Finally, we booked a one-day tour to Yunshuiyao. Everything was good except the high price. The driver contacted us at 8:15 in the morning and it was pretty good. Yunshuiyao is much quieter than Zhouzhuang and Wuzhen, and not so commercialized. Especially before we had dinner, there were few tourists. After dinner, it should be that the big groups came, which seemed a bit noisy. We had lunch at Chen Kun's house during the filming of Yunshuiyao, and the taste was okay. There is a stream running through Yunshuiyao, which adds to the aura and beauty of the place. Many century-old banyan trees can be seen everywhere by the stream, "On the banyan trees by the pond, cicadas are calling Xiatian loudly." These big banyan trees also witnessed the long history of Yunshuiyao.

The most famous part of Yunshuiyao is probably the windmill, but I haven't seen the movie, so I don't have much feeling about it, so I just took it as a landscape. The earthen buildings here are bigger than those in Tianluokeng, and there are more houses in the middle. There is also a building that you can climb up to visit.

When I went upstairs, the scenery was indeed different. If the weather was better, I believe it would be even more beautiful.

The district has a large north-south span. It takes half an hour to walk from Hegui Building to Huaiyuan Building, which is more than 2 kilometers. We entered from Pushan Parking Lot and pulled the suitcases on the cobblestone road. It was so refreshing.

Walking along the stone road and across the wooden bridge, you will arrive at the stage. Puppet show is a unique style of Xiang Opera, reflecting the inheritance of the essence of Xiang Opera by the Yunshuiyao people.

By the creek, a group of villagers who came together just because of their love for musical instruments gathered together, talking and singing by themselves, attracting people who came due to the sound to sit or stand and clap along with them, and from time to time there were bursts of applause and cheers, which brought joy and enjoyment to the tourists.

With the arrival of tour groups, most tourists gathered on this narrow thousand-year-old road, which was crowded with small vendors and a bit noisy.

Yunshuiyao is full of cobblestone roads, which are very awkward to walk on. I recommend wearing flat shoes. I wear white sneakers, which are so fast that I can take off.

Yunshuiyao became famous because of a movie. People can come here to pursue the romantic plot in the movie. It can be said that a place became famous because of a drama.

But it is precisely the fame of this place that has led to a strong commercial atmosphere here.

After entering the scenic area, you will basically have entered the gravel road. It is recommended that you come with a backpack. If you have a suitcase but find it troublesome, you can leave it at the luggage storage in the scenic area. Ladies should also not wear high heels to avoid spraining their feet.

The impressive waterwheel in the movie is not the original one, but a new one built for the movie. It was not dismantled after the filming. Unfortunately, you can't enter here. Chen Kun's house in the movie is now a restaurant and can be visited for free. The gravel road in the village is the Yunshuiyao Trail. Walking on it vaguely gives you the feeling of the past. The village next to it has begun to commercialize, but the degree is acceptable. There are too many people from travel agencies coming and going, and the tranquility of the Hekeng Tulou is missing.

The traffic was congested and the scenic spot set up a temporary ticket office in the parking lot, which was very user-friendly. You didn't have to get off the car to buy tickets. The climate in the mountains changes rapidly. It started to rain in less than an hour and the temperature dropped sharply. The most eye-catching thing in the village was the earthen buildings scattered at the foot of the mountain, beside the stream bank, and in the fields. Imagine how it would feel to sit under the banyan tree in a quiet town, sipping tea and looking at the scenery. It's a pity that the scenery is still the same, but the heart can't calm down. It started to rain, and we hid under the stilt house.

You can go and quietly enjoy this beautiful village, feel the beauty of nature, and the local customs and customs here. This is a place where you can calm down. You don't need to bother to find the beauty of Yunshuiyao. Every corner of it has an intoxicating charm. Walking into the ancient village, you are no longer a tourist passing by in a hurry, but a scholar who has strayed into the Peach Blossom Spring. I like a passage in "Big Fish and Begonia": In this short life, we will eventually lose everything. I didn’t think this line was so good when I watched this movie before, until I came to the Hakka earth buildings in Zhangzhou, Fujian, where Chun and Qiu originally lived in the film. Suddenly, I fell in love with these earth buildings full of fireworks in the film.

Yunshuiyao requires a ticket, but you can walk through the scenic area! No need to wait for the scenic area bus that will arrive at any time! There are many people shouting and selling fruits on the way into the scenic area. Among them, there is a small pineapple that is my favorite. 3 boxes for 10 yuan, it is not a problem for one person to take 3 boxes. If you feel that you can't finish it, you can also sell it in individual boxes.

Compared with Tianluokeng, Yunshuiyao has a stronger commercial atmosphere, with many vendors selling tea or dried goods along the way.

It is recommended to park in the public parking lot. There are shuttle buses between the parking lots. It is really tiring to walk along the river from Huaiyuan Building to Fuxing Building. It is all cobblestone roads, and my feet are sore.

Yunshuiyao Ancient Town includes two earth buildings in a line, first the Hegui Building, then the ancient town, and finally the Huaiyuan Building. It is recommended to park the car in the parking lot at the entrance, take a walk around, and then take the scenic shuttle bus back to the entrance.

It's a bit commercialized, but all the famous ancient towns in China are like this, so you'll get used to it. You can buy some ginger candy as a souvenir.

Yunshuiyao Tourist Area is quite far away, and it takes 2 hours to get there from downtown Zhangzhou. It's nice to walk around the scenic area, see the unique earthen buildings in the country, and the Yunshuiyao Ancient Town. The scenery is pretty good. Life here feels very comfortable, and you can enjoy tea and the scenery. The business atmosphere is quite strong, and it's nice to walk around.

Because the place where the movie became popular has five big banyan trees, which is a beautiful countryside scenery. The mud houses, stone bridges, banyan trees, and water wheels are indeed beautiful southern Fujian folk scenery. However, the commercial atmosphere is a bit strong now, and there are a lot of people on holidays.

Why haven't I seen anyone mention it on any major websites? It's too easy to get tickets for the Yunshui Yao Scenic Area without having to pay. Although there are security guards sitting at the ticket gates of several scenic spots, they are all very casual and idle. Apart from accepting group tickets handed over by tour guides, they don't seem to bother to ask individual tourists to go over to check their tickets if you are a little far away. And this scenic area is open in all directions, there is no need to get close to the ticket gate... We did buy tickets, but we didn't see anyone else checking along the way, so we felt like we were at a loss, haha.

The ancient road is long, the stream is gurgling, the ancient trees are surrounding, the mountains are heavy, it is natural, beautiful, ethereal and quiet. Being in it, the comfort and beauty are shocking to the heart, and it is beyond words.

Sit under the banyan tree, order a pot of tea, drink by yourself, listen to the roar of the stream, watch the water splashing, smell the fragrance of the grass, forget the fatigue of the journey for a while, and let your soul be in paradise on earth.

The importance of naming is not only reflected in people and things, but also in scenic spots. This place used to be called "Changjiao Village" (very rustic), but later it became famous because of a movie "Yunshui Yao". Later, people renamed this beautiful mountain village "Yunshui Yao". (Very fashionable)

Later, nearly ten movies were filmed here one after another. Gradually, more and more people came here because of the name "Yunshui Yao" and wanted to experience the quiet beauty of this ancient village for themselves.

The banyan tree in Yunshuiyao is a highlight. In this small village, there are 13 banyan trees that are 100 years old or even more than 1,000 years old. The largest one requires more than 10 people to hug it. However, it is said that making a wish silently under the largest thousand-year-old banyan tree is very effective. I made a wish that day and it came true 5 minutes later.

I just mentioned that there are a lot of banyan trees here, really a lot. There is a river called "Changjiao Creek" in the village. For thousands of years, it has been gurgling through the village, leaving behind patches of green grass and bays of clear water, and then flowing to the distant mountains.

In fact, the most attractive thing here is the earthen buildings, which is also the reason why many people come here.

These earthen buildings are scattered at the foot of the mountain, beside the stream and in the fields, and are majestic and spectacular. Among them, there is the Hegui Building, which is built on the swamp and is known as "the most amazing building in the world", the well-preserved double-ring circular earthen building "Huaiyuan Building", and the stilt buildings and bamboo pole buildings.

In fact, I came to Yunshuiyao 10 years ago. At that time, it was really a small mountain village and did not have the commercial atmosphere it has today. Now, many attractions have been added on the original basis, but I don’t know why I have no interest in these at all.

Yunshuiyao, "Nanjing Yunshuiyao" was originally named Changjiao. It is located in Nanjing County, Zhangzhou City. It is a scenic spot of the world cultural heritage "Fujian Tulou" and is a national 5A level scenic spot. There are beautiful mountains and rivers and rich humanities. The long ancient road, century-old banyan trees, magical Tulou, and the sacred mountains and clear waters in the village all give people a transcendent feeling. At the end of 2005, the movie "Yunshuiyao", adapted from the movie literary script "Searching" written by Zhang Kehui based on his and several Taiwanese life experiences, was filmed here. After the successful application of Fujian Tulou for World Heritage status, in order to establish a brand by using the name of "Yunshui Yao", the humanistic connotation and moral sentiment of this excellent work "Yunshui Yao" were fully displayed on this ancient plank road in southwestern Fujian, allowing tourists to appreciate the beautiful scenery of the strange building, appreciate the ancient road and the clear water, and feel the profound roots of the exchanges between Fujian and Taiwan. The local government officially named this ancient road in the village, which is more than 10 kilometers long and paved with pebbles, as "Yunshui Yao Ancient Plank Road", and named Changjiao as the "Yunshui Yao" ancient town.

This legendary beautiful place has its own charm. It is cooler and quieter than Xiamen. You don’t need to turn on the air conditioner when you sleep at night, and you still need to cover yourself with a quilt in the middle of the night. The folk customs there are still very simple, and the scenic area is not too commercial. There are few tourists at night. The whole scenic area is quiet, except for the flowing water and the croaking of frogs. A few of us night wanderers wandered to the riverside to watch the stars in the middle of the night, but we were very careful.

There are 8 century-old trees in Yunshuiyao. These two are different. They are called "husband and wife trees". It is said that a long time ago, there was a war and the husband was called to join the army. The wife planted one of the trees when her husband left. After waiting for many years, her husband did not come back. Later, the wife learned that her husband died in the battlefield, so she planted another tree alone. As time went by, the two trees grew very well, and a very strange thing happened. Normal branches would not be connected, but the branches of these two trees actually grew together. It feels very loving. There are still people living in the interior of Heguilou, most of whom are local elderly people, so it is not allowed to go upstairs to visit. A movie many years ago made Yunshuiyao Ancient Town more and more popular, and the scenery is of a small fresh style.

Yunshuiyao is one of my favorite ancient towns I have visited. It is not as noisy as Fenghuang and Xitang, but very quiet and beautiful. Doesn’t it reveal my age? There is a long Jiao River in the town, which was the main transportation channel of the town in ancient times. Fourteen big banyan trees decorate the beauty of the ancient town. Huaiyuan Tower and Hegui Tower, two world cultural heritage sites, record the long history of the town.

The whole town is paved with cobblestones, and many of the house foundations are made of cobblestones. The pavement is a legacy of history and a plus point for being a world cultural heritage, which is definitely a major feature of Yunshui Yao.

The banyan trees in this town are really unique. The town is suitable for staying for 3-5 days, slowly experiencing the elegance of slow life, it is really beautiful, I think, if you have the opportunity to experience it yourself, it will definitely be worth the trip.

Compared with today's reinforced concrete, the original earthen buildings better reflect the architectural wisdom of the ancestors. The Hegui Building built on the swamp is incredible. The construction of Huaiyuan Building is also the prospect of the future and the memory of growth for every person who has traveled far away. The earthen building is low-key but noble. When you see Yunshuiyao, she is simply a pure and elegant girl.

I signed up for a one-day tour from Xiamen and went to Yongding Tulou and Zhangzhou Yunshui Yao, which are 200 kilometers away from Xiamen. The quaint villages, ancient banyan trees, magical Tulou, long cobblestone roads... The scenery was okay, but it was depressing to travel with a tour group. We always had to gather, and there were too many people when I wanted to take pictures. In short, I felt very rushed and was very tired after the day.

The tour guide is not very good. The scenery is OK and quite unique. Don't be cheated by the tour guide. The local guide will take you to his home to drink tea and force you to buy tea. If you don't buy it, you won't leave. I thought it was a scenic spot when I heard the introduction on the road. It was called the Little Swallow's House next to the seventh banyan tree. It's a rip-off. The whole process only counted the number of people and didn't explain. I followed the tour guide of other groups throughout the whole process. The group meal was 8 stir-fried dishes such as boiled cauliflower in water. It was said that we had a pure play but we haven't reached the scenic spot yet. We took them to buy local specialties first.

The tour guide service is OK, but the landscape of the earthen buildings is not particularly good, and the sense of the ancient town is not particularly distinctive compared to other ancient towns in China.

It's a beautiful place. Some people think it's too remote, but I like it very much. There are too many tour groups, one after another. After the tour groups leave, it's much quieter and you can enjoy the surrounding scenery. There are many hundreds of years old trees, and the red bananas are super delicious. We all regret not buying more.

Rubbish, very bad attitude, unreasonable tickets, expensive housing, some shabby rooms are more expensive than hotels, rip-off, ugly scenic area, students book tickets based on appearance, if they look mature, they are charged adult tickets, totally unreasonable, come once and never again! Very bad!

I've been here. I've been to Xiamen but I didn't go to Yunshuiyao. It seems like something is missing. There's no surprise.

The ancient town can actually be walked through in half a day. I spent the rest of the time sitting by the river, enjoying the breeze and daydreaming.
