We had to do this twice to be able to see everything because of the fog - but once it cleared it was a great view.

The views from one of the highest points in the city are splendid. But be careful about leaving things in your car as the car park area is notorious for car break-ins. Certainly don't leave anything in plain sight.

It’s really great see whole city of San Francisco!
You can take bus to get there! But maybe it’s tough for the elderly to reach the top.

Our tour bus stopped at Twin Peaks. Great way to get some overall perspective of the size and scope of San Francisco. Our tour guide was able to point out areas that my mom asked about.

Drive or walk up road to get an amazing view of Dan Francisco. It’s about a .5 mile one way. Parking spots at top and public bathrooms.

Twin Peaks are the tourist attractions spot and situated in the western part of the city San Francisco. Two peaks are adjacent to each other. One can view the entire San Francisco city from the top of peak. Few steps are to be climbed to reach the top.

My first visit to SF and I was very excited to see all the attractions. We stayed in a lovely Airbnb in Twin Peaks. It was a safe and quiet place, easy to get to and from. Unfortunately, the view was not really available due to the fog. There was one morning where we could actually see where we were and it was fabulous. But then the fog rolled in again. I guess this is San Francisco in the summertime. I'll have to try again!

Talk a tour to this site as parking is limited. Nice views of San Francisco and there are some hiking areas.

This is a great place to take pictures of the city skylight. Weather it's pictures of a beautiful sunny day or a day of fog. Always keep an eye on your surroundings and never try to take pictures where it it unsafe. Obey all boundries. Never step over a rail to take pictures.

One of our Uber driver’s told us to go to Twin Peaks! It has amazing views of the city! Very curvy road to the top but very worth it. Once there you can stand at the base of take stairs up 2 hills. Very breath taking views!

Getting up to Twin Peaks is worth it, well on a good day! It gets foggy in SF and there may be a chance the city is dogged over for photos! I usually go mid day when my photographer friends wanna capture some dope shots!

The Twin Peaks location is worth to drive as you will find an amazing view to San Francisco. On good weather conditions, best point to see the whole range of the town. Take a jacket with you as it's mostly windy on the top.

I’m a local! What does that really mean? Well....it means all my out-of-town friends and fam rely on my to give them a tour of San Francisco! Happy to do it! In this day and age of Insta-craziness, I tend to take people to the better photo-op locations. Twin Peaks is up there! You can get great panoramic shots during the day barring major fog and it’s by far the best night time shot in the city....barring fog! You can drive up yourself, park and shoot some pics and it’s all FREE! Can’t get better than that in the most expensive city in America. WARNING: SF is a property crime haven! Do NOT NOT NOT leave anything valuable in your car. It will 100% get broken into. Leave all valuables at your hotel!

Worth the drive or if you are lucky and took SFTours is included. Great views of the bay. In a clear day you see the Golden Gate Bridge and more.

Another free attraction that you can’t afford to miss, if your in the city your pretty much already there. You can see clear across the bay to Oakland and Berkeley .

Guess what? You can go up to Twin Peaks using public transport. We did! We took the Muni 37 and walked up the rather steep but picturesque wooden steps till we reached the road leading up to the Twin Peaks.themselves. We then walked up the Twin Peaks and yes, it was definitely worth the effort. We got amazing views of the City of San Francisco far below us. The weather was kind to us. It was a sunny morning and that helped!

This is a place I take my friends and family when they come to town! On a clear day you can see the Golden Gate Bridge, Oakland, the financial district downtown, and you can see all of Market St. all the way down to the Embarcadero!! Really nice at night as well with all the lights in the city! A definite must see on your trip here or even if you live here!!

We could not believe the beautiful vista we saw from this hillside site. We got beautiful photo's of a beautiful cityscape. [Beware, while enjoying the spectacular views my friend wallet was pick pocketed right out of her purse. Enjoy the view, but be aware of your surroundings. There were tour bus loads of visitors and I guess the crowds made the criminal very comfortable.]

Pretty good area to see the city day and night. Highest peak on San Francisco city. Parking spaces are limited. It’s free to visit. Dog friendly. A good place for the family. The street art is also pretty interesting. See images and videos for further information.

Took the car up to twin peaks to sample the view of SF. Amazing. If you have access to a car, or someone will take you, do it! I was blown away, it is vast. Do it to realise the expanse of property and population in SF. Brilliant photo ops too.

A great place to get an overall view and geographic eye on the city..Well worth the trip up...parking was at a premium although high turnover of people coming and going not to long to wat for a parking spot.

Not conivinent to get to if you don't have a car. very cold and windy, can't stay there for long, I was there for about 15 minutes just cause I needed to wait for another ride. There's a view of the city but it's not worth the effort nor the time. Overrated in my opinion, you can spend the time better walking around the city.

Twin Peaks was a great stop during my visit in SF. Luckily I was there on a clear and sunny day, so I was able to see the skyline, Alcatraz, and the Golden Gate Bridge. There are trails up the peaks, but also a viewing area by the parking lot. Both have beautiful views. It is very touristy, but well worth the Uber there and back.

Though the views from Twin Peaks on a clear day can be stunning, it is definitely not worth the trek on a rainy day. We headed up there for sunset on a rainy summer's evening and only got a view full of mist.

Went to Coit tower and that was great but take an Uber to Twin Peaks.....the views are the best in San Francisco. Take a jacket because it is quite windy and gets cold even on a warm sunny day.

If you have limited time to see SF and take in all of its beauty, Twin Peaks is the best place to go! Look around, hike, have a little picnic, breathe in all of SF's beauty at this one stop! All pics turn out wonderful in any angle...amazing!

This is a great place to see the city, but late August through October there is lots of fog, so the view is not so great. Some days the fog burns off by late afternoon, but there is no guarantee.

Had family car. So didn't need a Uber . The view was worth it. If in town for a few days, should experience the different view of the city . But not if only have two days . Better stuff available

The best way there is to take the bus and only walk the last few steps. Be patient because it can be foggy but after a while we were lucky because it cleared up and we had a awesome view over the city.

Stopped here during our tour of the city and so glad we did. You get to see so much of the city and a better understanding of the geography and neighborhoods

This was the PERFECT spot for a great city view! There are a couple of parking areas and two automatic toilets at the top.

Fantastic views.. were delivered here as part of our SF Adventures tour.. enabled us to put the areas we had seem into perspective

Fantastic view - if you do not get blocked by the fog.... We visited as a part of a guided tour, great stop.

came there with a friend. nice place to see main spots in the city, orient yourself. all the town is like on a palm.

On sunny days, go up there, it´s one of the best places, even the best, to see, all bay are os San Francisco. It´s a great place to watch to sunset by the end of the day.

Contrary to most descriptions, the ascent to the peaks is not always possible. The last part has to be walked. The view is fantastic both during the day and at night.

Best View of San Francisco Downtown & Sunset is Amazing. We had been traveling all day just happened to be in the area and saw sighs for Twin Peaks, we enjoyed you wouldn’t believe. The best place to capture the Downtown San Francisco and the Sunset is something you can’t miss.

Fantastic views of San Francisco. Nice place to hike. Public bathroom facilities are available and clean.

Drive (or walk) up to the observation area on the Twin Peaks overlooking the neighborhood below and off into the distance downtown and the boats in the bay. The panorama is breathtaking especially if the fog behaves. Free. An easy 20 minutes from downtown San Francisco.

a pitty no public transport take you up there, but with uber you can easily get there and enjoy the windy views!

Twin Peaks has always been one of my favorite places to go in the City. When I was young it was a dirt road that only the teenagers would go up there and hang out and do whatever. That was before it was a tourist destination. It was a cool place to be because it is one of the highest places in the City. From there you had a beautiful 360 degree view of the City. No matter when you go it's a great view when there is no fog.

This is a must-visit! Arguably, the best views of the San Francisco area when the weather cooperates!

I love riding my bike up Twin Peaks. It's especially nice because going home is all downhill 😃. Great views when it's not foggy. Can be a bit iffy at night so be careful. Also, keep an eye on your car if you drive since there are a lot of car break-ins and thefts of cameras, luggage, etc.

Check out during day and night time. Definitely preferred the night time. Nice to see the lights comes out of SF!!

You should drive up Twin Peaks and and not only go a few meters to the viewpoint, but also take the steps to the top of the hill. The 360 degrees view is stunning.
Please be aware that it us quite windy and a bit colder up there. Dress accordingly.

- The two peaks are in a Glen Park Canyon park, southern-ish edge of the city
- Views -downtown skyline, the western edge of SF and Golden Gate Park.
- Parking- at the top lot or street parking- Crestline Drive and a small parking lot located near the Christmas Tree Viewing Area.
- At night, cool place to see the city lit up. We did that! Parked at top!
- Don’t go when foggy!
- During the day, Hike the 0.7 mile trails with a mix of mountain & city while climbing stairs!

Try and get up here when in SF. Get ti the top by car, park up and get out to see the views. Make sure it's a blue sky day otherwise you will just see mist and fog and it will be very damp. When the sky is blue the views are brilliant and you can see SF bay down towards the city with its landmarks eg the market place and across to the Pacific ocean. It can be a bit windy up there so make sure you wrap up.

There is no better view of the San Francisco Bay area than from twin peaks. it's free, it's easy, you will freeze your butt off, but you won't regret it. Follow the GPS to the top. It can be a little confusing otherwise. I recommend you read up on the geology of the place.

Excellent view of the city our tour guide Dylan's tour bought us here and we stopped for some great photos opportunities

Provides a view of the whole city without a outline trek. Well worth the drive up to take in the scenery.

Driving up to Twin Peaks is amazing and the drive back down the hill as well. It was a steep climb so take it slow up the winding roads. The sign says it’s open until 12 midnight which I find interesting because I’m sure it gets pitch black up the road. There is a yellow gate at the entrance. Not sure if they close it after hours or not. Once at the top you can walk up some steps (30-50 or so) until you reach the top. The views are amazing. It’s a bit crowded so hard to capture photos without tons of tourists in them. It’s probably less crowded during the week but we went on s Sunday. This is a free spot to view the city so would pay for any tour company that offers this.

Take the short winding drive up the hill. You won’t regret it (unless it’s a cloudy day, of course).bring a windbreaker, as its breezy and chilly at the top. Parking can be dicey.

I can 'imagine' the amazing views, we went up 2 days in a row and there was mist on each day so visibility was 10 feet, would be nice on a clear day though

Twin Peaks still feels like a bit of a hidden gem to me. Sure, there are hundreds of tourists there on any given weekend, but it's still jaw-dropping and it's not too crowded at all. The views are stunning.

The view of SF is spectacular from the top. Even more impressive at NIGHT! Parking can be a little dicey, but just be patient and a spot will open up soon. The walkway gives you a wide panorama of nearly the entire expanse of San Francisco, including the Golden Gate bridge lit up in the distance.

Great view of San Francisco - make sure you go there on a clear day! a must visit spot for your vist to SF

One drives up Market Street to the lookout point for the splendid views of downtown and the central part of San Francisco. But beware that thieves work the parking lot, so don't leave anything in your car. I have escorted many visitors to this lovely spot.

Wow the views from up here are just something else! Although the sun was out it was super windy up here! We mannaged to take some great photos though and found it wasnt to busy. There are a few bus's that run locally so isant to much of walk.

Cool place to see the city from and it's free! Highest point in the city with a couple short trails to the peaks. Tight for parking depending on the time of day. Pick a clear day.

Took the Muni transport to nearest station, then walked 15-20 minutes upwards to the peaks. Well worth the climb up the steeper bits. Stunning views of SF and the Bay Area, Views of GOlden Gate in the distance, if you get the chance don’t miss it

It is worth the trip. The views of the city are amazing. Grab some picnic essentials, take Muni Bus 37 and you will get to the top.

This is the place to go to get a birds eye view of the whole city and bay. You can get a 180 degree view of the city, the bay and surrounding areas around San Francisco. A good view during the day or night.

A short drive from downtown San Fran, Twin Peaks offered amazing panoramic views of the city and ocean. Decent amount of parking available at the top. There's a couple hiking and running paths as well.

We stopped here as part of Dylans tour. Wow!!! Amazing views of the whole city and the bridge wasn't hidden by fog. There's also a few toilets

Definitely worth the drive, the top of Twin Peaks offers up a spectacular, panoramic view of San Francisco, the Bay and surrounding cities.

Great views! You can’t really get any better in the city.
We got a bus and walked to the top, took about 20 mins to get to the top.
Also not to far from Castro which is an interesting area to visit. Would recommend.
Would advise to bring water etc, no fountains at the top or anything

Ended up here on a Monday afternoon. Such an incredible view. We loved how much your could see. Available short hikes to the peaks from the parking lot. Needs more bathrooms. Very windy on top. I highly recommend

Went twice during our stay. The first time it was so foggy you couldn't see fifty feet. The next time, it was beautiful! Great views!

If your plans don't cover this stop then change your plans. We had a fantastic sunny bright day on a small tour so the views and ease of getting there were fantastic.

For us this is where we met SF for a first time this time. This point gives you overview of the city and the Bay Area.
You have basically 360 degree view of everything happening here. Perfect spot to start a journey into San Francisco’s streets.

Well worth the hike! Use public transport to get near the hills, than hike. Views of downtown San Francisco and Golden gate bridge.

You can walk up here, although I would recommend a drive and enjoy some stunning views of San Francisco. The area is free from buildings thanks to an endangered butterfly apparently!

Took a tour up here with Painted Ladies Tour. Great views of the entire city and bay. Just beautiful.

A must if you want a mind blowing view of San Francisco. This was our second time here and we loved and enjoyed it just like the first time. It’s very windy and cold up there so make sure to layer up. We went on a Thursday around noon and it was perfect, not too many people and parking wasn’t a hassle. I would recommend doing this drive or hike on your first day since it’s outside SF’s main attractions and if you don’t go it first you might run out of time.

Worth snaking your way up the Twin Peaks for an overview of the city and bay. Windy and lots of folks taking in the sights, but plenty of places to park, sit, and just enjoy the scenery.

Lucked out and got a clear morning. Was not overly crowded around 9am. Great views of the city and all the iconic landmarks.

I was lucky enough to finally be able to see the view in such clear day! Went here once and it was so foggy and nothing else to see. The view in a sunny clear day is amazing! Worth to see in your day trip around SF.

If you have a bit of time to spare a trip up to Twin Peaks is really worth a visit. Drive up to the top viewing area for fantastic views, if it is clear, of the whole of San Francisco, great photo opportunity!

The views are great but SFO authorities don’t take of the place. Irons like the one in the picture that caused an accident to my daughter. She almost loses her teeth.

Not only by the name of the Movie from David Lynch in 80s,i was courious about this name,i only get it the they i arrive to the top.Crossing Pacific heights wich is a expensive neighborhood then after curves arrive to this awesomew, and fantastic view from San francisco bay area. You can see from the top all, included the san francisco city divides by Market street, one of the orincipals streets, the wind is strong but is the day is cloudy try to get a windy jacket an maybe umbrella,in SFCO you will never know whe the rain comes. TWIN PEAKS Fantastic stop.

Took a ride to Twin Peaks and unfortunately for the majority of time we were there, the fog was rolling in so we couldn't get a great view of the skyline and city. it was very windy and cold the day we went. I was told that going to the top of the Twin Peaks on a clear day, affords one spectacular views of San Francisco.

We were so lucky, on our last day in SF we got to go to Twin Peaks and the weather was perfect! No fog just clear skies and beautiful views of the entire city. It’s FREE, no need to pay for a tour. Just drive up there and enjoy the lovely views!

The view is great and worth going on clear days. But you can't easily get there by bus. You have to go through highly recommended areas.

This is a place that you will get the best view from San Francisco. It is also a good place to read a book or think about life.

Spectacular views of the San Francisco skyline. It is definitely better to go later in the day to give the fog a chance to burn off. Even a night visit is beautiful to see the lights.

Great spot to have panoramic view of San Francisco. When in SF, you just come here for to have a good panoramic view of the city. Easy drive and there are plenty of parking but have to bring your valuables with you as there many car thief in this area. Also should bring warm cloth as the peak is very windy.

We were lucky enough to have two friends take us to the top of Twin Peaks. The view is stunning! Wide, sweeping panoramas of the entire downtown area, as well as of the bay. Easy to see the landmarks and to get bearings of where things are, compared with other attractions, from up here. And the fog - it was awesome seeing it roll in and out. Highly recommended!

The views from Twin Peaks were unbelievable. Perfect view of the entire city and pier. Would recommend to stop here if in the city

The hike to the top is not for everyone. If you are able to walk up then this is a must do in San Francisco. The views are fantastic.

We went to the twin peaks whilst on the painted ladies city tour and stopped there for a photo opportunity. It has to be said that the views there are spectacular you can see for miles and miles it's just amazing. It was a beautiful clear day when we went which obviously helps and we loved it, it's a must if your staying in San Francisco.

Take the winding drive, and park on the side of the road if its crowded. Also, take a light jacket if you're not going early or mid-afternoon. Gets windy. But anyway, you can get an entire view of the bay from up here, and it is majestic. If you're already in San Francisco, getting there doesn't take long at all. Once you get to the lot, there are stairs on each peak that make it easier to get to the very top. I wouldn't advise elderly persons to try to hike to the top, unless you're in very good shape. Plenty of views and photo ops are present all around the site.

If you want to see what San Francisco looks like this is a great spot. Great views of the city and if you walk to the far end of the parking lot you can see the Pacific Ocean as well. As always in SF - do not leave any valuables in the car

Was on a bus tour and was one of the stops. The highest ground of the area. Wonderful views of the city. Great place to take pics.

Even on a “rainy” weekend, the views were still worth it. We climbed up one of the peaks - it has stairs which does help. I can imagine during summer or high tourist times it would be nearly impossible to park.

A must visit on a good weather day. Great views of the whole city and Pacific. Can drive up, then easy walk up to either or both peaks.

Amazing place to see all the city. It's so windy but the effort is valid. Not a place to spend long time but is great to visit.

In this viewpoint you can enjoy amazing views of the city and the bay. Here you have plenty of photo opportunities. Free parking but be aware there may be thieves lurking. No problem when we went but always be on the lookout (no pun intended).

It is worth the drive up to Twin Peaks - a great view of the city and surrounding area awaits you there.

We drove to Twin Peaks on the foggy day. We saw San Francisco partially. It was also windy. The views are beautiful in the fog. The parking is difficult to find.

Whilst in San Francisco to celebrate or 20th anniversary me and my partner decided to go up to Twin Peaks to take in the views. We took a bus up as far as we could then went on foot to get to the top. The views are amazing, you can see all across San Francisco and we took some nice photos. There is also The Pink Triangle representing LBGTQ+ (which can be seen from way below) which is placed up here. It can get windy and feel a bit chilly so if you feel the cold take a jacket, well worth a visit. We then walked back down into town from walking through some nice areas. Visited June 2024.

Our Love Tour guide Nick brought us here. What a view of the city! We were lucky to have a clear view...Karl the Fog cooperated that particular day. We were lucky, we were the only ones there that morning so taking pictures was not a hassle. If you really want to see a great view of San Fran, Twin Peaks will not disappoint. Yes it is windy but you can handle it!

Great 180 degree view of the SF skyline. The drive to the top is interesting too! We saw a kid skateboard down the steep, curvy road sans helmet!

SFO weather can be very tricky as its the bay area. One miunte the sky is clear and the other minute it's all foggy. Great views if you happen to go on a clear day.

Twin Peaks is a great place with great views, but even more than that. Enjoy hiking around, visit the free Randall Museum, wander around the neighborhood and check out really interesting and eclectic houses. It's a wonderful way to spend some time in a non-commercial part of San Francisco, so you can just enjoy the city and its environment without getting tangled up in capitalism.

Got to see this as part of a tour. Didn't know such a scenic view existed in San Fran. Very windy up there and the fog tried to block the view, but still plenty to see.

We did this as part of the GoCar tour. We went up the windy roads and noticed a real drop in temperature. On reaching the top we were not disappointed by the views. They were simply breathtaking.
Whatever your access to transport/tours, try to include this on your travels..... highly recommended.

There are lots of 'views' but this was a real find for me. This was my third trip to SF. This was recommended and I finally made it. It is a bit of haul to get there but it really is worth the effort.

We visited on a clear day and the view of the city was remarkable. A must-see if the visibility is good.

This is a must visit. Weather was just perfect and the view itself even better .. Go and see yourself.

If you want to see over most of San Francisco then this is a great spot.
Just look out for the fog. If you cannot see the mast at the top from below then you will see very little.

We visited via a specially chartered bus tour for a conference. The weather was slightly foggy but it was a good chance to see the various neighborhoods and landmarks of San Francisco. Worth the trip.

No doubt the best viewing point for setting the entire city. Worth a trip up there, I will caution that it's cold and really windy, so button up and have a great time.

The fog rolls in and out while viewing the city skyline. We were driven up to the top of the hill on our private tour with Painted Ladies Tour Company. Great tour stop!

It's a very short drive up and there's a small parking lot at the top. Amazing views of downtown San Francisco. A lot of people are there taking photos. Since people are only there for 20-30 mins, you can usually find a parking spot. Definitely worth the drive up.

From the 900-foot peaks, you can see the entire city sprawl out before you, along with the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay. Great spot for sunrise or sunset photos.
- Parking can be crowded, especially during peak hours.
- Be prepared for the wind, wear something warm just in case.

If you want to make sure you see every part if the city go to Twin Peaks. The views are stunning. You can even see the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. We actually went back twice. Don't miss this spot if you enjoy taking photos.

We went up to the Twin Peaks at night and the views of the city was just stunning. Get there early to make sure you get a good viewing point- it was very busy at 20:00 when we went up !

Great place to see San Francisco. Easy to to go up with a car. There are parking places and public toilets.

Our tour guide took us up here and the views of the city are fantastic. He did say go back at sun set for even better views.

No question .. this is one of must do's when visiting San Francisco. I can think of handful cities in the world that have such a great spot to view the entire San Francisco area (360 degrees) from one spot. This spot costs $0 to visit, zero to park, but if you want to climb either one of the peaks, it is a bit of a steep hike. Great spot, must visit. Safe, clean and you see everything.

A must visit. Be aware that up there is about 15-20 degrees cooler than the city with high winds. So be prepared to be a little cold. But the view is so worth it. Hoping is not that cloud you will be able to see the city and the golden gate - also how is beautifully surrounded by the ocean.

I accidentally found out this route and walked up the top hills and realised I was at Twin Peaks. Good view overseeing the entire San Francisco city! Apart from the view, got nothing to explore. Worthwhile visiting.

Twin Peaks provide a great 360 view of the city. A few clouds were coming in so the kids were excited to be in the clouds. Lots of parking at the end of the day when we went. We never did find the famous swing from instagram.

We went on a very clear day with a very small group guided tour so did not have to worry about parking. Well worth the trip. Has to be one of the best views of the city.

During my last trip to SF we drove up to Twin Peaks around 4pm. It was crowded and we got really lucky finding a parking space but the views were worth it!!
If your up for a hike, theres a set of wooden steps instead of driving up and back.
Definitely going to plan my next stop here during sunrise or set 😍😍

We did the drive up to twin peaks as an afterthought on our last day in San Fran. The view was to die for and it’s free! The bridge in the distance through the fog and the city views were so pretty and we even managed to spot our hotel in the distance. Be prepared for wind! And lots of people!

The Twin Peaks offer stunning panoramic views across San Francisco from the Bay Bridge to the Golden Gate Bridge. Especially in clear weather, the view is simply spectacular and definitely worth a visit.
However, you should plan the trip well: Unfortunately, in fog or bad weather you hardly see anything, and the wind can be quite strong. Therefore, it is best to choose a sunny day – then the path is definitely worthwhile.

This curious mark on google maps, the location took us to a very small parking lot, where we had to walk about 20min to reach the viewpoint on the top of the mountain, but since we got there, we saw that there is also parking and I don't know why the map didn't send us there in the first place.
Still the road is not so heavy, but it is a steep slope. Already upstairs the view of the city is excellent, the only bad thing is that we went around 5 pm and it was already starting to cool, and also it was getting a lot of air, which made being in the viewpoint somewhat uncomfortable.

Fun Fact: San Francisco is a unique city built on over 50 hills! Yeah, you read that right! So while driving around the city, you might notice the steep roads and the hilly areas.
Twin Peaks are two such prominent hills that you must visit while in SF. Located almost 1000 feet in the centre of the city, you can get a gorgeous panoramic view of the entire city! There is a viewing centre, close to the parking spot and you can walk higher up the peak from there. One of the best sights of SF, this one is a must visit.

What an amazing view. Highly recommended if you are driving. It really was superb, looking back towards San Francisco! Free parking on site.

Stunning views of San Francisco! Could see Golden Gate and into downtown. Great way to see all the parks of the city.

Restrooms, parking and lots of pictures to take. Beautiful view of the city! Must do! Great for families. Next time would go up at night time to get pictures.

If the weather is clear and nice, you must come to this scenic view. The best place to get a truly overview of the city.

Ah fog, or named Karl in San Francisco. It really does love to mess with you in this city. The day we went up there, we were hesitant. The city itself was clear but the closer we got to Twin Peaks, the more fog we encountered. Though I am glad we persisted. See i was foggy up there but was a fast moving fog. It ended up being a really cool experience. The fog would block the view of the city then it would roll out and you would get this great view of the city. Then it would roll back in for a minute, then out again. My husband actually got a great time lapse of this with his go-pro. It was a cool experience and the views amazing.
On the way down , we didn't get to get far to get below the fog an the views of the city really are amazing. Highly recommend and don't let fog discourage you. It may block it all or it may be like us and you get this really cool experience.

Can be easily reached by bus. Bus will stop in front of the steps (well-constructed, about 20-30 steps) to the hill view, which is also the car park level. You can see a good view from there already. If u wish, you could also climb further up to either of the twins peaks for the same view, but unblocked. We went for sunset but the sun sets on the other side(not the city side). Left the place before dark and took a bus back too.

I remember the night when my car was busted into up here on twin peaks by three black guys one night . Be very careful up here as there is a bad element that hangs out here just looking for people to Rob and hold up .It's been in the news several time over the years where people would go up here for the great view and get robbed . Alot of people have lost their cameras and valuables up here on this hill with a spectacular view of the Bay area .Just be careful you hear. !!!

A beautiful view with a wonderful day when we were there, it's about 15 minutes drive from the pier 39 fisherman's wharf.

Pretty city views but this is a high crime area. Rental car window was smashed and lots of personal property stolen. The police can’t do anything about it. This photo is not worth ruining your trip and spending an hour at the police station

What a place!!!
can be reached by various means, walking, cycling, motorbike or car. Either way is gonna be fine.
Once you reach the base of either peak, there are steps (just for walking) for both climbing and descending (on different slopes).
You can raise and lower from one and the same to the other viewpoint (to the other peak)
Eye, we got too windy at the top, we thought it was for a good place to enjoy the view while eating, but the wind was so intense that we changed our minds.
We walked, to go down again to the urban area, there are stairs that are not marked, but make the turn much shorter

Incredible views of the city from all sides! It is very windy at the top, and a bit chilly, even in August. Dress appropriately. Cool toilet!

If you are in the Castro area then head over here for some amazing views of the city.
It’s an easy hike, only takes about 30 minutes to get to the top.

Best views of the city right here! We took the Dylans Tour bus up and we were not dissapointed. Such a perfect day, we could see every direction with no fog.

We were lucky to have a car, this was the last day of our holiday and we enjoyed the trip up to Twin Peaks. Don't miss this out...

Took an UBER up and down to have a view of this amazing city. A 30 minute visit is more than enough, however def worth the trip.

I have friends with apartments up here, but I also take visitors up to the top to see the splendid view down Market Street. Great way to see much of the city, but come on a clear day and don't leave anything in your car that can be stolen.

First, we ubered up and down. It was super easy and a good decision. There are a lot of people up top, but there is loads of space and unrivaled views. Oh and one free rest room which can be helpful.

Most amazing views at night or day. Only down part it can be windy. Wanna impress a date take them there at night when it is clear.

You must get up here to view the city from the highest point. Get a guided tour so you get an explanation of the city and how it developed over the years.

Great place to visit for views of the city. Quite quiet too as it’s away from the tourist hot spots. We were lucky to see clouds sweep in across the skyscrapers while we were up there which was quite spectacular.

I could not believe it could be this cold in mid-July! And so windy! I did not last up there long. We took a few photos and then ran back to the warm car. Brrrr!!!

Definitely recommend! Worth drive. Best views in city!! Fun to walk to top of Peak. Can go at any pace. Can see great views without walking up to top of peak if not able to go to top.

Wind your way up to the top, and definitely park the car. Its a short trek to the top and the views are amazing! From the pacific to the golden gate bridge, across the bay, and down market street to the city skyline to the ball park and down bay...the views in all directions extraordinary. Love the fog rolling in off the pacific - would recommend late afternoon to experience that.

My rating was influenced by the weather as it was really foggy when I went so there were no views, although it was cool being above the fog at least. It also seemed a bit dodgy as there was broken glass everywhere over the car park.

We stopped here for a brief visit during our Dylan tour. Such a clear day and great views. Don’t miss it!

My wife and I visiting San Francisco for the first time and our friend gave us a ride to this place in the very first day of our visit. There are also public transportation but just to the base and you should go to the peak by walk.
The scenery was spectacular.I found aclear idea about bay and different parts f San Francisco.
The weather was a bit windy . It is good to have jacket or warm clothes.
If you like you can spend time for trails or biking .
Generally it is two hills ( second and third highest in San Francisco) that is worth to visit .
It is free.

Well worth the walk up as the reward of seeing the whole bay area far outweighs the aches and pains.

Superb view, very interesting from its panorama. We also went there at night to discover San Francisco lit up, it’s magical. Beautiful photos to take.

A very steep hike but worth it for the views at the top! We did this on our first day in SF, walking up from Castro. It was a great chance to see some of the residential area and some beautiful houses on the way up, and orientate ourselves with the city at the top

Spectacular viewpoint, possibly the one with the best panoramic view of the city. You can go up to the top by car or to the base by bus (and walk up some short stairs). It is worth it, especially at dusk, and on clear days.

As a telecommunications engineer who works on and climbs radio masts, this was an ideal location to see some masts along with some great views over San Francisco!!!

Made it to the top on a Painted Ladies VW Bus tour. Great weather that day and could see for miles. Must do view of the city from high above.

It was a rainy and foggy day but still managed to catch some great views and pics here. The drive up to the peaks was fun with all the winding roads. Definitely worth a trip to see San Fran from up there!

Missed this place last time I was here. This time made the trip with my partner and got to enjoy this magnificent view. I truly missed out last time.
A must do

All. You can't miss the twin peaks visit of you are in san francisco. Very nice view of the bay and aan francisco.
I really like it you can stay there a couple of hr max. Fo not forget to bring with you a wind jacket is cold and windy over there. You can go also by car up to the top and visit around.

I hated that we had to see this happen to a family visiting Twin Peaks, but thought I'd share so others are aware and can avoid this happening to them.
This advise isn't only for Twin Peaks or San Francisco, but it's good advise for anywhere you travel in the world.
We visited Twin Peaks this past Sunday, June 23 at 10am in the morning. All the auto parking spots were full and half of the large bus spots (we were lucky to get a spot).
We were there for 10 minutes enjoying the views of the City when we returned to our car and saw a car two spots down had been broken into. Three windows were smashed and you can see the belongings hanging out. I assume somebody must have yelled at the vandal and that's why the backpack is hanging there. There was a car full guys a few spots down from us smoking marijuana, so who knows if it was them or not.
The family happened to return and were quiet upset. Considering their car was full of luggage I assumed they were on their way to/from the airport. Not a great way to start/end a trip to a great city.
Anyway ~ If you're going to go please put EVERYTHING in your trunk.

Quick drive up Twin Peaks yields great views and great fun. The space is well kept with good stairs and spaces to take jn the bay area. This is a great activity during the day or night. It can get windy and cold so be prepared. There are multiple parking areas offering great views nearby, but you can park once and walk to different amaxing areas. This is a very romantic spot as well. Yoi are high up and itbrings on hand holding.

Probably the favorite thing we did in SF. And I almost skipped it!! Luckily we got lost and I saw the road sign and said okay well since we are here, lets go check it out. So happy I did! AMAZING views of the city. Definitely take a few minutes to go up if you like beautiful cityscape views

You need a car or a tour to get here but it is definitely worth it for such a panoramic view of the City and across to Oakland and elsewhere. It can get quickly cold so take a jacket.

This is a great place to get panoramic views of San Fransisco . Watch your valuables. There is alot of broken glass from windows and windshields in the parking lot.

This is where one goes for the great view down Market Street. And it can be very windy and refreshing. And you will see all the way over to Oakland and beyond. But beware of car break-ins in the parking lot, so don't keep anything in your trunk or the back of your car, or on the seat. The car should be empty. And then you can relax.

Great place to get a view over San Francisco on a clear day. Very easy to get to by public transportation. Just take the F streetcar to the last stop (17th & Castro), then cross the street to take Bus 37 to 74 Crestline Drive. All the tourists and skateboarders will get off here. It's a very short but steep hike up. I went to Noe Peak first (which had less people), then Christmas Tree Point. I think you can only see the Golden Gate Bridge (through the fog) from Noe Peak. Very windy at the top and lots of crows. If you take the bus back, you can get on at the same stop. The bus will then take a break at the last stop before going back to the Castro.

If you are a nature lover and enjoy hiking, you will love this hike. Beautiful scenery and great view of the Golden Gate bridge. I was very fortunate to view some great plants/flowers, and get pics of wildlife including an owl.

The views, on non-foggy days, are extravagant and help you get a good picture of this small, 49-square mile, city and the Bay Area including Oakland, Berkeley, Marin County and more. BUT, take a warm coverup - the winds make it cool or cold up there....

We went to Twin peaks, which are the two highest hills (280 meters) overlooking the city of San Francisco after Mount Davidson.
From the top of Twin Peaks, we had a wonderful panoramic viewpoint over San Francisco city and its bay!

A little out of the city by bus or car.
Too high to comfortably cycle up, .... maybe down!
Great view, but you'd need a local to point everything out to you.
be careful what time you go as fog rolls in very quickly and frequently!

We were fortunate enough to be there a clear day. The view over the bay is stunning. Do not leave stuff in your car. The many piles of broken glass shows that there are a lot of break ins.
If you have a car this is an easy destination to get to and fairly ample parking. I’ve been in SF many times and somehow missed going here. Don’t do my mistake. This is a great destination even for a shorter trip

Amazing views from what feels like the top of the world! Perfect photo op!! Especially on a clear day!

Beautiful view, one of the top places to see as a tourist in the city.
My daughter took us (her two cousins and I) on a half day of sightseeing and this was one of our stops.
Panoramic view of the city is a great photo opportunity.
I was pretty dismayed at the amount of trash on the ground - not sure why people cannot pick up after themselves. Maybe because there is no charge to park (pretty tight parking) or maybe trash barrels are not enough.

Warning!!! We were there less than 20 min and our rental car back windows were smashed and the thugs attempted to steal our suitcases. Thank goodness a passing car beeped it’s horn and scared them away, Police report filed. Was told 4 groups target the area since its known for tourists. Police not surprised at all . I repeat, don’t go ! Not worth the trouble. FYI : this was in daylight.

This is a must see for visitors! The views are amazing! Parking is tricky, but it’s worth it. Be sure to take something warm if you go at sunset.

The road was closed due to construction. Even though we didn't see any signs of actual work being done. We parked at the bottom of the road and walked up. Its about a half a mile up. Great views of the city from up there.

we climbed the first half, but due to the fog the view was too poor, so we just strolled a bit. usually by noon time is better

It's Free, and offers a stunning view of San Francisco. It's 4 stars for me, which is a very good place to visit. Spend a minimum of 30 minutes to appreciate the view, maybe more! I was there on June 25, 2019.

You get a great view of the city from up here--but make sure there is no fog--otherwise you can see nothing.

The views are great, but tourists should be aware that there are a lot of car break-ins here. So leave your luggage and other things at the hotel or with friends. Don't tempt the thieves. The view from up here is superb, look down Market Street and you will see all the skyscrapers, plus get to know the geography of the city. Come on a sunny day.

I went here with my wife while we were in San Francisco, since I wanted to see a different view of the Bay Area. You can really see the different "micro-climates," as the day I went, one side of the bay was visibly sunny, and the other was quite cloudy and rainy. It was cool to see this, but it's quite difficult to get to. We had to take a subway and then take another bus up to the top. Also, because you are so high up, it was quite windy and cold, but it was still an all right experience. Probably not the first thing to do in San Francisco, but it was fun nevertheless.

This MUST be done on a clear day. If its cloudy or rainy it will take away the enjoyment. We had an overcast day and could barely see the golden gate bridge. But it was still worth it because the view is spectacular. Since it is free it is even better.

What more can I say, beautiful views across San Francisco and the Bay. Some iconic TV adverts have used this exact spot :)

If you want the best view of the entire city, this is a must do. Can be busy at times and parking limited but definitely worth it.

Although I've been to San Francisco before I'd never been to twin peaks.
Slightly misty but the views were unhindered.
Well worth a visit.

Absolutely stunning views from the overlook. No fog, no wind, just a stunning vista.
Definitely worth a look.

From Twin Peaks you can enjoy the city skyline at its best on sunny days, but also at night. Even you can see Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate bridge.

This was a great place to see the city. Nice place to get photos, especially selfies. Add this to your list.

At the free Twin Peaks viewpoint you have a nice view of downtown San Francisco. It is a very busy point, with many buses and cars, so sometimes a parking space is difficult to find. But definitely worth a visit.

Really a great view. Seeing San Francisco all over. We came by day time and stayed until night. A real must!! 😀

It's a long and winding road to the top (used to be dirt) You can see the entire bay area from the highest point accessible by car . Used to be a local hang out. Well worth the drive. This is another must visit at night as well as daytime. I think night is BEST. Lots of commercials shot here. This is another of my best free sites.

We loved this place! It is about 20 minutes of walk till the top of the view point, so you have a little bit of physical activity, and you are there! Definitely something to do while you are visiting SF!

Couldn’t ask for a better view of San Francisco. Can be a little cold and windy that’s why they sell sweatshirts up their. When the tour busses pull in can get a little crowed

There are some side trails that allow you to walk up or cycle up via the road. Clouds move fast so you can get some nice time lapse shots during golden hours.

On top of Twin Peaks, one has a beautiful view of the valley below and of the bay. We were fortunate enough not to experience any fog. The view was well worth the trip.

Our cousin took us to Twin Peaks during a recent visit to SF. The view was great and we were fortunate to have mostly clear weather. But he told us the area has been hit by many smash and grab robberies recently. Thieves will smash a window, grab anything visible, and take off. We saw the evidence of broken glass in several parking places. There have been so many incidents that the police will only respond if items valued at more than $1000 are taken. It's imperative to keep items from view, and make your visit a quick stop.

This is a great place to view the city, it is a bit far out as you would expect but reachable by bus, car or taxi.
Would definitely recommend coming here if in the area.

We took a cab to the top from our hotel near Union Square and walked back down to Golden Gate Park. The 360 degree views from the top are superb. We were lucky that is was a clear blue sky day, as it can be clouded in mist. A must visit place in San Fran and it’s free. Great city views.

During our Dylan's Tour of SF, we also visited the Twin Peaks, and had such great views of the SF city, and also south to the airport side ..... we had perfect weather for seeing everything.

I visited twin peaks with my family and it's such a wonderful experience one must have before leaving San francisco, the drive towards Twin Peaks is so much fun cause you driving up the hill, the views are breath taking, one sees clouds surrounding you as if you are in heaven, the cold breezes refreshes you like anything, as you reach the twin peaks you could see beautiful houses on the hill going deep down the earth surface and on the other side u have a whole view of the San Francisco city, you will really enjoy this place with your loved ones or solo too. It's a 10/10 place.

An absolute must see. Absolutely stunning location. We struck gold with absolutely perfect weather with totally clear panoramic views. AMAZING.

Very accessible and worth the visit. Plan to spend about 45 min just taking in the incredible views of San Francisco. Twin Peaks is centrally located just outside the city. It is a top 5 must do while in San Francisco.

Join the throngs of tourists in viewing the city from on high. The view is looking east toward the Financial District so all the skyscrapers and the bay beyond are visible. Parking is a bit of a problem but keep circling if necessary.

loved the trip just to get there, lots of windy turns and curves. Then the views are simply WOW. The entire city lies below. It really is wonderful.

Spectacular view of the city and the skyline. There is plenty of parking at the top. There is also a hiking trail from the bottom which name people took.

Although we had the usual mist rolling in, there were moments and places that provided great views over the city, when clouds separated and sunshine came out. We reached the peaks by public bus, which is an experience by itself and showed us quarters of SF, that tourists usually do not frequent.

We took Dylan's Tour of SF and stopped here for the view! Wow! It was cold, windy and beautiful. It's the highest point in San Francisco. Definitely worth going up to and enjoy the view!

Great views of San Francisco! Is a slightly challenging walk (especially if you don’t like hills!) however it is do-able. Safe for solo female travelers as there are always people walking around (and up and down the trail).

Went there for the picture opportunities and selfies. Not as hectic as you would thing it, but worth the trip

Twin Peaks is such a beautiful and unique view of the city! Definitely worth the trip here! You won’t regret it!

On our city tour, we got to get off the bus and take pictures, which was nice. You could see so much of the city from here.

I never thought the view from this point was so good. This is s a must place when you go to San Francisco. I was there in August and being from Singapore I felt quite cold and wind was very strong. You must wear warm clothes. There are toilets.

We went on a sunny and clear day so the views were amazing. There was a urine smell though so be aware of that!

Think about the history of the city. The indians were here before the european conquistadors. It's said that the spanish settlers called the place "The breasts of the young indian woman". What a beutiful place.
The trails are not long but they are steep. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and have some water to drink. There are no bars or restaurants on the hill.

To get to the twin peaks we took the metro and then the bus to a stop somewhere in Midtown Terrace. From the bus stop we followed Google Maps up some fairly challenging and muddy pathways until we reached the peaks. The views from the top are spectacular and well worth the journey. There was also a viewing area with telescopes and a toilet if necessary. There wasn't much else other than the view and the viewing area. If you have time though, I would recommend visiting the peaks for the view and the pictures.

Public transport can take you some of the way up, but it's not difficult to "hoof it" up there. The views across downtown are the best.

Enjoy a ride to the top of the Twin Peaks and get the best views of the city in all directions. Hike recommended to all visitors.

This was such a beautiful sight to behold. loved looking at the city from here...everyone on our tour really enjoyed this...don't miss it!

From twin peaks you can see the city and the bay. Probably The best spot to take your Instagram photos. There is a turn off on the road where tour guides pull over to take photos of Torres. However you can drive your own car there and do the same.

I had been trying to identify and find the "Twin Peaks Hairpin Corner" forever! I did not know it was Twin Peaks, as I had only see it on television and music videos. I only knew the view of SF appeared to be fantastic from this vantage point, and I wanted to experience it. We found it totally by accident, and it did not disappoint. The views from Twin Peaks are stunning! So worth the short 30 minute drive.

I visited twin peaks at night, I had an awesome view of San Francisco. This is a must-place to go. There were not many parking spots, but people didn't stay that long because it was windy and pretty cold weather. People wore jackets and padding. You'd better wear warm clothing if you want to see at night.

Had to do this before leaving. What an amazing view. Whole Downtown and part of the Golden Gate bridge can be seen. Road closes at midnight but it's admission free

it was up to the twin peaks overlooking the city for a fantastic view on this fog free day. The Spanish called these heights the “Brest of an Indian maiden”, and the view from below rings true toward such an observation.

We drove up hoping. The fog would allow a view. It was clear enough to see the city but the bridge was hidden. Very nice place for a pick nick but mind the strong wind

Excellent location for a panoramic city view. We we went around 9PM and enjoyed a very clear October night. The drive up was also fun.
A little windy and chilly at night.
Only drawback looks to be some rowdy teenagers hanging out.... smoking/drinking. It’s very dark from the viewpoint so best to be in a group if going up there at night. There was police presence not too far away down the road. Watch your speed going downhill.

Wonderful place to see SF views. Not usually crowded during the week. A bit of a drive from the Embarcadaro and downtown.

Stopped here as part of our Pained Ladies tour and views were stunning. Was a lovely hot clear day and was great to see the city from this viewpoint - definitely worth a trip.

A trip up to one of the highest points in San Francisco is to "Twin Peaks" where on a clear day you can see for miles over the city of San Francisco, over the Bay to Oakland and surrounding areas. You will be able to get some awsome pictures from here of the whole of San Francisco including the Bay Bridge, Alcatraz and Golden Gate Bridge. This spot is well worth a visit .

Fantastic views of the city from here on a clear day. Very easy to get up by car as the road takes you all the way to the top. There are three peaks all 5 mins walk from each other so you can do all within 15-25 mins, thought the views are similar, particularly looking towards downtown.

Spectacular 360 degree views of all San Francisco . Worth going. Easy to get to with a GPS and no climbing necessary

You have to go here for the view! Its superb and shows SF in all its glory! It does get busy but when you see the view you'll see why

Twin Peaks have the best view of San Francisco during the day and night. Make sure to come on a clear day because you will not see anything during foggy days. Also, it could get windy up there, so I recommend bringing a jacket. The line and parking to get there might take some time, but it is definitely worth the wait. Every time I go there, I am still amazed by the view. The best part is: the parking is FREE so you can spend as much time as you want.

The climb up here is something else, but if you decide to climb to the top either in a vehicle or by walking, it's worth it. The entire city is in front of you. Just try not to do it on a windy day!

Worth the trip up. Great panoramic views. Take a jacket as it was a cold wind blowing up there despite the sun

we went early to see the lovely view of the city from the peak . we are lucky that its not a busy time . we had a good pictureof the view.

worth coming up here to see this pnaorama of SF
it's laid out for one to observe and potograph
don't pas this up

If anyone goes to the Bay SF it's a must see. Amazing views of the City. Went at Sunrise. Won't forget that memory. Love the City!! Will go again.

Best view of San Francisco. Really windy and cold. A bit challenging to find a parking space during busy days. A good place to take pictures with the family.

Twin Peaks provide an amazing view of the whole city. We went by car and it was quite easy to reach, I guess without a car it gets challenging to get to the top, but hey, San Francisco is Uber's city...

We went up to Twin Peaks on our VW tour bus (Painted Ladies Tour) and were amazed by the incredible views at the top! You could see for miles up there. It's incredible!

There is no better view of the entire San Francisco peninsula, then from the top of twin peaks. There isn't much more to say about it.

Stunning views and well worth going to visit. Hop on a bus that goes near the top. The drivers are great and let you know which stop to get off. It is quite a step climb at the last bus stop.
Top tip:-
Regardless how sunny and hot it is, wrap up warm as the wind is very cold at the top

This is a place where you drive to and park your car, and then admire the lovely views of the city, especially down Market Street. But not that you should not leave anything in your car as there are thieves around. And also note that the weather can be very windy.

Amazing view point to see the entire city, the bay and the bridge. Well worth the drive up. We went up during the day but it would have been nice to go at night as well had we had the time. Next time will definitely go at night to see all the lights.

Worth the drive up the hill to see a panoramic view of San Fransisco. Able to take wonderful pictures of different parts of the bay.

We lucked out with weather and were treated to a perfect view of San Francisco. This was in our view the best vantage point to see the city.

This place is simply amazing! The views of San Francisco from here cannot be surpassed! Make sure you have your camera ready and you won't be disappointed! On a clear day this is simply awe inspiring. Put this on your "Must See" list you definitely won't regret it!

This area is known as the last habitat in San Francisco for the endangered Mission blue butterfly. Keep your eyes open and see if you can spot their beautiful iridescent colour. It is also a place to see native plants and animals.
It is however heavily trafficked with tour buses galore.
People stop here in droves and all try to get the best vantage points for their stunning panoramic photos.
If you sit on one of the ledges it appears that there's a steep drop in front you like an infinity edge so it's a great optical illusion while the drop is only a few feet.
This is probably the closest you'll get to the famous Sutro TV and radio tower.
Truly great views to downtown and waterfront with all its piers.
You'll see the road below you too winding its way upwards.
It's definitely worth a drive up to see the views. Sunrise and sunset up here would be spectacular!

Worth the drive up. The views are fab & photo worthy. Take the time to enjoy the breath taking panoramic views of the bay, the city & surrounding areas

Stunning views of the city and beyond. The day I was there it was clear and sunny and we could see out the ocean.

Gale force winds dislodging your camera/phone from your hands, standing on the edge of nowhere with no bottom in sight all to get some of the best views of San Francisco. It was all well worth it. Twin Peaks is a must see.

Hadn’t heard of this place before and taken here on a tour of the city. Amazing views and can see across the whole city. Popular with tourists for photos.

An unforgettable place on the San Francisco Bay very easily accessible by bus by car. Twin Peaks are twin peaks, in fact they are two hills rising to about 280 meters. They represent the second highest point in the city after Mount Davidson. Twin Peaks Boulevard is the only road that leads to the top of the hills. The view is superb and majestic we dominate the whole city.

We spent a fantastic day here exploring. We walked to the beach from the Stanyan entrance and back. It took most of the day with a lovely lunch stop just outside the park “Tommy’s restaurant”. We walked about 12 miles but just slowly. We found raccoons and massive gold fish. A boating lake and numerous ponds. We highly recommend as a chill out day.

It was very foggy and misty when we went so the view was not as spectacular as it could have been but we still enjoyed the views!

My Lady and I enjoy the view from Twin Peaks. A Local Friend recommended we go up there for the Sunset, it was Magnificent to behold a beautiful sunset.

Point at the top of the city to see a large part of the bay and the urban area of SAN Francisco. The road up there is beautiful, however there is a lot of dirt and carelessness at the viewpoint.

Very nice place, you can see all of San Francisco, very good panoramic view, we went by bus and walked to the top, very nice experience

We stopped here on our tour and enjoyed the view of the city. I was surprised at how small the city is!
I would be very cautious if you are driving your car here. We saw lots of fresh broken glass in several parking spots. Apparently, there is a problem with break-ins here. Yes - in broad daylight, surrounded by all kinds of tourists, even if you leave for just a few minutes to take some pictures.
Our guide stayed with our vehicle but recommended if you travel here to take all valuables and even leave all your windows down to avoid them breaking into your car.

A must see! The views are just out of this world. Another site with great history and great photo ops. Do come with time to explore and walk . It is a great getaway from the busy City. I learned that it is ranked third place in elevation.

The view is definitely beautiful from up there. It’s not a long drive so I do recommend it. However, it wasn’t a must-see for me personally. It was crazy windy up there. So many ppl trying to take many photos so it wasn’t a quiet place to sit and enjoy the view. And I kind of preferred the ocean view of our hotel room more. We could see the golden gate bridge and the Coit tower.. so a much closer view of only a part of the city but it was more magical for me.

Very Cute place where You may take great panoramic pictures of San Francisco. Plenty of space to park the car and walk around, be ready to deal with a lot of wind.

It was a nice hike heading to the top of the hill. The fresh air and good weather made it worth it. There is a nice view.

View is beautiful. But be aware to not leave anything in your car. They will smash and grab. 2 guys in a Lexus SUV smashing windows and stealing your things. Be aware

Get up above the bustle of the city, and sometimes above the clouds! Visit Twin Peaks in the afternoon for most favorable light on the city. Always bring a jacket as the winds are ever present. It’s a perfect way to get familiar with the city comparing to your map. It’s easy to reach and a great transition between ocean and bay sides of the city. THIS is San Francisco...not Pier 39.

Twin Peaks offers the most all-inclusive view of San Francisco and the Bay Area- On a Clear Day!
Don't bother heading up if there is a significant amount of fog though the view can be interesting if the fog is just starting in from the Pacific Ocean.
Warning- If you get out of your car to look, make sure you lock your car and definitely leave anything of value out of sight in the car. Ideally, always check around you as well to avoid having your camera or cell phone grabbed.

Worth going up to get a selfie at sunset. Take a jacket as it is much winder and colder than down in the city.

If you get a nice clear day, driving up the really steep hills is so worth the stunning views you are rewarded with at the top. It was one of my favorite stops along the tour we took.

We took a trip up anticipating a spectacular view unfortunately the fog had moved in and we were unable to see anything. The trip up was good just wished the fog wasn’t present :(

Amazing views if you are visiting you should come here.. We did a day visit but probably a night visit would be cool.. We don't have time but if we did I'd go back after dark.

Supposed to be a nice view from there, right? Well, I was not the lucky one. I bet it would be much better if I hadn't get trapped in the fog. Just prepare it can happen up there even if it's sunny downtown.
It's definitely necessary to have some extra layer since it's really cold and windy.

We went to this place and were very lucky for the sunny day! There we could see the beautiful SF!
I really recommend the place because of the outstanding views of the city!
Fomos ao Twin Peaks e tivemos muita sorte de irmos num dia ensolarado! Pudemos ver a linda São Francisco! Recomendo o passeio por causa das vistas espetaculares da cidade lá de cima!

Best place to get a view of the entire valley and the city. Not a whole lot to hike but definitely worth a trip if you stay in SF.

Take a drive up to the top of Twin Peaks on a clear day and you can revel in the amazing views! Early in the morning to witness the sunrise over the East Bay is lovely, too!

Nice ride up to Twin Peaks was well worth it. The view of San Francisco was amazing. Great place to take pictures.

Wewent relatively early in the morning by taxi to the Twin Peaks and we have never seen the Golden Gate Bridge so clear. Also from the area SFO is a large city

If in San Francisco you have to visit Twin Peaks, The panoramic view of the city you get from this point is just simply fantastic.
If it's a clear day, even better.

Great panoramic views of San Francisco and nice hikes on both peaks. Both paved roads and trails are available on the way up.

Driving up there was easy the road was smooth....of course many crowds but I was lucky to get a parking spot....long queue for the restroom.
The view is worth it you will get to look at the downtown of SF and the Golden Gate Bridge!

All the reviews are spot-on. This is an insanely great view for SF from 1,000 ft up. It’s like you are on a balance overlooking the city below. Totally worth the winding road and limited parking.
Travelers note: the bathroom is one of those self cleaning jobs and tough line. Go before you arrive.

Very much worth it. Get out the map ir your gps and head here for a great panorama of the entire city. Plenty of free parking on this windy hilltop makes for some excellent photos.

I've been a Twin Peaks resident for almost 5 years. Due to COVID and the closure of Twin Peaks Blvd, there have been many car break ins along the residential streets where visitors now park to gain access to the trails/peaks.
The view is worth seeing (I live here and it never gets old!), but please DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CAR!!!! Visitors are targeted here for leaving their belongings in the car as they make a quick trip up to the peaks. Car robberies happen in seconds. One of our neighbors created a YouTube channel (channel name Twin Peaks Bvld) for robberies that he catches on his surveillance cameras.
Please watch if you can. It happens in seconds and can (and will likely) happen to you if you leave ANYTHING in your car. These robberies happen multiple times a day, at all times of day, especially broad daylight. For many of these burglars, it is their "job." These robberies are organized. They work in teams and have cars on the lookout for people who have just parked and head up to the peaks. Then they drive by, case the car, break the window, take everything in sight and then quickly drive away.
I feel so badly for those visiting San Francisco during a vacation to see the beautiful city, only to return to their car and have all their belongings stolen. I've called the police on countless occasions and comforted many visitors mourning the loss of their belongings. Some have even sustained injuries from trying to hold onto their thing as they are being dragged by the thieves' vehicle. I sadly witnessed this happen today, which compelled me to write this review.
Please read this before you visit, and vote this review as helpful so that anyone who is planning to visit will read this. Peace and blessings to you!

Visited Twin peaks during our US tour with SOTC group. The main attraction is breath taking view of San Francisco city & bay from Twin peaks. It is up on the hill and very windy at the top. Also bit cold and even in summer, you may need a jacket when on top on the peaks. Take nice pictures of the city as you get the best view of the city. It is about 900 ft above sea level and 2nd highest point in SF city. It is open 365 days a year and there is no entry fee.

Since we were on the electric bikes, we had enough energy to ride up to the Twin Peaks and have a phenomenal view of San Francisco once the fog rolled away!

Beautiful view, a bit windy and cold but really great stop on the tour. Photo opportunities and views for miles.

A nice place to go twice. First once during the day and again at sunset and night. A beautiful vantage point over San Francisco, free and easy to reach by motorcycle or car. With public transport a bit more difficult and especially the last part, where you have to walk up a lot (an uber might be better). But highly recommended...

If you’re in a vehicle it’s clearly a place to go. The access is very simple. it overlooked incredible San Francisco. Twin Peaks, the twin peaks, is named after the fact that they are two almost identical hills. With an altitude of more than 280 meters, they are the second highest peak in San Fransisco. I recommend you to make the detour through these hills.

We were fortunate ate to have a. Ar and drove from nob hill where our hotal was to twin peaks and it is an absolutely cracking view of san fran truly spectacular and if you have t a car then get a cab under, whatever but I would say it's on a par as an attraction with the golden gate bridge

One of the best views in the world. Park your car, get out & take some photos. The city is displayed at your feet. But beware that there are thieves about and do not leave anything valuable in your car while you are out.

The highest point in San Francisco, at the end of Market street passing by Castro. Great views of the SF skyline, Bay bridge, Golden Gate bridge ....Can be very windy

We took a cab to Twin Peaks, but the top section was closed to cars. We ran up the hill about 30 yards and took pictures. Be careful! It was extremely windy and my friend felt a gust push her toward the edge of the hill. Hang on to small children. Good view of the city even half way up past the locked gate.

Guys make sure you head up to twin peaks- you get an amazing vista over the city... was a cool vibe going on too with some live music.
Worth it.

A little chilly in January but still worth it. Not often you get a view like this of such a huge part of the city and attractions.

We were with a tour when we visited Twin Peaks and were pleased that we did. It was a fine day and the view was perfect. The drive to twin peaks is also interesting with views and some lovely houses to look at.
Incredible views of the city!
A must go to spot in SF! The views of the city are incredible, and it's a lovely walk. Very popular spot so if you're driving you may be waiting for a space to become available.
