I probably sat there until the sun no longer showed up, the weather began to turn cooler, and the sea breeze became violent, then I was ready to move.

There are two beaches on Gulangyu Island, one is Meihua Beach and the other is Wanzai Houhai Beach. This is Meihua Beach. The beach below Sunlight Rock is very soft and you can swim there. The water is very clean. I saw many people sunbathing here and embracing the winter sun. This is also the favorite beach for old Gulangyu residents. The sea seen from here is not vast, but very peaceful.

The beach in the southwest of Gulangyu Island, from Gangzaihou to Gulangyu Arts and Crafts Institute, is a high-quality beach with gentle waves, good water quality and soft sand, suitable for sea swimming. It is the location of the legendary "Gulang Stone". In the early years, Xiamen people called it "Meihua Bathing Beach", which was a base for family vacations and weekend leisure activities.

The must-sees at Meihua Beach are Gulang Rock and the fort. To the north is Neicuoao Pier, and to the east are Riguang Rock and Shuzhuang Garden. It is diagonally opposite to Sanqiutian Pier, and you have to walk along half of Gulangyu Island to get there.
