If possible, don't go on weekends. The weather was not good on October 20, it was gray and there was smog.

We set off at 8 o'clock in the morning and the navigation estimated that we would arrive at 9 o'clock. However, there was a traffic jam when we were 3 kilometers away, so we actually arrived at almost 10 o'clock. We parked the car at Parking Area 1 and took a shuttle bus, which was about 5 kilometers away. It was not an exaggeration to say that the scenic area was crowded with people. People were squeezed together and the road was very narrow. It was not a good experience at all!

Climbing the mountain is actually quite physically demanding, so it is recommended that you eat something before going up the mountain. Don't rush up on an empty stomach, as you may not be able to hold on.

The scenery in the mountains is very nice. The higher you climb, the better it is. This season we are looking at the Cotinus coggygria.

It took about three or four hours from the beginning to the end. One of us couldn't climb any more and another fainted from hunger. So we didn't make it to the top, which was a little regretful.

In addition, the ticket price is 30 for adults and 15 for children (free for children under 1.2 meters tall). One adult ticket comes with a 10-yuan coupon that can be used at the designated restaurant at the foot of the mountain.

The specialty might be the fried noodles. There was a long queue, but more than ten bowls could be produced from that big pot, so the process was quite fast.

Soy milk, tofu and other soy products are also good, but the taste of brine is too strong. I personally don't appreciate it very much.

Overall, the meal was not expensive. We were six people and one child, and the total cost was less than 200 yuan. Five bowls of noodles, three dishes, seven soy milks, one orange juice, and two Arctic Ocean.

The overall feeling is good, because we went in May, there are not many people. Remember to spray mosquito repellent and sunscreen when entering the mountain. There are many mosquitoes in the mountain. There are always bees surrounding me and stinging me.

I personally suggest not to go there in October or November. My colleague went there and just went there to see people. You can't go up the mountain, and you can't go down the mountain. Pofengling is beautiful in spring and summer.

The company organized a trip and there was a real traffic jam for a long time. There might be only one road leading into the mountain and the road was too narrow to divert traffic. I don't know how Pofengling became so famous. I saw tourist buses from Tianjin and Hebei along the way.

There were many people at the entrance, but as you climbed up the mountain, there were fewer people. There were different routes for going up and down the mountain. The scenery was average when you went up with the main group, but the scenery was good and there were fewer people when you went down the mountain. Generally speaking, if you climb slowly when there are not many people here, it is a good place to relax, but with the density of people in this scenic area now, it would not be worthwhile to spend 50 yuan to come here.

Actually, there is really no need to go. I went there on Monday and was stuck in traffic for a long time. The scenery at the entrance was too commercial. The mountain is not high, and there were aunties and uncles all over the mountain taking pictures. I don’t recommend it!

When going down the mountain, there are many people queuing for the shuttle bus, and the order is not good. It takes a long time to queue. Many people walk down the mountain, walk one stop, and go to Parking lot 2. It takes about 30 minutes to walk slowly, and about 15 minutes to walk fast. You can take the shuttle bus again. It is not crowded and there are seats. It is 5 kilometers away to walk directly to Parking lot 3. When returning to Beijing, the road to Beijing is still congested. Everyone understands.



Food: There are many vendors at the foot of the mountain. If you come out early and haven't eaten yet, you can buy some corn and sweet potatoes. When you enter the scenic area, you will see a sea of ​​food. The famous 10 yuan bowl of fried noodles is there, but you have to queue up at the order counter to pay and get the ticket, then queue up to get the noodles, and then get the sauce. There are many stalls at the foot of the mountain, and many people buy. The hawthorn is very sour, and the persimmons are available in soft and hard varieties. It depends on what you like.



Hiking: There are a lot of people on the mountain. Most of the red leaves are not maple leaves, but they are also beautiful. It's just that it got colder this year, so the leaves dried up while they were red. The mountain road is narrow and there are many steps. Stop when you want to take pictures, don't take pictures while walking. The mountain is very big, you don't have to go inside. It takes a lot of time to walk around the outside because you have to stop and take pictures.
