We started from the wooden plank road around the island, and along the way we passed Hulishan Fort, Zengcuo'an, Xiamen University, the unfinished building internet celebrity photo spot, the Music Square, Huangcuo Beach, etc.

We went there in winter in Xiamen, with a temperature of around 20 degrees. Only multi-person bicycles and electric bicycles rented at fixed points in the scenic area can go up the red road! If you are not physically strong enough, it is recommended not to rent a multi-person bicycle. There are many uphills, and you will ride until you want to cry. You can choose to take a bus to go down and see it, and then get on the bus and go to the next stop. There are many buses throughout the whole journey, usually around the island. If you are not afraid of spending money, just take an electric bicycle. Anyway, when I was riding a shared bike halfway, I wanted to stop but couldn't, and I wanted to cross the road but couldn't, I almost wanted to cry, then I met two male tourists, and asked them to help me lift the guardrail and park on the other side. There are many shared bikes parked anywhere in the roadside no-parking zone, and I guess many people have been cheated. Xiamen is an island city with a certain history and culture. During my seven-day trip, I spent the entire trip traveling back and forth on one road, which is the Ring Island Road.

If it is your first time to Xiamen and your stay will not exceed ten days or half a month, this route is enough.

You will also have the same feeling. So close, yet so long apart... When I went back to the shore, I happened to see a film crew filming a program on the Ring Road. On the first day, we drove around the ring road and then went to the beach to play. On the second morning, we had planned to go to Nanputuo Temple, but the nearby attractions were too popular and parking and traffic were a headache. I was worried that it would affect my time to go to Longyan to see the Yongding Tulou in the afternoon, so I drove around here again before leaving the island.

Almost every coastal city has a road around the sea, and Xiamen is no exception. However, it is not called the Road around the Sea, but the Road around the Island.



The whole route is very long, so the best option is to ride a bicycle, and the second best option is to take the bus. If you see a nice place, you can get off and walk around for a while.

Cycling from the Convention and Exhibition Center to Huangcuo Beach, a white sand beach, there are few people on the beach except for Coconut Wind Village. On the other side is Kinmen, and you can feel the Taiwan Strait on the Fujian side.

The most beautiful part is the section from the Yanwu Bridge Skywalk to the One Country, Two Systems Beach. Everywhere is beautiful enough to take wedding photos. But it’s not so good from the East Ring Road, the beach and buildings on the roadside look very run-down. When you get to Wuyuan Bay, it becomes beautiful again, and there is also an aerial bicycle path. Finally!! The most important thing to remember is that the auxiliary road of the South Ring Road, from Huangcuo Beach to the One Country, Two Systems Beach, does not allow shared bicycles to enter. In other words, you are riding along the bicycle path on the beach, and suddenly you are not allowed to ride at the checkpoint, and you can only walk 4 kilometers before riding again. This rule is very MMP!!

Shared bicycles can be seen everywhere on the roadside, so you don’t have to squeeze into the bus, especially at tourist attractions, where you may not be able to get on the bus when you wait for it. In this romantic beach, you can always see couples riding bicycles, some riding tandem bicycles, which feels so cool, but I am too timid to try... What if I fall, I won’t lose face.

I have to say, it feels great to ride a bicycle on this coastal highway. The road is easy to ride and the sea breeze feels cool and comfortable on my body. The roads in Xiamen are undulating, so I always stand up when riding uphill.

The Ring Island Road is built along the coast, with many scenic spots along the way. It is a must-see place when visiting Xiamen. There are many double and triple bicycles for rent on the beach, as well as many public bicycles such as the yellow bikes.

This marathon track is internationally known as the most beautiful in the world. It is 31 kilometers long. There are blue sky, sea, beach and green land.

It is a seaside green promenade integrating tourism, sightseeing, leisure and entertainment.

The Ring Island Road is also the main track of the Xiamen International Marathon and is internationally known as the world's most beautiful marathon track. The greenery along the road is inlaid with the score of "Waves of Gulangyu Island", and there are marathon statues on the roadside. The red road on the roadside is only for pedestrians. This is where I first saw the sea. There are beaches, reefs, shells, and crabs. The sea water is not blue, but green. Xiamen has strange weather. It is sunny and rainy. It is hot and cold. The road around the island is very long and you can ride a bicycle. Those little crabs are only a little bit as big as a fingernail!

You really have to ride it to know. Although we rode at the beginning of the evening rush hour, with heavy traffic and crowds of people, it was beautiful under the sunset and accompanied by the street performers singing "The Rest of My Life" on the beach.

You can’t live in Xiamen without riding a bicycle. Cycling around the Ring Road, listening to the waves and feeling the sea breeze, it’s exciting to think about it. It would be even better if you had a girlfriend (there are a lot of shared bicycles every few steps on the Ring Road)

Start your after-dinner stroll along the walking trail around the island, listening to the sound of waves hitting the beach. This is the best life ever.

I rented a bicycle and rode around the island road for 30 yuan per hour. Since I don't know how to ride a bicycle, I can only rent one. I suggest you ride a shared bicycle. And the price is cheap.

The scenery of the Ring Road is no less than that of Gulangyu Island, but I didn't walk the whole way. I only went to some places such as Zengcuo'an and Guanyin Mountain. It felt very refreshing to blow the sea breeze.

Generally, you have already spent most of your energy by riding to Huangcuo. You can enjoy a slow trip by being in a daze with the sunset and the waves.

I went to Xiamen mainly to take wedding photos. Every place is very beautiful! Everyone says that the sea in Xiamen is very dirty, but you can't just look at the scenery. I think Xiamen is very beautiful. Next time I will explore other places in Fujian~

The environment is very good, the road is relatively clean, and the attractions are not far away (except Gulangyu Island). Cycling or walking are both good choices.

After passing Zengcuo'an, you can walk directly to Huandao Road. Huandao Road is very nice to ride.

You can sit down and watch the sunset. It is definitely one of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen in my life.

If you are not afraid of getting tired, you can rent a bicycle and ride around the island. The scenery along the way is very beautiful. You can also step on the sand on the beach below (it is not very clean). You don’t have to walk barefoot, it’s still nice to walk around.

It takes a whole day to walk the entire Ring Road.

Starting from Xiamen University Baicheng, passing Hulishan Fort, you can reach Calligraphy Square, Music Square, Huangcuo Beach, Coconut Wind Village, One Country, Two Systems Beach, etc. This line is a great choice for sea viewing, and the farther away from Xiamen University, the fewer tourists there are and the cleaner the sea water.

There are many people and cars on the road around the island. It is really comfortable to drive through it leisurely and unhurriedly this afternoon.

This is not really a tourist attraction, but it is my favorite part. The Ring Road is a coastal road built along the scenic area in the south of Xiamen Island, connecting all the roads from Zengcuo'an to Xiamen University. You can ride along the bicycle path beside the road, or walk along the wooden boardwalk beside the beach. There is an independent bicycle path on the road, and there will never be motor vehicles passing through. There are lights on the wooden boardwalk. I recommend you to take a good walk along the wooden boardwalk at night, walking and blowing the cool sea breeze. From time to time, you can find one or two guys singing with speakers on the beach.
