Views are gorgeous, of course. You are walking/running next to all the fancy resorts in the area. There is plenty of parking nearby if you arrive early enough. Our run out was fabulous, but by the way back it was quite crowded. This isn't really the best place to push double-strollers or walk three people side-by-side. It is single-file as there are people going both directions (although some folks seemed oblivious to this fact). If you are a serious runner, adjust your expectations to a gentle jog through this portion & enjoy the scenery. Some truly excellent people-watching here as well.

Very nice walk around 3 miles round trip. It goes by some of the expensive hotels on the island and is kept clean. It sometimes gets windy but what a view you have.

This is an easy walk past beautiful resorts. Ocean views are gorgeous. It's not for beach access, but more for watching how the other 2% live.

We walked this beach path three times in six days. It follows the shore line for about 2.5 km each way, and passes a number of the large hotel resorts. It is good exercise for those who like to walk but don't care for up and down hills. There are only a couple of refreshment stops along the way, but there is also access to the eating places at the resorts if one doesn't mind the expense. One added bonus is you can get an idea of the beach facilities, lounges, crowds (or lack thereof), etc. in case you ever come back and want to try one of these resorts in the future.

I have walked this path many many times. It is beautiful, a new beach and hotel is around every bend. It is also a great way to go to The Shops at Wailea

We've done this walk both visits. Nice afternoon walk when the winds pick up too much to hang out on the beach. Can see several beaches, and resorts.

This walk is so spectacularly gorgeous. We usually stay further west in Kihei but I'll often run up the beach to Wailea and the path. I make a point of going early because it can get really congested and it's a breath taking place to be when you're not having to worry about bumping into other people who are lost in the scenery. Even though the path is lined with high end resorts, the ocean view is quite rugged and you can often see whales, turtles etc., from vantage points. A definite must see!

This is the part of the island that can offere spectacular sunsets. The beach walk is well frequented and there is good signage to it and facilities to change in on a public beach along the way. ( a lot of it however goes past the luxury hotels of the area. Can be crowded but the vibe is vVery friendly. Some people walk fast or jog but everyone faces the sunset when the time comes. Its just a 3mile loop but you can stop where the public facilities are and get some pretty good snorkling in too.

The walk was shorter than I expected. It was crowded which was something every review warned about. We took a detour to explore the over the top extravagant grounds of the four seasons resort. Or was it the grand wailea? They had a wedding chapel and koi pond along with something called the Fishpipe. Look it up-if you have adventurous kids you'll need to check it out.

Walked this twice in early Sept 2018 - once midweek, once on weekend - much quieter mid-week. We started at Kamaole III and headed south to Wailea and back. Took us just shy of 3 hours round-trip - both times we stopped at the Beach Walk Cafe for gelato - the Cafe is right on the beach walk at the Four Seasons hotel. The walk takes you along world-class beaches and thru amazing hotel and condo properties. You will see beautiful sights and "beautiful people." A terrific way to start your day.

Wailea Beach Path is a beautiful area and a must see. Bring your camera, because there will be too many photos that you'll want to capture, for memories.

The beach path is always clean and safe. It is always busy, but at the same time never crowded. Walking along, you can hear the roar of the ocean, and may be treated to the sight of whales breaching. Make it a daily ritual at different times of day to pick your favorite time.

Great views and super convenient to get out the resort and just walk along the beach. Go early it does get a little crowded and be careful of the runners!

We stay at one of the hotels and walk the oath in the morning and at night. The path is right along the beach and lava rocks. There are lots of runners so walkers need to go single file, as the path can accommodate only 2-3 across. At night, after 5 pm, it is a path for a romantic stroll. The sunsets are beautiful and the views after dark give you both the southern sky at some points on the path, and the northern sky on other parts. Star and planet gazing is great.

paved path, very few places for a quick bite or drink but there are a few, gorgeous scenery. this is a walk, not a hike

Loved the proximity of the beautiful ocean. At sunrise, very few people out and about and a run is easy.

Beautiful path to walk skirting the resorts of Wailea. Sometimes could be crowded. A few places along the path to grab a coffee or snack (one of the hotel restaurants/kiosks). Great walk at sunset.

A very nice paved beach path that travels in front of the premier area of the Wailea resorts. No dogs or bikes are allowed on the path. We enjoyed the path each day we were there but go early as it gets quite crowded particularly with runners and the path is not very wide.

We walk this path every morning and then come back after dinner to see the moonlit view. It's a must for anyone visiting Wailea!

I never missed an early morning walk along the Wailea Beach Path. If you are an early riser you'll have most of the path to yourself. I estimated the total distance from one end to the other (Andez to Polo Beach) to be approximately 1.5 miles. The Wailea Beach Resort is along the path and has a Starbucks that opens at 5:30am. If you get a later start, you'll find the path to best for a leisurely walk as it gets pretty crowded. Your best bet for jogging is early before the crowds come and the sun beats down on the path. Best of all access to the path is free.

We parked at the Polo Beach Park and headed up the path near the Fairmont Kea Lani. The sidewalk is narrower there soon afterward going by private property. Views are beautiful in the morning with different activity across resorts. Went all the way to the Andaz and back, and it’s a nice way to get steps in. Recommend to also take the same walk in the evening for different colorings in the sky, and different activities at the hotels.

The Path begins on the North side of Polo Beach and follows the beach for about 1.5 miles. It is nicely constructed and is paved in some areas, wooden slats in others. It winds by the major hotels in Wailea as well as the top 5 beaches. Elevation varies, and includes a few uphill areas. In most places it is surrounded by well-kept tropical vegetation and it is just a few feet from the water. You can get off the path at all major hotels, for a rest or refreshment. It is a great way to take in the views of the Southwestern parts of the island and walk down breakfast.

Love this walk, goes along the coast for miles with beautiful beaches & lovely resorts. Several inviting beach bars if you need refreshments along the way. ;)

We walked few times on this path during our stay and even caught the luau for both resorts (Grand Wailea and Marriott) on two different days.

We've been on this walk before, and when back in Maui recently, visited it again. A bit narrow in spots (especially when runners are trying to get by), but the views are stunning - not only of the ocean, but also the beaches, the hotels themselves fronting the beaches, etc. Also on a clear day, Molokini is so close... There are about 3 good spots to hook onto the trail, most with parking, so you don't need to necessarily join the trail through a hotel, or park at Shops At Wailea... We've done the walk during day, and at sunset, and the latter is preferable. Have fun, and bring a camera!

We were at the Wailea Marriott and strolled along with pathway along the waters edge, dodging the joggers and strollers along the way. The views are incredible so don't forget to bring your camera. Go out earlier in the morning when it is a bit cooler.

Wailea is the loveliest of towns and the walk from Kamaole III beach east can last for hours. Stop for a visit at the Kehei boat dock, watch the turtles along the shore, enjoy sand castles, drift wood, the magnificent ocean and some spectacular landscaping by true artists. If you're thirsty, there are some beach walk stands with cold water and snacks close to the hotels. Cover up your shoulders, the sun can be brutal!

We recently stayed in the Wailea Beach area for one week. We discovered early that the Beach Path is a great way to go from our hotel to any of the other hotels or their restaurants while taking in scenic views. The path is paved, and it s about two persons wide. If you get thirsty or hungry, along the path you will find some of the restaurant "snack" or breakfast shacks. You also have beautiful landscaping and floral gardens, as well as marked plants, animal habitats, and markers for Hawaiian sacred and historical points of interest.
The path is busy pretty much anytime of day, however it has especially heavy traffic during the morning hours.
Tips: Take the path from one end to the other (Marriott to Fairmont hotels). Make sure you always carry one or two bottles of water and wear sunscreen and a hat. Bring your cell phone or camera for gorgeous views.

Our first full day on Maui, we stumbled upon this wonderful gem for our morning walk. Wow! It exceeded all of our expectations! Beautiful scenery of the ocean and mountains. Gorgeous flowers along the way. What a wonderful way to start your day invigorating all of your senses. We will definitely be back!!

Great way to start the morning! You do have to share the path with joggers, but everyone is courteous. The views of the ocean and resorts are beautiful and calming. Spots to meditate if you want to do so.

Just a great overall path to either jog, walk or run. Lots of places to stop and view natures beauty.

There are 2 optimum parking areas for this scenic 45-minute walk: park at Ulua Beach public parking to start off southbound (this is what we did) or park at Polo Beach Park to start off northbound. In either event, you will retrace your steps unless you (1) are walking with another couple who can leave their car at the opposite end (2) plan to hail a cab or Uber/Lyft at the end of your one-way journey. You will walk along the edge of the Andaz Maui Wailea Resort and the Four Season Resort Maui at Wailea -- lots of photo opportunities and a little bit of exercise.

We walked this 1.5 mile path almost every day of our holiday, and did so at different times of the day. The morning - before 7:30 - is an easier, more relaxing walk even though there are joggers. (I jogged it once, too.) It's nice to get moving and see the hotels, beach, etc.

Walking the Wailea beach path is like walking through a postcard. You have to pinch yourself to make sure you're not dreaming . . .

We walked this path while we were in South Maui. It goes by several high end resorts. There isn't a ton of shade so it got hot quickly during the afternoon. We parked for free in a lot that went to a public beach near the Fairmount hotel.

walked this path from Polo Beach to Ulua Beach and beyond several mornings during our stay. Best to get out early (before 7:30am) as it can get congested with runners and is not a very wide path. Great sunset views as well.

Beautiful, Nicely Paved, A few places to stop along the way for drinks and sorbet! Best place to park to start the walk is at Polo Beach.

In my visits to Maui I have always enjoyed this pathway. It is well maintained ( no broken concrete, etc.) and it is truly a beautiful view to see the ocean on one side and the hotel gusts on the other.

This was a nice and easy path. The views were very pretty and it was a nice way to reflect on the beauty of Maui.

There aren’t too many walks on Maui that have been constructed to take advantage of the topography but this is one most certainly has. There are a number of spots along the route where you can park and walk to the shore and it is up to you which direction you take. It is mostly flat, very safe and affords great views out to sea. It is obviously manicured around a number of high end apartments and hotels, so it is not rustic Maui but well worth going to enjoy the walk.

Trail runs along the water and is a wonderful and relaxing. Some parts are paved, some are not. It goes along the backside of other hotels so you can see them Too!

Small path between hotels. Great views. Can be a. little busy, but can't complain when you're surrounded by the Pacific and stunning beachs/cliffs.

Great way to start a day on Maui. Take in the views and sounds of nature. Easy walk. A little too narrow at times when joggers and walkers pass, but not a problem. Loved seeing the cats along the path early in the morning.

This is a paved walking path starting/ending just past the Fairmont Kea Lani for approximately 2 miles and stretches beyond the Andaz. The walking path is between hotels and private residences on one side and the ocean on the other. There are multiple areas along the way to get down to the beach if you want to walk along the ocean. It can get pretty crowded in the morning with walkers and runners so you just need to be aware. Every one is really polite though and it is very safe and an easy walk.

Beautiful path a long the ocean. Stopped by the Grand Wailea to use the facilities. Lots other walkers, but path did not seem to crowded.

This is a great Beach Walk .. you see the Oceanfront/Beach Access of all the Wailea Hotels. Pop in the lobbies and check out the decor of the grand Hotels of Wailea... the Grand Wailea, the Four Seasons. In the early am, you can meet joggers.. a pleasant early morning walk. During the day, afternoon, pop in for a afternoon Cocktail. Stay for sunset, nightly entertainment, dinner. Check out the beaches... Polo Beach in front of the Four Seasons.. and others in front of the Fairmont, Grand Wailea. Worth a walk.. for the photos!

This is one of the have to things. This rode you can see from beautiful oceans to geckoes. This walk also branches to dead ends and can see lots of glories majestic flowers and birds. Kids love to try and catch them and sometime they do. If you want to see geckoes or have a good view come at sun set.

Great walking path with beautiful views. Can get crowded so be patient. There are plenty of places to stop and grab food, etc on your way. It passes most of the popular hotels in the area.

Walked it several times, morning and evening. A few coffee places open early. It gets very busy, but views are fantastic

I have nothing against runners or walkers BUT if your trying to walk the runners have no mercy! It is sad this beautiful walk doesn't have some system or 2 lanes for walkers and runners~ it is a narrow walk so hard to fit everyone on it ~

Saw many people sitting in chairs and wading in the water. Very nice views towards the other side of Maui. Was an easy walk from out hotel.

A stunning coastal walk that nearly everyone can do. Not a strenuous hike but a simple walk, with plenty of places to rest if needed. Mostly flat, the well-maintained paved trail winds in front of luxury resorts. Length is about 2 miles. Free public parking is available at Polo Beach at south end. Wear your sneakers or comfortable sandals and enjoy the stunning scenery and beautiful beaches.

Nice walk from Grand Wailea through other hotels and through Wailea Point condos. Note that it is not lit at night through Wailea Point.

Was just in Wailea for 8 days and was on the trail every morning walking and watching the sunrise. Its the best and my best pictures always came from here. My bliss!

Busy beachfront path coursing along the beaches of South Maui. Many swanky resorts along the way where one could stop for food and beverages. Beach access along the entire route. Can get busy during late morning and sunset. Watch for strollers, runners, landscapers, photo shoots and feral cats.

one of our favorite parts of trips to Maui... sometimes a morning run, sometimes a leisurely stroll.

I wasn't able to walk the entire path but caught the middle area several times. It's an easy to walk path right by the Ocean and beach front resorts. Provides a great place to see Turtles as they play in the surf or come on the rocks to rest.

Loved walking along this path. Great views of sunsets and sea turtles. Also made it really easy to walk to other hotels.

Very busy with everyone getting their steps in! Take in the views and enjoy your stay. Food trucks available along the walk

Scenic paved (all except the far North part by the Andaz Hotel) path which becomes quite crowded after sunrise. Starting at the wooden bridge at the Andaz and extends south to the Fairmont Kei Lani, the 1.5 mile each way path makes for an excellent walk. People are generally very courteous allowing runners to pass although certain areas such as Wailea Point become quite congested because the path is so narrow. I would try to run just before daybreak - before 6 AM to avoid the crowds. Many feral cats would line the path at sunrise awaiting food from neighbors which added another challenge.

I did this little walk several times during our stay. It was roughly 2 each way. Water is available at the Grand Wailea right on the path. Beautiful ocean views and great people watching. Go early, it gets busy about 8-9 in the morning!

We loved walking along the Wailea Beach Path and did so several times during our stay. That being said, we quickly learned that the morning hours find the pathway very congested. I can totally appreciate the health conscious travelers - but there were times I felt like I was playing a game of Frogger just trying to navigate the pathway. It would be nice for it to be a bit wider to accommodate all of the traffic! That being said, it is full of beautiful beach views and a perfect place to stroll into the sunset.

This is a well-maintained paved path that allows you to walk on the oceanfront through several resorts. It's excellent for moderate exercise, especially in the morning. It also gives you a taste for the different resorts in the Wailea area.

We walked this path every single morning we were in HI. We would start out by 830am and walk 2 miles one way and then back. It's easy to go as fast or slow as you wish. The scenery can't be beat as you're along the ocean..
bring a hat, sunglasses and water as it can get hot and bright.
Wear sunscreen

Beautiful high-end luxury oceanside bars and restaurants to stop at along the way. A couple of locations had signs that said hotel guests only, however they were each willing to take our money and allow us to have drinks and then light appetizers. Very beautiful scenery.

Beautiful 3 mile paved path, great for morning or evening jogs or just a peaceful walk along the beach; not very crowded at all considering it connects some big hotels - Andaz, Marriott, Grand Wailea, Fairmont & Four Seasons

Walked over to this path from Palms at Wailea. We loved this to walk in the evening to see the sunset!

I ran the Wailea Beach Path twice while training for a five mile run at the end of May, the Spring Lake 5.
We parked at Ulua Beach ~ 8:15 am, lots of spots then. Next to the Andaz.
The path is 1.5 miles or so one way.
The views are spectacular, I took a few breaks for picture taking!
There are 3 stands along the way, a full service "lunch truck" near Marriott, Whales Tale. Plus the Four Seasons and Kea Lani - those are coffee, juice, smoothie bars mostly.
Yes this can be a busy Path at time, I had to run on the grass a few times to avoid the strollers and couples strolling, but sooooooo worth the views!
My wife walked part of the path, and made her way to the Starbucks inside the Marriott.
You will not be disappointed.

Easy beach walk on a paved path by all these beautiful resorts. No shade, so bring a hat and water.
Free parking is limited so go early

Our favorite beach walk. We have done it at least 100 times. We park at the free public parking lot at Ulua Beach park and walk the entire beach walk. The views are fantastic. Lot's to see. During the winter it isn't unusual to see whales. Lot's of places to stop for a meal, drink or snack. Easy walk. Paved the whole way. No elevation gain.

Walking/jogging path which winds along the shore in front of several high end resorts and condominium complexes. Nice views from the path. We spotted turtles and whales in the water. The path is narrow and can get quite busy especially in the morning when there is an abundance of joggers.

HAWAIIANS MADE SURE THEY STILL HAVE ACCESS TO THEIR BEACHES
Unlike most of the world’s touristy coastal areas where the hotels etc have managed to block public access to the shore, Hawaii has legislation ensuring this won’t happen: all down to the hard line of locals who insisted they keep access to their shoreline.
The result in built areas is public access corridors. Where spacing between corridors is wide, rules specify the need for coastal tracks between them. A good example is the WAILEA BEACH PATH along the foreshore behind several beaches connecting two public access corridors (to ULA BEACH PARK in the north and POLO BEACH PARK in the south) some 1.5miles/2.5km apart. Both have free parking lots. There is also public parking and beach access about 70% along the strip just past the GRAND WIALEA RESORT but this one is harder to spot from the main road.
This is a very nice to stroll – the nicely paved path undulates (no steep slopes - wheelchair accessible) and twists in front of some fabulous hotels and holiday condos. Check those manicured lawns, cool pools, beach restaurants – not to mention the rather stylish guests these places attract. If you fancy refreshments there is no shortage of cafes, bars and restaurants.
Immediately west are 3 nice beaches**, further out the blue Pacific where neighbouring islands and the western part of MAUI can be seen. Because this section of the central south coastline faces west, it’s great for magic sunsets. The guide books say this is a good area for turtle and whale spotting but in my 3 visits I didn’t see any. I did take a snorkel around a headland towards the southern end of the path – some okay (not great) fringing coral and plenty of fish.
**I don’t rate these beaches as nice as in the KA’ANAPOLI BEACH area of the west coast hotel zone because the WAILEA area tends to get more onshore gusts of wind making it a bit blowy at times. This could be minimised by picking a position in the lee of each beach’s northern headland – of course some people will not want to minimise any cooling breeze off the ocean.
WIN WIN – the beach paths sound like a win for OUTSIDERS, enabling them to share the area with tourists who have paid big money. However my 3 passes along the path saw way more OF THE LATTER strolling/jogging along. For them the path is also a win: ideal for checking neighbouring resorts, restaurants and beach areas. Or just for a bit of exercise.
TIPs - The water off the sand was benign each of my visits although infrequent storms to the south are known to throw up some surf. I noticed resort beaches did not have lifeguards although I’m sure the nearby hotel pool attendants have CPR and rescue skills. The resort beaches lack public access change sheds etc but POLO BEACH PARK at the south end had showers/change sheds/wcs and picnic/bbq facilities.
- For budget travellers, bus #10 from KAHULLUI comes from the north – I hopped off at KILOHANA DRIVE, walked 600yards/1km/15mins south to ULA BEACH RD to access the north end of the path. At the POLO BEACH end I had to walk north along the main road to WAILEA-IKE DRIVE for #10s last stop (0.4 mi/0.7km/12mins). $2a trip. $4 for a daily pass if you want to do more than 2 trips. Have correct money – no change given.
- Each bus has a free bike rack. I used it for my rent a wreck on return another visit to avoid the rather horrendous headwinds that run down the central valley between MAUI’S east and west highlands.
- For people staying on the west coast who don’t fancy the drive to the central south, the KA’ANAPOLI BEACH PATH is very similar – I rate it a slightly inferior on account it has less variety – it’s straighter and flat. TRIPADVISOR has a separate page on KA’ANAPOLI BEACH.

Beautiful nice walk easy course. Not strenuous. Great views of the set and shore. Windy when we were there but birds around. More of a walk then a hike. Would probably be your morning constitutional if you lived here.

We actually walked this a couple of times, very pretty view. The homes around where fun to look at and imagine how cool it would be to live there with those views!

What is better than a scenic oceanfront walk. The path can get a bit crowded, but worth it for the view. I recommend that you continue your walk up past the Royal Hawaiian, along the golf course and up to the Westin Villas. Great view, and a better portion for a run.

The path runs from Kamaole Beach in Kihea and goes along the beach past many of hte condo's and resorts in the area all the way to the Fairmont at the south end. The path ends before Makena. It took around 35-40 minutes to walk from the Grand Wailea (closer to the south end) to Kihea and about 15 minutes to go fron the Grand to Fairmont. So total of 45-50 minutes to walk the entire length. There are a few spots where you must walk on a sand path or the beach but the majority of the trail is on asphalt.
Great views of all the resorts and the ocean. Fun place to watch morning snorkelers, boaters, and yogis. Also several places you can stop for a snack or coffee along the trail. Highly recommend it if you are staying int he Wailea area. Also good for running,

During our recent stay in Maui, we had access to the Wailea Beach Path. My husband and I walked this path each morning and night. This path runs along the backs of the hotels in Wailea along the ocean. The views from this path were spectacular. Many nights we walked along path at sunset. These sunset walks are among our most memorable moments. Even though we did it everyday, it was always beautiful. I highly recommend this path to everyone.

What a great feature to have available! We started at the Ulua beach entrance and headed down the path - it is a real concrete sidewalk all the way, except at the Grand Wailea where it is stone. For anyone who would like to see all of the “Grand” resorts, this is the path to take. Spectacular views of ocean, Maui, Molokini, and more. Crashing waves over the lava rocks with sound affects! Nice beach areas that are all open to the public, although you need to be staying at a resort to get chairs, towels and umbrellas. There are a least two locations where you could purchase snacks and drinks. Should not be missed!

Very beautiful I have walked this path more times than can count. Great photo spots as well so you will want to bring at least your phone and possibly a camera. During whale season this is an amazing place to get some photos.

My wife and I visited Maui this past February before the pandemic hit the Islands. The evening we attended the luau at the Marriott Wailea we had time to stroll along the Wailea Beach Path. It has beautiful scenery along the path. We experienced a fantastic sunset that evening.

Look to catch it early or late to avoid the hottest part of the day. Nice sunset views. Get to see some of the pricier resorts.

This paved winding, landscaped footpath winds its way along the seashore from a parking lot adjacent to the south side of the Fairmont Kea Lani to the north end of the Mokapu Beach. Spectacular views and vistas all the way. It passes several nice, sandy beaches and lots of high end hotels and residential properties. About 1 1/2 miles in length. Nicely landscaped with indigenous plants, trees and shrubs.

The Waiea Beach Path is a pleasant walk along the shore at Wailea Beach in Southwestern Maui, but it's nothing special unless you want to see see how the other half is spending their vacation (the path goes past three 5-star and one 4-star resort), There are excellent views of North Maui and the Molokini Crater from the path.

Great walking path with lovely view. It is often crowded with lots of folks doing the same path. Walks along the back end of several hotels, and lots of beach beach.

While staying at the Grand Wailea, my wife and I used this path for our morning running. The GW is in the middle of the path, so if we ran in one direction to the end of the path, then ran all the way to the other end of the path, and back to the GW, it was approx 3.5 Miles of incredibly scenic running. Then after our runs ended, we would just jump into the morning ocean. Probably the most satisfying way to end a run, ever!

This path was well-maintained and gave us some truly lovely views. I highly recommend it, no matter your fitness level. If you love beautiful views, this is for you!

This path is so well manicured, just so beautiful, that there is almost no better way to start your day. The round-trip path is 2.7 miles. It is all paved. The path goes right by all the big fancy hotels, so everything is beautiful and the views are stunning and gorgeous. The only complaint is that the path is 4 feet wide, about the size of the suburban sidewalk. As you walk leisurely hand-in-hand, you need to constantly go single file to let joggers pass you or walkers of the opposite direction miss you. But this is such a great place to take a walk. You are always seeing the beach, viewing the island and hearing the surf crashing. Most excellent!

This is a good place to walk, if you jog, you should go out on the road side. I jog on the road side in the bike path and it is much more enjoyable for everyone. The beach path is very crowded with people walking and enjoying the views which makes it difficult to jog.

We walked this path twice, and it was enjoyable both times. Amazing view, with a selection of local flora. It is not strenuous at all, and there are benches you can sit on if you wish to rest. The wind does get strong at times.

Great place to walk in the mornings or evenings. Path will take you near many different resorts. Highly recommend.

We walked this path daily, in the morning and during sunset. Clean and easy to walk with incredible views!

Amazing scenery for a hike or run. Connects you to the best resorts on the island without getting in your car.

Our hotel was located right on the beach path that connects several properties along the way. It’s a beautiful walk in either direction. If you want to capture beautiful sunsets then this is the place to be.

I have walked this path every chance I find myself in Wailea. It is paved and hence busy. People running, baby carriages, slow walkers, speed walkers. I use to find it relaxing not I find I spend my time getting out of the way. Path gets less crowded where's the pavement ends and you have to walk in sand. I try to walk it early morning before 8. Tends to be busy with runners at that time

What a nice beach. Beach was quite large compared to some on other side of island. Nice spot for some scenic pictures

We enjoyed the wonderful golden sand as we walked along the beach. It was a great place to get in the ocean to cool off, plus plenty of places to get away from the crowd. The resorts along the beach were beautiful and the vegetation colorful!

Lovely path on the beach in front of all the hotels. Snorkeling and equipment rentals at various locations.

The path is about 2 miles long. Weaves above the beach and fancy resorts. Great views to sight the whales & see different beaches. Seats along the path to sit for awhile. Washrooms available.

You can pick up this trail right behind the Fairmont Kea-Lani Hotel and use it to walk to the Shops at Wailea if you're so inclined. It's paved, but quite narrow would be my only thing of note. It can get quite busy with everyone from power walkers and joggers to those out for a casual stroll.
It's ocean front and goes past a number of large hotels, so plenty of opportunities to stop for a bite or a drink along the way - not that it's so long or difficult that you'd need to though. It's perfect for those who aren't into more strenuous Maui hiking, and just super views!

Since we visited the island with our 4 month old newborn we tried to not go out during the lunchtime heat. This walk way was a perfect morning stroll. It was quite busy but super nice and well paved

Nice path with great views. A little narrow to walk side by side with someone... great for individuals.

We took our one year old in a hiking backpack and she had a blast. She even ended up falling asleep to the sound of the crashing waves - parents dream!
This walk is all paved and very easy to do. It can get quite crowded and is very narrow. But the scenery is second to none. On one side you have the ocean and the other is all of the high end hotels in Wailea. You could do this walk multiple times there’s so much to see.

Very beautiful and fully paved promenade walk connecting all the 5 Star hotels (Marriott, Four Seasons, Grand Wailea, Fairmont). Amazing views of the ocean and islands on the one side and stunning resorts on the other. At this time of the year you will see a lot of whales too. You can’t miss them! It is amazing.
If you have a chance, go snorkeling and listen to whales! Incredible!

It was overcast and WINDY the day we visited. The beach is narrow and crowded. Fair amount of parking and bathrooms and showers is a plus.

Beautiful path and walk along the beach. We stayed at the Hotel Wailiea...every morning I would walk down a long hill and vary the route each to include the beach walk. Beautiful and good exercise...especially on the return hill climb.

Lovely walk along the beach past the beautiful hotels and complexes in Wailea. Grills and Coffe stops along the way, open to the public. Great morning walk.

This is a nice walk especially in the morning. The views are stunning but not any more stunning than all of the other views. Its just you can get some exercise while being in wonder.

This is a long path running on the beach front along Wailea beach. Good for a nice stroll or a run. All beaches are public however the hotel properties are all private.

We enjoyed using this path several times. Just a lovely pathway winding along the shore and through the many resorts.

The beach walk offered beautiful ocean views with stunning foliage and flowers. It's a great way to get some exercise and admire the beauty of Maui.

This walkway is easily accessible from many of the resorts and some of the parking lots for the public beaches. It stretches for one and a half to 2 miles. It provides gorgeous views of sunsets. It also provides easy access to many of the beaches. The only downside is that it's rather narrow and I wouldn't suggest trying to jog or run on it during busy times.

We walked along the path several times in each direction. The oath is paved and very wide. The views all along are beautiful....
from the ocean waves to the beach to the amazing black rock along the beach. A must do!

Great walking path whether you are seeking exercise or simply utilizing it to get from resort to resort. Well maintained and gorgeous scenery - watch close and you may see the whales!!!

The Wailea beach path is a cool walking path near the cliffs and beach of Wailea. If you are researching this and wondering where to stay in Maui, I would suggest this path is a prime reason to stay in Wailea, especially if you like to take a morning stroll.
The path takes you in front of the luxury hotels and condos and beaches. It's a nice walk/hike to do in the morning after you wake up. Not lit at night, wouldn't recommend in the pitch dark.
Best views of ocean and seals. During our stay we looked at other areas and hotels and we didn't see anything as nice as this beach path.

We got up early every morning just to soak in the view on the
Wailea beach path. Easy walking and very romantic. You'll hear the
ocean waves along with the beautiful views along your journey.

Love this path… we love the Plants and the view! Occasionally there is a sweet kitty to pet! It’s a good morning or afternoon walk in both directions if you are in the middle! We enjoyed this each day!

This sidewalk stretches for at least 2 miles along the ocean. It's a great place for a morning stroll or jog. The scenery looking out over the water is amazing.

This path reaches from the Andaz in the north to the Fairmont in the south of the Wailea resorts. Although it gets fairly crowded with runners, baby strollers and walkers, it's a great way to get some decent exercise along the beach. Great views. It's not truly flat but undulates but that adds to the interest of the path.

If you are interested in a beautiful walk along the ocean’s edge, and taking in some excellent people watching, then I’d recommend the Wailea Beach Path.
You can choose to walk a segment or the entire length. It seems a range of people, from hotel guests, to neighbourhood residents use the path to walk, run, and/or take their dog out for exercise.
Beautiful hotels stretch along the path, and there are activities (surfing, yoga, etc) going on, all along the way. A great way to walk off some of the fabulous food you’ll be enjoying in Maui!

Take your morning walk or run on this path you won't regret it. Just amazing the view and how clean it is.

enjoyed this walk with my wife and daughter and great views not to mention the exercise you get on the path. Lovely flowers and birds to accompany you along the way!

Who knew a nice stroll could be so beautiful. Oceanviews and Molokini just off in the distance. It will take you right into the Shops at Wailea too.

Nothing not to like about this one. Great ocean views, very nice path. We loved this walk and the entire area!

Right next to Wailea Beach is the path that’s one of the things you don’t want to miss when you are here. There are lots of resorts, bars and perfect opportunities for the photography enthusiast. The part is pretty long and if you want to spend quality time plan at least two hours. I did like the coast nature a lot, also the chapel is pretty amazing. You going to see variety of resorts, from super huge too small family condos.

I walked this path each and every morning to get and often in the evenings as well. The views are spectacular and the turtles abound. There are no hard hills, but you get a decent workout and can run if you wish. Great for the whole family and a very safe trail.

We walked this most mornings from the Fairmont to the Marriott. Saw several whales and it was just far enough to get a good work-out on.

We visited here earlier in the year and it was busier than December, still you are able to go into most of the hotels for a drink, even ones with signs that seem to suggest otherwise, business is business.

Yes, it fronts the large resorts and can get you from a to b, but it is just too narrow. You can’t walk side by side, and there are very few benches to rest on and take in the views. Between runners and groups I didn’t love this walk at all, not like the Kannapali path at all.

Very enjoyable walk along the Wailea Beach with wonderful views. In some places the hedges are a little to high to see the breaching whales or a little overgrown to accommodate the many people that take this path.

The wailea beach path is stunning. Likely my very place to be. An early morning walk is the best among this path. Spectacular views.

We started at the Andaz and went as far as the Four Seasons but the trail goes a little further to the Fairmont. We didn't have time to go all the way but we ended up going about 2.5 miles round trip total.
The views are awesome and you also get to see the different hotels along the way in case you want to stay somewhere else next time. My only complaint about the path is that is narrow most of the way, about 4 ft in width so often you will have to walk single file when passing by others. They probably built the path a long time ago and didn't expect the exploding in growth and traffic the path gets. If you want to walk to the Shops at Wailea you can easily cut through the Marriott and end up in the center parking lot. There's also a refreshment stand by the Hilton if you want to grab coffee on your walk.
Overall a great morning walk with awesome views!

Loved Wailea , much to offer like close to ocean , close to shopping , beautiful walks , good food . Definitely will return to the area.

The views at sunrise and sunset are spectacular. This is the main avenue to walk between the Wailea resorts/beaches.
The path gets a little busy as the day progresses so if you're interested in running or fast paced walking it would be best to go early morning.

a pleasant walk in the evening or at sunset. very popular with the tourists in the adjacent resorts.

This walk is along the oceanfront and is a 3 mile round trip from wherever you choose to start. It goes past all the big hotels in Wailea and is always busy with walkers and joggers. Beautifully constructed and maintained with lots of places to sit along the way to look out over the ocean. We walked it many times during our weeklong stay and each time saw something wonderful that we hadn’t noticed the time before. No place better to get that Wow Factor while getting some exercise!

This two person wide path is great to have a little walk along! It's difficult if you want to talk with others while you walk because you do have to walk single file at times. If you want to run, go at a time that it's not too busy because a lot of people can be on there. The path is well maintained, and it's great to take pictures along.

Stayed at Fairmont, Took a walk from up the beach path. Path curves along the coast. Beautiful views.

I wish more places had paths like this. It is so nice to easily walk along the shoreline. You can stop and take pictures, enjoy the scenery, it just a great walk along the beach.

We walk about 3-4 miles every morning on this beautiful path. One of the highpoints of visiting this area.

We discovered this beach path on our first day on Maui, and walked it many times. It was particularly beautiful late afternoon approaching sunset. It is for the most part a windy, paved pathway with little grade. Don't miss it if you're staying in Wailea, and probably worth walking the path if you're nearby such as in Kihei!

With beautiful resorts on the one side and amazing ocean view on the other, a sunset walk doesn't get much better than this.

We walked this path from end to end (and then some across a beach). It had beautiful views the entire way. We didn't stop, but many of the resorts had beach bars where we could have had a drink or bite to eat. In the evenings several resorts have luaus and the music is beautiful. You can listen as you walk the path. Sunset would be great from any location on the path. There are up and down hill spots but also some very flat parts of the path.

The views are gorgeous, but it's crowded and the narrow sidewalk is shared with bikes and strollers.

Wailea beach path is an easily accessible walkway for all. It offers beautiful views of the ocean, volcanic rock formations, beaches, resorts, etc. We had a 3yo walking with us and a 1yo in a stroller - very comfortable and accessible.

We parked at the north end and began our walk. Make sure you bring water. Ours was in the car and a stop for a coffee and pop was $10. The walk is a lovely relaxing wander past the big resorts on one side and the beaches and rocky shores on the other. We stayed north of here so this was a nice way to spend a few hours.

Because I was still on mainland time- it was easy to go running at 6 AM. That was an absolute joy. It was still dark for about 30 minutes of the run, but really nice- the path is lit the entire way. highly recommend. Running later did not go well- very crowded.

Very nice walk along the coast with a view of several beaches. During whale season, can often see activity while walking along the coast. We saw a double breach! Walk is very easy and paved.

Part of the daily routine, lovely in every way. Even stop for coffee or Açai bowl.....not inexpensive

We loved walking this path! There was plenty to see, and it was a great way to get from one resort to another without having to drive.

Gets crowded after 9am, but gorgeous walk with rolling hills and beautiful views of the ocean. We tried to do this every morning during our stay!

Great path to walk or run or just simply take in the spectacular ocean views. It can get a bit crowded in the early mornings with other people exercising, but normally tapers of mid morning.
The sunset views here are also amazing:)

Not only are there gorgeous views but in January and February you will be treated to whales breaching right in front of you. No whale boat excursions needed. Also if you keep your eyes open you will see rays and sea turtles as well as porpoises very close to shore. It is a beautiful walk and with all of the great hotels along the way you can stop for a snack or meal whenever the whim hits you. There is even a little bit of Hawaiian antiquity in the archeological discovery of the outline of a stone house located on one point on the path.

A nice beach path, takes you past several hotels, but it can get quite busy, especially in the morning with walkers and joggers, if you want to jog serviously then I'd suggest using a different route.

OK it is nice that this is here so you can get a bit of walking in if you are staying at one of the big hotels, but it's just a bit of path perched next to the hotels and condos. There's much better places to walk - go to Makena Beach for example

This path runs between the hotels along the beach but it gives you access to the beaches also. Wonderful to stroll and look out at the ocean to see the whales.

We loved the path...the upside is that it runs past each of the resorts so it is easily accessible from any one of them....the downside is that it runs past all the resorts because it is really crowded in the morning and evening. Still worth it though. The views on both sides are fabulous.

What better place to walk along the ocean front. Mornings are pretty busy with joggers and walkers. Many will do 2 wide so if you're two couples walking towards one another, better move to single file. We find we always do this as others do not show courtesy in doing so themselves. So unless you're out really early best to keep this to an evening stroll but beware of double wide strollers. Evening walks generally have less people and those strollling to, from or after dinner walkers so you're not dodging joggers or annoying them by being in their way.

Oh goodness, what can I say. This path was amazing as it winded its way up the coast of Wailea showing you the beautiful hotels and shops. We walked the path each morning to get woken up! It was immaculate and just beautiful!

This easy, concrete walkway along the beach of Wailea offers view of the Pacific, Lanai, Molokini, Kahoolawe, and the hotel properties.

I had wonderful vacation here. Delicious food, wonderful sightseeing, fresh air. You should come here if you have long vacation with your friend

great path for a morning walk. easy to get to from several Wailea hotels and condos but can get crowded. good spot to view the sunset

Beautiful paved path with outstanding views on the sea and Maui. The path winds its way along the beaches and lava rocks on one side and along luxurious hotels on the oth side.

Easy grade. Beautiful view of the ocean. Preview beaches. Three miles round trip. Get in your steps.

We stayed in Wailea and would walk on the path nearly everyday. It is well maintained and fun for watching the sunset. It is really busy and a narrow path, so if you are a runner, it could be super annoying since not everyone walks single file.

I hate working out, but walking from one side to the other of Wailea Beach Path, seeing all the nice hotels while enjoying THE best views there... A WALK TO REMEMBER!!!!

a beautiful walk in another beautiful place on maui. great stroll with family and friends. the scenery is gorgeous

This path has beautiful views. There is not a lot of shade so you may want to take an early morning or late evening stroll. In the morning, it is quite busy. Lots of people are jogging along this path. I would recommend getting an early start. We walked the entire distance and it is a longer walk but it didn’t take terribly long. There is only a slight change in elevation. You will likely see turtles or possibly whales in the distance. The views of the sunset are outstanding from this walking path. Bring a camera.

This is something that is a must do. The walk is easy and covers a lot of ground. Views are the best and always something to see. You pass all the major Hotels and you have to stop at them to see....a must.

You can take a romantic stroll along the beach and see multimillion dollar homes and hotels as well as the beauty of the surf. Take your time take your camera!

This walk gave us a chance to not only see another beautiful Maui sunset, but also to take in the wonderful high end resorts of Wailea.
It's an easy stroll along a paved walkway.
The well maintain gardens of the resorts are also wonderful.

This beach path is an easy stroll that connects some of Wailea's upscale hotels and resorts while allowing you to take in the beautiful ocean views. Take a detour and enjoy a drink or dining option in one of the numerous hotels / resorts. Thoroughly enjoyed strolling on this path taking in the ocean views.

My son and I did the entire path round trip starting at the south end. We were walking at a moderate pace and completed it in 50 minutes. Very good ocean views, nice resorts and good for people watching. We even saw a few cats!

This paved path follows the shoreline in Wailea, offering incredible views of the ocean as well as glimpses of the many high end resorts that line the coast. We walked this path nearly every morning during our stay

We had some time before our late flight home so drove over to Wailea for the beach walk. We understood the general area of the walk but weren't sure where to park. We read that the Shops at Wailea were close so parked there. Had to ask a security officer how to get to the walk as there are walls and fences around the hotels and Shops. She told us to drive to the north side of the parking lot and by the exit is an entrance to the Marriott and Wailea Beach Hotel. We found that easily and managed to walk through the hotel lanai and down to the wall just before sunset. Beautiful! Volcanic rock, surf and views of the other islands. We'll definitely come back and spend more time next visit. Parking was free at the Shops for the first hour then $3/half hour after.

Walked the path from Kamaole Beach Park III to Polo Beach Park, 3 miles—one way. Lots of people on the path especially near the resorts. Some people forget how to be courteous. I get it. You’re on vacation but respect never goes out of style. Great walk and access to resorts. Some areas are unpaved, on grass or on the beach itself (north of the resorts).

Typically crowded in mornings, often with some joggers who choose to ignore the signage that joggers should give way/yield to all others. Be alert and when you want to look for whales or admire the view, just be courteous and step to the side of the pathway.

A most relaxing, enjoyable stroll along the ocean facing West, i.e. very best time is late afternoon for amazing sunsets. ADA friendly, pet-friendly, jogger friendly.

Really nice walking/jogging path, very picturesque, evening sunsets,2 or 3 of the small beaches along the path, runs throughout the High end properties loved it....

I have enjoyed this path on a regular morning walk whenever we are staying in Maui. The earlier the better as it can can get a bit busy, but the views are very special.

Always a great morning walk, the earlier the better! There are walkers and joggers heading both directions and unfortunately sometimes double strollers which are sometimes impossible to get around. View of the ocean and beaches is always awesome and seeing the stunning resorts and condo resorts with beautiful amenities and landscaping is impressive and inspiring. Love seeing the occasional cat lounging on the resorts' lounge chairs early in morning. Park early at Ulua Beach parking, head toward water, turn left after bathroom building.

I took walk before breakfast. It's so beautiful. People were also jogging on the path. Baby strollers were also on it. I went early before the sun started scorching.

I was pleasantly surprised when I learned of this paved path. It is very narrow so pay attention when on here and especially on curves if running or passing. This path goes through many of the high end hotel properties and has great views all along. I did find an area at the end which seemed secluded and private. Great path for early morning running and went right to my hotel. Round trip was a perfect 5K.

An early morning stroll along the Wailea beach path is a gift for your soul. Every corner has vistas of Hawaii at it's best. The ocean on one side, gorgeous plants on the other.

This paved trail allows you to see the beaches, ocean (with an occasional whale sighting!) and hotels/condos along this stretch of the coast. It's easy to walk (for runners, the trail can be narrow so you may have to slow down to get around the slower walkers), and offers both uphill and downhill terrain. Definitely enjoy this walk if you are staying at any of the hotels on this strip of the Wailea beaches.

There is an easy public access with free parking just past the Grand Wailea Resort; look for a small sign for Wailea Beach. This a well maintained waterfront walkway above a lovely beach. There are even nice blocks along the walk to sit and enjoy the view. A large turtle obliged us by taking a sun bath on the rocks below us.

King tide in May of 2017 was fun to say we experienced. Beach was sandy- easy to walk on. Not many shells. Easy tide to play in. Calmer in the morning.

This is a great way to walk along the Wailea coast (and get a sneak peek into some of the fancy hotel pool areas!). We were staying in Kihei, but went to a luau at the Marriott & had to take this walking path to get there & it was so beautiful. The sun was just starting to set over the water and the different hotels had little pavilions set up for couples to have romantic sunset dinners with a water view. After the luau, we took the same walking path over to the Andaz for a drink at one of their bars. The walking path is not lit in between the hotels & can get fairly dark, so keep that in mind for nighttime strolls.

We walked almost the whole path the afternoon we got to Maui. There is a big parking lot at the west end of the trail that you can park until 8PM. We started there and walked about 1/2 of the trail. It is up on the cliff and meanders it way through the beaches. It was breathtaking. Many people walk this for exercise and in places it get narrow, so if you are taking your time, make sure you are aware of others on the path and let them by. you walk past all the beautiful resorts, Fairmont, Gran Wilea, Four Seasons. We watched the sunset from here and it was one of the best places. Not too crowded at all and there were several little stands along the way if you wanted a drink of snack.

The beach path is a gem. If you like a good walk and like watching the sun set, try it at 4:30. The sun usually sets at 5:45 or so.
Start at the Marriott Wailea and go all the way to the Kea Lani Fairmont. The area between the Fairmont and Four Seasons is not lighted so be careful to not pass that area too late without a flashlight. There are also security warnings re that part of the walk but I know of no incidents.
Enjoy!

Beautiful place to walk in the morning = or anytime. Morning is our favourite when the air is still, water is calm, it smells wonderful. You can walk for many miles along this path and see something new everyday.

Great views, but be careful since path is very narrow and one side has a steep drop to the ocean. Also, some people are very rude and take over the whole path. Best to go early morning when not as busy.

We enjoy walking on this path. It is paved so it is a good walking surface. It is picturesque. At least a couple of the resorts have restaurants/bars open to the public that can be accessed from the path.

Well worth the cost. the Views, the Beach, the Swimming Pools, the Luau, the Food, the Activities, the Service.... everything is just awesome about this place. Will definitely stay here if I am able to visit Maui again. Make sure to check in with concierge of activities to take full advantage of all they have to offer.

This is a delightful easy walk any time of day but particularly at sunset. Worth taking your camera for sunset shots. A few runners and walkers on the path depending on the time of day.

We walked the distance round trip. Then stayed longer for sunset photos. Enjoyable late afternoon and evening.

My daughter walks with a cane but had no trouble navigating this cement path, beautifully landscaped on both sides, that snakes along the Wailea coast with the ocean on one side and resort hotel grounds on the other. Along the way there are benches and spots of shade, many native plants with signs naming them, and fragrant flowers worth a pause. There are even some Hawaiian ruins.
The parking lot, along with a utilitarian bathroom, is just around the corner from the Fairmont Kea Lani Resort, so we got dressed up, strolled along this path for about a half hour (we all would have liked to have gone farther…), and then had an amazing lunch at Ko’s, tucked away in the bottom level of that incredibly stunning hotel.

We love the path!! The views are amazing and its very safe. It does link all the hotels together giving this area of Wailea a community feeling. We wake up every morning, grab our coffee/tea and off we go. Its a very different feeling than the path in Kaanapali - the Wailea path is calmer and more relaxing. There are a number of sea turtles living here and its a real treat when you can watch them. It does get busy in the morning but its still worth it!! It truly is a key reason we like to stay in Wailea!

Nice place for walking, The views are beautiful, it is surely better option to get to the center than walking by the road

Access to the best beaches in Wailea, along a paved and beautifully maintained path with large resorts on one side, and amazing beaches on the other.

Came here to see the other side of the island. Nice walk along the water and beautiful properties. Stopped for coffee at the Four Seasons. Nice place

We stayed at the Grand Wailea and the path runs through the hotel along the beach. I walked a large portion of this path both ways from our hotel, and it is a beautiful walk. You can see the other resorts in the area, and the entire path is along the beach. Made exercising enjoyable.

We walked the path almost every morning we were in Wailea. Very nice path. It can get a bit crowded with walkers and runners. Especially in the morning. It is a great way to see the coast and go to other properties for dinner or breakfast.

I walked along the Wailea Beach Path almost every morning during my weeklong stay within the Wailea Resort. Great views/photo opportunities of the various beaches and hotels/properties of Wailea, as well as Molikini Crater and West Maui. My only recommendation would be to walk/run the path early in the morning. Otherwise, it gets too crowded.

This is a great way to absorb the beauty all around you in Wailea. Catch a sunrise. Enjoy the ocean views. Check out the resorts. You can stop along the way and swim, snorkel, or jump the waves. It does get busy -even at 0600. It is narrow in places so you need to make room for other. If you are simply strolling along be mindful that the path gets populated with joggers. Some of the joggers are courteous. Others somehow expect your internal radar to pick up their looming presence and move out of the way. This is a great early morning , mid-morning or evening experience.

The ocean path goes on the edge of the ocean and if you take the entire path the loop is about 3 miles - just perfect for a morning walk. The path takes you through all the Wailea area resorts where each one of them offers great restaurants.

Ocean on one side and resorts on the other. It gives us a chance to enjoy the beautiful views, access different beaches and check out the resorts. Take a short time out of your day to stretch your legs and take in the sites.

Great patch for morning walk/jog or use in the afternoon/night to walk to any of the Hotels restaurants and bars, It gets crowed in the AM and you will need to be cautious with runners and walkers. Take some cash - there are a few outdoor cafe for fruit juices and snacks

I had a really lovely time on this path with my husband, who walks. I use a mobility tricycle and without this path I would not be able to experience a "walk" along the ocean. One day we went from the Four Seasons south to the beach outside the Fairmont, and another day we went north up to Andaz and had a drink on their patio. Lots of walkers out there, but not crowded. The entire path is about 2-3 miles long. You are not supposed to use a bicycle or skate board so it is a really pleasant walk. A few places are steep or wet. There are a few little restaurants where you could stop for lunch or a drink on the northern end. You can walk down to the beach in several places, but it's hard for me to walk in sand so we didn't do that. On the other side of the path are all private resorts so you cannot use the grounds or pools, but can use the restaurants, and their attached restrooms if you are a patron.

Easy and beautiful 3-mile beach path between Ulua and Polo Beaches. The most difficult aspect of this trail -- if one is not staying at one of the Wailea resorts -- is finding parking. The path is wheelchair- and stroller-friendly.

Love that is connects the hotels in the area. We had a luau at the Hotel Andaz but had to detour because the walkway was washed out. Hopefully it gets fixed. The "locals" get upset when you walk too slow!

I started at the Wailea boat launch and did the complete trek to Polo Beach and back. Beautiful scenery with whales breaching as I started out. The only issue is when you meet groups of people, they don't seem to accommodate others....hmmm. There is a couple places to buy coffee on the walk, at hotels with 'shops' right on the beach and next to the path. My favourite time is before 0730.

Perfect path for an easy to navigate stroll. Great ocean front views and access to resorts.. If looking for Starbucks in Marriott, take the signs that say Wailea Beach Resort.

Nice path along the beach to walk or jog. There are more joggers in the morning and more walkers in the afternoon.

We fell in love with this area and walked the path everyday. It did wash our in one area in a very rainy day but not a problem. It has sweeping views and jagged volcanic formations and beautiful beaches.

Nicely maintained and situated in the area where all of the resorts are so you can get out for your workout or stroll out for dinner... lovely!

Near major hotels in Wailea. Very busy with walkers and runners. Nice place to watch sunset
At least it is free which is rare in this area

I walked here daily for exercise and it was worth it. The views are stellar and the path leads to multiple hotels.

Highly recommended for a stroll. It does get a little crowded. We walked first thing in the morning. Beautiful views, and it's fun to see all of the resorts.

If you are staying at one of the pricey Wailea luxury hotels, be sure to walk the length of the beach path. You can enjoy the ocean views, and check out the landscaping at the various gorgeous hotels and condo complexes. If it's whale season, you'll often spot them swimming offshore.

Great pedestrian pathways on Maui include the Kaanapali trail and the Kapalua Coastal Trail, my sister's favorite. Oahu has the Waikiki beach boardwalk, and Kauai has the East Kauai coastal trail, the latter wide enough for utility vehicles to pass pedestrians. And then there is the Wailea Beach Path.
We drove to the Ulua Beach Park parking lot at 7:30am in the morning to get a parking spot. Went snorkeling for an hour, took a shower, changed into my walking clothes, in the public bathrooms here.
Our starting point for the Wailea Beach Path, a 2 mile paved pathway stretching from the edge of South Kihei, through Wailea, and to Makena on the island of Maui.
The trail starts north of the Ulua Beach Park, with a wooden boardwalk path at the Andaz Maui at Wailea. Come here and night and you can see the luaus and evening entertainment for the hotel guests on the edge of the beach.
Signs say the trails are only for pedestrians and runners. No skateboards, no rollerblades, no bicycles, and dogs must be on a leash at all times. Only place where I saw the sign saying runners must yield to pedestrians.
The paved pathway curves along the edge of the Wailea Elua Village, a timeshare condominium complex, with vast acreages of manicured grass amid the palm trees with easy walking access to Ulua Beach Park, one of the best snorkeling spots in the islands.
Pathway here is relatively flat and about 5' wide, with grass on both sides, going a half mile along Ulua beach. Runners can pass pedestrians by going off the paved path onto the short grassy side areas.
In a distance you can see four islands: West Maui, Lanai, Kahoolawe and Molokini, a sunken crater 30 miles off the coast where the snorkel boat tours go.
We pass by the Marriott hotel, another five star world class hotel with it's huge acreage of cabanas and beach lounges under beach umbrellas.
You can walk to the giant shopping center at Wailea, the Shops of Wailea, by cutting through the Marriott, if you are a cheapskate like me, and want to dodge the parking fee at the shopping center.
The trail wanders past the Grand Wailea Waldorf Astoria and in front of Wailea Beach.
If you can't find parking at Ulua Beach Park, drive farther down Wailea Alanui Drive, past the Shops of Wailea to the Wailea Beach Parking Lot. Public bathrooms here along with outdoor showers to rinse off the beach sand.
The path makes a big curve after the Four Seasons Hotel, goes over a short wooden trail bridge and up a hill. From here on the trail becomes non wheelchair accessible.
Path narrows to 4 feet wide, with a stone retaining wall on one side, and a shallow stone fence on the other side. Meet another baby stroller coming the other way, and somebody will have to back up.
This is the start of Wailea Point, 129 ultra luxury $6 million dollar condominiums, immaculately trimmed greens that would rival the putting greens of most golf courses.
It was here that we saw two giant Hawaiian turtles basking on the lava rocks, with throngs of tourists trying to get in that perfect head shot. Alas the turtles were camera shy and never showed their faces inland.
Stone pathway opens to 6 feet wide as we overlook Polo Beach, and the Fairmont hotel, another world class hotel.
South of the hotel is the Polo Beach Club hotel and third public parking lot, and the end of the Wailea Beach Path. Unfortunately the public restrooms were closed here due to water pipe repairs. We had to walk back in a hurry to the Wailea Beach restrooms. This is the public parking lot you use if both the Ulua Beach Park and Wailea Beach parking lots are full.
Wife loved this pathway and would go walk on it every day if she could. Only problem was that one had to get up early to get a parking spot, and before it got too hot in the middle of the day, even in November, robbing the wife of her beauty rest.

Just be careful when you are running as it gets crazy crowded in the early morning hours. Great place to whale watch as well.

In front of the Four Seasons Hotel is a kiosk that sells snacks, beverages, and sundry items like sunscreen. I didn't check the prices. There are 1 or two picnic tables nearby where you can eat your snack.
The walk is hilly at times, so wear comfortable shoes.
Beautiful ocean views on one side and luxury properties on the other side. Therefore, does get crowded at times.

This is an easy family walk with young children. The path is paved and gently follows the coastline as you walk through the back of the resorts. There is even a beach side coffee shop & lots of places to stop and head down to the beach.
Our favorite part of the walk was the view and the whale watching as they migrate in the winter months. The best time to do the walk is in the morning or dusk when it's not too hot. However, these are also the popular times for everyone else to be out so it can be rather crowded.

Each and every of our visits to Wailea begins with a walk on the Beach Path. It is approximately 1.5 miles in length and has easy public access from either end. We typically do it from both ends and usually more than once. The big resorts are on one side and the beach on the other. The resorts offer some nice stops for a cold drink along the way. Well worth a visit!

Beautiful beach with a nice trail. Heard thru the grapevine that we might see turtles, but no such luck!

Excellent way to get around Wailea - take the path - travel to all of the resorts without ever getting in the car - and the sunset from the path is AMAZING!

Enjoy the walk north/south of the Grand Wailea along the beach. Start in either direction and go to the end of the path. Great views and a good walk. At a good walking pace plan on an hour.

We explored all of the competition from other hotels on this walk as we made our way down the beach from the Andaz resort to the Four Seasons. Its a great way to see the place.

If you are looking for a nice quiet beach, this is the place to go. Great scenery, not too crowded, perfect ocean swimming and snorkeling. Got to see many sea turtles. Very clean public restrooms nearby and parking.

It's a lovely walk along this coastal well made path. You can see the whales breaching if you get lucky! And the walk goes past many of the major hotels in the area.

This will always be my favourite beach area as this is where I swam with sea turtles. There were two and I was scared, exhilarated, excited. It was a great area until later in the morning when everyone shows up. Very pretentious people that stay at the area resorts. We had to leave.

This is a lovely walk past beautiful resorts with manicured grounds. Much of the walk really isn't shaded, so bring a hat and water, and go as early in the morning as you can before it gets too hot. This may be one of the most pleasant ways to spend a couple of hours in south Maui.

Excellent path along the waterfront which passes 3 major beaches and numerous hotel resorts and private condos. Beautiful views of the water and excellent whale watching in the wintertime! Also as this is on the southwestern side of Maui -- you can view beautiful sunsets from the path as well

The path is great with super views. I’m really glad this was available for some early morning exercise but it’s way too crowded. Too many people , lots of people jogging which makes it difficult for a leisurely stroll.

There is nothing that is as relaxing as being amongst nature, take the walk early when its less crowded or do a run if you like running!

I loved walking the paved path in the morning light every day of my visit. The path also provides access to other resorts, allowing me to sample various bars and restaurants. Moderately crowded in the morning.

There is much to do, but running on this path is the best thing. I usually try to run right as the sun comes up. Light enough that one can see and before the path gets crowded. There are some comments about runners having no mercy and I have seen that. It is better to run right away in the AM, when it is cool and less crowded. If one does run, you are not trying to PR. There are plenty of places to run on the grass and it is OK to stop and walk so as not to run anyone over. Share this beautiful path!

I walk this path daily when in Maui, usually in the morning. It’s often busy and some people don’t seem to use common sense or show courtesy to others; today a male jogger was pushing a huge sporty baby carriage with him on the path. It took up almost the entire width and there is two way traffic on walkway. Other users walk in a row instead of in a line and hold up traffic. Sigh. Perhaps I should go a bit earlier or try an evening walk instead (?). Having said all of this, the views are still beautiful and I will be back out there tomorrow.

This walking path hugs the ocean and goes approx. 3-4 miles along Wailea. Beautiful blue ocean, sharp rocked jutting out and nice waves make for a very scenic walk. Some elevation changes, but generally quite manageable.
Really nice way to start the day.

Pedestrian paths are not in high supply on Maui, so this one is a bonus. The beaches are nice, but of course you are in a resort area, so paradise looks pretty artificial here

This path can get crowded--great views along Wailea. Walk past Wailea Marriot, Grand Wailea, Four Seasons, and more!

We stayed at Wailea Beach resort- this path is lovely,we walked it thru to both ends... the view is unending, you can visit the various beaches....it's just a gem!

My wife and I walked from the andaz beach to polo beach. It was beautiful and the people on the path are friendly. On the side area, you see a chess board so kids can play with it.

This is a great place to take a long walk. There is ample parking at the end....Polo beach. From the lot it’s a short walk to the start of the walking trail. There are also bathrooms there. You will walk past some of the most spectacular hotels and homes at this end of the island. It’s not a flat path like the walkway in Kaanapalii so be prepared. It’s wonderful that they are attempting to restore the plants along the way with more appropriate vegetation.

Wonderful way to grab a few miles (3 miles round trip) along a stunningly lovely stretch of resort filled beaches.
Stop anytime to take in the powers of the Ocean or if you time it right you'll catch a whale breach! I saw a huge turtle dining near the shore rocks.
A few stops are available for a snack or sandwich.
Wear good shoes if you're "going for it"! I didn't and got blisters.
There's only one small section 200 yards at one end that is an actual sand path. Otherwise its all asphalt with some areas of slight incline - ok for cane waker or even wheelchair. No roller skates or skateboards.

The Wailea Beach Path is public access and a great way to see the fancy resorts along the water. We went back to eat at some of the restaurants, after checking them out.

This path is so unusual for a resort like Wailea. It makes all the hotel areas accessible and all the beaches are accessible.
We can walk for an hour each way from our hotel, Wailea Beach Resort. You walk sometimes on a path and sometimes on the sand. There are two coffee places on the way and public toilets. The only problem is that some folk want to run and some want to walk really fast and we keep feeling ‘in the way’. However we try not to let that bother us ... it is very busy in the morning, especially in high season, You can watch for whales out in the ocean and admire the flowers and trees and wish you lived in one of the gorgeous villas

Great place to start the day. You can walk from the Fairmont up to the Andaz and back. You may even see some whales!

We take this walk most every day when when we visit Maui. The views are amazing and the people watching is fun

Best place to begin your journey is at Polo Beach. Plenty of parking and a great way to enjoy a long walk with beautiful scenery.

We are in our 2nd week of vacation and we have not missed a day walking this beautiful path with a different vista around every curve . Sure it's busy , but people are smiling and enjoying the views. Easy walking , with some coffee stops along the way . It's approximately a 4 mile round trip

Utilized this path to get to and from conference everyday. Grand Wailea to Marriott was a delightful stroll first thing in the morning. Also a really great path to walk for exercise during the day. Felt safe walking the path at night getting to am]nd from dinner.

We stayed at the Grand Wailea- There is an absolutely AMAZING beach path that passes through all of the Wailea resorts. It is so, so picturesque. You can even catch glimpses of different luaus at various resorts, if you are into that. We saw so many birds, stray cats, roosters, etc. The landscape changes, as does the paved terrain, from flat with wide grasses, to windy and elevated, past lava rocks and beautiful trees.

My wife and I walked a portion of the Wailea Beach Path during a recent visit to Maui. It is a gorgeous stretch of coastline with manicured grounds of hotels, resorts and condos. My favorite times to walk are in the morning and at sunset.

We stayed in South Kihei and loved taking a morning walk if the ocean was too rough for swimming because of high winds. When it is crowded, you can not walk quickly, but the enjoyment of the walk is to stroll and admire the ocean view and beaches. When it is hot, take water. There is a public washroom along the way. We usually walked the beach path and stopped for coffee at the shopping mall (more reasonable and better coffee than the hotel beach front places). We liked walking back in front of the hotels and golf courses for a bit of shade and less crowds.

Nice 3 mile path with great views. This is the ideal place to chill. Plenty of spots for pictures and a picnic.

Perfect for a stroll along resorts. It is about 1.5 miles long. Not good for running at all when busy. Runs from Andaz to Fairmont. Beautiful sunrise and sun set views.

Wailed beach path so peaceful , so calm, simply Beautiful. If you enjoy walkingwhat a beautful path to walk for your morning excercise.

The beautiful pathway along the coast of Wailea is a great place to go for a walk/jog and get your exercise, while soaking in the magnificent scenery.

Right on the water with nice views. We stayed at the Marriott Beach resort and used it to walk to other properties in the area. We also went for a morning run on it but it gets a little crowded.

Nice to have a well maintained path when one couldn't walk on the beach. Also interesting to see all the luxury hotels from the beach side. Just beautiful views and flora.

This path is a really enjoyable way to get some exercise in while enjoying beautiful views. It conveniently connects a number of Wailea resorts and condos. Most mornings, path tends to get crowded with walkers and runners. Later in day, more room is available to stroll. Resorts are on one side with the other side offering striking views of the ocean, beaches and rocks. Some areas are narrow, not a problem unless others spread out across entire path. Highly recommend visiting here if you are in the Wailea area!

Love this path. Gorgeous views. Good for a romantic stroll, leisurely walk, or for exercise. Relaxing, peaceful, and beautiful.

Love walking here early in the morning. It can get a bit busy and congested after 8, but before then lovely.

Every morning I would get up very early and enjoy a run or a walk (with coffee!) for the length of the path. Beautiful views and plantings around every bend. Native Hawaiian plantings have been highlighted by little placards as well as one Hawaiian archeological site. You will pass in front of some amazing hotels and homes too.

The Maui shoreline is gorgeous, however there is so much overdevelopment by huge hotel complexes and McMansions that this "trail" is no longer an authentic nature trail. I'm not criticizing it, as it is a lovely walk or run, but it's mainly for those powerwalkers and tourist runners who dominate this passage. If you want a better trail, head uphill or further into the lava fields.

Paved path along the west side of Maui, will take you past beaches, resorts, homes. Fits 2 people side by side, so better to walk single file to accommodate people walking the opposite direction. I preferred to bring a torch after sunset as the lighting can be dim.

The beach path is one of the highlights of the location, especially around sunset or at night. It is a great place to walk for stargazing, and lets one walk between the different hotels fairly easily. Take at least one opportunity to walk along it before you leave the area.

This is a great walking path either for a morning walk/run or for a sunset/evening walk. There is not enough lighting at night so you may want to bring a flashlight or just use your phone light like we did. You walk past all 3 major hotels: Grand Wailea, Four Seasons and Fairmont Kea Lani. Also, you can see sea turtles and maybe even some dolphins if you're lucky in the morning hours. Beautiful Maui sunset views and it was a full moon when we took our evening walk so it was especially breathtaking. Also a nice alternative if you're staying at one of the three hotels to walk to different restaurants instead of take a cab or drive. Enjoy!

Wonderful place for a nice long walk on the beach. Plenty of high end resorts along the way. We stopped at a few to enjoy a refreshing beverage or two, cool our heels and enjoy the views.

This path provides a beautiful view, and is a nice alternative to walking up the busy street. We saw whales in the distance and turtles from just a few feet away (and rats at night!) BUT it is one- person wide in each direction, and very busy. If you are walking with someone you will be mostly single-file to allow for traffic from the opposite direction to pass. Runners were constantly having to stop for joggers, and a member of our group ended up with a broken foot when a hotel towel cart ran her off the path.

We visited Wailea beach on our first full day. The waves were tame enough for all of us to swim and play. The water is so clear!

Walk as much or as little as you like. The route takes you to or by several of the hotels and seemed very safe. See the beach and beautiful grounds or stop at other hotels.

We walked along this path after Lu'au show with beautiful sunset view at Marriott. It was 15 mins walk from there up to Andaz where we were staying. It was dark but we enjoyed peaceful night sky view with tons of stars. Path was safe and well-paved.
For your tip, the bike is not allowed because it is not wide enough for it.

This path has a great view of the beaches, different Wailea resorts and native fauna, flora and wildlife. There are some sections that are quite narrow and it can get quite busy with foot traffic. Still, it's a great place to walk.

This pathway connects all the hotels and condominium properties, from Anduz hotel in West, and Polo Beach Club in east. The scenery is spectacular, whether you are looking at ocean views, that keeps changing as you walk, or the many hotels' facilities that you walk by, or the high end condos and villas that are built between the many hotels. Parking is available at Three beach access locations.
The path is quite long and can be covered comfortably in a couple visits.

We walked the Wailea beach path every day while visiting the Grand Wailea. We wore good walking sandals and watched the waves, beach and looked at the other fancy hotels and homes in the area. There are many runners and people with strollers, so be cautious when stopping.

I walked this path most mornings of my vacation. It has gorgeous views and allows you to see the other properties on the ocean...various resorts and condos.

Walked this path every morning. About 3.5 miles round trip from Andaz to Fairmont hotel. Easy to walk to other hotels for meals too! And to the Wailea shops.

We stayed along this path and it was gorgeous to wake up to everyday. The vibe is great with walkers and runners in the morning. Stunning views!

Great path all along Wailea beach. Can be a bit hilly but its a great stroll. Seeing the resorts along Wailea is great people watching but the star is the beach, the sea and the flowers that line the edge.

The path is a great workout with uphill and downhill. It skirts the ocean and the resorts so a beautiful view. Like other things in Maui can be very crowded with other vacationers taking advantage of it at the same time (morning).

One of the best things the developers of Wailea did was agree to build a public path along the waterfront. The only problem is that they underestimated how popular it would be and didn't make it wide enough! It is so great to be able to walk safely and comfortably away from the noise of vehicle traffic. The path is especially nice at sunrise, but best time to get exercise without the crowds is mid-afternoon. Be sure to stop at the tree (you will know what I mean when you see it) in front of the Wailea Point condos - the ones with the red roofs - and look for whales and turtles.

Great path that's about a mile and a half along the gorgeous Wailea beach. If you're planning on a run, it gets crowded by about 7am and you may have to do some dodging, but totally worth it. Also a lovely evening stroll past luaus and tiki torches.

We stayed at Wailea Beach Villas which is about mid-way between the beginning and end of the path. One evening we walked to the end of the path going one way, then one early morning, we walked the path the other direction to that end. Beautiful walk, beautiful scenery. You must walk it!

Use the walk to get between the Fairmont Kea Lani, the Four Seasons and the Grand Wailea. We like the start before sunset at the LUANA at the Fairmont - the breeze and happy hour are best! Then walk to the Grand Wailea to the bar in the center of the hotel and enjoy a later happy hour with live music and some (not for every song) Hawaiian dancing. Then dinner.. my favorite wa the Humhumu (more letters) restaurant at the Grand Wailea.

Walked the path today. Although it is paved (sidewalk) we found the path very narrow, heavily planted on each side and more conducive to single file walking. We enjoy walking hand in hand. The path was populated. Each time we saw someone coming or heard breathing behind us we would single file. The path has continuous elevation changes. If this would affect some it should be considered. It is impossible to exit the path at will. Exiting requires a designated "beach access" path. We entered at Polo Beach and exited at Wailea Beach Park. We chose to walk back to Polo Beach (our car) via the road/sidewalk. Wider, some shade here and there and we could walk together. If you want to see how the other half lives - walk here.

Very scenic path right by the ocean along all the top hotels in Wailea. Stop at some of the hotels for happy hour. Pricing is more reasonable (not inexpensive). Enjoy the ocean views and if you are there at the right time, you have plenty of opportunity to see whales. Some even on 2 legs...

We stayed at the Wailea Beach Villas which is on the path. The path is about 3 miles round trip. It courses along the ocean and several hotel and condos. The path is very scenic but crowded. It is a nice place to run but can be a bit frustrating. There are several hotel beach lounges to stop for a drink or food but be prepared to spend some money! Nice places to watcg the sunset.

Go early for incredible views and perfect walking conditions. Beautiful views, coffee stops, etc. It is amazing who you might see!

This is a beautiful place to walk/run but is extremely busy in the mornings & you need to be mindful of others, or you may be run over. The path isn’t that wide, so walking with another person & chatting is near impossible. We’ve walked it often & end up single file. It gets really hot on the path after mid morning & not much shade. Better option is to walk at the end of the day when it’s cooler & you can take in the sunset.

Great beachfront path that spans all the Wailea resorts, great for people watching, whale watching, jogging, or pushing a stroller

The path provides a paved way to travel from resort to resort and beach to beach with amazing views at all times of the day. Sunset is breathtaking. The path allows for walking, strolling, or running. There are portions that are not lit at night.

The path goes along the ocean providing a beautiful view as you burn off dinner and drinks. The path is well cared for, well lit for nighttime strolls, and has beautiful vegetation throughout.

Well designed path that runs along the hotel area in Wailea. Gets a bit crowded midday so not ideal for jogging during prime time but a great strolling path any time of day.

I really loved this path as there were so many different views of the coastline and the island. I loved the curves and the inclines for added variety. Everyone was respectful of those joggers. We enjoyed stopping periordically to look at the water crashing on the rocks and to look at the whales. I also enjoyed seeing the different the resort properties. We stayed at the Grand Wailea which was awesome!

We did this beach trip to snorkle and see the fish. The beach is beautiful and usually a great place to snorkle. Sadly we saw minimal fish as the water was churned up. Go out farther from shore and there are sights to see, even some fish where the water was calmer. Maybe next time for us but all of the beaches can have churned up water.

We liked walking on the path in the morning and passed many joggers along the way. You could visit one of the hotels along the route or stop and enjoy one of the beaches too.

Loved the walk along the coastline. Although the path is fairly narrow, the view is spectacular. Spotted several whales. Watched the snorkeling groups that were close to shore. The path is very popular with all age groups.
Great for whale watching in the morning during the season.
The path is flat and well maintained. The only drawback is that it is a bit narrow for the amount of traffic. That didn't bother me or my husband as walkers, but runners may become annoyed at times.
