The main attractions of Wutong Mountain are the two main peaks, Big Wutong and Small Wutong. Big Wutong is the highest peak in Shenzhen.
Xiao Wutong is located in the Fenggu Mingqin Scenic Area on the northern foot of Wutong Mountain. There is a viewing corridor along the ridge. The mountain here is not high and it is relatively easy to walk, suitable for tourists of all ages to come here to climb and see the distant view.
The most beautiful scenery of Wutong Mountain is the clouds and mists floating in from the sea. The top of the mountain is often shrouded in clouds and mists, so it is also called "Fog Locked Wutong".
Another worthwhile attraction in the scenic area is the Xianhu Botanical Garden. In addition to plants, the botanical garden also houses Hongfa Temple, one of the most popular temples in Shenzhen.

Keep route reference: Walk from the north gate to the big Wutong on Taishan Stream, and it takes one and a half hours to reach the top of the mountain. Most of the way is upward steps, which is difficult but there are parents who bring their children to walk there. Those who are not physically fit can take more rests along the way.
It's a place that tests your physical strength. The slope in the middle of the mountain is very steep, and the steps along the waterfall are a bit wet, so you have to use your hands and feet. Another difficulty is the several hundred meters of straight slope near the top. Your physical strength is almost exhausted. There is no shelter and the wind is very strong. Looking down the mountain, my legs are shaking again because I'm afraid of heights...
The road is shaded by trees and there is basically no sun. There are water and snacks for sale every one or two kilometers, so you don't need to carry too much, just bring some cash. You can get to the door quickly by walking on the road. It is recommended to go early because the road outside is narrow and prone to traffic jams.
The first time I climbed Wutong Mountain, I wasted a lot of energy. I took the Beidamen winding mountain road and spent two and a half hours walking and playing all the way, except for the Taishanjian Haohanpo section which was a bit difficult to walk. Haha, I didn’t want to take the road, but I am a road blind and could only follow the navigation. There were a few people performing and singing on the top of the mountain. There was a lot of fog on the top of the mountain, so I didn’t choose a good day. Haha, I ate something and was ready to go down the mountain at 4 o'clock, but I actually took the wrong way. I took the Taishanjian Salt Field section, a total of more than 4,000 meters, and reached the bottom of the mountain at 5:10, but my leg was also injured. I ran down to save time. I will climb it again if I have time.
#Wutong Mountain Travel Notes#
The first time I saw Wutong Mountain was when I was about 13 or 14 years old. I climbed Qiushui Mountain with my mother. When we reached the top, we saw the endless mountain scenery on the opposite side. My mother said that it was Wutong Mountain, the paradise described by Jin Yong! Many years later, I learned that it was indeed Wutong Mountain. Whether it is a paradise is a matter of opinion, but it is definitely not from Jin Yong's works as my mother casually said [covering face]
In the third year of working in Shenzhen, I took advantage of the comfortable spring day and walked slowly on the mountain trail alone with a small backpack. I had climbed several high mountains before, but I didn't take the 900-meter-high First Peak of Pengcheng seriously. I didn't make any strategy before setting out. I just randomly navigated to the foot of the mountain and started climbing up. I didn't know that this small Wutong Mountain actually had some of the spirit of a high mountain. Going up the mountain from the short 1,300-meter Lingyun Road, you have to use the posture of climbing Tai, and the nearly 90-degree cloud ladder goes straight up. Everyone was panting and motionless on the steepest section. The midday sun was shining on the buttocks of the climbers. The tourists next to them made a joke. Everyone seemed to be acupunctured by the steep slope.
There are a variety of rhododendrons and dozens of docile dogs on the top of the mountain. The wind is strong and cool clouds are floating in front of you.
When going down the mountain, we walked half of the Taishan Stream. The gurgling stream flowed down along the mountain rocks. The narrow mountain path was built along the stream. It was a great place to escape the summer heat or the hustle and bustle of the city!
The small Wutong Mountain allows you to experience the steepness of climbing big mountains and rivers, as well as the tranquility of mountain streams. It is worth the trip.
Navigation address: Guangdong Wutong Mountain National Forest Park Scenic Area-Main Entrance
Play time: 3-6 hours
Parking location: There is a large parking lot at the foot of the mountain, which is charged
Opening hours: 6:00am-7:00pm
Ticket information: Free
Climbing route: There are 6 climbing routes in total
(1) Wutong Mountain North Road, which is the road up the mountain. If you are going hiking with children, the elderly, or friends who don’t like to exercise, this route is definitely their first choice;
(2) Taishanjian Trail, the largest and longest mountain stream in Wutong Mountain, with the most beautiful scenery. There are three entrances along the way - Flower Viewing Terrace, Hulukou, and Fengmingquan;
(3) Lingyun Road is more dangerous. The maximum slope is more than 70 degrees. Rock climbing is very physically demanding. If you are elderly or children and are in poor health, it is best not to choose this road.
(4) Xiutong Trail, the most beautiful hiking trail among the sea and sky scenery, and the shortest hiking trail;
(5) Bitong Trail, the longest, most fully-equipped, and most physically challenging trail on Wutong Mountain;
(6) Dengyun Road winds up along the spine of Xianhu Lake. The fairy-like atmosphere of Hongfa Temple and Shenzhen Reservoir here are just the right place for busy people to temporarily forget their worries and return to the fresh nature, giving people a sense of tranquility.
Toilet situation: There are not many public toilets. If you climb to the top along the road, there are six public toilets located at the entrance archway, near the Lihua Rest, Phoenix Terrace, Butterfly Valley, Haohanpo Tourist Service Center, and Wutong Mountain TV Tower. The distance from the main entrance to the Lihua Rest is 3 kilometers, which is a long walk. It is recommended to use the toilet at the entrance before climbing.
Other suggestions:
(1) During severe weather conditions such as thunderstorms, typhoons, heavy fog, and during non-opening hours, tourists and vehicles are prohibited from entering the scenic area;
(2) There are many bends on the scenic area highway, and there are shortcuts on the slopes and cliffs of many bends. From a safety perspective, it is not recommended to climb these sections and do not enter the undeveloped areas of the scenic area;
(3) When climbing mountains, pay attention to safety, go with a companion, and do not go on deserted paths. The mountain is high and the road is steep, so go according to your ability;
(4) There are unmanned vending machines at various rest areas in the scenic area. The prices of beverages are relatively high. It is recommended that you prepare them at home in advance and bring plenty of drinking water.
(5) The slope of Wutong Mountain is quite steep. You may bring outdoor quick-drying clothes and pants, non-slip and breathable hiking shoes, knee pads, gloves, trekking poles, sun hats, sunscreen, mosquito repellent covers, mosquito repellents, first aid medicines, etc. according to your personal needs.
(6) Before climbing, you should know the weather conditions in advance. It is best to take the mainstream route and carefully choose some hiking trails to avoid taking the wrong route and wasting time.
(7) Choose Taishanjian Mountain Climbing. The route is shorter, there are many trees to provide shade, and you can also experience the most natural valley scenery. However, be careful to drink water in moderation and not drink too much, because there are no toilets on this route except at the starting point.
(8) Be sure to pay attention to the time when climbing. If you want to return before 6 pm, try to arrive at the entrance before 10 am. The whole climbing process takes about 4-6 hours.
Recommendation index: ★★★★★
I came to Shenzhen from Yunnan and chose Wutong Mountain on the first day of the weekend. It was a little harder than I thought. It was too far. I took a bus and changed buses for a total of 37 stops to the bottom of Changling. I started climbing Xiao Wutong from Lingyun Road, then went to Da Wutong, and climbed up Haohan Slope. I reached the top of the mountain at dusk. The sunset and mist were beautiful. It was pitch dark when I went down the mountain. I followed the road down the mountain.
If you come to Shenzhen, choose this place to climb up and see the distant view. Take bus No. 211 to the last stop, cross Wangtong Road and you will reach the north gate of the scenic area (free of charge).
We started climbing at 10 o'clock. We first passed by "Taishanjian". There is a trail here that leads directly to Dawutong, so we don't have to climb the Haohan slope. The road was slippery that day, so we had no choice but to take the road. The mountains were full of gullies, and we were soaked in a short while. My friend was still wearing sandals, but he didn't know that the round trip was nearly 20 kilometers.
In order to save time, many students climbed directly from the lower road to the higher road via the wild path.
We arrived at Phoenix Terrace at 12 o'clock. To the left, we went to Da Wutong (the highest peak in Shenzhen, our choice), and to the right, we went to Xiao Wutong (the mountain is not high, it is easier to walk). Later, we learned that Da Wutong can be climbed from Shatoujiao, which is much closer than Beidamen. At this time, the clouds increased, fog was generated, and visibility began to decrease. It is necessary to bring an umbrella in summer.
We arrived at the "Hero Slope" at 1:00. It was covered with dark clouds, fog, strong winds and heavy rain. Many tourists on the big platform were hesitant about whether it was necessary to climb to the top. We believed that the weather on the mountain would be changeable and it would clear up soon, so we started the most difficult two-kilometer journey. In fact, if there was a shuttle bus at the North Gate to take tourists here, it would greatly save tourists' time (eight kilometers) and physical strength. I bought a bowl of instant noodles (10 yuan) and five-spice eggs (5 yuan for two) on the platform, but I didn't think carefully about preparing some snacks.
Haohanpo is 1.1 kilometers long and is divided into several sections, all of which are stone steps with a slope of about 60 degrees. It took me an hour to climb this section and I bought a cucumber (5 yuan).
At 2 o'clock, we climbed up the Haohan Slope. There was still one kilometer to the top of the big sycamore. The slope of this section was much gentler than before. My friend was exhausted, so I climbed to the top alone in the last half. The scenery of this kilometer was extremely beautiful. Looking back from the steep ridge, it seemed like climbing a ladder to heaven. The clouds and mist from the sea formed a circle, surrounding the Yantian District. The top of the mountain was small, and it was difficult to find a place to stay. The signal would occasionally become cmhk (Mobile Hong Kong).
We arrived at the convenience store at the foot of the mountain at 6 o'clock. The whole journey took 8 hours. Fortunately, the rain stopped and the fog cleared up, otherwise the visibility would have been only three meters. Fate, it's worth it.
I recommend a bar called "We" in Wutongshan Art Town. As the only bar in the town, the owner is very artistic and the proprietress is very nice. It is a small bar with occasional singing. It is suitable for a drink.
Seeing the 360-degree view, covering all kinds of natural and cultural landscapes below 500 meters, as well as the stunning sunset and dusk, witnessing the night lights of Shenzhen, the 3-hour mountain climb is really worth it
Small sycamore, medium sycamore and large sycamore take about nine hours
I took the wrong road down the mountain and it took me five hours to get down.
There are drinks, fruits and snacks for sale along the way 😂 My feet hurt for four or five days after climbing the mountain, hahahaha. Climbing the mountain is fun for a while, but it hurts when I get home.
I climbed it because I thought it was high. There was nothing special about it. It rained a little when I was climbing, so I almost gave up. But I finally climbed it. The scenery was just so-so.
The mountains and rivers are vast, the spring breeze cannot blow away this sorrow, the wind and clouds gather suddenly in an instant!
Climb to the top of Pengcheng's first peak,
Being in the Tianshan Mountains on earth,
The road ahead is long and arduous.
There is more to climb in this lifetime than just Wutong Mountain.
Highly recommended, a good place to exercise and relax.
Oh my god, here it comes again. Didn’t I upload it once today?
There are still many people climbing the mountain, and it is a bit difficult.
Take the 211 bus to the terminal, then just follow the crowd, then you will arrive at the gate of Wutong Mountain, check in and take photos, walk up the big slope, then climb the stairs to the Hero Slope, climb the stairs again to the First Peak of Pengcheng, look at Hong Kong across the street, return the same way, and go down the mountain to take the bus. It was cloudy when I went there, and it was so cold when the wind blew, and then it was hot when the sun came out. It is recommended to wear a sweater. I arrived at the foot of the mountain at around 11 o'clock and took the bus home at 5 o'clock.
Before I went, I thought that the altitude was less than 1,000 meters, so it was not very easy. However, I chose a route that was one of the most difficult. From the north gate, I went up the Taishanjian to the Dawutong. The whole route was a staircase, and there were several sections that were close to vertical. It took more than two hours to climb to Fengmingquan with my hands and feet. I gave up when I saw that there were still 400 meters to go. I chose this route carefully. I only met two people throughout the whole journey. I didn’t see anyone in the first hour. It was really like seeing no one in front and no one behind. In fact, there is a road from the main gate directly to Haohanpo. If you come here for the first time, you should take the main road. The journey should be the shortest and the easiest to walk. There are also the most tourists. For safety and insurance reasons, please take the main road.
I walked for 5 hours and covered 16 km. My legs are broken.
It is the highest peak in Shenzhen, with good views. I passed by but did not climb the mountain.
There are different difficulty levels of roads to choose from on the mountain. If you want a flatter road, you can take the main road. If you want a more dangerous road, you can take the mature hiking trail. We chose a medium-difficulty trail with a view. There were many people when we set out, and after about 2 hours of climbing, we only met one or two people occasionally.
It was drizzling when we were going up the mountain, and it felt like a foggy forest.
Actually, I was already very tired after climbing for 3 hours, but I couldn't give up without seeing the magnificent view at the top of the mountain. With the desire to overlook Shenzhen from the top of the mountain, I persisted and finally successfully reached the top. However, the top of the mountain was covered with fog that day and I couldn't see anything. There were many people taking photos in front of the stone tablet "The First Peak of Pengcheng". Even if I waited for a long time, I couldn't take a panoramic photo without other people...
Before I went there, I asked many friends who had been there, and they all said it was difficult to reach the top. I went there with the mentality of giving it a try. Unexpectedly, I successfully reached the top. The scenery is average, not as good as Guangzhou Baishuizhai, but I went there just for the title of Pengcheng's No. 1 Peak.
The scenery is very nice, and the mountain climbing is tiring. But after climbing the mountain, you will find a different feeling.
A good place to go hiking on weekends. There are so many people, but you can still go.
Shenzhen's highest peak, you can go hiking to challenge yourself
As the first peak in Pengcheng, there are many people climbing the mountain every day, and the top of Da Wutong is even full of tourists on weekends. There are more than 30 known routes to the mountain on all four sides, including Taishanjian, Mashuifeng, Taohuayuan, Centennial Ancient Road, Luolongjie, Xikeng Left Branch, Xiutong Road, Bitong Road, Laohujian, Zhengkeng Right Branch, Feichang Wutong, Butterfly Valley (abandoned road), Yanziya, Xianhu and other routes.
The highest peak in Shenzhen, with an altitude of more than 900 meters, is not difficult to climb, so many people climb it on weekends. The top of the mountain is small, and it is difficult to find a place to stay. The scenery is actually not as good as the suburban mountains such as Qiniang Mountain. There are many streams on the way up, and the shade of the trees is relatively dense, so it is not hot to climb. Only when you are close to the top of the mountain, there is about half an hour of stone steps, which is more difficult. It is too far away from the sea, not suitable for climbing and watching the sea. There are too many people, and there are always people taking pictures. It takes about five or six hours to go up and down.
Climbing to the top of Wutong Mountain, you can overlook the whole Shenzhen with a broad view.
The weather was completely different each time I went up Wutong Mountain, which was quite interesting.
There are many routes to the top of Da Wutong, and you can climb up from all directions, but the view here at Haohanpo is the best because it is on a steep ridge and you can see the sea view of Yantian Port.
Except for a steep section at the top, the roads below are relatively gentle or stone steps for climbing. There are lakes and streams everywhere, which is very cool.
It is a great challenge for me. It gives me the opportunity to change my perception of fear of heights, overcome it, and move forward.
For me who likes sports, mountain climbing is essential. Only when you reach the top can you truly feel the atmosphere of nature and experience the hazy beauty.
First climb in Shenzhen in 2018, it felt pretty good!
It's very tiring, but it's worth it to see these things when you reach the top of the mountain.
It was my second time climbing Wutong Mountain. I can only say it was a special workout. I could also see some girls wearing skirts showing off their underwear. Girls must wear sneakers and pants when climbing mountains. I also met two men who didn't even bring water for their first climb. It was really embarrassing. The mountain is very high. Xiao Wutong Mountain and Da Wutong Mountain are separated. If both of you want to finish the climb, then those who are slow should start in the morning.
The scenery is very good. You can see several places in Hong Kong by holding the railing at a corner near Haohanpo. I don't know about the local characteristics, but the day we climbed the mountain was New Year's Eve, and there were still people going up the mountain in the evening. The bus is very convenient, but we went there by small yellow car. As for public services, there are some "shortcuts" opened by predecessors during the climb, which save time but are not safe, especially when going down the mountain. It is highly recommended not to take those small paths.
"The first peak in Pengcheng"! Wutong Mountain is definitely worth a visit for those who love mountain climbing! The first time I climbed up to Xiaowutong Mountain, I felt sorry for it. Later, I climbed to the top of the mountain in November this year (about 4-5 hours) and felt refreshed. It seemed that I was so close to the sky~
We did not go down the mountain along the original road, but climbed over the hills and walked down the stairs from the other side. It is recommended not to take that road if you plan to go down the mountain after 15:00. We started to go down the mountain at about 16:00 and did not get down the mountain until after 19:00. It took a long time to get a taxi at the foot of the mountain. The driver told us that we walked from the east to the west step by step.
The route we chose is not far in terms of kilometers, only about 1.7 kilometers, but the slope is really steep. In some places, I personally feel that it has reached 60 or 70 degrees, so it is still very tiring to climb. Basically, there are many people taking a break every time you walk a short distance, and most of them are young people. You can imagine that it usually takes more than ten minutes to walk a distance of 1.7 kilometers on flat ground. We walked for more than three hours.
Scenery: Before climbing up the Haohan Slope, there is nothing special about the scenery. It is basically just roads, streams and large areas of green plants.
However, it is indeed a good opportunity to get close to nature on the weekend, especially the cool stream water that is rare in the city.
The first peak of Pengcheng has a challenging climb and the most difficult descent. It is great.
Free! Beautiful! More beautiful than you can imagine! The forest trail is quiet and comfortable, with the sound of water and green trees. It takes about an hour to climb to the top, which is very interesting! The first peak of Pengcheng is surrounded by smoke and clouds, as if it is at the end of the clouds! It is so beautiful that it is beyond words! On the Haohan Slope, the sunset is full of roads. It is worth it! The sky is full of colorful clouds, full of poetry. The sun sets in the west, and tourists go down the mountain on the Haohan Road. The sky gradually gets dark, and then it is completely dark. The winding mountain road is long and boring. I am tired and exhausted, and finally arrived. Goodbye Wutong! See you later!
Everyone must go to the top of the mountain, Haohan Mountain, in Da Wutong! It's really great! It feels like being in the clouds! It is recommended to go in the morning. The mist on the way is like a spray spa on the face, which is super comfortable! When you go in the morning, you still have to wear a hat to prevent water droplets! Take good sun protection measures at noon! The top of the mountain is very sunny! As for food and drinks, it is actually not necessary to buy them in advance. There are many convenience stores and supermarkets after getting off the bus at the station. It is not expensive. Luanquan water is generally 2 yuan a bottle, which is affordable. There are also people selling pineapples, cucumbers, sugarcane and other fruits every section of the mountain. To be honest, they are not expensive at all! They are usually three yuan! It’s just that the candied haws on the top of the mountain are not recommended to buy, they are too stale.
The best location. In addition, the scenic area is rich in waterscapes. Mashuijian is formed by the confluence of 6 mountain streams. The water flows all year round, especially in spring and summer, and the water is crystal clear. The shade-loving plants grow luxuriantly in the valleys on both sides, and the species are rich. Due to the large difference in the mountain terrain and the undulating water flow, a rich water quality landscape such as waterfalls, springs, rock pools, etc. is formed. Going upstream along the stream from the bottom of the mountain, whether playing by the stream or passing through the dense forest, the gurgling sound of water that is sometimes loud and sometimes soft, sometimes slow and sometimes fast can be heard in the ears. For tourists who have lived in the downtown for a long time, it is like "listening to the fairy music and the ears are temporarily clear", giving people a sense of emptiness and returning to nature. The planning considers improving the service facilities of the mountain trail to facilitate tourists to visit without destroying the natural mountain as much as possible.
The steps are well maintained, the public toilets are also very good, and there is even hand sanitizer. The scenery is also very good.
Wutong Mountain Scenic Area is very large, with many routes. After research, it is still necessary to go from the North Gate. Soon after entering the gate, you can see the entrance to Taishanjian. Listen to the stream all the way and enjoy the natural oxygen bar. It is not just as simple as layers of steps. It is more like an adventure. Some steeper places require hands and feet. Since you are heading for the big Wutong, it is recommended that the elderly and those with children and dogs choose carefully. What is more interesting is that there are two roads halfway. Choose the left side to go straight to the big Wutong to avoid the hero slope, but after 3,000 meters of mountain road, the physical fitness will drop significantly, and the continuous steps should stop and rest. After playing on the top of the mountain for a while, I want to go down the mountain by a different way, so I went down from the hero slope. Fortunately, I didn’t go this way when I came up, and then took the main road to Xiao Wutong to take a look, and went down the mountain in the direction of Yanxian Lake and Liantang. There are many places to eat at the foot of Beidamen Mountain. The scenic area is free and the vegetation is very rich. Food, fruit and drinks are available every section along the way. It is acceptable to be a little more expensive. It is recommended to travel light and bring a small amount of water and food.
More than 900 meters, I thought it was not difficult, I underestimated it. The steep slopes require both hands and feet, and there are many continuous uphill sections, so I can only stop and rest from time to time. Different from the mountains and waters in Zhejiang, Taishanjian really carved a road from the top of the mountain, and went down along the grooves between the rocks. You can overlook Shenzhen from the top and see Yantian Port, lush islands and blue waters.
It takes five hours to go up and down the mountain. I recommend that you take the steep slope when going up. It is super exciting and fun.
I went there yesterday. There weren't many people. It was already 11:30 when I arrived at the entrance. I felt a bit disadvantaged all the way up the mountain. I heard that your legs will hurt for a week after climbing up. I felt it was very challenging. I kept walking up the main road. The most impressive thing was the Hero's Slope. The climb up was really steep. The closer I got, the more excited I became. When I reached the top of the mountain, it was very cold. It was warmer under the trees, and I could meet many fellow villagers. There were also two big brothers drinking and celebrating at the top of the mountain. I wonder if I would lose weight if I climbed up three times a week. It really exercises my physical strength. It is great to climb alone while listening to music, or with a group of friends.
The roads in Luohu are narrow and congested on weekends, and many people go to the eastern part of Shenzhen for sightseeing. As the first peak in Shenzhen, Wutong Mountain has many hiking routes. The scenery is really beautiful, with mountains and water.
The only thing I found magical was that there were so many things on the top of the mountain. I was curious how they were transported up there. It was my first time there, and we mostly walked on the road all the way to Xiao Wutong. The last climb, Haohanpo, was all steps, which was a little difficult. Everything else was fine, and the scenery was just average.
The downhill walk is the Wind Bell Trail, which is full of steps. If I go up the mountain from here, I guess I can't climb it. It feels a bit like Qiniang Mountain.
The scenery at the top of the mountain is particularly good, the view is great! The scenery is most charming in the evening!
In the autumn of October 23, 2017, I walked up the mountain from the north gate of Wutong Mountain along the Taishanjian Mountain Road, occasionally taking some shortcuts (mud) roads, and followed the crowd up the mountain. Wutong Mountain is surrounded by mountains. To reach the main peak, Da Wutong, you have to make many detours and finally climb two sections of heroic slopes to reach the first peak of Pengcheng. It was a clear and cool autumn day with excellent views. Looking around, the sky was blue, the sea was vast, the buildings were small, the wind was blowing, and the sweat on my back instantly cooled down.
Some suggestions
1 Route: Take M455 to the terminal, along the muddy jungle road, no sun, only one road goes up to the main peak Da Wutong, go down the Haohan slope, go to the fork in the direction of Xiao Wutong, watch the sunset there, continue to Xianhu Botanical Garden, and take bus 363 back (there are buses before 21:00). Advantages: You won't walk the same route again, and it's faster to get to the main peak. In addition, people with poor physical strength are not recommended to walk this way.
2. Duration: 5 hours for the whole climbing
3 Bring some bread and water up the mountain. Of course, you can also buy them when you get to the mountain.
4 Equipment, sun protection clothing, and gloves.
It took 10 hours to start from Nanshan Station, reach Wutong Mountain, climb to the top, descend the mountain, and return home.
It took 6 hours to go from the foot of the mountain to the top. It was cloudy, but also hot. I was very excited to climb the mountain and wanted to know the view from the top of the mountain as soon as possible.
I predict it will be more beautiful on foggy days, but I probably won’t go hiking again because my toenails were black for several months after I got home 😂
It's OK, but my whole body hurts, especially my butt. I won't go there again~~~
Wutong Mountain is a national scenic spot and the highest peak in Shenzhen. It has nice scenery and is not difficult to climb. It is very special to overlook the whole city when you reach the top. In addition, Wutong Mountain is also very suitable for hikers to climb, and there are many routes to choose from.
I go to the mountain for morning exercises every morning. When I reach the top of Da Wutong, I can overlook Shenzhen.
It's so high that my feet hurt for a few days after climbing up. The scenery on the top of the mountain is very beautiful. You can overlook Shenzhen and Hong Kong. If you are going to go, you should prepare food in advance. Food on the mountain is more expensive.
We started climbing the mountain at around 3pm and reached the top at around 8pm.
I climbed up Xiao Wutong and successfully reached the top. The view was pretty good.
Wutong Mountain is located in the eastern part of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, spanning Luohu and Yantian Districts, including East Lake Park, Xianhu Botanical Garden and part of Shatoujiao Forest Farm. It is an urban suburban natural scenic spot with mountains and natural vegetation as the main landscape. The scenic spot is close to the prosperous urban area, facing Dapeng Bay in the South China Sea, connected to the mountains in the New Territories of Hong Kong, and connected by streams. It has a unique geographical location among domestic scenic spots.
It is definitely a good place to breathe oxygen and cleanse the lungs. You should stretch more. It is still very refreshing after the whole walk.
The scenery is beautiful. The mountains are high. It took a whole day to go up and down the mountain. My legs hurt for a week after I came down the mountain.
The night view on the top of the mountain is great, and you can take great photos. You must bring a tripod. You just need to go down the mountain at night, but if you have a radio or a stereo, you won’t feel lonely on the way down.
Wutong Mountain is 944 meters above sea level and is the highest peak in Shenzhen. Because it is located in the urban area, it is the first choice for Shenzhen people to climb. There are many routes to the mountain, and it takes two and a half hours to go up the mountain and one and a half hours to go down the mountain.
Wutong Mountain is the remnant of Lianhua Mountain and was historically one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Xin'an". From here, you can overlook the Shenzhen Reservoir in the urban area of Shenzhen to the west, the mountains and streams of the New Territories of Hong Kong to the south, and the Yantian Port to the east. Looking southeast, you can see the vast sea of Dapeng Bay and the beautiful Dapeng Peninsula. The main peak of Wutong Mountain, which belongs to the scenic area, is 943.7 meters above sea level and is the highest peak in Shenzhen.

As the highest peak in Shenzhen, you can climb it. The Hero Slope near the top is full of steps, which is very tiring. The scenery along the way is nice, but the "Heavenly Lake" on the top of the mountain is very deceptive, just a dirty puddle. The symbol of the peak is a big stone with the words "The First Peak of Pengcheng". If you want to take pictures, you have to fight for a spot.
It was quite high. I wanted to give up halfway, but they still insisted on reaching the top. I bought them a medal as an encouragement for them to persevere to the top, haha!
I went to Wutong Mountain with an outdoor group. We walked the dirt road at the back of the mountain. On the way back, we walked part of the scenic route. Looking at the pictures online, it seems that the scenic route is more beautiful than the back of the mountain. I think I need to walk it again. However, the back of the mountain road focuses on exercise rather than scenery. Occasionally, there are small surprises, such as when I encountered the hanging bell flower (Peach Heart Bee)
Wutong Mountain, the "No. 1 Peak in Pengcheng", is my favorite! Located in the east of Shenzhen, facing Dapeng Bay, the scenery is famous for its beauty and tranquility. The way up the mountain is not monotonous at all. There are many flowers and plants, as well as mountain streams and waterfalls. After a sip of mountain spring water, you will feel full of energy! Enjoy the influence of negative oxygen ions! The park is large, and it takes about half a day to climb the mountain. You can overlook the Dapeng New District from the top of the mountain. Among them, Da Wutong Mountain is particularly worth recommending. On the side of the Haohan Slope, you can see the ever-changing clouds and mists floating between the mountains and valleys. The scenery is amazing, and the name "Fog Locking Wutong" is well-deserved (you have to try your luck). Friends who want to take landscape blockbusters can go for a visit, and Wutongshan Village at the foot of the mountain can stay.

Wutong Mountain is located in the eastern part of Shenzhen City. The main peak is 943.7 meters above sea level, making it the highest peak in Shenzhen. Wutong Mountain is a good place for mountaineering in the suburbs of Shenzhen. The air is still very fresh, the vegetation is dense, and the scenery is also very good. The fog is too thick, and you can't see much scenery along the way, but it's very cool. When the wind blows, it feels super cool. There are people selling water and snacks along the way, but it will be a little expensive. You can also bring your own snacks and water. It takes four hours to go up the mountain and three hours to go down the mountain. Haha, it's terrible. My legs are sore for a few days after I came back. I will go again when it's sunny.
The scenery on the mountain is very good. You can only reach the top of the mountain after climbing the Haohan Slope. The scenery will not disappoint you.
Wutong Mountain, as the highest mountain in Shenzhen, requires climbing over mountains and crossing ridges to reach the top. Don’t worry if you don’t have enough water. In the valley, you can hear the sound of water. If you follow the sound, you can find a mountain spring. The spring water can be drunk directly. It flows out from the mountain and is very clean. There are also small fish in the small stream where the spring water falls.
[cp]Changling, Shenzhen Xiaowutong Lingyun Road, Xiaowutong, Haohanpo, Dawutong, Pengcheng First Peak, Hongfa Temple, Xianhu Botanical Garden. Yesterday's journey was thirty miles. ***6NeVM[/cp][cp]Indescribable stunning beauty. //@The meaning of the poem to you: Shenzhen Wutong Mountain, highly recommended. Five stars. There is some sweetness in the air on the mountain. The purest air.
It was really exhausting, and there wasn't much scenery to see after you got up there. Just treat it as exercise.
It is recommended to go to Da Wutong from Taishanjian + Haohanpo, which is short, with good scenery and many shade trees. The whole journey takes about 4-6 hours. You can reach the top of the first peak of Pengcheng in 3 hours, but the winding mountain road down the mountain is too slow. It is recommended to go as early as possible in the morning when driving, because the Wangtong Road will be severely congested on the way back after dark.
The landscape in the area is characterized by its sparseness, beauty, seclusion and spaciousness. Among them, "Wutong Mist and Cloud" was rated as one of the new eight scenic spots in Shenzhen by the Shenzhen Municipal Government.
The majestic mountains and the ever-changing clouds complement each other with the vast mountains and sea of Dapeng Bay; the mountains have deep streams and lush vegetation, and it is a shelter and resource base for rare animals and plants in the Pearl River Delta region.
Wutong Mountain gradually rises from west to east, with three main peaks, namely Xiao Wutong, Doufutou and Da Wutong, which are historically known as the "Three Peaks". The scenic area is divided into eight scenic areas: the main entrance scenic area, Fenggu Mingqin scenic area, Wutong Yanyun scenic area, Biwu Qifeng scenic area, ecological protection area, closed mountain afforestation area, Donghu Park scenic area, and Xianhu Botanical Garden scenic area.
A great challenge
Wutong Mountain, the highest mountain in Shenzhen, is just as its name suggests. The recommended route to the mountain is Taishanjian.
The high altitude is challenging. I personally think it is more suitable to climb in spring or winter. Friends who rarely climb mountains should prepare some body reserves before climbing. In addition, you should prepare enough snacks and water. If you are not familiar with the route, it is best to follow the main road to avoid getting lost and causing danger.
I personally think that the scenery during the Wutong Mountain climb is not particularly beautiful. It is mainly to see the mountains and flowers. It is still good to go with friends. Go at 10 o'clock in the morning and you can go down the mountain around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Then go to Xianhu. You can go to Donghu Park first. Many people in Donghu have picnics there with their families. It is also a good place for weekend gatherings. It is impossible to visit the entire Wutong Mountain Scenic Area in one day. You can focus on playing
I think that having lived in Shenzhen for 2 years, this is a place worth visiting. Whether you go there when you are frustrated or proud, you will have different feelings (of course, it varies from person to person. Those who like challenges can go, but those who are afraid of tiredness and hardship should not go). Of course, it is more suitable to go in autumn or spring, preferably on a sunny day. I went there in November, and the weather was also very good that day. The scenery was really beautiful. I went there when I was frustrated. At that time, when I was on the last stage of the hero slope, the feeling of encouraging myself step by step was really good. I also saw the beautiful sunset and dusk when I climbed up. At that time, I really felt that this trip was worth it. (But it was really tiring and a very hard day).
