Also known as Yongji Bridge and Panlong Bridge, it is the most famous wind and rain bridge with Dong ethnic charm in Guangxi and is also a national key cultural relic protection unit.
Built in 1912, the bridge is 64.4 meters long, 3.4 meters wide and 10.6 meters high. It is a wooden and stone structure bridge across the Linxi River.
Miao festivals, Zhuang antiphonal singing, Yao dances and Dong architecture are known as the four unique ethnic customs of Liuzhou. Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge is a typical Dong architecture.

Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge, located on the Linxi River, is a representative of the Dong ethnic group's wind and rain bridges. It is one of the largest, most beautiful and most distinctive bridges. Built in 1912, Chengyang Bridge is a four-hole, five-pier cantilever wooden beam bridge, divided into two parts: the piers and the bridge body. The bottom of the pier is a diamond-shaped pier seat. The bridge body is a four-column raised building, with several tiled roofs and flying eaves that are higher than the bridge body, which are beautiful and spectacular. The eaves of the corridors and pavilions are all carved and painted, with brightly colored figures, landscapes, flowers, and animals, which are lifelike and are artistic treasures among Chinese wooden buildings.
This is a modern covered bridge, built in 1912. However, it is the largest covered bridge in China made of wood and stone, and its construction technology and beautiful shape are breathtaking.
After the wind and rain, is it the so-called "wind and rain bridge"? Indeed, it is the transportation hub between the stockade and the core scenic area.
It is one of the popular check-in spots and is worth a visit.
It is better to book a room in the village first and ask the boss for help.
The innkeeper will tell you how to get there, it's cheap, the people in the village are very nice, and the scenery is great.
Located in Chengyang Bazhai, Sanjiang County, there are performances by the Dong people on the bridge, and guests need to drink to welcome the guests before entering the village.
The world-famous Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge is located on the Linxi River next to Chengyang Eight Villages. Built in 1912, it is the largest wind and rain bridge in the world. Together with the wooden houses and hanging towers in Chengyang Miao Village, it retains its original appearance, giving people a sense of ancient vicissitudes.
The bridge buildings are worth seeing, the scenery is equally beautiful, the ethnic minority compatriots are friendly to tourists, and it is a scenic spot worth visiting.
There are five polygonal pagoda-shaped pavilions built on the Sanjiang Chengyang Fengyu Bridge, with railings on both sides of the passage.
The entire bridge structure does not use a single nail or rivet. The large and small wood strips are connected by tenon and mortise, making it very strong.
The bridge is majestic and magnificent, with a strong atmosphere, representing the profound culture of the Dong village.
Just to see a bridge, there were so many people, the county town is too small, it was too tiring. I didn't feel very good, the local customs were quite enthusiastic, but I just couldn't understand it.
Although there were many negative things in the guide and reviews before coming here, and the local area is undergoing large-scale construction, Sanjiang is really a place that we are surprised by. The simplicity of the Dong people, the performances of ethnic minorities, the traditional earthen buildings and wind and rain bridges are all unforgettable. I sincerely recommend it! For details, please see my travel notes http://www.mafengwo.cn/i/9826062.html
Qingyou Ancient Village is a good place for taking photos. I recommend Shuangcha Inn in Yanzhai for accommodation. The owner is very friendly.
Your website says that the entrance fee to Fengyu Bridge is 3 yuan, but it costs 60 yuan after all the trouble to get there. There are big men in black clothes guarding every intersection. Can you enter or not?
The road was still under construction when I went there. It took a long time to get from Sanjiang Station to the village. It cost about 80 yuan to charter a car, which would take you to the village. It was too troublesome to take the bus and you had to transfer. It was also a long walk to the entrance of the village. I don't recommend it. There is a good snail noodle restaurant in the village, but there is not much food in it. I don't like the special sausage. When I came out of the village on the way back, the locals helped me to stop a ride, which cost 5 yuan per person (much cheaper than the charter when I went there...). I suggest that you don't need to charter a car on the way back. Go to the intersection where the road is under construction and stop a car at a discount point, and you can go to the county town.
Dong Village has three treasures: drum tower, big song, and wind and rain bridge. One of the three treasures, wind and rain bridge, is generally composed of a bridge, a tower, and a pavilion, all built of wood. The bridge deck is paved with planks, railings and benches are set on both sides, and the top of the bridge is covered with tiles, forming a corridor-style walkway. The tower and pavilion are built on stone bridge piers, with multiple floors, flying eaves, and decorations such as treasure gourds on the top. Because pedestrians can avoid wind and rain when passing by, they are called wind and rain bridges.
Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge, also known as Yongji Bridge, is the most famous of the many wind and rain bridges with the charm of the Dong ethnic group. It was built in 1912. There are five stone piers in the river. The bridge deck is made of fir and paved with wooden boards. It is the best preserved and largest wind and rain bridge. According to relevant records, Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge is as famous as China's stone arch Zhaozhou Bridge, iron chain Luding Bridge and the fictitious "Roman steel beam Nova Bridge", and is one of the four famous historical bridges in the world.
The entire Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge is built without a single nail or rivet. It is made of wood joined together with tenons and mortise and tenons, and inserted horizontally and vertically. The roof is covered with hard and solid tiles, and all exposed wooden surfaces are coated with anti-corrosion tung oil. Therefore, this huge building, spanning the stream and river, stands proudly in the sky, and has been through wind and rain for a long time, but it is still indestructible.
Inside the Fengyu Bridge are small stalls set up by locals. When you walk by, they are busy with their own things and don't actively invite you to buy things.
Originally I just wanted to go to the Fengyu Bridge, but when I got there I found there was a very beautiful ancient village behind it, what an unexpected gain!
I bought tickets through formal channels to enter the village, and I shared the tickets with others, each person paid fifty yuan. There were some elderly ladies selling small items on the Fengyu Bridge, and I bought a bell from an elderly lady at the bridge head. I drank some rice wine after crossing the bridge, which tasted quite sweet. Then, is there at least one store selling African drums in every ancient town, hahaha. . .
I visited Liuzhou during the training in November 2016.
Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge, also known as Yongji Bridge and Panlong Bridge, is located in Linxi Town, 20 kilometers north of Guyi Town, Sanjiang County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the most famous of the many wind and rain bridges with Dong ethnic charm in the Guangxi Zhuang area and is a national key cultural relic protection unit.
Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge is a typical Dong ethnic building. This wooden and stone bridge across the Linxi River was built in 1912. There are five stone piers in the river. The bridge deck is made of fir wood and paved with wooden boards. The bridge is 64.4 meters long, 3.4 meters wide and 10.6 meters high.

The weather is very hot. There was a landslide before. I heard that some small bridges were washed away. Houses are being built in many places. Only the front is well preserved...
Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge is a wooden covered bridge with a dark brown surface that gives it a particularly aged feel.
There are more and more cement houses, and fewer and fewer folk features, such as Chengyang Bridge. Yes, Bazhai is just so-so. There are cement houses everywhere, like a big construction site, which is a big eyesore. If this continues, Bazhai will be in trouble. It is recommended to spend half a day to see the bridge and stroll around. As a reminder, you can take a photo with the bridge without buying a ticket, which is quite generous.
Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge, one of the filming locations of Escape Plan

It's not good no matter how you look at it. There's nothing to see at all. The most distinctive thing is the sour meat.
The world's first wind and rain bridge, the historical value is self-evident! Located on the Xunjiang River in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County, it echoes the first drum tower in the Dong village, and the surrounding scenery is really beautiful! It is worth mentioning that the rape flowers there are 1.5 meters high!!!
You must stay here for one night and attend their party. That's the right way to stay. You also have to attend the banquet, watch the party at night, and there are performances during the day. You have to have fun when you come here. There are many accommodations in the village, and the hotel prices booked online will also increase during the National Day holiday, which is not good!!!

If you are interested, please come early. In a year or so, only the bridge will be old, and the other houses may be new.
The road from Chengyang County to Fengyu Bridge was really difficult to drive on for the first 10 kilometers as the road was under construction. I kept suspecting that I had taken the wrong road and had to ask for directions over and over before I finally found the scenic spot.
Fengyu Bridge is a combination of bridge, corridor and pavilion, which is unique in the history of Chinese and foreign architecture. Sanjiang Chengyang Fengyu Bridge, also known as Yongji Bridge and Panlong Bridge, is the landmark of the entire scenic area. The entire bridge has no nails, and is made of wood inlaid with wood. It has survived a hundred years of wind and rain, and the craftsmanship is amazing.
There are a lot of tourists. The vendors selling ethnic small items on the bridge are all national chains in the ancient town. The scenic spot is to see the bridge, there are performances, and you can eat a long table banquet, 50 per person, which are some special dishes such as sour fish and sour meat, but the taste is average, just for the atmosphere. I am from a minority area, so I am used to it. Friends who have not experienced it are also worth seeing. It is best for tourists to speak Guiliu dialect and let the villagers take them in. It is much cheaper!
The scenery is good, the wind and rain bridge is spectacular, and the performance is also in place. Although it is fully commercialized, it is still worth a visit
In March 2015, we came to Sanjiang Dong Village, where Yongji Bridge is located. The rape blossoms make this ancient bridge look magnificent.

Correction: Fengyu Bridge is just the common name for this kind of covered bridge. Sanjiang Chengyang Fengyu Bridge refers to the Yongji Bridge with 5 piers and towers in Chengyang Ma'an Village. It is one of the four famous historical bridges in the world and it lives up to its reputation and is very distinctive and charming.
Yes, Sanjiang's classic scenic spot~ A must-see when you go~ I haven't found its photos yet~ It's said that Sanjiang feels a bit like Guizhou, it's relatively poor, and the transportation is not very convenient, but I still like this place very much, quiet and elegant~ When we went there that day, we entered the village at night. The driver said that we really know how to choose the time, and we can enter at night without paying the 65 yuan entrance fee~ Haha~ I really didn't know, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise~ O(∩_∩)O~
This is the most satisfying trip so far. In the quiet and leisurely environment, watching the old lady weaving on the roadside, the children playing games in the small square, and playing with the chickens and dogs, the day passed by.
The three treasures of Dong Village are drum tower, big song and wind and rain bridge. Chengyang Eight Villages are eight villages connected together. Each village has its own drum tower and wind and rain bridge. The wind and rain bridge and drum tower of each village are slightly different. Chengyang Bridge is the largest and most spectacular wind and rain bridge among the eight villages. It is also a must-go road to Chengyang Village. Many villagers sell things on the bridge in their spare time during the day, because a large number of tour groups will come to watch the big song performance during the day. In addition to running the inn, it is another way for them to make a living.
Things are very cheap. A solid small bell bracelet made of pure copper costs ten yuan each. Don't even think about it in other scenic spots. Chengyang Bridge was built in 1912. Chengyang has the most convenient transportation among several villages. Chengyang is located in Sanjiang County, a county town under Liuzhou City. The transportation is very inconvenient, so so many original buildings and villagers are preserved. There are buses from Yangshuo to Sanjiang. If you get off at Sanjiang County, there are buses to Chengyang Village during the day. It stops at 4 pm. You can charter a car to Chengyang for 60 yuan, but it is not public transportation, similar to a black car. The road is very bumpy. It takes about 30 to 40 minutes to drive on the mountain road. There are direct buses from Guilin to Sanjiang, which take more than 5 hours and the road is bumpy. Sanjiang has opened a high-speed rail, and the distance is a bit far. After leaving the station, you have to take a bus to the county town to transfer. It is such a magical place with incomparable beautiful buildings. The bridge is 64.4 meters long, 3.4 meters wide and 10.6 meters high. The best angle to view the panoramic view is at the entrance of Chengyangzhai Village. There is a small hill with a stone road and a pavilion on the top of the hill. You can take a panoramic view of Chengyang Bridge halfway up the hill and five or six villages on the top of the hill. It is particularly spectacular and beautiful in the morning. It is recommended to climb down the mountain.
I was amazed and admired the ingenuity of these carpenters. They could build such a durable and virtuous bridge without any drawings, just by mental calculation and a "scented stick". It is said that in the Dong village, the wind and rain bridge is their soul. Everybody puts good things in their homes and decorates their homes magnificently, but the Dong people use the best wind and rain bridges at the head or tail of the village. This Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge is also called "Yongji Bridge", but it is one of the four famous bridges in the world. It has been 104 years old~
Chengyang Eight Villages, located in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County, consists of eight natural villages. These are the real Dong people!
Guangxi has four unique ethnic customs: the Miao festivals, the Zhuang singing, the Yao dances and the Dong architecture.
A long corridor with an ancient flavor, many unique small accessories, and scenery on both sides.
The most famous wind and rain bridge in Chengyang is the largest, best protected and most exquisite wind and rain bridge in the surrounding area. The beautiful Linjiang River forms a large half circle in Chengyang.
Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge combines a bridge, a corridor and a pavilion in one, and has a unique charm in the history of Chinese and foreign architecture.
My classmates kept complaining that it was not worth the trip just for this bridge. The old building may not be as bright and beautiful as before, nor does it have modern functions, but its craftsmanship is amazing. There is not a single nail in the whole bridge, it is all wood inlaid with wood, and it has been able to withstand wind and rain for nearly a hundred years.
Looking to the left, there is the Fengyu Bridge, and to the front right is also a bridge with Dong ethnic characteristics. The misty rain falls on the river surface, creating ripples. The mountains in the distance are shrouded in clouds and mist, like a fairyland.
Some vendors on the Fengyu Bridge were selling beautiful Dong ethnic costumes, hydrangeas and some beautiful small jewelry. They were all simple local residents. When you walked by them, they would ask if you wanted to wear Dong ethnic costumes for photos. The rental fee was only 10 yuan per set. You could take as many photos as you wanted. I couldn't resist the temptation of the beautiful costumes and rented a set for photos. The clothes were very beautiful. There were many silver bells on the headdress and necklace. You could hear the crisp bells when you walked, which sounded very nice.
In addition to being majestic, the giant wind and rain bridge is different from other modern bridges. It is also a place suitable for leisure and chatting. On both sides of the road are wooden floors and very long wooden benches. Lying on the wooden railings of the bridge and overlooking the scenery of the "Xunjiang River" and feeling the unique breeze on the river surface is very comfortable.
It embodies the wisdom and sweat of the Dong people, and the construction technique that does not require a single nail or rivet is unique.
On the wide covered bridge, homemade ethnic costumes made by the Dong people are for sale.
There are Dong ethnic song and dance performances in the scenic area in the morning and afternoon, and the last program invites tourists to dance together.
Many students from art academies come here to sketch.
It was built on the Xunjiang River in Sanjiang County in 2010. It has 7 bridge pavilions. Its length and scale are the largest in the world, and it can be called the world's first wind and rain bridge.
Now that you are here it is worth a look. The shape and structure of the bridge have withstood many years of wind and rain and still remain as elegant as ever.
The Sanjiang Wind and Rain Bridge, which was completed at the end of December 2010, does not seem to have experienced too much wind and rain...
Well, I have lived here since I was a child. It has always been so beautiful. Every time I go home, I don’t want to leave.
The ticket to Chengyang Fengyu Bridge is OK, 60. There are 8 villages in total, but they are similar, so there is no need to visit all of them unless you have time. You can drive in, park your car on the side of the road, visit one village, and then drive to another village, or you can park in the parking lot and take a local car out after the visit, which costs only a few yuan per person. If there are many people, the driver can take the car out and drive back to pick up the people.
Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge gives me a very ordinary feeling. The road from Sanjiang County to Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge is under construction. The road is not easy to walk. It takes an hour to walk more than ten kilometers. The reason for feeling ordinary is of course not only because the road is not easy to walk, but mainly because the scenic spot gives people a very ordinary feeling. I thought it was a very original ecological scenic spot, but it has been commercialized. Even if it is commercialized, there are indeed many places that need to be improved.
All the larger wind and rain bridges in the scenic area were set up by local villagers to sell goods, blocking the scenery on both sides of the bridge. After entering the village, I first felt that the infrastructure was not very complete. There were not many toilets, and many houses were being renovated and prepared to be transformed into hotels. There was also a drum tower being built for tourism. The road signs were not clear and it was easy to get lost.
Fengyu Bridge is a building with Dong ethnic style. It is also one of the most famous wind and rain bridges in the area. In Sanjiang Dong Township, there are many wind and rain bridges like Chengyang Bridge. There are more than ten on Linxi River alone. The "Badou Bridge" in Bajiang Township, "Patuan Bridge" and "Hualian Bridge" in Dudong Township are comparable to Chengyang Bridge in terms of craftsmanship. There are five stone piers in the river, and the bridge deck is made of fir and wooden boards. The amazing thing about its architecture is that the whole bridge does not need a single nail or rivet. The large and small strips of wood are chiseled and kissed, and connected with mortise and tenon. One has to admire the ingenious craftsmanship of the Dong people. There are railings and roofs on the bridge, as well as 5 multi-cornered pavilions, which have a unique Dong ethnic charm. Looking from a distance, the eaves are stacked layer by layer, and the eaves are slightly tilted outward, like a big hat. The bridge is built on the water, and the breeze blows over, bringing bursts of coolness. It is a good place to cool off in summer. The transportation is also very convenient. You can take a regular bus directly from Sanjiang County.
There are many wind and rain bridges in Guangxi, and Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge is probably the most famous one. It is said that there is not a single nail on the entire bridge. I am amazed at the greatness of the predecessors. The passenger flow is not very large, and it is a unique flavor of the small town. It is best to invite three or five friends to go together.
Seeing the scenery is worse than hearing the scenery. The only things worth mentioning about the Sanjiang Dong people seem to be the Wind and Rain Bridge and the Drum Tower. Take a walk in the village to see the local folk customs.

Sanjiang Wind and Rain Bridge. It is famous for being the largest and longest wind and rain bridge, but it is not a historical site. It was built in 2010. The wind and rain bridge was built by traditional craftsmen from the Dong village. Cars can pass in the middle and pedestrians can pass on both sides. It is beautiful and practical.
It is still a tourist attraction under development. I prefer natural things. Will it be too commercial like other tourist attractions after development? It is the mood of all travelers to leave its most natural side as early as possible!
After walking around for a long time, we arrived at the other side of Chengyang Bridge. The air in the mountain village after the rain was particularly fresh. The slightly moist land and the grass were still dripping with early morning dew. I was just walking around and taking pictures. There were few tourists, and it felt like a paradise. I always like scenic spots in the off-season, which are quiet and more lifelike.
On the Fengyu Bridge, I looked at the blue sky, white clouds, green mountains and green waters, and then I was in a daze. It was like a picture.
Our main gain here was that we finally stayed in a bar hotel with a better environment and complete facilities at the end of this trip. The other thing was that we saw the famous Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge. However, to be fair, the feeling and artistic conception brought to us by this commercial tourist attraction are very different from those of Dudong Township and Gaoding Village.
Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge, also known as Yongji Bridge and Panlong Bridge, is located 20 kilometers north of Guyi Town, Sanjiang County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the most famous of the many wind and rain bridges with Dong ethnic charm in Guangxi Zhuang area. It is the only Dong ethnic wind and rain bridge in China listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit and an outstanding representative of Dong ethnic architectural art. You can't miss the ethnic customs in Guangxi, and you can't miss Liuzhou to see the ethnic customs. The Miao festivals, Zhuang antiphonal singing, Yao dances and Dong architecture are known as the "four wonders" of Liuzhou ethnic customs. Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge is a typical Dong ethnic building. This wood and stone structure bridge across the Linxi River was built in 1916. There are five stone piers in the river. The bridge deck is made of fir and paved with wooden boards. The bridge is 64.4 meters long, 3.4 meters wide and 10.6 meters high. The peculiar and exquisite wind and rain bridge, the tall and majestic drum tower, and the unique folk houses, reflected by the green mountains and clear water, form a beautiful folk painting. Chengyang is not only famous for its wind and rain bridge, but also the scenery of Chengyang Bazhai condenses the essence of Dong culture. On the hillside next to Chengyang Bridge, you can see huge water wheels turning slowly, and the sound of water wheels is endless; not far away, the Dong stilt houses are lined up by the mountains and rivers, connected in layers. When you come to Chengyang, you often stay for three to five days, slowly observe and experience the living customs of the Dong people, and explore the existence of the Dong folk culture.
The village is really quaint. Even the newly built buildings still retain a lot of wooden structures, with wood used as the building frame.
I still remember that there was a picture like this hanging horizontally in the hall of my grandfather's house. I thought this bridge was very interesting and the surrounding scenery was also very beautiful. When I saw the introduction of this attraction, I was attracted by it and felt that I had a connection with this place. I unexpectedly came across it again and decided to go and take a look.
Fengyu Bridge is a representative of Dong ethnic architecture. It actually means that pedestrians can pass by to avoid rain. It is a wonderful combination of pavilion and bridge. (The scenic spot ticket is 60 yuan, and the student ticket is 30 yuan. The ticket seller took the initiative to give me a hand-painted map guide, which is very beautiful. If you don’t have it, ask her for it!)
Chengyang Bridge is a representative of wind and rain bridges, a typical Dong architecture, and the most famous of the many wind and rain bridges with Dong charm in Guangxi.
The people selling handicrafts on the bridge are all very old ladies. They don't shout out their wares, but just sit there quietly doing their handicrafts.
Very beautiful place~~~~ I have never seen such a beautiful wind and rain bridge!!! I will stay here longer next time~ It is said that there are many beautiful Dong villages nearby~~~
The impression is not good, not the scenery, but the fact that they stopped on the road to collect tickets. In fact, you can see the Fengyu Bridge and the panoramic view when you get on the bus. It is recommended to buy a longer distance ticket when taking the bus. The distance is only a few dollars more. Get off after the Fengyu Bridge, so you can avoid the ticket.
The Dong people used the best carved eaves and painted buildings on the "Wind and Rain Bridge". The Wind and Rain Bridge has double eaves with upturned corners, and there are paintings on the cantilevered columns and beams. The top and the upturned eaves are decorated with patterns of flying birds, gourds, cranes, etc. The whole bridge is magnificent and majestic, like a brilliant rainbow. It combines bridges, corridors, and pavilions in one. The amazing thing about its architecture is that the whole bridge does not need a single nail or rivet. The large and small strips of wood, planks, columns, and chiseled wood are kissed and connected with tenons. The diagonal straight sleeves are crisscrossed, with a rigorous structure and no error. The carvings and painted decorations on the bridge house and the corridor are rich and gorgeous. The bridge deck is paved with wooden boards, and there are benches on both sides of the corridor for pedestrians to rest, cool off, or avoid wind and rain. Sitting on the bench and looking into the distance, the slope is full of green trees. Between the slopes are patches of slightly golden rice fields. The waterwheel by the stream turns slowly, irrigating the farmland.

Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge is a typical Dong architecture. This wooden and stone structure bridge across the Linxi River is worth visiting in the eight nearby Dong villages.
Tickets are 10 yuan per person. This is the most famous wind and rain bridge in China. It is a wooden bridge, built entirely of wood without any nails. It has five roofs like the Forbidden City. It is a very distinctive bridge I have ever seen. There are two long beams on the bridge, which can be used as benches. Pedestrians sit or lie there, listening to the sound of the spring water and enjoying the caress of the breeze.
It is very pleasant to stay outside the village for a few days. This is the tea producing area. It is so delicious to make tea with the mountain spring water here. I also recommend going to Danzhou Scenic Area.
Very beautiful and quiet. In Sanjiang County. Here, time goes back 4 hours. There is no one at night, only the candlelight coming through the cracks in the wooden house.
Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge, also known as Yongji Bridge and Panlong Bridge, was built in 1912. This wind and rain bridge across the Linxi River is mainly made of wood and stone. It is a representative work of wind and rain bridges in Dong villages, the best preserved and largest wind and rain bridge at present, the crystallization of the wisdom of the Dong people, and an artistic treasure in Chinese wooden architecture. It is the only Dong ethnic group wind and rain bridge listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit.
According to historical records, the bridge is as famous as the Zhaozhou Bridge in Zhao County, China, the Luding Cable Bridge and the fictitious "Roman Steel Beam Novella Bridge", and is one of the four famous historical bridges in the world.
