Futian Mangrove Nature Reserve

Located on the north bank of Shenzhen Bay, it is the smallest mangrove reserve in my country and the only national nature reserve in the hinterland of a city.
It is an important bird habitat with about 200 bird species, 23 of which are under national key protection, such as the Dalmatian pelican and the black-faced spoonbill.
The mangroves are separated from the Mai Po Nature Reserve in Hong Kong by a river, and together they form the Shenzhen Bay Wetland Ecosystem, which is of international significance.

The mangrove forest is not large, but it is a good place for a leisurely walk.

By _Manny |

I saw many families playing here on weekends. It's just the beach and green grass, nothing to do.

By Rest, little thief |

I usually hang out in Shenzhen Bay Park. The mangrove forest is next to the park, but you can't go in. The area doesn't look very big, but there are many birds in the sea area, so it is probably rich in nutrients.

By Morning |

The greenery is very good, the sea water is very muddy, the basic service facilities are good, suitable for strolling and resting, it is not recommended to go there specially

By SYR |

Very comfortable seaside promenade. However, there is a big gap between the bicycle path closer to the sea and the pedestrian path. There are only a few steps along the way. Although I understand the intention of not wanting bicycles and pedestrians to mix, it still feels very inconvenient.

Mangrove wetlands and urban greenways are great places for cycling and walking.

Occasionally, you can see white spoonbills, black-headed gulls, little greenshanks, etc. resting on the mud. They do nothing, just sit quietly and look at the sea, the mottled swaying shadows of the trees and the cool breeze - it is really healing.

By Pancakes |

Friends who like photography can come here to "shoot birds".

The scenery is nice, and the key is that many water birds live here, making this place come alive.

By Popular |

Breathing the fresh air after the rain, strolling among the green, and looking across the sea through the mist, it feels quite comfortable.

By Peaches are sweet |

Entering the park, you will see a wide two-story coastal boulevard. The outer road near the mangroves is lower and is the main road for bicycle enthusiasts. The inner road next to it is higher and is planted with palm trees and other southern trees. It is a walking path for tourists. Looking across the central waters is the territory of Hong Kong. At the bend, the sea view of the sky and the modern buildings above the mangroves in the distance are intertwined, which makes people's blood boil.

By Jasmine |

The environment of Mangrove Park is really good. The reeds are lush and the egrets are white. They play in groups on the beach, pure and white. It is really "you can watch from a distance but not play with it". Across the sea is Hong Kong.

By Yuanxianxian |

The scenic spot is in Shenzhen Bay, and there are many varieties of coconut trees. Of course, there are many tourists during festivals.

By Xiao Ai |

The first time I went there was when I accidentally passed by the mangrove forest. I walked in and thought it was just a park with coconut trees. Later, when I came back with my friends, I found that it was by the sea. The large lawn was very comfortable.

In sunny weather, it feels like a beach vacation.

By Rudeandcc |

Located at Shenzhen Mangrove Bay Metro Station, it is an open park. During the weekend, after a busy week of work, many people still choose to come here to relax. Bring your snacks and lunch boxes, choose a piece of lawn, have a picnic, face the sea, and feel the tranquility in the air. You can also rent a bicycle, ride along the coastline, and look at Hong Kong across the street.

By Young but old |

It is close to where I live. I often go to the mangroves to ride a bike. I like lying on the grass and looking at the sky. The feeling of my mind being empty makes me feel happy instantly. It is a good place. I recommend it.

By Spring_Grace |

It's pretty good. It's connected to Shenzhen Bay Park. Next to it is Shenzhen Bay. You can see Hong Kong across the street. The park is like a botanical garden. There are also many trees. It's very suitable for a stroll.

By Solo Walker |

The real mangrove nature reserve is now only open to students, and an appointment is required to enter. The place for the public to visit is the Mangrove Coastal Ecological Park next to the reserve, so there are almost no mangroves in the park.

Park advantages: close view of the sea and Hong Kong, pleasant walking or cycling along the coast (bicycles are not allowed on weekends and holidays); rich green plants and large leisure lawns for people to relax; one of Shenzhen's major bird-watching spots, where you can enjoy migratory birds in autumn and winter (the picture shows a black-faced spoonbill photographed in the park in winter).

Disadvantages: The sea water is polluted and sometimes you can smell a fishy smell (parents are advised not to let their children play in the water); there are few public toilets and the hygiene is poor; the signposts in the park are unclear; it is always crowded during holidays.

By Sunset in late autumn |

Shenzhen Bay Park, I like to take a walk here, enjoy the sea breeze at sunset, and have a meal at Coast City in the evening. It's very pleasant. I highly recommend this place.

By Flowers Outdoor |

Here you can enjoy the natural beauty of sunset, thousands of birds flying together, and the still water and the sky. Futian Mangrove Nature Reserve is a green corridor in the urban area of Shenzhen. It is backed by the beautiful and wide Binhai Avenue, connected to the Binhai Ecological Park, and faces the rippling Shenzhen Bay. It is not only a paradise for birds to live and play, a kingdom for plants, but also a good place for people to go outing, bird watching, sea watching, and experience the natural scenery.

Subway Line 9, Haibin Park, Exit C2, the scenery is beautiful, there are many seagulls, bring a bag of bread to feed the seagulls, the seagulls will be very happy

By all |

The environment was good when I went there, but there was no sun~ I took some travel photos for my brother and sister-in-law❤️

By Jenny |

There are mudflats everywhere, quiet in the midst of bustle, beautiful scenery with winding paths, sea water on one side and lush plants on the other. If you are a couple, walking slowly along the carefully paved road should be a great experience.

By Geranium |

A good place to watch the sea, seagulls and mangroves

By Ferryman |

It is located near Shenzhen Bay, next to a cycling path. In November and December, you can also see a large number of migratory birds, which is quite spectacular.

By Blue Flower |

Seagulls fly, egrets roost, and the waves are gentle. It is suitable for children to play with small buckets and shovels. My son didn't want to leave after playing. It is also suitable for taking pictures. The seagulls are really beautiful when they fly, but they don't fly all the time. Sometimes I don't know where they fly. Only wild ducks (I don't know if they are called wild ducks) are always there. The downside is that the stairs to the shore are a bit far, and some people are climbing the embankment. The toilet is a portable one, and there is no paper in it. There is a lack of trash cans on the beach.

By Gen He |

The most beautiful scenery of the Futian Mangrove Reserve is the seaside and the tree lawn. It is a good place to sit on the lawn and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the seaside.

By Your smile is good weather |

No scenery to take pictures of, recommended for leisure, running, exercise and sunbathing

By Spring is coming |

The Mangrove Nature Reserve has some natural trees, flowers, and coastlines.

By Time & Rose |

During the day, there is a strong sea breeze. The coastline of the scenic spot is very long. You can vaguely see some buildings in Hong Kong from a distance. You can ride a bicycle along the coastline to enjoy the beautiful seaside scenery. There is also a park in the reserve. There is a large lawn in the park where you can camp while looking at the sea.

By Zhong Siying |

The mangroves are actually connected to Shenzhen Bay, a good place for leisure

By Wenzi, how are you? |

You can't actually enter the Mangrove Nature Reserve. You can only see the area next to the Seaside Park. Ride your bike to the Seaside Park and stroll along the way, enjoy the sea breeze, appreciate the plants in Shenzhen, and see all kinds of birds, standing on the rocks or floating on the sea. Along the way, you can meet many people riding bicycles, dancing lightly; there are also couples hugging on the rocks by the sea. At night, you can still see the lights of high-rise buildings in the distance.

A nature reserve next to Shenzhen Bay with great views

By Lu Sen |

The mangroves are much more beautiful than you might imagine. It's a good place to spend the weekend with a tablecloth, coffee, snacks, and a book.

By Free traveler |

Shenzhen mangroves are well-known. Tourists from home and abroad who come to Shenzhen now have to go to the Seaside Ecological Park to see the mangroves winding along the coast and the spectacular scene of tens of thousands of water birds wintering there. The mangroves are separated from the Mai Po Nature Reserve in Hong Kong by a river, and together they form the Shenzhen Bay Wetland Ecosystem of international significance, and have become the most distinctive landscape on the Shenzhen-Hong Kong border. There are many migratory birds there, which is suitable for bird watching and sunrise and sunset viewing. In addition, it is very pleasant to walk or ride along the Shenzhen Bay in the evening, which is worth a visit.

By ,,, |

It's great to ride a bike there, watch the sunset, and feel the sea breeze.

By 🌻 in the sun |

It's sunny but the environment is really good~ It's foggy today so it doesn't look very clear

By Blue Charm |

The scenery is beautiful, the natural environment is good, the public services are also very good, and there are washbasins every few meters.

By Hey.Hey hey... |

There are two mangrove nature reserves in Shenzhen. One is in Nanshan District. The other is in Baoan District. Baoan District is a new one. Nanshan District has relatively complete supporting facilities. It takes an hour to visit the whole area by bicycle. So I suggest that if you want to rest and relax, you can go there early and stop for a walk. The scenery inside is very good. You can see the bridge to Hong Kong from the coastal avenue. If the air is good and the weather is good, you can see some buildings in Hong Kong.

Mangrove Nature Reserve, with trails along the coast where you can run and ride a bike, and tropical trees along the trails

By idoluna |

It's worth a look. The scenery is very good at the beginning.

By Zizy |

I went there once for a walk in the evening and once for a bike ride in the morning. I was not very sunburned. But the scenery was nice, with seabirds and sea breeze. When I went there in the evening, there was a girl in white clothes with long hair dancing in the sea breeze with her long sleeves.

By How can someone who is not good know my heart? |

It's not bad. The shore is suitable for cycling. There are also many plants to see inside. But I was a little bored when I was alone.

2017.6.3 Shenzhen Mangrove Scenic Area, enough words, so annoying, hehe

The mangrove nature reserve here is a classic attraction that you must visit. It is a landscape that can only be found in areas along the southeast coast that are close to tropical climate attributes.

Mangroves are a very good place for leisure

By Qiheng Meilan |

Shenzhen Mangrove Forest is located on the bank of Shenzhen Bay. It is the smallest national nature reserve in the urban area of my country. It is also a national bird sanctuary. Here you can enjoy the natural beauty of sunset, thousands of birds flying together, and the still water and the sky.

Mangroves are a popular place for Shenzhen residents to go for leisure and play. They go jogging, cycling, or have a picnic or lie down on the grass. It is even more lively on weekends. It faces Hong Kong across the sea. If you don’t have time to go to Hong Kong when you are in Shenzhen, you can go to the mangroves to see Hong Kong from a distance. However, the sea water is not very clean.

I often go cycling in the mangroves when I work in Shenzhen.

By Penguin who loves ribs |

The planning and design is very good. It is really based on ecological protection, and is equipped with sufficient service facilities, public toilets, faucets, etc. The number of vending machines is also reasonable. The vegetation types are rich, the walking system is rich, and it is just under the shade of the trees. It is relatively cool

A good weekend place for leisure, with pleasant scenery

By Xiao Zhang sailing across the vast ocean |

Maybe because of the weather, the overall feeling is not very good, but it is a good place for a walk, or a place to have a picnic with family and friends.

By Not crazy or crazy |

I went there today during the Qingming holiday. There were a lot of people there and there was a sea breeze. I walked about halfway along the coastline and only saw seagulls in one place. There were also many trees on the shore where people could enjoy the cool air.

By Langgege |

Take a walk and enjoy the sea breeze, and you will feel very comfortable! There are photo spots everywhere! The key is that you will feel very cozy and comfortable just sitting there!

By rain |

The scenery is nice and you can ride a bicycle to explore, which is suitable for bringing children to play.

By The dusk is picturesque |

I am an office worker in Shenzhen. I often go to the mangroves whenever I have time. It can be said to be a bird-watching paradise, with a group of seagulls and seabirds often wandering and nesting there. The bicycle lane surrounding the Shenzhen Bay is a must-go place for cyclists. The road is quite spacious. It was smooth when there were no shared bicycles a year ago. Now with the addition of shared bicycles, it is extremely congested. It is almost impossible to ride a bicycle in the first half, and you can only travel smoothly in the second half. In winter and spring when the sea water is less used, there is still a smell of silt. The scenery is beautiful with green trees and lawns, and complete facilities. It is really a weekend leisure paradise.

A1 Mangrove Seaside Ecological Park is located in the easternmost part of Shenzhen Bay Park. It is the buffer zone of the Mangrove Bird Nature Reserve, where you can see the mangroves up close. Some people may ask why there are no "mangroves" in the mangroves? In fact, mangroves refer to the woody biological communities of tidal flats and wetlands composed of evergreen shrubs or trees with mangrove plants as the main body, which grow in the tidal flats and shallows at the junction of tropical and subtropical land and ocean and are flooded by periodic tides. It is a special ecosystem where land transitions to the ocean.

The Mangrove Seaside is a great place to go, especially on weekends, when many families bring their children to fly kites, go hiking, and look out at Hong Kong across the sea, watching seabirds flying over the sea. Unmarried couples can take it as a good place to walk. Friends who like fitness can also go for long-distance running here.

By Zoe's Global Travel Journal |

This place was not originally on my itinerary, but was recommended by a friend. I think it might be due to the season, I didn't think the scenery was very good.

By ld5100 |

Shenzhen mangroves have beautiful scenery, very good air and are romantic.

By Huahua |

The scenery was nice, but it was a bit cloudy, so the photos didn't come out well.

Play + take pictures for about 2 hours

You can't enter the protected area. You have to go to the coastal park next to it.

Spend an afternoon walking and stopping at the beach of Shenzhen Bay, basking in the sun, feeling the sea breeze, listening to music and gazing at Hong Kong from afar. This is what it means to be comfortable.

By Children's Words |

The Mangrove Nature Reserve is a nature reserve established to protect mangroves. Mangroves are a unique community of evergreen shrubs and small trees on mudflats in tropical and subtropical bays and estuaries. Mangroves have breathing roots or prop roots, and their seeds can germinate in the fruits on the trees and grow into seedlings, and then break away from the mother plant and fall into the mud to develop and grow.

By Millcake kk |

Mangroves, hundreds of years old. Nearly ten kilometers along the coast, looking out is the sea, the outlet of the Pearl River, the water waves are vague, the sunset glows, and the sky is full of colorful clouds. The sun is round and hanging in the sky, and the clouds are radiating thousands of feet of light. The mangroves are dyed vermilion, and the emerald green leaves turn into agate color under the sunset, which is very lovely.

Mangroves protect the land and water, and become a landscape that beautifies everyone. Some people also say: she is a green guardian, she is a goddess.

It was beautiful (but the water smelled a bit stinky) The weather was not very good that day, so I took some nice pictures

By Li Ziyou |

The Mangrove Nature Reserve is a nature reserve established to protect mangroves. Mangroves have breathing roots or prop roots, which can protect the coastline and resist natural disasters such as typhoons. However, with the development of land reclamation projects, the area of mangroves has gradually decreased. You need to make an appointment with the park to enter the reserve for a visit. The scenery is amazing.

The grass is ok to step on...because it is a weekend and there are many people, it is difficult to wait for a parking space

By Bad Water |

A very nice seaside park. This park was newly built after 2011. It faces Hong Kong across the sea and has a very nice environment. I walked around and rented a bicycle for an hour (20 yuan per hour).

By Calabash Brothers, where are you running to? |

I like riding my bike to Shekou section in the evening to watch the sunset. It's very cool under the bridge.

By Ah Ah Nan Sauce |

There are many young couples on the riverside, and Hong Kong is on the other side of the river. The tall buildings on the other side. Well, I can only look at it, and then sit there stupidly for a long, long time. But the scenery here is really good, and you can rent a bicycle. The main reason is that I have too many props on me, so I can only be in a daze. If you come at the right time, this place is really suitable for you.

By shicaotang |
