Across the street, the world's fireworks are like blue lotus

Beiluoguxiang, which is across the street from Nanluoguxiang, is quiet and pleasant, and has not yet been influenced by the commercial atmosphere. Countless low-key and interesting shops are hidden in it, mixing the atmosphere of the market and literature.

The deeper you go into the alley, the farther away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and every step you take seems to bring a hint of surprise, chasing after beautiful things of happiness and peace, which have been accumulated over countless years.

Separated by a street: one is noisy and bustling, the other is quiet and leisurely. One is full of suffocating commercial atmosphere, the other is a different kind of literary and artistic petty bourgeoisie.

Beiluoguxiang meets Nanluoxiang, where there are fewer people and fewer tourists. There are many pubs, cafes, and cat houses hidden deep in the alleys...

The autumn in Beiluoguxiang in late autumn is also beautiful, with yellow leaves covering the ground, which is a beautiful sight.

The orange-flavored Arctic Ocean and the alleys filled with fresh green, this is what summer in Beijing tastes like.

Beiluoguxiang is on the west side of Andingmennei Street, running from north to south. It starts from Andingmen West Street in the north and ends at Gulou East Street in the south. It is connected to Huayuan North Lane, Huayuan Front Lane, Che Nian Dian Hutong, Xiejia Hutong, Fensiting Hutong, Beixiawazi Hutong, Dajingchang Hutong, and Dajingchang West Lane in the east, and to Dongtao Hutong, Qianfu Lane, Langjia Hutong, Shaluo Hutong, Jingtu Hutong, Liulisi Hutong, and Huafeng Hutong in the west. It is quite contradictory. Beiluoguxiang has not been developed, so it is relatively difficult to find it. It better maintains its original ecology and is a real modern Beijing hutong. But because of the "realness", the main lanes appear to be messy, with vehicles parked everywhere, which is very unsightly.

I heard it was a quiet alley, but maybe it was because of the Chinese New Year, it was no longer quiet, it was deserted. But you can see that they are all old Beijing houses, authentic old alleys. There is a small pink house that is very eye-catching, it is actually a popular drink shop called "Sugar Cube", but it has closed because of the Chinese New Year.

Beiluoguxiang is so beautiful and fun to visit. Nanluoguxiang is crowded with people, but Beiluoguxiang is quiet.

In Beiluoguxiang, we came across a very beautiful and huge ginkgo tree.

This is what autumn looks like

The south is still covered in green, while the north is like an impressionist painting, with rich and heavy tones.

If you don't have time to visit the lesser-known hutongs, you can visit Beiluoguxiang to the north while visiting Nanluoguxiang. Just one street away, Beiluoguxiang is suddenly less crowded with tourists and becomes quiet. Although it lacks the commercial atmosphere of Nanluoguxiang across the street, this street is not short of good shops and specialty cafes.

By Eye Color Mirror |

This place has not yet been influenced by commercial atmosphere and is quiet and livable. In the quiet alleys, there are countless interesting people and shops hidden.

Beiluo is more in line with the charm of the hutongs in my mind, with a mixture of urban atmosphere and literary flavor.

Like Nanluoguxiang, there are many small bars here. It is quiet and cold during the day, but at night, it probably takes on a different style. Young men and women who love summer nights love to go to such alleys.

Beiluo is also a centipede alley with many small alleys hidden on both sides. If you look inside, you can also see some nice scenery.

There are no yellow, blue or green bikes here, but every household has their own bicycle, which is parked at the doorstep, lazily basking in the sun.

As we walked deeper into the alley, the appearance of summer became clearer and clearer. The sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, and the light fell on the ground, becoming soft and comfortable. The summer in the alley was just as soft.

The deeper you go into the alley, the farther away the city feels. The noisy sounds of traffic can no longer be heard, and the quiet courtyard suddenly gives you the illusion of returning to the countryside.

I am fascinated by Hutong culture. I slow down and savor it carefully.

Beiluoguxiang belonged to the Yellow Banner in the Qing Dynasty, and everyone knows Nanluoguxiang. But we chose to take a different route this time. Compared with the crowded Nanluo, we found that Beiluoguxiang on the opposite side is a different world, and it is not inferior to Nanluo at all. It has not been influenced by the commercial atmosphere, and it is quiet and livable. In the quiet alleys, countless interesting people and shops are hidden. Beiluo is more in line with the charm of the alleys in my heart. The atmosphere of the market is mixed with the taste of literature and art! I want to come again after coming here once!

In the alley in the afternoon, there were people riding bicycles in groups of three or two. As they went deeper into the alley, the appearance of summer gradually became clearer. The sunlight shone through the gaps in the leaves, and the light spots fell on the ground, becoming soft and comfortable, and the summer in the alley was just as soft.

Keep walking along Nanluoguxiang and you will reach Beiluoguxiang. There are not many tourists in Beiluoguxiang, most of them are indigenous people. Most tour groups will return along the same route after visiting Nanluoguxiang.

By Pauline |

Beiluoguxiang is actually in the same straight lane as Nanluoguxiang, separated by a road. Beiluoguxiang has not been developed much, and there is not much commercial atmosphere. There are still many people living here, and it is very quiet and down-to-earth.

By Martian User |

It's usually quite quiet with not many people and not many things.

By zZz to Qin |

Beiluoguxiang is different from Nanluoguxiang in terms of its liveliness, and many shops are not even open yet.

Nowadays, many residents of Beijing's hutongs must be annoyed by us, the out-of-town tourists, who always want to run into other people's homes to take a look. Some people even put signs on their doors saying "Private residence, no visiting"

By dyke |

I only knew Nanluoguxiang before, but I didn't know there was Beiluoguxiang to the north. Later, I was attracted by a public account. On the last day of 2017, I walked out of Wudaoying Hutong and then walked to Beiluoguxiang. I started from the northernmost part. There were not many shops at the beginning. As I walked south, there were more and more Internet-famous shops. The decorations were all good and very suitable for posing. After seeing the photos shared by other netizens, I felt that the colors here would be richer in summer and autumn, but it would still be a bit monotonous in winter.

A north-south alley ~ separated from the famous Nanluoguxiang by Gulou East Street ~ There are fewer people than Nanluo, but there is a trend of gradual increase ~ The alley is generally more primitive, with a few cafes and creative shops scattered around ~ The most amazing thing is the golden ash trees in the alley, against the clear blue sky in autumn, which best fits the cool and comfortable autumn in old Beijing ~

By Li Xiaoqiang |

Without the hustle and bustle of Nanluoguxiang, there is more tranquility.

By Spring is coming |

If you are tired of visiting Nanluoguxiang in Beijing, you can experience the tranquility of Beiluoguxiang.

By Longli Purple Smoke |

Compared with Nanluoguxiang, it is quieter and full of the life atmosphere of the old alleys.

Beiluoguxiang, on the west side of Andingmennei Street, runs from north to south. It starts from Andingmen West Street in the north and ends at Gulou East Street in the south. It is connected to Huayuan North Lane, Huayuan Front Lane, Cheniandian Hutong, Xiejia Hutong, Fensiting Hutong, Beixiawazi Hutong, Dajingchang Hutong, and Dajingchang West Lane in the east, and to Dongtao Hutong, Qianfu Lane, Langjia Hutong, Shaluo Hutong, Jingtu Hutong, Liulishi Hutong, and Huafeng Hutong in the west. It is 866 meters long, 7 meters wide, and has an asphalt road surface.

A bunch of liars with a really bad attitude. Don't be fooled!

By Happy |

Beiluoguxiang is opposite to Nanluoguxiang. Compared with the hustle and bustle and commercialization of Nanluoguxiang, Beiluoguxiang is quiet and leisurely. After visiting Nanluoguxiang, you can walk to Beiluoguxiang. It is as magical as walking from summer to autumn. You don't need to join a tour group or take a rickshaw. You can appreciate its beauty by walking through one scene and one store at a time.

By China-TravelNote users |

Beiluoguxiang is definitely a rip-off. The 150 yuan per person package takes you on a rickshaw for 5 minutes, but it's not an alley at all. It's a place where people poop and urinate everywhere! It stinks! The so-called performance is just a small and broken stage that turns into a performance! This is simply for the sake of it! How dare they charge this price! I want to vomit! It's not worth even one star!

This alley is really quiet, not as noisy as Nanluoguxiang. It is very pleasant to ride a bike, stop and go, and take pictures. I personally recommend friends to come here for a walk. You can also see many uniquely decorated shops along the way~

Beiluoguxiang is very charming and has a cozy atmosphere. However, compared with other cities, the alleys in Beijing are quite spacious, and there are many small shops on both sides. I also like the sunshine, and the buildings are dazzling but very grand and clean. It is very suitable for taking some small photos and strolling slowly.

Coming out of Di'anmen subway station... I rode a Mobike... I walked through the hutongs... I felt my childhood memories of Beijing... I liked the authenticity of Beiluo... After walking through the hutongs, I went to a small restaurant with cats to relax... I liked the quiet and slow pace during the holidays...

By Ai Sui |

We live near Beiluoguxiang. There are many interesting ancient alleys along the way. We walked and strolled. Maybe it was the off-season or it was a little early, so the shops on the street were not open. The streets and alleys were very quiet. The door was very distinctive. Although there was no plaque, it should be a wealthy family. The chairs of different styles placed randomly in front of the door did not look messy, but added a sense of mystery and had its own style.

By Mo Xiaoyan |

The streets are very beautiful, and there are security guards standing guard at the important alley entrances. I personally think it is better than Nanluo, relatively quiet, and there are many small shops with various decorations.

Compared to the noisy and crowded Nanluo, I prefer the quiet Beiluo, which also has several unique shops. After you have visited Nanluo many times, you can go to Beiluo across the road (Gulou East Street) for a walk.

By Diplo |

Not far from Beiluoguxiang is a shop selling succulents. The succulents are so abundant and beautiful. I think the price is a bit expensive, but it doesn't stop me from taking a look, ahaha~

There are many interesting little shops here, and they have a nice atmosphere. They have business hours, and they look like some kind of private club. I don't know what it's like inside. The eaves are covered with creepers, and it looks like a home in the old Beijing Hutong. It's really beautiful.

By Thousand-lala |

It is not as commercial as Nanluoguxiang. It is full of private residences and has more flavor.

By Yang Douding's mumbling |

I was really discouraged by the crowded scene in Nanluoguxiang at any time, so I chose Beiluoguxiang, which is quieter and more like old Beijing. There are some shops in the alley, but most of them are ordinary people. Maybe we went too early, many shops were not open yet. Listening to the aunties walking their dogs chatting about when the natural gas pipeline would be installed, I felt that this is the life of ordinary people in Beijing. ▼Beiluoguxiang was the territory of the Bordered Yellow Banner during the Qing Dynasty. The people living here are all the emperor's personal soldiers~

Compared to Nanluoguxiang, Beiluoguxiang is quieter and has many old Beijing alleys.

Very good, very fun, very exciting,

By Meatball Sauce |

I prefer Beiluoguxiang to the hustle and bustle of Nanluoguxiang.

I did research on this topic with a professor when I was in college, but I never got to this topic.

Although we are native Beijingers, we often overlook many of the sights around us.

Work is not busy in the off-season recently, so I took advantage of the smog and sunshine to skip work in the afternoon and walk around Nanbeiluoguxiang~

By Purple Mood |

Beiluoguxiang is located opposite Nanluoguxiang in Baochao Hutong. There are not as many shops as Nanluoguxiang, but there are relatively fewer people. Compared with the bustling and noisy Nanluoguxiang, it is a bit quieter here. There are several well-decorated small shops and cafes on the street. The only branch of the famous Paradise Time in Beijing is located on this street. If you want to experience the afternoon time in the imperial capital, this is a good choice. Nearby transportation is tram 107, tram 124, etc., the station is Baochao Hutong.

By In a moment |

Because Nanluoguxiang is so popular, Beixiang has been neglected, but it still has the feeling of an old alley.

I recommend the Cat Courtyard in Beiluoguxiang. The owner is very nice, and the house is full of cats of all kinds and shapes. You can bully them however you want. The food is also super delicious!!!

Beiluoguxiang, where you can find the quiet time you want

Compared with Nanluoguxiang, Beiluoguxiang is more peaceful. They are both hutongs, full of petty bourgeoisie flavor, but because there are fewer people, Beiluoguxiang is more peaceful.
