This is a small production winery and a tasting room outside. It is covered but you might get wet in a downpour. The wines here were our favorites in Temecula and we joined their wine club. Bryce was our server and very helpful and informative. Enjoyed the olive oil and bread that is served with the wine. Our favorites were Cab Franc, Estate Grenache, Cab Sauv, Cowbell and Commonwealth (pretty much all of them!).

One of the best places making wine in the region. Never been disappointed. The views are just as amazing as the owners and staff. Do yourself a favor and save this one for the end. Once the delicious goodness crosses your lips, You will not want to leave.

Hot air ballon ride with wine and breakfast afterwards was fantastic. Enjoyed our time with the Vindemia Family.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent hot air balloon ride in the morning and lovely wines! We would certainly recommend this low keys, relaxing winery to all!

This was our second winery stop in Temecula for the day, and we absolutely loved it! The outdoor seating and tasting area was cozy with gorgeous views, and the staff were knowledgable and accommodating. You could tell they really enjoyed their jobs! Would definitely recommend and visit again our next trip to Temecula!

We love this winery! Great people and wine. Owner is knowledgeable and friendly. We always enjoy our visits.

This winery makes by-far the best wines I've had in Temecula Valley. After moving to Southern California from the bay area, we were disappointed by most of the wines we had in Temecula but this winery is the exception. They have excellent bold reds and even great whites. They are definitely not the most affordable wines in the valley but they are hands-down the best.

It was an adventure to find this winery but was happy we stuck to it. It's unassuming, casual, set up like in their backyard and if you stop there you will miss out .... the Reds are A-MAZing! Our server was full of knowledge about how they do everything on site and I can't say enough about the Reds.... delicious!
I've already told multiple of my friends about this place and I'm not one to recommend lightly.
Enjoy!

Tough to find a wine here that's NOT good. Fun tasting. Who doesn't need More Cowbell!!!!! You can't go wrong.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions we had. They offered us a brief history of their winery and it added to our overall experience. We're glad we made the visit.

Enjoyed a beautiful hot air balloon ride at sunrise with a very experienced pilot. The views were amazing, we even saw the ocean on the horizon. Being up early allowed great views of the other hot air balloons as they rise too. The winery offered mimosas and a lovely Zinfandel after our flight and a delicious breakfast spread. We lucked out and there was a birthday so they provided cake too! The winery has lovely sitting areas with a relaxing feel and beautiful scenery. Very romantic morning. â¤ď¸

This was a lovely stop on our wine tasting excursion. This is not a big, commercial winery, but a cute little outdoor tasting area with a beautiful garden and patio setting. We were lucky enough to get Art who was very passionate and knowledgeable about the craft of wine making! This was a refreshing break from the crowded, bigger stops along this route! Great red wines as well!

If the heat is a concern for you be aware. The hostess was so pleasant to share time with.... genuine and peaceful. Wines were really good and we found 2 to buy. Prices fairly reasonable. Dog friendly.

It's a casual tasting space under shade tarps. The wines are very nice - especially the reds - but a little out of our price range. The tasting felt a little rushed, but we had a nice time.

We had a wonderful stay here, followed by a hot air balloon tour of the area. Vindemia is one of the biggest winery resorts in Temecula, and our suite was not only gorgeous, but we loved the bed linens so much we bought some once we returned home. (So cozy!) would definitely recommend a stay here!

A nice change from the opulent pretentious wineries with huge villas and gardens. This is a small hillside location with several nice seating areas with great views. A simple outdoor counter with pleasant servers offers tastings. A bit pricy at $35 for 6 samples and it turned out none were to our liking to spent (typically) $60 for a red. And we weren't impressed with the whites. Your tastes may vary. Still, recommend this over the bigger places.

We had a lovely time at a wine tasting and bought several bottles. We felt we had personal attention and would definitely go back!

My wife and I are definitely not sophisticated wine tasters. Michael made us very comfortable, taught us a few things and made a memorable experience. We liked that Vindemia was a small boutique winery and not a gigantic corporate megalith. They gave us time to enjoy our first southern California tasting.

Love! â¤ď¸ great wine - great people. Add this stop to your list!
Merlot
Barbera
More Cowbell
Enjoyed it all.

Everybody works there are friendly. We took the balloon ride, it was nice prepared so I am not even scared. They will consider the wind and bring you to the best spot to ride the balloon.

Love their wines, my third visit, Michael is fantastic......peaceful, good company, great weather, great views!

Unforgettable. The service was great. The help was amazing. And the ride was spectacular. Will recomend this winery and ballon ride to all.

The staff is friendly, wine is wonderful, the setting was simple and beautiful outside. Other visiting members were a testament to this winery, friendly and fun. LOVE the small vibe here, no buses or party vans. People come here for the WINE...

Beautiful setting
Very friendly staff
Fine wine
Cant wait to come back and take a hot air balloon over Temecula wine country
Exceeded our expectations

Little-known wine development with potential for the creation of mid- and high-range wines. With very attractive landscapes and quiet, relaxed places to enjoy wine

We have been so many times to temecula wine country but this was a first visit here, and WOW we Love It! By far the best red wines in the valley. The wines are great, views amazing, and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Kristy served us at the tables, we bought a picnic and she gave us phenomenal table service and so personable. We will be going back very soon! A hidden gem you don't want to miss!!

Absolutely beautiful winery nestled in the hills of beautiful Timacula. The hot air balloon ride we took was the highlight of our week stay in Southern California. Very professional staff after our balloon ride went up to the winery had a few drinks and a great breakfast

Super friendly, accommodating, and knowledge staff. Made a point of getting to know our names and a bit about us. We enjoyed a peaceful tasting at our own pace, and had a lovely picnic in the seating area afterwards.

We have been members at Vindemia for 2 years now and have thoroughly enjoyed our wine club, the intimate member get-togethers, and the occasional visits for a relaxing glass of wine on a sunny afternoon. The staff is always fun and informative and the wine is always well crafted. After tasting wine at many other wineries, Vindemia is the best in Temecula

Really enjoyed our wine tasting experience. I brought my brother and sister-in-law during their visit and we had a great time. Micole really knows about wine, and more particularly the wine we enjoyed. He was able to make recommendations for pairings and knew the stories behind the wines. It was an impressive display, both in his part and of the wines themselves. It's clear they put a lot of passion into the wines, both in the varietals and the blends.

Throughly enjoyed stopping and tasting wines at Vindemia. The quiet and solitude was a refreshing change from the noisy and boisterous atmosphere that one usually encounters at Temecula tasting rooms. The wines are superbly crafted and are worth taking the time to savor through the tasting process. Well worth the stop and the purchase of some of their fine wines.

Told us they couldn't accommodate us to taste but we could buy wine!! 8 ladies and hundreds of dollars of sales??? Reason im complaining is they had 2 people working and only one person tasting. I guess business must be great!!!

Love love love their sauvignon blanc! If you are down here make sure to visit this very awesome vineyard, awesome people and great wine!!

Wonderful start to our day hosted by Stacy who was in her second day as part of the Staff. Great knowledge of wines being served and very pleasant in conversation. David stopped by to chat as well and offered a hidden bottle of Barbera which was terrific. The outdoor, quaint venue was quite comfortable including a visit from one of the local roadrunners who seemed right at home. Vindemia was the highlight of our day in Temecula.

I did a marriage proposal and everything since the early wake up until the stunning views were worth it. I recomend anyone to do this activity because people are nice and very professional. Very nice plan.

Very informative. Very friendly and relaxing visit they make you feel right at home. We came to Jolla to for our nieces wedding. During our stay in California I had the pleasure of visiting Temecula wine country absolutely beautiful. Vindemia Estate Winery team were very friendly , they make you feel right at home. loved our visit.

Awesome tasting wines! Love the outdoor tasting room, it's very relaxing with great views of Temecula. The staff is also very friendly.

This is a small family owned winery and the wine tasting is outside. We enjoyed having the owner/ wine maker serve and tell us about his wines. We felt the price of the wines was a bit overpriced for the taste, but this is a small operation. I recommend visiting, very enjoyable.

Love the people and the wines ! Really great place to visit. If you have a chance to talk with the winemaker please do - he is a total kick!!

We took my mom up for her 80th birthday, she loved it! We all had a wonderful experience! I highly recommend them.

We tasted wine at Vindemia yesterday. The setting is casual. You taste outside but the area is covered by umbrellas. It might be too hot on some days to taste this way. The wine was good. We met some really nice people while tasting wine here.

Excellents wines and very affordable prices, very friendly owners who make some of the best wine in the area, its just a matter of time before the prices really go up, if you know your wines they you will really appreciate this small winery.

Fabulous wines. Unpretentious. Amazing service. Love the intimate atmosphere. Go to the tasting area and enjoy your wine in the many soft setting or table areas outside.

Great experience! Had a blast. The Pilot really knew his stuff. The anticipation while waiting for the balloons to fill and seeing the enormous size and scope of what we were about to do was exhilarating. The we were off. Breathtaking!

Good wine selection, both whites and reds. Took two bottles homes. Would be nice if they gave a complementary tasting if you purchase two bottles like some wineries.

We loved our experience and the wine! That's why we joined the wine club.We hope to stay at the Bed & Breakfast next summer.

We arrived mid afternoon on January 3, 2020 and were greeted by the winery representative (I forgot her name but sheâs recently moved to CA from FL) who was lovely to talk to. We enjoyed the ambience of the outdoor winery, the beautiful landscaping, and the wines. We had to be conscious of luggage weight so we only bought one bottle of wine, but weâll be back some day with an extra suitcase to buy more.

My mother and I went here to grab just one glass of wine. We both had not been to this winery before. It was so beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Paige helped us out and told us about each wine. We will definitely be coming back.

We visited this winery because when I researched Temecula wineries, it was the 3rd top rated winery. We aren't wine specialists, but we do visit a number of wineries each year. This place shouldn't be in the top 10, or 20. To start, parking is in a dirt lot and you have to walk up a series of steps to reach the outdoor tasting area. No accomodations for physically or age impaired patrons. This it the ONLY tasting area, a small area covered by a tarp. Porta potties near the parking lot. With that said, we are in favor of boutique or up and coming wineries. The wine makes the winery.
We shared a tasting. $20 paid up front. The wines were terrible. The pours were very, very small and we poured them into the bucket after one taste. There are many good or great wineries in Temecula Valley and this isn't one of them.

Vindemia is in the midst of the wine region but it's off the main road so it's easy to miss. Don't miss it!
We got there early and there was only one other group there. The tasting room is an unpretentious beautiful outdoor space in the midst of the vineyard. It's shaded, don't worry! Even in the midst of a heatwave, it was comfortable!
We were greeted as we arrived and walked up personally to the tasting area - a perk of arriving early, I'm sure - but it was much appreciated! We were lead on a tour of the wines - a few are created using grapes from local vineyards but most are using estate-grown grapes. The tasting flight was really lovely. We were taught about each wine, how they were created, what the winemaker's goal with each was. It was the most thoughtful wine tasting of the weekend - we even had a chance to chat with the winemaker. I'm so glad we went! I'm also super glad it was the first tasting of the day so I could really experience the wines.
It was $20 for the tasting but was well worth it. I found the $20 tastings were notably better than the $15 in the area.
I recommend it highly!

I've been here a couple times and really enjoy their outdoor tasting area with beautiful views over the valley. Good wines and friendly staff.

My husband and I with one other couple came to the winery on a Sunday. It was a nice visit with good wine. The service was not great. The woman working at the bar was nice but when it came time to purchase the wine they did not put our expensive tasting toward the bottles we purchased. We had been thinking about joining the wine club but it was expensive and that seemingly little thing helped us make the decision. We left with two bottles of wine and a little bit of a bad taste in our mouth.

Nice place, it was a hot day so we were worried about no indoor tasting, but they have some nice spaces to relax and there was a nice breeze and great views. David was fun and informative. Wines were tasty, they are in the dry side so know that when you go. We enjoyed them and will return.

Quite surprised to find wine of this caliber in Temecula, it had 20 yes. since our last visit. Vastley better wines all around but this piece is a jewel.

A wonderful surprise. A winery focusing on the wines not the building - love it. This is a repeat for us.

We took a visiting couple to Temecula for a day of wine tasting. One stop was Vindemia. After the wonderful reviews, we were shocked that it was just a counter on a hillside with a few mismatched tables and chairs around. And porta-potties. Yes, the view is lovely. The wine was good but expensive. So many fun places to visit in Temecula - I suggest you skip this one.

Enjoyed our visit immensely. The young lady who conducted our tastings was helpful, knowledgeable, warm and personable. The wines were excellent. Can recommend this winery highly.

Great service and even better wine. Great recommendations and understanding of their wine and the Temecula valley.

We were wine tasting in Temecula and this was our third stop of the day. Vindemia has a rustic outdoor, shaded tasting area complete with tables and chairs for enjoying the view. If youâre looking for an upscale venue and without a port a potty, this is not that type of operation. However, the vibe is laid back and casual.
Brie was pouring and she was a fountain of information about the wine, vintages, and when prompted, additional suggested stops for more wineries and lunch. Vindemia has several big reds so if you like red, I suggest this winery. Prices are a little high but the quality is very good. You get what you pay for.

This was my 2nd visit to Vindemia and it didnât disappoint. The wine is amazing, the atmosphere kind of swanky and refreshing, and the service is superb. Micol is attentive, knowledgeable, and so much fun. The owners are down to earth and come and chat with the tasters. The outdoor venue on top of the vineyard has a spectacular view and a totally dreamy feel. And did I mention the wine is amazing? If you are in Temecula wine country, donât miss this one of a kind boutique wine experience.

I would recommend this to anyone, this was a once in a lifetime experience. Everyone was exceptional with professionalism. Dylan our pilot was very nice.. and did a awesome job.
Thank you
CParker

Highly recommended. Beautiful wines, great stories. Ask for Karen! Sheâs awesome! The More Cowbell and Commonwealth are so good!

This is one of the smaller wineries, with a view! The tasting was really informative and you could tell the staff enjoys their job. We liked being able to taste different years of the same wine. Fun experience. Put this one on the short list!

Best use of Time Time Management. You don't have to do the Balloon Ride but SO GLAD we did! Dave, the owner of the winery and master skilled balloonist of 38 years, gave us an VERY informative ride with town scoop and history! Ask him anything! His crew were all highly professional, down to earth and perfect for the First Timer. Afterwards we were driven back to the site of the winery where we had nice morning "eats" and beverages of mimosas, juices and wine samplings. The wines were very good. The overall feel was comfortable, quaint, and not slick or fancy. We sat among the rolling terrain and the view was beautiful, like that of a far off destination in another country! Gail, Dave's wife, was warm and welcoming and it felt like family! The ambiance was of a different "flavor" from the other wineries we had already visited and I'm glad. Memorable, indeed.

Karen was very friendly & made it a great wine tasting experience. Wines were good & loved the outdoor wine tasting.

We love this place. Views are amazing, wine is amazing, staff and people there are amazing. Cannot recommend this place enough.

My wife and I just about missed going to Vindemia for wine tasting on our 34th wedding Anniversary, but luckily we didn't. VERY LUCKY. If you like Reds, as we do, you must not miss this winery. From the luscious Estate Syrah, to the awesome âMore Cowbellâ (Zinfandel), or the wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon as, well as, the many other great blended wines we tasted⌠Vindemia is a must visit!!! You won't de disappointed....

A little pricey, but just right for the special occasion it was. We'll go back. Everything else was divine!

we found this winery driving and going to other places we had not seen. We just stumbled upon this winery and it was so amazing. Its so open and quiet you can bring food and have a picnic and enjoy a wonderful bottle of Syrah.

Intimate setting, friendly people & big, bold reds make this our favorite Temecula winery đˇ Recommend the Wine Club for best value, fun events & access to exclusive releases.

We stopped by here after visiting a more commercial winery, and this was a completely different experience. Vindemia is a small-medium sized winery with a personal touch. We were the only patrons during our visit so naturally we had a very personal experience but I'm sure it would have been similar if there were others. The lady who served us gave us some background information about the owner and winery, and some anecdotes about the wines we were drinking, and was friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed at the wine bar area but there was a space laid out with couches and chairs where you could take in the views of the hills and surrounding vineyards.

We have visited Vindemia twice in the Summer of 2016 and have been blown away by the delicious red wines here. It is an outdoor tasting area with some comfortable seating areas if you want to enjoy a glass of wine. It is not a big commercial winery. It is a smaller winery that just focuses on making outstanding wine. Our favorites are the Cabernet Sauvignon and More Cowbell. We joined the Wine Club after our last visit and are looking forward to getting our first shipment soon.

Saved the best for last and it did not disappoint! Best wine in Temecula, hands down. Do yourself a favor!

We visited Temecula wine country on our trip to San Diego, and we were unimpressed with some of the mega wineries out there, but we found Vindemia a but off the main path. Located on a gravel road, it's a far cry from the clean lines of say Callaway or Wilson's Creek, but that's what made it unique and special. We did a tasting, outside, on a beautiful day and then asked to walk the vineyards ourselves. That's where I asked my girlfriend to marry me in fact! When we got back to the tasting counter, our taster Amanda was overjoyed and offered to take our pictures. Such a great experience, and Vindemia made it a perfect place to propose. Highly recommended

After seeing this winery on L.A. Little Women, we had to check it out.
This is a very small and personable winery that produces primarily full bodied reds. They also have a couple of whites, but their strength is their reds.
Because of it's 'quaintness', there is an excellent chance you will get to meet the winemaker and chat with him about the wines. They are open 7 days a week, so the winemaker may not always be available.
The whites are good to drink right away, but we thought the reds needed more time to develop and should probably be aged for a couple of years.
As this is a boutique winery, one should expect that the wines will be pricey, and they did not disappoint in this regard.
The winery is a bit off the beaten path, but in the heart of Temecula Valley Wine Country. All tasting facilities are outdoors, so probably not a good idea to visit in inclement weather.
Cheers!

I always start my tastings in this particular winery. The wine is one of the best in the area, specially the cowbell wine, and the scenery is beautifully rustic/raw. Unfortunately, the interaction with our host was average, nothing special. Not really interested in explaining much about the wine. He was just pouring. We also had to queue him every time we were ready for the next pour. I will continue to come back for the wine.

After consulting Trip advisor, we decided to make this our first stop in Temecula. Setting is beautiful, wine was good, not great. Tasting bar is outside, covered. We were there on a beautiful day, Friday afternoon. If it was raining, chilly,or hot, it probably wouldn't have been as enjoyable. No food, but bread/oil during tasting. I thought the listing on TA said food and wine. Luckily,we were informed of good places to head to lunch, which were very close.
First visit to this part of California. We were all pleasantly surprised by the quality of wines/wineries overall.
Lastly, this winery has trip advisor cards prominently displayed at the bottom of tasting menu, thus giving it a higher ranking than deserved in my opinion.

Karen was great and very knowledgeable and described each wine I tasted perfectly.
A must visit if you love the red Cabernet wines.

Love this winery. Did a hot air ballon and tasting after. Met the wine maker. Was an awesome experience and excellent wines.

This was my second visit, and while my first visit was good, this one was disappointing. The wines themselves are pretty good, unlike most of the wines you find in Temecula.
The problem is the pricing on these wines has gotten out of hand. Two years ago I bought their Grenache Blanc for $36. Today itâs $64. Now I know thereâs been inflation, but nearly doubling the price is gouging. Also last time I was here they waived the tasting fee with a two bottle purchase. Now they donât waive the tasting fee at all unless you join the wine club.
I bought some bottles last time I was here but this time I walked away empty handed.

This winery is the best! The wines are terrific and love their family style atmosphere. They genuinely enjoy sharing their knowledge of wine making and their vision of the winery's future. I love tasting their wines, sitting overlooking the fields. It's a great way to spend an afternoon.

Amazing service from Karen and high quality wine tasting! Bought two bottles, Grenache and commonwealth. Our dogs were greeted with water bowls and so many pets!

My friends and I stumbled on this winery on a whim. It was one of the best experiences of my recent trip to Temecula wine country. Great wine! Good vibes all around.
The owner is a great guy who really knows his stuff when it comes to wine. Ill definitely be making a trip back for sure.

Some of the best wine in Temecula Valley. We kinda have a rule to taste at least two times before we join a wine club but it was just so good we joined on the first visit. Laura was our server and was fantastic! Even the owner, David comes by and hangs out with the guests. Great wine, great people.

It was a beautiful day, wine was great and the hospitality was awesome! Paige Allyson gave us some insight of Vindemia's wine, she took care of us, she was very sweet!

We did a wine tasting! Enjoyed a very nice day on the patio area right in the middle of the vineyards. Dennis was able to give us the details about each wine we picked out to try. So many great choices and flavors. Very happy we stopped by to enjoy this experience. :)

This place doesn't leave a great first impression - dirt road entrance and parking in the dirt, porta-potty restrooms out front, the tasting bar is a little rustic hut. But once you get seated and start tasting the wines it shows it's good side. I had just come from Wilson Creek winery which is the complete opposite of this place, flashy and crowded with bad wines. There were very few others there when we showed up on a Thursday, and we mostly got the outdoors tent to ourselves. The view over the small valley is pretty nice, and this area gets more of a breeze than others. The wines were great, better than any others I've tasted in Temecula (we also tried a Europa Village tasting earlier that day, which was really bad). Ended up buying two bottles and walked away happy.
I guess the one thing I'd say is don't expect much in the way of service (you have to go to the bar yourself after each wine to get the next one, and they didn't come with tasting notes). But that felt fine for this winery's style, a bit rough around the edges.

David is an amazing owner. Incredible, high quality wine! Friendly atmosphere. Family owned and makes you feel as if youâre part of their family! Please support their business. Incredible hospitality!

Away from the valley for 4years. Back for a visit today and found this beautiful place. Loved all the wines and had a great guide Mike. Bought a bottle of the cowbell for later. Will definitely return on my next visit.

Overpriced wine tasting. Basically someone's backyard. Dirt parking lot and rv bathrooms in rhe parking lot and they were horrific, the smell was vomitable.

Great red wines in an intimate, outdoor setting. Amy at the tasting bar was so helpful and a joy to chat with. Belinda, who manages the wine club, is also very sweet & helpful. The Syrah, Grenache & Port were our favorites, so we ordered some to be shipped to us back home. Another bonus about this winery is that the owners also run one of the best hot air balloon companies in Temecula, California Dreamin'. After the balloon ride, we had a nice continental breakfast with a glass of champagne/mimosa at the winery and we soon realized how much we love the relaxing setting of the winery. They also have a few sweet winery dogs. Dezy and I became fast friends! Highly recommend this hidden gem of a winery!!

Smaller winery. Art was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Nice views of the valley too. Glad we stopped by for the tasting.

We spent an hour here tasting mostly red wines, which is their specialty. They also offered two whites, both of which were excellent. The reds were very excellent too. Great stories about some of the wines offered. Be sure to ask about the Baby Doll Red Head. Host was very congenial and even took pictures of the guests.

The wine tasting at Vndemia was much more fun for me than the Vegas-style atmosphere at some of the other wineries in Temecula. I liked the feeling of being outside so close to the vines and talking to employees who really know their grapes and wines in depth. The wines were superb, too!

We're members and we love the wines and the atmosphere. It's a great outdoor setting and dog friendly which is important to us. They continue to improve the tasting area with shady seating and service improvements.

Visited Vindemia for the second time in the Spring and once again had an amazing experience. The wines are wonderful and the view is one-of-a-kind! A truly relaxing venue with warm and personal service.

The winery owner also runs hot air balloon rides. This winery is very rustic, but the wines are superb. I recommend their blend (Bluebell) as well as their Syrah. The Viognier is also very nice. They have by-far the best membership deal in town - if you become a member, you get 4 free tastings every day plus discounts on bottles. You can seat in any of the various picnic tables around the property or the central area. The visitor's bathroom is a Port-a-potty and is terribly dirty. Their hospitality is good, but there is no food served - you can bring your own though.

Excellence and quality in:
1) wine
2) customer service
3) ambiance
4) wine
This boutique winery is a hidden gem. Enjoy!

We popped into this boutique little winery and weâre not disappointed. Great wine, great setting, Gino was super informative and a pleasure to converse with. Dog friendly which is a plus. This is a cute little spot to not miss.

The tasting is outside and has a beautiful view of vineyard. Brian provided a great experienced. She answered our questions and knew so much information about the wine. This was by far the best tasting we did at Temecula. This is a must see for everyone planning a trip!!!

I will start by thanking our hostess Kim! She was spectacular and we really appreciate her time and patience with our group. Next most important is the wine at Vindemia is fantastic! The tasting area is small and intimate with a very family like atmosphere that I personally loved. Vindemia is a must visit when in Temecula looking for a great wine.

To be honest, Temecula wineries overall tend to be pretty mercenary. A day tasting wines there can really add up.
We had made a picnic and were looking for a nice place to eat and buy a bottle of wine. The signs at almost all the big, corporate type wineries announced: no outside food or drink. If you don't eat in their expensive restaurants they don't want you around.
Then we happened across Vindemia. We sampled the wines (at the usual $3 a pour; but got a 2-for-1 deal) and asked if we could picnic on the grounds. We were welcomed with open arms. The lady at the tasting counter brought down a bottle of chilled rose and a bottle of water. She checked on us to make sure we had what we needed. We ended up spending 2 hours there, enjoying the wine, the vineyards and a lovely setting.
For the record, Vindemia doesn't not have an expensive restaurant to protect.
There's really a family feel to the whole experience -- almost like the old days in Temecula or Paso Robles before the big boys moved in.
The wines are nice. The cabernet franc was light and fruit. The rose was nice and dry but had some body. We enjoyed a pleasant tasting in a beautiful setting.
Vindemia is at the end of the paved road and up a dirt road. There's plenty of parking. It's not fancy. There are outhouses for the guests to use -- very nice outhouses to be sure.
From what we observed, people were actually having a laid-back, good time at Vindemia.

Wine selection they have is limited but are all excellent. sommelier was very good and knowledgeable for their product. we bought several bottle of wines as well.

A stunning surprise! We received a "hot tip" about Vindemia being a local winemakers' favorite, but we weren't prepared for the intensity and complexity of the offerings from this fairly young winery. The 2012 More Cowbell has become our favorite wine, and each of our friends with whom we shared it has made a trip to Vindemia to get more. Now we're afraid it may sell out!

We started with a hot air balloon ride with California Dreaminâ which was an amazing and peaceful experience! The pilots were very knowledgeable and personable. Afterwards, we went to the winery where we all met for the ride (Vindemia) and had a delicious wine tasting. We were able to speak with Julian for a bit and he told us all about the winery and his experience with hot air balloons. It was a blast! Highly recommend! đ

This is a self described âmom and popâ winery. Itâs an outdoor tasting, so if youâre expecting a building with AC this isnât for you. The wine was goos with reds being their specialty. The view alone is worth the stop!

Outdoor tasting room with excellent red wines. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable making our experience enjoyable. Best to visit when it is not too hot as their tasting room is outside.

We love tasting here or buying a bottle and enjoying a picnic. Seriously delicious wines in a rustic, peaceful setting.

What a fun outdoors off the beaten path wine tasting we had today.... Can't wait to return during the summer!

My husband was celebrating his birthday and we decided to revisit Temecula. I did some research looking for wineries that were pouring Viognier. I discovered Vindemia and to our delight found this breath taking view with an outside tasting room where they were pouring some lovely wines. The woman serving us was knowledgeable, friendly and added to our visit. We look forward to a return tasting in the not too distant future.

Vindemia has a very laid back vibe with a minimalist outdoor tasting room. However, donât let the relaxed atmosphere mislead you. The owner, vintner is very hands on and serious about making excellent wine. Stop by and let them ease their way into your cellar.

Learned a lot. Some wines very good. Some mediocre. Well worth the visit and tasting. Very pleasant wine pourer and very well informed.

My wife and I in spite of the rainy weather decided to check out this winery. Taylor, our server was exceptional offering many different options. The wine, although pricey for some was very smooth. The tasting price was comparable to the other wineries in the area. We were so impressed that we bought a bottle to bring back to Minnesota with us. With all the indoor wineries in the area, Vindemia is one to check out. You won't be disappointed.

I read on Trip Advisor this winery was listed as top 10 to visit inTemecula. So we were surprised at the outdoor tasting bar barely protected from the hot sun. The next surprise was the higher tasting fee of $30 than we had encountered elsewhere. The wines were nothing special. The woman who helped was friendly but another server, a man, was constantly using expletive-laced language. We couldn't wait to get away from there and to hopefully warn others away from this negative tasting experience.

The visit was nice. Staff was attentive and friendly. Wines were good. The views were beautiful. I would definitely visit this winery.

First stop and a good one. Justin was our wine consultant and he was very informative, taking us on a great tasting experience. Only reason we gave it a 4 was that we wished they could send to NJ

Different atmosphere than the usual winery. Minimal food choices, very expensive, but overall good. I might recommend it again; however, it's not what I would consider a fancy place. Casual dress is okay.

Very relaxed atmosphere. Art knew what he was talking about when telling us all about not only his wines, but the area. Wines are expensive, but we all agreed some of the bests we had. Expensive wines, but the were great.

I have to admit that I am no wine connoisseur. I was in Temecula staying at a casino and didn't want to gamble the whole day so I went on Trip Advisor and saw all of the wineries in the area. So I embarked on an adventure and this winery was first up. I pulled up and met a beautiful and nice person,Bree. She was so nice to talk with. I think well over an hour went by until I figured I should move on. She made my day with some great conversation and a few tips for the rest of my day which was awesome. I highly recommend this be your first stop on your tour and if you see Bree say hello for me.

The staff of Vindemia Estate Winery was top notch and made our group feel right at home. Because we had to arrive in the early morning before sunrise, it was cold. We were offered blankets and hot drinks - nice touch! The whole journey to the balloon site and the balloon experience itself was invigorating and so fun! Our pilot was super knowledgable about the the area. Wine tasting and snacks back at the winery after the balloon ride was great, too! I highly recommend this winery and experience! 5-Stars!!

We visited 6 wineries and Vindemia stands out for two great reasons...ambience and great wine. Enjoying a wine tasting out
among the vines, overlooking the rolling hills certainly fits the description of a day in wine country, but the quality of the wine was not overshadowed by the location! Amazing quality. Top of my list for my next visit!

They make some of the best wines in the Valley. The place is rather rustic. The vineyard has some unique properties that the winemaker understands to exploit. If you already know something about winemaking and you have the chance to meet the winemaker/owner, be prepared to have the experience of your life.

This is a winery that knows how to treat people! I can't think of a better place to spend time and make memories. I always walk away with a smile and several bottles of wine.

Beautiful outside tasting makes this a great place to stop when visiting temecula valley! A real gem of a find!

On a recent day of wine tasting, we stopped here with another couple. Denis did a great job giving us the history of the winery and owners. Their wines were better than what we had at Monte De Oro and Denis was very knowledgeable on all the pours we had. The tasting area is smaller than most, but not inhibiting, making it more personable. We enjoyed the experience and would recommend Vindemia if in the area.

We have visited Vindemia several times and have never been disappointed. Definitely a welcome change from the party vibe of nearby large wineries - this rustic outdoor tasting area gives vibes back to how CA wine tasting âused to beâ. Youâll be welcomed at their tasting bar with some of the most outstanding red wines Temecula has to offer - More Cowbell is a must try, and none of their wines will leave you disappointed. Wine club members taste for free or get a free class of wine, and get a discounted shipment or pickup of their excellent wines several times a year. Highly recommend checking out this chill, relaxed spot for beautiful views and delicious wines!

Super fun. Go see Gino and cal him a dingaling for fun. Excellent location and people are really friendly

A great place to taste wines and enjoy the beautiful view....relaxing with friends.....I had a wonderful time....I will visit again and bring more friends....

Really had a great time here. Beautiful views the food looked amazing! Service was great and attentive. Nice wines and would visit again

What a great tasting. They haven't invested much in their facilities yet, but their wines are on point! Big, solid reds (with one white) and a very knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend.

This was our last stop! And it was a perfect ending to our Mothers day tasting trip. The views are great and the Wines were wonderful!

Grapeseed spa is absolute heaven love spending the day there lounging and being catered to . Perfect way to celebrate your best friends birthday

Not what I expected after reading the reviews. The great staff? None of these people were there. It was hot, it was outside and no one else was there. The tasting is overpriced. Had a glass of wine and left. Not impressed.

Wines made with passion. Great host. Outdoor setting on the hill. Quality over quantity here. One of the few zinfandels that I enjoyed

Phenomenal wines...phenomenal staff! This spot is such a hidden gem. Best reds I had in Temecula all day, and the servers are friendly and knowledgeable. If you like dry reds and great people, you need to come here!

Friendly outdoor tasting experience with great wines. Enjoyed our time there and would go again. Family owned and operated.

Lovely small winery in Temecula. If you're into complex reds, this is the place. Everyone here is friendly. Expect a pleasant, relaxing tasting. The flagship wine "More Cowbell" is wonderful.

Vindemia Estate Winery offers a relaxed setting with a beautiful view of the Temecula Wine Country. The wine is superb and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful in helping the customer choose from a menu of Vindemia's finest. We enjoy going there in the afternoon and relaxing as we sip a glass of wine and enjoy the rustic and beautiful ambiance! DO visit this off the beaten track winery!

this was a great stop - it was my introduction to the region as a whole. the tasting was informative & enjoyable. i also selected a glass to enjoy out on the patio. shipped wine home (was too easy) and look forward to coming back!
would recommend.

Karen the manager was very friendly and helpful with sharing her knowledge of both the history of the area and the varietals prevalent.
Their Whites were interesting: blends that were imaginative and tasty! Definitely a great casual stop - bring a picnic and enjoy!

Just like the previous comments, small tent structure but attentive Laura who knew her wines. Outhouse bathrooms, seating outside. Small vinyard

While you may pass a few other wineries on your drive to Vindemia, keep driving! Vindemia is one you don't want to miss. The staff who aided our experience, Katie and Stacy, were knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly! My friend and I stayed longer than we anticipated just because of how lovely they were. Even on a drizzly day the outdoor tasting space was comfortable, and the patio was picturesque. I will definitely be back again and highly recommend you visit as well!

First time visiting this winery and it was a beautiful day! I love the olive trees and the outdoor area. It was easy to find a place to sit and the wine was good. My favorite was the Merlot. They are dog friendly which was the best part.

I was truly excited to be part of this experience I was celebrating my bday and had so much fun. People there are very nice very welcoming. At all times they make sure you are ok and greet you with a smile and with goodies.

Michael was the tasting room poured and he was so hospitable. He not only made me feel very welcome but was also entertaining and educational. The wine was very nice as well and they offer you bread and olive oil during the tasting. Itâs all outdoors - very relaxing and peaceful and beautiful view!

We love this winery! Wonderful people, beautiful views and fantastic wines! Give it a try, you will love it too!

Enjoyed the wine very much, it was very good red zin, we purchased some of the More Cowbell and had some sent back to Kansas.

Unfortunately I did not taste any of their wines. They may be good, but the unhospitable service when I first arrived made me walk away. I walked up and was not greeted by either one of the two servers when one of them focused on the group of eight that came in after me and my party. The other server couldn't have been bothered to greet me and say hello. I would not go back again.

Nice ...my wife and I had such a great time.....people in the winery and the guys on the hot air ballon Awasome .. Nice job guys...

We love to go to Vindemia ... staff is wonderful. Always so friendly and helpfull and fun!!! Small family winery which makes it so personable!!!

The wine tasting was on point and the scenery was better than any winery in Temecula. I felt that the Cab was top notch and smooth.

If you want a fun wine tasting off the beaten path don't miss this winery. Angela who was pouring our wine was very knowledgeable, professional a just a delight. She is definitely a people person and Vindemia is so lucky to have her.
Great wine and service from Angela!

This place is located off the main road and up a hill just a bit. This is a casual setting, but not really inviting. The tasting area is a lean to shack outside, which some would say rustic, but I would say, built in a weekend. They have some random patio furniture set around on a small incline which is not the most comfortable way to sit with you chair pitched forward. Restrooms are porta pots. There are some tables and the view is somewhat nice. Limited shade, which can be an issue on hot sunny days. The wines or fine, but not exceptional with all but one wine over $60 with many in the +$75 to $100 range. Tasting was $20 for 5 pours. Not sure if the price gets credited if you buy a bottle. They show you the non club and club price on the Menu which highlights how much profit they have baked into the non club price. There are signs asking guests to please post positive reviews, hence, they have the top rating in the area. VERY casual place with expensive reds. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, but upon leaving not really a place for me.

We went to several 'boutique' wineries the day of our visit to Vindemia. The girl who poured our wine was aweome, knowledgable, fun and smart, we had a lovely time and didn't want the experience to end - and just like our favorite wine - we wanted more Cowbell please. Beautiful place, great wine and great people. Thank you.

Vindemia is a lovely little winery a bit off of the beaten path. Their outdoor tasting room is rustic, but peaceful and tranquil - a very nice change of pace from some of the more popular (and crowded) wineries in the valley. Don't let the rustic nature deter you, though. Vindemia pours the best wines in the valley. Their signature "More Cowbell", their Bordeaux, and Cab Franc reds are sure winners - well balanced with a nice nose. Their white wines, especially the Regatta de Blanc, is lovely on a warm afternoon. The owner and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, happy to talk about their wines, their hot air balloon adventures or just chat. Spending the afternoon sipping wine in their garden-like setting is a lovely way to pass the time. It's like being with family or close friends.

Girls weekend to celebrate Retirement...my daughter recommended Vindemia & we could have spent the whole day here but we had limo waiting for next Winery.

This off the beaten path was quite a find! We really enjoyed the wine. We even joined the Wine Club!

Vindemia Winery sits on a beautiful site and has great wines. We visited for the first time a couple of months ago. Our server was very good and brought us our tastings outside.

If you are looking for a picturesque, sweet little winery with a fantastic staff, this is the one to be at!

All I can say is that we love this winery, very nice and low key. So happy there are no crowds, wine is fantastic.

quite out of the way beautiful place to enjoy wine as a couple or with friends. lovely view from the patio.

Two of my sisters and I visited eight wineries in the Temecula area last weekend and the Vindemia Estate Winery was our favorite. Karen is such a great asset to the estate, which is set in gorgeous surroundings, because she is very knowledgeable and made wine tasting so much fun for us. She told us about a Viognier which was our favorite wine from the entire trip. It was such a fun, relaxing and peaceful outdoor experience.

This was my first visit to this winery for wine tasting. I found the serving staff helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The wine was delicious, especially the Pinot Noir. I intend to visit again.

If you are lucky enough to find it, Vindemia is an absolute gem in Temecula. Find Dennis if you can, he will treat you right!

Enjoyed my adventurous find in Vinemia. How nice it is to wonder into a mellow yet full character environment that is relaxed and beautiful. Best wines I have found in Temecula, I live here and have been doing a bit of hunting. Could not recommend a better winery than this place. Both Davids were cool and had interesting views on wine and Temecula. A+. This winery is my speed. Cheers!

Laura was so great!!! We loved everything about this winery. We had the winery tastings and would highly recommend to anyone. People who appreciate great wine are bound to have a good time.

Enjoyed visiting and tasting Vindemia wines. The server was fabulous and the wines and view were great.

It was a beautiful day and we tasted their wines outside where the view was nice. Iâm not sure there is a tasting room. The whites wines were decent and not overpriced, but I canât say the same for the reds they offered that day. Other wineries recommended them to us, now I wonder why?

Great service, views, and wine. I would definitely recommend!! Sipping on Cabernet, listening to music, and getting lost in the mountain and vineyard views.

Quiet winery with excellent view. Bring a snack and enjoy a bottle. That's the plan for my next visit.

The wine is delicious, but considering you have to walk up a dirt path to the wine tasting shack, I felt the prices were a little high. Also, my husband and I cancelled our membership because the winery discount is awesome, but spending as much as $150 for 2 bottles 5 times per year was definitely steep for us. Considering the winery prices, we were shocked by the shipment prices. BTW...be warned that if you sign up for the wine club you're singing up for a full year. You might want that heads up before you have a few glasses and forget to read the fine print.

Ambience Style Selection of Wines and courtesy staff!!! You're missing out if you choose to go another another place. Thank

Wow! Loved this place! Make sure to stop when you are in Temecula! Add a trip with California Dreamin' and your trip will be complete!

My husband and I were wine tasting yesterday. First off, the wines are incredible. They're much better than the other wineries we visited. Second, the experience was awesome. Michael walked us through each wine and taught us how to taste and truly understand the wine we were tasting. We had so much fun. Third, the view and seating at the winery were beautiful. We ended up coming back at the end of the day to share a bottle. Michael gave us table service and even brought down a speaker and tablet to play whatever music We wanted. We feel lucky to have found this place and we want to come back next year!

My wife and I visited this little winery for our 15th year Wedding Anniversary. They not only have GREAT wines but a very casual atmosphere for wine tasting and conversation. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. We would HIGHLY recommend this winery to anyone who is going to visit the Temecula Wine Country.

Beautiful experience, nice seating outdoors.Trish was absolutely delightful, I'll definitely be back soon

An out of-the-way spot with an outdoor tasting area. The wine is surprisingly good. I still have a couple of bottles stored since we moved to North Carolina. The winemaker is a very nice, low-key guy and the staff are knowledgeable and pleasant. I look forward to a return visit the next time we are in Southern Calif. visiting our son and daughter-in-law.

This winery produces some of the best wines in Temecula. It is simple and off the beaten path making it one of our favorites to visit.

Picturesque setting amongst the foothills of Temecula Wine Country. The vineyards receives the perfect amount of sun with afternoon shade to make tasting there fabulous wines even better. Start the day early with am awesome hot air balloon ride piloted by one the family members who own the vineyard and learn all about the art put forth when they are creating their wines.

Really enjoyed everything from the hot air balloon ride & light breakfast to the wine tasting, mimosas & cheese, AWESOME!

A very expensive tasting, considering the tasting shack and quantity poured for tasting. For our group of six, also a very slow tasting, as not that much wine to taste, and long intervals...
Very different and very expensive wines, also, so the old truth: asking high prices is not crazy, paying is...
A clear 'Tripadvisor disappointment', as no match for the rating.

Vindemia has wonderful estate wines. Each is unique and eclectic. This winery is truly one of a kind.
B

Loved the backyard feel! Felt like I was going to my friends, friends backyard. AMANDA B. 3rd day on the job was great. Gave us water with the wine and coached us on when to cleanse the palette for the next one. She was excited about the wine which was nice to be around. I would love to see bbq served here later on down the road because it has a real "family" feel.

One of the best hidden gems in Temecula. A family fun business - they do hot air ballooning from the same venue. Be sure to check that out, it's a thrill. Wines have won some pretty impressive awards and are the best in Temecula.

This was my favorite place during my recent visit to Temecula. Amy (I think that was her name) was really helpful in telling us about the wines, and all of the wines were good. Go here if you want to really enjoy the wine....

Scenery, atmosphere and servers were terrific.Wonderful place. So glad we stopped in this afternoon.

What a wonderful time we had, It is so nice to see a small boutique outside wine tasting experience. They take such pride in there wines, family winery at its best.

A boutique winery up on a hill looking down onto the vineyard. Wine was very good. We bought the chardonnay.

When in Temecula, don't miss Vindemia winery. It is small and intimate as we sat outdoors and admired the beautiful scenery. I was surprised their was no building, so go on a sunny day and enjoy the view and wine. Our host was very knowledgeable and we did purchase some wine there to take home. If your looking to beat the crowds this is the place to go.

Loved everything about this experience! The balloon crew was great, the breakfast delicious and the wine was amazing!

Always a great time with the nicest people who work there and the absolute best wine! The updates to the patio are a really nice addition.

don't want to write a review because many people will visit here. but i can't be quiet. it's a real hidden gem. my sanctuary, away from tourist bus. small tasting area on the hill but there is huge world of wine. The hosts' knowledge helped me to enjoy. high % but it is not hard to taste (I'm not specialist for wine yet). I'm happy to stop by here that was not our plan, we came here because a winery next of this was closed on the day. the best view in Temecula, too.

Visited for a family vacation and couldnât have chosen a better winery to stop at in Temecula. We started our day at Hart winery which was amazing and they recommended us to Vindemia. We are so glad they recommended because the wine and company was incredible. Angela was an amazing host and the best person to have an intimate wine tasting experience with. We will happily visit again!

One of the most charming spots with incredible varietals. The staff is awesome and always engaging. Always worth the trip when visiting Temecula.

My wife surprised me with hot air balloon tickets and it did not disappoint. Everyone that we met there were very professional and courteous. 360 degree view of Gods county. After we did a wine tour and again we were met with friendly staff and great wine! I recommend the Cow bell.

Great winery! Joined the wine club after not belonging to one for many years. Going to the winery after the balloon ride was excellent!

Vindemia is a usual stop when we visit Temecula. It's not one of the wineries that feel like a bar or tourist attraction. There's a time and place for all that but Vindemia is when you want a more intimate tasting experience with quality wine. Their wine is very good, some of the best reds in Temecula. They are a bit pricey though. Not that the wine isn't worth it, they make it in limited quantities and need to make a profit, but it is pricey for Temecula. Also, buying a bottle doesn't get you free tastings. That's a common practice in other places, not all, but as a consumer, it's HIGHLY appreciated and I'd be WAY more inclined to buy more bottles if I knew my tastings were free.

You should go, they are great. Super small production and absolutely lovely. Looking forward to my next visit.

Went to Vindemia with a couple girl friends a few weeks ago and had an absolute blast! The view is incredible, overlooks some Temecula groves. Also Katie was working, and not only was very pleasant but incredibly knowledgable and recommended some amazing wines!
Thanks to Katie and Vindemia for an amazing Temecula afternoon!

The wine tasting was a little pricey but the wines I had were outstanding. I especially enjoyed the Lonliness red wine blend, which I purchased and drank for Thanksgiving.

Beautiful vineyard with knowledgeable staff. Only all outdoor tasting room in the area. Family owned. Great wines.

Great wine, great ambiance, knowledgeable and kind staff. Would recommend to any/everyone traveling to or through Temecula

Wonderful tasting with Laura as our host! My Dad and I had a blast, trying all our wines as part of the two tastings we ordered. We ended up buying 2 bottles! Wheee! They have a special for military vets, too, which I appreciated very much, as my Dad is a Vietnam vet. Lovely grounds, delicious wines. I loved being able to sit outside with a vineyard view!

Great wine. Knowledgeable staff make for a wonderful wine tasting experience. A must go to vineyard.

1) The staff is extremely friendly.
2) The atmosphere is laid back.
3) Being outdoors enjoying one of the best wines in Temecula is soothing.

Vindemia was a perfect choice to start our day of wine tasting. We were looking for a boutique style winery with the nice view and great wines; and it was exactly what we were looking for.
Justin was great to provide details about wines and fun to talk to. We asked him for recommendations and he pointed on a map the wineries he advised us to visit based on our request. Loved the wine and weâll definitely recommend the winery to the red wine lovers.

This spot is a cool spot to chill and relax with friends while sipping on wine. They allow you to bring your own food to enjoy with the wine!! It was my first time wine tasting. Michael was awesome and taught us a few things. He was accommodating and made it an excellent experience!!

Great wines and a nice break from the crowds! Angela was very personable and the wine tasting was awesome! Will go back for sure.

Definitely one of our favorites in Temecula. The whole staff, from top to bottom are excellent. Must try!

The wine is so good! Amazing staff, friendly, smart, and great service, best in Temecula! ....Two thumbs up !!

We dropped in on our first day of our second trip to Temecula this year. Thinking we were missing something special. Not so. It was hot and dusty. The music was bad sirius coffeehouse and the red wine we tried for $15 per glass wasnât that good.

Thank you Amy and thank you Vindemia for a wonderful visit and delicious wines. We are so glad to have found you amongst the lovely rolling hills of Temecula. We already feel like family.
And thank you Tally from villa Del Vino Ranch for suggesting we try this winery. â¤đˇ

Just had a great trip to this small, family owned winery. Very knowledgeable, good reds...bought 3...outdoor tables to bring your own picnic...we will be back!!

What a lovely trip to a beautiful winery! Purchased the five tasters and there wasnât a bad wine in the bunch! Dennis helped us and he was a delightful and informative man! Went home with several bottles to enjoy at home! Itâs a must stop while in Temecula!

Shout out to Michael who was the best host. This venue is outside and is just gorgeous. Michael was very educational and entertaining. We did a flight of 5 reds and loved them all. They have really made some incredible blends. Nice to have bread and olive oil and a glass of water to cleanse the palate. The vineyard is surrounded by kalamata olive trees and rose bushes. Very comfy sitting areas or come up to the bar for the taste tours. I highly recommend this vineyard. One of the best Iâve experienced in the area.

If there is good weather, you should stop and enjoy the great wine and the great atmosphere. We had the pleasure of Angela pouring for us and she was a blast.
Your life needs âmore cowbellâ, and this is the place to get just that.

however be forewarned that their wines are quite pricey, especially for the Temecula AVA. A recent vintage of Grenache -- while well made and enjoyable -- will put you back $60. These are Napa valley prices for Cabernet but Napa is a world-wide trademark while Temecula is not.

Our group just loved the vibe of this place. Its all outdoors and has this rustic French country ambiance to it. Lots of tables and chairs and beautiful views. Bring some snacks and enjoy! The employee, Ann Marie, added to all the charm. She was a lot of fun and a genuinely nice person. We all really enjoyed chatting with her and lots of laughs were shared. On top of all of that, they had good wine!! We bought several bottles and wasted no time in opening those that same evening and having some Petite Sirah with dinner. I wish I had bought more! We will be back in the spring though and this will definitely be a picnic spot!

My wife and I were wine club members for 2 years. When we visited the winery 6/12/2025, we found that the grounds were in disarray (like there was a party the night before that wasnât cleaned up) and no one was working despite their schedule stating they were open. This was disappointing given we traveled from out of state. When I called them while we were on site, my voicemail went directly to voicemail. I left a voicemail message for them and my wife posted a message to them via their website. I also sent an email message to them 6/12/2025 asking what their hours were. When I didnât receive a response from them on 6/18/2025, I replied to my earlier email with a notification that we were canceling our wine club membership. I received a billing notification via email from them 6/20/2025 indicating they were billing me for two bottles of wine and $6,400.00 SHIPPING costs. When I called them 6/20/2025, my call when to voicemail. However, I was unable to leave a voicemail message because their voicemail message box was full.

Every single time I visit Vindemia Estate Winery I walk away feeling happy and a little bit tipsy. What could be better?

Best wine and ambiance in Temecula! Canât wait until my next visit! The Cabernet Franc is my favorite

Terrific place to relax and enjoy the scenery. We had a great time enjoying the different wines. Itâs a small winery without all the crowds from booze buses.

Great wine, great people and fantastic views of the Temecula wine country. What else could you ask for? The staff is tremendously helpful and friendly, and make everyone feel more than welcome. I Recommend Vindemia to anyone visiting Temecula.

We dropped by having known very little of this majestic winery. My wife, son and I were happily surprised. The family feel (not corporate planned) and panoramic view were a comfortable and relaxing. I must try.

We visited Temecula for the first time for a friends wedding, coming from the Bay Area we get a lot of great wine from Sonoma and Napa, so we were not wowed by most of the wineries in Temecula. The exception being Vindemia! They have a small outdoor tasting area with beautiful views, but more importantly they have really great wine. If you are going to visit Temecula make your way to Vindemia, you won't be disappointed. I recommend the Petit Verdot and the Commonwealth, but we were impressed by most of their wines.

We like to try new wineries when we visit Temecula, and love it when they are still small and personable. We really enjoyed our visit here. We spent some time talking to the winemaker, who is very knowledgeable and unassuming. Our server was the same, and we learned a lot about the wines and the area. The wines are not cheap, but we liked some enough to buy. The only thing I didn't like about the winery was in checking out on the ipad, you are presented with an automatic tip of at least 18%. There may have been a way around it, but I didn't see it, and didn't want to make a scene, so I checked it. This soured our experience quite a bit. We certainly would have tipped him for good service, but not as much 18% based on the amount of wine we bought! If we go back I think we'll bring cash!

Awesome experience in this beautiful settings wine tasting. Cute couches music and tables overlooking vineyard to enjoy a bottle after 6 wine tasting with bread and olive oil. Super friendly. Add to your list!

I was fortunate enough to be invited by a friend who is a wine club member to attend a wine club pick up. This place is worth going to although it should be when the weather is nice since tasting room is outside with the most amazing view. The owners are such fabulous people and every single wine I tasted was excellent. They have very devoted wine club members and now I can see why. If you have not been here yet you need to go.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon on a cloudy day. The outdoor tasting tables are a somewhat different take on presentation of wine tasting but rather nice and helps maintain the casual relaxed feel. We like dry red wines and this winery has plenty of reds, some dry and some fruitily semi sweet. The tasting is a little on the pricey side at $20 but despite that we both had a tasting so between us we could try all the wines on the list. Our server was very helpful and convivial and added a sample glass of a new bottling to our tasting as it came up in conversation that this was newly released. The bread and olive oil was a nice touch during the tasting and we ended with port and chocolate. We liked the wines enough to join the wine club and left with several bottles.
There was a piano player to entertain us during the afternoon which added to the enjoyment of a pleasant visit.
The approach is a dirt road and once parked in the dirt parking lot there's a walk up a small incline to the tasting area. Restrooms are porta potty. So the whole feel is quite rustic, and would be a challenge in heels. The view is very attractive across the estate vineyard.
This winery is well off the main road and buses and limousines are not encouraged here so the small scale tasting area doesn't get too crowded.

Not originally on our short list but two employees at Doffo Winery both recommended it as one of the best in the area. April, who poured our wines, was very friendly and very knowledgeable. The tasting "room" is a very casual outside patio overlooking the vineyards; nothing fancy but very relaxing. Doffo was right, these were some of the best wines we tasted all day.

Very nice stop. Friendly staff who were very knowledgeable of wines. Beautiful seating and easy to find.

I had a wonderful time at Vindemia. I came during the week and the staff was very friendly and helpful and personal. The sitting area was quaint and comfortable. The wine was delicious and we were served bread with dipping oil. Everything was very good. I will go back.
The only reason I didn't rate as excellent was because there were no bathroom facilities, they have porta-potties. But I had to use them and as outhouses go they were the cleanest I've ever seen.

Iâm glad we stopped by in the spring before it got too hot. The outdoor patio is straight from someoneâs backyard; outdoor furniture, old wine barrels and umbrellas. The wine is good and the prices are the same as other places. Way too many great tasting locations to experience before heading to this place, regardless of the rankings.

There were 5 couples in our group that took in this winery and did the hot air ballon ride. The ballon was ride was awesome and highly recommended. The staff is super friendly and it is a family winery. We were very pleased from start to finish. They took care of us well and their wine is pretty good. Would definitely go back.

Excellent customer service and the barback Nick was very courteous and helpful! Definitely will be going back!

One of the best experiences of my life. So glad I decided to take this ride. Looking forward to the next one.

Wonderful low pressure environment and helpful descriptions of the character of the wines. A little history, a little tech, a little art. Wonderful blend of what makes life interesting

I went on the most wonderful Hot Air balloon ride with my husband for my birthday and it was incredible. Everyone should do this, it is so beautiful and peaceful. I love Vindemia Estate winery and they give the most incredible Hot Air Balloon rides.

We went on a hot air balloon ride and we're treated f I rst class all the way. Definitely a high point of our vacation!

We started our wine tasting here and I'm glad we did. They were serving mainly dry red wines. Their estate grown wines are very good to excellent. The 2011 Cabernet was my personal favorite. They have a very casual outdoor space for wine tastings, so if you are looking for large and fancy this is not it. But, we enjoyed the wine enough to join their wine club.

Part of one of their wine tastings and went up for a balloon ride. Highly recommend this winery. Staff treated us like we were family. Very impressed with our entire experience.

Making some of the best wines in the valley, they specialize in dry, bold reds, but with great complexity. Their Cabernets, Syrahs, and Cabernet Francs are outstanding. Highly recommended!

Came here because itâs listed as one of the most romantic wineries to visit. NOPE. The main seating area is under a tarp. The tasting is like $33 which is on the high side and the pours were tiny. It might have been okay but the wine was definitely not to my liking.
Seems way overrated to me.

We visited Vindemia on a beautiful, sunny afternoon. This is a small winery, and very warm and welcoming. Nothing pretentious...just amazing wines! Angela was a knowledgeable hostess and shared the back story on the wines and the winery. She brought the fun. The 2017 Reggatta de Blanc is the best Voignier I have found in Temecula. The 2015 More Cowbell (who doesnât think of Christopher Walken and Will Ferrell when you hear that?) is a remarkable Zinfandel, and the 2015 Common Wealth is outstanding. This winery is off the beaten path, but it is definitely worth visiting. Enjoy!

This is definitely one of my favorite wineries in Temecula! The owners are super nice and accommodating. I've been here twice, the first time with a group, and Michael was kind enough to bring each tasting down to our picnic table while we had some snacks. On my second visit he remembered me, which was very nice. Lovely outdoor space with a great view and delicious wine! Will be back for sure.

As members of Vindemia, my wife make sure to stop by in the middle of rounds each Saturday to have at least one glass of wine. Always quite, quaint a wonderful view.

Great wine and host. Would definitily recommend this small winery. The reds were extremel outstanding, Commonwealth was exceptional.

Fantastic & friendly winery ! Delicious reds (Syrah) and nice mimosas.
We visited this winery after our California Dreamin balloon tour.
Beautiful winery!

Small but wonderful vineyard. Katie greeted us with a huge smile even though we were the first people of the day and arrived just as the tasting room was opening. The wine was great, we were not rushed and we had a wonderful experience.
We had booked a balloon ride with California Dreamin which is owned by the same people as the vineyard. Due to excessively high winds the trip was cancelled but we wanted to stop in to say hello to the owner and thank them for their efforts to get us up. A MUST VISIT VINEYARD IN TEMECULA VALLEY.

We went to Wilson Creek Winery first to start out our wine tour of Temecula. It really set the bar high. Vindemia is a lovely, smaller vineyard. Wines were nice but VERY pricey. The facilities were lacking...port-o-pot bathroom. No sidewalks, just mulch walkway with stairs. We had a baby in a stroller...had to put that away. Might be difficult for others with physical limitations.

Love the friendly atmoshpere and the hostess from STL who poured us some good reds We would definitely visit this winery again in the future.

We were visiting our son for his retirement from the Marine Corps and took all of the family, both his wife's family and our family to your vineyard. We had a wonderful time, great food and drinks, of course. We only wish you could mail the wine to Rhode Island, where we live.

Compared to the grander, more established, wineries in Temecula, Vindemia could be termed, "quaint." The outdoor tasting area had a multi-level sampliing of tables, comfortable chairs and sofas and a nice view of the valley. However...the parking lot porta-pottys, ubiquitous dust and limited shade on a 92 degree afternoon, severely limited the charm of the place. Remembering why were there, however...I must say the wines were substantially unremarkable, over-priced and under-poured for a $20 tasting. Temecula doesn't set a consistently high standard for wine quality...but, Vindemia underperformed it!

After recently moving to the L.A. area at the end of last year, we were interested in exploring more of the SoCal desert area and thought wine country would be a great place to start. So about a month or so ago, we planned a weekend get away to Temecula and had the absolute pleasure of paying a visit to Vindemia Estate Winery. While we did visit some other vineyards in the area, none were able to compare the quaint, personalized, & of course outdoor tasting experience we were looking for! Upon arrival, the winding rock pathway leads up to a beautifully set veranda, nestled right in the center of the rolling-hill terrain and perched atop rows and rows of vines. Heading up to the pergola to begin our much anticipated tasting, we were greeted by the most cheerful and welcoming bartender, Katie. We shared details on our recent move to Los Angeles and she was excited we were able to make the trip out to Temecula and see more of what the area had to offer. During the tasting, she was quick to point out her favorites to us, but also share her best recommendations based on the heavier full bodied reds we shared we liked most. If ever strolling through Temecula wine country- you must pay a visit to Vindemia Estate Winery- and ask for Katie!!

Great tasting room but have to go on a nice day as tasting room is completely outdoors. Staff is very knowledgable and attentative.

Off the beaten path, beautiful views! Trish helped us with our wine tasting and made it a memorable experience. Will come back soon

Great wine in a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere! Enjoy sipping great wine, served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Outdoor tasting room overlooking the beautiful valley and snow-capped mountains. Tuscany in Temecula!

The wine is fantastic! We got the flight of Red. It was amazing and the price is right. The scenery is very nice and we had plenty of space to move around and enjoy the Winery. The staff were very knowledgeable, and took their time with us.

Great experience, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful location and very informative in an intimate setting.

Take the time to visit this winery. We stopped on a whim and it was a pleasant surprise. A nice break from the corporate wineries surrounding it.

The place is different from other wineries I've visited. It has an open concept, chairs and tables all around and a nice view of the property. Customer service is great, they are all very attentive. We had a nice time tasting and learning about their wines. They have very good red wines.

What a lovely winery with beautiful and kind people who work there. This place is outdoors, off the beaten path, and serene. And Memphis the resident black lab makes you feel right at home.

Wine was expensive for the quality. At these prices they should be able to afford a better tasting area

High quality product that you can only get at the winery or as a club member. Charming and friendly!

They have an outdoor tasting area here, which was pleasant in March but might be less so if it is very hot or cold. For me they make the best Zin in the valley here, and they also have a great blend called Commonwealth. Our host Mike was very informative.
A great tasting experience.

Vindemia is a wonderful tucked away place to taste wine and relax a bit. I loved their outside tasting area that has different pods of chairs and sitting areas and tables. All the vines and olives trees adds to the experience. There wine is a bit expensive but the experience was worth the visit and splurge on the wine. We will be back and this time will bring a picnic to enjoy in the tasing area.

Vindemia is an escape from many of the more commercial wineries in the area. It is family owned and run. It is situated slightly off the beaten path and is definitely worth a visit.

This place is a cute off the beaten path with a great customer service experience. Kelly give great service and learns your name to give you that little extra something. Didnât have a wine that wasnât good and they allow outside picnic food.

If going to Temecula to visit, this would be the one place to stop and enjoy a wine tasting. The Cab Franc and Petite Verdot are some of my favorite wines to come out of Temecula. We love to visit here and enjoy the gorgeous views of the valley and relax while enjoying a glass of wine. We even bring our little dog who enjoys lounging under the table in the shade. Also the service here is extraordinary and people are really nice and make you feel right at home. This is a family owned winery (not that corporate "We're big so you don't matter crap") and the owners have taken great care to create a fantastic experience to any one visiting Vindemia.

This was our last stop on a family day in Temecula. What a nice way to end the day! Our host (sommelier?) was very knowledgeable, pleasant and despite the fact that it was near closing time, we didnât feel rushed. Loved the outdoor area and its views as well as the small, intimate vibe. Nice wine selection - especially enjoyed the âmore cowbell.â

Amazing staff and excellent winery for wine tasting, hot air balloon ride and any special occasion, would recommend to anyone I visit.

Went to purchase wine for the holidays. Of course, had to have a tasting while we were there and excellent as always. Never disappointed!

This was a serendipitous discovery--Traveling with cousin, had just left a larger winery down the road--Vindemia has beautiful views; The couple who own it were hospitable and the wines are divine! I plan to return as this winery tops the list as a favorite--We actually visited prior to this year, look forward to returning--My fav of the favs were the red wines---I highflying recommend you going off the main path for this winery..

We had an exceptional visit to Vindemia on the MLK weekend. Dennis is an amazing host, he made us enjoy every moment of the wine testing. We will go back for sure to chat with him.
Temecula grapes are not the best but Vindemia uses best of the town and also bring the better ones from north. We will definitely visit Vindemia again whenever we go back to Temecula.

This was an oasis! We were in Temecula on Memorial Weekend - and everywhere was crowded, noisy and crazy busy --- it was difficult to even ask anyone working there about the different wines because they simply did not have time. Once we hit Vindemia - we were so excited - we stayed for over an hour.
On the patio - we bought 3 bottles and shared them with new 'friends' at the other tables and compared notes. Someone from the winery came around and poured a new vintage - very cool. It was nice to talk to someone who could discuss the grapes and the blends, years, etc.
If you like too much noise - don't go here. If you like good wine and good opportunity to enjoy the wine discussion - go, enjoy!

I visited Vindemia Estate Winery last month while visiting a friend who lives in San Diego. It's not one of those tour bus-filled, commercial wineries, so that was very refreshing. It also has nice view of the region. My friend was somewhat disappointed that it was so rustic/bare bones. I wasn't as bothered by it. That said, I think it's important to point out that there is no formal structure or building attached to this particular spot. I haven't seen reviews that specifically mentioned this.

Amazing winery off the beaten path! So happy my friend and I stumbled upon this gem:) the staff was so very friendly (shoutout to Dennis!) and professional. They made sure we had full waters and were comfortable in the heat. Would HIGHLY recommend if youâre looking for a beautiful setting to drink some delicious wines!

My wife and I were well attended from all staff. Relaxing outdoors with beautiful scenery and of course good wine!

Well San Francisco is not the only place you can leave your heart. And you heart will have plenty of company at Vindemia. From soil... to vine... to bottle... to glass... nothing but love. Maybe not the cheapest wine, but quite reasonable from a boutique winery. And the quality wine is less expensive than the c**p they serve at some trendier wineries. For good wine, good advice, good conversation and good people - you have to experience Vindemia. And if you start the day with a sunrise balloon trip with California Dreamin you could spend the whole day here. I did.

These folks have hospitality dialed in. Thanks David and Gail and team. The world always needs "More Cowbells"!

I can't remember the young gentleman's name, but he was VERY knowledgeable on wines and the region! Wines were good as well. The only "complaint" would be that the tasting room is outside, so be ready if its hot outside (which it was the day we visited)! Not their fault by any means, because they are a small family run winery (which we really appreciate), but just want you to be prepared if you are going to stop by

Let me first say that I am not a wine expert. Iâve had wines at all different price points, and as long as itâs not too sweet, I generally can enjoy It.
This was the second winery we went to of the day- it was pre-pandemic. I immediately loved it. Thereâs no tasting room, but the vineyard is beautiful and peaceful. There were a few people were sipping wine at the bar. Me and my husband decided we would split a tasting.
I have never enjoyed a wine more! I believe It was the Pinot noirâŚ.It was so delicate and beautiful, I have never tasted something Iâve loved more! Everything was amazing. They even gave us an extra tasting of something, and before It reached my husband, It was gone. Oops. Because my budget was limited I didnât feel I could afford a bottle that day. And we were going to a few more wineries as well. That was such a mistake.
The pandemic hit a few months after, and I kept thinking about that wine! I found their Instagram and kept dreaming of going back and buying a bottle.
Finally things calmed down, and we made It back to Temecula. I was hoping It would be as good as I remembered It. It was that and so much more.
We got to meet the winemaker (I think thatâs who It was. Hahah It was on a Monday. His name is David I think. He might be the owner too?? I donât remember.) But I have never enjoyed hearing someone talk about wine more. He was so generous and hospitable, but what I appreciated most was what an artist he is. You can tell he cares so much about the wine he makes, and It comes through in the flavor.
So I got my bottle of wine I was dreaming about, and even though I should save It for some fancy occasion, I may just pick an ordinary weekend and enjoy It outside. We also are going to pitch in for the wine club with our friends, and I plan to save up for another bottle.
Oh yaâŚ.he let us try one of their most expensive bottles, and our friends bought one for themselves. It was amazing.
I am not a wine expert, but I do know when Iâm drinking something special. And the wine here is truly special. I just want to thank the winemaker for creating such beautiful wine. Youâre truly an artist. And I will definitely be back!!

$35 for a (five tastes) flight of small pours for moderate quality wine struck as âAre you kidding me?!â and âwhat a ripoffâ. The wines we tasted did not impress much.

He is a good wine maker, but the wines are pricey. Wine club members get wine tasting for free every day . The place is minimalist. Last I heard he is not making wines on site and not storing it on site. I used to love this winery, but i am not sure where they are headed. It is good to support a talent, but the price pount is high.

The scent of jasmin filled the air as we walked into this winery. Such a pleasant and relaxing beginning to our visit. They do not have an indoor building, but the grounds were just gorgeous. The wines were super and the service superb. We will be back.

That said, the tastings are expensive. We bought a bottle but still paid for our two tastings. I had but I'd lost the 2 for 1 voucher I got when I took my mom on a ballon ride here but still no discount and understand why(people lie) but it was a bummer. I'd like to keep supporting you but it's discouraging.

I visited with my parents on a day trip from Orange County, and our experience was wonderful! The vineyards are beautiful, the outdoor tasting room is situated on a hill to better experience your surroundings. The tasting room staff were extremely knowledgeable and more than willing to share all about their wines and the differences in varieties. The water and bread/olive oil served with the wines was a thoughtful and appreciated addition. No buses or limos are allowed, which added to the overall feel of a special experience.

1st time wine tasting and our 2nd stop of the day. Very cool vibe and idea on the tasting room, it is all outside with lots of seating, umbrellas and colors. No actual bathrooms but they have a few Porta potty 's. They offer free olive oil and sliced bread with tasting. The Grenache and Cabernet where very good. We found it to be a bit on the higher price range. Bottles are $$, $15 for a glass of wine or $15 for 5 tasters. Other places offer a coupon/discount or 2 for 1 tasting and I didn't find any here. We went of a Fri. Overall the ladies there are very nice, good view, cool and different vibe... however once was enough. It is totally worth a stop though to check it out.

My wife and I had friends in from the east coast and wanted to do a short road trip. Temecula was on our list and my wife found Vindemia based on reviews. It was great!
Our host Michael was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the wines and local area (and movie lines). There are many areas to hang out and while we didn't bring a picnic this time, we will next time.
It was typical summer weather and pretty warm but the fans and misters made it perfectly comfortable. I think we will shoot for a slightly cooler time of year next time though.
Thanks again Michael for a great experience.

Always friendly place to stop in. The fresh bread and olive oil is a great accompaniment to the wine. The wines are always good. The More Cowbell wine is one of my favorites.

Iâm typing this right from the winery, and our experience at Vindemia has been nothing short of wonderful. We did a tasting with Laura. Not only did we learn about their organic process of winemaking, but we had so much fun. The wines offered, both red and white, are so clean and crisp. There is certainly something for each personâs individual tastes and preferences. I would recommend this winery for date night, bachelorette parties, or any other special events. They will spoil you! We are so happy we came here!!

While visiting CA our daughter & son-in-law took us here. It was a weekday in May, sunny with pleasant temps. Perfect for sitting in the shade outdoors and relaxing over some wine. Didn't have to compete with large crowds (no buses allowed) and the owner's son was very attentive. The outdoor tasting area could use additional padded chairs and a bit more shade. The bread and olive oil worked well as palate cleaners. We weren't rushed at all. Prices to buy a bottle were perhaps a bit higher than average (maybe not for CA) but the wine was good tasting and the experience pleasurable.

Relaxing, fun day with good wine, good friends, and great view. Staff is knowledgeable and fun. Love the outdoor sitting area.

Iâve been to about 20 of the wineries in Temecula but never visited this one until yesterday. Itâs located off the main road so itâs kind of hard to find, but a friend told me about it and Iâm glad she did because it might just be one of my new favorites. Itâs smaller than a lot of the wineries, but thatâs what makes it so unique. The family that owns it actually takes the time to pour the wines and talk to their customers. They make you feel like part of the family and the wines are also amazing! Would highly recommend!

Everyone was super friendly and the wine was delicious. Very relaxing atmosphere, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice time away.

Vindemia was recommended to us as we like bold reds from small, family-run wineries. Emphasis has been placed on the vines, the wine, and quality. The tasting area is open and quaint but a larger venue is in the planning stages. It doesn't matter. The wine is well-made with our favorite blend being More Cowbell. Ask about the story behind the name!

I enjoyed the wines here, particularly their ethos and quality behind their enology, in spite of the heat in early September - and we knew going in that it'd be outdoors.
I was particularly impressed by the attention-to-detail by the girl that performed our tasting. She would pour just a bit of the wine in each glass before and then jettison it before each tasting. She would then pour a full tasting amount. I inquired - as I'd never seen this done before at any other winery worldwide - and she informed me that this was to ensure that no other wine was mixed in (in the event of no washing beforehand) or water that would dilute it (in the case of just washing out with water, that I've almost always seen done). Genius!
Nevertheless, the one thing that left a sour taste in my mouth was the checkout experience. I was handed an iPad and then presented with the forced-tip screen that only initially presented tip amounts of 15% or higher. I went with the lowest option as I didn't feel comfortable rebuffing but this still meant that I was obligated to leave a $20 tip on a 10-minute tasting. Her service was excellent but that financial tag was unsavory and undermining to the overall visit.
Hopefully someday merchants will wake up to the force-into-a-corner, annoying aspect that this is for customers.

Fabulous friendly people, amazing views. This place is perfect for a quiet relaxed afternoon, it's not succumbed to the commercialism yet so if your looking for that personal friendly knowledgeable experience I would highly recommend it. Seating is all outside so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery & wonderful aromas of the orange blossom.

By far this was our favorite winery! It was the perfect place to enjoy time with our friends, hear about wine making and drink fabulous wine!
Very small winery with great views
We drove to the Temecula Valley and picked this winery because it was small and other reviewers had commented on the view. Tucked away on a hillside, there is an outdoor tasting area only. No sign of the winery itself though. They mainly do reds but had one white on the tasting menu. Nice wines, friendly and knowledgeable staff but rather expensive wines. They also serve wine by the glass and there is a nice seating area. Beautiful views of snow-capped mountains in the distance.
