We enjoyed our visit, we both purchased a glass, kinda a small pour for the price. They are really into the lavender here, numerous products with or about lavender. They had a cute barnyard, but wanted a fee (surprisingly) to walk there, so we passed on that.

White Oak Lavender has everything lavender. A lovely farm where you can walk through the lavender maze or visit the store and buy everything from lavender tea to loose lavender and sachets, stress balls made with lavender or lotions, shampoos or essential oils. Adjacent is the winery where you can taste wines infused with lavender. A must visit when in the Harrisonburg area.

The wine slushies were so good! Relaxing place to hang out and stroll the grounds. Went overboard at the shop.

To be honest, I was expecting more "farm" with more fields of lavender to see, but it was mainly a winery with a gift shop.
There is an area behind the gift shop with some animals to see -- it costs $3 per person -- but it's not a petting zoo. Note: If you pay by credit card anywhere at the farm/vineyard, they have a $9 minimum for the transaction.
The winery was very nice with many comfortable places to sit, & we loved the lavender-infused wines we tried.

Visiting Massanutten, Va the girls wanted to visit this lavender farm. Way to much for my olfactory senses. That said the girls loved it to the point that I could not get them out of there. I guess depends on which camp you are in could b wonderful!

Nice place. Very unique. We love the newer wine with lavender. the ice cream is GREAT! So many fun and unique options for gifts! The animals are great for the family and not to mention that you can buy the lavender to take home and plant!! So relaxing!

We stopped at the farm to see lavender grow and to learn about the plant. The gardens were beautiful and the gift shop was filled with all things "lavender". The farm had areas to visit outdoors but the weather prevented us from ourdoor activities.

Very nice place for an afternoon with the family or just as a couple. Very friendly and inviting staff. Great wines to purchase or sample. Indoor and outdoor bar to do a tasting or have a glass of your favorite. Also more outdoor seating and games for kids. Nice gift shop with lots of cool lavender products as well as their own yummy ice cream!

We stopped by here and sampled the Wine and visited the grounds . The suroundings are pretty and there are alot of farm animals for you to see along with outdoor yard games.
our to young Grandchildren had a great time petting and feeding the Miniture horses.
i would recomend stopping by if your in the area

It was OK. Over-priced gift shop. You could walk around the lavender farm for $3 per person, but there were only chickens and pigs (not allowed to touch). A couple of horses and a lama behind a fence. No lavender to pick. My kids were bored. Perhaps better suites for older/kidless folks.

Views and farm is amazing but the lavender products don't really last long. I was very excited to see the lavender plants surrounding the beautiful landscape. I bought fabric spray and car scent application for vents. Scent leaves within seconds. Not much lavender in the products. Lots of lavender in the ice cream though. Had to pick through to remove all the petals.
I love to visit and will continue but won't be purchasing any products.

What a beautiful place. The scent is intoxicating when you walk into the shop. The variety of lavender products is overwhelming. I can never walk in without making a purchase. Their items are wonderful and make great gifts. The petting farm is great for the kids. It is truly a wonderful place.

We were last here a number of years ago, but stopped in while staying at the Massanutten Resort. Much expanded since our last visit. More tasting rooms, places for the kids to roam and more animals. We found beer here, and sat outside with two IPA’s. It was Mothers Day, and they were having live music. Very friendly staff. Definitely worth the visit.

I’d give this more stars if I could. First we visited the lavender store where we sniffed, tasted tea and tested lotions. It was so relaxing. Then we progressed to the tasting room and it’s a delight. The tasting was done in a manner that was created during covid and was unique to us. We loved it and loved the wines even more. Everyone working there was polite, enthusiastic and helpful. This was worth visiting.

Lovely grounds; beautifully set up and COVID friendly, but I was not impressed with any of the wines. $24/bottle is a steep price for their wine. If it was $14ish I would’ve purchased some lavender infused wines just to share. The $12 for 12 samples of wine sounds acceptable but the small plastic containers barely give you a sample to savor. I was not impressed with any of the wines. The blueberry /lavender ice cream is a showstopper.

Love this lavender shop! Wonderful products! If you love lavender as I do stop by! Foot cream is excellent along with the face cream. Really like the body cream also. Bring on winter! I am ready! A winery attached to our which we did not visit but would have if we had more time. Anyway, great products made with love. It shows!

Very 'purple' place to unwind. Lovely shop and even has wine tasting with infused lavender. The wine was not good but the place overall has potential.

Stopped by to pick up some lavender items. Then found it was also a winery. Lavender infused, kinda different. Not for the wine gourmet. Think there are animals for children too and adults found them fun. They said watch out for the turkey. The lavender items were more extensive than other lavender stores I've visited. Worth a visit.

This place was so much fun. Fields and fields of all different kinds of lavender, lots of seating throughout the farm. Wine tasting and light nosh. Llamas and horses around, and free range chickens. Nice gift shop, a little pricey, but we all walked out with bags of things. Great place to spend a few hours, very serene surroundings.

Great place for kids, big and little! 7 in the party, brought a picnic lunch, order a couole glasses of thier wine and enjoyed the setting. Great little animal farm for the little ones, clean and beautifully maintained area. Lawn games available to just hang out.
We will be back....

This is a lavender farm and winery! My husband and I enjoyed our tasting at this winery's outdoor very pretty tasting room. All of the wines were quite good and we especially enjoyed those delicately infused with lavender. These are serious wines robust and will pair well with food.
We took home a few bottles knowing these, and the port, are very special. Allow time to enjoy their lavender field and shop with all kinds of loose lavender and infused products.

Enjoyed the wine tasting and the beautiful winery grounds. Loved the gift shop with everything lavender and the horses and alpacas were cute. Great seating, many tables with gas operated fire pits in the center.

We stopped by Harrisonburg VA on our way back to NYC from Pigeon Forge TN.
It was a nice sunny day. Many cars parked outside of the farm. We thought there was a wedding. It turned out to be wine tasting. $12 for four. The kids had Lavender ice cream. The lavender products in the farm were a bit pricey, but it was expected. We had a relaxing afternoon there.

Listen Do yourseld a favor and visit White Oak Lavender Farm it was amazing friendly staff, calming ,relaxing atmosphere. games ,shopping ,wine & a live band . i absolutely lovedddd this place i cant wait to visit again

Wonderful time with family. My twin daughters loved the animals. We also cut our own lavender. The view is amazing from wherever you are. They also loved the lavender ice cream!

Decided to take a ride here while staying at Mass Resort. Beautiful grounds. Nice and relaxed shop to find everything lavender. Went next door to the winery to taste the wines. Wasn't overly impressed with any of the wines, but did buy a bottle to take home. You can even pick lavender I believe while your here. Pretty place to make a quick stop.

Very nice, quaint location. Beautifully located in the mountains. I highly recommend a visit if you love lavendar at all. Had a petting zoo, lavendar picking fields, wine tasting, live music, ice cream, you name it. Interesting little place to see. The staff was very pleasant.

We enjoyed being able to see the animals this trip and look forward to going back in the summer to enjoy the lavender in bloom. Go enjoy yourself...oh and they carry great soap.

This place offers a variety of lavender products. Beautiful place! It also has a wine tasting room with delicious wines!

I called and found out that there is a guitar player in the wine tasting area on Wednesdays. So my husband and I decided to take the jaunt over from our hotel. What a beautiful place. Unfortunately, August is not the best time for seeing Lavender; but the wine tasting made up for it! We decided on the full round and we both felt the $12.00 fee for all of the tastings was well worth the money. While I tend to more west coast wines, we actually agreed on 3 bottles for purchase. You must go if you are in Harrisonburg! Everyone at White Oak was just so lovely. We ventured over to the gift shop (where almost everything is lavender). We were greeted by a jovial lady who was willing to answer any questions we had.

Just about anything lavender can be found here. They have added a wine tasting building, also with a lavender theme.

I knew this was not a place my husband and son would be super excited about but I think they may have after all! My daughter (14) and I made a visit and toured the entire farm ($3pp) and cut some lavender ($5/35 stems). We enjoyed relaxing in the swings, walking the little labyrinth, visiting all the animals and purchased some goodies in the shop. Next time I will bring the husband and leave the kids so we can try the wine tasting and enjoy the live outdoor music and cozy bar.

Enjoyed the farm on a gloomy late fall day. The scents in the shop we calming as was the music and the warm lavender infused tea. Found a few things to fill the stockings this Christmas.
The tasting room was also a lovely atmosphere. We really enjoyed the lavender infused wine.
Beautiful views ... a lot to savour . A lovely day out and about!

This vineyard has apparently been pretty successful and has a lot of amenities available. These include large indoor and outdoor areas, multiple wine bars with tastings, a nice gift shop with lavender products, and farm animals. We visited and got a full wine tasting of 12 wines. We particularly enjoyed the dessert wines and lavender-infused wines and left with a couple bottles. There's plenty of parking and the wine bar attendant was very friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant place for a drink.

My wife and daughters promised I would enjoy the trip . . . and I was skeptical.
But they were right.
Beautiful facility, friendly people, great products - including the wine and ice cream!
Totally worth it!

We came here for the winery, but loved their store. This place has beauty products, aromatherapy stress balls, recipe cards with pouches of lavender and much more. The ice cream was awesome- I had the lemon lavender and hubby had the lavender vanilla. For $3 each, they were a decent treat.

This was a very nice lavender farm. I had never been to one so I have nothing to compare. For $3.00 you can go see the grounds and walk back and see some animals; sheep, pigs, horses, etc. You can see bigger lavender gardens and a drying area. You can spend more money and get an actual tour and various information. It was very pretty and peaceful. We just did the $3,00 walk around on your own. Maybe that was a bit more than it should be but not bad. You could try lavender coffee, tea, vinegar and etc. You could test the sprays, lotion and so forth. So, maybe that was worth the $3,00 even though some of that was actually free. Hey if you want, there was also lavender ice cream you could purchase. They had a lot of ice things you could purchase and they were a little pricy. There was a lotion I tried I wish I would have gotten the name of that, it really was nice. All in all, I am glad we stopped by. It was worth it to me.

Offers lavender flavored ice cream in four varieties. My favorite is lemon lavender and I have also had blueberry lavender. I have not tired vanilla or strawberry lavender. Nowhere else offers this ice cream

I really like the wide variety of lavender products ranging from oils, sprays, bath items, beverages, and even ice cream! There is a small wine shop as well. Wonderful goodies for relaxing - well worth the trip and time.

Lots to see and do!
If you plan to take people to see the animals, you have
to stop inside the lavender store to buy a pass. They have miniature goats,
chickens, rabbits, miniature horses, and alpaca.
The lavender store has so many types of lavender in so many different
forms - soaps, plants, etc. it can overwhelm your nose and throat!
The winery is just a few steps away...there are places to sit outside
as well as inside.
We had a nice lunch at the food truck that was parked there.
So don't forget that.
The lavender is just beginning to grow for the spring season into summer.
If you have trouble walking, the ground is uneven so be aware of that.
They have some construction going on but I don't know for what.
Take your time and enjoy the grounds!

Wow, talk about taking me back to my childhood and the heavenly scent of lavender that I remember so well! Upon a recent trip down Crossed Keys Road, we found the White Oak Lavender farm and decided to venture in. First stop was their Gift Shop filled with everything Lavender. The aroma of lavender filled the air both inside and out and brought back a flood of childhood memories. I sampled their Lavender tea, bought some of the Blueberry Lavender Jam, and Lavender Facial Mist. Had I not been pressed for time, I would surely have made more purchases. The grounds are lovely and filled with plantings, and many placed to be seated, relax and enjoy the relaxing effects of breathing the pleasant fragrances. If you are so inclined you can feast on some Lavender Ice Cream while relaxing. Also there is a winery on site with space to sit and enjoy a delightful glass of their wine. So glad that we decided to stop and would encourage others to do the same.

This is a nice place to spend a few hours, they have also started a new winery the Purple Wolfe I think is the name of it. The lavendar is very beautiful and they have a lot of unique products.

Farm in a rural setting off rte 33; small admission fee but worth it. Experience "lavender" first hand. Very pretty setting; has a small pond and a labyrinth for walking/meditation, if you like. Lovely gift shop; kids would enjoy the small farm animals. Worth a visit. The setting makes the trio worthwhile.

I took the Learn About Lavender class at the Massanutten Resort, which is how I learned about White Oaks Lavender Farm. My husband and I decided to go out and visit, and did a wine flight. Their wines were excellent for a smaller Winery. They also have a very unique store that sells all of their lavender products, which I think are very reasonably priced. We ate some of the lavender ice cream, which was extremely delicious and refreshing. If we visited this area again, I would definitely stop over just to take in the breathtaking views and enjoy a glass of wine.

What a nice compliment to the beautiful rolling terrain of the surrounding Shenandoah Valley, White Oak Lavender Farm is! We tasted some wine, bought some items and enjoyed the people an the great surroundings! I can see why they hold several local events here !

What a pleasant surprise to have a wine tasting room, lovely outdoor tasting bar and a very complete lavender store next to a beautiful little lavender field and places to sit on the porch or outside patio! Try the lavender infused wines (very unique and special and something we liked) and visit the extensive lavender shop with lotions, creams, teas, jellies, candy, aromatherapy, and lotions made with other ingredients other than lavender. The staff was very pleasant, friendly and attentive to everyone in the shops and tasting areas. Tasting fee is charged as in most vineyards these days. It's a nice side trip and relaxing stop.

We had a good visit to this shop and grounds. The area is lovely; the grounds with animals fun to explore. The shop has numerous lavender products and is fun to see how versatile its use.

A friend and I recently stopped by the farm or a wine tasting. The tasting room is small, but we were lucky enough to arrive at a good time to not have to wait long. Interesting wine for those who enjoy off-dry to sweet wine. I found one dry red that I enjoyed a glass of. Some of the wines are infused with lavender, and I can't say that they were my favorites. I enjoy lavender in other things, but wouldn't purchase the infused choices. Nice little deck, and there happened to be a harpist there, so we were able to also enjoy some music. Enjoyable experience overall, but probably won't go back for wine.

We came while not in bloom but the lavender drying room was still impressive and the farm still very neat to walk around. Animals were all sunbathing and relaxing. The walk around was very inexpensive and would be very fun for family with kids too. The gift shop offered several great gifts. I could buy so much there (and I did)!

It was nice, fragrant and had lavender infused wine. Must visit and see the animals as well. Wine tastings and samples of products available.

This is a great peaceful place if you LOVE lavender. The girls who work there are very friendly. Everything you could possibly imagine is there and made from lavender. There is also a little farm out back. I really loved seeing the animals. A must see if you are near there.

Friendly staff. Nice music Very pristine. We want for music and wine tasting but enjoyed the Lavender farm and grounds tremendously. The store was awesome purchased several items and tasted Lavender Coffee ☕️

This is a very interesting place to visit. It is not often you get to see a working lavender farm, be able to buy products made with the lavender and taste some of which are made with lavender. In addition there is a sweet petting zoo for the children. Very pleasant experience

I have frequented White Oak Lavender Farm almost every time I am in the Harrisonburg area. I highly recommend it. The shop is wonderful and the aroma when you walk in is all encompassing and so relaxing. Truly lovely people work there and are very helpful. I actually bought some of the lavender plants that they sell. I had questions and emailed them and got a quick and thorough answer and great advice. Make sure to stop there when you are in the area.

Not only do they offer wine tastings and winery tours, they also had a patio looking out on to the countryside for sitting and sipping a glass of wine while listening to live music. The gift shop included just about anything that you could imagine mixed with their fresh lavender. This is truly a great place to spend an extended afternoon.

Went last week while vacationing. The staff was friendly and the wine sampling good, the gardens we lacking due to the season. Probably a better place to visit in the summer.

We really enjoyed our trip to the lavender and it made for a good afternoon. Only for the smells of lavender and products, this would have made a good trip but throw in the tour and petting zoo and it was more than I expected.

About 1 hr and 10 min from Charlottesville, this farm has many varieties of lavender to pick and lavender flavored ice cream which uniquely is not as sweet as you would expect. Tranquil setting indeed!

Driving through Harrisonburg we stopped at this vineyard. I tried the red wine tasting menu and was disappointed. All of the wines had a very strong acidity taste. The shops however had several neat items to purchase.

A unique place to stop between the farm and the winery. We were there to visit the winery. Staff was very nice, had a very nice 12 flight tasting option set up. Small cups, lids marked and you went down the paper list and enjoyed your flight. We opted to share a flight. Grounds and seating area's are very nice. And be warned, purple is key. Lots of purple furnishings in the winery area, the tables, chairs and decor. The lavender shop was nice too. Flight was reasonable and generous that you could do 12. They were not huge samples but it was nice to have the full list to taste and we were able to share the flight. Some of the wines have lavender infused and the taste is notable. Pleasantly surprised we liked them as much as we did. With the farm and ability to buy plants and other things it can be part adult part family fun.

Visited the lavender farm after looking on Internet for things around the massenutten resort. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the uses of lavender quick to answer questions and offer suggestions. Beautiful farm and very soothing for the soul.

After meeting a couple of the staff at the Harrisonburg Farmers Market, they convinced us to take a drive out to the farm. It is so beautiful, with lots of purple.
The store offers a huge variety of lavender products, and some non lavender, from soaps and lotions/scrubs, to aromatherapy and foods. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is 1 guided tour available each day in season to explore the Farm and teach you about lavender. It’s held 1 hour after opening; sign up at the register in the store if interested. You can also pay a small fee and do a self guided tour around the area to see the animals, etc.

My husband and I went out of our way to visit this place because of the reviews. The Discovery Area was small and the animals weren’t out, making it a waste of money. We went next door to do the wine tasting, which was pretty good if a little expensive for the small pours. What really killed the experience for us was when we asked for water bottle refills after ordering a cheese plate and wine flight. They told us they could not give us water because they were “not a restaurant.” This on a 96 degree day after we drank a lot of wine. I’ve never been denied water before, especially after having been served alcohol. Really not cool. Literally.

We get lavender plants here every year to replace old ones in our yard, or plants for new spaces. The gift shop is large with a wide variety of lavender products, and the petting zoo is a real treat!

Rainy day so we decided to head over and do a tasting. The wines are all decent, there is plenty for the kids to do there while we taste. There is also seating inside and out which is nice to enjoy a glass. However, there is no food(cheese plates) when we were here last year they said they were working on it, i guess that plan fell through. Worth a trip, we'll be back next time.

We weren't impressed with the wine. It was not sweet at all, and we are used to drinking sweet red wine being from the S. IL Wine Trail area. The wine slushies however, were very good! If you like dry, more bitter wines, this is the place for you. It may be a cultural thing too where the grapes grown in the area taste different than where I live. I am picky with how my wine tastes so most would probably love it.

Visited the Lavender Farm on a whim after attending Dayton Days and we are so glad we did. Actually met up with a friend and spent some time on the porch enjoying the rocking chairs and visiting. It was a beautiful day and they had folks coming in and out often during our hour visit. Bring your children as there are some animals to enjoy, small petting zoo and a good place for young ones to run around. I did not sample the wine however there was plenty of seating and a musician was playing guitar which was a nice touch. Wine tasting prices were reasonable. The store has lots of fun items to look through and I especially enjoyed the lavender tea. My mom sampled the lavender ice cream and thought it was delicious. Staff were all very friendly and I would definitely recommend you check out this great place.

We have been looking forward to a trip to the winery to listen to the Irish band scheduled this weekend. We greatly enjoyed the music & the virtual wine tasting - 12 wines for $12!!!!! We were unsure about “lavender infused wines” but really liked them and the wine slushees were great. The only reason I took stars away was because the young girl that was selling lavender would not sell me a plant as I left - I guess it was too close to closing. I had been looking forward to putting lavender in a basket at my house! 😊. However, we may return later.
*I hope to see this band (One Street Over) scheduled again at local wineries very soon!*

It looks like a family owned lavender farm. They have not only lavenders but also many types of animal such as pigs, rabbits, turkeys, sheep and goat, pony and horse. the admission was $3 per person, which is a reasonable price for people to relax in a private garden. Not much lavender...

Really enjoyed the lavender smell, many different varieties- had lots of animals but some of them were harder to pet behind gates. Kids loved the rabbits and checker board. The labyrinth was fun. It was too cold when we visit for the duck pond. Clean restrooms, great gift shop. Plan about 30-45 minutes. Good for young kids 2-5.

We visit the area 3-4 times a year and always try to make it to the Lavender Farm. Love the Shop and the Grandkids love petting the animals.

Lovely gift shop with large variety of lavender products, so shoppers should think about what birthdays or holidays are coming up and shop accordingly. Worth going to just to see the pretty purple buildings, get a whiff of the barrel of lavender, and buy some high quality gifts.

Even though I didn't find fields full of swaying lavender I thoroughly enjoyed a couple of hours wandering through the well tended garden and watching the animals and poultry. I'm happy to declare the $3 entrance fee reasonable value for money and it was very pleasant to sit on the porch rocking chairs and eat ice cream.
The store offers more lavender themed products and gifts than a grown man has need for.
Oh - the restrooms were spotless.

They have amazing items all made from lavender. I recommend purchasing a bottle of the room refresher. $ 35.

Visited the White Oak Lavender farm for the first time in July 2018. It was such an experience! The shop had everything lavendar. From sachets to ice cream. I purchased a few lavendar sticks to take home. I learned that lavendar is a natural healer.
The lavendar garden was beautiful & smelled wonderful. They had a beautiful field with swings and a gazebo so you could just sit and “breathe’.
They had wuite a lot of farm animals to enjoy too!
In the back section there was a winery & sitting area for anyone who wanted to enjoy a glass of wine.
It was a fun enjoyable experience.

A very peaceful visit with the smell of lavendar coming from various gift items that include an oil/balsamic tasting bar that you can purchase bottles to take home. Took home a balsalmic with lavendar, and it is wonderful. If you walk the property, you will need at least an hour for the visit, but they also have a wine tasting building with live music that could tack on additional time if you are interested in that tpe of entertainment or wine tasting!

We visited on a rainy April day. Unfortunately, we were told the lavender blooms May - July. We did go into the store they have where there is lavender everything. The even have food items with lavender including ice cream, jam, balsamic vinegar, olive oil etc. Definitely worth the trip. I hope to go back when the lavender is in bloom.

A group of about 20 ladies scheduled a trip to this place last week. Although the grounds were wet due to the excessive rain of late, the tour was very informative. We were encouraged to pick 20 strand of lavender. We were instructed how to do this. There are many farm animals including free range chickens. There are many children's activities as well. There is ice cream and wine. A lovely pavilion for picnics with chairs and tables.

Stopped here after a wine tasting at another winery. They have tons of Lavender products and wines. We did not try the wines, but bought Lavender gifts. Sales staff was very pleasant.

I am going say right up front that this is the first winery where the wines tasted exactly as I expected. Cab Franc tasted like a cab franc. Chambourcin had the smoky, coffee nose that I wanted from it. Petit verdot had the flavor. A little light on the kick. Then they had lavender infused wines that were unexpected but kind of tasty. Just not sure I could drink an entire bottle. Adorable place. Animals all around. Nice out door seating. I liked this place.

All things LAVENDAR, including wine, wow! enjoyed the aroma and all things, gift possibilities. Buy plants, lavendar of course, both of ours still thriving in PA.

I found myself in Harrisonburg and decided to explore the local lavender farm. What an unexpected delight! There were several varieties of lavender and a number of other beautiful flowers in bloom. Several animals were grazing in the pasture out back and a musician was entertaining those who were sampling the wine offered. Don't forget to visit The Lavender Shop. There you will find a delightful assortment of lavender products to savor and enjoy.

Amazing time at White Oak Lavender Farm and Purple Wolf Winery. We had the full experience including tour and Wine tasting. The farm is incredibly well run family business. It exceeded my high expectations. We enjoyed learning the processes involved in growing, extracting the essential oils, and drying the lavender. I have so much more respect for lavender and all of its potential uses now. We also enjoyed the wine tasting, and the thorough explanations behind each of the 12 wines tasted. Becca is wonderful!! We brought numerous wines home as well as numerous lavender products (all made on site). I can’t wait to share the experience with my daughter!

Very clean and from June through August the lavender bloom. One must try by all means their ICE CREAM, taste like homemade. We had lemon / lavender ice cream...you love it!

Saw the sign on our first day in Harrisonburg, finally went on our last day. It really is a gem. Family owned, very helpful in explaining all of their products. The grounds are beautiful, and there is a duck pond, labyrinth, pigs, goats, llamas, horses...
They offer wine tasting, which is very nice, and the seating area is great. We hadn't bought much in the whole week we were there, including a day in DC, but more than made up for it at the farm!

Interesting farm for lavendar and other atypical crops. Nice novelty shop with all types of lavender products and wines.

The day we chose to visit, It rained. The gift shop had loads of lavender products. I purchased lavender essence oil for a diffuser, lavender linen and room spray, lavender jam and a lavender rock candy sucker. The linen spray is awesome! I used it on my pillows at the Regal Vistas in Massanutten and it was luxurious. My grandson loved his sucker after the Harrisonburg Holiday Parade.

Disappointed 😒I just expected more based on the other reviews and the website. I expected fields of lavender and more animals. We maybe spent 20 minutes there. Not much to see. Not sure what all the hype was about. The gift shop was nice but if I wanted to see a gift shop, I'd go to a shopping center or mall.

My wife hasdrug me to a lot of vineyards. Over the years we decided which ones we like the best which ones we go back to for more wine. At White Oak we found a nice selection of wines, but the big differentiator is that some of them were lavender infused. Having lavender in my wine is not going to change my life, but it is interesting, and makes it worth the trip. It was very cold when we went, so we did not have the opportunity to walk the grounds, but it was very pretty.

I visited the lavender shop first. They have some really great products. Following a bit of shopping, I went to the wine tasting building. I was very pleasantly surprised with the delicious wines. $10 for 10 wine tastings. The patio with picnic tables surrounded by lovely gardens was the perfect place to sit and talk while sipping some wine and enjoying a package of Spanish cheeses available in
the wine shop.

Can't be beat for the price...wonderful way to spend an afternoon. The sensory experience goes beyond expectations. Visit more than once.

I can’t wait to return here, if for nothing else but to smell and pick lavender from their fields! The staff was great and explained each wine we tasted. The winter enclosure was completed and nicely done. It was better than some places that put a standup heater and plastic canopies up that aren’t as appealing and warm. Some of the wine barrels were painted in lavender floral designs. They also had a store where you could buy all types of lavender products, including recipes using culinary grade lavender buds, lavender infused ice cream etc. My husband was skeptical about trying any type of wine infused with lavender, but was pleasantly surprised. Please don’t go there thinking every bottle is a lavender infused wine, perhaps a little less than half of them are. So there’s likely a type of wine for all to enjoy. After visiting many other wineries in the area, my only criticism would be that their measured pours for their tastings were smaller than any other winery’s. I know there are different methods to measure the quantity - the bubble method, the jigger or different pour stoppers that have a fixed point to stop. The amount poured would have been just about 1 - 1.5 ounces. Even my husband noticed how the amount poured was a lesser amount, but still consistent with each pour at their establishment. Maybe they should just tell you what amount one should expect with their tastings. I’d recommend this to anyone interested in a less conventional type of wine.

For Lavender lovers, White Oaks Lavender Farm is must see visit in VA!
The gardens are filled with a variety of of lavender specimens! The Lavender shop is filled with edible lavender goodies, lavender scented products for bath and cosmetic purposes, sachets, and plants for sale as well! It is a delightfully scented stopover and a pleasant outing for travellers! Their soaps are a bathing delight! I will return on our next trip to Harrisonburg!

Years ago stopped here by myself and got some lotion. This time i got muscle jelly and on sore muscles not too much of over powering smell and not to flowery either. While there try the lavendar vanilla ice cream.

My kids and I love to go to White Oak Lavender Farm. They have so much fun running around the property, swinging in hammock swings, seeing the animals, smelling the lavender (and picking some if it is in season!), and eating ice cream. We often pack a picnic lunch, eat on the property after exploring some, then get some of their lavender ice cream (it's delicious!), and then explore a bit more. The people who own it were also incredibly helpful as one of my children was really afraid of the turkeys (who roam on the property). The staff directed the turkeys away and it wasn't a problem at all. I highly recommend it!

We could have stayed at your place all day. The prices were great. The wine was fantastic. We bought some wine to take home and will be traveling back to you next spring for more. Your one of a kind handmade items are going to be perfect Christmas gifts for family here in Georgia. Thank you for the amazing experience. Our home smells like lavender and I can't wait to make something with the lavender sugar. We have already used the spices with lavender on vegetables a couple of times and the flavor is amazing.

We have visited this lovely place before (spring at the time) and went this time, 2 years later, in the fall. Beautiful in any season! We love the variety of products available in the gift shop, and you can enjoy a glass of wine in a unique atmosphere while enjoying the beauty of the setting. We brought home special gifts for friends!

Lavender fields greet you as you drive into the farm. Plantings around the gift shop are beautiful in the spring, summer and fall. The homemade lavender ice cream is well worth the cost. A variety of lavender items are available.

I visited White Oak Lavender on a mild winter day with my wife and 2 other couples. This was not my first visit here, but we wanted to show the facility to our friends. We spent some time in the gift shop and visited the animals in the paddock. These were ponies and llamas. They also have a wine tasting room which I haven't tried yet, but would like to. We have purchased Lavender plants in the past and have enjoyed them very much. Thankfully, Lavender is something the deer seem to stay away from.

In addition to a shop filled with lovely lavender-themed gifts, a beautiful patio area and deck are used for wine tastings, as well as a little chalet if you need to be inside. You can also buy wine by the glass and sit outside where there is often live music. The views are relaxing, there are animals wandering the fields, and with the smell of lavender you feel like you're in Provence.

This is one of my favorite places to visit near Massanutten. It has a Nirvana-esque atmosphere. I love walking around the labyrinth and just sitting in the swinging chairs relaxing and breathing in the lavender-filled air. We also enjoyed tasting the lavender infused wine at the winery.

Beautiful area, very well kept, great at social distancing and safety precautions! Awesome wines and area, must see!

The venue is beautiful and they have a number of events throughout the year. The owners are friendly. The grounds are well kept.

Quietly located 20 minutes from Massanutten with beautiful scenery and animals running around in the back drop. We sat outside and listened to a great artist play and sing while sipping some of the most unique wine I’ve ever had. It’s very kid friendly with a kid play area by the tasting room. Wonderful experience.

Always a fun place to stop. The farm has grown over the years and now includes a winery too. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable and glad to help. A relaxing stop with gorgeous views of farmland and mountains.

This place is totally awesome! Nestled near the historic Cross Keys battleground, this gem is not to be missed. The owner is totally dedicated to her lavender products and its effects. She gave our group a tour of the grounds that consisted of the drying barn, the distillery, her pet livestock, the ladyrinth, bottle tree garden, & the pavilion. It also offers places (swings, pavilions, picnic tables, porch) to sit, sip, reflect, and de-stress. There’s a gift shop that sports everything imaginable made from lavender, including ice cream! There’s several wine tasting stations and live entertainment! Corn hole and other games are on the premises. Beautiful place with a lovely staff.

We had the best time! The property is beautiful. The tour was fun, interesting and informative. We did the wine tasting which was great too. The view and smell of the lavender was my favorite part.

I had wanted to try the lavender ice cream, they had several flavor including vanilla lavender and blueberry lavender. I got the blueberry lavender and it was good. Items in the gift shop are pricy. I bought the lavender mineral water and it tasted more like lemongrass and my husband said it had a medicinal taste to it. They do charge for the tour, it was a pleasant place to go and I will probably go again.

I cannot wait to go back to the Lavender Farm! What a great way to spend the afternoon just wandering around the farm. It is so serene and beautiful.

I visited with my partner and my mother who is in her 70s. We checked out the gift shop, then ate our picnic over wine. My partner and I enjoyed sharing a wine flight, and my Mom loved her glass of wine. Since we weren't sure what to expect of the farm, we were each delighted to take in its many relaxing areas. At the duck pond, my Mom wished for a swing, and sure enough in the next area on the farm, there were swings. I wish the farm were open into the fall, but the next time I'm in this area during the summer, I'll definitely come back to this gem.

It is so much fun to visit the lavender farm. The lavender beds are nice to walk through and the store smells so good while you shop.

Me and my husband was on Harrisonburg for business and heard about this place. Place is so relaxing with the sitting on the lavender farm. They have products made from lavender; the tea and jam and the lavender ice cream is a must have and the varieties of skin products made of lavender, we got the stress reliever roll on, I wish I got more. This place is good for kids too, there’s petting zoo and a labyrinth. There’s a wine testing. I suggest do the 12 kinds wine tasting and not the 4 wine in bigger cup. We buy all 12 on a bigger cup and we end up liking one ... the Riesling The remaining. 11 wines in big cup we just got a sip. There’s no food to dine, but we saw people bringing cheese, crackers which. Good idea if you will go for wine tasting. I do recommend to visit this place on spring or summer when the lavender blooms.

We stopped to see the lavender farm. They have wine tasting for a fee of lavender infused wines. All very good. They give behind the scene tours of the lavender barn and process.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. Nice crowd. Nicely stocked gift shop. Everything is pretty much lavender themed. Had a flight of wine while sitting outside enjoying the beautiful weather.

We visited in Winter which looks like a quiet time for the farm. There are animals and gardens that would be fun in warm weather. We were limited to the gift shop and wine room. The gift shop offers a dizzying array of lavender stuff with free tastings. The various teas and jams were predictably tasty. The basalmic vinegars were a revelation. The lavender infused was quite good. The cranberry orange is awesome. The wine tasting is worth a visit. The wine docent knew her stuff. The wine was not the sickly sweet stuff you might expect. The Traminette is particularly good. All are worth a taste. Last but not least, every staff member we dealt with was warm and welcoming.
And the blueberry lavender ice cream is worth the calories.

We found a brochure in our hotel lobby and the front desk recommended it to us so we went for it and it turned out awesome I will be coming back soon.

I enjoy using essential oils and natural products, so I was excited to make this recent visit to White Oak Lavender Farm. There is so much going on here! If you visit, be sure to arrive so that you can get experience the once daily tour to learn about the farm itself as well as the process of growing lavender. I was so impressed by the passion of the owner in providing good quality products, but also in providing a wonderful space to help people with the issues that come from anxiety. She has been a trailblazer in this “field”, literally. When you visit, do keep in mind that this is a working farm. Plants are ready when they’re ready, so you may or may not see beautiful, lush fields of lavender. With their winery and discovery area, there is no way to be disappointed. In fact, because we paid for the tour, we were allowed to hang around as long as we wanted, and even to run get lunch and bring it back as a picnic. This is a wonderful opportunity!

My spouse and I stopped here late on a Sunday afternoon in early October 2017. We were intrigued by the notion of a "lavender farm" -- but it is just that, with multiple kinds of lavender growing all around and the opportunity to tour the gardens and see the animals (rabbits, pigs, ducks, etc.). Most enthralling was the opportunity to pick our own lavender (with scissors supplied) in the garden behind. The gift shop has a wide variety of soaps and oils and other products all containing lavender, and it is a delight to the senses just to wander around within it. We loved this place and will likely be back.

Easy to find, easy to park. We did not walk through the lavender fields or their beautiful grounds; we simply stopped to shop. The shop is large and everything is displayed nicely and clearly priced. Also, there are testers or samplers to try out the products. We ended up only buying the lavender muscle jelly (very nice but $29!!) and two bars of soap.....but the oatmeal soap only had a thin layer of lavender on it.

What a fabulously well maintained little slice of heaven. Quiet, pretty and good smelling too. Pigs, sheep, minis, horses, Turkey, ..... too early in AM for wine!

If you love lavender you will love White Oak. The shop is loaded with wonderful self care products and gifts for everyone on the list. The winery is next door, but wasn't open when we left. But we will go back.

My wife and I had some time on a Saturday and gave this place a try. It was not as big as I expected but very nice. The people in the guest shop were very nice and helpful. We decided to take the audio tour and glad we did - if you don't do that I see where it would not be as interesting - you find out a lot more information about the place with the audio. I had visions of large fields of lavender but these are much smaller plots - they said it grows better that way in this climate. They had some musician there and a lot of people were there to hear him in the meeting room. Overall a very nice experience.

A wonderful place to visit. Excellent products, beautiful farm, and friendly people. The grounds are very peaceful and enjoyable.

This is a beautiful farm with a shop selling local lavender product and a winery that produces some excellent wine. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely hope to return.

This was a fun side trip. First I got to drive through the beautiful Shenandoah National Park to get there. I was excited to see the lavender blooming. They have a number of varieties in bloom. They have a store with all manner of products—food, aromatherapy, decorative. You can sample the various food (like lavender infused olive oil) and aromatherapy so you know what you want to buy. I also chose to do the “you pick” and have a fun bouquet to take with me. I also enjoyed a cup of lemon custard lavender ice cream. It was perfect!

Stopped by to pick up some wine. It's just beautiful setting. Would definitely go back next time we are in town.

We went here on a Wednesday morning with the kids. We thought that it would be something different as neither of us have been to a lavender farm.
The lavender part of the farm was out of season but the rest was operational. My kids loved the petting farm. They had rabbits, goats, mini horses, pigs, chicken, and a turkey.
We walked around their duck pond and labyrinth. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly.

Absolutely amazing evening of fire flies! The grounds were full of various lavender. Animals for the children to enjoy. Very relaxing! Beautiful site for family photos or a wedding.

Since it was raining the day we visited we were unable to see the lavender, however the store is a delightful place. Lots of scented soaps and other lovely lavender products for sale. We all tried lavender flavored ice cream, how cool, first time! There is a vineyard next to the store but we did not go, so can’t give a report.

If you love lavender you will love this place. Great tasting and the lavender complements the grapes beautifully. A cute shop filled with all things lavender is great for gifts!

Wife and kids and I love his place. Great time petting the animals, wife and I enjoyed tasting the wine, and we love walking around the farm! Beautiful place!

After a wonderful reunion with fellow military veterans at Massanutten Resort, I stopped by White Oak Lavender Farm & The Purple WOLF Vineyard on my way home. I am very glad I did. A collection of live lavender plants welcomed me as I entered the shop. The shop is definitely "all things lavender" and offers lavender jelly, teas, lavender-sprinkled ice cream and other lavender goodies. So many lavender beauty and practical products. The Purple WOLF Vineyard tasting room offers wine tasting options. So many choices to try and buy lavender infused wine. I am told there are tours in the summer. Nice place to visit.

This was a fun little day trip. My husband spent a little while in the gift shop before exploring the farmyard and lavender gardens which were very lovely. Entrance to the back cost $3 a head. Patches of lavender are here and there so don't expect any expansive fields of lavender. The highlight of our day was the cups of lavender/strawberry, lavender/lemon, lavender/vanilla ice-cream and the lemonade/lavendar slushies. So yummy. Spent about an hour here.

As soon as you open the door to the shop you smell a pleasant, sweet smell of lavender. Offering everything lavender. Oils. Spices. Chocolate bars. And so much more. Everyone was so nice and the farm was beautiful.

So beautiful and relaxed view of the farm. The ice cream is soo good, it actually have a twist taste of lavander. The soaps and essential oils are a must buy.

Had a wonderful time tasting surprisingly good lavender wine today. We were pleasantly surprised by the fact that the wine really didn't taste like lavender at all. The lavender just rounded out the taste of the wine. You are allowed to bring food for afterwards while you enjoy your glass or ....bottle of wine while you get to inhale beautiful spells of lavender from the farm. Such a beautiful day out relaxing and drinking fabulous wine.

We stopped into the farm while
visiting a friend in Harrisonburg. The shop has a nice collection of lavender inspired products. I purchased a very fine lavender infused balsamic. The ice creams are nice too. There is an indoor and outdoor bar at the winery.
Unfortunately the lavender was not blooming during our visit, but I'm sure it's stunning when it is in bloom.

We had seen this online before our visit. Didn't realize that you have to pay to walk anywhere - wasn't clear on the website. Thought the only fee required was to see the animals/petting area. We had driven down to see the lavender fields. We were unable to see them as I didn't want to pay for everyone in the group (husband and sons who weren't super excited) to walk through, we stopped at the gift shop since we drove all the way there. Overall was a disappointment.

A simply beautiful family farm that brought a whole new awareness to lavender. We sampled lavender coffee, tea, and lavender infused wine. The gift shop included hundreds of items made from or with lavender. We weren't able to see the lavender in bloom, but the scenery is breath taking . Well worth a visit.

I had never been to a lavender farm before. We purchased a Groupon to be able to cut 100 stems of lavender and enjoy the area. My husband fell in love with everything lavender. There were quite a few bees but they did not bother you when cutting. The bouquet made everything smell so good. You must try the lavender ice cream. So good we even stopped here just for that when we were coming home to Maryland after being along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina.

Took my teen granddaughters here to harvest their own lavender stems to bring home and weave our own lavender wands. They loved it and they loved the gift shop and the little farmyard animals. Beautiful views of the mountains, too.

This was a fun place to visit and walk around. From the store to the farm with all its animals, it has lots to offer and the best part is the WINE! It’s a must if visiting Harrisonburg

If you want to buy something with lavender in it or on it, this is the place for you. I came a little too early in the season to actual get fresh lavender, but the Lavender Shop had anything you might need that is lavender related. The lavender olive oil was very interested, but I opted to just get some soap and a beer bread mix. It is a fun place and the wine tasting building is just next door.

We spent an enjoyable afternoon at White Oak Lavender Farm playing chess, walking around the petting zoo and admiring the view. The ladies in the gift shop were sweet and informative.

It was very easy to get to from 33. Love the smell when you even get close to the door. The girls greeted me and explained the way around the store. I ended up buying some lavender blueberry jam after sampling it. You can sample everything in their store before buying, which appreciate! I also bought a few more lavender items, but my favorite so far was the blueberry lavender ice cream!!!

Visited this winery while we spent a day in Harrisonburg, and am very glad we stopped by... The winery is organized, friendly, beautifully landscaped and smells lovely! Curious about how lavender pairs with whites or reds? Want to try a sip? We ended up buying a bottle of Dragonfly! The gift shops is where you can find all the other lavender products you could imagine... lotions, soaps, spices, herbal remedies, teas & coffees, etc. They even have a giant bucket of lavender that you can bag up if you want to make stuff on your own. After you sip wine and meander the gift shop, make sure to walk through the gardens and say hello to the horse and alpacas... there is plenty to do here! And bring your camera... the bees are buzzing in the garden (makes for lovely pictures).

This farm was very quaint. They had everything lavender including wine. I did a wine tasting 12 different kinds for 12 dollars, outside seating very cute. We bought lavender wine and lavender pumpkin ice cream which were delicious. You can walk through the lavender farm for a fee and pick lavender stems. We are going back for sure, a must see if your in the area.

We hit this spot a little to early in the season for full bloom but still enjoyed. Lavender ice cream was fun and wine tasting worked out well.

We came here to visit specifically because it was something unique - Purple WOLF Farm combines a well-established lavender farm with a winery, and makes an excellent change of pace on a winery tour. The gift shop is not for the faint of nose, since lavender aromas permeate everything, but their selection of items is intriguing. The winery is small but growing, and they feature a number of interesting wines in their tasting room, including some infused with lavender. We both enjoyed this stop on our day's drive in the Valley.

Stopped for wine and learned that it's also a lavender farm with animals. It is beautifully landscaped. There are a couple of shops that include lavender items, wine and ice cream. Kids loved petting the horses.

We did a wine tasting in their small but charming wine tasting room. The full tasting was comprised of nine wines, which included several that were infused with lavender. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, and the wines were overall quite pleasant. After having a glass by the lavender field, we visited the lavender shop. They offered a wide array of products, from teas to beauty products to candles and more. Lots of samples and testers too, so that you can try them before purchasing. Very friendly staff.

First time i visit a farm - winery that combines lavender and wine. The products made if lavender are very nice. The story is beautifully decorated. It has as well as the wine bar a nice touch. Good taste. Excellent decoration. Unfortunately we were unable to taste the wines because the wine bar was closed at the time we visited. The gardens are lovely. They are following VA regulations to protect all of us from covid. Thank you for doing that

This nice place is a blend between a vineyard and a small farm with grapes, lavender and animals, like some horses. We tried lavender flavored ice cream and typical fruit flavors like strawberries and blueberries. My wife tried an apple based ice cream. I am not fond of sweet wines so I did not taste any wines. Clean, neat and inviting. You could have a party there too?

Nice relaxing place to visit and have a wine tasting. However, $10 while not expensive, was more than the tour was worth.

We always stop by to pick up Lavender - lemon scone mix, and check out new offerings. In addition to the shop, there is a garden area, wine purchase, venue space to rent. A lovely property, too.

They have expanded the outdoor bar, the shop is lovely - quick drive from JMU and it's a nice place to spend an hour or two.

Third visit here, but this time we visited the winery. We did all 12 samples, but did not like any - for our own personal taste. I like very sweet wines and understand that these were dry. Nothing was sweet enough for us. I love the gift store, but it is a bit pricey. The smells are amazing and their products are wonderful though. The farm is beautiful! I don't think that you should have to pay to tour of the farm though either. I understand that it is costly to run a farm, but I believe they are making plenty of money.

We visited in December so there wasn't anything in bloom but the farm is still fun and the shop smells amazing. They have lavender everything: tea, ice cream, jelly and jam, body products, everything. If you come in summer you can pick your own lavender. There is an attached winery that were able to see because it didn't open till noon. They do have high prices but it's all straight from thier estate. Go enjoy the aroma.

Wanted something near by to do that didn't take all day and that was relaxing yet interesting. What a little gem this lavender farm is. Very well maintained. Seemed slightly over priced, but worth every penny for how tastefully well kept the farm is. Loved the wine tasting room with the large pavilion to eat their yummy lavender ice cream overlooking the mountains. Loved all the little touches around the farm from playing connect 4 to sitting in a gazebo or by a pond or the variety of swings. Definitely a place to find relaxation and peace. Staff was friendly. Purchased some goodies and can restock online at their website. Will definitely be back to do their tour of the farm, which we didn't do this time, and to enjoy sitting on the large covered deck again with some blueberry lavender ice cream. Thanks for creating such a unique special place! Even the teens enjoyed exploring. Stayed at Massanutten Resort. About 20 minute drive. PS: Be mindful this is a business that is at the mercy of mother nature. Lavender took a hit with all the recent rain. I understand being in the lawn care industry. Even with mother natures punch this gem has so much to offer! Go check it out!

Prices were reasonable and it was easy to navigate. it was beautiful and the people were nice, the store had complimentary samples of lavender infused items like ice cream, tea, jelly and honey, the wine was great. just a note they don't ship to California, but you can check it and ship it home yourself.

Maybe White Oak Lavender Farm might have been ok if we had little kids, but for two adults towards towards the end of October, it was a waste of time and money. I asked when we paid the $3 if the lavender was still in bloom and I was told a sort of evasive yes. Very few plants were still in any sort of bloom.
It was interesting to go into the barn where the lavender was being dried. I did take some pictures of flowers. There were activities for children.
Mainly I thought the purpose of the place was to get tourists into their overpriced gift shop to spend money. $15 for a small size of lavender liquid hand soap? I don't think so.
Had I gone to the farm during the blooming season, perhaps my overall impression would be improved. Not recommended for October visits!

Been here on a couple of visits to Massenutten and enjoyed their products. Quaint little farm with tranquil setting. Now have a small winery there too with good wines. Grab a glass and relax outside on a nice day. Staff at both are very friendly.

Take the 8 dollar tour. The owner of the farm gives a great overview of growing lavender, harvesting, and the lovely grounds. Nice place to spend a few hours

Very nice winery and beautiful gardens the peoples here is very nice the grandkid love the animals and the lavender store was very nice take time to sat outside and enjoy the view and wine tasting

So it was super slow when I went and I was shocked. Only to find out tours stop early and they were expecting a wedding. Didn't get to see any of the plants really just the few rows up front.
I did however get to do the wine tasting which was different. Because a few of them had lavender in them. Overall super disappointed. I should have taken the lesser reviews more seriously.

This was a wonderful stop while on business in Harrisonburg. The place has some wonderful Lavender items including - Lavender BlueberryIce Cream yummo

Lavender, lavender, everywhere. There's a little bit of everything here. From alpacas to zinnias, White Oak was a nice stop on our trip to Harrisburg.

This combo wine and lavender farm is so unique and interesting - how could you go wrong? The owner is hands on, the wine is interesting and the lavender products are nice. Try it, you will like it!

Lovely location and grounds - loads of charm and purple-themed elements! All things lavender in the gift shop...didn't have time to sample the wines in the wine bar, but looked delightfully relaxing.

Just getting to this place and you can smell the lavendar. Nice little gift shop with all their. Their wine is super. You have to try them all.

The White Oak Lavender farm is an experience. They have essential oils, bath and body products, home décor, etc. We love stopping in whenever we are in that area. The staff are lovely and helpful, friendly and courteous.

If you love lavender you will love this place; in addition plenty of animals to entertain the children, a short drive off of I-81.

The lavender farm was laid out quit well, quit pretty, but very small. They did have a number of different types of lavender, as well as ducks, pigs, horses, chickens, and other animals. They had a nice showroom with different lavender gifts you could purchase. There is a small admission charge. I guess I was expecting a larger location.

The farm yard was beautiful and the animals adorable. We visited the gift shop which had s large selection of lavender gifts to choose from. We enjoyed our time there

The lavender farm has a LOT of wonderful, local items for sale, and a goofy animal sort of petting zoo- as well as a small cafe. It's a fun place to go for an hour, and not far out of town with a nice view of the valley.

This place is a pleasant creation, but it's not too exciting. I guess the owners are trying to woo tourists to come look around and then buy lavender oriented gifts and finaly go to their wine bar. Sort of fun for a family with small children.

When we visit the Massanutten Resort, we like to go to the Lavender Farm to stock up on lavender products, which are truly excellent for just about whatever ails you. This time, the wine area was open so we tasted some. I had the Pardon My Purple red and my boyfriend had the Dragonfly white. Both were exceptional and we ended up purchasing some of both. The area they have set up had inside and outside covered seating. We were able to sit out and enjoy our wine and the pleasant view of the farm. I don't think they serve any foods, at least we did not see anything about food. A cheese plate or something would have been nice, but it was still a great experience. The staff is super friendly!

The property is beautifully maintained. It includes all the lavender plants you would expect, plus a petting zoo and a wine tasting area for the Purple Wolf Winery. A great spot to stop, check k out, and purchase all things lavender.

Loved atmosphere. 1st. Time here. We were allowed to have our dog. Sat outside at the table. Did a $12 wine tasting which includes 12 different wines. Husband likes dry, I like sweet. For my taste they were dry except the Tumbling. It was good. The best for me was the Royale Velvet. Had to buy a bottle. The lavender shop I thought was too expensive. Would return.

The White Oak Lavender Farm is a wonderful place to visit if you are in the area. I was on an anniversary trip and we LOVE lavender! So this was a natural fit. We came off season but still had a WONDERFUL time. We did the $9 full wine tasting. The wines were just OK. We bought a bottle to take home. The grounds are beautiful! We walked the property, played some corn hole, and watched the animals play. We spent about 2-3 Hours total here and we would certainly do it again.
Be sure to get some of the amazing Lavender goodies from the gift shop too! WE left with a bunch of goodies.

Great place to stumble upon after a long day in the car. We explored the gardens around the farm and then enjoyed some live music and delicious drinks!

It was a cloudy day with spotty showers the day we visited White Oak Lavender Farm. Nevertheless we enjoyed our walk around the grounds. The fall colors were lovely, and while the lavender had faded the scent lingered. We especially enjoyed the three alpacas who were eating up a storm. My wife left with a number of lavender themed gifts for family and we enjoyed a glass of wine beneath a canopy outside the tasting room.

White Oak Lavender Farm is a unique but limited opportunity. Where else can you go and see multiple varieties of lavender growing in the fields? But the best part is yet to come for a small price per stem you can cut and take home your own lavender. The farm is family friendly with lots of kids focus activities like a rabbit petting zoo and play sets. Adults can visit the gift shop that has everything lavender and free parking is right on the property. The only downside is that the farm is not open year round it closes in mid July.

We went there to enjoy the lavender garden as well as try the lavender infused wines and ice cream. The drive was worth it. As soon as you stepped out of your car, you can smell the lavenders. The place is very clean and the staff were all nice and and ready to assist us. They have a a good amount of parking space. There is a small fee to enter and explore the farm. If you don’t want to do that, you can still enjoy the grounds because they have scattered lavender plants all over the place. This place is good for families with small children - they have some animals and free range chickens. They have enough open air seating for you to enjoy your wine. You can bring your own food. The lavender gift shop is a must to see. They sell lavender plants too.

This lavender farm is a treat in and of itself, with activities, tastings, cooking tips, mixes, etc. But adjoining it was a winery with wines infused with lavender. So good and unique! If you're in the area, don't miss this!

Beautiful winery, the store was really cool with lots of great treats! Wine was okay, but don’t go off my suggestion, I’m not really a wine drinker. The wine names were creative and fun!

This winery with their tasting room was quaint and charming. I have been all over Burgundy, Germany, South Africa and Champange twice so I consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur. The thought of adding lavender oil to wine I assumed would be tacky and off putting, but the varietals were delicious, from the Chardonnays to the dessert (think port). The sommelier was very attentive and knowledgeable and served us cheese and other goodies. I definitely plan to go back!!

Lovely farm, friendly staff, great products. We had a great time with Katie serving our wine tasting. We were made to feel at home and stayed a good part of the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the wine and atmosphere. Went back later in the week for the ice cream and some souveniers. Would definitely recommend a visit to the purple WOLF!

We stopped here on vacation - things in the shop were a little on the expensive side. We were there in August, so not much in bloom.

It was going to be 62 in VA so we decided to find a local winery to try out while visiting. I picked this one because 1 - I love Lavender and it's my favorite color. 2 - because it's different and we don't have anything like this in South Jersey. We did the full tasting (10 tastings) and 6 were infused with lavender. Some I liked, some I didn't but we loved the experience, the decor is cute and make sure to go to the gift shop. I think I liked that better. The smell was lovely too. Oh and the Lavender/Blueberry ice cream MMMMMM

I took a friend to the Lavender Farm for her birthday. We had a great time having out with the animals and exploring the grounds. Rows and rows of lavender were available for us to pick. It began raining during our visit, but it was quite refreshing. If you've got a rain coat, it won't be necessary to cancel your trip due to the rain. The Farm will stay open for you! In addition to PYO lavender there are several other lavender products available. We were surprised at how much we loved the lavender ice cream and mint water. I've also purchased their lavender lip gloss in the past. Although lavender blooms from May to July, you can visit the Farm any time of the year. Counting down the days to our next visit...

Nice little place, kids loved the area, watching animals, while my husband and I enjoyed a glass of wine. Would you recommend for anyone to visit for a an afternoon and would definitely visit again myself

Who knew that there was such a thing? Who knew how many things you could make out of lavendar? Who knew there would be a petting zoo, human size checker board, duck pond, swings, and lavendar ICE CREAM!!

There's a lot to explore and learn. Unique farm with a vineyard, wine tasting. Farm animals and beautiful gardens including many varieties of lavender. Our favorite thing was a labyrinth, ending with a bench for contemplation.

Great place to come for a date or a family outing. Beautiful setting that will leave you breathless. The gift shop, farm, and winery are all fun places to see and visit.

Although it was not the season for lavender to be in bloom it was an enjoyable visit. The shop was well stocked with so many different items.

High quality products. Fresh, strong, pure lavender. Finally made it to the farm itself. What an amazing place. So much beauty, even though it's right on the road. You smell the lavender as soon as you exit your vehicle. You can relax on the porch or in the gazebo. Walk around the grounds. Say hi to the horses. There's wine tasting, but I did not visit this. The store offers a nice variety of lavender products. Staff acknowledged us as soon as we entered and offered help. Very pleasant. Some things are expensive, others are reasonably priced. They allow you to sample their food products before purchasing. Vinegar, oil, coffee, sugar, salt. I absolutely LOVE the lavender balsamic vinegar. Their oils are high quality and that explains the higher cost. Work great for sleep, anxiety, headaches. I also really like the linen and room spray. Such a great scent. I missed the season for purchasing lavender plants. Will hopefully return. Would love to see all the plants in bloom and take one home.

I have been wanting to visit White's Lavender Farm and I really enjoyed the visit. I honestly didn't known there were so many types of Lavender or that you can add it to food or wine. We enjoyed visiting the shop where they have all types of Lavender products from essential oils and lotions, shampoos, candles, jam and jelly, olive oil, and even wine. We did a wine tasting and I really loved some of their unique wines. They would make great Christmas presents.
There is also a petting farm with horses, goats, chickens, etc. They also hold special events at the Lavender Farm during the year. I totally enjoyed my visit and will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.
I also wanted to add that there needs to be another category in Trip Advisor for family. I went with my daughter and son-in-law. There are two family categories: family with teenagers or family with young children. We didn't for in either category so I chose couple as the closest fit. You need to just have a family category.

I was escorting a bus tour group from Pennsylvania traveling through the area on a mystery tour. One of our attractions was the Lavender Farm. We were given a guided tour of their lovely grounds and learned a lot about the lavender. They also have a lovely gift shop. It was a beautiful afternoon and we all enjoyed our visit.

Pleasant location. Gift store, tasting room + patio, some animals to see. Dog friendly, but not in gift shop. Did not care for any of the wines. Might have been better as slushies.

This was a highlight of a 3 day trip to VA. Found by accident but so worth the trip. A beautifully laid out lavender farm with farm animals for the kids, and outdoor wine tasting bar (with an overhang so you don't burn), outdoor seating, and a lovely gift shop with the most delicious ice cream I've ever had (lavender apple). Their winery is called Purple Wolf and all of the wines are infused with lavender. A beautiful place to spend an afternoon.

In previous years we stopped for the lavender lotions, soaps etc. I was intrigued when we were in the area the fall to learn they had expanded to wine making. The staff did a great job explaining the benefits of lavender wine and I look forward to stopping in again.

We visited in the fall so the lavender was not actively being harvested but the on site store was full of lavender items. The grounds were very educational and you simply HAVE TO visit the drying shed. It is very worthwhile to simply stop and BREATHE. The winery was okay, but nothing special compared to some of the other wineries in the area.

Nice place to visit and have a good glass of wine. My wife loved the lavender shop nice clean restroooms. Chickens running around. Horses to pet. Go visit for the family

A really beautiful place, serene and quiet. I can only imagine how much more beautiful is to visit in spring/summer, when lavender is in full bloom

Absolutely worth the stop on our way fron Texas to Philly! The tour, the knowledge, the animals, the peace, the relaxation, the ice cream and the wine!! So much fun for families, couples and groups. Do not miss a visit!

What a wonderful little spot! The grounds are beautiful, the views are great. Enjoyed the grounds, the gift shop plus a couple of wine flights and found a couple to take home. Staff was friendly, grateful and very helpful.

An fun & interesting place to visit & to take visitors!! There is, of course, the lavender. However, there are also animals, shopping, & ice cream!! (The Lemon Lavender is the BEST!!)

Came with teenagers & had sooo much fun! The Lavender store is a must to get some wonderful relaxing lavender products! I stocked up on lots of gifts to take back home to friends & family.💗. The Lavender ice cream 🍨 is also a must! They have a wine tasting & a farm with miniature horses & Alpacas 🦙. My favorite was the Blueberry jam! 🤗🥰

We went there for wine tasting, thoroughly enjoyed the place. Very relaxing and friendly people. Sat outside and enjoyed the gardens and peaceful settings. Looks like they cater to weddings, which I think would be a great spot.

My parents came across this lavender farm a couple weekends ago, and my mom took me and my 3 kids to visit it today. It was really beautiful, smelled amazing and the kids had a blast seeing/petting the many animals and swinging in the chairs. The whole farm is so beautiful and peaceful (minus the squealing pigs...haha). We had a wonderful time and I'm excited to use the lavender mist I purchased for my sheets! Would highly recommend this location.

This was a beautiful place. We happened to be traveling in the area and stopped. Although the lavendar doesn't bloom until mid June, we still enjoyed visiting. We were able to sample lavendar ice cream, lavendar infused lotions, and lavendar infused foods and wine. The staff were all very nice and knowledgeable about all the products and wine. The farm also has an area for the children to play games and roam around while adults enjoy sampling the many different variations of lavendar wine. There are animals and a discovery area that is available for a nominal fee as well. I cannot wait to visit again when the farm is in full bloom. The farm also hosts different events such as the direfly festival at the end of June. If you are in the area, definitely worth it to stop.

This is a great place to stop and visit for an hour or two. We got some samples of their wine and just relaxed at an outdoor table while enjoying the weather and beautiful scenery around this farm/winery. Also,be sure to try some ice cream and check out the gift shop for lavender!

I don’t understand the high rating for this place. We are here end of season but there are hardly any lavender plants in general, backed up at the wine tasting even though it wasn’t crowded, and selling their empty wine bottles topped the unexciting experience off. The gift shop was nice and friendly staff, but doesn’t rate top stars from Trip advisors.

The lavender was a great aroma however the petting zoo animals spoiled the overall smell. Pay extra to go to go through the grounds. We didn't do that.

We did a wine tasting here, and then purchased a glass of wine and set outside in their patio area. Nice setting and nice music. We bought couple of bottles of their lavender infused wine, different and good. They also have a nice little store that sells lavender products.

Beautiful place and area. Love the smell of the lavender and sage. People very nice and we came in the winter and it was cold and windy but nice place to sit and drink a glass of wine and talk. I didn’t try the lavender ice cream but it looked amazing, it was just too cold for me. Highly recommend

This is a must see stop with beautiful landscaping, music, indoor and outdoor seating, animal area and gift shop. There is no fee to enter but $5.00 to enter the rear gardens. Lots for kids to do. Farm animals. Monarch tent. Big swings in the back for families. Enjoyed this !! Lavender plants for sale

If you are a fan of Lavender, definitely visit! The farm was beautiful, lots of purple and I liked the wine. It was a little sweet for my husband so you should be a lavender fan to drink it but definitely try it!

White Oak Lavender Farm was a beautiful farm. There were animals for the children to see, a wine tasting event and a gift shop with products made with lavender. The people working in the gift shop were very helpful. Very pleasant experience. Bought a wonderful candle and lip balm.

I enjoyed the white wine and the lovely smells. There isn't a lot to see, it's a fairly small venue.

I expected fields of lavender but the only lavender there was growing in clumps among other flowers in their gardens and walkways and most of it was dead! They were replanting the lavender but I was very disappointed.

We have been to the lavendar farm before but not to the winery. We came back for plants and wine tasting. Even though we had walked the grounds before we paid to go again this time. It is pleasant out there. I am facinated by the variety of chickens, and the alpacas, or are they llamas?

So peaceful here! Just walking around and enjoying looking at the animals is the Best! The wines were a bit sweet for my husband and I but we loved being there!

Very relaxing day. Spent several walking around a little then enjoying wine and cheese/crackers with friends.

We came after peak season, but still enjoyed ourselves.
The store has everything lavender and the wine even has some lavender in it.
It's great to see animals here, too.

Really unique and relaxing venue where you can sip various wines (not all of them lavender based/flavored) among a beautiful garden of lavender plants. You can even pick your own lavender. There is also a nice little store where you can buy lavender based products. The staff was super friendly and informative!

Lovely area and a pleasant stop. Gift shop and grounds were enjoyable. Definitely would like to return.

A place that I use to frequent with my family ( grand Children ).. And happily buy items from the store .Nice kept grounds....... But now you have to pay to enter to see the FEW animals that they have and for me, it has loosed the concept that it had of a family oriented place... I know that they probably are making more money , but now it seams to me, to be more created for tourist to come and spend their money, and less for children to spend some time with a few animals and for families to buy some lavender. A fee can be O.K. but small it is NOT like you are running a full ZOO in there.

False advertising. Only lavender flower beds and most of them dead. After paying $3. admission, It was advertised that you could pick 35 stems of lavender for $5. Not true. Only people in a tour could pick any lavender and then only one stem. We were told it was because of the weather that there was such a poor showing but they had a shed full of lavender stems that were dated as just being picked in June.
Definitely not worth your time or money.

A recommended visit for sure! Lavendar for everyone looking for gifts and special personal items. The winery is a little pricey $12 tastings and $20 plus small bottles, but nice for a special occasion. Next time a glass of wine outside with the animals will be the plan!

These Lavender fields are just beautiful. They give you a tour, great explanation about growing Lavender and you get to pick some to take home. They have some cute animals and a very nice gift shop. Everyone should visit!

The Lavender shop was amazing! We also visited the farm with my 2 year old. He loved the pigs. I loved how open it was and he was able to run and get some energy out😉.
We finished our visit with a wine tasting. I love sweet white wines... Thumbelina was wonderful!!

It was very lovely! The purple theme was beautiful and a nice place to hangout with family or friends. The workers were very nice and helpful.

Family members and I visited the Farm in December while searching for Christmas presents for friends and family. Great location and very friendly staff. Very nice assortment of items that could be used for gifts.

Pick a lovely summer day and walk the paths through the lavender gardens and inhale deeply. Best with a glass of wine from the winery. The kids will love the petting farm. The harpist set the mood as we basked in the sunshine.

I never miss a chance to stop here. The minute you walk in the door the smell of lavender will calm your nerves. The grounds are beautiful, there are ducks, human sized checkerboard, chickens, horses, fields of lavender and a labyrinth. Take your time and try the teas and ice cream. especially the lavender ice cream.

We stumbled upon this wonderful lavender farm on a visit to Harrisonburg. It was my husband, daughter and I. We went in the mid-afternoon time frame. I had a wine slushie, my husband had a beer, and my daughter had a lemonade slushie- all were infused with lavender and all were delicious! The grounds were incredibly clean and vibrant. We sat outdoors with our drinks and watched a musician sing. There were horses and alpacas also on the grounds. (I think goats too!) a cute little gift shop ended our trip where I was able to get some yummy smelling hand soap. Overall a wonderful experience and I definitely would go back!

My wife wanted to see the lavender fields so we went on an adventure trip in July. The lavender was in bloom and the air was fragrant. The farm had animals in pens but if you were careful, the horses would eat the grass from your hands. If the kids brought carrots or apples, I'm sure the horses would have liked those treats too. The farm has a store with lots of different lavender products. Since it was a hot day, we got lavender ice cream and it was surprisingly very good. They also have a lavender wine tasting room which we did not partake in.

We always visit the lavender store and then venture onto the tasting room for a glass of wine. The Dragonfly is a very pleasant light white with a hint of sweetness. I definitely recommend

Really nice gift shop - anything you can think of make with or from lavender and smells great! Also they have a really nice petting zoo for the kids during the warm months.

We have listened to many guides over the years. Most are just recitations of details. Here we were guided by a daughter of the farm’s creator and owner. For me she was the evangelical voice of a family who loved what they did and loved the product they developed. She made interesting the choice of lavender plants, the cultivation of the plants, the harvesting of the lavender blooms, and the preparation of the lavender for sale by drying. The distillation of fresh lavender into essential oil for perfume is very well displayed. We could see how much lavender was needed for a small amount of fragrant oil. We even cut some lavender for ourselves. This was not the full first bloom that ended about a month before but a second bloom with fewer open blooms. Nevertheless this was a very impressive tour. The joy and enthusiasm of the owner’s daughter made it special. Plan to take the tour!

The shop has an extensive offering of lavender scented and flavored items. The food items were fairly reasonably priced. The non-edible items seemed a little pricy. Nonetheless it was a nice experience to walk through the shop, realize a few new uses of lavender, and pick up a few items. FYI There is a $9 minimum to use a credit card.
The wine tasting experience was fantastic. Both servers were upbeat and on top of making sure everyone had the next wine when they were ready. The seating area is beautiful both indoors and outdoors and definitely warrants spending time sitting with friends enjoying wine while playing one of the many available games.
I cannot speak to the tour or the animal aspects of the farm.

Beautiful welcoming farm. The owner Ryan was very friendly and happy to explain details about the different types of lavender on the farm. Lavender products were great. Wine tasting and music, nice outdoor seating with fires. We were visiting on a friend trip. Will come back over the summer when they harvest the lavender.

Skipped the wine but definitely liked the ice cream ( with lavender pieces inside) and picking our own lavender. Also purchased several lavender soaps and lotions that are fantastic . Great for families!

If you love all things lavender, this is the place to go! It's a lovely setting, with places to sit and relax, play some games, and, of course, taste some wine! The grounds are clean, the people were friendly, and you even get to sample many of the lavender products! Glad we made the trip!

Enjoyed the visit. The view is great, not crowded, just right for me. They have a beer and wine tasting, I did the beer tasting and ended up buying a bottle of wine.

The winery and lavender farm is located in a beautiful setting, with farmland stretching for miles in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. The lavender gift shop was interesting. I’ve never seen so much lavender in one place! And the service and prices were reasonable. Unlike many wineries, this is a kid friendly environment. Definitely worth a visit.

This farm is so neat and well kept! The $3 to walk around is well worth it - it's a BEAUtiful place. And the lavender ice cream is so good!

Nice country-ish store with a lot of lavender products, but I found it pretty pricey. We were looking for some bulk lavender, and it was avaialble for $6 for about a one-cup scoop. Other oils and soaps also seemed kinda high. DId not visit the wine store or see the actual farm.

My wife and I walked in thru the front door and both of us said "Boy, does this place ever smell good!" Lavender bouquet was wonderful. We ended up buying body cream, face cream, foot cream, soap, and more, including a lavender neck pillow for cold or hot treatment. The staff was great. And, they have an animal petting farm. Check this place out.

I love the lavender farm.
My son and his wife brought me here to visit. It is so so lovely.
Very relaxing and soothed the soul. I see this as a place to hang out, meditate study read or just be. It just amazing. Great gift shop. They sell lavender -fun. Have tastings. They have comfy chairs and hammocks. There's a duck pond and petting farm for the kiddie winks. I can't wait to visit again and take The grandkids. This is a must go and take time for you and your soul place.
Cheers!!

Great variety of everything lavender.Whether you are looking for oils, creams, decorative items or food related.
Grounds are pretty and people are nice.
Didn't

This farm and vineyard has a delightful tour with gift shop showing the process of harvesting and making lavender products, as well as a pleasant wine tasting experience in their pavilion.

White Oak lavendar farm is so lovely. We did not take the tour but still enjoyed the immediate grounds. My husband and I took advantage of the wine tasting. I have forgotten the terminology used but we had a sampling of all of their wines (this included small 1 ounce amounts of eight wines. The wine bar was very nice and would accommodate a number of people if with a group.
I also enjoyed the lavendar shop and bought several items as fine gifts for others....also an item or two for myself.

fun for kids and adults. lots of lavender products i never imagined including ice cream. the outside has things for all to enjoy. animals, giant checker board to play, labyrinth and the winery next door.

This is an extremely charming establishment. The lavender bushes are abundant and the aroma is soothing. They sell all types of lavender products in a gift shop. They also infuse several of their wines with lavender. Dragonfly was our favorite. In warmer Months they offer a petting zoo and other activities as well making this a full family friendly environment

Stopped here during a scenic drive through Augusta and Rockingham. Friendly staff. Wife bought a few lavender-based items as gifts.

Nice place to stop and smell the Lavender. Nice little garden, wine bar and shop. The kids loved the animals. We like all the products made on site with lavender.

I love the peaceful, calming atmosphere and setting of this farm. It's so beautiful with most decor painted purple. The lush flowers and bushes and trees are thriving exceptionally. Butterflies everywhere as well as birds, petting animals, alpacas, goats, miniature ponys, horses, sheep, chickens and rabbits. Very well maintained, no smells other than the aromatic flowers! Plenty of stopping areas to sit and relax or play yard games. Beautiful gift shop full of everything lavender! Even wine tasting and slushies! You can even pick your own lavender (seasonal) or buy a plant to take home. My daughter and I love this place.

We were looking forward to seeing this winery. But due to their masking required we went elsewhere. Very disappointed.

We went here and this was such a cute place...a gift shop full of lavender items...coffee, oils, vinegar, sachets, lavender everything!! The grounds were beautiful and the winery was so quaint. We enjoyed sampling the wines and they were very good. The scenery at this farm and winery is absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend making a visit here!

The lavendar farm is a wonderful place to visit. We use it as a stop at point, one our travels between NY, and SC. We spend about 2hrs when we come though. The lavender ice cream is delicious. The lavender muscle rub is a must to pick up, as well as the aroptherapy roll ons.I always find some nice items to put back for gifts for family and friends. We enjoy walking aroud the farm, seeing the animals, and walking the layberenth. The swing area is a peaceful place to relax and soak it all in. The harvest house is neat to see how they process the lavendar. We have tried the wines, and they are near with the lavendar infusion. They have both indoor and outdoor seating there. Don't forget to grab a cup of lavendar tea on the way out. Love, love, love this place, no matter if it is bloom season or not.

If you like lavender and/or animals, this is a great place to visit! Although we visited a little too early to see the lavender blooms, it was a very pleasant and relaxing time. The lavender smell upon entering the shop may be a bit overwhelming to some at first, but for others it may smell a bit like heaven. As other travelers have noted, they offer quite a variety of lavender items (stress balls, cooking oils, chocolates, bath salts, microwaveable "heating pads", cookbooks, etc). They also have ice cream, which is a bit expensive, but also DELICIOUS! We especially enjoyed the pumpkin flavor (have only tried lemon & pumpkin - will need to try others), though neither of us could really taste lavender. The farm animals were entertaining and fun to watch. The farm also offers wine tasting.

I wanted lavender petals for a car pillow and decided to get myself a Valentine's present of Lavender oil and shampoo. Wonderful selection of all things lavender!

What a quaint place with a beautiful setting along with very high standard farming techniques. Not the best wine though, awesome little shop to buy lavender products

We stopped by on a dreary day. There is a small entry fee or you can pay more for an audio tour. There is really not much to see, but it was interesting to see some many kinds of Lavender. There were a few animals to see. There is a nice gift shop. They have a wine tasting venue, which we did not do.

This lavender farm is not terribly large but it is beautifully landscaped in its mountain setting. You can pick lavender or purchase in its store, which is small but well-stocked with all types of lavender products. There are other activities here such as a winery and tasting room and some farm animals, and at times a music venue.

The wine tasting was awesome and I loved the store. This was better than I expected. The lave dar was wonderful. I bought my favorite wine.

We saw the sign for this place as we drove from Massanutten to Harrisonburg at the start of our vacation. It sounded like just the kind of relaxing activity we were looking for, and we weren't wrong. Although the lavender wasn't blooming, we still got the good smells in the shop. Pay the $3 for admission to the grounds - it's worth it! There are barnyard animals to see, beautiful gardens, a duck pond, a huge checkerboard, and a meditation labyrinth.

What an interesting and beautiful place! We enjoyed trying lavender infused beer and wine. They had many wonderful items that would make nice gifts. The grounds are gorgeous and relaxing. Highly recommend this place.

We stopped on our road trip and enjoyed the sights, smells, and tastes. This is a great place for families or couples looking to get off the beaten path. This is a lavender farm with a store, wine tasting, animal petting area, and picnic seating.

My wife is always a good sport with my military museums,so when we stopped in Harrisonburg,I thought she would enjoy this place.Seriously though, this place was nice for a couple of hours, she liked the store, the grounds and views were really nice.Tjey had a musician on site and it was relaxing to chill enjoying the music and the views. Also had horses and farm animals.

Lavender wasn't blooming, so little to do there. A tour was $8, which is ridiculous for what it is. To see the animals was another $3, and if there had been lavender blooming, it would have been another charge to get a few stems.

Lavender Fields forever! The gardens, livestock, lavender, and ice cream was such a sweet family trip. We watched birds and just enjoyed the outside.

We visited White Oak Lavender Farm in March while on a weekend getaway. Can't wait to go back to get lavender plants for our yard. The Farm is really beautiful with with a tasting room for the Purple Wolf Vineyard wine. Plenty of seating. Offers some food and incredibly good ice cream flavors, infused with lavender of course! There are lots of animals for all to see. We will definitely be revisiting this gem!

U-pick lavender flowers! Pick the ones you want. For all, meaning families.. couples...singles! Free parking, only pay for what you pick! Snow cones $1.00 many booths to visit. Fun trip do it!!!!

The garden is nice and the surrounding are pleasant! However, $5 fees though nominal doesn't add much to the tour. Those who want to shop have a good variety. If that's the focus, one may like. Didn't do the wine tasting and hence cannot comment.

We went for a wine tasting and a look around the area. The farm is very pretty and the shop is filled with their own lavender-based products. Good variety of wine, reasonably priced with options, all about $1 per wine sampled. It seems to be a great place to go hang out for a couple of hours, especially if you have children who will probably enjoy petting the animals. We'll go back later in the year when the flowers are in bloom. I'm told it is quite beautiful. Just don't plan on using your AMEX card. I was told that It's not their "policy" to accept America Express.

I live near the Lavender Farm and have been there many times. Wine tasting is available. Try the lavender favored ice cream.. The gift shop carries lavender scented products such as bath oil and lotions. I love the lavender lip balm. In season, lavender plants are available for gardens.

Enjoyed the lavender jellies & jams in the gift shop. The ponies, calf & sheep were friendly. It was easy to find. The employees were friendly.

The Lavender Farm was one of my favorite stops on our road trip around VA. The property is breathtaking! There's farm animals, a store that sells lavender-infused products, and even a winery. I was skeptical about wines that had lavender in it, but I was pleasantly surprised. We got a bottle of the "Pardon my Purple" because it was so good. We went on a perfect fall day when the sun was going down and the breeze was cool, the smell of lavender was enchanting. Will return if ever in the area again.

Had a great day. Mm wife and I had a great time there. Friendly staff and all there wine was good. The best one was the red wine with lavender in it. Can't wait to return

Love the shop. There is also a wine tasting room and restaurant. They have nice grounds with animals and great photo ops.
If you like lavender then this place is a must!!

First time to a Lavender farm. Stopped for the Winery. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Didn't care for the Lavender Infused wines, but glad I tried them. Good Riesling, wines more on the dry side (more to my liking). Very pretty grounds and shop. Take time to walk around.

Lots of soaps and perfume options. Neat farm that can be toured for a small fee. They usually have a few local options to sample. Fun stop if your in the area. Everything spring my daughter loves to stop by this place.

Went here with 2 year old and husband. We enjoyed walking the gorgeous ground and looking at the animals. Only cost us $3 each (child was free). Really beautiful here. We loved the ice cream too!

Love this place, but…please post signs on your waterfall and barrel of lavender buds. I don’t want to buy any when teenagers, accompanied by parents, are playing in the fountain with rocks and throwing them and then stick their arms in the lavender and play with it. Please put a warning sign up!!! It really ruins the experience to see brat kids getting into everything and parents doing nothing!
Apart from the brat kids, this is a beautiful place and has expanded quite a bit since the last time we were here (2 years ago). Now there are horses and and a new wine tasting room.

Visited recently (my second time there) and enjoyed it thoroughly. The lavender fields are picturesque and the setting is so peaceful. The shop is lovely and has a great selection of items, most with a lavender theme. Staff is friendly and helpful.

There must be much better times to see this place than March but it is a lovely "all lavender" place anytime . I can only imagine how it looks during the lavender harvest season. There is a gift shop and wine tasting opportunity. Edibles with lavender, decorative lavender, toiletries with the soothing fragrance. We did not have enough time to fully sample all the pleasures of this place so hopefully one day we can come back.

Beautiful place, friendly staff, covid safe. Gorgeous farm and the gift shop has lovely products. Picked up some early Xmas gifts. Don’t drink but the menu and wines sounded tasty as well.

Needed a quick stop while on a long drive so ventured a few minutes off I-81 to this lovely farm. Large gift shop with lots and lots of lavender themed products (and lots of testers open to try them out). Entry to the gardens was a nominal fee ($3) but as it appeared to be too early for many of the lavender plants to be in bloom we skipped it today. May be worth a return visit.

Lavender farm and vino? Yes please! We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. The lavender store was busy while the wine-tasting area was a tad quieter. We loved how warm and friendly all the staff was. So many lavender products (if you are a lavender fan, which I totally am) and things to look at. They even had lavender tea, lavender coffee, and some lavender jams to sample. My absolute favorite was the homemade lavender ice cream (came in vanilla, blueberry, strawberry, and lemon).
The wine: they had wine tasting and wine flights. We tried their entire red line, 2 of the wines were lavender infused, but no one in the group was really impressed unfortunately.
This place didn't blow my mind, but I truly did enjoy my visit.
*Great for families - They've got a lot of land with a (paid) farm. They've also got corn hole, a huge size Connect4
*They have Heat lamps for anyone sitting outside enjoying vino.
*Outside food and drink allowed

Gardens were bare due to season but great variety of lavender items at good prices. Staff very friendly and would make items for purchase as requested.
If you are in to lavender, this is the place.

This place was recommended by a friend. Since we was in the area we decided to stop by. We had such a great time. We loved the animals, the ice cream was amazing. I even was able to participate in the wine tasting.

Every time we’re in the area we visit here. In the words of 4 year old family member “ it’s Calm here”. So true. Pretty and well maintained. Ideal picturesque location. Great gift shop. You can purchase ticket to see various farm animals. Little ones love that! Enjoy when lavender is in bloom ( not this visit just this week). Now they have some outdoor activities for children. Winery looks nice. Did tasting but not such a fan of their wines. Definitely worth a visit to enhance your appreciation of lavender.

My grands thought it would be fun to visit the White Oak Lavender Farm during a recent trip to Virginia. They were excited about two things which they read on the farm's website.
1.The "Discovery Area" is described as having a Petting Area. The girls were very, very disappointed to find the animals were NOT available for petting. In fact, they asked about the bunnies and were told there are no little bunnies, and the farm does not intend to get any. The did see llamas up in a far pasture, a couple of goats in a fenced area, two miniature horses, 3 pigs and two large rabbits.. none of which were available for petting! There were some ducks and hens loose but those were not petting animals.
2. They were intrigued to learn about lavender and taste the lavender ice cream.
The area you can enter and wander through for $3.00 a person is nice, it includes a
life-size checkerboard, duck pond, labyrinth, distillery, drying barn and gardens with swings.
The area is very pretty and peaceful, but don't bring the kids thinking it is a petting type farm. My grands were disappointed.
The ice cream was very good, that did not disappoint!
We did not try the wine so I cannot comment on that.
The gift shop is well laid out, the prices are not bad and the employees are very friendly. There are some very cute and unique items for sale in the shop.

This place is a nice visiting spot for outside beauty and unique gifts and tastings of tea, food items and more including wine. A lovely setting with shopping opportunities for visitors and locals when in the area!

Amazing beautiful place any season. The staff is wonderful! The drinks are so delicious. It's hard to choose between wine, cider, beer, or slushies!! One lap in the shop will leave you feeling so calm.
I must have missed something?
I really was not impressed? It was nice, but I'm not sure what the "attraction" to this is? They do have various types of lavender for sale, and to roam through the farm, there in an additional fee. Unless someone can give me reason, I doubt I will go there again.
Sorry. Just was not impressed.
