Guangdong Grand Canyon is located in Dabu Town, Ruyuan Yao Autonomous Prefecture, Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province, 70 kilometers away from the Ruyuan exit of Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway. The canyon is 15 kilometers long and more than 300 meters deep, and is made of quartz sandstone. The original location of the Grand Canyon was just a small basin in the ravine. The ticket price is 68 yuan (60 yuan + 5 yuan high-altitude acrobatic performance + 3 yuan insurance/person), the parking fee is 5 yuan, and the opening hours are 8:00-17:00. Public transportation to the scenic spot is inconvenient, and self-driving people should also pay attention to the 70-kilometer national and provincial road from the Yingde exit of Leguang Expressway to the Grand Canyon or the 65-kilometer national and provincial road from the Ruyuan exit of Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway. There are many bends and villages, and there are many vehicles on some sections of the road. Drive carefully and be careful to overtake. Without my Nanling National Forest Park, I chose to travel by car to Dabu Town. It was a long and steep journey. The road from Tianjing Mountain Xianren Bridge to Dabu Town was very bad, the road signs were not very clear, and Gaode Navigation also confused me.

The location is a bit remote, but overall the scenery is beautiful and there are not many tourists.

It is very suitable for friends who have a little physical strength. There are many waterfalls at the bottom of the valley and the natural scenery is very good. Near the thin sky, the water is clear and it is also fun to climb the stones by the pond.

There was no sightseeing elevator. I climbed to the bottom of the valley with my daughter in my arms and then climbed up again. My legs were broken...

The waterfall is artificially controlled. There were few people when I went there last time, so the gates were not opened and the water volume was too small. There are three ways to enter the canyon. There are five aerial performances every day, each lasting about 15 minutes, and the venue is at the square at the entrance of the valley.

Today I completed the entire trek through the Guangdong Grand Canyon, and my legs are still shaking. There are several NPC supply stations along the way. Take bus No. 22 at Shaoguan Station and get off at Xihe Bus Station. Buy a ticket and take a bus to Ruyuan Bus Station (the last stop). Then buy a ticket and take a bus to Grand Canyon. Please note that not every bus will go to the entrance of Grand Canyon. Most buses only go to Dabu Town. You need to transfer to Grand Canyon. Please ask clearly. In my opinion, Ruyuan Grand Canyon is definitely the best in Guangdong. The vertical drop is more than 300 meters, and it is all rock, just like a disconnected canyon. It is relatively rare in Guangdong, at least as far as I have seen as a Cantonese living in Guangdong for more than 30 years. In general, the air is fresh and it is a good place for children to play in the water!

The special thing about the Grand Canyon is that you will see a lot of clear springs along the way. The water splashes from the waterfalls and makes you feel cool. You really want to jump in and swim! Of course, reason tells me not to... If you don't take pictures along the way, it can actually be completed in three and a half hours. But I still spent half an hour taking some photos in a hurry. After all, I didn't want to miss the moment of watching the sunset at the best viewing point~

The stone stairs on the road are really steep, so be careful and don't be in a hurry!

Also, remember to bring enough water, otherwise you will die of thirst!

Parking fee is 10 yuan on holidays and 5 yuan on weekdays. Tickets are 52 yuan/ticket for online booking in advance and 68 yuan/ticket for on-site purchase. There are four time points for tightrope walking performances, namely 10:30 in the morning, 1:00 in the afternoon, and two time periods that I forgot. The better viewing positions are at Guyin Square and Qianli Corridor. When we went there, we were just below the valley bottom of the Tongtian Ladder during the tightrope performance. It was small and unclear when we looked up. I personally think that the essence of the Grand Canyon tour is the section from the sky to the power station. The water after the power station feels turbid and unclear. It is not enjoyable. Moreover, the Tongtian Ladder is too steep and narrow, so it is not recommended to walk from this side. It is recommended that the tour route go from the ecological walking viewing path to the sky, Taohuatan, and after passing the power station, return from Huangtengtan and the No. 1 and No. 2 viewing pavilions.

The mountain feels a bit like a small Zhangjiajie. Generally speaking, it is my favorite place with Nanling. I have a special feeling for Ruyuan! The water is very clear, clearer than Nanling, but Nanling is quieter and more ghostly, like a place where immortals live. The Grand Canyon is like a bowl, and the largest Longteng Waterfall is like a spoon in the bowl. The 60 yuan ticket is cost-effective, but it is a bit poorly managed and the road signs are unknown.

We started from Qingtang, Yingde, and the whole journey was 131 kilometers. We had 3 cars and more than 10 people, from 6-year-old children to elderly people in their 50s. It was really physically demanding, and the children almost couldn't hold on, but they finally made it and had a lot of fun. It is recommended to walk down the ladder to the sky, because if you go up the ladder, there is no platform in the middle, and it is difficult to rest well. The high-altitude performance was wonderful, and they were not afraid at all. It took about 4 hours to enter the park. There were not many people, the parking lot was large, and the car park was 10 yuan per car on holidays and 5 yuan per car on non-holidays. The consumption was also very conscientious. I went to the hot springs near Yingde city at night after returning, which was really refreshing

It's a pity that it was too fast and we didn't catch up with the high-altitude wire show (I guess there would be no show under such conditions). The scenery is still very beautiful. The canyon is quite shocking from the ground, but the waterfall water of Tenglongtan is a little small, and the water in the pond is not as clear and clean as that of Taohuatan. There is still some garbage in the scenic area, the quality of tourists is not very high, and there is a certain risk for the staff to clean it up. Finally, I have to say that it is fortunately daytime, and it is still a bit scary to have so few people at night!

I drove to Yingde first, visited Yingxi Fenglin Dongtian Wonderland, and then headed to the Grand Canyon. Along the way, I passed Yingxi Fenglin Scenic Spot, and there were beautiful scenery all the way. The mountain road has 18 bends, and the scenery along the way is very good. It took about 1.5 hours to drive from Jiulong Town, Yingde to the Grand Canyon. Fortunately, there were not many cars on the road, and the road was smooth. I opened the car window to breathe in the mountain air. When I was about to drive to the Grand Canyon, I looked around and saw that the clouds and mountains were mixed together, which was very beautiful. If you drive by yourself, it is recommended to drive down the mountain before 5 o'clock, otherwise you will be very careful when the mountain road has 18 bends after dark. The local rice rolls and chicken are delicious! The rice rolls are the best I have ever eaten!

It's worth a visit. I went there in 2014. There were so many people that I couldn't get in before the entrance of the scenic area. I had to park far away and was charged a parking fee by a private person. Then I took a motorcycle to the scenic area. The Grand Canyon is quite spectacular, but the waterfall is relatively small. There are some pools in it where you can play in the water, and the ladder to heaven is also interesting. There are aerial performances in the Grand Canyon.

This place is still OK. It has not been fully developed yet. It has an original ecology. From the perspective of exercise, it is suitable for a day of play, but it is not too tiring. However, the infrastructure construction is probably not as good as Lingnan Forest Park, because there are only two toilets on the way. There is no place to replenish supplies. The only place is a platform on the top of the sky, where you can buy some. The whole scenic area is still good and worth a visit. I will go again.

The transportation is a little inconvenient, but everything else is fine. The mountain road is too winding. First, go from Guangzhou Station to Shaoguan East Station, then take bus No. 3 from East Station to Xikehe Station, and buy a ticket to Ruyuan at Xihe Bus Station. The minibus fare is 10 yuan, and it takes 1 hour. Then go to Ruyuan Bus Station, and buy a ticket to Dabu Bus Station, the ticket is 18 yuan. It takes a little more than 2 hours. When I arrived at Dabu Town, it was still 3 kilometers away from the Grand Canyon. I chose to walk there because there were not many cars in the town. It took about 40 minutes to walk. It is about 200 kilometers from Guangzhou by car. We arrived at noon, hiked along the steps in the afternoon, and stayed in the wooden house of Ligong Orchard Resort Hotel in the scenic area that night. It was tiring but refreshing! It is suitable for summer heat relief.

As a developed tourist attraction, the facilities are not very good. For example, as soon as you enter the door, you can't help but see a lot of colorful cartoon chicken sculptures, which is very inconsistent. Then some direction signs have been posted, which is very speechless. It is basically stone steps, steep and with many turns, which is very tiring. Until the ladder, I thought it was just a bad tourist attraction. The desperate ladder made me feel like hiking. The scenery is also super beautiful! In short, I am still very satisfied! It is really uncomfortable to take a bus on the winding mountain road😭

The overall feeling is so-so. Maybe I had too high expectations at the beginning, but after seeing it, I felt it was just so-so. The sanitary environment in the scenic area is not very good, the water is very dirty, but the waterfall feels okay!

The scenery is nice. If you are physically fit, it is best to go through the entire route. It is too boring to walk through the ladder.

It was cloudy when I went there. If you are hiking, I recommend the full route and don't forget to wear hiking gloves! ! ! There are steps two feet high, many of which are more than 60 degrees. Be careful of slippery roads!

It's fun and worth going. It is recommended to start from Yingde, take Provincial Road 347, pass County Road 380, and then take Provincial Road 258. The road condition is good and the whole road is cemented. The resort at the scenic spot is highly recommended. My wife and I took the first one (complete crossing route) on the scenic spot guide map, which took 6 hours. If you don't take the complete route, then (the first, second viewing platform and the best viewing platform) a total of 3 must not be missed. There are snacks in the scenic area at a reasonable price, self-service beverage vending machines, WeChat and Alipay can pay, and the price is generally considered an economical journey

In Shaoguan, the Grand Canyon is really worth visiting, but it would be more convenient to drive by yourself because the mountain road is rugged and few tourist buses will enter it. It would be worth the trip if you saw the Hukou Waterfall there.

I have to say that the Grand Canyon is a good place to exercise your legs. There are no street lights in the canyon, it is pitch black, it's scary to think about it.

The scenery in the canyon is nice, with gurgling mountain springs, lovely small waterfalls, and clear green pools. Outside the gate of the canyon scenic area is a very distinctive hotel, a lakeside cottage style, 680 yuan per room during the National Day, and only 130 to 180 yuan on ordinary days.

Walking through the Ruyuan Grand Canyon requires physical strength. You must get a good rest before going, and bring some dry food. The location is far from the urban area of Ruyuan, and there are not many buses from the bus station to the Grand Canyon. There are usually buses at 7:30, 9:30, and 11 o'clock in the morning. We drove there by ourselves, and it took us an hour and a half.

It is said that in the early morning or after the rain, there will be clouds and mist rising from the bottom of the valley, and then gradually drifting upwards, in that clear space, there are wisps of wonderland hidden. 2 The water that flows down from the narrow gap to the bottom of the valley is mountain stream water, the water quality is very good and can be drunk directly, but the water quality on the waterfall side is very average and you can only look at it but not play in it. It is the open channel water that flows through the villages in Dabu Town, that is, the water in the fish pond in front of the Ligong Hotel is used for power generation.

3 When passing by the power station, you must not take the ladder to the sky. Instead, go up to the platform of the power station and go to the right to the big waterfall (many people don’t know how to get to the big waterfall and go down the ladder to the sky. It’s a waste of time.) After that, climb the stairs from the waterfall. There are multiple rest platforms at the exit. It doesn’t feel so scary and the body can handle it. The scenery along the way can only be experienced by feeling it.

4 The road between the valley bottom and the mountainside is very narrow. Don't go there on rainy days. It's very slippery. The scenic area management office didn't do a lot of details well. For example, in some places where water flows, it is obvious that a small ditch can be padded with cement to divert the water from the rocks so that you won't get soaked.

The gatehouse of Guangdong Grand Canyon is a bit shabby compared to the famous attractions in China. Although there are not many routes inside, it is still necessary to take a map. You can get it at the hotel front desk. Tenglong Waterfall

The water rushes out from the mountain stream and rushes thousands of miles. It may be more spectacular during the flood season.

Guangdong Grand Canyon Ligong Orchard Resort Hotel. Located in the scenic area of the Grand Canyon. 95 points for environment, 30 points for catering. This is the evaluation. Guangdong Grand Canyon is a combination of strangeness, danger and steepness. There are ravines and gullies in the valley, long waterfalls, cool and deep valley bottom, misty water, and the magnificent Tenglong Waterfall is amazing. It is completely natural, ingenious, and without any artificiality.

It takes 3.5 hours from Guangzhou to Ruyuan Grand Canyon. The road condition is OK. There is not much development. There are only a few shops at the entrance and a small shop on the way. There are not many commercial activities except for the locals who come from time to time to buy drinks and jelly. The ecology is very well preserved. If you come here for vacation and parent-child activities, it is not suitable, but it is a very good choice for hiking. It is very unique. The waterfall group is 15 kilometers long, the water is clear and green, and there are surprises all the way. You will lose your virginity when you pass the big waterfall, and the scene is very spectacular. In short, I will definitely come again if I have the chance.

Guangdong Grand Canyon has four routes to visit, all by walking, and it takes at least 4 hours to fully tour it. If you only have one afternoon like me, you can visit three spots and experience the essence of the Grand Canyon from three angles. Transportation. Inconvenient! Extremely!!! Recommended self-driving tour. Shaoguan to Ruyuan Bus Station is 11 yuan per person. The journey takes about an hour. The arrival time is more than 9 o'clock. However, the ticket from Ruyuan Bus Station to the Grand Canyon is sold until 11:54. The fare is 18. But the time is not feasible for us. There are many drivers and taxis at the gate. The prices are different. You can share a car. But it is worth reminding that the mountain road to the Grand Canyon is winding. It is not safe to drive two or three motorcycles. Self-driving tours also require experienced drivers to be more appropriate. Friends who are carsick should remember to prepare motion sickness medicine. It is very necessary! We took a private car. It was a simple and honest uncle. It was 300 for three people. I personally think it is acceptable. On the way back, the uncle said that he felt that we got along well with him. It was very cheap to take us back to Shaoguan Medical College for 80 yuan.

Tickets. Students should remember to bring their student ID cards. The student ticket is 35 yuan, which is quite cheap, but it is a bit more of a waste of money on the bus fare.
