There is a hotel in Shidu Scenic Area that grows a lot of cherries, which you can pick by yourself. There is a development base in cooperation with Kailas nearby, where you can kayak, rock climb, high ropes projects, etc. It is a great location to escape from the center of Beijing.

In my spare time, I went to the nearby Shidu Legu Silver Beach on weekends and took some videos of the trip for reference.

Drive about 3 kilometers northwest from Zhangfang Town, Fangshan District, and you will reach Yidu. From there, continue to drive northwest for 16 kilometers to Shidu. The road runs along the Juma River, with towering cliffs, beautiful river beaches and picturesque scenery along the way. It has a bit of the artistic conception of Guilin landscape.

It's just so-so. With the recent environmental protection campaign, many water sports have been cancelled, which makes the entertainment much less fun. The mountain rafting is too cheap.

Shidu is a well-developed large tourist attraction with convenient transportation. There are direct buses from Tianqiao Hub Station. The food, accommodation and entertainment facilities are very complete, and the natural scenery is also remarkable. It was previously affected by the 7.21 flood, but it has now recovered.

Consumption is hardest hit. There are many people. The county roads are often blocked and difficult to travel.

The scenery is really very very very average. After going up, all the items are charged. Although the pass includes most of the items, there is really not much to play! Fake mountains, fake water, and artificial landscapes! Even the bungee jumping, which is known as the best in Shenzhou, is a separate charging item, which is understandable, but whether it is reasonable or not is another matter. The key is that the service is really at the level of bungee jumping! People who have been here will definitely not come again, and those who have not come here also advise you to think more open-mindedly and take a detour.

I went there in the summer. It's not far from Beijing by car. There are rafting, plank roads and suspension bridges. It's a bit hot. It's a good place for a one-day weekend trip.

On November 1, 2018, my parents took me, Li Muchen's family and I to Shidu. However, we were caught in a road repair on the way to Hongjing Road, so we didn't make it. It was a pity. We can only wait until next summer! It was so cold halfway up the mountain. We took a group photo and went home! Li Muchen and I looked so happy, haha!

First of all, let's make it clear that Shidu is not a place name in the strict sense, but a general term. There are ten ferry crossings in one place, from No. 1 to No. 13, extending along the road. You should remember to distinguish this when taking a bus or driving. Of course, the most concentrated tourist resources in the entire scenic area are at No. 9 and No. 10 (the tenth ferry crossing).



Generally speaking, it is best to get off at Jiudu, because there are many water parks there, including rafting, mountain cableways, bungee jumping, etc., and there are many farmhouses, which are convenient for accommodation and meals. It is recommended to find a place to stay in Jiudu on the day of arrival, which is generally 100 yuan per night. Some farmhouses will provide discounted tickets for attractions, so some attractions will be dozens of yuan cheaper. After that, you can start playing nearby, which takes about half a day.

If you have time, you can go to Shidu (the tenth ferry crossing) next. The two attractions are about one kilometer apart. Shidu has the famous glass plank road and various rafting water projects. It is the place with the most traffic. You can find a farmhouse in advance to buy cheap tickets at this attraction.

In general, if you can arrive at Shidu Scenic Area before 10 am, you can visit Jiudu and Shidu in one day, and you can go and return on the same day, but if you arrive late, you may need to stay overnight.



My route is to take the bus to Jiudu in the morning, check in at a restaurant and then travel light. In the morning, I will play the cable car and bungee jumping in Jiudu, visit the glass plank road in the afternoon, and stroll on the street in the evening to see the night view of the mountains.

I went to Shidu during my college graduation season. Our team consisted of 9 people and chartered a small bus. This was the most profound experience I had in all my travels. We played and ate together. This is what it means to be like-minded.

If you want to go to the Oath Glass Plank Road, it is best to go before 10 am or in the afternoon, because you have to climb to the top of the mountain to see it, and it will be very hot at noon.



You can buy tickets from the owner of the farmhouse, which is cheaper. The service of the local farmhouse is very good, not cheating people, and the locals don't force sales.

We went there in a hurry. We walked the glass plank road, mountain rafting, and bungee jumping. We went in a group, so there were many people. The Provence we stayed in didn't feel very good, but the two theme rooms next to Provence were very good and not too expensive. We drove by ourselves and played while walking. The food in Provence was not very good. The next few meals were at the restaurant opposite the bungee jumping, which seemed to be called (Brothers Sichuan Restaurant). The taste was okay. For bungee jumping, I went alone and waited in line for a long time. They all said that you have to go through something to jump to feel free and easy. I felt that I didn't feel empty at all after jumping and walking on the glass plank road 😂. In fact, it is more exciting to go up the glass plank road to the top level. There are 11 of us. There is a fee of 50 yuan per person to go to the top of the glass plank road. The most exciting part is this 50 yuan section, but it seems that I didn't feel anything after bungee jumping. Mountain rafting is very exciting. In hot weather, you can go swimming in the river. The water is very cool. I was busy playing and didn't take any photos. There is a video of the glass plank road, which cannot be uploaded. I only have a bungee jumping ticket, so I'll make do with it. The scenery is really good. The main food there is "Chinese sturgeon". There is no food after 12 o'clock in the evening. Bring your own instant noodles and snacks. As for playing cards, the playing cards in Provence are pirated, so you can bring your own. Well, that's all for now.

Be sure to buy tickets from the tour guide, because if you go to the ticket office, the helicopter is 600 per person, which is very expensive. The bamboo raft is included in the fee of more than 90 yuan. It is in a fenced lake, not too big, with 4 people in a group. It takes 20 minutes to drift and then go rafting. The rafting fee refers to flat drifting, which takes about 30 minutes. The water flow is relatively gentle. In the river, it drifts down from Shidu to Jiudu. The driver is waiting for us at Jiudu. If you go alone, it costs 100 yuan per person, so it is still appropriate to go with a group. Halfway through the drift, we encountered a company team building. A group of more than a dozen people were distributed on both sides of the river. They would attack passers-by with basins, buckets, water guns, etc., so girls had better wear raincoats, which are sold at the entrance. However, there is another way. When you are about to approach them, say loudly: We are not from your company, don't splash.

Shidu is far from the city. You can drive there on weekends or take a tourist bus online. Bungee jumping is located in Shidu. Adult tickets are 260 yuan each. It is recommended to go early so that the queue can be faster. It is not dangerous, but it is very exciting. It is basically noon when bungee jumping is finished. After eating something, you can go to the glass plank bridge of Sandu, high drift and low drift to play in the water.

I didn't expect that there is such a beautiful place here. There are stepped water curtains, beaches, swimming areas, water parks, self-service barbecues, and tent areas. The sunshine is particularly strong, but only in this way can there be a good view, really, blue sky, white clouds. My little girl had a lot of fun.

The weather was bad on the day I went there. Bungee jumping was exciting, but the attitude of the female staff was average. It's worth a try.

I felt the life of May Day. There were people everywhere. I wanted to go rafting, but there was a long queue. There were people in the river one after another. I had to walk out of the crowd and find another place. Later, I spent 50 yuan to ride a horse. Shidu was a bit of a scam. It said 50 yuan per lap, but the lap was less than 50 meters. I felt like I was being ripped off! After riding the horse, I was ready to go rafting, but there were indeed many people in Shidu.

Shidu is a very large scenic spot! There are many attractions. In the morning, we went to Zuma Park and chose a 200 yuan ticket. It is too commercialized. It feels like I just paid for a cable car ride. Except for the bamboo raft and the viewing platform, everything else is bland. The road to the scenic spot is under construction, which may cause traffic congestion. In the afternoon, we visited Gushanzhai. The waterfall is nice, but we didn't go to the thin line of sky due to time constraints.

Located in Fangshan, it is a good place for summer sightseeing and swimming. It is a paradise for those who like rafting and swimming. The water is not deep, and you can jump directly from the boat to swim, but you must pay attention to safety.

I specially went on a two-day trip alone (important) to write something different from the reviews that are all full of praise.

First, we went to Shidu at around 5pm. Since we couldn't go sightseeing, we walked around everywhere. We found that all the attractions and places to play required money. The package tickets were extremely deceptive, especially for people who traveled alone (more on that later);

I stayed in a mountain villa: Shanshui Renjia. I went there after reading the reviews here. I couldn't cancel or get a refund even if I booked in advance. I suffered a loss. Specifically, where is the cleanliness you mentioned? The quilt made me itch all over after sleeping, the toilet leaked from the side, there was no hot water for taking a shower, the slippers were flip-flops from nowhere, and there were nails on both sides that pricked my feet. The TV was the kind that was N years old, with all kinds of snow signals and distorted pictures... Anyway, it was all very unpleasant. Is this the kind of farmhouse that is rated as good on China-TravelNote? Are you kidding me!

Let's talk about the tour. As I said before, it's not friendly to single people, because almost all the activities require more than 2 people to play. I spent the most expensive 298 package, but I could only watch. What the hell is that rafting? I actually saw a quarrel between tourists and boat staff. It was because the other party was also alone and didn't want to fight with strangers, so he was scolded! Seeing this, I decisively took off my life jacket and escaped. In short, the water activities were just one person paddling a bamboo raft, sitting on a speedboat for less than 30 seconds, and then going to the shade to practice immortality.

Well, it can't be all bad. The ropeway is worth recommending. There are too many people on the Skybus, but it's more pleasant. After all, it's very high. The viewing platform at more than 750 meters is still under construction (limited to 10 people, but there is no one on site to maintain order. What if there are too many people, what if something happens). The shrine is rubbish, the performance is not even as good as the Errenzhuan, don't watch it, don't buy it; the haunted house is not clear, it's pitch black, and I don't recommend it; the flying wing starts and ends in 20 seconds, the staff is indifferent, I want to beat him up; the cold drink sellers at the top of Juma River Park are black merchants, an ice cream and a bottle of water are 15 yuan, and you can't even sit on the chair if you don't buy it.

In short, the thing that affected me the most was the rafting. They cursed at people and didn't consider the tourists. The second was the crappy farm stays (of course the tourists I met also recommended good ones, but forget about Shanshui Renjia). All the farm stays I wanted to play were charged under the same routine model, and each project was so unaffordable that I couldn't even afford it. I won't say more, and I was very tired from traveling all the way from Tangshan.

I don't know where all the good reviews for this farm come from, are they blind or are they just scammers? As for the rest, it depends on the person.

Finally, I spent 150 yuan on a three-course meal and two beers by myself. Are you kidding me? See the picture!

Shidu, a place for rafting. Located in the southwest of Fangshan District, Beijing, it is a national AAAA scenic spot with the reputation of Little Guilin. After rafting, there are many free activities, such as mountain climbing, bamboo rafting, and scary bungee jumping. Courageous friends can experience it. The scenery is still very beautiful. During the mountain climbing, there are small rivers all the way. It is cool and refreshing. I didn't feel hot, but it was very sunny, so I still have to sit for sun protection. Bring a small hat, sunscreen spray, selfie stick, and power bank, which are all necessities for going out. The ticket price is 80 yuan.

I remember when I was still a university student in Beijing, I took a train with my classmates to visit Shidu for the first time. It was drizzling that day, and the clouds and mist were lingering, connecting with the peaks of Shidu. The Juma River flowed at the foot of the mountain, like a beautiful black and white landscape painting, which was impressive. I always think that Shidu is the place in the north that is most like the Guilin landscape in the south of the Yangtze River. Shidu is the only large-scale karst landform in northern China, and Guilin landscape is a typical representative of the karst landform in southern China. The scenery is beautiful. We walked a section of the mountain road from Shidu to the north, which was similar to five consecutive hairpin bends and was very beautiful.

To be honest, I just came back from Puzhehei, Yunnan. I don't like Shidu. It's too different from the mountains and rivers in the south. But it's a good place in Beijing. Many people go there for rafting, and some people go there for farmhouses. It's a good choice for weekend relaxation and communication. For rafting, choose Sandu. I went to Gushanzhai. The ticket price is 75, which doesn't seem worth it. The student ticket is 30, and the Meituan group purchase is 49, which can be picked up on site. It takes about two hours to take the 917 bus or the West Station train from the city.

I come here almost every two years. I think this is a good place for Beijing and Tianjin to enjoy the mountains and waters. I go to Gushanzhai to paddle bamboo rafts and play some water sports. There is plenty of oxygen in summer, and there may be more tourists on weekends. The surrounding farmhouses are well-equipped, clean, and reasonably priced!

Shidu Scenic Area has a practical area of ​​301 square kilometers and is the largest natural scenic area in Beijing (length, width and distance). It starts from Yidu Village in the east, ends at Dashadi in the west, Sanqing Cave in the north, and Gaoliang Mountain in the south. It is about 40 kilometers long from east to west and 25 kilometers wide from north to south. The highest point in the scenic area is Dawajian, 1210.8 meters above sea level, the second highest point is Niujiao Mountain, 1176.94 meters above sea level, and the lowest point is Zhangfang, 84.2 meters above sea level. The lowest point in Shidu Town is Wudu, with an altitude of 135 meters.

I went to Shidu in 2009. My second uncle drove us there in a circle. The temperature was over 40 degrees in summer. I went there just for bungee jumping. Shidu Scenic Area is open all day. The opening hours of attractions and entertainment projects are about 8:00-17:00. It is located in the southwest of Fangshan District, Beijing. It is the only large-scale karst landform in northern China. It is a national AAAA scenic spot and a national geological park in China. The ticket is 14 yuan (40% off for adults with credit cards; 20% off for students with bus cards.) The bus tour company "You 10 Road" can also easily reach there.

Shidu is a great place, with many farmhouses and real-life drifting CF. But it's laser.

It is about 80 kilometers away from downtown Beijing. The scenic area is a karst landform, which is rare in North China and features canyons, peaks and river valleys. I have been there several times since I started working in the 1980s. I have a good impression of it and the scenery is beautiful. But in recent years, it has become a bit commercial.

1. From Suzhuang Subway Station, take the 917 Zhangfang Section/917, which takes about two and a half hours. Suitable for: living in the south of Beijing. A place with mountains and water in the suburbs of Beijing. There are more people on weekends, because it is very rare to have such a place in the north. As a southerner, this place feels really ordinary, but it is still worth a visit, and the mountains here are very unique! You can just look at the first picture. The mountains are layered. My father said it is a bit like the mountains in Zhangjiajie! But there are not as many mountains as in Zhangjiajie.

I went to the Gushanzhai in Liuduna, which is a relatively large scenic spot. The ticket price varies depending on the items included. It is suitable for family trips, friends gatherings, and outdoor training. It is also OK for couples to travel, because the mountain here is not very high and it is not hard to climb. I came in September, and the weather in Beijing was already cool. I didn’t sweat much even after walking slowly under the sun, and there was always a cool place.

The disadvantage is that the water shortage in the north is confirmed. The streams and waterfalls here are too difficult to survive because the water is too small! It feels like they will dry up in a few years... And the sanitary conditions here are really bad, with garbage all over the riverbed... It pollutes the environment.

I only played bungee jumping. I was very disappointed the first time. The staff had a very bad attitude and no one played bungee jumping. It was not worth 260 yuan. 100 yuan was about right. I will not go there again. I heard that Chaoyang Park also has it and it is cheaper and closer.
