By reading the reviews, you can already get an idea of how good it is, however, after visiting the park, it is another level!!! It is a spectacular theme park within Hollywood and around the world. The games are great, for all tastes and ages. There are games that are pure adrenaline, based on the concept of a Russian mogul, and other games that are quieter, designed for children, such as the one in the pet world. While the price is somewhat steep, we consider it to be totally worth it.

Universal is a great theme park. It's less about the studios and more about the rides.
The studio tour itself hasn't changed in many years. It's more like an interactive ride.
Def worth a visit if you're in LA.

I am so encouraged for an unforgettable experience with my brother. This will be history in the coolest of my life.

It’s a debate as to if it’s worth the money or not and the answer is personal not general.
Skipping the queues makes an unbelievable difference. If you afford it do it at least Express. And it probably saves you some money that you would have spent killing time in shops and food stops.
The studio tour is vastly better than the standard.
Is it worth it? Yes, for us.
Other tips:
Don’t go on Fan Nights it closes early.
Avoid Karen as your tour guide.

WOW is all I can say. All around amazing experience, from the valet, to the VIP lounge, the continental breakfast, our guide, the bus, the express lanes, and the buffet lunch. Absolutely beyond my already high expectations. We had Danielle W. as our tour guide and I don't think it would have been the same without her. She was the highlight of our entire trip! Even out and about in LA, people saw our VIP badges and asked who our tour guide was ~ they were so happy to hear it was Danielle W! We can tell she has positively effected so many lives, including ours! Recommend asking for her to tour your experience, you won't be disappointed!

Much smaller than its Orlando sibling but don’t get fooled - Universal Hollywood has still plenty to offer. The highlight for me was the studio tour which showed us some of famous movie sets you’ll recognise from blockbusters and music videos.

In addition to the ticket price there is parking (the farthest is $35/$55/$75 at the nearest ).
Attention some attractions must be done without backpack (+5$the locker that works with the Qr code of the parking or ticket and the credit card . The locker is valid for 2 hours ... it’s definitely stealing.
Otherwise the park is very nice and clean nothing to say
We spent a beautiful day without too many people

We heard the amusement parks in orlando were so good, but coming here, i thought they were crude, businesses that operated like a machine. I found prejudice among some, edgy continuations among some, and a haughty sense of themselves. Universal seemed like they ordered me, not friendly.

For almost 30 years now our family has attended Universal Orlando 1-3 times a year every year. My family has never been with me to Universal Hollywood and I thought it would be a fun way to celebrate one of our family member’s birthday. This did not disappoint! Was worth the 4.5 hour flight to get to from our state.
Parking: we selected on site closest lot. Worth every penny. They provided free fruit snacks and water upon entry. Parking attendants/cashiers were helpful and kind.
TSA/security: very detailed and rapid process
Guest Services: needed to stop there for a personal matter for someone in our party. Very friendly, professional and accommodating. Answered our questions and rapid service. Had great a/c in there as well.
Excellent acting and character interactions in the park. Beetlejuice was a big highlight. My daughter liked seeing Lucy, Marylin and Hello Kitty.
Highlights: City Walk, TRAM, seeing the Psycho House and Bates Motel(including photo opportunity) Jurassic World, Mummy, Secret Life of Pets, meeting one of our favorite YouTubers that was there, the views - the mountains look gorgeous, really liked they had nods to classics and Alfred Hitchcock.
Food highlight: Stay Puft Smore for HHN. We had good service and fresh food at Johnny Rockets.
Any constructive feedback: Starbucks (location near Transformers and LeatherFace/Panda Express area) Starbucks staff at this location were extremely rude, unprofessional, unprepared, and made drinks wrong. Felt very unwelcoming in there. Everyone was too busy horse-playing and being catty. Waste of our $32
All areas were handicapped accessible and easy to navigate.
Clean spaces including bathrooms.
Will we return? Absolutely! Can’t wait to go back!

A great day at a great park.
It will be even better when the new Fast and Furious coaster opens next year.
Having said that, the attractions that we did were all great.
Food offerings were great and especially happy as there’s a Panda Express near the Transformers ride entrance.

Zero zero zero zero zero effort take example on Asterix I beg you 140€ in the wind thank you moreover give my pennies

Some really good rides, especially Harry Potter and Jurassic Park, plus The Mummy. Expensive for sure but well worth it. Worth thinking how to use express tickets strategically. And definitely enjoy the shopping area next door - we loved Bubba Gump!

Absolutely a blast! So much to do for everyone. Military discount available for all purchases, including shops and food, but not every vendor will ask you if you're military.

I am writing this review in regards to a recent experience my family and I had at Universal Studios, which was both disappointing and disheartening.
My family and I drove from Las Vegas to Universal Studios during my 11yr old son's spring break specifically to take advantage of your advertised First Responder promotion. According to the information provided on your website, first responders were eligible for free admission, with up to three accompanying family members receiving tickets at 50% off. As a Category One Police Officer, I met the criteria clearly outlined in the promotion.
Upon arrival, I presented my badge and official ID at the kiosk. However, the supervisor on duty informed me that I did not qualify as a first responder. I reiterated my position as a police officer and showed her my credentials again, but she continued to dismiss my eligibility in a condescending and disrespectful manner—in front of my entire family. This public denial was not only humiliating but also deeply upsetting. I take great pride in my service in law enforcement, and this incident was especially hurtful as my son looks up to me for the work I do.
The supervisor offered me only 10% off park admission. Frustrated and confused, I contacted Universal’s customer service. I explained that I had carefully read the terms and conditions on the website, which clearly stated that the promotion was open to all first responders—not just limited to certain counties or states. The representative I spoke with claimed the promotion was meant only for LA County sheriffs due to the recent fires, which was not disclosed anywhere in the public terms. She then offered me 20% off and said she could escalate the issue, though I wouldn't receive a response for a few days. I asked her to proceed with the escalation, stressing that what had occurred was false advertising.
My family was devastated. After being denied the promotion at the gate, we had no choice but to return to Las Vegas, wasting our time, travel expenses, and the opportunity to make meaningful spring break memories.
The next day, I received a call from a manager in Guest Communications who admitted that the situation had been mishandled and that I should have been eligible for the promotion. I explained that I simply wanted the offer to be honored. He said he would honor it, but only if I returned within the next couple of weeks—despite knowing I had just left the park, my son’s break was ending. This solution he was offering was completely inconvenient for myself and my family as we don't live the state! I requested a longer extension under these circumstances, but he refused. Instead, he offered 25% off for a future visit, which falls far short of the original promotion and does not make up for the way my family and I were humiliated and disrespected by the way we were treat.
He also mentioned having many issues with staff misunderstanding the promotion. That, however, is not the responsibility of the guests—it is Universal’s responsibility to train staff properly and honor what they advertise.
I am writing this complaint because this experience left my family feeling disrespected, misled, and discriminated against. The promotion was not honored, and our time and money were wasted. Most importantly, I was denied recognition as a first responder despite my service, which was both deeply personal and painful. I hope Universal takes this matter seriously and ensures other first responders are treated with the respect and integrity they deserve.

We paid for the Express pass for Halloween Horror Nights. Pass was $319.00 each. I am glad we paid for the pass because we did get to all the attractions that we wanted to get to. The negative was there are 8 haunted houses. They were all essentially the same, nothing scary nothing interesting. The park was so oversold that they were rushing you through each attraction. You could see what was coming because they were pushing you through. I was shocked that Universal did such a poor job with these Haunted Houses nothing at all seemed to be creative or original. Everyone in our group of 4 agreed. Would never go back or recommend it to anyone.

Luke, if you are reading this, thank you for making our tour interesting, fun and personalised. It was perfect, interesting facts, walking iconic sets (Back to the Future - seeing it was a long time dream, the Dirty Harry street, on and on), driving down Wysteria Lane, great Pyscho house action. The walk to the front of the ride queues was almost too good, as a Brit we felt almost embarrassed at how good the service was. We loved it, felt the value was bang on and ofcoarse Luke, listened to what we loved at the start, and delivered in the tour. Brilliant. Thank you.

It was alot of fun. Did one day with my husband. Open to about 7:30pm. Decorations were fabulous for Christmas holidays. Long lines but it's a park so expected that. Many many characters all over the park worth out the day.

Our visit to Universal Studios Hollywood was simply fantastic and one of the highlights of our trip! The mix of thrilling rides, impressive shows and fascinating studio tours makes the park an experience for young and old.
Especially impressive was the studio tour, where you can look behind the scenes of real movie sets – including famous scenes from blockbusters. The roller coasters and themed rides, such as Harry Potter or Jurassic World, are action-packed, highly detailed and provide plenty of fun and adrenaline.
The shows are entertaining and lovingly staged, and everywhere you feel the passion for film and television. The park grounds are well maintained, the restaurants offer a good selection, and the Service was consistently friendly.
We spent the whole day there and it never felt rushed as everything is well organized. For movie fans, adrenaline junkies or families, Universal Studios Hollywood is absolutely worthwhile and an experience not to be missed!

The Harry Potter ride was one of the best with unexpected visuals and experience. I was sitting on a seat that was swung around by a robotic arm with different scenes and different vr like rooms

This is also my life trip as a Jurassic Park fan made so well the quality is better than Osaka but the playground is more stimulating Osaka.

Did the VIP experience for my first time there and so amazing. Fantastic tour guide, well worth the $$ if you can afford it.

The park is really uninteresting do not waste your money for the Award there are really very few attractions and in addition some are closed in addition you add parking at 35$
Many shops and restaurants to spend!!! Our French theme parks are much better. Very disappointed we will not return!!!!

No wonder that this is one of the leading Amusement Parks. Something for everyone. Harry Potter World is the key attraction for us. Rides and interactive experiences are amazing. Buy a wand and bring it with you each time you come. We’re coming back this May and will try out the FanFest night event. Also like their VIP tours. You don’t need 10 to 12 people in your own group to take advantage of the special treatment. Love the tram ride no matter how many times we go on it. They try to keep it as up-to-date as possible. City Walk right next to it has a lot to see and do as well.

It's very well done, I really liked the scenery and the studio tour attraction which is absolutely fantastic! For the rest it's almost only big eights and we appreciated less because we would have liked it to rely more on the cinema universe than just big eight themed.

We had a great studio back lot tour fun and very informative.
Guides were great, very knowledgeable. The park itself is not giant, so you can calmly do all the attractions in one day, you even can tour in the studio, which is very well worth it.
All the attraction par excellence, beautiful settings and experiences to live with the various attractions. In most of the sets, it feels like being on actually in movie set. Most of the rides are catered for the young kids. We spent many hours in the theme park area on site which is great, It is divided into various themed areas: you will find the Simpsons area, the Jurassic world area, the Super Mario area and the World of Harry Potter. in particular theHarry Potter themed village featuring a massive recreation of Hogwarts is absolutely stunning.
A really great amusement park!

Amazing Absolutely love this place. I'm a huge movie fan. I can't wait for the new adventures to come. Going there with friends and family makes the experience even more better.

Came back to the parks after 6 years since our first visit. Lots of rides are still the same a few are still as good as the first time. Generally if find there are more stores and things to purchase than last which I find sad. Would have preferred to have more activities than there is.
We will not be returning as I find the prices are too high compared to the number of activities

I returned after about 10 years in this theme park and the beautiful memory I had turned into a tremendous disappointment. Exorbitant admission price, huge crowds and very few attractions open. Most dermis for maintenance or for repeated failures throughout the day. The day I was also all the waterworld shows in the afternoon had been closed due to technical problems. A day's vacation and $700 literally thrown away. To be avoided absolutely!

We got stuck in the ride “Harry Potter and the forbidden Journey” for ca. 100 minutes, in the dark and cold, with ca. 40 other people. No ligts were turned on, nobody provided information, nobody asked us if we are OK. Nobody provided blankets or water. Once they finally turned on the lights-still nobody talked to us. Extremly scary and traumatizing. Scary, that such a big entertainment Factory has no emergency protokol. Even more scary, if they have and that is what we experienced.

The globe was smaller than we thought (we were very disappointed) the rides are very exciting, would recommend the studio tour and the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride

Entered at 9:30. Bought a fast pass - did all the rides in one day no problem and the studio tour!
Ate at Toadstool - had the burger and spaghetti - both were pretty tasty.
It was a perfect day!

Perfect, no waiting, we were in a priority line and so we were able to fully enjoy all the attractions. To highly recommend, tickets purchased on TripAdvisor worked without any problems. Go ahead with your eyes closed.

Incredible park, the scenery is fabulous.
Our only regret is that we were only there for one day during our stay in Orlando.
We plan to return to rediscover this wonderful park.

What a delightful experince from start to finish. We arrived at the park and dropped our vehicle with valet parking, which was seamless.
Made our way to the VIP entrance, where we were ushered into the VIP lounge. This warm and inviting space offered a continental breakfast: meat and cheese croissants, fruit, yogurt , coffee, etc.
Our guide, Silas, came around and introduced himself to each of us personally, which was such a nice gesture.
The tour of the studio and sound stages was so cool. Walking around the outdoor movie sets was also incredible. Silas provided loads of info as well as humor.
Lunch was at the VIP restaurant, which featured all sorts of options and outdoor seating, weather permitting.
After lunch, we headed out to hit the main attractions, and when we arrived, we went directly to the front of each line.
Each tour lasts ~ 6 hours, but when our tour was ready to come to an end, Silas offered to stay with us longer to ensure we got to experince all of the VIP privileges, thus he worked an extra 2 hours!!
We highly highly recommend the VIP tour and especially recommend Silas. You will not be disappointed.

Park very disappointing. Outages on many attractions (Mario stopped altogether, Harry Potter stopped in the middle of the attraction, Mummy closed in the afternoon due to a technical problem, ...)
The Park is very small.
It's really expensive for what it is compared to European parks. Much worse for example than Futuroscope or Parc Asterix.
As for the visit of the studios, it is just a small train with a soundtrack that goes around the buildings of which we see almost nothing except exterior sets and 3 modestly animated scenes.
The Transformers attraction is well made even if it is short. Simpson attraction is nice, very immersive.
In any case, we make a rapido tour of all this in a small day without priority passes (useless), although Universal will do everything to sell you some, as well as an extra charge to enter the Park earlier... while only the Mario attraction opens, when it is not out of order!

Saved hours of time for our family. So quick. Most rides we were straight on with only minutes waiy time. Having only one day at the park it was definitely worth it for us.

There is little to add about this theme park. Spectacular and in my opinion really ale the ticket money (obviously high). Organized very well, starting from the parking lots (which I honestly found expensive, starting at $35) to all the attractions inside (from Harry Potter to Transformers, from Jurassic Park to The Simpsons etc.). which really are amazing, with really breathtaking effects. Very interesting and nice tour between the various sets where many masterpieces of the past were shot and where something is still shot. In my opinion it is a must-see if you visit Los Angeles

This year was the first time in 20 years that I have come to Universal Studios. It was highly recommended by family and friends and I was not disappointed.
It is definitely a place to visit with guests and out-of-town families, but it also can be enjoyable for us locals. I liked the new-to-me rides as well as once again going on the studio tour. The food offerings are not bad at all and yes, it does feel that Universal Hollywood is probably gearing up for some new positive changes over the next couple of years. Their CityWalk is not as good as it once was and it is common knowledge that the many Simpson's themed choices will soon be a thing of the past. But there is still much to see and do and it was nice to pay a more reasonable admission price as well as get a 2 days for the price of one deal! I'll be back for sure.

The VIP Experience was awesome! Our tour guide, Donna, took us through the whole park and we loved the mix of seeing movie magic combined with our favourite movies turned into rides! And the express system was worth the price on its own…it was 40 degrees when we visited so NOT queuing for long was perfect. Lastly, having lunch in a bespoke air conditioned venue provided a nice break in the day…lots of pictures, fabulous memories….whats not to love?!?!

If you have done universal studios Orlando you will be disappointed here. Its very small . On the mumny ride lots broken , harry potter ride bits broken . Went to get pretzels twice and none available . Super Nintendo world is so cramped. The park was packed i cant understand why none ready got told come back in 10 minutes. I wouldn’t rush to come back here . Needs more rides . Only good thing was the tour and water world show

Interesting Attraction, much publicized, but not exactly satisfactory in the quality / price ratio (very expensive!).
Honestly, compared to Disney World in Orlando, it should have a higher gear, even if the attractions are very beautiful and bring you back to the scenes of so many movies seen.
Inside the merchandising is very expensive, as are the parking lots.
Certainly to see, but it could do more!

I did not ride any rides because of your restrictions I could not go through experiences for the rides the ride personally kept telling me no or get on an elevator I was in a scooter I feel it is not meant for anyone with disabilities I did ride a tram. I wish I could be refunded for that and the haunted houses because I ended up going to the hospital and paid for the tickets for that night too.

My only complaint is that the games last a very short time.
Here's my recommendation, first Disney California Adventure, second Universal and finally Disneyland.
We, my husband and my 10-year-old daughter and I really liked it!
We just couldn't get on the attractions of Jurassic Park, seeeee, how sad! But we left them until the end especially when you get wet, and when we left Mario's land we were already surrendered!
I recommend them much, less crowded than Disney, you easily find where to eat and especially where to sit down to eat or rest for a while!
I'm a Harry Potter fan and well... I came out happy! I bought everything, I just missed going out with a Hedwig cage! Yes, here we went crazy and decided to buy things at once instead of waiting until the end and had to load them all or the day! And get on the rides with them or flat out keep them in a locker or in our case, Dad will take care of them.
Keep going! All the attractions are worth it, just Pets and Mario Kart got too long lines for what is and lasts the game!

The studios with the huge grounds are already impressive. What is highly recommended would be the guided studio tour - very informative and interesting! No matter what you take as your personal favorite - everyone should get their money's worth here - whether it's a dinosaur fan or a Harry Potter trailer - whether it's a Simpson fan or a fast-and-furious adrenaline junkie - there's something for everyone. The whole thing isn't exactly cheap in terms of food, merchandising etc., but you don't do it every day, do you?

We weren’t going to go to Universal on our trip but decided at the last minute to go. Less than $400 for 2 adults and 2 kids to visit the park for 2 days seemed like a bargain we couldn’t miss. On the first day we had early entry and made the most of Super Nintendo World, by the end of the day only the Waterworld show and The Secret Life of Pets were not ticked off our list, but we had been on other rides multiple times. The second day was a bit busier but we ticked off the 2 attractions we had missed and managed to find our way onto every ride and had photons with quite a few characters.
A great day was had by all and would highly recommend anyone visiting.

Dear Universal Studios Hollywood Team,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment with this year’s Halloween Horror Nights event. As a loyal visitor for 17 consecutive years, attending with my dedicated group and always opting for the RIP package, my expectations for your event have grown with each incredible experience you previously offered. Over the years, we have traveled a significant distance to be part of this special event, and it breaks my heart to see how the experience has continually declined, especially this year.
One of the most significant changes we've noticed is the shift in the quality and attentiveness of the RIP tour guides. Years ago, we had a tour guide with us for most of the night, making sure we had an experience tailored to our preferences, asking about specific attractions or areas we wanted to see, especially in the backlot. Unfortunately, this year, it felt like our tour guide could not wait to get rid of us, and there was no genuine effort to personalize our experience.
Speaking of the backlot, it used to be one of the highlights of Halloween Horror Nights. We would be dropped off in atmospheric areas like the Western set or Amity, fully transformed with haunting lighting, sound, and actors, creating an unforgettable Halloween ambiance. This year, not only was there no such haunting atmosphere, but we didn’t even receive a backlot tour at all.
Moreover, the perks that came with the RIP lanyards, which added great value to our tickets, are now completely gone. Previously, the lanyards offered discounts on food, drink, and merchandise, and even a couple of complimentary drinks at the bar, all of which have been taken away. This year, despite paying nearly $500 per ticket, we did not receive a single discount, let alone any complimentary drinks. This removal of benefits is disheartening, especially when we are paying more each year while receiving less in return.
In the past, the entire park was transformed into a haunting experience, with scare zones throughout the upper and lower lots, giving the entire park a chilling Halloween atmosphere. This year, there were only a couple of underwhelming scare zones in the upper lot, sparsely decorated, with very few scare actors present. The lower lot, which used to host elaborate setups like the incredible Silent Hill scare zone with its iconic nurses and stilt walkers, was left entirely untouched and uninspired.
In addition, the amenities for RIP guests have significantly declined. The small bar on the lower lot that offered a much-needed break for drinks or rest has disappeared, and the lounge access, which we used to rely on for relaxation during the night, was only available during odd hours—early in the evening before we had even begun, and after 11 PM when much of the event was already over. This lack of access to the lounge defeated the purpose of its existence and forced us to buy refreshments that had previously been included in our package.
The RIP lounge itself used to be a memorable part of the experience. It was decorated and haunted, complete with actors who would entertain us. I fondly remember eerie scenes, such as girls lying in caskets, actors with horses, and figures standing by coffins or spooky props that we could interact with and take photos with. These elements made us feel immersed in the Halloween atmosphere even during breaks. This year, however, there wasn’t a single prop in the lounge—nothing for us to photograph, interact with, or enjoy. It felt stripped of the spirit and importance that once made it a highlight of the night.
The quality of the shows has also diminished over the years. You seem to be relying on outdated properties like The Purge and Chucky, and while I was grateful to see the Jabbawockeez finally replaced, the Chucky show was, at best, disappointing, even worse than last year’s M3GAN performance. These "shows" were nothing more than short interruptions, without the engaging, cohesive storytelling we used to expect. We couldn't even enter the Chucky show with a cup of coffee we had just purchased, which felt like a needless obstacle for RIP members who are paying for a premium experience.
There was a time when we felt valued as returning RIP guests. We would receive collectible brochures and park maps—little tokens that added to the magic of the experience. Even those have vanished. The RIP lounge, once stocked with snacks and sodas for us while we waited for our tour guide, now stands empty.
One of my most cherished memories is witnessing my best friend's proposal to his now-wife during Halloween Horror Nights while we were RIP members. The event was once so special that it became a setting for life’s most important moments. But after this year, it feels like Universal is no longer interested in maintaining that magic for long-time fans like us. It’s clear you are now catering to a new audience—one that has not experienced the incredible events of years past and therefore doesn’t have the same expectations. Sadly, my group and I do. We gave Halloween Horror Nights one last chance this year, but it has left us with nothing but heartache and a decision to not return.
We invested time, energy, and considerable money into attending your event year after year, hoping for the incredible memories we once made. But with each cherished aspect taken away—the guide’s personal touch, the haunting backlot, the RIP perks, the immersive decorations—it has become impossible to justify the cost and the disappointment that follows.
Leaving Universal Studios this year, I did not feel like the excited fan who had just spent an exhilarating night filled with scares, laughter, and memories with friends. Instead, I left brokenhearted, realizing that the event I once loved is no longer the same. I hope that Universal can find a way to bring back the passion and effort that made Halloween Horror Nights a truly exceptional experience for those of us who have been so loyal for so long.
Sincerely,
Dusty

We visited Universal Studios Hollywood and had a great time. We did not wait very long in lines for rides and we enjoyed the new Mario Brothers ride. After visiting Disneyland we found Universal was less packed and more relaxed and we did have to line up more than 15 minutes for any ride which was great. Universal is a great place to bring the family and have fun. We always eat at Cletus Chicken Shack which have gluten free options.

My daughter and I just completed a RIP tour for the third time ( first was Universal Florida) and second/ third were Universal Hollywood. The first two RIP tours were excellent, safe, and amazing experiences. Sadly this time was not such an experience.
Our tour guide was "M". Two members of our group were 15 minutes late - no big deal- but a sign of things to come. We started with the buffet. After the buffet the same these same two were 15 minutes late again- showing up with big cans of beer and reeking of marijuana.
During the tour, these two individuals were visibly drunk/ high and began harassing others in the group- as well as scare actors and generally ruining the experience for the rest of the group. At one point members of our group were sharing that someone was smoking marijuana in the bathroom during one of our early breaks in the tour. This couple then joined the group again, reeking of weed.
Our guide "M" honestly was not a great host and seemed checked out . She was informed of the unsafe couple but they remained until finally removed from our group by security toward the end of the tour- after ruining a majority of the experience of the RIP tour.
We have no plans on doing RIP again- or VIP- which we have done in the past. This was an unsafe and unnecessary bad RIP tour. Our tour was overshadowed by aggressive drunk/ high people that i felt the need to keep my teenage daughter away from.
I didn’t feel like M represented RIP or Universal or HHN very well and allowed the group to be unsafe and not very enjoyable. It felt like she was phoning it in- and even told us they had a cast party the night before and everyone was “tired”.
Probably won’t be back

A very disappointing experience...
The day starts with tickets purchased on the internet (GYG site) refused at the entrance (we found a solution with the service) resolved.
Once in the park, direction studio tower, waiting 5 minutes, great... Visit the scenery... (Hills Valley) Closed to the public... It starts... The tour continues... With 20 minutes to go, the little train breaks down in the western sets... 30 minutes later another train picks us up... (Compensation for the park, 1 fastlane pass for a thrill ride...)
We continue the tour... We're coming to Harry Potter... 30 minutes wait, ride broke down, while we were in line for 45 minutes, no explanation nothing... The ride restarts and breaks down... Finally restarts and once inside, it breaks down in the middle of the circuit. We are in the dark, it restarts 1mn later, but the animations are off... Disappointing experience. Finally meeting with Megatron who speaks a few words of French, it's nice... Finally we use our fastlane for mummies so, instead of waiting 50 minutes, we should wait 10 minutes, finally... In the tail, ride bug and break down... Technicians run everywhere, the ride restarts and breaks down again during the testing phases... We wait 45 minutes (with the fastlane) people leave after 1h30 (classic waiting). Finally, Universal you are good in sets and productions, but leave the rides to the amusement parks...

Universal Studios Hollywood offers a fantastic adventures for all ages. For thrill-seekers, Jurassic World - The Ride is a must, with its heart-racing final drop. The Transformers and The Mummy rides provide the adrenaline rush that any theme park enthusiast will appreciate, while The Walking Dead Attraction is filled with eerie tension. At one point inside, we tripped and fell, only to have a ghostly figure step out of the shadows and offer a hand to help us up—an unexpected blend of fear and humor that made the experience unforgettable.
But for me the highlight of this experience is the Studio Tour, where you get a peek at real film sets and iconic props. You’ll experience famous scenes, such as from Jaws or Fast & Furious, and get to see where movies are filmed.
Dining options are abundant, with themed eateries like drink Butterbeer at Hog’s Head in the Harry Potter world, and eat Luigi’s Pizza or Krusty Burger in the Simpsons area was a delicious treat. While a bit pricey, the food aligns with the immersive experiences of each themed area. The park also offers plenty of souvenir shops, from Hogwarts robes to Jurassic Park T-shirts.
So, Universal Studios Hollywood is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a mix of movie magic, thrilling rides, and family-friendly attractions. It’s well worth a full day’s visit, and with proper planning, you can experience the very best the park has to offer.

The park is fine, but it's small. Nothing to do with Orlando. It lacks experiences like roller coasters. Most of them are virtual. Highlights include the Harry Potter and Super Mario World area.

Our experience started on a high note at Guest Services, thanks to Mustapha Sabih, who left a lasting impression. He made our first visit and my husband's birthday truly unforgettable.
We had an amazing time and were thoroughly impressed by the efficiency of the staffs, the well-managed queues, and the incredible rides.

I went for Harry Potter. AM is available on weekdays.
In 15 minutes I was at Harry's attraction.

Was a brilliant day there’s just not enough time to see it all loved the Simpsons and Harry Potter rides great all round day would definitely go back

Magical, beautiful and amazing! One of the best parks I've ever done. Thank you and we'll be back as soon as we can.

My husband and my 32-year-old son and myself spent the day at Universal Studios. What an amazing experience even as adults… It was magical and I had the best day ever.!!!

We went to Universal Park in October 2024. Me and my husband found the experience with the express very valuable. We got inside the park at 8:45 and went straight to the basin part of the park. We were able to do all the attractions at the expense of the express, even the most “bubbles”, like pets and minions. Worth every penny more. We went on a weekday, a Thursday.

Loved the visit to the park. I recommend it to families with quite large children (5-6 years). Some attractions have minimum sizes.

Great day out. A better way to do all the rides as the tour guide takes u straight to the front of the queue and straight on the ride. The buffet lunch at the moulin rouge restaurant was delicious and all u can eat. Breakfast pastries and coffee included at the start of the tour too

It’s all a bit rushed but the idea is to get u all on every ride and have lunch and be done by 4pm and then u have time on your own after that. But u do have to keep up with the guide as it’s ride after ride.
If you’ve been to Universal Orlando then u may be disappointed with the rides at the park as it’s smaller and there’s far less 2 Harry Potter rides as opposed to 4 in Florida. And a watered down shorter version of The Mummy.
This is a working studio so be mindful that some areas of the studio tour may be closed off for filming. One of the main reasons my partner and I booked these VIPs was to visit and walk around the back to the future courthouse square set, it was going to be one of the highlights of our trip. On the day tho the area was all closed off as they were filming season 2 of the Ted tv show so the tour couldn’t do anywhere near it. We were GUTTED!! Not the tour guides fault at all but just unfortunate that the set happened to be in use that day.

A park in truth quite average, the tour is done in 2h-3h, more decor (well done) than attraction, special mention still for the mario decor and Harry potter, on the other hand the kart attraction of mario could really and easily have been better, the attraction simpson... you are just shaken, we could be nicer with this park if it was not 120€ (even if the ticket is basic at 100€)

We had the most amazing experience here! We splurged and booked the VIP tour and it was worth every penny from the second you pull up. We got free Valet parking so no walking forever or dealing with crowds. We made our way to the VIP check in lounge where we were greeted very kindly and led up to a beautiful VIP lounge where they had a bunch of breakfast options and nice waiting area as we waited for our guide to take us on the tour. Special shout out to Sara who was spectacular! She was very knowledgeable and kind. She took us around the park like a champ. No lines anywhere. We went straight to the front at every single one. The special access on the tram was awesome too. We then headed to lunch which was phenomenal. It was a buffet with tons of options. Another cool feature was that they had characters walk around each table and chat with the kids. So smart! Our girls loved it. This is the only way to do Universal. They make you feel like a true VIP. Again, thank you to our guide Sara, she really was amazing!

Overpriced and super long fjle of 1 or 2 hours in the end it's just not worth it
Unfortunately in LA there is nothing else to see.
We could stay in Italy and save a lot of money

We purchased the RIP tickets, and while our Tour Guide Zach was amazing. The experience in the houses was absolutely terrible. We were rushed through by staff at every turn prohibiting us from being able to enjoy the houses at all.
When I reached out to Universal about it they basically said “too bad” I have been taking my kids to these houses for years and we will probably never return again. For over $2000 I don’t think we should be yelled at to “keep moving” when there was literally nowhere to go without running into the person in front of you.
Don’t waste your money, the local haunted houses are a better bargain!

They told my son with Autism they had no special accommodations for him because all the mazes were accessible to all. Meaning, you have to pay for your memeber with disability and friends for Express pass to get special accommodations like less waiting in line. Otherwise expect 60 to 100+ minute wait line. The IBCCES Access App is worthless. Means nothing here. Again, because all the mazes are "accessible".

We purchased tickets prior to getting too Universal but upon entry spoke with a VIP representative who encouraged us to do the VIP tour. Yes, it was costly but as it was a cold wet day, we spend time inside out of weather with breakfast and drinks, warm room for VIP guest only prior to park opening.
We had an amazing tour guide named Michael who showed as around all day. You skip all the waiting in lines with the VIP access for the rides. Saved a lot of time. Michael is extremely friendly, very loved by his colleagues as he was like a celebrity on our tour. He was happy to hold bags etc. whilst we went on the rides.
The behind-the-scenes tour which is included in the package was great as you get to go into the sound studios etc. that other guests do not get to do or see. It was great.
You get a buffet lunch which was amazing, raincoats, lanyard, incredible guide. After tour you can use your pass to still get access to the VIP rides etc. again without any wait times.
Highly recommend if you can afford it but not everyone has that money, once in a lifetime activity for us so we splurged and done it.

Awful, tacky, expensive, crowded place. My husband booked this as part of our California holiday. We’d been to see the sets at Warner Bros the day before, which was great. This is just hell on earth for me. I am 54, menopausal with arthritis in my neck. Couldn’t go on majority of rides. If he had told me this was mainly rides, I’d have had a day by the pool at our hotel. Boiling hot, crowded, people just walking into you. This place represents the worst of American excess. I’ve loved the west coast but this is just hot and tacky and annoying. Avoid like hell if you do t like tides or crowds or you suffer from hot flushes!

We were in Universal Studio LA in 13th of July, 2025. Most rides are an image of the plot on a screen with moving seats and effects, like in the 8D movie. I liked all rides, but personally I would like more rides like in "revenge of the mummy", it is more like a roller coaster. I liked the darkness, the sharpness, and the backward movement. Can be a little scary for kids.
You can download an Universal Studio LA app that helps you keep track of queue times for each ride and show time. It is better to create a schedule based on the shows. I liked the Waterworld and also Harry Potter shows with fireworks in the evening.
We were there in July, on Sunday, so fast track (valid only once for each slide) helped us a lot to enjoy and save time. First, we went through the entire lower lot, then the upper lot. At the end of the day, we returned to the lower lot and rode mummy almost until closing time.

We love Universal Hollywood in every way possible. Not as crowded as Orlando, and better spaced out. The rides and then the studio tour are both exceptional.

This park defo needs some new up to date attraction for the money it’s making come on get it together and invest in some new attractions. Very outdated compared to Florida. Fast pass was needed even on a quiet day otherwise we wouldn’t have had time to do all the attractions. with 50 minute wait on most minimum. Expensive day out for a family of five and the shops are so over priced my son brought a dinosaur from the jurassic rebirth range 94 dollars only to find out in target exact same one is 43 dollars disgusting expect to pay more in the theme park but double come of it.

Everything goes smoothly. Great rides and effects!
The Express Pass is worth every cent!
We will come back!

Absolutely fantastic
Small enough to do 10am till 60m with hardly any queues in September. Decent food. Clean toilets, friendly staff - easy to get around - highly recommend!

A huge park dedicated to attractions related to mythical movies the mummy, harry potter village, minions, simpsons everything passes there was a magical day under the California sun plus the visit to the movie studios which lasts an hour by small train and which gives you access to examples of live shooting and with virtual reality glasses as if you were there / Certainly many shops related to the themes of the different attractions as at Disney park everything is a little expensive a bottle of water 25cl 7 dollars so it is very expensive. Whether you're young or old, we have fun and have a great day.

Visit here regularly and always have an amazing time in the park. We headed straight down to bottom lot for Super Mario, Jurassic Park and Transformers. Then we headed to the studio tour tram ride. Unfortunately some of the sights were restricted from view due to Halloween Horror nights. Also we cannot believe the Fast and furious tunnel is no longer part of tour. We still had a great time

VERY DISAPPOINTED in this visit to Universal Studios Hollywood and their new "Attractions Access Pass for Guest with Disabilities" is terrible compared to their policy before. Now you have to make an appointment with your doctor/provider and request them to write a letter to Universal Studios stating your disability and why it would benefit you the patient that standing in line affects your health and how it would benefit the patient to not stand in line for long periods of time. Now that isn't easy to do and you would think once they got a letter stating that you shouldn't stand in line for long periods of time that Universal Studios would give you what they use to refer to as a "ADA" pass but that isn't the case.
This must be done within 30 days of your visit to the park and at least 48 hours before your visit. This registration consists of an online application that includes uploading necessary documentation. After doing all of their requirements in terms of completing their paperwork and providing the necessary paperwork via attachments, you most likely will not receive it. I realize over time that Universal Studios "ADA" pass got out of hand and many people abused it.
If you don't get a "ADA" pass and have health issues regarding standing in line your only option if you want to avoid standing in lines up to 2 hours, you will need to buy upgrade to a "fast pass" (that cost about $195 per person). This is in addition to your entrance ticket that you have to buy for a specific date.
The day that we visited it was very busy and most of the wait times were anywhere from 30 minutes - 2 hours depending on the attraction. The "SUPER NINTENDO WORLD" is a crazy wait time. When we were there it was up to nearly 3 hours. NOT WORTH IT! One of my favorite shows "Water World" wasn't as funny as it has been in the past. The performers were nice after the show taking photos with my granddaughter but the character who makes the show is "Deacon" and unfortunately the "Deacon" in this show wasn't funny compared to the other Water World shows I've seen and I would say that I've seen this show at least 10 times.
The customer service wasn't very nice at some of their attractions and gift stores. Not sure if they had to hire summer help who didn't care or something else but a lot of the Universal Studios Hollywood representatives seem to have attitude unfortunately and when you pay nearly $350 per person with a fast pass, you don't want to experience employee's with attitudes. We also didn't see any characters walking around the park like we use to or have some characters like Beetlejuice standing around the main walk path when you enter the park.
The park no longer provides paper maps or paper schedules of the shows. They want you to use your phone to look up the show times and maps to save them money on printing maps/schedules. At least Disney still produces maps/guides for their parks.
Attached are photos I took at Universal Studios that I hope you enjoy. Even though I wouldn't recommend Universal Studios Hollywood if your handicap or need a "ADA" pass, I still enjoy taking photos and don't let these photos give you the impression that our family had a good experience. Unfortunately they left us with a horrible memory and I know that isn't what they should be aiming at.

I had a great time at Universal Studios Hollywood. The Studio Tour and 3D rides like Harry Potter were amazing. The park was crowded and food pricey, but overall it was a fun and memorable day.

My 2nd time going but first with my kids. Despite it being summer time, we were able to get onto almost every ride with the exception of maybe 3? The whole family had a great time. We got the Simpsons Donut which was actually a lot better than I had initially anticipated. We also saw so many characters. I definitely recommend for families!

The park is spectacular. We bought the pass to furar queue and highly recommend. This way you take much more advantage of the park. Very organized.

Fun for all ages. My 8 year old loved Super Mario World. We both enjoyed meeting Transformers and their 3D ride-epic ride. There’s fun for people at all ages and levels from roller coaster type rides to more mild ones for younger kids.
Lines are long so wear comfortable shoes!

A beautiful day in a theme park.
It has multi-storey paid parking, numerous restaurants inside and shops of all kinds. The attractions speak for themselves, but for me it is impossible not to do the studio tour. However, it is essential to plan the lines well and if possible avoid holidays and weekends (we stayed on Monday and in any case we could not do everything).

Used the Buy 1, Get a Free 2nd Visit on the 4th of July and it was 100x better than the first visit in June.
We stayed about 15 minutes away near dodger stadium and drove in. Got to the parking around 8am and only waited 10 minutes to pay and park. Was at security by 8:30 and in the park right at 9. Busted down the doors and headed in.
Tips:
1. Start at the Simpsons. There was no single rider last time so we started there to be sure. It was so good! Sign said 20 minutes but there was a 4 minute total wait. The ride was my 3rd favorite.
2. Then head to Mummy Returns. We had no wait either. The BEST RIDE in the park as far as the action. #2 favorite ride.
3. Grab a quick snack and get in line for Transformers. This was my #4 favorite ride. It opens at 10 so you’ll get right on. It was OK. It is 3D and since I’m blink in one eye, the special effects didn’t work all that well for me. Still great though.
4. Then head to Harry Potter. There are two rides. The outdoor rollercoaster might be the worst ride at the park. No single riders. Usually super long waits. And the ride lasts 2 minutes max.
The Harry Potter Forbidden Journey is the best ride in the park in my opinion. If you want to see all the cool things wait in the lines because the stuff in the lines is actually really cool. Once you’ve done that, then do the single rider 10 more times. No wait to do that.
The lockers are free for I believe two hours right outside the ride since you can’t bring anything one.
Finally we did the studio tour again. It was completely different this time and still super cool. Just because you’ve done it once doesn’t mean you’ll see the same things.

This was my son’s first visit to Universal and he loved it. My son loves theme parks and all the rides so it’s a new brainer that we visit them every few years as he grows. Below are some tips which might be useful.
1. This is not a huge park. You can easily cover it in a day. We got the Unlimited express Universal pass and it was completely worth it. My son did each ride multiple times and the number of times he did some rides was in double digits.
2. If you get a large/medium bag pack then you might have to rent a locker or alternatively use the child swap area and let some person hold on to the bag pack while the other ride and swap.
3. There is a huge water play area so get some extra clothes for kids if they want to cool off in the afternoon there. I regret not getting one. You can also get wet in the Jurassic ride.
4. Most of the thrill rides are in the lower lot but the best ride (Harry potter) is in upper lot. With the express ticket it didn’t matter but without it I would recommend go to lower lot and get that done and then come back up
5. I wouldn’t recommend paying for preferred or in front of the park extra parking cost. General parking should be sufficient. It’s maybe a 10-15 minute walk to reach park
6. I wouldn’t recommend paying for early access to Mario land. The Mario browser was an ok ride. We didn’t even repeat it.
7. They allowed outside food. Carry some snacks and water bottles if you want to save from paying the exorbitant prices in there of those inside.
Overall, it’s not a huge park so you should be able to get through all the rides in an entire day easily. We were done with all rides with express pass by 2:00 p.m and them spent till 7:30 pm repeating the rides we liked the most multiple times.

An amazing day out! Worth the money spent! Great difference in areas and the back lot tour was amazing! A must see in Hollywood!!

This is the worst experience I have ever experienced at a park.. I am disabled woman and I had to pay for my own wheelchair when the park was supposed to accommodate.. I cried three times because the rides were so small I couldn't even fit in them I was humiliated multiple times by staff and just telling me I can't fit they should accommodate everybody and every size. This is the worst experience I've ever experienced at a park Disneyland was by far the best park I've ever been to they accommodate for everybody and everyone is able to ride on the rides.. and we paid a lot of money a lot of money to be treated with such disgust from the park from staff and being humiliated..

Did this tour with our 9 year old and it was awesome! Our tour guide Donald was great and enjoyed all the features. The bottled water and small pastry/fruit breakfast. We did tour at 10:30. We hit traffic but wished we would have had more time prior, so try and arrive early and use the valet parking to get it credited! We did the studio tour first, which was interesting but we had done WB the day before so it felt kinda repetitive. We were able to hit every single ride and it was 100 degrees when we went so not waiting outside was awesome. But I only remember going through one secret door, rest were just express lane. I think unless you really love back lot tours (or want to do Mario Kart ride which is why we did it) I might would only do express lane next time and save some money. Lunch was a buffet and had a ton of choices, enjoyed that break!

Love the new Nintendo World! Overall the park was great but lines were a bit long. The Nintendo ride took us 1.5 hrs. Might be worth getting the express pass if you are really into rides. Free small lockers for rides are great. Staff were good.

This was absolutely AMAZING! I loved the Harry Potter rides. I must tell you, this was the most unforgettable experience of my life! Be sure to take a friend, doing this alone would be less interesting, in my opinion. It is a bit pricey, but totally worth it! I'll come again! 5/5 stars.

There is expensive. Especially food court. Also very few options for foods.
Looking better options in california. At least cheaper ones.

It's an amazing place lots of fun attractions. The hour long tram tour through the studios and back lot is my favorite it alone is worth trip alone...

It is sad to see the "animal actors" show gone. Information abut the movie making has been replaced by joy rides. The Backlot tour has become an afterthought.

Really enjoyed the park. Most of the rides were fun. Some of the rides can use an overhaul (minions and simpsons).
Wish the park had more rollercoasters (can't wait for F&F coaster).
Some staff members weren't overly friendly (at the popcorn stands)
The Studio tour was cool.
The Mario area is meh. The theme is nice, the ride is okay, but the upcharge on some mini games is outrageous.
Would be nice if the stores were open longer after park hours so you can shop without being rushed.

It was a very nice experience, both for children and adults. Of course, the VIP pass costs a lot but it is definitely worth it, without you would risk doing little and with so much stress. We “jumped” the lines with disarming ease!
The tour with the guide maybe a little long, lunch included with delicious desserts! The only drawbacks, it stuck the raptor attraction for several endless minutes uphill and was becoming quite annoying. In addition, the Harry Potter attraction also came to a standstill shortly after.
Still nice to do.

From thrilling rides and shows to a real working movie studio, this theme park has something for everyone. The Studio Tour is a highlight, providing a behind-the-scenes look at iconic movie sets and special effects. The park's attractions, such as the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Jurassic World, are immersive and well-designed, making you feel like you're part of the action.

Fun! I tried everything and the Big Homers pink donut is Yummy but the duff is just a soda BUT EVERYONE IS SO NICE, PS some of the rides can make you dizzy and throw up.

I have not been to Universal in 30 years. I got a gold pass for myself and the Costco annual passes for my husband and two kids. We live in Southern California and this was a year of fun versus one day at Disneyland. We just had our first visit. I wanted to write a review about the things I look for in reviews. I always want to know where I can refill my water. Water fountains in park only. The only water bottle filling station I saw was in the locker storage room in the City Walk area outside the park. Nice setup with bathrooms and water bottle filling station and lockers. We paid $12 for the day to store our lunch cooler and jackets. We decided next time we will just leave it in the car because it is not too much farther from City Walk. We also bought the freestyle cup and just refilled it all day and got water that way when we needed. Great way to have drinks on hand all day.
Lastly, about the backpacks. The Harry Potter ride for example does not allow backpacks because the restraint comes down and there is no place for the bag on your back. They offer small free lockers while you ride the ride but if you have a backpack like us you have to pay the $5 to store it that you don't get back. Bummer. Next time we will bring fanny packs only which were okay and stick our Freestyle drink cup in the free locker while we ride. Food was reasonable. Not any worse than fast food prices for our family of four these days. Especially with the gold pass discount. Next time we plan to stick some pretzels and snacks in our fanny packs and eat in the park and have some food in the car in case we want some more options from home. It was a great fun day. We are glad we have passes because it was a lot to do in one day!

Two 50-something adults went in October, so we were able to do the Hollywood Halloween event Friday night and do the regular theme park on Saturday and have a good time -even without kids.
We were able to do almost everything at the main park in one day. Walked about 7 miles. I think Fall is a good time to go, because it is not crazy hot. There were still a lot of people, but I imagine that summer is ever more crowded. Many of the guests were in constumes due to the Halloween event each night.
Food is expensive, but that’s to be expected, I guess. They had some vegan options: garden burgers, vegan meatloaf and mash potatoes, etc.
The Mummy, Transformers, Jurassic Park (water ride = get wet), Bowser and Harry Potter rides were great, but 60-90m wait if you don’t have the express pass. Super Nintendo World is cute, but mostly for kids. They have a $40 bracelet you can buy there to earn gold coins (points) like a scavenger hunt and try to get a top score. We did not opt for this.
I think the way to go is to buy the early entry add-on pass (an extra $20). It gets you into Nintendo World at 8am (even 7:45am) instead of 9am. You can go see Nintendo land and do the Bowser ride at the far end of the park. Then, you can hit all the top rides while the park is still mostly empty -maybe a 10m wait. Go fast before the park fills up!
If you can’t get there early and/or if you want to do all the big rides at least twice, you are going to be waiting a lot. However, for $200-250 each person, you can get the express pass and basically skip the line once for each ride. It was worth it for us, but it is a cost.
All in all, had a great time. Stayed close by at the Sheridan Hotel. You can book just about everying online as a package deal.

Universal Studios is an amazing mix of thrilling rides, movie magic, and great entertainment—perfect for families and fans alike!

Enjoyed our day at Universal studios. Only downside was that all the horrow rides were closed for special hallowen nights. We were visiting from the uk. So do not feel this was fair or value for money.

The food sucked. It took so long. It was overpriced for the lack of staff that are here. It took over 30 minutes to get our food.

Fabulous day at universal, I have to say the express pass was fantastic, really made everything far easier to navigate the park in a day!

This was the best experience! I highly recommend this to anyone thinking about getting tickets for a day at Universal Studios. Our guide Ursula was so knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful!! Ursula made the day go very smoothly in a very crowded park. The VIP experience helped us go to the head of every line and we were able to get right on a car to enjoy the rides without the very long waits. We had a wonderful breakfast and lunch that was provided to us so we were able to avoid long food lines and we had a clean environment to eat comfortably with air conditioning and bottled water along with an assortment of beverages offered to us. We would do this option again if we return to the Park and will recommend this to our family and friends!

We enjoyed the Express Pass that helped save time and we were able to get on ALL the Rides and see everything in one day. The Harry Potter Ride was excellent, and it was just a great time all the way around.

This is my family‘s first trip out to Universal Studios, Hollywood me and my wife and our two younger boys nine and 14 years of age. Park was clean organized and fun. We spent 2 1/2 days there total would recommend for any families looking for fun to spend before your kids Grow older. FooD was great and the lines weren’t too bad for rides, I do recommend a fast pass if in the budget.

A must for us every time we are in LA. The last time we went to the park was in 2018. This time the main reason for our trip was the horror nights we never did in Hollywood. On Saturday we were in the park during the day with express tickets. Pets was new to us- we found hearty and amusing. Without express, we would have had to queue here for an hour. Mariokart exactly the same. Since we know it from Florida, how tired such a day in the park makes (a lot of running!), we went to the Horror Nights on Sunday evening again with Express and Early Access. We recommend the Express Passes again and again. We know the price is very high but you are going to have fun and spend a nice holiday☺️ everything we liked very, very much. The Terror Tram we just found hammer, therefore made 2x 👻
As horror freaks we were not disappointed! Incredibly great evening!!!! 👻☠️🎃 fast service at the drinking food stands. Not like Europapark😉 I would come every year if I had the opportunity *Work

a fairly accessible park and not very large. the experience was very positive, although I would update the circular route by studies and part of the Jurassic Park Attraction. the Attraction of harry potter is fantastic and that of mario bross great thematic but improveable what is the Attraction

Overall we (2 adults and 2 children -17&12) had a great time. We went on a Friday so was quieter but I still paid for the express pass and paid for one hour before opening for Super Nintendo land.
Now there are some great ride but for some if I had to wait more than 10 mins I would have been annoyed as they were not the best. So the express passes really helped. Also meant we had done almost all the rides by 1pm and were able to go on rides again.
Best rides were the revenge of the mummy and Harry Potter forbidden journey. All other rides were movie animations and moving seats. The worst ride was the flight of the hippograff, if I had to queue I would have asked for the time back, it was literally 2 mins and only went round once.
What annoyed me was
1. I paid for Super Nintendo world to go early, there is only one ride - otherwise you have to buy wristbands which is a joke. While we could pay I am sure there are many who wouldn’t not be able to afford and therefore that one hour extra was pointless
2. Lockers - now for small items it’s free however most people have bags with snack/drinks etc. so big - even my handbag was too big for the small lockers. So we had to pay £5 - I’ve been to many theme parks around the world and normally you can just leave it on the side while you ride.
3. Food provisions - for the current environment the vegetarian options were awful! In fact there were none to little! I was really disappointed. What we did buy was not the best as expected.
4. Parking - ranged from $35-120 - which is different from what is on the website. we paid for preferred parking at $60 as it was still close.
Overall we had a really nice day but could have been better as the additional pardons for tourist traveling from outside USA can be alot.

Before I go any further, yes the VIP package is expensive, even more so when you convert from Australian dollars. But is it worth it? In my opinion, absolutely!
We were travelling with a family of 5, so our party made up the majority of our VIP group.
We checked in, and were able to grab breakfast from an assortment of pastries, yoghurt and sandwiches. We then met the amazing Laura, our tour guide who gave us a run down on every ride as we had a couple of nervous riders in our group. She also skipped us to the front of the queue for all of the rides, which was well worth it when some of the rides had a 2 hour wait time.
The VIP package also included a delicious buffet lunch, and exclusive access some of the sets on the studio tour.
If you only have one day at Universal at a busy time of year, I would highly recommend the VIP package

The truth is that it is a park that does things very well since it constantly renews attractions that are outdated and integrating new the reality is that all attractions are fun and you have a good time. I wish there were more food options and that the person was kinder.

It’s a small theme park. We got there at 10:00 am and had done everything by 3:30 pm. So not worth the $1600 price tag for five people. Studio tour was a huge disappointment. Much of it was blocked off due to filming. What we did see was just cheesey theme park “sets”. Skip Universal Hollywood and go to Orlando. It’s so much better.

We had a great day out, spending the whole day here, morning to evening. There are some crazy rides, but also some regular rides and shows

Do NOT go to universal studios especially with kids stay away
I will start by saying as a kid i had annual passes
I loved going and while King Kong was scary the rest was fun. Employees were nice and there were nice shows and attractions
So now that our kids are a bit older we decided to buy annual passes, since we live so close. We should have bought a 1 day pass 1st. The place is GROSS
the employees are rude too!
There are 0 family friendly shows
Water world is a very violent and gruesome show that has given my kids nightmares. At least one character is murdered during the show and it feels super real. Others are punched and socked and it is scary. Worst of all they don’t stop you from bringing your kids to this show or even warn you.
They took away blues brothers and the aninal show they had from years ago
The rides are NOT designed for families. Other theme parks accommodate for 2 kids per adult sitting together but not universal! Which leads to your child sitting with a stranger who is potentially unsafe. They are not willing to accommodate a request for the seat next to your child being empty.
The Harry Potter wand show: This left my kid SOBBING. Before entering I asked if it’s a live show and was told yes. it was a 30 minute wait.
Oncewe got in they took us to a dark room with about 20 people. There was a man in a wizard costume that picked my kid. The “show”
Was him handing her wands and her “testing” them. At the end he asked her to call forward her family. She was told how lucky she was to be selected and given a 5 minute speech on how lucky she was (her siblings were told they might get lucky next time) and all the cool things the wand can do while the employees held the wand. It appeared she won it. But at the end tbey said it costs $60!!!!! Since we weren’t buying it my kid was devastated , she thought she won it. (It was not worth it for us, she is not even a Harry Potter fan!)
Also, they don’t accommodate disabilities.
Now for the famous studio tour ride.
Since I have sensitive kids I asked the employees at the entrance to the ride if it’s scary and what parts are more intense so I can prepare my kids. They said NOTHINg on it is scary. So I said hey I remember King Kong being kind of scary. They answered no they changed it and it’s different now and it’s not scary.
This was very very far from true. They changed it and made it 20 times scarier. It’s a 3d experience with dinosaurs and King Kong and honestly even I was scared.
My kids were panicking.
And the tour is 60 min it’s very long for kids.
The place is also dirty. The bathrooms are overcrowded and while I saw attendants in them they were gross and dirty.
It also feels very scammy. Everything costs extra from a band to play in their Nintendo world to the wand. One example is the employees standing around can’t answer questions about which way things are because they’re there to sell credit cards! My husband even bought a refillable soda cup for I think $20 and when he went to refill it about 1.5 hours later he was told 2.5 more hours have to pass before his refill!!!
All in all I would say don’t go here. It’s a waste of money. Even for teens/adults overpriced for the very few rides and attractions they offer.
There are much nicer and cleaner things to do in LA.

A very nice day in this park. We went there on a Tuesday in September and without the wire cutter. We never waited very long.
The scenery is extraordinary. I loved The Mummy and Jurassic World. On the other hand, the Mario Attraction is ridiculous. More waiting than elsewhere for an ultra-zero Attraction.
It is an exaggeration to charge 35 euros for parking in view of the Award of entrance tickets.

absolutely terrible start to finish - aggressive tour guide, screaming telling making horrible side comments, very passive aggressive throughout the entirety of the experience, left no time at all for personal exploration or enjoyment no opportunities for questions or conversations it was truly such a terrible experience I would have enjoyed myself much more on my own in the park for sure

We had done the Florida Universal Parks and we thought we would find the same level here but not at all.
I had not taken the tickets on the internet before the beginning of our trip because we were not totally sure of the day we would go. I looked on the internet if there was to indicate anywhere that the Awards were different on the spot, but I couldn't find anything. OH great surprise when arriving to buy tickets on site... there is $30 more per ticket than buying online ($159 instead of $129 per person).
- For parking do not take anything other than the general parking... which is already at 35$. it is really not far, 15 min walking quietly
- on site you have 12 attractions and many are made for young children so no sensation. They wanted to sell me the express pass to avoid the queues by adding $90 per ticket and fortunately I didn't take it because we made max 30 min of queue.. we were luckier than previous reviews on this point.
- when you go on the app you have a list 2 to 3 times larger on the food stalls than attractions and as in any park the Awards are exaggerated. Already considering the Award of admission we skipped the meal.
- I took the photo pass (60$ tax included) as for the universal parks of florida because I thought there were more attractions and photo spots with the characters... and again big disappointment. 4 attractions offer the photo and for characters outside mario you only had the cute ones where we saw a photographer from the park.
The only positives I give to the park that we didn't have in Florida are the waterworld show and the studio tour (studio tour and set design)... but that doesn't justify spending almost $400 for two people without meals.
We did not make the park disneyland , but generally the parks disney are all of an equal level and so inquire more for this one than Universal.

The skip the line was amazing. We had limited time to visit the park and wanted to maximize our experience. We had 7 hours and were able to ride every ride and experience every sit down show with time to spare. It was well worth the added expense and helped create memories that will last a lifetime. I only wish that we would have just gone for the full VIP experience. Maybe next time.

We had the best day on this package. Our tour guide was amazing, so knowledgeable and with a great sense of humour. The day ran so smoothly. We did everything we wanted to do at least once. Saw the show and had a great time. Would definitely recommend.

We had so much fun! Great food, fun walk throughs, so movie like! Demetrius was so sweet and helpful. We lost an important ticket and he went out of his way to find it for us. Exceptional customer service! He deserves a raise!

My expectations were much higher... It is all hyped with a very expensive price tag! We used a promotion where you could enter the park for a second day, for free. But one day is enough for all the attractions (8 or 9).
3!! attractions had technical issues which resulted in a longer waiting line...

Admission costs. We paid 133 euros per person. But there's a lot to offer. The entertainment is great. In addition to spectacular, themed rides such as Mario Kart, The Secret Life of Pets, Harry Potter, Jurassic World, The Revenge of the Mummy, the one-hour, interesting studio tour is highly recommended. Admission authorizes you to visit all attractions. The food is not included. There are also many dining options within the paid area (not only in the freely accessible city outside). In summer, the grounds are open from 9am to 9pm. It is worth coming to the opening right away. In the morning (and then again from 5pm) the waiting times are shorter. The longest waiting times are at Mario Kart. The express ticket, which avoids waiting times, is twice as expensive and actually not necessary. We were there on Saturday after 4th of July and waited mostly between 10-20 minutes. Often entertainment is also offered during the waiting time, for example, when you come through different entrance halls.

The best Attraction Park I've ever done! Despite the High Award that if is very quickly profitable by the Attraction and sets. the attraction studio tour is amazing for movie fans!

Universal Studios are not accommodating at all if you are an international visitor with a disabled badge (or placard) as they will not accept your disability badge when parking. This means you either have to park miles away from the entrance and struggle to get out of your vehicle in the narrower spaces or pay extra to park in the preferred spaces. Their excuse is that they don’t see enough visitors from the UK!
Everywhere else in California has accepted my wife’s blue badge without any issues yet the only place that hasn’t has been Universal so we would essentially have to pay for a temporary placard just to park here.
We’ve been to Universal Studios in Orlando numerous times and never had an issue there using my wife’s blue badge. Unfortunately Universal in Hollywood aren’t as accommodating and don’t seem to care about the accessibility needs of all their visitors

We did the tour with Al (Team Moustache) and it was by far the best tour experience we have had whilst in LA. From the minute you arrive you have a great experience. The VIP entry is seperate to general, it has a very nice waiting area with great food and coffee. The tour is very flexible and not rushed. Al had a wealth of knowledge about the place and was very accomodating to the groups needs. We saw everything in the backlot and were allowed out of the cart to walk around, seeing things up close. Afterwards he took us to some of the main rides and attractions where there was no waiting. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Process was smooth, we were wondering how we will get our fast pass but it was handed to us as soon as they scanned the QR code.

We had an amazing time at Universal Studios in Hollywood. The whole experience, from the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, to the Studio Tour, to the amazing rides for all ages, and the convenience of using the Universal Studios app, we had an absolutely wonderful time there. And we can't wait to go again.

"Disappointing experience with the refund policy. Paid for a 2 ticket I couldn't use, but they wouldn't give me a refund. Staff seemed uninterested in helping. Poor customer service.
they said the will give me the refund on 19 oktober 2025 but i did’t get the refund until now

Had a fun day at Universal Studios - a must do when in LA. We stayed in Hollywood so was just a short Uber ride. Got there early and had bought tickets on line so was quick to get in. The Transformer ride was an amazing experience. Also the studio tour, especially the King Kong 3D tunnel, felt like you were in the movie.

If you come to California, it is an experience to try. Attractions like this are hard to find in Italy. Recommended those of transformers and Simpsons
PS: bring your lunch from home

It’s not worth the price, not many attractions, among the little that there are several sounds just simulators .. you queue for an hour for something that lasts 15seconds.
After it is nice the scenery is great etc just it is absolutely not worth the 130€
In the world of simpsons you expect to eat a donut bah you can’t because they only have giant “donuts” that are cakes at once and that cost $10 we don’t care a bit we just want a normal donut that tastes like a donut and not cake.
Fruit cheese that costs $10 next to a pesto dough salad that makes it $4.29?? Logic?
The studio tour that shows us two three things fast don't go crazy, wisteria lane we don't see it? That's why we're here at the base.
Well, it was good but I expected better .. I am disappointed.

Both good and bad IMO. First time back in 25 years.
The negative: Far too many 4D experiences where screens are taking over every aspect of the park. Yes, some neat things can be accomplished using screens (Pet's Life), but it can also be overdone (all the rides).
The park tour was also a major letdown although still enjoyable from a historic perspective. No King Kong, no Backdraft, no avalanche tunnel, etc. One of the tour guides explained the details of a fire, etc. Things happen.
Positive: The character interactions are the highlight. Transformers was amazing. Interacting with Megatran (Hilarious), Bumble Bee, and Optimus Prime was fantastic. The other characters around the park are also very friendly and fun, including the ones just walking around (Dracula, Frankenstein, Beetlejuice, etc). The food is also not terrible, (although ridiculously expensive). Once the new roller coaster is completed, this will help round out the park's "Thrill" aspect.
Universal is a half-day park at best currently. Still worth visiting but plan accordingly.

We had a great experience! Very ADA compliant, and all the staff went out of their way to accommodate our daughter in a wheelchair. very inclusive experience and very well trained stuff. The shows rides and overall experience was excellent.

Highly recommended, I do not facilitate all the activity and do not save much time, very happy the whole family , as my children enjoyed all the activities by the express pass

Great studio tour and park! We really enjoyed it, some negatives were the price of the cheapest parking was $35! And you still have to walk ages to get to the entrance. Also the studio tour didn’t go down Colonial Street, I was so upset this was the reason I wanted to come to Universal was to see the Wisteria Lane set. They were filming so the road was closed. We did really enjoy our day though and the tour was so much fun.

Super nice and very organized guide. Very convenient to be able to do all the attractions and shows in one day.

Our professional guide during the VIP tour was Brian, I greatly appreciated his professionalism and positive attitude during the tour. I was very impressed with the food that was included with the VIP tour, the lunch was particularly delicious with a diverse selection of salads and prime rib fresh seafood and delicious dessert. The coffee served at breakfast was delicious.
The VIP pass allowed us to quickly bypass main lines and in one day we were able to see all the attractions. The park is easy to navigate, we took an Uber , there was a defined Uber drop off and pick up point.

From the valet to entering the VIP breakfast to lunch and all the rides, was an unbelievable experience. In the beginning of the day Adrienne greeted us at breakfast to explain the activities. At first our kids only wanted to go on the rides, and they were NOT interested in sticking with a tour guide. After she took us to water world. This show was unbelievable! Adrienne seemed to really know her stuff. She knew what needed to be done to get us to see all the rides and lunch and the studio tour. So we made the decision to stick with her instead of leaving the group. We were a group of only 5, but had a group of 14 all together. SHE WAS RIGHT ON POINT! we got on all the rides and did everything in the park excluding the kiddie rides. We felt like important VIPs. An experience our family will never forget.

It was exciting and a great first time experience and the lines moved by really fast and easy to follow. Would love to go again and maybe have a Mario go cart race installed?

We had taken the express pass and had not regretted it at all. We were there from 8am so we were able to make some attractions without using the pass so we could do them again in the afternoon. Sure, it's a cost, but no regrets. Top of the line.

Beautiful, exciting and very well organized. In many attractions there are roller coasters or similar. It pays x those who have heart problems or are afraid to always ask since the attractions are never seen from the outside. Beautiful little train that makes the tour of the sets. X save a little ‘better to bring a packed lunch

Entrance price is similar to Disneyland, but you get a lot more at Disneyland. The best bit is the tour of the actual studio. I was a bit shocked at the sales tactics, an example is the wand shop. A very talented actor makes great play at choosing a wand for a bright eyed six year old, and hey presto he presents this wand (which after a great wait has chosen this one lad) magical........then the parents are invited to have a chat to a staff member where I suspect they are told the price. At Disneyland photos taken of you on rides are free, here you are offered special deals. My last gripe is that they ask for photo ID, this meant having to bring our passports and I felt stressed at trying not to lose them. Once I entered Guest relations said that photos of our passports would have sufficed, if this is the case why not tell people? Anyway no one actually asked for a photo ID in the end, instead a fingerprint was taken. So why ask for a photo ID in the blurb? Otherwise the park offers great views and so far the rides are fun, ( we're half way through our day here).

We had two days here as had a free second day on our ticket, although, not really free as park closed early both nights due to the Halloween Party Nights, so for us it was nice to just take our time over the two shorter hour days and do everything, rides, food and shows. The Studio Tour was the highlight for us. The only thing that took over the park in a negative way was the amount of Halloween props, sets and displays that were just out of place in the day.

We enjoyed the rides and atmosphere. Some pros/cons & tips:
-the studio tour is great, about 45 min ride on a tram, plan this for when you feel like taking a break and sitting
-lockers by the rides are free while you are on a ride. We would have brought a backpack with snacks and water if we had known this.
-get there early and go to your favorite rides first thing
-Mario cart had a wait from 80 to 140 min all day, so we didn’t do it. The other rides were less than 80 at some point, and several were much shorter.
-everyone seemed to get really wet on the Jurassic ride
-most of the rides have a 3D motion part, so people who get seasick/dizzy easily might not like them
-most food prices in the park didn’t seem excessive for the location
-you can ask for a free cup of water at most food places without buying anything
-there are water bottle fillers in the park
-the staff were very friendly and helpful
-if you get the app, you can check wait times and find attractions on the map

Very nice amusement park with family rather with teenagers than children.
The park is not very large and is largely done in one day. For those who made Universal in Orlando, the park is not very interesting. There are far fewer attractions and many are identical.
The super Nintendo universe is beautiful but unfortunately there is only one real attraction ( mario kart )
Attractions +: jurassic world, mummy, Harry potter,

We went there is 2023 and had Austin. The greatest tour guide ever!! We are going back this year and yes, We ARE getting him, we are calling up and personally asking for him. Watch out Austin your married couple are back. This time for our 33ed year Anniversary. I couldn't put the real date, so I had to pick any
Tammy and Bert

The ticket is certainly not cheap if you go with your family. We were in pairs and if we could we would go back tomorrow. The tour of the studios is beautiful (available in English and Spanish), the Harry Potter themed area is wonderful. I recommend arriving in the morning at opening hours and immediately queuing up for the top attractions, Harry Potter and Super Nintendo World. We didn't know what to expect from the attractions, they are more or less all similar but the first one (for us Harry Potter) was really crazy and super unexpected. For us, one of the unmissable stops in Los Angeles. Prices within the park for food are decidedly prohibitive, like any other similar park

I went to Universal Studios and there was a lot of food and we were having a lot of fun on the rides. The food was the best because it tasted so good

I wish there was more actual rides and roller coasters and not just 3D rides. It was mainly for kids. Not worth $100+ I liked Jurassic World and the Universal Studios tours the best. Would I go back… probably not unless there were more rides / roller coasters

Universal Studios Hollywood is the only authentic, working movie studio and theme park in the world. Located at 100 Universal City Plaza in Los Angeles, it is more than a retired 85-year-old Chicagoan can cover in two or three days, much less in a few hours, from Universal's world-famous studio tour to thrilling rides and family-friendly attractions. So what are the 10 must-see and can't-miss attractions? First of all, I suggest you decide what you want to do. Is it worth it? A Universal Express Pass costs about $300 and includes everything, including an assurance that your waiting time at each attraction will be only a matter of minutes, not hours. To save the aggravation, an Express Pass is worth every penny. Start with the most popular entertainment experiences of all, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which explores the mysteries of Hogwarts castle, highlights the shops of Hogsmeade and listen to a musical score created by Oscar winning composer John Williams. Then take a ride through Jurassic Park and witness an epic battle between indominus rex and her archrival, Tryannasaurus rex. A fascinating tour of Universal Studio, narrated by Jimmy Fallon, will afford an opportunity to see the working backlot of a real Hollywood movie studio. You'll assume the roles of stray puppies as they join characters from the hit animated film on their quest to find forever homes in the exhibit The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash. Looking for entertainment? Universal CityWalk will provide everything you need with over 30 stores, 30 dining options, six nightclubs, live outdoor entertainment and a 10-screen movie theater. Inspired by the Despicable Me animated movies, Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem is an Ultra-HD movie motion simulator ride for kids; The Simpsons Ride is a virtual reality roller coaster ride through a myriad of animated TV locations. For families, there are numerous entertainment options, including WaterWorld, the park's most popular show. From now through November 4, the park is hosting one of its most popular seasonal events, Halloween Horror Nights, which brings together the stories and visions of the world's most notorious creators of horror. There is so much to see and do and not enough time to see and do it all.

I'm not sure if the VIP tour was worth it. It cost $650 CAD per person. We started with a 2 hour tour of the lot and soundstage and props dept. My kids 7, 11, and 13 found it extremely boring. It honestly was a waste of time when we could have gone on more rides. We couldn't stop and take pictures with any of the characters either. Our tour guide was an older man who was a bit stiff. The best part was the express pass and lunch. But you can get the express pass without the VIP tour. Definitely will not pay for the VIP tour again if we ever go back. Will likely just pay for the express pass. Disappointing that we didn't have enough time to do all the rides because of the nonsense early on in the VIP tour

Nice place but expensive and on the site doesn't write clearly about offer and tickets.we got tickets for priority entry but eventually we entered like other people with normal tickets and for every play we waited a lot of time.

This is not much fun to be during busy times. Be there when park is less busy. Express pass is given priority in seating which is not fair(they should be able to just avoid long lines that’s all). Rides here are similar fashion (3d spill water drops move chairs sync sounds) for minions kunfu panda, harrypotter, simpsons. Transformers, mummy and king kong.
I been to florida universal i felt that has better rides, but that park is very busy and expensive.

Got to see a little more than usual on the studio tour. Unlimited fast track is included, so you don’t need to be in line to the attractions. The guide loses us through the park, so we don't have to knot with maps. Good food and good company are included. Worth the money if you were to spend a small fortune on food and fast track.

It's not Disneyland or other parks sensation level. It's more family friendly but the universes are well marked (Harry Potter, Mario,...) and there will be something for everyone. Visiting the studios is nice to immerse yourself in the world of some movies and series. Come by metro if possible, it will cost you less. Outside the park, a whole area of shops and restaurants will await you.

Universal is amazing defiantly splurge for the express pass if you like to ride rides. Overall great experience and lots to see could do it all in one day if you go at open and stay till close

Universal Studio LA has a huge area covered. We liked the studio tour the best. Most of the rides are catered for the young kids. As we went during Christmas time Harry Potter area was nicely decked up for Christmas. Food options were vast.

Just outstanding from start to finish. Our tour guide Amanda was informative, helpful, and just plain fun! She had the park down to a science and her knowledge of moves, theatre, and tv shows kept me and my two teens interested.
We had a 9:30 tour, but we got there right at 8am as the park opened so the kids could ride some of the more popular rides before the tour began. The VIP check in was easy; they really have things move like a well oiled machine. The VIP lounge was stocked with food and drinks which we took advantage of before meeting up with Amanda at 9:15.
From that point on, it was non stop. The backlot tour and Mario land were the standouts for my family. From the historical aspects of the studios, to the fun gimmicky bits with Norman Bates and the Earthquake simulation, to the front-of-the-line passes for all of the rides, it was all just pure entertainment.
And a HUGE thank you to Amanda and co-tour guide Nic, who managed to find my daughter’s phone when it fell out of her pocket on the backlot tour. Thank you for going above and beyond!
All in all, this was just the perfect way to see this park.

VIP experience was worth every penny! Our guide Ramone went above and beyond! I will be telling all my friends and family to book VIP when they visit Universal Studios

We haven't been since 2018 and a lot has changed since the last time......for the better.
First the amazing things and then the bad/need to improve things:
Pros: The staff/workers are amazing....I mean, better than Disneyland cast members amazing. We have a special needs daughter and they accomodated her and her being in a wheelchair at every spot we went to. Our daughter loves character meet and greets. At other parks, you have to wait in line for a few minutes before they will let her meet the characters. At the other parks, the best they can do is tell you to come back at a certain time, not here!. We rolled up to several character meet n' greets and they let us go to the front. We begged them that we didn't need that, we would just wait in line. We were told several times "do not worry about it, this is who we are". No other patrons had a problem with it and were perfectly fine.
Our daughter has a hard time walking (hence the wheelchair) and going on the escalator was better, our daughter is paranoid of them and to get to Nintendo world you have to go down 4 escalators. We then found that they have a shuttle that will take you down to the bottom and bring you back up. That was nice. The Disability pass is better than Disneyland and no questions asked. I would reccomend getting a doctors note stating the condition that you or your family member suffer from.
Cons: There wasn't really any Cons other than the STUDIO TOUR. I wish they would announce or put up a sign (at least I didn't see a sign), that has a warning of a couple of stops on the tour. Mainly the "King Kong Skull Island 3D" tunnel. Yes, it was amazing, but our daughter has a form of epilepsy and flashing lights and jerky moves are hard on her. Once we exited that attraction the next one was an EARTHQUAKE simulation. This one sent her over the edge and I thought we were going to have problems. As soon as we exited, we informed the narrator that we need to get off ASAP. (THIS IS ANOTHER PRO) So, they stopped the tram and called for a vehicle to come pick us up and would let us get off until the vehicle showed up.....about 2 minutes later. We got off and they took us to where her wheelchair was and our daughter was a lot better, but she did talk about it for a few hours after.
Maybe we should have asked questions prior so that is on us, but it would have been nice for the narrator saying something like "there will be motion and loud noise as well as flashing lights........" etc.
Toadstool Cafe: We paid more for the experience than the food which was good, but not the greatest. They also add a 20% gratuity automatically. The 3 of us ate and we got burgers and spaghetti and drinks and it was $103 and then they added another $20 on top of that.
I wish there were water filling stations (you could at drinking fountains and at the food areas where they have drink machines, but they weren't clearly marked.
But all in all, we had an amazing time and we would reccomend it to anyone.

Mark was a excellent, knowledgeable and personal guide. Je definitely knew everything about the studio and the park. He was even helpful to people not in our group.

This was my third time at Universal Studios in LA, but it had been 10 years since I was last there. This time we wanted to treat ourselves, so we booked VIP tickets. And let me tell you, the tickets were worth it!
When we arrived, we were able to drop off our car (valet parking is included in the ticket price) and get started right away. We didn't have to queue anywhere, had a delicious breakfast and lunch and could ask all our questions to our guide who really took time for us. The tour on the sets was much more detailed than the normal tour you get with a standard ticket. Our guide even took care of our bags and valuables while we visited the roller coasters and attractions. We didn't have to queue anywhere and could go straight to the attractions. For the shows we had reserved seats with optimal visibility. After the guided part, which lasted about 6 hours, we were able to explore the park on our own and were allowed to continue anywhere directly to the front.

We loved the park and rides, truly enjoyed those. However, we were disappointed to see characters attitude towards kids. Scooby, Shrek and Fiona - I assume you are there to interact with kids, not ignore and walk away from them (especially when they run towards you and stop waiting for your reaction, while you simply walk by). Scooby run to a disabled child (ignoring everyone on the way) and stayed with them for ages. Understood, but you need to think that not all disabilities are immediately visible and you actually made an autistic child wonder why he was totally ignored and so small in your eyes! Even if you are busy, it’s not difficult to wave or high-five them if you do need to be elsewhere! Human touch was missing, while we liked the facilities and surely preferred it over Disneyland Paris which is always so crowded!

Oh my goodness where to begin. This experience was amazing. We plan to do it again and spend even more days in the park to really get the full experience that Universal Studios has to offer. Elisa was our tour guide had we loved spending the day with her. My husband is handicapped and used a scooter and she was wonderful making sure she helped us so we didn’t miss a thing. Thanks!

f your intention of visiting Universal Studios is to mainly go on the Studio Tour well at the moment I wouldn’t waste your money ,it took barely 30 minutes today most areas were off limits due to filming ,not movies but streaming tv shows.
The attractions on the tour are so poor the King Kong 3D experience was not working properly as it was stationary throughout.
Also the colours seem very faded and can’t believe the many years this has been an attraction nearly 15 years and I am sure technology has moved on and Jackson hasn’t done much since apart from jumping on The Beatles bandwagon!
And the 3D glasses are either that old they don’t work anymore as with or without didn’t notice any difference.
Nope is not worth mentioning as it’s totally pathetic only fun is watching the blank expressions on people’s faces and such a poor end to the tour now that The Fast and Furious attraction that used to be at the end of the tour is now closed which is a shame as I used to enjoy that.
Disappointing that it seems the only way you can go to areas like Court House Square now is on FanFest nights for an extra $74
Warner Brothers tour is much better and you see real sets ,not just told what was in sound stages-hilarious!

First time back in 15 years...enjoyed it! We came on a Monday School Day and paid $104pp for the basic ticket...shocking still a quite a lot of kids! Shouldn't they be in school? Bad parenting? I imagine it was still a lot less crowded than a weekend or summer day.
PROS:
-Jurassic World Ride has been upgraded with more dinosaurs and special effects!
-Transformers is amazing!
-Life of Pets is super cute!
-Simpsons Ride is a bit dated, but still thrilling!
-Harry Potter Forbidden Journey is a magical flying ride...my wife got serious motion sickness though!
-Harry Potter Roller Coaster was alright...did they run out of budget?
-Nintendo World was awesome! The Mario Kart ride was great but the graphics were as smooth as expected.
-Mummy Ride goes from great to lame.
-I had never seen a Minion movie, but still enjoyed the ride!
-The classic Studio Tour is always awesome, with the new King Kong side quest being exceptional and exciting!

They charge you rediculous amounts for parking $35!?!? The nail in the coffin was stating they allow you to bring backpacks in but not telling you they force you to rent $5 lockers for said backpacks to fit in for several rides!! They make you rent multiple times per day because they won’t allow you to just set your bag off to the side of the ride like EVERY OTHER THEME PARK DOES! I just risked it, and put my bag with the stroller check. The tram ride took one hour and they didn’t even let us know that Jaws was down until we were well into it already. So boring. Harry Potter world was great- with exception of the ridiculously SHORT ride: Flight of the Hippogriff . Best rides: Jurassic Park and Mummy. We didn’t Go on Mario rides because the line wait time was TWO HOURS on a Tuesday!! Also, in Mario World, they make you buy $40 wrist bands for one of the rides🤬

Terrible access issues for handicapped. Hour wait just to go to the lower level where the good rides are. Then another to get out.

Very expensive park, even if you are inside you have to buy things like a band for Mario World otherwise you are not allowed on the attractions? The safe word is 10 dollars, drinking costs an average of 10 dollars, magnets 10 dollars and so on. The parking is actually criminal after paying a hefty entrance fee with 35 dollars. The whole way of entering Waterworld looked like some sort of disorganized cattle floating. We agreed that the backlot tour is the most fun and worked out best. Next time go to Moviepark Germany that has more atmosphere and is closer!

Universal Studios are legendary and a household name for many. Too bad you have to go through the amusement park to get to the tour. But that's the concept.
Super great thing for young and old.

My family and I have now gone to this theme park twice, and we enjoyed it both times. We always have enjoyed the Transformers ride, and we also enjoyed the Simpsons ride, and studio tour. We love the immersion at Super Nintendo World, but we didn’t enjoy the ride as much as we did the first time. Overall, this theme park is always a nice one day stay theme park.

A awful lot has changed since I was here in 1986.Im glad I booked online as that saved 50 dollars.A bit of a walk from jurassic parking....35 dollars, but a shorter distance to entrance costs either 50 or 75 dollars. The tram tour bit is OK.I suppose waiting for the rides was pretty quick. The shops all flog the same stuff. We had 2x krusty burgers with unlimited refills but the burgers were the size of a big mac with a few chunky chips.£54 with exchange rates.I feel like I've bent over and been shafted a#@##y.
More shops outside, but on a same theme. And what's with all the PSG shirts in the sports shop?....The mighty Chelsea stuffed that French bunch of tarts big time.

We have the VIP tour Universal Studios Hollywood for the 16th. Our daughter's birthday booked; a bit expensive, but probably the only way to complete all the attractions in one day. A guide guide guides the minigroup from attraction to attraction - no waiting times, but direct access to the rides (otherwise for normal guests up to 2 hours waiting per attraction, so not the whole park can be created in one day). Positive surprise: Lunch at the Moulin Rouge restaurant - really top standard! At the end of the tour travel in the small train through the studio world with some good 3D effects. Park closes in the summer outside of the California summer holidays already at 7.00 pm...

One of the best things to do in LA thank you Luke for taking us behind the scenes
We had a great day. Well worth the money and the lunch was great
Valet parking as not good at all you park at the furthest parking lot and have to walk. They should move valet to a closer parking lot.

We booked the VIP experience due to limited time to visit Universal and it being Christmas Day.... and we're soooo pleased we did. It was a fabulous experience and took all the stress out of the day (unlike Disneyland, which was quite stressful trying to figure things out in a large crowd as overseas travelers). Our tour guide Bobby was AMAZING!! He was funny, passionate, knowledgeable, and he exceeded our expectations to make sure that our group of 12 had the best day (we all became fast friends on his tour). Everything was so well done... breakfast and lunch sorted, a delicious butterbeer stop, a wonderful tour of the studios, helpful star ratings for ride scariness (this helped my apprehensive son become a lover of Rollercoasters and try them all for our entire trip). The queue jumping alone saved us hours in our experience, it was an absolute pleasure. We will always remember our Christmas Day 2024, and Bobby played a huge part in our experience, so we thank him wholeheartedly. If you're going to Universal.... treat yourself and book this tour!! It's well worth every penny. Even in a big crowd, you feel safe, cared for, and like you're getting the full Universal experience and not missing anything.

The park is beautiful and there is a beautiful view of the San Fernando Valley (North Los Angeles).
The best part of the day was the tour of the studios (although there might be audio guides for visitors who did not speak English).

It's very expensive, of course. But we've seen everything in eight hours. Since we were there shortly after the opening, we could have saved the use of the Expressline, because it was still quite empty on the studio tour. Overall, everything was not crowded. Unfortunately, the trip was not possible at Transformers because of the conversion. The studio tour, Jurassic Park and Harry Potter were fantastic and so was the Waterworld show. Everything else is already more for children, although the adults have of course ridden everything. The food and drinks are completely overpriced. However, you can bring drinking containers and fill them up at a water dispenser. The decoration and atmosphere is overwhelming overall also the two levels make the whole very interesting. If I had to choose, I'd prefer Orlando.

Most of the interesting elements are basically roller coasters with excessively long lines, VIP tickets are recommended

Amazing!! It was a dream for me and I was not disappointed. We took the skip-the-line tickets and we didn't regret it. We were able to do all the rides, visit the studios and the spectacular WaterWorld.
Really, I advise you. Everything is great, whether it's the attractions or the sets.
We had eat in the universe of simpsons, a Krusty burger, a treat!!

I first went here when I was 12. I'd been back to Universal Studio a bunch of times as an Actor and for Concerts but never felt the need to pay for the tour again. When my family wanted to go I decided I did need to go, specifically because I'm a Simpsons Fanatic and there's a good chance that someday they will tear-down Springfield to make room for another attraction. I was not disappointed. The tour was good, the Harry Potter stuff was cool enough and the Simpsons area was everything I had hoped. The simulator ride was fun and funny, Krusty Burger was a good a place to eat as anywhere in the park, where everything is expensive anyway, and DUFF BEER! Duff Beer Garden and a Moe's Tavern. The beer was on tap and pretty good. It's an American Lager, taste a bit like Budweiser, maybe a little better? One can get a bit of tunnel-vision looking at all the stuff going on, be sure and LOOK UP, there are Springfield Buildings and Characters above the main walkway that people were just walking by obliviously. The Simpsons souvenir shop really got me. I usually avoid those shops when I'm at any sort of Amusement Park, but for the Simpsons nerds, they have tons of cool stuff that you cant find anyplace else... and some stuff you might find elsewhere but will pay more for, especially considering you'd need to have it shipped to you.

The park itself is not giant, so you can calmly do all the attractions in one day. The difference for Orlando is that in this you make the tour in the studio, which is very well worth it.

A bit about us for some context - We're a family of 5. We've been to US Orlando several times and love it! We believe Express Passes are worth their weight in gold and we're always there for Early Entry.
We parked around 7:15 and got through security and were lined up for the gates around 7:30. They opened the gates and let us go to the rope. At 7:45 they physically walked us down in an orderly fashion to Mario World. They clearly have it dialed because we walked in just at 8am! At 8:01 we were walking into Mario Kart.
The theming of Mario World is really well done and so is the queue for Mario Kart, but the ride itself isn’t the blockbuster I expected. I really thought it would be a live action Mario Kart where we got to drive. Nah… You rode on a track system and have augmented reality visor on so you can see the other cars/characters and shoot them with shells and stuff. It was cool, but nothing that I’d go through the hassle of EA for again. We checked out the side games before the got slammed and they all had a small wait and most of them were pretty lame really. The 2 that were fun were the ones where you had to change all the colors to make them the same before time ran out. And we didn’t get the wristbands, so our scores meant nothing and we couldn’t even play the Bowser challenge which is apparently the best one. Oh well.
We left Mario world just after 9 and went straight to Revenge of the Mummy. We beat the crowd there so we didn’t have to use our EPs. It was a fun ride, and I’d say scarier than the one in Orlando, but it was shorter and didn’t have the effects or the “Brendan Fraser” magic that Orlando has. Transformers was closed, so we hit Jurassic World next. This was the same ride as Orlando, but themed as Jurassic World, so it had Owen and the Indominus Rex and it was really well done. We also got pretty wet on the drops. I’d give the edge to this one over Orlando!
We were done with the Lower Lot, so we went back up the escalators, stopping to get some pics of the city along the way (the famous smog was out today). We started with the Simpsons Ride and the wait time was like 45 min so we just used the EP. It still takes along time to ride thanks to all the pre shows. It was the exact same as Orlando. Done and done.
We were ahead of schedule, so we decided to do the Studio Tour now. We got onto the cart train and waited for the tour to start. It was actually a really nice tour and I appreciated not having to walk! The tour lasted 50 minutes or so and we saw lots of cool stuff. The highlights were the earthquake/flood, Kong 360, Jaws, Psycho (the live actor just made it) and Hill Valley and the clock tower from Back to the Future! It was a really cool tour, I’d give it the edge over the Warner Bros. myself.
After the tour, it was almost 11:30 so we made our way to Three Broomsticks for lunch. Luckily it wasn’t too crowded yet. We ordered BBQ ribs, shepherds pie, fish n chips and mac n cheese to share. We also got butterbeer and a fishy green ale that was very good (and had boba). Everything was pretty good and then we wandered over to Forbidden Journey. We used our EP so we didn’t get to experience all of the queue, but it looked the same as Orlando. The ride was exactly the same, but that was ok because its such a great ride! Flight of the Hippogriff was right there and the girls wanted to do it, so we rode it (all 30 seconds of it)! That was short, even shorter than Orlando.
We were done with the rides in Hogsmeade, so we let the girls get their wands out and do some magic. They had fun with the ones they could get to work, but not all them did. We got them more butterbeer as they walked around. Once they were done, we went on to do Despicable Me.
Like Simpsons, this ride just takes forever because of all of the pre shows. So even with the EP it takes 20 minutes. It was the same as Orlando, and this one just isn’t my favorite. We did Secret Life of Pets next. This one was new for me so I was kind of excited for it. But it was pretty lame. Just a slow track ride through different scenes of the movie (which I haven’t seen). But the lamest “ride” of the day was Kung Fu Panda. Just a 3D/4D show that was pretty boring.
We had done it all already, but we decided to go back to the lower lot and reride Mummy with our EP. We rode it again and it’s the best ride at US Hollywood (if you don’t count the studio tour). Now the girls wanted to reride Jurassic World. As we were on the ride, they put away the stegosaurus and brought out Blue. I thought for sure my kids would want to see Blue, but they didn’t really care. I watched it a bit from a platform as we were heading back up.
We thought about sticking around for the Waterworld show, but it wasn’t til 4 and it wasn’t even 3 yet so we took off. We hit the store on the way out and they had some really cool autographed stuff in there, but we didn’t buy anything. Then we left the park and hit City Walk.
Everything I read about US Hollywood was basically true. Mario World is very well done. The ride is cool, but not a blockbuster. The best thing about the park is the studio tour. The best coaster is Revenge of the Mummy and the best ride is Forbidden Journey. We enjoyed the park, but it is much smaller, and much less of a "thrill" park than US Orlando.

It was completely crowded. They threw you in like cattle, you saw every jump scare before you could get there. They just kept saying move along. Not worth the money. We only saw 4/8 because of the long wait times.

Great annlegg, but a lot of mistakes and salting of soda and vomiting that made it a lot of queue. Many of the attractions were 3D and not for those who get nauseated

One of the best amusement parks to visit during Halloween season. Highly recommend horror nights to any haunted house enthusiasts or anyone looking to have a good scare. Only feedback is haunted house should move a little quicker as lines are hours long.

My family attended universal studios today. I bought four tickets and my brother in law got four more tickets. During lunch we decided to go outside the park to have lunch and come back after with our four kids. We got the stamp upon leaving and there was no message also the gentleman didn’t say anything having our tickets to come back to the park. After lunch we returned and we couldn’t go in because we were missing my bother in-law tickets. We talked to two gentleman at the doors and they were rude. When to the guest services and more rude people and treat us like we were liars and criminals. We had four kids with stamps we received upon leaving and shows pictures of us inside earlier today with time and date and yet they didn’t believe me and treat us like criminals and liars. We drove from San Francisco and it was our first visit also was considering of getting annual passes after our experience but now I will never comeback because we spend so much money for only a few hours and we had stamps and we were not allow back into the park. Been the holidays we had the worse experience. Rude people and treat us like criminals. Not even Disney does that, Disney allows you to come back as long as you have the stamp. The worst experience. Your website does not say you need tickets and stamps to go out which is the what your team follows also no signs that mentions it and what about if I didn’t know how to read. Bad treatment and experience. We spend lots of money for a few hours and back treatment. Bad service and their team is not consistent. Never coming back. I rather go to Disney or other parks. Think twice before going outside the park to go and eat at the restaurant outside.

An excellent day out and experience with our knowledgeable and friendly host Robert A.
The breakfast was great and served in very comfortable and clean surroundings.
We enjoyed the backlot and behind the scenes tour and Robert’s commentary.
Robert ensured we did the best rides very quickly.
The lunch was also excellent but perhaps a little too close to breakfast.

We had a great studio back lot tour fun and very informative.
We then spent many hours in the theme park area on site which is great, in particular the recently opened Harry Potter themed village featuring a massive recreation of Hogwarts is stunning.
Highly recommended.

Spent my birthday here and couldn't of been happier!
A great day out. We got the early admission ticket for Nintendo world and couldn't of been happier! Was a relaxed day with minimal wait times, so was able to experience everything without rushing!
Also shout out the the team member on the mic as you walk to the studio tram tour who realised that it was my birthday and handed us 2x fast passes (though not needed on such a quiet day) which was greatly received.
All team members we encountered were great, couldn't fault anyone!
Well worth the day out for sure!

Was very expensive a lot of rides closed should let you know b-4 making these purchases. Everything is about selling items and not about serving the customer experience very sad!!

You will be treated horribly!! Including being fingerprinted at the gate and anytime you need to rent a locker! I want to fingerprint you, even though you have a ticket at the gate! Including your children! When you refuse, they tell you you either have to be fingerprinted or show ID, including your children! They make you put your things in a locker that you purchased from them and although it’s free you again have to give your fingerprint or they won’t allow you to rent a locker! The staff is rude and they try to make you sound Irrational that you don’t want to give them your fingerprint like a criminal! We will not be going back there again! we purchased an all day ticket and on Friday I believe the park is typically open pretty late! They actually kicked us out of 530 because they wanted to have a Halloween extravaganza and charge people money to get into that. So we gave up half of our day at the park so that they could make money off of what we’ve already paid for !! Despicable! You should look on their calendar, but it doesn’t let you change the month. They don’t want you to know that they’re kicking you out early to make more money on extra tickets and you’re losing half of your ticket. I’m guessing the park closes somewhere between 10 PM and midnight and we are getting kicked out at 5:30 Unless of course, you purchased their Halloween pass for an extra amount!

Worst experience ever!!!!!! I bought 6 attraction tickets on official website and they were not delivered (only 2/6 worked) and now they are trying to refund me with a different value that I paid!!!!

Lines were long, multiple experiences were shut down for maintenance and the back lot tour had multiple stops out of order. I did not love the overallexperience. That being said, I did enjoy the Waterworld performance. It felt more like a merch store with a few activities thrown in than an experience to remember.

We are not theme park people generally, but had an absolutely wonderful time at Universal Studios. The park is smaller and more compact than Disney, and even on July 4th we didn't wait for more than 20 minutes for any ride (with standard admission - the express pass was too expensive). We particularly liked Jurassic Park, The Mummy, and the two Harry Potter rides, and very much enjoyed the Water World show and of course the classic tram tour.

What a brilliant day out ,a must to visit ,Harry Potter Hogworts is amazing & the simulated ride inside is amazing ,your flying around hogworts behind Harry on his broomstick .Take the studio ride ,takes to the Jaws set ,Skull island King Kong will attack the bus your in ,see the Psycho film house & motel ,Full size crash plane from war of the worlds & dozens of other sets .Its a must visit .Allow 6 hours plus to visit .

Great day!
We took tickets to arrive early in the morning and enjoy the Nintendo area, which allowed us to do other attractions like The Mummy before the official opening of the park. The scenery is very immersive and the attractions varied.
Small downside regarding the Nintendo area, which I find quite small with only one real attraction.
I highly recommend this activity!

worst theme park experience ive had. long lines that rich people can skip. certain rides are literally stationary chairs that move around a little bit while you watch a video. the minions ride malfunctioned and all we got was a voucher to SKIP THE LINE. waste of a day i could have spent at disneyland.

Hollywood a dream destination for every person on this earth. We had an incredible day by visiting this wonderful attraction. My Wife enjoyed so much because she had a dream of seeing it after we have shifted to US from Germany.

Went just after Spring Break and Easter - still very busy but managed to do what we wanted to do we a two day entry ticket. Staff very helpful for a traveller with mobility issues and on occasion let us use express lanes without an express ticket to avoid the long queues. Not a big one for thrill rides but still plenty to see and do. The Waterworld Show was awesome - highly recommend. Harry Potter theming was amazing. The free hotel shuttle was definitely worth using rather than walking up/down a decent sized hill.

This amusement park is one of the most beautiful in the United States, it is very good for young children under 12 as well as older ones.
Only downside the works of the future big 8 and the prices of drinks and food (no restaurant worthy of the name) are excessive.
Many attractions are great, like a great country.
Mario's world is very well made
We’ll come back for sure

It's amazing, we were there all day. The games and especially the thematic sections are perfectly set, the tour to the studios have updated and improved considerably, since I went to this one 45 years ago and expected to see the same thing, not really. It is huge and the food was very good. Keep going.

Had a great time here. Only issue was that due to fright night the park closed early (6 pm) and the rides pretty much stopped at 5:30 so we missed a few

Beautiful attractions, too bad that transform it is in maintenance!
Provide $5 in bag deposits for certain attractions, which raises the bill.
Sometimes 1h to 1h30 of queue, so go there from the opening +++, possible to do everything on the day but do not hang out and avoid being in high season then.
Goodies are very expensive, $59 for a fake (but pretty) wizard's wand... to avoid +++

Universal studios is a very popular and fun place to visit. The guided tour, the atmosphere and the attractions are amazing.

The attraction par excellence not to be missed.. Beautiful settings and experiences to live with the various attractions .. It feels like being on a movie set.. Once in a lifetime they are definitely worth visiting

Very good. The new Nintendo park is spectacular. You feel inside the game and the most nostalgic can get excited! Park organized fast queues and all the magic of the universal world

I can’t say enough about this experience! I came with my mom and brother for my mom’s 80th birthday. Yes, you heard that right, the Big 8-0!
From the moment we stepped inside the VIP Lounge, we felt like royalty. They placed an “It’s My Birthday” pin on my mom, and throughout the day, at least 40 employees wished her a Happy Birthday. She felt so special.
Our tour guide was Kyle, and he was efficient, friendly, and accommodating. Our group consisted of 12 guests total, which was the perfect size.
We first did the rides. I was worried that some might be too rough for my mom, but Kyle was great about letting us know how each ride was and asking if anyone in our group wanted to skip a ride. We did a total of 6 rides — Jurassic Park, Mummy, Transformers, Mario Kart, and two Harry Potter rides. My mom ended up doing all of them with no issue! The best part is that we didn’t have to wait in lines at all, and it was Thanksgiving week so it was a busy day.
Then we broke for an hour-long buffet lunch, which is reserved for VIP guests only. The food was delicious, and there were characters like Dracula and Lucy (from “I Love Lucy”) walking around and greeting everyone. My mom grew up on Lucy, so getting to meet her was amazing!
Next, we did the lot tour on a luxurious tour bus with another group of 12. It took us through the King Kong 3D experience, the Jaws set, and an earthquake simulation, among other cool stops. Fortunately, it wasn’t much walking as we were all a bit tired by this point.
The full experience was around 6.5 hours, but we were engaged from start to finish. We were extremely impressed with Kyle’s coordination of the entire day.
After the tour was over, we checked out a few shops and did the Simpsons ride and did the Harry Potter ride again — since our VIP passes allowed us to continue to skip the lines for the rest of the night.
It honestly could not have been a more perfect day! I highly recommend the VIP Experience!

Bad experienced. As we were in the middle of transformer ride and suddenly technical issues and our ride stopped. It was super dangerous in the middle of the ride and some issues with the technical.
Our life were feel like in danger.
Universal studio u have to make sure all safe before give your guest take any ride that can be RISKY!!!!

Like Disney, Universal also knows how to do an amusement park, and this one in California may not be as big as Orlando, but it's also very fun. There are several amazing attractions, including Harry Potter, Nintendo area, etc. There is even a movie studio to visit.
The problem is the number of people and the queues. Unfortunately, the ticket (which is already expensive) is twice the price if you buy it in a row. Prepare, then, to face 2-hour queues (believe me, it's normal) or, the best option possible, go to the single riders (this saved me many hours of queues in the two days I went).
It’s a matter of taste, but for me the best Attraction was the Revenge of the Mummy (in the Lower Lot). A Russian mountain in the dark, super fast, and amazing (but not radical, at least has no looping). Other very good attractions: The Studio Tour (in the Upper Lot), the two Harry Potter attractions (in the Upper Lot), the Attraction of Mario Kart in the Super Nintendo World (in the Lower Lot) and Jurassic World The Ride (in the Lower Lot; this can be a bit wet).
To get there is quite easy, even if you are not in the car: just take line B of the subway and get off at Universal City/Studio City station. From there, cross the bridge and take a free shuttle from the park itself, which will leave you at the door.

I absolutely LOVE it here for the Christmas Holidays🎄😍! Decorated beautifully & the Characters too! I have ALWAYS loved the tram tour too🥰!!

The VIP tour on Thanksgiving was an excellent choice. Our guide, Patrick C, was fantastic—funny, entertaining, and incredibly knowledgeable, which made the day even more memorable. Lunch was a highlight, with a delicious spread that included sushi rolls, fresh seafood, turkey, and plenty of tasty vegetarian options.

Amazing day!
Little tail for us a great chance we made all the attractions.
Beautiful decor
Attractions at the top

Although we were looking forward to going to this park, our experience was far below expectations. The waiting time for each ride was at least 45 minutes, and some rides were excessively short in duration (I waited almost an hour to ride 5 seconds).
The only plus was the air conditioning system with water sprinklers at the queue line and the Studio Tour.
For the Mario ride we didn't even dare to wait, there being the estimated time of 2 hours.
I regret that we chose this park instead of going to Warner Bros or instead of taking an extra day at Disney.

What an amazing way to experience universally studios! Worth every cent! Got to see everything and the queue jumping along would have made the VIP worth it but Tom was an incredible host and loved the behind the scenes tour on the bus. Must do trip!

This is a very fun tour for young and old. The explanation you receive ensures that you will never watch a film the same way again. This is also recommended for people who are less mobile

I’ve been to Universal Studios many times in the past and it never fails to entertain. The skip the line pass is worth every dollar.

What an experience! From the beginning we are immersed in another world. The entrance is well organized and fast despite the world. The staff is friendly and attentive, whether in the park, in restaurants/shops/ attractions. During the holiday season: the decorations were beautiful, the spectaculars incredible!
At the level of attractions there is something for everyone. We enjoyed the whole studio, rewarding.
It's smaller than Japan's but we have just as much fun!
We advise the phone call, a cost for sure, but worthwhile to enjoy the experience thoroughly!
To live!

And well arrived at 8:45 to avoid too much crowds. Timing at the top is fluid. We drove on Mario Kart who just opened a single attraction without much interest and the rest you need a badge in + or $.
Walking dead closed 😵💫.
There are new attractions under construction... but for us we went quickly around, very medium exit at 12:00 . Disappointed

I noticed several safety concerns. One of the most worrying issues is that the fences are very low, making it easy for a child to accidentally climb over and fall into the void.

Excellent park.. great rides and lot of things to enjoy.
Atmosphere is full of energy. We had a lot of fun. Jurassic ride is a must.

We truely enjoyed it we were able to go on most of the rides even with the Christmas crowds except the Mario browser challenge which was a 2 hour wait. The kids enjoyed the park very much and the universal tour is a must do!

Our guide was Donald. What a fantastic experience!!! The movie studio tour, the park, the lunch, absolutely incredible! Donald was superb!!! Cannot say enough wonderful things- the park was crowded, we moved quickly from attraction to attraction. We were given insight and warnings for the rides (we were able to do them all). Donald kept us informed and entertained. So good with the children and soooooo patient!! An amazing day- in every aspect.

The VIP Experience was worth every penny. Our guide, Danny, was really knowledgeable about the park, attractions, and on the studio tour. The lounge with breakfast and coffee was a nice touch too. We arrived too early for regular access and purchased the VIP Experience on the day for early access and queue jump - for the cost of the upgrade on the day we would recommend especially on busy days as this allowed us to do all the rides and experiences in one day.
The VIP Experience also gave us access to get off the trolley during the studio tour and look around the sets (including The Good Place set) with Danny providing extra input, rather then just driving past them.
Universal Studios Hollywood overall was amazing, the best part of our trip to LA. We particularly enjoyed the Harry Potter world and rides.
P.S. The giant Simpsons Donut is worth it!

Wow, Universal Studios Hollywood was an absolute blast! 🎉 We had the BEST time, but let me tell you, the Fast Pass Express is a MUST! 🙌 Yes, it’s about $50 more, but it’s worth every penny. 💸 The regular wait times for rides were 90-100 minutes, but with the Fast Pass, we were zooming through in about 10 minutes—5 of those were just walking! 🚶♂️ We got to ride EVERYTHING 2-4 times, including the super fun Super Mario ride! 🍄 The only ride with a slightly longer wait was The Simpsons, but still totally manageable. 😎 Without the Fast Pass, we wouldn’t have enjoyed the park nearly as much—trust me, it’s a game-changer! 🎮
Also, you HAVE to try the Roast Chicken! 🍗 It’s around $13-15, but it’s such a tasty and filling meal—perfect for recharging after all those rides. 😋 Universal Studios Hollywood is awesome, but the Fast Pass and that Roast Chicken made our day unforgettable! 🌟
😄

Omg, thrilling rides, immersive attractions, and a behind-the-scenes Studio Tour. A must visit, specially for movie fans, though crowds can be high

Recommend only as a visit for families with children. Almost all attractions are based on comics and movies for children. What little there is for an adult visitor does not make a visit worth the money.

Universal Hollywood was just okay for us. It was very expensive for not a lot of things to do-you really can do the entire park in less than one day, so the BOGO day free tickets are sort of pointless unless you live in Cali, and then most just have a season pass. We didn’t have terribly long lines, so that was great. The whole upper and lower lots was a bit of a hassle with all the escalators and made the park hard to navigate. We did have a medical issue and had to use first aid—I would give them 10 stars for how well they handled the issue. The rides are fun, but there aren’t enough little kid/non-rider friendly things to do for how much it costs. I wouldn’t go back for how much it costs. With that said, the park is extremely clean, and the themed areas are very well done. Mario World and Harry Potter and Secret Life of Pets were family faves. Transformers terrified my tween child and there wasn’t enough details or warning ahead of time (which resulted in the medical issue). I wish we had done Disney instead.

Hadn’t been to HHN in 5 years. Took the family 10/27 must agree with many others just how disappointing it was. Just seems to be a money grab now. We have been to many, many HHN events, but this one will be our last. I can remember when it used to be really good, now it’s just……blah. Every year it gets more expensive and the quality of the entire event keeps going down. No more, I’m done.

We were at Halloween Horror Nights in September and the expectation was very big, but despite the production being execute, the houses were in many ways graceless. Many people, monumentaal queues the issue of well-deficient food. It is an attraction that we do not repeat for sure.

Despite the price of souvenirs, I leave here with stars in my eyes with all the different themes on offer and attractions that were engraved well

Great experience.
Worth its price in weekends.
The express ticket allows to save a lot of time and to see all the attractions .

I expected there to be real rides, but almost all the attractions are 4D experiences. The image quality is VERY poor — definitely not up to 2025 standards. It’s more suitable for children. The decorations are beautiful, and the studio tour is quite enjoyable. However, the food is overpriced. As for the Harry Potter beer — I honestly think it should either be banned or made drinkable!

This park is great, to do at least once in a lifetime if you go through it.
Plan the day and choose to go on the days when there is the least traffic.

It was an amazing experience in the park, my most amazing experience was the Jurrasic World Ride and the Simpsons Ride, but I also managed to experience the Revenge of the Mummy Ride and Super Nittendo World. I plan to return and complete the tour.

pure show, there are not enough words to describe this fantastic place, attractions of all kinds, wonderful rides and a truly fairytale atmosphere. WONDERFULOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Universal Studios at Christmas time is the best! They have a Whooville with the Grinch and tree lighting ceremony, and a laser Christmas show on the Hogwarts castle.

Well everything was designed nicely and looked great, the scare actors in the houses were really predictable and they had the staff in robes with the guide lights? That really took my out of it as they were at every corner and it felt like I saw them more than the scarers.
Another point with the houses is you had to walk a mile just to wait in line for almost half an hour, why were they only letting people in in groups of 8, even Knott's scary farm knew to keep it moving to save visitors back pains.
And in the main areas like Hogwarts, I didn't see one death eater, one of the main reasons I wanted to go, and the dragon wasn't above gringotts either, very disappointed with that but the fish and chips in the tavern were worth it.
The scare actors didn't really come out till 8PM when it was advertised as 7PM, and there weren't very many, they only brought the big birds on stilts out for a show before leaving immediately after too. I'm just happy I got a free scares from the chainsaw punkz, cute and very aggressive ❤️🩹.
One last part on the transformers ride, there was way too much walk up for a minute long ride and when I got up there with my dad the ride broke down and they didn't tell us how long it'd take until 10 minutes of waiting at the gate to get on. Not common but that really put the hurt on me.
Overall the experience was kinda dull and not very accommodating for people with easily strained backs, or people who actually wanna get scared without walking a mile or two for a predictable horror house. All the love for the chainsaw punkz who basically carried the place but I will not be returning

Universal Studios Hollywood is perfect for a family day out! The rides, like Jurassic World and Harry Potter, thrilled everyone, while the studio tour gave a fun behind-the-scenes look. The shows were amazing, and the food options suited all tastes.

Most people will tell you that you can do this park in one day, but you need at least two days. We were lucky that we took advantage of the buy one day, get a day free promotion and we were so glad now that we did! Even with the two days, we still missed out on the water show, The Mummy and Transformers ride.
We spent a whole day at Harry Potter and experienced Mario, The Simpsons, Despicable Me/Minions and the Universal tour the next day. I strongly advise eating at the Toadstool Cafe if you are a Mario fan, the themed food and aesthetically pleasing decor will not disappoint! Don’t bother with the Three Broomsticks in Harry Potter- service and food is subpar.
Character sightings are plentiful in this park, much better than in Disneyland parks! Take advantage of any if you can. Souvenirs are equally better here than in Disney so fill up if you can. I wish the hours were longer, I found a 6pm shut down time to be much too early.
A note that this park is not overweight/obese friendly. My husband were only able to ride Mario and the Simpsons. You will notice that the cast members will profile anyone in this category and stop you in front of everyone in line to have you try out the tester seat. I think I would have been less embarrassing trying to sit in the seat on the ride itself and then leaving, though I understand that this wouldn’t be time friendly for the ride itself. After that, we would have to tell the cast members that we were just walking our kids in line so they would leave us alone.
Despite the fat profiling, we still had a great time as did the kids. I think they had more fun here than in Disney to be honest. It’s definitely worth the stop!

Super cost-effective, time-saving and ultra-convenient energy for large families struggling who want to enjoy the park not having much time

Dont bother to go in September or October unless specifically going to Halloween Nights,, whole vibe off - set tour ruined bu decorations for halloween parties,, Only open 10am to 6pm and citywalk only till 9pm . As a working studio I expected the tour not to be so indoctrinated for Halloween. Just bad customer service all round

Guides were great, very knowledgeable. Food was really nice, only reason I marked down was the first half was pretty boring. We were taken to the sound stage and then to sets (neighborhoods, old towns etc). We spent quite a while in this one sound stage where all this stuff was filmed. (It was a big empty black room). This was so boring for the kids! They wanted rides. We should have said this is enough, let’s get to the rides! It is also played out in an upper and lower area. They won’t let strollers of scooters on the escalators so that was a pain. We had a scooter and had to wait for a van to drive us back and forth. There weren’t many vans so lots of waiting)

Admission is pricey ($140 pp). In addition, they try to take your money everywhere. It's really become way too commercial. Bands for Nintendo land cost another $50 per band. You'll need it for Nintendo land, or you'll miss everything about this part of the park. It looks super-cool, but is it worth the money? Some ‘shows’ are also to cheat you out of money. A show in which you are fitted with a magic wand is lousy, and only meant to tempt you to buy an expensive Harry Potter stick. Otherwise expensive and greasy and unhealthy food everywhere. The park was super busy on the Thursday we were there. Thick queues everywhere at 40 minutes to sometimes almost 2 hours waiting. Too bad, what a really nice park further.

So much to see and really just a crapload of ppl. It can be very noisy as they have music blasting from every which way (in addition to all the chatter) so if you are noise sensitive like me, take ear plugs. The express pass is over $400 but is offered a bit cheaper if you come later in the afternoon so it is therefore even busier at this time. If you are only going to do one day and can afford it get the expensive pass, if not it’s better to come over two or more days so u can work your way around the attractions.

One of the coolest experiences for those who are cinéfilo! Easy to feel child again in toys... my favorite theme area was Jurassic World, watching the baby Blue

A really great amusement park! It is divided into various themed areas: you will find the Simpsons area, the Jurassic world area, the Super Mario area and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. In each theme area there are attractions and they are all interactive and engaging. The park is also suitable for children as there are several areas for them (such as the Minions) and you will find places to eat or drink everywhere.
In addition, you can also take a guided tour to see the film sets where many famous films were shot (and still are shot) (here you can also see many of the special effects featured in the films).
Throughout the park there are also merchandising shops where you can buy items of all kinds.
Experience absolutely to do if you are in Los Angeles, I recommend buying your ticket in advance.

We recently attended Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando and had a blast — though I’ll admit, there were parts that felt a bit intense for our 11-year-old. Overall, it was worth it and a night we’ll remember! The scare zones were a good for all of us and the Five Nights at Freddy’s house was fun. We went into the Fallout House but was a touch scary for the 12 year old. Still, lots of fun! Loved the cats!!!

This was my first time at universal, being a lovervof movies i was so excited about this.
Loved the theme park and loved all the different worlds, queues for rides was long at times but your well warned of times.
The waterworld show was very good! Probably enjoyed it the most! We did the studio tour, which only took an hour. They were setting up for the Halloween fright nights, so it had blocked things I wanted to see, like the physco house and the jaws part also was not on for 4 weeks, which is something my hubby was looking forward too. So were disappointed with a few things and that you were just driven round it.
Overall though, glad we went.

Exceptional and super organized park for logistics and entertainment, despite the amount of people who frequent it every day.
What is worth a visit is the tour of the studios: conceived in a perfect way and told by professionals with so much enthusiasm.
Places to eat in the park are terrible and expensive, for Italians I suggest packed lunches.
Do not miss Jurassic World.the other attractions all quite the same.

Of the best that exists in the world!
Universal Studios Hollywood is a must-see for those who come to Los Angeles. It's one of the best theme parks on the planet.
However, buying the express ticket (fast pass for no lines) is an investment that improves the experience to 1000%.
It’s perfect for families with teen kids who don’t like Disneyland that much anymore and have also opened many new attractions for all audiences.
My favorite part was Super Nintendo World (I recommend buying a Power Up Band in the park to make the most of it).
I have come since I was a child and it is always an unforgettable experience.

Universal studios are great fun. There are lots of characters around the park throughout the day.
The rides are great , yes there are long lines for some but to be expected at a theme park!
We did the studio tour, which was again great fun but not as good as the 1st time we did it in 2019, think it was because the tour guide we had wasn’t very good…
The grinchmas attraction was great!

This was one of the best experiences I've had. It was full of many thrillful events with laughter and many memories that were made that will forever be cherished. The staff were so sweet, patient, and respectful which I greatly appreciate. I will definitely recommend this to a group of family and friends as it would bring enjoyment to the whole group. Universal Studios Los Angeles has my heart.

Had an amazing time. Was nervous about going alone but had an absolute blast.
A shout out to Christopher the tour guide who mentioned he'd be retiring soon. You guys need to hold on to him with both hands and he was next level. Wonderful, wonderful guide.

Universal knows how to make a theme park! When comparing to other amusement parks it's clear that a lot of effort has gone into making a day here a great experience. There are so many details that they have streamlined and considered that others miss. Like single-rider lanes for most attractions, always filling each ride, efficient loading/unloading for attractions, etc. We could ride SO much with single-rider, and very few seem to know about it or use it. Use it. Use it a lot!
The Studio Tour is the star of the show. It's amazing, don't miss it! It's also what separates Universal Studios Hollywood from the park in Orlando.
The themed lands are great, especially the Harry Potter land. It's amazing to just walk around in it. If you haven't experienced it before it's truly magical.
Character meet & greets are very well organized. Characters show up on time on their designated spots and are all acting in character. The small interactions with each visitor is highly appreciated by our children.
On the downside the park feels a bit cramped. Super nintendo land for example feels like it should have a bigger space and the transformers metro base is just squeezed in without the opportunity for some more theming around it. It didn't help that big parts of the central area was under renovation during our visit. Universal Florida feels more open and as every attraction and land got the space it deserved.
The transition between upper and lower lot is tedious and easily becomes a bottle neck, even on a day with 20% attendance like when we visited.
Parking for $35 is really expensive though, and it doesn't matter if you just want to go to the city walk for a few hours or stay all day, the fee is the same.

I want to start by saying just how fantastic a tour guide Elliot is. I was really worried it was going to feel like a chore being stuck with someone all day as I don't enjoy meaningless pleasantries and fake Disney smiles, but it was nothing like that. Elliot was engaging in a natural way that felt personal and not forced. We were sad to let him go at the end of the tour.
Yes, the tour is a fair amount of money, but worth every penny. We felt special, enjoyed having someone guide us around most of the park and breeze us through the queues. It's not just a fast pass, your guide makes sure you get ahead of everyone and straight onto each ride.
The continental breakfast was pleasant and the lunch was very satisfying. I enjoyed that a little bit too much.
The backlot tour was very comfortable with a private bus and some backstage stops to things like the prop store and Wisteria Lane. There was a lot of interesting information and didn't find myself bored at any point.
Truly a really special day and a fantastic way to close our trip.

Obviously one of the best theme parks in the world, the roller coasters and all the 3D rides are breathtaking. A full day (or even more) of unforgettable fun, definitely try the bus ride across the movie sets and don’t give up on any attractions - they’re all worth discovering. The fast track pass is absolutely worth it.

Amazing fun, thrilling rides - everything we hoped for and more. If you were as disappointed by the mouse as we were, rejoice: Universal Studios is great and cheaper to boot. Would visit again.

A good park, with good rides and shops. Although the day was cold, the whole team tried hard to make a good atmosphere for New Year’s Eve.

Amazing place for family gateway. All of us had Amazing fun day. So much to do, so much to see. Staff very friendly, food great and very clean.

Amusement park for adults willing to queue long sometimes for disappointing attractions.
Very poor part of the film sets.
We thought much better given the cost.
If you have a few days in Los Angeles don't waste one there.

Just an all around great time for the kids for the whole day.
Park is in a steep terrain, making it almost 2 separate parks. Lower and top section. To go from the top to the lower section you take several huge steep electric stairs.
The early access is key to visit the Nintendo World area without being too crowded. It's small and you can easily do it all in 1-2 hours. Then Jurassic Park and so on.
Very fun, well planned park.
I downloaded a Universal Studios Hollywood crowd calendar and didn't buy the express pass because we were on a "5/10 crowd day" and it was a massive hit. No need at all for the express pass which costs $100 each.

Total rip off!
Ridiculous queues, states you must buy park ticket & this pile of crap too!
They never scanned or checked park tickets, over $700 wasted. Plus the park ticket. Family of 4 £1000!
Literally queues so long you could only do 3 things. Clearly pure greed to sell fast passes for another £400, but obviously everyone had the same idea & those queues ridiculous. So still couldn’t do even half the shows.
Not staffed enough so queue jumping & badly organised incompetent queue heading.
The scariest thing was the aches, pains of shuffling the night away & the cost of them!

Great experience; Recommendation to everyone.
The lines for the attractions were not long; every activity was spectacular (Star Wars in my opinion you can not skip)

I like this place so much we enjoyed every moment and the kids was having a lot fun the best part for us adults was the studio tour it was a blast but for the kids they liked both Jurassic world and the world of Harry Potter it actually was one of the best days of my entire life

We had Jeff was a tour guide can say enough nice things about him - I have mobility issues - and couldn't go on the rides - he did all he could to make it a dream come true - and never made me like an inconvenience do to my issues

Fun no long waits for rides which was amazing food was expensive as an Australian visiting it had fun for the whole day it was fun
Only sad thing was the street desperate housewives where filmed on was closed because of filming

What an amazing place to visit, from Jurassic world, Simpson land to Harry Potter. Fun for the whole family, greatly designed park with easy access to all. Very friendly staff and very helpful. Highly recommended for all, will go again

Maravilloso
I was impressed with the technology of the attractions rained us and hail but that did not affect at all our adventure we could enjoy 100% everything definitely recommend and I will return again
Gracias Universal Studios

The Park has the same attractions as Universal Orlando but slightly different, mainly due to the newly inaugurated Epic Universe. The advantage is that the park is more compact which makes it easier to walk around. The only different attraction is the tour of the studios, and it is mandatory, has simulator and everything else the guides are very fun.

Really disappointing experience today. My wife accidentally left my phone after going through the security bag check and went back right away to get it. Instead of just helping, the security guard was rude, condescending, and acted like I was causing a problem for no reason.
I'm paying to be here on vacation, not to be talked down to or treated like a suspect. The security staff seriously need better training in how to speak to guests or you need to hire better. They act like they're some kind of cops instead of customer-facing employees at a theme park. For what people pay to come here, basic respect should be the minimum.

Great staff and very helpful breakfast wa lovely and pool was very warm will be back again soon my son loved it and was very happy with it

Our VIP tour guide ‘Robert’ was superb and made the day unforgettable. To think he’s been working here since 1989, yet still some serious charisma, wit, humour & intelligence is a true credit to Universal Studios. It was our first time visiting and we would definitely recommend going VIP. No queues, great food, behind the scenes locations and much more. Thank you Robert, it was a pleasure to meet you. Mr & Mrs Lewis from the UK.

Pros:
No waiting times, efficient daily routine, all main attractions are feasible in one day. Especially with regular waiting times of ~60 minutes per attraction a big advantage.
The park is very clean, well organized and pleasant to explore despite many visitors.
Numerous restaurants with international food and snacks, good supply throughout the day.
Cons:
Both express ticket and food in the park are expensive. The portions are often not in proportion to the price.
If you don’t buy an express ticket, you can only manage some of the attractions and have to be prepared for longer waiting times.
The amount is often disappointing, especially for families or hungry people – there should be more to the price.

Let start off with parking. For the cheapest price the walk is 30 minutes to the park, so we ended paying the next price up which was maybe a 5 minute walk. The line to get in the park was fast, there wasnt too much of a wait time. But for the rides/attractions the lines were long, around 1-2 hours of a wait time, so i would recommend you purchasing the express tickets (book in advance to save a little). During certain times of the day, some rides opened line for those who are riding solo. This line went by WAYYYY faster than the regular line. A friend and I tried going through this line and got lucky to ride together.
I honestly expected more from this park being that the price for admission is the same price as the one in Florida (which has more rides and attractions.) It was a great experience to do, but for the money I wouldn't go again anytime soon. I did more walking and waiting then riding.
The food was pretty good. We ate at a Jurassic Park restaurant and a spot where they served alfredo and spaghetti.
To my Harry Potter fans!!!! You will enjoy the entire experience! The iconic drinks and gift shops was stupendous!!
To my Super Mario fans........OOOOO MMMM GGGG!! When i walked in I felt like I jumped into a Mario game!!!! Mario Kart was by far my favorite ride.
If you go to Universal super early in the morning I feel like you can manage to ride almost every ride/attraction, but the tickets are for two days (admission only meaning not including parking.)

Hello, I do not recommend, unless you wish to pay for someone to let you shop on your own. The only advantage is the breakfast and the (lean) meal offered.

We booked this after reading multiple online reviews and were still very very impressed with both the tour and service we received, there was a bit of a walk from the valet parking to the check in area, we had printed our tickets as well downloaded them on the Universal App the process was seamless and very efficient. We went upstairs where there was a nice range of breakfast options which we enjoyed very much, our tour guide Bobby then came and introduced himself personally to everyone before the tour started, we did all the rides in the morning including the Waterworld stunt show which is awesome, Lunch had a wonderful fresh selection ranging from salads to crab legs, all soft drinks are included, we met several film characters who interacted with every guest Dracula was very sociable. The studio tour was great fun and very informative thanks to both tour guides on our bus Bobby and Kevin who discussed if Harrison Ford was one of the greatest actors of all time, we really enjoyed this experience and would definitely recommend the VIP option to anyone looking at it.

We’ve had the opportunity to visit almost all of the Universal Studios parks around the world, and unfortunately, the one in Hollywood was the only one where we experienced poor customer service. Here are two of the most frustrating situations we encountered:
1. Security issue with my daughter: My 8-year-old daughter accidentally ran out of the park, and although I was behind her, I couldn’t stop her before she crossed the exit. When we reached the security gate, the staff informed us that, according to protocol, even though our family was inside, she had to stay outside the park alone and couldn’t re-enter. I tried to explain that she was a child and it wasn’t safe for her to be left alone outside, but they strictly adhered to protocol and told me that even if she were only 3 years old, she would have to wait outside on her own. This situation was not only confusing but also concerning from a safety standpoint.
2. Elevator issue: My younger daughter fell asleep in the stroller, and we wanted to move to the Jurassic Park area, which can only be accessed via escalators or an elevator. Despite the elevator being empty, the staff told us we could not use it and insisted we wake up the baby to go down the stairs. The only option they offered was to wait 25 minutes to see if a person with a disability needed the elevator, and if so, we could use it, but only under the condition that we woke up the baby first. The lack of flexibility and consideration for young children was quite clear.
In conclusion, while the park itself is beautiful, with well-maintained facilities and larger than other Universal parks I’ve visited, the customer service leaves much to be desired, especially when it comes to families with young children. The inflexible attitude and lack of empathy in these specific situations made for an experience that fell short of expectations.

Whatever you might think this is not a studio visit it is a theme park. You need to have children to get the best out of it. You need to Google what rides are available. Of the 4 studios in Hollywood I would rate this4. I have done them all and Warner bros stands out as the best. The Jurassic park ride is excellent but you get very very wet. The mummy ride is completely in the dark and could be anything, poor. Didn’t do any other rides as they are for kids. The studio tour on golf type carts is excellent and you get to see the well documented jaws thing, crashed aircraft from war of the worlds etc look on utube cus it’s all old and on here. You learn nothing about how a studio works mainly because they don’t use back lots much anymore evidenced by none of the sets being dressed. Don’t buy front of line just go early and no queues at all

Would have much preferred a hard copy map as opposed to the app. Selecting specific locations all well & good but the app doesn’t tell you how to get to the location.

I would have put family but wouldn’t let me.
Anyway. Had a great day. Was for my daughter’s birthday. Tour guide was amazing. I believe the VIP was worth it.
Staff friendly. Rides good. Food good. Highly recommend the vip even though it’s a bit more money.

Went on New Year’s Day, thank god as it wasn’t too bad a wait time in the rides. Studio tour was good, but TV’s kep dropping in and out! The park is set out really well

We did the VIP tour with Owen yesterday. Tour was good, especially if you are interested in looking at behind the scenes of movie sets . A special thanks to Owen our tour guide he was exceptional.

Put in your walking shoes.
Planning a day at an amusement park requires plenty of walking. We just didn’t expect the REALLY LONG walk from the general admission parking.
There are three parking options when you arrive. According to their website, the rates are currently $35 for general, $55 for preferred and $75 for front gate (although I thought the sign was higher than that, maybe it was just blurry or I am not remembering correctly.)
We chose the general parking understanding that we would go through city walk to get to the main gates of the park. So we walked and we walked and we walked and we walked. It just seemed far.
Our primary visit today was for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Ollivanders sucked. The Flight of the Gryffindor may have been the shortest ride I’ve ever been on. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey was excellent. The scenery is great, butterbeer stands aplenty. They’re really trying a hard sell on the Harry Potter merchandise in this area.

They do what they do well. Unless you are a wheelchair user. Man, what an absolute clown show their disability access is! Millions of visitors a year and they still don't know how to come into the 21st century.
First, access between upper and lower levels takes for-freaking-ever. Why is there only 1 tiny tram that transports maybe 3 people and their attendees at a time? It wasted so much of our time!!
(So much so that in our second day, we opted to carry our daughter down the escalators while the other pushed her manual wheelchair.)
Second, disability access for some major rides bypasses all the build up and ambience of the ride. Turns out that the dark hallways for disability access to the Hogwarts ride are a sort of dank hell in comparison with the experience of standing in a line for typical access- our daughter missed so much!
And do NOT get me started on the "accessible" bathrooms that are so tiny it's freaking laughable! That bathroom near the Three Broomsticks would be unnavigable by any disabled person without a companion. What a freaking joke!
The next day, a less busy day, we waited an extra 30 minutes, with essentially no waiting in typical lines, for a disability access bus for the studio tour. Why? Why?
We then went on Secret Life of Pets - yay! A ride where she can stay in her wheelchair and not have to transfer! Except, nope, they didn't know how to fasten anything to her chair and she still had to transfer.
My 10 year old is physically disabled, but she is fully aware of how needlessly "extra" her access was at this park.
Universal has millions of visitors a year and if they can spend $50-100 million on new roller coaster rides, they can certainly spend a fraction of that improving their disability access. It was definitely a situation of "we're ADA compliant because we did the bare minimum (and not one single thing more)".
The rest of our crew mostly enjoyed their experience, but the frustration around accessibility dampened the entire experience across two days for everyone. Largely because it's so needlessly prohibitive and difficult.

AUSTIN AUSTIN AUSTIN!!!! Can’t say this enough. If you do the VIP tour please ask for Austin. He is the BEST tour guide in the world!!! His true love and enthusiasm for the park and the studios is absolutely contagious!!! He made our tour so FUN and exciting!!!! Definitely a billion out of ten experience!!!! We HIGHLY recommend!!!!

Especially the show, studio tour, animation and decoration is phenomenal, especially the Harry Potter part. Attractions I personally found a little less, many 3D things..

Our first visit here (kids 11 and 13) and we really enjoyed it. It's an expensive day out and isn't quite as good as Disney in our opinion but still glad we visited. Highlights were the actual tour itself which is really interestign and gets to the heart of what it's all about; the fact that it's a working studio makes it even more interesting and there are some good surprises along the way. The Waterworld show is excellent and we also enjoyed Jurassic Park, The Simpsons ride and the Hippogriff ride. We bought fast passes for the selected rides (the middle option) but felt that the value was questionable as the Waterworld would have been quick to enter anyway given its a show, and Jurassic Park queue was not that long so the main value was saving a few mins from the tour queue.
Agree with some of the other reviews that it could do with a few more rides but overall it was a good day out and if we came again I'd stick with the normal ticket until they get a few more rides built (such as Fast and Furious which is coming soon).

Great theme park with the theme of film in the center. Lovingly designed, very well organized and informative. Be sure to book express tickets, so you can enjoy everything without waiting. It is also worth buying the refill cups for drinks - here also many sugar-free vitamin water. In addition, the park has a wonderful view of the surrounding area. Your studio tour is a highlight. Overall a great unforgettable day.

I was there this year on the opening day of horror nights.
This was my second time at the Halloween horror nights in Hollywood.
It was absolutely great again!
The ghost houses you walk through are so faithfully recreated in the movies. Really incredible how much effort Universal Studios put in here.
And the actors managed to scare my partner and me every time.
On waiting times:
We had an express pass, which is quite expensive.
But it can be worth it on the horror nights.
Waiting times without an express pass were 20-65min, depending on the attraction.
For an amusement park, that's still normal, I think.
I can absolutely recommend the Halloween horror nights to every Halloween/horror fan! Of course, the Express Pass is much more fun.
The only attraction I didn't like so much this year was the Horror Tram. Here it was not possible to be frightened due to the many people who were allowed through at the same time.
I would definitely come back!
On the other hand, Halloween events in Germany are unfortunately a bad joke! ..

Halloween Horror night is a must for anyone that loves Halloween. Last year we attended the Orlando HHN and this year we decided to try HHN in Hollywood. Must say Hollywood had heaps less people we attended 30th October and 31st October which wasn’t too bad but if you want to experience every haunted house you either have to get a fast pass or we chose to attend 2 nights which worked out much cheaper than fast pass. Be prepared to walk a lot and wait in line, but for us this is all part of the experience. The scare zones were great and each of the haunted houses were unique. We loved ghostbusters and A Quiet Place and Terror Tram was great. We thought Halloween Horror Night was amazing and can’t wait to see what they have next year.

We love Universal Florida so being in LA we had to visit. As we walked in there was quite a lot of rubbish on the ground and in the green areas as you approach from the car parks. Not what we are used to seeing at Universal however, once inside it was clean and tidy as expected. For the size of the park its really well done with a lot packed in. The best thing was the studio tour. We queued for around an hour for this but it was worth the wait. Good fun and interesting facts. We ate at the Jurassic Park Cafe which was'nt the greatest so would go try elsewhere in the park for food. Lots of different shopping options to buy your merch and gifts. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

We booked express line. Makes sense. No queuing. The park was good, but everything is very expensive. I just need to know, but we had a lot of fun. Small tip at the jurassic world bahn you don't need to buy a pellegrine for 11 USD. Sitting in the middle is enough😄

endless lines for a few minutes of attraction. Exorbitant costs, including mandatory $35 car parking.

Our tour guide Nick T was amazing!! He was so kind and knowledgeable and he went above and beyond for us, even requesting an extra hour from his supervisor to get us into the Water World show! This tour is worth every penny! The lunch at Moulin Rouge was amazing and skipping the lines enabled us to do all the attractions. Thank you Nick T (Toad)!!

Would highly recommend. Breakfast and lunch included as well as valet parking. Chris was an excellent tour guide and took us right to the front of each line and chose the best seats for us. Would book again in a heartbeat.

I LOVE it @ Universal Studios Hollywood❤️!! The rides are FANTASTIC & the characters are REALLY FUNNY! Always beautifully decorated here @ Christmas time🎄😘💋💋💋! Annual passes are so worth it

Waited two hours to get on Mario kart when we hopped on the ride it broke down we had to wait another hour to get rescued. We were there for three hours. We could’ve been riding other stuff for doing other things. Staff was unsympathetic mostly because some people had mental breakdowns during this ordeal and were screaming obscenities at them. when I asked to be compensated with maybe front of the line passes they told me they couldn’t do anything and if I wanted to ride Mario karts again, I needed to get back in line.

What can I say? The Universal the American pride location especially in Los Angeles. Great place to have fun alone but much better with family

Our family had the best experience with the VIP Experience at Universal Studios. Owen was our group leader and had been working there for seventeen years. He was a wealth of knowledge and super helpful. We enjoyed having him take us through the park sharing fun facts. This tour lets you walk around by the studios and walk through a real set. A good buffet lunch is provided and they are nonstop handing out water bottles. You get to skip the long lines for the rides. The longest we waited was maybe for 10 minutes for the Mario ride. Well worth it!

Often very long queues for short rides in the rides.
Prices for food and drink are also excessive.
If you don’t care about either or you capitalistically prioritise coves, you can enjoy a nice day in a beautiful park.
The studio tour is great though!

I had a good time, I just feel like once you pay for a ticket it should give you access to more. I feel it a bit excessive to get inside the theme park and then pay even more for “exclusivity “

For movie lovers and is not a must-see attraction suitable for everyone
The best part for us the train ride through the TV studios

Amazing night, but be warned, not for those who don't like a scare.
Went last night and was amazing. 1st time doing this night. Managed to do all 10 haunted houses and also the nitro circus as well, which was amazing.
Be warned it's a long night. Started at 5 pm, left the park at 2.15am, and had done over 26000 steps.
Food and drink were reasonable prices. The actors were great, scaring all along the way between haunted houses to visit.
Notice this is not for children. My partner is 37 and came out of the 1st house crying due to the scares.
Deffinatly one to do again next year.
Great time, done in one day!
We went on a Tuesday in November and it was a great day. Not too busy, didn’t have to wait long at all! We managed all the rides apart from Jurassic park as it was closed. We did have a promotion on our ticket for 2nd day free but we didn’t need it as we did everything in one day. We arrived at opening time and left just before they closed at 6. We did the studio tour too which was great! Whilst we were on the tour, they were filming at a house and we were about to enter a sound stage, we waited for a bit then said we couldn’t go in at the moment and would loop back around but never went back to it so that’s a shame. A lot of the rides are similar like strapped into something and being moved around watching a big screen rather than a rollercoaster so I did feel sick at times from the motion! Had a Krusty burger for lunch which was a long wait, probably longer wait than the rides!
We even went on some rides twice, so glad we managed to do everything, I can’t imagine going when the park would be even busier! They are building a new fast and furious actual rollercoaster which looked good but opens in 2026. The longest we waited for a ride was probably 20 minutes. But the queue areas are so big so you’re walking a long way to get to the queue but I’m guessing the queue areas are so long ready for the busy days! Harry Potter, Mario and simpsons were fab!!
