Mingshi Rurality

Mingshi Rural Scenery is a national AAAA-level scenic spot. The scenic area is beautiful and surrounded by mountains and water. It is known as the Little Guilin. Here, green bamboos surround the banks, farmhouses are dotted, single-plank bridges are across, rice ears sway, farmers carry hoes, and shepherds play in the water. The scenery is handsome and elegant, full of southern pastoral atmosphere. The scenic spot is sought after by tourists because "The Journey of Flower" was filmed here. Here, tourists will forget the passage of time, as if entering a no-man's land.
Mingshi Countryside covers a large area, mainly including the natural river and rural scenery in the upper reaches of Mingshi River and the Zhuang Folk House Museum built in the lower reaches. There are two main ways to visit the scenic area: bamboo rafting and land sightseeing. The recommended tour time is about half a day. Many tourists will choose to stay in the scenic area for one night to leisurely experience the surrounding beauty and appreciate the freshness and tranquility of rural life.
Mingshi Farm is about half an hour's drive from the famous Detian Waterfall Scenic Area, and tourists usually visit both scenic spots together.

Mingshi Pastoral Scenic Area is famous because of the filming of "The Journey of Flower". Mingshi Pastoral Scenic Area itself does not require tickets. Tickets are required for a minority folk park and the cost of taking a boat, which is also very expensive, costing 80 yuan. Unfortunately, the money should be spent. It was so muddy on rainy days that I could only take a boat to relax. It was drizzling, and looking at this Mingshi Pastoral Scenic Area, it felt a bit like a small Guilin, but the mountains in the distance were hazy and I couldn't see them clearly. If the weather was clear, it would still be very visible. There were still many people taking the boat, and there were snacks on the boat. The tour guide would introduce all the way along the way. There were also various small performances in the river, singing folk songs, playing the flute. Although the time was not short, it was not too boring. The place to get off the boat was the Zhuang Folk Park. This place was really useless. There were some photos of film and television dramas shot here. I watched a performance of ethnic minorities, and then I didn't know why I seemed to have missed the popular Nine-Curve Bridge again. It was really a waste of such an expensive ticket!

This Mingshi rural scenery was originally thought to be a natural village, but in fact it has been developed into a national AAAA-level scenic spot. You must take a bamboo raft to enter it, which costs 120 yuan per person. On the bamboo raft, you can enjoy the green mountains and beautiful waters here, surrounded by mountains and waters, green bamboos around the banks, dotted with farmhouses, single-plank bridges, swaying rice ears, farmers carrying hoes, and shepherds playing in the water. The scenery is handsome and elegant, full of the southern pastoral atmosphere, so it is known as the Little Guilin.

The scenic spot has recently become popular among tourists because the TV series "The Journey of Flower" was filmed here.

The landscape of Mingshi is concentrated in the area from Mingshi to Balang. Buy a ticket at the entrance marked "Mingshi Pastoral Scenic Area" and take a boat, rowing along the Mingshi River for about 2.2 kilometers. The river bank is densely forested with phoenix tail bamboos. Through the gaps between the bamboos, you can see the typical karst peaks, the majestic Jiangjun Mountain, the elegant Tongtian Cave, the peculiar Wanru Cliff, and the naturally formed cliff paintings. Finally, you will reach the place marked "Mingshi Pastoral", which is the essence of the landscape.

I went to Mingshi Garden twice in 2017 and 2018. I really like it.

Too many film and television dramas have been filmed here. Although "The Journey of Flower" is well-known, as a TVB drama fan, I have seen the Mingshi countryside at that time in dramas many years ago. When "The Wine of Hometown" was filmed, it was even more desolate, and the green mountains on both sides of the river were even more quiet.

I stayed at Mingshi Villa both times. What I enjoyed most was having breakfast facing the green mountains and clear waters every morning and feeding the fishes with bread crumbs.

I have always thought it was a niche place where people come to relax and be with nature, but in 2018, there are many more people than in 2017. At that time, the Nine-Curve Bridge, which I thought was lonely and elegant, also attracted many people.

It’s a beautiful view, you should go there quickly before most people discover it.

Really great scenery, not worse than Guilin Shangshui. We came with a tour group, I think it is more convenient to travel with a tour group, without having to worry about the car and accommodation, although the food is really average. Also, if you have time, don't rush during the Golden Week, and the seven days of the New Year, there will be too many people, and the price will be twice as high.

Mingshi Farm has been the filming base for many Hong Kong TV dramas and "The Journey of Flower". It was also the filming location for a stamp featuring the border scenery of the motherland produced by China Post.

First take a 50-minute boat tour. This place has the same karst landform as Guilin, so the scenery is very similar to that of the Li River. There are peanuts and fruits on the bamboo raft. The girl who gave the tour was very beautiful and spoke very well. She sang folk songs and explained the strange names of the surrounding mountains and the customs of the Zhuang ethnic group.

There are mallards in the water, which have plump meat and are suitable for roast duck, while pearl ducks have sweet meat and are suitable for white-cut duck. Although it is winter, there are still many albizzia flowers blooming on the shore. The albizzia flower is a small red ball, furry, and looks a lot like rambutan. I heard that when the kapok flowers bloom, both banks are covered with fiery red kapok flowers.

After landing, you will see the filming spots of "Such a Beautiful River and Mountain" and "The Journey of Flower". Going further, you will see the scenic spot "A Beautiful Full Moon". If you are a tourist, you will definitely think that "A Beautiful Full Moon" is just an ordinary Nine-Curve Bridge. However, there are round holes on the Nine-Curve Bridge, and taking photos through the holes is a different feeling. In places with right angles, you can not only take photos of the scenery, but also take photos of people through the holes.

[Hidden Landscape Gallery] Mingshi countryside stretches out like a scroll of green ink in front of you, with karst peaks reflecting the clear water, and wooden buildings of Zhuang family dotted around the bamboo banks. Boating on Mingshi River is the best experience, and the scenery changes as if you are walking into the fantasy world of "The Journey of Flower". It is recommended to ride on the rural plank road, and when the rice waves are surging, it feels like riding into Hayao Miyazaki's summer. Tips: It is only an hour's drive from Detian Waterfall, and it is more fun to play with it; you can sleep under the stars in the riverside B&B, and the whole landscape is contracted in the off-season.

Mingshi Pastoral Scenic Area is located in Mingshi Village, Kanxu Township, Daxin County, Chongzuo City. It is the filming location of "The Journey of Flower" and "Wine is the Hometown" (a stamp of the motherland's border scenery by China Post was also filmed here). It has been developed into a 4A-level scenic spot. You must take a bamboo raft to enter it. The ticket/boat ticket is 120 yuan/person. On the bamboo raft, you can enjoy the green mountains and beautiful waters here. The mountains are surrounded by water, the banks are surrounded by green bamboos, farmhouses are dotted, single-plank bridges are crossed, rice ears are swaying, farmers are carrying hoes, and shepherds are playing in the water. The scenery is handsome and elegant, and it is full of the atmosphere of the southern countryside, so it is known as the Little Guilin.

Mingshi Countryside is famous for being the filming location of the movie "The Journey of Flower". But there are many controversies. Some people say that the scenic area is not big and is not worth the 120 yuan ticket plus the cruise. Some people say that a big hotel blocks the best scenery inside... Putting aside the human factors, Mingshi Countryside is the pastoral image in my mind! Quiet and secluded, with towering mountains and green waters, Tao Yuanming wrote "the roads are connected, and the chickens and dogs can hear each other"... It is recommended to walk on the walking path, or rent a bicycle. The walking path connects the four natural villages in the scenic area along the river, then walks from the bridge to the opposite side, and then returns to the parking lot through Mingshi Villa. A large loop of about 8 kilometers. Along the way, you can see the quiet village with black tiles and white walls, and the peaks in the distance are shrouded in clouds and mist, illusory and looming...

The price/performance ratio is very low, the 120 ticket price is not worth it. In addition to taking the bamboo raft, the part on the shore can be visited in half an hour. A scenic spot made popular by "The Journey of Flower" is actually not interesting.

Mingshi Rural Scenic Area is located in Daxin County, Chongzuo, Guangxi, about 36 kilometers away from Detian Waterfall. Its temperament is in line with the landscape of Guilin. It is 600 kilometers away from Guilin, and the scenery along the way is similar, all of which are beautiful like ink paintings. It is understood that the TV series "The Journey of Flower" was filmed here, and the environment is very quiet.

Bamboo rafting: 120 yuan, reference time: 2 hours

Friendly reminder to be prepared for mosquitoes!!! It is recommended that you take a bamboo raft in the evening to take good photos. Take a boat tour for about 50 minutes. This place has the same karst landform as Guilin, so the scenery is very similar to that of the Li River. There are peanuts and fruits on the bamboo raft, as well as local tea; the little girl who explains the story speaks well and sings well.

The scenic area is small, the scenery is poor, and the fees are expensive, just to serve that hotel.

Take a bamboo raft to start your tour of Mingshi Countryside, which is the filming location of "The Journey of Flower" and the filming location of the 80-cent stamp.

The scenic spot is popular among tourists because the TV series "The Journey of Flower" was filmed here, but some tourists online said that the scenic spot is not very good, there are not many things to see, but the ticket is very expensive, costing 120 yuan.

By Wandering around for a lifetime |

You can't feel the rural scenery if you don't live in the countryside. It's all land. It's okay for taking photos, but there's no place to play.

By Stray Cats |

The bamboo raft costs 60 yuan and the ticket costs 80 yuan. The scenic area is not big. It is a small hut of ethnic minorities that has been relocated. There is not much to see. It takes 30 minutes to walk slowly.

By Source wheat |

You can stay overnight at Mingshi Tianyuan and experience the rural life described by Tao Yuanming.

By xiezhq |

The entrance to Mingshi Tianyuan is actually at Mingshi Tianyuan Station. You must buy a bamboo raft ticket for 120 yuan per person and paddle on the bamboo raft for about 3 kilometers to enter the scenic spots of Mingshi Tianyuan. The bamboo raft is the only way to enter Mingshi Tianyuan. There are few people and it takes a lot of time. The exit of Mingshi Tianyuan is at least 3 kilometers away from the entrance (station). You need to find a way to come back by yourself, either on foot or by electric car. The navigation-guided Mingshi Tianyuan is actually the exit and does not sell tickets. Mingshi Tianyuan's practice is too deceptive. Vote with your feet and go. However, there are many fruit vendors in the parking lot of Mingshi Tianyuan Station, and the prices are cheap. There are bananas, pineapples and mangoes. Take the opportunity to take a break and enjoy a good meal.

By Fish swimming in the Great Barrier Reef |

The entrance of the scenic area is also the place where you can take the shuttle bus to the bamboo raft dock. The small train on the river is actually a bamboo raft that we take to the scenic area manually, and the empty boats are then pulled back to the dock in rows by motor boats. Brother Niu, who paddled for us, was shy. The scenery of the bamboo raft in the small village of Yanhe is actually similar to that of Guilin, because both belong to karst landforms.

By Zhang Lixiang |

How to describe Mingshi Tianyuan? I'd rather use the word "chicken ribs" to describe it! Because it was the Spring Festival, there were many tourists, but there were very limited 10-person bamboo rafts. We waited in line for nearly an hour before we got on the bamboo raft. The scenery along the river was average, and there was nothing special along the way.

I heard that many movies were filmed here.

In short, I personally feel that if you don’t have much time, you can give up Mingshi Tianyuan. If you have plenty of time, it’s also nice to come and take a look.

By Smile |

After entering the scenic area, you have to take a boat. You can experience the scenery of the bamboo raft in the river and the mountains on both sides. After getting off the boat, you can also stroll to the wooden house where the filming of "The Journey of Flower" was filmed. With the blessing of the reflection in the water, tourists have turned into photographers.

By Qian Luoyan |

You must exchange tickets to enter the scenic area. You also have to queue up to exchange tickets when you buy tickets online. Of course, the so-called queue is actually all kinds of squeezing. When I was exchanging tickets at the window, someone even wanted to pull me out. I was really impressed. Those who squeezed in were all very confident. You have to queue up to take the bamboo raft. I waited for almost 2 hours and finally got on the raft. As a result, the scenery disappointed me. It was not as good as the Li River, and it was not even as good as the Yulong River. There were all kinds of plants on both sides of the river, and the water was not clear. The scenery on the shore was even more ordinary. A very tasteless scenery, it was advertised as picturesque, but it was actually a small ditch beside the village

By Maggie travel |

Commonly known as Little Guilin, the service in the scenic area is very good, the scenery is OK, and some scenes in "The Journey of Flower" were filmed here.

By Feifei |

The scenery is OK, those who have not been to Guangxi can go and see it. The bamboo rafting distance is too short, the ticket price is too high, and there are too few bamboo raft workers for individual tourists. Compared with Guilin's "Yulong River" bamboo rafting, the cost performance is still a lot worse.

By Brightly lit |

The main selling point of Mingshi Pastoral Scenic Area is to take a bamboo raft to enjoy the karst landforms and pastoral scenery. The price is a bit expensive. The effect of the tour depends on the weather and the number of tourists. The experience may be extreme, divided into super like and boring. If you don't enter the scenic area, you can walk around the fields near Kanxu Township and Encheng Township, which is also quite good. You can rent bicycles at the entrance of the scenic area, and each one costs 60 yuan for half a day! We drove along Route 1 and Route 5. The playability is very general. Except for seeing large tracts of sugarcane fields and piles of sugarcane, there is nothing particularly impressive. Maybe you can feel more by riding a bicycle on a pure bicycle sightseeing route?

By Xiao Ming |

It became famous because of the filming of "The Journey of Flower" and attracted many foreign tourists to check in, but the locals do not recommend this attraction, saying that the scenery is actually just average and the tickets are expensive. Many people said it was not worth it after the tour. But they still took us to a place that did not require tickets. The scenery was indeed just average, and this point was beautified in post-production on TV.

By Peach Blossom Spring |

I went to the entrance of Mingshi Tianyuan yesterday. I was forced to take a bamboo raft. The ticket price was too expensive, 120 yuan. I heard from tourists who came back that it took 20 minutes to complete the tour. However, the disability certificate was not free (one person had a disability certificate). Can't the tourism bureau of the scenic spot control this? Our group of six decided to leave.

The scenic area is not big, we just strolled around and took some popular photos at the Nine-Curve Bridge. The reflections of the mountains and water here are connected into one, quiet and beautiful. When we walked to the filming base of "The Journey of Flower", the scenery in our eyes was definitely not as beautiful as the one in the camera.

A small but exquisite beauty. The area is not very big. Although the ticket is expensive, it is worth watching carefully. There are ethnic performances in the afternoon. There are only five or six performances per show, which are over in about 20 minutes. Personally, I think rafting is not worth it. It is better to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the river.

With its picturesque peaks, green bamboos surrounding the banks and farmhouses dotted around, I really like this natural countryside surrounded by mountains and rivers, peaceful and quiet.

The river is as clear as a mirror, with green water flowing slowly. You can take a bamboo raft downstream and enjoy the charming scenery on both sides.

Green mountains and clear waters, reflecting each other like a mirror, are an intoxicating rural beauty.

By Japanese style |

I went there with my friends during the National Day holiday. The scenery was beautiful. Then you can take a boat and listen to the explanation of the lady while watching the scenery on both sides. This was also the filming location of "The Journey of Flower". In summary: The scenery is beautiful and worth seeing

By The deepest sea |

I went to Mingshi Countryside from Detian Waterfall. To be honest, the scenery along the way is quite good, even much better than Mingshi Countryside. There is no need to go to Mingshi Countryside specifically.

By Walk |

The tickets are expensive. It's nice to see the scenery on the boat, but the time is short. You will regret it once you get off the boat. It is not recommended.

By Chen Xiaohei who loves traveling |

Surrounded by mountains and water, it is known as the Little Guilin. Here, green bamboos surround the banks, farmhouses are dotted, single-plank bridges cross, rice ears sway, farmers carry hoes, and shepherds play in the water. The scenery is handsome and elegant, full of the atmosphere of the southern countryside.

The scenic area is equipped with complete facilities, parking lots, shuttle buses, hotels, and song and dance performances. The scenic area is popular with tourists because the movie "The Journey of Flower" was filmed here. Here, tourists will forget the passage of time and feel like they are in a deserted place. It is a good place for home travel.

Here, you will see typical karst peak forest landforms, the shadows of Bijiang bamboos with the rustling of phoenix tails and the roar of dragons, the ancient and simple Zhuang villages, the mighty Jiangjun Mountain, the elegant Tongtian Cave, the peculiar Wanru Cliff, and the naturally formed cliff murals.

Mingshi Countryside is indeed very beautiful, but the reputation of the filming location of "The Journey of Flower" has made this place very popular. The number of tourists coming here has skyrocketed, and the ticket price has increased from the original 40 yuan to the current 120 yuan. However, the reception capacity of the scenic spot is average. When I went there, 100 people lined up to wait for the bamboo raft for a full hour. During the peak season, the hotel here is more than 300 yuan a night, and the cost performance has become very low, so I don’t recommend staying here.

By Min Ge |

The scenery is really beautiful, a real pastoral scenery, very suitable for leisure and slow appreciation. But the bamboo raft tour of Mingshi Countryside costs 115 yuan per person, which is really a rip-off. It only takes a few dozen minutes, and the income of a raft is thousands of yuan. The scenery is just so-so. It is better to walk and watch on the shore. It is not worth the price at all. It feels not worth it if you come all the way there and don't take a ride. After taking the ride, I realized that it is even more unprofitable.

By Liangliang |

The weather is so good, sitting on a bamboo raft and tasting local peanuts, bananas, bitter tea, and plums is also a special feeling in my heart. A journey full of unknowns is always easy to satisfy. The lightest and best season of the year is September. As the bamboo raft slowly moves forward in the river, the local black Zhuang people have lived here for generations and lead a pastoral life.

By Little cold |

It was almost six o'clock, and the Mingshi countryside became even more peaceful under the afterglow of the setting sun. There was still a trace of afterglow at the end of the mountain.

Mingshi Countryside Villa is surrounded by water on three sides, with small bridges connecting various areas, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll.

I just can't help but say again how peaceful and beautiful it is.

In the sunset glow, the last bamboo raft paddled across the calm water. I stood on the bridge and watched the scenery, while the people watching the scenery watched me from the boat.

In fact, the purpose of coming to Mingshi is to experience the leisurely atmosphere. To be honest, the bamboo raft is a bit expensive. If the price is half of that, I would still recommend it.

There is no need to rush when riding on a bamboo raft. All you need is a peaceful and slow life and a leisurely attitude. There will also be Zhuang sisters singing with you on the river bank.

By Xiaomo Travel Vision |

Mingshi Countryside, as another famous landscape card of southwest Guangxi, is well-known both at home and abroad for its landscape and rural scenery. The popular TV series "The Journey of Flower" and "The Legend of Zu" in the past two years were filmed here. Even earlier, this place has always been the favorite filming location of Hong Kong TVB. Hong Kong dramas such as "The Wine of Hometown", "The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl", "The Heroic Doctor" and "The King of Herbs" have all been filmed here.

Along the banks of the river, you will also encounter local ethnic minorities singing folk songs and performing folk instruments, creating a simple pastoral scene.

Traveling is another kind of spiritual practice. When we have traveled thousands of miles, walked through the bright lights and nightlife, tasted the tasteless food, and experienced sleepless nights, finally, we return to the starting point and start to live seriously and carefully. We will understand the beauty of life more than before. . If we savor every link of the journey carefully, we will find that our journey is not about the destination, but on the way. .

Mingshi Countryside, this scenic spot that used to be "hidden in the boudoir and unknown to the world" is 53 kilometers away from Daxin County. The scenic area with a radius of 20 kilometers is beautiful with mountains and waters. . Here, green bamboos surround the banks, the scenery is handsome and elegant, and it is full of the atmosphere of southern countryside.

Beautiful mountains, a mirror-like river, small boats rowing into the sky, green bamboos, golden rice fields, water wheels, canals and single-plank bridges with a strong local flavor. Boating on the Mingshi River, you can feel the mirror-like reflections of the bamboo groves and mountains, the blue sky and white clouds, as well as the flowing water under the small bridges, the singing of birds, and the crowing of chickens and barking of dogs in the villages. It is an enchanting pastoral scenery that is hard to find.

Mingshi Countryside doesn’t have the beauty of Guilin, the hustle and bustle of Yangshuo, or the grandeur of Detian, but whether it was strolling in the villa last night or floating on the river today, it was a little more cozy and comfortable, making people calm down... I really hope to stay here for a few days, away from the hustle and bustle of the city and forget all the troubles! It seems that all the stress and troubles have disappeared...

It's a very small scenic spot. You can enter and exit for free if you stay in the convenient hotel next to it, but you have to pay another 120 yuan to take the bamboo raft.

People, the route is very short. There is only one road inside, and it is finished quickly. The river water is a bit muddy. It is not worth coming.

Mingshi Rural Scenery was recommended to me by a friend. I was so amazed and surprised when I went there that I decided to stay in this wonderland for three more days!

The view is nice, but it's a bit small and the price is a bit expensive!

Not worth it, the scenery is more than the highway, the performance in the scenic area is not sincere

It's a very nice scenic spot, not big, but very exquisite, worth recommending!

The scenic area is small, but there are beautiful views everywhere.

It takes 1 hour to drive from Detian Waterfall to Mingshi Countryside, which is truly beautiful! Rafting on the Mingshi River brings you an intoxicating feeling. The karst reflections on both sides are extremely beautiful. I personally feel that it is more beautiful than the reflections of mountains and waters in the Li River in Yangshuo. It is definitely worth a visit.

Tickets booked online: Mingshide Tianlian Ticket (210/person)

Tips: Mingshi Rural Scenic Area is a 40-minute bamboo raft ride (with a commentator) followed by a short walk. The entrance and exit are in two different places, so self-driving friends don’t have to worry, as the scenic area has a free shuttle bus to take you back to the entrance where your car is parked.

We arrived at 12 noon, just in time to avoid the peak. There were no other tourists, so we contracted the entire bamboo raft to take photos. There was also water and snacks provided on the bamboo raft.

This is the karst landform in southern Guangxi. You must have a rich imagination of the mountains when visiting here.

Mingshi Garden is also the filming location for TV series such as The Journey of Flower. Come and enjoy the fairyland atmosphere quietly.

When I was interning at Contemporary Life Daily in 2010, I had the opportunity to interview and witness the China-Vietnam Fishing Competition held at Mingshi Countryside Villa in Daxin, Chongzuo. I had a very good impression of Mingshi Countryside Villa. The scenic environment is clean and tidy, and the food and accommodation facilities are complete and convenient. It is suitable for a short trip of a few days. Unfortunately, I was pressed for time and did not go to the Detian Waterfall in Daxin.

Mingshi Pastoral Scenic Area is very small. In fact, it is not a scenic area as mentioned above. It is actually a resort. A Guangdong boss had a keen eye and enclosed a piece of land in Mingshi in the 1990s. The karst landform here has such mountains everywhere. He enclosed part of the Mingshi River, which is more beautiful with mountains and water. This boss engaged in tourism here, and later built a Mingshi Villa. He relied on his connections to attract some crews to shoot here. This place became popular mainly because of the TV series "The Journey of Flower". There are actually a few scenic spots in the scenic area. One is the sunrise on the right hand side of the scenic area that we just saw. On the left hand is the Nine-Bend Bridge. On the Nine-Bend Bridge, you can take pictures of the restaurant of Mingshi Villa and the surrounding mountains. After the Nine-Bend Bridge is the Totem Square. Through a long corridor, you will reach the 80-point shooting point of China Post, which is also the place to take pictures of the sunset.

I feel that the scenery with water in Guangxi is pretty good.

The tickets are expensive, there is only a small river, the water is not clear, and it costs about 30 yuan to take a bamboo raft. Anyway, it is considered a complete tour. It feels not worth it. Hua Qiangu is harmful...

A small scenic spot, the price is not proportional to the scenery. The bamboo rafts have become a must now. Staying in the hotel is ok, after all, he is just selling hotels. There is no need to see it, the scenery on the road is better. PS: This Macau boss, haha. People without money can only give bad reviews when they encounter a rubbish scenic spot that rips off their money.

The typical karst landform has created the unique scenery of Mingshi Countryside. Although it is similar to Guilin, it is quieter because there are not as many people as Guilin. It is suitable for people who like quietness and slow travel to experience the countryside. You can take a boat or ride a bike. There are also some landscapes left by the filming of the TV series "The Journey of Flower". Those who like it can take a look. It is worth recommending.
