It is said that you can see the whole view of Xiamen and even Gulangyu Island from Wulao Peak. I climbed the mountain with such a vision (but the mountain is quite high). Although there was no scorching sun, the air pressure in the city, which had not even had a rainstorm, was really hot and stuffy.

So after staying on the platform ten minutes away from the top of Wulao Peak for a while, we went straight down the mountain.

Follow the steps, it's very high, it took about 45 minutes to go up, but it was very tiring, I was panting all the way. There were many people climbing on the road, both old and young, and seeing them gave me the strength to continue climbing. Although it was very tiring on the way, it was very beautiful to climb to the top, there was a feeling of sudden enlightenment, the scenery on the top was very beautiful, looking at the sea view, blowing the breeze, it was very comfortable. You can go down the mountain from the botanical garden instead of going up the mountain.

I personally tested that the scenery at the top of the mountain is not the most beautiful. For Wulao Peak, you can only see a relatively complete Xiamen University by stopping at the largest viewing platform halfway up the mountain. The mountain at the top of the mountain is too flat, and all the scenery is blocked by trees.

The exit of the botanical garden is located above Wulao Peak, which is connected to Nanputuo Temple. At the highest point of the mountain, you can see the whole view of Shimao Straits Building. There is a rest pavilion here, and many people sit there and quietly enjoy the scenery in front of them.

Nanputuo, in fact, for an atheist like me, is just an ancient cultural relic building. It is good to go and have a look.

You can overlook Xiamen University, see the sea, and watch the sunset. The mountain is not high, so I recommend going there.

The peak is only about 180 meters high and it only takes about half an hour to reach the top. If you have time, you can go and have a look. You can overlook the Xiamen University area. Climb the mountain and exercise.

Take the bus to Xiamen University West Village and follow the crowd to Nanputuo. For non-Buddhists like us, there are only two purposes for Nanputuo: buying vegetarian cakes and climbing Wulao Peak. You can get incense for free at the entrance of the temple, but we didn't get it and went directly to Wulao Peak. The whole mountain is not high at all, the scenery on the mountain is beautiful, and you can also overlook Xiamen. But for someone like me who has been lacking exercise recently, can't climb up the mountain, and is afraid to go down the mountain, this height is still a bit challenging. I miss the time when I climbed to the halfway point of Huashan without taking a breath!

There is a temple behind Nanputuo Mountain, which is nice. You can also see the scenery of Xiamen when you climb to the top of the mountain.

Going up to Putuo Temple is Wulao Peak. There is also a restaurant inside Putuo Temple. If you have enough time, it is recommended to spend a day there to have fun.
