Snow was flying all over the sky. There was a thin layer of snow in the streets and alleys. The snow covered the roofs, rendering Chazhi in only black and white. The uncle in the shop downstairs was sweeping the snow in front of the shop. The village women who hurried by on the road wrapped their clothes tightly, opened the window, and happily caught some cold snowflakes with their hands. They were excited and couldn't wait to go out and have a close contact with the snow. They quickly washed up and went out to see the snow.

When I opened the door, I was still amazed by the scenery in front of me. Everything was covered with snow, which was extremely beautiful.

Chaji Village is a national AAAA-level scenic spot, a national key cultural relic protection unit, a famous Chinese historical and cultural village, and the No. 1 sketching village in China. It is the largest existing ancient village of the Ming and Qing dynasties in my country, and also the most well-preserved ancient building complex.

There are more than 140 ancient buildings left, including more than 40 bridges, 30 ancestral halls and 4 temples. The "Degong Hall" built in the Yuan Dynasty is located in Shuilang Lane in the village. It has a three-story gatehouse. The front eaves of the hall are low. The eaves columns are made of nanmu, which are thick, short and round. The column bases are covered with plates without carvings. The "Yongqing Hall" and "Jinshi Gate" of the Ming Dynasty are delicately carved and exquisitely structured.

The commercial development here is relatively moderate, and the number of inns and shops is not overwhelming. From time to time, you can see some local residents doing their daily work. Tourists do not feel abrupt when they are here, and there is no embarrassment of being in an artificial scene like in "The Truman Show". Everything happens so naturally...

What you can see in the ancient village of Chaji seems to be only old and broken scenes, with peasant women washing clothes in the stream and dogs walking slowly in the alley. In terms of ancient buildings and streets, it is a better place for sketching than Hongcun. The houses along the stream are absolutely simple and honest!

It is about 60 kilometers away from Jiuhua Mountain. It is recommended to visit Taohuatan together. Chaji is known as the largest painter village in China. It is a must-visit for sketching. You can imagine that the scenery and service here are good. Arrive in the evening, stay in the village for one night, and walk around the ancient town early the next morning. From Fanchang through Nanling to Chaji, the scenery is beautiful along the county and provincial roads, but the roads are narrow and driving is stressful. It is famous for the popular and eternal masterpiece "Presented to Wang Lun" by Li Bai, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, "The water of Taohuatan is a thousand feet deep, but not as deep as Wang Lun's love for me", so I went there. The ticket and boat trip here cost 82 yuan. It is actually a village with some farmers and connected by roads. Several pavilions are surrounded by peach trees. It should be beautiful in the flowering season, but now peaches are hanging on the branches, and it seems that there are only three of us in the whole scenic area.

I went to Chazhi Ancient Town during the peak holiday season. There were few people and it was not overly commercialized. It was very pleasant to walk along the river every day.

As an ancient architectural scenic spot that charges 80 yuan in the peak season and 60 yuan in the off-season, there are many areas that need to be improved. First, the private connection of various lines has destroyed the beauty of the scenic spot, and photography enthusiasts can't get started at all; second, the management of vehicles is haphazard, and they are parked everywhere, which seriously affects the tour experience; third, various tourist services are similar to those of surrounding scenic spots and have no characteristics.

It's a long way to get to this small village in the corner of the mountain. If you have enough time, it's better to stay overnight. There are many tourists during the day, but fewer tourists in the evening. In the early morning, get up early to see the morning mist and walk around the village. This is the time to appreciate the charm of the ancient village.

Nanjing - Xuancheng - Jingxian - Zhaji, train - bus - urban and rural bus. Zhaji has beautiful scenery and simple folk customs. Compared with some completely commercialized ancient towns, the journey is bumpy but worth a visit. Chartering a car from Zhaji to Huangshan costs 300.

Accommodation: Chaji Ancient Town is a relatively new tourist attraction with few visitors. The ancient town is not far from Jing County and has convenient transportation. Meals: Chaji Ancient Town is a relatively new tourist attraction, so the commercial atmosphere is not too serious. The price of meals is not too high. I recommend that there is a noodle restaurant at the entrance of the alley opposite the Baogong Temple. The large rib chicken noodle soup there is very delicious and costs 15 yuan per bowl.

It's actually a pretty good ancient town, quite large in scale, with some beautiful courtyards, but there are many newly built and renovated buildings, which lacks some romance and spirit.

Chaji in Xuancheng is OK. It only took a few hours to visit. I think it was artificially modified. It is a small village, similar to Hongcun. But it feels quite remote. Now I will provide the route and strategy:

This is a very small village. We arrived at 11:00 am. At the intersection, people from the farmhouse inside came out to solicit customers. We bought tickets at the door, 80 yuan per person, free for those under 1.2. Then we followed the lady in, and drove the car in. If there is no one to lead the car, the car can be parked in the parking lot outside, 10 yuan. It is not expensive. It is not far to walk in. About 200 meters. It is recommended to park the car outside, there is a field of rapeseed flowers outside. Walking in is the pedestrian street. It is average. Then we played around the river. There are many flat hostels and accommodations inside. There are also many places to eat. The tour was over between 1:30 and 2:00 in the afternoon. We went home.

It is about 30 kilometers away from Taohuatan. I suggest you visit here in the morning, then go to Taohuatan and stay overnight. The next day, go around Taohuatan. Then end the trip. The road to Taohuatan has a very nice scenery. People are also very relaxed. Next to it is Xinfeng River, and the water is very beautiful.

I went there during the May Day holiday in 2014. I drove to the parking lot at the bottom of the ancient village, and then took a bus to the entrance of the ancient village.

In the tofu shop on the river bank, the villagers were waiting early, watching with satisfaction as the milky white soy milk filled the large enamel jar. In the old house of more than 600 years, three generations of people enjoyed family happiness. In the quiet afternoon, the water gurgled and the occasional cicadas chirped. Everything here is not flashy or gorgeous, but full of the flavor of fireworks.
