Nanfeng Ancient Kiln was first built in 1506. It has a history of more than 500 years of pottery making and is known as the "living fossil of ceramics".
It consists of three parts: Nanfeng Ancient Stove, Ceramic Sculpture Park and Green Boat Peacock Garden. The park has ancient huts, Shiwan Ceramics Museum, Doll Street, Dagang Waterfall and other landscapes.
The most famous of these is a dragon kiln built during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty. It has been burning continuously for 500 years and is well preserved. It is the oldest dragon kiln in continuous use in the world.
Covering a vast area, it integrates tourism, sightseeing, production, art training and shopping. It is a well-known tourist and leisure area in Foshan City.

Nanfeng Zao was built during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of nearly 500 years.
Nanfeng Ancient Kiln is the oldest wood-fired dragon kiln still in use in the world.
What is a dragon kiln?
The name of the dragon kiln comes from the kiln, which was built against the mountain. Its body is 234.4 meters long and its inner length is 30.87 meters. It looks like a dragon descending upon the people, so the local people call it the dragon kiln.
Visit the Nanfeng Ancient Kiln under the guidance of a local tyrant in Chancheng, Foshan.
There are not many people, the scenery is good, and it is very suitable for a leisure tour. As soon as you enter the door, you can see the ancient kiln and two dragon stoves built along the hill, from the Ming Dynasty to the present. Although the scenic spot is small, it has everything and is very clean. I especially like the bathroom, which is the cleanest among the scenic spots I have visited.
There are many ceramic art shops, which are very suitable for shopping. Many of them are very creative and can't be seen elsewhere (Jack Ma's God of Wealth). Small things can be bought directly in the scenic area, remember to bargain. For large items, you can go to the ceramic street outside, where there are many choices.
It is very convenient to drive there. There is a Shanshui tofu pudding restaurant near the side door. It is delicious and uses brown sugar water.
It takes about two hours to have a good walk. The nearby Shiwan Park is also very nice and suitable for relaxing.
It is a place worth taking photos inside. Although the ancient stove can be seen in a few minutes, the small shop transformed from the old village behind is very freshly decorated. It feels great to wear Hanfu to take photos. There is a shop where you can rent clothes. It is very cute to see a few little girls wearing Hanfu. I accidentally found a very small coffee shop. The hand-brewed coffee is only 18 yuan. There is a clay pulling performance every half an hour in the porcelain exhibition hall on one side of the gate. Of course, the clay pulling only takes 5 minutes. There are also acrobatic clowns and other performances before and after, which are very popular among children.
I visited the place on my own before it was renovated. In the early 2000s, there was no entrance fee. Later, it was renovated and I went there two or three times. At that time, there was an entrance fee, but the place had been updated and preserved, and there was also a museum exhibition hall, which was pretty good. If you haven't been to Shiwan, you should go and check it out.
Actually, to be honest, as a member of Foshan, I go to Nanfeng Ancient Kiln a lot. I go there once or twice in every growth stage. From not charging admission to now charging admission, the environment inside has been changed again and again, and it has been added again and again, and finally it has taken shape. I haven't been there for a long time, so I took the opportunity to see the ceramic exhibition and came to Nanfeng Ancient Kiln again. The most important thing is actually shown in the pictures, so there is no need to say more. (There have been special introductions on TV)
Later, because photography was not allowed at the museum's ceramic exhibition, although many people still ignored the sign and took photos, they noticed that the artworks in this exhibition had some new elements and that some of the ceramic figures or Buddhas were well made, but they still didn't take photos.
The pictures in the picture have shown us the specific process of making ceramics, and they are also very vivid. The key is whether you have seen them or not. Some pictures are also very interesting.
It is a brick kiln where porcelain was fired in the past. I don't understand why they charge a fee. It has a strong commercial atmosphere!
The scenery is barely worth the ticket price, it's not that fun!
There are not many historical sites, but the scenic area is quite large. Now it is almost all small art shops selling things. It feels quite nice to go shopping. It depends on personal preference.
It's unique, you can have a look. I bought a package ticket for the Ancestral Temple. One afternoon of the Ancestral Temple and Nanfeng Ancient Kiln was enough for me (I couldn't feel the literary atmosphere)~
One of the ten scenic spots in Foshan, you must come to Foshan, it is worth a visit
You must walk slowly when you come here. If you have time, you can visit more times. When you feel familiar, you will always find something new. I like the meow at the door.
I am not very interested in ceramic firing, but if you have time, it should be a good experience to come and visit and make ceramics. Even on weekends, the flow of people in the scenic area is not too much, you can relax and there won't be too much noise. There are many ancient buildings in it, which are suitable for taking beautiful photos as the background.
There are Nanfeng Zao and Gao Zao with a history of 500 years in the scenic area. One can imagine how thousands of kiln masters have been firing kilns here day and night for hundreds of years, passing down the Shiwan ceramic craft.
It's very good. As soon as you enter the door and turn left, you can see a lot of ceramics. The transportation is also very convenient.
The entire Nanfeng Ancient Kiln is actually very small, and two hours is more than enough to walk around and see it all. You can come back at three or four in the afternoon.
Price: 25 yuan for adults. Very retro and artistic, suitable for taking photos
A large area sells porcelain. The scenic area is on the other side. It is quite antique, but a little small. The advantage is that there are few tourists and it is quiet and comfortable.
It is really an ancient stove, with traditional production and simple craftsmanship. It is also small and beautiful.
The scenery is pleasant, very ancient, and the ceramics are also good
Location: The location is not difficult to find. I took bus No. G9 directly to the place.
You can also take the subway to Zu Miao and transfer to the bus.
Price: 25 yuan for an adult ticket is not particularly expensive, but it should be cheaper. There is not much content inside. There were a lot of people that day and I waited in line for more than ten or twenty minutes to buy tickets.
environment:
The environment is as shown in the picture. The photos I took with my SLR have been photoshopped. The sky was not particularly blue that day. The buildings and decorations inside are very retro, artistic and interesting. It is not easy to take photos because there are so many people. There are a few buildings behind the buildings that are a bit inconsistent. Because there are too many children, I couldn't take good photos of pigeons because they were driven away by the children (laughs). Overall, it is not particularly cost-effective, but it is worth a visit
There are many direct buses in Foshan City. The scenic area is built around key cultural relics protection units such as Nanfeng Zao, Gao Zao, Gao Miao, and Linjia Hall. There are ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties and buildings with Lingnan characteristics. The original pottery-making workplaces of the ancient kilns are preserved, reflecting the profoundness of pottery culture.
Take the Guangfo Line to Tongji Road Station, turn right to the bus station after exiting Exit D, and take bus No. 137 to Nanfeng Ancient Kiln Station. The Nanfeng Ancient Kiln Scenic Area is very large, including the Ming and Qing ancient buildings, Gongzi Street, and Shiwan Park. Only the Ming and Qing ancient buildings are charged. After entering, you can get a map first. With the ticket, you can enter and exit as many times as you want within the day, which is very considerate for those who want to buy porcelain. The Ming and Qing ancient buildings are suitable for taking photos. If you want to buy porcelain, you should go to Gongzi Street. There are many choices and if you look carefully, you can still find a lot of high-quality and low-priced porcelain.
The first stop in Foshan is Nanfeng Ancient Kiln. You need to take a bus to get there. It was originally a place for making pottery. Now it has quaint buildings and some small relics left over for tourists to visit.
Before I went, I read the mixed reviews online. Some people liked it, while others thought it was not worth going, so I didn't have high expectations. Since I had plenty of time, I finally decided to go. The actual experience was quite good. It is also a place where pottery is produced. You can see some buildings, greenery, decorations, etc. inside the scenic spot. There is a shopping street at the entrance of the scenic spot, where you can see all kinds of creative ceramic products. It feels very similar to Yingge in Taipei. It is recommended to go when the weather is clear, sunny, and the temperature is suitable. If it is summer, forget it~
So-so
The food is average, the craftsmanship is average, and the attractions are also average.
The scenic area is quite large, my husband and I almost got lost 😂, the architecture is very unique, there are Jiujiang Shuangzheng, hydrangeas, some flowers that I don't know what they are, and some special ceramics. It's also nice to go to the doll street next to it, there are a lot of ceramics for sale. I bought a package ticket with the ancestral temple for 35 yuan, which is not expensive. . It's also good to go for a walk and take a look. It is recommended to prepare a mobile phone or camera, there are many places to take pictures. .
This is my first time writing a review, just for this place! I came here just because I saw the pictures online and thought it was just an ordinary old street because there are too many attractions like this now. However, I didn't expect that it was a beautiful place for taking pictures! And it doesn't have a strong commercial atmosphere, but it has an artistic atmosphere! Many people who create ceramics will buy some works by the way. When you enter the house, you can take pictures of their works at will, and no one will promote them. They just create by themselves, and there is no feeling of doing business at all. It feels very special and comfortable. Recommended for friends who like taking pictures and small handicrafts.
Because I saw two dragon kilns right at the entrance, I thought the scenic area was just that small, but I didn't expect there was a large area behind it where I could stroll around. There are many handicraft shops, teahouses, etc. I recommend it to friends who like petty bourgeoisie. The environment is quiet, with green leaves and blue bricks. The handicrafts are relatively expensive, and it is not recommended to eat in the scenic area.
Compared with Lingnan Tiandi, this place is too uncommercial. There are not many small shops, not many people, no restaurants, and low consumption. There are many places to take pictures, and the red brick wall and tile buildings are particularly impressive. I also found a small shop with very well designed ceramic sculptures here. The owner is a young man, and his sculptures are very good. It is said that he has won many awards. The works are very cute. I even bought two chickens from his shop, hehe. In addition, you can also experience making pottery at Nanfeng Ancient Kiln, which is very good.
It is a tourist area based on the ancient stove. The ticket is 25 yuan, and a wristband will be issued. Later I learned that the scenic area is semi-open, and you will walk out as you walk. I think you can also walk in for free through some stores.
The two parallel ancient stoves, Nanfeng stove and Gao stove, are under national protection. These two stoves have been used for hundreds of years and are still in use today, which is quite magical. However, there are too few introductions in the scenic area, and many of them are incomprehensible.
There is also an ancient village behind the stove, Linjia Hall, Gao Temple, etc. These are also quite interesting. The disadvantage is that the direction is unclear. There is a tree that I turned around several times but couldn't find it.
There are also many shops where children can come and play pottery making. The interaction is pretty good, and many ceramics are not expensive and can be taken back as souvenirs.
There is a Shiwan Ceramics Museum, which is difficult to walk to, but the content is great, don't miss it
This is my favorite place in my trip to Foshan. I bought my favorite vases and cups at the Doll Street at the back, but I still feel like I haven’t bought enough. I hope I can go there again if I have the chance.
Ceramic figurines can be seen everywhere~
The two connected ancient stoves have red carpets on the high steps because of the activities. Gaozao and Nanfeng Ancient Stove. Two chimneys, one square and one round, stand behind the ancient stoves, and there is a Yunyong Pavilion in the middle where you can climb up and look far.
The houses in the Nanfeng Ancient Kiln Scenic Area are all made of blue bricks or red bricks and tiles, typical Ming and Qing Dynasty buildings.
It's pretty good, it's worth the trip, there's an exhibition hall which is pretty good! Check out the guide 😜
It's quite small and suitable for strolling around and taking photos. It's next to Shiwan Park, so you can stop by and take a look.
Nanfeng Ancient Kiln Tourist Area is located in Shiwan, a famous southern pottery capital, integrating tourism, sightseeing, production, learning, discussion, participation and shopping. The scenic area has Nanfeng Ancient Kiln and Gao Kiln, known as the living fossils of ceramics. The kiln fire has been burning and production has not been interrupted for 500 years. It is rare in the world and has been included in the Guinness Book of World Records.
It's a nice place to stroll around, and it's very charming. It's more tasteful than Gulangyu Island in Xiamen. If you have time, you can go there to participate in pottery making. Shiwan pottery is really beautiful.
Nanfeng Ancient Kiln: Nanfeng Ancient Kiln Tourist Area is located in Shiwan, the famous southern pottery capital, integrating tourism, sightseeing, production, learning, discussion, participation and shopping. The scenic area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction built around key cultural relics protection units such as Nanfeng Kiln, Gaozao, Gaomiao, and Linjia Hall.
The Nanfeng Ancient Kiln Scenic Area brings together the essence of traditional crafts such as mountain miniature carving, ancient wheel throwing, beating large jars, and making straw sandals, as well as the essence of folk art such as lion dancing, martial arts, Cantonese opera, and paper cutting.
Tickets: 25 yuan (50% off for students, 20% off on holidays.)
Recommended tour time: 1.5-3 hours.
Transportation: Nanfeng Ancient Kiln is located in the southwest of Foshan city center, about four or five kilometers away from the Ancestral Temple. There are many buses passing by, so the location is not difficult to find.
Personal thoughts: Nanfeng Ancient Kiln is definitely a holy place for art and ancient culture lovers. Although many rooms in the scenic area have been turned into ceramic shops, the Tao Zushi Temple, the toilet waterfall and the ancient town style left over from the Ming and Qing dynasties in the nearby Shiwan Park are still well preserved, making it a great place for taking photos.
I spent 25 yuan on the ticket to enter the pit. I spent half an hour to walk around. I felt it was a waste so I walked around again. Later, when we walked out of a restaurant, no one cared about us. Could we enter here? No ticket required? There was really nothing to see. The ceramics inside were played with by children in the mud. The picture below shows the door we entered and exited at will. I wish you all good luck.
It's a nice place with a lot of cultural atmosphere. Friends who like ceramics can go and have a look. I took a few beautiful photos of white pigeons in there, but now I can't find them. . . . . . .
Nanfeng Ancient Kiln is the oldest and best-preserved wood-fired dragon kiln in the world. I like the scenery and Chinese culture, especially their ceramics and paper-cuts. Friends who have time can go and have a look.
The ticket is 25 yuan, the ceramic works inside are quite beautiful, the scenic area is very hygienic, and it is worth a visit. Unfortunately, some areas of the Ceramic Museum were not open when I went there.
Give me one whole day, and I'll give you one thousand years."
Nanfeng Ancient Kiln is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a national key cultural relic protection unit.
Tickets: The on-site ticket price is 25 yuan/ticket, and the group purchase price on Dianping is 18.5 yuan/ticket.
Comments: I originally planned to give up this attraction, but fortunately I didn't leave myself with regrets!!! This place really brings surprises. If you want to understand the long history of Shiwan pottery culture, you must come here. Not only can you understand the production process of pottery, but you can also participate in the production of pottery products.
The Nanfeng Ancient Kiln Scenic Area houses the Nanfeng Ancient Kiln and Gao Kiln, both nationally protected cultural relics known as living ceramic fossils. The kiln fires have been burning and production has continued for 500 years, which is rare in the world and has been included in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Nanfeng Ancient Kiln, this attraction is very ordinary. You can spend an hour to take a quick look at it, or you can choose not to go.
It takes about an hour and a half to get to the Nanfeng Ancient Kiln Ancestral Temple. Then go to the Ancestral Temple Bus Station and take the bus to the Nanfeng Ancient Kiln Station. The buses you can take are: 185c, 101, 137, 109, and Gui 26. When you get off the Nanfeng Ancient Kiln Station, the ancient Nanfeng Ancient Kiln is on your right. The attractions inside include (I think it is better to read some relevant information about the attractions you are going to before traveling, so that you won’t be confused like me)
Nanfeng Ancient Stove is located in downtown Foshan, surrounded by modern buildings. It is a quiet corner in the downtown. Although it is not my first time here, I always feel that there is something here to reminisce and stop by. However, in recent years, some specialty shops have opened inside, which is more commercialized. The circle on the hand in the picture is included with the ticket when you buy it. If you put it on your hand, you can enter the scenic area multiple times on the same day. Because there are many exits inside, you can accidentally walk out. The hand can be used as a ticket voucher. Tips: Take bus No. 137 or 109 and get off at Nanfeng Ancient Stove Station. Because it is in the city, the transportation is relatively convenient. The ticket is 25 yuan. Look, that raised orchid finger 🌸The working people are the most beautiful. I like this very much, but I didn’t take a good photo. This is in Nanfeng Ancient Stove. A wall displaying handmade pottery, each small square is a child's wonderful idea, look carefully, it is very interesting. A small classroom: Ancient Kiln Image, you can learn pottery here. Let's snuggle up to each other and watch the sunset... The "sunset" outside is really bright. In the misty rain, the dilapidated buildings, the vibrant green leaves of early spring, and the red lanterns with the atmosphere of the New Year are also a beautiful scene in this spring—————————Xiqiao Mountain————————Xiqiao Mountain, located in Gaoming District, Foshan, many people come here because of the Guanyin statue. As for me, I just come here to breathe some oxygen and take a walk... Yes, that's it.
The ticket to Nanfeng Ancient Stove is 25 yuan. I personally think it is a bit expensive. 15 yuan is about right. This scenic spot is not very big. Apart from the Shiwan Ceramic Museum, 40 minutes is enough for the rest of the area. The museum can be long or short, usually 30 minutes. I looked at the entire scenic spot in detail, and it took me a total of one hour and fifty minutes. Entering from the back door, I first saw the Tea Culture Street: Then I arrived at the ancient residential area, which is Qingyun Lane between two houses: Ancient, or the zipper is stuck. I secretly complained in my heart, thinking: Sister, can you come down to a cool place to take out your bag? Aren’t you afraid of getting tanned under the sun? I saw that she was just moving down little by little, and on my right, there was another lady with a child moving in this direction. Seeing that the lady and the child were getting closer and closer, I almost gave up. In the last few seconds, the lady who was taking out her bag finally left the frame. I quickly pressed the shutter and finally took two photos without anyone. The position I was standing in was a little to the left, not in the middle. If you stand in the middle, the lady with the child will be in the picture in advance. Sometimes it is really difficult to take a blank photo in a well-known popular scenic spot. Tourists have the right to walk freely, and I can only wait for luck to favor me. It turns out that the two kilns included in the national key cultural relics protection units are Gaozao and Nanfengzao: The relevant departments in Foshan generally use words such as "Nanfeng Ancient Kiln Scenic Area", which makes us only know that there is Nanfeng Ancient Kiln, but not Gaozao. When we arrived here, the truth was revealed. This pavilion is located above the two stoves. Looking west from the platform, there is a taller modern chimney in the distance: Below the pavilion is the ancient residential area just seen: There is also a small ceramic craft exhibition in the house below the pavilion: On the other side is Nanfeng Kiln: There are also ceramic products: The banyan tree in the picture above is called "Ancient Kiln God Banyan". The full view of Nanfeng Kiln: This stove is still burning: Close to the stove, you can clearly feel the heat wave. Go out from the door in the picture above and go right to reach Cross Lane. This is an antique shop area: The roots of the banyan tree: To the east of the cross alley is the Shiwan Ceramics Museum. Nanfeng Ancient Kiln is a famous pottery kiln in the Shiwan area. Therefore, relying on this scenic spot, the relevant parties built a Shiwan Ceramics Museum to systematically introduce the ceramics industry in the Shiwan area. This museum is relatively large and has two floors. Like most museums, it is free to enter. You only need to swipe your ID card on the machine at the door. There is no ticket. As shown in the picture above, only the left side of the two floors is open, and the right half is not open. It is even
Suitable for taking photos, with few people. It would be better if there is no ticket.

"Give me a whole day, and I'll give you a thousand years", the holy land of pottery culture. The essence of traditional crafts and art is simply the essence of "intangible cultural heritage". In Foshan Shiwan, it is known as the capital of pottery. I spent more than half a day to take a rough tour, which is really full of charm. Pottery exhibits, ancient pottery workshops, and Lingnan-style houses from the Ming and Qing dynasties are full of details for you to enjoy. There are also pottery shops outside the scenic area, which is a grand view garden of pottery crafts, full of dazzling things, and you can feast your eyes. Outside the scenic area is a bustling street, with convenient transportation and many restaurants.
Give me a whole day, and I'll give you a thousand years. There is indeed an ancient atmosphere inside. I bought the ticket through Meituan. When I bought it, I had something like a bracelet to wear, which said that I could enter the scenic area twice. It's not very big, and the playing time should be about 3 hours. It's also quite refreshing to take pictures. There is a toilet waterfall inside, which is quite unique. However, the restroom is a bit hard to find, and even the restroom is very unique.
I went there and it was not as fun as others wrote. It was more expensive. There was no discount for student ID. It was the same as Guangzhou Creative Park. There were many ceramic artworks inside. The ceramic making performance only took a few minutes. Today was Monday and the museums were closed. I just played with some ancient buildings.
It is a petite and artistic place, with few people and quietness, just like pigeons, music, and wind chimes...
Shiwan Kiln, Leizhou Kiln and Chaozhou Kiln are known as the three major kiln systems in Guangdong. They are good at imitating Jun porcelain. I heard about them when I was a volunteer at Guangdong Provincial Museum. I was lucky enough to come here to explore the opportunities offered by the college to visit Nanfeng Ancient Kiln and Foshan Ceramic Enterprises.
We took a bus from Guangzhou to Nanfeng Ancient Stove. The first thing we saw when we got off the bus was the "Nanfeng Ancient Stove" plaque. After entering the park, I found that it was a complex of ancient buildings and old houses from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The tour guide first explained the firing process of ceramics to us, then watched a live performance of handmade ceramics and other handicrafts, and finally let us visit freely. The whole scenic area is quite large, full of artistic atmosphere, and you can learn a lot of knowledge.
A national AAAA scenic spot located in the Chancheng District. In ancient times, Shiwan was a place where porcelain was fired. It contains a lot of information about Shiwan's ancient commerce, including the production methods of ancient porcelain and rice wine.
As a famous scenic spot in Foshan, there is nothing special about it.
It's relatively small, but still very unique, worth going together, and you can play in the mud
A very nice place. You must go here when you go to Foshan. It is a very representative attraction in Foshan. The outer circle is some ceramic trading shops, and the inner circle is some homestays and small shops, mainly focusing on ceramics.
It has a long history and culture, traditional pottery craftsmanship, and lifelike carving craftsmanship, which you should not miss.
Nanfeng Ancient Kiln, give me one day and I'll give you a thousand years. There are many ancient houses from the Ming and Qing dynasties preserved here, and there are many alleys. It is also the birthplace of Shiwan ceramic culture. You can come here to experience the ceramic culture, and it is really suitable for taking pictures, but it's a bit unreasonable to ask for tickets!
Nanfeng Ancient Kiln is located on Gaomiao Road, Shiwan Town, Foshan City. Foshan is a hometown of pottery art and has been known as "Shiwan tiles are the best in the world" since ancient times. Nanfeng Ancient Kiln was built in 1506 (during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty) and has been passed down for more than 500 years. It is known as the "living fossil of ceramics."
The warm and soft light shines on the wall of the ancient residence of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Guyao, just like the loving eyes of a mother caressing a sleeping baby. Foshan, a southern city, is only in winter or around winter when the sky and temperature are what I, a foreigner born in the south, like to accept. The sky at 7 or 8 o'clock is very blue, deep blue, like a gentleman. There are many small scenes in Guyao, and each scene can be painted. The structural pattern is all centered around the word "quiet". The word "tranquil" is the best way to describe it. I took a picture before leaving, and it felt like an oil painting. The blue was gone, and only gray and white remained.
One of the top ten attractions in Foshan, people who like quietness can hang out, and ceramics can be purchased outside at a good price. And Foshan, simple, worth a visit
This is a Ming and Qing architectural complex with ceramics as the theme. There are ceramics shops everywhere. What’s the point of going there if you don’t buy ceramics? The so-called toilet waterfall is a wall full of toilets and large jars, and then water flows down, not splashing down, but smaller than the water flow from a toilet. It feels like it’s leaking because it’s not completely flushed. Nanfeng Ancient Stove is part of the architectural complex. There is a main entrance near Gaomiao Road, and the other entrances and exits are all in a small alley. There is a security booth. The ticket is 25 yuan, and you will also be given a tie to your hand, which allows you to enter and exit multiple times. It’s quite humane, isn’t it? But there is not much content inside, two trees, two or three halls, two or three small shops, two or three kilns, two or three alleys…
If you happen to go to Foshan, you can go and have a look. There are many pottery workshops where you can have a look and experience.
The ticket is 25 yuan, and Meituan has a group purchase for 18 yuan. After buying the ticket, you will be given a wristband to wear. This wristband is very useful because this scenic spot is quite capricious and you may accidentally walk out. If you have the wristband, you can go back and go back as many times as you want.
It's a bit run-down inside, with grass growing on the ground, and many small shops seem to have fallen into disrepair. It's more suitable for young people with artistic tastes, and it's great for taking photos. There are various shops selling ceramic handicrafts, so you can go and have a look if you're interested.
Nanfeng Ancient Stove is a scenic spot with very folk characteristics. It is the birthplace of ancient folk ceramics. Some of the old houses inside have been renovated, but some parts still retain their original appearance. It is suitable for the whole family to come and visit, and you can also play with clay, so that children can experience the fun of making ceramics. Here is Shiwan Park, and everyone can walk all the way there. There is a vegetarian buffet restaurant at the entrance of Shiwan Park, called "Original Hometown Vegetarian", which is worth a try. There are still discounts. In addition, there is Hengdian Cinema, a Wing Chun gym, and restaurants inside. Tickets are required to go through the main gate, but the locals here don’t go through the main gate... Because the roads around are all connected, there is no need to buy any tickets at all...
This is a ceramic street. People who like Foshan figurines can come here to play. It's a good place.
Nanfeng Ancient Kiln is the best place to learn about ceramics.
You will be given a piece of this thing on your wrist when you enter the gate, which can be used to enter and exit twice on the same day.
Nanfeng Ancient Kiln, with its long-standing pottery culture in Shiwan, Foshan, was built during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty (1506-1521) and has a history of nearly 500 years. It is a national key cultural relic protection unit and the oldest wood-fired dragon kiln still in use in the world.
Antique and nice. Few people. Can make ceramics
This is still worth a visit, you can see other people making ceramics.
Nanfeng Ancient Kiln is the first step to understand Lingnan culture and the development of ancient kilns.
Because I like drinking tea recently, I am looking forward to the Nanfeng Ancient Kiln. I didn't expect to see a kiln that is still firing for 500 years, and it is so big, which is beyond my imagination.
The toilet wall and wash basin wall are very nice and creative. You can also play pottery at Nanfeng Ancient Stove and make your own bottles.
Today I'm going to the [Nanfeng Ancient Kiln] scenic spot in Shiwan, Foshan's pottery capital. The ticket is 25. Or take the Guangfo Line at the bus hub opposite the hotel, which is only about an hour's drive. Nanfeng Kiln was built during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty (1506-1521). It has a history of nearly 500 years and is a national key cultural relic protection unit. It is the oldest wood-fired dragon kiln in use in the world. I read online reviews before, saying that the scenic spot integrates production, learning, and shopping, and can deeply understand the pottery culture. I was very excited and came here with great expectations. Who knows... I bought a package for throwing pottery, but there was not even a master, so we were allowed to do it ourselves. The scenic area is very small, with only small workshops on the street. There is nothing worth visiting. It is gratifying that I ate double skin milk and red bean paste tofu pudding here, which are delicious (there are also some in the food street where we live)! The Shiwan Street Park outside the scenic area has a good view, and the toilet waterfall, haha
A special park in Foshan City. This dragon kiln is a kiln factory that was put into use in the Ming Dynasty.
The ancient stove was built on the mountain, following the steep slope, burning from bottom to top, and opening several small holes on the top of the kiln to allow air to circulate well.
The wall next to the kiln is blocked with fire bricks to increase the temperature
The folk customs here are simple and the architecture is very unique. The most special thing is that on the high temperature wall of the dragon kiln, a magical banyan tree has grown, which has been with the dragon kiln for more than 400 years.
In addition to the main dragon kiln, there are also handicraft workshops in the small alleys behind it, where you can buy small pottery or make your own kiln.
There are a lot of things to see. Tickets are 20 yuan and the ticket sales end at 4:30 pm. Recommended to visit~
