So much to do for all ages. Great rides for everyone. Very clean. Highly recommend the cabanas for a family.

We had a great day-went on a Tuesday and it was forecasted rain so there was hardly anyone there! No lines to wait and very friendly staff-we had a great family day. Just the right size water park and very clean facilities. I also liked that you can pack lunch and bring it into the park; the water park near my Jersey home requires you to go back to your car outside the park and eat there, which is one reason why we don’t go!

Great place . Lots of different things to do. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Going back again.

We were very excited to spend the day here - however, it was mobbed with people, we waited at least 15 minutes to get in, even though we purchased advanced tickets and we couldn’t even get 2 seats together once we got in. There are clear signs at the pool that say no jumping, but kids were not following the rules and the lifeguards just let it slide. Then a poor mom lost her child and they had to shut down all events and music until he was found - shouldn’t there be better protocol for missing children? And it’s clearly overpriced for just 1 day, We will not be back

Always a great day for the kids! We completed our waivers online and the process was smooth. The staff was friendly and helpful. Reliable fun for all!

We've been going to Whales Tale for years. This trip I went with my 2 granddaughters and 2 of their friends. There are things for everyone to do, slides, pool, water play area and the wave pool. You can pack in a cooler or get food there.
This year we rented a cabana which was great and provided a nice shady spot on a super hot day. Fun for all ages.

Park was very clean. Employees were very attentive and well trained as we had a slight delay due to thunderstorms. Moved everyone around perfectly and we were back in the park within 30 minutes. Guy working the oasis bar was great. Kids had a blast!!

The Best Water Park for all ages, very Family oriented. Best part of my experience all of it. Been coming for 4 years straight and my kids that are now all teens still Love it.

We’ve been coming to whales tale every year since our kids were infants, they enjoyed it then and still do at ages 16,14,13 and 11. Lifeguards are on point, yummy cocktails for adults in a tiki style bar and cabanas you can rent or just grab one of the many free areas to sit and lounge. We love it there and highly recommended it as a place to visit while in the white mountains!

This waterpark was such a good time for me and my nephew. It was SO easy to navigate with some great slides and tubes. It took us all day to get the nerve to do the speed slides, (laugh) but we did them late day and enjoyed them!!!!

A great range of activities for our family! Smaller pools and splash pads for the little guy and bigger adventures for our tween who loved the wave pool. There are also bigger slides that we didn’t get to. We reserved a cabana and loved having the space as a home base to relax also. Overall I was impressed and we had a great trip.

Very nice water park, around 10 different rides for all ages. Nice surf ride, and also a wave pool.
The kids really enjoyed it.
Water temperature can be a bit higher on a windy day.

Always a great Park to visit. It's never overly crowded because they limit the amount of people who have entry which is very smart. The water is always very cold which obviously doesn't bother the children lol. It is getting quite expensive though and a lot of times the weather is sketchy in August with wind and moving thunder showers so you have to roll the dice a lot.

First visit to whales tail and LOVED air. Ages 9,15,&17 had a blast on all the slides . Lots of laugh, smiles and memories. We had the best time in the wave pool, hot tub and lazy river. We spent the whole day arriving at 10:30 staying till you closed. Staff is very friendly and the park is spotless. So great to bring the cooler right in and enjoy lunch( gluten free )
Highly recommend to all families or anyone that likes water.

So much more than we expected! The place was extremely clean, well laid out and very affordable. It did not seem over crowded at all. Plenty of chairs and chaise lounges to relax in and leave your belongings. They even had an awesome live band playing on a stage near the wave pool for most of the afternoon. I would highly recommend a trip here for anyone!

My kids and I had a wonderful time. Even though the water was cold on the different activities it did not stop my kids from enjoying themselves. We would go back again.

Have been going here for well over 11-12 years. I would rate this place as average due to a couple facts. For one, it's very expensive. $245 for a larger family, for maximum 7 hours. The water is also very cold, especially in the wave pool and lazy river. It's manageable, but not pleasant for being in a state that doesn't get very hot. Normally it's in the 70-80's, which really isn't warm enough for the coldness of the water. The hot tubs have cooled down over the years, which is fine for younger kids but not great for anyone in their teens+. The heated pool is definitely warmer than the other attractions, however could be warmer still.
Staff are generally chill enough, however recently had a negative experience with a general manger of the place. In the pirate ship area, there are mounted water guns that are obviously put there to shoot people. They are shaped like water cannons, and are made to interact with. We were using them as intended, and "spraying" (it's a slow stream of a decent quantity of water) people as they passed under. The general manager came up to use and told us to "step away" with a pushing arm motion. No please or thank you, no explanation of why we had to step away. Although not egregious, it's not the most friendly way to tell someone to stop doing something. Not to mention the fact that there isn't really a good reason to tell us to stop doing something when it's clearly intended for that use. I personally avoided small children or parents with children or people that seemed to for some reason want to be dry, not that I had to considering it's a water park. After moving away, I watched 3 other teens do exactly what we were doing. The general manager looked straight at them and walked right past. I'm not oblivious enough to believe they were getting some sort of special treatment, it's more likely that the manager simply didn't want to deal with it. Fine, but be more friendly. I'm sure you've been working here forever, but if you're going to tell us to stop doing something when there's really not really a good reason, at least be nice while doing it. We weren't aware we were doing something wrong.
My point is, if you're going to enforce something then be consistent, and maybe get rid of the mobility of those "water cannons" if you don't wish for people to use them. It would be 4 stars if it wasn't for this bit of hypocrisy by an experienced staff member.

Everything very clean, employees accommodating and friendly and fun for all . Lines move fast and plenty of shade it if gets too hot in the sun and clean locker rooms to store your stuff

It was a perfect weather Friday July 5th day. I feared a jam-packed park. Parking is free. It opened at 10 and we got there at 10:15. Ticket lines were only 5-10 deep...not bad. Crowds were average for the holiday week and would be even less for off peak times. Most rides were 5-10 min max wait time.
We bought tickets the night before and saved $5 each. Not bad. Check in was a bit awkward as they don't issue hard or electronic tickets but we got in w/o any issues.
There is a lot of shaded areas so you don't need to rent the $99 Cabana unless you have really small kids or a big group that wants some privacy.
A great thing is you can bring is a cooler and drinks with food. This helps keep the overall price down not needed to buy overpriced junk food.
Overall a great day. BUT...the park is understaffed so some operation of the wave pool was delayed. A water slide was shut down. The staff that was there were good, mostly friendly and helpful.
If you do the surfing area you need to sign a waiver and get a wrist band.
There are plenty of lockers at $15 each with $6 back if you return the key.
Adult beverages were reasonably priced.
You'll have a fun day there from 2-100 years old. Good time had by all. We left just before the 6pm closing. Enjoy!

We visited on the last day of the season 2020 - the staff was amazing, helpful, and cheerful. The facilities were clean. Social Distancing was being observed. My family had a wonderful time and can't wait to visit again next year.

there were 16 of us we pre booked rented a cabana for the day, everyone had fun and enjoy themselves. the staff who took care of our needs at the cabana was wonderful, everyone all ages enjoyed themselves and the children loved it. there was lightening so they closed the park and told us we could come back the next day to make up the time lost. some of us did the next day.... thank you whales tale for a enjoyable day spent with family......

Brought my 9 year old grandson and friend. Great selections from slides, wave pool, lazy river. Not over crowded, well kept grounds, helpful staff. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOUNTAINS!!! Whats not to love. Reasonably priced. Plus a great band to tap my toes to.

Great family water park. The lazy river is a bit shallow, but otherwise we enjoyed all the pools, slides, and attractions. The food was decent and plentiful, and I loved that we were able to grab a bunch of loungers and pull them under the shade of large pine trees to serve as our home base. The staff were friendly and well-trained. We definitely would return if we’re in the area!

We’re a family of five with kids ages 11, 9, and 7. We had an awesome time. There’s a great mix of relaxing, slightly thrilling, and daredevil things to do!
The place is the perfect size to spend the day, we did everything we wanted to do with time to take breaks for meals and snacks, plus time left to go back and hang out in the wave pool and hot tubs. We were there open to close, 10am-5pm on July 22.
The park and pools seemed very clean with pretty flowers and landscaping around.
The food was good, not a huge amount of options but your basic amusement park fare. There’s a small bar where you can get a very good selection of beers, wine or cocktails (I had a delicious pina colada). I know you’re allowed to bring in your own food if you’d rather do that (but no outside alcohol).
We rented a locker for the day which worked out well. We had a large backpack that we managed to squish in there. There were plenty of chairs around where you can leave your stuff if you’re not worried about it being stolen, but I wanted to lock up my phone and my husband’s wallet.
All in all we loved Whale’s Tale and it was the highlight of our NH trip for the kids, and we did a lot!
If I *had* to mention one downside it’s that the wait for the surf/body board experience is slow-moving, but I don’t know what they could really do about that without cutting peoples’ turns short. The park was not too crowded overall so that wasn’t the problem. I only mention it because it was the only complaint my kids had all day! They all wiped out, but were happy to have tried it, LOL!

Kids want to go back year after year, and it's fun for parents too. It was a little chilly the day we went, but didn't matter, just took some dips in the hot tubs between all the rides. We'll definitely be back!

My family and I recently spent the day. There were rain showers that day, so it wasn’t very busy. Plus, due to COVID, only so many people are allowed in. Everyone had fun enjoying the slides. There were plenty of chairs available all around the park. They have many different slides, a lazy river, pool, hot tubs, and different areas for smaller children. The only complaint I had was that the only food they had in the one opened restaurant was pizza, burgers, hotdogs, fries, or chicken tenders. If I had known that they were no longer serving items like salad and wraps, I would have brought my own. Other than that, we had a great day.

Went here with 4 kids aged 6,7,7, and 8. It was perfect for them. They could go on all the sides. The pools were clean, the park was clean. They had live music at the wave pool. We rented a cabana, and it was totally worth it. You can show up and not need to wait in the opening line to get a spot. It comes with a table for 4 people and 2 loungers. We rented a cabana at the wave pool and had shade most the entire time - which was what we wanted. The cabanas are covered, so if it rains or you are looking to stay cool. Also, our stuff felt a little more protected in the cabana. We will go again next year. Our kids had a blast. The lazy river was my favorite. Only downside was that some slides seemed to be closed, or going slower due to staffing. Staffing shortages are everywhere, but noticed it a lot up north.

We love this waterpark! It's easy to navigate around, has a great variety of waterslides and rides, and best of all it's nestled in the gorgeous White Mountains. My husband and I have been coming here since we were kids, and now we try to bring our kids every summer. They are 9 and 12 this year, and had an absolute blast this past weekend. The pirate ship splash area with the smaller slides was perfect to get my 9yo warmed up and confident to do some of the larger slides with us. Whale's Tale is a gem, you should definitely visit if you're in the area!

I can’t say enough bad things about this park. The park is out dated, dirty and don’t even get me started on how rude the park staff is from the lifeguards to the staff how they handled when the entire park lost power and none of the slides could work. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau since the wouldn’t give a refund and only gave a voucher. Who wants a voucher when people drive hours away, spend money on food, gas, lodging and than spend even more money are your gross park that isn’t maintained.

It's our happy place as a family. I started bringing my two boys when they were 4 and 5. They are now 14 and 15 and they love it just as much. Just as they have grown, the rides at Whale's Tale also grow with their age. We had season passes most of these years. The staff is very diligent and kind. I'm smiling just writing this review!

We went yesterday and had so much fun, hardly any lines anywhere, nice spot in the shade and all your employees were so nice, I work outside in the heat to and I know how hot those masks can get and all your employees had their masks on. But definitely give Connor an extra high five, he was super friendly to everyone telling people to have a great time, helped people out when they needed it and you could tell he was smiling the whole time, he honestly was happy to talk to people. And to those who had to pump and spray those tubes down, Great Job! That can't be easy to do all day. We can't wait to come back.

Great first time! Bit disappointed with 3 slides closed down, the BonZai at the end due to water suddenly stopping. Could tell staff was in need since pour staff member was overseeing 4 slides at the same time.
Poor bartender short staffed, 1 hr wait in line and then a second bartender did come in to assist which then moved things along.
Also, not allowing water shoes on the tube slides either-especially people with food problems.
Did enjoy overall thought snd will return.

Visited the park on July 15, 2025. The park was busy but certainly not very busy. Half the parking lot was empty. The park is very clean but very dated. Their three slide tower was not very busy. My wife went to come down the speed slide and the slide staircase was empty and only a a few dozen people waiting to come down 1 of 3 different slides. In the 25 minutes I waited for my wife to come down I counted exactly 21 riders between 3 slides! The park had ONE lifeguard working the: slides. And the term “Working” is a long stretch! The only possible way that teen could possibly move any slower, she would have to be sound asleep!i made mention of it to management and NOTHING WAS DONE. Signs all over the park stating “we are low on lifeguards” many of the slides were not operating, not sure if it was lifeguard related or mechanical related. The food at the walk up counter by the Wave pool was exceptionally underwhelming. The bucket of fries was undercooked and soggy, the pizza slice was edible but the $6 hot dog was was worthy of the trash can. All-in-all it was a relaxing day but certainly NOT WORTH the price of admission, High School cafeteria food is significantly better, life guards are very In attentive and some down right rude. We shall not return to the Whales Tail. I hope if you read this and decide to go, you have much better luck.

Always the best! We went on a very special day... they opened a week early due to an early heatwave in mid June. That was thoughtful, thank you. This place is always clean, well-maintained, and staffed by polite people. The rides are great. It is the best water park I've ever been too... Maybe not the biggest, but definitely the best. We have been here many times, and it never disappoints. You paid to get in, and everything is there for you, there's no upcharge for tubes. Plus it has the best possible location, right in the heart of the white mountains, with so much to do around it.

Awesome guide on the off road tour as well as spectacular views. Highly recommend doing this tour!

After seeing and hearing a number of ads, we decided to take the plunge (pun intended) and head over to Whale's Tale Waterpark. My child and I didn't know much, but figured it would be a good way to kill a few hours and check something off our "never been done" list in NH.
What an AWESOME time we had.
We purchased tickets online and check-in was seamless. We arrived right at 10:00 AM and got a couple of seats by the wave pool. From there, we explored the park and had a blast. The slides were a lot of fun for my 11-year-old and I. The staff and guards were courteous, professional, and helpful. The park was spotless. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer because of other plans.
I loved that we could pack a cooler with lunch and snacks. Neither of us are major thrill seekers and the slides at the park were perfect for our level of daring. We heard a lot of other families and tweens/teens in line talking about how much fun they were having - and we agree.

The waterpark is great and it's a fun time. High food prices but that's every theme park so what are ya gonna do. Biggest complaint is the seating. People(other customers, not employees) are so rude and inconsiderate. They get there are 10 and lay their belongings on a table or on chairs and claim them the entire day so when we tried to find a place to seat to eat or just sit a minute it's impossible because all the seats and tables are "taken". Those people go around and enjoy the Waterpark and don't come back to those spots except to eat for 15 minutes and then they leave their crap there again and go play. Maybe put some signs up that ask people not to do this? Just a suggestion

Pricey. It was $5 less than a ticket for Typhoon Lagoon, and no where near the quality or the activities of a Disney park.
The teenagers had fun though. Also they should offer a different price ticket for parents that are not participating in the rides. 54 dollars to sit and watch your teenagers is a bit much. Also some of the rides were not open and other things needed maintenance.

The staff at Whale's Tale are absolutely the best. Very helpful, friendly and always engaging with the little ones. We have been going to the park for the past 4 years and would not consider going anywhere else. I can't say enough about the fun factor at this park, something for everyone.

It was ok. Better for smaller kids vs teenagers I think. It needs some serious updates. The lockers are so small that it's very hard to stuff a bag in there for towels etc shoes and everything else. Then you have a key you have to keep track of. Cabanas are always rented at 150.00 a pop and no other place to get out of the sun. The cement is very hard on the feet in most areas of the park. The lines were long, not enough tubes to use for a couple of rides and one ride not running the day we were there. The white mountains were beautiful and nice area but park needs work. We came from very Northern Maine just for the water park but next time will look into better things to do.

We have been coming here for years. We were a little disappointed this year. The lack of consistency regarding rules amongst the lifeguards is concerning. As well as the water in all areas (including the small kids are), except one pool, being so cold for children. Another patron in the ladies room gave my friend a hard time about having her son in the ladies room. In todays day and age it is unsafe to send them into the men's room alone and we didn't have a male with us to take him into the men's room. Maybe installing a family restroom would be good. Also, two of the slides closed mid day. We paid to use everything and your prices have gone up. At least put it on our FB page or website that we won't be allowed to use the full park even though we paid full price so people can make an informed decision. We do love Whales Tales and this is our first not so great experience. So hoping next summer is better. I do need to say everyone we came across for employees were wonderful.

The park is small but beautiful. The landscaping around the park is beautiful- flowers, hostas, etc. it’s a clean park. We rented a Cabana by the lazy river. Only one water slide wasn’t running. The whale pool was warm which was nice to end the day in as temps started to cool down. Went with a group of six. Last hoorah before the school year started back up and the kids had a blast ! Didn’t realize how close this was to us, we’re probably getting season passes.

This water park was so much fun! We had the best time!
We got there at opening, 10am & there weren't any lines for water slides the whole day we were there.
It was pretty busy & there were quite a few camps that showed up, but even so it was enjoyable.
The food is nothing to brag about. The French fries were very dry & tasted like they were a day old.
We brought our own lunches & drinks, but wanted a little snack later on which is why we bought the fries.
Overall, it was a great time here.

Whale's Tales Water Park is the best water park around for younger children (under 13). Though there are rides for older kids and adults, it is the perfect sized park for toddlers/elementary aged children. They can walk from attraction to attraction without totally exhausting themselves. The gift shop is also very reasonably priced! Thank you for a great family day.

We had a great time here! Everyone was really great at maintaining six feet away from each other and they disinfect the tubes in between riders. The lines are super short because they aren’t running at full capacity. We didn’t get to book a cabana because they were already booked but there is plenty of places with shade regardless. If you get there early, there are a few places that are just as good as the cabanas for shade! This was the first thing we did during vacation and every day the kids ask if we can do it again before we leave. :)

We had the best time coming here last Sunday. The place is not crowded at all and there were plenty of seating areas and no wait to get in. There was no line for any of the slides and my kids love all the slides and wave pools. They were able to go down the slides multiple times with no wait. From all the reviews, it seems that Sunday will be the day to go. The place was very clean and not busy at all.

This is a gem we didn’t know about until fairly recently even though we’ve been coming to the area for years. Plenty to do, great slides for adults/ big kids, cool area for the younger kids, a lazy river with free tubes, and a good sized wave pool. Plenty of lockers and changing areas. Gift shop had needed essentials. Food was decent “park food” but a bit pricey. My kids love it and rank it their favorite even though they are lucky enough to have been to the water parks at Disney world.

It seems like I've been bringing my family to Whale's Tale for the past 20 years. We travel from southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island (we usually stay locally overnight and make a weekend out of the trip) but the park is well worth the effort. A true hidden gem. Plenty of variety when it comes to rides and activities, short if any lines, and plenty of room to sit back and relax. I've been recommending this park to family and friends for years.

A fun-filled place for the family in many ways.
It was a bit disappointing that there was no monitoring going on at the "hot" tub. The rules were posted and ignored. The heated pool was nice, for sure. And the slides provided a full range of challenges which was great.
The cabanas were quite small for five people never mind eight.
Supplying free access to safety vests was a super benefit.

Park was clean everything was excellent. We will definitely return next season. Definitely rent a cabana you will have your own cabana service our person was excellent.

We were so excited for our visit to Whale's Tale and then our day turned out to be 61 degrees. Not ideal weather for a water park but we still managed to have an awesome time. The rides are super fun and suitable for almost everyone. The park was pretty empty considering the temperature and COVID 19 so we didn't wait in line all day. The staff was very professional and helpful. The lifeguard in the surfing area was so cold her entire body was shivering yet she helped everyone just like she would have on a 90 degree day. I thought that it was a great value for the money. I would recommend the cabana rental. Was a nice meeting spot and a great place to dump all of your stuff. Great day overall.

This was our first time going to Whale’s Tale. Our kids are 14 and 11. We all enjoyed the water slides. My son doesn’t like slides that are too fast, but he found three slides to go on and had a blast. The wave pool is fun for kids of all ages.

Overall fun water park with good slides. Lines weren’t too bad. Seating and shade available, even on a busy day. The food was impressively, epically, bad.

We planned our juy4th Trip and I was searching for waterpark which is not super expensive as my kids are small and they will be able to enjoy, I found Whales Tale and read reviews, I decided to visit it. Even though temp was 69Deg F and we entered thinking we will get out in 2 hours with such a cold weather, we stayed there till close of the park and perhaps the last family to get out. Kids had a blast, my son loved the lazy river and downpour flumes. We personally loved Harpoon Express. Beyond this the point which is worth mentioning is about Lifeguards they are super alert and keep rotating every 15 minutes. I was really impressed how they used to coordinate when my 3 year old used to come on the slide, they used to be alert to come and pick him up before he lands in 3 ft. water. I was really amazed and impressed with that and felt safe.
We purchased tickets online and check-in was seamless. Place is clean, not so much crowded so we could easily go for rides and repeat them. Other than ticket price you don’t have to pay for tube rentals or parking which is a plus. (I mentioned this as we went to Water country after Whale’s tale experience as my kids loved this waterpark, we had to pay for parking $10 and the for wave pool; tube rental was must, preferred parking $25. On top of it , it was overly crowded.) We had a blast at Whale’s tale and we are planning our second trip there. The staff and guards were courteous, professional, and helpful.
Another thing worth mentioning is there are 3 heated Jacuzzis so after all day soaking in cold water we can relax and get warmed in nice hot water. Plus they have shower area near the main entrance inside the toilets equipped with soap so you can take shower and go home with kids and don’t have to worry about giving them shower. We definitely missed that in Water country as they don’t have hot water pools and shower area with hot water. So please don’t go by size and number of rides, even though this is small I can promise that you will have loads of fun with family. Another plus is you can pack a cooler with lunch and snacks.
We had a blast and my kids are talking about it again and again so worth visiting second time! You can see how much fun we had on my youtube channel: SonalFromUSA

Everything was good, the park wasn’t too full and a good place for families to go also the hot tubs was a nice place to relax while kids were playing at the pool.
Staff friendly and park clean !

Very disappointed in water park. Will not go back there again. Could have gone to an amusement park for less money.

Fun day for all! The kids enjoyed the water slides. Pools and hot tubs could use some cleaning. Bring your own food in!

We absolutely love whale's tale! It's a nice, easy park to get around. You can bring your own food in and with allergies in the family that is a huge perk! I loved that we could go back out to our car so we could have a smoke LOL and everyone there at the main gate was super nice! We even got a recommendation for where we could eat dinner, with people with allergies, at the gift store! The lines were not long at all for a holiday weekend! They let you bring chairs in to make sure families have a place to put their things and relax. They have a pool which hardly any water parks have and it's heated! The hot tub is kept at a lower temperature so children can enjoy it and lifeguards are stationed all over the park! I'm also impressed with how low they keep the prices! And don't get me started on the amazing drinks like the spunky monkey and the amazing views! Everything about our day was perfect! I Aldo love that they have plastic bags available in the bathroom for your wet stuff! And everything was really clean! Everyone, from teens to 8 yr old, had an absolutely perfect day! Thank you Whales Tales fir never disappointing us! Oh, and the slides are so fun, without the tube rental, like many waterparks! Another great NH park! Oh, they even have wifi lol

Decent family time, small size water park but lots of fun, prices a bit high. the best part was short lines to wait given the Covid-19. which is a benefit for guests but probably no so good for the company, nice place, but will probably skip it

I think we just have to excuse the lack of staff this year because of covid. Getting through the gate at entry just took too long, but again, lack of staff. We did see the bathrooms were clean.
Grandpa enjoyed a nap under the new canopy towards the back of the park. Nice idea! Food was ok. I am concerned about the safety in the wave pool. Parents, be WITH your child. They can easily slip out of their tube, somebody else will grab it, and they are left in churning waters without a tube, and you can easily be separated. Be careful. All in all, we love it here, and we will return. (Our family had tried another water park this summer, and ended up leaving early because of rides being down, dirty, and overcrowding).

Great time with family and friends! Staff is great and very helpful! Highly recommend if you are looking for a fun filled day.

The park is pretty small and run down ( with moss and chipped paint on slides) and the 40 min wait at the bar for a drink was a bummer. But we had a great time, staff was friendly and the park was clean. Overall I would recommend.

We visited Whales Tail with 5 grandsons ages 4 to 9....and 4 adults..we ALL loved it. There are SO MANY slides and water features....... even the 4 year old found slides he felt comfortable on.
I highly recommend this park. You can bring your cooler in and spend the day. The staff were very accommodating. The online ordering of tickets and the check in process was very easy and smooth. Just be sure to do the online waivers prior to arrival.....otherwise your entry will take longer.
Enjoy it like we did!!

We went on June 25, 3 slides were closed, construction around the pool and 4 other slides broke and closed after 1pm. Kids were disappointed but managed to enjoy with what it was opened. We paid over 200 and we hope they notified us prior or offer a reduction of the price .

A great day and zero problems or hassles. Jeff greeted us when we came in and again as we left and was super personable, friendly and helpful. He offered us some great advice on where else to go in the area! Good job whales tale:)

The staff here was so friendly and helpful! Kudos to them! Our entire family had a great day and enjoyed all the attractions.

We had a wonderful time so much so my 6 yr old son asked if we could go back for a second day.. Staff was PERFECT. I saw a previous review talking about cell phones? I didn't see a single lifeguard nor staff member at any times with a cell phone they do use a lot of walkie-talkies to communicate with each other. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who likes water parks does something to do all day long no matter what age you are we will definitely be back

This was such a fun, awesome and refreshing experience! All the employees were fun and pleasant to be guided by. The views were breathtaking, the process to arrive at destination was a bumpy ride which made it fun. Great service, would recommend 100%! Even for those that are fearful - as I was. These are professionals and did a great job ensuring safety first and foremost.

Exceeding expectations...quite honestly I thought the place would be packed for a beautiful Sat in July. There was plaenty of space and chairs- everything was spaced out perfectly. The wait for RIDES was very reasonable - just a few minutes at most. The place was very very clean ...even the bathrooms, which is always great. I did bring a cooler of food so we didn't visit the food area. Although, the kids enojoyed a virgin frozen drink - the bartender very pleasant. Actually all the staff was pleasant and seemed to be paying attention :) The band was a nice touch - I have been to other waterparks and they never had entertainment. We spent the entire day and enjoyed every minute of being there. We will return for sure! We did buy online (the day of) and the tickets are a few $ cheaper on line. The only con I had experienced was the wait to get in...granted the staff checks bags but one window should be designated for on-line purchased to move things along.

We had beautiful weather and made great memories. To start out with some positives, the staff was friendly, the place seemed clean, the lifeguards were plentiful and seemed attentive, and the bathrooms were clean. As far as the facilities, some of the water slides were closed down, the “pizza and subs” place wasn’t serving subs, the massive field trip group of 200+ children made the lines for slides and food long. Lastly, I was very annoyed that the park does not allow children to wear goggles. I cannot for the life of me understand why this is a “rule” they have, but isn’t listen under their rules that I read through prior to purchasing my tickets. If I had seen that listed there, I would have probably not brought my young children because they rely on their goggles to keep the very chlorinated water from splashing in their eyes. They would be made to take the goggles off their heads and hold them in their little hands as the flew down the slides, which is certainly less safe than having them secured on their head. Needless to say, we won’t be planning to come back any time soon.

It was amazing time with my family. My only critique is the lack of options for food and the time to wait for it.

Overall was a good time. I will say/ recommend being ur own food! We waited over an hour just to order our food only one place was open to eat at and we paid an outrageous amount of money and it was all burnt or old and not edible! Like burnt so bad it was black and hard as a rock!

Such a great waterpark! Wonderful family place. Excellent for all ages! Great memories! It was very clean and safe!

We live in Southern NH and make a trip up every year
Park is clean, and has something for all ages. Food service a little short handed this year but was expected. Park was busy but not over crowded. We love whales tale.

Aug 2021
Fantastic day with my grandchildren ages 8 to 13! Lots of slides, short lines, great food (although you are allowed to bring your own food into park) the park was clean, very friendly staff. Hot tub has handicap chair. The children are excited to go back!
One suggestion I would add is their hours of operation- they are only open to 5 during peak summer months. Wish it was a bit later but still give a 5 star rating!

Lots of fun for all the grandchildren ages 1-10. Moms and Nana had a wonderful time too! The chef salad was excellent and the chicken fingers were really good too. My daughters both loved their burgers too. We did not expect the food to be so good. 😊

My daughter and I had a great time. It was a BUSY summer day during a holiday week. The atmosphere and staff are very friendly. The facilities and all of the pools were nice and clean. The only thing that bugged me a little... I realize they want to be 100% safe with all of the water slides, but it seems like they wait way too long to let the next slider go. On some, it was well after the previous sliders were well out of the water and walking away. On a busy day, this really slows down the lines and makes for long waits. Otherwise, the place is great, we'll be back. Oh, one of the slides needs a little modification. After a few loops, there's a spot where it slows down to the point where sliders have to push themselves to get going again. It's either not enough water flowing OR the geometry of the slide needs to be looked at.

Had a blast! Exceeded expectations. Was great that you could bring food in. Lines were light, slides were tubular ;)

I took my grand kids to Whale's Tale for the first time and they had the best time on all the slides and the wave pool. The staff was super friendly, the food was good and the place was super clean. We are looking forward to next year.

Great day at the park with my granddaughter, age 8. The slides and pools were lots of fun. Park was very well maintained and very clean. Suggest you book tickets on line the day before going, we arrived at noon and the park was at capacity and closed to walk-in's. By limiting the number of guests the lines at the slides were pretty short, only one wait of more than 10 minutes.

Extremely clean, very friendly staff and Lilly who was working the surfing ride was fantastic. While all the life guards were very friendly and accommodating, Lilly had a great attitude and went above and beyond to provide instruction and make each person's ride enjoyable, even the kids and novices.

Just the fact that the park was open 25% and they were still fully staffed, etc was great. The park was clean and staff seemed to do everything they could to keep it clean. Kids loved it and parents did too!

I first went there when I was 10 and 34 years later I'm still going every year. Now taking my family and friends. It's never a disappointment. Heading back again in a few weeks.

As a family of nine with ages ranging from 6 years old to 36 years old, we found something for everyone. We appreciated how serious the property is taking the covid-19 restrictions and how friendly the staff were. We appreciated that we were able to bring a cooler with non-alcoholic beverages and food for the kids. There is enough space on the property to set-up a picnic and layout to rest. There is literally something for everyone. The lifeguards were very attentive.

This was an incredible experience! I visited with my girlfriend, and the staff was incredibly friendly. It was absolutely worth the time and money we spent. We’ll definitely be returning! We went during the winter, and the weather was stunning. The views were breathtaking.

I’ve been bringing my children here for years (the same week) the last week of August. Usually it is a great experience. The park usually isn’t packed, it is very clean, the wait to get on slides etc is fast and there is plenty of seating. This year (2021) we waited 30 min to get into the park, we had a hard time just finding 2 chairs (we arrived 40 min after opening), the food line took 1 hour to get through, there were not enough floats for all of the attractions (it was a waiting game for even the wave pool). They seemed to be short handed in every department. On a positive note the staff was really friendly and helpful. I’m hoping this is a short term issue because The Whales Tale has always been a great place to take the kids.

On July 14, 2022 we all spent the day a your park and it was absolutely wonderful 😊
Three adults children in their 30’s, 3 grandchildren 3 nieces & nephews 3-15 years old and 4 grandparents.
We all brought coolers with lunches and drinks and purchased burgers, fries, chicken tenders and drinks.
The rides we great fun. As a grandparent in my 70’s I rode with my children, grandchildren nieces and nephews on the lazy River, bonsai pipeline, wave pool and the Chute. The happened to be perfect that day sunny and in the lower 80’s.
My wife and I planned on staying a few hours. Instead we arrived around 10:30AM and stayed until 4:30PM.
It was a few hours of reliving childhood.
Thank You all at Whales Tail for giving my family a very wonderful day
Bob Johnson 😊

BEST SUMMER FUN for the whole family! We LOVED our day splashing around! Shipwreck Island 10/10 rec!

As many other guests, we also have had a wonderful time at the park. With 2 young teens and 1 under 10, we plan to return. We chose to have a Cabana for an easy place for us to gather. We also had a wonderful butler, Corrin, that made this trip beyond our expectations.

The water slides were a lot of fun. They could use a good cleaning, and surface rust repair on some. It didnt look like major rust, but certainly needs attention. The kids had a lot of fun, the chicken and dipping dots were very good from portholes. The view was amazing. One thing my fiance and I noticed on the way out though is that they did not have much in the gift area themed towards kids, I think that if they had more whales tale gifts towards kids then beer that they would get more revenue to be able to put back into the park. Overall it was a great experience we would do again, oh and the staff was great, just the customers that day were rude. They dont care if your pushing a stroller with a kid in it, they will not move for you and take up the whole walkway. And then talk bad after you go around them to avoid confrontation. 👍👍

Amazing water park, veryclean. We had a great time, kids loved the watersides. I loved lazy river. Water was warm in pools. Have a blast!

Very clean. Attractions for all ages. Fun for the whole family. Went with a 4 and 6 year old and we were there from open till close.

We've been to Lincoln more times than I can count and never made it into the water park until this past week. We had a great time and went on nearly every ride. Lots of variety in rides for all ages and interests, and it was a clean and friendly environment. Could use more lockers, though, they were sold out when we arrived.

Say that they are limiting ppl because of covid. That is a LIE. Parking lot completely full. Lines for slides outrageous. Sign saying 50 person limit in wave pool is not enforced. 80+ People in there mid day on a Wednesday when we went. Cannot even imagine a weekend. Dishonest, money hungry company....just like the rest. If you are looking for a safe place to take your kids, this is NOT it. More out of state plates than there were NH plates and again this was an average Wednesday.

We had a lot of fun here. The slides were terrific, i wasn't too busy near the end of August and we had great weather! Maybe a tad understaffed, but overall, a really fun place to go

I visited the water park on 8/31 with my two sons and we had a total blast. The park wasn't too crowded thanks to COVID and so we got to do all of the rides and attractions several times. My personal favorite ride was Bonzai Pipeline and my sons really enjoyed Akua Beach, spending over an hour there. Great day all around and we'll definitely return next year.

Beautifully landscaped and well maintained water park. Such a fun time for our 2 year old with plenty to see and do, slides for the littles, chairs in the shade, friendly staff
We went on a Sunday, it wasn’t too crowded and they had a great band !!
You can pack your cooler for the day which I suggest since the food selection is typical park fare. Parking is easy and close.
Views are excellent !
There are a few areas of wear and tear to the concrete that could use a little TLC.
Other than that, no complaints.
A great family activity

We had a blast. We spent the entire day here and had a wonderful time. We packed our lunch and ate it under an umbrella. Everyone working there was very pleasant.

My favorite part of the trip was how different each slide was, and they were all so much fun, even as an adult! Just be prepared for changing weather patterns since it's the mountains. Great place to spend the day with family making memories.

Had a great time with daughters and grandchildren. Check-in was quick and efficient, park was clean, staff was helpful and attentive without being pushy. We were rained out halfway through the day. We were given the option of another half day or a discount on full day tickets for a future visit. Very reasonable.
We didn't try any of the food. Can't comment on that. We tried to get one of their featured cocktails, but the line at the bar did not move for 10 minutes and we were running out of time.
Something for everyone from toddlers to seniors. Can't wait to go back!

A great water park with friendly staff, clean facilities and fantastic scenic views! Unfortunately, someone in my party was sick and could not join us and the manager was kind enough to refund the price of the unused tickets. I don’t think many other places would do that.

Mostly fun but not very safe. The park was a nice size, not too big. Slides are fun. Unfortunately it was understaffed so long waits for some slides. Also virtually no life guards!! For the cost of admission $50+ per person, there really should have been more life guards. They do have signs saying that the lifeguards are limited but at one point I saw one lifeguard for the whole wave pool. Only a few stationed along the lazy river and one in an area with a whale shaped pool and 2 large hot tubs. The lifeguards didn't seem to be paying attention most of the time, eating chips and generally not watching the water. Parents 100% need to be very aware of where the kids are and stay together. The admission cost should be less if the park is so understaffed.

It's a nice little water park but it's a bit pricey. I took my toddler which was $17 for her, but then still had to pay $56 for general admission for me just to take her in to play. There is not much for toddlers to do besides the splash pad and the lazy river (if wearing a life vest), and one little slide on Pirates Island.
I'm sure as an adult party of one or more it would be fun, but I wish there were more for a toddler, especially if a parent/guardian still has to pay over $50 to accompany their tot.

This is better for families with young children. Also the weather was rainy every time we could go, They let you switch days but don’t refund your money even when you purchase ahead online so be careful when doing that. Bc of this we were forced to go on a cold day and only stayed an hour. Waste of $154.

Wow! A truly hidden gem located in the scenic White Mountains. The staff is warm and welcoming. The GM met guests throughout the day. Many places experience a work shortage in August as the college students return to their respective universities. Despite the shortage, Whale’s Tale did not compromise in quality of services provided. Our son has exceptional needs and we were inspired by the safety standards and measures taken. The park is clean, intimate and clearly places families above the revenue earnings. We are certain to return. ❤️

We visited the park for the first time August 14 and had a great day. There were plenty of water slide options for older kids and adults, and the lines moved right along. My kids ages 9 and 17 even tried surfing and had some one on one instruction by the lifeguard running the activity. We hope to visit the park again next summer and highly recommend.

Had a fantastic time zip lining! Friendly (funny) professional staff. Explained everything very well & our whole party felt safe the whole time. Can't wait to do it again!

Limited by staffing issues. The lack of staff created longer lines in some of the rides. The park claims they are limiting attendance which ISD good, but it is clear they are struggling to hire enough staff. One of the major rides that had up to 5 different slides was being run by one staff member only. Other rides only had one slide open with the other one closed.
Having said that, the staff was very friendly.
In the end we only took ten rides in a little less than four hours, on a Monday!
If you are going, I would recommend buying tickets in advance.

Super clean, fun, and friendly staff. My kids are 6 & 8 and they were the perfect ages to enjoy the water slides and pools. Just enough variety to not get bored for a 1-day visit. Beautiful setting in the mountains.

This waterpark far exceeded my expectations. Its a small park, and even on the fourth of July it was not too crowded. The kids area is amazing, its perfect for all ages, the kids spent hours just doing the slides after slides. I will def be back here next time I am in NH.

Perfect little water park! We were there with kids age 4 to 13 and they all had a blast, adults did too. Place was clean, staff was friendly, highly recommend and we will be back!

So pleasantly thrilled ! I haven’t been here since I was my cousin’s daughter’s age(10 years young) and we had a blast! Yes maybe because it was an overcast day so we never waited more than 10 minutes, that may have helped, but so much to do! Friendly staff and a great park for all ages!

Had a great time! Lots of fun with a great variety of water activities. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Would love it even more if the water was warmer.

Wonderful water park! It's not too big, so you can see and try everything. The attendants were friendly, and the lines were not too long. Really fun rides and activities for all ages.
Only one complaint: Long wait to get into the park. We bought tickets online beforehand, but people with and without tickets waited in the same line, even though there were two windows and they could have separated into ticket holders and ticket buyers.

Another year for the books at the best water park in NH! We visit every summer and it’s always the best time, so clean, staff is helpful and kind !

Spent the whole day, had s blast. Not over crowded! Plenty of space not concerned about keeping an eye every second on the young one.

Considering the huge employee shortage crisis, Whales Tale seemed to have it all under control. Most of the ride lines werent too bad. The restroom/changing area was clean, and the park itself wasn't trashed.
We enjoyed being able to bring our own cooler. Since we are vegan, most parks don't have food we can eat.
There seemed to be enough chairs for everyone, and we even found a spot in the shade to enjoy our lunch.
My only complaint was on our way out we saw a pop up sign for frozen lemonade and got excited to try it, but the guy inside said they couldn't make any because no one knew how to operate the machine. I don't understand why they put the sign out if they weren't making them???
Other than that, it was a good day at a nice family park.

Despite the cold weather, me and my boyfriend had a blast. Thank you for being open despite everything going on! (PS- cold weather on a weekday = no lines = going on everything again and again and again!!!

Always a fun family event at Whales Tale. Now that my kids are in their later teens, I HIGHLY recommend the zipline tours at Alpine Adventues. The guides were awesome. Looking forward to skyline ziplines this fall.

It was so clean and well kept we were very happy to see how clean and maintained it was . The food was pretty good we loved the burgers and chicken fingers . Just wish there was a bar down the other end of the park seemed like everything was on 1 side Just wish we had a map of where things were . Very good time

Best Water Park in NH!! Something for everyone-all ages! We had a blast! And the view is wonderful too. No pics because we didn't bring phone inside. Only wish the lockers were bigger. ☺️

It was a great day rented the day bed great choice. We love the wave pool,The kids love all the slides. First time had a drink it was so good. We had burgers for lunch but I brought snacks and soda. Can’t wait to go again.
Thank you

Staff was incredibly polite, courteous, and helpful. The park was impeccable and well kept, lifeguards appeared tentative and alert and professional. When we arrived at 10:20 am on 8/19 we were a bit shocked to see the long line for bag check/park check in but we only waited in line about 15 minutes as staff was able to quickly but thoroughly check bags. The park is small and navigable enough to easily ride every attraction more than once but spread out sufficiently to not feel crowded. This was my family’s first visit but it won’t be our last. We had a blast!

The park is very clean, including restrooms. Plenty to do for people of all ages. All of the employees were friendly and helpful.

Whales Tale was so clean, employees were very friendly and helpful! This attraction is a must see while visiting New Hampshire!

We love it here because of the variety of fun rides and the appeal to all ages. Our favorite is the Banzai Pipeline and the wave pool. We were glad to see tubes cleaned after each use and all recommended precautions being followed to help prevent COvID 19. Staff were all professional, helpful and friendly and facilities were clean. A couple slides were closed otherwise I would give it five stars.

My favorite Waterpark! It’s super clean, well maintained and the employees are awesome! If you get the weather and the opportunity, definitely visit for the day!

Park is a blast! Highly recommend renting a cabana, especially if it is during busy season - try to do it 1 or 2 weeks before (though tricky to predict the weather). You really can’t beat the price - it includes a locker and bottles of water. We booked one near the heated pools which was a good central location. Our personal server Kayla was friendly and attentive.
Lifeguards were helpful and personable. We were able to try wake boarding and it was so fun! One of the lifeguards at that post was great - once a person got the hang of it, she would instruct and encourage them to safely try more advanced moves.
The park had a lot of different slides, but wasn’t too huge. Really had a great experience with all the staff. My only complaint would be to redo the wave pool floor.

The guides were great, made us all feel comfortable, even my mom. And the ziplines we're super fun! I would go again.

Paid for cabana and couldn’t get waitress to serve us. Went to get our own food to find pizza place shut down and had one choice. Burgers and dogs which cost a fortune to feed our group. Went to get dipping dots after and th kid was beyond rude. Never once smiled and kept slapping our spoons down on the counter when he gave them to us. Way toooooo much money to get this kinda of service. What’s advertised as available should be available

Super clean, great grassy spots to sit in the shade. Fun for all the kids no matter what age! Loved it and can’t wait to go back.

I start by saying I've been coming here for atleast 10 seasons plus, this year, maybe covid related, short staffed, ran out of several things, 2 hour wait for food by the afternoon, not enough floats for occupants, many rides closed, employees seemed very uptight, maybe I will go back next season but I hope they work things out, always looked forward on going, was always a great relaxing fun place to be but whoa, very different now

This water park,is the CLEANEST,water park I have ever been too..including Florida's Disney etc..the water slides were fantastic.$90 for three of us for the day!you get more than what you pay for!!this place makes "water country" look like a URINAL ..I love the FAMILY atmosphere..something truly lacking today sadly.but not here!excuse my observations, but the staff look like sweedish models!!lol my teenage boys did not complain..lol have a blast & go to WHALES TALE!!!!!

It was the best “Adventure Wednesday” we have. Our grandsons LOVED it. Great employees, Kind , very personable . I can’t think of a better place than the Whales Tale.. plus you can pack a tiger.

We got there at about 10:30 and at 1:00 there was a thunderstorm and we had to leave. They just said sorry and let us leave. No partial refund (even 1 admission refund would have been nice). We will most likely not be back and it’s a shame because it was fun for those 2 hours we were there. Disappointing.

Very nice water park ! Fun water slides ,many attractions for the kids. The surfing activity is also very good at the Akua beach! Fun time for all the family!

We had a fabulous time at the Whale’s Tail this week. We only had an afternoon to spend so we showed up at 3:00 PM for a reduced rate. The park was much less crowded than other times we’d been there so my daughter and her friend were able to go on everything they wanted multiple times. A great solution. Love the Whale’s Tail!

It’s such a kid friendly environment. Not overwhelmingly crowded. Great live music to vibe to and good healthy alternatives for foods to pick from.

The park was clean, well staffed, and our family of 4 had a blast! The food on sight was good but you can bring your own (no glass or alcohol). We also rented a cabana which was totally worth it! It was nice to get a break from the sun and to have a "home base". The wave pool was our favorite!!

It wasn’t the warmest of days, but fun was had by all. From having music to jets flying over, to all the rides, to our new favorite barkeeper Jackie. We all enjoyed our time at the park. 👍👍👍👍

The zip lining was amazing! Great views! Nolan, Liam, Connor, Chris, and Adrianna were amazing guides! I have done a lot of zip lining, and this is one of the best places I’ve been!

What a fun time! Whales Tale was clean and well maintained. They capped the number of people who could be in the park, which kept the atmosphere relaxed and comfortable. The lines were either short or reasonable for a wonderfully hot summer day. The staff were the best - every employee we met was positive & helpful. They made our experience so enjoyable - clearly they trained their staff well. Thank you!!

Perfect day. Staff was courteous, fun, and funny. Full range of slides from gentle for toddlers to zooming for 3 to 5 to terrifying for big kids--and who can resist getting flushed? Wonderful range of complimentary activities, too: wave pool, swimming pool and hot tubs, and surfing. Group rides were exciting too--with lots of up and down and feeling like you might just fly off the ride--but everything completely safe and fun. Small park so you can get from side to side easily and watch over your group even if they are on a different ride. Thank you to everyone who helped create a great day for my 5 kids ages 10 to 13.

Brought 10 & 11 year old and rented a cabana. The service was fantastic! The food was great! The kids spent 7 hours hopping from slides to wave pools! I would recommend this park to everyone, young and old.

Whales Tale is a beautiful water park and has amazing water slides and water fun experiences (such as the wave pool, lazy river, castaway cove and pirates play area!! There is so much to enjoy with tubes all included for no extra rental fee. Parking is also free! I've been coming to this Waterpark since I was a kid (more than 30 years now) and they upgrade attractions each year, probably why this waterpark is the best of the best every year!!! Take your family and friends here, It won't disappoint!!

What a great find in the Lincoln area. The park was lovely. There is something for both thrill seekers, and less adventurous alike. There are tons of places to make a "home base" and lines were practically non-existent. I love that they had a pool for those who didn't want to slide or ride waves, but just swim. Often water parks don't have an actual pool for just swimming. The Lazy River was long and relaxing, though I was surprised at the lack of guards on the path. Staff on rides/slides, in food area and at the entrance were pleasant and welcoming.
To boot, there was a band playing live music near the wave pool. There were tropical drinks being served so we enjoyed a frosty beverage while the kids played. At lunch we had a combination of food from there and food we brought which helped us save some money.
Our family will be going back for sure!

This waterpark is such a happy place. The rides are amazing -- unlike rides you find elsewhere. The lines are manageable even on a hot summer weekend day. They let you bring food and drinks into the park, so it's affordable. They offer showers, changing rooms and even plastic bags to hold wet swimsuits. The wave pool was so much fun with the inner tubes. And best of all there's no inner tube hogging on line jumpers. When you get off a slide you turn the innertube back in and you can't go on the ride again without going to the end of the line.

My husband & I have always enjoyed going to Whales Tales and this year we took our 4 year old daughter for the first time. We all had a blast! We like that the park is small and not so overwhelming, it's just the right size with the perfect amount of water activities for kids to do. We love that there are lockers to keep our belongings in and there's showers in the bathrooms. The pizza was delicious and the staff in the gift shop were so friendly. We will definitely be going back again & again!

The park was fun, clean, good food, and refreshing. The gift shop had some very good sales on top-line merchandise. The lifeguards were professional as were the rest of the staff. It was a top memorable summer day. Go if you get the chance!

We went here with our family. The cabana rental was worth every penny. Gave us a place to come back to and snack. The younger members of our party (ages 4, 6, and 7) loved the shipwreck area and wave pool. The older 2 were able to go on most of the water slides. The waits to get on slides were not very long. We would go back here again.

Our family of 10 had the best time at Whales Tale. Ages ranged from 8 to 64. There was something to do for everyone. We stayed the entire day. The lazy river was so awesome and relaxing while the numerous water slides kept the kids happy and busy throughout the day. I was grateful that we could bring a cooler with drinks and food since our family was so big making our experience more amazing and economical. We decided to get there at least 30 minutes before the park opened so that we can go through the COVID-19 screening faster as well as to get an area with huge umbrella (located throughout the park) since the cabanas got booked pretty quickly. There is no fee for the use of umbrellas. A big thanks to all the staff for making our day so memorable and experience of a lifetime.

Amazing experience! Barely and lines on a full day! Staff was great about sanitizing tunes in between guests. Exceeded our expectations, we passed on the information to everyone at our hotel!!

This waterpark is much smaller than we thought. We were there first thing in the morning and they were already sold out. You can wait in line for someone to leave and then you can enter but we didn't want to stand there that long not knowing how long it would be before we got in. So we checked on line to buy tickets another day and it said that they were sold out for the whole season?

Had an awesome day with my grandson Aiden R. Who works here, he explained all the rules! Band was awesome and staff so friendly. Glad my grandson didn’t have his whistle because he would have jokingly used it on his gramma! Wave pool and lazy river is my speed and I just floated for 4 hours!
Also very clean, restrooms are very clean and the kids enjoyed the dipping dots ice cream! Thank you Aiden for the treat, can’t wait to go again

We hadn’t visited here in over 12 years so we decided to bring our kids. We were honestly disappointed as the lines were long waits just due to being understaffed. They had one person manning 5 slides at the top and there should have been at least two. The lack of floats to have to wait for is also very disappointing. My kids said they would rather go to Jay peak water park or Splash town. Hoped for better for $210..

July 13 we brought 4 kids and 6 adults to the park. There are definitely signs the park is having trouble getting good help, but the experience was overall good! We love that we can bring our own food for the kids, most places disallow outside food. The park does a great job in making spaces that have good shade. Our kids love the experience!

I loved this place! We almost didn’t go because the weather was not cooperating. We decided to just try it and make the best of it. I’m so glad we did. We went to the White Mountains for this water park. It did not disappoint. It was a cloudy day with a chance of rain later in the day. It wasn’t super hot but warm enough. The water was nice it wasn’t freezing cold. So even though it was only about 68 degrees and cloudy we were comfortable in the water. The weather worked in our favor. There were no lines we walked on everything. This isn’t a huge water park and doesn’t need to be. There were enough attractions for everyone in the family. We were able to do everything we wanted to do multiple times. You can definitely do everything at this park in one visit. It’s surrounded by mountains. I highly recommend this park! We will be back!

seemed like a slow day but they kept running out of tubes for the rides. it rained a bit while there and we had rented daybeds. they way the coverings hang allowed the rain to drip across the whole bed. also the water pooled on the covering top and took a bit to get off so we did not get soaked further. the food was fast but precooked and just sitting there wrapped up so no idea how long ago it was cooked. the park is great for families with young kids. the bar was a joke. it took 30 minutes to get an order because there was only ONE bartender due to the other "calling in late" also we noticed a LOT of missing life guards. - were told they also either called our or were running late. i am guessing they did not want to work in the rain. other than that, it was a very nice day.

Always clean and safe. Staff are respectful and helpful. They took all safety precautions during this pandemic. We felt very comfortable. We will be back before the end of summer!

My mother and I took my daughter (8yrs old) and her best friend on a weekend adventure to the White Mountains. After sadly hearing about a fire that shut down Kahuna Lagoona last year, and having already visiting Santa's Village a few years prior, we opted to try a new Water Park. Whales Tale had a lot of fun options for both adults, teens and all the way down to very young kids alike. There were great food and drink options available at this park too. I was sad to learn that they close at 5pm, as we would've wished to spend even more time in the park.
Just as they were beginning to shut down the attractions for the night, my daughter wandered off a bit too far. My mother and I, and her best friend were losing our minds trying to find her. We quickly told a staff member with a walkie-talkie, and they immediately grabbed a managet in charge, announced a code over their radios, and went into an all park lock down. They paged my daughter over the loud speaker to come to the gift shop, and systematically started planting staff members all over the park, and checking each station, one at a time. Within a few minutes, my daughter came from the other end of the park, and the head staff member and I came running over to make sure she was ok.
I cannot thank them enough for all of their immediate assistance with my child, and making sure that no one else left the park until she was found. I'm sorry to anyone who was delayed in leaving at that moment. I will say however, that if it had been their child, I'm sure they would've wanted that same level care, dedication and quick response time as we received in those very scary few moments.
We will certainly come back to this park again in any future visits to New Hampshire.

Love the park! But I have to tell you I have been going to this Waterpark for the past 19 years and I noticed that these last past few years the lifeguards do not take their job seriously. But Sunday when I was in the hot tub I heard the whistle go off a few times and it was Ryder the lifeguard. I actually told him that he did a job well done watching out for the kids and they were doing things they were not suppose to and he was right on top of it.. I haven’t heard lifeguards be on top of it like he was. Way to go Ryder!

This was my second year in a row coming with my daughter. We experienced the same great environment and service we received last year. We will be back next year!

If you visit Lincoln NH and you don't take the kids to Whale's Tale Waterpark, then you haven't been in Lincoln NH. Awesome day at the park. Lot of slides, swimming area, lot of places to sit or relax. I was planning to take a nap while the kids are playing, then I end up racing with them to the slides. Some of the slides are challenging but it's worth. We took our own food with us.

Easy access to park with online tickets and easy no line entry also. Very clean and the prices were wonderful for food that was very good. Organized and well thought out systems were in place for sharing tubes and enjoying activities. Wry well run.

I took my 39 autistic son there. This water park is for everyone and not overwhelming. I would go again.

The “Cabana’s”.......don’t bother. It’s a plastic table & chair set with curtains blowing in your face. Nothing special about them. It was an absolute waist of $99. We had a 17 yr old running around tending to all 11 Cabanas. We hardly saw her (very sweet girl though). From the website I was under the impression we’d have someone there tending to us most of the time. She was too young to get drinks at the bar. We ordered food which took 1-1/2 HOURS to get to us. i think if we ordered ourselves we would have been served sooner. There are PLENTY of other areas to sit and lounge under trees for the day. Don’t waist your money! We were very disappointed!
On another note, our 12 yr old twins had so much fun! The place is in a beautiful setting. Gotta love the mountain backdrop.it could use some updating, but not a dealbreaker.
Would we return? If the kids wanted too, but will scratch the “Cabana”.

Admission prices is reasonable with no hidden charges once you’re in the park. Free life jackets and tubes. Short wait times on the slides and plenty to do whether you have toddlers or teenagers. Me and my family had a great day. Will be going back next year for sure

No priblem social distancing, very clean and safe, from the time you arrive at gate until you leave they handled making it a safe fun time like pros. Kids had a blast. We have been sticklers staying home, following all guidelines, it was nice to feel normal again while also feeling safe. LOVED SEEING THE KIDS DO SUMMER.

Had a great time at Whale's Tale Waterpark this past week with our IHM Church group from Concord, NH

Fantastic day! Staff was quick to check coolers and get the line moving along when they opened. Staff was helpful with floats and assisting at rides, grounds were clean and well cared for! We had a great time, no complaints!

We had an amazing time, the tour and ride were awesome. A special thank you to Kent our driver…You were an amazing tour guide….thank you @alpinezipline, can’t wait to do other things with them.. such as zip line and any other great adventures that await.

The park is very nice with a lot of fun things. We were there with 2 years old and she enjoyed. Three kitty pools. I loved heated pool and reaver ride.
Food could be better but pretty normal for the area. You also allow to bring your own food but no glass.
There are a lot of rides.

All in all we had a good day, however.
We arrived 9:45am and the parking lot was almost full. signs saying they were sold out, we had booked online prior so no biggie. We also reserved a cabana and a locker so we waited about 30 min in line to get to check in tent and ticket window which was moved along and well done. We got into the park and kids were excited we, got to our cabana and settled in for the day. In the FIRST hour we probably did 6 slides with about a 10-20 min wait at each. while waiting at the top of "Bonzi" we saw 7 (seven) S E V E N! school bus pull in and unload all 7 buses into the park....Now the parking lot was already FULL so this was definitely a bonus, i mean if your parking lot is full than that usually means your at capacity under NORMAL circumstances but all over their website are messages about their lower max capacity allowances so reserve online to guarantee a spot.......yeah but!
from that point for the next 3 hours we got "3 slides 45 min wait times at all the slides, ridiculous. the camp got back on their buses around 3-330 and everything went back to normal and we were able to enjoy the rest of the day. I feel like we were jipped out of half our day. From their website (In an effort to give you the best customer experience possible, we have chosen to limit our capacity this summer) IM SORRY BUT THIS IS A VERY UNTRUE STATEMENT.
Don't get me wrong the camps should ABSOLUTLEY be able to go and have a great day, but it should count as tickets sold.

Still a great family summertime get-together! Started bringing our kids here 30 years ago and now bringing the grandkids! Fun for all ages! Kids had a great time! Lots of updates since we were here last! Not overcrowded! Bring your own picnic is a fantastic idea!!! No obnoxious drunks! LOL They do check bags upon entry! We had a wonderful day! Thanks to all the hard working employees that make sure to maintain the cleanliness and the standards of the park!!!

The facility did not appear clean or to be following social distancing practices. If we get covid this vacation, this is where we would have gotten it.

This is the best water park for all ages! We had a mixture of swimmers ages 62-4 and everyone had the best time ! I can’t wait to return!

This place was awesome!! Family and kid friendly! Planning our next vacation already! Water slides we a blast and refreshing!

It's kind of the same for this place it's it's kind of getting run down.
It's the next to the last weekend of the year so rides are broken they're all out of food the pizza place is closed. You don't get the whole experience but of course they do charge the same amount.

We made our first visit to Whales Tale and had the BEST time!! We have avoided most places during Covid, and after careful consideration (and a LOT of cabin fever) decided to give Whale's Tale a try! The limited capacity and reservations were perfect! The screening process was quick and easy, and everyone wore masks in the required areas, which were few due to the size of the park and ability to socially distance.
The grounds are so lovely, and SO CLEAN!! There are plenty of shaded areas, as well as chairs, picnic spots, and such. They do allow you to bring your own blankets and chairs, but we found we didnt need to. The lines for all of the waterslides allowed for social distancing, and moved quite quickly. The wave pool and lazy river were perfect and clean as well!! Both provided plenty of space to socially distance from others. They had specific entrances and exits that were clearly marked and very effective in creating space. They also sanitize the tubes after they are returned, which was great as well!
The only downside was the lack of vegetarian options, BUT, being able to bring in our own coolers, I was able to prep for that!! The only reason the options were limited is totally understanable and specifically related to Covid, as they had closed the other restaurant. I am assuming that during "normal" times, the salads and wraps would have been available. TOTALLY understandable and did not take away from our amazing experience AT ALL!!
Overall, we had the most amazing time! SO CLEAN!! Such beautiful grounds, and amazing staff !! I genuinely can't wait to return!! In all honesty, I wish this capactity would continue post-pandemic, as it made for a more personalized, stress free experience! I totally recommend!!

What kind of water park gives senior citizen rates at 70 year old? Very disappointed in the Whale's Tale water park.

Delightfully suprised! Have made the rounds to many water parks and this one was one of the nicest. Grounds were clean and well maintained and staff members were friendly and pleasant.
Nice arrangement and not overwhelming

We have now come here two years in a row with our foster support group. It is by far our most popular event. There were a couple of logistical challenges, but the customer service was excellent and they were super accommodating. The rides are fun, the food is good, and the atmosphere is great! For the most part people were dressed appropriately, I didn't hear a lot of swearing, so a great family atmosphere.
Yup, expect we'll be back next year!

The staff were amazing! There was this one individual who went above and beyond out of her way to help us. We had an issue with our locker and she used her own credit card to help us. I wish I got her name but to the woman with pink hair at the check in desk…thank you!

our first time with our 3 kids, ages 9-11. They had a blast. We went the beginning of September, so the lines were short. They can't wait to go back!

We went for a weekend getaway and decided to visit whale’s tale water park. Even though the weather could’ve been better we had a fantastic time!

My family enjoyed the variety of slides. Many things to do for all ages. Only complaint is the warm pool and lazy river were dirty on the top and the bottom as if it was not skimmed or vacuumed in some time. We did not go in either one. Overcast day was wonderful, less crowds. We rented a cabana and thought our service was excellent! Great day overall!

This was the best day of our vacation. We all had a blast so much to do. The kids loved it. Everyone was so nice and friendly

What an amazing fun time! They had only been open for one day and they did great! Water was clean and beautiful, staff was friendly and we had a blast! Definitely book some tickets soon. Everything is outdoors and spread out so it feels very safe. Lots of shady chairs. Our lunch and drinks from the bar were perfect too. We will be back soon!

The park is so clean and all of the employees are so friendly and helpful. Consider booking a cabana for your visit, totally worth the $99 to have a saved space to hang out with your family that offers some shade, a table to eat at and a server! My 13 year old twins had a blast!

My kids did the zip line and they loved.
The whole family went off-roading in the afternoon and that was amazing the driver was very skilled super nice and communicative excellent loved everything about it.
We will be back

My whole family had fun. My husband and my two boys, ages 11 and 15! We loved the lazy river, hot tubs, wave pool and tube water slides!

We did the Off Road Adventure. We were driven up a mountain in a military vehicle on a narrow steep path. I wouldn’t even call it a road. We loved every minute of the trip, the view from the top, and the trip down. Everyone wore masks and we felt quite safe. I highly recommend it.

We had a great day and very little waiting even with 5 bus loads of school kids from verious camps. The resuraant was closed and snack bar did not have much to chose from on menu. All facilities and grounds well maintained... hot tubs full of young ones.

I grew up going here and recently started taking my now 10 and 13 year old sons. We always have a great time and are able to enjoy the park for a full day. The staff is also always super friendly.

Alpine adventures is an awesome experience for all ages, highly recommend, will be back soon for sure.

Fun afternoon enjoying the lazy river and other water rides with our grandkids. We enjoyed the afternoon special entry rate (after 2 pm). Grandkids loved the surfing and the ride that some call the "toilet bowl" because you shoot out and go around until you drop through the middle into an 8 foot pool.

I enjoyed all of the slides and shipwreck area for kids. I wish there were coupons available (discount rates) though.

It's Tradition to bring my kids here at least once a summer & now I'm bringing my Grandson. It's still a nice low key fun water park in a perfect location. My issue is that we spend the same amount of $$ to come here when Water County is 3x's as big! However, I still don't mind paying that except that your best water rides were closed when we went!! Why are we paying so much for tickets and your best rides are closed?! You can tell me this year it's because of a water ban!! Soo disappointed.

Great way to spend a day. Very clean waterpark that has something for everyone. It was a rainy day but still warm during our visit, so kids loved no lines while we enjoyed the hot tub. Great assortment of slides, surf area, large kiddie section, huge wave pool, lazy river and hot tubs. It’s on our must-do list when we visit the area.

The grandkids had a blast ages 9mos. 4 and 5 they absolutely loved Shipwreck Island they had a ball even the 9 month old sitting on the splash pad. The older 2 were running all day long, the batteries never ran out.
Get there early, there are plenty of shady places to grab a seat or bring your chairs.
We will be back soon, very refreshing.

Fantastic day with my teens! Park was spotless, service was excellent, very friendly and helpful staff. I felt that prices were very reasonable, especially compared with other NH water parks. Definitely add Whales Tale to your To-Do list!

Our tradition continued on this year with our annual family trip to Whale's Tale. We had a group of 36 at the park and everyone made lasting memories. There were kids of all ages 2 yrs - 20 yrs along with adults and everyone enjoyed the day. Our server Kayla was amazing and we stayed at the park from open to close. We will certainly be back next summer!

My only complaint is it closes at 5 on a Saturday. Fire to unfortunate events we paid almost 300$ and only got to stay for 3 hours because the website was not updated when I checked what time they cost. The only thing that mattered was the kids had fun. Just wish they were open later for people who can't show up at 10 a.m to get the full experience and their money's worth.
Slides were so much fun though. Didn't have time to try food or much else. Went on rides as much as possible in 3 hours

This place was awesome! It has every kind of attraction a good water park needs! Parking is free. You’re able to bring in a cooler. Lockers are cheap to rent. Lots of fun attractions for all ages. Would highly recommend checking this place out if you’re staying in the area.

Family friendly water park nestled in the beautiful mountains. We had a great time on all the attractions. Some of the slides had long lines but we had a leisurely day enjoying the park.

I’m 74 years old and my Son is 44 years old, We took My two Grandsons that are 8 and 11 years old to this water park and We ALL had a great time. The slides were great, the staff was very Helpful and accommodating. We were there on a Friday when it opened up at ten. We left at 12:30 for lunch got a hand stamp and returned to finish our day. We didn’t have to wait in line at all. We had a ball and repeated all the rides several times, Great Olace

My daughter and her two boys and I visited your park this week. It was our second visit. We love the park so very much. It's always clean, the grounds are beautiful. It's a very relaxing park. It's also very nice that you can bring your own cooler in with food and drinks. There is also a food bar if you prefer to purchase lunch. The rides are excellent. There is a good mix of types of rides. The lazy river is wonderful.....very slow moving and relaxing. It was truly a wonderful day . I highly recommend it. I'm sure we will be going again next year!

Too far and also unrefundable. Spent 173 and we went in at 4 and they said can't take anymore in at this time. Wish they could have changed the date instead on us losing the money

Posted hours say they close at 5:00, but our sons several slides closed at 4:30. We were literally told to go away after they let someone on a slide (and, no, there wasn't a lineup at the top so it wasn't because there were enough riders to keep it busy until 5:00). The lazy river was closed by 4:30 as well. So, the boys went over and waited in line for 25 minutes at the agua park only to be turned away (again, the person in front of them was permitted to go and they were turned away - after waiting 25 minutes.)
The young staff were very abrupt, bossy, and rude when enforcing rules with kids (not my kids, but kids nonetheless).
There is no seating close to slides for parents who are following their kids around the park.
The wave pool tubes are an added bonus and the agua park is a nice touch.
We rented a daybed and it turned out to be next to a stage with live music (some warning would have been nice for this, but not the end of the world).
We bought a pizza for $26 ... don't waste your money. It's on some kind of whole wheat flat bread. Extremely greasy and even my boys who LOVE pepperoni pizza, really disliked it.
Overall, we spent well over $300 USD and went away disappointed - it was a lot of money for a less than stellar experience.

We like visiting Whale's Tale because it's a decent size - not too big and overwhelming and it is very clean. We also love that you're allowing people to bring in coolers with food and their own chairs /blankets.
The only 1 complaint is the "Johah's Escape" lazy river. People and kids are allowed to enter in the attraction with or without a tube. The description on your website of this attraction is as follows:
"1/4 mile lazy river gently sweeps riders around the waterpark passing under a covered bridge and past waterfalls. A scenic relaxing ride allows you to unwind as you float around the Whale’s Tale Waterpark on a ride that never has to end. A perfect way to calm down and cool off after some of our heart pumping attractions."
So when kids (pre-teens and teens) are allowed to go in without a tube, they're swimming past people while kicking, splashing and horsing around. For those people trying to enjoy a "lazy river" to relax.....this is extremely annoying and anything but relaxing. It either needs to be closely monitored or don't allow people to go in if they're not floating in a tube. There are pools and other more appropriate attractions where kids and swim and splash around.

Spent the whole day here with my family and boy did we have a great time! The slides are awesome - went on all of the multiple times and never got bored! My son tried the surfing simulation and loved it! They have a child swimming area as well as normal swimming and slides so this place is definitely great for families with kids of all ages. Can't wait to come back next year!

The park was more dated than expected, ratings and reviews didn't seem to match. Still had a great time and was satisfied.

This is my favorite water park by far! It is so relaxing, clean and never overly crowded. I love that they have a pool and hot tubs. Staff is friendly, food options are reasonable and good, and lots of seating for everyone.

This park has been around for eons. Unfortunately it appears that it has not been updated for eons. We went to this park this week, concrete walkways were uneven, possibly causing someone to trip and fall. The paint is chipped on many of the pools and attractions. Only one set of bathrooms for the entire park. Parts of the Lazy river floor very uneven. Just seems like a tired park that you pay $45 to get in. Doesn’t seem worth it to me.

We enjoyed the waterpark with our 4 grandchildren (3yrs-14yrs). We love it and try to come every year.

We visited Whales Tale with our 4 children ages 7 to 15, and had an amazing time. The park was clean, the perfect size and the staff were all awesome! Highly recommend visiting!

By far one of the greatest waterparks my son and I have been to. The staff was so friendly, the park was clean, rides were fun. Was worth the 2hr drive. Wwre already planning another trip

Great slides and no waiting in lines. Staff is very good. We have a handicapped child that the staff worked great with

The staff was both professional and extremely friendly. The lifeguards were fantastic and even though they kept their eyes on the water, they were helpful and answered any questions that were asked of them. It was a very exciting and pleasant trip for my whole family!

We were less than impressed with Whales Tale. The park was very small and extremely outdated. We also had an issue with one of the dining areas. The staff were young, rude and unhelpful. Arguing with each other and myself after asking for a refund due to poor communication and an extremely long wait time. I was accused of stealing after paying $38 for 3 items and even tipping when I received none of my order. I was given my refund (minus the tip.) We left after 2 hours. My kids are 4 and 6 and they were ready to leave as they were underwhelmed also. We went to Water Country last summer and had so much fun. We stayed there for hours and admission was cheaper than Whales Tale.

Staffing issues and slide changes killed a classic. The two best slides to the far end of the park had to alternate open/closed the entire day. Then they randomly both opened near the end of the day and both closed suddenly at 4pm. No warning. Full lines. Water just shut off and everybody had to carry their tubes back down. F that. Single tube slide was closed without any reason given. The body slides are good, although two of them it’s impossible to get to the bottom without coming to a complete stop at least once. The removal of the yellow foam mats ruined these slides. Not to mention one of them was head first. It’s still a fun little drop slide but man they packed a punch with the yellow mats. Staff were all great and friendly, but overworked! One guy at the top watching 5 slides, where it should be 3 of them. Two lifeguards max in the wave pool, which operated as essentially a regular pool for a couple hours. The kids had a blast riding the triple tube all day so I can’t argue that, but i feel like a bit of my childhood died yesterday with how the park has changed. $50 a pop and no staff, random slide closures, and dingy looking slides. Be better.

My grandsons and I went yesterday and we had a lot of fun. Rain in forecast so wasn't busy at all. No lines! Didn't rain all day so it was perfect. Park was clean and friendly staff.

We love Whales Tale. I’ve been going as a child and now I’m taking my own. My only complaint is that I had to pay $17 for a 1 y.o who was too young to do anything but the pool. Even the Whale Harbor was too big for him. I also saw multiple life guards on their phone which I find concerning.

First thing we noticed was how clean everything was. Very short wait times for slides. Food and drinks were good. I suggest renting a cabana to have an area to put your stuff as we didn’t find any open chairs

Family friendly! Our grandsons age 6 did not want to leave despite having been there the entire day!

Overall good day. Park has a lot of people visiting but lines move pretty well and water is clean. Great fun for my 2 7 year olds. A little tiring following them around all day but thats the price you pay for having fun with your children. Glad my hotel had a hot tub.

The water park was great for all ages. Lots of things to do, but still small enough that we could go back and forth to activities (and locker!). I loved that they had a regular pool to swim in as well. We will definitely be back soon!

This was our third time visiting Whale's Tale and we still love it just as much as we did on our first visit! It is the CLEANEST water park I have ever been to so you don't feel grossed out walking around barefoot and the lines/crowds are very manageable, especially if you go on weekdays. We have never had to wait longer than 10-15 minutes for a ride and since the park is on the smaller side compared to larger water parks, we feel comfortable letting our 12 and 9 year old daughters wander around and do some rides on their own. The wave pool cabana is totally worth it. You have a shaded area with a table and lounge chairs and they have brought back table service so you can order drinks and lunch through a server. It's near the bathrooms, the bar, the stage for live music, and you can keep an eye on your kids in the wave pool. We have a great day every time we go and will definitely continue to make Whale's Tale part of our summer fun in the future!

My kids loved the slides. They managed the Covid restrictions very well which we greatly appreciated.

Rides were fun, hot tub and heated pool could really use some cleaning. They were not adhering to the 6 feet rule or telling people to back up when invading other families spaces while waiting. Some rides were cleaning the tubes other rides were not. The wave pool had a sign of 50 people max.. every time we saw the pool it had way more than 50 people practically all on top of each other. Tubes were not being sprayed either. Rented a Cabana for the day saw our waitress 1x and we were there the entire day, should have more than 1 person running all the cabanas. Not worth the price when you spend the day and have no service.

Overall the park is a lot of fun, very family-friendly, and well kept. My biggest complaint is how expensive the tickets now are. Over $100 for 2 days for a 1 day pass? That is absolutely crazy. Considering 2 rides were completely closed, I was not pleased. Additionally, it is advertised that the park closes at 5pm, however rides started completely shutting down at 4:45pm. Although it is not a huge deal, spending over $100 and the park closing early was a bit ridiculous.

This was our first time here and we really enjoyed it. The park was clean, not overcrowded, and the staff were friendly. We rented a cabana for the day- which is totally worth it. With the rental we had our own waitress who took excellent care of us all day. I recommend the wave pool area for the cabana as it’s near bathrooms/music. Our kids had a blast with their friends, and the adults enjoyed some of the slides too!

This was our first experience to an "amusement park" as a family. The park is pretty small, so it wasn't intimidating. Free use of tubes and life jackets! A gift shop, places to grab a quick bite, and little lockers available!

We love this water park! It’s extremely family friendly and activities for all ages. The kids have a blast and this is my favorite park of our week long vacation in NH.

The overall park experience. My family and have have been there multiple times and look forward to coming back every year

Clean family oriented water park was well organized and the perfect size for our visit. Lines, if any, are short because they limit the number of people admitted. Highly recommend!!

I understand they couldn’t get enough staff this year, but if you can’t keep the park running safely close some of the slides and reduce admission! There are several slides that are all on the same platform, and they only had one attendant. So children are literally deciding for themselves when it is safe to go and no one at all is watching to make sure those kids are actually big enough for the slides. An 8 year old told my boyfriend “look for the green light.” Also they closed one food place so the wait for pretty crappy food was really, really long. They fry their own chips, which is cool, but they should really focus on something else to provide more options or better quality. They lost power while we were there, we couldn’t hear the announcement but figured it out when the water stopped flowing. No announcement at all when it came back on about 20 minutes later. Kids were asking me at the lazy river what to do since there was no attendant. My kids had a blast anyway. But it was way overpriced and then we still had to pay for a locker! All the teenagers working there seemed nice and were doing the best they could. Don’t bother looking at the cocktails unless you like Redbull. I got an email from them asking for a five star review (hah!) or an email if I had any complaints. I sent the email but got no response so now I’m giving a two star review.

My family loves this park. It's always clean & well kept. It's never over crowded & the slides are all awesome to go on. The views are great as well! Amazing place & a must if you're staying in the area or nearby.

This has become a yearly tradition for our family!
The staff is exemplary, both professional and personable. This is our favorite New England waterpark, since it has options for the brave and not so brave. A great park set in a beautiful part of the country!

This is my second time with Alpine Adventures. I went with a friend the first time, and we brought back our 6-year-olds for the second trip. Both times were fabulous! What makes it so great are the people running it. Very kind and fun individuals. They were especially great with our little kids! Can't wait to go back to tackle the more challenges ziplining courses!

My daughter and two nieces love this place. I wish they had a lazy river like the water parks in florida. Ones that you can just wear a vest and float around in.

The water park was fun with very short queues and good slides. Not the biggest but i’ve just been spoilt by amazing parks in europe. Friendly staff, sun loungers available and pirate ship area for younger kids. One criticism is that we had to wait in quite a long line to buy our tickets for the park because the till machines were being temperamental. Also, my husband is injured so couldn’t go on any slides but still wanted to come and sit/watch the kids but there was no spectators pass, we would’ve had to pay for a child’s ticket which isn’t too expensive but isn’t worth it for him to not use any slides.

My family and I celebrated our daughters 15 birthday on Saturday. Check in wasn’t that long of a wait( we got there at 10:15 .def glad I got my tickets online beforehand( cheaper&quicker) although the weather was kinda chilly, we had a wonderful time. Just kept jumping in hot tub after going on rides to warm uphaha! Short wait times and got there early to have a nice spot in front. Really love that they provide life jackets for the little ones to borrow- thank you! Would def recommend going to whales tale again.
Amber

When I arrived there were two chocolate labs in the truck parked next to me.The truck appeared to be running for a while and did not seem to be in the best shape. We went inside thinking their owner would be out shortly. When I returned to my vehicle 1 and 1/2 hours later the dogs were still there. The temperature on Sunday 7/3/2022 was over 83 degrees. The window was open just enough for the one dog to stick his tongue into a small cup and drink 3 bottles of water, the other dog was too scared and would not. We reported it to the main office at whale tale and they sent the owner out. ( No one from Whale’s tail checked on the situation). We watched as he did not even greet his dogs, and proceeded to sit in his car. Then, he went back into the park without even giving the dogs water. After spending 108$ on tickets our day was ruined because all we could think of was these poor chocolate lab’s left in the car. Hopefully in the future Whale’s Tale will be more vigilant , No dog should ever be left unattended for hours in 84 degree heat.

I love the Whales Tale. Perfect size water park for the area. Been going here for years! I try to go at least once a year!

Had a great time with my husband and 3 kids ages 15, 13, and 11. There’s something there for everyone and of all ability levels.

Trey was awesome and fun experience!
Highly recommend if you're just getting used to off roading. Ziplining and other fun things to do.

I have taken my grandchildren for over 8 years now. Great offer at Christmas time makes it easy to purchase tickets. Park has been voted one of the best top 10 amusement parks in America! and it should immaculate safe and fun rides for all ages! I always get a cabana so nice to be waited on at lunchtime and a great place to relax
Can't wait for next year!

Wonderful late summer day at Whale's Tale! Last trip before school starts and decided to try out this spot after seeing how close it was to our hotel. The park is well kept and clean with a super cool retro vibe right down to the 80's music coming out of the speakers. Super friendly staff, great crowd of families enjoying their time and lots of space to spread out with some shady spots even available.
So often going to these places can be so overwhelming with kids, but we felt safe here and the smaller space made it feel so much more manageable. The staff was also a big plus. Sometimes, parks can seem annoyed by their customers and even rude. But everyone here was smiling, good natured and patient with the kids and adults. I even liked how frequently they rotated stations to be on top of their jobs and stay alert.
One slide wasn't open when we were there. We never waited more than 10 minutes to ride anything (bonus of coming this time of year).
Only downside was the food situation (only one spot open), which I'm sure was due to staff returning to school and being in the Fall schedule. But really that was it!
Our kids can't wait to come back next year!

Great place!! Love it! We go every year! Staff is great I’m glad they could stay staffed in these hard times!

We love this place from ages 1- 14 for kids there’s something for each to do plus us parents. You can also bring a cooler in which saves when your a large family

We had a wonderful time, Lines weren't too bad. Fun for the whole family! I would recommend to anyone who likes water slides.

First time visitor to Whale's Tale and loved it! I brought my two kids, 8 and 10, and reluctantly suited up myself (in general I'm not a walk around in my bathing suit/throw myself down a water slide kind of person). I'm so so glad I did- I had SO much fun. My kids, naturally, loved it and were tall enough to go on everything. They braved the steeper faster slides and were able to follow the directions on proper riding positions with no problem. I went on the slides I was willing to try and had a blast as well. We also spent time in the lazy river, the pool and hot tub, and the wave pool. The wave pool was by far my favorite as an adult. My kids were also so happy playing at Shipwreck Cove and that's where I sat and relaxed while they played. Shipwreck Cove was perfect for their ages- not too "babyish" and plenty to keep them busy and they said the slides were really fast there too- plus no wait. They rode pretty much every slide in the park, multiple times, and didn't have to wait for than 10-15 minutes. I felt there were plenty of lifeguards, but I was also with my kids in the pool/wave pool/lazy river, so I was supervising them myself for the most part- but there were guards stationed everywhere I could see. I also felt the staff was so kind at each of the slides and were patient with new riders, explaining how to get into tubes, how to position yourself, etc.
The park was extremely clean and I saw multiple staff members walking around cleaning throughout the day. We also brought snacks in, as we were allowed, but didn't eat them- too busy having fun! We did have lunch at the park and I thought prices were pretty reasonable - 3 drinks, chicken tenders (a large portion), a cheeseburger, a hot dog, french fries, 2 bags of chips and a package of cookies was $53. We did have to wait for food, but we went at lunch rush and they were pushing out food as fast possible.
We also rented a locker for the day, as I knew I would be walking around and not able to supervise my wallet and bag- the cost was $18 for the day and I could fit my backpack, 3 large beach towels (bring your own- they don't offer towels!), and shoes- it was all smushed in, but we made it work. The park felt safe, and many people just claimed their spots with their bags and towels and just left them unoccupied- that's up to you. Bathrooms and changing rooms are clean, and they offer plastic bags to put wet clothes in when you head home.
We got our tickets ahead of time and arrived shortly before they were opened and stayed until closing. Highly recommend coming here - we will be back!

Spent the day and everything was great!! Very clean and it was nice not to pay for the extras like tubes and life jackets. Staff was great.

Went for Father's Day. Was a great time. We selected this particular park for the surfing 🏄♂️ even though it was a 2 1/2 hour drive for me and my kids. When we arrived we found out that the surfing wasnt running that day. 😮💨 Was disappointing but we made the best of the day

Our family of all ages had a great time together! The kids were never bored, the food on site was well priced and delicious, and we can’t wait to go again!

We go here every summer with extended family. So much fun! It is a very relaxing place and there are lots of lounge chairs for all the folks who just want to hang out and watch the kids play. Slides are great. Kids love it. Shop on site if you have forgotten to pack anything. Food is good. All around good deal.

We had a great time, everyone (staff) were excellent. Very friendly and helpful when needed. Definitely got our Moneys worth.

We had so much fun - there is plenty to do for the day. It’s busy but relaxing at the same time! Staff was friendly and helpful.

I wanted my kids to visit a place where I had fond memories as a child and Whale's Tale did not disappoint. After 35 years, they have definitely maintained and upgraded this waterpark to a fabulous degree. I had two 13 year olds and a 10 year old with me and the park was perfect for their ages. It was large enough to spend the entire day, but small enough to let my 13 year olds roam safely together without having to be in my eyesight at every moment. We splurged on a cabana since my parents were with us and my mom has to be careful in the sun. It was well worth the money paid with an attentive waitress who would take orders and bring food and drinks to us, and a bit of shade and privacy when needed. It was very easy to locate and parking was tight but plentiful on a busy day. The lifeguards and staff were well engaged with visitors and safety is clearly a priority at the park. It was definitely a highlight of our summer and
I would love to visit again!

The customer service was excellent. I had several questions prior to coming. Amy called me back twice and provided all information I needed and more! Grandchildren loved it. Would definitely go back!

Super long lines on a mid week day over 45 minutes dues to 1 person running three slides at the top. Super dirty grounds with wrappers everywhere. Life guards were on their phones instead of watching riders coming down or in the pools. This is the not the same whales tales we have experienced year after year. Even our kids were disgusted.

Great Water Park. Clean and not too crowded. We were a group of 7 (4 adults, 3 teens). Rented a cabana for the day. It was perfection. All but one adult were in water on and off a majority of the day. We had such a good time. Would definitely go back if we are in the area. We have spent more money to go to water parks that are just too crowded and the wait times terrible. Highly recommend.

Opening to close, always a fun time!! Great friendly and always helpful staff! Can’t wait until next year.

We had a really great time at Whale’s Tale. The kids really enjoyed the different slides, wave pool and the huge pool. The place is clean and is not overcrowded. We rented a cabana and it was the perfect spot to eat and rest in between activities. We will definitely come again.

My family an I visited on August 20th. I was a little frustrated that the park opened at 10 but most slides and lazy River didn’t open till 10:30. We did enjoy the wave pool, water slides and the shipwreck island. It was great for kids of all ages. Could use a little updating on the lazy River an some slides but other than that our experience was pretty good.

Excellent day trip. Well kept, great attendants. Plenty of room. Very safe for the kids. Very clean.

The best experience in a water park. Very clean and staff was great to deal with. Easy to get around and lines were well managed! Great experience!

We took our family here to celebrate our 13 year old's birthday and were very impressed. There are plenty of rides but it's not overwhelmingly huge. The park was very clean and the water didn't have a crippling amount of chlorine. I loved that we could bring in our own food, but there was also food and a bar available. We rented a cabana, which was great. I think if you want to secure chairs, you should get there pretty early. We saw a lot of people seeking out a place to sit. My husband and I enjoyed people watching and checking out the lazy river, while the kids slid down all of the wild rides. There was also live music - loved the "Red Hat" band! Very impressed and would definitely come back.

Went with my husband and kids. Stayed until closing. Plenty to do and had a lot of fun. My only complaint would be that they are under staffed. Everywhere you went to order there was one person working the counter/register. Long lines waiting for food/snacks to order and pay.

Great experience, from on line reservations to our day at the park. Check in was seamless and attendants at each slide and pool were just that, attentive and competent. We felt that Whales Tale was a very safe, fun experience for our entire family. We will definitely return!

Our family had so much fun! The park has a ton to offer for everyone in the family (all ages). The staff was friendly and helpful all day. I also enjoyed how clean and well landscaped the park was! Highly recommended!!

I live in Lincoln, NH and have driven by a million times but it just never looked like anything special from the road. Don’t be fooled by the front facade, the park is impressive with something for every age. The park is clean, the water is clean and the kids working there are great!

We had a GREAT time together as a family. There's something for everyone! The park is very clean, the staff are kind and helpful, and the rides are all so much fun.
We rented a locker and brought a lunchbox that we kept in it with our valuables. We also brought a bag of dry clothes and towels for the end or the day and left that on top of the lockers with no issues.
Definitely recommend!

First time going to Whales Tale. We had such a good time and look forward to returning. We rented a cabana and highky recommend getting one. The park wasn't super crowded which we liked. The lines were only about 10-15 minute waits mid-day which wasn't bad.

So much to do in this park, and the kids had a blast! The hot tub jets were all broken, the poolside bar was closed, and the restaurant was closed - I chock this up to lack of staffing that the entire nation is suffering from. It dampened our experience here after paying $215 entry. However, our young children didn’t notice, and they enjoyed themselves. We would return here, for sure.

We had a great time at the water park. Weather was nice enough for us to enjoy the water activities. We were able to try all the available slides. Definitely coming back next time we are up this way.

I’ve been going to this park since I was young and I love bringing my family now. The park is very clean and we have a blast on all the rides. You can bring in your own food and drinks or buy a variety of refreshments at the restaurant. There was some great live music while we were there this weekend, as well. Always a great time!

Fun day for 2 age 9 children. They had a great time. A couple of rides were out of order due to an electrical issue but overall a fun day. Would definitely return. Park is clean and well managed.

Great staff, clean facilities and an awesome place to spend the day!!! There are activities for every age. We will be back soon!

We went with my children and their families. There were 11 of us so I ended up renting a cabana, which I highly recommend. My five grandchildren, ages four through eight, had the time of their life! They went on water slides, down the lazy river, in the heated pool and wave pool. They especially liked the children’s area! We can’t wait to return next year!

Kids had a blast at Whale's Tale! Beautiful water park, super clean facility and friendly staff. Rides are great for teens as well as little kids. The tiki bar is great for the adults!
We go back every year!

This is such a great family water park. There is something for all ages and it isn’t overwhelmingly crowded. I feel safe letting my children (10-17) roam without constant adult supervision with their friends. It means the teens can ride adventure attractions while the younger ones play safe in the wave pool or splash zones. I also like how I can ride the kiddie slides with my kids so they don’t have to be alone. There is lots of seating and field space to make a “base camp” for the day.

Great waterpark with friendly staff! Clean and lots of options for my 4 and 7 year old. We went on a day where there was an unexpected thunder storm and they handled it well and followed all protocols.

Snack bar prices are out of control and limited options. Bring your own food! Some of the slides were closed when we were there 06/28/21.

I've said it before it'll say it again, this is the best water park in New England. We were there yesterday, we got the last parking space, yet it did not feel too crowded inside. Clean and well kept, everything and working order, abundant food with reasonable lines (The pizza could be better, but the fries are great). It's got big slides for the thrills, and lots of other things for the whole family, lazy river, wave pool, splash tower, even hot tubs which many water parks overlook. Plus the views are outstanding

I recently went to whales tale with my young adult daughter and her boyfriend. I have been here in the past and always had fun. I had fun this time also, but there were a couple of negatives that I noticed.
1. As I waited on the stairs of the slide next to the wave pool and was looking around, I noticed that there was quite alot of bird droppings all over the structure beams and am bringing it to your attention.
2. I am strongly suggesting that you put in your rules that thong bikinis aren't allowed. This is a family park and I don't think it is appropriate.

As always, our family outing to Whales Tale was a superb time for all! From the kids to the grandparents, everyone left smiling. See you next summer!

We had an amazing day. The park is clean and has beautiful grounds. Plenty of shade, sun and seats for everyone! This was our second time here and once again we had a fabulous time! I thought maybe we just got lucky on our first visit as it was end of June in 2022 - so wondering if our mid July visit would also be great...and it was! No lines, plenty of chairs, clean park :)

First time driving a side by side, Chad was excellent, he made us feel comfortable, was engaging , the experience was awesome

Like many of the previous reviews this is a great waterpark, one of the best we have visited. The rides were great and accessible for both our 7 & 10 year old boys. From about 3pm the school camps left meaning the park was much quieter and we barely queued for any of the rides. We left just before the park closed at 6pm.

This water park is just the right size no matter the age of your children . Not to crowed and plenty to do . The staff is super kind .
Due to Covid I would encourage as many people to go that can as they are running only at 25% capacity and that is a huge loss to an amazing water park that has been around for such a long time .

The Best of the best. It was really fun and the employees were really awesome and helpful .I can’t wait for the next trip !!

We visited the park and had a wonderful time! With the pandemic going on we were a bit anxious to go, but the staff and precautions made us feel very reassured and made for a wonderful time! Rita working the COVID screening was especially friendly and very kindly answered my daughter’s many questions, which just made her day that much better :) We can’t wait to come back next summer!

Great families friendly park. Staff was friendly and attentive and park is well maintained. Some additional food choices with GF options would be great additions but you can bring your own cooler so not a big deal. We love coming here at least once a year

Whales tale provided the fun and excitement I had been missing in my everyday life. Staff was super polite and friendly but heck, who wouldn’t be that happy getting to spend every day at The Whale’s Tale! The most enjoyable part of the true Whale’s Tale experience is the running gag the facility does of the park losing power at 1PM daily. It’s no wonder people fly cross country and drive miles to come to The Whale’s Tale. The park has truly earned the nickname of “The Disney Land of the Great White North”

I'm sure it's a good park when all the following are corrected.
- It was 80° outside but, the water was about 60°. It was far too cold for my wife and I to enjoy.
- Two of the attractions were shut down. Understandable. If happens.
- One of the attractions that requires riders to use tubes only had about 6 tubes. The line on the ground was very long because you had to wait for a rider to come down with a tube before you could ascend the stairs.
- We waited in line for one attraction and the line didn't move for about 10 minutes. It was a dual slide and we only saw 1 rider on each slide go down. No indication as of to why. One of the riders didn't even make it all the way down.
- All of the water was freezing as stated above. We tested the water at every attraction and it was all the same except for the "heated pool".
- The heated pool was what we expected the rest of the park to be like. For a heated pool, it was not that warm. Maybe high 70's.
- Both hot tubs were over capacity with a lifeguard on duty watching it all. Each hot tub had about 10 - 12 teens/tweens in it plus a couple adults. Capacity is 5.
- Kids were jumping in the heated pool even though the guidelines state no jumping. You could see other guests were unhappy about this. Again, a lifeguard was on duty and present.
My daughter had some fun but, we left an hour after arriving because of cold water and terrible lines/lack of equipment.
Would not recommend.

We had a great time. The park is very clean and lots of fun! We would definitely be back! Very relaxing day

Decided to visit on a cloudy day thinking it would not be as packed - wrong! Just as packed especially at 10:30 for just be opened. it was over $130.00 for just the 3 of us. Rides are decent if you can wait in the lines. After paying that much and not able to do the water rides more than twice, its not worth in. My daughter did love the Bonsai Ride and the Tornado/Toilet Bowl Ride.
Not again
My grandchildren loved the children's area,, after 5hrs of playing in the area, 2 of the 4 was told they couldn't be in that area anymore, the 3 and 5 yr old was forces to go to the baby area, which wasn't fair or right,,, they had life jackets on and was being supervised by 4 adults at all times my daughters were upset that the relief lifeguard was hateful and mean to the littles not a good way to act or talk to children , they 2 littlest cried for over an hour, when my daughter left with 2 upset children,, I was very upset, and it ruined our family trip,,, after almost 5hrs, this should not have been an issue,, poor, attitude, bad judgment and very rude and nasty lifeguard,, who obviously needs to act like an adult and not curse at my grandkids,, been there for 4yrs, not again,,
