Tung Chung, also known as Dongchong, is located at the southernmost tip of the southeastern Dapeng Peninsula. It has beautiful scenery and most of its areas have not been developed, maintaining its original beauty.
The sand in the Dongchong Beach area is fine and soft, and you can swim and play beach volleyball. There are many homestays built there, and the construction is relatively mature. It is a good place for vacation, but there is a fee.
The beach here is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with reefs everywhere. The coastline all the way to Xichong is very pristine, which is very suitable for hiking. It is also a good choice to watch the sea view from the top of the mountain.

Tung Chung is located on the eastern coast of Shenzhen. It is a beautiful bay surrounded by green mountains on three sides. It is adjacent to Qiniangshan Forest Park in the north and Shenzhen's unique brackish water mangrove reserve in the east. It is across from Sanmen Island. The nearly two-kilometer-long golden beach is like a crescent moon embedded between the green mountains and blue waves. The water here is clear, the sand is fine, and the sea and sky are one color.
If you walk through Dongxiyong, you can see the unbeatable sea view, which is worth a visit.
Tung Chung, Hong Kong.
We were originally heading to Lantau Island and passed through Tung Chung.
The cable car was closed due to thunderstorms. We went shopping at the outlet mall in Tung Chung. This dress was the result of a lot of shopping. It was cold at the time, so I bought it and wore it right away.
The water quality is cleaner than the sea west of the Pearl River Estuary all the way to the beginning of the Chinese coastline.
The waves were rough and the temperature was low that day.
The beach fee is usually 20 yuan per person.
When you come to Shenzhen, you must go to the East and West Yong, Dameisha and Xiaomeisha.
The beach I have been to is the most beautiful. The ticket is 20 yuan and the tent rental is 80 yuan. The beach is beautiful.
Located in Dapeng New District, Shenzhen, the sea area is characterized by excellent water quality, surrounded by mountains on three sides, beautiful scenery, fresh air, and perfect seaside resources. It is very suitable for sailing and yachting, with convenient transportation and free opening to the public.
I went there on October 2 (yesterday). There were a lot of people and a bit of traffic jam. I had to walk the last two kilometers. There was a lack of public transportation on the way back. The shore was a bit dirty due to the damage caused by the typhoon, but the beach was still good. The sand was very fine and soft, and it was very comfortable to step on. The waves hitting my legs during high tide were so refreshing. But people were not allowed to go up the mountain. I don't know why.
I visited Tung Chung last year, but didn't go to Sai Chung due to time constraints. This time I went to Sai Chung, but Sai Chung Beach has been closed due to typhoon damage and will probably be open next year. Tung Chung Beach is still open, and the beach population has also been damaged to a certain extent. Compared with last year, there are more speedboats, more homestays, and more food. This time it was cloudy, so I didn't see the sunrise. Here are some photos of Tung Chung last year.
How were Tung Chung and Tsai Chung named?
The locals call a river a "chong", and a river is a "chong". So Dongchong and Xichong got their names. This is a photography base, and many people come here to take pictures. However, the beach is not that big, but small has its own beauty. Let me talk about the houses here, which give people a great feeling. Now it seems that most of the beaches in Shenzhen are not optimistic. Affected by "Mangkhut", some beaches and buildings are damaged. We have to wait for official notification when the repairs will be completed.
This is a photography base, and many people come here to take photos.
The beach is not that big, but small has its own beauty. Tung Chung Beach is longer and very comfortable. The houses here give people a great feeling.
It is a very small beach with several characteristic homestays beside it. You can take a speedboat to Sanmen Island opposite, the starting point of the Dongxi Chong and Haichaijiao crossing.
There are not as many tourists as in Xichong, but the scenery is similar
Along the way, you can enjoy the mountain and sea scenery, the clear water and blue sky, and wash away the dust of the city. In the infinite tranquility, the soul is pulled out of the body and merged into the sea. Pingshan is close to the sea, with mountains crisscrossing and a long coastline. The beaches, islands, reefs, sea rocks, caves, bridges, pillars and other marine erosion landforms are well developed, and the sea view is unbeatable! Hike along the coastline together.
The hiking route I took was from Dongchong to Xichong. It took me an afternoon to walk along the coastline. It was quite interesting.
I haven't been to Dongchong Beach, but the scenery at the starting point of the Dongchong coastline is very beautiful.
Personally, I think the wild beach in Tung Chung is more beautiful than that in Xichong. Its beauty lies in its exquisiteness, wildness and seclusion.
Shenzhen is one of the best beaches. The seawater is very clean and the sand on the beach is very small. There is an entrance fee and parking fee to enter the beach, and there is also a fee for bathing. The facilities are very complete. It is suitable for flying kites, swimming, playing in the sand, picking up shells, renting parasols, and bringing your own tents.
There are even fewer people in Dongchong, and it is so comfortable to lie on an empty lounge chair. A blue gauze house by the sea reminded me of the Dolphin Bay Lovers I watched when I was a child. The beach here is steeper, and I picked up a lot of small shells here.
Tung Chung Village is a popular crossing point for hiking in Dongchong and Xichong. The village is quite peaceful. If it is the peak tourist season, the village is lively. If it is the off-season, it is a bit scary at night. It is a bit scary because of the darkness... However, the scenery of Dongchong Beach is really great. Although it is smaller than Xichong, it has fewer people and is quieter, so it is quite good for camping.
Dongchong Village is located at the southernmost tip of Dapeng Peninsula and is an administrative village at the easternmost tip of Shenzhen. There are less than 500 local people in the village. Dongchong Village is the only village in Shenzhen that is not connected to a provincial highway. Villagers mainly make a living by breeding and fishing. Now tourism has gradually become the main industry here. Dongchong is less than 10 kilometers away from Xichong. Of course, it is also a mountain road. There is a section that is a township road, and the road condition is relatively poor. There is a hiking trail from Xichong to Dongchong that is very popular with hiking enthusiasts.
Dongchong Beach is much smaller than Xichong Beach, only about 500 meters long. Small has its advantages. The beach here is relatively clean, not crowded, relatively quiet, and a good place to watch the sunrise. The beach is surrounded by mountains on three sides, opposite to Huizhou's Sanmen Island, where you can take a boat. Dongchong Beach is now fenced off, and you need to buy a ticket to go down to the beach, 13 yuan per time.
On the Dapeng Peninsula, although it is far from the urban area of Shenzhen, it is worth visiting a beach that is not overdeveloped, the sky is particularly blue, and the sand is soft and comfortable.
Tung Chung belongs to Nan'ao Town. It only takes about 15 minutes to reach the beach from Nan'ao. My friend said that he would not go anywhere else in the future and would only go here for vacation. Hehehe!
In fact, the natural beauty in front of us is no less than any resort in the world, and can be compared with such relaxing and comfortable seaside resorts as Yalong Bay, Bali, Cancun, Hawaii, etc.
The beautiful bay embraces the blue sea and blue sky, and there are many tourists. Due to traffic reasons, it has not been beautified by so-called artificial means, so it can show the most natural charm. Xichong and Dongchong are both on the edge of Dapeng Peninsula, with the coastline connected in a line, the sea water is blue and transparent, and the waves are one after another, full of momentum. The sand under your feet is particularly fine. When the wind blows, a layer of sand will fall on your whole body. With a light tap, the fine sand will float away with the large team. The most coveted thing is that the beach is full of shells. I believe this is unique along the Shenzhen coast. You don’t have to worry about others snatching shells from you when picking them, because there are too many, so remember to bring plastic bags to hold the shells. Friends with a more adventurous spirit can walk along the coast and have a passionate journey. Jumping on the rocks, avoiding the thorny wild pineapples all over the mountains, the winding paths, and challenging yourself are definitely a wonderful journey. I also want to remind you that Dongchong is a good place to see the first ray of sunshine in Shenzhen.
On May Day, we set out from Dongchong and crossed to Xichong. The weather was very good and the sea was very blue. It was fun to walk on rocks and catch crabs along the way.
I feel that the water in Dongchong is cleaner than that in Xichong. It is clearer and has waves.
Tung Chung is much smaller than Xichong, but it is hundreds of times cleaner, with very few people and very clean water, making it very suitable for surfing or swimming.
The sea water is clear and the reefs are stacked. There are many people hiking outdoors.
We hiked along the coastline of Dongxiyong. There were a lot of people that day. The weather was hot in August, and our clothes were soaked in sweat.
Tung Chung is indeed a good place for leisure. Usually there are not many people there, and there is a lot of material for photography, including the sea, beach, fishing boats, egrets, wetlands, woods, villages, hotels, and wedding photography bases. It has everything, and the consumption is not high. The seafood is fresh and the inn is affordable. It is worth visiting again.
It is in a semi-open state, which is very suitable for leisure travel. It is recommended to avoid the peak period of long holidays and go there on a weekend with good weather. Even if you just stare at the sea, you will feel very beautiful.
The beach is very small, the water is cleaner than Xichong, camping is not allowed on the beach, it is recommended to stay in a B&B. The beach management office charges 10 yuan for a shower, but there is no hot water.
The water quality is average, the waves are relatively small, suitable for beginners to learn surfing
1. Location: Located in Nan'ao Street, Dapeng New District, Shenzhen, it can be said to be the southernmost beach of Dapeng Peninsula.
2. Transportation: If you drive, go directly from Nan'ao Subdistrict Office to Dongchong and Xichong, and then turn to Dongchong Road and walk about 10 kilometers to the boundary marker of Dongchong and Xichong (there is a stone with words on it), and then you will arrive. If you take the bus, you can take M231 directly at Dapeng Center. There are quite a lot of parking spaces here. If you really don't know the road, you can share a car with others at the bus station on the Nan'ao side. It costs about 10 yuan. You can tell the driver whether you want to go to the beach or the crossing. The drivers are very familiar with it.
3. Personal experience: Dongchong is one of the most beautiful beaches in Shenzhen. The sea here is clean, there are few people (many people go to Xichong), the air is good, and many people choose to cross here. It takes about 2 hours to cross to Xichong. However, you must prepare water and other things before coming here, because the things here are very expensive. The beach is pretty good, and the ticket price is 13 yuan. By the way, there is also a Dongchong Tianhou Temple next to it, which was built in 2011. You can also go and have a look.
It's very relaxing, the whole pace is relatively slow, it's recommended to bring some barbecue, beer, etc., you can make it yourself, it's very comfortable. The beach is very cool at night, you can camp there with a tent, blow the sea breeze, chat with a few friends, watch the sunrise, it's a very comfortable life.
Tung Chung has better sand than Tsui Chung and fewer people, but you can't set up tents at night.
Tung Chung is also known as Dongchong, which is also in Nan'ao. Just like going to Xichong, you must first take bus E11 (8 stops) in the city to Nan'ao Terminal, and then take a minibus to Dongchong.
After talking about Tung Chung, we have to talk about Xichong. As long as you have enough physical strength, you can cross from east to west. There are cliffs and steep cliffs along the way, and the scenery is infinitely beautiful. Every November to March of the following year is more suitable for crossing. At that time, the weather is not so hot and you can wear long sleeves. The scenery along the way is really a pleasure.
This is a very good route for hikers who like to abuse themselves. You can jump on the big rocks of various shapes along the coastline of Shenzhen, listen to the sea, and have fun. It is quite difficult, but it is really good. It also reminds me of the hike in Tiger Leaping Gorge with my friends. I wish my friends will always be happy and healthy. I am also very grateful for the previous suggestions of "Finding the Unknown Self"
Tung Chung, also known as Dongchong, is located in the east of Dapeng Peninsula (Nan'ao Peninsula) in Shenzhen. It is an upper-middle-level beach among the dozen nearby beaches. The beach is not big, the waves are small, the sand is fine, and the water quality is good. There are not many hotels, only one hotel with a beach, and there are many homestays within a 10-minute walk nearby. The transportation is not very convenient, it is better to drive by yourself, there are few shuttle buses, there are not many villages, and there are not many places to eat. You must book a room in advance during holidays.
Dongchong is located at the southernmost tip of Dapeng Peninsula in the southeast of Shenzhen. It has beautiful scenery along the coast and has not been developed on a large scale. Especially in Dongchong Village, there are still large fish ponds. Dongchong Administrative Village consists of 6 natural villages, from west to east, they are Dashili, Kapokshu, Shangwei, Dawei, Shagang, and Chongjie. There are less than 500 local people in the village. Dongchong Village is the only village in Shenzhen that is not accessible by provincial roads. The villagers make a living by aquaculture and fishing.
The waters of Dongchong are more delicate than those of Xichong. I personally think that it is small but delicate. Moreover, I found surfing in Dongchong but not in Xichong. Why is that? It is caused by the topography. As we know, beaches that can be surfed have very high requirements for waves, and the formation of waves is limited by the shape of the bay. Generally, the waves suitable for surfing are high and stretch in places with deeper water. The water quality in such places must be good. . .
The scenery of Dongchong is very good. Dongchong and Xichong are connected together. The beach, sea water and sky are all shared. The sky is very blue and the water is very clear! It must be recommended to go and have a look. It does not have the development facilities of Xichong, so it is still very suitable for playing.

There are many rocks at the starting point of the hike in Tung Chung. The sea view is superb, but getting close to the sea requires some adventure - you need to climb over the steep rocks to the beach. After going down, you will feel that the hardships ahead are worth it. The sea water is very clear, and the splashes of water hitting the rocks on the shore are clear. The water at the beach is very shallow and clear, and you can see the bottom. It is not ordinary beauty~
Compared to Xichong, the beach at Dongchong is smaller, but there are also many people. I don't know if it's because I've been to Xichong before, or the crossing line is too beautiful, but I feel that Dongchong is a bit inferior.
Just like Xichong, there are also many people returning from Donchong, and there is a long queue waiting for the bus. It is recommended to share a car directly, and the cost is also about 10 yuan per person.
If you travel east and west for two days and one night, the recommended route is:
DAY1: Downtown - Xichong, stay overnight in Xichong
DAY2: After sunrise in Xichong, we crossed Xichong through Dadongchong and returned from Dongchong. The timing was just right. We went there during the Dragon Boat Festival and there was a traffic jam. We also spent two days and one night to visit this attraction.
Maybe it was because I didn’t sleep all night, watching the sea go from bustling to quiet, and then slowly glowing with the rising sun, so I had a particularly deep impression.
Dongxi Chong is a good place to see the sea. It is much better than Dameisha and Xiaomeisha, because there are too many people in Dameisha and Xiaomeisha, and the water is not as clean as here.
The beach of Dongchong is very fine, comparable to the beaches in Hainan, but not as golden or silvery. The beach is very safe and you can rent tents. There is also the most beautiful coastline in Shenzhen, Dongchong, and Sanmen Island is opposite. It is worth visiting, but it is far away and there will be traffic jams on weekends.
The sea water here is also relatively clean. Because it is on the east side of Dapeng Peninsula, it is suitable for watching the sunrise at sea.
It is a great pity in life not to have a camera that can take beautiful pictures of scenery and people. It is a bit of a waste of the beautiful mountains and rivers. Li Bai said in the last sentence of "My Poor Concubine", "How long can you be happy if you use your beauty to please others?" He commented on beautiful women in this way, but after all, people are people, and scenery is scenery. Facing such an attractive sea view, there are many people who are fascinated by it! In the stereotype of everyone, the sea water is usually blue, dark blue, azure, etc. However, it is strange to say that when you look at it from a distance by car, it is blue, and when you look at it from a close distance, it becomes green. Looking from here, it is Daya Bay, the South China Sea, and the Pacific Ocean. The sea water is lush green. At the end of the sight, it is feathered by the fog and can be integrated with the blue sky.
The beach is not very big, the sand is relatively fine and the sea water is relatively clear, but it has a strong commercial atmosphere. Compared with Dameisha and Xiaomeisha, it is still worth a visit. If you have enough energy and time, I strongly recommend hiking along the Dongxi Chong coastline, the scenery is very beautiful.
The coastline from Dongchong to Xichong is perfect. I personally think it ranks first among the attractions in Shenzhen. If you come to Shenzhen, I highly recommend it. (Be prepared for 2 days and 7 hours of walking. It's super cool.)
It’s a small but beautiful bay with a fine sandy beach and a gentle slope, giving it a beautiful feel. You must go and experience it when you go to South Australia.
I chose to go to Dongchong Beach for a stroll on New Year's Day. The weather was really good, the sun was shining, and there were few cars and people along the way.
Dongchong Rouguan and Xichong Mianchang are two picturesque beaches. Challenge yourself to climb and cross the East and West Chongs to experience the invincible coastline.
Dongchong is the same as Xichong. The beach is managed by someone and each person has to pay an entrance fee of 13 RMB. There is a shower room after swimming, which costs 5 RMB per person. There is only cold water, and you have to bring your own shampoo and shower gel. It's a big bathhouse, you know~~ There is a toilet nearby for 1 RMB per time.
Not bad, it's my first time camping at the beach, the water is very clear, the development is relatively not as complete as Xichong, and there are relatively few people going there
Tung Chung Beach is much smaller than Xichong Beach, and there are fewer people. The waves are not as big as Xichong Beach, and the sea water is shallower, so people can walk far out. Tung Chung should be more suitable for young children to swim. Last year, my son was knocked down by the waves and choked on water several times on the shore of Xichong Beach. He is a little afraid of the sea in Xichong Beach, so when he came to Tung Chung, he wanted to go down and play in the water.
A gathering, a hike, a crossing, a camping trip, some storms, countless memories and friendships, this is our East-West Crossing Journey.
We were just passing by here, because walking from Xichong to Dongchong took a lot of energy and we were visually fatigued by the sea, so we took a taxi back directly from there.
Very blue sea, very soft sand, very relaxing walk! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Shenzhen's Dongxi Chong coastline was rated as one of the eight most beautiful coastlines and ten most beautiful hiking routes in China by National Geographic Magazine.
Sunshine Beach Cactus, just missing an old girl...
☀🌴🌵👙🌻
The island is beautiful, but the service is indifferent and profit-driven. I originally planned to hike through Dongchong, but was told that it was not possible. Xichong Beach has been closed since the last typhoon. This is the legendary Shenzhen speed 😂 In addition, the hotels and B&Bs in Dongchong are shabby. Can you have some taste and at least plant some flowers, plants, cats and dogs...
