Tachuan Village is located on the way from Hongcun, a famous tourist attraction in Yixian Peach Blossom Spring, to Mukeng Bamboo Sea. In the eyes of photography enthusiasts, there are three major places to enjoy autumn colors in China, namely Tachuan in southern Anhui, Xiangshan in Beijing, and Jiuzhaigou in Sichuan. Although Tachuan is not as famous as Hongcun, the autumn colors of Tachuan are indeed a popular destination in the photography community.
Tachuan Village, also known as Tashang. Pass through the ancient woods at the entrance of Tachuan Village, and climb up the stone steps along the clear stream to enter the village. The morning of Tachuan is the most beautiful, with a thin mist covering the trees, and the farmhouses looming. In autumn, the leaves on the mountain are colorful, from yellow, light red to fiery red, with rich layers. In addition, April, which many people ignore, is also a beautiful paradise of colors when azaleas and rape flowers bloom. The white walls and black tiles of the Hui-style buildings are hidden among them, which is beautiful.

Tachuan Village, also known as Tashang, belongs to Hongcun Town, Yi County. It is located on the way from Hongcun, a famous tourist attraction in Yi County's Peach Blossom Spring, to Mukeng Bamboo Sea. It is a unique mountain village among the many beautiful and rich natural villages in Yi County's Little Peach Blossom Spring. It has wonderful landscapes such as "the stream around the front house", especially the autumn colors of Tachuan, which is the base for many painters and photographers to create.
100 meters before the entrance of the scenic area, there is a sign on the right side of the road, leading to the first viewing platform - the Tea Mountain Viewing Platform. Here you can take pictures of a large area of fields, villages and forests.
Since the Tachuan Scenic Area is a village, it actually has many entrances and exits, but there are people strictly checking tickets, including in the fields. The ticket price for the scenic area is 40 yuan. It is recommended to buy discounted tickets online in advance or ask the homestay owner. Usually they have ticket discount channels and there are also special people to deliver tickets. We waited for someone to deliver the tickets and entered from the main entrance of the scenic area.
Although I saw the pastoral autumn scenery at the first observation deck, it was only after entering the scenic area that I truly appreciated the beauty of the layers of autumn colors in Takawa, with the autumn leaves presenting magical colors of red, green, yellow, and orange.
There are several viewing platforms in the scenic area, but don’t worry about not being able to find them or missing one or two, as signboards can be found everywhere in the scenic area.
We walked from the entrance to the lower right and went to the dam viewing platform and the red leaf forest viewing platform.
Autumn in Tachuan arrives in early November. The main tree species in Tachuan is the Chinese tallow tree. Its leaves turn red earlier than maple trees, but the leaves do not turn red all at once. There is a process. The different ages of the trees in the village lead to different leaf color changes. The different geographical locations of the trees lead to different sunlight exposure times. The sunlight exposure time of the sunny side and the shady side of the same tree is also very different. Therefore, the time when the leaves change from green to yellow or from green to red, and finally fall, is different between trees and between different leaves of the same tree. The colorful leaves on the trees, coupled with good weather and light, can create good photographic works.
There are also several recommended photography spots along the highway, so the correct way to visit Tachuan is to spend a whole day in Tachuan, walk through the different viewing platforms, see the residential villages, take some satisfying landscape photos, and then taste some Hui-style food.
After finishing the tour in the village, we went to the high observation deck to have a bird's-eye view. When we first went up, we found that there was no tourist at all. After a while, a few groups of tourists came in. This is the highest point to overlook Tachuan and its surrounding fields and villages. Be sure not to miss it. The farthest village is Hongcun.
The drone's high vantage point only showed a few scattered Chinese tallow trees.
I can’t understand why the autumn scenery of Takawa is listed as one of the four major autumn scenery in the country?
Tachuan is a small village in Yi County in southern Anhui Province. The autumn colors here are known as one of the four major autumn colors in the country, and are listed as the most beautiful autumn colors in China along with Jiuzhaigou in Sichuan, Kanas in Xinjiang and Xiangshan in Beijing.
I passed by on the way to Hongcun and stopped to take a picture. It was beautiful. It should be more beautiful in autumn.
Enjoy the autumn scenery in Tachuan. If you miss it, you will have to wait for another year.
I often go to Tachuan, the autumn scenery is beautiful. It is a great place to enjoy the autumn scenery.
A famous autumn photography spot. You must choose the right time for the red leaves, which only lasts for about a week. The four major maple viewing spots are a bit unworthy of their names, as they are crowded with people. For the specific itinerary, please refer to my travel notes.
Visited Tachuan on August 18, 2018. It is a unique mountain village among the many beautiful and rich natural villages in Yixian Xiaotaoyuan. It has wonderful landscapes such as "stream around the front house", especially the autumn scenery of Tachuan, which is the base for many painters and photographers.
If you go to Wuyuan, you will regret it if you don’t go to Tachuan.
Horses graze in the southern mountains, bamboo seas and mists. Reflecting the white walls and black tiles of the Huizhou residences. Tachuan is quietly waiting for you in the depths of the mists.
I was deeply attracted by this quiet little mountain village. Although Tachuan was already beautiful at that time, its most beautiful scenery is the autumn scenery. In late autumn, the pink walls and black tiles are hidden among the red maples and yellow apricots. How can you miss such unique beauty in your life!
It is worth a visit. The autumn colors are beautiful and the trees and leaves are clearly layered.
Check out the autumn scenery of Tachuan with your heart and feel it with passion
The most beautiful autumn scenery in Tachuan is the color of the leaves. It should be even more beautiful 1-2 weeks later when the forest is truly full of colors.
It was my first time to visit this kind of terraced field attraction. I walked several kilometers to get to Tachuan. The scenery along the way was beautiful, but the maple leaves were not yet fully red when I got there. It would have been more beautiful if I had gone there a few days later.
It is very close to Hongcun and can be reached on foot or by bike. Half a day is enough to enjoy the golden scenery.
I asked the owner of the B&B if there was a place where I could watch the sunrise. The owner recommended the Tachuan Observation Deck! I woke up at 5 o'clock and drove for 10 minutes to find the Tachuan Observation Deck the owner mentioned! However, the sunrise was 30 minutes late, probably because Hongcun is surrounded by mountains. I was a little disappointed!
The leaves in the village have not yet started to change color. According to the driver, accommodation in Tachuan is relatively cheap. After mid-November, many photographers will stay here for half a month~ It's wonderful to think about it~ The village has blue bricks and white walls, and the two sides of the roof that are raised are said to be designed according to the shape of the old ingot~
As we all know, Tachuan is famous for its beautiful autumn scenery. Some people even call it one of the four great autumn colors in China, along with Jiuzhaigou in Sichuan, Kanas in Xinjiang, and Xiangshan in Beijing. In autumn, especially when the leaves turn red, the roads near the village are jammed with cars coming to enjoy the autumn scenery. In comparison, our visit to Tachuan in April was a bit of a waste of time. When we looked at Tachuan from a distance from a viewing platform beside the road, we found that Tachuan at this time was indeed as dull as expected.
The flowers in the mist in the spring and the colors in the fall are both amazing.
One of the three major autumn viewing spots in China, an autumn fairy tale, a paradise on earth
Tachuan Village is an experience I regret. If it is not autumn, if you are not particularly interested in ancient buildings, I suggest you don’t go! I walked for about 10 minutes and then left!
The autumn scenery of Takamatsu is the creative base for many painters and photographers.
The autumn scenery in Tachuan is really beautiful. The autumn colors are everywhere, and the white walls and black tiles are very charming.
It is a famous spot for enjoying autumn, and it really lives up to its name after I got here.
Because I missed the most beautiful flower season, I feel that the ancient villages around are all the same, and it is not worth buying a ticket to go again. It is better to just look at it from the observation deck. Tachuan is the most beautiful in autumn.
I heard it is a great place to enjoy autumn, but I visited in early September and there was not much scenery. The scenic area is very small and the tickets are not cheap.
It is really beautiful to go to Tachuan in autumn, the scenery is beautiful
This is a place for photographers to take pictures of autumn scenery. The scenery in spring is also nice. It is very close to Hongcun and is worth a visit in spring if transportation is convenient.
The car was parked in the parking lot on the side of the road, where there were many stalls. The terrain of Tachuan is much lower than the road. Standing on the side of the road and looking down, the view is very wide. Every autumn, the leaves of the Chinese tallow tree turn from green to yellow, and then to red. Together with the red maple trees and other green trees, the colors are colorful, and the white-walled and black-tiled village farmhouses are hidden in it, creating a beautiful pastoral scenery. If it is early in the morning, with fog and smoke floating around, it will be even more beautiful. Tachuan has long been a good place for photography enthusiasts, and it is precisely because of the spread of photographers' works that Tachuan has gradually become famous. Walking down between several tall trees, I revisited the old place and saw the waterwheel on the ditch again. If someone asks, I can be sure that it has a history of at least 9 years, haha. Walking in the uneven fields, admiring the colorful autumn colors, my mood also became leisurely.
Passing by Tachuan.
Although the colorful autumn season has passed, the layers of colors and the looming villages are still charming.
The autumn scenery of Tachuan is well-known, but you must choose the right time to go there. Except for a few days in late autumn, the scenery is mediocre at other times. It is just an ordinary small village in southern Anhui.
I chose to go in autumn, but I went a week late. The cold wave had just passed and the leaves of the Chinese tallow trees had basically fallen off, so I had missed the best time. Even so, I could still imagine the beauty of Neitachuan at its best time from the remaining scenery.
I went there on November 19th, and it was not as beautiful as I imagined. Maybe my expectations were too high, or maybe I missed the best time to see the red leaves.
A very ordinary village in the local area, far worse than Lu Village, full of the smell of money, one of the four major autumn viewing spots in China? How dare you brag!!! It's not as beautiful as the scenery on the road.
One of the most beautiful autumn scenery, starting from Hongru Road at the entrance of Hongcun, passing through Tachuan to Xieli, there are beautiful scenery along the way, and the scenery in Tachuan Village is also good
In the autumn, when the mountains of Takamatsu are in full bloom with red leaves, it feels like you are in a painting and you won’t want to leave.
There are two main spots for viewing red leaves in Wuyuan - Tachuan and Shicheng.
Before departure, pay attention to other tourists asking about the red leaves.
So as not to make a wasted trip
I personally think the best viewing spot for the red leaves in Tachuan is on the dirt road from Hongcun Scenic Area to Tachuan Road.
Who told me that there are three most beautiful autumn colors in China? It's just a rural area turned into a tourist attraction, and the ticket price is 40! ! ! Yes, you read it right, 40! The place is about the size of a playground! I really don't want to complain!
The scenery of Tachwan is very beautiful, with large fields of rapeseed flowers.
We went at a bad time, the leaves were not yet fully red, but the old trees were quite big.
When I arrived, it was the photography festival in Takawa, and it was the perfect time to see the red leaves. It was very beautiful.
Tachuan is more suitable for traveling with family and friends. I personally like the scenery in autumn. During the day, you can enjoy the flowers, scenery and natural scenery. At noon, you can sit on the balcony and taste chrysanthemum tea. The pace of life here is relatively slow. It is more suitable for a weekend stay, slowly feeling the comfortable country life, and tasting the local green vegetables and local special snacks.

Also known as Tashang, it belongs to Hongcun Town, Yi County. It is located on the way from Hongcun to Mukeng Bamboo Sea Scenic Spot, only 2 kilometers away from Hongcun. It is a unique mountain village among the many beautiful and rich natural villages in Yi County's Little Peach Blossom Land, with wonderful landscapes such as "stream around the front house".
The autumn scenery of Tachuan is the base for many painters and photographers. The autumn scenery here is known as one of the four major autumn colors in China. Every autumn, the leaves of the Chinese tallow trees scattered in the village fields turn red, forming a charming pastoral landscape painting. The autumn scenery of Tachuan is also named after this and is famous all over the world. After the frost, the Chinese tallow trees in Tachuan turn from green to yellow, from yellow to red, and in between, they are colorful. The morning in Tachuan is the most beautiful. A thin mist shrouds the trees, seeming to be there and not there. The farmhouses are looming, and the eaves and corners suddenly appear in the red maple bushes. The pink walls and black tiles are shaded by golden leaves, just like the poetic Chinese landscape painting.
If you want to see the autumn colors of Tachuan, you really have to wait until the end of November. If you come too early, there will be nothing. I rode here from Hongcun, which is not far, but I was disappointed because I came at the wrong time.
The village is not big, and the scenery in winter is average, but if you come in autumn, it is said that the autumn scenery is still very beautiful! There is also a special observation deck where you can see the panoramic view.
Located between Hongcun, a famous tourist attraction in Yi County's Peach Blossom Spring, and Mukeng Bamboo Sea, it is a unique mountain village among the many beautiful and rich natural villages in Yi County's Little Peach Blossom Spring. Especially the autumn scenery of Tachuan, it is the base for many painters and photographers.
It's very ordinary now. Look at the photos. Takawa is very beautiful in autumn.
How should I describe Tachuan? It is great when the weather is right. If the weather is not right, it will feel like an ordinary mountain village. So if you want to take a great photo of the autumn scenery of Tachuan, you still have to rely on luck. If the fog is too heavy, the sky is too cloudy or too sunny, you will not be able to take the most beautiful photos of Tachuan~ So I wish you all good luck~
It is worthy of being one of the four most beautiful autumn scenery in China. It is really colorful. A tree is a beautiful scenery.
The combination of the gray and white Hui-style architecture and the autumn landscape is truly a masterpiece.
The road from Huangshan City to Tachuan is full of scenery, with trees and plants of various colors. It's just that the mountain road is very curved and prone to motion sickness. The tour guide said that we can still see some red leaves of Chinese tallow trees in Tachuan during the two days when the cold air came, and the leaves will fall off in two days due to wind and rain. Entering the entrance of the scenic area, the village is not big but the style of the houses is very uniform, all of which are Hui-style buildings. There is no shadow of Chinese tallow trees in front of and behind the courtyard, but there are small lantern-like fruits hanging on the bare persimmon trees. Follow the signposts in the village to the mangrove forest, which is actually the farmland beside the village. There you can see Chinese tallow trees growing in groups of three or two. Even if the sky is gloomy, any casual shot is a pastoral oil painting. The leaves are not particularly bright, the darkest color is orange-red, but the saturated color is particularly artistic against the background of the white-walled and black-tiled houses in the distance. Before going, I read the guide saying that the viewing platform is the best shooting point. With high-end photography equipment and favorable weather and location, it is easy to take great photos there, with a panoramic view of Chinese tallow trees, Hui-style buildings, and rural scenery. But for ordinary people who are not professional photographers, the viewing platform is a bit far away, and ordinary cameras cannot take good photos. It is better to walk around the fields and villages, pay more attention, and you may see good scenery when you turn around.
Tachuan Village, also known as Tashang, belongs to Hongcun Town, Yi County. It is located on the way from Hongcun, a famous tourist attraction in Yi County's Peach Blossom Spring, to Mukeng Bamboo Sea.
You must choose the right season to visit Tachuan. If you go there in mid-November, the flowing autumn colors are picturesque.
The autumn scenery of Takamawa - one of the most beautiful autumn scenery in China, well-deserved of its reputation!
It's great, the afterglow of the sunset and the red leaves complement each other, and a thin mist rises from the fields, it really feels like a paradise.
Actually, we went there on recommendation, but we went at the wrong time, so we were a little disappointed. So it is very important to choose the right time. November is a good time.
It is very close to Hongcun. If you go at the wrong time, there will be no unique scenery. There are large maple forests here, and the autumn colors are the most beautiful in autumn.
The heavy fog on the second day of Huangshan forced us to return by the same route, which took us half a day longer than the originally planned itinerary. It was also because of this extra half a day that we had the opportunity to encounter the beautiful scenery of Tachuan. Tachuan belongs to Tachuan Village in Jilian Town, Yi County, also known as Tashang. It is located on the way from Hongcun to Mukeng Bamboo Sea Scenic Spot, only 2 kilometers away from Hongcun. It is a unique mountain village among the many beautiful and rich natural villages in Yixian Xiaotaoyuan. It is backed by Huangdui Mountain, the southwest remnant of Huangshan Mountain, which is towering in the clouds, and faces the rippling Shili Qishu Lake in the distance. Twenty or thirty ancient houses with pink walls, black tiles, flying eaves and corners are built on the mountain, layered and staggered. I rented a bicycle from the hotel in Hongcun and rode along the road towards Tachuan. The scenery along the way was beautiful!
Nice scenery, you can go and experience it.
On the way back, we passed by Tachuan and asked the old man to stop the car to take a look inside. During the off-season, no one collects admission fees and there are several entrances where you can walk in. However, there is nothing to see in Tachuan at this time. It is hard to imagine that this is the beautiful little village in autumn.
Tachuan Village is a good place to enjoy the autumn scenery. When the leaves are yellow, green, and red, the layers are intertwined and it is particularly beautiful.
Tachuan, also known as Tashang, is one of the three legendary places for viewing autumn colors in China. It is located on the way from Hongcun, a famous scenic spot in Yixian Peach Blossom Spring, to Mukeng Bamboo Sea, only about 2 kilometers away from Hongcun. From early November to mid-to-late November every year is a good time to photograph the red leaves in Tachuan. We rented a bicycle from the west end of Hongcun to Tachuan (remember to bring the Hongcun ticket and check it when you return to the village). After crossing the bridge, there is a street. Not far to the south, there are many bicycle rental shops. The one we found requires an ID card as a deposit, and the half-day rental fee is 5 yuan. The bicycle looks good, but the speed change function fails, so it is difficult to climb the hill. Although tired, it is worth the trip.
When you go to Hongcun, you must get up early and take a stroll in Tachuan.
We went there on November 26, 2015, but found that we were late. The autumn colors had been blown away by the rain and wind, and there was no trace of red. Only the residual red under the sunset gave us some comfort. Tachuan, also known as Tashang, belongs to Hongcun Town, only 2 kilometers away from Hongcun. It is a unique mountain village among the many beautiful and rich natural villages in Yixian's Little Peach Blossom Land. Go up the hillside along Hongru Highway out of Hongcun Scenic Area. The viewing platform is just at the top of the mountain. It takes about 5 minutes by car and about half an hour on foot. If you walk, you can go directly to the village.
The overall rating is four stars, worth visiting and photographing.
Tachuan Village is a small mountain village at the foot of Mount Huangshan. Every autumn it becomes a paradise for photography enthusiasts. Photographers always roam around the village with their cameras and cameras, wandering around every corner of the village. They walk here and there, capturing every scene and every moment, trying to make a "blockbuster"!
Tachuan belongs to Tachuan Village in Jilian Town, Yi County, also known as Tashang. It is located on the way from Hongcun, a famous tourist attraction in Yi County's Peach Blossom Spring, to Mukeng Bamboo Sea, only 2 kilometers away from Hongcun. I went to Tachuan on November 17th to take pictures of the autumn scenery. The continuous drizzle caused the maple leaves to fall before they turned red! What a pity! I will go again next year! The scenery is beautiful!
Tachuan is a project I picked up during my trip to Huangshan. Why do I say that? I didn't plan it at all when I made the plan. When I came out of Hongcun, there were many tricycles at the door. One of the female drivers was enthusiastically soliciting business. So I chatted with her for a while. She enthusiastically recommended Tachuan and Mukeng Bamboo Sea. So we got on her tricycle and rushed to Tachuan. The season was a little early, but it also had some autumn meaning. Look at the pictures and you will know how beautiful it is...
It is only 2 kilometers away from Hongcun, so the two scenic spots are almost adjacent. When I went there, the leaves had just started to turn red, and there were many tourists. There were many people and cars on the road. Fortunately, there were many police to maintain order, so the traffic jam was not completely blocked. The autumn scenery of Tachuan is known as one of the three major autumn scenery viewing spots in China, comparable to Jiuzhaigou and Beijing Xiangshan. I feel like bragging is tax-free now, who can brag...
A very quiet little village with beautiful scenery and preserved in a relatively simple style.
The village is very small and needs to be savored carefully. When I went there, the leaves were not yet red, and many photography enthusiasts went there to capture the scenery, and many beautiful scenes were presented under their cameras!

🎫Tickets: Tickets to Tachuan are 40, and online tickets are 32, but you have to wait half an hour to get the tickets.
