Chaji Ancient Village

Chaji Village in Jing County, Anhui Province, is a relatively well-preserved ancient building complex. Cenxi, Xuxi and Shixi rivers converge in the village, and Hui-style buildings with white walls and black tiles are built along the rivers.
There are many ancestral halls in the village. The brick carvings, wood carvings and stone carvings of the Hui style are very exquisite. You can appreciate the exquisite Hui style buildings such as the Erjia Temple; visit the ancient Degong Hall of the Yuan Dynasty; and taste Mao tofu.
Airitang is the filming location of "The Inn in the Deserted Village", and Yuegui Villa is the hometown of Hu Ge in "Revelation of Life". Chaji is about 20 kilometers away from Taohuatan in the east, and they can usually be visited together.

The scale is very large. The whole village seems a bit scattered, as if there was no overall plan when the village was built. It is like a maze, with countless alleys, making you wonder where you are. The old-style houses in the ancient village are lined up one after another, and the light gray horse-head walls are connected into one piece. Walking on the polished and shiny stone slabs is like going back to the past... Listening to the villagers telling the stories of the ancient village in the village ancestral hall. The unique carvings in the Hui-style architecture are amazing!

When I first came to Chazhi, the sky was gray. In the afternoon, after packing my luggage, I took my SLR and went out for a walk. Although the weather was not very good, I was in a very good mood. There were a few local villagers sitting in a small shop by the river, roasting fire and chatting.

The next day, I woke up naturally, stretched, and checked my phone. It was already past eight o'clock. The first thing I did when I got up was to run to the window and open the curtains. As expected, it was snowing...

Snow was flying all over the sky. There was a thin layer of snow in the streets and alleys. The snow covered the roofs, rendering Chazhi in only black and white. The uncle in the shop downstairs was sweeping the snow in front of the shop. The village women who hurried by on the road wrapped their clothes tightly, opened the window, and happily caught some cold snowflakes with their hands. They were excited and couldn't wait to go out and have a close contact with the snow. They quickly washed up and went out to see the snow.

When I opened the door, I was still amazed by the scenery in front of me. Everything was covered with snow, which was extremely beautiful.

Walking on the snow, a person is surrounded by this white scene, walking along the river, everything is silvery and clean, it is so beautiful!

Blizzard, Chazi

Many years ago, there were too many people blocking the road two kilometers away from Chaji, so I resolutely turned around and left. I didn't expect to come here again in the heavy snow at the end of the year. Without the crowds of tourists, the ancient town in the snow was particularly quiet. Unexpected? Expected? !

You must go to the ancient town when there are few people, so that you can enjoy it slowly

A typical small village in Huizhou, it is not as famous as top villages like Xidi and Hongcun, but it can still attract many art students to sketch here. Perhaps all art students in China will come to southern Anhui to practice sketching!

By Self-Sailing |

Chaji Village is a national AAAA-level scenic spot, a national key cultural relic protection unit, a famous Chinese historical and cultural village, and the No. 1 sketching village in China. It is the largest existing ancient village of the Ming and Qing dynasties in my country, and also the most well-preserved ancient building complex.

There are more than 140 ancient buildings left, including more than 40 bridges, 30 ancestral halls and 4 temples. The "Degong Hall" built in the Yuan Dynasty is located in Shuilang Lane in the village. It has a three-story gatehouse. The front eaves of the hall are low. The eaves columns are made of nanmu, which are thick, short and round. The column bases are covered with plates without carvings. The "Yongqing Hall" and "Jinshi Gate" of the Ming Dynasty are delicately carved and exquisitely structured.

The commercial development here is relatively moderate, and the number of inns and shops is not overwhelming. From time to time, you can see some local residents doing their daily work. Tourists do not feel abrupt when they are here, and there is no embarrassment of being in an artificial scene like in "The Truman Show". Everything happens so naturally...

A very small scenic spot, authentic ancient Huizhou architecture, a very quiet village, small bridges and flowing water, many students come here to sketch. I also stopped by on the 28th of the lunar year. Since it was New Year's Eve, no one came here to travel. It was around 8 o'clock in the evening when I arrived. I booked a homestay online. Because the homestay was in the scenic area, I drove directly to the scenic area without knowing it. There was no entrance fee because everyone was off work. In the end, I spent no money to visit Zhaji Village. The scenery was very good and it is worth recommending

2024.9.2 Our family came to Jing County for tourism. Chaji Ancient Village is the most historic ancient architectural village in the area and is worth a visit.

By Photography Road |

Chazhi Ancient Town is a must-visit place for art students to sketch, with beautiful mountains, waters and scenery.

By Moonlight in the city |

Chazhi Ancient Town is very simple and quaint, with a less commercial atmosphere. Although it drizzles, it is more artistic.

By Crazy Hug |

Chazhi Ancient Town is much better than I imagined! I have been to quite a few ancient towns, and although most of them are similar, this one is still worth a visit~~

By Longing for the fragrance of rice flowers |

The ancient town of Chaji is still full of life, and many people who like to sketch come here to sketch. The scenery is very nice. The micro-style architecture here is very distinctive.

By Rest, little thief |

It is an ancient village with relatively original ecology. The whole village is listed as a key cultural relic protection unit at the national level. It is not a very popular scenic spot and is not heavily commercialized. However, the village landscape also lacks any particularly moving features.

By Teddy Bear |

At a high point in Chazhi, a family cleverly built a small iron tower for tourists to take photos, charging 5 yuan per person, which is very cheap.

By Sunset Yellow Sand |

Chaji is one of the must-go places in Jing County. The village is very large and you can stay there for a night to slowly experience the leisure of the people living by the small bridges and flowing water. Although the ancient buildings in the village are not magnificent, they are exquisite and elegant, full of historical atmosphere. (The photos are not taken well, and I am learning slowly)

Chaji Village is very large. It seems that there was no overall plan when the village was built. The whole village seems a bit scattered, like a maze, with countless alleys that make you wonder where you are. The streets seem to have been walked before, but they are new. The alleys are connected everywhere, and there is an exit after twists and turns. The stone slabs under your feet are polished and shiny, recording the ancient imprint. Although the houses are made of uniform blue bricks and black tiles, the clever Chaji people have cleverly laid out the layout, "building houses on the mountains and forming villages beside the water". The distribution pattern of the residential houses cleverly uses the techniques of borrowing scenery and contrasting scenery in Chinese classical garden art to form a "harmony between man and nature" pattern of "loss inside the dike is compensated outside the dike", "green mountains outside the door are like inside the house, and water flows from the east house to the west neighbor". In addition, there are often many students who come to Chaji to sketch and collect folk songs.

By Fluffy |

The sunset, blue sky, white clouds and the ancient town of Chaji under the green mountains are simply beautiful! No matter how low-end your mobile phone or camera is, you can still see the ancient town buildings and the blue sky as soon as you focus! It's all beautiful! What you can see in the ancient village of Chaji seems to be only old and broken scenes, with peasant women washing clothes in the stream and dogs walking slowly in the alley. However, the prosperity of the past has become the peaceful farm life today. Today's Chaji is like a sleeping old man, revealing the prosperity of the past between his vicissitudes of life.

By Landlords don't work |

One is the ancestral hall with carved beams and painted rafters, the other is the Hui-style houses with blue bricks and small tiles, the third is the clear and winding Xu River through the city, and the fourth is the starry night sky. I have special feelings about the fourth point in particular. I always remember the summer nights when I was a child. Because there was no air conditioning, our family often set up mosquito nets on the roof to get through the stuffiness in the first half of the night. At that time, the greatest pleasure was to watch the Milky Way and count the stars. Sometimes I saw shooting stars across the night sky, but there was no romantic concept at that time. I asked my mother what kind of star this was? My mother said it was called a broom star. Now, I can't remember how many years it has been since I last saw the stars. The red night sky in the city is like a false curtain, covering the night sky of my childhood. Unexpectedly, this trip to Chaji allowed me to see the night sky again.

By No trace of cloud |

In terms of ancient buildings and streets, it is a better place for sketching than Hongcun. The houses along the stream are absolutely simple and honest!

By Du |

It is about 60 kilometers away from Jiuhua Mountain. It is recommended to visit Taohuatan together. Chaji is known as the largest painter village in China. It is a must-visit for sketching. You can imagine that the scenery and service here are good. Arrive in the evening, stay in the village for one night, and walk around the ancient town early the next morning. It is still very pleasant.

By 1111 |

From Fanchang through Nanling to Chaji, the scenery is beautiful along the county and provincial roads, but the roads are narrow and driving is stressful. To the destination, going straight is Taohuatan, the place where Li Bai gave a gift to Wang Lun, and turning right is Chaji. As a result, we accidentally entered Houan, an undeveloped ancient town. Unexpectedly, the scenery is very beautiful.

By Chen Weiwei |

Maybe it's because there are not many tourists in the off-season. Because it is known as the "Anhui Artist Village", many painters and students from the art academy come here to sketch, copy and create in order to trigger creative inspiration. Chaji Ancient Village is well-known in Jing County and is well protected. However, some newly built building materials are more modern, which is somewhat inconsistent with the style of ancient buildings. Some buildings may be dilapidated and neglected due to funding problems. It is famous for the popular and eternal masterpiece "Presented to Wang Lun" by Li Bai, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, "The water of Taohuatan is a thousand feet deep, but not as deep as Wang Lun's love for me", so I went there. The ticket and boat trip here cost 82 yuan. It is actually a village with some farmers and connected by roads. Several pavilions are surrounded by peach trees. It should be beautiful in the flowering season, but now peaches are hanging on the branches, and it seems that there are only three of us in the whole scenic area.

By Marginal people |

Take a break from the busy life - visit the ancient town of Chaji. Less than 20 kilometers away from Taohuatan, there is an ancient village with the reputation of "another world beyond the human world" - Chaji Ancient Village, which also has a very artistic name "Anhui Artist Village". As soon as you enter the village, you will see the well-preserved old Hui-style buildings, winding bridges and flowing water, and wind-stained black tiles and white walls, as if you have walked into an old and ancient ink painting. The so-called "Hui" is a combination of humanities and landscapes, forming a landscape of building houses on the mountain and building villages by the water. It is really worthy of the saying: "Ten miles of Cha Village are nine miles of smoke, three streams converge among thousands of households, under the shadow of temples, pavilions, towers, and small bridges and flowing water are under the sky of apricot blossoms." It makes people think: building a house here, the place is biased and far away...

Chaji Ancient Town is one of the many ancient towns in southern Anhui. Take the road full of rapeseed flowers to reach the ancient buildings in Chaji. The ancestral hall, small bridge, flowing water, and of course the Jingxian snacks and steamed cakes are all fascinating.

By white night |

It is not a well-developed ancient town, which is also a blessing for those who go there. There are too many ancient towns with serious commercial development, and people are tired of them. However, because of its geographical location and historical customs, Chaji still retains the simplicity of the ancient village. Walking on the lanes paved with bluestone slabs, your mind is peaceful, and every breath of air you breathe is fresh and sweet. I recommend everyone to go there.

By Aniko |

Chaji is less than 20 kilometers away from Taohuatan. It is said that after the great poet Li Bai bid farewell to Wang Lun at Taohuatan, he was invited by Cha Shimo (official secretary and proofreader) from Chaji to travel and live in Shimen Bishan in Chaji. He lingered there for several days and forgot to leave. It was not until the proofreader brought tea and wine to entertain him that he woke up from his dream and wrote down the famous sentence "When asked why I live in Bishan, I smiled but did not answer, my heart was at ease. Peach blossoms and flowing water disappear, there is another world, not the human world". We cannot verify the truth of the rumor, but after seeing the beauty of Chaji, I believe that Li Bai had absolutely no reason to refuse the opportunity to encounter this peerless beauty.

The village of Chaji is nestled in the mountains and faces the water. Xuxi, Cenxi and Shixi flow through the village from west to east. The mountain, water and pastoral landscape are distinctive. There is a saying that goes, "Whose home is deep in Wuling? It's all in one place, beside the water and the mountain. Don't worry about the fisherman leaking the news, we'll make an appointment to see the peach blossoms next year."

In Chaji, you will be moved by the silence. During the day, there are many people but it is quiet. Children fish in the stream and paint on the trail; farmers work in the fields and old people sew shoe soles in the sun. The people of Chaji work at sunrise and rest at sunset. At night, the temperature drops. Walking to the mountain, although there are no street lights, the moonlight and fireflies will light up for you. Everything is peaceful and slow.

By Shanghai Sunrise |

The ancient town of Chaji was built in the Tang Dynasty, with a history of more than 1,600 years. Chaji River, which is a confluence of Cen River, Xu River and Shi River, meanders through the village, and the stone channel passes by every household. It is a typical Hui-style building complex with white walls, black tiles and ink paintings. The whole village lies leisurely under the ethereal sky, exuding a refreshing fragrance that is intoxicating. Here, there is a gurgling stream flowing down from the mountain, with a crisp and pleasant sound. In the early morning, Xuxi River is very lively. People are washing clothes, washing vegetables, washing faces and brushing teeth, men, women, old people and young people, as if their day starts from this river.

By His son |

I went to Chazhi Ancient Town during the peak holiday season. There were few people and it was not overly commercialized. It was very pleasant to walk along the river every day.

By Sword |

As an ancient architectural scenic spot that charges 80 yuan in the peak season and 60 yuan in the off-season, there are many areas that need to be improved. First, the private connection of various lines has destroyed the beauty of the scenic spot, and photography enthusiasts can't get started at all; second, the management of vehicles is haphazard, and they are parked everywhere, which seriously affects the tour experience; third, various tourist services are similar to those of surrounding scenic spots and have no characteristics.

By Don't stir up a hornet's nest |

It's a long way to get to this small village in the corner of the mountain. If you have enough time, it's better to stay overnight. There are many tourists during the day, but fewer tourists in the evening. In the early morning, get up early to see the morning mist and walk around the village. This is the time to appreciate the charm of the ancient village.

I'm just making this up. I don't live in Chazhi.

Relatively speaking, Chaji Village has better preserved the overall characteristics of Hui culture. As a favorite sketching location for painters, every shot you take is a landscape.

By Kirby round round |

The ticket to such an ordinary rural place costs 80 yuan, and the accommodation costs 100 yuan a night. It's really crazy. I spent money to see such a shabby place. I drove for more than six hours. I don't know which inexperienced person promoted Chaji as beautiful.

By Yihong Gongzi Sifan |

A pretty good village, well preserved and well restored. It's worth a visit for friends who like taking photos.

By Uncle Charlie |

The ancient village is surrounded by mountains and rivers, with fresh air and leisurely life. The ancient buildings with southern Anhui characteristics are relatively well preserved, not commercial, simple folk customs, local people have a good business mentality, and the prices are very fair. We stayed in Xiangpu Inn in the ancient village for one night, which was very worthwhile!

By Dopamine |

Wow, it's really a place worth visiting. The Hui-style architecture is so beautiful. A friend of mine who studies art said that they have been painting Hui-style architecture for several years. This is the first time I have seen its true appearance. The local business atmosphere is not very strong. I recommend playing for an afternoon. You can find a quiet place to watch the stars at night. However, there are few lights and it is very gloomy. There are also a lot of food. It's only about 100 yuan for two people. Fortunately, there is no overcharging. Anyway, I haven't seen it... There is also a small museum in the ancient town. Students only need 18 yuan per person. The staff are enthusiastic in explaining. It's just my friend and I. The first time we visited, there were fewer people than the staff... And I went there during the May Day holiday. I really recommend it.

Unlike many "ancient towns" that are not ancient towns at all, Chaji is indeed an ancient town, and the houses are very old. The geographical location is remote and the transportation is not very convenient. I feel that most people go there by car or with a tour group. The tickets are a bit expensive. The scenic spot planning is chaotic, and there is no decent scenic area map. The farmhouse dishes are really delicious, and the meals are cooked on the stove.

By Draw the Sword |

The village of Chaji, covering an area of more than 30 square kilometers, was first built in the early Sui Dynasty, flourished in the Song and Yuan Dynasties, reached its peak in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and was destroyed in the late Qing Dynasty and modern times. It has a history of more than 1,300 years. It is the largest in southern Anhui and one of the largest ancient village groups in China.

I came to Chaji during the Qingming Festival. Although the weather was not good, it could not stop the strong atmosphere of the ancient Huizhou town from this small town. In spring, rape flowers were everywhere, wild ducks were in groups, and wisps of white smoke were floating between the blue brick and white wall buildings.

By Yaoyao's little bones. |

Very good! The locals are also very nice! Although the heavy rain on the first day, floods on the second day, and sunny weather on the third day are very frustrating, I still want to go again if I have the chance! ! ! The osmanthus rice wine is very delicious! ! ! The flower rice wine is very delicious! ! ! Hahaha, don't miss it!

It is an ancient village. Some people come to see the Hui-style architecture, and some come to sketch. By the way, people with surnames can get discounts by buying tickets with their ID cards. I personally think the 80 yuan ticket is a bit expensive.

There aren’t many people here, so the commercial atmosphere isn’t too strong. However, many ancestral halls are being renovated, and commercialization is probably accelerating.

An ancient village in Jing County, Anhui Province, 60 kilometers away from the county seat, near Jiuhua Mountain, Huangshan Mountain, and Qingyang. Small bridges, flowing water, horse head walls, the iced fermented rice wine of my comrade-in-arms uncle Akang is very refreshing, a plate of dried bamboo shoots and dried soybeans is a very authentic snack, very chewy, I can chew it even if I have bad teeth, green mugwort flour cakes, lots of chestnuts and peanuts, a paradise for foodies, as shown above

Chaji belongs to a small town under Jing County. It takes about 1 hour to take a bus from the county to the entrance of the scenic spot. If you don’t buy a ticket, it is recommended that the driver put you at the ticket office. There is still a distance from here to the entrance! After buying the ticket, the battery sightseeing car will take you to the entrance of the scenic spot. You can ask the tour guide to explain, 50 yuan per time. If you want to understand this town thoroughly, you might as well ask one. If you just want to have fun with the scenery, then it’s not necessary! The peak season ticket for Chaji is 80 yuan from April to October, and the off-season ticket from November to March is 60 yuan. I was surprised to see that the beehive was written as 58 yuan per person. The editor should change it... The people who come here are basically artists, students and painters who paint from life, adding a lot of literary and artistic atmosphere to this place! The typical Hui style architecture has a unique small town flavor. The owner of the hotel is also amiable and enthusiastic. The air is super good, especially after the rain, after the baptism of nature, this town has become more beautiful. Many things can only be experienced after going there. The food and accommodation are not expensive and the price is reasonable! It’s good to walk around here! Regarding transportation, there is a high-speed rail in Jingxian County, and there are buses from Shanghai and Hangzhou that go directly to Jingxian County, which is quite convenient!

Nanjing - Xuancheng - Jingxian - Zhaji, train - bus - urban and rural bus. Zhaji has beautiful scenery and simple folk customs. Compared with some completely commercialized ancient towns, the journey is bumpy but worth a visit. Chartering a car from Zhaji to Huangshan costs 300.

By Go your own way |

In the ancient town of Chazhi, there is no need to deliberately look for scenic spots. You just need to walk slowly along the stream, and every step is a beautiful picture; you just need to follow the alleys and walk into the ancient buildings, each of which has a legendary history.

Tips:

Transportation: 1. There is a bus from Jing County to Chaji Ancient Town every 40 minutes.

2. We chartered a car from Jiuhua Mountain. The journey was about 70 kilometers, of which 10 kilometers were very difficult to walk on the mountain road. The chartered car price was 280 yuan.

Accommodation: Chaji Ancient Town is a relatively new tourist attraction with few visitors. The ancient town is not far from Jing County and has convenient transportation. There are many hotels in the ancient town. Therefore, it is not necessary to book a room in advance if it is not a holiday. The price of a standard room is about 100 yuan.

Meals: Chaji Ancient Town is a relatively new tourist attraction, so the commercial atmosphere is not too serious. The price of meals is not too high. I recommend that there is a noodle restaurant at the entrance of the alley opposite the Baogong Temple. The large rib chicken noodle soup there is very delicious and costs 15 yuan per bowl.

It's actually a pretty good ancient town, quite large in scale, with some beautiful courtyards, but there are many newly built and renovated buildings, which lacks some romance and spirit.

Chaji in Xuancheng is OK. It only took a few hours to visit. I think it was artificially modified. It is a small village, similar to Hongcun. But it feels quite remote. Now I will provide the route and strategy:

This is a very small village. We arrived at 11:00 am. At the intersection, people from the farmhouse inside came out to solicit customers. We bought tickets at the door, 80 yuan per person, free for those under 1.2. Then we followed the lady in, and drove the car in. If there is no one to lead the car, the car can be parked in the parking lot outside, 10 yuan. It is not expensive. It is not far to walk in. About 200 meters. It is recommended to park the car outside, there is a field of rapeseed flowers outside. Walking in is the pedestrian street. It is average. Then we played around the river. There are many flat hostels and accommodations inside. There are also many places to eat. The tour was over between 1:30 and 2:00 in the afternoon. We went home.

It is about 30 kilometers away from Taohuatan. I suggest you visit here in the morning, then go to Taohuatan and stay overnight. The next day, go around Taohuatan. Then end the trip. The road to Taohuatan has a very nice scenery. People are also very relaxed. Next to it is Xinfeng River, and the water is very beautiful.

Well worth a visit.

I went there during the May Day holiday in 2014. I drove to the parking lot at the bottom of the ancient village, and then took a bus to the entrance of the ancient village.

It is quite large in scale and will take at least half a day. Catering and accommodation are very convenient, but ticket checking is quite strict.

If you want to visit some old houses in the village, you have to pay the owner. If the time is right, it is also good to stay overnight.

Although Chaji Village has gone through a hundred years of wind and rain and no longer has its former charm, it still has 15 bridges such as Honglou, Tianshen, Lingzhi, and more than 10 ancestral halls and temples. Among them, the larger Baogong Temple, Honggongke, and Erjia Temple have gilded eaves and carved beams and painted buildings, which make it easy to imagine the former appearance of Chaji Village.

Rather than calling it a scenic spot, it is better to call it a quiet home. We went there in the summer, and early in the morning, the Xuxi River was bustling with activity. Men, women, old and young people were washing clothes, washing vegetables, washing faces and brushing teeth, as if their day all started from this river. In the tofu shop on the river bank, the villagers were waiting early, watching with satisfaction as the milky white soy milk filled the large enamel jar. In the old house of more than 600 years, three generations of people enjoyed family happiness. In the quiet afternoon, the water gurgled and the occasional cicadas chirped. Everything here is not flashy or gorgeous, but full of the flavor of fireworks.

It is a really beautiful place. There are fewer people than Xidi and Hongcun. It is an authentic ancient town in southern Anhui. It is very beautiful.

By BAXIA~~ |

It is worth a visit. It is larger than Hongcun and very close to Huangshan Taiping. There are many children from art academies and photographers collecting materials in the ancient town. It is a beautiful place.

Overall, it is worth a visit. There are shops and houses on both sides of the road. Although it is not very clean, it is still eye-catching. There is a small river in the middle of the road, and the gravel road makes the town more quaint. There are more than a dozen scenic spots. It is quite interesting to listen to the guide's introduction of the origin of the story. The most important thing is that the people here are still simple. As far as tourist attractions are concerned, the consumption is not too high compared with urban consumption.

Chazhi Ancient Town, I like this ancient town very much, with small bridges, flowing water, and houses. There are not many tourists, it is very nice.

A quiet little village, a warm little village, an ancient little village. You should stay there and experience it slowly, instead of wandering around and leaving. There are not too many people, and the accommodation conditions are also acceptable. As long as you don't eat stinky mandarin fish, it is basically quite suitable.

Chaji Ancient Village, a complex of ancient buildings of the Hui style from Ming and Qing dynasties, is very nice!

By Your Obsession |

My grandmother is from Chazhi. She went there several times when she was a child and has been there several times recently. It is a relatively low-key ancient town, but it is very charming. Many university art students come here to sketch, and many elderly people come here to paint.

I entered the village by accident, and found that I bought a ticket for nothing. No one checked the ticket when I entered. Even if there was a ticket check during the peak season, I could go in through the side road. The village is surrounded by the river and is very beautiful. The osmanthus rice wine is very delicious and can be mailed. There are many sketches in the village. The ancient houses are very beautiful, most of which are from the Ming and Qing dynasties.

As an unpopular tourist attraction, Chaji Ancient Town is definitely highly recommended. It is very cost-effective both in terms of scenery and cost. Moreover, Chaji is suitable for residential tourism. The scattered lights on the country roads at night are particularly poetic. If the inn you live in is close to the stream, it is particularly nostalgic to fall asleep with the sound of the stream as your pillow. The continuous back mountains are suitable for climbing during the day. If you go at a good time, the large tracts of rapeseed fields are eye-catching enough. If you go there in October, you can go to the back mountains to pick up ripe chestnuts, which are very sweet. The blessings bestowed by nature are truly grateful. This is a primitive village in the city. Every step you take is a painting in itself and you will benefit a lot.

A small village in Xuancheng, mainly farmhouses, most hotels are equipped with wireless network. The local rice wine is quite special. There is also barbecue in the village. After dinner, a group of friends went to a barbecue restaurant in the village to eat more. They laughed and drank beer and sang songs. It felt good. The air was really good in the morning. Walking in the small village, the whole person felt very comfortable. Personally, I think this place is more suitable for relaxation and rest, and there is nothing to entertain.

Chazhi is a good place to live and vacation. I must stay there for a few days every year. It feels like a paradise.

It's very flavorful. The old man who was traveling with me said that it has less commercial atmosphere than Hongcun.

Chaji, an ancient town in southern Anhui. The whole ancient town is relatively intact. Since it is not very famous, there are not many tourists. Unlike the exquisite atmosphere of Hongcun and Xidi, the old and broken scenes everywhere are precisely its beauty. The blue bricks and white walls, broken bricks and tiles all seem to silently tell the former glory.

The ancient town of Chazhi is quaint, with small bridges, flowing water and houses. Every family has its own unique skill, whether it is weaving, knitting, frying tea or drying herbs. They all go about their business quietly and there are relatively few tourists.

By Hastily |

👍Highly recommended! ! ! ! There are very few people, some people are sketching, it is not commercial, there are old ladies beating and washing clothes by the stream, and the air is fragrant

By Ling Fan |

I always feel that the river is the soul of an ancient town, and basically all the scenery in Chaji is also by the river. Chaji is a bit unlike a scenic spot. It is an ancient town and also a place where residents live. It feels that the atmosphere of life is more intense.

By I'm a little fool |

There is very little commercialization. There are few places to eat breakfast. There are only a few when you first enter the village. If you go in without eating, you will be at risk of starving to death. It is recommended to get up a little earlier in the morning. If the weather is good, you can see the ancient village shrouded in mist and rain. We were in a hurry at that time, and I felt that I didn't feel the beauty of it very well.

By summer2009 |

The commercial street arranged for tourists is located on the outskirts of the ancient village. The village is full of residents, students who come to sketch, and painters.

Going upstream along the stream and walking in the ancient village, everywhere is a painting.

By On the Road |

The small bridges and flowing water make people enjoy the countryside. The elderly grow vegetables and flowers to enjoy their old age, and the children fish and catch shrimps to get close to nature. Their happiness is beyond words and makes people envious.

Chazhi. Small bridges, gurgling water, rows of ancient houses, solemn ancestral halls, towering pagodas, elegant pavilions, ancient trees with extremely strong vitality, and leisurely and comfortable villagers, this ancient village exudes a simple and elegant atmosphere, and its unique charm immediately captures people's hearts.

By Stars in my heart |

The scenic area is very large. We kept walking and walking, enjoying the surprises brought by this place with curiosity and freshness, because there are beautiful scenery everywhere, and Chaji in the rain has a more charming atmosphere. Although the buildings here are old, they are engraved with traces of time everywhere. The people here are warm and simple. Although it is a scenic spot, they don’t drive up prices at all. They chat with tourists like acquaintances, and greet strangers, and they will not disrupt their original lifestyle because of foreign tourists.
