+++++ The beach is beautiful. The father and son that rent out chairs and cabanas are phenomenal with a capital F. Such a great experience. As we enjoyed our time on the beach, the father and son insured our chairs and spots would be safe until our return. Wonderful!!!!!! We stayed at The Surf Beach Resort.

Treasure Island is BEAUTIFUL, ENTERTAINING, Lots of things to do!! We went parasailing at Johns Pass and ate at Bubba Gump restaurant which was Superb!! Also did a dinner cruise on a boat. Everyone we came into contact with was very nice and conversational. The locals gave us tips on where to go for fun. We stayed at Fusion Resort which was a very nice vibe. We got to wake up on the water every morning and watch the Sun come up, went bike riding to the beach which is literally like 5 min from the resort . Breathtaking beach! We Thoroughly enjoyed our entire trip. We will be back!!

Nice beach but it was a long walk to get to it. The hire of the sun beds were a little expensive but needed if you didn’t bring your own

The beach is one of the biggest I have ever been too. It was like a trek to from our hotel just to the water. It was crowded when we were there. It was clean and nice. Sand is white and soft

Beautiful beach. Just came down to Treasure Island to spend time in sunny State of Florida. Spend time on the beach

Enough said. Just beautiful views. The beaches were beautiful, not crowded and CLEAN! Perfect for kids, families, fishing, you name it!

Such a great place to relax, hunt for shells and swim. Beautiful white sand beaches and warm, clear water. Amazing sunsets almost every night!

Nicest beach in Florida next to St. Petes and Passagrille beach. All the beaches in this area at excellent. Seen dolphins from the beach and what a beautiful sunset!!!!

Very enjoyable experience staying in condo on this beach, being an easy walk away from the sand. Beach was clean and uncrowded during our early May visit. Mostly easy walking, though lots of clusters of small shells. Great place for fabulous sunsets. Cabanas are available for rent but that can be pricey. It's okay to bring your own canopy or cabana and beach chairs. We'll be back.

The beach is very wide and clean. There are seashells everywhere. You have plenty of room. There was a volleyball net set up. You can rent chaise lounges and umbrellas.

They lock the restrooms at 5pm! Beware if the parking wars. The walk to the beach sucks. The water is great though. Nice white sand, IF you can get a spot. VERY HOT in the afternoon.

We stayed at a resort near the beach. The water was not warm enough to swim, but we enjoyed walking up and down the beach. While we were there, they had a beach fest with live bands, vendors and food. They also had amazing sand sculptures. If you went out early in the morning, you could find great shells. There are chairs and umbrellas available to rent.

Treasure Island beach is probably one of the best beaches we have been to period. As we stayed close to beach parking and access was not an issue.
Clean, lots of shells and white sand for miles ,very quiet, water lovely and warm in May.

My husband went here on a day trip. We went on a nice sunny day. We got there early so it was not crowded . The water was warm and the sand was pretty. It was a good choice and we will return!

Gotta stop to say hi to Turbo who basically rents items to visitors soaking up the sun on the beach. Perfect beach for wading, relaxing, a swim, or a sunset.

I loved this beach. It was our first time here and it was lovely. It was great for adults and kids and teens. Close to food, shopping and hotels. We will come back.

We have been visiting the St Pete Beach/Clearwater Beach for 30 years, we really love Treasure Island. Plenty of beach to walk, including boardwalk. Beautiful sunset!

The beach is extended away from the Hotels, motels and condo, One of the nicer beaches in a heavily populated area....not too crowded out on the beach

The water was perfect and the beach was beautiful and clean. We stayed an entire week and every time we went down to the beach it was never overcrowded.

This was a great beach to visit with the family! There was a snack bar right off the beach. The beach was pretty clean. There were a lot of sea birds visiting as well and plenty of shells to check out!

Our first visit after 35 years and although much of the infrastructure had changed, the beach was as glorious as we remembered it.

For the second year in a row we traveled to Treasure Island Beach to view the sand sculptures created by artists from all over the world at the Sanding Ovations competition. We usually do this the Monday after the competition so we can walk the boardwalk, have lunch and listen to Fiona sing at the outdoor bar at the Thunderbird resort. There is so much to do at Treasure Island Beach. It is a great place to people watch and meet new friends.

Love this location! Treasure Island has the most beautiful beach. Loved the drumming Sunday night. Very family friendly. The birds are fun to watch. Great time!

Outstanding beach. Large enough to handle a crowd. Small enough to walk from one end to the other. White sand, shells, and an occasional dolphin sighting.

Wide expanse of beautiful white sand! Great beach for swimming with gentle waves and warm water. Lots of shells, too!

Our condo was right on the beach which gave us great sunsets and long walks on white sands. Lots of activity yet quiet during the evening.....except on New Years Eve! A few fireworks to bring in the new year! A great family spot!

We stayed in Treasure Island for 3 nights at a Beautiful Condo right on the beach! Weather was fantastic so we beached it all 3 days! White sandy beach with some shells to be had by the few people that were sharing the area with us. As I love the Clearwater beach, this is much the same only way less crowded and will most def. be going back!

We visited Treasure islands so many times. It is long shallow water. Beautiful clean beach. This place is very good for family, specially with little kids.
Unfortunately, this area had so bad damaged from hurricane Helen in 2024.There were still working on fixing so many hotels and motels. It was hard to find to stay our family last time,March 2025.But We will go back there soon!

just a great beach to visit. always something to do and friendly people. the sand is nice, and its pretty clean

White sands. Clear water. What more could you want? Great location within Pinellas County in close proximity to many amenities.

We love treasure island. The beach is always clean and no big crowds like St. Petersburg Beach or Clearwater beach. And yet there are still restaurants and bars walkable. Just a very nice place to get away and relax.

The beach was clean and water was calm. There had been rain during the week so it wasn't as clear as we had hoped.

Love Treasure Island Beach. One of my favorites. They keep it clean and local cops patroling are always friendly! Cant wait to go back.

The girls first visit to the beach/ocean. Beautiful Beach. People were socially distancing. The girls loved it. Well maintained.

Came down to Treasure Island for a short family getaway. Had a great time, the town is pretty clean and the beach is nice and fairly quiet. The food and restaurants we ate at were outstanding...we will definitely come back!

No crowd, friendly people. Caddy’s has refreshments; otherwise bring your own. Be sure and observe parking laws.

Great beach with lots of space so you are not crammed in next to other people. Amazing views and soft white sand

Don't park in any lot that says it is A privately owned lot and is managed by FL Parking Company. We parked and paid for an hour at a restaurant, not realizing the restaurant was overcrowded and it took a long time to be served. We expected to pay for an additional hour, but returning to the vehicle, we received a citation. One hour parking was $6 and thought the overtime into a second hour would be another $6.00. The citation was for $63.00, but was reduced to $43.00 if you paid within the 72 hours. The citation said the fine would be $63.00 if you paid later, then $$103 after 30 days The citation threatens that if you don't pay at all, that your credit rating, vehicle registration, license renewal and ability to rent a vehicle may affected.
Also try to get in touch with the Company or the website at FLCitation.com.
What a rip-offf, no restaurant is that good, which this one was not.
Don't be taken like we were and avoid this company or any other lot that says it is a privately ownd lot.

Great beaches .I live here so this is where we take our guest when visiting us. A lot of hidden gems .

One of my favorite beaches. I would go around 9am and there was plenty of parking and less crowded on the beach. It would get more crowded around 12/1pm but still plenty of space. The water and sand are perfect. So many beautiful shells. You can rent chairs and umbrellas there, even paddle boards. The walk from the lot was not far at all and the bathrooms were clean.

Beach was beautiful, not crowded and sunsets were beautiful. Walking distance to restaurants and bars.

Beautiful and relaxing time at the beach. Lots of sun, nice breeze, not crowded, and able to just read and unwind and enjoy the sun and time with family.

Beautiful beach. Hope to return one day.you can walk what seems like forever on the beach. Saw birds and really enjoyed our visit.

Beautiful beach. Very clean with lots to do up and down the coast. Clear water, white sand. Great place to spend the day!

Florida is full of beach bars and hotes. Treasure Island is one of the few with a nice walking path along the beach. Not long like the one in Santa Monica, California, but nice to take a walk off the sand :)
We lived nearby for many years here. Beautiful sunsets. Sunday Drum Circle. Beach bars a plenty.
Grab a towel and take a dip in the ocean. You may even see dolphins on the rare occasion

First time to Treasure Island. Huge wide beach and gentle surf. Lots of restaurants, shops, bars nearby. The well know Shake Shack adjacent to our hotel, Residence Inn.

Have been to this area a few times but never to their beach. Was recommended this beach and we were not disappointed.. Long and wide beach with lovely sand. After Siesta Keys this was the 2nd best beach we visited between Naples and Clearwater. Next time we intend spending more time on this beach. Btw we found free parking near to the beach but even now don't know if we were inappropriately parked. Fortunately we never got a ticket

We recently went to Treasure Island Beach for the first time and it was a wonderfully restful week. The public beach was right across the street from our hotel. Easy access. Public facilities very accessible. Beach was very clean however, sand should be tilled to remove excess shells and debris from ocean. Would definitely return!

Relax, play, stroll on this beautiful white sand beach. If you like to collect shells, they are here. How peaceful and calming this was. The water was warm, the waves were low, the sand was clean. Folks still surfed, though. This was pure joy. Clean pavilions were available for shade and special events. There were bathrooms and outside showers readily available. A delightful place to return.

I really enjoyed walking along the beach or even on the concrete walkway that goes on for quite a distance. Great for sunsets, too!

Expansive beach, not too crowded, beautiful sunsets, lots of pretty seashells. Waves weren’t too choppy and water isn’t too deep. Had a blast. Great for families.

Only there for a long weekend, but spent 2 days at the beach and loved it. If you’re looking for a soft white sand this is not the beach for you. But lots of seashells all along the water.

We were on the beach here everyday. Even found my 1st sharks tooth. I stayed on Treasure Island since i was young and it still looks the same. Love it.

You cannot beat our beautiful sandy beach here at Treasure Island Florida. Wide open spaces and panoramic view of our incredible sunsets make this the perfect place to come and relax. Visit from out of state or come over if you live here and enjoy the cool breezes and maybe see some dolphins too.

The beach is extremely clean and quiet with nice sand and crazy clear water. It was one of our favorite Florida beach. Sunset view was stunning!

This is a sugar sand beach and beautiful ocean views. Rent a cabana for 30 a day or bring our own chairs. Nice bathroom area

Beach is great perking is very expensive the worst thing is the amount of homeless under the bridge going to johns pass and the local law enforcement does nothing about them and they are doing drugs under the bridge but they will harass, people fishing, checking their fishing license I think the law enforcement there should really crack down on the homeless and the people doing drugs. It’s not a safe place after the sunset.

Lots to do within walking distance. Good food overall. Drum Circle on Sunday Nights. Farmer's Market on Friday's. Lots of Live Music.

We LOVE this Beach! Clean and good walking; especially the paved trail. The BEST Sunsets! Cannot wait to go back some day!

Treasure Island has a really large beach. It's not soft sand. I'd describe it as crushed shells, and the kids said it hurt their feet.
The town caters to adults who like to drink. There are a host of not-too-kid-friendly bars in town. There's a unique Drum Circle on the beach right outside of the public beach (Treasure Island Gulffront Park) every Sunday. It's a large circle of people who gather together to enjoy spontaneous rhythms, drinking, and smoking pot. When the wind is coming in your direction, the aroma settles in. There's an unshaded little playground down at the South end of the Island. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place as ideal for young kids.

Big beach. Not overcrowded. White sand and lots of umbrellas and chairs and cabanas to rent if you are not staying directly on the beach and don’t have access. Folks that rent the cabanas and chairs are the nicest people. Always make you feel so welcome. Special shout out to Turbo and Lili who have been renting for a number of years. They also have kayaks and paddle boards. Dolphin sightings and lots of water birds.

We stayed at Island Inn Resort on Treasure Island. The wave/current was soft and low and good for kids and elderly. The sand is white and soft. The water was warm in early August. The beach was uncrowded, wide, and long.

Awesome beach stay with amazing food. Walk on the beach which is so clean and the sand is sugar sand. Enjoy the sunshine and ocean.

My favorite beach hands down and I have visited alot from the west to the east coast. Flordias best kept secret. Not crowded nor are there kids parting. We stay every year for 7 days and are on the beach every day from the Bilmar and my favorite thing is napping on the beach. Safe area. Sand is soft powder. Make sure you rent your umbrellas and cabanas from Turbo and his wife they are AMAZING!!!!!

We stayed at the John''s Pass end of the beach, by the inlet leading in to the harbour there. There are quite a few fishing spots by the inlet, and a little "pier" at the end. It is a lovely beach with plenty of shelling, including hermit crab shells, starfish etc. If you like walking, this is just the place as you can walk a long, long way along the clean, wide beach. At several points there are umbrellas and sunshades available for rent and food and drink to keep you going!

The beach seemed to stretch for miles, and there was enough room for all who arrived, at the time we were there.
There are chairs and parasols to hire although we did not do this. The beach is kept clean and tidy with bins emptied daily , and is closed from 1am to 6 am each day.
There is also a boardwalk (concrete) which is at the top of the beach for those who want a change from walking on the sand , which also has a selection of cafes for refreshments.
A popular event is the evening sunset , the delight of the huge sky , the pelicans feeding and the setting sun on the water is something that provides lasting memories of a delightful t8me spent here.

Spend a perfect weekend there with my daughter. We went to see the Sanding Ovation Master Cup and fell in love with the beach~~it really is prettier than the Atlantic~~~wide beaches, amazing sunsets~~

Excellent white sand beach..never heard of Treasure Island...but stayed there and really appreciated it...nice white sand beaches and clear water

Even after the September storm and the remodeling of the Beach Sunset Beach is still ok. The Beach authorities have done so far a great job 😀!

Do not let your guard down at this beach. Your personal belongings will be stolen. I had my small handbag taken that was sitting right next to me. It had my ID, bank cards, credit card, insurance cards and everything important. I was taking sand off my 4 year old’s feet for literally less than 1 minute when I got distracted and the purse was stolen. Avoid the drum circle! It attracts transients and homeless people. Dont feel safe although this is called a family friendly beach. The upside is there are police patrolling all the time.

The beach is great but the St. Petersburg municipal beach facilities are very old and beat up. Bathrooms had missing tiles and seemed filthy. Not very family friendly

Spent a lot of time at this beach growing up. Great place to visit and the sand and water are wonderful

Loved this beach. Not too busy. Very clean and peaceful. White sand. No partying kids. Very nice. Super sweet town.

Longest beach I ever saw, but fine white sand and really nice water. Great for walking along, sea shell hunting and sunbathing. Got a litlle swimming in too....

This is a large beach and generally less crowded than St Pete or Clearwater. Excellent sunsets. Convent public beach access and easy to walk up bar at the Bilmar hotel for food and drinks. Large inflated slide for kiddos. Little way up the beach is Johns Pass for water activities , lunch and shopping.

Family vacation to Treasure Island for Spring Break! Stayed within easy walking distance to the beach. Enjoyed the inflatable kid attractions and available rental cabanas and lounge chairs (easier than carrying all of our gear). Family friendly beach and nice restroom facilities. Parking convenient if driving.

We traveled to St. Pete Beach for a week and visited a different beach each day. This was one of our favorites. It's a quiet, laid back atmosphere. Plenty of area to set up your canopy, beach chairs and relax.

So gorgeous, big, under developed and not having the crazy crowds of Clearwater that we decided to come back again in the future here.
Not the flour like sand of Clearwater but the same warm water with lot of fish and wildlife. We will be back purely for the quietness.

Great quiet beach. We loved how there weren’t day-trippers or typical beach wild partying riff raff. It was safe and serene. We’ll definitely be back!

The Treasure Island beach is nice. They have a ton of hotel bars up and down the beach. You must pay to park, but it’s Flordia...

We so enjoyed the Beach at Treasure Island. The water was warm and calm. There was some seaweed, but it didn’t hinder the experience. We found numerous shells along the beach. This was a great beach, and we will return.

I loved Treasure island so much. I loved that the people were so nice, so welcoming and so helpful. You just don't find that everywhere. It was a great community!!

Beautiful beach ! It wasn’t crowded . Beautiful shells and water . It was quiet . Nice weather . The people who were on the beach were friendly . Dogs not allowed.

Very nice beach and a plus is the boardwalk. Alot of shells on the beach but get there early in the morning if you want the good ones along with sand dollars. Went during spring break and not crowded at all.

We’ve been here multiple times. There is a lot to do and the kids enjoy it. The beach is vast and clean.

Clean and soft white sand. Not crowded. Close to John's Pass, but Treasure Island has numerous restaurants and shops. A little less congested than the northern beaches in the area.

Gorgeous beach with loads of activities and tiki huts to have a cold one. Great sunsets each evening. We enjoyed a large kite flying group which was entertaining. Large concrete path perfect for walking or biking. Very user friendly. The sand is soft and white. Fun place to spend time

We stayed on Treasure Island beach for 6 days and it was beautiful. Wonderful sandy beach. I enjoyed walking on the beach in the early morning. The sunsets just gorgeous!

Local tatted hoodlums, mostly cheap motels. We were in a very costly room at a resort that shouldn’t be
Located here.

The beach wasn't crowded but I don't know if that's because it was so long that it would hold a large number of people.

The sand display was nice but the Red Tide smell was still present.
We need to ban together to stop the politians from permitting waste dumps which create red tide.
Furthermore, the plastic rubbage which also endangers the aquatic life, needs to be stopped via hefty fines.

A great place for a family vacation. Clean well kept. Its the beach its always great! Never to crowded even during the busy season. Always a great time!

Beautiful beach great for families and couples. Locals are all so nice. Restaurant’s and shops right there in the area. Definitely would go again and again. Sunsets are beautiful.

Great beach with easy access. Several public lots to park costs a couple bucks an hour. Bathrooms by the lots and snack bar available at the lot on 112th and Gulf

The beach was a little crowded. However, I expect that at this time of the year. It was still nice. The water was warm, the beach was clean.

Beautiful, clean, relaxing beach! It was not crowded but its off season so that might make a difference. Hotels are set back so it has a more undeveloped feel which we liked. But there are places you can walk to for food and drinks. Water was nice - hardly any seaweed or debris. As nice as the Caribbean!

We drove down from Kissimmee for Kite Festival.
Dozens of tethered kites of all size and design, some big enough to be seen from a distance and some small accents to the others.
Then come the competition kites. Small, light kites with multiple wires and fancy control handles.
Coordinated choreographed "dances" with 4, 5 even 9 kites.
Individual kiters who can make their kites seem almost alive.
What a wonderful festival on a wonderful, beautiful beach.
One tip, parking is limited and fills fast. We went early, parked in the lot next to the beach, and went to eat breakfast.

This is the first time we have stayed at Treasure Island and we loved it! We have stayed at Pass A Grill beach before and they are similar. We actually drove down to Pass-A-Grill on our vacation this time too, and it was busier than Treasure Island. There are many shops to shop at, a Publix, Post Office, 7-11, and many restaurants within walking distance! The beach is clean and has beautiful sunsets. We saw many dolphins too!

Nice, large, clean beach. There’s live music along the boardwalk by the resorts. Rental chairs, games.
The boardwalk is really nice. Lots of sea life and beautiful sunsets. Great place.

This is my absolute favorite beach. It is so quiet and remote. The views are spectacular and the sunsets are breathtaking. You can also see cruise ships coming in and out as well. If you are wanting a quiet beach this is your beach.

The Beach in itself is a Treasure! Always sea shells to be found and depending on the tides, all varieties. You can see clear through the water and the sand is delicious and easy to maneuver on.

This place is paradise!!! We stayed right on the beach and rented chair and an umbrella. The beach wasn’t crowded, the water was amazing, the waves were not harsh....seriously the perfect beach! We definitely plan on returning!

The stupid automated parking machine stole $5 from me and didn't print a parking ticket. There was no phone number to call, no manager on site, no way to report this. So then I had to pay for parking again with my credit card.
The bathrooms are locked up and barricaded a couple hours before the park actually closes. Very annoying since we specifically chose this beach park and paid to park there because it had bathrooms! The parking lot was full of empty beer cans and garbage. The beach itself is very nice but the town needs to manage the facilities better. The other parks we stopped at along the coast were much nicer.

Weather was perfect, beach breath taking, ocean such beautiful colors and so inviting, enhanced experience with friends at my side. Perfect in every way. Big Smiles!

Great place to relax and to have good time with your loved ones! White sand, warm water, the water is so clear that it seems to be swimming in a pool. The spot near the bridge across the road you will see bars and restaurants with a beautiful landscape.
Me and my wife enjoyed every minute.

Nice beach town. Hotels, restaurants and bars are on the sand side. It is a long walk to the water. It was raining so our walk was short. Not too crowded there is a lot of room to spread

Absolutely beautiful. We walked it every night and get safe doing it. Cant wait to get back to beach

This was our first trip to the Gulf Coast of FL.....we will be back! Treasure Island is a great place---not overly busy, but only 40 minutes from Tampa's airport. Treasure Island is located a few miles north of St Pete (which is a nice beach but a little busier). The Gulf Coast is beautiful! Blue water. We stayed at Residence Inn (Marriott) which is at the north end of Treasure Island. A really good location with a nice concrete beach walk way.

An absolute beautiful beach. You have tons of hotels/condo's to pick from and tons of places to eat, all in walking distance of where you stay. The beach is huge, very quiet but very fun

Treasure Island beach may not be the best beach on the Gulf Coast but it is still very pretty and it is a great place to sit back and relax and enjoy the ocean views. This beach is right across the street from our hotel and is very accessible. nice wide area to pitch a beach tent or umbrella and they have a area to play beach volleyball plus a nice small snack bar.

This beach had everything we needed, plenty of parking -$6 all day toilets, showers, changing area, snack bar, umbrellas and bed hire $30 for umbrella and 2 beds
Sand was powder with ground up shells
Sea was warm a little wavy but when tide goes out it leaves a shallow child friendly causeway with shells and fish, lots of impressive birds
Absolutely would visit again

Treasure Island Beach is one of the best walking beaches. Parking is close by and in walking distance to many restaurants. One thing that would have made it better for people who fly in from around the world would be beach umbrella's and lawn chairs that either the resort cares for or a vendor.

This is the 5th vacation we have made it to Treasure Island. Clear water and white sands. It’s close to so many other fun spots. Something for the whole family to enjoy as well as just a couple get away. Definitely something to add to your bucket list.

My husband and our best friends went here for a short 3 day vacation. The beaches were CLEAN, BEAUTIFUL and so relaxing. My son and daughter in law actually had gone here about 3 months prior and recommended this beach. It lived up to his recommendation of a great beach.

This was our second time to TI Beach. Love the beach here as its long and thr water is shallow. Sand stays cool and water was perfect! Public beaches have concession stands and snacks as well as showers and restrooms. Everything you need for a great beach trip!

Despite being in the busy Pinellas County area, Treasure Island Beach is still an awesome place! I was there for a wedding and the weather was gorgeous. The beach is massive with plenty of room though some sections of the beach are cordoned off for businesses and private homes. The sand is soft though not a soft as the sand in the Panhandle. The sunset was amazing. The West Florida beaches are some of the best places in the country for sunsets. Parking on other hand is terrible and expensive. Unless you stay at an expensive beachfront hotel or close enough to walk, it will be hard to find a place to park. With the pros and cons, I feel overall this is an average beach as far as Florida beaches go.

Fabulous white sandy beach , with clear water. Very clean, umbrellas, beds available to rent by the hour or by the day. We spent a couple of days here to get away from the hustle of the Orlando parks . It’s a 2 hour drive , and we’ll worth it to experience the real Florida. Fabulous!

Beautiful and Clean. A Gem for sure. Plenty of open sand for lounging. It is a quiet Beach and the water is great.

Treasure Island is a beautiful beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Since this beach is on the Gulf coast, the waves are smaller and gentler.

Lots of shells and space to relax and get in the water. We were close to an access point which made it nice. We enjoyed our time.

Pretty clean beach. Noticed cleanup vehicle on the beach in the mornings. Sand was very soft in most places, but every now and then there were areas with broken shells. Not as crowded as I expected, so it was nice. I didn’t notice any lifeguards on the beach.

Treasure Island Beach has a nice walk out to get to the cabana row and then a little more to the water. Sand is white, soft and beautiful! Good exercise and never seems crowded! Also has a wide sidewalk behind the buildings parallel to the beach that runs the entire distance of Treasure Island. Very nice walks for leisure or exercise. You will see reguar joggers, walkers, pets walkers and bicylists. Cafes and beach bars along the way too!

If you like a large beach filled with soft, baby powder sand, go here. You can rent umbrellas and chairs right on the beach. It's not crowded, it's not loud. It's a perfect beach for relaxing alone or with your family.

Really enjoyed taking daily walks on the paved sidewalk, which is wide enough for walkers, skateboards, motorized bikes and runners.

Treasure Island, Florida, has one of the best beaches. The beach is extremely wide. It is maintained very well. It is always clean. The Gulf of Mexico is extremely calm and the temperature is usually so comfortable to be in. It was 86 degrees during the first week of August. It is never too crowded, either. The sunsets are spectacular. I have been going to Treasure Island, Florida, since 1969. I love it and will continue to vacation there.

We spend a few hours on treasure island beach. The beach is clean but a little crowded. There are beach umbrellas for rent for $15 each however they take them away by 5pm. There is a small but very convenient parking lot adjacent to the beach for $2/hour as well as fresh water showers, bathrooms, vending machines and a little seating are. The only con is the walk from the parking lot through the bushy area to the beach.

Nice place to visit with lots of parking available. Most is metered so pay attention to where you park.

The beach was clean and very pretty. The water was a bit cold for us, it was also busy with a lot of others that were on break.

No crowds, friendly people. Never so crowded that you can’t find a spot. Ka’Tiki and Caddy’s have refreshments; otherwise bring your own. Be sure and observe parking laws.

This is our third venture to St Petes Island in 5 years. Every beach we have visited is astounding, including Treasure Island. 3 more days here, out of 9, and already planning our 2022 Spring adventure back.

Clean huge beach is framed by a wide walking/cycling path accessible for all. We walked the path one way and the beach back and loved it.

Beautiful beach, it's more packed sand with more small shells mixed in verses the fluffy white sand of Panama city beach area. It's about 1/4 mile from resorts to waters edge. Area is very clean.

A very relaxing week at the beach. Treasure Island Beach was nice sand and Gulf of Mexico was cool at 71 but very nice. Lots of shells to pick up and enjoyed reading my book. Also enjoyed swimming and sunning in my normal fashion attire
(Thong) with no problems.

Treasure Island Beach nice. Hotels a little further to Gulf than St Pete. A lot of hotels had Bar and/or Restaurant on beach side for all patrons. Great vibes for couples and/or families. Would definitely return.

The beach is great but it is a long walk to the water and Worth every step. The area where we stayed had a beautiful boardwalk that was almost a mile long.

Good beach ,clean, quiet perfect for relaxing ,you can see dolphins, pelicans and another species. Is better if you bring your own seat . No lifeguard

Nice clean sand. I was very surprised that it was very nice for February and not super cold. It was great for walking and other beach activities. Very large beach. My family and I very much enjoyed our stay.

The most southern part of treasure island is smaller beach,
I fell in love, For 3 years I was there twice a week.

Visited this beach at least 200 times over the past winters, great walk in the fine sand.its groomed every day. Many attractions tgere every day.Very busy beach.Beach chairs to be hired and a very nice staff to help with chairs etc.would recommend it to anyone who woukd like to have a nice walk in the sand .oh my forgot the many bars and food places along Tge beach.

Beautiful beach. Clean. Bring your own chair, umbrella and cooler. They do have lounge chairs and Shade that you can rent for the day. See dolphins pretty regular. Don't forget swim shoes as there are a lot of shells!

Great place to put your toes in the sand to relax, swim or go hunting for seashells. We have been coming to this beach for over 25 years. There is none better.

This was a nice typical Florida beach. The water was warm and the day was hot. It was nothing special, but it was fun.

Beaches have brown water and miles of rotting dead fish, dolphin and birds. Smells , makes your eyes sting and you cough. Who wants to vacation in water that will poison you? Dumping Piney Point sludge into the bay like it was safe........

We loved the beaches here so much that we moved here. We enjoy the white sand beaches and wide beaches to just hand out and relax.
Parking can be a challenge sometimes but even in summer you can still find spots to park.

Had an amazing time. Beach wasnt too crowded. Lots of reasonably priced activities. Be sure to head over to super scoops for an amazing ice cream with made fresh right there waffle cones and bowls.

Great clean Beach. Short walk to John's pass. You're allowed to fish anywhere on the beach as well. Short access to Madeira Beach as well.

Treasure Island Beach is very clean, relaxing and family friendly. Lots to do, riding bikes on the broad walk is especially fun.

The reason I like this beach was that it was not crowded. We could walk or jog along the water in the mornings or evenings. The sand was white and soft.....made this Minnesota girl think it was snow. ; ) Only better.

Beautiful, clean, white sand beach. This is one of the nicest beaches we have ever been on - and we are in our 70s. It connects to other beaches which means you can walk for miles along the gulf. We stayed at a resort right on Treasure Island Beach which gave us easy access to the beach to stroll, people-watch, and find a few shells. We could also enjoy a view of the beach from our balcony. We definitely look forward to visiting the Treasure Island area again.

Treasure Island Beach goes on for miles and is great for walking morning, noon or night. The beach is very wide in many places, is clean and uncrowded. Visiting during Covid I tried to avoid people as much as possible, and beach walking was great and easy to do.

Very big beach clean and not crowded at all not many shells near gulf. Lots of trash cans and emptyed everyday.

This tiny, charming place is loaded with places to stay but still manages to retain a small-town feel. Unlike nearby Clearwater, you can actually see the gulf in between the buildings. In Clearwater, the almost shoulder to shoulder high-rises, while beautiful do then to give the shore road a closed off feeling. At Treasure Island, whether you choose a gulf-facing resort or more modest accommodation inland, you won't be far from the water. The beaches here are deep and really wide, so expect a hike from either your hotel or any of the public beach access points to get to the water. Good to know: You can rent a "dune buggy" style wheelchair (while supplies last) at any of the public beach buildings, which also include showers, restrooms, a snack bar, and beach stuff for purchase. Bonus: You can borrow kid's life vests for free. There's a long cement "boardwalk" that bisects the space between the backs of hotels and the beach. While we visited, there was a collection of huge inflatable water slides that get inflated every day and deflated every night near the Bilmar Resort. Between the flat surfaces and the cement "boardwalk," this place is very walkable. Things to do: Plenty. The beach, restaurants, shopping, water sports. Visit John's Pass, an outdoor mall (paid parking here) for food, drink, shops, watercraft rentals, dolphin tours, sunset tours, and of course, the "pirate ship" experience aaargh! Good to know: Don't walk on the dunes to preserve ocean life. Wear sand shoes on the beach. You'll have to cross shell encrusted sand before you reach the hard-packed, smooth powdery sand near the shore.

I have visited Treasure Island Beach multiple times and love it. The beach is extremely clean and gulf waters are generally calm and clear. There is plenty to do beside swimming when your in the area. One can rent jet skis, you can go on dolphin watches, there is parasailing, museums, and an aquarium nearby with Winter and Hope. The restaurants are great and cater to a variety of tastes. Treasure Island beach allows you to miss big crowds especially if you go during the months of September and October. I especially enjoy going on relaxing walks at the water's edge. Just a great place to visit!

Went to Treasure Island to attend Sanding Ovations sand sculpture competition and experienced the wonderful white sands of Treasure Island Beach. Enjoyed every minute of it

a beautiful long beach, lovely sand, numerous good bars at intervals along the beach, kite flying etc

I have been coming to this area for 35 years. The beach is beautiful. The gulf typically doesn't have the waves that the Atlantic side does unless there is a storm in the area. Very laid back, more family oriented. Lots of restaurants to choose from and many activities to entertain the young and old alike. About 2 hours to Orlando. Closest airport is Tampa or St Pete/Clearwater.
Treasure Island will not disappoint!

The beach is immense with white sugary sand, pretty seashells, a variety of birds to watch, and gentle waves. You can rent umbrellas or cabanas and chairs which is helpful as there is no shade.

Very nice beach. Drum circles on Sunday night (not for little kids) but definitely a good place to dance and drink a beer

Beautiful water, amazing views and soft white sand. We spent 2 days here. Great place to relax. The sunsets was wonderful!

This is our favorite Florida beach and we have been to lots of them. The beach is not crowded, clean and in a great location. You can get to St. Petersburg for great tourist attractions, such as museums, parks, baseball, dining, and more in less than 30 min. need I say more.

First time visiting Treasure Island beach and am planning to return. The beach is large, clean and beautiful. Saturday afternoon there was a bit of partying going on, but only one group was loud and obvious about it. The rest of the time we were there it was lovely, quiet beach

Treasure island beach is fabulous white sand, pristinely clean, great for a day out. The sea is really warm To swim in.

Great concrete Boardwalk approx 1 mile long! Can bike, blade and walk here! Pools facing the beach and 2 beer opportunities at a small tiki bar behind the Thunderbird Hotel and at Sloppy Joe’s. Beach is wide and a bit granular from tiny shells but great jogging or walking near the water. Red Tide can be a nuisance to some when it appears but all in all nice beach and Boardwalk!

Well, of all the beaches, gulf and ocean-side destinations we've frolicked at, or on, Treasure Island beach absolutely ranks in the top 5. Others in the top 5 include Turks and Caicos, several beaches in Mexico, and bringing up the rear would be the panhandle of Florida from Destin to Orange Beach, Alabama.
The sands are not pink like you'll find south of this area say, in Sarasota out on Lido Key and Siesta, but the sand is a gorgeous white with a mix of larger shell fragments thrown in for contrast.
Treasure Island beach does boast itself as one of Florida's "widest" beach. This is a wonderful attribute but recognize that if your dragging enough stuff to the beach that you might be termed "a beach contractor", having to plow your way across the state's widest beach may seem like work.
The really wide section of this beach is actually limited, and you can use Google Earth to locate exactly where this widest point is.
This is a fantastic beach for couples, families, and everyone in between.
Now, SWIM!!!

The beach was walking distance from our hotel. Offered clean restrooms and a snack store. Beach items to rent and if you want a 2 chairs and a cabana for the day only $30. Nice walking sidewalk too. I loved the beach.

Long stretches of beach without a to of businesses taking up the beach real estate. Parking can be difficult. but there is a nice municipal lot if you don't mind a short walk.

It is a nice quiet area although we went in October so may be off season. Was busier on the weekend, but still very quiet. Great family beach too.

The beach was a great couple of hours of our afternoon. There is a great little food stand with beach stuff to get started on your afternoon. After a $5 chair, we had an awesome time.

This beach is always clean and we enjoy the board walk. Even though there are hotels lining the beach there is plenty of room For every beach goer.....you can spread out and play a little frisbee, volleyball or bocce Ball. The sand castle contest is always a fun event to attend with amazingly talented artists and fun art & food booths.

Try to find a small street off Gulf Boulevard That says “beach access”. There are a few. We picked one that wasn’t near too many resorts. They have metered parking for about 10 cars. The beaches are beautiful, clean and less crowded than the larger parking lot beaches and it’s a short walk over a little path. Just a note - There are no bathroom facilities if that is an issue for you. Get the mobile parking app and just add money to your meter from your beach chair. Really relaxing!

Treasure Island is a spectacular beach. The sand seems endless and the breezy fun events ensure it's always bustling. It is large enough, though, to find some peace and tranquility..

Treasure island beach is very fine sand like quicksand it has a lot of shells but smaller ones. I’ll be here for 10 days the weekends seem to start on Thursday here at the beach and t gets crowded. during the week there’s hardly Anyone on the beach

Our entire stay was met with great service and friendly workers.
Ample parking and shops everywhere. Had a great stay

To this, what can be said, take off the winter coat, dip your feet in the ocean, and soak up the sunshine.

Wide white sand beach. Plenty of space for everyone. Shallow water great for little kids. Clean! Nice people. Most important, relaxing! Great place!

Beautiful water, beautiful beach in sunny Florida! We spent 4.5 days here and loved every minute on the beach. The sunsets are absolutely stunning!

Treasure island is a beautiful beach with a lot going on! The water is a crystal blue and refreshing, the sand is fine and white. Not rocky whatsoever. There’s restaurants/bars along the beach along with chair/umbrella rentals. I never felt like the beach was too crowded either. Definitely a must visit!

Incredible beach! It goes on and on.....I've been coming here for 40 years and will continue to do so!

Gorgeous beach. Surprised the boardwalk was so empty. Made me want to start marketing for them. Passed some beautiful homes and hotels and a couple ice cream shops. Great colors. Excellent weather. As soon as we got to the beach there was a lady covered in holes in her flesh telling me to be careful-I told her Not to worry that I had about a decade sobriety- then she proceeded to tell me her jokes were from rats from a gross apartment 🤮 I don’t know what’s worse. Killed my experience. But it was still beautiful. I just understand why it’s empty

I went parasailing for my birthday yesterday at Treasure Island , Captain Tony and crew was amazing, . Had an awesome time loved it, highly recommend it with the Captains expertise it was a beautiful relax ride meeting with the sky and the clouds unforgettable.

The sand is very easily walked. We logged 10 miles one day and 7 miles another day, just by walking by the water, on the path up by the gulf front hotels and on the sidewalk on the street side. This helps us find our gulf front dining options as well.
Forget about crossing the street at a stoplight - they take forever to change. Find the pedestrian crossings. Press the button and the vehicles immediately stop so you can quickly cross the street.
We stayed at Treasure Bay, across the street from the gulf, but in a gulf view room. We could walk anywhere!
We walked to the furthest south point of Treasure Island where the seashells are a few inches deep. They are mostly crushed or small but if you walk the rest of the beach, right after high tide, you might find some decent shells. There are boat trips to an island that apparently has better shells.
The water is beautiful and there are lots of outdoor activities to try. Parasailing, boating, scooter/bike/motorbicycle rentals, etc.

Great beach and not as crowded as some of the nearby beaches. If your looking for a good family friendly beach, and just a quick drive to popular destination in Tampa and Clearwater beach.

Very nice beach, not crowded, and good amount of space and peace. Unfortunately Red Tide prevents swimming ... However there is a nice one mile long trail that takes you along the beach. It is perfect for a stroll or a short run.

We are popping down to the everglades for a Air boat ride and booked an over night at Treasure Island to break up the journey, this is a beautiful place, white sand beaches, lots to do and see, great restaurants close by, wish we had more time here

We come back to this beach every year. It’s a wide huge beach. Clean and well kept. Sunsets are beautiful. Sand is white and soft. Rental of chairs and umbrellas readily available and reasonable. Water lacks the clarity and blue color of Caribbean. Just love this area.

The Beach very clean very beautiful. The water is very clear calm waves beautiful sea animals like manatees dolphins all different kind of fish. they have a gentleman named turbo that will take care of the umbrellas and chairs for you and set them up and beautiful awesome sunsets on the ocean ❤️❤️❤️

Great beach that goes on and on. Soft white sand and lots of room to spread out safely. Don't miss the drum circle on Sunday afternoon/early evening until sunset.

Okay I'm biased because my family has been meeting on this beach since 1959. Specifically we like the space in front of the Thunderbird where my grandfather once worked. Nothing special about that space and nothing all that special today about the Thunderbird but for a Florida beach visit it all works.
I like that we didn't have to lug our chairs and umbrella (we didn't even have such things in 1959 - we sat on blankets and burned!) but the cost of $40 for the day is pricey.
Water was great all week and so was the sun. Perfect place for a family gathering.

This is one of the cleanest beaches that I have visited. The sand is white and the water is clear. This area has quiet beaches that are family friendly. Clearwater which is not far away is a very busy area.

Beautiful, clean, plenty of space. Small-town feel, not over-crowded at all. Quickly becoming our favorite land-based vacation destination.

The beach is nice and clean. There are several bars and places to grab lunch or dinner. However, I would not pay the extra money (+$250) per night to stay on the beach. There is an awesome little hotel called Treasure Bay, which offers the same great gulf views, but for hundreds of dollars less. If money isn't an issue, then stay on the Treasure Island beach.

If you want a place to come and relax without crowds and noise then this is the beach for you. I fell in love with this beach. Clean and just so peaceful.

We stayed in a condo overlooking the beach. Great views, amazing sunsets. The beach was gorgeous and the water so clear. We will be returning for sure. We also loved the rental chairs and umbrellas for very low daily cost.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 6 day getaway at the Thunderbird Resort. Great beach, nice customer service. Cant wait to come back.

Very deep beach. Long walk to the condo. But nice white sand and a volleyball net. Could be cleaner and raked on occasion.

Right across the street from our condo. Good wide open space to throw football. They also had a huge inflatable water slide set up. Well kept.

Very clean people are very nice. Lot's to do in the area ! Great dining to I Recommend The Pearl fine dining VERY GOOD !!!!

There are so many dining options you can walk to from most hotels on the beach. Gigi's Italian was excellent.

Lots of room on the beach on a beautiful Saturday! I saw a good amount of public parking and there is a walking or biking trail. You can rent chairs and an umbrella from attendants right there and ready to go. Really enjoyed our time here.

Walking, bicycle ,or jog .Got to be one of the best areas, Close to everything. Five minutes away. Benches to sit .

Beautiful beach! Make sure to check MOTE or beachesupdates dotcom for red tide latest info, very helpful

Treasure Island Beach which includes Sunset Beach and the Sunset Beach Pavilion is an amazing location for a beach wedding from an elopement to a vow renewal to an intimate beach wedding, this beach has the perfect sunset, the beaches are clean, and the water is perfect. As a wedding planner in Florida, have arranged many beach weddings in this area including an all inclusive ceremony and reception right on the beach. While other other beaches are crowded, this beach can be more laid back than the bigger tourist beaches. There are cottages, hotels, and condos aligned throughout the area if accommodations are needed.

February 2021 visit and no crowds at all. Large beach area and seashells galore! Piles and piles of them! Quiet and nice area around too

The Island was beautiful..for the most part well maintained..We loved our evening strolls along the beach to end our day

KIds and grown ups galore!
kids love what kids do on sand and sea.
Wide sandy beach groomed daily.
Collect seashells while while walking barefoot!

It was beautiful. It got a little busy during the weekend, but during the week it was perfect. The sunsets were amazing. We cannot wait to come back again. Hopefully it will still be warm when we come back in October.

Nice beach and well sparse for covid. Shallow descent to deeper waters was nice. Nice running trail or biking.

Greatest views, nice to stroll on the promenade if you don't want to walk in the sand. Great place to chill out, walk, bike, run, enjoy the beauty! So beautiful!

The beach is still beautiful, the sunsets gorgeous. There is a lot of demolished homes on the beach and debris. They rake and clean the beach every morning. There are a lot of large and small shells galore for gathering!

Halfway between St. Pete Beach and Clearwater Beach is Treasure Island Beach. It’s a beautiful stretch of sand meets water. The beach is wide, the sand is white and soft, views in both directions, beautiful sunsets and chairs and umbrellas available for rent. We stayed at Marriott Residence Inn. There is a nice beachfront walkway that runs beachside of all the resorts which is lit at night. Plenty of places to eat and shop along the beach.

The beach is very long. Be prepared to walk a good distance to get to the water. The sand isn’t as fine as Clearwater but less crowded.

We stayed here for 3 nights out of our trip to Orlando. This beach was gorgeous. Very relaxing & also very clean. It wasn’t crowded which was great! We rented chairs off a guy called Turbo!! He was class!! So full of energy great banter! Reasonably priced and his wife and family were very friendly! Excellent beach for all ages!

It's a very nice and clean place to go with great beaches and eateres.I try to get there every year!

RED TIDE!!
Beach time is not really an option right now. Worst vacation we have ever had (7/16 - 7/24/2021). The smell will take your breath away. And there were dead fish everywhere. We drove 560 miles to sit by a pool and we have one at home. I wish we had trip insurance or had cancelled.

Just Beautiful, miles and miles of amazing sandy beaches. We walked to Caddys on the beach every morning for breakfast, perfect.

The beach was clean, had snack stand, rest rooms, and parking.
It also has a walking path about a mile long that was perfect for an afternoon walk and watching the sunset.

Treasure Island is a really nice surprise. There are no towering condos. Everything is low-profile. The beach is beautiful, clean, fine white sand. Great for a family vacation.

We always enjoy visiting Treasure Island beach. The sand is white and feels good under your feet. The waves and water are always great.

Lovely white sands and clear blue waters make this a great location. Plenty of old style charm in the area, with plenty of hotels, restaurants and bars. Natural enough but with the facilities you need, great for families.

We enjoy the beautiful beach and walking along it every day we visit. This beach also has a paved path closer to hotels which is also really nice to walk. Every time we have come to stay for a week, we have seen dolphins. We keep coming back.

Gorgeous huge beach...white sand...so clean...absolutely beautiful! Enjoy walking on the beach walk or directly on the beach - a must-visit for beach lovers!

This is a beautiful beach and great water on the gulf. Dolphins swimming around make for some fun time to watch as well.

June is a hot time to visit Florida. That is why we picked the Thunderbird resort. It is on the beach and has 2 convenient swimming pools.

Excellent beach. Huge, so even when it’s a busy weekend, the beach never feels crowded. City staff do a great job maintaining the beach so it’s always clean

very beautiful beach, nice and clean. Had a chance to see their sandcastle exhibits. nice wide trails for walking, riding bikes ect. nice playground for the kids along the trail

Going to the beach is always on the list. We took it a step farther this trip and hired Sanding Ovations to give us private sand sculpting lessons! It was so much fun! Meredith & Dan are incredible teachers. For first timers we were very pleased with what we had accomplished, Castles and Dolphins!

The beach is beautiful and the parking is plentiful and cheap. It was one of our trip highlights and that’s hard to say given all of the good things we experienced.

Treasure Island Beach has a nice walkway that brings you in front of all the hotels, and the beach on the other side. The beach is a good beach for walking or swimming. Every Sunday they have a drum circle how many attend.

Great beach for walking along shoreline. The beach is very clean and not crowded. My wife and I were on the beach everyday while we stayed at South Beach Condo for three weeks.

This is a clean beach with white soft sand. The water is clear and many times you can find shells after the tide changes. One of my favorite beaches as not usually crowded.

Great time in Thunderbird Resort. Loved Johns Pass and the beach is fabulous there. Really loved the paved boardwalk too.

Let me preface this by saying we are not big beach goers. However, we enjoyed our visit immensely. The beach was clean, well equipped and filled with pleasant people enjoying their day. There were volleyball courts, and a bag toss game close to the pavillion. There were miscellaneous beach items for sale at reasonable prices. The Women's shower room was clean and large. Chair/umbrella rentals seemed to be available on the beach itself. Also, there was a place to rinse off outside near the pavillion. I was surprised to not notice lifeguard stands. I'm not sure if that is typical. Also, there was a very inexpensive parking lot right by the pavillion with a maximum fee of $6.00 if you are lucky enough to find a spot.

Great for a nice walk at any time of the day. Love the area.we rent bikes and and the rides were great.

We escaped two feet of snow for three days of sun! TI Beach was clean. The shade and chairs weren't too expensive. The sand at the water is crushed sea shells, so walking on it can be tough in places. It's a couple hundred yards back to the hotels/bars/restaurants and there aren't any "on the beach" facilities. Not too crowded, however, and this was Spring Break time.

It's exactly what the title says: Treasure Island...it's a treasure. So easy to get to,
we stayed this time at the South Beach condo/hotel and it's right on the beach.
Lots of places to stay as well as parking for a public beach spot. Clean and paths easy to use. A boardwalk along the hotel properties that people walk , run and bike.
The shake shop is at one end of the boardwalk so stop in there...Lots to fill your time in St. John's pass or in St. Petersburg, or Pass-a Grille. The beach is were we like to walk
every day and so we enjoy that. We meet lots of people who say hi and we think that's great. Enjoy!

This beach is so clean and wide. Not over crowded. Love the concrete boardwalk, just right amount of commercialism as well.

It was Veteran's Day kite festival. Beautiful kites, even lighted ones. The boardwalk is great you can sit when tired and then continue on

Treasure Island Beach is very nice. I love the sandbars where I can walk with our smaller children. The water was warm (in early March) and the beach was wonderful. The only downfall to the beach is the long walk from the road to the water.

What a great trip. Excellent customer service. Friendly. Very clean. Modern. Super housekeepers, Callie was wonderful. The beach was great, nice little Tiki hut for drinks in the evening. Outdoor games to play. Restaurants you could walk to. Close to John's Pass.
Our family had a wonderful vacation there.

Clean, wide and nice family atmosphere. They came everyday to clear the seaweed and clutter that washed ashore every night. Family friendly along with activities for all.

Treasure Island beach is wide and long. The city grooms the beach every day and keep it clean. The water and sand there is amazing. Love the beach.

Visited 2 days in a row, once with friends and once alone. Felt very comfortable both times. I parked in the public lot across from Publix. Paid about $10 for 5 hours. Cabana and umbrella rentals all along the beach. I rented a cabana w/2 long chairs for $25. A must have because it was 97+ both days.
This location has a huge water slide and bouncy thingy. Beach was not crowded at all. Sand has lots of shells, very little seaweed. Water was blue and clear. We really enjoyed our time here.

Nice deep beach with soft white sand and great shells. Surf suitable for swimming. Pedestrian access to Gulf Blvd if you are not staying at property on beach.

Parking is tough and expensive Peak season, but the beach is nice and the shoreline is relatively flat.

It's never crowded like PCB. The water is clear and great for snorkeling. I often find lots of neat, whole shells and see lots of fish swimming around me in the water. I even had a Manatee swim within 2 feet of me in this trip. The wild life is just amazing out here!

Very wide beach. Lots of room to relax. Waves are small....
A bit cold water temp, but that is expected for early March. No idea how crowded next 3 weeks will be with Spring Break kids.
Great paved walkway off the beach for bikes & walking.

First time I have seen a sunscreen dispenser on the path to the Beach:) Was able to get out of the wind. A kite competition was being held the day we were there. Great entertainment. Clean beach.

Been on many gulf beaches but treasure island is one of the better ones. No big crowds, clean, and has a really cool “boardwalk “. Also one of the few beaches that you are allowed to drink.

We knew the view would be amazing but so is the hotel and the people who run it.
It certainly isn’t the most modern looking, but it is spotless and has everything for a relaxing beach holiday.
The staff are constantly cleaning and repairing, always willing to help and are great for advice on the area.
The bedding is spotless, pillows and mattresses comfortable and the rooms are a good size. The kitchen has everything you need and pool towels are provided.
We will definitely be back!

This beach has it all...beautiful, clean, ease of beach chair and umbrella rental, and bathrooms. Also there is a wonderful snack bar and beach accessories and very pleasant staff. The water is clear. We throughly enjoyed it.

Be careful; a woman at our hotel said she got stung by a stingray....shuffle your feet as you walk in ocean.

Great resort on the beach in Treasure Island. Very welcoming from the friendly staff and clean rooms. Everyone here is extremely helpful and attentive to all our needs
The staff recommended Family Sunset Photos to take some professional pictures of our feisty group of nine including a 5 & 3 year old. Danial was our photographer and he handled our group with a professional skill set and with a calm demeanor.
Our photos were great and were processed completely within a half hour. Thanks Daniel!
Yoga classes are offered by the hotel on the beach in front of the Thunderbird. Jillian Dzieciol was our professional instructor and held a nice session. Thanks Jillian!
The Thunderbird has a great staff that handles a lively atmosphere with the most fantastic pool and surroundings in T. I.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not many spring breaker college kids. Mostly couples/families. Can enjoy a drink on this beach. Very clean. Go shelling early in the morning and enjoy the sunset in the evening!

Repeat visitor. Clean beach. Great vacation. Much to do nearby. Would recommend for families and or couples.

We're lucky to live in north central Florida so can and do visit Treasure Island frequently. It's the best blood pressure medication I've ever taken.

Clear water , peaceful waves and soft white sand!! Not too crowded!! Our favorite place!!Looking for Sea Shells and riding the waves..suggest wearing water shoes..watch out for stingrays!!

Treasure Island is one of my favorite vacation spots. I love the laid back ocean vibe. Great seafood, friendly people, and endless sunsets. Enjoy a long walk on the beach at sunrise or your favorite cocktail on the beach at sunset. There is something for everyone.

Beautiful sandy beach, not crowded, plenty of parking. Many fine eating options available, laid back fun Key West vibe to the area.

In 2018, we visited Clearwater beach and it was beautiful, but a bit busier than we like when traveling with our children. Treasure Island was an excellent alternative - the beach was beautiful, well-kept, and quiet. At no point did we feel like it was anywhere near crowded.

Had access to the beach from our condo. The sounds of the gulf waves are relaxing. The sunsets are also colorful. The beach seems to be maintained well. Sand is soft and not hot at all. Would love to come back again.

This is one of our favorite beaches to go to. It has beautiful calm, clear blue water. The water is a perfect temperature and you can walk right in as if you were getting into a nice bath.

This is a great beach to visit - public parking lots are $5 a day - the only drawback is the LONG - and I mean long walk out to beach - but once there it's worth it. It was quite large with lots of room. I really liked the paved walkways that go down the beach - it's a great walk in the evening and a fantastic place to watch the Sunset. The water wasn't quite as clear as other beaches we visited - Fort Desoto and Coquina - but it was near our hotel and all in all a great beach!

This is a wonderful beach, just a somewhat long walk to the water, but worth it! It has a nice walkway behind the hotels you can stroll if sand isn’t your thing. They have a great sand sculpture contest at the end of November and it’s fun to watch the artists do their thing with the sand.

Beach was cold and waves. No calm water Can’t control what Mother Nature throws your way. Maybe next time better weather.

Was able to swim in the brisk ocean. Also nice beach to walk and sit by the shore very relaxing. We stayed within walking distance to the beach, beautiful view from our balcony too.

Beautiful clean white sand beach. Perfect for families. Calm water. Relaxing. Not too crowded. We were in the area where spring breakers did not fancy.

Incredibly large beach. Great for activities or just stretching out. Nice sand and great place for shells and sand dollars.

Spent 5 days at this lovely location and cannot wait for a return trip - very likely later this year!

The beach looked beautiful from the parking lot, but I had my dog with me and she was not welcome on the beach or the boardwalk. I do understand this is for ecological reasons (and some dog owners are idiots) but I can't give much more information as I didn't really experience the beach.

This beach is beautiful. White sand, very fine. Not a lot of shells to step on, but enough for shell hunters. It was fun watching the little clams dig into the sand after a wave. The sunsets are magical.

Besides be clean I liked the fact that buildings are kept away from the beach. There's a wide stretch of natural beach and dune vegetation unobstructed by construction. This means, however, that one has to walk a few hundred feet to get to the beach. Along the beach, closer to the hotels, condo's etc. runs a paved walking/biking path/walkway. This is a great alternative to the sidewalk along Gulf blvd. This sidewalk is mostly slanted and thus a pain to walk because of the many driveways.

Family beach. Clean and safe. Water is warm and clean enough to go swimming. Soft sand. Friendly people.

Well, all the other reviews are from visits before vacation time. Starting in July and especially August, and even more so on weekends, the beach is crowded and incredibly loud! Too many people, all in their big tents (yes, they build real big tents now with doors and floors instead of feeling the sand), loud music from every side from sometimes unattended boom boxes. Lots of trash from the bars on the beach, mostly plastic cups and all kinds of plastic parts.
It used to be a place for family and full with kids playing and building sand castles, now they are the minority. Now there is mostly gay couples (men) who try to impress each other and behave like aggressive peacocks, wearing too tight and too small bathing gear. Not appropriate for a family beach, honestly. (don't get me wrong, some of my best friends are gay, and they find the behaviour strange on that beach!).

Very nice resort In a great location right on the beach close to everything without driving market across the street cleanest resort around nice and small only 18 units and great people running it

In my lifetime, I have been to Treasure Island many times. I love the wide beach, the quaint beach town atmosphere, the walkways, the accessibility to other islands and beaches and amenities along the coast. I will return again and again for as long as I can.

While staying in St Pete and looked up 'closest beach to me' which was this one here. So glad I made the trip out. Parking wasn't too expensive in the public areas, beaches were absolutely beautiful and not too crowded. Got to love those gulf views...

Beach was beautiful and clean. Not crowded. Cabana and kayak rentals were reasonably priced. Beautiful sunsets.

The beach was empty, we did not come here during spring break. Beautiful beach with a walking path. Clean.

Terrible place! Pool down, toilet broke, blinds broke, hanging wires in bathroom, balcony door not locking......
Manager would not give us credit back. We contacted Hotels.com they did everything to rectify it but the hotel did not. Will never recommend nor go there again.

Great place to enjoy the gulf. Very clean and safe. Also meet many people from “up Nort”: Wisconsin, UP, Canada
We stayed at “mom and pop” original area motel and it was perfect! Many places to eat in walking distance. Also have trolley that services the boulevard

My daughter & I have stayed at the Bilmar 2-3 times a year for the last 3 years because it is truly our happy place. We look forward to it all winter & even though we only live an hour away we could never imagine staying anywhere else. The staff, accommodations, pools, Sloppy Joe's great food....this resort has it all. I've left reviews before about how wonderful our stays are but our last one a couple weeks ago meant the most to us. The Bilmar provided a safe, clean environment with low capacity & plenty of take-out options for great food from Sloppy Joe's as well as other restaurants within walking distance. My daughter & I were able to spend some much needed relaxing time together while figuring out what our new reality was going to be with my job & her schooling. I never had to doubt the hotel's tenacity at following all social distancing or sanitizing protocols. I know that the 2 nights we were there put us in a much better state of mind & reminded us how important it is to look out for and be kind to one another. I truly hope we are able to be back at the Bilmar at the first of June as that is our tradition.

It’s a fabulous beach with plenty of room. The sea breeze is a welcome relief from the heat of the town and accommodation. The sea is amazing, you can just float and relax. The best time at the beach though is 7am. It’s empty and beautiful for an early morning walk. Sunsets are beautiful too.

Only visited the beach once during our 6 day stay. We were there mid morning and were surprised to see so many piles of smaller shells, but understand the area had some pretty good wind recently. Those interested in finding shells would love it! Take something to carry them in,

My family loves Treasure Island Beach’s! Short walk from several Resorts / Hotels. The City of Treasure Island does a great job keeping the beach clean and the sand graded. John’s Pass Boardwalk is nearby and a must to visit and enjoy!
This area is all part of Living the American 🇺🇸Dream.

Clean golden sandy beach and, clean warm sea. Fairly peaceful and quiet. Great for couples and families.

This is a nice and uncrowded beach, perfect for a stroll along a bit of the Gulf Coast. On a midweek afternoon there was plenty of cheap parking in the main lot across from the Waffle House.

Enjoyed a quick weekend in from cold NYC to see family. Beach was amazing both days, clean and clear water. low waves, good for small children. temp was comfortable as air was 86 degrees. Sand was nice, a short walk from our hotel

The beach is ok. Some shelling. I was a little disappointed coming from beaches south of here. The beach isn’t quite as clean and pristine as the ones I’ve been to earlier in the week. There are cigar butts and cigarette butts around, a little bit of trash so I was disappointed. There is a lot of traffic, no parking. Choose your hotel carefully or you will be paying $10 a day for parking.

We love Treasure Island. The area is fantastic for everything: the beaches, (super clean, gorgeous sand and water) plenty of restaurants, shops, the trolley is absolutely fantastic! Plenty of parking but we love the trolley, can ride for $5 all day, takes you all over! And it is air conditioned which is fantastic. Love the Candy Kitchen, all different types of candy, a lot of old fashioned types you don't see anymore at all. It is a great area to visit, close to everything, airports, Tampa, St. Pete, etc.

Was nice and quiet compared to Clearwater Beach. Not as many people, more so for people who want to relax and enjoy the sun. Not as much tourism. Beautiful beach as well‼️

No better beach than this- I love that it's a little bit of a walk out to the water- it's just because it's so large! It's a huge beach with tons of great stuff to do.

What’s not to LOVE! Super fine, white sand, salty ocean air, warm gulf water and people to watch all day.

Lots of white sand, seashells, cabanas, seabirds. Not crowded at all. Wonderful beach for families,.

Good parking with bathrooms. Wide, wide beach and fine sand at the waters edge. Beautiful sunsets and very, very relaxing.

We find ourselves at Treasure Island Beach every few years in Jan or Feb for the kite festivals. It is a wide beach with plenty of room. Parking can be a problem if you're not staying right on the beach and it can get expensive with the metered parking lots. But there is plenty to do with a nice winding sidewalk and nearby restaurants.

The Treasure Island Beach is beautiful, with fine white sand and blue water. You can walk out 200 feet in the water and its still only waist deep. Enjoyed all of it.

We stayed in a hotel on the beach. The weather didn't help much, maybe that's why the beach wasn't as nice as I expected, the sand seemed compacted and shell-like.
Of course, the sunsets are dreamlike.

First time here. Water was clear and beach was clean. Sand was soft like powder. Beach appeared to be well maintained. Sunset 🌅 is amazing.

The views are beautiful so much activities on the beach. Water slides restaurants stay at hotel walking distance from the beach parking is expensive and hard or go mid week May be better but not sure They also had drum playing and dancing
Nice beach
Second time at Treasure Island beach. The beach was nice and clean and it wasn't crowded. The water was absolutely amazing!
