There was nothing interesting at night, so I just looked at the Yellow River Bridge, which is a steel structure. I felt it shake when the cars passed by. The bridge I took pictures of at my place is not Yantan. This is the Yellow River Bridge. Because it is a highway, I sneaked up. Now I think it is a bit interesting and a bit pretentious. The cars on the highway are very fast. I didn’t know how I ran to the other side. Then it was interesting when I got off the highway. The toll collector looked at me, I looked at the toll collector and then I left. Thinking back now, I am so scared.

Yellow River Scenic Line Introduction:

The Yellow River originates from Qinghai. The waters flowing through Lanzhou are not as wide as those in the lower reaches. The waterwheel was created by Duan Xu, a native of Duanjiatai, Lanzhou in the Ming Dynasty. It once irrigated thousands of acres of fertile land on both sides of the Yellow River. However, the most exciting thing is the Yellow River Cableway not far from the "Waterwheel Park". etc......

When I arrived in Lanzhou, the water level of the Yellow River was quite high. Judging from the benches and trees soaked in the river, the Yellow River had exceeded the usual water level. Seeing that the sheepskin raft dock had reached the middle of the river, we knew that our dream of riding a sheepskin raft to travel the Yellow River would be in vain. Walk at least 3 kilometers upstream along the river bank to see the Yellow River Mother Statue. In fact, this statue is much smaller than expected, and even the image is not as good as expected, but perhaps because of the good meaning, or the Yellow River complex of the descendants of Yan and Huang, there are always endless tourists in front of the Yellow River Mother Statue.

There are many tea stalls on the river bank. My daughter and I were not in a hurry to get on the road, so we chose one and sat down and ordered a cup of the legendary "San Pao Tai". San Pao Tai uses longan, raisins, jujube, wolfberry, and rock sugar as auxiliary materials, and is paired with spring tea. The "content" is very rich. When brewing, the first brew should be poured out, which is considered to be washing the tea. Start drinking from the second brew (fourth tone, not first tone), and the more you drink, the sweeter it becomes. Like beef noodles, San Pao Tai is only authentic in Lanzhou.

On the south bank of the Yellow River, there is a pier where you can take a sheepskin raft, which is the most primitive and oldest means of ferrying on the Yellow River. Since most of the upper reaches of the Yellow River are pastoral areas, sheepskin is widely available. After inflating it, it is tied to a wooden rack and then tied tightly with ropes.

My daughter and I bought a raft ticket and rode with another family. The water of the Yellow River was sometimes turbulent and sometimes calm, flowing through the gaps in the raft, and the master who "drove the boat" was always calm. There was a "naughty kid" on the shore who was splashing water at us, but unfortunately his aim was a little off, so his mother beat him up and helped us out. Many young people were dancing hip-hop on the shore, and countless kites were circling in the sky. Lanzhou was always full of "freedom".

Lanzhou Bund is a good place to see the Yellow River up close, and then you can take a cable car to the opposite mountain to play.

Lanzhou is the only provincial capital city where the Yellow River runs through the city. A nearly 10-kilometer Yellow River Scenic Line has been built along the Yellow River. The Waterwheel Park and Zhongshan Bridge are both on this line.

It is the entire Yellow River scenic area from the Yellow River Mother Statue to the Zhongshan Bridge! It is recommended to rent a bicycle and ride slowly along the Yellow River! It feels good!

Sitting by the Yellow River in summer, drinking eight-treasure tea, feeling the breeze, and chatting with my parents is really very pleasant.

The three of us had a pot of water and three cups of tea, and chatted until the lights came on. We also took a look at the night view of the Yellow River. It was pretty good.

The only regret is that I didn't take a sheepskin raft to float on the Yellow River.

These are old photos taken during a business trip to Lanzhou in 2007. After lunch, I took a walk nearby. The Yellow River is indeed as yellow as its reputation says. I seem to remember there were pig skin rafts next to it, which is also a major feature.

I don't know if the "Yellow River Scenic Line" is where we took the sheepskin raft. It was cloudy when we went there, and there were not many people on the Yellow River. There were only nine of us at the ticket office for the sheepskin raft. Since we were already here and there were no sheepskin rafts to take elsewhere, of course we had to give it a try. Really, the feeling of sitting on the sheepskin raft was great. I don't know how to describe it, it was just very comfortable.

Although this is not the first time I have seen the water of the Yellow River, I can't help but sigh that it is really impossible to wash it clean even if you jump into the Yellow River!

No matter when, walking along this scenic line by the Yellow River, watching the Yellow River rolling by, it feels very pleasant. You can take a break and enjoy a glass of San Pao Tai or a bottle of Huanghe Wang when you are not in a hurry. The cool breeze in summer soothes the rare coolness in the hot summer. You can also take a water bus at the ferry and cruise along the Yellow River. The ticket price is very cheap.

There was heavy rain on the first day of my arrival and the water level of the Yellow River rose sharply. I felt incredible when I saw the water recede on the second day.

The river water has more sediment and the water color is also more yellow. Maybe not far upstream, in the Zhangye section, the Yellow River water is still clear.

After sitting, I can boldly tell the bees that the sheepskin raft is quite safe. Although sometimes the speedboat passes by and splashes a lot of waves, as long as you sit well and don't move around, the feeling is not called horror but excitement.

The water flow of the Yellow River there is very slow. You can see the surging Yellow River water in Lanzhou, but the water quality should not be very good. I touched it and it left a smell. Trees are planted by the Yellow River, so it won't be too hot in summer. Walk along the mother river, look at the Baita Mountain Park opposite, and look at the green willows caressing the bank. Sheepskin rafts float on the river from time to time. This ancient means of transportation on the Yellow River has now become a tourist experience project.
