Langya Mountain Scenic Area

Langya Mountain is the first scenic spot in eastern Anhui. It is a national key scenic spot, a national forest park, a national AAAAA-level tourist area, a national key cultural relic protection unit, one of China's 24 cultural mountains, one of China's 100 famous mountains, and one of Anhui Province's five major scenic spots. The scenic area covers an area of about 240 square kilometers, with a forest coverage rate of 90%. It is rich in animal and plant resources, with 54 bird species protected by the Sino-Japanese Migratory Bird Protection Agreement; the unique Langya elm and Zuiweng elm are rare tree species in China, and the most intact natural secondary forest is distributed in the limestone area of the transition zone from northern subtropical to warm temperate zone in my country.
The magnificent and deep Langya Mountain has always enjoyed the reputation of "no other mountain after Penglai". The scenic area has 9981 peaks of various sizes, including Motuo Ridge, Fenghuang Mountain, Dafeng Mountain, Xiaofeng Mountain, Langya Mountain, etc. The main landscapes are lush forests, secluded caves, blue lakes, flowing springs, famous pavilions, and ancient temples. The mountains are deep and secluded, with Langya Creek, Glass Swamp, and Qushui Liushang flowing; mountain springs such as Rangquan, Zhuoyingquan, Ziweiquan are scattered in the mountains; Guiyun Cave, Xuehong Cave, Chongxi Cave, Taoyuan and other caves are magical. There are also rich cultural landscapes in the mountains, and the culture of Langya Mountain has a long history. Since the Tang and Song Dynasties, countless literary masters such as Li Youqing, Wei Yingwu, Ouyang Xiu, Xin Qiji, Wang Anshi, Mei Yaochen, Song Lian, Wen Zhengming, Zeng Gong, and Xue Shiyu, as well as dignitaries have developed mountains and rivers, built temples and pavilions, and composed poems for it, leaving behind a large amount of outstanding cultural heritage.

1. It is short and compact. Although it doesn't feel very southern, it is more like Jiangnan for us northerners. 2. The environment is clean and tidy. 3. Insufficient services: First, there are not many service signs, which makes it difficult to find the place. Second, there are insufficient emergency measures to deal with the increase in tourists, and the staff lacks experience.

★Langya Mountain, with a main peak of 317 meters above sea level, was named after the title of the Eastern Jin Dynasty Emperor Sima Rui. Since the Tang Dynasty, it has been a famous historical scenic spot in eastern Anhui. Later, it became famous because of Ouyang Xiu's "The Drunken Pavilion". In addition, because the "Drunken Pavilion" was too high-profile, it overshadowed another scenic spot at the foot of Langya Mountain: Fengle Pavilion, which is the "sister" pavilion of the Drunken Pavilion. Ouyang Xiu also wrote "Fengle Pavilion" for it, and Su Shi also wrote a stele for it. The stele is still standing in the site of Fengle Pavilion.

★Langya Mountain, since the Tang Dynasty, has been the site of a large number of works handed down about it by many historical celebrities, including Li Youqing, Wei Yingwu, Liu Sui, Ouyang Xiu, Su Shi, Zeng Gong, Wang Anshi, Xin Qiji, Song Lian, Wen Zhengming, etc. It is indeed one of the famous cultural mountains in China.

As time goes by and history changes, the ancient buildings in Langya Mountain have gone through many vicissitudes and many of them have been damaged. Most of the ancient buildings that remain today were built or restored during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty and the early years of the Republic of China.

Langya Mountain is named after the Drunken Pavilion, and the Drunken Pavilion is named after the Drunken Pavilion. When I was young, I loved Yongshu's articles and poems. Now in late autumn, I climbed the mountain, visited the pavilion, and reminisced about the past. The layers of forests were dyed with colors, the wild fragrance was faint, the water was clear and the rocks were exposed, and the birds were singing. I felt the joy of the mountains and rivers.

All around Chu are mountains. The southwest peaks are particularly beautiful with forests and valleys. The one that looks lush and deep is Langya. After walking six or seven miles in the mountains, I gradually heard the sound of water flowing out between the two peaks. It is the brewing spring. After turning around the peaks, there is a pavilion overlooking the spring. It is the Drunken Old Man Pavilion. Who built the pavilion? It is the monk Zhixian in the mountain. Who named it? The prefect himself. The prefect and his guests came here to drink. He got drunk after drinking a little, and he was the oldest, so he called himself the Drunken Old Man. The Drunken Old Man's intention is not in the wine, but in the mountains and rivers. The joy of mountains and rivers is obtained from the heart and expressed in wine. I have forgotten it a long time ago and have handed it over to the Chinese teacher. The scenic spot is not big. I walked a long way and it was flat. At the entrance of Tongleyuan, I crossed the small bridge. The path was no longer shown on the map, only a few small pavilions were marked. I didn't want to go back, so I accidentally completed a mountain climbing trip. The quiet mountain road with a width of one person added a lot of fun to this trip. Although it is a small path, it is also a paved road. It is just that it is not shown on the map. Basically no one comes here. I only met one or two local climbers. It is a bit cold on the mountain in this season. The leaves have not yet turned yellow, but you can still feel the gentle breeze of nature. I walked down the mountain through the East Gate. I couldn't walk anymore, so I decided to stay and go back the next day. Unexpectedly, the hotel environment is great. It should be a supporting hotel of the scenic area. It is antique and has pavilions and towers. There is a lake in front of the door, a mountain behind, and a pavilion in the yard. I like it very much. The colors of the restaurant are also very interesting. It turned out to be another unexpected surprise by accident.

This is a "national scenic spot" with many cultural and humanistic attractions. Its core attraction is the "Drunken Pavilion", where you can remember the "great achievements and style" of Ouyang Xiu, one of the "Eight Great Masters of Tang and Song Dynasties". The natural scenery can only be said to be so-so.

Langya Mountain is not very high, and the tourist intensity is medium to low. An adult can complete the tour in about 3 hours.

During the Lunar New Year, tickets to Mount Langya are free. Walking in the rain in Mount Langya is a special experience. Every step in Mount Langya is a different scene. You can truly feel that "the drunkard's interest is not in the wine, but in the mountains and rivers."

The Drunken Pavilion in Langya Mountain is the first of the four famous pavilions in China. It costs 30 yuan to take a taxi from Chuzhou Station to the scenic spot. The ticket price for the scenic spot in the peak season is 90 yuan. Chuzhou citizens and students in Chuzhou seem to only need to buy 10 yuan tickets at various small scenic spots (free of entrance tickets). Tickets need to be checked at each small scenic spot. Langya Temple is a famous temple in Jiangbei, and the water quality of Shenxiu Lake is also good, which looks green. It is mainly because Ouyang Xiu's "Drunken Pavilion" is famous, and the Drunken Pavilion is just an antique restoration. There is nothing special. The scenic spot is close to the main campus of Chuzhou College, and the air is particularly good.

I am from Chuzhou. Langya Mountain is really great. You must come and take a look. It is free for locals and local college students.

I went to see the snow scene yesterday.

By China-TravelNote users |

We went there on New Year's Day, which was probably not the right time. The scenery was average. If it were summer, the scenery would be good. It can be said that Ouyang Xiu's articles made this place famous. Recommendation index: four stars.

Langya Mountain is known as "the only mountain after Penglai" and "the pearl of eastern Anhui". It is known as "the natural medicine garden" because of its rich variety of Chinese medicinal materials. There are many scenic spots in the area, such as Zuiweng Pavilion, Langya Pavilion, Chengxi Lake, Gushan Lake, and Hugu.

Langya Mountain is famous for its beautiful landscapes and is known as "the best mountain after Penglai". It is also famous for Ouyang Xiu's "The Pavilion of the Drunken Old Man". The hit TV series "Langya Bang" in 2015 attracted countless tourists to Langya Mountain to explore. The more famous attractions include the Pavilion of the Drunken Old Man, Langya Temple, Nantianmen and Shenxiu Lake. It takes about 3 hours to play around. It was late autumn when I went there, and the scenery on the mountain was not particularly good, but there were fewer tourists and I could stroll around leisurely. However, it is still recommended to come in spring and summer to see the beautiful scenery of Langya.

Langya Mountain is located in the southwest suburbs of Chuzhou City. The mountain is not high but elegant, and the water is not deep but clear. The mountain got its name because in 280 AD, Sima Yi, the Langya King of the Western Jin Dynasty, led the army to attack Wu and stationed on the mountain. In 307, his grandson Sima Rui, who was still the Langya King at the time, passed through here to Jianye (Nanjing) to establish the Eastern Jin Dynasty. The TV series "Langya Bang" has nothing to do with the five warriors of Langya Mountain. What really made Langya Mountain famous was that Ouyang Xiu, the governor of Chuzhou in the Northern Song Dynasty, visited Langya Mountain many times and wrote the famous "Drunken Pavilion". Langya Mountain consists of Yefang Garden, Langya Tower, Drunk Pavilion, Tongleyuan, Shenxiu Lake, Langya Temple, Nantianmen and other scenic spots. Except for the Nantianmen scenic spot, the main attractions are at the foot of the mountain or halfway up the mountain. Among them, Drunk Pavilion and Langya Mountain Cliff Carvings are national protected units. Zuiweng Pavilion is one of the four famous pavilions in China. It now preserves inscriptions from the Song, Ming and Qing dynasties and late Qing Dynasty buildings. Niangquan and Rangquan are also beautiful places. There are lush forests and bamboos here, a unique tree species Langya elm, and countless flowers and trees to appreciate. The most worth mentioning is the nearly 1,000-year-old plum tree planted by Ouyang Xiu in front of the Ancient Plum Pavilion in Zuiweng Pavilion Scenic Area, which is the treasure of Langya Mountain. When I went there, the Langya Temple Scenic Area was under maintenance and was not open. It should be noted that there is no restaurant here, no hot meals can be bought, and only instant noodles, dried tea, ham sausage, bread and other dry food can be bought in several small shops. It takes most people about 4 hours to visit all the main attractions. The ticket here is 95 yuan, and the tour guide certificate is free to enter. The transportation bus in the scenic area costs 8 yuan, and the tour guide certificate is not free without a group. This is the most worthwhile attraction in Chuzhou City. If you take the high-speed rail from Hefei or west of Hefei to here, it is best to get to Quanjiao Station first, and then share a car to Chuzhou. Or you can take bus No. 105 to downtown Chuzhou and then transfer to the city's public transportation. Langya Mountain is known as the first scenic spot in eastern Anhui. Currently, Chuzhou City is working to build it into the first 5A scenic spot in Chuzhou.

By Don't forget peace of mind |

The ticket is only 10 yuan if you use a Chuzhou ID card or Chuzhou College student ID card.

By ZGar |

I went there for the Drunken Old Man Pavilion, the scenery is pretty good.

By White cement |

There are mountains all around Chu, and the one that is lush and deep is Langya! First, it has nothing to do with the five heroes of Langya Mountain, as they did not jump from here. Second, it has nothing to do with Langya List. If we want to take the Langya List for advertising now, it is like the ancestors relying on the name of their grandson to make a living.

By China-TravelNote users |

It is a famous mountain with rich culture and abundant natural beauty. It is not to mention the great writers such as Ouyang Xiu, Su Dongpo, Xin Qiji, Wang Yangming, Zeng Gong, Song Lian, Wen Zhengming, Zhao Mengfu, etc. Sima Rui, the founding emperor of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Zhao Kuangyin, the first emperor of the Song Dynasty, and Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, all started their careers here. In the Republic of China, politicians such as Sun Yat-sen, Chiang Kai-shek, and Sun Ke came here to leave their calligraphy. Even Xu Beihong and Ding Ling came here from Nanjing to play during the Cold Food Festival in 1936. They left articles and paintings...

It is recommended to find a tour guide... Otherwise you will know nothing...

It is not much different from the Purple Mountain in Nanjing, but the ticket costs 80 yuan online, and the real ticket seems to be more than 100 yuan. If it weren't for the Drunken Pavilion, I would never go there on purpose.

By Joyce Sunny Day |

Totally like it. Although the ticket is quite expensive, the weather is good and the scenery is beautiful. I climbed to the commanding heights. Although the pavilion above the Nantianmen has not been renovated, it feels very old.

By Socat's Castle in the Sky |

I went there for an outing with my friends during the summer vacation. I was still a student at the time, and I could get half-price tickets by using my student ID!

By * Sula' |

Tickets are 95 yuan in the peak season and 80 yuan in the off-season. There is a sightseeing bus inside, 8 yuan one way. It is recommended to walk up and then take it back. The scenery on the road is still very good. When I went there, bamboo shoots were sprouting. Some trails were blocked.

I went there alone. I took bus No. 6 from Chuzhou Station and then took a Didi, which was cheaper. If I went back, I could take bus No. 11 and then bus No. 18 to get to the high-speed railway station.

You can only see the scenery. It is better to go in spring because there are flowers. The tickets are expensive. The environment is very good and pollution-free!

By The mountains remain |

I went to Langya Mountain four times and Xijian Lake. I took a lot of photos.

Located in the northwest of Chuzhou City, there are scenic spots such as Zuiweng Pavilion, Shenxiu Lake, and Zuiweng Pond.

Mount Langya is located in Chuzhou City, Anhui Province. Ouyang Xiu's famous Drunken Pavilion is on Mount Langya, and the scenery is beautiful and well-deserved! Mount Langya is also one of the first batch of 4A-level scenic spots in the country. Tickets are priced in off-season and peak season, 80 yuan in off-season and 95 yuan in peak season.

Crows cry at night. Visiting Mount Langya

The prefect was alone in Langya, cherishing his talent.

Green trees, pavilions and cypresses reflect the red flowers.

It is hard to wake up from drunkenness, for whom is the dream so chaotic?

The intention is the thousand-year-old mountains and rivers, wine and her.

I would like to use a poem to express my feelings about visiting Mount Langya in Chuzhou during the National Day in 2015. I climbed Mount Langya for the first time in 1990 and climbed all the way to Nantianmen. In a blink of an eye, 25 years have passed. The scenery of Mount Langya has become more and more beautiful, there are more and more buildings in Mount Langya, and there are more and more tourists. However, the atmosphere for viewing the scenery has changed. I still prefer to sit alone in the Drunken Pavilion with a pot of wine in a quiet time to enjoy Ouyang Xiu's drunkard's state of mind.

No tickets are required for the back mountain, just enter from the south area of Chuzhou University!

At the end of the year, I went on a business trip to Chuzhou, and climbed Langya in my spare time.

Langya Mountain is known because Ouyang Xiu named it and wrote "Drunkard Pavilion". Drunkard Pavilion is the first of the four famous pavilions. There are many plants in the entire Langya Mountain Forest Park, so the environment here is very elegant and the air is fresh. Since ancient times, countless literary masters have left cultural traces here, and the ruins have been preserved to this day. In addition to the Drunkard Pavilion, there is also Shenxiu Lake, the lake water is very clear and the scenery is beautiful. Many people usually come here to fish. The stone roads in the scenic area are all left over from the Song Dynasty. It is very quiet here and very suitable for leisure and rest. It is very convenient to go from Chuzhou City, because Chuzhou City itself is not big, and it is very cheap to take a taxi. It only costs 5 yuan from the train station. There is a bus in the square in front of Chuzhou Railway Station that goes directly to Langya Mountain Scenic Area, which can be reached in 10 minutes. The bus can drive all the way to the parking lot of Drunkard Pavilion. About the tickets here: the window price ticket is 115 yuan, and the online booking discount ticket price is 85 yuan. It is recommended that if you are a local citizen of Chuzhou, you can apply for a citizen card, which is much more affordable.

Absolutely picturesque scenery, a sacred place for retirement with mountains and water...

Langya Mountain: I personally recommend it to friends who like slow travel. There are not many people there and it is quite famous. You can take a close look at the inscriptions and try to figure out Ouyang Xiu's life. You can just take a leisurely walk. That's how I like it. Don't let travel hold you back and make it like a war. Rushing to visit tourist spots is not worth it.

I went to Langya Mountain specifically because of the Drunken Pavilion and because there were fewer people, making it more suitable for a relaxing trip.

Chu is surrounded by mountains, and the peaks in the southwest are still beautiful with forests and valleys. The one that looks luxuriant and deep is Langya!
