The only attraction on Weizhou Island that requires ticket inspection is Crocodile Mountain Volcano Geological Park, which means that this is the only attraction on the island that requires ticket inspection, and you can only enter the scenic area once. Other attractions do not require ticket inspection and have no restrictions on the number of times. The Crocodile Mountain Tourist Service Center is about 2 kilometers away from the main entrance of Crocodile Mountain Volcano Park. It can be understood as the starting point of protecting the ecology, but this is a bit forced and makes you feel bad; secondly, there is only a narrow road in the scenic area, and it is all stairs. Why not consider making it wider? It was so blocked during the Spring Festival that it was very easy to get out of danger...see pictures! Third, the scenic area is known as a "national" geological park. Except for the ticket checkers and sellers, I have never seen staff to maintain order, and this is also the case with so many people during the Spring Festival. The service in the scenic area needs to be improved! Three stars for the scenery!

After entering Crocodile Mountain, you actually go around the peninsula of Crocodile Mountain. Go down the cliff on the left side of the lighthouse, and then go down to the east side of the Crocodile Mountain Peninsula, just facing the South Bay. Go all the way around the west side of the peninsula and come up from the right side of the lighthouse. There is only one road, so don't be afraid of going wrong. The route around the peninsula here is very similar to the section on Wuzhizhou Island in Sanya where you can only take a battery car. The difference is that it is fully open here. You can slowly walk to enjoy the beautiful scenery. It is worth spending half a day to take a good look around, which is much more generous than Wuzhizhou Island! There is a large platform near Moon Bay for easy take-off. The walking path is seen along the coast. Compared with the same section of Wuzhizhou Island that does not allow tourists to enter for free, there are too many generous things here! No one will care if the aircraft takes off here, and it is much better than Sanya from the shooting angle!

Because we were traveling with a lot of people and luggage, the electric sightseeing car we booked in advance was waiting for us at the exit of the pier. We were first taken to the hotel to put our luggage, and then we rushed to the Crocodile Mountain Scenic Area. The entire Weizhou Island is about 25 square kilometers, which is still very large. Transportation mainly relies on renting electric motorcycles or electric sightseeing cars. Weizhou Island is the largest island in Guangxi. It was formed by volcanic eruptions. Nanwan Crocodile Hill Scenic Area includes Crocodile Hill, Colorful Beach, Red Square, Nanwan Ocean Sports Park and part of the sea area, with a total area of 3.8 square kilometers. Nanwan Crocodile Hill Scenic Area is famous at home and abroad for its beautiful island scenery, typical volcanic geological relics, peculiar sea erosion micro-landscape, rich ecological tourism resources and comfortable and pleasant climate.

You can't drive your own electric car here, so you have to go to the visitor center to transfer to a tour bus. It seems to be the most formal attraction on the island. It is also quite large and can be played for more than an hour. There will be some climbing, so it is suitable to come in the morning to cool down. It is a geological park, where you can learn a lot about the various landforms formed by volcanic eruptions.

Crocodile Mountain Volcano Park is the only attraction in the entire Weizhou Island that requires a ticket to enter. We bought the tickets for the attraction together with the round-trip boat tickets, so when we get here we only need to swipe our ID card to enter the park.

It is not recommended to go with children. There are wooden stairs going up and down. My child is four and a half years old and walked by himself the whole way. If he is younger, he can only be carried. There is only a small beach where you can go down, and you can't swim. Coconuts are 25 yuan each. You must eat and drink enough before entering the scenic area, and bring enough water. I came to the island on the second day, but I didn't apply sunscreen on my chest and got sunburned directly. It is recommended to touch up the makeup throughout the whole trip. The child was also tanned into black coal, but fortunately he didn't get sunburned. I didn't see the crater. There were bugs everywhere where there were stones. When I stepped on them, the bugs followed. It felt a bit like a ghost blowing out the light.

I arrived here on the 2nd of the May Day holiday in 2019. There were a lot of tourists. The trail down the crater was crowded with people, and the rocks around the crater were full of people, so it is better to avoid the peak period to feel the good mood of tourism. It is better to walk from the entrance of the tourist bus on the roadside to the gate of the scenic spot. Along the way, the wooden plank road is full of flowers and butterflies are flying.

A must-see attraction on Weizhou Island, this is the place with a 98 ticket. The geological features are very unique and the walking distance is long, so remember to wear shoes that fit.

It takes about an hour and a half to walk to Crocodile Mountain. The road here is a bit difficult to walk, so it is recommended to wear flat shoes.

If we say one more word in return, she will start to scold us, saying all kinds of ugly, embarrassing, and low-quality.

Walking through the dense forest plank road, maybe it was too early, there were few tourists, and the slippery road surface left our lonely reflection. Mosquitoes and flies were rampant in the rainforest, and short clothes and skirts just became their mobile dining tables. After a while, they were covered with red envelopes, scratching all the way, and had no time to see the scenery. I took a look at the lighthouse, the ancient artillery, and so on and ran away, but the road built with blocks condensed from the corpses of coral polyps made me stop for a long time. Along the way, I saw these blocks everywhere, and some people worried that this species would become extinct in the long run. Finally, I went down to the beach, and with the sea breeze blowing, I was finally not bitten by mosquitoes. It is said that it is best to go to the Weizhou Island Crater Geopark when it is windy, and the feeling of the stormy waves will make people never forget it. It is recommended to take the scenic area battery car to the mountain. It costs 30 yuan to go back and forth. Because we didn't know, we were stopped by the villagers to collect the battery car parking fee. We were told to go up along the plank road. We thought it was the entrance to the scenic area, so we started climbing. As a result, we didn't reach the ticket check place for a long time. I was really doubting my life. Finally, I found out that there were several plank roads going up the mountain. We didn't go to the main gate, so we didn't know that there was an electric car to send us to the door. After entering the scenic area, we started the journey up and down the mountain. The child couldn't walk anymore. He kept cheering and encouraging all the way. No wonder he said he would play for 3-4 hours. If I didn't want to popularize volcanic geological landforms and sea erosion rocks for my children, I really didn't want to come in the summer.

There were villagers selling old popsicles on the road for 5 yuan each. Crocodile Mountain is a must-visit, it's really beautiful! But it's also very sunny. You have to go down the mountain road to the seaside plank road first, and then go up the mountain. It's a one-way road in one direction.

It's not particularly recommended because it's a long way to go, but there are sightseeing buses, so it's okay!

Some guides say that you can walk to the entrance in more than 10 minutes, saving the 20 yuan per person sightseeing bus fare. Comment: (My perspective) I went there in August, it was too hot. I took a small bus to the entrance of the scenic area. After entering, there were green trees all the way to the seaside~the crater, beautiful reefs. It only took two or three hours. The water vending machine usually costs 10 yuan per bottle.

Beihai is really beautiful. Remember to bring sunscreen before going there, as the ultraviolet rays are too strong.

When you arrive at the ticket hall of the Geopark, you can choose to walk to the scenic area or buy a ticket and take a shuttle bus. There are beverage vending machines everywhere.

This is my favorite place on Weizhou Island. If you want to see its beauty, you need to walk up a long flight of stairs. But when you reach the crater, it is worth it. The clear sea water + the weather was cloudy when I went there, and it was extremely comfortable. If you go to Weizhou Island but don’t check in at the Volcano Park, it’s like going to Weizhou Island in vain.

The sea in the volcanic geological park is a different scene, with a different kind of grandeur. The route to the scenic spot is not very long, but the route shown on the ticket is winding and feels very long.

Because the Crocodile Mountain Scenic Spot wants to make malicious profits, any vehicle must park one kilometer away from the scenic spot, and then walk one kilometer or choose their tour bus for 20 yuan per trip, 40 yuan per person for round trip. It is strongly recommended to walk to the scenic spot. Gaode Map tells us that it is really only 983 meters away.

At noon on July 28, I took a nice nap, got up at 15:30, and took a bus to Crocodile Mountain Volcano Park (remember to bring your ticket and ID card. I didn't bring my ID card, but they let me in).
