The essence of Jiuhua Mountain's scenic area is characterized by "magnificence, wonder, uniqueness and magic".
Also known as the top of Tiantai, it is 1,306 meters above sea level. Climbing up to the top of Tiantai, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Jiuhua.
Tiantai Temple, located on the top of the peak, is a must-visit place for tourists. Since ancient times, there is a saying that "if you don't go to Tiantai, it's the same as not coming."
It is recommended to go south from the back, passing Shuangtao Peak and Shiwang Peak. There is a spring on the way. The spring water is clear and drinkable.

2024.9.4 We visited the Jiuhua Mountain Tiantai Temple Scenic Area, climbed the mountain and looked far into the distance, feeling the charm of the Buddhist holy land
Visitors can climb up the mountain and stand here to overlook the entire view of Jiuhua Mountain.
20190522The weather is very good and we had a great time traveling
As famous as Huatai, the Tiantai Temple on the top of the mountain is a place for worshipping Buddha.
The weather was very good. It was a bit tiring to go up to Tiantai Temple. We also walked up the back mountain. Finally, we went to the opposite Shiwang Peak and looked back at Tiantai Temple. It was very beautiful.
There are more tourists here, and everyone comes up by cable car. Tiantai is the most popular scenic spot in Jiuhua Mountain.
Many people kowtowed to go up the steps in front of Tiantai Temple.
Take the Jiuhua Mountain internal tour bus from Huxingshan Station on Jiuhua Street to Fenghuangsong Station, where you can reach the Tiantai Cableway. You can also hike to the top of Tiantai Mountain from Fenghuangsong Station. Tiantai Scenic Area is a must-visit scenic area when visiting Jiuhua Mountain. The main attractions are: the top of Tiantai Mountain at an altitude of 1,306 meters, Tiantai Temple on Tiantai Peak, and the highest peak of Jiuhua Mountain at an altitude of 1,342 meters: Shiwang Peak. The ancient prayer platform for Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. The world's first thousand-year-old pine: Fenghuang Pine.
Tiantai Temple, the highest temple in Jiuhua Mountain, is located not far from the highest peak, Shiwang Peak. Viewing Tiantai Temple from Shiwang Peak is one of the best viewing points in Jiuhua Mountain.
The best place to enjoy the scenery when you come to Jiuhua Mountain is on the rooftop. It takes about 2.5 hours to climb from the bottom of the mountain to the top of the mountain (including rest time). After noon, the rooftop may be foggy. It is really beautiful, but because I spent too much time visiting the temple, although I can walk from the rooftop to the flower terrace, I also want to walk it all, but I was afraid that I would miss the last bus of the scenic area (16:30), so I had to give up reluctantly.
After arriving at the B&B and putting down the luggage, we prepared to climb the rooftop (it was 3:30 pm at this time). We walked to the scenic area shuttle bus station to explain the itinerary, but the kind staff advised us to go back: it would be too late to climb the rooftop at this time (at least 4 hours round trip), and the cable car and Tiantai Temple would also be closed at 5 o'clock.
We took a car to Phoenix Pine (it was 4:30 in the afternoon) and were about to climb the mountain. The villagers and staff members advised us not to climb with concern.
My companions could not resist the advice and the weather was cloudy, so they planned to turn back halfway. But I thought that since I had come here, I must reach the top. Ignoring my companions' strong advice and promising to return safely, I ran to the rooftop alone.
An hour later, I climbed up to the top of the rooftop, panting. There were many steps along the way, and there was basically no flat road. It was harder to climb than I thought.
When you go to Mount Jiuhua, you must go to the top of Tiantai. It takes about 2 hours to climb from Fenghuangsong to Tiantai. If you don’t want to climb the mountain, you can take the cable car. It is recommended to go to Shiwang Peak opposite Tiantai to see the whole view of Tiantai before going up to Tiantai.
The weather was fine on the first day of the Chinese New Year, but it was drizzling on the second day. I was a little scared of queuing in the city because it was crowded, but I was happy throughout the trip. It was the first time I took the elderly and children out for a trip, and I chose Jiuhua Mountain, which is close to home. The Baisui Palace is right next to the temple below. There was a man who cheated an old lady out of 100 yuan to buy 20 yuan in incense on the ground. The management should be arrested. They ruined the reputation of Jiuhua Holy Land. I don't understand why they messed around in this holy land. Aren't they afraid that Buddha will punish them? Next time I will bring my kids to climb the mountain in the off-season
I went with my friends to fulfill their vows. The trip was only two days. I didn't plan to go to the Tiantai, but because I am a natural scenery lover and love mountain climbing and hiking, when we were looking at the reclining Buddha from a distance on the side of the Baisui Palace, the tour guide said that the reclining Buddha over there was the Tiantai and we could go up there. The scenery was very good. I planted a seed in my heart. On the way back, I persuaded the tour guide, driver and friends to go to the Tiantai early the next morning. The cable car up and down, the plank road, go early, it's very beautiful, run on the plank road, and look into the distance, it couldn't be more beautiful.
The entrance fee in winter (off-season) is 140 yuan, and the customer service center sells tourist bus tickets for going up and down the mountain. There is a cable car to the bottom of the rooftop, and it takes another half an hour to reach the top. You can also hike directly, the whole journey is about 30 kilometers through Fenghuangsong and Jiuhua Town, and it takes about three hours. The Flesh Hall is at the foot of the mountain, and the Great Hall is on the top of the mountain. There is a fork in the road to the Huatai Scenic Area on the way up.
On November 15, Jiuhua Mountain implemented the off-season price of 140 yuan. I drove to Jiuhua Mountain by myself. Before going up the mountain, I contacted the innkeeper's wife to arrange the room and parking space. I arrived at the inn on Jiuhua Street at 3 pm. The parking was not on the roadside, but in the parking lot of a hotel. It was parked from 3 pm on Thursday to 12 noon on Saturday. During this time, I listened to the proprietress's advice not to go to the high-speed train. When I came out, I only charged 40 yuan. If you drive past Mogan Mountain on the way up the mountain, there will be no problem at all. It is much easier to drive than Mogan Mountain. On Thursday afternoon, I went to Gion Temple first, and then worshiped along Jiuhua Street all the way to the Moon Body Hall. On Friday morning, I took a bus from Huxingshan Station for 5 yuan per person to Tiantai Cable Car Station, which is Fenghuangsong Station. If you drive there by yourself, you will have to pay an additional 15 yuan for parking. We started climbing the mountain at 8 o'clock, going up from the Minyuan Nunnery Group, and arrived at Tiantai Temple at around 11:30 (it rained heavily and stopped for a while). I personally feel that it is better to walk up or down the mountain to Tiantai, otherwise you will miss many temples and scenery. There is a vegetarian meal at Tiantai Temple for 20 yuan per person. Then from Tiantai Temple to Shiwang Peak, it's a pity that there is nothing to see due to the fog. We returned to the Baijingtai and took the cable car down the mountain. On Saturday, we went up the mountain from the mountain climbing road next to Qiyuan Temple to Baisui Palace, and then went down the mountain from the Baisui Palace cable car to Min Gong Temple. In this way, we didn't go back. It took 40 minutes to go up the mountain and half an hour to go down the mountain. There was no need to take the ground rail. The weather was bad, and I didn't want to go to the flower terrace. I checked out at 12 o'clock and returned to Shanghai. The weather was bad for 3 days and 2 nights in Jiuhua Mountain, so I didn't see any good scenery. There were many temples, but they gave people a very utilitarian feeling. At the door of every temple I went to, there were masters shouting for you to do good deeds. If you gave less than 10 or 20 yuan, they would not look at you. Hey...
Tiantai is the most beautiful and sacred scenic spot in Jiuhua Mountain. It is definitely not to be missed. It is not recommended to take the cable car because the most sacred scene is when you climb halfway up the mountain. Looking up at Tiantai at this time, it is as ethereal as the fairy palace of Qiongyao. I was shocked and speechless at the time. It may be the most exciting time of my travel so far. The best season is winter after the snow, when the blue sky and light clouds surround Tiantai Temple, just like the flash of Buddha's light.
After going up by the cable car, I found that I could also go up the mountain. I could take a small loop, up and down, and when I reached the top of the rooftop, I found that there was a master who did not take the usual path and walked on the road on the side. The scenery was very nice.
I can’t see the pictures I uploaded, and now I can’t delete and resend them. What the hell is this?
I donated some money for incense and temple building, not much, just a token of my appreciation.
There are enough people who have written about it, so I will focus on writing down my thoughts here:
Try to stay in Jiuhua Street. Strolling around Jiuhua Street at night is fun even though all the temples are closed.
If you have enough energy to climb up the mountain, try to climb up. Firstly, it will not hurt your knees as much as going down the mountain. Secondly, after a hard walk, you will feel excited when you reach the top and see the beautiful scenery below the mountain. It is indeed less fun to take the cable car and follow the large group in a hurry, but it is more suitable for people with poor physical fitness.
We took the cable car up the mountain to the Tiantai Scenic Area, where the scenery was beautiful.
This is a must-visit scenic spot in Jiuhua Mountain, with the highest altitude and beautiful scenery.
Jiuhua Mountain is the highest mountain, you must climb to the top to see the most beautiful scenery
It turns out that if there is fog on the mountain, there is no fog at the foot of the mountain. If there is no fog on the mountain, there is fog at the foot of the mountain. The day I went to Jiuhua Mountain, there was extremely thick fog at the foot of the mountain. When I reached the top of the mountain, there was really no fog. Looking down, there was a sea of clouds.
Tiantai Temple is located at the top of Tiantai Peak, also known as the Great Tiantai, with an altitude of 1,306 meters. It is the highest temple in Jiuhua Mountain. Tourists and pilgrims respect Tiantai Temple as the top of Jiuhua Mountain and call it the "Middle Heaven World". Therefore, there is a saying that if you come to Jiuhua Mountain, "If you don't go to Tiantai, it's a waste of time."
To get to Tiantai Temple from Jiuhua Street Scenic Area (which is also the gathering place of hotels in the mountains), you need to first drive 6.5km to Fenghuangsong Tiantai Cableway Station, then take the cableway and climb 1,500 steps to reach the mountain.
Going up once is really tiring for people with weak bodies. You have to crawl to the end.
And a bit steep.
The scenery is quite nice. The mountains and forests stretch out.
Jiuhuashan Tiantai Scenic Area's main scenic spot, Jixiang Temple, is a short walk along the stone path from Minyuan Scenic Area to Huiju Temple. There are many people who go to the temple on the top of the mountain to burn incense.
For my husband’s birthday, I specially chose this day to go to the highest rooftop in Jiuhua Mountain to make a wish. It was beyond my expectations. We took the cable car up and climbed more than 900 steps. I was tired but happy!
After getting off the ropeway, there are still long steps to climb. The scenery on the mountain is not very outstanding. As one of the four famous Buddhist mountains, if you are interested in Buddhism, you may find it more interesting.
We walked all the way from Phoenix Pine to Tiantai... We had to go into the temples along the way. We started at 7 am and arrived at Tiantai at 10:30 am. Some people would choose the ropeway. If you have enough energy, it is recommended to walk on the stairs. The feeling is still different.
The scenery on the way up was only average. I was very disappointed with the Tiantai. Fortunately, my adventurous character in my genes made me walk to the back mountain of Tiantai alone. I caught up with two fellow Northeasterners halfway. What a coincidence! Since it was fate, the three of us went to Huatai together and walked down the mountain. There were only three of us on the way. At this time, I realized that the most beautiful scenery of Jiuhua Mountain was in Huatai, in the back mountain, the front mountain, the Buddhist temple and Tiantai. There was really nothing to say or see. In the end, there was no road to go down the mountain. It was all forest paths. It was almost dark when I walked down the mountain. It was worth the trip to walk back to Fenghuangsong. I can only say that everyone who goes to Jiuhua Mountain must walk from Tiantai to Huatai to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way, otherwise it is a waste of Jiuhua Mountain. Don’t brag about taking the cable car to Tiantai and then walking down, or climbing to Tiantai and then coming down, etc. It’s a pity in life that you didn’t go from Tiantai to Huatai!
After climbing more than 200 steps, the scenery is great and refreshing.
The main attraction of Tiantai Scenic Area is Tiantai Temple, followed by Baijingtai Temple and Feilai Guanyin Peak, which are all must-visit attractions when visiting Jiuhua Mountain.
We took the cable car up the mountain, and after getting off the cable car, we had to climb for about half an hour. Because it was raining, we didn't see the Monkey King, and the scenery was hazy and unclear, but under the influence of the fog, the sea of clouds looked particularly beautiful. The mountain is very high, and it takes 8 minutes to take the cable car up. People with poor physical strength are not recommended to climb the mountain, because we saw a tourist having a heart attack when we were going down the mountain. But according to the locals, the path from the rooftop to the flower terrace is very beautiful, and we planned to walk this distance at the time, but unfortunately the weather was not good, so we had to give up with regret.
Tiantai is the end point of the Jiuhua Mountain religious tour. It is the highest place except the Ten Kings Peak and the most popular place for incense. The night view always has a special flavor.
The Tiantai scenic area has the tallest temple, Tiantai Temple, which is very popular. When we went there, the stairs were full of people, moving up step by step, and at the same time, people going down were also on the same stairs. It was really dangerous, but it is still worth going. Standing on the top of Tiantai Peak, you can have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Jiuhua Mountain. This is the fun of mountain climbing.
It's OK. The photos taken on that day after the rain are very beautiful. The mountain itself is far inferior to Huangshan, but the feature is that there are many temples.
When we arrived at Fenghuangsong Station of Tiantai Cableway, it was already "cloudy and windy near noon", and there were not many tourists taking the cable car up the mountain, so we got on the cable car without waiting for long. When we passed the waiting corridor, we saw some photos of central leaders who had visited here hanging on the wall, including a photo of Comrade Lao Jiang in front of Jiuhuashan Cableway Station.
There are 6 groups of cable cars going to Tiantai, each group has 3 cars, each car can carry 6 people, and only 18 people can go up at a time. The cableway is 1,400 meters long and spans the two major scenic spots of Minyuan and Tiantai.
As the cable car rises slowly, you can see the surrounding peaks, the lush green scenery of Tiantai and Min Garden.
The bamboo forest undulates along the mountain, like the rippling waves of the sea; the houses in the forest appear and disappear from time to time, like reefs in the sea. The ancient mountain climbing road can be vaguely seen, narrow and steep, winding through the mountains, making people respect the pious people in ancient times. Later, we experienced it ourselves when we went down the mountain. The Guanyin Temple on Tiantai Peak (Yuantong Temple, Guanyin Peak Upper Courtyard), the ancient scripture worship platform, and Tiantai Temple also fell into sight one after another.
A Buddhist holy place. Comrades, be careful when you go there, there are scammers all along the way, and if you are not careful, you will lose thousands to tens of thousands of yuan.
This is the highest scenic spot in Jiuhua Mountain. Many people go up and down by cable car. This will ignore some of the scenery on the way. It is recommended to walk up the mountain and take the cable car down the mountain.
It is called Tiantai Peak, with an altitude of 1,306 meters. Among the 99 peaks of Jiuhua Mountain, it is only lower than Shiwang Peak and Qixian Peak. The Dizang Temple located on the top of the peak was named Tiantai Temple in ancient times.
It was not as difficult to climb as most people say. We reached the top in just 3 hours. The rooftop looked even more beautiful because of the smoke.
There is no such thing as beautiful or not. Jiuhua Mountain is a place for praying. There are temples everywhere, but the one in Jiuhua Mountain is more effective and more famous. After buying the ticket from the scenic area of Jiuhua Mountain, you have to take a scenic area transportation from the bottom of the mountain to the inside of the mountain, but it is not finished yet. It is just convenient for accommodation first, and then you start climbing the mountain. To go to Tiantai Scenic Area and the Palace of the Reincarnation of the Flesh, you have to climb a long mountain road and steps. Generally, two days are arranged to visit Jiuhua Mountain, the first day is the first half of the mountain, the second day is the back half of the mountain, and you can stroll around the small streets inside at night.
It was so big that I didn't even know where I had been. I just met a neighbor I hadn't seen for more than ten years at the top. Strangely, I met a friend from Ningxia at the highest point of Ta'er Temple in Qinghai. The temple itself is a sacred place.
You must climb up to the rooftop... The children, old women, and ascetic monks you meet along the way are full of pious positive energy.
It is worth a visit. The temple is located on the top of the mountain. From there you can overlook the ancient scripture platform and the mountain view from afar. It is very spectacular.
Very good place, you must walk up the mountain, you can take the cable car down the mountain. The scenery is very good, I personally like drizzle and cloudy weather. There is basically no good scenery under the sun.
This is the most popular temple in Jiuhua Mountain. It is visited by many people all year round and often hosts religious ceremonies.
Is the rooftop foreshadowing the recent stock market situation?
Tiantai has infinite scenery and majestic momentum, worthy of being a famous mountain.
If you don't visit Tiantai Temple in Jiuhua Mountain, you'll have wasted your time. Tiantai Temple in Jiuhua Mountain is built on the mountain and is worth a visit.
I was exhausted after climbing to the rooftop. It was cloudy when I arrived. It was a little cold. The view was pretty good.
Finally, we are here. Look, this is the rooftop. On the right is the main hall, and on the left is the Ksitigarbha Cave. Kaka is interested in "non-human world". What kind of state of mind did they have when they mentioned these three words?
At 4:30 in the morning, we woke up to a loud noise. It turned out to be a group of tourists who came to the big terrace to watch the sunrise. It was really early. If you want to see the scenery, you have to get up early. I remember the first time Bihong and I camped at Changlao Peak in Danxia Mountain, many people came up early in the morning, about 3 o'clock in the morning to watch the sunrise. At 4:30, Changlao Peak was full of people.
There were also outdoor enthusiasts who were traveling by car camping with us in the parking lot. They turned on their headlights to illuminate the parking lot in the dark. Since the staff of Tiantai Mountain Scenic Area said that the tents had to be packed up at 6:30 in the morning, we packed our equipment before going up the mountain to watch the sunrise. When we opened the tent, we saw several stars, and they were very bright. Mincong took a picture of the starry sky in the early morning. We were lucky to see and take pictures of shooting stars.
Very good, the sun hasn't come out yet, just like when I was at the First Peak in Guangdong, the east was already bright and the sky was bright, but there was no sign of the sun.
Before the sun comes out, take some photos before sunrise. There is a deep abyss under the big terrace, and the scenery nearby is just like Zhangjiajie. I played on the big terrace for nearly an hour and a half, and I had enough fun. After watching the sunrise of the first peak and the sunrise of Tiantai Mountain, I feel that the sunrise of Tiantai Mountain is much more beautiful. I came to Mangshan just to watch the sunrise, and I did it this time, and I felt full of happiness.
It is said that this is Tiantai, but in fact this is the starting point of Tiantai, Fenghuangsong in Jiuhua Village. The folk customs here are simple and give you a sense of harmony and tranquility. The village is not big, and you can go to Tiantai Temple from here.
Tiantai Scenic Area is actually the back mountain of Jiuhua Mountain. It is a mountaineering route. You can hike up from Fenghuangsong Mountain. There are almost no flat roads. The whole route is pure ascending stone steps. It takes 3 hours to walk and consumes a lot of physical energy. You will pass Huiju Temple, Qunni Nunnery, Sutra Pavilion, Tianqiao Temple, Guanyin Peak, Sutra Worship Platform and many other famous temples in Jiuhua Mountain, and finally reach Jinding Tiantai Temple and Shiwang Peak. Water is sold along the way, but the higher you go, the more expensive it is. When you arrive at Tiantai Temple, water is 10 yuan per bottle.
Finally I had the vegetarian meal, 20 per person, eat until you are full, I ate two bowls, it was delicious:
Don’t exercise right after eating on the rooftop. Stand and rest for half an hour. Then you can go to the nearby narrow strip of sky to take a look:
There are large footprints of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva here. The guesthouse I stayed in was in the valley below. There are also places to stay on the top of the mountain, but the wind is strong and colder than here. The night view of Jiuhua Mountain is very beautiful, and you can see the Milky Way.
You can listen to the morning class at 5 o'clock in the morning. After eating porridge and rice, you can continue climbing to see Dapeng listening to the sutra. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the rooftop, where you can see the line of sky and the ancient cave of Dizang.
The morning after we arrived was still foggy, but we still took the cable car up the mountain. As we heard from everyone, we had to go to the rooftop. The wind was cold all the way, but we couldn't resist the enthusiasm of climbing over mountains and stairs. There were also various wild game on poles for sale along the way. The local wild fruits that we picked with great difficulty were also very magical, like gourds with fairy air, and we couldn't let them go.
The mountain escalator is locked with various locks. Some are rusty due to age, but the timeless love and faith engraved on them are eternal.
Just follow the crowd and walk aimlessly on the mountain. No guide is needed. Just follow your mood. Carry your camera with you. If you see something you like, just press the shutter. It will be a beautiful landscape painting. The sun is shining and you are in a good mood.
When I reached the highest point of the mountain, the view was suddenly clear and even the fog began to dissipate. The clouds were exposed like cotton candy. I could feel the softness with just one finger.
After getting off the cable car, walk a short distance to the Gubaijingtai, where there are sedan chairs to attract business. The prices are shockingly high, but the people who carry the sedan chairs are really hard-working and are simply selling their skills.
People burning incense. Actually, most converts don't burn incense, because the incense is already very popular. They will donate money, put some money in the merit box to support the Buddha, or give it to the master, and sign their names in the merit book. Ten or twenty yuan is fine, or one hundred or two hundred yuan is fine, there is no limit.
Tiantai Temple Hotel has staff, but provides vegetarian food. Dinner and breakfast are 60 yuan per person. Four-person room. Just in time for dinner. There are three men at the table next to us. A tall man told us that he was behind us and saw us staggering. He wanted to overtake us, but couldn't. He said that it was his companion's birthday, and he originally wanted to treat him to a meal, but ended up driving to the foot of the mountain to invite him to climb the mountain. "It's better to treat you to sweat than to treat you to a meal." I said. So I heard.
The rooms in Tiantai Temple Hotel don't have air conditioning, so we had to cover ourselves with two quilts at night. The two of us booked a four-bed room, hoping to live a simple life, but not everyone can do it. Shame on us.
Get up at 6 am and go to Tiantai Temple to burn incense.
I planned to stay at Tiantai at night, so I didn't book a hotel. But I was a little worried that I would have no place to stay after arriving at Tiantai. Fortunately, there were not many people going to Jiuhua Mountain that day, and even fewer people going to Tiantai in the afternoon. The people I met along the way were all going down the mountain, and I was the only one going up the mountain to Tiantai. When I arrived at Tiantai, it started to rain lightly, and the road was a bit slippery. I was even more worried at that time. Fortunately, I prepared a flashlight before going, thinking that if I couldn't reach Tiantai before dark, I could still use it to illuminate the road. Since I had never climbed such a steep mountain before, it was quite strenuous to climb, and my clothes on my upper body were all wet. I was afraid and rested at the same time, and finally arrived at Tiantai at around 6 o'clock. Fortunately, it was not dark yet. There was no one on the mountain, only me. After visiting the Ksitigarbha Cave, I went to the top of Tiantai and went straight to where I was staying. Then suddenly a dog blocked the door, which was a bit scary. An older sister came out and greeted me in, asking me if I had eaten. I answered no, and the elder sister told me that the rice was in the pot and the vegetables were in the kitchen. I had to do it myself and eat first, and then she would arrange for me to stay. By the way, the food and accommodation here are very cheap, dinner + breakfast + accommodation is 60 yuan in total. Although it is vegetarian, it is very good for me who is hungry. I ate 2 big bowls of rice immediately. After eating, I went to the place where I was staying. It was a 6-person room, and one person was already living there. During the chat, I learned that he came up by cable car at around 3 pm. He said that there were not many people today. There were only two of us in one room. Usually it was full, and sometimes the travel agency brought the group directly here. After a brief chat, I washed up and went to bed. By the way, let me explain that the accommodation conditions are relatively simple, there is no hot water for bathing, and the water for washing needs to be collected in the kitchen. There are no cups and toiletries, so you need to bring your own. If you need to drink water, use the big bowl for eating.
I got up at 6 o'clock in the morning, washed up, and went to Tiantai Temple to burn incense. There were few people at that time, just me and the people I lived with last night. After burning incense, we went to eat. There were porridge and steamed buns. The pickles were pickled radish and pickled beans. I recommend the pickled radish, which is especially delicious. I asked the cooking sister, and she said she pickled it herself. It is worth mentioning that it was still misty when I went to the rooftop last night, but the sunshine was very good in the morning!!!
I woke up at 4 o'clock the next morning, washed up, and headed to the top of the Tiantai Mountain. Because it was the birthday of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and it was also the last day of the Water and Land Dharma Assembly, sutras had already been chanted on the Tiantai Mountain since 3 o'clock, and believers were already standing outside the temple.
The route to the rooftop takes about 4 hours. Starting from Lao Wang's house, walk along the widest road. There will be some forks in the road, but don't worry about them. Just walk along the widest main road. After about 50 minutes, you will reach a single-plank bridge made of three mountain woods. After crossing the bridge, you will enter the mountain. If you walk a short distance along the small trampled path, you can see a small "Tudigong Temple", which is also very small. The following photos will show it. If you continue walking, you will see several houses. Go around the houses and walk to the right to reach the mountain road to the rooftop. There will be no big problems next, and you can walk all the way to the rooftop.
The sun has officially risen, and it's time for me to have breakfast. There is a dining area on the top of the rooftop. It seems that believers can dine for free, but it's 15 yuan per person for others. Because today is special, there are too many people. There is only one ingredient, salted cowpea, which is really salty. I drank three big bowls of porridge and ate two bites of salted cowpea. Never mind, you can't be too picky in the mountains, just eat until you are full.
After arriving at Tiantai Temple and paying respects to the Buddha and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, I asked about accommodation. Generally, unless it is a Buddhist anniversary, few people stay on the mountain, so there is no need to book in advance. It is still in time to book on the mountain. The accommodation at Tiantai Temple is 75 yuan per person, multi-person room, no standard room, dinner and breakfast included, if you want to eat lunch, you have to pay separately. Because I saw on the Internet before coming that Zhenru Temple, not far from Tiantai Temple, is very quiet, so I went directly to Zhenru Temple on the back mountain after leaving Tiantai Temple, and it took about a few minutes to arrive.
Dizang Well. We have almost finished drinking the water. On the way, we met a big piece of ice with our friends. It was very clean, haha. We ate it and it tasted good. We were not thirsty at once. We filled up the water cups. It was very cool and clean. Seeing the Dizang Well means that we are not far from Tiantai Peak. After climbing for so long, we can finally eat. The vegetarian meal at Tiantai Temple costs 20 yuan. Don’t waste it. Originally, I told my friends on the way to the mountain that we should have at least three bowls of rice, but one bowl of rice was enough. We ate three bowls of vegetables, haha. Eat more vegetables, tomatoes, cauliflower, cabbage, tofu, carrots, winter melon.
The bean products are quite rich.
You can take a cable car up there and watch the sunset, which is very beautiful. Catch the sunlight shining on the cliff, reflecting the shape of the pyramid, which is a miracle.
When you climb up to the top of the rooftop panting, the scenery in front of you will open your mind and relieve your fatigue. The surrounding mountains are crouching, and Jiuhua Street is only as big as a palm when you look at it from a distance.
Going to Jiuhua Mountain is very difficult. The winding mountain road, cable car and ladder alone make your legs and feet numb. The mountain area is huge.
The essence of Jiuhua Mountain is its steep peaks, dangerous cliffs and rugged rocks, which are characterized by being "majestic, strange, unique and magical".
It is worthy of being called the top of the rooftop
Tiantai Scenic Area is a high mountain tourist area in Jiuhua Mountain. It is a traditional scenic spot with steep peaks, dangerous cliffs and rugged rocks. It is characterized by "majestic, strange, unique and magical". The top of the mountain is Tiantai Peak, with an altitude of 1,306 meters.
Tiantai Temple is located on the top of the peak. It is the highest temple in Jiuhua Mountain and the place where people worship the "holy site" of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. Therefore, Tiantai Temple is often regarded as the symbol of the main peak of Jiuhua Mountain. This is a must-see for tourists visiting Jiuhua Mountain. Since ancient times, there is a saying that "If you don't go to Tiantai, you haven't come yet."
Although we didn't have good weather when we came, as the place was surrounded by clouds and mist, we could still enjoy the beautiful scenery.
