping, food, drink, etc. There is something for everyone!

Celebrating New Year’s in Las Vegas was an experience like no other. The energy of the city was electric, with crowds filling the streets to watch the fireworks. The mix of high-end restaurants, shows, and lively bars made it a unique way to welcome the new year.

It is, surely, very lavish and interesting.
It is very nice, to walk, not to miss any, of the beautiful representations, which many, important, hotels present.
See the fountains of Bellagio or the many others

The Las Vegas Strip is a magical mix of lights, energy, and unforgettable sights that my family and I thoroughly enjoyed. From iconic landmarks to world-class dining, every moment offered something unique. The dazzling displays, live entertainment, and luxurious ambiance made for a fantastic experience we can’t wait to relive!

Very fun, with lots of things to see and experience. Explored midday and at night. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing, and keep a couple of fold-up shopping bags for impromptu souvenirs and other things you may pick up along the way.

A whole lot of fun. Great atmosphere. Never could you possibly be bored. Pretty grand with incredible things to see. Street artists (especially young women wearing next to nothing) wanting a photo would constantly approach you which was irritating. Tourists traps everywhere waiting to take your money. But I grew wise to it quickly and after the first 48 hours I was no longer fooled. Be prepared for highly exaggerated prices. As a result I can not give it 5 star - but it's definitely worth seeing to believe.

It is really hard to describe the strip, it is a great place with about anything you could want. The casinos/ hotels are all over the top and offer a different vibe. There is a lot to see and don’t be fooled by the actual distance between places, it might look close but it can be quite a walk just from one to the next. It is a sight to see and really comes alive at night.

The Strip is a great experience and remains constantly clean with a good amount of staff support in its upkeep. You can spend hours just checking out the delights.

Going to Vegas and not spending an evening walking the Strip is like going to New Orleans and not spending time on Bourbon Street. You simply have to do it, in spite of the heat and all the strange things and people you see along the way. I was surprised on this trip, however, with all the construction and the Rodeo Drive transformation that seems to be taking place. Many of the tacky shops and motels are gone with signs advertising that many of the more upscale brands will be opening and replacing them. There is scaffolding and construction on almost every block, but it’s still a lot of fun.

Very expensive for everything here. Like ridiculous price on every day things. Homeless people everywhere. It's sad really. Can't believe in this day and age they still allow smoking indoors. Disgusting smell and so bad for everyone. Feel bad for the employees as they are stuck having to smell and breath it. Pretty sure I won't be returning.

I love the colorful array of lights from all the buildings. I walk up and down the streets observing the lights at night So many casinos and places to eat on the strip

With the side walks closed due to the set up for the F1 race, it was like a maze walking up and down the strip. Also, was not able to see the Bellagio fountains. Too bad.

It has a wonderful environment to be explored. We really had great time over there together with some guided tours . Specially streets were so clean and the building are impressive

Our journey from Colorado to Nevada was amazing
We landed in Las Vegas, stays for for a 6 days , see a lot during the day and especially at night, however we lost appetite to this city, too much of hassle, crime and a lots of people living on the streets. Nothing was done for a 25 years we visited first time.

We all dreamed one day watching TV of one day going to Vegas, well there it is strip it is the excessive of all these casinos just as big as each other, these tourist attractions, these peoples from the strangest to the most basic that you meet randomly on a street, this city that lives day and night is impressive

Less weed than previous trip so that was nice.. too many broke escalators for 100 degree torment ..lol but yes, the strip is vibrant and like nowhere else in the world.. be smart about beggars abs street vermin ... in general more police walking around would be nice

The Las Vegas Strip is an absolute spectacle! Walking down the boulevard feels like stepping into another world, with dazzling lights, themed hotels, and incredible energy at every turn. From the fountains at Bellagio to the Eiffel Tower at Paris, it’s a blend of glamour and entertainment. The sheer variety of shows, restaurants, and casinos ensures there’s something for everyone. It’s busy and chaotic, but that’s part of the charm. Whether you’re there for nightlife, sightseeing, or just soaking in the atmosphere, the Strip is an unforgettable experience.

What can I say... it's the Las Vegas strip. Ton of construction, people, and people pandering for money either just by begging or by photo ops. No shortage of anything to do but is overpriced. It's also easy to get turned around with all the pedestrian overpasses. Great experience overall but will plan to explore other areas of Vegas next time

It’s hard not to appreciate the Las Vegas strip because finally we came here exactly for it! the sheer size of a city that lives 24 hours a day, casinos, incredible hotels, replicas of cities, monuments and also many attractions... the madness of a city permanently lit up where all extremes are present and everything is allowed. To see at least once in his life.

Especially after dark a fascinating light spectacle of millions of LEDs. Every hotel / casino, every sight is illuminated. Las Vegas Boulevard South is the central street of Las Vegas and a must-see. All major hotels are located on this road - and many of the sights.

I definitely recommend going in April as it is always too hot in the Summer. It wasn't too crowded and the lines weren't that long. Vegas will always have a place in my heart.

We don't gamble but you have to go to Vegas at least once in your life. We followed a list of 97 free things to do in Vegas and it was worth the walk to go into all the hotels and check everything out.

Must visit when even around Las Vegas. Great location with many attractions and many more shopping malls, casinos, and more. During North Summer time, it is hot even at night.

The strip is something to see. It is very special especially by night.
Do not miss it, you will enjoy it.

Both day and evening top
Lots to see Both outside and inside. Strolling along the many paths and shopping centers. Walk from casino to casino and watch your eyes. If you have difficulty walking, it is a bit of figuring out how to walk, you can not cross the road everywhere and there are bars of escalators that you can use, many of these are also stationary
I think because of the heat. You can often go through a shopping center or casino.

Just returned to Las Vegas,14 yrs ago last visit, stayed at caesars palace, this time stayed at the Luxor, upgraded to the tower room, arrived after long flight approx 11 hrs from Gatwick, soon as we checked in we were asked for tax $233 +$200 dollars deposit in case we damaged our room( we are in our 60s ha)
The room was ok,to be fare a bit grubby, the queen beds were lovely and comfortable, safe was in the drawer under the tv,
we had a bath, and shower in the bathroom,
We went for a walk along the strip, wear sensible shoes, the hotels are so far apart, although we were tired, we managed to walk 21000 steps, we discovered popeyes a lovely cheap place to eat, next to Planet Hollywood,we ate chicken sandwich, with cheese, bacon, also chips and ordered a Pepsi 2meals with a drink approx $32 , lovely and tasty very good value ,we also discovered another popeyes at the Exculabar hotel, drinks were very expensive in the hotels ,free at the casinos, we tipped around $5 dollars between us for 2 beers,, we were staying a week, we purchased a ticket online for the deuce bus, $20 each for 3 days,up and down the strip , to the shopping outlet,,then to freemont street, loved it there , we went downtown several times, went in every casino gambled, won and lost, had a great time 44 deg very hot,
Would like to add bring plenty of money to spend, the hotels were beautiful,

Be extremely careful on the strip! We visited the strip many times but this was the worst. A very large man deliberately bumped into and brushed up against my minor granddaughter. After that mickey mouse tried to hit on her to go partying. The first one took off. Mickey mouse got a attitude adjustment. Please be careful. By the way both incidents happened by coke cola world
Not the Vegas I use to love!
I have not been here in 20 years and I’m fine waiting another 20 to return! Not the Vegas I remember! Very overpriced and overcrowded on the weekends. Go during the week if you can! The smell of pot was all over the streets. Just not for me! $1000 weekend I could have gone to the beach for a week!
