Zhangye Colorful Danxia Tourist Scenic Area

The second time I came, I was still shocked. I took the shuttle bus from the north gate to the scenic area. The viewing platforms are 2-1-5-4. I think 1 and 4 are must-sees. They are very spectacular. I think 2 doesn't have the grandeur and characteristics of Danxia. 5 is not convenient for elderly people with children. The weather has a great impact on the photography effect. It rained the day before I went, so the sky felt particularly clear the next day, and the large Danxia was also particularly clear.

We arrived on March 9th. The weather was quite cold, but there were not many people. The service and facilities of the scenic area were very good, the toilets were very clean, and the driver was qualified. However, what shocked me was the masterpiece of nature. We stayed at Xinyue Hotel at night. The proprietress gave us a route map, which is very important. It is helpful to check it before going so as not to get lost.

We first took a long-distance bus from Shandan Bus Station to Zhangye East Bus Station, and then transferred from the East Station to the West Station.

There are buses from Zhangye West Bus Station directly to the Colorful Danxia Scenic Area. The fare is 10 yuan and the journey takes one hour.

【Food and accommodation】

We stayed at Danxia Youth Hostel that day, and the triple room cost 130 yuan.

Dinner and breakfast the next day were served at the inn.

【Tickets】

The ticket to Colorful Danxia is 40 yuan, and the transportation fee to the scenic area is 20 yuan, totaling 60 yuan.

There was no online shopping at that time, so I bought it directly at the entrance of the scenic spot. If you want to enter the park again the next morning to watch the sunrise, remember to register before buying the ticket to enter the park, then get a stamp at the farmhouse where you stayed that night, and then buy a scenic spot transportation ticket (20 yuan) the next morning and enter the park before 8 am.

Enter the gate of the scenic area and you can get on the shuttle bus. You can visit the No. 1, 2, 3, and 4 viewing platforms in order. After visiting the No. 4 viewing platform, the return shuttle bus will take you directly back to the gate of the scenic area, which is very convenient. There are 5 viewing platforms in the scenic area. When we went there, the highest viewing platform No. 2 was under repair due to the collapse of the stairs caused by rain, so it was not open to visitors. The No. 5 viewing platform is newly built and has not been repaired yet, so we were not able to visit it. We only went to the 1st, 3rd, and 4 viewing platforms. The total tour time is about 2-3 hours.

The colorful Danxia landform is very unique. I missed the sunrise and sunset because the weather was not very good.

I have to complain that this is another scenic spot ruined by management.

You can still visit after 5pm, but the staff at the parking lot are constantly chasing people away. Basically, they ask you to get on the bus as soon as you get off. Their attitude is very bad.

If it is not possible to guarantee 20 minutes of visiting time at each spot, shouldn't tourists be allowed to visit the scenic area so late, and have to pay for tickets to enter the scenic area and then take a minibus for half an hour?

I have seen the colorful Danxia movies countless times, and I imagine that this kind of spectacular will be as moving as taking a hot air balloon to overlook Turkey. It is indeed a 5a scenic spot, with good service and hardware. There are four viewing platforms in total, each with different views. We took the scenic shuttle bus to the second viewing platform. There are no guardrails. Chinese people are very hardworking in taking pictures. The young brother who manages it ran up and down, and his voice was almost hoarse. It was really not easy.

We saw the colorful Danxia landforms under the afterglow of the sunset, which looked like wrinkled pork belly and large scallops. The most classic No. 4 viewing platform was occupied by photography enthusiasts early on, and there were crowds of people.

I traveled for a whole day just to see the wonders of nature and witness the beautiful sunset over the colorful Danxia. It was a bumpy hot air balloon journey. After several flight cancellations, my dream finally came true. I was so excited that my friends and I ran across the sky and broke the sunglasses in my hand. I didn’t care about being sad and kept taking photos in the air... I came down with a feeling of not having achieved enough. This trip was a complete success!

There are buses running between the observation decks. The buses are relatively large and can hold a lot of people, so you don't have to wait for long.

As soon as you enter the large scallop scenic area, it looks quite similar, with scallop caps one by one.

Not all mountains have colors, some look like ordinary mountains, and the colored mountains are developed for viewing. This is a landform that has existed since who knows when, and if it is destroyed by humans, it will take a very long time to recover, and it may not exist anymore.

The observation deck on the top of the mountain was crowded with people

Although it was cloudy and there was no sunlight for the Danxia to reflect brilliant colors, it was still enough to amaze me! It was like painting on the top of the mountain with a colored pen, painting on the mountain one by one, mainly orange-red, with light yellow, yellow-white, and cyan in between. Some places even reflected golden light in the occasional sunlight. I think this Danxia is much more colorful than our Danxia Mountain in Guangdong.

We were tourists from Ximen, so we took the shuttle bus to visit several observation decks in the order shown in the picture. The latter one was indeed more beautiful!

You can also take a helicopter ride here to see the scenery, and paragliding? They are just lined up like kites.

We entered from the north gate. If you want to watch the sunrise the next morning, you can enter the park before 8 o'clock with your fingerprint.

The shuttle bus only stops at six observation decks. We first saw Observation Deck 2. It was really beautiful at first glance. Observation Deck 1 was the largest.

Due to time constraints, we did not get off the shuttle bus at the No. 5 viewing platform, but went directly to the most popular No. 6 viewing platform, which has the most beautiful sunset and the most people.

Because there were too many people on the top of the mountain, it was difficult to get up. We took two photos and then went down. In fact, I think the photos taken from below will look better. When I was taking the photos, I kept exclaiming, "It's so beautiful, so beautiful." The tourist photos taken by someone for me are not that beautiful.

The formation of Danxia landform is very long, so tourists should not damage it while watching it.

When it was almost dark, the staff urged everyone to get on the shuttle bus quickly because the scenic area was about to close. The time I spent in Qicai Danxia was a bit short. I had enough time and really wanted to see every viewing platform.

The weather forecast before we came was for light rain, but when we arrived it was cloudy. It didn't feel as beautiful without the sun, it felt a bit ordinary and desolate.

The scenic spot is really crowded during the summer vacation... It is really not easy to take a photo without so many people. The Danxia landform is the most beautiful at sunset, but the sunset here does not start until after 8 o'clock, so we can only wait.

At sunset, the sun was slowly released by the clouds, covering the mountains with a beautiful golden coat, which was quite shocking!

We didn't know today was a free ticket day until we got to the ticket purchase area. They didn't even give me a chance to keep my ticket stub. I was really asking for trouble. But I still had to buy the sightseeing bus ticket. Along the way, I searched on Weibo for tips on how to take photos. I have to admit that post-production is important. Of course, the reality was also spectacular, but what surprised me more was how well it was preserved. There was basically no garbage, because we had to walk a long way.

There are four viewing platforms here, and you must take a car to each viewing platform and queue up at a fixed parking space to get on the bus. Viewing Platform No. 4 is the best place to watch the sunset. [No. 4, No. 4, No. 4], in order to occupy a favorable position to watch the sunset, I gave up the viewing platform in front and gave up taking more photos at the viewing platform No. 4. I just stood there and waited for the sunset. Unfortunately, it was just an ordinary sunset that day and did not amaze me.

Tips: To occupy a favorable geographical position at the No. 4 viewing platform, the higher the better. If you want to take a good sunset photo, my experience is to stand at the corner of the stairs.

Danxia Mountain looks like a palette overturned by God, with bright and beautiful colors, as if it were transformed from the colorful clouds in the sky. Of course, this is a literary way of saying it. (In Zhazha's opinion, this is just a piece of pork belly)

We also saw people riding hot air balloons here. We were extremely envious and jealous. We just hated ourselves for being poor students.

But when we were enjoying the beautiful scenery of Danxia, we saw some discarded plastic bags, paper scraps and other garbage outside the guardrail. How abrupt these things were scattered in this paradise on earth. And just a few days before we came here, a woman ignored the obstruction, crossed the fence and stepped on the precious Danxia landform protection area. And this line of footprints may take 60 years or even longer to recover. So I hope that friends who come here to play in the future can pay attention to this. We all have the responsibility to protect such beautiful scenery~

Speaking of Danxia geological structure, the first thing that comes to mind is Danxia. But in fact, this is a new scenic spot that was gradually developed in 2010. With good marketing and capital operation, it has now become a well-known must-see attraction.

In short, I think Zhangye Danxia is more famous than it actually is, and it is a rather disappointing attraction. If I had known this, I would have gone to Jiayuguan to see the Great Wall!

The so-called scenic area is just 4 viewing platforms. The No. 1 and No. 4 viewing platforms are located higher and can take in more scenery. But in general, the scenery is relatively simple, and when I visited the No. 4 viewing platform, I was already a little tired of it.

In comparison, the Chishui Danxia in Guizhou is more interesting, with forests, canyons, waterfalls, Danxia landforms, and more diverse ecology, but it is not as well publicized as Zhangye, so not many friends from other provinces know about it. We will advertise it and welcome friends from other provinces to visit.

The ticket price for Zhangye Danxia is 75/person, including the car. I think it is a relatively good ticket for the scenic spot.

There are four viewing platforms in Zhangye Danxia. The scenic area bus takes tourists to each viewing platform in a one-way loop. Tourists can get off the bus and move around the viewing platform, but the road where the bus is walking is not allowed for tourists. It is said that it is for the protection of the scenic area. In other words, your itinerary inside is planned and you cannot move freely. I personally think that the most outstanding one is the No. 4 viewing platform. Many people watch the sunset here, so you can arrange your time when you first come in to avoid being top-heavy.

It is recommended to charter a car. It is more troublesome to take a shuttle bus. I took the bus and changed cars twice. When I came back, I was sent to the city and had to take a taxi back to where I lived. There are many types of Danxia, each of which is so charming. It's like a charming fragrance in the air.

On the way, I looked at the photos of the colorful Danxia that my cousin had visited a few days ago, and I was a little excited, but I didn't feel it when I arrived at the scene. We didn't do our homework in advance, and we didn't know where to start. I hurriedly searched on Baidu and found that there are a total of 4 viewing platforms in the scenic area, and the best viewing platform for sunset is No. 4. Due to time constraints, we decided to go to the more recommended viewing platforms No. 2 and No. 4. Following the order of the scenic area shuttle bus, we went to the No. 2 viewing platform first, but we didn't seem to go to the right position, and the scenery felt average. Then I hurried to the No. 4 viewing platform. Oh my God, there are so many people here... It can be compared with the Guangzhou Metro Death Line 3 during rush hour. The management of the scenic area on going up and down the mountain is also very chaotic, which leads to more serious congestion... Looking at the flow of people, our location and the time of sunset, it feels that we have no chance to see the sunset, but we are stuck in the upper middle position, neither up nor down. Thinking that we may have time to come tomorrow, we persisted and still reached the top of the mountain. When we reached the top of the mountain, there was still some afterglow after sunset. When we were about to go down the mountain, there was another bright moon hanging high in the sky. When I was a child, my grandmother said that the moon on the 15th day of the lunar month is round on the 16th day of the lunar month. It was really round. The park can be entered twice. After rushing all day, it really felt a bit of a pity to rush through the flowers. We entered the information before leaving the park so that we could come again tomorrow. When we went back to meet up with the other two friends, they also wanted to go again tomorrow. After discussing the departure time tomorrow with the master, we decided to go together again tomorrow morning to watch the sunrise to make up for it. We lined up to buy tickets and then lined up to take the bus into the park. When we climbed to the No. 1 viewing platform, there were already many people, and the places suitable for watching the sunrise were all occupied. We finally found a good position. There was a child in front of us, who just didn't block us. After waiting for a long time, it was already very bright, but the sun hadn't come out yet. Soon the expected sunrise time had arrived, but there was still no sunrise. Someone said that there would be no sunrise today. But with the experience of watching the sunrise in Dunhuang last time, we obviously didn't believe that there would be no sunrise. Soon, the sun came out, especially red, which was different from the sunrise in the desert and the river. After watching the sunrise, I was satisfied and took some photos. Then I went to other viewing platforms and saw hot air balloons and paragliders. Because I was particularly eager to try the hot air balloons in Turkey, I didn't have the urge to try the hot air balloons in the colorful Danxia. Of course, we didn't have time. Finally, I visited all four viewing platforms and felt that this was a very tasteless attraction and could be abandoned.

There was a little rain. In the colorful Danxia without a single tree, I think a little rain is a good thing. In fact, the color of Danxia in the rain is deeper and more beautiful. As the shuttle bus moves forward, the deeper it goes, the more shocked it is! The nine-color mountain looks like soil but not soil. It is rock containing various minerals. This place is simply a palette of nature!

This is a place where God accidentally overturned the palette. The colorful Danxia is different from the simple red Danxia in other places. It is a colorful Danxia, which is a rare natural wonder. Seeing Danxia with your own eyes can only be expressed as shock! The colors of each hill here are so colorful and gorgeous, and every place is a gift from nature!

When we arrived at Zhangye Danxia Geopark, there was no one there, including the ticket seller. We waited for a long time before the bus came out. The sightseeing bus was full, but because it was too early and there was no one there, they took the four of us. We didn't see many people inside, and it felt like we had the whole mountain to ourselves. It was awesome.

The first place we entered was the colorful Danxia, which was gorgeous. If the sun was shining, the colors of the Danxia would be more vivid, but it was a pity that it rained that day, but we could also see the sea of clouds and fog, which was also a different view.

There are 4 points in total if I remember correctly, and the last point is the best looking and has the brightest color.

The best time to photograph the Colorful Danxia is in the afternoon, when the sunlight shines on the landforms, presenting a variety of colors. But the key is to see if God will fulfill your wish? !

Our luck was not too bad. After all, the sunlight sometimes shone through the clouds and was sometimes blocked by the clouds. This kind of hazy appearance also had a unique charm. So some of the photos I took had sunshine and some were hazy.

In order to save time, we also bought the tickets for Danxia Park directly online. However, when we arrived at Danxia Park in a hurry, we found that it was a gloomy and rainy day... Without the blue sky, white clouds and sunshine, the beauty of the colorful Danxia was much less...

Danxia Park has several viewing points, and each viewing point has buses that go to and from the park, so it is very convenient to visit. There is only one route, so you won’t get lost. Just follow the bus from beginning to end.



However, due to the bad weather, looking along the way, against the gloomy sky, the mountains with red and yellow stripes looked like ordinary dirt hills, so the weather is really important.

Just when I was lamenting how bad the weather was, a rainbow slowly appeared in front of me! And the rainbow became bigger and more obvious, the crowd around me started to get excited, and some even started to cheer, because what appeared before our eyes was a huge, complete double rainbow! !

This is truly a gift and surprise from nature, an unexpected miracle of this trip! The dark clouds that had covered the sky turned into drizzle, and the sunset was finally no longer blocked by the dark clouds. With the cooperation of the sunset and the drizzle, I saw a shocking sight I had never seen before. I had never seen such a big and complete rainbow, because I had never been so close to a rainbow, as if I could touch it with my hand.

At the same time, under the reflection of the setting sun, the mountains of the entire Danxia Park look like they are burning with flames, making people unable to take their eyes away.

Fortunately, at the last moment before the park closed, we were able to see the beautiful scenery, which was worth the trip, and the day ended successfully.

The entrance fee to the scenic spot is 74 yuan, which includes the bus fare in the scenic spot. After buying the ticket, I dragged my heavy body to the first scenic spot. Although the rain stopped, there were still thick clouds in the sky, so the photos were not as good as those on a sunny day. Because I was dizzy, I forgot what I experienced in the scenic spot.

This is the most famous Danxia landform scenic spot in the country. I can't remember the specific geological conditions even if I searched Baidu. Anyway, I saw layers of mountains with different colors, as beautiful and shining as a rainbow. Maybe I was hungry when I arrived at the scenic spot. I felt that the red, yellow, green and blue colors looked like the rainbow cake at home, so I really wanted to have a bite...

There are five viewing platforms in the scenic area, and there are shuttle buses between the five viewing platforms. In fact, if you want to take a closer look at each viewing platform, it takes about an hour, so if you want to see them all, you really need to reserve most of the day. If time is tight, you can choose only 2 or 3 viewing platforms. After all, the scenery is mostly the same. You can also choose to watch hot air balloons here, but unfortunately the hot air balloons were out of service because of the strong wind on the day we went. Alas, I didn’t ride the camel yesterday, and I didn’t experience the hot air balloon today. I was a little disappointed...

The time and angle for viewing the Danxia landform have a great influence on the visual effect. Generally speaking, the colors are particularly brilliant at sunrise and sunset on a sunny day. Our day was not a clear sky, but it was a sunny day with a little strong wind. Then, there were so many people at the No. 4 viewing platform (I don’t remember clearly, it seemed to be No. 4) where the sunset was most beautiful that even the higher positions were closed, so we just took pictures nearby and went down the mountain.

Danxia Town is mostly private B&Bs and inns. It is convenient to go to Danxia Scenic Area if you stay here, because it is right next to the scenic area. If you live in Zhangye City, it is still a long way away. The ticket for the scenic area is valid for two days. If you live nearby and have plenty of time, it is also a good choice to go for a two-day stroll.

Most of the B&Bs are small single-family villas, but there are more restaurants on the main streets, which are also quite noisy. You can find restaurants here for meals. If you want to stay overnight, you can walk a little to other streets to find a quieter B&B.

There are four viewing platforms in the scenic area, which means four stations. The driver will remind you to get off at each station. After visiting one station, you can go back to the get-off point and wait for the bus to go to the second station.

I think it's super beautiful~ And the No. 1 viewing platform is relatively the least crowded, and it feels like being alone~ It's great! The No. 2 viewing platform is very suitable for taking panoramic photos~ It's very large and the scenery from each angle is different~ It's super beautiful~ It feels very magical! Nature is so magical!

If you go around sunset, in early September, be sure to bring a coat~!! It's really cold!

The No. 4 viewing platform offers paragliding and other entertainment activities. I think it is worth a try! Although I didn't go to play it, hahaha. In fact, I regret it a little! I should go to play it. Looking down from the sky, the Danxia landform should be super beautiful. I look forward to playing it next time~

You can enter the Colorful Danxia scenic area twice. After watching the sunset on the first day, you can register at the scenic area and come back to watch the sunrise the next morning.

I recommend all 4 observation decks because the views are different and I think they are all beautiful! If you have enough time, go and see them all! However, if time is limited, Observation Deck No. 4 > Observation Deck No. 2 > Observation Deck No. 1 > Observation Deck No. 3, choose according to this relationship~

The best time to visit the Colorful Danxia is in the afternoon. The morning is not as beautiful as in the afternoon because of the backlight. The best time to see the Colorful Danxia is when the sky clears after the rain, and the colors become more vivid and bright after the rain. But the clear sky after the rain is hard to come by, so a sunny day will also work.

The ticket is valid for two days, and you only need to buy a bus ticket when you enter the next day. If you want to go back the next day, tell the ticket seller when you buy the ticket, and she will stamp it for the next day, otherwise you will have to buy a new ticket the next day.

No matter which gate you enter from, the bus will stop at four viewing stations without stopping halfway. The difference is the order of the visit. The shuttle buses all go in a counterclockwise circle. During the visit, you can take any bus from any gate, but at stop 4, you can no longer take any bus after the visit. You have to find the bus to the east, west, or north gate. If you take the wrong bus or the wrong gate, you have to find a way to get back.

Observation Deck No. 2 is the highest one. The wooden plank road goes up the hillside to the top of the hill. But for some reason, this attraction is closed today and people are not allowed to go up. We climbed to the observation deck on the top of the hill and looked around. The view was suddenly widened. A hill stood in front of us like a red barrier. This is the colorful screen. On the colorful screen, red, yellow, black and white strips and bands of different colors are separated and born from each other. With the green grass on the top and foot of the hill, it is so beautiful that it is hard to believe. I always think it is painted.

From the No. 1 viewing platform, you can see the red hills above the colorful screen. The middle part is a uniform slope without any protruding rocks. It seems to be covered with a thick layer of fine sand. From a distance, it looks like a large desert. The shape of the colorful tower is like the skirt of a minority girl, which is very beautiful.

The No. 5 viewing platform shows part of the mountain below the colorful screen. The No. 1 viewing platform is mainly for distant viewing, reflecting the spectacular momentum of the colorful hills, while here is a partial landscape with bright colors and full of spirituality. The Danxia is dyed into pieces of dark brown, red and light yellow, forming a colorful picture against the blue sky and white clouds.

Observation Deck No. 4 is located on an east-west ridge. Climbing up the ridge and looking south, the colorful mountains on the east side present a mottled scene under the sunlight.

The most shocking thing about this Danxia is its colors: a layer of yellow, a layer of fiery red and a layer of light khaki. The distinct layers, tortuous lines and continuous ups and downs bring you endless surprises, just like God's overturned palette.

Colorful Danxia is Zhangye's flagship product. This Danxia landform is completely different from the Danxia landform in the south, and it is also different from the Zhuoer Mountain in Qinghai. How can I describe this place? What you see with your naked eyes is not as good as the photos taken, and the photos taken are not as good as the photos taken later. You probably understand, but it is still worth going.

"A visual feast spanning billions of years" is really an exaggeration. It is worth mentioning that Qicai Danxia is still an AAAA-level scenic spot. I find it incredible that it has not reached the 5A level. If this cannot become AAAAA, then Jiayuguan Pass is too much, haha.

Aerial photography is prohibited because there are paid activities such as helicopters and hot air balloons here.

After entering the scenic area, take the shuttle bus and arrive at viewing platforms 1, 2, 4, and 5. We entered the scenic area from the west gate, and the tour order became 1, 5, 4, and 2. If you want to say which one is the most beautiful, I think it should be No. 4. So you can enter from the east gate or the north gate, so No. 4 will be the last viewing platform. Standing here to watch the sunset may be a good enjoyment.

Zhangye Danxia landform was formed 6 million years ago and is the only complex area of Danxia landform and colorful hilly landscape in China.

The saying “One glance at the colorful Danxia makes the world colorless” is not an exaggeration.

There are 4 viewing points in the scenic area, and there are scenic bus shuttles between each viewing point. Tourists are not allowed to enter on their own. The viewing points are generally at high places. After getting off the bus, you will walk on a wooden plank road. The upward and downward directions of the wooden plank road are clearly separated, which also ensures the safety of tourists. It has to be said that the scenic spots in Gansu are well-designed and the protection of the natural environment is also in place.

Recommended, super beautiful, the ticket can be used for two days, it is valid only after recording fingerprints, and it is valid before 8 o'clock the next day. There are four scenic spots in the Colorful Danxia, the best ones are 4, 3, 2, and 1, but the shuttle bus stops at No. 1, 2, 3, and 4, and you cannot get on the bus counterclockwise, so if you want to see No. 1, get off at No. 1, otherwise you can't go back to No. 1 after going to No. 2. The park is quite large and the tickets are not expensive. Stay at the hotel at the entrance of the scenic area and watch the sunrise early the next day.

If you want to watch the sunrise early the next morning, as long as you record your fingerprints before leaving the park that day, you can still enter for free with the previous day's ticket before 8 am the next day, and then pay some money for the sightseeing bus.

There are 6 observation decks in total. There are unified sightseeing buses in the scenic area. Zhangye Danxia Geopark is located at the northern foot of Qilian Mountain. It is one of the areas with the largest and best developed Danxia landforms and the richest landforms in China. It is the only composite area of Danxia landforms and colorful hilly landscapes in China. The landform wonders were formed 6 million years ago. The local ethnic minorities call this peculiar mountain scenery "Alanlagada" (meaning red mountain). In November 2005, it was selected as one of the "Seven Most Beautiful Danxias in China" in the "Most Beautiful Places in China" selection activity jointly organized by China National Geographic Magazine and 34 media outlets across the country. In 2015, it was selected as one of the 25 dream travel destinations in the world by many well-known websites across the country.

Four or five in the afternoon is the best time to go and see the colorful Danxia landform. However, the wind and sand were too strong that day, and visibility was very low. You couldn't even see the houses in the distance, let alone buy tickets to see the Danxia landform. I guess there would be haze inside.

There is not much sunshine in the morning, and it is very hot at noon. In the scenic area, you take a bus to get on and off, and the scenic spots are picked up one by one. After seeing Danxia and having lunch, it is time to return.

As soon as I got off the bus, I changed into a red dress and headed straight for Danxia. There should be a direct bus from the city. It was really beautiful. I had to be impressed by the uncanny workmanship of nature. Its colorful colors brought me a visual impact that cannot be fully expressed in photos. I think if there were hot air balloons here, it would feel like a little Turkey.

If you drive there, you can stay inside until you see the sunset, which is usually around 7 or 8 o'clock. Just imagine the sunset and you will feel it is beautiful, but unfortunately the weather is not good.

The feeling that the colorful Danxia brought to me can definitely be described as "shocking". It was God who overturned the palette on this magical land of the northwest. The spectacular scenery and the extremely good weather left an ultimate visual experience. I ranked this attraction No. 1 on the Northwest Grand Loop. There are 4 viewing platforms in the scenic area. It rained all night when I returned to Zhangye, and the sky was full of dark clouds the next morning. If I rushed over at this time, it would definitely lack color.

It's OK, but don't get off the bus to see the first few attractions. You must take the shuttle bus directly to the last stop to get off. That's the most beautiful attraction you see in the advertisement. It was cloudy after a light rain, so the photos I took had no layers.

The Colorful Danxia is the business card of Zhangye. To enter the scenic area, you need to take the scenic bus. The bus shuttles between various scenic spots, which is very convenient. Zhangye Danxia landform is located in Linze, 40 kilometers away from Zhangye City. The hilly area at the northern foot of Qilian Mountain with an area of 100 square kilometers is centered on Baiyin Township, Sunan Yugur Autonomous County. The altitude is between 2,000 and 3,800 meters, about 40 kilometers long from east to west and about 5 to 10 kilometers wide from north to south. Thousands of cliffs and mountains are all bright red and reddish brown, which set off each other and show the wonderful style of Danxia landform, which is "as colorful as red and as bright as the clouds". The unique shape, colorful and majestic momentum have carved the Qilian Mountain into strange peaks, steep mountains and colorful mountains. Zhangye Danxia National Geopark, ticket price is 74 yuan per person, including sightseeing bus. There are three gates in the scenic area, North Gate, West Gate and East Gate. With the different angles of the sun, it will also show different colors. You can also see hot air balloons and paragliders from here. If you want to watch the sunrise, the ticket can be used the next day, but the sightseeing bus needs to be bought again, 20 yuan per person.

At 6 o'clock in the morning, I went to the ticket office in the dark to line up, and entered the park at 6:30. I went to the No. 1 viewing platform to wait for the sunrise. It was pitch black until the sunrise. The thick clouds blocked the sun, and the dark mountains in front of me gradually became colorful, but it was like a layer of soil. Then I went to the No. 4 viewing platform, and my eyes were bright, the colors were bright, and the contrast was very clear, it really looked like a painting.

Tips: If it is cloudy, don’t stay at Platform 1 for too long, save time for the scenery behind.

Zhangye Colorful Danxia is very famous. However, if you want to see the beautiful scenery, the weather is more important. It is better to go on a sunny day after rain. The weather was average when we went there, and it didn’t feel as beautiful as we imagined.

The best time to enter the scenic spot in summer is between 17:00-18:00 in the evening. The sunset will be around 20:00-20:30 in the evening. 2. There are four scenic spots in total. You need to take a bus in the scenic spot. You can also take three stops in the scenic spot. Those on the north line will always take the north line. 3. You should allocate time and physical strength well. Don't delay too long in the first scenic spot on the north line. The next three are more beautiful. The second and fourth are more physically demanding. Each scenic spot is different and worth seeing. 4. Don't take a hot air balloon. There is no value in going straight up and down. Hot air balloons and gliders are open depending on the weather. They are at the fourth scenic spot on the north line, which is the first on the west line. If you want to take a ride, you have to enter from the west line. Otherwise, you can't play. 5. The most shocking spot on the north line is the fourth scenic spot. The most beautiful Danxia landform is the sunset (or after the rain). The second and third scenic spots are the best places to watch the sunset, and you can wait until the sunset. But if you watch the sunset and then rush to the fourth scenic spot, it will be dark. 6. We felt a little regretful when we saw the fire clouds in the distance after watching the fourth scenic spot. But you can't have your cake and eat it too. 7. It is recommended to take a look at the west line or research the bee friends to take the bus multiple times, skip the station and sit, see the four scenic spots, and finally stay at the second scenic spot to wait for the sunset, and then take the bus directly to the exit.

The Danxia in Zhangye should be the most famous among all the Danxia landforms in my country. The special thing here is the combination of Danxia landform and colorful hilly landscape, and the color is particularly beautiful. Let's review the geographical knowledge. Among the four scenic spots on the ordinary route, the Rainbow Xia Terrace is the most beautiful, but it also has the most people at sunset. There are super beautiful colorful Danxia landforms inside, and the Mazi Noodle House built by Zhang Yimou for the filming of the Legend of the Three Shots. There are more activities in the scenic area than expected, including camel riding, hot air balloons, gliders and helicopters.

The day from Dunhuang to Zhangye was definitely the most tiring day of our trip. We took the K9669 train, which departed at 18:46 and arrived in Zhangye at 2:08 in the morning of the next day. The time was really tight. Fortunately, when Sister Cong was in Jiayuguan, she met a couple who were traveling from Beijing. They gave us the phone number of the owner of the hotel where they were staying in Zhangye. After we contacted the owner, he promised to pick us up at around 2:00 in the morning. I set an alarm to wake up at 1:30, but the train was late. We didn't arrive at the train station until around 2:20. When we got there, we found that the boss's grandfather had been waiting in the parking garage for a long time. It took us less than an hour to drive to the small hotel next to Zhangye Danxia National Geopark. After checking in in a hurry, we all fell asleep.



I didn't expect to hear a knock on the door after sleeping for less than 2 hours. The energetic Cong sister was already outside the door asking us to get up early to watch the sunrise. Although I was very reluctant, the temptation of watching the sunrise at Danxia was still very great for me. Although my wife was also sleepy and couldn't get up, she reluctantly got up after my persuasion and went to Danxia to watch the sunrise with us.



We didn't expect that there were more than four of us who got up early in the morning. When we entered the best sunrise observation platform in the scenic area, we found that there were already quite a few people around. Everyone was very interested in traveling, and there were people taking photos with their cameras all the way. When the sun just showed its tip, then a little bit of light, then a small disk, and finally a big disk, we were all very excited.

Today's weather is also very good. God probably saw how hard we worked and didn't make things difficult for us. The most beautiful side of Danxia is perfectly displayed. It really fits the poem: "Looking from the side, it is a mountain, and from the side, it is a peak. It is different from far and near, high and low."

The ticket for Zhangye Danxia National Park is valid for two days. You can record your fingerprints again at the exit of the scenic area and enter the next day. I personally think that you must go in early and late to play. Only the light conditions in the morning and evening can allow you to see its most beautiful side.

Zhangye Danxia National Park has a car pick-up throughout the trip, with a total of 4 points, and you can also take a hot air balloon and paraglider, which is particularly beautiful from the air. You can also get up early the next day to watch the sunrise, one ticket is enough, but the ticket 20 needs to be bought again. Perhaps the only regret is that the staff was late, and the sun was out when I entered. The real-name system means that all the good-looking pictures are photoshopped, and ordinary photos are really average. Drones are not allowed to fly, and security guards will stop them, after all, they have to protect the geology.

It was my first time to visit the Colorful Danxia. I had always wanted to go there because I had seen beautiful photos of it. After I got there, I found it was quite good, indeed very shocking. Although the photos still need to be edited, it was worth it.

At sunrise; 3. At sunset. Only then can you see the colorful Danxia!

Although I have seen Danxia Mountain in our Guangdong Province, when I saw that this Danxia is colorful in the picture, I decided to go and see it to broaden my horizons. There was also a girl from Germany who shared the car with us. When he got off the sightseeing car, the first thing he saw was amazing. Instantly, there was a sense of pride, thinking that this might be the only place in the world with such beautiful scenery, which attracted many foreigners to come and see. We kept waiting inside, waiting to see the sunset, but because the weather was not good, there were many dark clouds in the sky that day, so in the end we didn’t see a very beautiful sunset. When we left, the German girl even recorded her fingerprints and said she would come to see it again the next day. At night, the wind was still very strong and very cold. I was shivering with cold. I bought a sweet potato at the fourth viewing platform of the last attraction, but it was not delicious at all and cost me 10 yuan.

The colorful Danxia is so beautiful~ a unique landform, it looks better when the sun is out on a sunny day. The transportation is not very convenient, the shuttle bus is closed and you can't watch the sunset, and it's too expensive to charter a car.
