My wife went 3 times before I finally gave in - should have gone earlier.
Hot hot area.
A must see in how to change and upgrade a older neighborhood.

By nyc100 |

Such a jam, a visit to Miami is not complete without visiting the gallery and art scene in Wynwood. Great restaurants and cafes as well.

By JSATfromTX |

Okay, so I'm not generally a fan of urban street art, but if you're in Miami, you really shouldn't miss an opportunity to wander the streets of Wynwood. There is amazing artistry around every corner... unbelievable what people can do with spray paint. It's free (except for a few bucks of parking) and yes, it is a great place for selfies.

By Pennie727 |

Wynwood is an area with wonderful restaurants, shopping and art. The famous Wynwood walls are ever changing and interesting. It feels like you can walk forever and really enjoy the work of a wide variety of artists all over Wynwood. Plenty of places in the area to enjoy lunch when you are done.

By ElsieN |

Lots of great sights to see, close to shopping and lots of great places to eat. Never a dull moment with lots of different people and wonderfully colorful art work on buildings. Best to drive area the area first to see what you want to go back to.

By Noel |

Fantastic public place and a must see when in Miami. Hop on and off the free shuttle at anytime on the route.

By DiverM |

This is an area with lots of incredible murals. There are also a lot of homeless people and some rough looking areas. It seems like it would be a big area to walk and a little sketchy in places particularly at night. We drove around for 20 minutes or so and enjoyed it. Calle Ocho which is the little Havana area is nearby when and is interesting as well.

By 980000 |

We had a fantastic day in Wynwood! First we reserved a guide and cart to see the art. Sara our guide is also an artist, she was able to explain so much of the art, techniques and the nuances. What a gem! We had no idea what we were in for but it was a great treat. I would definitely recommend this art exhibit. Especially having a guide, there is so much to see. Also, the wall art can change regularly so you can see new images each time you go.

By DevinRex |

In all fairness, we went on a day that rained so we didn't get the full flavor of the area. However, it is an area that is a bit seedy that is being gentrified. We were there at lunchtime on a Tuesday so it was pretty desolate. We ate at a brew pub/NYC Village wanna be cool hipster place called Kush. I will review that separately. There is public parking available in open lots. I would recommend only for over 12. I would go again to see a bit more, but it is not worth a special trip.

By trevor477 |

The whole neighborhood is cool. There's artistic graffiti everywhere, me and my girlfriend even came across an artist painting a mural and we sat and watched him for about 30 mins. The whole neighborhood is a canvas and the bars and restaurants make it that much better. This art district is the one to go to.

By Andrea_Gl0betr0tter |

In the hearth of Miami, a fascinating neighborhood were art galleries and artist thrives.
This place is very famous for its "murales" wall paintings, and for good reasons! They are everywhere and many of them are simply amazing.
The place and its streets are also famous for the festivals and events that take place almost every week end.
There are many bars and some restaurants.
Wynwood is worth a visit when in Miami

By Laura S |

We drove into the Wynwood area and parked 30 yards away from the Bakan Restaurant in a paid public lot. We were in the restaurant no more than 40 mins. Our car was broken into and all our luggage taken!! Called Miami PD, who said it would take at least an hour to get a police car there but we were welcome to drive to station to file report. When we got to the station, others were there filling break in reports. Seems like it happens a LOT in that area. AVOID parking with any valuables in your car. Not a safe area!!

By Poppy |

We loved our visit here with the kids! Wynwood definitely has a vibe of it's own which is hard to describe! I highly recommend a stroll here, even if you are short of time. The art on display are spectacular and they also have some really cool food and drink stores around. We stayed on South Beach so we found that the food in Wynwood was just 100x better and totally worth travelling for.

By Katherine L |

Junior & Hatter for hairstyling (loved Mandarine Moon), Walt Grace Vintage Cars and Guitars for a unique shopping experience and a refreshing snack, and Wynwood walls for a feast for the eyes.

By Chicagonative_7 |

Change takes time but there is still a lot to do here.... too many empty lots and stores so that walking at night is a bit worrisome here. Many streets, 2nd in particular, are very crowded and busy. Others have one or two businesses...

The art abounds but the trash detracts from it. I can only hope things can improve rapidly so it becomes an even more desirable, safe destination.

Pandemic wise; no one gives a hoot, almost all are maskless even in businesses with posted signs.... illiteracy or stupidity? Lucky for me I was there on two extremely windy days, only got curbside food and left after our Compassionate Visit was over.

By cupidct |

I have been three times and the last trip was my best brought my kids and they really enjoyed it. Intresting art for all ages.

By Luccia_P_R |

Wonderful area to view artistic expressions from many talented artists. Plan to walk for an hour or even two. Afterwards there are several wonderful restaurants for lunch.

By sandeep |

This place is really cool where you can explore graffiti and street art . Really good place to take some really good pictures and add it to your memory collection .

By MarleneMoleon |

Colorful street murals by artists from around the globe, art galleries, gourmet cafes, entertainment and music. Good for families, and couples.
Wynwood is absolutely beautiful!

By The Wynwood Marketplace |

Wynwood always has an incredible display of life, shopping, music, food, art, and culture! It caters to all ages, races, and backgrounds.

By whisper123 |

There is a small lot at North end of Wall district that has a minimum charge of $20 but no sign. There is a high
rise multi-story building where it costs $3.00. Bw aware.

By PTAMom2010 |

We drove by in the evening and Google maps took us on some side streets and it did not feel safe. We went by the next day, and again google maps led us astray. Driving around the neighborhood was amazing with the murals, but it was a neglected area prior to becoming an amazing are space.

By LWRFL |

This is definitely worth your time to walk around and appreciate the art and culture everywhere! If it's too hot, you can see some of it from your car - but it's much better on foot.

By Sporter |

Excellent art themed destination in Miami. It is only $12 to enter the art exhibit- Wynwood walls. We highly recommend this experience- takes about an hour to see. There’s also graffiti areas in the area we saw on a tour that were amazing.

By Amariris1007 |

This place has it all: bakery, restaurants, ice cream, coffee, boutiques of everything for every taste, tacos and art, art art! If you are near make a stop here. You will come back.

By gandhy2014 |

In my second trip to Miami, my family and I hang thru this part of the city. As an Art lover I enjoyed it because it is not only an artistic shelter but also it has some bohemian vibe. We were short of time after our visits to Miami Beach, so we saw it mostly from the car and it wasn’t a problem appreciate the big walls with different designs, paintings and draws, and different styles also, by night!

By Саша К |

Adore this place. Was visiting Art Basel there and was very impressed. Love restaurants there , galleries and atmosphere.

By IngridLummy |

The neighborhood is all colorful, which leaves an astral very cool. There are several buildings, even residential with art or just colors.
The restaurants and shops are also colorful and/or with some art.
It is a walk to get lost, and already worth it, even without entering galleries or paid spaces to appreciate, especially on a day with mild temperature and no rain.

By Lucy S |

If you like art or taking photos this is definitely the place to come ! The whole area of Wynwood is full of amazing street art and interesting shops and cafes. Lots of bright colours and things to look at. There's a market on some days very close to Wynwood Walls too so try and time your visit to coincide with that! If you're an instagrammer or photographer you will LOVE this place! :-)

By Elex |

I love how artistic is the area, great to take pictures and have a walk , nice restaurants around and very safe

By Miami L |

Thugs everywhere! Piss and weed smoke and filthy dirty curbs and walkways. Overpriced food. Don’t believe me? Come visit! Enjoy.

By Briss Chavez |

amazing walls, and everything is amazing! once you go in all you see is great paint and walls here! very interestring

By juliegI6249SD |

The area known as Wynwood is a large area. I thought that it was just Wynwood Walls until I walked around. There is so much more to the area. There are restaurants galore with different styles and kinds of food. The area is full of art work on buildings and on the sidewalks. It is an incredible place to see. It's a must see for creative persons and art lovers. Music fills the area in the different restaurants or in the open areas.

By 123Amilcar |

Our tip for future travelers is to bring the camera, as there is a lot to see when walking the streets. We walked up and down after visiting the Graffiti and Walls museums, for finally have lunch in a nice restaurant.

By Eumir M |

taking a walk around this place is a must if you appreciate art and culture. it has a very young vibe to the ambient.

By Maria B |

If you are visiting Miami, this is a must. It is a great way to get in touch with some art and start or end your day in a different way.

By Pioneer665073 |

Wynwood is a very interesting place to visit....there are many streets you walk and look at beautiful murals that were painted. There are many art galleries of all types to visit. Also, there are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. The atmosphere at Wynwood is fun and exciting. Tourist must visit Wynwood if they are in Miami. I never get tired of going, have been there several times.

By Rschagrin |

Packed with restaurants, art galleries, and stores. Great area including the Wynwood walls, an amazing professional graffiti on a large number of walls all in one section. These artists are extremely talented.

Located in Wynwood which is a very in and happening area.

By John S |

We were here in Florida three years ago and toured the area. The graffiti in that area is phenomenal. World class. However many of the older murals on the walls are painted over with new paintings which was both exciting and sad. The quality of the works is amazing. Much of it should belong in a museum. Well worth your time to visit and view all the works of art in the neighborhood.

What is surprising is that many new buildings are being built in the area and taking away some of the old charm.

Parking is an issue and it has become an expense which three years ago, you could park anywhere for free.

I would still recommend going. It’s worth your time.

By TheBlondeGrape |

Up and coming area. Bringing back the arts by starting with the community and it is a great way to get the Miami vibe.

By Kristian M |

This is just impressive street art neighborhood. Walking around the Streets really blows you away. And There is such a great atmosphere with coffee shops, food, working artists and everything without it getting too polished. Remarkable. I want to be an artist too, and live in thema neighborhood.

By beth ann k |

The artwork is very cool, and it's just a neat area in which to walk around and see the various walls.

By uzmelissa |

Excellent spot with its art themed large streets and food heaven in Miami. Contemporary art as it's finest, best creativity murals as you can enjoy.

By donnapdr |

If you love art and good restaurants this is the area of Miami to go. Fun and inspiring.walk around and take it in.

By smm405 |

Visiting my son in Miami, he took my wife and I to Wynwood Wall and art district. The art work on the buildings is really something to see. We stopped and had a beer at a little pub and then lunch at the Taco Stand.

By Karin@ |

Such a creative place, walking in this district you can feel like an artist! Simple buildings, but painted with such amazing drawings, graffiti, full of wonderful ideas and themes...Keep ready your camera to do numerous photoshots and pictures! Nice place, good vibes and the place to be when you are in Miami.

By antoinedj |

This is the new spot to be cool in Miami. I love the neighborhood. Reminds me much of small hubs in New York. The restaurants here can't be beat with the new chefs up and coming. You will have a great time.

By Martin Solano |

Wynwood is a street artist heaven. Murals fill every space available. Bars and restaurants are plenty, all are good and cover every taste bud. A must if traveling into miami or if you're a local.

By P.D.Scholten |

3 small blocks of artistic scenery.
Was it worth to go there? I don't know.. It's quite a drive from South Beach.

By Mariano |

This small town dedicated to art and artists is a must see. Art everywhere. Surrounded by great shops and food. When the sun goes down this place has some great lounges, outdoor clubs and bars to go to. Food Trucks were Great!!

By Ladylawsmolar |

Fun day spent in Wynwood viewing the murals. I am sorry that we walked independently and did not take the walking tour which probably would have given us a better perspective of the art on the walls. We did not eat in Wnywood but have heard there are really good restaurants there. Next time, we will stay longer.

By Tofurry |

Everywhere you turn, there are cool, beautiful, imaginative murals and grafitti. Buildings completely covered in them, free standing pieces, just so much to see! Bars, coffee shops and and restaurants all over as well. A must visit for art lovers!

By Gregory S |

If you want to visit Miami and go out with friends, but not go clubbing, Wynwood is a great spot. Great choice of different bars and restaurants, the amazing Wynwood Walls. It's safe, there are tons of people filling the streets and plenty to do. COYO TACO is the spot when you need to counteract that drunken stumper. So good!

By AndreaUbok |

Love the murals, they change each time we go. Wonderful shops, delicious restaurants & drink specials. A lot to look at, the colorful people & art. It becomes a block party after dark. SuViche and Wynwood Kitchen have been our favorite restaurants but I don't think you could go wrong here.

By Travelandexplore |

Miami’s creative and cultural hub!  Once a collection of warehouses, that has now been transformed in recent years into one of the world’s hippest hangouts.  Full of eclectic restaurants, bars and shops, Wynwood also offers visitors countless opportunities to enjoy the best of international contemporary art, whether in galleries or simply on the street, where colourful murals make it a go-to place for Instagrammers.  Hip and funky!  No trip to Wynwood is complete, without a visit to Wynwood Walls.

By Marco G |

Just go! Fantastic art covers everybuilding. Walk everywhere-there is something and more for everone! Some of the best restaurants in town reside here. Sunday is especially fun with the live music and food trucks.

By Feuza T |

I have been living in South Florida for 2 years and had not hit up Wynwood yet til last week! It was a bit hot but loved going and checking out the walls and market place. There are so many options for food and things to do. And of course, bring your camera.

By parksr2016 |

Wynwood is a neighborhood on the rise thanks to a heavy infusion of art, especially street art. See large scale murals, street art, and indulge in great local restaurants. Highly recommended.

By David |

A must for any visitor. The walls and area surrounding are always changing with amazing artwork and you can get a good drink or bite at some of the many local eateries.

By Greek_arican_jo |

Although I have been to Miami plenty of times I had never been to Wynwood. My Cousin who now lives in Miami took me for a drive around and there is nothing like wandering the streets of a city with a local. She took me to see the Wynwood walls which is a must see. I have some great photos taken there. It's overall a very artsy urban scene. After walking around a bit we stopped at one of the many bars(forgot name) and enjoyed good music, good drinks, and a good atmosphere. I would definitely go back.

By MagdaM |

go around the whole area, it´s amazing! Super artistic district
Also plenty of bars and restaurants to go.

By Bmoe |

Our last day in Miami really enjoyed an hour tour on a golf buggy with Ruben seeing Wynwood Street Art. We saw so much more than we would have done on our own. Ruben was great at explaining about the artists and methods they use. Wynwood is only 15 minutes from Miami Airport so ideal for a last day or stopovers. We ended the tour at Wynwood Walls a collection of more art with a delicious restaurant Wynwood Kitchen and Bar for lunch.

By Anza_989 |

great place to visit full of amazing art and great places to eat and drink. I would 100% recommend visiting the area if you are in Miami!!

By F1Rocks |

You could pay to go into the Wynwood Walls exhibition. But there is basically graffiti art all over the district if you just venture down the side alleys.

By Wombling_Free_7548 |

We really enjoyed strolling around the area and admiring the street art. No need to pay to go to Wynwood Walls, just loop round the streets near there to see the free art.

By lotharjuern |

This is a place near downtown to enjoy an aspect of the culture of Miami. Lots of young crowd also with stands you can purchase other giveaways for friends.

By Rschagrin |

Great rt district with amazing painting on buildings. Some great restaurants, boutiques and art galleries. Worth just driving thru.

Must see plus the Wynwood Walls.

By Wombling_Free_7548 |

Suggest heading straight to Wynwood Walls, which is an outdoor art exhibit. From there you can wander the surrounding streets as there is lots of art to be seen outside the Wynwood Walls gallery.

The street which Wynwood Walls sits on felt very safe but if you walk away from there be mindful of your surroundings .

By Carrie W |

Cool urban art experience. Lots of fun selfie spots. Interactive qr codes. Family friendly and can easily fit large groups

By Darlyne B |

A local recommended this neighborhood. If you’re looking for artists, musicians, cool shops, and galleries - this is your destination. If funky and cool and unorganized isn’t for you - go to Miami’s Design District. Love Shinola!

By Kevin |

....Everywhere you walk in Wynwood reveals new and ever-changing landscape of modern street art. Apart from Berlin, there is nowhere else on the planet with such an extensive variety of grafiti and murals. A must see for street art aficionados...

By AMsays |

This artsy neighbourhood is known for its bold evocative art on building facades, walls and the like. Sometimes the messages on these hand painted murals are a little obtuse and even dark, but the skill and talent is undeniable. The art is found on several city blocks and is considered the highest concentration of street art anywhere in the world. Within this area is an outdoor museum Wynwood Walls that has many contemporary artists exhibited. There is also a Wynwood Walk that takes people on walking tours and explains what they are seeing. Nowadays, this area has become very trendy with many fashionable shops, galleries and eateries locating here.

By Legs26 |

Heard that Wynwood was worth checking out so went there for an afternoon, whilst in Miami on honeymoon. Liked it for its interesting choice of shops and places to eat - not mainstream, much for independents and amazing wall art. A nice contrast to the glitz of downtown or south beach. Worth a trip! Ps - noticed, we couldn’t get an uber back from here but fortunately a regular taxi passed us by and kindly took us back to SB.

By CorneCapeTown |

My husband and I only had a morning to explore Wynwood, but on our next trip in December when we bring the kids along we plan to set aside an entire day. I am already budgeting, as there are so many clothing stores we and our teenagers would want to purchase clothes and shoes from, there is a stunning interior store that I want to purchase a few pieces from and there are some beautiful art stores as well. A must see if you are in Miami

By Tanya J |

My husband and I did a day trip to Wynwood. We found parking pretty easily, and then walked around and checked out the graffiti on the sidewalk and walls that is all over the city. We stopped in a couple of very cute boutiques and had some delicious Asian fusion lunch at KYU. There were a ton of restaurants and shops and a lot to see and do for a nice daytrip out of Miami. It's a really unique and hip area, worth a visit!

By David A |

I've lived in Miami 40 years, and people always ask me for recommendations when they visit. Wynwood is unlike any other place. Yes -- it's gentrifying, and hard core artists are decamping to Little Haiti, but it is still a neighborhood to visit and enjoy. Start at the Walls, and go to Panther Coffee and Zak the Baker. Also visit the craft breweries. You'll be very glad you saw this wonderful neighborhood.

By H2AT |

Wynwood has been transfering into an open air museum; street art around everywhere, not always equally beautiful, but many highlights around. Don't forget to visit Wynwood Walls.

By Dawn C |

Eclectic area with focus on graffiti- therefore outdoor free spaces to explore. I would recommend true exploration during daytime hours as the area encompasses a ghetto with many closed down stores and dark alleys. My small group of 3 adults felt safe the entire time but we were aware of where we were when it became dark. The area had a variety of food options and the. Wynwood Walls “museum” was worth the visit. A hidden gem of Miami. We stayed in an air bnb and had access to everything we needed without transportation. We stayed as an add on before a cruise - the Miami airport and cruise port are both nearby.

By Draman |

Loved my visit to Wynwood to see all the street art.Amazing how art can completely transform a neighborhood.

By Davina B |

Great things to do around the Wynwood area! Food and photo opportunities are everywhere! We loved it. We went on a beautiful Saturday and was able to take in the sights and have brunch

By Leigh M |

Did this as part of Miami to the max tour, well worth a look, I even surprised myself by liking what I saw. It's an interesting part of Miami that comes to life with Murals etc on walls that breath life back into this area, very talented artists indeed....

By Andrii |

It’s great to see the art like that. Very interesting and entertaining. The street culture atmosphere is really feels so much. I really recons it for everyone, especially for family.

By Mrkicks |

This was my first time visiting Wynwood with my GF and brother. Overall great time. We had plenty of place to pick from to eat and drink. We spent a several hours enjoying everything and all the art. Definitely need to experience this sort of thing if you are into it. Bring walking shoes.

By Lee Lowerre |

Enjoyed the experience So much talent! A must see, don't be startled by the appearance it is earth shattering with color.

By Gail K |

Wynwood is an amazing place to walk around and enjoy food and drinks. Local artists have used the bare walls of buildings to showcase beautiful works of art. Not in the best area of Miami but usually full of locals out having a great time.

By MrChrisAguilar |

Wynwood is known for some of the best art destinations, restaurants, bars, lounges, and pop up sites Miami has to offer...MAKE SURE you make it to brunch there followed by drinks at Wood Tavern.

By Darren |

Wynwood art district was incredible, one of the best places we visited in Miami!

culture, arts, good food, good shops! highly recommend a visit

By Damon W |

The graffiti alone in this neighborhood merits a visit -- made for Instagram backdrops or simply an alternative to an indoor art museum. The eclectic shops, ragged buildings next to gorgeous galleries, and diverse community made this neighborhood a highlight of our visit.

By RanjanDutta |

If you appreciate art, do visit here. The paintings on these walls are amazing. It's worth taking a stroll around the neighborhood as well, you may find some interesting art.

By LocalRam |

Very cool area just north of downtown Miami. Cool art, boutiques and restaurants. Fun area to walk for a few hours.

By Poncho de Anda |

Back in 2010 when Wynwood started flourishing as an art district it was the place to go. It had a certain magic that made it special. Now in 2018 the story is very different, corporate banks and developers have taken control of this once bohemian miami style neighbor where artists use to hang out and take control of its walls to express their creativity. Wynwood is not anymore that place that has "soul"...

By GGGang |

We caught the free trolley bus from outside our hotel (Marriott Biscayne) and got off where the bus driver advised. You can’t fail to be impressed by the huge art works on the side of buildings. They’re on every street corner so much talent. There was also the main visitor area with their warehouses of art and sculptures. We spent a couple of hours walking around, stopped for a coffee then caught the trolley back. They also offer a tour (not sure if there’s a charge for that or not, as we didn’t take it) but the rest of the neighbourhood is free to wander around including inside the art warehouses.
It’s a definite must see for me, some of the paintings were just amazing.

By Nabil S |

cool place to visit, stroll along the street, enjoy murals and other art or a pizza or a specialty drink

By deecg355 |

We strolled through the streets of Wynwood and discovered the beautiful murals and ethnic food trucks. A visit to Wynwood was suggested by our concierge and it's not to be missed!

By ChrisBiz1 |

Visited this place twice during my last August visit to Miami. There's a lot going on during the day and even more at night. Parking is reasonable if you stay for a long time (either $5/day or $10/day depending on supply/demand). Street art at a very high level with museums extending the experience. Lots of choices for snaking or dining. Great potential for this neighbourhood to become even greater. A must visit if you like contemporary street art...

By len p |

I didn't expect what I saw, in so many areas you only see graffiti on walls, in Wynwood you see unbelievaable art covering building after building block after block

By Euge P |

We walked by with my two kids and it was a really nice experience for them, who never saw painted walls so well maintained and diverse

By NewOrleansfirstgal |

We enjoyed the art. It was very interesting and unique. Each wall was different and I understand they change artist often. Some of it was very impressive. It is crowded but not so much that you can't get a good view of each wall.

By Leslie |

My husband and I spent about four hours exploring. The artwork was original, artistic and refined. It was so much more than we anticipated.

By Aram1121 |

For those looking for something casual to do, this is a nice place to visit. The Wynwood Walls is an indoor and outdoor exhibit of artwork for all to enjoy. Plenty of beautiful things to see with many photo ops. Lastly, this is one of those rare things which are free.

By Hernandez1697 |

This is a must in Miami. Once a problematic neighborhood, now is a tourist attraction. And that was possible by his own people and I admire that. The art, something very, but very different. This is not graffiti, this is real art. And it's all around the place! Also it have places to eat, to have a cold beer or just sit to rest. A lot of people was there. So, it's starting to get known. Highly recommended!

By TheRealAwaxy |

Enjoyed the vibrant colors of the huge murals despite the rain that fell the whole time that we were there. Lots to see and stimulate the senses!

By kroberts0525 |

Walls were beautiful as is the artwork on the surrounding buildings. The immediate area was busy and safe with lots of interesting things to look at around each corner.

By Andy Knapick |

What an amazing area of street art! We had the best time seeing the art on a Pedal Pub tour! Wynwood is a must-see for anyone visiting the Miami area.

By E.L.E |

We stopped here looking for a bar and had some fun. The art walls along the way are really unique!!!

By FoodBeforeLove |

What I love about Wynwood is that there's always something to see or do in the area. The streets are busting with murals, statement art pieces or sayings and you can always find a good hole in the wall food spot or market going on.

It's perfect for a leisurely day in Miami.

By FellowTraveler623209 |

Wynwood - Miami, It's an amazing neighborhood. Art bubbles in every corner, beautiful people, excellent food. Today it is one of the best neighborhoods to live with your family.

By Arielle |

Great place to walk around if your low on cash and still want to do something fun, tons of shops, bars and restaurants around.

By David C |

If art excites you, walk the streets of Wynwood. This industrial neighborhood has blossomed into possibly the largest collection of street art in the world. And craft beer bars and restaurants to serve those who come to see the art (at least a handful of craft breweries are just blocks apart-- NE 24th St has at least 3).

By Gu1otta |

My wife & I have come here two years in a row now & to be honest, we have never seen everything. The neighborhood is huge & no matter how far we walk, there is always more. We brought our kids this year & they loved it. Would definitely recommend

By Looksmelltaste |

Wynwood made famous by their murals and walls is now the home to world class bars and restaurants. Walk into Alter to see what the buzz is about in this gorgeous restaurant. Stop into the legendary, Gramps Bar, for well made cocktails and live music. A couple steps more and there are donut shops, boutique shopping and more in an urban yet artsy setting.

By Fg |

Yes, it has murals. The wall is ho hum. You see more on the street for free. Boutiques and trendy restaurants. I say go, enjoy, skip the wall and save your money.

By klane434@yahoo |

Fun area to explore. Great restaurants, art, shopping, clubs. Fun watching all the people enjoying the experience.

By David A |

Moderate number of wall paintings. Many art shops. Accessible by excellent Miami public transportation system. Enjoyed visit very much.

By Miguel B |

A visit to Miami is not complete without a visit to Wynwood Walls. Amazing murals in an up and coming neighborhood. Joey's Italian restaurant and a visit to Parker Warnby (eye glasses) are good add is

By Shayne O |

There is a museum in this area specifically for the murals, but you don't need to go inside the museum itself (though it's free) to experience the murals. They are all over the area. Just take a walk down all of the streets and you will see tons of street art

By Josh |

Very colorful and artist area, a beautiful place for people to express themselves while being able to drink with friends and enjoy art.

By renel407 |

Went to Winwood for dinner. The atmosphere of the entire area is casual, relax and sophisticated. Nice bars and restaurants mixed with street art.

By Robert F |

I’m a local and native of Miami. I love how this area has turned around and has a bohemian artsy feel to it now. A must do if you’re visiting Miami!

By M J |

After having a great lunch and drinks with family. We decided to walk through Wynwood Walls and take fun pictures.

By Veronica G |

Liked the overall vibe there but it was kind of hot so would probably do an earlier walk through. The Wynwood walls charged to get in so we did the walk through the neighborhood instead and checked out the old rc cola plant walls instead which is free.

By simply-peregrinating |

A must visit when in Miami. Certainly safe during the day, we found it to be friendly and very busy. Something interesting to see on every street, including the excellent 'Walls'. Buzzing, quirky a great experience to enjoy. We got there on the free Trolley bus from Biscayne Boulevard which stops in the heart of Wynwood.

By My Magic moment |

I think I might be missing out on this street art district a little bit because of fatigue. I saw nothing exceptional except a few frescoes and the neighborhood looks bad. Maybe to do it again with more time.

By Madeleine |

Great art scene/graffiti (check out Wynwood Walls), shopping, restaurants and good nightlife as there are fun and busy bars (there can be queues to enter them later on in the night on weekends). If you're there at night - walk through Wynwood Marketplace which has various vendors and food trucks.

By Julio B |

This is a fantastic neighborhood for people all ages to enjoy the artwork and good food combined. Set out around 10a, get lost around the art and stores then enjoy lunch at many incredible restaurants walk a little more and enjoy a nice coffee and dessert.

By Jonathan C. |

Beautiful, larger than life size street murals. Great spot to explore, wander around, take in the art and find some hidden surprises along the way.

By Cynthia Vergara |

Wynwood is a great place. However, in regards to parking, you will notice that tickets will linger around your car and the minute the parking is up they ticket you. I got to my car 3 minutes after parking ended, and noticed that they ticketed the minute the parking ended. I approached the ticketer and he said to appeal it online, a $45 dollar ticket! The appeal was rejected. It definitely is a deterent for visiting Wynwood.

By Leslie Driskill |

This is a fun area with murals that are regularly updated, art galleries, and casual dining. A must see while you’re in the Miami area.

By Chasity W |

Wynwood is very nice. Safe environment and great place to walk on a hot Miami night. Check out Joeys Italian restaurant while there. Great food!! Also they have freebie ride shuttle service to take you around if walking is too much

By Ariel S |

There is not much to do around. We only been there as my daughter interested in art however this turned out to be a very disappointing experience.

By pupsanka |

Very interesting place to visit. The "Walls" place itself is very small, takes 15 minutes to review, instead I advise to circle around the whole neighborhood in a vehicle, and see all the buildings, they are amazing

By Jamie |

Skip the paid tour and just stroll through the neighborhood. Parking is easy, plenty of paid street parking. Take your time maybe stop for brunch or wine along the way

By Naovice |

amazing place, nice colors, creative artists. a place to take amazing pics to post in Instagram and facebook.

By Pat M |

Wynwood is in 4th place in the list of the unsafest neighborhoods in Miami. It is surrounded by other unsafe neighborhoods as Overtown, Little Haiti and Model City. Read all the terrible reviews and there are scary stories of break ins, homeless and gangs and drug addicts. We don't understand how there were families walking in the streets and busy night life. The art is represented by some murals beside that there is nothing interesting. Safety is first. BTW, we drove some streets never got out of the car.

By Louisa G |

Superb for any art lover with quality murals round every corner. Had great coffee and cocktails at some of the restaurants on the way.

By Heather M |

Stop on hop on hop off bus. Worth getting off and having a walk around. Free to do and there is lots of talent there.

By FloridaMG |

Wynwood is the place to visit if you're looking for a hip place. The neighborhood attracts artists and has plenty of galleries, showrooms, boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Go and enjoy its laid back, counter-culture vibe before gentrification takes over. It gets humming during Art Basel in early December, but then you'll have to put up with the crowds specially in the evenings.

By Dwayne B |

Our Lift driver told us about this place, I did not originally see this as a "site" of interest, maybe I was being too touristy. What an area, one again the origins of this area speaks loads to the personality and inclusiveness of Miami. Here the paint and brush strokes beam as brightly as the vibrant colors of some of the graffiti and various other artists. Both indoor and outdoor pieces covering several blocks. Just awesome. It was surprisingly busy, the great thing is its easy to walk to food, but definitely a cool location to peep some good artistic expression.

By Chris P |

Wynwood is a fantastic area to walk about and experience all the street art. There’s so much going on! There are also a few microbreweries dotted around the area which are great places to go for sampling local brews.

In the evenings the area comes to life with all the different bars brimming with activity. Watch the dress code though as most of the places would expect at least smart casual attire.

By Lisa |

Wonderful Pictures and great atmosphere and always great food! A foodies dream come true! Every time I visit feels like the first time.

By frazsorrells |

Awesome experience and it’s free. The location is ideal as you are in downtown and close to a lot of restaurants and bars.

By stephc352018 |

Definitely worth visiting this area for it's laid back vibe and the incredible street art on display at the Wynwood Walls.

By Ted |

wonderful place to walk around, have a drink or something to eat. True bohemian flavor of this hip neighborhood.

By Aaron Bessier |

Wynwood is cool! Love the food and culture here! But the weather can be a bit humid in the summer! Be sure to pack some sunscreen!

By Sharon Slickis |

Fantastic art that is not only in this outdoor gallery but venture around and you’ll see many graffiti artist works that will blow you away! Gritty, urban, some areas are not so safe so use your street smarts. Bring your camera! It’s a great experience!

By joesmith28 |

Some confusion had the tour start late but all five of us (17 to senior citizens) enjoyed this unique art work.. The guide pointed out interesting facts about the area and some of the artists. We walked around the area and had a snack afterwards which lengthened our time there to about 2.5 hours.

By Bob B |

The area by Wynwood Walls is a must see. Fantastic street art an a selection of Great eating places and breweries.Park car in New garage which is also a piece of art and walk around and enjoy. The art is free so you can afford to eat and drink.
Must See..

By aar0n897 |

I was blown away by how beautiful this place has become. It is rich in varieties of culture and people. I wouldn't miss it. Stop at Wynwood Brewery too. It's a perfect stop.

By bodrumlu50 |

To see thousands of murals go to Wynwood. Huge neighbourhood with too many murals. Easy to transport and car parking.

By Charles C |

To walk along 2nd Avenue looking at the omnipresent art work, or perhaps stopping at Dr Smood for tasty healthy food and satisfying coffee, then at Zak the Baker if you are not in a big hurry, or Miam if you are, then back to walking the streets

By Diner645 |

What a great idea! It’s an Asian food court! Lovely meals and snacks, including sushi, poke bowls, noodle bowls etc! Quick and affordable!

By Claire D |

We were staying in South Miami Beach and read that this was a very funky and artsy area. Perhaps a bit overrated as there are mostly the wall murals to look at and a few galleries but definitely a great vibe there.

By Paolo Carboni |

A neighborhood that must be discovered little by little... at the beginning we went in search, a bit frantic, of the artistic creations, then we selected some to admire and enjoy them. Truly a unique artistic experience, due to the quality of the works.

By Mike B |

Art in Miami , Art deco on ocean drive...a really good place to start with nice restaurant around for warm dinner

By Teli |

Was blown away by all the different types of art. just an amazing place with a great atmosphere. Will definitely visit again. We loved it.

By Crystal X |

Outdoor murals and a few indoor art display rooms, great place to grab a non-basic, basic insta! I visit every time I'm in Miami, not a pleasant place in the rain, but they're still open, just bring an umbrella!

By joelk128 |

Wynwood has lots of art galleries, trendy restaurants and murals on many of the walls, especially the little enclave called Wynwood Walls. It is very crowded on weekends and traffic/parking can be difficult, especially on the second Saturday of each month called Art Walk Miami with large crowds and lots going on. Parking is by Pay By Phone app on the streets or you can valet your car at many restaurants for about $10... but if you are not too far away, take an Uber or Lyft (usually cheaper than Uber-compare prices)

By The Traveling Pollos 🐓 |

If you want to find a place with great music And amazing ambiance- then your place to go is Wynwood Factory - Music starts around 3pm - wear comfortable clothing and shoes because you won’t stop dancing .

By Ricardo B |

To think that these amazing pieces of art are all put down every year to create some new is absolutely insane. Incredible place, incredible art and this is a place that either you see it or you miss it, as this pieces of street art celebrate the constant reinventing of art

By HCovik |

Not one of the safest areas in town and I'd suggest when visiting to use a car service. Besides that, the place is cool, especially at night. It's still what it used to be. A hang out for the younger crowd. The place where you show it all, or almost all, literally. Loud, lots of bars, little restaurants, galleries and of course the Wynwood walls and graffiti everywhere. It can get really crowded and rowdy at times, but police is everywhere, I mean everywhere and all over.
No matter if the area got a bit more commercialized, it's still very raw at the edges and it still feels like you're a dare devil walking around something you'd never visit in a million years in your own home town. It's a cool place, but remember, the police is not there because the doughnuts are free.

By Wanderlust1954 |

Street artists have combined with graffiti artists to revitalize the neighborhood. Almost every building is decorated with art. Lots of small galleries, coffee shops, and food joints. So grab a coffee, hold someone’s hand, and stroll around the Wynwood area.

By Raymond T |

This is a place in downtown Miami that was in bad shape and they star painting vary nice graphitti. There you have now like six blocks of building painting in a nice way and the palce looks really differnt. Go around in car so you can appreciated the art as a whole.

By GigiPM |

The are in general is more interesting and valuable for a visit than the Wynwood Walls themselves, however the walls are worth the $12 ticket simply because of the great exhibit/galleries inside.
Lots of places to grab a bite and little shops, some designer, some are not, but feels very urban, flowing and ever changing. I recommend the museum of graffiti, I learned a lot. Definitely would come back

By Gerry R |

Some interesting things to see. The plaza that you enter and walk around isn't huge, but there is an awful to take in. Some great art! Then you can walk around the streets and there are some great shops and excellent places to eat. Look for the food cart jamboree down the road.

By tr8v2l3r |

Cool neighbourhood. Enjoyed looking at the street art. Didn't have enough time time to go into the walls but there was plenty of art outside.

By Zhanna |

Wynwood is a neighborhood in Miami. It is best known for being a prominent entertainment district, dotted with artwork, restaurants, breweries, clothing stores, etc. The area is highlighted by colorful murals that cover the walls of many of the buildings. It is a lot of fun, you can get great pictures there, relax. I highly recommend everyone to visit it.

By Denise M |

Very interesting and worth the visit. Good shops around the walls. Take photos and just stroll around.

By suexcourt |

The artwork on the buildings is outstanding and the restaurants are great. We look forward to visiting the art galleries in the near future. Lots of people walking around this area enjoying the weather, food and experience that is Wynwood

By DDDFJD |

Loved this area filled with beautiful artwork on almost every building. Take your time & see it all.

By mooseofblue |

This is an area of great looking wall art but also of fascinating museums and galleries. Look up the map on your phone or get one from your hotel.

By SelSoma |

Definitely make a trip to Wynwood when you visit Miami - there is amazing pieces of art in every direction you look!

By Areeyesea |

We had a great time at the Wynwood Walls. The murals are extraordinary pieces of art that are perfect to pose in front of and take selfies with. A fun hour to spend in Miami.

By Shan Y |

Nothing interesting. Mural arts meh. Not really sure why it is highly rated on tripadvisor.

May be the mistake was going from Design District to this ...

By cristian m |

The murals were very nice, several photographs could be taken. In the middle of the route there is a food place that helps you rest for a while and refresh yourself.

By Irene T |

Felt really commercialized with the area flanked by galleries wirh $30k signs posted next to the psosters. When we went, graffitti walls felt also commercialized. We spent 10 min walking thru looking at the art and people posing hard taking instagram lics with it. Ended up staying for dinner as we already paid $15 for parking up to 3 hrs, and leaving so quickly after 10 min didnt seem like it was a trip worth driving out for. Would not consider this a must see

By Zigett |

This neighbourhood is clearly going through significant regeneration and has attracted a lot of media due to its urban art scene. Strolling around the area, we found some great little galleries, restaurants and interesting shops, and witnessed some impressive graffiti murals. Best place to start is probably Wynwood Walls which is the epicentre for street artists and features some inspiring and thought-provoking works. You can also get up close to some of the artists as well. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Miami.

By Hermoine |

Driving to this area at first is a little tricky if you're not from Miami, however once you get there, it is well worth the visit. There are blocks and blocks of absolutely amazing graffiti artwork. Expect to see everything from political slogans to mind blowing creative masterpieces. Allocate a good 2-3 hours to enjoy this area, it is worth it!

By JeroldMcM2014 |

Very impressed by how the neighborhood has changed. A great environment and experience. I highly recommend you try it out, including some of the smaller local food and beverage vendors in the area.

By paulsedgwick1 |

I don't get the attraction of this place. Better wall art in Hollywood. Just seems like classed-up graffiti, to me.

By pmroy1525 |

The four of us were mesmerized by the story and process of Peter Tunney.
Wynnwood Walls made our already great day in Miami even better. A day we will never forget.

By Pepe Peña |

An obligated visit in Miami!

How to get there?: Wynwood is a neighborhood, is located north of Downtown Miami and it has two major sub-districts, the Wynwood Art District in northern Wynwood, and the Wynwood Fashion District. So, depending of what you want to visit you will need to check. I went to the Art District.

Opening Hours: all day.

Cost: admission is free.

Experience: as I mentioned, this is a neighborhood, don’t confuse it with the outdoor exhibition Wynwood Walls, which is part of Wynwood Art District. While you are walking through Wynwood streets you will find a lot of murals, boutiques, restaurants, galleries and art collections. You will be amaze of all the graffiti works that are in the walls, sidewalks, stores, etc. You will need to pay a lot of attention because there is art everywhere.

Duration: you can stay there half a day, resting in some restaurants or having some snacks to recover energy.

By Barry Goldmeier |

This consists of outdoor spaces reserved from artists who were commissioned to do huge mural like paintings and decorative work in what used to be Miami's old garment center factory district. Since its inception some really good restaurants and interesting shops have sprung up there as well.

By Natasha |

Most people visiting Miami have heard of the Wynwood Walls but the neighbourhood of Wynwood is also great! So many great shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops to choose from!

By Pierre P |

I just wish i had more time.
Prioritize over the nearby museums and then have a drink and a meal in the area.

By SamiSeppala |

Great area to visit at daytime, nice graffiti stuff everywhere. restaurants just so so, charging high prices for average drinks. Dont go outside of central of wynwood, it is a jungle. Been at Southside Chicago, reminds me from that.

By TJCams |

Had a post cruise Top 10 Miami bus tour that took us through this truly mesmerizing area of Miami. This is NOT graffiti, this is art. I thought it was a very interesting area, and we had the option to get off the bus and walk around for a few minutes, which I declined, as we just to get to the airport and get home. I would certainly tell others that if time permits to check this area out.

By Alan S |

Very nice. Lots of places to eat Great atmosphere I love Coyo taco and the music at the main areas plenty of places to take pictures with the murals

By Bea |

A very creative district, worth visiting, and definitely if you are interested in graffiti and modern art. It is dynamic and colorful.

By #fatboylife |

Cool art district of Miami. Excellent street art, great beer breweries and bars. Fantastic for a day out explore the suburb and excellent place for day/night drinks.

By budv |

Wynnwood Walls is in the old Miami area. It is quite interesting with many forms of art displays. Graffiti is all over the area. Indoor and outdoor displays. Restaurants and food trucks are in the area.

By imdarkside |

This is art. The canvas is many many city blocks. The art is AMAZING. I have seen alot of street art around the world and this display tops them all. My favorite part of Miami and in my opinion the #1 site to see. So unique, you will not see a better display of free form street art in the world.

By Asiankitty420 |

I love exploring this area. The art is colorful and expressive. I enjoy the emotions I feel when I see each artists burst of creativity. I would recommend spending a couple hours when you visit and also make sure you stop here to see the beauty. Charge your phone because you will want to take lots of photos.

By Diner645 |

Such a lovely variety of food, definitely a foodie scene! And even better with the wet everywhere! We live having ice cream at Dasher and Creme, and dinner at KYU, but don’t try without a reservation!

By Terence F |

The Wynwood Art District of Miami and the Wynwood Walls outdoor museum contain a mind-boggling collection of murals and street art. We spent several hours enjoying the diverse art, and we could probably have spent a couple of days. It is definitely worth a visit.

By CasandraTP |

The area is just fabulous for lovers of street art with the heart of it Wynwood Walls which is an outdoor/indoor art gallery. On the weekend there is a market with food from all around the world and the perfect place to pass away the day. It is a great area to visit if you are in Miami

By sarahtham |

Amazing works of art adorn walls, shop fronts. Take time to enjoy them all over the street where wynwood walls are located. Hip stores and restaurants

By Energyseeker |

Art Scene, Graffitti, great little design stores but not too commercial yet which is fun - interesting scene to watch!

By jorgegrr |

Only a short treck away from Miami Beach (when traffic lets you!) think of spending a whole day away from the waves and the sand, (think cloudy day) by visiting Winwood. You will be enchanted and mesmerized with the art galleries, restaurants of all prices and tastes. walk by immense walls covered with artists fantastic paintings, take a selfie, stop by the food trucks, visit a local brewery or eat a delicious pie in a hole in the wall Fireman's Derek locale. And when you are tired and full, you can always Uber back to your place. You won't be disappointed.

By Anna1963 |

This was highlight in our last visit to Miami. The art and murals are amazing. We visited during during non-weekend days and the place was not crowded at all.

By Daniel Miller |

Went with my wife at night and got to see some of the wall art. The few places to eat and clubs around it make a nice ambient. Its a must go when visiting Miami.

By teacher152015 |

We drove through here as part of a guided tour of Miami. Not impressed with the art work or building. Not much in the area to do once you have seen the paintings.

By Joe B |

definitely worth a stroll after visiting the wynwood walls. Cool cafes and little shops around here too

By Curiosity19436653843 |

I liked its cool climate, the places, the people🥰👌excellent security, delicious food, be very careful where you park your car🚗they are not cheap at all and the tow truck takes it away quickly

By Maren Z |

Area a little bit strange, loud, lots of young and younger people. Spray paint everywhere. Shops are not for us. Restaurants are ok. Pubs, bars Biergarten.

By DesDakin |

The art, the food the walks! It makes a perfect Instagram-able or just memory walk. It's great to experience a different side of Miami, apart from the roller blading kaleidoscopic scene of South Beach.

By Patou |

Must-see neighborhood in Miami. In every street, on every wall, you let yourself be surprised by a new work. Discover the different artists for the greatest pleasure of everyone of all ages.

By MS |

Nice place to take a stroll. Crowds are fairly young so you get a mix of all walks of life. It has plenty of places to eat or drink. Worth a stroll if you want to experience all the wall graffiti art or just an urban part of the city. There are also plenty of ice cream or gelato and coffee shops.

By Catherine G |

We visited the Wynnwood walls for a fee but you can see frescoes everywhere in the neighborhood. Just look up and walk a little around the paid area to see some. Some are on the side of a building so impossible to miss.
On the other hand, avoid being in the area at dusk, the area is not particularly well frequented…
However, during the day, no problem.

By Julie E |

This was part of our Miami highlights tour through the Carnival ship tour. The area has been revised. The art is interesting and colorful. Each piece is unique and ever changing. Even the sidewalks have been decorated. Didn't have time to visit Wynwood walls, they charge now to go through it, not sure how much. The bakery that I wanted to visit was very busy, so I didn't get to try it. I needed more time to look and experience. But the highlight tour helped figure out areas I would want to see more of if I stayed in Miami.

By MichaelMc777 |

The Wynwood distract is full of amazing art. Every turn offers a new piece of graffiti art.

The art is inner mixed with shops, bars, restaurants, and excellent galleries.

The business open about 11am.

It should be seen during daylight hours.

The night seen is fun!!

By holidayseeker |

We loved our tour around this area seeing all the great graffiti wall art work covering all walls and outside areas

By Kathy_56_jb |

Several locals recommended that we make the trip from south Beach to Wynwood Walls and the surrounding neighborhood. So glad we did. Gives new meaning to graffiti and mural art. Great way to enjoy outdoor art and contemporary expression, including some pretty famous names. Also, lots of welcoming galleries and coffee shops. Stopped for lunch at Joey’s. From South Beach: $12 Lyft.

By Neri L |

Wynwood walls are in an old area of Miami, now very Chic. Walls all around the neighborhood has beautiful graffiti works, there are a lot of good restaurants around.

By Martin5192 |

If you like art and funky buildings this is the place to go. Buildings painted, quirky shops, lovely restaurant and coffee houses

By M@D Marty |

We visited this area twice during our stay in Miami Bayshore area. Best way to visit this is by car just systematic cruising through this streets. Stop at nice painting for photos and drive to the next one.
Tip: Parking on the street is expensive but stopping is for free...best time is in the afternoon or early evening than the area is not covered with tourists. Really impressive!

By Steve K |

Wynwood Walls is an amazing neighborhood: brimming with visual delights, world class street art, curated museums of the genre, plus interesting galleries, eateries and boutiques. Download a local Miami parking app before you go, as street parking is much cheaper than the $29 they charge in parking lots.

By Tina R |

The artwork and design of the place of amazing! A great place to see walk around and see a variety of art and take lots of pictures if your like me (selfie happy). Lots of great food too around the area as well along with galleries so I’d recommend you take a taxi see the art and have a bite to eat! They have some boutiques as well for those that want to shop.. not many but a few. It’s well designed and not too crowded to walk around either. I didn’t feel I was squished by people while exploring and had plenty of opportunity to take pics of the murals.

By BrakiWorldTraveler |

Wynwood was a falling apart Miami neighborhood with no pedestrians around, a crime area advised not to go.
But thanks to the visionary businessman Mr. Goldman in only 10 y it became a must go area - one of the world's best street art areas.
Beside the most popular Wynwood walls art district (please see my detailed review of that) in the surrounding streets are many hipster cafes and shops, nice to visit and explore. The place has a very laid back vibe, it perfectlly suits Miami, but don't go too far as few blocks away is a same ghetto like this one used to be.

By Crystal1942 |

We like to walk around Wynwood every time we go there are more restaurants and shops its special and fun !

By paolo0586 |

Interesting walk to discover street art. Unfortunately, the museum was closed, but still we got the idea.

By Munchkin208 |

We absolutely loved the Wynwood area and spent a full day wandering the streets and taking in the huge amount of street art. There were interesting shops and nice, trendy cafes to be found.

By mwooduk |

My husband and I enjoyed visiting here, and did not have too much problem finding parking. However it is very much a young person's area, and while we enjoyed the art and the vibe, it was a little too gritty and weird for our taste plus the restaurants are expensive, even the food trucks and we could not find a decent public restroom anywhere! The restrooms in the Wynwood Marketplace were unusable and filthy and the restaurants all have signs saying no public restrooms! This is something that should be addressed very quickly by the powers that be since the area is now so popular. The area borders a not so great part of town and I would not come here at night. We enjoyed the art on the walls, but the highlights were a visit to Walt Grace Cars and Guitars and the most beautiful little garden that we came upon. Those were the two highlights for us. Worth a visit nonetheless.

By Alex D |

Absolutely amazing the colours and exceptional graphics displayed by freestyle artist is surprisingly refreshing.

By Rima D |

It is worth to visit - very nice street art, cafes, tourists, locals, artists.. very nice enjoyable place

By Mikelemberg |

The Wynwood Walls are super cool. Urban graffiti art by the official walls and all throughout the neighborhood. Some cool shopping but chains are moving in (e.g. Warby Parker — note I love my warby’s — just don’t need a store here). Coolest shop was Walt Grace Vintage Guitars and Cars. Expect large crowds. It is definitely a destination — especially when there is a little rain.

By Terry M |

Visited as part of the Miami Culinary Tour. Great food and art education. Good for young adults as well as +30 crowd.

By Lolly’s Look |

Wynwood has become a very trendy spot with steer art everywhere. The Wynwood walks are a big tourist draw. Now there are upscale trendy restaurants, bars, boutiques and breweries to enjoy.

By Jessica B |

Bachelorette party (9 of us) all arrived at night to different clubs in this area, so we didn't get the chance to see everything during the day, but holy!!! This place is amazing! We border with Detroit, and I found it very similar to some of the areas there. Love all of the different artists and murals. The area is booming with people, culture, music, and artistic expression. I would recommend and I would like to return.

By E Pazzetti |

Wynwood is an outdoor art exhibition with plenty to see, eat, drink, and explore. Once being a warehouse neiborhood, it has evolve to be south Floridas central Art District.

From murals, street art and grafitti to the several chic shops, bars and restaurants, this is a must visit place when comming to miami.

By Mnaj |

Good area, but I expected it to be bigger than it actually was. It was a big parking just a few blocks up the street.

By Vansi1989 |

This neighborhood is great! Walk through those streets and you will be able to admire the art of the walls.

By Mark G |

Long a destination for tourists, the Goldman family project for US and international graffiti artists is enjoyed by all. Families from all over the world viewed the murals, which change about 30% annually. There is also a very good art gallery dedicated to subjects of the human condition. This is now a commercial area, with lots of shops, restaurants of all levels, including several craft breweries.

By Ruth G |

You can stroll or walk, or drive around this unique area looking at lots of wall murals. There are also shops and restaurants.

By Mario M |

If you are looking for a place to spend a couple of hours with teens this is a good option. The place is beautiful and your teens will like to see all the murals. Make sure to get tickets online!

By Ellen M |

Would absolutely recommend Domio Wynwood. We stayed here for 5 days (end of Feb/early March) and it was the perfect getaway. At the time the building was still finishing completion so the lobby and ground level retail weren't finished but the rooms and amenity spaces were completed exactly what we were hoping for.
- more than a hotel, these are fully furnished apartments
- staff was really friendly and helpful
- kitchen comes with a kettle, coffee maker/coffee, tea selection, pots & pans, salt, pepper, and even little olive oil packets
- in unit washer/dryers (with complimentary laundry detergent)
- comfortable beds and living room furniture
- generally quiet (this is still a hotel, some people were loud coming back at night and some days the pool was fairly loud with rowdier)

Loved this place and would definitely stay here again if we visit Miami

By MarciaS |

Huge murals, a chance to walk around both outside and inside large buildings. Some stop in your tracks sculptures.

By superdavesphotos |

Last minute trip while visiting the area and was able to photography at the Wynwood Wall area...the colors and art work were beautiful ...everything is painted and watched as some artists were working on some updated painting...when your in the area it's worth the trip

By 949JessicaK |

It’s really hard to enjoy this spot because of the crowds . Lots of modern , pop art styles I guess . The streets around are all painted similarly. Maybe if it wasn’t so crowded I would have enjoyed it more. Still worth going to ..

By crapschick |

The art scene here is beautiful and so hip. The murals ("Wynwood Walls") are everywhere and so creative. There's a kosher bakery, which is delicious, a "guitar and car" store that was fun to visit and there are countless restaurants, galleries and cafes in the area. What a fun walk.

By newyorkteri |

i think some of the cool independents have left the area. somewhat seedy more touristy less artsy
than it used to be

By TobyBlades |

Lots of amazing Wall Art. I love art of any kind. The painting on the walls all around you make an impact on how you feel. This ia just an amazing place! MUST SEE

By jbutters |

This is a regular stop when I come through Miami especially when I am traveling with newbies. Great murals and graffiti throughout the exhibit and outside on the buildings as well. Always fascinating to stop and walk through. Great restaurants and bars in the area as well so can make a day or evening of it.

By FerMar1 |

It was a fairly quick, but interesting visit, many beautiful works of art freely accessible to everyone.
Now the mural dedicated to Messi's arrival has also been added

By andraskirschner |

Wallpaints are extraordinary effortto make snd gives an open museum or galery feeling of the otherwise bad shape houses.
Only a few tourist (mainly from the safety of their rented cars) were taking pictures.
Many of the paiting actually tell you stories.
Do nor miss to see them. Takes about 20 minutes to drive from South Beach and 15-20 minutes to check them out.

By Evelaine P |

A beautiful neighborhood with lots of graffiti walls. A masterpiece. We walked a lot and it was very hot, but there are places to stop, drink something and continue.
A different and very interesting tour.

By PAD3 |

We loved everything about this area. The art was fantastic. There was also a great "vibe" in the area. Definitely worth a few hours to look around.

By Grover R |

Wynwood is an artsy neighborhood in Miami that illustrates the impact the arts can have on a city and its residents. Historically, the neighborhood ethnic Puerto Rican neighborhood just outside of the Downtown core. It the latter part of the 20th Century it was stagnate and even deteriorating. In the midst of a declining market, the neighborhood turned by agree to embrace art, street art in particular. The decision brought artist and galleries to the neighborhood. It also created Wynwood Walls to be an artistic venue for street art which spilled over to art displays on buildings in the neighborhood. By 2010, the arts emphasis had turned the economic position of the neighborhood around and it was now an appreciating. While Wynwood Walls is still here, many of the artist have had to leave Wynwood to escape rising cost. If you like street art, you need to visit. There are all kinds of art on display in the neighborhood. I highly recommend you visit the neighborhood and walk around. For me I found the neighborhood interesting and safe. With that said, there is an edge to the neighborhood that is not embraced by everyone.

By rvmiami |

I went to see a local band play last weekend. The venue was great, there was food trucks and plenty of fun all night long. I'm glad to see Wynwood is offering a little bit of everything for everyone. Parking can be a bit complicated, especially at really popular venues but overall worth visiting.

You can't say you visited Miami if you don't see the "Wynwood Walls". Great place to take pictures. Wynwood is full with restaurants, at all price levels. It gets packed at night. The parking will probably be a problem if you go at night. An Uber from your hotel would be better than driving there especially if you are not familiar with the area. On the weekends, it is packed with locals visiting the different bars.

Wynwood has quickly become a must-see destination. When I first started coming here in 2011-2012 it was all grunge and edges and Counter-Miami. Fast forward 6 years and the edges have all been worn away, the grunge replaced by carefully curated "debris". It's still a great place to bring your out of town guests. An excellent spot to stop for a beer at myriad taprooms. But now you will have to contend with buses offloading tourists and minivans dropping off post-millennials.
Fun, but no longer counter.

Wynwood is still an exciting place to hang out but I must say it has lost some of its thrill over the years. I never felt the area was dangerous per se, even back then. However, now its missing that swagger that it once had. That feeling that anything could happen there; in abroad daylight or decidedly after midnight, has been worn away with the crowds and the inevitable gentrification. Wynwood is now fully viable and it has the cottage industry to prove it.

High priced clothing shops are sandwiched in with ice cream parlors and one coffee shop after the other. The King, Panther Coffee is still presiding over the realm, but even he has been repainted a drab brown. On the far end of the land sits the queen, O Cinema. Like her counterpart she has been recast, this time in stark white.

But the changes have been needed to fuel the machine. To make Wynwood develop into a true section of town with its own personality and staying power. These changes have allowed the area to thrive and grow. So, it's not what it once was but it is viable. Living. Growing. Feel free to come by and have some fun. Or just drop the kids off.

I was impressed at the level of artistry expressed on the walls. The level of creativity was divers, political, realist, controversial, colorful, nostalgic and sometimes unreal.

Miami may not be able to compete with the amazing art museums of New York, Chicago or Paris, so we've done it a bit different. This once dingy warehouse district has become one of the global meccas of street art. A museum of murals where ever you look, it's become the urban heart of the city and it continues to attract locals and tourists all year long. You can cruise it in a convertible, you can walk it with your dog, you can see it with a stroller, you can kick it with a skateboard. On-foot or on-wheels, people of all ages can spend a few hours taking in the sights and stopping through some of the great shops, tents and pop-up bars that exist.

Waiting over 1 Year for my refund. Never received pair of shorts. Tried calling many times - won’t pick up phone.

The art is so amazing is a historic neighborhood north of downtown Miami within Miami-Dade County. It was originally the settlement of the Puerto Rican community has an artistic activity of museums and art galleries.

“ Wynwood Miami, run by the Wynwood Business Improvement District”. Do you need to know anything else? A developer bought up what used to be the arts district. With the stated intention of turning it into Williamsburg. He succeeded.

Walked the entire block of Wynwood and was mesmerized with all the art everywhere, from the walls, sidewalk, stop signs, restaurant buildings, everywhere. My mind was blown! I appreciate all of the artists that shared their vision with us by their murals, etc. Great shops, eateries! I love Biggie was painted out there....JUST GO! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Went to the Wynnwood Gardens and then just walked around the Wynnwood neighborhood. There are murals everywhere. About every inch of building space had a mural painted on it and each has unique attributes. The only drawback right now is that there is a lot of construction going on in the area, but it is clear that this is an up and coming neighborhood. There is plenty of street parking available, but you need an app on your phone to park on the street. There are also a few parking lots, but they’re more expensive. Of course, viewing all of the artwork is free!

If you are into art or just the street scene, this is a good people watching place. parking can be tough, but worth the effort.

Lots to see and do. We were able to do some shopping and get some food and coffee. Pleasant afternoon.

We had the pleasure of going to Wynwood this past week for the first time and were incredibly surprised that you have access to view such diverse and amazing art with no cost to the public. It's a must see. The graffiti art in the area is impressive as well.

When in Miami don't miss this open air museum. Famous international artists show their masterpieces here. Awesome huge artworks. Free entrance

It’s always a pleasure to come back to Wynwood. This is the 3rd time and it’s still just as beautiful.

The neighborhood has changed a lot, a lot of construction in just a few years. All the shops play the game of having graffiti either on the walls or on the front.

I like this neighborhood even if it has become very, even too trendy. But the soul is still there. At every turn in the street there is graffiti everywhere, even in a warehouse where the public does not have access there is graffiti, even abandoned buildings have their share of graffiti.

I recommend for the experience and to see the talents of the artists…

Mural after mural with redundant graffiti street art, the shops and restaurants are camaflouged and not easy to find. In my opinion, the streets look dirty and unkempt , the art looks lazy and overdone just to cover up more graffiti . I drove through the streets and found nothing worth the time to park and get out. I felt safer in my car.

A favourite neighbourhood of mine which I visit every month or so. Any visitor gets a tour there, and all have enjoyed it. WHats not to like? Lots of galleries to visit, lots of good people-watching to enjoy, and some good cafes and restos to explore.

NOTICE THAT THE LEAD RATINGS OF "4" DATE FROM 2018. SIX YEARS OLD.
Wynwood is rapidly becoming an area of massive development of high rise block apartment buildings. It has suffered the fate of other districts of charm created by artists -- first, the artists come, offer their work for sale, and create cafes This brings a lot of foot traffic to experience the charm.and buy the art What could go wrong?

In the last four to six years, the district has become an ocean of high rise residential construction. We -- tourists -- destroy what we love.

NOT WORTH THE TIME AND EFFORT TO GET THERE.

Must see place when in Miami. It is free to see the walls, great for photos and there are lots of good eats in the immediate area.

By Den |

Great place with some graffiti on the walls. It looked pretty safe to me during the daytime. It is pretty small, you would need no more than 20 minutes there.

By ikabodski |

Different styles on different walls, everything telling a different story. Lighting fixtures to blow your mind.. Peaceful area to wander, parking is very cheap.. Unfortunately for most of us, when you get home, it is just blah with no character or inspiration.

Very cool to see how a neighborhood can change over the years. This area is a must do with great art murals. shopping, libation establishments and restaurants. Fun for all!!!

By giavannapic |

It's so neat to walk around the streets and see so much beautiful art. It can feel a little unsafe in certain areas depending on the time of day, but the main area of Wynwood is cute and worth checking out!

By tif316 |

Was worth driving around and checking out all the fun paintings and murals. Would Recommend when in Miami.

Free gallery worth visiting While walking on the streets u can Indulge yourself into street art graffiti, Excellent plan for friends and family

By Dany L |

See this spot before it gets paved over and gentrified. Get your camera out and walk around. There is so much to see. It's safe and friendly with small galleries, boutiques and cafes everywhere. Spent what I consider the perfect afternoon wandering about.

I have been interested in art wall for near 30 years, and this place is the Best of the Best!!!! And no so extraordinary, but interesting. We even saw an female artist deep in concentration creating a really beautiful piece of art. Some art are so well done, they give a architectural life to the building. Like a 3D effect!!! You can have a coffee (try "Pirates' coffee it's the best! or a drink or even food because there is a bountiful food market where you can eat special donuts to chicken or any other food to your fancy. A wonderful experience all together

By TheLeongOhana |

I spent around 20 minutes or so just driving around the streets just to get a flavor of all the different styles of art painted on buildings. Some were basic but others got quite fancy and elaborate.

I thought the drive was more interesting than Wynwood Walls (not open yet during my visit) and it was free to all. Some blocks were well maintained but others run down. There was a police car roaming around the neighborhood and I came across it a few times during the drive. I assume this must be a hot spot for unauthorized tagging.

Some of my favorites listed below:

Original Gansta: NW21st ST and NW 1st PL
Wynwood Garage: NW 26th St and NW 3rd Ave
Museum of Graffiti: NW 25th ST and NW 3rd Ave
Monopoly (multiples)
Astra Rooftop Garden: NW 21St and NW 1st PL
Seated Giant Statue: NW 5th St and NW 22nd LN

I came only during the early morning but there were bars, restaurants and small shops interspersed all around. Could be livelier once they opened up.

If you are interested in art and you are visiting Miami look no further. There are so many murals and interesting spots to see. This is a great tour to take for people of all ages. A MUST!

Worth to visit. We are in Miami Beach on the hop on hop off bus (red buses) and got off at Wyndwood after the Designer District. Very colorful murals. Very nicely done. In Wyndwood, prices were lower than Miami Beach and the Designer District. In the DD you can easily pay $10 for a simple small bottle of water. The hop on hop off bus cost $171.00 for three. Absurd actually. Bring a credit card and possibly your own snacks. Or maybe book in advance?

By Casey1919 |

This was one of the stops on the Hop On Hop Off bus tour and it was well worth the visit. Local and international artists have painted murals on the walls of buildings and painted works of art that are hanging on the wall of the interior of the buildings. A very fun place to spend an hour of time while in the Miami Beach and Miami area.

It is an option to see urban art on the walls of the
City, familiar, safe and full of nice things, I recommend not going when there is a lot
Heat as if it hits hard and makes you tired one more

By MichaelJT19 |

Good place to visit during the day or at night. Had great restaurants, sites to see and gun ranges..

By BAF_52 |

I packed my opinion into the heading. The street art here is well executed but lacks bite or vigour. Yes it is worth a look if you are in the area but don't expect too much. If you want vibrant, provocative and challenging there are other places in the world...Orgosolo in Sardinia, the East End of London, Belfast...loads of places...most big cities.

By Anabela F |

Very nice district full of street art, art galleries, nice restaurants, nice shops. I recommend that you have lunch or dinner there

Nice trendy neighborhood in Miami with beautiful murals. Very artistic and seemed atmosphere.
Wynwood Walls can also do you but is paying. Free walking around the neighborhood is definitely worth it.

By Janice238 |

we stop by wynwood it was absoltuty impresiv to see all the mural tag it's so artistique beautiful you can even understand story for some of them if you love paint et stuff like that so that's is a place to be 10/10

By Sindy B |

My daughters (15 and 17) and I had a great time and took amazing photos. A must see. It poured on us most of the time there but we just got soaked because it was so worth it. I wish we could have ventured out and experienced the rest of the neighborhood and art galleries. We ate a quick lunch at Coyo tacos a few blocks down.

By masoares |

In addition to the Wynwood Walls atraction, the neighborhood of Wynwood is very worth to explore. There are graffiti painting all over the streets, building façades, etc. Many art galleries also flock in the neighborhood. Together with restaurants, bars and cafés, you can spend a whole day in the area.

By Shelley R |

Loved the art galleries in the areas, loved the restaurant at Wynwood walls, food was amazing. Enjoyed our visit, was there 4 years ago and the area has improved and still growing, great to see more artwork and it’s all free..

By yaf111 |

Just go over there, absolutely worthwhile, beautiful district and the walls are so incredible, fully free tour, beautiful painting street art, just amazing and then walk around to see all great street art painting all around the Design District area, worthwhile to go over there.

Fun and interesting walk around Wynwood looking at all the interesting artwork. We look forward to returning and perhaps doing one of the Wynwood Food Tours.

We had never heard of this neighborhood and were in for a treat. A well curated selection of extremly creative murals serve as a backdrop to this free exhibition. What a treat.

A phenomenal place for artists and art lovers. Thank God Miami developed this otherwise forgotten part of the town. A marvelous place.

By Julia D |

Great place to visit. There is a lot to see and many photos opportunities. Be sure to visit a place across the street called La La Land. They have this beautiful entrance filled with plants and this huge fake gorrila for you to take picture with.

By SailingDutchman |

Eclectic area with wonderful art buildings, murals and nice restaurants.
It is small enough to just park your car and wonder around. There is no entry fees for almost every art gallery/building.

By BGoudieSOMI |

This is the area that is hot right now in Miami. Lots of fun, trendy galleries and exhibits. Plus, the edgy, artsy people that come with it.

By Sarah Paynter |

Throughout the 2 years I lived in Miami I visited Wynwood probably on a bi-weekly basis as an average. I love the artistic, grungy, alternative free-spirited nature it brings to Miami, quite unlike most other suburbs in the city. In my opinion, it brings Miami to life... and onto the world map! The amount of people I've met on the street or in bars/restaurants from all over the world is insane!
My go-to restaurants in Wynwood are KYU (incredible Asian infusion) 1800-LUCKY (happy-go-lucky Asian food court style), SuViche, CoyoTaco, Prohibition, Sugarkane, Wynwood Yard, Doma, The Butcher Shop & Garden (for drinks and socializing), Plant Miami, Beaker & Gray have great Happy Hour... OMG there's so many!!

Honestly... if you're a foodie in Miami for a few days this is what I'd recommend:
Dedicate at least an afternoon to wandering around Wynwood bar/restaurants hopping... don't drive.. take an Uber.
Spend lunch and dinner around the area so you can truly absorb the beauty and uniqueness of the each place you visit.

The ladies and I headed here to check out the art scene and hang out at a few of the bars. You definitely need to visit and plan to spend at least half a day. Lots to see and a bunch of fun bars to hang out at. We went on a Friday checked out the The Wynwood Yard, lots of small shops and food trucks. We also went to the Dirty Rabbit, fun bar with a good outside patio, had drink specials. We also went to the Wakefield Brewery, decent IPA's and fun art. We also went to Gramps another fun spot.

By Andrea S |

I had the most awesome gelato...lol...and yes the art was cool. I find this to be quite informative and I appreciate art and wish LA had such an exhibit.

Awesome everywhere! This is just one example of art-in-perpetual-motion everywhere in Wynwood. Its a visual feast!
