Tasha Village

The Tasha Village built along the stream is famous for its scenery. Strolling along the shore, whether it is the blue brick buildings, the stone arch bridge across the stream, or the cobblestone paths in front of and behind the buildings, you can feel the charm of this typical Hakka village. The shapes of the earthen buildings in the village are very diverse. In addition to the common round and square earthen buildings, there are also apron-shaped and L-shaped ones. What's more unique is that there are two round earthen buildings at the bend of the winding stream. If you spend 15 minutes climbing to the observation deck on the top of the hill, a panoramic view of the "Tai Chi" water village will be presented to you.

Just as the introduction of the scenic spot says, Tasha Village is "surrounded by water on both sides". Walking along the stream while enjoying the scenery gives people a sense of longed-for life.

There are many inns of all sizes in the village, and even earthen buildings that can be lived in. If you come to travel in summer, you can choose to live here, because there are places to watch fireflies in the village in summer, and it is said that there is a fee. The living conditions of fireflies are relatively harsh, which is enough to show the beauty of Tasha Village.

The scenery along the stream is picturesque. Sitting down anywhere and tasting the dried mangoes bought from Yuchang Building is a harmonious scene.

Mustard greens dried by villagers can be seen everywhere in the village. They are used to make pickled mustard greens, which are different from the ones made in Wuhan, so the pickled mustard greens here are worth a try and the price is not expensive.

Tasha Village and Tulou King are attractions packaged together. Regardless of whether you stay at the hotel or not, you have to pay to enter the village. After all, it is a World Heritage Site. Although the World Heritage List only has a few Tulou buildings, everyone understands the principle of prosperity. Fortunately, Tasha Village is in a remote location and can only be reached by car, so it is not very commercial.

Tasha Village is a long village built along the river. There is only one lane through the village. Some places are very narrow, so you have to be very careful when passing other cars. There is an inconspicuous path at the entrance of Tasha Village, where you can climb up the slope and have a panoramic view of the tower.

The village is built along the riverbank, and the color of the earthen buildings matches the green of the mountains and rivers. At the top of the village is the Zhang clan ancestral hall called Deyuan Hall, and 24 stone dragon flagpoles, all of which are cultural relics with a long history.

By Jiao Youyou |

Teacher Zhang from our team talked about his wish. If he lives to be 100 years old, he will come here to erect a stone dragon flagpole, and then treat the whole village to a meal according to the rules!

From north to south, Tasha Village has changed from a reclusive old man to a vigorous young man, and finally to a young woman. The style is changeable. In the most prosperous and lively area in the middle section, single-courtyard earth and brick-wood structure hanging corner buildings are built on both sides of the rushing stream, forming a wonderful landscape of large buildings with small buildings and staggered layout of high and low. There are also 11 small bridges of various shapes across the two sides of the stream, which decorate the village very elegantly. No wonder Tasha Village is also known as the "Zhouzhuang" of southern Fujian.

In Tasha Village, a long stream runs through the village. On both sides of the stream are earthen buildings built against the mountain. Every hundred meters or so, there is a stone arch bridge connecting the earthen buildings and houses at the foot of the mountain and by the stream. The houses are located by the water, which is a picture of the Jiangnan water village. It is praised by people as the "Zhouzhuang of Southern Fujian".

By Zhang Chao |

It is a quiet place with mountains, water and people. It was built in 1426 and has more than 300 households. The earthen buildings are built along the river and are evenly distributed on both sides. The earthen buildings are rich in shape, including the common square and round earthen buildings, as well as apron-shaped and L-shaped earthen buildings.

Because of its strange shape and unique style, it is known as "the mythical mountain building in Tasha Village from a bird's eye view."

By Get used to it, it's fine |

Weekend! We arrived the day before "Bai Lu" landed. The scenic area was closed and only people could leave but not enter. It became the exclusive place for sporadic tourists, enjoying the rare small bridges, flowing water and people's homes, quiet and leisure.

By Xiao Bing 88 |

Tianluokeng-Yuchanglou-Tasha Village is a tourist route, and there are tourist buses connecting these three places. Tasha Village is quite suitable for accommodation, and there are many inns to choose from. There are square earth buildings, round earth buildings, large and small. You can also go up the hill to see the distant view, or make a cup of tea by the stream. It seems that in summer, you can see fireflies in Tasha Village at night.

By Flying guinea pig |

Very good! You must go! Going to Tasha Village can feel what a paradise is, and the people are simple and honest.

By Mr. Origin |

Tasha Village was actually the original intention of my visit. The reason was that I wanted to travel to a place with few tourists. I was not disappointed. It was so quiet at night with only the sound of running water, which was suitable for... well, health preservation.

By Myna |

There are not as many tourists under the tower as in Tianluokeng. At night, the tour groups dispersed and only individual travelers were left, so it was still very quiet. The restaurants are mainly concentrated around the arch bridge. As the night darkens and the colorful lights come on, you can sit by the stream, order a few small dishes, and drink a pot of wine, and enjoy yourself.

There are people selling fireworks by the bridge. Taking a fireworks portrait together is the best way to please girls.

After dinner, you can stroll around the village. If you are not satisfied, you can go to a bar. There is a small bar next to the apron building that is not too noisy.

After midnight, the sky is dotted with stars. If you come here in summer, it should be a holy place for taking photos of the starry sky. Climb up the hill and take photos of the Milky Way.

By Moon Shadow |

The place is very small, and the main thing to see is the ancestral hall, but there is no introduction to things of real historical value. Instead, everyone talks at length about the people from their own village. To be honest, who can remember what celebrities you have produced? But your village's unique architecture, decorative techniques, and local customs are what make the tourists who come here remember it.

By I'm alone in the world |

The scenery is beautiful and the folk customs are simple, it is worth a visit.

By Swan Geese Gliding |

Walking under the tower, you will see a village formed by many earthen buildings on both sides of a river. The "apron building" that cannot be missed is the one that looks like an apron among all the earthen buildings.

By Maruko |

It is called the Longevity Village. It is said that there are more than 20 people over 100 years old. It is also said that taking a breath here can extend your life by 50 years. It is really magical, haha~

A very quiet place with beautiful mountains and clear waters. It is a good place for leisure and summer vacation.

By Northwest Flowers |

Along the banks of the stream, there are single-courtyard earthen and brick-wood structures, as well as 42 square, round, apron-shaped, and L-shaped earthen buildings, forming an ancient village landscape with large buildings and small buildings, with different heights. The oldest earthen building here, Fuxing Building, was built in the fourth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (1631). Each earthen building is centered on the ancestral hall, with halls, courtyards organized around the main hall, and groups organized around the courtyards, reflecting the traditional virtues of respecting ancestors, being harmonious with the clan, and uniting and helping each other.

By Yiren Tea |

Tasha Village is a village built along a winding stream. There are stone arch bridges, earthen buildings, and the Zhang family temple Deyuan Hall, a national key cultural relic protection unit. Southerners have a strong sense of clan consciousness, and large families all have ancestral halls. The most eye-catching feature of the Zhang Ancestral Hall in Tasha Village is the 24 stone dragon flagpoles erected outside the door.

By Tulipa serrata |

Tasha Village is a typical Hakka village in China. Time is limited. The bus to the village stopped for 1 hour. The bus stop is about 1 kilometer away from the village. You have to leave time for the round trip. In fact, the time to visit the village is very short. You can only run and take pictures. It is not very fun. If you drive by yourself, you can leave a lot of time to visit.

It is a treasure of art. I was dazzled by it. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to look at it carefully. I especially like the murals and architectural sculptures.

By Sakura~Maple fox |

It is known as Zhouzhuang in Southern Fujian, with small bridges, flowing water and people. The Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall is the biggest highlight, with the small river and earthen buildings forming a Tai Chi pattern.

By Flowers bloom sweetie |

It's a long village with a lot of cars on the road. It's very noisy. It's a one-day tour with some attractions. The locals seem to be simple and honest. People are still washing clothes by the river in winter.

Tasha Village is located in Shuyang Town, Nanjing County. It is the village with the most village-level earthen buildings in China. In the village with a radius of one square kilometer, there are 47 square, round, apron-shaped and L-shaped earthen buildings scattered around. These earthen buildings are scattered in the valley. A small river winds through the village. More than a dozen stone arch bridges and concrete slab bridges cross the river. From the nearby hillside, you can overlook the entire Tasha. It has a lot of Tai Chi Bagua shapes. It is known as Zhouzhuang in Southern Fujian and Phoenix in Fujian. It is indeed a rare paradise. We live at the head of Tasha Village. After settling in, we went out and walked down along the rushing stream. The east and west mountains of Tasha Village extend northward. One kilometer away from the end of the village, a mountain pier extends westward and merges in the Qiqiutian area. The river also turns here and flows behind the mountain. The mountain pier is like a gate guarding the outlet, and the locals call it the iron fan gate. From the perspective of Feng Shui, the wealth of Tasha Village does not flow out, and evil does not enter. Talents are born in great numbers, and it is indeed a paradise isolated from the world. Walking down the river, there are all kinds of quaint houses and earthen buildings on both sides of the river. Many earthen buildings have been renovated and transformed into inns for tourists to experience the taste of earthen buildings, but the conditions of earthen buildings are limited. After all, they are the product of the historical era at that time, and the accommodation is not very comfortable and convenient. The earthen buildings in Tasha Village still maintain a relatively quiet environment. Most of them are still inhabited. Unlike the earthen buildings developed for tourism in other places, they are all selling various commodities and local specialties. You can feel the quiet life when you walk in quietly. The most beautiful place to appreciate Tasha Village is at the top of the hill in the west, where you can see Tasha Village like a Tai Chi Bagua shape, and the river flows through the village in an S shape. However, the entrance to this mountain climbing is very difficult to find. There is no obvious sign. When you are about to reach the end of the village, you can go up the gap between the houses on both sides. The locals don’t speak Mandarin very well. I consulted several passers-by before I finally found the entrance. The climb is not too strenuous, and it takes about 20 minutes to reach the destination. However, there is a fork in the dirt road, and you need to have good judgment to go up the dirt road on the right side when you reach the fork. There are persimmon trees on both sides of the mountain road. The red and ripe persimmons are not only the subject of photography, but also a delicacy. You can never buy such good persimmons in supermarkets in the city.

Tasha Village is a scenic spot on Nanjing Line A. Go to Nanjing Railway Station and take bus No. 6 to the Tulou Reception Center. Please note that bus No. 6 departs from the railway station every hour. If there is no bus, don't wait foolishly. You can take bus No. 1 or No. 2 to the bus station, where bus No. 6 runs every 10 minutes. Since the scenic spots on Line A are far away, we chartered a bus for Line A for 200 yuan. We first went to Tasha Village, then went to Dongdaoxiwailou, and finally went to Tianluokeng Tulou Tasha Village. There are also sightseeing buses, but you have to wait. Tasha Village is a quiet little village with small bridges and flowing water. It is full of the atmosphere of the ancient town. Along the bluestone road, you can reach a famous local ancestral hall, Deyuan Hall. There is a half-moon-shaped pond in front of the hall, with 23 stone dragon flagpoles on both sides, which is very impressive.

By Puff God |

It's just so-so. If you have time, you can go there because it's included in the package. If you don't have time, you don't have to go there. If you want to stay overnight here, it's also a good place. The downside is that the scenery may not be particularly amazing.

By Helen Xiaoshijie |

There are many places to eat and stay in the village, so some people choose this place as their base. Although this earth building in the village is not very famous and is just an ordinary one among the more than 3,000 earth buildings in Fujian, it is also our first close contact with it.

By Tracy Chen |

A village built by a stream, the stream flows through the pebble riverbed, the water is clear and you can see the bottom.

The stone pavement beside the stream is moist and smooth, and people on both sides of the river live by the water, just like Wuyuan.

When standing on the hillside and looking over the Tasha Village, the terraced fields, the winding stream, and the village lying peacefully in the valley create a scene of paradise.

This is not a recommended tourist attraction as it is too commercialized, but not as commercialized as Phoenix.

The Nanjing Tulou chose to live in Tasha Village, which is a very nice small village. I hope it doesn’t become more and more commercialized.

First of all, Tasha Village is not as famous as Yunshuiyao. Secondly, Tasha Village is a bit big, but the roads on both sides are very narrow and there is no place to park. Later I learned that there are too few people who drive here by themselves. Most of them are tourist buses, which park at Yuchang Building and then walk over (the distance is very long).

Compared with Yunshuiyao, Tasha Village appears to be more primitive and simple.

Tasha Village is a Hakka village with a Confucian style and ancient charm. Dozens of earthen buildings are interspersed with small blue brick houses, scattered in a long and narrow valley. A mountain stream flows through the bottom of the valley, ding-donging under small stone bridges, adding a touch of clear beauty to the simplicity of the mountain village.

There are many small inns, small shops and snack bars along the coast. Obviously, the footsteps of tourists have disturbed the tranquility here. However, this isolated small mountain village is still very beautiful and authentic.

The narrow and quiet stone steps bypass the earthen building, pass through the old house, and lead to Deyuan Hall on the hillside. It is a Zhang clan ancestral hall with Fujian style and flavor. On the small stone platform next to it, along a half-moon-shaped shallow pool, there are more than 20 stone pillars. They are thin and tall, with relief lions and dragons and inscribed characters, which is very special.

They are called dragon flagpoles, and were originally pillars of merit used by the Zhang family from generation to generation to honor those who studied hard and made progress.

Tasha Village belongs to Shuyang Town, Nanjing County, Fujian Province. It is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Zhangzhou and one of the first 15 Chinese landscape villages. The earthen buildings are built along the river and are evenly distributed on both sides. The earthen buildings are rich in form, including the common square and round earthen buildings, as well as apron-shaped and L-shaped earthen buildings. The most unique is that there are single-courtyard civil and brick-wood structure hanging corner buildings in the Zhejiang-Hangzhou water village model, forming a wonderful landscape of large buildings with small buildings and high and low staggered layouts. Tasha Village is located in Shuyang Town, Nanjing County. All the residents of Tasha Village are Hakkas with the surname Zhang. There are more than 50 square and round earth buildings of various sizes, and more than 30 exquisite blue brick buildings with local characteristics. A clear and blue river with an S-shaped bend runs through the village along the mountain, like the boundary of a yin and yang fish, dividing the village into "Tai Chi Liang Yi", known as "Southern Fujian Zhouzhuang" and "Tai Chi Water Village". There are many scenic spots in Tasha Village, and the scenery is beautiful. You can often see some art friends sketching here. Zhang's ancestral temple "Deyuan Hall" is worth a visit. At 7 o'clock in the morning, we ran up the mountain with cameras on our backs to take a bird's-eye view of the earth buildings in Tasha Village. The persimmons on the mountain began to turn red. It is said that eating persimmons on an empty stomach can easily cause stones, but we still couldn't help but eat a few secretly. After taking pictures, everyone secretly picked a large bag to bring down the mountain. After going down the mountain to have breakfast, the boss said that no one came to buy persimmons this year, and everyone could go up the mountain to pick them at will. 2016.10.26

Tasha Village is a subsidiary scenic spot of Tianluokeng Scenic Area (Line A). There are few earth buildings in Tasha Village, and the development method is completely copied from Fenghuang and Lijiang Ancient Town, without local characteristics. Therefore, it is not recommended to make a special trip to visit.

By —oh— v |

The road is difficult to drive on, and it tests driving skills, especially when two cars meet. However, the green mountains and clear waters under the tower, and the ancient villages built along the river are small and exquisite, with very local characteristics. If you have enough time, it is worth a visit.

I signed up for a one-day tour so I took a quick look. If I choose to stay in this area of Tulou for one day, I would probably choose Tasha Village first, followed by Yunshuiyao. There are few people and the front of the building faces the water. It feels more like a small village formed naturally, not like a tourist area planned and built later.

The Hakka Tulou in Nanping, Fujian, is the ancestral home of the She ethnic group. The people there have simple customs and like to invite guests to drink local mountain tea, which has a light color and is worth a try.

I went to several Tulou villages and my favorite one was Tasha Village. There were no tour groups, no commercial streets, and it was quiet and comfortable. Tasha Village was not big and you could walk there. There were some unknown Tulou in the village. Compared with the Tulou I saw the day before, it had more of a life atmosphere. There were no vendors selling specialties. If you want to experience Tulou quietly, you can go and have a look. As for whether there is a charge to enter, I don’t know because I’m tired of seeing Tulou, haha

Many villagers have modified their homes to make them homestays. To be honest, among these places, my favorite is Tasha Village. I like its simplicity and its unconventionality. But I'm afraid that in a few years, it will be difficult for this place to escape becoming a commercial town like Yunshuiyao Town.

There is a firefly park at the entrance of the village. You can usually see fireflies in the summer, but it depends on luck. If it rains or has rained, don't even think about going. You still need transportation to get out of the village, but the village is relatively backward and there are no transportation. There are only a few buses during the day. A local resident told me that I could go to the hill behind Deyuan Hall. They said that they recently discovered that there are many fireflies there. I planned to go and see it, but I didn't expect to see a firefly floating on the bridge as soon as I walked on it. I was so happy that I walked quickly...

It is a representative building of the village with small bridges and flowing water in Lou Qingxi's "Ten Lectures on Rural Landscape". Many CCTV public welfare films have also been shot here. In fact, compared with the bustling Yunshui Yao, Tasha Village is more like a village living in the story of the old city. The pastoral life with earthen buildings, tea gardens and small bridges and flowing water has not been overdeveloped. It is a place worth visiting.

Accommodation: I personally recommend staying in Tasha Village. At that time, I stayed in Maoyuan Inn. The proprietress was a girl who married from Harbin. She was very enthusiastic and would tell you the best route for sightseeing. By the way, her tea is really affordable and tastes authentic.

Attractions: Tasha Village was originally a scenic spot in Line A, very close to Deyuan Hall. It is very convenient to drive around or take a tourist bus to Tianluokeng and Yuchang Building. And if you have the energy, you can go to the Hekeng Tulou Group on Line C to take a look. It is a truly undeveloped Tulou Group.

Transportation: I forgot that you can take a tourist bus to Tasha Village from Nanjing Bus Station. In the off-season, you need to take a minibus to Shuyang Town (¥9, about 1 hour), get off and wait for the minibus to Tasha (¥8, about 1 hour)

A very quiet little village. Because I followed the tour guide, I had to buy an electric car (10 yuan). As a result, I encountered a traffic jam after driving for a few minutes and had to get off the car and walk. However, the electric car fee was not refundable, which was very deceptive. In fact, there is no need to spend this money. It is not far if you walk slowly. Don't be fooled like me. The scenery is good. Walk slowly along the way, there are many beautiful scenery, long streams, ancient towns and green forests. You can feel the details in the travel notes.

It feels more fun than Yunshuiyao. At least the shops here are all run by Hakka people, unlike Yunshuiyao which is full of foreign Minnan dialect. If you want to experience Hakka culture and things, you should mainly come to Taxia and Four Dishes and One Soup.

I saw the sword forest in front of the village and the village's own performances which were said to be very unique. I saw a lot of similar earthen buildings in one day and was already aesthetically fatigued.

The ancient villages on both sides of the Tasha Village River are very distinctive, and the houses with small bridges, flowing water and houses are very attractive.

Tasha Village is located in the west of Shuyang Town, Nanjing County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. It is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Zhangzhou and one of the first 15 Chinese landscape villages. Known as the "Zhouzhuang of Southern Fujian", this village has a long history. It was built in 1426 and now has more than 300 households. The earthen buildings are built along the river and are very evenly distributed on both sides. The earthen buildings are rich in form, including the common square and round earthen buildings, as well as apron-shaped and L-shaped earthen buildings. The most unique is the Zhejiang-Hangzhou water village model single-courtyard civil and brick-wood structure hanging corner building, forming a wonderful landscape of large buildings with small buildings and staggered layouts. It is known as the "mythical mountain building from a bird's eye view of Tasha Village" for its strange shape and unique style.

The transportation is not convenient, so I rented a van at that time. The driver was from Tasha Village. I had a meal here and walked around. The scenery and folk customs are average.

A river bends through the village, so it is also called "Taiji Water Village".

It is said that Tasha Village is the Zhouzhuang of Fujian. It seems that this is true. The scenery is very beautiful.

Taking photos is not allowed in the ancestral hall. When entering the village, you need to take the local electric car, which feels a bit monopolistic.

By See all the way along the way |

Tasha Village is located in an area of just over one square kilometer, with a total of 47 earth buildings. They are square, round, apron-shaped, L-shaped, and have various shapes, forming a spectacular earth building complex, which is the largest in the country.

The scenery is not outstanding, with some local characteristics. The transportation along this line is not very convenient, the tour buses are not fixed, and there is no public transportation. Private cars cannot enter the scenic area during the peak tourist season.

The village with a flowing stream has extremely beautiful natural scenery and is worth a visit.
