We arrived at the top of the mountain and stayed there the night before. It was very nice. The sky was full of stars, the water was flowing next to the inn, the cabin was warm and cool, the inn owner was very nice, and there were two junior brothers and sisters who were helping the travel volunteers there to play light graffiti with us. The next day, we got up at 5:30 and climbed to the No. 1 viewing platform to watch the sunrise. Unfortunately, the dark clouds blocked the view, but it still shocked me. I think I have understood the meaning of travel.

Longji Terraces are divided into Jinkeng (Dazhai) Yao Terraces Scenic Area and Ping'an Zhuang Terraces Scenic Area. Longji Terraces in the usual sense refer to Longji Ping'an Zhuang Terraces, which are also the earliest developed terraces. The terraces are distributed between 300 meters and 1,100 meters above sea level, with a maximum slope of 50 degrees. The road to the terraces is almost always winding, rising to about 600 meters above sea level, and reaching 880 meters above sea level when you reach the terraces. Buy a ticket to enter, and then drive 11 kilometers to an intersection. To the left is the Ping'an Zhuang Terraces - Longji Terraces. To the right is the Jinkeng Terraces. Decided to go to Longji Terraces first, and then to Longsheng Terraces. The five-kilometer winding road to Longji Terraces can be driven all the way to the top. A parking fee of 10 yuan is charged, and parking is on the roadside.

I came here by bus from Yangshuo. Since the terminal was Jinkeng parking lot, I searched for an inn in Jinkeng online. I wanted to find a place with a good view and a reasonable price. So I chose the newly opened Yaomi Viewing Hotel. The boss was very nice. He asked about the arrival time in advance and drove to the parking lot to pick us up. The hotel is at the entrance of the No. 3 Jinfoding Observation Deck, which is very convenient. The Jinkeng Terraces may not have a strong commercial atmosphere because they were developed relatively late, and the folk customs are very simple. In addition to bamboo tube chicken, bamboo tube rice, oil tea, stuffed tofu, spring water chicken, there are also rice wine and fruit wine brewed by locals, which are worth a try. I suggest you stay here for one night, don't rush. Only when you calm down can you feel the beauty of the changing curves of the terraces. The beauty is not only the terraces, but also the distant mountains, bamboo forests and villages shrouded in clouds and mist.

The scenery is superb. The rice seedlings were just planted in mid-June, and you can still see the water, but the weather is not very good. Although the journey is long, it is still worth it. Go down the Golden Buddha Peak and walk along the Eagle's Wings side. Except for the first fork on the right, the rest are basically on the left. It takes about an hour to go down the mountain

We encountered a heavy rainstorm. We were worried that we would not be able to come the night before. We waited at the ticket office for half an hour because of a landslide on the road. We thought we could not come up. Later, the road was cleared. We took the cable car up the mountain for safety reasons and walked down the mountain. It was really beautiful. When we reached the top of the mountain, it turned into light rain and a little fog. The mountains were in the clouds and the clouds were in the mountains. It was like a fairyland! The driver said that this kind of weather (light rain) is the best, with a little fog and no view blocking!

It's a place where you can easily take good photos, you must go and see it.

Jinkeng and Ping'an are very close, and it takes 20 minutes to drive. There are people checking tickets at the entrance of the scenic area. I quickly asked if I could see it. The old man looked at the sky and said "yes" without hesitation. This answer made us happy. There is a cable car from Jinkeng Dazhai to Jinfoding, which costs 100 yuan per person for a round trip. Before buying the ticket, a local Yao aunt came to chat with us and told us to take us to the Thousand-Layer Ladder Observation Deck on another hill, which is more beautiful than Jinfoding. It costs a total of 100 yuan. Seeing that she was very sincere, we decided to believe her for a while. At worst, we can come back and take the cable car. As a result, the aunt was still very reliable. We saw the magnificent terraces in the gaps between the mist. It was really God's blessing that made our trip complete. Later, because the children insisted on taking the cable car, we went to Jinfoding again, but we didn't see anything because of the heavy fog.

We chose to take the cable car up and down. The cable car passed directly above the terraced fields, and we could overlook the panoramic view of the terraced fields from a high altitude. It was super spectacular. The green terraced fields were really pleasing to the eyes. The cable car can take you to the highest point to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the terraced fields. For me, who saw the terraced fields for the first time, it was really spectacular.

The sunrise at 6:40 was not as beautiful as expected, and not as spectacular as the sunrise at Huangshan. However, the sight of the sun shining on the terraces after it came out was very beautiful and spectacular. Different places show different sunrises to different people with different moods. Since the children did not like watching the sunrise, we went to Observation Deck No. 2 to see the terraces after the sun came out. The guide said that the sunrise could be seen from Observation Deck No. 1 and 2, but it turned out that what we saw was just the sun rising and climbing over the top of the mountain. If you really want to see the sunrise, it is more beautiful to go to a higher place.

Jinkeng Dazhai is the only terraced field with a cable car and is also the largest and most spectacular.

The cable car only goes from the village parking lot to the Golden Buddha Peak. The famous scenic spot is the No. 1 viewing platform, Xishan Shaole.

The primary school in the village attracted me for some reason. Maybe it was because there were too many innocent expectations here, and it was the origin of too many children's dreams. The scenery of Jinkeng Dazhai is much more magnificent than that of Ping'an Village. It is recommended to take the cable car for a better view.

It was raining when I went there, and it was heavy rain. There was heavy fog in the rain, which created a different kind of scenery. It was very, very beautiful.

Jinkeng is the largest and has the most visitors, so it is normal to get stuck during holidays. In comparison, Jinkeng has the most spectacular scenery. If time is limited and you can only go to one terraced field, then Jinkeng Dazhai is the first choice. There is a cable car to the terraced fields in Jinkeng Dazhai. Through our previous personal experience at the Ping'an Dazhai terraced fields, we unanimously decided not to do stupid things and just take the cable car up. The waiting time for the cable car is about 1 and a half hours (during the National Day). Fortunately, the line is always moving, so it is not particularly torturous (compared to the Yangshuo bamboo raft queue).

When we went to Jinkeng Hongyao Rice Terraces, we hiked up the mountain from the path on the left side of the scenic spot gate, and went down the mountain from the path on the left side of the highest viewing point, Jinfoding. The route we chose to go up and down the mountain was really correct. If you choose to go up the mountain by cable car, you will lose a lot of fun hiking down the mountain on the right. The way up the mountain on the left is almost all along the path cultivated along the rice fields. There are no trees to block the view. You can take pictures and enjoy the scenery while going up the mountain. The way down the mountain on the right is really a mountain road, with mostly trees on both sides, and you can hardly see any terraces.

Remember, if you want to hike up the Jinkeng Hongyao Terraces, take the road on the left side of the scenic spot gate. At the Jinfoding Observation Deck, you can rent ethnic costumes for 10 yuan a set, and they will also help take photos.

On the first day, we visited Ping'an Zhuangzhai Terraces, so we were a little tired and prepared to take a good look at Jinkeng Hongyao Terraces the next morning. So the next morning, after we packed up and didn't even have breakfast, we couldn't wait to enjoy the beautiful scenery. I really like the feeling of the golden mountains. I really want to drift away and wander like this.

Jinkeng Terraces is the highest scenic spot in the scenic area. There is a cable car going up and down the No. 3 Observation Deck (Golden Buddha Peak), which is most suitable for us with both young and old. At the same time, you can watch the sunrise and sunset at this scenic spot, so it is very popular among photographers. Basically, all the photos are taken casually. It's so beautiful. If you don't come here, you will definitely regret it.

The temperature on the terraces is much colder than that in Yangshuo. Don't open the windows when you sleep at night because there are many mosquitoes on the mountain.

The terraced fields scenic area basically provides catering in all the guesthouses where you stay. They are farm-style, with free-range chickens and self-grown vegetables. It is recommended to try bamboo chicken, bamboo rice and bamboo fish, as well as rice noodles and sour beans for breakfast. This time, I was lucky enough to eat snails in Tiantou Village. This also depends on the timing. There will be no snails if there is no water in the field. We stayed in Dazhai, Liangqi Mountain House. You can drive directly to the door. You can see the whole terraced field from the window. It is clear at a glance, including No. 2 Thousand-Layered Ladder, No. 1 Xishan Shaole, No. 3 Golden Buddha Peak, and you can also watch the sunrise and sunset. Speaking of sunset and sunrise, I am not very obsessed with this. My mentality is to follow the fate of the Buddha. The scenic area is surrounded by mountains. The sun is already high when it comes out and sets early, and it is often covered by clouds, so just do it casually. This time I saw a lot of inns and hotels under construction. Tiantouzhai is close to No. 1, and close to No. 2 and No. 3. Many people choose to live in Tiantouzhai, but be prepared to carry luggage up the mountain. Although there are roads (both cement roads and dirt roads) directly to the top of the mountain, if you want to see the scenery, you have to pay a little price. Personally, I think it is a good choice to stay in Dazhai, visit No. 2, No. 1, and then go to No. 3. There are only two inns next to Shanfang Inn, which will be quieter and the environment will be clean. ps It is rich in kiwis, monk fruit and passion fruit.

I had done some research before coming here, and I knew there were several terraces of different sizes. The Jinkeng Terrace was the largest, with No. 2 Thousand-Layered Ladder, No. 1 Xishan Shaole, and No. 3 Jinfoding. Picture 1 was a panoramic view taken at the inn. No. 2 is on the left, No. 1 is on the right, and No. 3 is on the far right. No. 3 is the highest and there is a cable car up, which costs 100 yuan for a round trip and 55 yuan for a single floor. By the way, the entrance ticket to the scenic spot is 95 yuan and you have to buy it before entering the mountain. You can get a 10 yuan discount with a Guangdong ID card [snickering]. You still need to drive 1 hour on the mountain road to reach the scenic spot.

As mentioned above, we stayed in Dazhai, close to No. 2, and headed straight to No. 2 Thousand-Layer Ladder in the morning. After all, it was mountain climbing. People with poor physical strength may need to rest constantly, and their breathing is unstable, so they should exercise more [snickering]. We kept taking photos when we arrived at the viewing platform. We did not choose to go down the mountain, but walked naturally to the top of the mountain road and walked all the way in the direction of No. 1. We occasionally asked for directions on the way, and we reached No. 1 viewing platform in this way, and started taking photos again.

I ate snails in Tiantouzhai at noon, and then prepared to go down the mountain. I originally wanted to walk back along the road, but I accidentally walked on a small path, a cobblestone road paved with small stones. I walked all the way and found that it led directly to No. 2, which is equivalent to a middle belt around the mountain. The scenery here is better and it is a different visual experience, very good!

After a short rest at the inn in the afternoon, we set off to No. 3. The plan was to take the cable car. I wanted to take the cable car up and down, but my group members were lazy, so I had to take the cable car back and forth, which took more than 20 minutes per level, and walked slowly. In fact, No. 1 and No. 2 are more interesting, but No. 3 is higher, and climbing the mountain may be more fun.

Some people may like to see the golden color of mature rice, which they find more spectacular. However, green also has its own charm. It is full of vitality and fresh air. Moreover, it can be remembered for the next time when you watch the irrigation and harvest. Isn’t that also a kind of happiness?

I went there in May, which is considered the off-season. There were very few people, which was great! The terraced fields are really spectacular. If you are physically fit, I suggest you climb the mountain. It feels very comfortable to climb slowly and take pictures along the way. The service facilities are not particularly complete, but from another perspective, this is how the original flavor is preserved! Recommended!

Longji Terraces-Jinkeng Dazhai, the ticket price is 85 yuan due to Guangdong ID card, and the chartered car from Dazhai parking lot is 150 yuan/unit to the No. 2 viewing platform, with beautiful scenery.

The terraces are not easy to walk on, so you must wear light shoes. The sunlight is strong during the day, so you must take good sun protection. The temperature difference is large at night, so you must wear long clothes and take good precautions against mosquitoes.

It turns out that for young people who come to travel, taking the cable car down the mountain is boring and shameful, and I was actually frightened by the "long" journey of several hours mentioned by the tour guide. I thought it would be better to find a place to sit quietly. I hiked down the mountain with several group members, and then climbed another mountain to find the inn where we stayed tonight.

It is very shocking to come to Longji Rice Terraces, but the mountain road there is very winding and bad. Seeing the whole view of the terraces is like a visual feast. If you were born in a bustling city with heavy traffic, you will definitely like it. Secondly, I have to say that I really like Yu Jian Inn, I like Pan Pan, and their happy family. It is great. This is another spontaneous trip three years after graduation. There is no plan, no idea, just tired of work and the impetuousness of the city. When I walked here, I felt very peaceful, just like the beach after low tide. I feel lucky when I see the shells on the soles of my feet. We agreed to travel together once a year until we have no youth to live up to. After dinner, I sat on the balcony and suddenly wanted to write something to express my mood at the moment. I don’t know what I wrote, but I feel really good! It is very, very peaceful.

The road to the Jinkeng Terraced Fields Scenic Area is actually not difficult to walk on. It is basically a slab of bluestone. There are signposts at the forks in the road. If you really don’t understand, just ask the villagers working in the fields. They will all enthusiastically show you the way!

The village is mainly inhabited by the Red Yao people. The entrance fee to the scenic area is 95 yuan, and one ticket is valid for all the attractions of Longji Terraces. It is recommended to visit for 2 days. You can stay in different villages for one night, drink tea and watch the stars at night.

By the way, a reminder, don't go to the observation deck too late in the afternoon, otherwise it will be dangerous to go back at night without street lights and walk on the mountain road in the dark. The night I went there, I was busy taking pictures, and it was completely dark when I went down the mountain. I relied on the flashlight on my mobile phone for a long time before I got back to the inn.

Walking up from the bottom of the mountain, you can see layers of rice fields and various distinctive Yao dwellings. The village is very quiet. When you walk past their houses along the stone steps, you can hear voices in the house. Although you can't understand what they are saying, you can feel the simplicity and happiness in their conversation.

The most beautiful scenery on the terraces is the Buddha's light covering the top of the mountain! It was cloudy that morning. When I woke up early, I felt that there was no hope of the sun, but I still went to the Golden Buddha Peak, the No. 3 viewing platform. After climbing for about an hour, I reached the top of the mountain. At this time, the sky was still cloudy. When it was almost noon, the sky was kind. A gust of wind blew, the clouds slowly moved and dispersed, and the sun finally shone on the top of the mountain.

Tips for visiting terraced fields in different seasons:

From the end of May to the middle of June, when rice seedlings were just planted and the terraces were filled with water, it was very poetic.

In mid-July, the rice starts to grow and is green.

Around the Mid-Autumn Festival, the rice is ripe and golden.

This is the best viewing platform among the three, and also the most spectacular one among the terraced fields. So since you have come to Jinkeng Dazhai, you must climb up to the No. 1 viewing platform to see the scenery! You can watch the sunrise here instead of the sunset!

The scenery on the top of the terrace is great. You can see the sunrise when you open the door in the morning. There is a breeze blowing through the mountains and the air is clear.

The Jinkeng Rice Terraces are spectacular. You can walk up the mountain or take a cable car. Only when you reach the top of the mountain can you see the spectacular view of the rice terraces.

Travel alone, find the motivation of life, and be the most authentic self. I sat alone on a bamboo chair, looking at the starry sky of Longji, the stars were blinking, and I heard the wind chimes in the courtyard of the inn singing.

I stayed at the Jinmei Pavilion Hotel in Jinkeng, Longji Terraces, and was lucky enough to meet the owner of this shop.

I was also lucky enough to visit a Yao doctor. The prescriptions passed down from ancestors brought me hope. The doctor personally picked the herbs grown at his doorstep for me.



I walked through the terraces alone and saw colorful mother chickens with their chicks walking past me.



It was my first time to ride in an off-road vehicle, climbing and bumping to the top of the mountain, watching the spectacular terraces stacked up one after another, with gentle curves flying past me. It was quiet and beautiful.

I was alone at Observation Deck No. 1, watching the sunrise blocked by clouds and the mist looming over the terraces.



I imagined it flooding, and the beauty of the rice fields turning yellow and ripe. I have fallen in love with these magnificent terraces. Goodbye, regret is also a kind of beauty...

Compared with Ping'an Terraces, Jinkeng Terraces are larger in scale. There are mainly several viewing points, including Xishan Shaole (Viewing Point No. 1), Jinfoding (Viewing Point No. 3), and Qiancengtianti (Viewing Point No. 2). Accommodation is concentrated in Dazhai and Tiantouzhai, and there are also a few accommodations near Jinfoding. Generally speaking, Dazhai has more convenient transportation. When going to Jinkeng Terraces, you will pass through the parking lot under Dazhai. You can take a cable car from Dazhai to Jinfoding. As for going to Tiantouzhai, you can only charter a car or walk up the mountain. The price of the chartered car is not fixed, usually 150RMB per car, but you can bargain in the off-season. There are two routes to walk up the mountain. One is to take a detour through the Qiancengtianti, which takes about one to one and a half hours (depending on personal physical strength). The other is closer, generally only about forty to fifty minutes. I personally prefer to stay in Tiantouzhai, because it is more convenient to go to Xishan Shaole to watch the sunrise, and you can also pass by the Qiancengtianti on the way down the mountain, and the itinerary is easy to arrange.

It is generally recognized that the most beautiful time for the Jinkeng Terraces is before the autumn harvest and after they are filled with water. However, this period of time is different every year, so it is best to consult the owner of the B&B to avoid missing it.

I came here by car. The road is very narrow, the ticket is expensive, and the tourist facilities are very poor. It's a rip-off. It's comparable to Zhangjiajie. I will never come again.

Longji Rice Terraces is just a general name for a scenic spot. The most spectacular ones are Jinkeng Rice Terraces in Dazhai and Xiaozhai Rice Terraces nearby. Most of the opening credits of CCTV-12 and the promotional pictures and film and television works of Longji Rice Terraces that we often see are from Jinkeng Rice Terraces.

After everyone got on the bus, the tour guide started to arrange the tour: We went to the Jinkeng Dazhai Hongyao Terraces Scenic Area, which has a maximum altitude of 1,180 meters and a minimum altitude of 880 meters. There is a cable car up and down, and the ticket price is 60 yuan. It is recommended to walk down the cable car in such a hot day. At noon, we will have lunch at Jinfoding, and a small tube of bamboo rice will be given. We also need to make reservations for bamboo rice and bamboo chicken.

Dazhai is the Jinkeng Terraces. The facilities and humanities in the village are relatively primitive. Primitiveness also has its advantages, as it allows visitors to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Xishan Shaole is the No. 1 scenic spot, Dajie Thousand-Layered Ladder is the No. 2 scenic spot, and is a place to watch the sunrise; Jinfoding is the No. 3 scenic spot, and is a place to watch the sunset. There is a cable car going up and down the mountain at Jinfoding. It takes about two hours to go back and forth, which is considered a physical job. Everyone should be mentally prepared, but the scenery on the mountain is spectacular, and it is definitely rewarding to persist to the top of the mountain.

I went up the mountain on May 24, 2015, and it was the Opening of Ploughing Day on May 25. I ate plant-dyed rice and it was delicious~ The Dazhai Terraces are large in scale, with a total of 3 viewing points. The distance to the view is quite long. If it rains, you need to cross a muddy road. After all, this is a paradise for free travelers without tour groups.

There are three viewing points in Jinkeng Terraces, Thousand-Layered Ladder, Xishan Shaoyue and Jinfoding, each with its own advantages. Jinfoding is relatively high and has a wide field of vision. You can see the whole picture of Jinfoding from Thousand-Layered Ladder, which is very spectacular. I didn't understand Xishan Shaoyue...

After the Golden Week of October 1st, the Jinkeng terraces were covered with layers of golden color, which was very shocking and imprinted in my mind🌾🌾🌾🌾

With great anticipation, I took the cable car up to the Golden Buddha Summit, but I didn't feel the shock as the legend had said. I stayed overnight in Dazhai on the mountain. At night, the innkeeper said that there were local people singing and dancing performances in the village. I was bored, so I went to watch it. I left after 10 o'clock, but there was no performance. Later, I heard from tourists that there was a charge. The next morning, I went to the Thousand-Layered Ladder. It was foggy and I couldn't see anything. I took the wrong road when going down the mountain, and it took a lot of twists and turns to get to the scenic area shuttle bus parking lot. From this point on, I will say that when you walk along the stone road from the Thousand-Layered Ladder to a section of cement road, you will pass by a sign with the direction of the parking lot. If you don't drive here by yourself, don't follow this sign. This is a private car parking lot. Here you have to ask how to get to the scenic area shuttle bus parking lot. The scenic area shuttle bus stops outside the gate of the scenic area. Walk forward about 300 meters and there is a sign

Because it was already four o'clock in the afternoon when we arrived, and we had to rush to Guilin today, we had to give up the crowded Golden Buddha Summit cable car and chose the Thousand-Layer Ladder instead.

Compared to the opposite hill, the Thousand-Layered Ladder has fewer people, but the scenery is still great. It's a pity that I didn't see the terraced fields at different times of the day.

This place is relatively primitive, without a strong commercial atmosphere, and the locals are simple and kind.

The terraced fields are beautiful, and the hotels leading out have balconies with views, which is very tasteful. The transportation is also convenient. You can book a seat online and go directly to the Jinkeng parking lot without changing buses. But don't wait for the driver to find a place to send your luggage. There are 20 or 30 boxes. After getting off the bus and entering Dazhai, I asked at a street shop and they said they could send their luggage or have a meal for free.

After a tiring day, we rushed to the Jinkeng Hongyao Terraces.

The first time I heard that it would take two hours to walk to the hotel, I was completely confused.

Each person carried a bag weighing about ten kilograms.

I was really about to collapse along the way.

With every step I took, I regretted why I booked a room on the top of the mountain.

Every time I stopped, I didn't want to go on.

Every time we met a tourist, they would point to us and say, "Look, your hotel is at the top of the mountain." Then they would say with encouragement: "Come on, you will get there when you break your legs!"

Finally we arrived after climbing over several mountains and crossing several rivers.

The two-hour climb was well worth it!

The mountains are foggy after the rain. Now at the highest point I can finally say this:

Why don't you say I'm in heaven? I'm in heaven right now! Hahahahahaha

The best months are May and October. In May, you can watch rice planting, and in October, it is golden. Jinkeng Dazhai is quite beautiful. It is recommended to stay overnight and taste the farmer's bamboo chicken rice and fine sweet rice wine.

The terraced fields are nice. Generations of people have opened up mountains and expanded fields to create today's thousand-layer terraced fields. The ancient stone slabs and ancient roads are very impressive. What's not good: There are hotels everywhere, just like a construction site, garbage everywhere, and sewage is directly discharged. There is no planning. A common problem in tourist attractions!

Looking at the Jinkeng Terraces from the observation tower, it was unfortunately covered by clouds and fog in a short while.

It was so beautiful. The mist in the morning was like a fairyland. It was a pity that I couldn’t see the sunrise.

On February 12, 2017, my father and I took a one-day tour of Longji Rice Terraces and chose Jinkeng Dazhai Rice Terraces. Although it was not the most beautiful season to visit, we could still feel the shock of the 700-year-old rice terraces in the off-season.

It felt spectacular, and I also felt the wisdom of the ancient working people, who reclaimed the fields for their survival in these mountains. As the distance was neither too far nor too close and it was not in the city, we didn't want to live here, and it would be too troublesome to go back and forth on the same day, so we signed up for a one-day tour on Taobao, which provided pick-up at the hotel within Guilin city (which was very convenient). It cost 175 yuan per person, which included round-trip transportation, scenic spot tickets, transportation within the scenic spot, one-way cable car, water and bamboo rice, and self-arranged lunch. Children were charged 80 yuan for transportation. We were picked up at the hotel at 7:30 in the morning. It took less than 2 hours to get to the scenic area. We changed to a vehicle in the scenic area and arrived at the Changfa Village of the Red Yao Nationality in 20 minutes. We watched the performance at our own expense of 80 yuan per person (not bad, it felt worth it). We only had to pay one yuan for rice wine. Then we went to a restaurant at the entrance of the scenic area to eat. We ordered our own food and it was up to us (free food and water). The three of us spent about 140 yuan and ate quite full. Then we took the cable car to the top of the mountain (the scenery was good). The viewing platform was quite large and you could go around. There were shops. You could rent clothes and take photos for 10 yuan per set. Then we walked down the mountain. The signs here were not clear. There were many small forks. We walked along the wider stone steps. When we met people, we asked them frequently and didn't go the wrong way. We walked down the mountain in more than an hour. It was just in time to go home and send them to the hotel. Personally, I feel that this one-day tour is quite good and convenient for people like me who lack time and can't calm down and stroll slowly. It's just that the season is a little worse. If possible, it would not be so desolate if you try to choose a good season to see the whole view. It's worth a look.

Actually, I have written about it in my travel notes. I will just briefly say here that the landscape of the terraced fields is still very unique. It is worth a visit if you have not seen it. It has different flavors at different times.

After taking the cable car up the mountain, you can see the entire Jinkeng Terraced Fields landscape. Jinkeng Terraced Fields have the largest area and the scenery is very spectacular. I really admire the working people who opened up the terraces.

The Longsheng Rice Terraces I visited during the National Day holiday in 2016 are so beautiful and shocking. Whether you are going up or down the mountain, you must take a cable car to see the panoramic view. They are bright yellow and very beautiful, even more beautiful than the photos taken in many magazines. I would like to go there again if I have the chance. It’s just that the road is small and narrow, so if you are not familiar with mountain roads, you must be careful when driving!

It takes 2.5 hours by car from Guilin to Longsheng and Longji Rice Terraces, and then about 20 minutes by cable car to Golden Buddha Peak. Although the journey is long, the scenery of Longsheng is definitely worth this rather bumpy ride.

We stayed in Pingan Village and took a bus to Jinken the next day. It was not as good as the Hani Terraces in Yunnan, but it was more beautiful and worth a few days' visit.

The ticket for Jinkeng Rice Terraces is included in the ticket for Longji Rice Terraces, so you don't need to buy it separately. You can take the cable car to the Jinfoding Observation Deck, and the one-way ticket is 70 yuan. You can also take the small path up the mountain. Two options, not in the same direction.

Brother H arranged for a jeep from the farmhouse on the top of the mountain to pick us up. The dirt road up the mountain was very dangerous, and it spiraled all the way to the top of the mountain (on the mountain opposite the cable car).

Jinkeng Terraces is surrounded by mountains, and the scenic spots are scattered, so it takes a long time to walk. Tiantouzhai Village on the top of the mountain faces the Jinfoding Observation Deck, but it takes more than two hours to walk there. The observation deck built by the township is very impressive.

The climb is tiring, but worth it and very beautiful!

Also known as Jinkeng Yao Village or Jinkeng Dazhai, it is located in Longsheng, more than 30 kilometers away from Ping'an Zhuang Village, and is famous for its magnificent terraced fields.
