Xiamen Botanical Garden, commonly known as "Wanshi Botanical Garden", is a botanical garden carefully designed around the Wanshiyan Reservoir. The garden includes more than 20 specialized gardens and planting areas, including pine and fir gardens, rose gardens, palm gardens, large cactus gardens, hundred-flower halls, orchid gardens, etc., and cultivates more than 6,000 tropical and subtropical plants.
The Rainforest World and the Desert Plant Area are particularly worth seeing. The Rainforest World is shrouded in mist, and coupled with the beautiful tropical rainforest landscape, it looks like a fairyland.
The popular cactus in the desert plant area is a must-photograph spot. In addition to viewing plants, the park also brings together stone carvings, lakes, lawns, temples and other landscapes. The highest point of the new forest of stele overlooks half of Xiamen Island.

There are too many stories about Xiamen to tell in one go. The Botanical Garden is one of the most memorable attractions of my trip to Xiamen. The two most recommended attractions are the tropical rain forest and the succulent plant garden, which are very suitable for taking portraits and blockbuster films.
🌟Tips:
1⃣️: You must arrive at the rainforest before 4:30, otherwise the spray will stop.
2⃣️: You must arrive at the succulent garden before 5:30, otherwise it will be closed, so manage your time well.
3⃣️: Remember to enter from the west gate. The east gate is more remote and it is very tiring to walk around.
4⃣️: The ticket is 30 yuan, you can buy it online for 28 yuan, and the round-trip fare is 10 yuan. It is not recommended to take the bus.
The Botanical Garden is pretty good. Due to time constraints, I only went to the tropical rain forest and the succulent area, which are very good for taking pictures. Here I would like to remind everyone that you must go to the West Gate by car and enter from the West Gate, or go to Nanputuo Temple to climb the mountain for a while and enter from the Wulao Peak Gate. Don't believe the taxi driver. In the morning, the taxi driver said that the West Gate was congested and took us to the East Gate. After that, another taxi driver pretending to be kind somehow took us to a fraudulent travel agency to report a one-day tour to Kinmen Island! In fact, it is not Kinmen Island at all, but Dadeng Island! There is nothing on it! ! The travel agency is just a few minutes away from the East Gate. The sign with blue background and white letters is called Lu Yuecheng Travel Agency! It also said something about national travel and special cars reported by the government! I was so vigilant but still got deceived (`Δ´)! Not to mention the money, the key is that it delayed most of the day! In the end, I admitted it and hurried back to the Botanical Garden. The taxi driver at Dongmen is a tall, dark-skinned guy who speaks in northern dialect and has a scar on his face near his eye. Don't listen to him!!! I passed by on the bus to the airport today and saw him there again. I quickly took a photo of him to expose him! I really want to rush down and beat him up. He's so evil.
Xiamen must-visit place No.1. For a northerner like me, I really like the evergreen plants in the south. The tropical rainforest and cactus area in the park are really beautiful. It is a place to take big pictures! You must bring someone who can take pictures. And wear beautiful clothes. It is hard to be disappointed in this place!
Please plan a day to visit Xiamen Botanical Garden because it is so huge.
The ticket is 30 yuan. It is recommended to buy the ticket at the ticket office at the entrance. You can also get a botanical garden map, which is very useful because the garden is so big.
Xiamen Botanical Garden is the place I visit most frequently during the more than one year I have lived in Xiamen.
The air here is fresh, and it is suitable for picnics on weekends. It is also great to take children for a walk.
This is also a popular botanical garden. The huge cactus and the fairy-like rainforest spray are perfect places for taking photos.
I highly recommend the Desert Botanical Garden and the Rainforest World. They are really beautiful and suitable for girls to take pictures. It's a pity that I didn't book a photographer in advance. They are all full. It is recommended that fairies who like taking photos make reservations online in advance. The scenic spot is not big. If you just walk around, two to three hours is enough. If you want to take more detailed photos, you have to set aside more time. Each scenic spot is not far apart, but you can also take a bus 🚌 10 yuan round trip is super cheap. Note⚠️Don't make a wrong reservation when taking Didi. I made a wrong reservation today and drove directly up the mountain from the northwest gate ⛰️. I wasted a lot of taxi money. Everyone must pay attention to the scenic spot where you want to take the cable car. There is walking on the left side of the entrance and the cable car on the right. The cable car is for climbing 🧗♀️ Walking is to see the rain forest ➕ sand-loving plants. If you don't want to go up the mountain, you don't have to buy a cable car ticket 🎫 Well, friendly reminder that Xiamen now requires advance reservations. You can't get in without an appointment. Obviously, you must book an appointment ticket half a month in advance 🎫 I didn't know that I was turned away by the security uncle in Xiamen and couldn't get in this time. It's a pity. Everyone must book tickets in advance. Make reservations in advance. In general, Xiamen is really a very suitable place for leisure travel. The air is good. The people of Xiamen are also very kind. I like the environment here. I will definitely come again ✌️✌️✌️
Recently, this is a very popular check-in spot for internet celebrities. Because there is nothing special to go in Xiamen, so I came here. The tropical rainforest area is still good when spraying. It feels like entering a fairyland. But you can only take good photos when the sun is good.
The cactus area is also very popular. But because of the Chinese New Year, the cacti are hung with red lanterns 🏮. It's really ugly. I don't know what the leaders think. Do we have to hang lanterns during the Chinese New Year? The beautiful scenery is ruined. The cactus area is not as easy to take pictures as the tropical rainforest area. Because although there are many kinds of plants, they are too messy and there is no order of importance. It is not good to take pictures of large scenes because you will take pictures of the iron rods tied to the cacti. You will also take pictures of trees and houses in the distance that are not in harmony with the desert. You can only take pictures of parts.
Tickets are 30 yuan per person if booked online. 40 yuan on site. There will definitely be a lot of people during holidays, so it is recommended to arrive at the tropical rainforest area before 9 o'clock. The rainforest is sprayed from 9 to 11 in the morning and from 2 to 4 in the afternoon. The entire botanical garden is very large, so it is recommended to buy a ticket for an electric car and take it directly to the tropical rainforest area.
The botanical garden is very large, with many display areas, but for us it was a slow tour, because the spray of the tropical rain forest would end at 11 o'clock, so we left the succulents at around 10:30 and rushed to the rain forest. Because it was downhill all the way, my son ran and jumped and arrived quickly. When the spray came, the mist was like a fairyland. This place is more suitable for an old mother with a girlish heart. My son was not interested in taking pictures, but he also praised the beautiful scenery here.
There is a botanical garden very close to Xiamen University. The cacti in the garden are the location for countless popular photos:
By the way, there is one very important thing I want to remind you. To get to the Succulent Botanical Garden, you need to climb a very steep mountain road. It is very high, very far and very tiring. People who don’t like climbing should not visit this attraction.
I really admire those young ladies who come here in the hot summer. They climb such a long way, feeling hot and tired, just to take a photo. They are really strong.
Take a taxi directly to the West Gate, which is close to the tropical rain forest and succulent plant area. The air inside is good and you can walk. The East Gate is far away from these two popular parks. The tropical rain forest is about 500 meters away from the West Gate, and the succulent plant area is more than 400 meters above. There is a direct bus to the succulent plant area, which only goes to this scenic area and the round-trip bus costs 5 yuan per person. We took this bus when we returned from the succulent plant area.
However, if you want to go to other attractions in the botanical garden, you need to take the mountain route, which means that the sightseeing bus can't drive there at all, and it's all stairs. If you buy tickets on the spot, you will get a botanical garden map, which is not available if you buy it online.
The mountain in the botanical garden is not high, but the steps are very steep. It was difficult to bring my daughter up, and the view is pretty good.
Xiamen Botanical Garden is a famous tourist attraction in southern Fujian, with three major features: natural landscape, cultural landscape and plant landscaping. The science education practice base of the botanical garden is a national science practice base. It has a plant seed specimen exhibition hall and a butterfly and insect specimen exhibition hall. There is a 3,000-square-meter experimental field for students to carry out science practice. It can provide venues and tourism projects for various types of student science tours, ecological summer camps, winter camps, spring and autumn tours and other student team activities, as well as unit training and group activities. It was the first time I saw so many cacti. I was so excited, wasn't I? Originally, we planned to take an electric car, but who knew that we would go over the mountain and walk to almost all the parks. It was tiring, and I experienced it myself. Walking along the mountain road to the middle of the mountain is the world of cacti. Covering an area of 40,000 square meters, the main exhibition area includes two parts: the outdoor exhibition area and the exhibition greenhouse. The large succulent plants and cacti in the outdoor exhibition area are magnificent. It is the first time in China that large-scale cactus plant landscaping is carried out outdoors. There are giant bottle-shaped bottle trunk trees introduced from Australia, tall elephant leg trees, bottle orchids, pandanus trees and various cacti: in the exhibition greenhouse, cacti and succulents of various shapes compete with each other for splendor. Here is the largest domestically cultivated golden amber king, which has won numerous awards at the first National Flower Expo, Hong Kong Flower Show and Kunming World Horticultural Exposition, as well as rare domestic ghost, fairy jade, turtle pattern kapok, blue purple kudzu, Wulun column, and small potted plants of succulent plants such as lithops and club leaf flowers introduced from South Africa, showing a dazzling world of cacti. Walking in Xiamen Botanical Garden is like a fairyland on earth. In the cactus garden, the "Golden Ball Thorn Tiger" cactus grows, which has been cultivated for more than 20 years. The diameter of the ball is 70 cm, which is the best cactus in China. The "Golden Ball Thorn Tiger" is the most attractive representative species of cactus, with a green ball and hard golden thorns, and it can bloom only once every 80 years. This is a tropical plant paradise, releasing water vapor all the time. Can I say that my camera has been soaked in water? Hahaha! Xiamen Botanical Garden is located in the southeast of Zhongshan Park in Xiamen City, and north of Shishan Mountain and Wulao Peak. The various gardens of the botanical garden surround Wanshi Lake, and are decorated in a Chinese-style garden layout. In the valley southeast of Wanshi Lake, there is a Hundred Flowers Hall that is fragrant and beautiful all year round. There are 5 exhibition rooms, corridors, curved bridges, and waterside pavilions connected in series, surrounding an oval lotus pond. In the left and right rooms, more than 200 kinds of exotic flowers are exhibited: Cattleya orchids, 16 varieties of calamus, pitcher plants that can eat small animals, high-grade spices miracle fruit, Oncidium, etc. Xiamen Botanical Garden was built in 1960. There are about 1.8 million trees and shrubs in the garden. There are various parks of famous tropical and subtropical botanical gardens, and various rock landscapes on Wanshi Mountain. The area is 26 square kilometers, of which the botanical garden area is 2.27 hectares, the lawn area is 1.5 hectares, and the green area is 213.6 hectares. If you ask me which scenic spot I like most in Xiamen, it must be the botanical garden. Of course, everyone has different hobbies.
In order to go to Wanshi Botanical Garden, you can only climb up Wulao Peak along the road behind the temple. When you reach the top of the mountain, you can see Wulao Peak on one side and Wanshi Botanical Garden on the other (ticket price 40). I wanted to take good photos in the botanical garden while the light was good, so I went down the mountain to the tropical rain forest. There were many people taking wedding photos there, but it was still a bit cool in the artificial rain and fog. Then I went along the main road to the succulent plant area, which is also a popular check-in spot.
Speaking of botanical gardens, many people associate them with "boring", but Xiamen Wanshi Botanical Garden has refreshed my understanding of botanical gardens... Here, there are huge cacti, tropical rain forests with fairy air, and the largest and most succulent plants in China. It is really a photo-taking sanctuary for fairies. This is a place I had never heard of when I came to Xiamen six years ago. Now it has become a popular check-in spot. I strongly recommend it to you~
If you take a taxi, remember to remind the driver to go to the west gate of Huyuan Road. If you are unlucky and go to the east gate, it is very far from the main scenic area. The botanical garden is divided into Araucaria lawn, palm plant area, Hundred Flower Hall, Rose Garden, New Stele Forest, Rainforest World, Wanshi Hancui, Succulent Plant Area, Flower Garden, Wan Hu Chaotian, Taiping Shixiao, Tianjie Xiaozhong... It's dazzling, right? In fact, there are only three places that are most suitable for taking pictures: Araucaria lawn, Rainforest World and Succulent Plant Area...
After entering the scenic area, you can walk a short distance to the scenic area bus ticket sales. It is recommended to buy it. If you have plenty of time and energy, you can also choose to walk up. The bus ticket is 5 yuan/time. You can take the bus directly to the multi-person cactus desert area and then walk down.
The lowest area of the Botanical Garden is the Araucaria Lawn, where many wedding photographers take pictures. Finally, I would like to remind all the fairies that you must bring someone who can take pictures for you when you go to the Botanical Garden. If you don’t take pictures when you go to the Xiamen Botanical Garden, it’s no different from visiting an ordinary park. I wish every fairy can take satisfactory photos...
The botanical garden is very large, and it is said that it is as big as three Gulangyu Islands, so it is impossible to visit all of them without two or three days. It is more reliable to take a car and visit the key scenic spots. After walking a short distance from the entrance, there is a sightseeing bus. The small car is 5 yuan and the large car is 10 yuan. The 10 yuan car has a stop like a bus, and it goes back and forth in both directions. There are buses in several directions. The 5 yuan car only runs one way from the gate to the succulent plant area. Because of time constraints, we only went to the succulent plant area and the rainforest area, so we took a 5 yuan car. Although the succulent area is only 900 meters away from the entrance according to the map, it is recommended not to save this money because it is uphill all the way. The succulent area is basically full of cacti outdoors, and there are many small succulents indoors. The car driver is very dedicated and told us not to walk along the road to the rainforest area after we come out, but just walk along the path behind the parking lot. Sure enough, we walked from the innermost part of the rainforest area to the outside, and it was downhill all the way, which was much less than walking a lot from the main road. It's a pity that the weather was not good today and we encountered a heavy rain in the rainforest area. The good thing is that all the people taking wedding photos in the rainforest area went to hide from the rain, so there was no one competing with you for a spot.
Xiamen Botanical Garden is very large and has a special shuttle bus. You can take it to various attractions after buying a ticket. The bus ticket is 10 yuan and you can take the bus multiple times on the same day.
As soon as you enter the gate, you will see a pool of spring water in winter, looking at the tourists quietly and peacefully, and you will soon be conquered by this peace and tranquility.
I like the bright green under the sun the most. It is so bright that it gives people the illusion of how wonderful life is. There is a pond in the back mountain of the tropical rain forest area. There are lotus leaves with curled edges in the pond. When the sun shines down, it seems to float on the water, creating a very wonderful visual effect. The mysterious fog covers the lush green, and there is a kind of mystery flowing in the air.
The tropical plant area has a Wizard of Oz feel to it. This is a popular spot in the botanical garden, and many popular photos are taken here. This is mainly because of the tall cacti and succulents. The tall cacti make people feel like they are in a tropical desert, and the hot sun creates an illusion.
The flower garden in the botanical garden is the farthest garden after getting off the bus. It is a sea of flowers. The blue sky, white clouds, and gorgeous flowers make me want to freeze time in this picturesque scene.
When I got tired of walking in the botanical garden, I sat down to take a rest. There were small bridges and flowing water, and no houses. In such a big garden, there were only Jiaen and I. It was so quiet.
The Botanical Garden actually has many gardens and is very large, but as a photo enthusiast, its tropical rainforest and succulent area are the most popular! Please be sure to go to the West Gate! This is the closest to the two popular spots!
So the first thing that surprised me was the tropical rain forest! Although the weather was already bad that day, it was sunny the previous two days, but it became cloudy that day! The rain forest is of course man-made, and the atmosphere is mainly created by spraying. The spraying time is from 9 to 11 o'clock and from 2 to 4 o'clock in the afternoon every day, so please pay attention to the time! And this is really a paradise for wedding photos. As long as there is a single sun, really, I look at the original photos and they are all blockbusters, and they are even more beautiful than the photos when you look at them with your naked eyes!
We were lucky as it was originally cloudy, but some light came out around 11 o'clock. Once there was light, the whole fairyland feeling came out!
The second point is the succulent area! You see, once you enter the succulent area, you will see many cute succulents! No wonder so many people like it!
Because there was no sun that day, the sky was always a little off! If there was sunshine, the big scene would definitely be a big movie.
There are a lot of people in the succulent park, so if you want to take pictures of large scenes, you still have to wait a long time, but it is still no problem to take pictures of small scenes because you can always find an open space. Moreover, there is an indoor succulent area further up the park, so I think it is no problem to visit it for a few hours.
Many people know about the botanical garden through the background of big cacti and various photos taken by internet celebrities.
In fact, the botanical garden is very large, with not only succulents but also various flower areas. It would take more than 2 hours to visit the garden. The two most popular photo spots are the tropical rainforest area and the succulents area.
TIPS:
⚠️The most labor-saving option is the tour bus:
Once you enter the park, you can take a tour bus near the parking lot for about 10 yuan. But you have to wait a long time for the bus, so if there are many people in your group, you can charter a bus for about 100 yuan.
Because the park is so large, you will be given a map of the park when you buy your ticket. There are three tour routes in total: classic, lakeside, and mountaineering. If you want to go to the succulent area, you have to take the classic route. If you want to see everything, you have to take the mountaineering route. If you just want to take pictures and go to the succulent area and tropical rainforest area, you can take the lane next to it and go directly to your destination! It also saves time!
Need to climb:
I really have to be strong enough to wear high heels. Fairies and photographers who don't have the strength and stamina to do this please don't try it.
Summer high temperature attention:
Summer is really hot and suffocating. So it is best to take photos early in the morning or in the evening. Be sure to apply sunscreen, open a parasol, and bring various makeup products.
Tropical rain forest area:
There is a [Mist Forest] in the tropical rainforest area‼ ️When the mist is on, you can take special psychedelic photos of the rainforest! But the mist has a time limit.
Spring and summer (May 1st - October 7th): 8:30-10:30 15:00-17:00
Autumn and winter (October 8th - April 30th of the following year): 9:00-11:00 14:00-16:00
🌵Succulent Plant Area:
This is the photo spot that everyone has been thinking about. There are many cacti of all shapes and sizes for you to choose from, both indoors and outdoors. You can take photos in a fresh style or in a desert style!
You can bring some desert or holiday style clothes, bright colors are recommended, red, yellow, white ~ Don't bring blue, green or brown clothes, which will easily blend into the background.
The place I'm most looking forward to in Xiamen is the Wanshi Botanical Garden. I had already been attracted to this place when I was making a travel guide before coming here. I'm particularly looking forward to the tropical rain forest and the succulent garden. The Wanshi Botanical Garden is very large, so you must prepare some food and water before entering the garden. You will be given a map after purchasing your ticket. There are so many people who come to the botanical garden to take wedding photos, no less than Gulangyu Island. The people of Xiamen are so lucky, there are so many places to take photos. I saw a notice at the entrance of the botanical garden that there is a scenery fee for taking wedding photos or professional videos. For such a beautiful place, the scenery fee is also worth it.
Wanshi Botanical Garden, a small forest in the city, is what I am most looking forward to. The botanical garden is large and there are many routes to visit. After getting the map, there are recommendations on it. You can walk by yourself, take a car, or take an aerial cable car. We took the willful route, which is to go wherever we want. Anyway, it is quite tiring.
The last area we visited was the succulent plant area, which is also the desert plant area. It was the farthest away and we were exhausted walking up there. It was very sunny up there, but those big cacti, big saguaros, and big cacti were really shocking and beautiful beyond words.
The Railway Cultural Park is right outside the entrance of the botanical garden. Wanshi Botanical Garden is a mountain, and the succulent plant area is on the top of the mountain.
If you live in Zengcuoan, you can take a bus to Wanshi Botanical Garden at 8 am. Those who live in Zengcuoan and along the route can take the B3 bus, which goes directly to the entrance of Wanshi Botanical Garden. If you take a taxi, it is also the starting price!
For taking photos in the Botanical Garden, it is recommended that fairies wear skirts in mainly black and white colors. Green will not look good as it will clash with other colors. Red or yellow will make the photo look out of place.
Personally, I suggest that you go early in the morning to take pictures. Take pictures as soon as the spray starts. There are the least people at this time and the sun is the best. The rainforest area not only needs to wait for the spray but also the sun to look good. If you are lucky, there will be a rainbow🌈
There is also a cactus area, which looks beautiful no matter how you take photos. Many people take wedding photos and portraits here.
The Botanical Garden is a popular check-in spot for internet celebrities. It is a good place to take photos. If you are short on time or don't like flowers and plants, it is not recommended to visit.
It will be very hot in summer, so be careful to prevent heatstroke!
The homestay in Zengcuoan where I stayed is also great for taking photos. They are located in the Zengcuoan snack street. Before we arrived at the store, a lady from the homestay called us to confirm the time and even picked us up at the intersection. She was very thoughtful. I booked a blue room for myself, with a huge floor-to-ceiling window. It was bright and clean, and the fabric of the lazy sofa was also very comfortable. What I liked most was their public area, which has many photo-taking ornaments. Ladies who like taking photos can go and check in!
Many cities may have botanical gardens, but why has Xiamen Botanical Garden become a tourist attraction that foreign tourists are eager to visit?
Especially, it has become a popular tourist attraction. I think there may be several reasons:
First of all, Xiamen Botanical Garden is located in the central area of the city, very close to Xiamen University, and convenient to go to. Unlike many other cities that are located in the suburbs.
Secondly, its vegetation features are quite prominent, mainly tropical plants, with palm plants flourishing. The rainforest and desert atmospheres created in the park are quite strong, especially the succulent plant area, which has become a great place for netizens to take photos.
The sun was shining brightly that day, and I experienced firsthand the hot zone where cacti live. Even the internet celebrities took a few photos and went to find a cool place, let alone people like us. There were buses along the way, which were divided into sightseeing buses and ordinary buses. We took a round trip for 10 yuan, and I remember that there was a trip every 20 minutes. We got off the bus in each park and started to explore. When we came back, we waited for the bus. If we missed it, we could only wait for the next one.
The scenic spot is very good. The scenic area is very large. It took more than three hours to take a bus to visit several special attractions. The most special ones are the rainforest and succulent area. I went there in winter, and the flower area and the lake at the entrance were not very beautiful. The rainforest atmosphere is very good, but there are too many people taking wedding photos, and they have been occupying the best photo area. There are seven or eight couples under a waterfall. I waited for a long time but couldn't get a seat. I felt disappointed.
I went there in winter, so some plants were not in bloom, but it was still worth a visit. The overall area is large and divided into several areas. You can take a battery car to tour the park. There are several greenhouses, mainly planting tropical plants, such as cacti, cacti, some orchids, bananas, coconut trees, etc. There is also a small hill and a small pond in the park, which are both suitable for taking photos and resting. Overall, the air is good, the environment is good, and I learned a lot.
We came here for the popular attractions - the rainforest and cactus! We didn't visit the other places because they were too big! In the rainforest, you have to look at the time to see the fairyland-like scenery. The spray is divided into two sessions in the morning and afternoon, so friends, remember to check the time before you come! When the spray is on, it is really beautiful. No wonder many people take wedding photos here! In the Haiyou Cactus Succulent Area, it is the first time I have seen such a big, tall and thorny cactus! It feels a bit like Mexico! So, many people take wedding photos here too! Buddhist travel, go whenever you want, go whenever you want! After seeing these two attractions, we retreated!
Wanshi Botanical Garden is worth a visit. It is best to make an appointment with a friend who is good at taking photos. It will definitely be stunning. The botanical garden is a mountain road. I took the classic route, took the shuttle bus to the succulent plant area and then went down to see the tropical rainforest. After all, the slope is not small, and it is relatively easy to go downhill. The tropical rainforest water mist has a time period. If you miss it, you may not be able to see the fairyland. However, there are people taking wedding photos at the spots with good views.
There are mosquitoes in the botanical garden, and they are very small sand mosquitoes. It is very itchy on the legs. It is recommended that you wear mosquito repellent when you go there in the summer.
The kingdom of succulents has all kinds of plants, tall, short, fat and thin.
Going up further, there is a succulent museum.
When we first came in, we thought the botanical garden was not that big. It looked like a very large garden on the map, but it only took a few steps to walk through it. Later we found out that we didn't actually walk the entire way.
Wanshi Botanical Garden is famous for the popular cacti in the desert plant area and the hazy fog in the rain forest world, which is really suitable for taking pictures. It is generally recommended to visit these two famous areas in the botanical garden. Because the botanical garden is very large, remember to buy a ticket and take a tour bus to the desert plant area at the top of the slope, and then slowly walk down to the rain forest world. Remember to check the time when the fog hits the rain forest world to avoid missing it.
I got up at around 5am and went there. After a quick wash, I took a Didi to confirm the west gate of the botanical garden. I heard from the locals that if you go before 6:30am, you don't need to pay for tickets. So when I arrived, it was not yet 6:30am, so I went in with the grandpa and aunt, saving the ticket fee, but I didn't have time to sleep in. After entering, I wandered around and then took a sightseeing bus to other areas above. Maybe if the tropical plants and cacti are very memorable to me, then the deepest feeling I had when I went to Wanshi Botanical Garden was that there were so many mosquitoes! !!! ...
A very distinctive botanical garden with many tropical plants and rainforest plants, which is very suitable for families to visit. The sightseeing bus in the scenic area is very convenient and can quickly reach each scenic spot
You don't have to go to the desert or tropical rainforest to experience the excitement and surprise here. It is especially suitable for friends who like photography, because there are many benefits for taking photos here. Bring your camera and record everything in front of you.
The highly anticipated trip to the botanical garden is a newly discovered attraction this time. It is commonly known as the "Wanshi Botanical Garden". It is a botanical garden carefully designed around the Wanshiyan Reservoir. There are various plants here. Although Mao Ge is still young and doesn't understand these, this is really a must-visit place for literary and artistic celebrities. It is also the place that we collectively rated the highest during this trip to Xiamen~ The must-visit areas are the tropical rainforest area and the succulent plant area
Tickets: 30 yuan/person. It is a great bargain. Seniors over 60 years old can enjoy half price.
Xiamen Botanical Garden is one of the first national AAAA-level tourist areas. It has more than 20 specialized gardens and planting areas, and cultivates more than 6,000 tropical and subtropical plants. If you want to visit it all, it feels like one day is not enough, so we only went to the tropical rainforest area and the succulent plant area to check in.
Important reminder: You must enter from the west gate!!! Because the west gate is closest to the key scenic spots. If you enter from the east gate, you will walk a lot.
The most famous is its tropical rain forest area. Artificial rain and fog will be turned on regularly, and the mist is hazy, coupled with the beautiful tropical rain forest landscape, it looks like a fairyland. It is recommended to go on a sunny day, because the Tyndall effect only occurs when there is sunshine, and the light and shadow are simply beautiful! The tropical rain forest area has attracted many newlyweds taking wedding photos because of the special effect of the fog forest. I met no less than a dozen couples along the way, all of whom were trying to seize the time to capture the most beautiful moment. In addition, there were other tourists, so there were many people in the park during this period, and it was not easy to take a beautiful picture. In short, what you see with your naked eyes is more beautiful than the photos!
As all the guides say, succulents and rainforests are the best places to take photos. Of course, there are many other places to see in the botanical garden. Everyone must enter the scenic area from the west gate. The concentrated area is closer to the west gate. If you are not physically fit, you can take the bus.
My husband and I are good walkers, so we entered from the east gate and walked about 4-5 kilometers to the succulent forest. I don't recommend you to walk this way.
The fogging time in the rain forest is from 3 to 4 pm, and I forgot the time in the morning. Picture 2 is the real scene of the rain forest, hahaha~
Xiamen Botanical Garden is very large. The most worthwhile places to visit are the Rainforest World and the Desert Plant Area. These two are popular photo-taking spots. The photo-taking effect is better when the Rainforest World is sprayed, just like a fairyland. The spraying time is from 9:30 to 11:00 in the morning and from 15:00 to 16:00 in the afternoon. It is also recommended to visit Tianjie Temple, which has a viewing platform with a very good viewing effect.
It's more interesting than expected! The 40 yuan ticket price is too worth it! The scenery is diverse, suitable for walking and resting. Because it is too big, I mainly went to the recommended rainforest area and succulent area, and it was beautiful to take pictures and check in. You can also take a blanket and food on the big lawn (Figure 1) to lie down and rest and blow the wind. We finally got tired and spent the time blowing the wind on the big lawn in the sunset. If you go there in the afternoon, remember to get off at the South Gate. The North Gate is almost over the mountains and ridges to swim to the core area. I saw a lot of guides before that the scenic bus needs to wait at a specific place and time, so it is also very troublesome, so if young people don't mind walking around, it's also good.
Xiamen Botanical Garden is also known as Wanshi Botanical Garden. In recent years, due to the promotion of Xiaohongshu and major travel bloggers, it has also become an Internet celebrity attraction. When you come to Xiamen, don’t miss to check in at the botanical garden. The photos here are really beautiful.
Xiamen Botanical Garden is worth a visit, especially for those who like plants. The most beautiful place in the garden is the succulent plant area, which is the first must-visit place, followed by the rainforest world and the palm plant area, which are unique. Of course, visiting Xiamen Botanical Garden in this season also requires physical strength. First of all, the botanical garden is very large and built on the mountain. There are few flat areas. Especially if you want to visit carefully, you often need to walk through the mountains, go up and down the stairs, which requires physical strength and a pair of suitable sports shoes. Secondly, the weather is hot and humid, and you will sweat all over in a short time. After a morning, my eyes were soaked with sweat many times, and my clothes were soaked with sweat when I returned to the hotel. In addition, if you play in the evening, you must also pay attention to mosquito repellent.
It is in the city, with many exits, including Nanputuo and Xiamen University. It is suitable for physical exercise. If you are interested in plants, you can take your time to look at them. There are multiple parks divided into categories.
The park is very large. I followed the guide and entered from the west gate, but I found the wrong way and had to climb an extra mountain to reach the succulent plant area... It is recommended to stop and check the route after entering. There are not too many people if you go early, which is very suitable for taking pictures.
The rainforest area doesn't feel big overall, and there are too many people during the spraying period, so you can wait until the spraying is about to end before going.
It is really hot in the summer. We arrived at 4:30 and it was still quite hot. However, the spray is a highlight. Without the spray, it would not be worth coming.
You can escape the heat under the scorching sun, be with flowers and plants, and the air is also very good
The botanical garden is still very suitable for taking photos. Let's learn more about it.
The botanical garden has beautiful scenery and good air quality, making it a great place to relax and unwind.
There are so many people going there on May Day, and you have to queue up to take pictures, so it’s best to go on weekdays. It’s best to wear fairy white clothes
I should have checked which door to enter from before I went... Anyway, I was very tired from walking...
It is worth a visit. The area is very large. Pay attention to arranging the route when visiting. During peak hours, there will be serious queues for tourist buses in the park.
It is recommended to buy tickets manually, and you can also get a free hand-drawn map. It seems that there is no map if you buy tickets online and then swipe your ID card at the gate to enter. If you have not purchased tickets, you can swipe the Alipay payment code at the entrance gate to enter the park, but I heard that the gate system is not very stable.
In addition to the main gate, you can also check your tickets at the parking lot entrance without queuing.
The succulent area and the rainforest area are popular spots with many people. The water mist in the rainforest area is open at fixed times every day.
I went to Xiamen Wanshi Botanical Garden with my friends today! The scenery is really beautiful and the photos are really great. The queue outside is really long but it goes very fast. You can buy tickets online in advance, but in fact, they are all the same.
It's really big inside. I cried when I walked. If you don't want to walk, you can buy a ticket to enter the botanical garden. There is a place to sell tickets. If you play for a long time, remember to bring some snacks with you. Don't bring too little water. Don't think it's too heavy. The things inside are really a little expensive. Wear a pair of comfortable shoes to make yourself comfortable. Don't wear too exaggerated clothes. Keep it simple. It's easy to take off when you get hot. Rain forest ⑤⭐ It is recommended to go to the succulents 5⭐ The Hundred Flower Pavilion is also good. It looks good for taking pictures! You can also take pictures while walking on the road!
Pay attention‼ ️‼ ️If you are prone to mosquito bites, don't wear too little. Wear more and try not to show your skin. The mosquitoes in the botanical garden are really fierce 🐛🐜🐝🕷️🐞. Be sure to bring mosquito repellent! Otherwise, you will be itchy and have no interest in continuing to play.
You must bring a friend with technology to take pictures! There are blockbusters everywhere! Personally, I think it's really big inside. It may be a bit tiring to walk. Don't panic if you can't find the way. Just keep going forward. You will be given a map when you buy a ticket!
The above is the sightseeing record📣📢🔊
It was my first time seeing such a huge plant, I was shocked. It's worth a visit. My friend and I missed the rainforest spray time and couldn't take any fairy photos.
There are cacti taller than humans, cacti bigger than heads, various succulents, and a botanical garden that is different from flowers and plants.
I read a lot of reviews and went there for the rainforest and succulents. The succulent area is OK. If there is no fog forest, there is nothing to see in the rainforest world. Overall it's average.
I went there just to take pictures in the succulent area! I was not disappointed, and every picture I took was a beautiful one!!! It is especially worth going for those fairies who love taking pictures!
A must-visit place when you come to Xiamen. I recommend a visit. Enter the succulent area from the west gate and take the small road. It is easier to take the highway.
The park is very large, and each plant area has its own characteristics. The most popular ones are the succulent area and the tropical rainforest area, which are very close to the west gate near Huyuan Road. There are sightseeing buses in the park and the ticket price is not expensive, but there are many people on holidays and you have to wait in long queues.
I went there after the Spring Festival, and the flowers were still in full bloom. The park is very large, and the staff said it is about 1.3 times the size of Gulangyu Island. If you want to stay for a day, you need to prepare some dry food and water, which are not sold inside.
The succulent pavilion is really great, like a succulent story!
What I want to complain about is why there are red lanterns hanging everywhere on the cacti. You can’t take photos at all. The combination of red and green really subverts my aesthetic taste~, everyone should come in summer.
Xiamen Botanical Garden is very large, but the bus is also convenient. What attracted me most was the tropical rain forest area and the cactus area. We took a 5-yuan sightseeing bus to the cactus area, and then walked down slowly.
You need to take a bus to the west gate near the Railway Park, then buy a sightseeing ticket. The rainforest area and succulent plant area are good, the others are not very interesting.
There is spray from 9:00-11:00 in the morning and 2:00-4:00 in the afternoon every day. It looks very fairy-like. Many people come here to take wedding photos, but we were not in good shape and no photos came out well.
There are many strange plants. No tickets are required at certain times. You can also get a map if you buy tickets on site.
The main reason for going to the botanical garden was that a beautiful lady wanted to go to the rainforest world to take some beautiful fairy photos. As a result, she missed the time, hahaha.
The opening hours of the Rainforest World Mist Forest are from 9:00 to 11:00 in the morning and from 14:00 to 16:00 in the afternoon. So if you want to go to the rainforest to take pictures, you must calculate the time well.
After entering the scenic area, you can choose to take a sightseeing bus or walk. Of course, I believe many people will choose to take a bus because it is too tiring!!! I felt exhausted after walking a short distance... I secretly posted a photo taken
Girls must not miss the Wanshi Botanical Garden, it is really beautiful and huge. I walked from 11am to 6:30pm and only walked about one-third of the way, but I have visited all the most important places I want to visit. I strongly recommend you to go and have a look. If you buy tickets on site, you will also receive a hand-drawn map, which is very convenient for navigation. It seems that it is not provided if you buy tickets online.
The scenery here is beautiful, and the weather is good, so it's great for taking photos and strolling around.
Wanshi Botanical Garden is most famous for its succulent plant garden and tropical rain forest, which is a perfect place for taking photos. You can spend about three hours on this project. However, Wanshi Botanical Garden is very large, so you can spend a whole day there.
The ticket is very cheap and it is worth a visit, especially the succulent plant and tropical rainforest plant areas. There doesn't seem to be anything special about that area, but there are plants from different regions growing there. There, you won't feel cold even if you wear short sleeves, and you won't feel hot even if you wear a cotton jacket. It's so magical.
I bought a bus pass at the entrance for 10 yuan. The botanical garden is built on the mountain and is very large. If you don't want to climb the mountain, you can choose to take a bus. The tropical rain forest garden will spray when it is time, and it is quite dreamy to take pictures. There are not many flowers in the flower garden
Xiamen Botanical Garden is divided into several areas, including pine and fir garden, rose garden, palm garden, large cactus garden, Hundred Flowers Hall, orchid garden, etc. Among them, the most impressive is the desert plant area, with various cacti, cacti, cactus whips, cacti...
My wife was very excited about the tropical rainforest and succulent area of the botanical garden, and said that she didn’t enjoy taking photos enough.
A large botanical garden, it is worth visiting the tropical plant area and the succulent plant area.
It is recommended to take a tour bus for 10 yuan. It will stop at each plant area and you can also take a bus down the mountain.
The most impressive thing is the desert botanical garden inside. My memory of this place is that this is one of the places where my wife and I took wedding photos. Haha
I have to say that we took a lot of photos at Wanshi Botanical Garden! It was so good to take photos!! I even saw someone taking wedding photos hahaha
Dressing guide: Wearing a white skirt in a sea of green is the most photogenic! Don’t wear black, you will be drowned in the green.
I really like Xiamen Botanical Garden! It's perfect for taking photos! But we arrived at the Botanical Garden in the afternoon, so the light was not very good.
The rainforest was hazy because of the spray and was crowded, but the lighting was good when we passed by.
The internet celebrity’s check-in time is low, and the rainforest spray is really beautiful.
The ticket is 40 yuan. It's quite far to enter from the east gate. It takes a long time to walk. It's very big. You will be exhausted if you play for a whole day. Try to do your homework in advance. It's very big, but it's worth a visit.
It's really beautiful~ and very big. The cable car at the door is worth a ride~
Xiamen Botanical Garden is also one of the popular check-in spots. The must-see places are the tropical rain forest and succulent plant area. The tropical rain forest spray time is: 9:00-11:00, 14:00-16:00. The spray is refracted through the sunlight, like a fairyland, very beautiful~
Xiamen Botanical Garden is very large. It will take a long time to visit on foot. It is recommended to reserve half a day for the tour.
The giant cactus in the botanical garden is a popular photo-taking spot for internet celebrities, so don’t miss it.
Of course, in addition to cacti, there are also various exhibition venues. It is better to go in the morning because the venues close at around 5 pm.
