Awesome views

By Heather |

There are three different viewing platforms, all of which are included in your ticket purchase. The views are breathtaking and there is a nice gift shop as well.

Amazing the price was really affordable and there were no bcp people. Plus there was no wind

By Inspire10072856351 |

Amazing , I loved this activity it was beautiful . Moreover it was really not very expensive and there were no bcp people

By Maria Jose M |

Very nice, we loved it.
The view is spectacular, the organization excellent and the complete experience is totally worth it. Super recommended, one of the best viewpoints in New York. ✨

By Patrick |

Very nice view over all of Manhattan with good views of the Empire State Building. We booked tickets for a certain time beforehand, but were then on site a little earlier and could also check in so easily.

Consider the $5 tour as well!

By centralvic |

We were here in October, and just walked up for tickets in the late morning, as we didn't want sunset or sunrise views.
First, we took the $5-extra optional tour about the history of Rockefeller Place. We weren't interested in the studio tour, but on this hour long tour, we learned about the Rockefeller family, the building itself (including the artwork) and walked around the ground floor. I hadn't known about this tour, we just chose it when suggested by the ticket seller, but it ended up being a great surprise find for our trip.
When we finished, it was TOTR time. I'd chosen this viewing platform (only planned on doing one, due to prices!) because of the iconic view of the Empire State Building. On a clear day, it was just what I'd hoped. :) It was easy to take good photos from all levels, not just of the ESB, but from all sides.
It was exactly as I'd hoped, and my photos prove it. You don't need to see them- they are as typical as everyone else's!
This is the only viewing platform we did, but I'd certainly say that this one is worth it.

at the top

By cristina l |

excellent experience at the top with stunning views of NY, my husband and children completely mesmerized by the surprise I had prepared for them

By bigshoes79 |

Amazing views of Manhattan and New York. Very well organised and controlled. Had a lovely beer at the top in nice comfortable chair overlooking the Manhattan skyline. Highly recommend.

Good

By Erika O |

Scenery is amazing.I could see both Central Park and tower. I definitely come here again with my family. And try another floor.

Fantastic Experience

By Dan H |

What a fantastic experience from the minute you walk through the door. We had great weather and the views were spectacular. The Beam was a great attraction and the photos were brilliant. Amazing staff and a well thought out NYC attraction, one not to miss! For anyone visiting between now and Christmas, if you buy one of the beautiful snow globes make sure to pack in your hold luggage. We stupidly assumed we could carry on as hand luggage as it was fragile, security at JFK had other ideas and smashed it to bits!

August night at the rock

By Stephen R |

Amazing views. Beautiful building with lots of art deco architecture and features. Super friendly and helpful team working here too.

All were happy

By Vanessa S |

Hot chocolate was the bomb. Teenage daughter said it was awesome, I cried. Beautiful views! Lots of pictures! Was totally worth it. Admission was reasonable. Stayed awhile.

By Marc G |

Great view, from where to see Empire State and the rest of the big block!! Great recommended, don’t miss it!! Go for it!!!!

Disappointed by The Beam especially the price

By Lili M |

Hello, I put a star for the person not kind at all at the desk for the photos of The beam.
Extra $15 to get on the beam, okay.
We'll give you a QRcode to get the picture.
But you have to pay $45 to have it!!!
And digitally, there's a watermark.
It was not indicated anywhere...
Too bad.
And get barked at because we take out our phone at the counter to ask for information, even more shame!

must go!

By Chloe N |

great experience! The vue is amazing! Coffee place is amazing and the bean is a must do! Definitely the best view in New York!

Exceeded expectations!

By Isabella C |

Definitely exceeded my expectations! There’s 3 levels of observation decks with a whole city view and we went at 4pm to see the sunset and the night view - it was surprisingly not that crowded at all. The staff were all lovely especially Nankoo who gave us true New York hospitality!!

Uncomplicated, very nice service and incredible memories. We would recommend everybody who is visiting New York to go to the top of the Rock.

Great

By Tejpal B |

Great experience , all around, friendly, views, food, etc, would recommend to everyone and anyone with family !!!!!!!!

By Chris V |

We Visited on the 20th of July and really had a bad experience with the staff and security at the top.
We did multiple tours while in New York City and the Top Of The Rock turned into a nightmare. We purchased the Skylift tickets and were not told about photos being taken while on the attraction.
The attendant realized this and asked a supervisor if we could redo the attraction and the supervisor said absolutely when the line went down. This is were the nightmare began. When we came back to redo the attraction a staff member named John said it wasn't possible and we would have to take it up with the photo department. John was very rude and refused to listen to our concerns. We called the original lift attendant back over and he confirmed that a supervisor had said we would be going again.
This was 80 year birthday trip that was ruined by a non compassionate employee that should not be working the front lines.. This was all over a 3 minute ride. Please visit the Empire State Building..

Perfect! Don't second guess your reservation.

By kat42592015 |

So much fun, great views and people who work there. This was a great experience and on my bucket list. We had the best weather and buying tickets on our phone was great too. Very easy.

Charming

By Luigi A |

We stayed here on 28/11, to be able to see the sunset I recommend getting tickets for 3:00 pm. We took them for 15:30 and we arrived up to sleep, between entrance, queues, routes, photos and elevators you lose precious time. once up you can access 3 different levels, higher and higher. needless to say that a strong wind blows and it's cold, so cover yourself very well, hat for ears. The view is spectacular, we found a perfect day.

Great Day At Top.Of The Rock

By Graeme G |

We had an absolute blast at Top Of The Rock. It was made all the better by Nankoo who took the time to share in a laugh and a joke with my son which made his day. Nankoo is an employee to be proud of. Thanks again.

By Nick B |

The best views of New York - high enough to feel above the city but still a really intimate feel that you feel among it all.
We went at 9.40am and no queues, it was busy but not ridiculously so.
Easy to get to in midtown - three levels with the highest benefitting from not having any glass barriers so photos are uninhibited.
Offers the best views of the Empire State Building/midtown anywhere in NYC and a great view of Central Park the other side.
I’d say a must if you’re visiting the city.

Beautiful and accessible

By Rachel J |

Had a lovely time with my brother and mother who has mobility issues. We also showed up an hour early but they let us in. We got drinks and cheesecake at The Weather Room. We loved the little video they played beforehand too. It was too cold and windy for us to go outside but we still enjoyed the view at night from inside. Very grateful there’s hardly any steps through the whole experience so it was very easy for my mom who has a bad knee.

Fab

By Explorer52750913281 |

Great experience! We didn’t get to sit together on the beam which was the only bad point. Everything else was great and so quick!

Stunning views

By Jane L |

Very well organised. We went early so not too crowded and stunning views. Cafe disappointing but nice cafe terrace to sit

Very good

By Mariana M |

It was a great experience visiting Rockefeller Center! My family and I enjoyed a lot, and for sure we recommended for other families 🥰

Amazing view

By Simone S |

Amazing view over the city. Loved hanging out on the bench and seeing the Empire State Building 😍
At 8 am it is not crowded at all.

If you’re going to do any views while visiting, make sure it is this one!🏙️

By Mols |

Beautiful views all across NYC as well as loads of history around the city and the building of the centre.

Considering how popular it is, it really wasn’t overly busy. We went about 10am and there was no queue at all, straight in through the lobby and into the presentation before the lift.

At the top there is a cute cafe that has some really reasonably priced food and drinks where you can sit for as long as you like as there is no time limit for how long you can stay!

The views were amazing, and they have those static binoculars that you could look through all the way around, we used one to see the Statue of Liberty and look over Central Park!

So worth it, the only view we did while in NYC and I’m so glad it was this one!

Really enjoy the views. Excellent services up in the cafe / bar.
Staff really welcoming and friendly
It was my nephew's first time in NYC the theatre at the start was interesting.

Robert is the best! Loved the views!!!

By Erin Heald |

My friend is visiting from Spain and Robert made our DAY! He was so friendly and made the experience so much more fun. Gorgeous views, totally worth visiting!!!

Not to be missed

By Harj K |

Amazing experience, very organised and impressive views! Very family friendly and staff were so helpful. Worth paying the extra for sky beam pics and skylit

Too crowded even with a reservation! Should not take over a hour to get up there.

By Cecilia S |

As excited we were to take my 3 grand-daughters up to the top. We purchased 6 tickets and our scheduled time was for 4:00. We arrived 10 minutes early. Line was already long. We waited some time outside to enter the building. After entering we were scrunched in with lots of other people. All with our heavy coats, gloves and hats. We waited and waited to get on the elevator. By the time we got to the top, it took 1 hour and 7 minutes. Yes, it was beautiful but then we looked and the line to go back down was very long as well….we were there maybe 10 minutes and saw how long the line was to leave so we just got back in line and even that took another 35 minutes to get back down. Needless to say we had some very cranky kids and moms! Definitely was not worthy the $422.44 that we paid to do it.

Tour of Rockefeller Center

By Ninette E |

This was my first NYC tour and I admit I wasn’t expecting much from it. But it was really good! The tour took us inside and outside of several buildings on several blocks that make up Rockefeller Center. Our tour guide Nikhil was great. He was informative, interesting and funny.

I have lived in New York all my life and have been to the city - and to Rockefeller Center many times. This tour brought new perspective to buildings I’ve seen so many times.

By Stacey P |

Great experience overall with fantastic views of the city. Fantastic customer service all around, and especially from Robert at the outside ticket office!

By Sandybee73 |

Fantastic experience from start to Finish. We had already done Liberty/Ellis Island and Empire State Building so opted to do this one after dark and it did not disappoint! So many more lights and features you don’t notice from below in the evening. We had only factored in an hour or so but so much to look at we were up there almost two hours! Well managed queuing systems and some cheeky queue jumpers were sent straight to the back

Best Tour Ever

By Nomad15851768451 |

Best tour ever. I would highly recommend you take this tour as it may be the best thing you see in NYC! We are so grateful to have been able to go.

10/10

By Oisin K |

I had a great time, the staff were very helpful and kind to us, the sky lift and beam experiences were fantastic, would recommend

Unbelievable vista.

By Deb & Jake |

The views from the top are truly amazing and breathtaking - you must go and see them. The observation deck is very unique and spun my stomach when we were raised up and turned! What a great experience though!

Well worth it.

By Jason B |

Did the VIP tour with Nickolas. Was much better than the last time I was there, mainly because it wasn't raining. Doing the VIP is well worth if you financially swing it, as you can skip all the lines. Nickolas was great as well.

Great for families

By Yuan X |

Visit was awesome. Was traveling with my grandmother and family. My grandmother was on wheelchair and the staff helped us tremendously. Would recommend to everybody who is visiting!

Top of the Rock VIP

By Michele G |

I would 100% buy the VIP to pass the lines 100%. It was SO busy between Christmas and NYE. Our guide was great and did her best. A couple issues....one beam was down (that meant the fast pass experience we paid for was quite slow)....also, we never got the champagne toast, not sure why? We had to skip the movie room because it was far too crowded and we were behind schedule to begin with. While the ability to skip many of the lines was great, the overall value was just okay. Having said that....there is no way I would do the regular Top of the Rock and add-ons this time of the year EVER

By SusyPPurley |

I thought this observation deck was quite good value for money for the general admission ticket.

Definitely check before you up though that the weather is decent enough for a good view.

There are three levels to view from - some with glass in front of you and some completely open air.

You get a superb view of the Empire State Buildjng and can see the Statue of Liberty in the distance. If you are hoping to see the Chrysler building, then be aware that though it is visible, it is obscured a bit by the rather ugly Met Life building, You also get a great view of Central Park.

I went up reasonably early and it was fine - not too crowded. I also didn’t bother pre booking.

There are add on packages you can buy. I didn’t think they really looked worth it but I do think that’s a very individual decision.

New York Top of the Rock

By Angela F |

This is an amazing experience I am scared of heights but would thoroughly recommend this tour!
The views are fantastic! 10 out of 10 & Danelyze is lovely & helpful when making purchases!

Deserves 10 and more stars

By Angi |

For me, the most beautiful observatory will be that we visited it in the evening, when the twinkle of thousands of lights dominated New York in a continuous glow. It was a fantastic experience

Excellent

By Anne Q |

Excellent from start to finish. Fantastic view. Well worth doing this. Staff are all super friendly. Coffee shop is very pleasant to sit and look out at N.Y.

SAVE YOUR MONEY

By Nick G |

The beam has to be the biggest rip-off scam ever … $25 each to sit on it and have your photo taken. What they don’t tell you is that if you want your photo it is another $75. They give you a card with a QR code and tell you you can still download it digitally if you don’t want to pay for a print. BUT the download is covered in watermarks and you can’t do anything with it unless you pay the $75. Even worse, if you don’t download it on the day, you can’t access it later.

Fantastic views over city

By Gill2624 |

No queue. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lucky in that was a beautiful day. Definitely worth doing. Gift shop reasonably priced.

Amazing experience!!!

By Melanie C |

Loved everything about it beautiful experience beatiful view, best time to go is before sunset and the cafe food is really good!

A must do..

By TrolleyDolly78 |

A must do especially if you have a sunny day, like we did..whole experience was amazing but tad expensive. We went later in the day when it wasn't so crowded and avoid weekends.

By Lisa R |

It was a lot of fun. It was fun going to the top deck and doing the city. We met Khalil and he was fantastic. I could see the Empire State building.

Post Marathon Visit

By Robert B |

A fantastic experience on my return trip after the marathon, great photos. Super friendly help from Sophie at the shop.

A beautiful viewpoint that allows you to appreciate all the other buildings and a beautiful view of Central Park.

Breathtaking Views and a Must-Do NYC Experience!

By Natalie A |

Top of the Rock was easily one of the highlights of our trip to New York City.
The timed entry tickets helped avoid long lines, and the staff was friendly and efficient throughout.
The mini film prior to the elevator was full of interesting history and the elevator ride up is fast and fun, complete with a cool light show in the ceiling. Once you reach the top… just WOW! The views are absolutely stunning.
You get an unobstructed, panoramic look at Manhattan from multiple levels. Unlike some other observation decks, Top of the Rock gives you a perfect view of the Empire State Building.
There are three levels of observation decks, including one open-air level which gives you a clear view with minimal glass interference. We stayed for quite a while just soaking it all in from Central Park to the Statue of Liberty in the distance.

Overall, Top of the Rock delivers that classic NYC moment, majestic views, a little glamor, and the thrill of being on top of the world. Highly recommended!

Amazing view

By Shielo V |

Beautuful overview of the city with amazing staff. Beautiful view of the empire state building from the rock city view.

Nicholas is the Best Tour Guide

By Aimee W |

We did the VIP Top of the Rock experience, and loved it so much. Nicholas was our tour guide and I hope everyone gets to have him when you go, he was the best of the best! He was so knowledgeable about everything, and we genuinely enjoyed being with him. Thanks Nicholas!

A fun thanksgiving morning - skip the beam

By Jason R |

We went on thanksgiving morning at 9:00 am and there was no crowd at all. This was nice. First thing up there we went to the cafe and were able to get in with no wait. We were pleased with the fresh food, and the coffee was fresh and delicious.

The weather was clear , so the views were great. It really is a nice spot up there.

DO NOT PAY FOR THE BEAM EXPERIENCE. it is pretty scammy — big money to sit on the beam, AND THEN THEY ASK YOU FOR AN ADDITIONAL $50 TO ACTUALLY GET THE PICTURES. we were shocked that they charge you to take the picture and then charge you again to actually get it. Don’t be fooled. Take your own pictures and just say no to the beam.

VIP Rockerfella

By Lucy Evans |

Christmas get away in NY. Amazing experience and Jonathan was friendly and fun out tour guide round the Rockerfella. Sky beam was great and lift,

By Ann H |

A fantastic fun experience. Great views and terrific fun on the Bean. Very well organised and run, staff very helpful. Would recommend

The Best Skyline View in NYC

By Mario H |

Visiting Top of the Rock was truly unforgettable. The organization is efficient, allowing visitors to reach the observation levels quickly. Once at the top, the 360degree view is absolutely stunning Central Park on one side, the Empire State Building on the other. Even for someone who has visited New York many times.

Among the many experiences to do absolutely

By lag-free |

I recommend going up at sunset or, even better, after dinner, just half an hour before closing. The central location offers the best night view of Manhattan and surroundings. Pay attention to the dark, unlit area: it's Central Park.

Our trip to the top.

By Shawn S |

Gullerimo was very knowledgeable and it was a great tour. The views were incredible and we loved the BEAM. The skyline was breathtaking.

Great perspective

By John S |

We got an amazing perspective of the city. The view was absolutely breathtaking. We got to take lots of fun pictures too.

It was little cold outside but I can see a beautiful things

By Misaki S |

It was super good and I can see a lot of tower and I like a land scape. It is good so I want to go there again with my friends! Thank you for make beautiful place in New York!

Sunset views outstanding

By Boobah B |

Excellent views. We went at sunset in September 2025 which was stunning. Would recommend it, but it was very busy and crowded especially on the top deck

Great sunset views but crowds

By Paul O |

We visited for sunset which is a very popular and busy time so booked a few weeks in advance. Our time slot was for 6.40pm and the queues are well organised. We entered exactly on time and it was 7.05pm when we were actually on the observation deck. You get a picture taken, watch a short video and off course get the elevator on the way up.

There are three levels to enjoy and the best views are from the top level. However, the views facing the Empire State Building have crowds 3 and 4 deep and is very hard to get to the front.

Overall everything is very well organised and views are great. It is not cheap, $190 for 3 adults but as a once off was worth it.

Absolutely incredible 🗽

By Callum Brooks |

Very good view of New York, including the Empire State, Central Park and Statue Of Liberty, would highly recommend, views are incredible!

Top of the Rock VIP Tour

By Carla S |

My husband and I planned this trip way in advance for a family wedding we attended. I couldn't wait for all the activities I had planned for the two of us and the Top of The Rock VIP Tour was scheduled on our 3rd day in New York. I did my research on all the options of observation decks that there were, and picked Top of The Rock. On Tuesday, September 9th we arrived at 6:40pm and tried to check-in with the attendant. I showed him our tickets that clearly stated VIP and the time 7:00pm that we reserved. He told us to wait on the side and come back at 7 to check-in. At about 6:50 I approached him again to ask if we were supposed to go in earlier because we were supposed to have our champagne toast that is part of the package we purchased, and he just brushed it off and said that would be upstairs when we enter at 7. So...I went back to where we were waiting on the sidewalk that was right in front of the attendant. At 7 we went to check-in then the attendant looks at our tickets and says VIP??? I told him yes this is what I showed you earlier. He immediately went inside to talk with someone and while all this is going on, the people that had paid for regular tickets were entering. Keep in mind you're trying to get in so you can get up there before the sunsets for the photo opportunities. We then get ushered into the lobby and someone is trying to get in touch with the person conducting the tour that we were supposed to be on. We spoke to several people that were trying to help us. They couldn't get a hold of the tour guide and they offered to reschedule or refund us. And mind you..while all this commotion is going on, in the back of my mind the sun is gonna set soon keeps on replaying. Then I don't know how, but this angel of an employee appears..Samantha Bell! She offered to reschedule or refund our tour, but I told her we can't reschedule because our days are already scheduled with other activities and I didn't want a refund because we really wanted to experience this. She offered that we could still do the pictures on the beam, private skylift, and champagne toast and if we hurry we could do it before the sunsets. Samantha Bell rushed us through crowds and elevators to get us to the beam and skylift to get our pictures before the sunset. She then took us to do our champagne toast and took pictures of us. I thank God he put her with us that night..she was soooo awesome! Samantha Bell went above and beyond! She stayed with us the entire time making sure we were okay and experienced everything that we could possibly do in our situation. At the end of all of this they refunded our 2 VIP Tour tickets. I have to say if we didn't meet Samantha that day this probably would have been a 3 star review.

Total rip off, terrible customer service.

By wendy p |

Very disappointed.
The experience started with a 5 min presentation. There were not many in our group and so having been walking around a lot all morning and having an injured knee I went to sit on one of the benches only to be told they were for disabled people. When I said that I would happily move if a disabled person needed it the usher said that I had to stand regardless.
The price for entry was extortionate, as was any extra’s like photo’s.
We had one soft drink, one coffee and 2 beers, over £50.
Total rip off, better to go to a different building if you want to go up for the views.

🔝

By Deborah R |

Nice view cool vibes. The intro video was really interesting and gave a good explanation of what goes around rockerfeller center.

Great views!

By Hayley M |

Very good views and it was a great experience! Would recommend to others to spend some time and see the views. Staff very friendly

Top of the Rock - Rockefeller Observation Deck NYC

By Ti R |

The organization was not great at all. We had tickets for sunset (4:30 ish) but despite time-specific tickets with entry 3:30pm, we were in a cue for more than 20min and upon asking got send back and forth - it took us nearly an hour to get up the observation deck and in the end missed the sunset. When getting inside there is a cue for a theatre that shows a 5 min film about Rockefeller Center - nice, but created an unnecessary bottleneck. Overall, not suitable with kids but the view is worth the hassle. Go straight to level 3 for the top view, levels below are through window glass and you are going to take the same photos at the top again.

Excellent views and amazing experience

By David N |

The ride to the top starts with a well presented introductory history of Rockefeller Square. After that you get enjoy the 360 degree views of New York at several different levels. The only downside were the very long slow queues to return to the ground

I Time was gonna be wasted to go and look at clouds, but then with the right advice it’s made it magical

By Franklin P |

It’s was awesome! Thanks to a gentleman named nankoo!
It was all grey and cloudy and rainy when we got there, and nankoo stopped and talk to us and gave us the best advice, come back to night and you will get good pictures coz the clouds will have moved up becoz of the heat from the street and buildings. And he save the day, we came back and got much better pictures then no pictures.

More time queuing to get in and out than being there

By Becky A |

We spent more time queueing to get in and get out than actually experiencing the views. Whilst the views are brilliant, of the 1 hour and 15 minutes we were there, we only spent 5 mins actually enjoying them. I had come a couple of years ago and the experience was brilliant, but this was totally different - it now feels like the only way to actually make the visit worth it is to buy all the extras. For the amount we paid, this does not feel worth it. We also bought tickets for dusk and spent so long queueing to get in that it was already dark. Overall, this was a huge disappointment.

By Abraham Shahverdi |

Great experience, could see Empire State building and the central park awesome views.
Had doubts whether to do Empire State or Top of the Rock, but certainly seeing Empire State from Top of the Rock is recommended.

Love it

By maritza p |

Amazing experience, everyone is so friendly affordable and gift shop has a very tasty drink as well I would definitely come back again

The best views of the city at night time

By lucyl422 |

Shamazing experience so happy we did it. The views are spectacular would recommend it to anyone. The staff are also super helpful. The beam part was the best

Immersive

By Nathan V |

Very beautiful views. An immersive view. My newlywed wife and I enjoyed the 360 degree view of the New York City area. You get a true sense of scale.

Go for the view if you have time and don’t mind spending a lot of money

By Katie L |

Very cool views — outrageously expensive. Wish there was more singage and information about the history of the building and info about NYC. There was a very brief but nice video. All the staff was lovely though!

By fierb0is |

Got the VIP tickets, expensive but definately worth it. Got a personal guide, Micah, he was excellent, very informative .
We skipped all the queues (slightly embarrassing tbh) and had personal Beam and SKYLIFT experience .

🔝

By Fabian G |

Amazing views of Manhattan! Top of the Rock offers a perfect close-up look at the Empire State Building and a great mix of indoor and outdoor areas. Smooth entry, plenty of space, and absolutely worth the visit—especially around sunset.

Top of the Rock shines bright in my eyes!

By Nicole S |

Fantastic experience! TOTR customer service was exceptional. Due to weather, we had to reschedule from an early morning reservation. We chose the last time slot available to see the city lights. Very beautiful and fun to experience. Highly recommend!

Awesome NYC views

By Patti F |

Great views of the city. We were able to see the city from different sides, Statue of Liberty and Central Park. Perfect opportunity for photos.

Tree ornament

By 28MandyBrown |

Great gift shop we bought an ornament of the Christmas tree with angels and the large gold statue. We were here in the snow

This was so great

By Sophie E |

It was so good especially with vip so you don’t have to wait in a queue and overall it was a great experience and is worth the money.

By davide r |

The ability to excite Americans is as always excellent and make you relive the place where 100 years ago the photo of one of the most iconic moments in history was taken is worth it

Fantastic

By Francesco M |

Top experience! We really enjoyed the view and the visit. We took a lot of photoes, it was amazing! Really cute, we suggest to do this experience

By Allan S |

Absolutely not adequate cashier with slavic accent working
So bad service haven’t seen in years
She should be kicked out

Nice to see the city from above

By Elena |

Great observatory in the heart of Midtown on one side there is an open view of Central park and on the other side of the Empire State Building, Midtown and Downtown to a very distant Statue of Liberty. The first two floors the parapets are extended with transparent panels while the top floor has an open view of the city without additional barriers.
Before climbing, a short video tells the story of the palace and what activities it hosts today
.
I can't compare it with other observers but I liked this, we took advantage of the combined purchase Offer at Moma.

Amazing

By Colin D |

What an amazing experience and the views are breathtaking . Literally booked tickets 10minutes before & went straight un. Definitely worth a visit

The best vacation ever, will return

Probably the best views of Uptown and Dwntown New York. Nice cafe on the top of the rock also. Maybe a little pricey for the view but spectacular all the same.

it was mad tuff, very fun and a great place to take pictures. recommend every family to visit this place at least once in their lifetime

Loved it

By Gitte H |

Amazing experience! Such a pleasure to visit. The view is amazing and it was a great suprise that there was a theatre in the beginning. You get a view from all 4 angles.

Top of the Rock Iconic Views

By Jamie |

Top of the Rock is easily one of the best spots in New York to take in the skyline. The view is incredible especially because you can actually see the Empire State Building right in front of you, which makes it feel extra iconic.

The experience getting up there is smooth and well-organized, and once you’re on top, there’s plenty of space to walk around and enjoy different angles of the city. The staff are friendly and keep things moving without it feeling rushed.

They also offer a few extras once you’re up there, like the Sky Lift and some other premium experiences, for an additional cost totally optional, but nice if you want to make it a little more special.

It’s not the cheapest attraction in the city, but honestly, the views at sunset or after dark are unforgettable. Definitely worth it for anyone who wants that classic New York skyline moment.

Really good! Loop top! I like Goodshop and I wish I had fewer people. loving people.

Really slick experience, magnificent views

By chippy_chips |

As to be expected, breathtaking views of NYC! Pick a morning slot and it tends to be a bit quieter, and there's plenty of room to walk around and take in the views from different angles. Slick service and experience from start to finish, would highly recommend.

Awesome

By Todd H |

This was a great stop on our itinerary. We lucked out with no wait times or lines. There were plenty of open locations to get great photos. The short video is educational and just long enough. A must do.

It was the coolest thing ever - you can see the entire city and it’s not even scary at all and it’s so coooooooooll!

By Nathan B |

Amazing experience and felt safe even in the cold winter night air. Super chill with reasonable crowd - go at night and you won’t regret it!

Top of the Rock

By Sophie C |

It was great - really good staff and it was all so quick and seamless. We were lucky with the weather too. The cafe at the top looked nice too.

Great night in the city of lights

By Andy M |

We decided to go at night to see the city lights and it was spectacular. We met a man named Nankoo who was an exceptional host and very kind man who showed us around and made sure we got the whole experience. Thanks

With the new attractions and the city pass he lost a little. Crowd-seeking at sunset, never in August is impractical.

By 100piffi |

It's always been my favorite observatory. Before the City Pass, before Tik Tok. It has the distinction of making you understand perfectly how Central Park is located within Manhattan and how big it is.
I've been 3 times to NY, never in August, and I've always spent a pleasant time even at sunset. This year in August, at sunset, it was an impractical thing. The new attractions installed on the top floor, the one without glass to understand each other, have taken up space. Crowdedness at sunset that almost does not turn around, impossible to get close to the edge to take some pictures... visit it, but choose another time, not at sunset, unfortunately.

The best observation deck in NYC.

By Alfie |

Amazing views of all around the city - downtown, midtown, there's nothing you cannot see.

No queues like others such as Summit (disgraceful place) and a beautiful cafe on the first observation deck floor where they sell hot dogs etc.

Amazing, thank you!

By Sebastián L |

Good experience at the Rockefellers' house. The viewpoint has stunning views. The souvenir shop highlighted the truth

Unrepeatable experience

By Marta B |

Very cool, I recommend the Empire State more because it is more entertaining the museum but worth climbing to all possible, because it is a panorama worth seeing.

Wonderful way to see the city & get your bearings

By Christina C |

Wonderful way to see the city & get your bearings! Brought my mom here our first day in the city. Highly recommend as a first stop to first timers in NYC

Great view but beam experience nearly spoiled it

By Charles H |

Amazing view of pencil towers, Central Park, the Empire State and beyond. Great cafe. Had to repeat the beam experience photograph because no warning given. Luckily a short queue because it was so cold!

Top of the Rock

By Stephanie K |

I love the top of the rock. Beautiful views of the city. We ate at the bar. The drinks and food were good. A great experience.

A great way to see new york. Get a look at 3 more iconic building while youre up there

By Jose M |

Great Experience . A Christmas gift to my lady and a joint experience. Both native New Yorkers and we have never been to one of the skyscrapers . This was an excellent time made even better by the VIP experience. If you can swing the extra cash. Go for the VIP. Quicker Elevator, No time limit on your visit.

great views from here

By Ron T |

Played tourist here on our most recent visit to NYC. Wonderful views of the city from the 70th floor (and no glass in front of you).

Outstanding

By Fred L |

Great experience of learning and sights. I loved how riding the beam gave an actual experience of how iron workers work. I also loved how it felt like it was a ride. I love the view of NYC it gave me. Over all a 10/10 place and I would come again and I will come again next year.

Good experience

By Jen T |

Fabulous experience - even better on Christmas day! The whole family enjoyed themselves. We would recommend. Really smooth arrival.

I really liked it.

By Dora Maria C |

Beautiful view, has two pretty parent views, in the bathroom it's very cold but outside that it's cool would return again

Great views, great sunset!

By astuart2015 |

Great way to see the city from above. We arrived around 3pm and were able to stay for sunset which was amazing. Thoroughly recommend this experience.

Awesome experience

By L J |

Awesome experience seeing the view of manhattan at night. Would recommend to anyone visiting New York. Queues were quick and efficient and everyone was friendly and helpful.

The perfect way to see New York at sunset

By Caroline P |

I had the best time on my VIP tour at Top of the Rock. I was greeted at the front door and whisked off to a VIP lounge away from the very long queues outside. I was offered a drink and greeted by my guide Nicholas. The tour began with a short presentation overview of the Rockefella family and its history. We then made our way through the many floors to the top of the building skipping all the long queues along the way. Nicholas was very informative and his passion for the history of Rockefella and New York was evident. We made it to the top just in time for a private viewing in the Skylift to see a beautiful sunset across Manhattan. There was time for more pictures and taking in the amazing skyline from a private section of the viewing platform where Nicholas offered to take pictures/videos with my iphone as I was on this tour solo. I had pictures taken on the famous beam, which was also a private photo shoot instead of having your picture taken alongside strangers. The tour finished with a complimentary glass of champagne in the lounge and a skip the queue pass to get back down to the gift shop/exit. The tour includes a digital photo set and a really cool video… with the option to pay extra for printed pictures (10 USD). The VIP tour was well worth the money, I highly recommend Nicholas as your guide - one highlight of my entire trip!

Best views of all -amazing!

By bee56bop |

Fabulous experience. Nankoo made us feel so welcome and happy. After researching, we were a little disappointed to find that there was nowhere to have a waiter service meal at the same time as thy only have a snack cafe. We ended up going back to our hotel for dinner. The experience otherwise was definitely the best one of all the attractions I did in New York.

Amazing view, fast and not many people. Very polite staff. Very recomendable to see and enjoy!! Mandatory to come!!! Top

By Laure B |

Amazing experience would recommend to anyone visiting New York City loved every minute of it and would love to do it again if I visit again

Terrible.

By Xanna L |

Absolutely terrible. They overcharged us by $20. Did not have anything in stock. 50 minute queue.Rude staff completely uninterested and rude to anyone who does not speak perfect English. Especially at the bar the servers are rude and nothing was in stock at all. There was 50 minute queues to even get in, just a poor system. Go to the edge instead.

Complete Waste of Time and Money

By Mollie M |

The audio equipment was so outdated we couldn’t hear. There were constant scratches and screeches. The tour leader constantly was either ahead or behind our group which made it worse. Clearly a nice guy but ran out of time and didn’t comment on the most interesting architecture. Every other tour we took was fantastic (especially Ellis Island Hospital tour) but we deserve our money back from this August 29, 2025 tour at 2 pm

Amazing view point

By Rebecca E |

Amazing experience seeing the sun rising and Central Park covered in the snow. Can’t wait to come back and see everything in the summertime

Art deco excellence

By Ben M |

The views were great of course but not the best due to the glass panels being set back slightly from the edges of the building. Probably the best view of the ESB. Getting in was easy, no queuing really. The history part was interesting about how it was conceived and built. The whole plaza below is cool with art deco styling everywhere you look. And the tree of course.

paid extra for sunset but missed it

By bob b |

i was really disappointed with my top of the rock experience. we paid extra to book the 3:50 pm time specifically so we could see the sunset, and we even got in line at 2:50 to make sure everything went smooth. instead, we didn’t actually get to the top until 5:30 pm, and by then it was already completely dark. the view itself was great, but the whole point was to see the sunset we paid extra for. the wait was way too long, super unorganized, and honestly not worth the money.

Take pictures from above the beam

By Passenger30781356125 |

The view from the top is so beautiful~
You can see Central Park...
360 degrees. Just got a twin view. Good.

Bucket list item ticked off, plus enjoyed the bar at the top!!

By Rick W |

Great experience, highly recommend. We enjoyed the whole experience. The views from the top floor are exceptional at night. We treated ourselves to a drink at the top too. Not everyday you can sit at the top of the Rockerfeller center

Too little for too much

By joe s |

The views are first class but unfortunately I would have to put this as top of the list on NY Tourist Traps. It's a shameless money grab from start to finish and sooner or later the blatant overselling will result in a serious incident. Do not do if you're claustrophobic or can't queue for over an hour in total, entrance, into theatre, lifts up, beam, beam photo booth, lifts down.

Great even on a cloudy day

By plesprue |

We did the add-ons (skylight and beam). Worth it even on a cloudy day. Nite that the digital photos will cost you $40 additional. Hard to download them at top of rock to.make sure you have them.

The cashier knows nothing about service and politeness

By Allan S |

It’s a pretty breathtaking experience and would be really enjoyable if not the ticket buying experience.
The lady at the red carpet entrance with a Slavic accent knows absolutely nothing about the service.
She argues for nothing and certainly workers like her not supposed to be on the front line with customers
Instead solving problems she creates them.

Great choice. Highly recommend it to everyone.

By Steve Z |

Great fun. Wonderful view. Staff was incredible, especially Nankoo a security worker. He was helpful, funny and so nice. We really appreciated him talking to us and sharing his knowledge of NYC

Great views, chaotic outside organisation

By Clare R |

We visited Top of the Rock in December at 7pm.

As it was Christmas time in NY, outside was chaos. The instructions on how to enter were not clear and so we asked staff outside where we needed to go. We were sent from one place to another through the crowds only to be told we were in the wrong place three times. It took over 30 minutes to get to the right spot. Close up view of the Rockefeller tree was good, we got some nice family pictures. Once we had got to the correct entrance, the experience was very good. Quite well run but confusing queuing systems! Views across New York at night were amazing. With patience you can get right up to the windows for an unrestricted view. It was cold as you’d expect, with it being night time, December and high up!

Overall a good visit, once we were inside!

Very expensive

By Patrick W |

Staff not at all welcoming. The cashier in his chair chewing gum. We really felt like we were bothering. Three times wrong on prices and then on currency.
Nice to see but not worth 50 bucks per person.

By mikerusco |

Going back after years with the children and also doing the beam was special for my wife and me, the skyline has changed so much since 2008, but it is even more exciting

Worst organization ever. Save your money.

By electricnacho |

You would think a place that deals in masses of tourists would be prepared for masses of tourists. But no. We were admitted about 45 minutes after our ticketed time. Upon entry, we got to wait in more unstructured lines just to get to the top to fight more masses of people. Some signage would go a long way. Or maybe hire some people to wrangle the masses and STOP overselling tickets.

The feeling of being at the top of the world!!!

By Cleia |

Americans tend to be virtually perfect in the details, ambientace, the visit begins with amazing images, the elevator has special effects, and the top....

Best

By Finn S |

Visiting Top of the Rock was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we entered the building, everything felt smooth and well-organized. The elevator ride up was quick and exciting, and as soon as the doors opened, the breathtaking panoramic views of New York City left us in awe. We could see Central Park, the Empire State Building, and even the Statue of Liberty in the distance. The observation decks were spacious and offered plenty of photo opportunities without feeling overcrowded. The staff was friendly and helpful, adding to the overall experience. Watching the sunset from up there was magical — the city lights started to sparkle as the sky changed colors. I highly recommend Top of the Rock to anyone visiting NYC; it’s worth every penny!

Top of the Rock rocks!

By Becca H |

Awesome experience! We got our tickets online in advance. We visited at night, and it was amazing to see all the lights. We had a very short wait. Great staff.

Beautiful view

By Carminne Silva |

The place is beautiful, with a 360 view of the city.
Since I stayed a few days, I programmed myself to go to the Empire States by day and the Top of the Rock at night. Both give a 360 view, so a productive tip is to separate in turns so you don't get the same anymore.
Some city tour bonify the top of rock, so I didn't even pay the entrance. But it's worth going anyway.

A must do in NYC

By CanuckAlberta |

We did the Top of the Rock with Skylift and it was amazing. The only way to truly see NYC is from above. The Skylift experience topped it all off with amazing views and pictures. This was the only observation experience we did while in NY, so it is hard to compare, but I cant imagine beating T of the R. Leave time to explore everything in Rockerfeller Center.

Top of the rock and feeling on top of the moon!

By Lisa M |

Beautiful views and a great experience. The iconic workers in the beam was my favorite! Felt like it was a personal tour.

Book Early Time Slot!

By Nigsy2008 |

We Visited on Thursday 4th December. Booked for 9.50am.
We entered an hour early which was no problem.
The queues were not bad at all.
The preview of the Rockerfella story was really interesting before you entered the lifts.

Once we were at the top of the rock we had amazing views and minimal crowds. Pretty much walked and stood where we wanted

Highly recommend.
However I can imagine as it gets later in the day and closer to Xmas this could be like hell on earth!

Lovely views of NYC

By SLD |

Really stunning views - especially at sunset. Well worth the visit. The only improvements would be the selection of food and beverages at the bar, better professional photos and improved exit system (took quite a while to get back down).

Disappointing experience

By S P |

Booked VIP tickets and was good to miss the queues at least. Overall though, found the experience disappointing. Expensive, not value for money, and a bit gimmicky! Other places better for views and would go to a theme park for rides instead of The Rock.

Woonderful

By Jenil D |

Absolutely great, was a wonder experience the service was great, everything was well maintained. The place was family friendly

Great time to the Top of the World.

By Shawn S |

Joseph and Kellie were energetic and fun to be with while we waited. Knowledgeable and friendly explaining the process and what to expect.

By Dana V |

Amazing experience. I recommend this to tourists and locals. Incredible views of the skyline and Central Park. An absolute must

Excellent View

By Sergio F |

Excellent experience, in my opinion the best viewpoint you visit in NY. It has an amazing view of the Empire State.

Visit to top of Rockefeller centre.

By Trek536999 |

Absolutely amazing views of NYC at night. We were unsure on what buildings were what asked Nankoo and WOW! What a wealth of information he gave us on the city, the buildings, the history. Fantastic visit.

We were a totall of £97 dollars for admission fee and our visit was around an hour due to it being quieter at night.

VIP tour of Rockefeller Center very crowded and the lift was closed

By kcdenning2018 |

Our tour began with a VIP experience in the lounge of the Rockefeller Center, where our guide introduced us to what we were experience and told us that the lift was closed due to wind. We were done, escorted up a back elevator after we saw the tree at ground level to get great pictures. We had to take the back elevator because she had been locked out of the one that was scheduled for the VIP tour. Not sure how that happened.

When we got to the top, it was overcrowded hard to maneuver, and we were told we may not be able to get up to the very top of the building. Eventually, she found a way to the top where we could get our bean picture and then go up one more floor so that we had the two VIP Experience not sure I would do this again but having done it once I did enjoy it be careful it can be cold

Great!!

By Pearl P |

It was great. Anytime again! The tour guide was super nice and put a lot of effort into it!
The center and the view are incredibly impressive and the champagne was also super delicious!

Top of the Rock

By Rob W |

Visiting Top of the Rock was a fantastic experience. The views over Manhattan are breathtaking, especially seeing Central Park and the Empire State Building from above. Well organised, not rushed, and absolutely worth it for the panorama alone.

Don’t trust TIMED ENTRY expectations!

By Danielle B |

Timed entry line was NOT organized at all! We arrived at least 30 minutes prior to our time slot only to be told to wait in a VERY long line with NO ORDER & only 1 staff person trying his best to accomplish his task with not much success! We weren’t permitted in the building until 45 minutes after our time! We were rushed through taking in the sights as we needed to wait in yet ANOTHER line for over an hour for the prepaid Beam Experience. To top it off, with all the delays, missed sights & photo opportunities, we had to run 18 blocks & almost missed our transportation out of NYC! Almost 3 hrs for a 1 hr expectation was UNACCEPTABLE! Plan better Top of the Rock! I wish I had seen the views I wanted to take in for my 1st time @ this venue. DISAPPOINTED 😔

By Philip |

Amazing, don’t miss this opportunity. What a great experience. Don’t forget the rooftop bar with a cocktail outside with an amazing view

Top experience at Top if the Rock.

By rmezza2018 |

The Top of the Rock is a first class spot to view NYC in all its grandeur.
One of our highlights was our interaction with a member of their team named Nankoo who engaged with us and whom we had a lot of fun with. Definitely someone we will all remember for the laughter.
The cafe was a bit of a let down though with the only mildly interested in our order anything else for that matter.
Must though. Nankoo made up for that easily.
Thanks for the amazing memories.

One of a kind NYC holiday experience!

By laurawmiller |

This VIP Holiday experience lives up to its name and was FABULOUS in every way. Truly a festive and over the top NYC experience. What really made the experience was our guide Cameron who was the perfect blend of knowledgeable, entertaining and thoughtful. He made the whole thing extraordinary! Can’t say enough good things about his professionalism. The special and exclusive views and photo ops of the Rockefeller tree, the Saks holiday light show and other NYC landmarks you get on this tour are unparalleled. If you’re looking to splurge in NYC for a one of a kind holiday treat, this is THE ONE!! Highly recommend. And thanks very much to Cameron who made it the BEST for our family of four.

Visit day and night

By MidlandsMidlander |

Having done all of the Observatories in NYC, this was the worst by a country mile. Went with wife and two children. Queues were huge poorly organised and when we finally got to the observation deck other travellers were blocking the view. Despite waiting for 20-30 minutes we never got to really see the main views. Staff do nothing to control footfall through the attraction. So the queues build up as people hang around for ages. Personally I would not return here. We did not experience the same issues at any other observation or indeed any other attraction. Had we got to have experienced this attraction I am sure it would have been similar to others however the poor management of footfall made this a poor experience.

Not a happy camper

By Lee S |

I never leave reviews, and this was an absolutely miserable experience. Could not access the upper floors of the tour because no one accounted for cleaning ice in winter, and later in the day, was supposed to do the rockefeller center tour, which was cancelled. Because of this we moved up our Christmas tree photo to when they opened and had to wait well over an hour for the photo anyways because again no one accounted for ice cleaning in the steps. Didnt start cleaning the ice until photos opened. And almost no one takes any responsibility or is helpful in any way. If you go in the summer fine, but in winter absolutely awful experience. Do the observatory at the empire state building and stay away. Sorry to be so negative but almost no one on staff really seems to care about all the time wasted - they just shrug it off like nothing

The Top

By angela0809 |

The elevator ride is already spectacular, then the view (overlooking the Empire and Central Park) deserves the price (a nice slap!). The best time is late afternoon, with skyscrapers on fire.

By Ron Y |

Amazing views and decent vibes in the coffee shop. Never disappoints. Would recommend to all my family and friends. Can’t wait to visit again.

Beam is an absolute rip-off

By Jenifer S |

The beam should be given to everyone. The three of us paid 80 dollars to get on the steel beam at all, then two photos were taken and they should cost another 75 dollars. Of course, that was not said at the beginning when you paid for the tickets for the beam. Pure rip-off

By Jokerman |

This was our third high-rise building experience in New York, each having their own advantages. This one has the best views of the Empire State Building and Central Park. It includes the option to recreate the famous lunch break photo on a steel girder whilst the building was being constructed. We declined doing that but watched a couple with cheap plastic foodstuffs and I was glad we declined, it all looked a little tacky. Didn't really see the point or value, but guess it's a matter of opinion. Whole area allows 360 degree views, which is great and some observation binoculars. There was more seating and food /drinks than elsewhere but we weren't tempted. Once you've seen the view and taken a picture or two, there isn't much else to do, so could have done the whole thing in half an hour. Buy the ticket as part of a multi attraction deal, it will work out cheaper in the long run.

Amazing experience

By Noemi C |

Top experience for all people. It was exiting and emotional and gorgeous. I Will return here again of sure! I suggest It go all!

Beautiful view of the city

By Fin H |

Beautiful views of Central Park, Hudson River, New Year's bauble (in December 2025), Empire State Building and much more we also didn't have to wait in line long just at the exit a few minutes by and large worth the visit.

See ALL of Central Park and more!

By bkute65 |

Amazing views of the city! A must if you’re visiting NYC! They share some of the history of this site, Rockefeller Center. And afterwards there are several shops and restaurants to visit. They also have a few unique experiences for an extra cost, but fun for kids. The staff is very helpful.

Disappointed

By Lovelyladyb21 |

Disappointing visit - worlds away from our experience at the empire state. The employees weren’t helpful in anyway and the organisation was poor.

By tmm01 |

A great building and history to it. The views were amazing. Quite busy the day we visited, but not too bad. We had a drink at the bar. Over £80 for 4 drinks. This came as a bit of a shock.

We visited on our first day in NY so a great way to get to know your surroundings.

When we visited they were advertising the new Jurassic World movie. With stick rounds on some of the glass. For a short person - like me (5’’ 2) this meant a lot of the view was blocked off.

Fantastic Views on a clear day

By John M |

Great view, good to see the Empire State Building and Central Park, much better then I expected and would recommend to anyone visiting New York.

The best night viewpoint, Manhattan and beyond 360°

By lag-free |

What a wonder the night skyline from this central Manhattan location. Beautiful all the lighting, the Crysler you can see little, the black expanse of Central Park, you no longer want to go down, too bad that at a certain time it closes.

Top experience at Top of the rock!

By Natalie L |

Amazing experience! One of the best attractions we have been to in NYC! The beam is an amazing experience! Everything is very well organized!

Great

By Patrice H |

Top of the Rock is absolutely worth the visit. The entire experience feels smooth and well-organized, from the elevator ride to the moment you step onto the observation decks. The views are stunning—especially the unobstructed look at the Empire State Building and the sweeping panorama of Central Park. Unlike some other observation points, there’s plenty of space to move around and take photos without feeling rushed. The indoor and outdoor levels make it enjoyable in any weather, and the staff are friendly and helpful. If you want iconic New York City views paired with a relaxed atmosphere, this is the perfect spot.

An amazing Skyscraper experience in NYC

This was an amazing experience. It was my first time ever in New York and I wanted to see something from a skyscraper. The tallest building in Ireland is around 15 storeys high so being on the 70th floor at the observation deck was a huge thrill. We signed up tot he Rockefeller centre email newsletter and had 10% off so we used the discount and for two people it worked out at $108 which was about €93 which was good value for what it was. There was no time limit and the experience was great. We would certainly do this again and it is worth it.

Top of The Rock rainy day positive experience

By SVitz331 |

A friend and I got into NYC and wanted to start exploring even though rain was on the way. While at Top of the Rock, Nankoo was incredibly helpful at giving us information about NYC sights and made sure we had a good time despite the rain moving in. My friend and I were so appreciative of Nankoo's kindness to us and his commitment to ensuring we had a unique experience. This was a great kickoff to our whirlwind NYC trip.

Rockefeller Center shopping

By Kimberly S |

Such a cool shopping area and perfect place to get out of the elements and even rest a bit. We really enjoyed our time exploring and found some cool souvenirs. Next stop will be the observation deck and the ice rink!!

Highlight of the city!

By Alimac |

Starts with a short presentation on the history of the building, then up to 67th floor. Views here are amazing, but all glassed in - on the top floor it's even better for photos as there's nothing in your way! I spent ages just drinking in the amazing views - there was no rush to move on. (You can pay extra to get boosted up a little higher in the Skylift, but I can't imagine the view was much better). Absolutely one of the highlights of my trip
There are toilets on the way in, and there's a small souvenir shop and cafe/bar on 67th floor, and access to toilets. When you go down again, you go out through a bigger souvenir shop.

Top Of The Rock

By VinnyQ |

Nicolas was an amazing guide on our VIP Top of the Rock tour. He was friendly, easygoing, and really knew his stuff without making it feel scripted or overdone. He shared great facts and stories, pointed out the best places for photos, and made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy the views without feeling rushed.

You can tell he genuinely cares about what he does, and that made the whole experience even better. The tour felt relaxed, personal, and absolutely worth it. If you’re considering the VIP experience, I highly recommend asking for Nicolas.

Good

By Gemma C |

Good observation desk, beam is a good addition but they should let you know you can’t pay cash once up there for it so we had to come back down to go back up

A stunning view point

By jamieoconnor |

A visit to the Top of the Rock is an absolute must when exploring New York City. The panoramic views are truly breathtaking, offering a stunning perspective of the city’s iconic skyline. The observation area spans three levels, each providing unobstructed 360-degree views.

The open-air design of the viewing decks adds to the experience, giving visitors a genuine sense of height and space. Notably, several sections of the top deck are free from protective screens, allowing for exceptional photo opportunities without visual barriers.

Beam experience

By Evie K |

We had the pleasure of booking our beam tickets with Robert. He helped us and guided us to have the photo package and actually assigned us for what he actually thought we wanted not what we needed for the price. He was really kind and helpful

Fantastic experience

By Cristen T |

Nicholas was awesome. We booked the VIP experience and he was phenomenal. I truly felt like a VIP. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely come back.

The bean. A photo opportunity without a photo

By matthew r |

Bean lift was short - it's not a ride for fun, it's just up and down with a photo opportunity in the middle.

It's exactly what you'd expect from a photo opportunity.

Almost.

What the photo opportunity didn't give you is a photo.

Yeah, after paying for the photo opportunity, you have to turn pay for the photo. Reviews say a photo is included but apparently that stopped a long time ago.

Avoid.

Complete rip off.

Top of the rock

By Catherine S |

Excellent visit to see 360° New York City - 3 levels of visit included in the initial price - very moderate and well managed expectation - wonderful site for very beautiful photos - I recommend

360-DEGREE VIEW

By TheElite |

The views from top of the rock were amazing. We went in the morning, so the sun was out, and the sky was clear. You have a 360-degree view of the of New York. You can see Central Park in one direction and the Statue of Liberty in the other.

Scenic time. Good stufffff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By Aaron T |

So fun and awesome!!!!!! It’s so fun!!!! Definitely recommend!!!!! Very fun and friendly staff. Family fun!!! Cool beans!!!

Amazing but...

By Christopher W |

Amazing views and Top was brilliant. Organisation at bottom could have been better. Queuing system confusing outside and then turned into a free for all going into theatre.

Must do!

By Eric V |

Loved it! Great place to take pictures! I wonder if they would allow somebody to set up a table and have a nice dinner out here because that would be a great place to propose!

These reservations are very much dependent upon the weather

By Ashley W |

We arrived 30 minutes early for our 9:50 pm reservation. At that time, we were told to come back at exactly 9:50. When we did, we were told that visibility was low and we needed to reschedule. We stood in line for about a half hour for that. We checked the weather and were rescheduled for 11:00 am the next day. We arrived on time and were told the visibility was nil and asked to reschedule. We had no other available time during our trip so we went up anyway. They were not wrong, we couldn’t see anything.

By Isabel L |

It was m and bday fabulous I will always remember 🥰 everyone was very attentive kind.what a wonderful experience I will never forget.

Top of the Rock

By Ettore77 |

We went up almost at sunset to watch the sun go down.
The best observatory to enjoy Central Park and the Empire State Building.
Unfortunately the schedule is very crowded so it was a bit tiring to be able to appreciate the atmosphere.
We will return for a night view

Waste of time and money

By Bert M |

Timed ticket but out of two hours for visit , 90% of time was waiting in line to go up and down. Much better experience at Empire State bldg.

Must do!

By Barbara I |

Great experience…would recommend for anyone coming to New York! Great views and beautiful architecture! Loved it!!!

Breathtaking experiences

By Peter D |

Thoroughly enjoyed. But felt a lot of the staff were quite curt. Well worth a visit to see the amazing views of the city and the world famous skyline.

Windy and picturesque

By Santhiya R |

While it was very windy the views and experience was amazing! I especially enjoyed the history presentation of rockerfeller in the beginning.

Miss Abigail McCafferty

By Abigail M |

Excellent guides especially. Cameron he is a credit to the rockerfellar tour he was extremely welcoming and a genuinely nice person !

VIP Tour – Top of the Rock

By UmbrellaInStyle |

An exceptional experience from start to finish. The VIP tour of Top of the Rock was flawlessly executed, and Lisa delivered a level of service that was both polished and highly attentive. She guided us seamlessly from one vantage point to the next, ensuring we never waited in a single line — a true luxury in a venue of this caliber.

This is the only way I would ever choose to experience Top of the Rock again. The evening was nothing short of spectacular, made even more special by sharing it with my daughter and grandchildren. The combination of breathtaking views, effortless pacing, and discreet VIP access created a truly memorable and elevated experience.

Impeccable service and an unforgettable evening. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend!

By Katie M |

The view and entire experience was unforgettable! James and Jamar were super professional, fun and enhanced the whole thing for us. Highly recommend!!

Hated it.

By Kelly M |

I hated this. There we too many people. We basically stood in line after line and couldn't even see the views because it was so packed. We bought the beam experience and had to get a refund after waiting in line for an hour. Not worth it.

Highly recommend

By Paradise57628819109 |

Nice view, very kind staff. Highly recommend to come with a kid!

Stroller is not a problem, every place is easily accessible.

Rockerfella Tour

By Michael C |

Unreal experience, breath taken views. Staff really friendly especially a gentleman called Nankoo took time to point out all the famous land marks and asked any questions. Rockerfella tour is up there with the best experience we've had in new York

Beautiful view

By Kelly P |

The view is exceptionally beautiful! The experience reminded me of a Disney ride- we started with a short video about John Rockefeller, then took the elevator up to the top. Up there, you can visit the different areas to see the city from different angles. But, on the way down you end in the gift shop- which is why it reminded me of Disney. Overall good experience!!

Thanksgiving Day

By Mindy |

We booked this for Thanksgiving Day! We did the morning so it was not too crowded. The views were spectacular and then we had coffee/hot chocolate in the cafe at the top. If you go early keep in mind road closures for the parade and plan accordingly.

TOTR Rocks!

By Steve L |

Going to the Top of the Rock, an iconic location, a few weeks before Christmas, was very cool. The TOTR offers amazing views of the entire city, from downtown to the top of Central Park. Entry with our tickets was easy and the staff were very friendly. One individual, Nankoo, was especially helpful and friendly. We could tell he loved his job interacting with tourists. Thank you Nankoo!

Very good

By Angela K |

Very good and very nice view. We enjoyed it and were able to take beautiful pictures. The cappuccino is also delicious in the restaurant. Seller Khalil is also very nice

Must go

By alex f |

Awesome experience Nanroo is a funny guy he made the experience even that much better…Hey Nanroo a new one every 10 years funny stuff

Buy the tickets a nightmare and unprofessionalism.

By Aina |

We are going on a trip to New York this Friday the 15th and tried to buy tickets on Monday the 11th of August, gave us "400 error" three times, it did not return to the purchase page and our surprise was that we were charged three times! We have sent four emails to the email that provides the page to explain what had happened, but we have not received a reply. We have paid 750 euros and we have nothing, no confirmation, no mail, NOTHING. We felt that being a reliable company they would reply to our emails, but we still waited.

Disappointing

By Sherry B |

Top floor was closed but they did not tell us beforehand. There was no discount or availability to come back at a later time. It was very disappointing.

All right but watch out Beam scam

By jean pierre c |

The visit was breathtaking, you can see all of New York, it’s fantastic.
On the other hand I advise against the photo on the Beam, it is useless to pay you $15 per person and when you are looking to have the photo, you are told that it is just a video to download it is separated into two parts, a black and white top part with the workers at the time and yours below
If you want a picture, you have to pay the extra $45 trifle, a real scam and a scandal.
Nothing is explained to you before when you pay the $15.

Sky-high romance with a million-dollar view

By Maisie |

We watched the sunset from Top of the Rock, and it was pure magic—Manhattan glittering below, the Empire State in view, and just us. No crowds pushing, just quiet awe. Perfect for couples who want the skyline without the chaos. Totally unforgettable!

By Amanda E |

AMAZING a must do!!! Stunning views and helpful staff. Gift shop was good prices, the views are just insane- must go to if you are visiting NYC.

By Ahmed S |

The views from there are just amazing specially at night.

The staff is rude, but it did not tarnish the visit, the price is little bit expensive, specially if you have 7 people like me, tey to get it through city pass or something simillar.

A classic NYC Attraction

By Lucas & Abii |

A great experience with very little to comment on. Does exactly what is says on the tin. It is not super crowded so plenty of opportunity to look at all views, enjoy a drink in the bar and we even had the opportunity to have a photo with Santa Claus who was there for a photo session!

Pick another experience for the money.

By Christine S |

I never received my ticket link, so when I got there I had no QR codes and had to go to will call for them to locate and print my tickets. Took us off schedule by 30 minutes. At night.

The movie before being let outside was great. It’s not a big viewing area. The other photo opps are cheesy or a waste of money. No access to the Rockefeller tree for photos, which is the whole purpose for going there at Christmas. The view is fantastic, but it’s so small and so crowded. It’s great you can see the Empire State Building. But the value for the money wasn’t there. I picked the Top of the Rock for the tree and because I had a coupon for $30 off. The photo they do inside, the background isn’t even the tree! If it’s your first (and only) time going to NYC, go to the Empire State Building or another experience.

The View at the Prudential Center in Boston is bigger, a better experience and less money.

By BRENDA O |

Great views of all key landmarks. Show before observatory was informative. Nankoo was really helpful with identifying landmarks.

Rip off over priced

By Gillian M |

I was very disappointed with our first time visiting, a family of four. We paid over $200 for admission. We then paid $100 for the beam experience. When we finished we went to buy the photo. But the only way to get it was to buy two photo graphs for $75. I draw the line at the rip off of $75. I only wanted one photo of the Beam experience. Would I recommend this or do it again. NO. The Empire State Building was hands down better value and amazing views.

Rockafella

By Lewis B |

Amazing trip and topped off at the rockerfella centre. We both absolutely loved the building and the history behind it.

Disappointing end to a fantastic experience

By Mark Z |

Amazing views, amazing experience, but now they charge even for the digital pictures they take. They used to be included. If I'm paying extra for the beam and the new skylift, a digital picture should be included.

Amazing views

By isabella |

Amazing views of the city went at night time it was a great experience my family loved doing the beam would recommend it to anyone looking for amazing views of the city

Fantastic!

By Martin U |

We had booked the VIP package for our family. Unfortunately, there were discrepancies on arrival as the information in the tickets was ambiguous. After some discussions with the manager we were offered a very popular alternative.
The view from the platforms was impressive. The sunset behind the skyline was gigantic.
Due to the VIP package we had no waiting times at the elevators, The Beam or the Skylift. The photos taken there were very good and we received them digitally.
All staff were polite, friendly and accommodating. We would like to highlight Arlon from the Top of the Rocks Lounge. Especially with our initial problems he was very helpful, courteous and very committed to finding a solution.
Even if the VIP package was not cheap, it was very worth it. Especially because there were hardly any waiting times at elevators or at The Beam and the Skylift and we could take the photos at both attractions alone.
A great conclusion was the champagne or apple juice for the children on the beard terrace with unforgettable views over NYC.

Beautiful view but pricey

By Sheldon King |

Did the sunset view which was stunning. One direction you have all of central park before you. Turn around and you are staring directly at the empire state building. But be warned it is crazy busy with people and super expensive. Over 250 bucks for the 4 of us.

Cold but great views

By Amira C |

I really enjoyed my experience, even though it was very cold outside, the views were absolutely amazing! I will probably comeback again one day.

Recommended!

By Jennifer B |

One of the best to do in NYC plus don’t forget to get something from the gift shop. Snow globe is a recommended one! A must!…..

By Mariami B |

Unforgettable experience. We visited Rockefeller center second time this year and we can’t get enough of the view. The service is extra, with very friendly staff starting from the entry. I highly recommend it, when visiting NY.

Beam was amazing

By Joaquim A |

The tour was amazing and the Arlon Attention from the Vip Lounge was great and speaking Portuguese. It helped a lot. Super recommend this tour.

Great experience!

By Jane S |

They were friendly and accommodating. Great experience overall! So much for the the family for the holidays! Would recommendb

Great views

By Amanda A |

We loved our visit to Top of the Rock. This was one of our first attractions to visit in NYC. Arrived early to beat the queues. There is an interesting presentation on your way to the lift. When at the top, the view was amazing. Gives you a good perspective where all the major attractions are located. Nankoo one of the guides was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, pointing out the locations. Thank you Nankoo, you were great😀

By Shelley W |

Incredible views of the NYC skyline which includes the iconic Empire State Building - incredible experience and the best viewpoint in the city!

It was a little boring

By Chan0724 |

It was ok I thought the city view was great but no excitement. It would have been great if May e a life band was outside or a hot chocolate vendor set up outside. It needed something…

VIP Sunset tour at Rockerfeller

By MZA45 |

This was an absolutely amazing start to our NYC trip for our daughter’s 21st Birthday.
We were greeted in the lounge with a hot drink and a walk through of what we could expect by the wonderfully knowledgeable Nicholas, who would be our tour guide. He was personable, friendly and took the time to explain everything we needed to know. We have done similar tours, but he expertly took us through the Rockerfeller building, its history and pointed out hidden gems. He was happy to take pictures of our family and made us feel at ease throughout, answering all of our questions.
This really was a memorable tour and made all the better being placed in the hands of Nicholas - we cannot thank you enough! Mark, Zoey and Amy

More than an attraction !

By Christophe L |

Best attraction we did in NY because with the VIP pas it was more than attraction : a real and very interesting guided tour with Nicholas, a passionnated guide who went further than the scope of the visit to share his passion of art.

Fantastic views

By Jess T |

Fantastic views, able to experience the city in a different way! Entry was easy and the staff very friendly and Sophie in the shop at the end was lovely

Top of the rock

We did this for sunset, booking for 3.15pm and allowed plenty of time to reach top for sunset. Views of Empire State Building and overlooking central park were great. No long queues would recommend here

Cameron mad this tour unforgettable. He explained all details and hidden facts. He showed deep love for his job when he acted as our tour guide.
Thank you again. I was not expecting that it will be so good. Unforgettable moments at Rockefeller Center with tour guide Cameron.

AAA

By Cristina B |

We enjoyed the entire experience except The Beam. This attraction is too expensive for what it offers. It is just less than 30 seconds??? No way, we were all very disappointed ☹️
However Robert, the guy who sold us the tickets was really kind and nice with us. Thanks Robert for your kind attention ☺️

Kawan at the store was great!

Simply breathtaking

By Lisa H |

Great view. Friendly staff. Cards could be moved to another day if visibility was poor

Awful experience. Avoid and go for Empire State Building instead!

By Andrew C |

Huge queues when we arrived, herded into a holding area with no defined queuing system. Long wait to see the 5 minute show but when the doors opened we got crushed getting in as everyone was free to just push through as much as they wanted.

Kids couldn’t see the show because of sheer amount of people. Sign on wall of show room and the viewing deck gave a maximum occupancy I’m sure was significantly exceeded and therefore not safe.

When viewing upstairs the workers were shouting at people to keep moving so we couldn’t get a proper view at any point. There were also multiple people sat on windowsills blocking the view for a long time but this wasn’t challenged.

Another huge queue to get upstairs when the escalator broke and then another queue to get down.

Awful experience, far inferior to Empire State Building. Utter waste of money and the Rockefeller need to do better, if only to keep paying guests safe.

Wonderful

Amazing customer service - really enjoyed my shopping experience.

Amazing customer service - really enjoyed my shopping experience.

Nankoo - the best guide one can find!

By DVL |

This review is specifically for Nankoo - one of their guides, who went out of his way to help me and my 10-year old daughter when we went on a Top of the Rock visit recently. Once I reached the top, I was quite confused, as I couldn't locate the landmarks in the sea of skyscrapers, and I approached one of the security guards there and asked if someone can help explain the landmarks to me. They introduced me to Nankoo, one of their guides, who often does the VIP tours, but since he was free for a bit, he showed us all the major landmarks on both sides of the tower, gave us tips on hanging out in the cafe until sunset, and then doing the various rides there as well. He checked in on us anytime he could. He was so knowledgeable about all of the landmarks there, and the history of New York. I have never seen anyone go out of their way in a tourist location which is overflowing with people. God bless him and his family! My daughter had a great time interacting with him as well.

Amazing experience. Very find from start to finish. The staff were friendly and very informative. Best to go early to avoid queues

By Todd F |

Best observation experience in NYC..friendly staff. I did express and bypassed the need to be there at a certain time. Also brought directly inside. It is a "must" when visiting NYC. I added Jupiters 3 course meal which was very convenient and affordable. I highly recommend dining at Jupiters...I would order off the menu next time I visit. Jupiters has inside and outside seating at the rink level.
