There are not many places to play in Xiang'an, and Xiaodeng is not a tourist attraction. It is just a place to go when you are free. I took the bus there alone, and then changed to an electric car to get to the island. The island is very small. I found a local villager to learn about the history of Xiaodeng. The villagers were very enthusiastic and shared with us. In addition, there is also a leisure fishing village in Xiaodeng, which requires tickets. Friends who have leisure time can still go in and play and take a look.

Tour guide Xiaoyuan is so cool! Have a nice trip! Happy vacation on Xiaodeng Island!

I went there on May Day, thinking I would find a place that is not too popular to visit, but I was disappointed, the weather was not good. You cannot drive to the island, you can only take an electric car or a boat. I wanted to take a boat, but I walked 500 meters to the pier and asked the electric car driver, only to find out that it was closed. There was no sign telling people that it was closed.

There was nothing fun to do after arriving on the island. I had always said that the seafood on Xiaodeng Island was cheap, but I was completely ripped off. In addition, it was not wild seafood from Xiaodeng Island. It was an island restaurant near the fishing port, which should be the largest on the island. You have to clean the table and sweep the floor by yourself, and go to the kitchen to grab the dishes by yourself. You also had to wait for a long time. The fried oysters I ordered had almost no oysters in them, and the seaweed oyster pot was even worse, with no oysters and only seaweed. I also ordered a boiled shrimp, which was said to be wild, and a soy sauce squid, one fish in three ways. I was so angry that I spent 600 yuan. It was really a waste of money.

There is no fine sandy beach in Moon Bay. If you don't wear shoes, you will get your feet cut. Shell fragments and broken glass can be seen everywhere. There is no clear sea water either, it is very turbid. What I can boast is that I did see tourists who bought rain boots, small buckets and shovels to dig up crabs, small fish and shrimps.

The entire island is basically undeveloped, it's just a fishing village, and the attractions are not interesting. Disappointed

First take the bus to Dadeng, then take a boat to Xiaodeng. The island is relatively primitive, with no attractions to see and not many tourists.

At the pier of Dadeng Island, take a 10-yuan electric car to Xiaodeng Island. Looking at the Xiang'an New District opposite along the beach, the blue sea and blue sky, the mood is also great! Arriving at Xiaodeng Island, it can't be said to be very beautiful, but it does have the feeling of a small fishing village. Nowadays, the seaside is full of tourists and is very commercialized. This quiet beauty is very comfortable. The sea and the sky here are very good. Strolling on the beach, strolling in the town, and strolling in the woods. They all give people a sense of tranquility and comfort. If you haven't been to Taiwan yet and are interested in Taiwanese seaside towns other than Taipei, you can come here to experience it. You can catch crabs and small fish on the beach of Xiaodeng Island, and there are a lot of them. It also reflects the good environment of this place from the side. Xiaodeng Island is much more interesting than Dadeng Island. There won't be too much time for tourism. You can walk all over the island in two and a half hours. It is not recommended to take the electric car of Xiaodeng Island. It's too hasty. For a small village like this, you should walk to feel it. Being used to seeing tall buildings in the city, even the earthen buildings here look very special.

We hired a sightseeing car and a driver who was also a tour guide. It took more than an hour for us to play and talk. What impressed me most was the sea of Xiaodeng Island. It experiences ebb and flow of tides every day. When we first landed on the island, it was low tide. Various piles and racks on the sea were exposed. The tour guide said that these were used to grow oysters and kelp, and there were many creatures that could be dug on the beach. At night, the tide returned everything to the sea!

We got off the bus near Dadeng Island and took the sightseeing bus to Xiaocheng Island. The sea breeze was very comfortable. It was low tide when we went there. The tour guide said that we would go to cast nets to catch crabs first. I have to say that the weather was really good. It was cloudy. We went to Haikou to cast nets. The fishermen put in smelly fish and said they were for catching crabs. We cast our own nets and everyone had a number plate. We would collect the nets in the afternoon.

Next, everyone went to the fisherman's house to get rain boots, buckets and small shovels to go to the beach to catch small crabs. The tools are charged 10 yuan per person. It is recommended to catch them on the rocks on the beach. It is super fun. It feels like there are basically all kinds of crabs, just different sizes. The fishermen will also dig up the big rocks and catch the big crabs hiding under them.

It was my first time here, and overall it was very interesting. The residents on the island were very enthusiastic, and the tour guide was very nice. When the seven of us left, the tour guide gave the driver a tip to let us leave early. The lunch was very rich, all seafood. The experience of catching crabs on the beach was very interesting, highly recommended 👍

The scenery is OK. I paid 288/person for a one-day tour. It is not worth the price. The marine resources given by nature have no cost. There is little seafood for lunch. There are no cultural spots on the island. It is very boring.

By China-TravelNote users |

How should I put it? For those who have never seen the sea, it is extremely beautiful.

By chendian2009 |

It's quiet and there are few people. Next time I'll take a battery car and walk until my feet break. . .

I've been to Dadeng Island and Xiaodeng Island once. They are full of Taiwanese folk characteristics. There was also a piece of land at that time, which was said to be a future airport. They also said that this was the closest place to Taiwan. I bought a lot of food at the place selling special foods.

Xiaodeng Island faces Kinmen across the sea, and you can see the houses on the opposite side. In the "August 23" artillery battle in 1958, Xiaodeng experienced the baptism of gunpowder and fire. It was the front of the pier of the artillery battle. Now there are original bunkers, trenches and broadcasts to Taiwan on the ground of Xiaodeng. The aunt driving the battery car took me around the island and said that they often went to Kinmen Dayu in the past. People in Taiwan said that they were smuggling and would be fined, so they didn't dare to go. Xiaodeng Island has beautiful scenery and pleasant views. It is a good place for leisure and tourism.

By Brother Coffee |

The main attraction of Xiaodeng is its proximity to Kinmen. The island is covered with bamboo rafts for drying seaweed. Villagers still live on the island, and public service facilities are not good enough. It can be seen that the focus of the tourism management department and the residents on the island is not here.

By Little Monkey |

This is one of the places closest to Kinmen from the mainland of China. There is no direct vehicle. You need to take a car to Dadeng Island and then take a boat from Dadeng Pier.

A holiday destination where you have to take a battery car around the island is worth it

By yeling16 |

The seafood on Xiaodeng Island seems to be quite good and worth a visit

Xiaodeng Island was originally a small fishing village. The villagers on the island have a saying: beautiful mountains and waters, but boring. So come to this island to relax. There are many local customs and cultural products on the natural island. Wandering on the island is a different experience. Blow the sea breeze, listen to local cultural stories, eat seafood. It's nice to stay here for two days.

You can only go there by boat, and the journey takes about 20-30 minutes. It is one of the closest places to Kinmen from the mainland of China, and is only about 1,600 meters away from Kinmen Island. It is commonly known as the Three Heroic Islands. You can't go up to Jiaoyu Island, where there are garrisons. Here you can clearly see Kinmen County from the sea. Xiaodeng Island and Kinmen are across the sea, and the sounds of chickens and dogs can be heard. In the "August 23" artillery battle in 1958, Xiamen Xiaodeng Island experienced the baptism of gunpowder and fire, and was at the forefront of the artillery battle. Today, there are original bunkers, trenches and the original site of the Taiwan broadcast on the ground of Xiaodeng, and there are criss-crossing tunnels underground. Many heroes appeared in the artillery battle, and the Central Military Commission awarded the honorable title of "Three Heroic Islands". Xiaodeng Island has a deep cultural heritage of ancient Tong'an. Qiu Kui, a famous Neo-Confucian scholar, lived in seclusion in Xiaodeng for a long time. Many cultural relics and historical sites related to him were left on the island: the chess game stone, the fishing stone, the Leqiu stone, etc., all have couplets inscribed by him. Xiaodeng Island has beautiful scenery and pleasant views, and is a good place for leisure and tourism.

The scenery is very beautiful and there are many people coming. It was already noon when we arrived here and it was quite hot, so we didn't appreciate it or take too many photos.

In fact, it is just to go to this small island, experience some leisurely life, go fishing, catch fish and so on.

This outer island is highly recommended. It is better to go there during the off-season, for example after the National Day, which is around mid-to-late October.

The feeling on the island is about people's livelihood, and the food is seafood.

One day and one night is enough. You can go in the morning and stay for one night. You can book a hotel online. The hotels are relatively simple, but generally speaking they are okay.

If you are on the island, go out after 5pm when the light is more suitable for taking pictures. You can take a sightseeing electric car around the island (it is not big), and then choose a suitable place to take pictures, such as the sunset. Of course, you can also get up the next day to take pictures of the sunrise.

Xiaodeng leisure holiday villa, after getting off the boat at the pier, you can take an electric car for 2 yuan per person and arrive in about five minutes. You can book a water villa online in advance, with amazing views.

A relatively unique island with a good environment and unique features

I don't like it. There is no special scenery. Food on the island is very expensive. There are direct bus routes. Overall, I don't recommend it.

A very leisurely island is opposite Kinmen Island. From time to time, I receive messages on my mobile phone welcoming people to Taiwan.

I was bitten by an unknown insect on the island and got more than 60 bites all over my legs. The marks gradually faded after a year.

By Cat |

The kids went there before school. The sky was blue, the air was fresh, and the seafood was fresh. We stayed in a blue house facing the sea, and the flowers were blooming in the spring. The owner of the B&B also took us to the sea to dig oysters. The kids were so happy that they wanted to stay there with their family for a night on the weekend.

Xiaodeng is a relatively primitive island with beautiful natural scenery and simple folk customs. If you come to Xiamen, it is recommended to spend two days there so that you can appreciate the different customs from Gulangyu!

By Snow Purple Skirt Linen |

I have long yearned for Xiaodeng Island, not only because it is the closest inhabited island to Kinmen, Taiwan, not only because it has the most enthusiastic and simple fishermen in Xiamen, not only because it is rich in high-quality seaweed. In fact, I want to go to Xiaodeng Island, more to get away from the bustling and noisy city, to find the quiet world in my heart. Yes, this is an outlying island of Xiamen, a holiday paradise that has not been completely disturbed by the world.

This is one of the three Hero Islands. It is newly developed, but you should be careful when you go there. Ask the locals about the tides and the time period. You may not be able to go back and forth in one day. Be prepared to enjoy the tranquility and sea breeze on the island.

By Land Rover Lotto |

Xiaodeng Island is the closest island from Xiamen to Kinmen County, Taiwan. You can take a boat to see the soldiers on the island up close.

By Wowo |

I went there in 2005, but unfortunately it was winter. The sea breeze made my face peel, but it was also during this time that my skin became very good, and the scenery was nice. I never went there again after that.

By Buy and it will fall |

There are relatively few people on Xiaodeng Island. Most of the young people have gone out to work, leaving only the elderly, women and children.

By Tingting-vivila |

The entrance fee to the island is 30 yuan. There are some seaside villas with very good environments on the island, and accommodation is free of charge. On the island, you can go fishing with the fishermen, or go fishing on the beach with a few friends or experience mermaid floating. If you are tired, you can lie comfortably in the steam room, or you can enjoy a barbecue by yourself.

Xiaodeng Island is located at the junction of Xiang'an, Nan'an, Jinjiang and Kinmen, and is the throat of Wuhai Lake.

pier

pier

It faces Weitou of Jinjiang City across the sea to the east, is adjacent to Dadeng Island to the west, faces Beitaiwu of Kinmen Island to the south, and leans against Hongjian Mountain of Nan'an City to the north. Since ancient times, the waterway here is unobstructed, and it is the only way for ships to go north to Quanzhou and south to Xiamen. It "leads Zhangzhou and Quanzhou to control Wuhai", and its geographical location is very important. The terrain of Xiaodeng Island is like a sleeping beauty lying on her back, with her head resting on the green mountains and her feet touching the blue waves of the sea, and her expression is peaceful and serene.
