Located at the junction of Anhui and Hubei, with the highest peak at an altitude of about 1,800 meters, it is the first pass in the southeast of Wu and Chu.
There are many rare ancient plants in Tiantangzhai’s forest resources. You can watch the sunrise in the early morning and the sunset in the evening.
After the rain, the view of the sea of clouds from the main peak is even more spectacular.
Many important battles took place in history, such as the Advance into Dabie Mountains, and Tiantangzhai was an important activity area.

The auxiliary facilities are very complete. Parking, accommodation, dining, and toilets are all very convenient, which shows that the scenic area is well managed. In terms of scenery, there are many such scenery in the entire Dabie Mountain area. I don't think Tiantangzhai is unique. You can just visit nearby. But in summer, the mountains and rivers are beautiful, and the temperature is cool at night. It is indeed a good place to escape the summer heat. In addition to Tiantangzhai, the expanded projects, such as rafting, still need a lot of comparison and consideration, and the quality feels not high.
Tiantangzhai Scenic Area spans across Anhui and Hubei provinces and has a large area. We went there in early spring, and the ground had not yet turned green. The waterfall was still nice. We walked along the valley for a while, but due to seasonal factors, we did not go further and returned to the Grand Canyon. We will go again in the future depending on the season.
The same is Tiantangzhai, Anhui has more water, Hubei has better mountains. The recommended route is to go up from Hubei and then down from Anhui. Of course, it is best to recognize the road in the middle, there is no road in one section. Also, don't be checked when you go down from Anhui
The destination of the study tour leaves many beautiful memories.
As soon as I entered the scenic area, I immediately felt that the temperature dropped by several degrees. It is true that in places like this with many trees and waterfalls, people's comfort levels are different. Except that climbing the mountain is a bit tiring, I can say that the overall feeling I got was that people were very comfortable inside. The entire scenic area is also large enough, and there are fewer and fewer people as you walk. When you are close to the top of the mountain, find a tree to sit under for a while, and you will also have the urge to roar loudly, and I did roar = =
There were more than 11 people, but the facilities in the scenic area were very poor. The cable car was under repair and could only be climbed on foot. It was not recommended for the elderly and children (under 12 years old) to visit. After climbing to the main peak, there were two options: one was to return by the original route, and the other was to climb (the plank road down the mountain had not been repaired, so you had to take the old road). It was really cool to use your hands and feet. Wear good climbing equipment and at least a pair of sports shoes. The whole journey took six hours (including rest).
There is a place called Chestnut Farm, which is clean and tidy and has a high cost performance (cheaper than the accommodation at the entrance of the scenic spot). It is about four kilometers away from the entrance of the scenic spot.
For food, there is a Xing'an hotpot restaurant (I can't remember the full name) which is super delicious
If you want to get up early in the morning to climb the mountain, you should eat a bowl of hot food. It is very cold in the morning.
The last season is very cold in the mountains
It is not recommended to travel here unless you are a mountaineering adventure enthusiast
Today I went to Tiantangzhai, a 5A scenic spot. I had to queue for more than an hour to buy tickets. The road back down the mountain was still under construction, and there was no sign to inform me. I was stuck in traffic for more than an hour. The management of the scenic spot is very backward, which does not meet the requirements of a 5A scenic spot.
The scenery is nice, not too crowded, a good place to escape the city, go hiking and breathe fresh air.
There are cars from the gate to the entrance of the mountain climbing. They will stop when they reach the Baima Grand Canyon, but the Baima Grand Canyon will go down and finally reach the entrance, so it is recommended that you climb the mountain first so that you don't get off the car when you arrive at the Grand Canyon. I climbed the mountain for three hours, mainly to enjoy the process of climbing. The scenery along the way is good. Because Tiantangzhai is the junction of Anhui and Hubei, the ticket is universal. You can go up the mountain from the entrance of Anhui and go down the mountain from the entrance of Hubei if you have enough time. I climbed to the top of the mountain and heard singing from the entrance of Hubei, which felt very funny. The water in the Baima Grand Canyon is very clear. It takes an hour and a half to walk down. You can also do zip lines, which is also very fun.
It took five or six hours to drive all the way from Nanjing. We went rafting directly after arriving in the afternoon! Rafting is now a water fight in a big lake. It's very happy. The gates were opened at 3 o'clock, and the kayaks started rafting in order! It was very thrilling. In some places, the drop was more than 1 meter. A colleague's boat flipped directly, hahaha! After rafting, the whole body was soaked in water. Be sure to bring a change of clothes! The next day, we went up the mountain. The bus driver was very good. It was all winding mountain roads. I felt like I was going to fall when I turned. I had a heart attack... The mountain was very high. Most of us climbed a short distance and then took the cable car up! I have to say that the cable car is very cost-effective. It spans three hills and is quite thrilling! The air on the mountain is fresh and the scenery is beautiful. It is worth a visit! The hotel we stayed in at night was great. We ordered local wild rabbit meat and native pork hanging pot. It was a full pot. We couldn't eat a few pieces. It was really a waste! The taste was okay, mainly the freshness, hahaha!
It's fun. You have to go up there and experience it. It's really great.
Whether it is sunny or after rain, it is easy to see the misty clouds, as if you have arrived at the Xiuxian field. The ecology is very good, with beautiful mountains and clear waters. It takes two days. On the first day, I went rafting on the 18 bends, wandering on the raft, looking at the blue sky and white clouds, floating at will. On the second day, the waterfall group plus the Baima Grand Canyon. The waterfall group mainly sees five waterfalls, each with its own merits, but in some places the plank road is narrow and easily blocked. The zipline in the Baima Grand Canyon must be experienced, there is no danger, and experience the feeling of letting go of yourself (although I didn’t slide to the end naturally the first time, it was the master who pulled me back manually). I want to have a good time again. I heard that you need to hold the rope with both hands, keep your balance and don’t spin to get to the end smoothly, but it’s a rare experience to fly back by yourself when you are almost at the end, and there are staff to help, hahaha!
The local specialty hanging pot? I didn't think it was anything special, it was no different from the dry pot, but the hairy grass root dish really won my heart.
The public service is pretty good, and the prices are reasonable. It rained heavily on the mountain, and the disposable raincoat (good quality) was sold for 5 yuan. There was no arbitrary price increase. Green Mood ice cream was 2 yuan a stick. A large bucket of specialty rice wine sold at the exit of the scenic area was 15 yuan (but when I ate at the local hotel, I found that the hotel sold it for 30!). A bag of hairy grass roots was 5 yuan. The prices in the scenic area have not risen outrageously. This is a relatively good impression.
Enter the scenic area with your ticket, take the tour bus to Huxing, get off, and prepare to visit the five major waterfalls in Tiantangzhai, and then climb the mountain to the top of Tiantangzhai! From the top of Tiantangzhai in Anhui to Tiantangzhai in Luotian, Hubei, you need to pay 68 tickets (very unhappy) or you have to pay the ticket! (The ticket does not include the bus to the Hubei Tiantangzhai scenic area), and enter Hubei Tiantangzhai.
Very beautiful place, the waterfall water is very cool, it takes more than 5 hours to drive from Nanjing
What impressed visitors the most about Tiantangzhai is its five waterfalls. When we arrived, the tour guide said that even during the dog days of summer, the waterfalls never stopped flowing. Starting from the scenic area, you can see the 64-meter-long and 8-meter-wide Jiuying Waterfall after walking one mile. You can hear the thunderous sound from a long distance. The beauty of Tiantangzhai lies in its natural simplicity. The best scenery is in the remoteness, just as the predecessors wrote in Tiantangzhai: "The simplicity of the simple mountain village is the value of simplicity, and the beauty of the natural scenery lies in nature." Although we were not satisfied with the tour and did not have a panoramic view of the beautiful mountains and rivers, and there were thick clouds and fog covering us, we did not waste our trip after all. Each of us felt regretful that we could not stay here for a few more days. One of my colleagues even said that he hoped to live in this mountain for a long time and did not want to return to the world. It seemed to express the same feeling of our group of 16 people!
The scenic spot is pretty good and worth recommending. The local food hanging pot is quite unique.
Tiantangzhai Scenic Area in Lu'an is worth recommending to everyone! It is more concentrated and richer than the scenic spots in Luotian, Hubei, and is more suitable for self-driving with children. There are mountains and water, and children can feel the fun of being in nature more deeply. At the same time, they can exercise their independence, safety awareness, and willpower! The cost-effectiveness of the scenic spot ticket is still relatively high. The validity period is 2 days, giving tourists more time to arrange the itinerary reasonably. The temperature difference between morning and evening in the mountains is large, so you must bring a spring and autumn jacket. The ultraviolet rays are strong during the day, so pay attention to sun protection. The publicity of the scenic spot is not as strong as that of Tiantangzhai in Luotian, Hubei, so the number of tourists is not particularly large. There is no dense and oppressive feeling of a large number of people in the scenic area, which is very leisurely and comfortable!
Dabie Mountain is probably a place I will never forget, because it is really beautiful. Very quiet. It is the last virgin forest in East China. It is not as famous as Huangshan, Taishan, and Lushan. Many places have not been developed. Many climbing forests do not have escalator handrails installed. You need to hold on to tree roots, rocks, and trekking poles to climb slowly and hard. It is a bit dangerous but very exciting. There are beautiful scenery and cliffs everywhere. The water in the mountain stream has never been polluted and is directly drinkable mineral water. Because it is too primitive, not many people choose to visit it. Even on good days like national holidays, there are not many people. I want to go there again in my lifetime...
We are a self-guided tour group and had a great time.
Because it is not a popular tourist attraction, the scenic area is relatively original and environmentally friendly; although seven or eight years have passed, I still miss Dabie Mountain...
There are only two buses to Tiantangzhai a day, at 7:30 am and 12:30 pm. Lu'an Railway Station and Bus Station are in the same yard, very close and convenient.
From Lu'an Railway Station to Tiantangzhai Scenic Area in Jinzhai, nearly half of the journey is on a winding mountain road (with few passengers). The commuter bus is so big that it is difficult to turn on the winding mountain road, and the speed can't be increased in the later period. Chatting with the driver, he said that there is no other way, during the peak season, such a large bus is still enough.
I calculated that except for a stop at the Yanzihe bus station, the entire journey would take 3 and a half hours, a distance of just over 100 kilometers!
The ticket to Tiantangzhai, including the sightseeing bus, is 143 yuan. The gate is very grand, and the tourist service center is even more grand, just like a five-star hotel lobby, but there are surprisingly few tourists and it is deserted.
Enter the gate of the scenic area, about 200 meters away, you will find the scenic sightseeing bus departure station. There are only two stations in the entire scenic area: the Baima Grand Canyon Station in the middle and the Huxingdi Station at the end.
There were not many tourists, only a few. The bus had to go up 6 or 7 kilometers, and the scenery on the winding mountain road was also good.
There are five famous waterfalls in Tiantangzhai: Nine Shadows Waterfall, Lady Waterfall, etc. (I don’t remember the names of the latter ones). It is said that the third one is the most beautiful, but that may not be the case.
Going up along the plank road, you will see the second and third waterfalls after a few turns. During the hike, the gurgling stream outside the plank road also made me stop and take pictures for a long time.
After reaching the third Lady Falls, there is a sign indicating how long it will take to go up. If you have not started climbing from here before 3 pm, it is recommended that tourists choose to take the cable car up and down, otherwise there will not be enough time.
When I came, the cable car was under maintenance and was not open.
After returning to the "Huxingdi" station, I took the scenic bus and started to go down. I wanted to go to the "Baima Canyon" in the middle.
From here, you can walk down the canyon and walk out of the scenic area gate, which means you don’t need a sightseeing bus anymore. I can walk at my own pace without worrying about whether I can catch the bus.
Baima Canyon is a very important scenic spot. Most tourists will do the same as me and choose to play in reverse order, playing the farthest first, and then get off the bus on the way back to visit the entrance of Baima Canyon and then walk out of the scenic area.
The steps going down were very steep at the beginning (I was glad I was going down, wouldn’t I be exhausted if I was going up?), and I sometimes felt dizzy when I lowered my head to take pictures!
These steps were built almost close to the mountain.
It looked quite strenuous, but fortunately, it was only about 100 to 200 meters before we reached the flat road. However, there was a fork here: going straight would lead us to the canyon, while turning right would lead us to the charming "Baima Peak Plank Road".
There is a sign at the entrance of the plank road, which made me confused for a while. It says: This plank road needs to go back the same way, and it takes more than 3 hours to go back and forth. Tourists are advised to master it according to their physical strength and time.
It was already 4:30 in the afternoon, and it would be dark in an hour. The most important thing was that the White Horse Grand Canyon below was still waiting for photos.
Alas~~
It is really good for the president. Although the mountain road is not easy to walk on, the scenery is indeed beautiful and the air is very good. You can also walk from Tiantangzhai in Anhui to Tiantangzhai in Hubei, crossing two provinces in one step.
The scenery is still OK. The group tour was a bit rushed. I didn't have enough time to reach the top. I didn't experience the zip line and plank road. It's a pity. The cableway is under maintenance. It's also good to hike up the mountain. It's a good place to escape the summer heat. I didn't feel too tired. The ticket can be used for secondary entry and can also lead to Hubei. The toilets in the 5A scenic area are really not good, and the infrastructure needs to be improved.
Generally speaking, it's just so-so, with green mountains and clear waters, hot weather and oxygen bar, it's a big canyon and waterfalls, the mountain is very high and suitable for mountaineering enthusiasts, the strange landscape should be at the top of the mountain, most people can't climb up, it's very tiring,
In short, it's rubbish, the facilities are poor, and the scenery is average! Especially the restaurant below, Anhui people are so unreliable!
It is worth a visit for those who like mountains and rivers and want to experience cliffs.
During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, I drove to Tiantangzhai with my friends. It was a very pleasant surprise. I thought the attraction would be crowded, but in fact there were not too many people. There were still many empty parking spaces.
The shuttle bus in the scenic area goes back and forth between various scenic spots, which is very convenient. I don't remember the price, but it was 132 if I bought the ticket.
Private cars can also enter the scenic area, but the prerequisite is that you have to book a hotel in the scenic area. I stayed in Tiantangzhai Holiday Villa in the scenic area, so I could drive.
The scenic spots can be summarized as mountains, water, suspended plank roads, and canyons.
Mountains are all about climbing mountains, climbing mountains, climbing mountains, climbing mountains, climbing mountains, climbing mountains, climbing mountains, climbing mountains. Although the climbing journey is a bit long and difficult, the large and small waterfalls in the mountains and the scenery on the top of the mountain are still worth seeing. The mountain scenery on the Anhui side is mainly green vegetation, while there are exposed rock cliffs on the Hubei side. I personally prefer the scenery on the Hubei side. The mountain road is very long, and it takes seven or eight hours to climb the whole way.
Water is a waterfall in the mountains and a stream in the valleys. The spring water is clear enough and tastes better than Nongfu Spring.
The Baima Plank Road is built along the cliffs of Baima Peak, folding up along the mountain to the top. The plank road is completely suspended in the air, with a cliff underfoot, and the higher you go, the weaker your legs will feel.
Baima Grand Canyon is just an ordinary mountain canyon, with a stream running between two peaks, clear water and green trees.
In summary, although Tiantangzhai is not a very well-known tourist attraction, it contains a variety of natural scenery and is suitable for a 2-3 day trip.
Of course, what we care more about is the mood when enjoying the scenery. If we are in a good mood, everything will be beautiful.
To be honest, I didn't have a very good impression. First of all, when entering the gate, because there were so many people on May Day, the scenic spot simply used ropes to limit the flow of people. Once they were released, everyone rushed forward. What if a stampede occurred? Is this the ability of a 5A scenic spot to handle things? Secondly, the scenery is really average, and the free ticket fee is obviously too high. Finally, because there were so many people on May Day, there was a lot of garbage in the scenic area. The trash cans were full all the way, and I didn't see a cleaning staff. The overall feeling was not good.
Tiantangzhai National Nature Reserve is quite beautiful and worth a visit.
The scenery of Tiantangzhai in Jinzhai County is great. The water quality of Baima Grand Canyon is very good. It feels like you can drink it directly. Walking in the canyon allows you to feel the taste of nature up close. The waterfalls are spectacular. It would be even better in the flood season. The hiking trail of Longjianfeng can really meet the various wishes of climbers for mountain climbing. The mountain road is steep and rugged, and the stone steps are intertwined with the original road. When walking on it, you need to pay attention to your feet when enjoying the scenery. In short, Jinzhai Tiantangzhai is worth a visit.
Tiantangzhai, in general, is a little under-represented in the 5A scenic area. The main fun thing is the waterfall group scenic area. The 5 waterfalls are still very good, but the style is relatively rough, lacking some graceful waterfalls. Walking from the waterfall to the top of the mountain, the left line is easy to walk, but there are basically no attractions to see. There are some attractions on the right line, but there are no service areas and sightseeing platforms on the road, and many attractions cannot be seen. Personally, I think the only thing worth praising is the various roads, which are really interesting. It is very suitable for mountaineering enthusiasts, but not suitable for the elderly and children, because there is really no way to climb. The scenery on the top of the mountain is OK, it's considered a pass. I didn't go to the Baima Grand Canyon Scenic Area, but from the distance on the road, I felt a little mediocre, but I haven't been there, so it's hard to comment. Overall, it's okay to play, relatively speaking, it's not worth it in the 5A scenic area.
Summer and autumn are really great. The water in the Baima Grand Canyon is emerald green, and the big and small Bitan are quiet and clear. The Baima plank road is suitable for those with good physical strength to go up and ring the bell. The scenery of Tiantangzhai is still very good. Friends around Anhui should not miss it~~
Tiantangzhai National Nature Reserve Tiantangzhai National Nature Reserve
Probably because it was the off-season, the morning Jingjiao was supposed to start at 7 o'clock, but because there were few people, it didn't start until 7:35. From the Jingjiao boarding point, drive 20 minutes to the terminal. On the way, you will pass the Baimafeng Grand Canyon. It is recommended not to get off the bus and go to the Tiantangzhai main peak scenic area first. We climbed up and down the mountain by ourselves, which took 6 hours. The scenery along the way was very impressive. The only regret was that there was fog on the mountain and we didn't see any scenery at the main peak. However, the scenery on the way down the mountain was very good. The road we took up the mountain was relatively gentle along the waterfall group, and the mountain road down the mountain was the Longjianfeng Scenic Area, which was really steep (PS, you have to choose between the two intersections when going up the mountain), so everyone should pay attention to safety.
One-day trip to Tiantangzhai during the National Day holiday, Dabie Mountain at the junction of Anhui and Hubei, the scenery is picturesque! The special hanging pot dishes of Tiantangzhai are delicious (⊙o⊙)!
It's a better place than expected, even though we went there on a rainy day. It would be even better on a sunny day!
I think the local area needs to be further developed. The scenery is absolutely great. However, there are many gaps in supporting facilities. For example, the service, guidance, reception and guide map of the scenic area all need to be upgraded.
Another example is the old facilities at several accommodations in the mountains, which are not comfortable, sanitary or safe. If they are upgraded or renovated, more tourists will be willing to stay there.
I plan to stay there for a few days and take some good photos.
It is really beautiful, with mountains, water and forests. There are many waterfalls and streams everywhere. The air is very fresh. It is said that the negative oxygen ions per square meter in the canyon are as high as hundreds of thousands! It is really a great place for a summer vacation!
Very good scenic spot, with unique features, it takes at least one and a half days to visit the three major scenic spots. The best is the waterfall scenic spot
Very good, unforgettable trip, two days
The scenery of Tiantangzhai, which was a one-day tour group tour from Wuhan, was quite good, but the round trip on the road took too long. It seems that Tiantangzhai is only a small part of Dabie Mountain. I will visit other scenic spots when I have the chance.
Highlights: You can climb mountains, play in the water, eat, drink and have fun. It's more fun to go with a group~ Itinerary: After entering the scenic area, we took a car to the middle of the mountain (it felt like the car went a long way, and the various turns in the mountain were very exciting), and started climbing the mountain. I was so tired that I walked to a place where I could take the cable car. Who knew I had to queue for three hours? In the end, I decided to climb the mountain, or I took a shortcut. The waterfalls along the way made me feel better about climbing the mountain. After climbing for three hours, I finally reached the top. At the top, I found the intersection of the two provinces, and I was above the clouds, enjoying this kind of city that can't bring Mood makes you forget who you are, forget your worries, and enjoy the present. Although there is no direct sunlight, the sky is beautiful. When the sun shines, there are clouds all over the ground. When I walked here, I found a tree of prayer strips, which is also a kind of beauty. When I rushed to go down the mountain, I really couldn't climb, so I went to queue up for the cable car. The more pitfall was that the queue lasted for four hours. I was also drunk. I climbed down, but it was too dark to go down the mountain. A group of people used their mobile phones for lighting, which was also spectacular. The only drawback is that for attractions like this, more street lights should be prepared, especially when there are many people on holidays and it is more dangerous when it is dark. It started to rain when I was going down the mountain. This time, in the dark and rainy, all the strangers were talking and laughing with each other, turning on the lights, and the mood was even better. It's worth playing~
It is very beautiful in autumn. You can see the colorful Dabie Mountains and there are many waterfalls.
After checking the ticket and entering the scenic area, take a car directly to the end point. You can take a cable car or climb the mountain. I climbed up from a road on the right through the waterfall group. At the beginning, it was a stone staircase. Slowly, various roads intersected. It was very interesting. If you are not physically fit, take more breaks. The scenery along the way is also very rich. I walked from nine to three o'clock, walked to the direction of Hubei, and returned to Wuchuguan without going too far. I went back directly from another shortcut. The scenery on this road was much inferior, and the road did not change. However, I took a closer look at the stream on the right and found a small baby fish about ten centimeters long. It was simply a big paintball on this road (if you see it, you must protect wild animals and don't catch them). It took an hour to return, and I didn't take pictures or rest. The next day, I still took a car to the end point. There were still two roads. One, Feiduran walked on the plank road, and the other was to go down the steps directly and hike. It took me two hours to walk all the way. Many of the scenery was very similar, but the pools were beautiful. Just take a walk and breathe oxygen.
Fortunately, there is a 3,000-meter cliff plank road that is quite good.
In the morning, the sun showed its smiling face, and we set off for Tiantangzhai. However, there is always a gap between ideal and reality. I only took a few pictures of the waterfall, which can be regarded as a visit. The smile of the girl on the way back can be regarded as a compensation. [Sun][Sun][Sun] The ticket is 115 yuan, and the shuttle bus to the scenic area is 28 yuan, a total of 143 yuan. If you plan to go, you can buy it online now, which is cheaper than buying tickets at the scenic area window. In addition, if you want to go to the top of the mountain and the White Horse Valley to play in the scenic area, it may take a day, otherwise half a day is enough.
We went there with an outdoor club. It's just like the name of the scenic spot, with paradise-like scenery. It's located at the junction of Anhui and Anhui provinces. Entering from the Anhui side, you will find the Baima Grand Canyon Scenic Area. If you're going for a two-day tour, it's recommended to spend 2 to 3 hours there.
The main scenic area requires a certain amount of physical strength. The waterfalls at the beginning are spectacular. There is a fork at the end of the waterfall. One side is relatively gentle and the scenery is mediocre, while the other side is more dangerous, but the scenery is more beautiful. After reaching the top of the mountain, you can go to Xiaohuashan, where the scenery is very good. The entire scenic area is very large, and it takes about 6 to 8 hours to play. Because the cable car is relatively old-fashioned and has limited passenger capacity, if you choose to take the cable car down the mountain, there will be a lot of queues during the peak tourist season, which is slower than walking down the mountain... Please choose carefully!
It's not a big scenic spot, but the beautiful scenery is worth a visit. The Fairy Waterfall winds from the top of the mountain to the foot of the mountain.
Once you come here, you will realize that the beauty of the mountains and rivers will make you linger.
Tiantangzhai in Dabie Mountains is located at the junction of Hubei and Anhui provinces, with the southern slope being the Hubei Tiantangzhai Scenic Area and the northern slope being the Anhui Tiantangzhai Scenic Area.
There is a poem that says: "In the past, there were the most clouds here. Today, I am happy to see the clouds and mist rising. The mountains in front of my eyes suddenly disappeared. I thought I was in the small Penglai."
The air is very fresh, and the scenery of Dabie Mountain is very beautiful, with cliffs and waterfalls everywhere. We set off at 8:30 in the morning and climbed to the border between Anhui and Hubei at more than 1,600 meters in more than three hours. Then we took the cable car down the mountain and came back to eat the local specialty hanging pot. It was amazing.
The scenery is very good, with mountains, water and waterfalls! We stayed at Lao Zhu's. The owner was very nice, but the accommodation was not very good and the taste was not that strong. If you are hiking, you must wear comfortable shoes, otherwise you can't climb down the whole mountain. There is water for sale on the mountain for 8 yuan a bottle, which is a bit expensive. But I am afraid that I still have a lot of fun 😊
Tiantangzhai National Nature Reserve is located at the junction of Luotian County, Hubei Province and Jinzhai County, Anhui Province. It was called "the first pass in the southeast of Wu and Chu" in ancient times and has the reputation of "the last primeval forest in East China, the kingdom of plants, and the ocean of flowers". There is a Tiantangzhai scenic area in Luotian County and Jinzhai County, which are national 4A scenic areas and 5A scenic areas respectively. The two scenic areas are connected at the top of the mountain. The Luotian scenic area has steep mountains and unique scenery, just as the ancients said, "The quiet and strange world, the sight of climbing it moves the soul". The Jinzhai County scenic area wins with water, lush forests and bamboos, Longtan waterfalls, beautiful scenery, and fascinating. There is a poem praising it: "After walking through Huang, E, Dai and Lu, only Tiantang water is the best."
Tiantangzhai has beautiful natural scenery and great air quality, which is definitely worth a visit. However, the development of Tiantangzhai Town is not perfect, and the supporting facilities have not kept up.
The scenery of Tiantangzhai Scenic Area is still very beautiful, like the Baima Grand Canyon.
It’s worth a visit, one ticket covers two days of fun and one view spans two provinces!
I have been to Tiantangzhai many times, and each time I went there, I had different feelings. The waterfall in Tiantangzhai was impressive and quite imposing. I met Ma Ying, a female host from Anhui TV, and her group when I went there once. The hanging pot chicken in Tiantangzhai was delicious.
The black fungus I bought in Tiantangzhai was dyed with ink, which made a very bad impression.
Beautiful scenery, fresh air, a good place for health preservation
The mountain here is extremely steep. Take the scenic bus all the way to the bottom of the waterfalls. There are two ways to go up the mountain. One is through several waterfalls, and the other is a more difficult mountain road. We chose the one to see the waterfalls. The journey up the mountain is quite long, about two and a half hours. We took the cable car down the mountain, which cost 60 yuan per person, and children under 1.2 meters were free of charge.
During the National Day holiday, I went to Jinzhai Tiantangzhai. There weren't many people. The waterfalls and canyons there were intoxicating! It was full of the charm of "Little Rock Pool". It was a pity that I went there too early, and the red leaves on the mountain had not yet been dyed. The Great Rift Valley in Western Anhui was also nice.
Tiantangzhai in winter is particularly quiet, because it is the sluggish season for tourism. Apart from our group, we can only see the residents guarding the mountain and some farmers living in the mountains. It seems that there is a sense of silence and no one is around! Even the only sound we can hear is the gurgling sound of flowing water and the occasional bird song. At this time, the human body's senses seem to be only visual, and the others seem to be sleeping with the silence. When we walked along the rugged mountain road and gradually entered the mountain, what appeared in front of us was the winter scenery of the primeval forest. The coolness accompanied the silent and uninhabited mountain, as if the whole mountain was a paradise isolated from the world. We didn't wear much when we went up the mountain. When we first entered the mountain, our skin felt the cold air and the coldness of the isolation. The rugged mountain road made our bodies steam, but our cheeks, which were not moving, fully felt the unique coldness, as if they had no blood connection with our bodies. Perhaps it is because the layers of forests we saw in old pictures when we traveled in winter are now jumping into our eyes so realistically. The patches of deep green and the densely packed colored leaves that look like dots and surfaces make everyone's eyes feel the stimulation brought by the colors. We never thought that natural colors could be more visually impactful than the colors created by modern visual tools!
From heaven to canyon, from peak to valley. It is like the ups and downs of mountains, just like the ups and downs of life; the birds are singing in the empty mountains, accompanied by the wind, and the gurgling water is like a soulmate. Perhaps when we are in such an environment, we can put aside all the glitz and truly think about life; push away the thoughts in our hearts, and truly experience the artistic conception of "I will climb to the top of the mountain and look down on all the mountains"!
Red Dabie Mountains, green Tiantangzhai, Tiantangzhai, known as the last virgin forest in East China, is located in the Dabie Mountains and has long been famous. I went to Lu'an on May 1st and finally fulfilled my wish. After visiting the waterfalls, there is a long mountain road that is almost pristine, which is rare in general scenic spots. Along the way, I didn't see the azaleas that made the mountains red, but only saw some red buds sporadically. I think it's because the mountain climate is cold and the flowers haven't bloomed yet. Go up and pass the mark at the junction of Hubei and Anhui, and you will enter the Hubei scenic area. There is also a Tiantangzhai scenic spot in Luotian, Hubei. The two scenic spots are connected, so there is a saying that "one foot in two provinces, one ticket to see two scenes".
Tiantangzhai has beautiful scenery and simple folk customs. When I drove into the mountainous area in southern Anhui before reaching the scenic area, I personally thought that the scenery in the mountains was more beautiful, with mountains looming in the distance. There are many tea fields on the roadside.
Tiantangzhai Scenic Area has done a good job in protecting the natural environment. Eagle salamanders are very common. It is suitable for parent-child tours, surrounding tours, and classmate tours. As a project to get close to nature, it is still worth going. Generally, it is a two-day tour, and a one-day tour is not enough. But if you want a one-day tour, it is recommended to take the cable car directly to the waterfall group, and you don’t have to see the canyon.
It was very fresh. The air was also very good, and the temperature was a little low. Wearing a coat is a must when playing in the mountains. I saw a tour guide wearing a small down vest.
You have to queue up for the bus in the scenic area, even though there are fences. I personally feel that the tourists here are more... crowded together. In fact, if they line up neatly, the flow rate will be faster.
The mountain range stretching for thousands of miles separates the Yangtze River and the Huai River, forming the watershed between the northern and southern water systems in China. The climate and customs on both sides are quite different, hence the name.
The water quality in Anhui Tiantangzhai Canyon is excellent, meeting the national first-class surface drinking water standards, and supplies drinking water to citizens of Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province.
I still remember that I rode a motorcycle there, and it took me 6 hours to drive on the national highway! But it's still worth going! I like the blue sky and white clouds there, and the coolness on the top of the mountain...
Whenever you visit a farmer's home in Tiantangzhai during the first month of the lunar year, you will definitely taste the homemade cakes and pastries made by the locals. The most local dessert is the "rice flour rice cake".
Tiantangzhai is located deep in the Dabie Mountains, at the junction of Luotian, Hubei and Jinzhai, Anhui. There are tourist routes to Tiantangzhai in both provinces. Only ruins remain of the original Tiantangzhai, and the original inhabitants have basically moved out of the scenic area.
The most recent trip was during the summer of 2013. We set off early in the morning and chartered a bus. We had lots of fun along the way and arrived at Tiantangzhai before noon.
We went rafting on the first afternoon. We couldn’t take photos because everyone was soaked.
The next morning we entered Tiantangzhai Scenic Area. It was hot so we didn't take the kids to climb the mountain. We just played in the water. At the Rainbow Waterfall, we really saw a rainbow!
This was the first time Niuniu used a trekking pole. Actually, I had been here last year during the National Day holiday, but this time I didn’t go up the mountain, I just played in the water in the canyon. So not only did I not use the trekking pole, but the pole head often got stuck in the cracks of the wood on the plank road, which added a lot of trouble.
Go, any time of the year, before the tourists flock in. Just bring money with you, as it seems there are no ATMs anywhere.

The Dabie Mountain area is very large and is located at the junction of Anhui, Hubei and Henan provinces. It includes many scenic spots, among which Tiantangzhai is located at the junction of Hubei and Anhui. It is the second highest peak in the Dabie Mountains. The main peak of the Dabie Mountains, Baimajiao, is also within the scenic area.
Tiantangzhai is divided into two, Jinzhai (Anhui) Tiantangzhai (5A scenic spot) and Luotian (Hubei) Tiantangzhai (4A scenic spot), both of which are connected on the mountain. It is worth noting that there is no extra charge from Hubei to Anhui, but vice versa, you have to buy a ticket to Hubei again (5A is more generous, I heard that Hubei is contracted by a private boss). As a backpacker, of course you choose to go from Hubei to Anhui. Although the two are on the two sides of the mountain, their characteristics are different. Hubei is mainly for seeing mountains, while Anhui is for seeing water.
